August 27th - God provides a substitute, Genesis 22

Stapleford Baptist Church · Aug 27, 2023 · 37m

Finally, after a long wait, the key human in our Summer series - Abraham - has got the son God promised him and for whom he's been waiting for absolutely ages. And now God asks him to sacrifice his son. WHAT! As the story unfolds we find that God wants to teach Abraham, and us too, a vital lesson. Evil needs punishment. It's so bad that the ultimate punishment is due ... it will destroy every one of us unless God himself steps in to take the punishment himself. And that's what Jesus Christ has done for everyone who trusts him.Thank you so much for spending time with us on the Stapleford…
