- 1:47Speaker 2: the mony.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 7: Come on, you'll think that, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 7: Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 8: You all listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 8: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:11Speaker 8: I got something I want to share with you today.
- 2:12Speaker 8: I was I was in the gym this morning and
- 2:16Speaker 8: trained son send him a text, And he sent him
- 2:19Speaker 8: a text this morning of a dude in the gym
- 2:22Speaker 8: lifting up huge weights, dumb bails, doing a bench press like,
- 2:28Speaker 8: you know, just huge dumb baills, you know stuff I
- 2:31Speaker 8: ain't doing, you know, hundreds some pounds, not really sure
- 2:35Speaker 8: was huge. I've never seen dumb balls this big. And
- 2:37Speaker 8: the man was pressing him and Lee's son took a
- 2:40Speaker 8: picture of him, and he sent this to his father
- 2:43Speaker 8: this morning.
- 2:43Speaker 7: His father shared it with me.
- 2:45Speaker 8: I want to share it with y'all because man, I
- 2:47Speaker 8: can't tell you how It's explained so much of your life.
- 2:51Speaker 8: And when he showed the man lifting this excessive weight
- 2:54Speaker 8: in the gym, he said, wow, Pop, look at this
- 2:56Speaker 8: dude right here. The caption he put onder it was,
- 2:59Speaker 8: don't pray for it to be easier, pray for you
- 3:02Speaker 8: to be stronger. Ain't that cold?
- 3:05Speaker 7: See?
- 3:05Speaker 8: I was thinking about that. As soon as he said it,
- 3:07Speaker 8: I said, Man, I gotta go on the radio. I
- 3:09Speaker 8: gotta tell everybody what I see. Now, don't pray for
- 3:13Speaker 8: it to be easier, pray for you to be stronger. Okay,
- 3:18Speaker 8: let me tell you how important that is now. I
- 3:20Speaker 8: just heard it that way today, and I'm sharing it
- 3:22Speaker 8: with you immediately because you know what that has. It's
- 3:25Speaker 8: gonna help me a lot, because oftentimes I've done it indirectly,
- 3:30Speaker 8: and then sometimes I've done it all the wrong. I've
- 3:32Speaker 8: sometimes I've actually prayed for it to be stronger, but
- 3:36Speaker 8: I've also prayed sometimes for it to be easier. I
- 3:39Speaker 8: have done that and been guilty of it myself. But
- 3:42Speaker 8: from now on, after hearing that, I'm changing my prayer
- 3:45Speaker 8: because see, you can't have it both ways.
- 3:47Speaker 7: You can't be strong and.
- 3:48Speaker 8: Weak at the same time. Now, if you keep asking
- 3:51Speaker 8: God to make it easier. What you are not asking
- 3:55Speaker 8: him for is for you to be able to handle
- 3:56Speaker 8: whatever happens. So the next thing that comes along that
- 3:59Speaker 8: you ain't worked your muscles on to prepare you for,
- 4:03Speaker 8: that's gonna sink you too. So what I learned by
- 4:06Speaker 8: that is sometimes even I got to change my prayer too.
- 4:11Speaker 8: Now I do most of the time, but I'm a
- 4:12Speaker 8: human being and sometimes I just want it to go away.
- 4:15Speaker 8: But now, what I really need to pray for is
- 4:17Speaker 8: to strength all the time to deal with whatever besets me,
- 4:20Speaker 8: whatever comes in my way. Because to become successful, and
- 4:24Speaker 8: we've talked about this how many times, it's hard. So
- 4:28Speaker 8: since knowing is gonna be hard, why not ask for
- 4:31Speaker 8: the strength to handle that. See, stop praying for weaker moments,
- 4:35Speaker 8: stop praying for it to be easier. Stop asking God
- 4:38Speaker 8: to make your weight playing and easy. Okay, now what
- 4:42Speaker 8: now you ain't worked your muscles out to learn how
- 4:44Speaker 8: to handle nothing.
- 4:45Speaker 7: I was at it this morning. I put a little
- 4:46Speaker 7: more weight on it. In order to grow.
- 4:49Speaker 8: I got to change. And you can't change if you're
- 4:52Speaker 8: gonna stay the same. You can't keep picking up the
- 4:55Speaker 8: same forty pound dumb bails and you want some more results,
- 4:59Speaker 8: you gonna keep getting it. If you keep doing what
- 5:01Speaker 8: you've been doing, you gonna keep getting what you've been getting.
- 5:04Speaker 8: You cannot grow without the change. So when we talking
- 5:07Speaker 8: to God and we're asking God to make it easy
- 5:10Speaker 8: for us where to growth at, where to change at? No,
- 5:14Speaker 8: you got to ask God to make you stronger, not
- 5:16Speaker 8: to make the situation weaker.
- 5:19Speaker 7: I'm changing my prayers.
- 5:20Speaker 8: Man, I'm going at him now with just just make
- 5:23Speaker 8: me strong enough to handle whatever happened, whatever come my way.
- 5:26Speaker 7: Give me the strift of handler.
- 5:27Speaker 8: And now whatever I see in front of me that
- 5:29Speaker 8: I'm trying to go after, that's gonna require more.
- 5:31Speaker 7: Give me the strift to do that too.
- 5:33Speaker 8: Help me be a stronger man, Help me be a
- 5:37Speaker 8: stronger person, Help me be a stronger woman, a stronger boy,
- 5:43Speaker 8: a stronger girl, a stronger student, a stronger boss, a
- 5:47Speaker 8: stronger employee, a stronger leader, a stronger follower.
- 5:51Speaker 7: Give me that. Give me strift to do that.
- 5:54Speaker 8: Stop asking for it to be simple and easy and
- 5:56Speaker 8: paved the way what you want, man, the road to
- 5:59Speaker 8: success is always under construction.
- 6:01Speaker 7: Always, it ain't ever paved and smooth and easy. Look here.
- 6:05Speaker 8: Man, go out there todays, try to be successful. See
- 6:07Speaker 8: what you're gonna run into. Man, it's orange barrels, it's workers,
- 6:10Speaker 8: it's detools, it's got craters in the road with no
- 6:14Speaker 8: wanting signs on it. That's how hard it is to
- 6:16Speaker 8: be successful. The road to success is always under construction.
- 6:21Speaker 8: It ain't finnsh smooth out for you. You got to
- 6:23Speaker 8: ask God for strength. Be what you're supposed to be. Now, listen,
- 6:26Speaker 8: look at him when you make a mistake, and you're
- 6:29Speaker 8: gonna make them.
- 6:30Speaker 7: We all do.
- 6:32Speaker 8: We fall down, but we get up. A saint is
- 6:37Speaker 8: just a sinner who felled down, but he didn't stay there.
- 6:41Speaker 8: That's all A saint is. All these Christians running their
- 6:44Speaker 8: mouth with you about how fired up and saved they
- 6:48Speaker 8: on all this, got all that, but them people. Them
- 6:51Speaker 8: people make mistakes all the time, all the time. And
- 6:55Speaker 8: see the moment we as Christian people start telling people
- 6:58Speaker 8: the truth about being Christian, most people can get interested
- 7:02Speaker 8: in it. But if you gonna tell everybody this lie
- 7:05Speaker 8: that you over here living this perfect life and everything
- 7:08Speaker 8: and ever since you came to God, your life been
- 7:10Speaker 8: smooth and you don't have no and he then took
- 7:12Speaker 8: all your pains?
- 7:13Speaker 7: Await, what what?
- 7:15Speaker 9: Who are you?
- 7:16Speaker 7: Where that life at?
- 7:18Speaker 8: You're talking about Heaven now, ain't you? But I heard
- 7:20Speaker 8: you had to die to go there? So what you're
- 7:22Speaker 8: really talking about? Come on, man, I'm talking to the
- 7:25Speaker 8: cat that's in some real pain right now, that's in
- 7:28Speaker 8: some real trouble right now. The dude is at the
- 7:31Speaker 8: crossroad right now, the dude that's been struggling and dealing
- 7:34Speaker 8: with it for a long time. I'm talking to the
- 7:36Speaker 8: cat that's out there, been trying to figure out what's
- 7:38Speaker 8: wrong man, why I can't seem to get it right.
- 7:42Speaker 7: That's who I'm talking to. I'm saying, come over here
- 7:44Speaker 7: and give God a try.
- 7:46Speaker 8: Come over here with your imperfect self, with your imperfect ways,
- 7:49Speaker 8: and watch him change some things about you.
- 7:52Speaker 7: Watch him give you the strength. See what he did
- 7:54Speaker 7: for me.
- 7:55Speaker 8: Let me okay, See, best way I can do is
- 7:56Speaker 8: just tell you what happened to me. See what it
- 7:58Speaker 8: did for me was he just took me and took
- 8:02Speaker 8: how it was and made me better with it. I'm
- 8:06Speaker 8: still an aggressive man, I'm probably not gonna ever stop
- 8:09Speaker 8: being aggressive. But he took that aggression and he starts
- 8:12Speaker 8: shaping it Now for the first twelve minutes in the morning,
- 8:15Speaker 8: be aggressive about me. Be aggressive about the feelings you
- 8:18Speaker 8: got towards me, your father, your leader, your God, your savior.
- 8:21Speaker 7: Be aggressive, man. Tell people how you made it, Steve aggressively, since.
- 8:25Speaker 8: You want to, Since you're aggressive and you've been aggressive,
- 8:28Speaker 8: I made you be aggressive with that. Now, since you
- 8:32Speaker 8: like that, tell it like it is, Steve. Then tell
- 8:35Speaker 8: the truth of how it really is. How I do
- 8:37Speaker 8: for you, what I done for you. Tell everybody you
- 8:39Speaker 8: know what I've done for you in a plain, simple
- 8:42Speaker 8: way so they can feel you. See, he ain't changed me.
- 8:45Speaker 8: He just made me better with it. When you get loud, hey, man,
- 8:49Speaker 8: every now and then and get loud for me. You
- 8:51Speaker 8: know you want to tell some jokes, you real funny,
- 8:53Speaker 8: tell some funny, but let it be so more people
- 8:56Speaker 8: can hear it.
- 8:57Speaker 7: See, that's what he did for me.
- 9:00Speaker 8: So if all you cats out there that's scared to
- 9:01Speaker 8: come on over here because you scared it's gonna change you,
- 9:04Speaker 8: turn you into some little punk. Now you got to
- 9:06Speaker 8: come over here and beat this little meek lamb laid
- 9:08Speaker 8: off the slaughter every Sunday. That ain't what it is
- 9:11Speaker 8: over here. God looking for men. God looking for for
- 9:15Speaker 8: real soldiers out here. See everybody I talk to you
- 9:18Speaker 8: don't want to hear about Christianity. So I ain't got
- 9:20Speaker 8: nothing from there.
- 9:21Speaker 7: How about that? How about that? I'm cool with that.
- 9:24Speaker 8: See every Christian ain't turning another cheek. I ain't there
- 9:27Speaker 8: you slap me?
- 9:28Speaker 10: Man?
- 9:29Speaker 7: I ain't. Man, I'm sorry, I don't. I don't know.
- 9:31Speaker 7: I ain't there yet.
- 9:32Speaker 8: But see I'm a work in progress. He ain't through
- 9:34Speaker 8: with me yet. I might get to the point where
- 9:36Speaker 8: I can turn my other cheek.
- 9:38Speaker 7: I doubt it. I ain't.
- 9:39Speaker 8: I ain't looking for I ain't praying for that one.
- 9:41Speaker 8: I'm I'm for real about you, man, I'll be praying
- 9:44Speaker 8: for most strength. So when you do slap me, when
- 9:47Speaker 8: I come back around, I come back nice hard slap me.
- 9:51Speaker 8: You won't slap me twice. I can promise you that.
- 9:53Speaker 8: Where am I going with this?
- 9:54Speaker 7: Steve? Huh, I'm sorry. Just remember what I told you.
- 9:57Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning.
- 10:04Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:10Speaker 8: Even though it bears my name, it would be nothing
- 10:12Speaker 8: without my compadres.
- 10:15Speaker 7: My Ace Boon, Coon buzzet back Buddies, my ride or Die.
- 10:23Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, this show is comprised of several elements inspiration, motivation, education,
- 10:32Speaker 8: and the rest of it is pure illogical ignorance.
- 10:38Speaker 7: Heavy on the ladder.
- 10:41Speaker 8: Thank you for joining us. That right there was the
- 10:45Speaker 8: educational part. I was just being informative now because of
- 10:51Speaker 8: the way I feel today.
- 10:52Speaker 7: Let me give you a little bit of motivation. God
- 10:56Speaker 7: is good.
- 10:58Speaker 8: God's timing is perfect. God has never left you. He
- 11:03Speaker 8: is always there. He is working on your behalf, even
- 11:08Speaker 8: though you don't know it. If you've prayed about it,
- 11:13Speaker 8: don't worry about it. And if you're gonna worry about it,
- 11:18Speaker 8: then don't bother praying about it. Hold the faith not
- 11:25Speaker 8: by what you see, but by what you believe. Faith
- 11:30Speaker 8: is a belief in things that you cannot see. Now
- 11:34Speaker 8: that we've done that, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the ignorance.
- 11:38Speaker 8: Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica. The legend that
- 11:43Speaker 8: is Nephew Tommy Junior is out today.
- 11:45Speaker 7: Well, everybody, what's going on? Everybody?
- 11:47Speaker 10: Good?
- 11:48Speaker 4: Yes?
- 11:48Speaker 3: Good?
- 11:49Speaker 11: On in side.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I got a question about Okay, go ahead, what is
- 11:55Speaker 1: your biggest priority in your life right now?
- 12:00Speaker 7: My biggest priority in my life.
- 12:04Speaker 8: Is trying to continually develop the necessary relationship with God
- 12:12Speaker 8: that's needed to maintain and further my life. Because if
- 12:17Speaker 8: I take care of that, everything else will fall into place.
- 12:23Speaker 8: If I take care of my faith, if I take
- 12:26Speaker 8: care of my relationship with God, he will order my steps.
- 12:31Speaker 8: He will protect me from my enemies. He will provide
- 12:36Speaker 8: all of my needs. And I mean and right now
- 12:40Speaker 8: I'm in the wonk column. So he provides my needs,
- 12:44Speaker 8: gives me the desires of my heart, positions me. He
- 12:51Speaker 8: has my name in rooms that I'm not yet in.
- 12:56Speaker 8: He has given me a valuable, valuable brand and reputation.
- 13:02Speaker 8: And it's just the feeling of being safely tucked under
- 13:09Speaker 8: his wings. That right there is priority. Like you get
- 13:15Speaker 8: that you can be a better husband, better father, better man.
- 13:18Speaker 7: Period.
- 13:19Speaker 11: Right, go, all right, let's go all right.
- 13:22Speaker 12: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:25Speaker 12: hear from the nephews.
- 13:26Speaker 11: We run that brank back right after this.

- 14:49Speaker 13: is the real deal. So let's go catch dog, Jean.
- 14:52Speaker 13: I got your girl?

- 15:28Speaker 13: she really wanted to shut it down with you. We've
- 15:30Speaker 13: been seeing each other for a minute now, so I
- 15:34Speaker 13: don't know how we can, you know, I'm just coming
- 15:36Speaker 13: at you like a man, brother, trying to let you
- 15:38Speaker 13: know she don't even really want.
- 15:39Speaker 7: You no more. You know, we done talked about it,
- 15:43Speaker 7: talked about it, and I'm just trying to get it all.
- 15:46Speaker 10: I know.
- 15:48Speaker 7: I'm tired.
- 15:48Speaker 13: I'm tired of hiding with it. Really, okay, okay, well,
- 15:53Speaker 13: you know it's a lot smooth than I expected. Player
- 15:59Speaker 13: it is what it is. I mean, long as long
- 16:00Speaker 13: as you long?
- 16:02Speaker 7: Was you cool? I thought, you know, I just want

- 16:12Speaker 10: I mean you said it's a lot smooth than you
- 16:14Speaker 10: thought it was gonna be.
- 16:15Speaker 13: Well, you know, anytime something another man from the call,
- 16:18Speaker 13: another man by his wife, I mean, yeah, you don't
- 16:20Speaker 13: expect it to be nothing. You know, pretty simple, that's

- 16:28Speaker 7: To hell withem, So I've been had your number. I
- 16:32Speaker 7: had your number a long time.
- 16:37Speaker 10: Now you say you're looking U there's a lot smooth

- 16:58Speaker 13: be looking for me or something. Brother, Look look at it.
- 17:01Speaker 13: Let's check this out. This is a decision that the
- 17:03Speaker 13: wife has made. You understand what I'm saying. So you
- 17:06Speaker 13: have no reason to be mad at me about anything.
- 17:09Speaker 13: You have no reason to be coming looking for me
- 17:10Speaker 13: or any information on me, because see, when that happens,
- 17:13Speaker 13: then it's gonna really get stinky up in here.
- 17:15Speaker 7: And I'm trying not to let that happen. That's why
- 17:17Speaker 7: I'm calling you like a man.
- 17:18Speaker 6: Brother, Trust me.
- 17:20Speaker 10: Say, it ain't nothing that I'm never worried about.
- 17:22Speaker 13: Okay, Well, I'm just letting you know. Man, I'm letting
- 17:24Speaker 13: you know up front, she with me and her contemplated.
- 17:27Speaker 7: A long time.
- 17:28Speaker 13: Y'alla YadA, So now you know here we are. So
- 17:30Speaker 13: I said, you know, what the hell with it? I'm

- 17:33Speaker 10: Should get this on the phone together out of respect
- 17:35Speaker 10: that both y'all.
- 17:36Speaker 4: A lot more.
- 17:37Speaker 13: Okay, Well, you know, and then you know, if that's
- 17:39Speaker 13: what it's got to be, we be face to face together,

- 17:50Speaker 13: it is.
- 17:50Speaker 10: Then what I ain't gonna never be flat footed?
- 17:54Speaker 13: Okay, flat footed or upside down any way you want
- 17:57Speaker 13: to look at it. Bro, I'm trying not to get
- 17:59Speaker 13: it to this physical part. But it seemed like you
- 18:01Speaker 13: leaning that way with me.
- 18:03Speaker 10: It could be what up? You know, it could be
- 18:05Speaker 10: on this side of the deror the other side. It
- 18:06Speaker 10: don't make a difference.
- 18:07Speaker 13: It never does, brother, It never does. When two bulls
- 18:11Speaker 13: come together, one of them got to go down.

- 18:15Speaker 10: got my information? Guess what now I'm lockloaded and hunting
- 18:18Speaker 10: for you.
- 18:19Speaker 7: You lock and loaded.
- 18:21Speaker 10: There's no need for you to say it. There's no
- 18:22Speaker 10: need for us to discuss anymore.
- 18:24Speaker 13: Okay, cool, you know no matter while we're at it, Man,
- 18:26Speaker 13: let me go and drop it all on you then,

- 18:34Speaker 13: I think you need you know, matter of fact, if
- 18:36Speaker 13: you want to just keep it all the way real,

- 19:18Speaker 13: given you as much information as I already have, that
- 19:20Speaker 13: means I have enough information to know where you are.
- 19:22Speaker 7: Brother, you know nothing about me nor where I reside.
- 19:25Speaker 13: So if you're gonna talk about locking load, then somebody
- 19:27Speaker 13: got to go, then you're saying it to the wrong person.

- 27:32Speaker 7: a fire. You only say the bike, this a car.
- 27:35Speaker 11: Or fill it up so she doesn't have to worry
- 27:37Speaker 11: about it.

- 27:42Speaker 11: She should teach him a lesson tonight.
- 27:44Speaker 7: All right, Hey, y'all the wife you ain't the mama.
- 27:55Speaker 11: Whatever?

- 28:05Speaker 12: young age. I had assumed he would tell me before
- 28:08Speaker 12: he became sexually active, but he's sneaky. I want to
- 28:12Speaker 12: be a cool dad, so he'll talk to me. How
- 28:14Speaker 12: do I achieve that m king already hit eight eight
- 28:21Speaker 12: seventeen year old young lady?
- 28:22Speaker 8: Yeah, well that's year bla. I'll just tell you what
- 28:26Speaker 8: I told my son. I said, son, listen to me.
- 28:31Speaker 8: You must always, at all times be respectful of a
- 28:34Speaker 8: young lady who do not put them in a position
- 28:38Speaker 8: where they have to find for themselves as a baby.
- 28:41Speaker 8: And you skip to the new my dollar, you gonna

- 28:47Speaker 8: going to be active, you have to have protect that
- 28:49Speaker 8: ain't no need to be talking about some upstanding not
- 28:51Speaker 8: not in this world they live in today. That yeah,
- 28:54Speaker 8: since you went out love because the internet makes it
- 28:57Speaker 8: virtually impossible for a child up stage in this society.
- 29:01Speaker 8: It's too much in your face, it's too much. So
- 29:05Speaker 8: I just talked to him about respectability. You got to
- 29:07Speaker 8: get your son to slow it down a little bit
- 29:09Speaker 8: of it. Now, let me tell you something. It's too
- 29:10Speaker 8: late for to stop that conversation.
- 29:13Speaker 11: Once you.
- 29:15Speaker 8: It is your quest until you die, yes, die, never
- 29:21Speaker 8: ever it is your Listen to me.
- 29:25Speaker 7: That is the one thing you cannot do.

- 29:33Speaker 7: That don't never go out of style.
- 29:36Speaker 11: It don't let me ask you this.
- 29:40Speaker 12: Should he have talked to a son before seventeen, Before
- 29:43Speaker 12: he got to seventeen.
- 29:45Speaker 7: He thought, he, well, they probably had the conversation. Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 7: you probably know they had the conversation before that.
- 29:52Speaker 11: Well I had assumed the dad said I had.
- 29:56Speaker 7: He would before too. Well you assume wrong.
- 30:01Speaker 8: Now, Dad, you gotta sit down, saw it down to
- 30:03Speaker 8: talk about respectability.
- 30:06Speaker 7: Sex.
- 30:06Speaker 8: You can't just run through people like this. That's a
- 30:09Speaker 8: cost factor for that. Yeah, yeah, you have to pay
- 30:13Speaker 8: for that though. Diseases penicilla, that's.
- 30:17Speaker 7: Out of style.
- 30:18Speaker 8: Yeah, I heard nobody mentioned pencillic. Pencilic do nothing out here,
- 30:24Speaker 8: no more.
- 30:24Speaker 12: All right, we gotta go. Coming up at the toe
- 30:27Speaker 12: will be hour. We'll have some entertainment news for you
- 30:29Speaker 12: right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. According
- 30:39Speaker 12: to US News, President Donald Trump is receiving backlash for
- 30:43Speaker 12: his recent remarks he made about undocumented immigrants performing farm labor.
- 30:48Speaker 12: This was doing a during a CNBC interview. Trump has
- 30:52Speaker 12: changed his position on undocumented immigrants working on farms, moving
- 30:57Speaker 12: from demanding the single largest mass deportation program in history
- 31:01Speaker 12: to declaring accommodations must be made for them. The president said, quote,
- 31:06Speaker 12: we can't let our farmers not have anybody. You know,
- 31:09Speaker 12: these are these people there. You can't replace them very easily.
- 31:15Speaker 12: They do it naturally. Naturally. Trump went on to say,
- 31:19Speaker 12: people that live in the inner city are not doing
- 31:21Speaker 12: that work. They're just not doing that work. They've tried,
- 31:24Speaker 12: We've tried, everybody tried.
- 31:27Speaker 11: They don't do it. It's a lot in that.
- 31:31Speaker 8: He has so much racism going on. Yeah, all these immigrants,
- 31:39Speaker 8: they do it naturally, just good at it. And then
- 31:41Speaker 8: they in one of the parts of the statement, they said,
- 31:44Speaker 8: oh you know, somebody said, you know, and like even
- 31:47Speaker 8: if they get a bad back, he said, I asked
- 31:50Speaker 8: one of the farmers, when they get a bad back,
- 31:53Speaker 8: what do they do, because that's hard.
- 31:54Speaker 7: He said, if they get a bad back, they die.
- 31:58Speaker 7: You did say something like that, Yo, bruh. You know,
- 32:02Speaker 7: but the inner city come in. I didn't. That didn't
- 32:05Speaker 7: get by me because in the city they're not doing
- 32:09Speaker 7: that work.
- 32:10Speaker 11: They're just not doing that work. Tried.
- 32:12Speaker 8: But see, I told you this push to get rid
- 32:17Speaker 8: of illegal immigrants will backfire. Illegal immigrants are the fiber
- 32:24Speaker 8: of this country. Now, if you want to get rid
- 32:27Speaker 8: of criminals, ain't nobody got a problem with that, But
- 32:30Speaker 8: you're getting rid of hard working, good people.
- 32:33Speaker 7: You don't have a system for to move forward, for citizenship.
- 32:38Speaker 7: You don't have that. So these people right here.
- 32:41Speaker 8: There's an opportunity over here that Republicans, rich people have presented,
- 32:48Speaker 8: and they come over here to take advantage of it.
- 32:50Speaker 8: Now you realize him and Elon Musk is stupid. Now
- 32:56Speaker 8: everybody gone. Now you ain't got all that food, man,
- 32:59Speaker 8: They was showing just acres and acres of food just spoiled,
- 33:04Speaker 8: dying on the vine. Because these people are scared to
- 33:07Speaker 8: come to work because they gonna get deported and they can't,
- 33:10Speaker 8: and you've deported.
- 33:11Speaker 7: Many of them.
- 33:12Speaker 8: So that's it's it's just ignorance. I'm gonna tell you another.
- 33:17Speaker 8: You think the farmers are suffering, construction is suffering too.
- 33:22Speaker 8: See see they're just not talking about that. But let
- 33:26Speaker 8: me explain something to you. Yeah, because once again the
- 33:31Speaker 8: fiber of this country, restaurants are suffering. Restaurants, farmers, and construction.
- 33:39Speaker 8: I told you all this before we do an election.
- 33:42Speaker 8: Go ahead call it.
- 33:44Speaker 7: Well, my question is the inner city remark. Who is
- 33:47Speaker 7: he talking to? Is that back to job?
- 33:49Speaker 8: Come on, you know that we've made it clear we're
- 33:53Speaker 8: not picking any We've clearly made that decase.
- 33:58Speaker 11: Yeah, we've done done our time, thank you, I'm.
- 34:02Speaker 7: Not picking Yeah, you'll get me on distribution. First.
- 34:07Speaker 11: Yeah, but wait, there's more on our President.
- 34:14Speaker 7: Zippi.
- 34:16Speaker 11: I've got that all right, here we go, and other news.
- 34:23Speaker 12: According to TV Insider, there is a rumor that CBS
- 34:26Speaker 12: may not choose to renew Gail King's contract with the
- 34:29Speaker 12: network when it ends in May of next year. President
- 34:33Speaker 12: Trump responded to the story with his post on his
- 34:35Speaker 12: Truth social media platform, saying, quote, Gail King's career is over.
- 34:40Speaker 12: She should have stayed with her belief in Trump. She
- 34:42Speaker 12: never had the courage to do so. No talent, no ratings,
- 34:45Speaker 12: no strength. What that's the end of that quote. Meanwhile, yeah,
- 34:51Speaker 12: I mean that's why that's why we say President petty okay,
- 34:54Speaker 12: because what is he in Gail King's contract for?
- 35:00Speaker 14: Yes?
- 35:01Speaker 9: What?
- 35:03Speaker 12: Meanwhile, Gail and all of her graciousness, responded and said
- 35:07Speaker 12: she's so sorry the president feels that way, and told
- 35:09Speaker 12: TMZ quote, I'm going to continue to do a good job.
- 35:13Speaker 11: And she went on to say.
- 35:14Speaker 12: She's in good company on Trump's hit list. She's got
- 35:16Speaker 12: Taylor Swift on there, Bruce Springsteen, and Stephen Colbert.
- 35:21Speaker 11: So now she's on there. I mean, come on, let
- 35:24Speaker 11: it go.
- 35:25Speaker 12: This is you're the President of the United States. You
- 35:28Speaker 12: have global impact. Okay, and you're worried about Gail King's contract.
- 35:33Speaker 7: You know what, really didn't we Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 8: Yeah, you did it, but you didn't know. You didn't
- 35:39Speaker 8: know to the degree everything. Yeah, nobody understood. Nobody understood
- 35:47Speaker 8: the impact that Elon Musk would have. Nobody. Here's the

- 35:58Speaker 8: Even on Fox they said, no, these are the numbers,
- 36:03Speaker 8: and they are bad right now because they just went
- 36:06Speaker 8: in there. They took all those people's jobs, and all
- 36:09Speaker 8: these people voted for Trump, and you just took these
- 36:12Speaker 8: people's jobs without care because you let a billionaire make
- 36:17Speaker 8: a decision about a regular person. You got another brother
- 36:20Speaker 8: from billionaire family, which is Trump making all the decisions.
- 36:24Speaker 8: He has an all uppity, handpicked a cabinet of people
- 36:30Speaker 8: who don't know nothing about what they doing, put.
- 36:32Speaker 11: The positions they're in. Nothing.

- 36:39Speaker 8: he had neurosurgeon, what are you talking about housing for.
- 36:44Speaker 6: Make?
- 36:46Speaker 7: Then they got Linda Mann, who was in charge of
- 36:49Speaker 7: a WWL. Why is she in education? What dem of
- 36:55Speaker 7: what is large? Taylor fit to do.
- 37:01Speaker 11: Speak of Harvey, he walked up there, he.
- 37:05Speaker 8: Said, I don't even know why I'm here, but I'm
- 37:07Speaker 8: here to say, and then just walked off.

- 38:07Speaker 12: August fifth was the second anniversary of the Montgomery river
- 38:11Speaker 12: Front Brawl. Remember that last year, and people on social
- 38:15Speaker 12: media are calling it chairteenth. We all remember it was
- 38:18Speaker 12: a couple of years ago, I should say, we all
- 38:20Speaker 12: remember back in twenty twenty three, a group of white
- 38:22Speaker 12: boaters beating up a black riverboat co captain on the
- 38:25Speaker 12: Montgomery river front. The co captain made an announcement asking
- 38:29Speaker 12: the boat goers to just move there pontoon boats, and
- 38:32Speaker 12: they refused.
- 38:33Speaker 11: When the co captain.
- 38:34Speaker 12: Arrived on the deck, he was attacked by the group
- 38:37Speaker 12: and that's when he threw his cap in the air
- 38:40Speaker 12: and it was basically.
- 38:41Speaker 11: On from there. We all saw it. We all saw it.
- 38:45Speaker 12: So shout out to the then sixteen year old deckhand
- 38:48Speaker 12: who swam the Alabama River, remember him to help his
- 38:51Speaker 12: co captain. This brawl highlighted the division of race relations
- 38:55Speaker 12: in this country.
- 38:57Speaker 11: That quite frankly still exists. Yeah, they named the chair team.
- 39:03Speaker 7: That's what that was.
- 39:04Speaker 11: Oh yeah, and find out.
- 39:08Speaker 7: And find out the greatness of me though.
- 39:12Speaker 8: My favorite person and all that, other than the kid
- 39:15Speaker 8: that swam over there was the doc, the brother that
- 39:20Speaker 8: worked on the dock.
- 39:21Speaker 7: When he threw that hat in his ass, he got
- 39:23Speaker 7: both hands up.
- 39:25Speaker 8: I'm going to work, and i know I'm out numbered,
- 39:27Speaker 8: but I'm finna go to work first person in though
- 39:29Speaker 8: you sleep.
- 39:31Speaker 7: First one and you sleep, we're gonna be We're gonna
- 39:34Speaker 7: be down one. Yeah, he was the co captain. That
- 39:37Speaker 7: was like, we all saw that hat going there.
- 39:40Speaker 11: It was like a signal.
- 39:44Speaker 8: But then the brothers that was upstairs that saw it running.
- 39:51Speaker 7: Okay, we can do that everywhere.
- 39:55Speaker 11: They come together, come together like that.
- 39:58Speaker 7: Everywhere.
- 39:58Speaker 3: We would be amazing, come together though, right now, go ahead,
- 40:06Speaker 3: Beatles and Michael Jackson.
- 40:10Speaker 10: Right.
- 40:11Speaker 8: Oh, I know I'd have been on that doc clown
- 40:15Speaker 8: I'm talking about, because you have had the chair.
- 40:19Speaker 12: Yes, but there was no reason for them to jump
- 40:22Speaker 12: on him. He was just asking them to move their boat. Yeah,
- 40:27Speaker 12: that's all he was doing, and they don't.
- 40:28Speaker 7: Yeah, that was terrible when Cal got down that one.
- 40:39Speaker 11: Remember that day, August fifth. Every year it's charity.
- 40:44Speaker 7: Y'all putting something on the grill on this weekend.
- 40:47Speaker 12: It's not an official holiday, yet we can still have
- 40:53Speaker 12: a cookout. Yeah, cheerity, throw that hat up in the air.
- 41:03Speaker 4: All right.
- 41:06Speaker 12: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, Steve,
- 41:09Speaker 12: we're gonna check your voicemail.
- 41:11Speaker 11: See what the people want to know. Ask you all
- 41:13Speaker 11: of that.
- 41:14Speaker 12: Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 41:18Speaker 12: We'll hear from the listeners right after this. You're listening
- 41:21Speaker 12: Steve Hardy Morning Show. It is time now to check

- 41:46Speaker 7: Good morning, Stephen Cool.
- 41:49Speaker 14: I just want to say, you go in on Steve mate.
- 41:55Speaker 15: You are the king of comedies for real.
- 41:59Speaker 14: Go in on his a because he ain't got no
- 42:02Speaker 14: business talking nothing bad about Michelle Obama because she was
- 42:07Speaker 14: the best first lady of all times.
- 42:10Speaker 6: Her and Barack.
- 42:12Speaker 15: I loved them before they became president, the first family
- 42:17Speaker 15: of the United States of America.
- 42:20Speaker 12: I loved them.
- 42:21Speaker 14: After they left office.
- 42:23Speaker 15: But I still to this day gonna love him forever,
- 42:27Speaker 15: forever and ever. Yes, I thank God that they was
- 42:32Speaker 15: the best president and first lady of all times. So
- 42:36Speaker 15: when you go up against Stephen A, give them all
- 42:39Speaker 15: you got, which I know you're gonna do anyway.
- 42:42Speaker 14: Because act he make you cuss him out.
- 42:45Speaker 15: Thanks Steve, you the bomb.
- 42:49Speaker 7: Well, first of all, thank you. First of all, thank
- 42:53Speaker 7: you very much for all you said.
- 42:55Speaker 8: I didn't know if I don't think you really said
- 42:58Speaker 8: nothing negative about Michelle Obama. He just shouldn't have commented.
- 43:03Speaker 7: You don't speak Newport. That's your problem. I don't speak.
- 43:05Speaker 7: I don't speak I don't speak a Newport or Bourbon
- 43:10Speaker 7: in the morning.
- 43:11Speaker 11: Why would say that?
- 43:14Speaker 12: Why would you say that? All right, we have another caller.
- 43:19Speaker 12: It's from Sean, the truck driver.
- 43:21Speaker 16: Brother good Sean right here, truck driver out of Spanish.
- 43:25Speaker 16: I want to disagree with you on one thing. When
- 43:28Speaker 16: you said that people come up to you and tell
- 43:31Speaker 16: you what God said to them.
- 43:34Speaker 6: Well, let me tell you something.
- 43:35Speaker 16: God speaks through people all the time, and that's how
- 43:40Speaker 16: we get our blessing through other people as well.
- 43:45Speaker 6: And God just speak.
- 43:46Speaker 9: Through murderous rapists if.
- 43:51Speaker 17: They going in with the clean your heart and mad say.
- 43:56Speaker 17: God can speak through those people to come to you.
- 44:01Speaker 17: You know, you speak about CD Jakes and Joe old things.
- 44:05Speaker 17: And God just don't only speak through pastors. He speaks
- 44:10Speaker 17: through other people as well. We are all sinners and
- 44:14Speaker 17: clue is your health.
- 44:16Speaker 6: And God speaks through.
- 44:18Speaker 9: Us and animals as well.
- 44:21Speaker 17: We are in his image. So by you saying that, if.
- 44:25Speaker 9: You will be a man and faith, God speaks through
- 44:29Speaker 9: you to speak through people with your inspiration, right, so
- 44:34Speaker 9: He can speak through other people as well to bring
- 44:37Speaker 9: you a message. We've just got to be helpful in
- 44:42Speaker 9: our faith on who we take this message from. So
- 44:47Speaker 9: just keep an open mind when you talk about that,
- 44:51Speaker 9: because God speaks through people and their faith and spirit.
- 44:58Speaker 17: We just got to have thy mind.
- 45:00Speaker 16: I said, oh, who are we going to accept it from?
- 45:03Speaker 16: And I saw what I wanted to say, y'all don't
- 45:05Speaker 16: keep up to good work.
- 45:06Speaker 7: Thank you well, brother, listen to me.
- 45:08Speaker 10: Man.
- 45:09Speaker 8: First of all, the whole, the whole, the whole crux
- 45:14Speaker 8: of what I was saying was exactly what you said.
- 45:17Speaker 8: You have to be mindful and discerning who brings you
- 45:21Speaker 8: the message. That's what I was saying. You know, if
- 45:25Speaker 8: I say that God spoke to me through or T. D.
- 45:28Speaker 8: Jakes or Joel Ostein, I know he speak through people.
- 45:31Speaker 8: They ain't never said nothing to no animal. I ain't
- 45:34Speaker 8: been there for that right there here, I ain't.
- 45:40Speaker 11: I don't.
- 45:40Speaker 7: I don't know where you got that from, but I
- 45:43Speaker 7: didn't he the horse. I don't know what you was.
- 45:46Speaker 8: Talking about right there, but every I don't listen to
- 45:50Speaker 8: everybody who come up to me. And the number one
- 45:53Speaker 8: thing when a person come up to me telling them
- 45:55Speaker 8: what God told them to tell me, and then it's
- 45:58Speaker 8: connected to something they won't our need already know that.
- 46:02Speaker 7: Ain't hidet work. That's what I was saying. So nice
- 46:05Speaker 7: long message, but you said exactly what I needed you
- 46:09Speaker 7: to say. But I ain't heard from no animals.
- 46:13Speaker 12: The nephew and the phone call fish never said. You're
- 46:20Speaker 12: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 46:27Speaker 12: the top of the hour right about four minutes after.
- 46:30Speaker 12: It's my Strawberry letter for today and the subject is
- 46:33Speaker 12: my night in Shining Armor. We'll get into that a
- 46:37Speaker 12: little later find out what that's all about. But right
- 46:40Speaker 12: now the nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 46:45Speaker 12: What you got for is, neph I got it for you.
- 46:48Speaker 7: That's right here. This is called fight Night. That's the

- 56:46Speaker 8: Here.
- 56:46Speaker 7: It is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:49Speaker 11: Thank you, nephew.
- 56:50Speaker 12: Subject to My Night in Shining Armor. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 56:56Speaker 12: I was so excited for my family to meet. My
- 56:58Speaker 12: life partner and I've been together for almost two years,
- 57:02Speaker 12: and we decided to go visit my mom so he
- 57:05Speaker 12: could meet her and my two uncles that helped raise me.
- 57:08Speaker 12: I am forty eight and my life partner is in
- 57:11Speaker 12: his early sixties. Everything about him is old school, even
- 57:14Speaker 12: his sideburns. He's from South Georgia and it shows and
- 57:18Speaker 12: how he dresses and how he talks. He wears old
- 57:21Speaker 12: school jumpsuits like my daddy wore when I was a kid,
- 57:24Speaker 12: and he also wears hard bottom dressed shoes with them.
- 57:28Speaker 12: His clothes make him look much older. I was worried
- 57:32Speaker 12: about what he would pack for the trip to see
- 57:35Speaker 12: my mom, and I got even more worried when he
- 57:38Speaker 12: told me that all he packed were slacks and a
- 57:41Speaker 12: few sleeveless T shirts. So we got to Florida and
- 57:45Speaker 12: we checked into our room and got ready for dinner
- 57:48Speaker 12: with my mom and my uncles. My guy put on
- 57:51Speaker 12: one of his favorite shiny suits that he wore back
- 57:54Speaker 12: on Easter. He saw me looking at him funny, and
- 57:57Speaker 12: he said he wanted to show my uncles how fly
- 57:59Speaker 12: Georgia boy dress. I knew then that it was going
- 58:02Speaker 12: to be a long night because my uncles were going
- 58:05Speaker 12: to tear him up. My uncles immediately asked how old
- 58:08Speaker 12: he is as they laughed out loud when he started talking.
- 58:12Speaker 12: They called him my night in Shining Armor because of
- 58:15Speaker 12: his shiny suit, and he had no idea. They were
- 58:18Speaker 12: laughing at him. That was a stressful night for me,
- 58:22Speaker 12: but my life partner handled it well. Here's my issue
- 58:26Speaker 12: as we move forward in our relationship, I do want
- 58:29Speaker 12: to update his style just a little.
- 58:32Speaker 11: How do I get my Night in Shining Armor to
- 58:35Speaker 11: dress better?
- 58:37Speaker 12: So basically, what you're saying is he's a good man,
- 58:39Speaker 12: you like him, but he's a bad dresser. You say
- 58:44Speaker 12: he's your life partner. You called him that several times
- 58:47Speaker 12: in a letter, and you've already been dating him almost
- 58:50Speaker 12: two years. So he must be doing something right. He
- 58:52Speaker 12: must be treating you well, loving you real good something.
- 58:55Speaker 12: So it doesn't sound like he's going anywhere anytime soon.
- 58:58Speaker 12: Life partner means husband to you. It sounds like which
- 59:01Speaker 12: is different and a lot more permanent. And that's why
- 59:04Speaker 12: you took him to finally meet your family. So he
- 59:08Speaker 12: passed that test, even though your folks were laughing at him.
- 59:13Speaker 12: But as far as his old school jump suit shiny
- 59:16Speaker 12: suit dressing, you gotta just tell him, I mean, you
- 59:20Speaker 12: got to tell him. They said he looked older if
- 59:22Speaker 12: he's cool with that. You could just you know, you know,
- 59:26Speaker 12: give him a little pointers. You can show him some
- 59:28Speaker 12: pictures of some men's fashions that you like, things that
- 59:31Speaker 12: you would love to see him in, some nice suits,
- 59:34Speaker 12: some shoes, casual wear.
- 59:36Speaker 11: Show him a picture of Steve Harvey. I mean, why not.
- 59:39Speaker 12: He's all over social media with his dressing. I mean
- 59:41Speaker 12: they call him blue Cheese. He's kind of in the
- 59:43Speaker 12: same age group as your life partner.
- 59:46Speaker 11: There are plenty of.
- 59:47Speaker 12: Posts on social media of older men dressing and looking good.
- 59:51Speaker 12: Just send him down and tell him you would love
- 59:53Speaker 12: to see him and some of these outfits.
- 59:56Speaker 11: Okay, you can work that.
- 59:58Speaker 12: If this is a good man, understand, tell him this
- 1:00:01Speaker 12: is how you would like to see him dress from now,
- 1:00:03Speaker 12: and I'll make him look a little younger.
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: All of that.
- 1:00:06Speaker 11: He might get into that.
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: Steve, this is a this is an easy letter. Yeah,
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: I've changed over the years. I mean, people watch my change,
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: you know. Look, well, it started on showtime at the Apollo.
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: Then that's when I first started wearing what was called
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: a custom suit. When I met Barbara Bates in Chicago.
- 1:00:29Speaker 11: Shout out to.
- 1:00:30Speaker 8: Barbara Bates was just the dopest designer from our culture
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: in urban men'swear that I had ever seen. I mean,
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: she crossed patterns. I never even knew you could do that.
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: She put a glen plaid with a with a with
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: a with a hounds too.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: She was doing some dope stuff now, man, you know.
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: And I started wearing them suits. Uh, those suits graduated
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: to the Kings of Comedy Tour and that King's of
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: Comedy Tour. I wore that style for a long long time.
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: Big pants, twenty nine inches at the knee. My knee
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: was bigger than most people wasting. So I've seen it.
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: And it wasn't that I was dressing older. I was
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: dressing urban. People don't understand that I represented the mid West.
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: I was Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Philly. You know, you know,
- 1:01:29Speaker 8: Philly ain't in the mire West the way the brothers
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: dressed at Boyd's up in Phillying and all them shops
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: up through there, and Walter's in Detroit, you know, Jackson
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: in Detroit, no city slickers and Broadway, you know, Alberts
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: in Cleveland and the Evergreen.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: I was just that.
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: So we don't even really have a problem in this letter.
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: This letter, it's nothing wrong. You got a good man,
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: he's faithful. He's older than you, but he looked like
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: well you forty eight here in his early sixties.
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: He is older than you.
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: But now this jump suit with need dress shoes. Where
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: is he finding these jumpsuits at?
- 1:02:17Speaker 11: Where?
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: Where in southern Georgia he got?
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: Now, let's go over to You got Albany, you got Valdosta,
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: you got Brunswick. You know those are the major cities
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: out and you know you could throw making in their savannah.
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: So he's somewhat in Now where is he finding these jumpsuits?
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: Att that's the problem, and he got side burns. I'm
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: gonna tell you how you can help your man, which
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: is really an easy fix.
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: This is real easy. I'm shining.
- 1:02:59Speaker 12: And you're just broke into song. We'll have a part
- 1:03:04Speaker 12: two up at twenty three minutes after the hour Today's
- 1:03:10Speaker 12: Strawberry letter subject.
- 1:03:12Speaker 11: My night in shining Armor.
- 1:03:13Speaker 12: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:53Speaker 12: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:56Speaker 12: The subject is my night in Shining Armor.
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: Well, this lady's got this older gentleman that's been a
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: life partner for two years. She's forty eighties, in his
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: early sixties. Everything about him is old school, even his
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: side burns. He from South Georgia, and it shows in
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: how he dresses and how he talks. A good old
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: country boy might be. According to the end of that,
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: he could be a country bumpkin.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: We don't know.
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: To let full, there's some people out there, some haters
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: who were determined that for you, So just hanging.
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: Up so far, sound like a good dude.
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: He wear old school jumpsuits like my daddy wore when
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: I was a kid, and he got hard and he
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: wear hard bottom dress shoes with it. I hate when
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: I see older men in a suit with sneakers on him.
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: I I just don't that don't equate to me. Now,
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: you can do it, but just because you can do something,
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: don't mean you should do something. Skinn He jeans was
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: a thing for a while. Anybody can buy skinny jeans.
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: Everybody don't need to own a pair, So it just
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: stands the reason. Now, your guy is a nice guy.
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: So you're going down to Florida to meet your mama
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: and your two uncles that raised you. You was a
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: little concerned about what he was gonna wear because he
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: told you he packed was slacks and a few sleeveless
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: T shirts.
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: So y'all got the Florida.
- 1:05:30Speaker 8: You checked into your room, and you got ready to
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: go to dinner with your mom and your uncles. Your
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: guy put on his favorite shiny suit. My man come
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: through that he woke back on Easter. He saw me
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: looking at him fronty and he said he wanted to
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: show my uncles how fly he Georgia boys dressed. Now,
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: I don't know where he got that suit from. I'm
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: the host of family Feud, So I have discovered of
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: late that a lot of people buy clothes on Amazon.
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: Dress clothes got them bought some fishing pants and camouflaged
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: pants off there. But I didn't know you actually shocked.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: But your husband, your man put on his shiny suit
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: and he probably got that from Amazon when he got feasted.
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: You can get the whole suit forty nine dollars.
- 1:06:25Speaker 10: So now.
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: He told you that he wanted them to see how
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: them Georgia boys dressed. I knew that it was gonna
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: be a long night because my uncle's was gonna tear
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: him up. My uncles immediately asked how old he is
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: as they laughed out loud when he started talking. They
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: called him my night in shining armor cause of his
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: shiny suit. He had no idea they was laughing at him.
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: That was a stressful night for me, but my life
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: partner handled it well. That means you got a good man.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: Here's my issue as we moved forward in our relationship.
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: I do want to update his style the little How
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: do I get my knight and shine and amen to
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: dress better? Simple and take him shopping. That's all you
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: got to do. Take him shopping. Let's say, baby, that's
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: what I like. Oh my god, you look handsome. Every
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: man wants his woman to think he's handsome, even if
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: he ain't.
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: Even if he em.
- 1:07:28Speaker 18: Just tell me, if you throw a rock in a
- 1:07:37Speaker 18: pack of dogs, the one that hollow.
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: Is the one you're hit. That's some that's some Georgia
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: boys stuff.
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: Right there, and just take him shopping and just tryal
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: some stuff to go, or go the magazine and oh, baby,
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: look at this right here.
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: You ought to get that.
- 1:07:55Speaker 8: I bet you would look good in that, and do
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: it real motivation. Don't tear down what he got, just
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: talk about what he would look like and to do.
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: Now when the new come, you start replacing stuff. Prime example,
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: Marjorie told me one time, she said, baby, some of
- 1:08:17Speaker 8: your suits. I just you can't do this no more.
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: Cause when I got on Family Feud the first year,
- 1:08:23Speaker 8: I wore my same suits and she said, Steve, you
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: and mid America, Now you can't do that. And then
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: when I got to talk show, she said, you show
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: can't do that. You got to look like you should
- 1:08:33Speaker 8: have a talk show. So I started changing back in
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: two thousand and eight. Two thousand and eight. Now we
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: got married a little bit before that, so she started
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: to change immediately. And I asked Marjorie one time, I said, baby,
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: when you met me, I was wearing these suits.
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: She said, I know, I know, but I was gonna change.
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: So I just had to take my time. I was
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: gonna change. I married you anyway because you're a good man.
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: I said, well, babe, what's wrong with my suit? She said,
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: I'm tired of being married to a pimp.
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: You gotta get rid of your hats. You gotta get
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: rid of these big suits. All this here what you need. Man.
- 1:09:17Speaker 13: So she just basically stripped you down and did like
- 1:09:20Speaker 13: a build a ball, just built it the way she's
- 1:09:22Speaker 13: going to.
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: Got you hot, looking like exactly the same way Jackie
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: did you.
- 1:09:29Speaker 11: Sounds like he had a problem with it, though, Yeah.
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: I mean he.
- 1:09:35Speaker 8: Ain't like I ain't seeing it happening you right, all right,
- 1:09:42Speaker 8: all that little cheap stuff you used to wear Jackie
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: came in there, Well, uh no, you're going to Gucci.
- 1:09:49Speaker 8: Come on, we're going to We're going to v Tommy

- 1:11:31Speaker 13: you can't be proud of me right now. I gotta
- 1:11:34Speaker 13: get where I'm going, and I know there's a lot
- 1:11:37Speaker 13: I got to do to get there.
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: So now I ain't the time for daddy. I just
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: got to do what I got to do.
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: What you think, well, yeah, that's a good way to
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: be because your daddy on the sideland if any help

- 1:11:54Speaker 8: needs to Don't worry about all these flights and stuff

- 1:11:57Speaker 7: That's my dude. Helths first. Yeah, his son, his son
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: is he Look, he raised him right.

- 1:12:06Speaker 8: gotta let him. You gotta let them go. Yeah, they
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: gonna make mistakes just like you did in your twenties.
- 1:12:14Speaker 8: My twenties, man, I could just what question? When when
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: did your daddy listen?
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: Yes, go ahead, Thompson, and I have a question. As
- 1:12:24Speaker 7: soon as I went to seventeen. Wait, my dad had
- 1:12:30Speaker 7: helped me a little longer than that.
- 1:12:31Speaker 13: Though my dad had helped me to by twenty two,
- 1:12:34Speaker 13: you're saying seventeen.
- 1:12:36Speaker 12: Wow.
- 1:12:36Speaker 8: No. When I went to college, man, my father said,
- 1:12:39Speaker 8: all right, now, get yourself together, because you can't come back.
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: You can't live back here. You can come back on
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: Christmas breaking holiday. You're still gonna have room. But right
- 1:12:49Speaker 8: after that, you got you got go and figure this
- 1:12:51Speaker 8: thing out.
- 1:12:51Speaker 7: I told you, man.
- 1:12:52Speaker 8: My father sent me envelope. Asked my daddy for some
- 1:12:55Speaker 8: help one time. Opened up the envelope because you know
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: he's ticking it in the mail.
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: It was it was. It was a five dollar bill.
- 1:13:02Speaker 8: Between two index cards, and the note said he sent
- 1:13:06Speaker 8: me five dollars. The note said, this sugar honey ice
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: tea gonna have to stop. Five Oh you got cut
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: off earth. This sugar honey ice tea gonna have to stop.
- 1:13:23Speaker 11: See.
- 1:13:23Speaker 8: I had a job as long as I can remember.
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: I had a job all through high school. I worked
- 1:13:27Speaker 8: every day after school, every day all through high school.
- 1:13:31Speaker 8: I ain't never not had a job. My father even
- 1:13:34Speaker 8: I'm allowance.
- 1:13:36Speaker 7: Boy, is doing what you did for a living?
- 1:13:43Speaker 8: Yeah, I wouldn't say, none of my kid is doing
- 1:13:45Speaker 8: what I do for a living. I went and thank
- 1:13:51Speaker 8: you a comedian, but with no pay.
- 1:13:55Speaker 12: All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:13:57Speaker 12: and man on social media needs some advice.
- 1:14:00Speaker 11: Is she trying to trap me with a baby? He
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: wants to know. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:14:04Speaker 12: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:14:11Speaker 12: this is from JB on Steve Harvey FM. JB says,
- 1:14:15Speaker 12: my girlfriend and I are both twenty five, and we've
- 1:14:18Speaker 12: been together for two years. We've talked about our future
- 1:14:21Speaker 12: and both agree we want to get married and have
- 1:14:24Speaker 12: a family, but not yet. Lately, though, I've started to
- 1:14:28Speaker 12: worry that she's trying to get pregnant now without telling me.
- 1:14:32Speaker 12: She's been extra insistent about sex at certain times, and
- 1:14:36Speaker 12: I'm starting to wonder if she stopped taking the pill.
- 1:14:39Speaker 12: I love her and I don't want to accuse her
- 1:14:42Speaker 12: of anything, but something feels off. How do I bring
- 1:14:46Speaker 12: this up without messing up our relationship?
- 1:14:49Speaker 8: Wow, Well, it's like this, brou Here's what you have
- 1:14:54Speaker 8: to think of. How do I bring this up without
- 1:14:57Speaker 8: messing up our relationship? If she has stopped taking the pill?
- 1:15:03Speaker 8: And she is trying to get pregnant without you knowing
- 1:15:06Speaker 8: how you gonna feel about that. So now you want
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: to wait until you have to deal with that, or
- 1:15:11Speaker 8: you want to go ahead and address it now. Just say, hey, baby,
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: I need to talk to you about something, because I've
- 1:15:18Speaker 8: noticed the difference. You're incredibly insistent that we have sex
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: during a certain time. Are you trying to get pregnant
- 1:15:27Speaker 8: right now? Because I think that's a decision that both
- 1:15:31Speaker 8: of us should make together. I like it what you're
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: talking about. I'm talking about how you keep out and
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: found this chart.
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: That you've got.
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: Now, I don't know what all this mean, but you
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: gotta have sex on a certain day or a certain time.
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: Are you trying to get pregnant?
- 1:15:51Speaker 8: Because if you are, I should know that because I'm
- 1:15:54Speaker 8: not in agreement and with that until after we're married. Now,
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: I know we've talked. I have in a family, but
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: let's not put the cart in front of the horse,
- 1:16:04Speaker 8: and ladies, I'm telling you, hard to trap a man
- 1:16:08Speaker 8: with a baby. That's a hard trap to lay. Yeah,
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: if that's your plan, you need to get another one.
- 1:16:17Speaker 8: You need to get another one that ain't nothing to
- 1:16:19Speaker 8: play with. I'm gonna have this baby, then he gonna
- 1:16:21Speaker 8: stay with me.
- 1:16:22Speaker 7: No he not, no, he not know he not that
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: in the rule book.
- 1:16:28Speaker 11: It's proven every day, every single day.
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: That's all trick in the book, and it doesn't work.
- 1:16:34Speaker 12: No, no, yeah, all right, we have time for another one, Steve.
- 1:16:40Speaker 12: This is from RJ on Steve Harvey FM. RJ says,
- 1:16:44Speaker 12: I was harassed over the weekend because of my swimwear.
- 1:16:47Speaker 12: I've always worn a speedo because I was a competitive
- 1:16:50Speaker 12: swimmer in high school and college, so it's.
- 1:16:53Speaker 11: All I've ever known.
- 1:16:54Speaker 12: While at a public pool over the weekend, a mother
- 1:16:56Speaker 12: made me the focal point of a whole tirade, accused
- 1:16:59Speaker 12: me of trying to quote show off my junk to
- 1:17:03Speaker 12: all the kids.
- 1:17:04Speaker 11: She even called the cops.
- 1:17:05Speaker 12: Meanwhile, she didn't seem to have an issue with all
- 1:17:07Speaker 12: the bikinis and cameltoes flunning around the place. I found
- 1:17:11Speaker 12: out the lady's name, but I haven't decided what to
- 1:17:14Speaker 12: do about it yet.
- 1:17:15Speaker 11: What do you suggest? Yeah, I should let it go,
- 1:17:18Speaker 11: but I just can't.
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: Well, Bro, but what you what you're gonna what?
- 1:17:24Speaker 6: What?
- 1:17:25Speaker 8: What you're gonna charge her with? What's what's she gonna
- 1:17:28Speaker 8: charge you with you were wearing a speedo. That's that's legal.
- 1:17:33Speaker 12: Swimwhere Yeah, and that's all he's he's known, he says
- 1:17:38Speaker 12: since high school.
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: What her fat behind is mad at is cause he
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: over here packing. There's no And who she got at
- 1:17:47Speaker 8: the house is yeah is yeah yea yeah, yes, no yeah,
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: yeah yeah it is.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: She got on the one piece and an a and
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: a cover. A wrap doesn't say that two wraps. Yeah,
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: she got on the one piece and two covers.
- 1:18:06Speaker 8: Uh. Big dog walking around with this same speed on.
- 1:18:10Speaker 8: Ain't nothing but don't look like nothing but electrical tape.
- 1:18:14Speaker 8: Speed up.
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: He walking around the pool.
- 1:18:17Speaker 8: I'm talking about he walking around this tape oder he
- 1:18:20Speaker 8: just open here. I'm diving in when I get the
- 1:18:22Speaker 8: risk of eighty kids, eight kids back up.
- 1:18:28Speaker 11: He just called her a mother, though, I just want
- 1:18:30Speaker 11: you to know that it didn't say anything.
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: Why did he know she was a mother? I'm telling
- 1:18:36Speaker 8: you because she had on the mother outfit. She was
- 1:18:42Speaker 8: out there with a one piece on and a house coat.
- 1:18:45Speaker 11: One more of the.
- 1:18:46Speaker 12: Sea Coffee Morning Show coming up the twenty minutes after
- 1:18:50Speaker 12: right after this, with.

- 1:18:59Speaker 12: One of longtime producers of NPR's Tiny Desk concert series,
- 1:19:03Speaker 12: it's reassuring fans that it's not going away. Producer Bobby
- 1:19:08Speaker 12: Carter addressed rumors about the show shutting down following the
- 1:19:11Speaker 12: federal defunding of NPR and PBS via the Corporation for
- 1:19:15Speaker 12: Public Broadcasting. In his post, Carter said in part that
- 1:19:19Speaker 12: NPR and Tiny Desk are not shutting down end quote.
- 1:19:23Speaker 12: NPR has filed a lawsuit challenging President Trump's original executive
- 1:19:28Speaker 12: order and Congress's recision of the organization's funds.

- 1:28:41Speaker 8: One time he's been back out that.
- 1:28:45Speaker 7: He talks to you.
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: Now he don't He don't know how to fish. First
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: he fished with his rod upside down. I have told
- 1:28:52Speaker 8: him that's gonna set the spool. The spoon go under. No,
- 1:28:57Speaker 8: this is how I learned how to do it. So
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: I can have the handle on this side, I said, clip,
- 1:29:02Speaker 8: I can put the handle on either side of the rod.
- 1:29:05Speaker 7: He said, nah, but I like it like this because
- 1:29:08Speaker 7: I can see my line. Well, okay, this.
- 1:29:10Speaker 11: Is irritating you, then, oh very much.
- 1:29:14Speaker 10: So.
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: Then all I hear here on the back of the boat.
- 1:29:17Speaker 8: You know, I'm trolling around. And then I hear this
- 1:29:19Speaker 8: here right here.
- 1:29:20Speaker 7: God though said, what what happened?
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: Then I hear man, I I'm high man, how I'm
- 1:29:30Speaker 8: gonna get that out? So now I turn around, I said, okay,
- 1:29:33Speaker 8: this is finna bell clock what happened. Now, we got
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: the one of the lady's twelve acres out then bought
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: these brand new lures that I want to try, and
- 1:29:44Speaker 8: I got them laying on the box, still in the rapper.
- 1:29:46Speaker 7: Well.
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: He then open up one and put it on his
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: real uh huh. And now he didn't throw the lure,
- 1:29:53Speaker 8: but because they're heavier, he don't know how to control it.
- 1:29:56Speaker 8: He didn't through the Lord not a lure up in
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: the tree.
- 1:29:59Speaker 10: God.

- 1:30:09Speaker 8: ain't nowhere near the tree.
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: How are you gonna throw this lure up in this tree?
- 1:30:14Speaker 16: Now?
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: I said, Cliff, let me show you how to get
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: it down.
- 1:30:19Speaker 17: Uh.
- 1:30:20Speaker 8: I turned the boat around. I get up and go
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: to the back end of the boat. I reeled it
- 1:30:24Speaker 8: down and then I snatched the lure stay in the tree.
- 1:30:28Speaker 8: And because he tied a regular knot on it, I said, Cliff,
- 1:30:32Speaker 8: what kind of knot did you tiwn this?
- 1:30:34Speaker 10: You know?
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: A knot? I said, Bro, you gotta put a fishing
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: knot on here. It can't no fish. Yeah, I said, bro,
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: ain't you ain't from this fish? Ain't walking to this boat.
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: Do you understand that the main objective is stay in
- 1:30:47Speaker 8: the water me so now outn't snatch now.
- 1:30:50Speaker 7: My lure is up in the tree.
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: Okay, fourteen dollars, Lore, fourteen dollars, Lord one law. So
- 1:30:59Speaker 8: now I tell you, I said, man, let me show
- 1:31:02Speaker 8: you how to fish with a worm, because they don't
- 1:31:03Speaker 8: get a bag of worms for five dollars, and you
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: can throw all them in the lake.
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: You home all of a sudden, man out hear, God
- 1:31:12Speaker 7: doog what happened?
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: I don't know how I did that. I turned around
- 1:31:18Speaker 8: the worm in the tree. Oh God, yeah, that's your
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: last time with these lures up in the trees. God,
- 1:31:27Speaker 8: dog out and did it again. I ain't even turn around.
- 1:31:32Speaker 8: I spun that boat around and put that troll moto
