- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, so there's a fake civil war that you
- 0:03Speaker 1: need to know about that's happening right now, but actually
- 0:06Speaker 1: isn't happening at all. Elon Musk, as you know, sent
- 0:10Speaker 1: out this email over the weekend, and it was an
- 0:12Speaker 1: email to all government employees saying, Hey, tell me exactly
- 0:16Speaker 1: what you do. What have you been doing in your
- 0:18Speaker 1: job in the last five days. I have been told
- 0:21Speaker 1: by sources at the White House that the reason why
- 0:24Speaker 1: this email was sent out in the first place is
- 0:27Speaker 1: because there is data that they have at the government
- 0:31Speaker 1: now that shows that there is a significant portion of
- 0:33Speaker 1: governm employees that never checked their emails. In fact, many
- 0:37Speaker 1: of them haven't even changed their for their log in credentials,
- 0:42Speaker 1: which they have to change every sixty ninety days depending
- 0:45Speaker 1: on what their job is, and change their password hasn't
- 0:49Speaker 1: been done in months and months, and some it hasn't
- 0:52Speaker 1: even been done in years, meaning that there are people
- 0:55Speaker 1: that have not checked their email in our federal government
- 0:58Speaker 1: that we are employing that has not read a EE
- 1:00Speaker 1: because they don't have access to their email because they
- 1:02Speaker 1: haven't updated their credentials like many of you have to
- 1:05Speaker 1: do in the private sector for months and even years.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Now you want to know why Elon Musk sent this
- 1:14Speaker 1: email out. It was to see how many people don't
- 1:18Speaker 1: even check their emails. Now, if you're not checking your
- 1:20Speaker 1: emails in the federal government, it means you're probably not
- 1:23Speaker 1: doing your job at all. Now there's been a riff
- 1:27Speaker 1: because they say, oh, this is chaotic, right, And then
- 1:30Speaker 1: there was the left and union members that said this
- 1:32Speaker 1: was harassment, this is low morale, this is calling causing
- 1:37Speaker 1: anxiety because he said if you don't respond by midnight
- 1:41Speaker 1: on Monday night, that you know will take it as
- 1:43Speaker 1: you're resigning from your job. Welcome to the real world
- 1:46Speaker 1: of being an adult. If you're not checking your email,
- 1:49Speaker 1: if you don't know how to log into your email,
- 1:52Speaker 1: then you're not doing your job within our government. If
- 1:55Speaker 1: this triggered you and you think that you need a
- 1:57Speaker 1: quote safe space, I'm sorry, sorry. I don't want you
- 2:01Speaker 1: employed either at the federal government because it means you're
- 2:03Speaker 1: probably not doing your job. And there are so many
- 2:07Speaker 1: people that have been coming into offices. It reminds me
- 2:09Speaker 1: of that movie Office Space where there's that random guy
- 2:12Speaker 1: who has been like fire, but he keeps showing it
- 2:14Speaker 1: for work and keeps getting a paycheck and they just
- 2:16Speaker 1: keep moving him around. Apparently that's what our federal government's
- 2:20Speaker 1: been doing for decades. So emailing your boss and or
- 2:26Speaker 1: I should say, responding back to Doe saying hey, what
- 2:29Speaker 1: do you do in your job? What did you do
- 2:32Speaker 1: in the last week in your job? Five things you
- 2:34Speaker 1: did we want to know. This should be nothing that
- 2:39Speaker 1: would scare or should scare any employee unless you literally
- 2:44Speaker 1: do not know what you're doing or you do not work.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Now the media has come in. They've tried to say
- 2:50Speaker 1: that Elon muskuin rogue because there are some agencies that
- 2:54Speaker 1: have said, hey, you don't have to email back. Why well,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I mean some of them are undercover people, for example
- 3:00Speaker 1: the FBI or Department of Homeland Security. Maybe you work
- 3:03Speaker 1: with spies. In that scenario, we don't want you emailing back.
- 3:06Speaker 1: So they did say, hey, go to your boss and
- 3:09Speaker 1: tell him or her what you are doing. The point
- 3:12Speaker 1: is this was not a crazy idea. There's no war
- 3:17Speaker 1: between Donald Trump and Elon Musk over this. They're trying
- 3:20Speaker 1: to drive a wedge between Elon Musk and Donald Trump,
- 3:23Speaker 1: and they're trying to say, oh, Donald Trump, he went
- 3:25Speaker 1: rogue and he's overshadowing you, or he's bigger than you,
- 3:28Speaker 1: or he's going crazy over here. You still want to
- 3:32Speaker 1: endorse Elon Muskin. Doge, I want you to hear what
- 3:34Speaker 1: the President had to say at the White House, because
- 3:37Speaker 1: he's not taking the bait either. He said, we decided
- 3:41Speaker 1: to send at this email. I told him that something
- 3:44Speaker 1: I wanted to do. He's not taking the bait from
- 3:48Speaker 1: the left. Listen a Doge soon.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Do you think that Doge could benefit from more streamline communications.
- 3:55Speaker 2: There was that email telling employees to do five things
- 3:58Speaker 2: that they've.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Done last week.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Agency heads then told people to ignore it.
- 4:02Speaker 3: But you learn about the last email that was sent
- 4:04Speaker 3: where he wanted to know what you did this week?
- 4:07Speaker 1: You know why he wanted that.
- 4:08Speaker 3: By the way, I thought it was great because we
- 4:12Speaker 3: have people that don't show up to work and nobody
- 4:14Speaker 3: even knows if they work for the government. So by
- 4:16Speaker 3: asking the question tell us what you did this week,
- 4:19Speaker 3: what he's doing is saying are you actually working? And
- 4:22Speaker 3: then if you don't answer, like you're sort of semi
- 4:25Speaker 3: fired or you're fired because a lot of people are
- 4:29Speaker 3: not answering because they don't even exist. They're trying to
- 4:32Speaker 3: find that's how badly various parts of our government were
- 4:35Speaker 3: run by it, especially by this last group. So what
- 4:39Speaker 3: they're doing is they're trying to find out who's working
- 4:41Speaker 3: for the government. Are we paying other people that aren't working?
- 4:45Speaker 3: And you know, where's all that?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Where's the money guns?
- 4:50Speaker 3: So I think it was actually there was a lot
- 4:52Speaker 3: of genius in sending it. We're trying to find out
- 4:54Speaker 3: if people are working, and so we're sending a letter
- 4:57Speaker 3: to people, please tell us what you did last week.
- 5:00Speaker 3: If people don't respond, it's very possible that there is
- 5:03Speaker 3: no such person or.
- 5:04Speaker 4: They're not working.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Some of the agency heads instructed their employees not to
- 5:08Speaker 2: respond because they were waiting on further guidance. But Elon
- 5:11Speaker 2: Musk's tweet said a failure to respond would be taken
- 5:13Speaker 2: as a resignation. So there's been a disconnect in communications.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Are you concerned all about oh wait, no, no, no,
- 5:18Speaker 3: that was done in a friendly manner. Only things such
- 5:21Speaker 3: as perhaps Marco at State Department where they have very
- 5:25Speaker 3: confidential things, or the FBI where they're working on confidential things.
- 5:29Speaker 3: And they don't mean that in any way combatively with Elon.
- 5:33Speaker 3: They're just saying there are some people that you don't
- 5:35Speaker 3: want to really have them tell you what they're working on.
- 5:39Speaker 3: But other than that, I think everyone thought it was
- 5:42Speaker 3: a pretty ingenious said we have to find out where
- 5:44Speaker 3: these people are, who are they? And we said if
- 5:47Speaker 3: you don't respond, we assume you're not around.
- 5:50Speaker 2: And that holds.
- 5:51Speaker 3: That stands, and you're not getting paid anymore too. So
- 5:54Speaker 3: you know, we're doing a real job. And we just
- 5:56Speaker 3: had a poll come out, I guess the Harvard poll
- 5:59Speaker 3: saying that it's this massively popular, what would do it now?
- 6:02Speaker 1: To be clear, the president also understands he has a
- 6:04Speaker 1: mandate here and the poll he mentioned, the new Harvard
- 6:06Speaker 1: Harris poll is significant. Trump's approval rating is at fifty
- 6:10Speaker 1: two percent, disapproval at forty three percent. Forty three percent
- 6:14Speaker 1: of Americans that identify as hardcore liberal Democrats they don't
- 6:18Speaker 1: like him. But here's what's interesting. When you take Trump's
- 6:22Speaker 1: name out of the poll question and you ask them
- 6:25Speaker 1: about policies, overwhelming the American people are in favor of
- 6:29Speaker 1: what Donald Trump and Elon Musk are doing, including this email,
- 6:34Speaker 1: fifty eight percent of Americans say that Donald Trump is
- 6:37Speaker 1: doing better than Joe Biden. That is bipartisan support eighty
- 6:42Speaker 1: one percent of Americans again clearly bipartisan support. Eighty one
- 6:47Speaker 1: percent support deporting criminal aliens. There is a massive mandate
- 6:52Speaker 1: for that. Seventy six percent, again is bipartisan support. Say
- 6:58Speaker 1: that they are in favor of eliminating fraud, waste, and
- 7:01Speaker 1: abuse aka seventy six percent of Americans are supporting the
- 7:05Speaker 1: work of DOGE. We also know that seventy six percent,
- 7:09Speaker 1: also a super majority right biparson support support closing the
- 7:14Speaker 1: US border seventy percent. Again, this is bipartisan of American
- 7:20Speaker 1: voters support merit based hiring, meaning they do not believe
- 7:25Speaker 1: that the US government's job should be to just hire
- 7:27Speaker 1: everybody based on their you know, DEI practices, the color
- 7:31Speaker 1: of their skin, their ethnicity, are their race, or their sexuality,
- 7:36Speaker 1: however you want to put it. They think it should
- 7:38Speaker 1: be merit base. And if you're just showing up for
- 7:40Speaker 1: a job because you've had a job forever and you
- 7:42Speaker 1: don't do anything and you can't check your email, well
- 7:45Speaker 1: guess what the American people are fine with Elon Muskin,
- 7:49Speaker 1: Donald Trump cutting bad employees. We also know that sixty
- 7:54Speaker 1: percent of Americans, that is a major majority, think that
- 7:59Speaker 1: dough is helping this country get back physcal responsibility, and
- 8:05Speaker 1: that dog is helping protect their tax dollars. You look
- 8:09Speaker 1: at this Harvard Harris Pole, and it's exactly what Donald
- 8:12Speaker 1: Trump said there. This is an email I was in
- 8:15Speaker 1: favor of. This is an email that we clearly wanted
- 8:18Speaker 1: to get out there and see what the response was. Now,
- 8:21Speaker 1: are there caveats to this email in some parts of
- 8:24Speaker 1: the government, at the FBI or the CIA, Sure, are
- 8:28Speaker 1: we okay at the directive change? Yes, But in general,
- 8:32Speaker 1: the largest employer in the US is the US government.
- 8:35Speaker 1: We want to see who's even checking their emails. Now
- 8:38Speaker 1: for the left that think that this is a terrible idea,
- 8:42Speaker 1: or that's inhumane, or this is some sort of harassment,
- 8:46Speaker 1: let me also remind you that the Trump administration and
- 8:49Speaker 1: Elon Musk send out an email to every government employee
- 8:53Speaker 1: recently offering them one of the most i mean historic
- 8:59Speaker 1: buyouts to quit your job at the federal government. There
- 9:03Speaker 1: are many people in our government that took the deal.
- 9:07Speaker 1: It's something far greater than you could have ever imagined
- 9:10Speaker 1: ever being offered in your entire life from the private sector.
- 9:13Speaker 1: So if you don't like the fact that now the
- 9:16Speaker 1: same government that said please quit and here's a huge
- 9:19Speaker 1: paycheck to do it, is now saying, okay, you didn't quit.
- 9:23Speaker 1: We now want to know if you're doing your job,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and now you want to cry about it. I'm sorry.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Welcome to being an adult and living in the real world.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And Donald Trump is right. He is doing what the
- 9:33Speaker 1: American people have told him that they want him to do.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I want to move on now to a vote that
- 9:40Speaker 1: took place in the United Nations. And there are certain
- 9:44Speaker 1: days where the level of propaganda that is coming out
- 9:50Speaker 1: against the Trump administration is going to be on a
- 9:52Speaker 1: different level. And this United Nations vote to quote condemn
- 9:58Speaker 1: Russia for invading Ukraine is a perfect example of the
- 10:04Speaker 1: United Nations going into propaganda mode to make you hate
- 10:10Speaker 1: Donald Trump, to make the world hate Donald Trump. Now,
- 10:13Speaker 1: let me explain to you the details on this so
- 10:16Speaker 1: that you understand the true story here. Number one, if
- 10:21Speaker 1: you want to condemn Russia for invading Ukraine, this could
- 10:24Speaker 1: have been done three years ago. Why is the United
- 10:27Speaker 1: Nations doing it right now? Why did they wait till
- 10:31Speaker 1: literally February the twenty fourth to have a United Nations
- 10:36Speaker 1: quote General Assembly adopted this resolution condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Now,
- 10:43Speaker 1: why didn't they do it six months ago, year ago,
- 10:44Speaker 1: two years ago, three yars ago. Because now it's about
- 10:46Speaker 1: the propaganda. Many of these countries want this war to continue.
- 10:52Speaker 1: There are many people involved that love the amount of
- 10:55Speaker 1: money that is coming into this war, that's funneling through
- 10:58Speaker 1: the war to their pockets. There are ninety three countries
- 11:02Speaker 1: voted in favor of condemning Russia, eighteen against, including the
- 11:08Speaker 1: United States and Russia. Now that's where the propaganda hits, Like,
- 11:11Speaker 1: how could America stand there and vote with Russia and
- 11:15Speaker 1: not condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Well, the simple answer
- 11:19Speaker 1: is this, Donald Trump wants a deal done and wants
- 11:23Speaker 1: to actually stop the war and stop the killing of
- 11:26Speaker 1: hundreds of thousands of people. We are witnessing right now
- 11:30Speaker 1: some of the most barbaric actions on the Ukraine and
- 11:34Speaker 1: Russia side that are happening. A great example are many
- 11:39Speaker 1: Russian soldiers that are being recycled or reused where they
- 11:45Speaker 1: have had horrific war injuries and they're send them back
- 11:48Speaker 1: to the front lines with limbs blown off, walking on crutches,
- 11:53Speaker 1: with staples in their stomach, this is now what is happening.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So it's pretty clear when you look at the scenario
- 12:02Speaker 1: that there's no reason for us to antagonize Russia when
- 12:05Speaker 1: we're trying to get them to the table. That's the
- 12:07Speaker 1: President's clear message. It's also what Marco Rubio said an
- 12:12Speaker 1: exclusive interview with Breitbart Take a listen.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Well on the broader resolution, we think the UN needs
- 12:16Speaker 5: to get if it's going to be useful in the
- 12:18Speaker 5: twenty first century. The UN needs to get back to
- 12:20Speaker 5: its charter mission, which is the prevention in the ending
- 12:22Speaker 5: of war in conflict. And so we felt everyone knows,
- 12:25Speaker 5: you know, you can go back and read the newspaper
- 12:27Speaker 5: articles over the last three years and figure out what
- 12:29Speaker 5: happened in Ukraine. But now, as the President's made very clear,
- 12:32Speaker 5: President Trump wants to end this war. He thinks far
- 12:34Speaker 5: too many people have died, and he wants to bring
- 12:36Speaker 5: it to an end. So we didn't feel it was conducive, frankly,
- 12:40Speaker 5: to have something out there at the UN that's antagonistic
- 12:43Speaker 5: against either side. We're trying to get these guys to
- 12:44Speaker 5: the table, and unfortunately Ukraine didn't agree. They wanted to
- 12:48Speaker 5: move forward on theirs. We then went to the Security
- 12:50Speaker 5: Council with our compromise, which I think is a very
- 12:53Speaker 5: fair language, and it basically says war is a terrible thing.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I mean, I'm paraphrasing and I'm being simplistic, but it says.
- 12:59Speaker 1: War is a terrible way.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Too many people have died. This war needs to end
- 13:03Speaker 5: in a way that's enduring, an essence echoing President Trump's
- 13:07Speaker 5: view of what this conflict needs to be and reminding
- 13:10Speaker 5: the United Nations at the purpose of the United Nations
- 13:14Speaker 5: was the prevention of war and the ending of conflicts,
- 13:17Speaker 5: not making it harder to end conflicts. So I thought
- 13:20Speaker 5: it was good that we got it done at the
- 13:22Speaker 5: Security Council. The Russians didn't veto it, which is a
- 13:24Speaker 5: good sign. I'm not telling you that that is going
- 13:26Speaker 5: to end this conflict. And I can't wait till a
- 13:28Speaker 5: least the Phonic is there, because it'd be great to
- 13:30Speaker 5: have her leadership. But I certainly think our language is
- 13:34Speaker 5: better language and hopefully further is the cause of peace.
- 13:38Speaker 4: President Trump, today alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, said that
- 13:42Speaker 4: he hopes that this can be resolved in a matter
- 13:45Speaker 4: of weeks, not months. Weeks. What are some of the
- 13:49Speaker 4: major steps that we need to take to get to
- 13:51Speaker 4: that point.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Well, I think the President would want it to end yesterday, right.
- 13:54Speaker 5: He thinks already too many people have died, There's been
- 13:56Speaker 5: too much destruction. By the way, I think everybody should
- 13:58Speaker 5: be very happy that President Trump as a peace president.
- 14:01Speaker 5: We have a president that wants to end wars, not
- 14:03Speaker 5: start new ones. He wants to end human suffering, not
- 14:06Speaker 5: exacerbated or extended. Now that said, it's a conflict, it's
- 14:10Speaker 5: a war, and it's going back and forth. We got
- 14:12Speaker 5: to get them both to the table, starting with the Russians.
- 14:15Speaker 5: So we met with him last week and the basic
- 14:17Speaker 5: question of that meeting was are you interested in ending
- 14:19Speaker 5: this conflict or not? A lot of people don't know
- 14:21Speaker 5: the answer to that. If you talk to some in Europe,
- 14:23Speaker 5: they'll tell you that Putin is not interested in ending
- 14:25Speaker 5: the war. They said they would be under the right conditions.
- 14:28Speaker 5: We didn't discuss what those conditions were. So the next
- 14:30Speaker 5: step now is to meet with them again at some point,
- 14:32Speaker 5: with the right group of people in the room and
- 14:34Speaker 5: begin to outline what would it take for Russia to
- 14:37Speaker 5: stop a war. And obviously we got to ask Ukraine
- 14:39Speaker 5: the same question, because you can't stop a war unless
- 14:42Speaker 5: both sides agree to it. So whether it takes days
- 14:45Speaker 5: or weeks or what have you, we're going to begin
- 14:47Speaker 5: that process. It may not work out, But why would
- 14:49Speaker 5: anybody criticize President Trump for wanting to end a war
- 14:52Speaker 5: that's cost billions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of lives,
- 14:56Speaker 5: and tremendous and ongoing human suffering.
- 14:59Speaker 1: It is very clear that if we would have voted
- 15:01Speaker 1: in the UN resolution to condemn Russia, that it's not
- 15:05Speaker 1: going to bring Russia the table, and that means that
- 15:07Speaker 1: the war's going to drag on for months, if not
- 15:10Speaker 1: years longer, with massive casualties in human suffering. The President
- 15:16Speaker 1: wants the war to end. Now. There is also a
- 15:19Speaker 1: big fake outrage over something else that happened over the weekend,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and that was when Donald Trump said that he believes
- 15:27Speaker 1: that Ukraine is actually partly responsible for the Russian invasion.
- 15:33Speaker 1: The White House, of course, had their press briefing and
- 15:38Speaker 1: this was part of the back and forth on that story.
- 15:41Speaker 6: And the president's post on truth Social yesterday.
- 15:44Speaker 7: Need to know who does he think it's more responsible
- 15:47Speaker 7: for the Russian invasion of Ukraine putin ort Zelensky.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Well, look, his goal, Peter, is to bring this war
- 15:55Speaker 8: to an end period, and there has been ongoing fighting
- 16:00Speaker 8: on both sides. It is World War One style trench warfare.
- 16:06Speaker 8: His frustration with President Zelenski is that you've heard is
- 16:10Speaker 8: multifold one. There needs to be a deep appreciation for
- 16:15Speaker 8: what the American people, what the American taxpayer, what President
- 16:18Speaker 8: Trump did in his first term, and what we've done since.
- 16:23Speaker 8: So some of the rhetoric coming out of Kiev, frankly
- 16:26Speaker 8: and insults to President Trump were unacceptable. Number one. Number two,
- 16:31Speaker 8: our own Secretary of Treasury personally made the trip to
- 16:34Speaker 8: offer the Ukrainians what can only be described as a
- 16:39Speaker 8: historic opportunity. That is for America to co invest with
- 16:43Speaker 8: Ukraine in their minerals, in their resources to truly grow
- 16:48Speaker 8: the pie. So case in point, there's a foundry that
- 16:51Speaker 8: processes aluminum in Ukraine. It's been damaged, it's not at
- 16:55Speaker 8: its current capacity. If that is restored, it would account
- 17:00Speaker 8: for America's entire imports of aluminum for an entire year
- 17:05Speaker 8: that one foundry. There are tremendous resources there. Not only
- 17:09Speaker 8: is that long term security for Ukraine. Not only do
- 17:12Speaker 8: we help them grow the pie with investments, but you know,
- 17:16Speaker 8: we do have an obligation to the American taxpayer and
- 17:19Speaker 8: helping them recoup the hundreds of billions that have occurred. So,
- 17:25Speaker 8: you know, rather than enter into some constructive conversations about
- 17:30Speaker 8: what that deal should be going forward, we got a
- 17:33Speaker 8: lot of rhetoric in the media that was incredibly unfortunate.
- 17:37Speaker 8: And I could just tell you, Peter, you know, as
- 17:40Speaker 8: a veteran, as somebody who's been in combat, this war
- 17:43Speaker 8: is horrific, and I think we've lost sight of that,
- 17:47Speaker 8: of the literally thousands of people that are dying a day,
- 17:51Speaker 8: families that are going without the next generation. And I
- 17:55Speaker 8: find it kind of, you know, frankly ridiculous. So many
- 17:58Speaker 8: people in Washington, we're just demanding, pounding the table for
- 18:02Speaker 8: a ceasefire, and Gaza are suddenly aghast that the President
- 18:06Speaker 8: would demand one, and both sides come to the table
- 18:09Speaker 8: when it talks to when it comes to Ukraine, a
- 18:13Speaker 8: war that has been arguably far greater in scope and
- 18:19Speaker 8: scale and far more dangerous in terms of global escalation
- 18:22Speaker 8: to US security.
- 18:24Speaker 1: You listen to that, and you hear the White House
- 18:27Speaker 1: talking they're not taking this bait, and they're saying to
- 18:31Speaker 1: the American people and to the world, we are trying
- 18:35Speaker 1: to get a deal done. Other countries are trying to
- 18:37Speaker 1: keep this war going. Many in the media are obsessed
- 18:41Speaker 1: with keeping this war going. That is not something we're
- 18:44Speaker 1: going to do. We're not going to poke the bear.
- 18:46Speaker 1: We're not going to sit here and try to make
- 18:49Speaker 1: things worse or extend this war. And the majority of Americans,
- 18:53Speaker 1: by the way, are in favor of their tax hours
- 18:56Speaker 1: not going to continue on this path of war indefinitely.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So I gotta tell you, understanding the context of what's
- 19:07Speaker 1: happening here is just so important. Understanding why the President didn't,
- 19:13Speaker 1: you know, jump in at the United Nations and Rubio
- 19:16Speaker 1: with this, with this, you know, oh, we've got to
- 19:18Speaker 1: condemn now and keep things going. Understand the art of
- 19:22Speaker 1: the deal here is incredibly important so that we don't
- 19:26Speaker 1: get bamboozled into a longer war and more of our money.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And by the way, fifty percent of all the money
- 19:33Speaker 1: sent to Ukraine, in Zelensky's words, has quote disappeared. Think
- 19:37Speaker 1: about that, sor right. I want to give you some
- 19:40Speaker 1: news that deals with energy independence and the Keystone XL pipeline.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm going to play for you something from seven years ago.
- 19:50Speaker 1: This was a report on CNBC again from seven years ago.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Following up on an executive order that the presidents signed
- 20:00Speaker 7: back on January the twenty fourth, setting in motion the
- 20:04Speaker 7: process to approve the Keystone Excel pipeline. Today will be
- 20:07Speaker 7: the official go ahead from the White House. We're expecting
- 20:09Speaker 7: a number of executives, including those from Trans Canada, which
- 20:12Speaker 7: put out a statement this morning on this. Here's what
- 20:15Speaker 7: they have said, and we'll hear from their CEO we
- 20:17Speaker 7: expect at the event here at the White House today.
- 20:19Speaker 7: They say this is a significant milestone for Keystone XL project.
- 20:23Speaker 7: We greatly appreciate President Trump's administration for reviewing and approving
- 20:28Speaker 7: this important initiative, and we look forward to working with
- 20:31Speaker 7: them as we continue to invest in and strengthen North
- 20:34Speaker 7: America's energy infrastructure. Now, take a look at some of
- 20:38Speaker 7: the oil and gas executives who we expect will be
- 20:40Speaker 7: in the room with the President for this event today.
- 20:42Speaker 7: It's a long list of folks from Quantum Services, Well Spun,
- 20:46Speaker 7: Global Trade, trans Canada, and others, all of whom are
- 20:50Speaker 7: in the oil and gas business. In one way or
- 20:52Speaker 7: the other, all of whom expect to benefit from the
- 20:54Speaker 7: Keystone pipeline. This is simply this White House guy's enacting
- 20:57Speaker 7: a campaign promise. They ran on it, and they're doing
- 21:00Speaker 7: it today.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Carl, Now that was seven years ago. I want to
- 21:03Speaker 1: go back and play that for you, because there are
- 21:06Speaker 1: certain policies that are just good policies that should be
- 21:12Speaker 1: re enacted. A great example is securing the southern border.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Another example is building the wall. Well, building the Keystone
- 21:20Speaker 1: pipeline is another part of this. The President of the
- 21:24Speaker 1: United States of America coming out yesterday and making it
- 21:27Speaker 1: clear that he wants the Keystone Pipeline to be built.
- 21:32Speaker 1: The President said on Monday that the Keystone Exo pipeline,
- 21:35Speaker 1: which was opposed for years by activists fighting against climate change,
- 21:40Speaker 1: it's time to get it done. The pipeline, which was
- 21:43Speaker 1: proposed back in eight to bring oil from Kenna's Western
- 21:46Speaker 1: Tar Sans to US refiners, was halted in twenty twenty
- 21:50Speaker 1: one by the owner TC Energy Court. Why well, the President,
- 21:55Speaker 1: Joe Biden at the time revoked a key permit needed
- 21:58Speaker 1: for a US stretch of the project. Quote, our country's
- 22:03Speaker 1: doing really well, and today I was just thinking that
- 22:06Speaker 1: the company building the Keystone XL pipeline that was viciously
- 22:11Speaker 1: jettisoned by the incombinant Biden administration should come back to America,
- 22:17Speaker 1: Trump said, and get it built now. I know they
- 22:21Speaker 1: were treated very badly by Joe Biden, but the Trump
- 22:24Speaker 1: administration is very different. Easy approvals, almost an immediate start.
- 22:29Speaker 1: If not them, perhaps another pipeline company. We want the
- 22:34Speaker 1: Keystone XL pipeline built. Exclamation point, Trump said on True
- 22:38Speaker 1: Social there's also Kevin O'Leary. You may know him from
- 22:42Speaker 1: Shark Tank. He was asked about the idea of reviving
- 22:48Speaker 1: the Keystone pipeline and this is what he said for
- 22:51Speaker 1: about energy independence and also the American people on Fox
- 22:56Speaker 1: Business take a listen.
- 22:58Speaker 9: He's been given this mandate. I don't think he has
- 23:00Speaker 9: any choice. I mean, he campaigned on it. He won,
- 23:03Speaker 9: as many are calling a landslide, and it was so
- 23:06Speaker 9: he's got to do this stuff. They're expecting him, the constituency,
- 23:09Speaker 9: the voterform is expecting it. The Keystone pipeline is a
- 23:13Speaker 9: very interesting development because that thing was scrapped. But now
- 23:18Speaker 9: he's got a movement up in Canada with Premier Smith
- 23:22Speaker 9: of Alberta all the way down through the governors in Oklahoma.
- 23:28Speaker 9: They're going to bypass Montana on this thing, which was
- 23:30Speaker 9: so contentious. I think you'll see that thing revived. I
- 23:33Speaker 9: think it's actually going to happen. I think it's going
- 23:34Speaker 9: to be great for energy independence. They're not going to
- 23:38Speaker 9: call it Keystone Xcel. I can guarantee you that. I
- 23:40Speaker 9: think it'll be something like the Freedom line or the
- 23:43Speaker 9: independence line.
- 23:44Speaker 7: That was a bad name.
- 23:45Speaker 2: They'll fix that.
- 23:46Speaker 9: But I love it when the policy's getting aligned up
- 23:49Speaker 9: in the Canadian energy sector. They got the new Prime minister,
- 23:52Speaker 9: probably their full of view loves he's going to lift
- 23:55Speaker 9: the ban on pipelines and Smith, Premiere Smith. She's a
- 24:00Speaker 9: rock star up there and she's meeting with all the governors.
- 24:03Speaker 6: This thing's gonna happen really interesting. So increased domestic energy supply,
- 24:08Speaker 6: maybe take crew to fifty dollars a barrel. That's deflationary
- 24:11Speaker 6: to lower inflation at least US energy, lower all the
- 24:14Speaker 6: input costs and utility bills, lower interest rates and mortgage rates.
- 24:19Speaker 1: You listen to what the president has done in the
- 24:22Speaker 1: last six weeks. He went after Canada with twenty five
- 24:26Speaker 1: percent tariffs because they were having an open border and
- 24:29Speaker 1: not stopping enough of the fentanyl coming across our northern border.
- 24:34Speaker 1: He then, in essence, got rid of Trudeau and was
- 24:38Speaker 1: able to get him out of hour because of what
- 24:42Speaker 1: a socialist he was. And there were people saying, wow,
- 24:45Speaker 1: the president's acting reckless when it comes to Canada. No,
- 24:50Speaker 1: he was trying to get a better deal for Americans.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And notice how fast they're pivoting. We don't have the
- 24:57Speaker 1: twenty five percent tariffs on Canada. We're figuring bring out
- 25:00Speaker 1: a deal, certainly with a trade deficit. And many think
- 25:04Speaker 1: that Canada was taking advantage of America. That's now being corrected.
- 25:09Speaker 1: But now the President's like, all right, well, let's move
- 25:11Speaker 1: on to the Keystone Pipeline, which is something that Canada
- 25:15Speaker 1: would desperately want based on the pass, something that Kevin
- 25:20Speaker 1: O'Leary there, mister wonderful explained, not only does just lower
- 25:24Speaker 1: the price of oil and gas, but it also gives
- 25:26Speaker 1: us energy into penance. It also is going to help
- 25:29Speaker 1: with inflation, and that's something that the President has been
- 25:33Speaker 1: so focused on, which is the American people are hurting.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I mean, the American people are really struggling. And this
- 25:41Speaker 1: keystone pipeline would have a huge impact to make a
- 25:45Speaker 1: lot of the problems that we have disappear. It also
- 25:49Speaker 1: is a national security issue, which this was part of
- 25:52Speaker 1: the grand debate that was had over this was look,
- 25:56Speaker 1: is this not a national security issue? When you have
- 26:00Speaker 1: oil prices and you don't have the oil coming in
- 26:02Speaker 1: from Canada, you're helping Russia, you're helping the Middle East
- 26:07Speaker 1: countries like Iran, and that's not good for our national security.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And so the president here, this isn't just about the
- 26:17Speaker 1: issue of costs. And that's good, right for the American people,
- 26:20Speaker 1: There's no doubt about it. Okay, Like that is very
- 26:23Speaker 1: very good for the American people, and they are hurting
- 26:26Speaker 1: and they're suffering, and they need inflation to come down.
- 26:29Speaker 1: But what you're also doing is this is a two
- 26:31Speaker 1: part thing. It's that and it's the issue of national
- 26:35Speaker 1: security and national security when there's not many things you
- 26:39Speaker 1: can do that at the same time that can help
- 26:41Speaker 1: the economy and help national security by doing something as
- 26:46Speaker 1: simplistic as what was just described, like this is really
- 26:50Speaker 1: amazing that the President is like, hey, two three weeks ago, Canada,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you're on my list and I'm sick and tired of
- 26:58Speaker 1: you taking advantage of us. And then all of a sudden,
- 27:01Speaker 1: the President's like, all right, now that we're figuring that out,
- 27:04Speaker 1: let's go back to building that pipeline that you guys
- 27:07Speaker 1: really really wanted and we're excited about that, and let's
- 27:10Speaker 1: get it done. And if the first company that was
- 27:12Speaker 1: doing it doesn't want to take that risk, well then
- 27:14Speaker 1: let's find another company to take that risk. Like this,
- 27:18Speaker 1: This is the brilliance of the tariffs negotiations that the
- 27:23Speaker 1: President had did day one. Now, remember the left and
- 27:26Speaker 1: the media, we're freaking out saying that you know, this
- 27:28Speaker 1: is going to hurt Americans and going to crush Americans
- 27:31Speaker 1: with these tariffs. Memory, it was Canada and Mexico twenty
- 27:33Speaker 1: five percent. We have a ten percent tariff already right now.
- 27:37Speaker 1: That is not going to go away anytime soon. On China,
- 27:40Speaker 1: but Russia is actually making a lot of money right
- 27:45Speaker 1: now because of our lack of energy independence. It has
- 27:48Speaker 1: made their oil go up, It's allowed for their war
- 27:52Speaker 1: to be financed, it has given them great leverage. Iran
- 27:56Speaker 1: has been able to make themselves an incredible amount of
- 27:59Speaker 1: money in the middle. That's also a major problem. I
- 28:03Speaker 1: think we can all agree with that. We don't want
- 28:04Speaker 1: to ran to be flourishing with their oil, and they
- 28:07Speaker 1: are flourishing with their oil right now in a way
- 28:10Speaker 1: that we need to get the price of oil down
- 28:12Speaker 1: and it's an issue of inflation. So you combine these
- 28:16Speaker 1: two and the President comes out as like, yeah, let's
- 28:18Speaker 1: get a deal done. I think we are going to
- 28:20Speaker 1: get a deal done. I think Kevin O'Leary is saying
- 28:22Speaker 1: he's got a mandate, and Trump reviving the Keystone Pipeline
- 28:26Speaker 1: would be great for energy independence. That translates into national
- 28:30Speaker 1: security implications that are positive for the American people, and
- 28:35Speaker 1: not just positive, but they're also about the inflation issues.
- 28:40Speaker 1: When you can combine all of this this way, like
- 28:43Speaker 1: we should all be cheering this on now. The media
- 28:46Speaker 1: is not going to do it. We know that the
- 28:48Speaker 1: media is not going to tell you all that I
- 28:50Speaker 1: just explained to you because they don't want him to
- 28:52Speaker 1: have success. But every single one of you we should
- 28:55Speaker 1: be in favor of this. Make sure you share this
- 28:58Speaker 1: podcast please wherever you are and so social media, and
- 29:00Speaker 1: I'll see you back here tomorrow.
