- 0:00Speaker 1: More money per pupil than any country, and the Sun
- 0:03Speaker 1: even close. We ranked near the bottom of the list
- 0:06Speaker 1: in terms of success. Those are two stats. You don't
- 0:09Speaker 1: want the most money spent per pupil and you're at
- 0:11Speaker 1: the bottom of the list. And that's when we are
- 0:13Speaker 1: like it.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We're not. You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update
- 0:17Speaker 2: with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Good Friday morning.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Ben Ferguson with you, and it's so nice to have
- 0:21Speaker 4: you on the forty seven Morning Update. And here are
- 0:23Speaker 4: the big three stories we're talking about today. Donald Trump
- 0:27Speaker 4: signs the executive order dismantling the Department of Education. So
- 0:32Speaker 4: what does this mean for you in the state that
- 0:34Speaker 4: you live in. It's going to have a big impact,
- 0:37Speaker 4: and I'll break it down for you. Also, Hollywood going
- 0:41Speaker 4: all in against Elon, even accusing him of quote killing
- 0:45Speaker 4: people as they organize to terrorize Tesla owners and dealerships
- 0:51Speaker 4: and finally attempted murder. Fifteen plus conservatives have been targeted
- 0:58Speaker 4: by swatting attacks in a one week period.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Who's behind it? I'll explain that as well.
- 1:04Speaker 4: It's a forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:09Speaker 4: It is official the Department of Education has been significantly dismantled.
- 1:14Speaker 4: In a new Donald Trump executive order, the White House
- 1:18Speaker 4: says the initiative seeks to turnover education do families instead
- 1:22Speaker 4: of bureaucracies.
- 1:23Speaker 3: The President explaining it this way, Today.
- 1:26Speaker 1: We take a very historic action that was forty five
- 1:29Speaker 1: years in the making. In a few moments, I will
- 1:31Speaker 1: sign an executive order to begin eliminating the federal Department
- 1:36Speaker 1: of Education once and for all. And it sounds strange,
- 1:48Speaker 1: doesn't it. Department of Education. We're going to eliminate it.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And everybody knows it's right. And the Democrats know it's right,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and I hope they're going to be voting for it
- 1:57Speaker 1: because ultimately it may come before them, but everybody knows
- 2:00Speaker 1: it's right. Then we have to get our children educated.
- 2:04Speaker 1: We're not doing well with the world of education in
- 2:08Speaker 1: this country, and we haven't for a long time.
- 2:10Speaker 3: We haven't for a long time.
- 2:12Speaker 4: The President said on the campaign trail that it was
- 2:15Speaker 4: time to return education of parents and communities, and he
- 2:19Speaker 4: also said in this executive order that it directs the
- 2:22Speaker 4: Secretary of Education to quote, take all necessary steps to
- 2:25Speaker 4: facilitate the closure of the Department of Education. Return education
- 2:29Speaker 4: authority to each state while continuing to ensure the effectiveness
- 2:35Speaker 4: and uninterrupted delivery of services, programs, and benefits on which
- 2:39Speaker 4: Americans rely. In translation, he knows the fear mongering the
- 2:43Speaker 4: left is going to do, claiming that a school will
- 2:45Speaker 4: close and your kid will not be educated during this
- 2:48Speaker 4: time of change, President making it clear in the executive
- 2:51Speaker 4: action that is not an option. The order also directs
- 2:54Speaker 4: that programs or activities receiving any remaining Department of Education
- 2:58Speaker 4: funds will not advance DEI or gender ideology. Dismantling bureaucracy
- 3:05Speaker 4: and empowering families is what this order is all about.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Federal government control of education has failed students, parents, and teachers.
- 3:14Speaker 4: The President saying this about the history of the Department
- 3:17Speaker 4: of Education.
- 3:18Speaker 1: President Carter created the Federal Education Department in nineteen seventy nine.
- 3:23Speaker 1: It was opposed by members of his own cabinet, as
- 3:26Speaker 1: well as the American Federation of Teachers, the New York
- 3:29Speaker 1: Times editorial board, and the famed Democrat Senator Daniel Patrick moynihan.
- 3:35Speaker 1: History has proven them right, absolutely right. After forty five years,
- 3:39Speaker 1: the United States spends more money on education by far
- 3:42Speaker 1: than any other country. And spends likewise by far more
- 3:48Speaker 1: money per pupil than any country, and it's not even close.
- 3:51Speaker 1: But yet we ranked near the bottom of the list
- 3:53Speaker 1: in terms of success. It's an amazing stat Those are
- 3:58Speaker 1: two stats you don't want spent for pupil, and you're
- 4:01Speaker 1: at the bottom of the list. And that's where we are,
- 4:03Speaker 1: like it or not, and we've been there for a
- 4:05Speaker 1: long time.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Just how bad is it? Well?
- 4:08Speaker 4: Since nineteen seventy nine, the Department of Education, which does
- 4:11Speaker 4: not directly educate students, has spent over three trillion dollars
- 4:16Speaker 4: without improving student achievements as measured by Standardized National Assessment
- 4:21Speaker 4: of Educational Progress scores. The federal taxpayers have spent around
- 4:26Speaker 4: two in dred billion in additional education funding during COVID nineteen, which,
- 4:30Speaker 4: given the substantial learning laws that resulted, typifies the ineffectiveness
- 4:35Speaker 4: of the current federally driven model. Mathematics and reading scores
- 4:39Speaker 4: are down in public schools as well, despite per pupil
- 4:42Speaker 4: spending having increased by more than two one hundred and
- 4:46Speaker 4: seventy five percent since nineteen seventies, indicating that more spending
- 4:51Speaker 4: does not mean a better education for our kids in
- 4:53Speaker 4: public schools.
- 4:54Speaker 3: How bad is it?
- 4:55Speaker 4: Thirteen year old's mathematics scores are the lowest they've been
- 4:59Speaker 4: in decades. Thirteen year old's reading scores are the lowest
- 5:02Speaker 4: since testing began over thirty years ago. Right now, and
- 5:06Speaker 4: low performing students are following further behind.
- 5:09Speaker 3: In twenty twenty three, thirteen Baltimore.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Maryland high schools had zero students who tested proficient in mathematics.
- 5:17Speaker 4: The Department of Education burden schools with regulations and paperwork.
- 5:21Speaker 4: The President said as well, saying it's time now to
- 5:25Speaker 4: allow the states and ultimately the parents to do what
- 5:29Speaker 4: is best for their kids. To put in perspective, Biden's
- 5:32Speaker 4: Department of Education added rules that imposed nearly three point
- 5:36Speaker 4: nine billion in costs and four million, two hundred and
- 5:40Speaker 4: thirty nine thousand, five hundred and thirty paper work hours.
- 5:46Speaker 4: If you want to know what's killing our education system,
- 5:49Speaker 4: it's clearly the bureaucracy of the federal government.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Now, story number two, there is a.
- 5:53Speaker 4: War happening right now against every Tesla owner in the
- 5:57Speaker 4: country and every dealership and every employee Tesla, and it's
- 6:01Speaker 4: being organized by the left. You may have noticed a
- 6:03Speaker 4: trend that every time the left doesn't get what they want.
- 6:06Speaker 4: There is money that comes in to organize quote activists
- 6:10Speaker 4: to go after whatever it is they want to get
- 6:12Speaker 4: rid of. You may remember the summer violence. We're even
- 6:15Speaker 4: on TV as police stations were being burned to the
- 6:17Speaker 4: ground behind reporters. They were calling the protest quote mostly
- 6:21Speaker 4: peaceful protests. Well, now their new target is Tesla because
- 6:25Speaker 4: of Elon Musk, a man that is totally saving the
- 6:29Speaker 4: American people hundreds of billions of dollars finding waste, fraud
- 6:34Speaker 4: and abuse. So what's the best way to get him
- 6:36Speaker 4: to stop doing that work? Try to bankrupt his companies.
- 6:39Speaker 4: John Cusack, for example, the famous actor, appeared on what
- 6:43Speaker 4: they're now calling a Tesla takedown. They even have graphics
- 6:47Speaker 4: and in essence of TV channel where they talk bad
- 6:50Speaker 4: about Elon Musk and make people want to burn Tesla's
- 6:54Speaker 4: or shoot them up, which is exactly what's happening all
- 6:57Speaker 4: over the country. What did John Cusack actually say? He
- 7:00Speaker 4: said that Elon Musk is quote literally killing people. Why
- 7:04Speaker 4: would he say that to justify the extreme violence coming
- 7:09Speaker 4: from those that have been activated. Here's what he had
- 7:11Speaker 4: to say on acts about Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
- 7:15Speaker 5: He said, you know, Musk is kind of this arch
- 7:17Speaker 5: villain of late stage capitalism, and he seems like this
- 7:20Speaker 5: clown and this buffoon. Like Alex said, you know, this
- 7:23Speaker 5: is a man who made a sighile Nazi salute not
- 7:27Speaker 5: only in public, but at a presidential victory party. It's
- 7:31Speaker 5: good to remember that these are unprecedented times of mass
- 7:35Speaker 5: criminality going on in the United States right now, and that,
- 7:39Speaker 5: like Trump, Musk is a pathological liar. He's a criminal,
- 7:44Speaker 5: he's a sociopath and a ghoul. And I mean those
- 7:47Speaker 5: terms very precisely because who else would use his own
- 7:51Speaker 5: child as a sympathy prop while literally taking starving aid
- 7:54Speaker 5: away from people all over the world. He's literally killing people.
- 7:57Speaker 5: People are going to die because of this madness. He's
- 8:00Speaker 5: a man who threw eighty thousand people from the VA
- 8:02Speaker 5: out of work indiscriminately. And as far as the plunder,
- 8:07Speaker 5: I would urge everybody to really follow Bernie Sanders Fighting
- 8:10Speaker 5: Oligarchy tour and listen to what he has to say,
- 8:13Speaker 5: because the list of abuses is too big to even
- 8:17Speaker 5: tackle within five or ten minutes. But I think it's
- 8:21Speaker 5: important to know that not only are they trying to
- 8:23Speaker 5: steal everything that isn't bolted down to the floor. But
- 8:25Speaker 5: as they get into these systems and plunder, they're also
- 8:29Speaker 5: He's also interested in the metadata. So when he gets
- 8:31Speaker 5: into the treasury, the metadata is all the connections between
- 8:34Speaker 5: all of us who are talking right now. Everything we've
- 8:37Speaker 5: ever looked at online, every car we've ever tried to buy,
- 8:40Speaker 5: or time, any movie we watched, anything we've done. All
- 8:43Speaker 5: that stuff is metadata. Is like the new oil for
- 8:46Speaker 5: these people.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Isn't it amazing that this is John Cusack literally accusing
- 8:51Speaker 4: Elon Musk of doing exactly what the Democratic Party was
- 8:55Speaker 4: doing to conservatives while on social media, and now saying
- 9:00Speaker 4: it because of these accusations, which are absolutely bogus and insane,
- 9:05Speaker 4: that now you are justified to go out and attack
- 9:09Speaker 4: Tesla owners and the dealerships. Even the Daily Show in
- 9:13Speaker 4: other news outlets getting in on the action. This is
- 9:15Speaker 4: the host, and you can hear the audience cheering the violence, Jim.
- 9:19Speaker 3: They're taking to the streets or the parking lots.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Should I be FBI and ATF now investigating multiple cases
- 9:26Speaker 6: of possible arsen targeting Tesla's and cyber trucks.
- 9:29Speaker 2: The dramatic video shows multiple cars and flames.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Police say the attacker used molotov cocktails.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It's the latest in more than a dozen instances of
- 9:38Speaker 2: arson and vandalism targeting Tesla.
- 9:40Speaker 6: The same suspects shot more Teslas with a gun. Tesla
- 9:43Speaker 6: cyber trucks were set on fire in Kansas City, and
- 9:45Speaker 6: earlier this month, shots fired in a Tesla dealership in Oregon.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Cyber trucks on fire in Seattle.
- 9:50Speaker 5: Wow, you guys like petniacs of domestic terrorism, Jim.
- 9:55Speaker 4: You can hear the audience. They're so excited about this
- 9:58Speaker 4: type of violence.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Thank goodness.
- 10:00Speaker 4: The Attorney General, Pam Bondi has stepped in announcing charges
- 10:04Speaker 4: for Tesla attacks and warning against domestic terrorism, saying quote,
- 10:09Speaker 4: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties,
- 10:13Speaker 4: the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Thank goodness, law and.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Order is back at the Department of Justice and at
- 10:20Speaker 4: the FBI.
- 10:21Speaker 2: And finally, story number three.
- 10:23Speaker 4: If there's anything that's become clear in the last two months,
- 10:26Speaker 4: is that the left has become completely unhinged. Now you
- 10:29Speaker 4: can add attempted murder plus fifteen conservatives have been targeted
- 10:34Speaker 4: by swatting attacks in a single week. A series of
- 10:38Speaker 4: swatting incidents targeting conservative commentators and journalists have transpired nearly
- 10:44Speaker 4: every evening since March the eleventh. This according to the victims,
- 10:48Speaker 4: who are sharing video, surveillance footage and photos of the events,
- 10:52Speaker 4: sparking questions as to who is engaging in what Representative
- 10:55Speaker 4: Andy Ogles described as domestic terrorism and attempted murder. THEI
- 11:00Speaker 4: Director Cashptel, and the Attorney General Pam Bondi and Secretary
- 11:04Speaker 4: of Homeland Security Christinomes have also reacted to the wave
- 11:08Speaker 4: of dangerous crimes. In terms, swatting refers to an anonymous
- 11:12Speaker 4: attacker targeting someone for making a false call to emergency services,
- 11:17Speaker 4: using anonymous tools like Google Voice or VPNs to make
- 11:20Speaker 4: it appear the call is coming from a certain location
- 11:23Speaker 4: and telling authorities a murder or hostage event is transpiring
- 11:27Speaker 4: at a particular address. Swatting is designed to prompt swat
- 11:31Speaker 4: teams to arrive at the targeted home and descend on
- 11:34Speaker 4: the unsuspecting victims, which in the past have led to
- 11:38Speaker 4: deadly encounters and murder charges for the offender. At the
- 11:42Speaker 4: time of this story breaking, there has been at least
- 11:45Speaker 4: fifteen figures already in conservative politics and media that have
- 11:50Speaker 4: reported being swatted within the course of the last week.
- 11:53Speaker 4: The string of swatting ensigns seemingly began on the evening
- 11:57Speaker 4: of March eleven, with info Wars reporter revealing in an
- 12:00Speaker 4: early morning ex post that six to eight police officers
- 12:04Speaker 4: used a pacism to call me by name and order
- 12:07Speaker 4: me to walk out of my house. I was handcuffed
- 12:09Speaker 4: in the middle of the street, presumably at gunpoint, though
- 12:12Speaker 4: I couldn't tell because the lights being shined in my face.
- 12:15Speaker 4: I was then led into the house, where my wife
- 12:17Speaker 4: was woken up, and we were informed that they received
- 12:19Speaker 4: a call from someone pretending to be me threatening to
- 12:22Speaker 4: kill my family. Then after that many others received the
- 12:27Speaker 4: exact same treatment. Another reporter was swatted not once, but
- 12:32Speaker 4: twice in a single day, and many other journalists are
- 12:35Speaker 4: now saying it's very clear they were all targeted in
- 12:38Speaker 4: a coordinated attack. Federal government now saying very clearly they
- 12:42Speaker 4: are gonna hunt down those who are making these calls
- 12:46Speaker 4: and putting conservative commentators lives at risk.
