It is only by the trust and belief in the finished work of Christ that we are justified. Paul is making the case for the justification by faith, being righteous in what we believe about the finished work of Christ. He uses Abraham's faith not only in his going into another country but also promising that he would be the father of many nations in spite of his natural body being old. Trust in God's promises no matter what it looks like by faith in The God Who has proven himself to be faithful throughout scripture.
