- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like a
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks. Things in the stubs, not me, true good
- 0:20Speaker 1: it together for stay, I don't join me. You gotta turn,
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you lon't
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out. Then turn the water the watery.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your thing, huh. I show will a
- 2:04Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show, man o, man on man Wow. I think
- 2:17Speaker 1: about all the things God has done for me is
- 2:20Speaker 1: overwhelming at times. And I want everybody to have that
- 2:24Speaker 1: feeling and to sharing that feeling of completion and satisfaction.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And the only reason I got this, and it's the
- 2:31Speaker 1: thousandth time I've said it, is because I formed a
- 2:35Speaker 1: relationship with my creator. Period. That's it. That's it. That's it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I can't tell you as anything else else. You know,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I've always had a strong work ethic. My father put
- 2:45Speaker 1: that in me. My father's conversations with me growing up
- 2:49Speaker 1: was always constantly about work hard, don't be lazy, be
- 2:53Speaker 1: a man, do what you say You're gonna do YadA YadA, YadA,
- 2:56Speaker 1: YadA YadA. Man. I was so tired of my father
- 2:58Speaker 1: at times. I was going, Man, man, what is with
- 3:00Speaker 1: this dude? Right here? Man? Every time we have a conversation,
- 3:04Speaker 1: it's got to be about work. It's got to be
- 3:06Speaker 1: about you know, man, doing your best, trying hard, you know, working,
- 3:12Speaker 1: being honest, do what you say you're gonna do. But
- 3:15Speaker 1: that was his mission. I can't tell you how much
- 3:18Speaker 1: I appreciate that now. I can't even I can't even
- 3:22Speaker 1: put it into words when I think about my old
- 3:25Speaker 1: man and what he was to me, and I just saw, Man,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm so grateful for that balance I had in my life.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And then my father was a fighter. He fought on
- 3:37Speaker 1: the weekends. You know. My father used to come home
- 3:41Speaker 1: with his with his clothes toe off of him. He
- 3:44Speaker 1: put a fresh shirt on and he go back. My
- 3:47Speaker 1: mom used to talk about my father fighting all the times, Nick,
- 3:50Speaker 1: why you are always fighting? You know a little bit
- 3:53Speaker 1: of that rubbed off on me too, you know that
- 3:55Speaker 1: that kind of got into me and I didn't understand
- 3:57Speaker 1: that either, But then understand turned. My mother was a
- 4:01Speaker 1: Sunday school teacher for forty years, so her conversation was
- 4:04Speaker 1: never about fighting or anything. It was all about love
- 4:07Speaker 1: and understanding and doing another that you would add him
- 4:10Speaker 1: do unto you. My mom was a Sunday school teacher,
- 4:12Speaker 1: so I learned about faith. I had to go to
- 4:15Speaker 1: Sunday school, prayer meeting, Bible study, young people meeting, choire rehearsal.
- 4:20Speaker 1: You know, I was a churchman so much I was
- 4:22Speaker 1: actually looking that's got to be an alternative to this,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you know. I want you know, And I was a
- 4:28Speaker 1: little kid even I was thinking at one point maybe
- 4:31Speaker 1: all to looking all because it's got to be something
- 4:33Speaker 1: cooler than this going on every day. It got that
- 4:36Speaker 1: crazy for me. But the balance between those two people
- 4:40Speaker 1: created who I am today. And I want you to
- 4:43Speaker 1: understand that the things that you are in your past
- 4:47Speaker 1: have helped create who you are today. If you view
- 4:50Speaker 1: it the right way, everything that has happened to you
- 4:55Speaker 1: in your past has happened to you for a reason,
- 4:59Speaker 1: and it's usually for the good if you view it
- 5:02Speaker 1: that way. But if you, on the other hand, or
- 5:07Speaker 1: a type of person who can't move forward because you
- 5:10Speaker 1: are allowing your past to stop you from having your future,
- 5:16Speaker 1: then you, my friend, are doing a disservice to your life.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You are not honoring God's blessings. You are not taking
- 5:25Speaker 1: advantage of the gain, knowledge, wisdom, and experience of your life. Example,
- 5:33Speaker 1: if you are a woman and you are always talking
- 5:39Speaker 1: about a former relationship, what he did to me. If
- 5:44Speaker 1: he had not did this to me, I wouldn't be
- 5:47Speaker 1: in this place today. I thought I had a man. Nah,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I ain't got no man. A la la la la la.
- 5:57Speaker 1: If you know he came along, I was doing just swell.
- 6:02Speaker 1: He just came in and he just lied to me.
- 6:05Speaker 1: He lied to me. Now that he did this to me,
- 6:08Speaker 1: then he cheated, then he left. All of that that
- 6:11Speaker 1: you're saying can very well be true. Have you thought
- 6:17Speaker 1: that maybe maybe somewhere in God's infinite wisdom, that he
- 6:25Speaker 1: knew that you had made a mistake in picking him anyway?
- 6:32Speaker 1: Maybe he knew you had made a mistake in saying
- 6:35Speaker 1: yes or I do to him anyway, or come on,
- 6:39Speaker 1: move in? And so what he did was based on
- 6:45Speaker 1: your decision now to say yes, I do, or come on,
- 6:49Speaker 1: let's move in together. That was your decision. You ain't
- 6:52Speaker 1: go to him about this one. You made this decision
- 6:56Speaker 1: based on that decision. And all the negative things that
- 7:00Speaker 1: started happening. He allowed you to get away from it.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Now how you got away from it, It's always not
- 7:07Speaker 1: the choice of ours. See you stuck on the fact
- 7:11Speaker 1: that he left, that he walked out. But let me
- 7:15Speaker 1: share this with you. When he was there, How good
- 7:18Speaker 1: was he to you? How good was he for you? See?
- 7:22Speaker 1: You got to you got to stare. You got to
- 7:24Speaker 1: look at the blessing. The blessing is. Now you are
- 7:28Speaker 1: on your own. Now you walk in your house. Ain't
- 7:32Speaker 1: nobody in there with a disruptive spirit. Now you go home.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You could take your clothes off and walk around like
- 7:38Speaker 1: you want to. Now you go home, you can sit
- 7:41Speaker 1: down and look at TV or catch your breath if
- 7:44Speaker 1: you want to. Your kids don't have to see y'all
- 7:49Speaker 1: arguing all the time. Have you looked at the blessing
- 7:52Speaker 1: in it? But now, if you're gonna keep looking at
- 7:55Speaker 1: the negative, then guess what. Now you can't move forward
- 8:00Speaker 1: because you keep allowing your pass to keep you from
- 8:05Speaker 1: moving forward. If God has bought you through it, why
- 8:09Speaker 1: don't you move on from it? Look, you got through it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: He gone, he ain't coming back. He got somebody else.
- 8:17Speaker 1: So you're gonna sit there and just keep tripping costs.
- 8:19Speaker 1: He gone and he got somebody else. Ain't pick yourself up.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Thank God for the blessing. It didn't feel like a blessing.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Why you was going through it, and all the pain
- 8:30Speaker 1: of him leaving and the divorce and all that messed
- 8:33Speaker 1: you up? Got it when you get through it, all
- 8:36Speaker 1: of that. You ain't the first one being left. You
- 8:38Speaker 1: ain't the first woman been divorced. You ain't the first
- 8:41Speaker 1: woe been in a bad relationship. Pick yourself up, Thank
- 8:46Speaker 1: God for the blessing, and move forward in your life,
- 8:49Speaker 1: because maybe when you quit complaining, maybe you'll find out
- 8:54Speaker 1: that God has something in store for you that he
- 8:57Speaker 1: wants you to have, but he can't give it to
- 9:00Speaker 1: you if you ain't grateful. So God gives you a blessing,
- 9:04Speaker 1: but because you don't see it as a blessing, you
- 9:06Speaker 1: ain't grateful for it. Now, guess what, You steady asking
- 9:11Speaker 1: God to do something for you, but you ain't thanking
- 9:13Speaker 1: him for what he's done for you, but you steady
- 9:15Speaker 1: wanting him to do more. How does that work? How
- 9:19Speaker 1: does that work? Man? That He should keep on giving
- 9:22Speaker 1: you things when you ain't even working with the stuff
- 9:25Speaker 1: he didn't gave you, And I don't know, and I'm
- 9:28Speaker 1: just I'm just using that one example. It could go
- 9:31Speaker 1: for me and too, vice versa, and so on and
- 9:33Speaker 1: so far. I'm just using that as an example. Now
- 9:37Speaker 1: why I laid on that one so long? You take
- 9:39Speaker 1: that out with God? That's all just three. I ain't
- 9:42Speaker 1: pointing fingers that nobody in nothing because I've been guilty
- 9:45Speaker 1: on both sides of the coin. Who am I? But
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm just sharing with you what I had to do.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I had to learn to stop allowing my past to
- 9:55Speaker 1: interfere with my future. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. We
- 10:03Speaker 1: are here today, gathered for the radio show. This is
- 10:06Speaker 1: not a game. This is a contest. Anybody can win it.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You can get your own blue ribbon. Step right up, one,
- 10:16Speaker 1: all for one, All ye who come? You are blue
- 10:19Speaker 1: ribbon candidates. Welcome to the Steve Harvey Contest. What do
- 10:25Speaker 1: you want a blue ribbon in today? That's the question, Shirley,
- 10:29Speaker 1: what do you think you could qualify to get a
- 10:31Speaker 1: blue ribbon in just the way I do the show,
- 10:34Speaker 1: the way I run the show? Carla, what do you
- 10:37Speaker 1: think you could get a blue ribbon in the way
- 10:39Speaker 1: I direct a show. Now let's begin the ignorance. Junior,
- 10:45Speaker 1: what do you think you could get a blue ribbon?
- 10:47Speaker 1: I could get a blue ribbon in animal sound? He
- 10:57Speaker 1: see that? Let the jay. What do you think you
- 11:03Speaker 1: could get a blue ribbon in ignorance from nowhere? When
- 11:06Speaker 1: you don't think it's coming straight ignorant ignorance out of nowhere? Nephew, Tommy,
- 11:14Speaker 1: share with us what you could get a blue ribbon?
- 11:17Speaker 1: Ind that you have probably already had thousand the seriousness
- 11:23Speaker 1: of stupidity. I bring it to a whole nother level.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I just have to say one thing. I seriously, Junior,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I take offense with what you did because on the show,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I do animal noises. I do animals animal we have
- 11:39Speaker 1: an animal. You can't change your answer. You you don't do,
- 11:46Speaker 1: you don't do but one, he doesn't do animal noises,
- 11:50Speaker 1: animal noises on the show. No, Okay, stop stop stop
- 11:55Speaker 1: stop stop. Sureley, do a kangaroo? What happened to this candidate? Okay,
- 12:05Speaker 1: Shirley do a gorilla? Okay, okay, okay, okay, Shirley, not
- 12:16Speaker 1: do a chimpaze. She's good at that, man, She's really good.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Thank you that was Caesar. Who was that? Who was that? Shelly? Yeah?
- 12:32Speaker 1: That was Shirley Man, that was that was her best one.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Now watched her kill this? Do a dog, Shirley? Okay, Shirley, Shirley,
- 12:49Speaker 1: do a sheep? Okay, Sirley, she Shelly do akcs just
- 13:07Speaker 1: had a spell. It don't sound like I don't know
- 13:11Speaker 1: like I didn't. I just I don't know what I
- 13:21Speaker 1: know what a kangaroo sounds like. We'll be back to
- 13:28Speaker 1: most Shirley sounds right out all morning to talent and
- 13:35Speaker 1: we didn't even know she did animals sound come back.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening to all right, it is time for something funny.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And seventy percent of workers say the thing they love
- 13:53Speaker 1: most about the holiday time in the office is time off,
- 13:58Speaker 1: followed by getting a bonus. Love those also in the
- 14:01Speaker 1: survey workers say, right there, let's just address this one
- 14:05Speaker 1: a time, because I see that there's some smiling going
- 14:09Speaker 1: on amongst you. Yeah. See two things you can't do.
- 14:14Speaker 1: What is get time off, get your same check, get
- 14:21Speaker 1: some time off, and get a damn bonus too. And
- 14:24Speaker 1: you need to make up your mind what you want
- 14:28Speaker 1: the bonus. We need a bonus type effort. Okay, okay, check.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So when we give you that, then the bonus is coming.
- 14:38Speaker 1: When you give me what bush? When do we know
- 14:42Speaker 1: we're working at bonus eeds? Well, first of all, let's
- 14:46Speaker 1: just get this straight and understood. Okay, everybody in here
- 14:51Speaker 1: get paid. Yeah yeah. Hostility though, thank you? Yeah, we
- 15:01Speaker 1: don't need that. They never talk to you. What mold
- 15:04Speaker 1: do you want outside? Joe chick? Okay? Can I ask
- 15:09Speaker 1: a question, Shoka? The question is this. We are all
- 15:13Speaker 1: working right right now, right now, we'll all work. Yes,
- 15:17Speaker 1: we put in a good job. What level do we
- 15:19Speaker 1: have to crank this up to to get bonus? That's
- 15:23Speaker 1: why you have to crank it up to CEO level?
- 15:27Speaker 1: What a minute? You are already to see that position
- 15:32Speaker 1: is taken. You got one ceo? Yeah? Can we Well,
- 15:37Speaker 1: do you understand what I'm saying? Get your bonus? Ceo?
- 15:41Speaker 1: Every one, let me read on. I'll go in the
- 15:47Speaker 1: survey workers say they look forward to the office holiday party.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Yeah uh uh, although although they would give that up
- 15:57Speaker 1: to get a bonus or more vacation. Back to that bonus. Yea,
- 16:06Speaker 1: we stopped Christmas part why because of an incident at
- 16:13Speaker 1: the party. I loud to see ol or the company
- 16:18Speaker 1: to stand up and give us speech. He still have
- 16:22Speaker 1: a made the statement that when he prayed, he prayed
- 16:24Speaker 1: to himself. That stopped all Christmas parties. The room got quiet.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And this, folks, is not a joke. This actually happened.
- 16:38Speaker 1: He prayed a hoop to myself. That's why. That's why
- 16:45Speaker 1: you shut that down. I'm scared because you didn't replace
- 16:49Speaker 1: it with anything. Though we didn't get our bonus or
- 16:52Speaker 1: or more vacation time. He actually cost you all your
- 17:02Speaker 1: extra activities. Now did he did he give us a
- 17:05Speaker 1: bonus before? Or did you give us one? I can't remember? Okay, na, see, okay,
- 17:12Speaker 1: but some jobs, some jobs give you like turkeys, and
- 17:17Speaker 1: we give out. We give all our turkeys away at
- 17:21Speaker 1: Thanksgiving to the less fortunate, right right, which is a
- 17:25Speaker 1: great which that makes us less fortunate than the CEO. Well,
- 17:33Speaker 1: the reason you don't qualify for a bonus is because
- 17:36Speaker 1: all of you have multiple supplemental income. You're causing me.
- 17:42Speaker 1: You're not supposed to look at that who what? What
- 17:47Speaker 1: do you think? He don't know that. I ain't posed
- 17:49Speaker 1: to look I see one of y'all, I'm supposed to
- 17:55Speaker 1: look at you now your concern sir, Yes it is.
- 18:07Speaker 1: You see then everywhere I go, I see one of y'all.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Every dog on. I ain't got a gig name, begin goat.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I don't see one of y'all. I can't say nothing now.
- 18:18Speaker 1: You can't say suit line, suit line about the owner one.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I ain't got to go down now. And that's another thing.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You won't help with your suit life. Won't help with
- 18:29Speaker 1: you writing none of these books, but your wonta damn
- 18:32Speaker 1: bon That's how you get a bonus. Get involved with everything.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I don't see your help and drive me around. None
- 18:42Speaker 1: of y'all go get me nothing to eat, with the
- 18:43Speaker 1: exception of Monica. Monica the only one try to help
- 18:47Speaker 1: me out at the station. Well, you don't want you
- 18:49Speaker 1: don't want men getting your food, so you don't that one.
- 18:54Speaker 1: And I would be happy to cook for you, okay,
- 18:57Speaker 1: I would. We don't want to kill the CEO. So
- 19:02Speaker 1: this is where we want to ask everyone does our office?
- 19:06Speaker 1: Does the office? Does the CEO? And everyone? Do you
- 19:09Speaker 1: think they do a good job of bringing holiday cheer
- 19:12Speaker 1: to our workplace? No? Not this office. I'm sorry. This
- 19:19Speaker 1: is why I jump off. I'm gonna say yeah, because
- 19:22Speaker 1: I maybe doing way to ceo. Go WHI y'all not
- 19:25Speaker 1: about to do one of my job this survey. Yeah,
- 19:31Speaker 1: I'll tell you that much. Yeah, it's great cheering here. Okay,
- 19:33Speaker 1: Well what kind of holiday? What kind of holiday related
- 19:36Speaker 1: activities do we have? We don't have the party anymore?
- 19:39Speaker 1: What else? What even? We have to have a Christmas
- 19:45Speaker 1: tree up? Ye? We have h which has been very healthful.
- 19:50Speaker 1: What is that, zeo? That's holiday talk? Just the conversation
- 19:58Speaker 1: holiday talk, we talk. It's really saying lightning you cheer
- 20:03Speaker 1: everybody up. We'd be smiling up. Yeah. Look shell you laugh.
- 20:10Speaker 1: That's your bonus. You need a tree with some ornaments on. Tommy.
- 20:17Speaker 1: At this point, let me should be saying you're welcome.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I think, yeah, he should be saying you're welcome. For
- 20:24Speaker 1: the holiday talk. So Tommy, take some pictures from me
- 20:29Speaker 1: this year, because I never get to see these pictures.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Take some pictures from me this year, you know, under
- 20:37Speaker 1: the tree. Some shots to my phone from under the tree,
- 20:46Speaker 1: coming up next to nephew, run that brank back you're
- 20:50Speaker 1: listening to show right now, Nephew in the building with
- 20:56Speaker 1: run that prank back, what you got for us today?
- 20:58Speaker 1: Nev Yo why he gave me a disease. Hello. Hello,
- 21:09Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach out. I'm trying to reach Dante.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah this is he who this? Hey? How you doing? Man? Um?
- 21:15Speaker 1: I just to be certain you Dante is married to Tammy,
- 21:17Speaker 1: right yeah, okay, cool? Cool? So listen, man. Uh so
- 21:22Speaker 1: you heard about me, you know, maybe heard my name
- 21:25Speaker 1: before because I used to day Tammy way before you
- 21:28Speaker 1: guys got married. Uh you know my name is, My
- 21:31Speaker 1: name is Marcella. So I just want to call and
- 21:33Speaker 1: say how are you doing? But I need to talk. Okay, Yeah,
- 21:37Speaker 1: I know she mentioned you mentioned y'all used to be
- 21:39Speaker 1: together before we Yeah, okay, I've heard about you. What's um?
- 21:43Speaker 1: What's the phone call for? I needed to talk to you, man.
- 21:47Speaker 1: And I've been holding this back at least four years.
- 21:51Speaker 1: You know, I haven't said anything. And you know I
- 21:54Speaker 1: can't hold it no more. Man. I'm going to through
- 21:56Speaker 1: so many issues right now. I just gotta I gotta
- 21:59Speaker 1: get this in. I got to get some gripts on
- 22:01Speaker 1: this thing that I'm going through. But you know I
- 22:04Speaker 1: wanted to come to you man, to man, talk to
- 22:06Speaker 1: you about this situation. You know. I hate to bring
- 22:09Speaker 1: it to you like this. But when me and Cammy
- 22:11Speaker 1: were together, man, I don't even say when we were together,
- 22:17Speaker 1: Cammy gave me a disease. Man. So you know I've
- 22:22Speaker 1: been holding this, you know, And I gotta say I
- 22:25Speaker 1: I wanted to hit you up. I thought about it
- 22:27Speaker 1: two years ago. I wanted like, what do you mean
- 22:32Speaker 1: like she gave you a disease? She gave me a
- 22:35Speaker 1: disease about four plus years ago, this way before y'all
- 22:38Speaker 1: got married. I'm from understanding y'all been married about three years, right, yeah,
- 22:43Speaker 1: Oh my god, Okay, okay, and you're calling me, you're
- 22:48Speaker 1: calling me. That gives me the heads up. Oh man,
- 22:51Speaker 1: I'm calling because, dude, these are the medical bills and
- 22:56Speaker 1: all this that's just completely out of control. I can't
- 22:58Speaker 1: even you know, I can't take care of myself no
- 23:01Speaker 1: more with this, you know, And I don't feel like
- 23:03Speaker 1: I have to because she the one that gave me
- 23:05Speaker 1: today up to see. Okay, So you're calling because you
- 23:09Speaker 1: want you want me to pay for you want you
- 23:12Speaker 1: want us to pay for your medical bills. Dude, I mean, damn, dude,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I mean put yourself in my position, Mary, I mean
- 23:19Speaker 1: what a brother's post with you. You know, I'm sitting
- 23:21Speaker 1: over here with a disease somebody gave me, and you
- 23:24Speaker 1: know they're going on what they like. Boh yeah, but
- 23:26Speaker 1: this is so you're calling me telling me my wife
- 23:30Speaker 1: gave you a disease. First of all, she would have
- 23:32Speaker 1: told me that. Secondly, now you're telling me like I

- 46:53Speaker 1: but he under behalf. You're siding with them. Okay, man, Kevin,
- 47:00Speaker 1: listen to me. This is really you don't even know me,
- 47:03Speaker 1: and you're gonna approach me like this. So, Kevin, they
- 47:07Speaker 1: think you have ginger vider. Oh, I mean you when
- 47:12Speaker 1: you go to your dinners, are y'all cleaning below your gums?
- 47:16Speaker 1: Dude to Dennists, do what you do. And I'm laying
- 47:18Speaker 1: there with my mouth wide open. And I go more
- 47:21Speaker 1: than in every six months. So what the hell are

- 47:32Speaker 1: you know, they're saying they love in the fourth floor
- 47:34Speaker 1: to go down to the lobby just to get some
- 47:36Speaker 1: fresh air. Because well, if this is what I want
- 47:39Speaker 1: you to do, since you speaking on their behalf, tell
- 47:43Speaker 1: every one of them sorry soul and souls that if
- 47:46Speaker 1: they got a problem with me, they need to come
- 47:48Speaker 1: approach me, and then if it's that bad, I'll blow
- 47:53Speaker 1: my stink as breath in their face, bringing off, because
- 47:56Speaker 1: this conversation with you is really way off face, because
- 48:00Speaker 1: you have no business calling me telling me because they say,
- 48:05Speaker 1: can I give you some some some items to mix
- 48:09Speaker 1: together for you to gargle with later tonight? So you work,
- 48:13Speaker 1: you work in the building, but now you're a dentist man.
- 48:17Speaker 1: You know what this is bull And we're gonna settle
- 48:20Speaker 1: this tomorrow first thing in the morning. When a matter
- 48:23Speaker 1: of fact, I'm gonna go to the full flow and
- 48:26Speaker 1: wait for all these sorry soul and souls that come
- 48:28Speaker 1: up there who's been talking about me behind my back,
- 48:31Speaker 1: and guess what you invited to the party two player,
- 48:36Speaker 1: since you're gonna be their representative, each one of them
- 48:39Speaker 1: lying back when they get in there. As far as
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'm concerned, when tomorrow get here, it's gonna be aswomping
- 48:44Speaker 1: and if you walk some of it show up. Sent
- 48:47Speaker 1: you the representative. But you can get do you do
- 48:50Speaker 1: you do you do you think it could be some
- 48:52Speaker 1: cavities or something? Do you think you can give the
- 48:55Speaker 1: cavity my foot in your cavity? This is what it's
- 48:57Speaker 1: gonna be. And whoever else you want to try to
- 49:00Speaker 1: take it out, they're gonna get it in theresh. So
- 49:02Speaker 1: guess what it's on tomorrow. I know I ain't got ginger.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Are you only brushing in the morning when you leave
- 49:08Speaker 1: for work or you only bring you? Have you not
- 49:10Speaker 1: understood me? Don't keep questioning me. You can question me
- 49:14Speaker 1: tomorrow after I will and yours? Can you bring? Can
- 49:19Speaker 1: you bring? Why did you try to do? Why'd you
- 49:21Speaker 1: do me this way? Then? I tell you? Then I
- 49:23Speaker 1: tell you? Can you bring? Can you bring your toothbrush tomorrow?
- 49:26Speaker 1: Can you bring your tooth brush? It's five fingers on
- 49:29Speaker 1: my toothbrush. I bring them. They be balled up and
- 49:32Speaker 1: you will get to mister cleaning that you ain't never
- 49:34Speaker 1: thought you would get from a bentist. Okay, they just
- 49:37Speaker 1: don't over man, Hey, hey, bro, bro, calm calm down, man,
- 49:43Speaker 1: just calm down. We're trying to get to we're trying
- 49:45Speaker 1: to fix the problem. Just gonna fix the problem, Kevin,
- 49:49Speaker 1: You kicking as is not gonna change your breath. I
- 49:53Speaker 1: ain't gonna worry about it. Well that's what line. Jokers
- 49:56Speaker 1: can come down there and sit in your cubicle. All right.
- 49:59Speaker 1: So do you you you? I mean, do you want

- 52:14Speaker 1: Let's go. Let's go buckle up a hole on tight.
- 52:16Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Oh lord, subject a father should never have to see that.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Dear mister Harvey and miss Strawberry. I am a twenty
- 52:27Speaker 1: two year old guy, and my girlfriend is twenty one.
- 52:30Speaker 1: She still lives at home and she's a virgin, so
- 52:33Speaker 1: we've been taking it slow in the sex department. I
- 52:36Speaker 1: am falling in love with this girl, and I think
- 52:39Speaker 1: she loves me. My birthday was two weeks ago and
- 52:42Speaker 1: she treated me to dinner. As I was dropping her
- 52:45Speaker 1: off at home, she told me to pull over before
- 52:48Speaker 1: I got to her house so she could give me
- 52:51Speaker 1: a surprise for my birthday. I pulled over a block
- 52:54Speaker 1: away from her house. We started making out in the car,
- 52:58Speaker 1: and then she leaned in and gave me a very
- 53:01Speaker 1: special birthday present. It was something I had never received before,
- 53:06Speaker 1: if you know what I mean. While this was happening,
- 53:12Speaker 1: listen to this though. While this was happening, I wasn't
- 53:15Speaker 1: paying attention to what was going on around me, and
- 53:18Speaker 1: I certainly didn't notice that her dad had pulled up
- 53:21Speaker 1: behind my card. Yes, yeah, yes, okay, I'll read it again, Okay, yeah, yeah, no,
- 53:37Speaker 1: all right, So, like he said, he wasn't paying attention
- 53:41Speaker 1: to what was going around going on around him, and
- 53:44Speaker 1: he certainly didn't notice that her dad had pulled up
- 53:47Speaker 1: behind the car. And at the worst possible moment. At
- 53:52Speaker 1: the worst possible moment, her dad was right there looking
- 53:56Speaker 1: through my car window. I screamed, I need a scream
- 54:02Speaker 1: from you right here, Steve. Please, you can't scream too much.
- 54:07Speaker 1: I love the way you scream. Come on, I screamed.
- 54:14Speaker 1: My girlfriend screamed, and her dad yelled for her to
- 54:17Speaker 1: get out of the car. He told me if he
- 54:21Speaker 1: ever saw me again, he would put his boot in
- 54:24Speaker 1: my white ass. Excuse me, but that's what he said.
- 54:32Speaker 1: I'm a white guy and my girlfriend is black. So
- 54:37Speaker 1: do you think he had a problem with the fact
- 54:39Speaker 1: that I'm white? Or was he just mad about what
- 54:42Speaker 1: his daughter was doing to me. I have been dating
- 54:45Speaker 1: her for a few months and race has never been
- 54:48Speaker 1: an issue. We have snucked to see each other once. Uh,
- 54:53Speaker 1: we have snucked to see each other once since this happened.
- 54:55Speaker 1: But I don't want to get hurt because my girl
- 54:58Speaker 1: said her dad was very serious about what he said.
- 55:01Speaker 1: She won't admit to her dad that it was her idea,
- 55:04Speaker 1: and I don't blame her, but I don't want to
- 55:06Speaker 1: look like the bad guy here. How can I fix
- 55:08Speaker 1: things with her dad? Or should I just stay away
- 55:11Speaker 1: from her? Please? Help well? You ask what is he
- 55:15Speaker 1: mad about? Is he mad about the fact that you're white?
- 55:17Speaker 1: Or was it what she was doing to you? And
- 55:21Speaker 1: I say to you all of the above. He's mad
- 55:25Speaker 1: at everything. He's mad at the fact that you were white.
- 55:28Speaker 1: He's mad at the fact of what she was doing
- 55:30Speaker 1: to you. You gotta put yourself in her dad's shoes
- 55:33Speaker 1: if you can. You roll up on your daughter and
- 55:36Speaker 1: she's pleasuring some guy okay, in her car. I guarantee
- 55:42Speaker 1: you you would feel some kind of way to see
- 55:46Speaker 1: your daughter in that way. But it just produces all
- 55:48Speaker 1: kind of shock and hurt and disappointment from a parent
- 55:51Speaker 1: that you can't even imagine. So I can't say that
- 55:55Speaker 1: it's just one thing that her pops was upset about. Again,
- 55:58Speaker 1: I think he's mad about every thing. The fact that
- 56:01Speaker 1: you're white. I'm sure Adam shook and I'm not gonna
- 56:04Speaker 1: lie to you about that because I'm sure that played
- 56:07Speaker 1: a part. But again, all of this is just something.
- 56:11Speaker 1: You know, you don't want to see your child doing this,
- 56:13Speaker 1: Just like children say they don't ever want to see
- 56:15Speaker 1: their parents getting busy, well, their parents certainly don't want
- 56:19Speaker 1: to see it from their kid busting up in the dodey.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Excuse me, I'm sorry, Okay, a little personal for you,
- 56:25Speaker 1: didn't a nephew. I do suggest, I do suggest, though,
- 56:31Speaker 1: young man, that you stay away, especially until things calm down,
- 56:35Speaker 1: and I don't know that they ever will because of
- 56:37Speaker 1: the lie that the daughter told the father that it
- 56:40Speaker 1: was not her fault. So you know, her dad is
- 56:45Speaker 1: just really angry and upset right now, and you're the
- 56:48Speaker 1: last person he wants to see. So there's nothing you
- 56:51Speaker 1: can do now. You know, there's a saying that says
- 56:54Speaker 1: time heals all wounds. Maybe sometime in the future you
- 56:57Speaker 1: can call if you really love her, because you said
- 57:00Speaker 1: you love her, so you know, maybe you can call
- 57:03Speaker 1: and talk to the father at some point. But right now,
- 57:05Speaker 1: my suggestion, my advice to you, is to stay away
- 57:09Speaker 1: from that situation because you will get hurt. Steve, oh boy,
- 57:15Speaker 1: this is a boy. Boy, boy boy, we got daughters. Yeah,
- 57:30Speaker 1: I understand everybody in this letter. I understand the boy,
- 57:38Speaker 1: I understand the father. We have a situation. Yet the
- 57:43Speaker 1: girl gave you a birthday surprise a block away from
- 57:48Speaker 1: her house. Now y'all making out in Nicard, and she
- 57:52Speaker 1: leaned in and get you a very special birthday pressent,
- 57:56Speaker 1: and it was something I had never received before. You
- 58:00Speaker 1: know what I mean. I'm going back in my mind
- 58:03Speaker 1: right now, boy, I know exactly what you mean. While
- 58:07Speaker 1: this was happening, I wasn't paying much attention to what's
- 58:09Speaker 1: going on. Right You can't. You can't you focus this shus.
- 58:15Speaker 1: The shot you guys are is open but to shut
- 58:18Speaker 1: because you pure space in the back of your head.
- 58:21Speaker 1: You're actually looking at your brain with your eyes and
- 58:23Speaker 1: you ain't never seen that before, so you don't even
- 58:25Speaker 1: realize it. But your eyes is wide open, but you
- 58:28Speaker 1: can't see nothing but your damn braining. I knew you
- 58:32Speaker 1: were gonna sing. Is happening? All right? Listen. We'll have
- 58:37Speaker 1: part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three
- 58:39Speaker 1: after the hour. Subject up today's Strawberry letter. A father
- 58:43Speaker 1: should never have to see that right after this. You're listening,
- 58:50Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Subject A father should never have to see that. This
- 58:57Speaker 1: boy been dating this girl the two she twittered, was
- 59:01Speaker 1: she a virgin? They've been taking it slow for sex, respectful,
- 59:06Speaker 1: but he said falling in love with this girl things
- 59:09Speaker 1: she falling in love with you. Your birthday was two
- 59:12Speaker 1: weeks ago. She treated me to dinner. I was dropping
- 59:14Speaker 1: off at home and she told me to pull over
- 59:16Speaker 1: for I got to the house so she could give
- 59:18Speaker 1: me a surprise from my birthday. I pulled over by
- 59:20Speaker 1: block away from the crible me in a car. We
- 59:23Speaker 1: started making out and here this way all hell, but
- 59:26Speaker 1: she started uh leaned in and gave me a very
- 59:31Speaker 1: special birthday press. You keep reading that over again, Very
- 59:36Speaker 1: very very special because time and it was something that
- 59:42Speaker 1: I had never received before. If you know what I mean,
- 59:48Speaker 1: I know exactly exactly what you mean, because when it
- 59:53Speaker 1: first happened, you don't know what to call sold. You
- 59:57Speaker 1: was in here and it like you're being ravaged. It's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: like all your senses have been taken away. You have
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: drifted off in two an abyss. The world doesn't stop
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: turning for you. The car engine ain't o no more.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: You ain't in the car, You in heaven as the
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: process continues. Your eyes, you say in the letter, when
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: this was happening, I wasn't paying attention to what was
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: going on around me. Boy boy, we know exactly what
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you do. You can't pay attention. You can't pay too
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: much of nothing right now. You don't know where your
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: hands are. You don't know why your teeth is gritting
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the way they are. You can't understand why your eyes
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: is open but you can't see because your pupils are
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: pointed the other way. You're looking at your brain and
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: you've never seen it before. Uh. You just saying things
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: that you speaking in a language similar to what church
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: folk do back careful called the liberty good to all
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: of this is going on? And then why you wasn't
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: paying attention? You notice that her dad, You didn't notice
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: that her dad had pulled up behind your car at
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: the worst possible moment. Her dad was right down looking
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: through my mind. What is the worst possible moment? Well,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: let me remind you, for those that have forgotten, the
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: worst possible moment is to try to clamp the water holes. Yeah,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: why are you washing the car? But the first yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: see you when you washing the car and you ain't
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: got no niles alone it and you need to stop
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: that stream of water from going on your car. You
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: got to clamp it shut. Now you could run the
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: risk of putting a hole in that hole. Really, it's
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying about washing cars. So you are now
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: at the wash the car moment, and her damn daddy
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: is looking dead in the window. I would imagine at
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: this point your head was facing the sealing. Your thoat
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: was nothing but in Adam's apple. But the words that's
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: coming out are these incoherent noises. Your dad, her daddy
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: wants to bust that damn car winder. And then her
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: dad was right there looking through my car winder. You
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: notice it because it's somebody having a big black man
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: looking at you. Why are you at the worst possible
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: moment and all of a sudden you scream. The girl screamed,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: and her dad yelled her to get out. Cut told
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: him if he ever saw me again, he gonna put
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: his boot in my white ass. Now excuse me, that's
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: what he's said, because I'm a white guy, my girlfriend black.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Do you think he had a problem with the fact
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: that I'm white? Yes, he had a problem with the
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: fat you right then and now if you didn't know
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: it before, you know it. Now ever can see you again,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna put my foot in your white ass because yes,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: he's got a problem with you being white. Right now,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: he didn't have to bring it up before, but now
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: to you down here with his daughter, he didn't bought
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: it up. I've been dating for a few months down
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: race has never been an issue? What it is? Why now?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Damn it? Listen? You can email us or instagram us

- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Come on, Junior Sho. I don't know who these people
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: are and where they come from. But on Saturday, why
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you calling any human being before eight o'clock? Why what
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: do we have to talk about at seven to fifteen am?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: There's nothing I want to talk. Like my boy called
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: me at seven. Come about what you're doing? Dog is sad?
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to sleep well here. The thing about it is,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: like he said, dog, did you see? I ain't seen nothing?
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Seventh fifteen loved people need to I'm talking just throw
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Jeff off in dressing. The phone shouldn't even be allowed
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: to work. But Poe until after eight after ten. Shit,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: but I'm I'm just saying, what made you get up?
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Pick your phone up? Said David? You know who I
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: ain't called? Let me call him right now? At what time?
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Doing that? At seven fifteen? First of all, I ain't
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: formulate a thought. And then you're another grown man talking
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: to another grown man as I lay in bed. I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: ain't really this is not comfortable. I'm not comfortable when
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you heard me saying hello, Hello, you gonna fall dog?
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Guess what what at seven fifteen? What? Why am I guessing?
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: I ain't got no shirt on right now? Do? I
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: ain't got no shirt on? You sleep? What shirtte? I'm
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: just asking, however I sleep? It ain't none of your
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: minute fifteen. I'm just something comfortable with the conversation. That's
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: all I'm saying. Okay, y'all should just just just find
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: something else that don't call people no more? That's all.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I just want to say. What's the earliest you can
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: take ten thirty seven fifteen on the set? Yeah, ten thirty.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I want to get up, have my coffee, enjoy my morning.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: What do you call me at seven fifteen? I ain't
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: got no shirt all you talk about? Guests? What what
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: this is uncomfortable. It's uncome you laying horizon talking to
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: another man except Field, don't I got I got one
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: leg in the bed, one leg out to be. That's
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: all I want to say. Just stop calling me ten thirty,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: ten thirty earlier. Don't call it. You'll be upset. Yeah,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: and the person I'm talking about it is Jake want
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: y'all know you Jake Wow. Just won't try. You know
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: though we agreed not to bring that up, to agree
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: that the same time we agree that you would not.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Both y'all Come on, I think you agree with both
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: of y'all. Both y'all sick ass NISA women, some ladies
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: something to do. Nothing, y'all waking up by y'all. Sam's
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: a shirt on you? All right? Thank you, Junior, you're
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: listening to the show. Going home for the holidays can
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: be a nightmare for some people who dealing with bickering
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: family can ruin anyone's holiday, but the real horror comes
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: when it's time to go to sleep. Being forced to
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: crash in either your childhood home or a relative place
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: over Thanksgiving or Christmas, staying it can definitely get awkward,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: which is why it shouldn't surprise us that a new
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: survey finds at fifty two percent of adults say they've
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: made up some sort of excuse specifically to avoid uncomfortable
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: sleeping arrangements over the holidays. Fifty two that's overhapp so
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: you should. Yeah, if I can walk to my kitchen Friday,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I have to thank you in my drag. There's a problem. Hey,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: listen to me. Why does holidays have to be for
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: all family? What do you what do you mean? Yeah,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: you know it ain't on law. Say all family got
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: to come over. All family got to be together. Most
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: of these people in your family that you don't like anymore,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: I'm married and have their own family, don't you invite together?
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: The family is coming together. Don't you invite who you
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: want to invite over your house but you don't like
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: them and you're gonna have them over. Yeah, well you're
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: trying to tolerate them. But that's the problem for the
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: occasion for the holiday. Yeah, I don't do that. I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: don't do that, and my wife honors that request to me.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Don't have nobody in my house on my limited time
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: off that I don't like. Just do that for me?
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Is that a lot of What about people that go
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: over their mom's house, right, or they go over their parents'
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: house and they gotta stay and put up with people
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: that they don't like for the sake of their parents.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, that's on. I don't know
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: where I ain't liked. I think here's the biggest problem.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Not you, but you may not like who's coming, but
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: you dealing well when they get down, I'm gone, yeah,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: like I'm cool with the family. It's who the family
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: brain with him that they don't tell you. Once again,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: my wife got a cousin, always gonna bring somebody. We
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: don't know who the hell he is, and you gotta
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: you can't relax. I don't need I need to get
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: him to have two spoons and keep clicking them to
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: GELP so I know where you're at. Well, when you
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: invite them, do you say plus one or you just
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: invite them and they bring someone? They don't let you know.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: She just come up with somebody new every yeah, oh
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: they already en route. Kind bring such a huh. My
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: aunt my grandmother sister, when she come over, I leave
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: because ain't nobody telling me about her condition? Needs an
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: ain'tybody told me? She huh, her memory going yeah, see,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I don't like see. I don't like that because she's
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: surprised about everything. She don't remember nobody, nothing, And every
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: time you speak to her, Hey, ain't it? She said? Who?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Who is that? Who is that? Who is that? Right there? Yeah,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: you don't want to do that. I ain't gonna five
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: hours of that. Here your plate? What's this on this plate?
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: What is that? That's turkey and dressing that you don't know?
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: This is the reason we're here today. You don't know that,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: then you gotta mash it up for you know what
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like she go to the restroom, didn't come
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: back saying Hi, I get to the bathroom. You just
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: left out of there. No, I'm not gonna do it
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: for five hours. I'm sorry. I'm not doing that. I leave.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: You ain't got to come over. That's the reason where
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: jury how you don't know turkey and dressing when you
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: see it? Man? You know who else I don't like.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I don't like them people that come over to the
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: house and take more food with them than they ain't.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Come on, I'm telling you, man, Like, are you for real? Man? Yeah,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: you're just gonna cut out half a pan of dressing.

- 1:14:21Speaker 1: you know, when Jay's off, he's usually busy, and lately
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: he's been He's been offering a lot of books. He's
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: written a new one this week and what's the title, Jay,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: When Black Men Go blind. When Black men go blind?
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Not finished with the title, that's not infinis with the title.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: When black men go blind, their lives go upside down
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: until they get that mess out of their head. It's
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: the best seller. It's gonna be that when black men
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: go blond, the lives go upside down until they get
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: that mess out of their head. Yeah. This, all the
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: research I've done in this book is unbelievable. Man, I've
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: chronicled everybody. When black men go blind, they lives go
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: upside down. Did he get that mess out of the head.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: He's so stupid, man, that j that when black men
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: go blind, When black men go blind, did you see something.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of black men who's gone blind,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: and that's what this black about. Yeah, well, flinstance, We're
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: gonna start off with Cisco. Cisco was done very well, down, down, down,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: blown all yeah, blind and lost his damn man, because
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: I can't say something about Cisco. That boy right there,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: that boy, say Lord Jesus, I never doubted that he
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: could sing, never doubted that he could sing. But when
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: he went blind, when he went blind, can't and he
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: went he went blind to everything. Um. Chapter four. This
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: is the very serious chapter. I got a chapter in
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: there about west bad Westley Snipe when he went blind
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: and demolition man didn't want to pay his taxes, lost
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: his damn man chapter chapter chapter four Westley Snipe. No,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: we cannot. We're doing fine now doing church services and everything.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: But when Kanye went blind, I mean it was side down.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I think we're doing church services. He doing fine, Blonde,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: do something to je. Never thought of that though. And last,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: but not least, this is the last chapter in the book. Um,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: what's his name? I don't give a rat tat what's
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: his name? This Roger. But here's the thing about not
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: only did he go blind, he went blue, he went russ,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: he went great, he went catch till he win this skin.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: He went Polka dot zebra skin. When black men go blind?
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: And the last book sat down and didn't get that
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: miss out of the head. SA y'all look for the book.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Sounds like a best seller. I love it. Jack. All right,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: coming up, it's Steve Harvey and his closing remarks. You
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: don't want to miss it. At forty nine after the
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: hour you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: we are our last break of the day. It's been
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: a good Thursday. Huh good day. Yeah, yeah day, Yeah,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: good day. And the only thing that will make it
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: better is you. Steve Harvey with some closing remarks, what
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: do you have for us today? Well, you know, I
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: kind of wanted to sh or something with you all
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: that I was doing my meditation. I was reading this
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: morning and it hit me because I've often said, you know,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: after the show or something, I was just you know,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: sometimes I just try to say something positive people. And
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: one time I was talking after the show and I
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: told people, I said, you know, there's a scripture that
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: quotes something to this effect that God comes to give
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you life and give you life more abundantly. And so
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I said, that's what began. The process of me asking
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: for my abundance was because of this scripture. And I
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: just don't think this is just my walk with Him
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: that as a Christian or believe or person or faith
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: that you should have to struggle through everything. You're going
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: to have challenges, You're going to have struggles, but in
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: every aspect of your life, I mean, come on, something
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: has to change for you. And so in this scripture
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: was saying that He comes to give you life and
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: give you life more abundantly. I always thought that the
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: abundance that he was talking about was material things of
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: financial blessings, you know, things of that nature. But I've
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: learned recently through my studies that having that he comes
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: to give you abundant life does not just mean things.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: It means peace of mind. It means awareness of all
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: his goodness. It means not worrying about tomorrow or having
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: regrets about the past, which issues out a lot of
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: a lot of wasted energy. It means things like that
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: that he's present in your life, that you are aware
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: of all the good things, that your eyes are open
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: to all he's done for you. And the big part
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: of it is that he gives you your daily bread,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: that today is a very very special day, and because
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: it's unlike any other day you've ever had, and he's
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: giving you a new day. So when it comes to
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: talking about an abundant life, I had to stop thinking
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: that it was just talking about things or money objects,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: innate objects, that really he's talking about an abundant life
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: through having a peace of mind, to having a realization
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: that you have a companion who is not only your friend,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: but he's also your king. You know your sovereign Lord.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: That's what he means by abundant life, that you come
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: to the realization that you're not alone in this matter.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: You come to the understanding that you have a very
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: present help if you just invited me in that can
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: help you deal, cope, handle, and understand anything that happens
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: in your life. That's what I came to the conclusion
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: that having a life and having life more abundantly stood for.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: And once I came to this realization, it opened up
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: a whole another way of thinking for me, because it's
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: just an amazing thing when you understand that you can
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: have or say so in today and all you have
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: to do is worry about today, I mean, concern yourself
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: with today's matters and don't worry about tomorrow, and don't
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: show no regrets for the past, and you can have
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: a life of abundance because you will now be living
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: in the moment, in the presence, and you'll have His
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: presence because you vited to me in even closer. That's
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: what I learned about the abundant life, that it doesn't
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: just mean monetary or physical things, that it actually means
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: peace of mind, presence, a very present help in the
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: time of trouble or relationship, someone who gets it, who's
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: always there. That's what that means. And that's what I
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: wanted you all to think about today. So when you
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: ask God to give you life, and he promised to
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: give you life and give it to you more abundantly,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: think about what the whole abundant thing is really about.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I wasted a lot of time thinking it was just
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: a reference to find answers some money. You know, it's not.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: It's so much more. And today I had an abundant
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: life because today I didn't worry about tomorrow and today,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: because that's burdening yourself with something you can't do nothing about.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: And I didn't worry. Have no regrets for my former life, Tada.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I had an abundant day today, and it caused me
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: to realize, really, man, you bless you got an abundant life.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: That's what I wanted to share with you. Those my
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: closing remarks that I got a little time on the
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: back end, but that's what I realized. I just wanted
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: to share that with you. Thank you for that. Yeah, great,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: because when you do. When I first heard it, I
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: thought the same thing too. I really did ye, I
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: was convinced of what it was. But I was doing
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: my meditation this morning and I was reading this section. Uh,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: that explains a lot of stuff, and I said, wait
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: a minute, man, No, the abundant life is. He gives
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: you peace of mind for today. He gives you awareness
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: of His presence for today, and therefore it gives you
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: a total and then it causes you to be grateful
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: for what you have today, and it opens up your
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: eyes to everything that's happening in your world right now.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Because by worrying, Uh, I watched this Sherley Luke twelve
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: and twenty five. By worrying, you cannot add one hour
