- 1:41Speaker 1: To turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You probably got to turn the mouth, turn out the
- 1:47Speaker 2: word the money up.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Come come on you think, huh? I sure will? Good
- 2:03Speaker 6: morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 6: me now.
- 2:08Speaker 7: One and only Steve Harvein got a radio show, keep
- 2:12Speaker 7: saying it can't stop. Man, oh man, oh man, what
- 2:15Speaker 7: a journey it has been. I thank God for every
- 2:18Speaker 7: single step of the way. I learned to thank him
- 2:20Speaker 7: for the bad times too, because it taught me something.
- 2:24Speaker 7: All the bad times, all the failures, they became valuable
- 2:28Speaker 7: experiences in my life. Every time I failed, I learned
- 2:31Speaker 7: a little bit more about getting up. Every time I
- 2:34Speaker 7: was told no, it moved me one step closer to yes.
- 2:37Speaker 7: It made me stronger, It toughened my skin. It made
- 2:40Speaker 7: me learn how to deal with haters. It made me
- 2:43Speaker 7: learn how to deal with people who don't have your
- 2:46Speaker 7: best interest at heart. Man, ain't y'all all out there
- 2:49Speaker 7: feeling me on this one right here. It teaches you
- 2:52Speaker 7: who is who in your life. It shows you who
- 2:55Speaker 7: you can depend on and who you came. And at
- 2:58Speaker 7: the end of the day, what has taught me most
- 3:00Speaker 7: of all my hardships in my life?
- 3:02Speaker 8: And it's really about me and God.
- 3:04Speaker 7: That is the one factor that has been never changed
- 3:09Speaker 7: in my life. God has always been the same for
- 3:13Speaker 7: me and for you and for all of us. His
- 3:16Speaker 7: word is true. It don't waiver, it don't shake. You
- 3:20Speaker 7: can shape it. Readjust it if you want to. It
- 3:23Speaker 7: is really the way it's written. It really is. You
- 3:26Speaker 7: have your version of it if you want to. But
- 3:28Speaker 7: if you just read it the way it is, it's
- 3:30Speaker 7: real clear. Ain't no loopholes in it. Every time you
- 3:34Speaker 7: jump through a loophole, there's something over there written that
- 3:37Speaker 7: counters that. So is what I want to get to today.
- 3:41Speaker 7: Listen to me. You got it within you? Oh it's there,
- 3:47Speaker 7: Just use it. Listen to me close. You got it
- 3:50Speaker 7: within you, Oh it's there, Just use it. If you
- 3:55Speaker 7: hear me clearly, I'm really finn to show you something
- 3:58Speaker 7: this morning. Got it within you?
- 4:01Speaker 8: Oh it's that.
- 4:03Speaker 7: Just use it. Steve, what you're talking about see, here's
- 4:07Speaker 7: what's wrong with a lot of people. Here's what's stopping
- 4:10Speaker 7: so many people. You keep looking. We keep looking for
- 4:16Speaker 7: others to save us.
- 4:18Speaker 8: We keep looking.
- 4:20Speaker 7: For someone else to rescue us. We always looking for
- 4:24Speaker 7: some group of people or somebody to accept us. We
- 4:29Speaker 7: keep looking for someone else's approval. We always looking for
- 4:34Speaker 7: some group or somebody to deliver us, somebody, some group
- 4:39Speaker 7: of people to give us credibility, somebody or some group
- 4:44Speaker 7: of people who says we matter. We spend so much
- 4:49Speaker 7: time right there, and when the cavalry don't come over
- 4:52Speaker 7: the hill, when it ain't no saving, it ain't no deliverance,
- 4:56Speaker 7: And hey, you don't get accepted, and don't nobody really
- 4:59Speaker 7: come to save you, and there't nobody vouching for you
- 5:02Speaker 7: and giving you credibility and throw you into something? Nah,
- 5:06Speaker 7: you into this little state of man. I don't know
- 5:08Speaker 7: what I'm gonna do. Oh you got it within you,
- 5:11Speaker 7: Oh it's there, Just use it. You want to know
- 5:14Speaker 7: what the real deal is, y'all? It's you and God,
- 5:19Speaker 7: and it's the God in you. Man. I wish I
- 5:24Speaker 7: could explain this right to you today. I want you
- 5:27Speaker 7: to fill me on this right here and when you
- 5:29Speaker 7: shake everything out the way, get rid of all your
- 5:32Speaker 7: expectations of people. The relationship you thought was gonna last
- 5:36Speaker 7: forever that didn't make it, the child that you wanted
- 5:39Speaker 7: to be, this that turned out to be that, your
- 5:41Speaker 7: friend you thought was your friend, that stabbed you.
- 5:43Speaker 8: In the back. You found out they wouldn't.
- 5:45Speaker 7: The job you thought was gonna keep you and you
- 5:48Speaker 7: retire on they didn't, closed down, gave you a pink slip.
- 5:51Speaker 7: All of this. Man that promised that somebody told you
- 5:54Speaker 7: they was gonna loan you this money, and on loan
- 5:56Speaker 7: day they say they ain't got it. Oh man, oh man, man,
- 6:00Speaker 7: this money you thought was gonna come through on this check,
- 6:03Speaker 7: The check ain't there? Oh man? How many disappointments in
- 6:07Speaker 7: life can you get? You thought you had enough credit
- 6:09Speaker 7: hours to graduate. You found out two weeks before you didn't.
- 6:12Speaker 7: You can't graduate. Oh listen here, man, what's gonna helpen?
- 6:15Speaker 8: Man?
- 6:16Speaker 7: Look at the disappointment in my life right now. But
- 6:19Speaker 7: let me explain something to you. When you get rid
- 6:22Speaker 7: of all of that, guess what you really got. You
- 6:25Speaker 7: got God, that's the whole enchilada. Baby, that's the ball
- 6:29Speaker 7: of wax. That's the monkeys in the barrel, that's the
- 6:31Speaker 7: bag of chips.
- 6:32Speaker 8: Listen to me.
- 6:33Speaker 7: If you got God, do you understand that that's sufficient?
- 6:37Speaker 7: That that say all you need? Can you feel me?
- 6:40Speaker 8: Now?
- 6:41Speaker 7: You and God and the God in you, it's really
- 6:46Speaker 7: what you need. Stop looking for all these outside sources
- 6:50Speaker 7: for approval, to gain acceptance, to get credibility, somebody to
- 6:54Speaker 7: save you, the calvary coming over the hill. Why won't
- 6:57Speaker 7: they recognize me? Why won't they give me closure? Why
- 7:01Speaker 7: they fire me? Why they forek closing on my house?
- 7:04Speaker 7: Don't they know I'm laid off. When you get through it,
- 7:06Speaker 7: all of that whining, it's gonna come down to you
- 7:11Speaker 7: and God and the God in you. If God created
- 7:15Speaker 7: man in his own image, God is a part of you,
- 7:19Speaker 7: that is a piece of you that's godly. I don't
- 7:22Speaker 7: care who you are. I don't care what mistake you made.
- 7:26Speaker 7: The murderer that's sitting in jail today because of a
- 7:30Speaker 7: moment in his life that he's now paying for, has
- 7:33Speaker 7: God in him. The biggest criminal. When he gets through
- 7:38Speaker 7: criminalizing or whatever you want to call it, he's sitting
- 7:41Speaker 7: there by his self. That is a piece of God
- 7:44Speaker 7: in him that lets him know this ain't the way.
- 7:47Speaker 7: It's wrong. You can love his money if you want
- 7:50Speaker 7: to put you out of line, and you gonna pay.
- 7:52Speaker 8: At the end of the day.
- 7:54Speaker 7: When I get through on this microphone, on this TV,
- 7:57Speaker 7: all these articles, when I get through it all of that,
- 7:59Speaker 7: you know what it comes down to.
- 8:00Speaker 8: Because see, it ain't always been this way for me.
- 8:03Speaker 8: You know, I've been trying to get here, trying to
- 8:05Speaker 8: get that. Listen to me.
- 8:06Speaker 7: It's been me and God and it's been to God
- 8:09Speaker 7: in me. When I woke up a few years back
- 8:13Speaker 7: and I realized that's really what it was, it changed
- 8:16Speaker 7: my whole life.
- 8:18Speaker 8: It changed my whole life.
- 8:20Speaker 7: Your whole life can get changed when you realize that
- 8:23Speaker 7: it's really you and God and the God in you,
- 8:26Speaker 7: really man. People disappoint you. You argue with people, You
- 8:29Speaker 7: fall out with people, you break up with people, you
- 8:31Speaker 7: divorce people. You got people who you thought was friez.
- 8:34Speaker 7: All of a sudden you find out they talking about
- 8:36Speaker 7: it's crazy out of here. You be going, what's going on?
- 8:39Speaker 7: What's really going on? But that's cause guess what you
- 8:43Speaker 7: got all yours banked on them? When you going to
- 8:46Speaker 7: bank it on the one thing that you can count
- 8:48Speaker 7: on God's word ain't changed since we got here.
- 8:52Speaker 8: It's solid.
- 8:53Speaker 7: If you pray, believe, work hard, don't doubt you'll get
- 8:56Speaker 7: whatever you ask for. That's a fact that ain't no rumor.
- 9:00Speaker 7: Speakle out here doing it every day. Now, if you
- 9:01Speaker 7: ain't trying that, listen to me. You got it within you.
- 9:05Speaker 7: Oh it's there. You just gotta use it. There is
- 9:08Speaker 7: a weapon available to man called prayer. Use that.
- 9:12Speaker 1: See.
- 9:13Speaker 7: I look at my life, man, whenever I get a
- 9:14Speaker 7: little shaky, I look back. Oh hey man, I ain't
- 9:17Speaker 7: really talking with him too much yesterday. Oh, tighten up.
- 9:21Speaker 7: I'm just telling you real. You got a better answer.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Oh oh oh I know what. Oh my bad, Steve. Now, Steve,
- 9:28Speaker 7: I ain't winning costs. They ain't get me the loan
- 9:31Speaker 7: all now, Steve, I ain't winning costs.
- 9:32Speaker 8: She left me. He left me.
- 9:34Speaker 7: I ain't winning, Steve, because I got stuck with these kids.
- 9:36Speaker 7: I got a divorce. They fired me. They foreclothes on
- 9:40Speaker 7: my own. That's why I ain't winning. You ain't winning
- 9:42Speaker 7: because you ain't praying. You got to pray and believe
- 9:45Speaker 7: in work. That's the key. Come on, man, you got
- 9:49Speaker 7: it within you. Oh it's there. You just got to
- 9:52Speaker 7: use it. It's just you and God, and it's to
- 9:54Speaker 7: God in you. And what y'all gonna do about that?
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening morning show.

- 15:51Speaker 2: all this money for six years.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Now here it is now you finish graduate.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And now that you're finish graduate, she called herself wanting
- 15:58Speaker 2: to break up with me.
- 16:00Speaker 9: So but I mean, I don't know nothing about that.
- 16:02Speaker 9: That's between y'all. B I mean, what do you want
- 16:05Speaker 9: me to do?
- 16:06Speaker 7: What I want?

- 16:08Speaker 7: So I mean, and I understand that.
- 16:09Speaker 2: But what I'm saying, what I'm getting that is just
- 16:11Speaker 2: right here. I would like for you to at least
- 16:13Speaker 2: call your mama and say something to it on my behalf,
- 16:16Speaker 2: because you know, come on, man, I needn't put six

- 21:12Speaker 1: wear baseball caps a lot more, and I barely brush
- 21:15Speaker 1: my hair because I'm scared of brushing more out of it.
- 21:18Speaker 1: My girlfriend is saying to just let it go and
- 21:21Speaker 1: go bald. But what do you do if you don't
- 21:23Speaker 1: have a nice shaped head. I have been called water
- 21:27Speaker 1: boy all of my life because my head is bigger
- 21:30Speaker 1: than most and should I just bite the bullet and
- 21:32Speaker 1: shave it.
- 21:33Speaker 7: Yeah, man, you can have a big ass ball here.

- 22:17Speaker 7: And they have not found a cure for ball this yet.
- 22:20Speaker 7: In men, that dude gonna make a million dollars.
- 22:25Speaker 9: Now.
- 22:25Speaker 7: They got them things out there now, them lace fronts
- 22:27Speaker 7: and all that for men and all that stuff. You
- 22:29Speaker 7: can go get one of them, man, But I don't know, man, huh,
- 22:35Speaker 7: I'm expensive.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Man, you don't want to keep paying for that?
- 22:38Speaker 8: Well, you know, if you don't, well, okay, then we come.
- 22:41Speaker 2: On, come on outside, come on, walk over.
- 22:45Speaker 8: You know it's all right over here.
- 22:47Speaker 1: But Steve, you have to say, though, when you first
- 22:50Speaker 1: went bald, you weren't sure about the shape of your head, right,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you were real happy once you shaved it up. I
- 22:55Speaker 1: remember that morning you called, all.
- 22:56Speaker 7: Yeah, you were cool with it. Yeah, but like, here's
- 23:00Speaker 7: the deal though, Now you don't even have to do that.
- 23:04Speaker 7: You can get a computer rendering of your head. Oh yeah,
- 23:09Speaker 7: they got that. Now they take a picture, they give
- 23:11Speaker 7: you a computer rendering of it. You can see what
- 23:14Speaker 7: you would look like with no hair.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Okay, all right, yes, yeah they got that.
- 23:18Speaker 8: Now they got everything.
- 23:20Speaker 7: You got options, Yeah, you got but now he already no,
- 23:24Speaker 7: he got a big head. He's yeah, so he just
- 23:30Speaker 7: got to come on.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, don't be all right, Yes, already has
- 23:34Speaker 1: a girlfriend. All right, we're moving on. Caylin and Saint
- 23:38Speaker 1: Louis says. I'm thirty three, and I have four older
- 23:40Speaker 1: brothers that think they can control me. I've always been
- 23:43Speaker 1: attracted to older guys, so I've secretly dated guys that
- 23:47Speaker 1: my brothers know. For the past few months, I've been
- 23:50Speaker 1: dating my second to the oldest brother's best friend, and
- 23:53Speaker 1: he's keeping me a secret. Now I'm trying to figure
- 23:56Speaker 1: out if he's using my brother as an excuse to
- 23:59Speaker 1: keep our relationship on the low, or if he's got
- 24:02Speaker 1: something else going on. I'm old enough to do what
- 24:05Speaker 1: I want. So what's the worst that can happen If
- 24:08Speaker 1: I tell my brother.
- 24:10Speaker 7: His brother gonna beat his friend's hand.
- 24:14Speaker 8: That's what the deal is.
- 24:18Speaker 7: That's what the deal is, because brothers, men have a
- 24:22Speaker 7: man cold law. Don't do my little sister dog, don't
- 24:26Speaker 7: come over here with your mess. And then your older
- 24:29Speaker 7: brother knows him really, really well, so now he know
- 24:34Speaker 7: where the skeletons is buried.
- 24:37Speaker 8: You know, he know all the other.
- 24:38Speaker 7: Chicks and how recent these other chicks were and any
- 24:46Speaker 7: other thing. So that's what he worried about. But you
- 24:50Speaker 7: can talk to him about it and say, hey, man,
- 24:52Speaker 7: you're gonna go sit with my brothers and explain to
- 24:55Speaker 7: him that we love each other.
- 24:57Speaker 8: But I don't hear love in him. Y'all just seeing
- 24:59Speaker 8: each other.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Just keep there dating. They're just dating right now.
- 25:03Speaker 7: And you have to keep asking yourself to all these
- 25:05Speaker 7: older men that you keep dating. They want to keep
- 25:07Speaker 7: you a secret, and you want to keep them a secret.
- 25:09Speaker 7: Why is it such a big secret?
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Miriam and San Diego. My husband and
- 25:16Speaker 1: I are in our early sixties, and my husband likes
- 25:20Speaker 1: takes our four year old grandson to soccer three days
- 25:23Speaker 1: a week. After practice the other day, my grandson asked
- 25:26Speaker 1: if Joshua and Miss Kelsey could come over. He said,
- 25:29Speaker 1: Joshua is his friend and Miss Kelsey is his granddad's friend.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Ask if Joshua played soccer like him, and he said no,
- 25:37Speaker 1: Joshua plays karate. He said that Joshua comes to soccer
- 25:40Speaker 1: practice and they get pizza afterwards. Do I need to
- 25:43Speaker 1: find out who Miss Kelsey is? Or do I ignore this
- 25:46Speaker 1: four year old?
- 25:49Speaker 8: So you're gonna break up your family over folio?
- 25:52Speaker 9: May? Oh?
- 25:53Speaker 1: Wow, that's much. That's a man answer right there. See,
- 25:57Speaker 1: because I'm a man, answer this kiss.
- 26:00Speaker 7: So you go sit up here unless some four yo
- 26:04Speaker 7: old would imaginary freeing names all a bit of what
- 26:10Speaker 7: we got.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Oh that's the lie.
- 26:14Speaker 7: You got to be kidding me. Don't talk to me
- 26:19Speaker 7: no more like that. And I'm not taking this boy
- 26:22Speaker 7: to soccer practice no more.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well, if if you do, I'm going with you.
- 26:27Speaker 1: How about that, I'll take them the soccer pressure. Don't
- 26:33Speaker 1: meet missus Kelsey?
- 26:35Speaker 5: All right?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Moving on? Your men stick together, don't you here? We
- 26:44Speaker 1: go Ye, Foxy, and Toledo says. I am a thirty
- 26:48Speaker 1: eight year old single woman and I need to get things.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Something's off my chest down at my job. I'm almost
- 26:55Speaker 1: six feet tall and I sit in a cubicle all
- 26:57Speaker 1: day trying to be a happy camper. But every hour
- 27:00Speaker 1: I need to relieve myself, stretch my legs and have
- 27:03Speaker 1: a cigarette. I sit across from Darren, the male Karen,
- 27:07Speaker 1: and he has always got something to say about the
- 27:10Speaker 1: time I spend away from my little desk. He said,
- 27:12Speaker 1: I smell like a smokestack and my music is too loud.
- 27:15Speaker 1: If I catch Darren out away from work, can I
- 27:18Speaker 1: curse him out?
- 27:19Speaker 7: Yes? Yes, As a matter of fact, Listen to me,
- 27:22Speaker 7: there's a way you can do it at work.
- 27:26Speaker 8: I've done it before, which is.
- 27:28Speaker 7: Probably one of the reasons I don't have no jobs.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Listen to me, lean over in Darren's ear when ain't
- 27:35Speaker 7: nobody looking, lick your lips and put your lips up
- 27:39Speaker 7: against his ear, because he gonna think it's about something else.
- 27:43Speaker 7: As soon as you put your wet lips up against
- 27:46Speaker 7: his ear, say, if you keep blanking with me. I
- 27:55Speaker 7: almost slapped the sugar honey Ice temped your face.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Thank you, Celo. You're listening hard Morning show. All right, Steve,

- 52:29Speaker 1: To Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty five year old man
- 52:31Speaker 1: with two kids and a step daughter by my wife.
- 52:35Speaker 1: I love my family, but I have come to a
- 52:37Speaker 1: breaking point with my wife. For the second time in
- 52:41Speaker 1: four years, she has left the home and cut off
- 52:43Speaker 1: all contact with me and the kids. The first time
- 52:47Speaker 1: she left, she ran off with a man that she
- 52:49Speaker 1: met online. She bought a bus ticket and wrote, rode
- 52:53Speaker 1: out west and didn't contact us for a month. Eventually,
- 52:57Speaker 1: the guy dumped her and she reached out to me.
- 53:00Speaker 1: I ended up sending her four hundred dollars for her
- 53:02Speaker 1: to get back home. Earlier this summer, I was grilling
- 53:06Speaker 1: and the kids were in the pool. My wife said
- 53:09Speaker 1: she had to run to Walmart to get a few things.
- 53:12Speaker 1: We have not seen her since then. The kids and
- 53:16Speaker 1: I rode all around town looking for her that night
- 53:18Speaker 1: and the next day. I kind of figured she'd left
- 53:21Speaker 1: us again, but I didn't want to upset the kids.
- 53:24Speaker 1: I filed a missing person's report with the police, and
- 53:27Speaker 1: the police told me since she'd left before, they wouldn't
- 53:31Speaker 1: open an investigation right away. I posted pictures on Facebook,
- 53:35Speaker 1: and instantly I got all kinds of messages saying that
- 53:38Speaker 1: she'd been seen around our city and a few cities
- 53:41Speaker 1: close by. I wasn't surprised, and I waited for her
- 53:45Speaker 1: to call home. After forty five days, she called, saying
- 53:49Speaker 1: she needs to come back home and she is ashamed
- 53:53Speaker 1: of what she keeps doing to the family. I told
- 53:56Speaker 1: the kids she called and is ready to come home.
- 53:58Speaker 1: They said I shouldn't let her come back, and we'd
- 54:01Speaker 1: be just fine without her. We've been married fourteen years,
- 54:06Speaker 1: and I've kept the marriage together for the kids. But
- 54:09Speaker 1: now they're saying to throw her and the whole marriage away.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Do you think I should take their advice or give
- 54:14Speaker 1: my wife one more chance? Please advise? Well, I mean,
- 54:19Speaker 1: you know, the decision, of course, is ultimately up to you.
- 54:23Speaker 4: What you do.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Should you take the kid's advice or give your wife
- 54:28Speaker 1: one more chance? Is that what you want to do? Well,
- 54:32Speaker 1: it's certainly not what the kids want you to do,
- 54:34Speaker 1: because they're sick of her, they really are, and they
- 54:37Speaker 1: let you know so you can let yourself off the hook.
- 54:40Speaker 1: They want you to stop feeling guilty about all this.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Your wife leaving and coming back and running off with
- 54:46Speaker 1: some man she met online, and you know, just not
- 54:51Speaker 1: hearing from her, no contact for forty days and a
- 54:54Speaker 1: month forty five days. What is all of this? And
- 54:57Speaker 1: then you have two kids, and one of them is
- 54:59Speaker 1: her daughter. She's sick of her mom too. They want
- 55:03Speaker 1: a divorce from her, and really, so should you at
- 55:06Speaker 1: this point. Your wife doesn't care about you, she doesn't
- 55:08Speaker 1: care about the kids. And your kids, I don't know
- 55:12Speaker 1: how old they are. You said they were in the
- 55:13Speaker 1: pool while you were grilling, but I mean they're cool
- 55:16Speaker 1: just with being with you, dad. I just say, I'm
- 55:20Speaker 1: saying sorry here, but your wife is trifling and she's
- 55:23Speaker 1: a horrible mom. I mean, is she on drugs or something?
- 55:27Speaker 1: What is going on with her? Who just walks out
- 55:30Speaker 1: on her family and comes back like nothing ever happened.
- 55:33Speaker 1: I'm sure this is devastating for your children, I'm sure
- 55:35Speaker 1: it is. Who does this? Why should they have to
- 55:41Speaker 1: continue to go through this time and time again? They
- 55:44Speaker 1: can't be secure, they can't, you know, they're unsure of themselves.
- 55:49Speaker 1: And why should you have to continually go through this?
- 55:52Speaker 1: Who can live like this. I just you know, you
- 55:55Speaker 1: never know from one day to the next if you'll
- 55:57Speaker 1: have a mom or if you're a wife or not.
- 56:01Speaker 1: I say, pack her bags, put yourself and your kids
- 56:04Speaker 1: out of this revolving door of a marriage, and tell
- 56:07Speaker 1: your wife that you and the guys will be just
- 56:10Speaker 1: fine without her. She's selfish and that's what the kids
- 56:12Speaker 1: want you to do anyway, But unless you really want
- 56:16Speaker 1: to do it, and I don't see why you wouldn't,
- 56:19Speaker 1: I don't know, don't let her back. Okay, she's a
- 56:22Speaker 1: source of misery for you, guys.
- 56:24Speaker 8: Steve, Well, let me start by saying this to you.
- 56:31Speaker 7: It ain't a good look when your kids is smarter
- 56:36Speaker 7: than you, right, you know, it just ain't a good look.
- 56:43Speaker 7: Let me just start there. Okay, all right, here we go.
- 56:49Speaker 7: You a thirty five year old man, got two kids
- 56:51Speaker 7: and a stepdaughter. I love my family, but you had
- 56:56Speaker 7: a break in point. For the second time in four years,
- 57:02Speaker 7: she'd have left home, cut off all contact with me
- 57:05Speaker 7: and the kids. The first time she first time she left,
- 57:11Speaker 7: she ran off with a man she met online. She
- 57:13Speaker 7: bought a bus ticket and rolled out west. What a
- 57:18Speaker 7: trifling this badass decision. Who buys a bus ticket to
- 57:26Speaker 7: ride out west? You know, like she in a Western
- 57:30Speaker 7: or something. Go west, young man, fortune out there. And
- 57:37Speaker 7: she left you for a dude that sent her a
- 57:40Speaker 7: bus ticket, from a man that has a house with
- 57:47Speaker 7: a swimming pool in it in the backyard, grilling.
- 57:50Speaker 8: She left you for a man that sent her a
- 57:53Speaker 8: bus ticket.
- 57:58Speaker 7: Your wife is not a bright person. The kids are,
- 58:05Speaker 7: the wife is not. So let's try to make some
- 58:09Speaker 7: sense of it. And she bought a bus ticket rode out.
- 58:14Speaker 7: She didn't contact us for a month. Damn man, that's
- 58:18Speaker 7: hard it's hartful. Eventually the god dumped her. She reached
- 58:22Speaker 7: out to me. I ended up spending four hundred dollars
- 58:25Speaker 7: for her to get back home.
- 58:27Speaker 8: Now you obviously bought a plane ticket.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Hold on, We'll hold on, Steve, hold that up, God,
- 58:33Speaker 1: just hold it, hold it. We'll have part two of
- 58:36Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Today's subject my wife keeps leaving me and coming back.
- 58:43Speaker 1: We'll get into it right after this. You're listening Hardy
- 58:47Speaker 1: Morning show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 58:51Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject my wife keeps leaving me and
- 58:55Speaker 1: coming back.
- 58:58Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, she been doing it. Second time in four years.
- 59:07Speaker 7: She done left. The first time she left with a
- 59:10Speaker 7: man she met online. She bought a bus ticket and
- 59:13Speaker 7: rolled out west. I knew this relationship was doomed. You
- 59:20Speaker 7: meet a dude online, he's buy you a bus ticket,
- 59:25Speaker 7: all right? Eventually got dumptor. You ended up sending four
- 59:30Speaker 7: hundred dollars for her way to get back home. Yost
- 59:33Speaker 7: it that bought the airline ticket. Clearly you care more
- 59:37Speaker 7: about her than the dude online. Now hit a good
- 59:42Speaker 7: one right here. Earlier this summer, I was grilly, kids
- 59:46Speaker 7: was outside in the pool. My wife said she had
- 59:52Speaker 7: to run to Walmart to get a few things. We
- 59:55Speaker 7: ain't seen her.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Ass s horrible?
- 59:59Speaker 7: What did she What happened at the walmart? This is bad?
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: The kids and I rode around town looking for her
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: that night and the next day what.
- 1:00:17Speaker 8: And the next day.
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: Then the dude said, because he got tuition, I kind
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: of figured she left us again. I ain't want to
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: upset the kids, so I filed a missing person report.
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: Police told me, since she left before, they wouldn't open
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: then investigation right away. Then you put some pictures on Facebook,
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: and everybody started calling you telling you I saw that
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: helper doll, that Earl Turner's right, Well, I saw up
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: at Abigail's. She was at the Speak Easy Too, that
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: she came into tab on Friday. They just saw her everywhere. Yeah,
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: you know, she old bro that go do country stuff.
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: You know this ain't no big city chick.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Oh okay, because of the bus.
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: So I wasn't surprised. And I waited for her to
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: call home after forty fat days so crazy. This help
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: of call back home says she's ashamed of what she
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: keeps doing to the family. Shirley says something right. Is
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: she on drugs because this guy crackhead rolled all over it? Yeah?
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: Yeah, matter of fact, let me let me let me,
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: let me let me back it down a little bit.
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: Is she on meth? Let me tell you what when
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: you see her look at her teeth real good? Why
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: because if you won't, matthe your teeth is shot. Oh
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: you ain't see the Tiger king?
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Yeah I saw, yeah his man.
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: Did you see his mouth?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: I don't care what your sexual preference is. You they
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: want somebody with some better looking.
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: Teeth than that. Damn, you got to have your mouth right.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: You have to, you have to.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: Now I told the kids she called and ready to
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: come home. The kids said, don't let her come back.
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: We just fine without it. You know, you messed up
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: when your kids don't want their mama.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: No more, your blood daughter, your blood daughter.
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: We've been married fourteen years, and I've kept the marriage
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: together for the kids. Now this is interesting because now
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: they're saying to throw her in the whole marriage away.
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: So if she had a stepdaughter, the stepdaughter got to
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: be at least fifteen, because y'all only been together for
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: fourteen years. Unless she had the baby while she was
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: on the bus.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Trip, she could have.
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Crazy right here she is.
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: Do you think I should take their advice or give
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: my wife one more chance? Let me ask you something, bro,
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: give your wife one more chance to.
- 1:03:07Speaker 8: Do what to leave a third time?
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: Please advise, brother. I don't even know why you struggling
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: with her. This is not a sign of a person
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: that's no longer any in love with you or her family.
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: She loves something else.
- 1:03:22Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: I ain't saying she owned drugs. It do sound like
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: drugs to me because she go on these benches. I
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: don't know what's wrong with her, but if the kids
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: deserve better, you seem like a good man, you probably
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: get you a good woman.
- 1:03:37Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: Me personally, I'm just this just Steve Harvey talker.
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: Please don't tweet and facebook me about my responses because
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: you know I don't really care no more. I really don't.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: I done got sixty three. I don't got real comfortable
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: with what I'm saying on this show. I divorce, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: I'm divorcing her.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Thinking has real choice.
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: I'm divorcing her. I'm not living like this is clear.
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: You don't want me and these kids.
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: I don't want to see sending the kids through it,
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: and I want somebody to agree with me and the
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: kids and be in the pool.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: You could leave your husband and your kids.
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: You will leave me or somebody that bought a bus ticket. Yeah,
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: that's what I'm throwd off that I could see if
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: you came up. You didn't even go lateral. You just
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: took a step down. You rode a bus out west.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: We don't even know where that is. I mean y
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: out west, just west.
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, probably just went western Mississippi, ended up ended
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: up in Mississippi.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Just wherever.
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: Yeah, this is she's a she's.
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: A bad woman. She's not a good person. I'm dealing
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: with them. You can do what you want to do.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: But he thank you, Steve. Post your comments on Today's
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. You're listening
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: hard morning show. All right, Steve, your nephew is here
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: with things you whisper. You have to come on now.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: You gotta know, there are some things that you just whisper.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: You know, you know, when you're in the middle of
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: something it's going down and it ain't going right. That's
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: some things that you just whisper all the time. You
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: under what I'm saying, Verily, you hear me, get that? Yeah,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: he said, I know a lot of them. Okay, when
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: you whisper, But there are some things that you whisp. Okay,
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: now I'm just gonna ask. I'm just gonna ask you.
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: Shut up.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: J I'm just.
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: Thank I'm just gonna ask you on though.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: Have you ever been in that moment where there's things
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: that you just whisper?
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: How you said?
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: Okay, but if you have been, I'm not. I'm not
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: going to do this, man, But tell me the things.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Tell me when you've been in the heat of the
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: moment that you just knew you needed to whistle.
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: Well, all of mine ain't been in the heat of
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: the moment. Mine has been other times.
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: Like what like here on your.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: God, that's a good whisper, that's a good ques.
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: That's a good question. That's a good question.
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: What else? What else? Uh hm?
- 1:06:59Speaker 8: I my wife just walked in.
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: One God.
- 1:07:07Speaker 9: Yeah, that's.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: The dance floor. Yeah, you're just having a good time.
- 1:07:15Speaker 7: Yeah you Yeah, you're at the Saucer club with your boy.
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: The girl tripped and showed up at the same club
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: you at.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: That's good, y'all got on? Okay, things you need to
- 1:07:31Speaker 8: whisper your daddy.
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: We're talking about Malcolm.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Malcolm, Yeah, Malcolm, my daddy.
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: I got one for you. The police in here?
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: What what did you say?
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: The police in here? Which one? Ignorant?
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: Ignorant show boy?
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: All right, thank you, nephew. I think we get the point.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: You're listening, Harvey Morning Show. Here's a question for you, guys.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Is your partner your best friend? Were you friends before
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: you came romantic? You know it seems, despite the popularity
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: of dating apps, most relationships start the old fashioned way.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: That's right, Most of them do with people who are
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: friends first. In fact, researchers have found that sixty six
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: sixty six percent of people were platonic friends with their
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: partner before starting a romantic relationship. So, Steve, I gotta
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: go to you. Do you believe there are benefits to
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: being friends with someone before you date them?
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: I mean, it is, It's not necessary, but it is,
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: But it's not necessary. And a lot of relationships start
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: the other way first, they get physical before they're good friends. Yeah,
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: and I'm right right now, I'm married to my best
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: friend because I ain't got nothing. You ain't got no what.
- 1:09:28Speaker 8: I ain't got no real friends.
- 1:09:30Speaker 9: Though you know I ain't.
- 1:09:32Speaker 7: I don't really have no dudes I share everything with.
- 1:09:36Speaker 8: I just don't. I've grown out of that space.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: I want to ask you this because this always puzzled me.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: What about people who are friends? They're really, really good friends.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: We have a lot of strawberry letters about this. They're
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: really good friends, and then they try to be romantic
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: and it doesn't work out and the friendship gets all
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: weird after that. Thanks you know.
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: Look, look, look, look, look I said one hundred time,
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: so I'm not gonna stop saying if a man is
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: attracted to you, it's hard for him to stay your friend.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Right, we said that all about.
- 1:10:09Speaker 7: I don't know how, I don't and I don't know
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: why we keep debating this thing. If a man is
- 1:10:16Speaker 7: attracted to you, it's gonna be really hard for him
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: to stay your friend.
- 1:10:20Speaker 8: It's really hard. So let's just notice.
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: If you know that you're attractive to this guy, and
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: y'all just friends, it's just until you see a crack
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: in the door.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Yeah, a physical friends friend? What a physical like a
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: friend with benefits about.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: We're gonna be physical, but we're gonna be friends.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: You know what.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: That's not a physical friend. That's a kind of relations
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: that's a friends with benefit type.
- 1:10:53Speaker 8: That's a sexual relationship.
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: Call it what you want to call it. It's a
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: sexual relationship and eventually feelings on one one of the
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: parts it's gonna.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Get in there, usually the woman, Usually the woman exactly. Yeah,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: that's what I love you in love?
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: Man't nobody sign up for love. It's sposed to be
- 1:11:13Speaker 7: just a nice physical says the host. Are ready to love.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Radio Tommy and Stevie, Tommy, I got you, I got you.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: You ain't all the way crazy, Tommy.
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: Far from it, Steve.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: It is still your contention that men and women it's
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: hard for them to be friends without being physical.
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: That is that what you're saying if the man is
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: attracted to you, I've never seen what?
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: How?
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: What that's that?
- 1:11:56Speaker 17: So then the question is what we just brought up,
- 1:11:59Speaker 17: Shirley with this with the segment to be friends? Can
- 1:12:02Speaker 17: you first and then date? And you're saying that if
- 1:12:07Speaker 17: you are friends and that man is a try the woman.
- 1:12:14Speaker 17: But you said what we're trying to say, if you're
- 1:12:15Speaker 17: gonna be friends first and then you're gonna date, how
- 1:12:18Speaker 17: does that work if you say men and women can't
- 1:12:20Speaker 17: be friends.
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: If a man is attracted to you, eventually, when there's
- 1:12:25Speaker 7: a crack in the door, he's going to annoy if
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: he can put his foot into the door.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and be more than friends.
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: With these relationships that turn start out that way, you
- 1:12:37Speaker 7: can turn out and blossom into wonderful and beautiful relationships.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: It can happen then sometimes.
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: And that's a great way for it to start because
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: you started as friend. It's a great thing to happen.
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: Now here's a sad part attracted to you.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Yea, we got to go, Steve, hold on, we gotta go.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with more of this Steve
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after right after this.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're back, Steve.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Let's try to clear this up once and for all
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: if we can, because there's so much debate about this.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Can men and women be friends? And once they cross
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: that physical line, can they still be friends? Because sometimes
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: that gets weird. So so let's let's try to clear
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: this up because it is a debate, ongoing debate between
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: men and women. All the time. You say what.
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: Man did you.
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: Then?
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: And every time this way I'll be telling them you
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: say the same you say it.
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: Men and women can be friends only if the man
- 1:13:50Speaker 7: does not find the woman attracted or is not attracted
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: to her for.
- 1:13:56Speaker 8: Whatever the reason.
- 1:13:57Speaker 7: If a man finds you, ave and is attracted to
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: you and is your friend, I want you to understand
- 1:14:05Speaker 7: that the moment there is a crack in the door,
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: a chink in the armor, and he see a way
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: he can fit in and be more than your friend more.
- 1:14:12Speaker 7: You'll do that, absolutely, he will unequivocally. Now, can you
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: start a friendship that way and it blossom into a relationship? Yes?
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: And you know why the blossom into a relationship because
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: he's been attracted to.
- 1:14:26Speaker 8: You the whole time.
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: Period.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: Now here's the sad part that.
- 1:14:32Speaker 8: You don't want to hear.
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: Okay, if the man is not attracted to you or
- 1:14:37Speaker 7: find you unattracted, you can be his friend.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Okay, all right, we'll be debating this for centuries to come.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: All Right, more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: up at thirty three minutes after. Right after this, you're
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, time Now for
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: would you rather? Would you rather take care of your
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: friend baby or your friend's dog?
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Give me that dog? Give me that dog? Man, Yeah, now,
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: I got that dog. I ain't got I ain't got
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: this rock that dog. I ain't got the birth that dog.
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: Yeah, your dog can't tell on you, So give me
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: the dog because I'm gonna study your damn dog. I'm
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: gonna let his ass goby.
- 1:15:25Speaker 8: I beat him.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: Forgot your baby? You be looking for your We both
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: do the dog. At least I can feed the dog,
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: and the dog will do what he got to do.
- 1:15:32Speaker 7: Well, I'm gonna tell you right now, I'm not I'm
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: going to forget your dog.
- 1:15:38Speaker 13: Yeah, but you will you at least will you at
- 1:15:43Speaker 13: least feed the dog? Will you at least do that?
- 1:15:45Speaker 7: Oh?
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I don't abuse that at all.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: I'm gonna get to feed that baby.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: I don't I know.
- 1:15:52Speaker 9: I am.
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: Okay, dog and you fall in the swimming pool. You
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: need to your dog.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: They don't know they competital til they get in there.
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: They don't know they can do it that they get
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: in it.
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: We're moving on.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Would you rather the painful truth? The painful truth? Or
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: would you rather a comforting lie?
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna take that lie.
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: Because I'm always for the comforting line. Unique.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: You don't want another truth?
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: Lie me? Man?
- 1:16:27Speaker 8: Yeah, a good comforting lie. I appreciate the effort. What
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: do you want to know?
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: All three comedians on this show we cool with line.
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: We cool with it.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Another truth? Wow?
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: Truth, If you can really lie to me and make
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: me feel good about.
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: It, I won't lie.
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: I'm gonna figure something out. Don't worry about that.
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: But the fact that you tried, see lied, lets me
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: know you.
- 1:16:57Speaker 8: Tried the pain for truth. Let's let's delay that pain
- 1:17:04Speaker 8: as long as probably.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Hear it and get it over with. All right, all right?
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Would you rather a dirty kitchen or a dirty bathroom?
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: Oh god, one of you girls.
- 1:17:20Speaker 9: I take it.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Dirty kitchen, yees, a dirty bathroom me too.
- 1:17:26Speaker 9: Let me know.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: You put your effort in, but that bathroom, your ass
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: is nasty.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: You is nasty.
- 1:17:34Speaker 14: I'm so funny about bathroom, Yes, Junior, Yeah, yeah, all right.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: Would you rather have massive success by accident for modest
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: success on purpose?
- 1:17:56Speaker 15: A massive accidental success? Massive, massive, lucky?
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: We want to I want abundance. All right?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: have some closing remarks from Steve Harvey, and it's our
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: last break of the day. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: All right, Steve, here.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: We are our last break of the day. It's been
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: a good Thursday, unt. It's been an ignorant Thursday.
- 1:18:29Speaker 8: Thank you very much.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: You made good on your promise.
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I told you what I was gonna dos.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Yes you did.
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: It's been a good Thursday though.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Good to be back in all of that, and time
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: for you to get us out of here with some
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: closing remarks and inspiring words like you always do.
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: I want to encourage people, but I got to tell
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: you the truth about it. You know, it's sort of all.
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: I've decided to go forward with the truth as I've
- 1:18:58Speaker 7: learned it, and I've decided to ignore naysayers and people
- 1:19:05Speaker 7: who don't want to hear the factual part of how
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: difficult success is. But if you explain it to people
- 1:19:13Speaker 7: and they understand that you've gone through the hardships of
- 1:19:17Speaker 7: trying to become successful yourself, when they face hardships, I
- 1:19:20Speaker 7: think they can see it better for themselves. And Dion
- 1:19:25Speaker 7: Sanders told me one time. He says, Steve, stop throwing
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: the life raft to people swimming away from the boat.
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: He said, just throw your life raft to them people
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: that want to be saved. So and that's saved in
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: just a and an analytical sense or an analogy that
- 1:19:46Speaker 7: he was using in terms of people who want to
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: be motivated or encouraged or given the tools for success.
- 1:19:53Speaker 7: So in light of that, here's something else I want
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: to remind people love because people don't like to hear
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: about the uncomfortable side of it. You know, they want
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: to just go. You know, I want to sleep long
- 1:20:04Speaker 7: as I want. You got to get this much sleeping. Okay, Fine, Fine, fine.
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: I had to come to that resolution after speaking the
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: truth about sleep as I know it. As I know it,
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: I can't tell you anything I don't know. I don't
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: know how to be successful sleeping a third of your life.
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: I don't know anyone that made it to success sleeping
- 1:20:29Speaker 7: a third of their life. I just don't know anybody. Now,
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: if you're wealthy, you can sleep eight hours, but if
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: you're trying to get there, I just don't know anybody
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: that's done it that way. And that's all I was
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: trying to speak about. So what I'm about to share
- 1:20:45Speaker 7: with you now is another thing. See, and I want
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: you to understand something about when you see people with
- 1:20:53Speaker 7: what you considered convenient lives, Convenience is built by inconvenience.
- 1:21:02Speaker 7: It's just the way it is. Convenience is built by inconvenience.
- 1:21:09Speaker 7: If you want to have a convenient life, you are
- 1:21:13Speaker 7: going to have to inconvenience yourself on many, many occasions,
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: and it won't be just some every now and then.
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: In order to have a convenient life, you are going
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: to have to spend a great deal of your current
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: life being inconvenient. It's the only way it's done. For
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. That's a
- 1:21:41Speaker 7: scientific law, but it's also a spiritual law. If you
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: do good to everybody, good will come to you. If
- 1:21:50Speaker 7: you do evil to everybody, evil gon't come your way.
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: So convenience is built through inconvenient. For every action, there's
- 1:22:02Speaker 7: an equal and opposite reaction. So if you put out evil,
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: the equal and opposite reaction will be the equal is
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: you gonna get evil to The opposite is is you
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: won't be putting it out, It'll be coming back to you.
- 1:22:18Speaker 8: So do you understand what I'm trying to say?
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: So if you want a life of convenience, it is
- 1:22:24Speaker 7: built through inconvenience. Another way to look at it is
- 1:22:28Speaker 7: and what I just had to come to terms with
- 1:22:30Speaker 7: on my journey to success. And this is not a negative, y'all.
- 1:22:34Speaker 7: It's okay, because success is very, very hard.
- 1:22:38Speaker 9: It just is.
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: Man. I wish I could tell people it's not hard,
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: but it is. You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
- 1:22:50Speaker 7: If you're trying to be comfortable, you're going to have
- 1:22:54Speaker 7: to get okay with being uncomfortable for stretches at a time.
- 1:23:02Speaker 7: I'm sorry, I'm sorry if that doesn't sound right to you.
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: But if you talk to successful people, they will share
- 1:23:10Speaker 7: that information with you that you have to be comfortable.
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable because it's uncomfortable
- 1:23:19Speaker 7: to become successful. It's inconvenient to become successful, it really
- 1:23:25Speaker 7: really is. But these are things that you have to
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: be willing to cope with to get the equal and
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: opposite reaction. The equal part is this inco the opposite
- 1:23:38Speaker 7: part is this inconvenience will become convenient.
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: That's It's just.
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: That's the way it works.
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: I wish I could. I don't know if I'm saying
- 1:23:49Speaker 7: it to you the way I want to deliver a message,
- 1:23:52Speaker 7: But I'm just trying to get you to understand that
- 1:23:54Speaker 7: it's okay. But in your moments of uncomfortableness, moments of inconvenience,
- 1:24:03Speaker 7: you can rest assured that God is with you all
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: the way that God didn't say your life would be easy.
- 1:24:13Speaker 7: Faith doesn't make it easy. Faith makes it possible. And
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: all you want to know is that what I'm going
- 1:24:22Speaker 7: through will create the possibility of me becoming successful, then
- 1:24:27Speaker 7: I'm willing to go through the necessary pains and gross
- 1:24:31Speaker 7: and everything to become successful. And if you got God
- 1:24:36Speaker 7: in your life, he can give you the strength, the power,
- 1:24:41Speaker 7: the will to endure anything. With Christ, all things are possible.
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: Faith doesn't make it easy. Faith makes it possible. You've
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: got to understand that that's my best.
