- 0:12Speaker 2: Don't given them.

- 0:39Speaker 2: Joy, Yeah, Joy, second, you don't use that love. Turn
- 1:24Speaker 2: you gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Turn you probably got to turn the mouth, turn out
- 1:46Speaker 4: the water the money.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on, you think that? Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Good morning everybody, y'all.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Listening to the voice, come on, dig me now, One
- 2:08Speaker 4: and only Steve Harvey Man oh Man got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 2:13Speaker 4: God so big to me, man, I just have to
- 2:16Speaker 4: tell you about it. I can't help it. It's rather
- 2:19Speaker 4: obvious to me how big, how good God is. He's
- 2:23Speaker 4: absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain. He owned one, he'd
- 2:30Speaker 4: be clowning, he'd be just showing out.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Man.
- 2:34Speaker 4: I'm just over here, just on the receiving end. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 4: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:43Speaker 4: mission today? What are you waiting for? Why do we
- 2:49Speaker 4: as people delay what we want or delay the process
- 2:58Speaker 4: to begin what we want on our hopes, our dreams,
- 3:02Speaker 4: our desires. Why won't you start your mission today? Why
- 3:06Speaker 4: don't we all decide together that just individually. Look you listening,
- 3:14Speaker 4: you got something that you've been dreaming about. You got
- 3:16Speaker 4: an ambition of yours that's not yet fulfilled. You got
- 3:19Speaker 4: goals you haven't accomplished yet. Everybody has them. Everybody's got them.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Everybody's got something that's on the table that they haven't
- 3:29Speaker 4: yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for? Start your
- 3:33Speaker 4: mission today? Stop the procrastination. Now, the procrastination is only
- 3:39Speaker 4: hurting you yourself. If you got a goal of aspiration
- 3:43Speaker 4: to dream and you fall off track momentarily, you can
- 3:47Speaker 4: get back to that because God knows where you're left off.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:52Speaker 4: You may have to accomplish a few more things since
- 3:54Speaker 4: you stopped for a long period of time, but God
- 3:56Speaker 4: know where you left off. You can get back on track. Look, man,
- 4:01Speaker 4: this dream of being on TV since I was a kid,
- 4:03Speaker 4: and it got off track. Now it got off track.
- 4:07Speaker 4: I just kept it as one of the dreams, and
- 4:10Speaker 4: in some real dog moments when it looked like it
- 4:13Speaker 4: wasn't gonna happen, all I was hanging on to was
- 4:16Speaker 4: just the hope that one day it could.
- 4:19Speaker 1: But that's what faith is really about. Faith is the
- 4:22Speaker 1: belief in things that you cannot see. But faith gives
- 4:26Speaker 1: you the confidence to keep hoping. Man, Sometimes it just
- 4:30Speaker 1: keep hope alive. Sometimes you heard Jesse Jackson say it,
- 4:34Speaker 1: just keep hope alive. Sometimes, man, it's just the hope.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I was hanging on a hope, and I'm talking about
- 4:41Speaker 1: when it.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Got real ugly and funky out there for me, when
- 4:45Speaker 4: it looked like I wasn't gonna ever make it, and
- 4:48Speaker 4: all of the facts was in and everything pointed in
- 4:51Speaker 4: the direction you not gonna make it. You done really
- 4:54Speaker 4: messed up this time. Then I sat there and I
- 4:57Speaker 4: just hung on to the hope. But man, that's what
- 5:01Speaker 4: I'm saying. If you got a dream on aspiration of
- 5:05Speaker 4: vision or something, when you fall off track and you.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Want to go get back in line, God holds your place.
- 5:12Speaker 5: See.
- 5:13Speaker 1: He held on to that for me.
- 5:15Speaker 4: He knew I was off tracking, out of line, but
- 5:17Speaker 4: he said, okay, here's where we stopped. You want to
- 5:20Speaker 4: be on TV. Now, when you get it together and
- 5:22Speaker 4: you quit tripping and you come and your turn to me,
- 5:24Speaker 4: I'm gonna hold your place, put you back in line.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Then we're gonna finish the journey that took me a
- 5:28Speaker 4: lot longer. To get here than I wanted to. But
- 5:31Speaker 4: then it was necessary because I needed all of them
- 5:34Speaker 4: mishaps to happen to me along the way. So when
- 5:36Speaker 4: I got on the radio one day, which I did
- 5:38Speaker 4: not see coming, Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all.
- 5:41Speaker 4: That's why I say it every day. See, because of
- 5:44Speaker 4: this radio show that I didn't see coming. Now I
- 5:46Speaker 4: have stories to tell. I got experiences to share, and
- 5:52Speaker 4: I can tell you about me better I can tell
- 5:54Speaker 4: you about anybody. And I done been through enough whereas relatable,
- 5:59Speaker 4: where enough people can go mad that happened to me.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Appreciate you saying that that's what it was for. See,
- 6:04Speaker 4: I get it now. See at the time, no, I
- 6:07Speaker 4: didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 6:10Speaker 4: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 6:12Speaker 4: lot of stuff he was pulling off on me. But
- 6:15Speaker 4: in essence I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 6:18Speaker 4: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 6:21Speaker 4: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 6:26Speaker 4: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Stepped out there and did wrong.
- 6:32Speaker 4: He forgave me, he said, because man if you ever
- 6:36Speaker 4: come to me, I have a plan for you that
- 6:39Speaker 4: is going to be far and above. It will supersede
- 6:43Speaker 4: everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what I did. I
- 6:47Speaker 4: just got sick of me, good and sick of me,
- 6:50Speaker 4: and I turned it over to God. And then God
- 6:53Speaker 4: started working and here I am today. Now, he threw
- 6:57Speaker 4: with me. Yet, Nope, I have jet Nope. But guess
- 7:02Speaker 4: what the journey is cool?
- 7:05Speaker 3: You know.
- 7:05Speaker 4: It's like I was talking to this young brother the
- 7:07Speaker 4: other day about comedy and he's a really good stand up.
- 7:11Speaker 4: You know, this young dude is really good. He said, Man,
- 7:14Speaker 4: what is this I feel every night before I go
- 7:17Speaker 4: on stage. I don't know what it is. I just
- 7:20Speaker 4: want it off me, I said, sir, listen to me,
- 7:23Speaker 4: you young dude. This thing that climbs on my back
- 7:27Speaker 4: every night before I go on stage. I don't know
- 7:29Speaker 4: what it is. It's got something to do with pressure,
- 7:33Speaker 4: It's got something to do with anticipation. It's got a
- 7:36Speaker 4: whole lot to do with the fear of falling.
- 7:38Speaker 1: He said.
- 7:39Speaker 4: What you mean by that, I say, every night I
- 7:41Speaker 4: walk out on stage, it's like I'm about to go
- 7:44Speaker 4: and step off of cliff. I say, it's a sickening feeling.
- 7:48Speaker 4: He said, Man, but you do so well. I said,
- 7:50Speaker 4: that's because the parachute opens. I say, but I want
- 7:53Speaker 4: you to understand something. When I first walk out there,
- 7:56Speaker 4: it's just stepping off the cliff. Now these yokes provide
- 8:00Speaker 4: a parachute which slows my descent when I jump off
- 8:05Speaker 4: the cliff, and I turned it into a glide. And
- 8:08Speaker 4: then I take the audience this way and I swung
- 8:11Speaker 4: them back over to that way. We might swing out
- 8:13Speaker 4: to the Colorado Rockies. We may go down to Miami
- 8:17Speaker 4: with this joke. We may take it on out to
- 8:19Speaker 4: LA and I just swing back and forth till I
- 8:21Speaker 4: land softly. The crowd cheers. The night is over with,
- 8:25Speaker 4: I said, but it's been too many nights though. When
- 8:27Speaker 4: I walked off that cliff and I pulled the cord
- 8:30Speaker 4: and the parachute didn't open, I said, Now I'm just
- 8:33Speaker 4: free falling out there for thirty minutes. Ain't no jokes working.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Ain't the parachute didn't open. I said, So see, that's
- 8:40Speaker 4: what it's like for me. And then you know what
- 8:43Speaker 4: I found out. If you done walked off the cliff
- 8:45Speaker 4: in life and you ain't got no guard in your life.
- 8:49Speaker 4: It's like not having a parachute. You step off the
- 8:52Speaker 4: cliff and you just free falling. Now see we all
- 8:57Speaker 4: now that fog gets you closer to the grave, right,
- 9:00Speaker 4: We all heading to the grave from the moment we're born.
- 9:02Speaker 4: But the cool thing about a relationship with God is
- 9:05Speaker 4: when you step off the cliff and you got God
- 9:08Speaker 4: here a parachute.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You still going.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Down, but it's a nice ride, and God just helps
- 9:14Speaker 4: your descent appear more like a rise and the more
- 9:18Speaker 4: like a euphoric fall. Instead of not having no God
- 9:22Speaker 4: in your life and you just walking off that cliff
- 9:25Speaker 4: every day, free falling. Ain't got no cord, you steady pulling,
- 9:29Speaker 4: you hollering the whole way because you to mess around
- 9:32Speaker 4: with yourself, and ain't let God come into your life
- 9:35Speaker 4: and provide a parachute for you. I would rather have
- 9:38Speaker 4: a parachute since I got to jump every day than
- 9:41Speaker 4: to not have one. God has been like a parachute
- 9:45Speaker 4: for me. Ask me where that came from. I can't
- 9:50Speaker 4: tell you. But like I always say, most good things
- 9:52Speaker 4: that happen in my life that I can't explain is
- 9:55Speaker 4: usually him.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, I guess you can't be surprised about
- 10:07Speaker 4: what I'm about to say, but you do know that
- 10:11Speaker 4: God did it again.
- 10:12Speaker 5: You do know that.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Don't you stop being surprised that I bring this up
- 10:16Speaker 4: so often, because that's really how amazing it is, because
- 10:20Speaker 4: only God can create a new day, and so realizing
- 10:25Speaker 4: that you ought to thank Him for it and the
- 10:28Speaker 4: fact that He allowed you to be here in it present. Man,
- 10:31Speaker 4: what a great honor. Man, I'm so grateful today. Thank
- 10:34Speaker 4: you God for everything you've done for me, for the
- 10:37Speaker 4: measure of health that I have, for my strength being
- 10:40Speaker 4: in my right mind. Thank you, Heavenly Father for using
- 10:45Speaker 4: and putting my names in rooms before I get there.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Thank You for your grace and mercy everything. Man, this
- 10:51Speaker 1: is a big day. Let's go, y'all.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry College for Real, Mississippi,
- 10:55Speaker 4: Monica and the legend that is Nephew.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Tell me, Junior steal out still off?
- 11:02Speaker 6: What the powerball tonight about the one Monday night I played.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Fifteen million tunesday nights. Yeah, time for me to play. Yes,
- 11:14Speaker 1: that's so high enough.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I ain't want that little you know, eat hundred million?
- 11:22Speaker 4: You know how we're gonna be real. Boy, Let me
- 11:26Speaker 4: tell you something I wouldn't any I'm taking the path
- 11:32Speaker 4: for the end of day off half of that whatever
- 11:35Speaker 4: they I'm taking the payout.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yeah you should.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 1: How much would you pay into the lottery though? How
- 11:42Speaker 1: many lottery tickets would you buy? How much.
- 11:46Speaker 4: You die when you go down there? Hu, eight hundred million.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You dropped two hundred and ten thousand dollars worth of tickets? Easy? Yeah,
- 11:58Speaker 1: ten thousand out of mode than that in Vegas? That
- 12:02Speaker 1: ain't nothing. And they raked that in a hole.
- 12:06Speaker 5: They spun the ball.
- 12:07Speaker 1: They can't go in.
- 12:07Speaker 4: They rate that whole tea and in that hole. Yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 4: at least let me watch some numbers pop up.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Wow, let me take my little five dollars and go
- 12:18Speaker 1: sit down.
- 12:21Speaker 8: Now.
- 12:22Speaker 4: The most I have bought at one time was two hundred.
- 12:24Speaker 4: I bought two hundred tickets and the man didn't want
- 12:26Speaker 4: to sell them to me. Had a little confutation coming
- 12:29Speaker 4: through Florida. Why would you want to take that opportunity
- 12:33Speaker 4: from other people and brodd you out of tickets?
- 12:36Speaker 9: What?
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, just print some mo You got a roll of
- 12:40Speaker 1: I ain't taking no opportunity for nobody.
- 12:43Speaker 4: So it's a little young black girl worked there and
- 12:46Speaker 4: came out said, you don't know who this is there?
- 12:48Speaker 1: Now, this just ain't right.
- 12:49Speaker 4: A man coming here and spend up two hundred dollars
- 12:53Speaker 4: worth of tickets, she said, But mister, whatever he can,
- 12:56Speaker 4: he can buy him tickets as he won't. I don't
- 12:58Speaker 4: just I don't think it's right. Well, it's why I
- 13:01Speaker 4: was on that side of the counter and I move
- 13:04Speaker 4: its two hundred dollars. So now can you please hand
- 13:07Speaker 4: me them two hundred tickets? Because this low budget thinking
- 13:11Speaker 4: you doing is the reason why we have an argument
- 13:14Speaker 4: right now? Why is two hundred too much?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 13:20Speaker 4: I ain't said nothing to you about that three dollars?
- 13:22Speaker 4: Hot dog, y'all got up on that wall over.
- 13:24Speaker 1: That hey thing? Got that, that's right, get let's get
- 13:34Speaker 1: all right. Yeah, hopefully one of us will win. Coming

- 13:43Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 13:51Speaker 10: If you're a homeowner, you know it took years of saving, planning,
- 13:55Speaker 10: and hard work to get in the doors didn't make

- 13:59Speaker 10: something usually valuable equity. It's the portion of your home

- 14:25Speaker 4: This right here is butt man, Shirley. This is butt man.
- 14:29Speaker 8: Yes, yes, I know it's kind of early. It's kind
- 14:32Speaker 8: of early, but this is but okay, we gotta find
- 14:35Speaker 8: out who's been putting the butt on the copy machine
- 14:38Speaker 8: and making copies of a blot in the office.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Okay, see yeah, what is?
- 14:46Speaker 1: Tell me?
- 14:47Speaker 5: What do you?
- 14:47Speaker 4: What do you want?
- 14:48Speaker 1: It's mean? Okay, it's mean, I got it fake? What
- 14:52Speaker 1: you what you want? A sermon?
- 14:53Speaker 8: I ain't got no sermon for you. I ain't got
- 14:55Speaker 8: none net I got stupid. So let's go cat though. Hey,
- 15:00Speaker 8: I'm trying to read von please.
- 15:04Speaker 2: VN.
- 15:04Speaker 4: This is Darius. Darius with human Resources.
- 15:06Speaker 1: How are you?
- 15:08Speaker 3: I'm doing fine?
- 15:09Speaker 5: Can I help you?
- 15:10Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:10Speaker 8: Listen, we have an incident that has taken place at
- 15:14Speaker 8: the job you actually.
- 15:17Speaker 1: What floor are you on? Vin? I'm all for twelve
- 15:21Speaker 1: floor twelve? All right? So do you use the copy
- 15:26Speaker 1: machine that often on that floor?
- 15:28Speaker 3: Not all the time, but I do use it every
- 15:30Speaker 3: once in a while.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Okay, every once in a while. So here's what's going on.
- 15:35Speaker 8: There's gonna be some actions being taken place here pretty soon,
- 15:38Speaker 8: some legal actions, and we're just clearing everybody. You know,
- 15:42Speaker 8: this is just a proper procedure that we're having to
- 15:45Speaker 8: go through. So let me just kind of enlighten you
- 15:48Speaker 8: on what's taking place. Someone on the twelfth floor has
- 15:52Speaker 8: copied their butt on a piece of paper in the
- 15:55Speaker 8: copy machine. So someone I actually sat up on the
- 15:58Speaker 8: xerox machine and copied or butt. Why someone would do that,
- 16:01Speaker 8: I have no earthly idea. But what's happening now is
- 16:05Speaker 8: everyone on your floor is gonna have to come in
- 16:09Speaker 8: and show their butt. So we're scheduling this now. I'm
- 16:13Speaker 8: thinking Friday at eleven a m.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Would that be so.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Y'all y'all talking, y'all talking about y'all want me to
- 16:22Speaker 3: come up there and show show my, show my, because somebody,
- 16:28Speaker 3: I'm a grown man. Okay, I'm a grown man.
- 16:31Speaker 5: I ain't do that.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Okay, you know what. I believe you.
- 16:34Speaker 8: I believe you wholeheartedly, Von, But just to clear your name,
- 16:38Speaker 8: we have to, I hate to say it, clear your
- 16:40Speaker 8: butt as well. So we want to make sure we're
- 16:43Speaker 8: gonna find out whose butt.
- 16:44Speaker 1: This is on a piece of paper, that did this.
- 16:46Speaker 1: We're gonna find out.
- 16:47Speaker 3: You're gonna find you're gonna find out who's You're gonna
- 16:49Speaker 3: find out whose cheeks those are, and you're gonna find
- 16:51Speaker 3: out real quickly in our mind. All right, I'm not
- 16:53Speaker 3: doing that, man, I'm not gonna come in.
- 16:55Speaker 5: You said Friday.
- 16:56Speaker 4: You're doing this on Friday, Friday at eleven, not coming
- 17:00Speaker 4: my day off.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I'm pull my pants down. But some strangers looking really
- 17:05Speaker 3: look at my look at my cheeks, talking about somebody copy,
- 17:09Speaker 3: I'm not doing that.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I don't.
- 17:11Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 17:12Speaker 8: I don't want this to take a turn, Von, because
- 17:14Speaker 8: right now this is if you're not if you're saying
- 17:17Speaker 8: you're not coming in, then other actions will be taking
- 17:20Speaker 8: place if you don't come in and follow the precedure
- 17:23Speaker 8: that everybody's saying.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Everybody else that I'm calling they have to come in.
- 17:28Speaker 3: How many how many people work on that floor?
- 17:30Speaker 1: There's at least eighty plus people on that floor.
- 17:33Speaker 3: You're talking about trying to have eighty plus people come
- 17:36Speaker 3: in drive a way work so some strangers and we
- 17:40Speaker 3: don't even know can look at our look at our cheeks,
- 17:43Speaker 3: and I'm not gonna do that. I don't know who
- 17:46Speaker 3: did it, but I know they ain't me.
- 17:48Speaker 8: Well, somebody somebody's xeroxs there butt on the twelfth floor,
- 17:53Speaker 8: and we're gonna get to okay, but we're gonna get
- 17:56Speaker 8: to the bottom of who did it and what you're
- 17:58Speaker 8: what you're not gonna do? Von Is tell me you're
- 18:00Speaker 8: not coming in. What you're not gonna do? Do you
- 18:03Speaker 8: like your job here with this company?
- 18:05Speaker 5: Oh?
- 18:05Speaker 3: Okay, what you're not gonna do exactly like you're gonna
- 18:08Speaker 3: fire me because I'm not gonna show y'all my sweet
- 18:11Speaker 3: goodies just because you just because you're from HR You
- 18:14Speaker 3: got me fooled. If you actually expect me to think
- 18:16Speaker 3: that everybody that work from this floor is over here like,
- 18:20Speaker 3: oh yeah, sure, I'm going some strangers look at mine,
- 18:23Speaker 3: look at my crack.
- 18:25Speaker 5: You must be playing, no, sir, not with me.
- 18:28Speaker 8: Okay, let me let me let me ask you this.
- 18:31Speaker 8: Do you have a coworker named Andre Andre? Yes, Andre
- 18:36Speaker 8: says he knows you. Now, I'm just gonna put it
- 18:39Speaker 8: out here. Andre is stating that it could have possibly
- 18:43Speaker 8: been you.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Really, Andre got the nerve to say it could have

- 18:54Speaker 3: playing games.
- 18:55Speaker 5: I'm a grown man.
- 18:57Speaker 3: He must be out of his mind thinking he gonna

- 19:01Speaker 4: All I know is he stated that you were a possibility.
- 19:04Speaker 1: That's what. That's what he stated.
- 19:05Speaker 3: He said I was a possibility.
- 19:08Speaker 5: That that's dumb.
- 19:10Speaker 3: He ain't have absolutely the reason to think. I don't
- 19:12Speaker 3: even use that copier, man, I use that thing like
- 19:14Speaker 3: once every two to three weeks, everybody on that floor.

- 19:37Speaker 3: to get a free strip show.
- 19:39Speaker 5: But you're not gonna do that to me.
- 19:40Speaker 3: This has to be unethical and illegal on so many levels.
- 19:45Speaker 3: You're trying to come in and say everybody on the
- 19:47Speaker 3: entire floor has to come show that. Geez man, you
- 19:50Speaker 3: want to be kidding me?
- 19:52Speaker 5: What's your name?

- 20:22Speaker 3: trying to tell me that Leslie said.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Do you want to know what Leslie said?
- 20:27Speaker 3: Yes? I would like to know what Leslie says, so
- 20:30Speaker 3: when I cuss her out, I get it.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Right, okay.
- 20:33Speaker 8: Leslie told me to tell you that this is nephew

- 22:12Speaker 1: guests is a comedy legend. He's an actor and a
- 22:16Speaker 1: good friend of the show. He's family. I'm talking about
- 22:19Speaker 1: the one and only mister Bill Bellamy. He and Tommy
- 22:23Speaker 1: will be performing this weekend at the Buttwell in Birmingham
- 22:28Speaker 1: and we'll find out what else he's been up to.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You don't want to miss our good friend Bill Bellamy
- 22:33Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. But right now it
- 22:35Speaker 1: is time to ask the CLO our Chief Love Officer,
- 22:39Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. This is from Parah and Queen's CLO. Parah writes,
- 22:44Speaker 1: my mom and my boyfriend talk on the phone all
- 22:47Speaker 1: the time. I've found out he's been complaining to her,
- 22:50Speaker 1: and she tells me how frustrated he gets with me.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I don't like my mom being in the mix. How
- 22:56Speaker 1: do I break up my mom and my boyfriend's relationship.
- 23:00Speaker 1: You might not be able to. I don't think so
- 23:05Speaker 1: might not be able to. They're too close.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Yeah, Plus I have one is your mama?
- 23:11Speaker 1: Fine? And you're asking that because you might want to
- 23:19Speaker 1: consider this. You know I've walked in the house and
- 23:22Speaker 1: seen that before that her boyfriend and her mom.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Oh, I you know when I was real young, I
- 23:29Speaker 4: saw I walked in the house and the girl mama
- 23:31Speaker 4: way find it than she was.
- 23:34Speaker 1: And so what happened? Then you started what?
- 23:38Speaker 4: No, I was young, I couldn't. There wasn't nothing I
- 23:40Speaker 4: could do. Her husband, I ain't had nothing for him.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Okay, when I'm sixteen, this man fought. No, I'm not
- 23:49Speaker 1: finish quipped like them. Real What was the first thing
- 23:53Speaker 1: you said when you saw her mom to yourself? God,
- 24:00Speaker 1: sixteen is it? He said? All right? Oh, so she
- 24:09Speaker 1: wants to break them up? Though, how does she do that?
- 24:13Speaker 1: It's not gonna happen. They're just gonna stay close and
- 24:17Speaker 1: keep talking about her on the phone. Yeah, I mean,
- 24:20Speaker 1: you know that's what you got. Two things. You gonna
- 24:23Speaker 1: have a conversation with both of them.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Don't talk about me to my mama, mama, and not
- 24:30Speaker 4: talk me to my boyfriend, and then see how I go.
- 24:34Speaker 4: If they keep talking, then they don't care about you.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Okay, I like that. That's good advice.
- 24:40Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:41Speaker 1: This is from Robin Burbank. Rob says, my girlfriend of
- 24:46Speaker 1: almost three years, is pressuring me to meet my parents.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I don't speak to my dad and my mom lives
- 24:53Speaker 1: in New Mexico. My girlfriend and I are in our
- 24:56Speaker 1: mid fifties, so it seems a bit childish. Do I
- 24:59Speaker 1: have to carve out time for a trip to New Mexico?
- 25:02Speaker 1: This is from Rob and Burbank. Rob, you know the.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Answer to that question. Dog, You and your dad ain't speaking.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Why you need to fix that because one day you
- 25:13Speaker 4: could lose this man. Secondly, every man wants his woman
- 25:19Speaker 4: to meet his mama. You know, Rob, if you ain't
- 25:21Speaker 4: been took her down there, you know what's happening a dog?
- 25:24Speaker 4: Come on, man, and how is she pressing you to
- 25:29Speaker 4: meet your family? She ain't pressing you to get married,
- 25:33Speaker 4: but she probably of the of the understanding that if
- 25:35Speaker 4: you don't introduce me to your mama, that means you're
- 25:37Speaker 4: not interested. Why don't you just come clean with how
- 25:40Speaker 4: you really feel. You're three years in, you're fifty.
- 25:42Speaker 1: What y'all doing? Yeah, he thinks it's childish for her
- 25:46Speaker 1: to want to meet his parent.
- 25:48Speaker 4: I think it's childish to be fifty in date for
- 25:50Speaker 4: three years.
- 25:51Speaker 1: But you know who am I? You're the clo.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Baby, you are the speak I mean, you know.
- 25:57Speaker 9: What I mean?
- 25:58Speaker 1: You fifty?
- 25:58Speaker 4: What y'all doing if y'all don't know what you want
- 26:01Speaker 4: by fifty, if you've been with somebody three years and
- 26:05Speaker 4: you don't know this to one by fifty? Yes, what
- 26:09Speaker 4: are we doing? I just ain't that hard, man. You
- 26:15Speaker 4: either want somebody or you don't.
- 26:17Speaker 1: That is not hard.
- 26:19Speaker 4: I ain't show no man, if you ain't show your
- 26:22Speaker 4: don't want them?

- 38:03Speaker 5: Yeah, all I know is.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember the first night I.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Was on death Jail. He was there.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Man, this dude right here was He was killing it
- 38:16Speaker 4: and we've been cool ever since. Or before we left,
- 38:19Speaker 4: we were talking about two things, BUCkies, and Tommy said
- 38:23Speaker 4: it's something that he had never conquered. It was a
- 38:26Speaker 4: club called the Peppermint Lounge in New Jersey and Bill
- 38:30Speaker 4: Bellie was Bill Bill's joint Bill booked, it, ran it everything,
- 38:35Speaker 4: but it was the proving ground. It was one of
- 38:37Speaker 4: the roughest after the Apollo Theater, that was the Peppermint Lounge.
- 38:45Speaker 4: I'm just telling you that, boy, I've seen some great
- 38:50Speaker 4: acts have called down there and and not done well.
- 38:53Speaker 4: And then there's been some dudes that went up in
- 38:55Speaker 4: their man and just got they got they got, they
- 39:00Speaker 4: close toe off. I told this one boy, I said,
- 39:04Speaker 4: hey man, you shouldn't go up last. He said, no,
- 39:08Speaker 4: I'm majoring comedy clubs. I said, look, man, this this
- 39:11Speaker 4: ain't no comedy club.
- 39:13Speaker 1: This is a session. This a session to say this
- 39:18Speaker 1: is really about to go.
- 39:20Speaker 5: It was like the boot camp or some Oh.
- 39:24Speaker 4: It was ugly and boy, the dope boys were sitting
- 39:26Speaker 4: on the front and this one dude was performing and
- 39:30Speaker 4: they didn't like him, and they was reaching in their
- 39:32Speaker 4: champagne buckets and they was throwing ice on him. And
- 39:35Speaker 4: ice was just dripping off this dude's head and he
- 39:37Speaker 4: kept talking. I'm sitting there going how you gonna take
- 39:40Speaker 4: all these ice cubes?
- 39:42Speaker 1: Marvin? What was the doskined Marvel Man Marvin Dixon.
- 39:49Speaker 5: Yes, it was from Miami. I will forget that.
- 39:53Speaker 1: He walked up on stage and said, hey man, I
- 39:57Speaker 1: seen what y'all did.
- 39:58Speaker 4: This other dude. Let me tell you one I ain't
- 40:00Speaker 4: right here. You could throw app he's an ice up here?
- 40:04Speaker 4: What ice chip cube? If I feel cool, spit, I'm
- 40:11Speaker 4: from myammy. It's gonna be yellow tape all round this
- 40:16Speaker 4: Peppermint Lounge. Them dope boys fell out laughing. Well, he
- 40:21Speaker 4: had one of the best sets, and then he took
- 40:23Speaker 4: all his clothes off, all his clothes off.
- 40:26Speaker 5: He had a red tongue on. He weighed eighty seven pounds.
- 40:30Speaker 4: That's all he had on was a jockey strap.
- 40:34Speaker 5: He was the first dude I've ever seen twerk in
- 40:37Speaker 5: the comedy club. He said, welcome to Miami. We blacked out.
- 40:42Speaker 4: And got a standing ovation.
- 40:44Speaker 5: Standing old basin bro. I mean he literally I don't
- 40:49Speaker 5: know if he put on trick Daddy. I know he
- 40:51Speaker 5: had a song that was a theme. Yeah, he had
- 40:54Speaker 5: them dope boys so confused. They brought him about eighteen
- 40:58Speaker 5: bottles of more weet.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Hey, y'all, hey, we'll be back. We're talking to Bill Bellamy.
- 41:05Speaker 4: We'll be back with more Bill Bellamie right after this.
- 41:08Speaker 4: We don't find out what had.
- 41:09Speaker 1: In a minute.
- 41:12Speaker 4: All right, y'all, we're back with the legendary Bill Bellamy Man.
- 41:16Speaker 1: We just family.
- 41:17Speaker 4: So we've been talking about to Bob Well, the legendary
- 41:19Speaker 4: Peppermint Lounge. But we got a show coming up him
- 41:22Speaker 4: and Tommy told me, you want to talk about the
- 41:24Speaker 4: showing or something.
- 41:27Speaker 8: The sow Go start out with straight ignorance with nephew Tommy,
- 41:31Speaker 8: let's get this jumping off the jump, and then Bill
- 41:33Speaker 8: already knows I'm finna come with as.
- 41:35Speaker 4: Much energy and ignorance as.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Numb to man. I don't know how many outfits Tommy
- 41:40Speaker 5: be having, but they I don't know. He don't even
- 41:44Speaker 5: have a rest the room. I don't know when he
- 41:47Speaker 5: changed that in the car between two in the alleyway,
- 41:52Speaker 5: but he changed his clothes a lot, Steve, I don't
- 41:55Speaker 5: know how much money you're paying him, but he got it.
- 41:57Speaker 1: He got that much.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Oh, he got plenty much, dang it. But the Glasney Bill,
- 42:03Speaker 4: he changed all Bill.
- 42:05Speaker 5: How many times you think he changed I'm gonna say
- 42:08Speaker 5: at least sixty three minim in the show. It's a
- 42:19Speaker 5: sixty minute show. He changed sixty three times. It's unnecessary.
- 42:26Speaker 5: I got I got before we I know we're gonna
- 42:29Speaker 5: be at the bout Well on Friday, But I gotta
- 42:31Speaker 5: ask you a question, because you know, comedians, we think

- 43:25Speaker 4: Twins.
- 43:27Speaker 5: I've seen it maxic twenty twin and thirty years. I
- 43:30Speaker 5: don't think so. I think they start making them in
- 43:33Speaker 5: sixty two. What about Hey, when the last time you've
- 43:39Speaker 5: seen somebody cross eyed? I think they've been fixing the
- 43:42Speaker 5: eyes for the last twenty Remember we had that one
- 43:47Speaker 5: cousin that I be sitting right on the nose. It

- 43:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a cousin. We used to call him waller.

- 44:05Speaker 4: at the wall.
- 44:10Speaker 1: I tell you something I ain't never seen to. I
- 44:13Speaker 1: ain't never seen an Amish.

- 44:33Speaker 1: No, they're not so shocked.
- 44:36Speaker 4: They got them little high pants home with them suspenders.
- 44:38Speaker 1: They don't say.

- 45:00Speaker 8: that holes on it?
- 45:01Speaker 1: What happened to that thing? When is that?
- 45:03Speaker 5: I don't know what that was, but my grandmama said,
- 45:05Speaker 5: don't touch it.
- 45:07Speaker 4: Well, me and my nepht we touched it one time.
- 45:10Speaker 4: We had a We had a we had a fight
- 45:13Speaker 4: with it. One time we filled it with water. We
- 45:15Speaker 4: didn't even tell her we did it. Then she came
- 45:17Speaker 4: in the house from shopping and said, why does house
- 45:20Speaker 4: smell like vinegar? And then next thing you know, she
- 45:22Speaker 4: went in there and did the math on it. We
- 45:25Speaker 4: got to beat with that same holes, that same hole.
- 45:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it was like it was like a pinkie show,

- 46:51Speaker 8: we got fees. We got church feed. What you ain't
- 46:53Speaker 8: gonna do is be coming up in church late. You know,
- 46:55Speaker 8: you'll pay a late fee if I got If I

- 47:11Speaker 9: from the church.
- 47:11Speaker 11: Hey, brother Glenn, how you doing.
- 47:13Speaker 9: I'm good. I'm good, I'm real good. Did you enjoy
- 47:16Speaker 9: service boring?
- 47:16Speaker 4: Oh?
- 47:17Speaker 11: I enjoyed it past the PASTA brought it down.
- 47:23Speaker 9: Yes, Oh my god. That was a word for me,
- 47:27Speaker 9: right right, right right?
- 47:28Speaker 11: So what do I owe the pleasure of this call?
- 47:31Speaker 9: I wanted to give you some information that the that
- 47:34Speaker 9: the church has come up with and we wanted to
- 47:37Speaker 9: let you know what was going on before next Sunday.
- 47:39Speaker 9: You got. I didn't interrupt you, Dinna, No, no.
- 47:41Speaker 11: I actually I may sound a little a little off
- 47:44Speaker 11: a little bit. I'm trying to get getting ready for
- 47:46Speaker 11: my little babes, my little darlings, and I'm trying to
- 47:48Speaker 11: your voice sounds so familiar to me. It just sounds
- 47:52Speaker 11: so familiar. Trying to place place that voice.
- 47:54Speaker 9: Okay, Well, you've seen me at the church quite a
- 47:56Speaker 9: few times. I think I have.
- 47:57Speaker 11: I'm just trying to place it. I can't place it
- 47:59Speaker 11: right now.
- 48:01Speaker 9: Well, nevertheless, I just wanted here's what's going on now.
- 48:04Speaker 9: You're aware that for the last the last six Sundays
- 48:07Speaker 9: you've been actually coming into service late. Have you realized that, Yes,
- 48:11Speaker 9: I know.
- 48:13Speaker 11: I'm sorry about that, but you know, yes I have,
- 48:16Speaker 11: I have my reasons.
- 48:17Speaker 9: So okay, okay, Well here's what's going on. The officials
- 48:20Speaker 9: at the church have gotten together and this is what
- 48:23Speaker 9: they've decided on, is that anybody who is late starting
- 48:27Speaker 9: next Sunday, there would be a fifteen dollar charge for
- 48:30Speaker 9: that for coming in and disrupting services. Fastest tired of
- 48:35Speaker 9: service being disrupted by people walking in late that that
- 48:39Speaker 9: could not come at a worse time.
- 48:41Speaker 11: I don't have fifteen dollars to give.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I don't have it.
- 48:47Speaker 11: Oh look, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that we're late. I
- 48:52Speaker 11: am we are doing our best. I have three kids.
- 48:56Speaker 11: I have three young kids, two seven and and they
- 49:00Speaker 11: are a handful, and we do the best that we
- 49:04Speaker 11: can to get the church on time. And to tell you,
- 49:08Speaker 11: when we get there, it's doing praise and worship. I mean,
- 49:11Speaker 11: Pats ain't even preaching.
- 49:12Speaker 9: Yet, so I know it's not pass is not up yet,
- 49:15Speaker 9: but he's he's stating that people coming in. It just
- 49:18Speaker 9: seems very disruptive to the service that's going on. So nevertheless,
- 49:22Speaker 9: like I said, this is a warning call, you know,
- 49:24Speaker 9: to let you know that if you are late on
- 49:26Speaker 9: next Sunday, then they will be charging you fifteen dollars
- 49:30Speaker 9: are late charge. And actually you won't be able to
- 49:33Speaker 9: even come in what until you until you pay fifty dollars.
- 49:37Speaker 11: I can't even get in church with we Look, Okay, look,
- 49:41Speaker 11: I don't I don't owe nothing. I don't owe you
- 49:43Speaker 11: no explanations, but I need to tell you something. We
- 49:46Speaker 11: are me and my kids for the last few Sundays
- 49:50Speaker 11: that we've been late. It's because my car broke down.
- 49:53Speaker 11: We are on the bus man public transportation.
- 49:56Speaker 9: Okay, I mean, and I understand. I understand. I said
- 49:59Speaker 9: civilitize whatever thing that you're going through.
- 50:01Speaker 11: But why are you called if you understand? Why are
- 50:02Speaker 11: you calling me about fifteen dollars? If you understand what
- 50:04Speaker 11: I'm going through?
- 50:05Speaker 9: Well I didn't at first of all, I didn't know
- 50:07Speaker 9: what you were going Why are you raising your voice
- 50:08Speaker 9: at me? Why are you raising? Did you just raise
- 50:11Speaker 9: your voice at me?
- 50:12Speaker 5: You know what?
- 50:13Speaker 11: You know what I think? You're raising your voice at me?
- 50:16Speaker 11: How dare you call me about this? About a feat?
- 50:19Speaker 11: And I'm there at church, I got my key. Instare
- 50:22Speaker 11: trying to raise them up? Is the way they should go,
- 50:24Speaker 11: just like the Bible say. And you know why I
- 50:27Speaker 11: gotta do this and why I'm late? Why we got
- 50:30Speaker 11: to catch the bus? Do you understand why that is?
- 50:32Speaker 9: Brother Gleed, No, I do not.
- 50:35Speaker 11: That is because they to their.
- 50:36Speaker 9: Daddy is ain't And yes it's Tracy. You got to
- 50:39Speaker 9: calm down a little bit now.
- 50:41Speaker 11: Oh Jesus, healthy, Jesus help me Jesus.
- 50:43Speaker 9: Okay, listen, here's the deal, all I can do is
- 50:46Speaker 9: tell you this. I hope you can make it. Maybe
- 50:48Speaker 9: you can catch an earlier bus, you know what I mean,
- 50:51Speaker 9: and get that a little earlier. But but I'm just
- 50:53Speaker 9: stating the facts that as of next Sunday, if you
- 50:56Speaker 9: come in late, it's fifteen dollars late fee, and that's
- 50:59Speaker 9: what you'll pay to get in the service.
- 51:01Speaker 11: You know what, Well, maybe next Sunday I just won't
- 51:03Speaker 11: be there. How about that? You know I'm already working
- 51:08Speaker 11: six days a week. The only day I have office Sunday,
- 51:11Speaker 11: I've been baking, breaking my back. Do you know I
- 51:13Speaker 11: work two jobs. I work two jobs, and they always
- 51:15Speaker 11: trying to take money out of my check, always trying
- 51:18Speaker 11: to pull me here and there, and I'm always tired.
- 51:20Speaker 11: I get two hours of sleep, and then now the
- 51:22Speaker 11: church wants to dump another fifteen dollars charging me for
- 51:25Speaker 11: being at church when that's what I'm supposed to do.
- 51:28Speaker 9: But you're coming in late, though, Tracy.
- 51:31Speaker 11: You know what, you know what late ain't bad. Okay,
- 51:35Speaker 11: I might be delayed, but I ain't denied, and I'm
- 51:37Speaker 11: getting there the best way that I know how. For Oh,
- 51:40Speaker 11: the bus, I have to put my kids on.
- 51:42Speaker 9: The school bus and long did I.
- 51:43Speaker 11: Have to put them on the school bus. Then I
- 51:44Speaker 11: have to get on the bus to myself to work
- 51:46Speaker 11: because I don't have a car. Because they Daddy ain't
- 51:49Speaker 11: doing nothing nothing for them. Do you understand what I'm
- 51:52Speaker 11: saying to you? I need to under that Number one,
- 51:57Speaker 11: it's what hit daddy for two, he in jail. I've
- 52:00Speaker 11: been there about five years. He ain't And daddy number
- 52:03Speaker 11: three she decided to go ahead and walk out. And
- 52:07Speaker 11: I ain't heard from that that t listen in about
- 52:10Speaker 11: seven months now. He knows we struggling. She had to
- 52:12Speaker 11: nerve to take my wallet too. You don't You don't
- 52:15Speaker 11: even understand what I'm going through. You don't even understand
- 52:17Speaker 11: that I'm trying to make a better life for me
- 52:18Speaker 11: and my children.
- 52:20Speaker 9: There is one one thing, Sister Tracy, that the Church
- 52:22Speaker 9: wants you to know before next Sunday that you definitely
- 52:24Speaker 9: need to know.
- 52:25Speaker 11: What one more thing does the church want me to know?
- 52:27Speaker 11: It's fifteen dollars.
- 52:28Speaker 9: The Church just wants you to know that this is
- 52:31Speaker 9: Nephew towm me from the Steve Harby Morning Show. Your
- 52:33Speaker 9: sister Patrece got me the prank phone call you.
- 52:39Speaker 11: I am gonna walk. I'm no, are you you know
- 52:45Speaker 11: I ain't got time for that. You know I ain't

- 53:29Speaker 9: and I mean the baddest radio show in the land.
- 53:32Speaker 11: That's Steve Harven Morning Show.
- 53:34Speaker 5: Babies, there we go, folks.
- 53:39Speaker 8: Is that nephew? Is that ignorant? It's that stupid? It's
- 53:43Speaker 8: that nephew all right? And you just heard earlier who

- 56:27Speaker 1: be yours.
- 56:28Speaker 8: Buckle up and hold on type you got it for you,
- 56:29Speaker 8: And here it is strawberry letter.
- 56:32Speaker 1: All right, Telly, thank you. Subject what's my role in
- 56:36Speaker 1: my marriage? What's my role in my marriage? Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I'm married to a man that doesn't do his own laundry,
- 56:44Speaker 1: rake his own plate into the sink, or do any
- 56:47Speaker 1: chores in our home. He said. He makes the money
- 56:49Speaker 1: and provides a decent living for our children, and I'm
- 56:52Speaker 1: supposed to have sex with him and do my duty
- 56:54Speaker 1: as the wife and mother. He is only thirty two,
- 56:58Speaker 1: so he's getting this from his daddy, who's been divorced twice.
- 57:01Speaker 1: He told me that if he can't be a king
- 57:04Speaker 1: in his household, he will have to go where he's celebrated.
- 57:07Speaker 1: I have told him several times to go ahead and
- 57:10Speaker 1: see if the grass is greener on the other side,
- 57:13Speaker 1: but he won't do it. I refuse to be treated
- 57:16Speaker 1: like a handmaid at home. The only time he treats
- 57:19Speaker 1: me like an equal is when it counts. He brags
- 57:22Speaker 1: to his friends that I'm so smart, and I'm a
- 57:24Speaker 1: great wife, and I'm raising our daughters to be polite
- 57:28Speaker 1: and kind. Then as soon as we're alone, he's telling
- 57:32Speaker 1: me to go get ready for bed and wait for
- 57:34Speaker 1: him before I fall asleep. Because he is in the
- 57:36Speaker 1: mood for intimacy. He never does the appetizer part first anymore.
- 57:40Speaker 1: He skips right to the entree and then takes the shower.
- 57:44Speaker 1: If I try to take a shower with him like
- 57:46Speaker 1: we used to, he will say that he won't be
- 57:49Speaker 1: in there long. I would love to know where I
- 57:51Speaker 1: stand with my husband and if this is what our
- 57:55Speaker 1: marriage will be like forever. I want to talk to
- 57:57Speaker 1: his dad to see why he's advising him to treat
- 58:00Speaker 1: me like I'm his servant. And I want to ask
- 58:02Speaker 1: his mother if this is how her marriage was. My
- 58:06Speaker 1: husband said, I have no right to speak to his
- 58:09Speaker 1: parents if he is not present. Am I part of
- 58:12Speaker 1: this marriage or am I a smart maid and nanny
- 58:15Speaker 1: that he enjoys having sex with? What is my role
- 58:19Speaker 1: with him? Well, right now, your role is that of
- 58:24Speaker 1: a wife who is being controlled and defined by her husband.
- 58:29Speaker 1: I don't like the fact that you are letting him
- 58:31Speaker 1: tell you who you are in this marriage. Marriage is
- 58:34Speaker 1: supposed to be a loving, committed partnership between two people.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Marriage is not a dictatorship like what your husband has
- 58:42Speaker 1: going on in your marriage. You can control your own narrative,
- 58:46Speaker 1: meaning you decide your own role with him. He doesn't
- 58:49Speaker 1: decide that.
- 58:50Speaker 5: You say.
- 58:51Speaker 1: He treats you well outside of the house, but inside
- 58:55Speaker 1: he's cold and mean. You've told him many times to
- 58:58Speaker 1: go ahead and see if the grad greener on the
- 59:00Speaker 1: other side. Go ahead, but he won't do it. And
- 59:03Speaker 1: why do you think that is? Because he knows better.
- 59:06Speaker 1: He knows that it isn't. So don't just allow him
- 59:10Speaker 1: to continue to treat you this way. Talk to you crazy?
- 59:13Speaker 1: How dare he? You have to teach him how to
- 59:15Speaker 1: treat you. And you don't need to talk to his
- 59:18Speaker 1: parents about what's going on in your house either. Talk
- 59:21Speaker 1: to him that's your husband. Tell him how you feel
- 59:24Speaker 1: or better yet, show him. Don't wait for him to
- 59:28Speaker 1: come to bed only to just satisfy himself. You go
- 59:31Speaker 1: to bed and go to sleep if that's what you
- 59:33Speaker 1: want to do, because your body and mind only respond
- 59:37Speaker 1: to a caring, loving husband. Let him know that that's
- 59:40Speaker 1: what you got to tell him. No one said he
- 59:43Speaker 1: couldn't be the king of the castle. He's just got
- 59:45Speaker 1: to remember that you are the queen of the castle
- 59:49Speaker 1: and he needs to treat you as such. Period.
- 59:52Speaker 4: Steve Well, the problem with this guy realizing that his
- 59:56Speaker 4: wife says the queen of the castle is he doesn't
- 59:58Speaker 4: have a good definition of what queen is. He doesn't
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: understand that the queen is the most powerful position on
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: the chessboard, always has been, always will be. Now the
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: game is over once you capture the king, but if
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: you lose your queen, and the game is very difficult
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: to win, especially if somebody else got one. Now you're
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: I'm married to a man. What's my role in my marriage, lady,
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: that's for you to define. This is your definition of
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: what your role in the marriage is. What role are
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: you willing to play?
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: You're married to this man that don't do his own line,
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: you rake his own plate, int to the sink, or
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: do any chores.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: In our home?
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: He said, he makes the money, provides a decent living
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: for our children, and I'm supposed to have sex with
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: him and do my duty as a wife and mother.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: He's only thirty two, so he's getting this from his daddy,
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: who's been divorced twice. He told me that if he
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: can't be a king in his household, he'll have to
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: go where he's celebrated. Look, man, early threats and what
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: you're gonna do and all this hell man bye. I
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: told him several times to go ahead and see if
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: the grass is green on the other side.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: But he won't do it. No, let me explain something
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to you. It ain't that he won't do it. He
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: done tried it properly. But what the deal is is
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: he not.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Gonna find nobody that's gonna take in with this nineteen
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: fifty two marriage agreement nineteen fifty two.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: This ain't my three sons or leave it to beaver.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: This is the same. What this is the Saint Black
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and White TV.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: No more think on you. You don't get You don't
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: get to talk to women like this man. You you
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: don't get to tell a woman that go in there
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: and get ready for bread till I come in there.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: What where are you if you're getting this from your
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: stupid daddy that's been divorced twice. Don't you know that's
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: where you're headed. I refuse to be treated like a
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: handmaid at home. Then you say, the only time he
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: treats you is equal is when it counts.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: That's so.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: That's a double canandra what you call it? That's a
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: oxy moron. I don't know what they call it. This
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: don't make no sense.
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: The only time he treats me like an equal is
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: when it counts. What getting treated right counts all the time.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: But you think it's kind when he brad to his
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: friends that I'm smart and a great wife and kind
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: of politen. Then when he's alone, he's telling me to
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: go get ready for bed and wait for him before
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: I fall asleep because he in the move for intimacy. Man, girl,
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: I'm tired.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, hang on. We'll have part two of
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after the
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: hour Today's Strawberry letter subject what is my role in
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: my marriage? We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Get into the Hyundai Getaway sales event and get away
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: with the deal.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: So right, it almost feels wrong. Right now, get.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Huge savings on our popular models, including our venture ready
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: SUV's like the Hondai Santa Fe, or go all electric
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: with America's most awarded EV lineup like the Ionic five
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: or Ionic six.
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: Get down to your local Hondai dealer and get away
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: with a great deal only during the Hondai Getaway Sale event.
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: Visit Hyundai USA dot com for details.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: The subject is what is my role in my marriage
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: a wife?
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: One?
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: That's the question and that we can't answer that one.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: You're supposed to determine that you've married this guy that
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: don't do no household chores at all. Told you that
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: that's the way it works because he make all the money,
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: He take care of his wife and kids, and all
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: you need to do is your wifey dudies, the wifely duties.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: And you're supposed to have sex with him when he
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: wants to. And he'll tell you, you know, go in
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: there and get ready for bed and before I fall asleep,
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: and I'm coming there because I want to be intimate.
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: What do you.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: Then here's a line that stood out for me in
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: the whole letter. The only time he treats me like
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: an equal is when it counts, lady, it counts all
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: the time. But you think when he gets in front
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: of his friends and he brags on you, talk about
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: how smart you are and how good of a wife,
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: and how you're waising your daughters and all that. And
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: then after that, as soon as we're alone, he telling
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: me to go get ready for bed and wait for
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: him before I fall asleep, because he in the mood
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: for intimacy.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Who married to this? Where do you find? Huh?
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: How you?
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: What did you say? Get in there?
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: Get in there and get ready for bed till I
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: come in there?
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: What?
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: He never does the advertiser part first anymore. He skips
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: right to the entree and then takes a shot. If
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: I try to take a shot with him like we
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: used to, he'll say he won't be in that long.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: And I would love to know where I staying with
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: my husband. You don't stand no where with him. He
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: done told you you don't stand You get in there
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: and lay in that bed, wait till I come in. Now,
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: I don't do no charge. You do all this clean
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: and mopping, wiping, take caady, kids, I'm the king of
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: this castle. I want to know where I stand with
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: my husband. If this is what our marriage would be
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: like forever. Yeah, unless you change it, you're getting what
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: you're gonna get. And if you keep doing what you
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: been doing, you gonna keep getting what you've been getting.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: The change is up to you. I want to talk
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: to his dad to see why he's advising me to
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: treat me like this. I'm his servant, and I want
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: to ask his mom if this is how and her
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: marriage was.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: What are you talking to them for? What you keep
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: looking for? Insight?
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: See your problem, young lady, is you keep looking for
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: your justification in other people. You won't talk to his daddy,
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: you won't talk to his mama. Then you say he
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: only treats me right when he counts. You keep waiting
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: on validation for somebody else. My husband said, I have
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: no right to speak to his parents if he is
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: not present. Wow, what kind of relationship y'all got? Am
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: I a part of this marriage? Or am I a
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: smart maid and a nanny that he enjoys having sex with.
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: You're a part of his marriage. Once you insert yourself
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: into the marriage, you do know that it takes two
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: people to be married. I don't know what y'all's viles was,
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: but I most women don't listen to him no way. Now,
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: I'm not talking about in terms of lawty is nothing
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: like that, but that that they even took them words
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: out honor and obeyed. They don't even say that no more,
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: I don't think because if you can get one to obey,
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: that have to be a miracle. Please please tell me
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: how that works. Donna and obeyed, I be I at
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: never and these two that's on this show married down
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: obeyed nothing. I can just tell you that it's just
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: not in their card. So I don't even really anyway.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: They ain't got nothing to do with it. What is
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: my role with him? Well, you're the lady that does
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: all the housework. You're the lady that goes in there
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: and lay down till he get ready to have sex
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: and shut up all this talking.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: You don't come in here, don't show with me.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: I don't want to. I don't want that. Don't be
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: a hero of nohing to stop. That's your role, that's
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: what you've described to us. Now, Am I a smart
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: maid and a nanny that he enjoys having sex with
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: I think you just described your role because so far
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: in the letter that's what you are. You're a smart maid,
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: a nanny, and he enjoys having sex with you. What
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: are you getting out of this? What's in it for you?
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: I mean, you didn't say he was a great dad.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: He told you he's a great provider.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I know I am.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: I want that credit all the time. But that ain't
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: all you get to be though, when you're a husband
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: and a father, you got to be something else. And
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: so yeah, lady, what's your role in this marriage? Only
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: you can determine that. But I tell you what you
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: all are young. If you don't change this, this is
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: this is what's gonna happen in your marriage from now on.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: And you're gonna be miserable.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: Because I don't really see what you're getting out of it.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: And here's left to his other point, I almost forgot this.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: Y y'all ain't had none of these discussions.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Before y'all got married. Helen, you didn't. You didn't know
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: that this is what he expected you to do. You
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: didn't know he never told you when I get married,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I make this money. I ain't doing no cleaning.
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: I told her to Marrow.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: I said, hey, when we get married, don't ask me
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: to clean.
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: I told her that.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: She still asked me to clean. You've lift up through.
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: Now I gotta go in there and wipe the count
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: off every night. It's my plate.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I don't know, Damn the dish washer for what are
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: these people in here?
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: Well?
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: What has we got these people walking around here for?
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Oh one?
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: I don't understand right, all right, please stop telling me
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: what I need to do, but clearly these people are

- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Is he a cornerback or safety? I thought he was corner.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Maybe it's safety. I thought he was corner like a dad.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Well not like his dad. You know what I'm trying
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: to say. He can play something.

- 1:12:15Speaker 1: That's that's normal.
- 1:12:17Speaker 8: What I don't understand, Dallas, Cowboy Dak Prescott has not
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: taken a snap yet, and I don't get that. And
- 1:12:26Speaker 8: you finna come play Philadelphia for your first game? Uh,
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: the big defense opening game Thursday night would be will
- 1:12:33Speaker 8: be the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cowboys.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: And he ain't took a snap. That doesn't make no
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: sense to me. Well you know this, Dallas, though, this Dallas, what.
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: Makes sense in I mean? And this ain't me hating.

- 1:13:16Speaker 4: with the fans. Well, I loved a cheerleaders. Let me
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: just put that out there. They have the most americous team.
- 1:13:22Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: All right, thank you, nephew. Coming up at the top
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: of the hour, a lady needs some advice Steve on
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: how to handle her baby daddy and his wife. Okay,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: we'll get into that God right after this. You're listening
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, this
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: is from Precious in Memphis. Prescia says, I had a
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: baby in March, and my child's dad has been to
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: see the baby once. He called and asked if he
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: could come and get our child to introduce the baby
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: to his wife. I told him if my I pause
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: there because I know you needed a moment. I told him,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: if my baby goes to meet his wife, then I
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: should go meet her too. He said that his wife
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: doesn't want to meet me. Should I keep my baby
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: away until I meet his wife? That is her question.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: That's precious.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: He's your baby. He'dn't been to see her once. I
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: don't think he's in a position for demands. If you say, look,
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: you can come get the baby, but I want to
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: meet your wife. You got to know who got your kids.
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: Now his wife don't want to meet her, then you
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: can't meet the baby. What what the hell?
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: This woman had the baby?
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: She got DIBs. The mother got DIBs. Sorry, yeah, wow,
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: yeah she had Yeah, brother, you'd have been to see
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: her one time. Now you want to pick the baby
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: up and take so your wife can meet her. Oh well,
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: I want to meet your wife. She don't want to
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: meet you.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Okay, Well cool, she don't want to meet me. Shea's
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: fit to meet my baby, right baby? Okay? All right,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: So she should keep the baby until she meets the wife. Absolutely,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: this is a simple request. Yeah, it was stupid asked it.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: He's stupid. A baby mama for your wife. All right,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: we have time for another one, Steve. This is from
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: Cynthia in Studio City. Cynthia says, I pay my teenage
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: son to help me out by picking up his little
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: brother from school this year and keeping him until I
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: get home from work. I found out that he's been
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: smoking weed out back and leaving my son inside unattended.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I told him that if he can't be as sharp,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: that he can't be as sharp as he needs to
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: be when he's under the influence of drugs. He says,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: he's better when he smokes. He's nineteen years old and
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: weed is legal here.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: So what do I do?
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Do I stop paying him if he's going to be high? Well,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I mean you're paying him to watch is your son? Okay?
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: I mean he's not smoking in front of the How
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: old is the boy?
- 1:16:13Speaker 9: That? Yeah?
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: And I mean if he's outside smoking weed, you know
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: he thinks he can. He the reason he watched him
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: better when he high is called he ain't watching it.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Explain that please here out back smoking weed? I can
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: watch him better from out back. See how that sounds crazy? Yeah?
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: And she's concerned about the younger brother, the little brother
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: in the house by himself, just leaving him in the house.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: He got to be a toddler, he you, well, yeah.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. Should you stop paying
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: him if he's going to be high? She says, yeah,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: But he told his mom that he's better when he smokes.
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: We didn't get paid to watch our siblings. You just
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: had to watch your siblings.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: But I mean, this is a nice savage from the mom. Toddler.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: He's in school, so he's yeah, he's not. Yeah, he's
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: not a toddler problem. That's daymare. Yeah.
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: I can't imagine wrapping my lips up to tell my mama,
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: I'm better when i'm high.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I there, let's go right, right, right right? Nineteen he's
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: ninety Yeah, next question, Shirley, I can't. All right, that's it,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: that's it, that's it. Yeah, he's better when he smokes.
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: If you believe that, then then tyda, we have a problem. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: I think they have a problem. Yeah, but weed is
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: legal there, and he's nineteen. He can't he's stupid. He's
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: here his little brother. Yeah, yeah, but it's not legally
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: if you're nineteen. Well maybe the mom doesn't know that.
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: I mean, don't weed have a like twenty one? Yeah,
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: you gotta be twenty one to smoke it.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: I don't know about wheed, but she did say it's
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: legal there. All right, all right, coming up at about

- 1:25:54Speaker 1: here we are time for closing remarks. I did want
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: to ask you this. You know, sometimes you talk to
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: us about relationships and things like that. I always love
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: when you talk about the four bank accounts, four bank accounts.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: People ask me, what did Steve say about the four
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: bank accounts? Can you explain that? Please?
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: You know, that's crazy because I just had this conversation
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: with this couple who were having an argument about money.
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: Oh why And they said, well, let's ask mister Harvey
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: and see what you think. And so I just had
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: this conversation and it was taught to me actually by
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: a friend of mine who's deceased now, the great Roger E. Salter,
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: who owned San Mar Financial up in Chicago. That man
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: right there taught me so much about finances. Roger Salters
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: man Frat Brother sixty eight, MISSI man. He was a great, great,
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: great friend. He taught me something. He said, Steve, every
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: couple should have four bank accounts. He said, you could
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: save yourself a lot of trouble. Because he was advising
- 1:27:10Speaker 4: me years ago. This was in the nineteen nineties, and
- 1:27:13Speaker 4: he was giving me some advice. Now I was struggling.
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: He said, here's why you're struggling, because even though you're married, man,
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: you need to have individuality. I said no, He said,
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: nobody wants to ask somebody for something all the time.
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: Say you got to create freedom within your marriage, he say,
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: and within your partnership. So every couple should have four
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: bank accounts.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: He said, you.
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: Should have number one. If both of you are working,
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: you should have a joint account where you both put
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: your incomes into this account and you sought out the
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: bills that have to be paid.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: These are the.
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: Must do things, the rent, the mortgage, the light, the gas,
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: the groceries, the card notes, the insurances are cation for
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: all of this has to go in in it. And then,
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: no matter who you are, you have to make a
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: concerted effort, the two of you to save something. He said,
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: I don't care if it's twenty dollars a week, two
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: hundred a week, five percent of your money a week,
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: whatever your two of you decide, you've got to save
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: something from every check. Don't ever spend the whole check.
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: Put it in a joint account that requires both of
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: your signatures to move the money so now you've taken
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: care of your household, you've taken care of your necessities,
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: and now you have a little nest egg that you're building.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: But it requires two people to move, so one person
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: can't go and take the money out without the other
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: person's knowledge. He said, Now a bank account three and
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: four that you need is she needs her own personal
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: account and you need your own person. There's no account
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: because what that does is you all decide out of
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: the joint account where you all put your money. Who
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: gets what as there monthly or buy monthly. If you
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: get paid once a month, it goes in once a month.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: If you get paid twice a month, it goes in
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: twice a month. If you get paid weekly, it goes
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: in weekly. However you want to decide it. But who
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: gets what?
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: He said?
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: Now, let me give you a piece of advice. Son,
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: He said, you.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Should always give your wife more than you get.
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: He said, I explain something to you, he said, because
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: you're not gonna be able to give this woman, especially
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: if you have a true partner, because she will take
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: care of stuff with her money that you don't even
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: think about. She gonna do stuff for the kids, she
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: gonna do stuff for the grandkids. She gonna do stuff
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: for the house out of her money. But now she
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: needs more to maintain herself than you do. You gotta
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: go get a haircut. She gotta get a hair done.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: She gotta buy makeup. She gotta do manicures, pedicures. She
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: gotta do spa treatments to keep it up. She gotta
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: buy skincare products. All you got is some lotion at
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: the house, he says, So give your wife more than
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: you get now in her account. She does not have
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: to ask your permission for anything. If she want to
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: spend it on barettes, she get to buy bags or barettes.
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: She want to spend it on skin care products, You
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: can't say nothing. You, on the other hand, sir, you
- 1:30:31Speaker 4: get your own money. She can't say nothing. If you
- 1:30:34Speaker 4: buying cigars, tequila, if you buying golf clubs, whatever you buy,
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: she can't say anything. You want to loan your partner
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: one hundred dollars, that's on you. She want to give
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: her family members one hundred dollars, that's on her. And
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: it keeps a level of independence while you're made married
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: in freedom and allows the one person not to be
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: beholden to the other person. It'll cut down on a
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: lot of financial arguments. It'll ensure that you all have
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: taken care of your basics, and it will ensure that
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: you all are building for the future with some type
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: of saving. Four bank accounts per couple is a must have.
- 1:31:18Speaker 4: Greatest advice I've ever had. Those are my closing remarks today,
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: and listen to everybody. Please don't forget talk to God today.
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: He would absolutely love to hear from you.
