- 1:58Speaker 9: Come on you think uh h, I sure will come
- 2:03Speaker 9: on to everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 9: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey, Oh yeah, man,
- 2:11Speaker 9: got a radio show. Do you understand that? I'm telling you.
- 2:15Speaker 9: God been big in my life. I'm not gonna kid you.
- 2:19Speaker 9: I'm telling you, and He'll do the same thing for you.
- 2:22Speaker 2: God.
- 2:22Speaker 9: God is a gentleman, you know. I want to I
- 2:25Speaker 9: want to point that out to you. God is an
- 2:28Speaker 9: absolute gentleman. He will not come in unless he's invited.
- 2:35Speaker 9: He don't just barge into your life. He gives us
- 2:39Speaker 9: the power of choice. You know, if you say you
- 2:42Speaker 9: got it, I don't need you.
- 2:44Speaker 2: He lets you have it. If you say I need you,
- 2:47Speaker 2: come see about me. He right there.
- 2:50Speaker 9: It's just a real simple thing, man. So always say
- 2:55Speaker 9: to people this. If you've gotten yourself into something please
- 3:00Speaker 9: know I have. I I was stuck. I thought a
- 3:06Speaker 9: couple of times, well might not make it past this one.
- 3:12Speaker 9: But then if I don't make it past it, what's
- 3:14Speaker 9: gonna happen? And then I held on to this little
- 3:18Speaker 9: thing that my mother kept talking to me about. She said,
- 3:21Speaker 9: sometimes some when you ain't got nothing else in you,
- 3:24Speaker 9: just hope, she said, just hope it'll be all right,
- 3:29Speaker 9: you know. And what I've learned in my life is
- 3:31Speaker 9: that hope is the beginning of faith. Hope is just
- 3:36Speaker 9: is their possibility out there for me. I show hope,
- 3:43Speaker 9: something happened. See hope, Hope is okay, man, Because like
- 3:49Speaker 9: I say, for me the way I've lived my life,
- 3:52Speaker 9: hope was the beginning of faith.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It was just the idea.
- 3:56Speaker 9: It's just the thought that something could change for me,
- 3:59Speaker 9: that something could be a little bit different from me,
- 4:02Speaker 9: that maybe, man, just maybe for some reason, I could
- 4:07Speaker 9: be saved, I could be rescued, Things could turn around,
- 4:11Speaker 9: it could hit any other direction. Maybe I can quit
- 4:14Speaker 9: messing up. Maybe somebody will forgive me, maybe somebody will
- 4:19Speaker 9: just say all right. I don't know, but I can't
- 4:22Speaker 9: count the times I've been in that position. But then
- 4:26Speaker 9: once I hope a little bit. And then I remember
- 4:28Speaker 9: also my mother, because she was a Sunday school teacher.
- 4:31Speaker 9: She taught me the most valuable lesson I've ever learned
- 4:34Speaker 9: in my life. Nothing has been greater in my life
- 4:37Speaker 9: than my faith. She taught me to pray. Mama used
- 4:41Speaker 9: to say, when it get real, dog for your son,
- 4:43Speaker 9: Prayer change is things, she say, When you seem like
- 4:47Speaker 9: you lost and you can't find your way, stop and pray,
- 4:52Speaker 9: she said, because prayer change is things.
- 4:55Speaker 2: You know.
- 4:55Speaker 9: When you get a point in your life when you've
- 4:56Speaker 9: done all you can do and you can't do no more,
- 4:59Speaker 9: and you just don't know what to do next, she says, stop, son,
- 5:03Speaker 9: pray and combine that prayer with that hope that you got,
- 5:09Speaker 9: she said, because that hope is to beginning of faith,
- 5:12Speaker 9: she said. If you pray just hoping, she saying, to
- 5:15Speaker 9: God come through for you. That'll give you confidence that
- 5:19Speaker 9: he can do it again. And then after a while,
- 5:21Speaker 9: you quit hoping, she's saying, you start believing. She saying,
- 5:25Speaker 9: that's when you're on to something. If you can turn
- 5:28Speaker 9: that hope into belief, that hope into faith, the ability
- 5:33Speaker 9: to believe in something that you can't see. But the
- 5:37Speaker 9: key though the faith is you're believing in something that
- 5:40Speaker 9: you can't see. See hoping a little bit different from
- 5:44Speaker 9: me Now, I'm pretty sure, Like I say oftentimes to
- 5:47Speaker 9: tell a lot of people who can explain this thing
- 5:49Speaker 9: a lot better than I can to you, But just
- 5:52Speaker 9: from my side of it, being as real as I
- 5:54Speaker 9: can be rich you See, hope helps.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Man.
- 5:58Speaker 9: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope,
- 6:01Speaker 9: and then if you pray with some hope and God
- 6:03Speaker 9: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence,
- 6:08Speaker 9: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now I
- 6:13Speaker 9: ain't just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something
- 6:17Speaker 9: that I cannot see. Faith has been the key to
- 6:23Speaker 9: my entire existence, even when I didn't have any It
- 6:29Speaker 9: was faith, as I look back on it, that has
- 6:32Speaker 9: gotten me here, and not just faith, but my faith. See,
- 6:37Speaker 9: you will only get to where you're going in your
- 6:40Speaker 9: life based on your faith.
- 6:44Speaker 2: See.
- 6:44Speaker 9: A lot of people get the word faith confused, like
- 6:47Speaker 9: what's your faith? And then they start going down this
- 6:50Speaker 9: whole list of all these different religions out here.
- 6:53Speaker 2: But really an essence, man, when I talk.
- 6:55Speaker 9: To people about faith I'm talking to you about your
- 7:00Speaker 9: your belief. How much do you believe in the unseen?
- 7:05Speaker 9: How much do you believe in the things you can't see?
- 7:09Speaker 9: How much do you believe in the impossible? How much
- 7:13Speaker 9: do you believe see? Because faith is the belief in
- 7:19Speaker 9: things that you cannot see. Faith is the core of
- 7:25Speaker 9: all that is happening.
- 7:26Speaker 2: To me today.
- 7:28Speaker 9: It is the faith that I have in my relationship
- 7:31Speaker 9: with God that enables me to just oftentimes, if I
- 7:37Speaker 9: stay on the right course and believe a certain way
- 7:40Speaker 9: and act a certain way, his blessings just poor. They
- 7:46Speaker 9: just come. And it comes in a lot of little
- 7:49Speaker 9: ways too. I've started to notice, see, it ain't just
- 7:52Speaker 9: a lot of people think blessings is money. No, man,
- 7:55Speaker 9: that ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane
- 8:00Speaker 9: and safe. It's every time they predict bad weather and
- 8:04Speaker 9: I get up in the sky and it don't be
- 8:06Speaker 9: no bad weather. You know, this is this is favor.
- 8:11Speaker 9: These are blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody
- 8:14Speaker 9: call me and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity,
- 8:19Speaker 9: you know. Somebody say, hey, man, I don't know, but
- 8:23Speaker 9: I sent this to you.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I thought you might be interested in it.
- 8:26Speaker 9: Somebody will send me a scripture, or somebody will send
- 8:29Speaker 9: me something that's favor, and it always comes at a
- 8:33Speaker 9: time when I need it the most. That's favor, that's
- 8:37Speaker 9: pouring out blessings.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Now.
- 8:40Speaker 9: I'm also the recipient of a lot of other blessings too.
- 8:44Speaker 9: You know, I've been blessed with health. That's amazing blessing.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Man.
- 8:48Speaker 9: I've been blessed with a spirit of not quitting. I've
- 8:53Speaker 9: been blessed with the ability to shoulder huge amounts of responsibility.
- 9:00Speaker 9: Blessings come a lot of ways. But once you tie
- 9:04Speaker 9: in to God, Once you tie in and you start
- 9:08Speaker 9: doing the best you can do, and you start asking
- 9:11Speaker 9: for him to make you a better person, to help
- 9:14Speaker 9: shape and mold you into the kind of man or
- 9:18Speaker 9: person that he wants you to be.
- 9:20Speaker 2: You be amazed what God can do with you.
- 9:22Speaker 9: Man, if you just invite me in and allow him
- 9:25Speaker 9: to be a part of your life.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I mean, what you got to lose out there?
- 9:29Speaker 9: Come on, if you're sitting in the cell this morning,
- 9:32Speaker 9: why would you not change? You have a chance to
- 9:35Speaker 9: turn your life around with a relationship with God. What
- 9:38Speaker 9: you're waiting on? Are you gonna just keep doing it
- 9:40Speaker 9: like that.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Huh.
- 9:41Speaker 9: Really, come on, man, why would you do that to yourself?
- 9:47Speaker 9: Why would you not allow God to be a part
- 9:49Speaker 9: of your life so you can get the way he
- 9:51Speaker 9: wants you to be. God got some big plans for you.
- 9:54Speaker 9: If he didn't, you wouldn't keep waking up listening.
- 9:59Speaker 10: Show.

- 10:22Speaker 9: Jays, why for the love of money, cash money, dollar bills,
- 10:32Speaker 9: y'all's in.
- 10:33Speaker 2: The same group.
- 10:34Speaker 9: In the words of o Jays, why because you've got
- 10:41Speaker 9: your hooks in me.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Yeah. The reason you.
- 10:49Speaker 9: Have your hooks in me is because I'm aware by
- 10:52Speaker 9: the same group a song called they smile in your face.

- 14:45Speaker 4: If you got a parking spot, your private bathroom with
- 14:48Speaker 4: a shower and a fifty I'm gonna need first last

- 15:18Speaker 14: got a backyard, I can use.
- 15:20Speaker 4: We got a backyard. What do you teach?
- 15:22Speaker 14: I teach yoga. I teach yoga in the morning from
- 15:25Speaker 14: from six to eight. Hopefully that won't be a problem.
- 15:27Speaker 14: You make you make money doing yoga? Yes, sir, I
- 15:29Speaker 14: definitely do. I make enough, definitely to cover the rent.
- 15:31Speaker 14: That's for sure.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Dad shouldn't be a problem. I know, I know a
- 15:35Speaker 4: little bit about yoga.
- 15:35Speaker 15: That's that.
- 15:36Speaker 4: I mean, really, if there's y'all you know you're not
- 15:38Speaker 4: making no noise at yoga, that's not a problem.
- 15:40Speaker 14: A good deal. How quick can I actually get moved in?
- 15:43Speaker 14: And I'm trying to get settled. I just moved in
- 15:44Speaker 14: from the from the East coast. I jumped on my
- 15:47Speaker 14: yoga pretty quicks and you got quite a bit of
- 15:49Speaker 14: clientele built up, and you know, I'm just just ready
- 15:53Speaker 14: to get started, get moved in. Man, something that I
- 15:55Speaker 14: can actually call home, you know.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Uh yeah, well you know we're looking to rent rented
- 15:58Speaker 4: out pretty quick, you know, because we want to try
- 16:01Speaker 4: and get it filled as soon as possible.
- 16:02Speaker 14: Because you said, will are you? Are you you got
- 16:05Speaker 14: a roommate your you're married?
- 16:08Speaker 4: It would be me and my wife and uh we
- 16:10Speaker 4: it's a three bedroom home. You would have the room
- 16:12Speaker 4: in the back with the bathroom and uh like a
- 16:15Speaker 4: fifty do a credit check, right, you know, we mean
- 16:18Speaker 4: I can do the background check and uh no, no.
- 16:22Speaker 14: What what what? What?
- 16:22Speaker 15: What?
- 16:23Speaker 2: What?
- 16:23Speaker 14: What? What do you necessarily need to do that for?
- 16:25Speaker 4: Well, you got to know who you're into and then
- 16:27Speaker 4: you want to know what the credit they got, so
- 16:28Speaker 4: if they can afford the rent or not.
- 16:30Speaker 14: You know, I got I got real good credit. Man,
- 16:32Speaker 14: My credit is fine. I'm actually in the eight hundreds
- 16:34Speaker 14: on my credits.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Corse damn. All right, when you get here, will how
- 16:38Speaker 4: you feel out of application? But you know, if if
- 16:41Speaker 4: you're ready to get it cracking, I can do. I
- 16:42Speaker 4: can do a background check, and you right now just
- 16:44Speaker 4: give me a sub security number.
- 16:45Speaker 14: Okay, well let me let me go ahead and just
- 16:47Speaker 14: do this. Man on that background check, because you know
- 16:50Speaker 14: what I want to say about that is this there
- 16:52Speaker 14: might be something on there about like when I was
- 16:55Speaker 14: on the East Coast. You know, I was actually teaching uh,
- 16:58Speaker 14: naked yoga. You know what I mean?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yo?
- 17:00Speaker 14: Uh you know you might see something on there about
- 17:02Speaker 14: me being anphold naked yoga.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yo.
- 17:06Speaker 14: Say that's what That's the kind of yoga I was
- 17:07Speaker 14: teaching on the East Coast was naked yoga, you know
- 17:09Speaker 14: what I'm saying. And everybody teaching nagga yoga here. But
- 17:12Speaker 14: but see it's in the backyard.
- 17:13Speaker 16: It's closed in you know what the backyard, and you
- 17:16Speaker 16: what what what other glitch you got you said.
- 17:18Speaker 4: There's some glitches, Michael, Well, what is the glitch you got?
- 17:20Speaker 14: Well, you might see that I'm a npho mania. But
- 17:23Speaker 14: see they but see I didn't took something. I took him.
- 17:26Speaker 14: I done took counseling for that though.
- 17:28Speaker 16: No, well you need to take some counseling over somewhere else.
- 17:31Speaker 16: You ain't taking no counseling and doing no naked yoga
- 17:33Speaker 16: in my backyard.
- 17:35Speaker 14: Not man. All that's behind me. Now, that's on the
- 17:37Speaker 14: East coast. Man, that's that's all behind me. Now, I
- 17:39Speaker 14: didn't put that thing down.
- 17:40Speaker 16: Man, I don't care if it's behind you, in front
- 17:42Speaker 16: of you on the side. You're doing naka yoga in
- 17:44Speaker 16: my backyard.
- 17:44Speaker 4: That ain't happening, man, no matter of fact.
- 17:46Speaker 14: Man, hey man, listen, that's when I got all your
- 17:49Speaker 14: liters that qualify and move in there. And now you're
- 17:51Speaker 14: gonna sit here and tell me I can't.
- 17:52Speaker 17: Talking about doing some naked yoga in my backyard with
- 17:55Speaker 17: no twenty thirty people.
- 17:56Speaker 15: Now my wife's being on man.
- 17:58Speaker 16: You look, you know what, Darnielle, it's all good man.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Just scratch that one off your list and just move
- 18:06Speaker 4: on to the next one, because it ain't no neked
- 18:08Speaker 4: yoga going down back here with nonfle maniac. I don't
- 18:10Speaker 4: know what else y'all might be doing. I don't know what.
- 18:13Speaker 4: I don't know who does next.
- 18:14Speaker 14: Year we always it's just it's just it's just a
- 18:17Speaker 14: serene moment. Man, Where you find yourself. That's all this
- 18:21Speaker 14: really is about.
- 18:22Speaker 15: Where you better find yourself somewhere. No, that's what I know.
- 18:24Speaker 16: You ain't doing no next yoga in my backyard. I'm
- 18:27Speaker 16: surprised you even called somebody with that.
- 18:29Speaker 14: Hey, man, I'm gonna come over that to this address
- 18:31Speaker 14: and start looking at this place because I want to

- 36:43Speaker 9: they need a sauce on it or something, but it
- 36:45Speaker 9: ain't great.
- 36:49Speaker 10: I don't cook. What about you, nephew.
- 36:54Speaker 12: I'm gonna go with the kids, but I don't have
- 36:57Speaker 12: in laws, so i'd have to go with the kids.
- 36:59Speaker 12: I know you to the keys I can have all day.
- 37:02Speaker 12: I know how to preoccupy a last one? Would you
- 37:06Speaker 12: rather be rich and alone? Rich and alone?
- 37:11Speaker 10: Or poor?
- 37:12Speaker 11: With true love your soulmate? A Hey, I'm going with rich,
- 37:19Speaker 11: rich and alone.
- 37:21Speaker 2: You won't know it, but I have plenty people over this,
- 37:23Speaker 2: even rich and alone. That's a beautiful thing. Or she
- 37:31Speaker 2: might not stay well for two hours though.
- 37:35Speaker 10: All right, that's today's round of would you rather you're listening?
- 37:41Speaker 10: Morning show?
- 37:42Speaker 11: All right, guys, it is time to check Steve's voicemail.
- 37:45Speaker 11: If you want to leave a message for Steve, give
- 37:47Speaker 11: us a call. Please, eight seven, seven twenty nine, Steve
- 37:50Speaker 11: Uh Steve. This caller's name.
- 37:52Speaker 10: Is don.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Dejawon dajon Oh djuh Won.
- 37:56Speaker 10: Why do I say don uh thank you Bishop want.
- 38:03Speaker 11: Maybe that's where my head is, right I put it
- 38:05Speaker 11: all together. This caller's name is Dajuhwan Steve. He's asking
- 38:10Speaker 11: for advice for young men faith Steve.
- 38:12Speaker 14: My name is Davon, and I was looking for some advice, prenny.
- 38:16Speaker 18: Young black man out there that's just trying to make
- 38:19Speaker 18: it to have your ambition, just to be successful in life.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Like, what's the best advice you got besides just keep
- 38:27Speaker 4: moving forward?
- 38:28Speaker 2: He says, besides keep moving forward?
- 38:31Speaker 1: Yes, besides saying that keep moving forward.
- 38:35Speaker 10: Well he's started you saying that. Say something else.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Or he's tired of hearing it from somewhere else.
- 38:41Speaker 9: Well, here's the deal. Two things help you become successful.
- 38:48Speaker 9: It's the motivation of what it is you're doing it for.
- 38:52Speaker 9: And it's the discipline, the willingness to apply the work
- 38:56Speaker 9: ethic and the faith necessary to make it come true.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Motivation changes some days.
- 39:02Speaker 9: You won't be motivated because things happen during the course
- 39:06Speaker 9: of a day. If you're motivated to become successful. Okay, cool,
- 39:12Speaker 9: But you wake up this morning and you're having a
- 39:15Speaker 9: family emergency. Your motivation isn't to become successful right now.
- 39:20Speaker 9: Your motivation becomes to solve the family emergency. Your emergency
- 39:24Speaker 9: comes becomes let me go see what my wife really
- 39:27Speaker 9: needs from me. Your motivation becomes could become that day,
- 39:32Speaker 9: let me go down here and get these bills paid
- 39:34Speaker 9: so I can get this light turned on. So motivation
- 39:38Speaker 9: to become successful it wanes from time to time. The
- 39:44Speaker 9: thing that can never wane is your discipline. You must
- 39:50Speaker 9: remain disciplined to stay the course. So even though young man,
- 39:55Speaker 9: you don't want to hear, to keep moving forward, the
- 39:58Speaker 9: two factors that drive you to your goals your motivation
- 40:01Speaker 9: and your discipline. The discipline can never wane even if
- 40:05Speaker 9: your motivation changes, so the motivation changes. I got to
- 40:09Speaker 9: go down here and pay this bill and get this
- 40:10Speaker 9: LFE back on. I got to go in here and
- 40:12Speaker 9: take care of this family emergency. When that is handled,
- 40:17Speaker 9: the discipline causes you to either before you go do that,
- 40:21Speaker 9: to do the things that you committed to do, or
- 40:24Speaker 9: after you handle that, get right back to doing the
- 40:26Speaker 9: thing that you was committed to do. It's the discipline
- 40:29Speaker 9: that's doing what you have to do when you don't want.
- 40:32Speaker 1: To do it right.
- 40:35Speaker 9: That's different from keep moving forward. It is you got
- 40:40Speaker 9: to disciplined. And I work on that all the time myself.
- 40:46Speaker 9: And I'm older and I have become successful, but I
- 40:50Speaker 9: still have to remind myself to be disciplined at all
- 40:54Speaker 9: times or else even I can go off track.
- 40:59Speaker 11: That's real talking, all right, all right, Jaijuan call her
- 41:03Speaker 11: name Tricia. Steve says she loves Cedric the entertainer.
- 41:08Speaker 17: Hey, Steve, this is Trica.
- 41:09Speaker 23: I just want to get a shout out to your boy, Sedric,
- 41:14Speaker 23: said SETI said to be entertainer. He was by my
- 41:17Speaker 23: office the other day and he got off to take
- 41:20Speaker 23: a selfie. Would be because I couldn't do it inside
- 41:23Speaker 23: the car because it was too dark in there, and
- 41:25Speaker 23: he was too dark.
- 41:26Speaker 18: For these see, So he got out of the car,
- 41:29Speaker 18: took the.
- 41:29Speaker 23: Seat, felt off and everything because he was wretched.
- 41:31Speaker 14: So but he still did that for them.
- 41:34Speaker 23: They truck was breaking to get this party fight, and
- 41:37Speaker 23: he didn't care about that. I just think he's a
- 41:40Speaker 23: cool guy, and I got pictures of video of him
- 41:43Speaker 23: doing that. I just love SETI said to be entertainer.
- 41:47Speaker 23: He's a good guy, and I know you know it
- 41:49Speaker 23: play John Steve Morning Shows.
- 41:52Speaker 9: Yeah, best guy. No, but what you're not gonna do
- 41:55Speaker 9: is call in here and talk about how dog here
- 42:00Speaker 9: because there wasn't enough light in that car seats, the
- 42:02Speaker 9: black leather and then his dark answers in there and
- 42:05Speaker 9: you couldn't see him because of the seats and the
- 42:08Speaker 9: interior of the car. That's what you're not gonna do
- 42:10Speaker 9: about me, not y'all. So what do you A lot
- 42:13Speaker 9: of people got to get out and get into light.
- 42:15Speaker 9: Nice kid, people need light too.
- 42:17Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I'm not just gonna put this off on said thank
- 42:21Speaker 2: you for calling, but you're.
- 42:23Speaker 11: Just hung out with them and you guys had a blast. Yeah,
- 42:26Speaker 11: all right, Tricia, Yeah, all right. Coming up next, we
- 42:30Speaker 11: have a prank phone call for today. Right after this,
- 42:33Speaker 11: you're listening Hardy Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 42:38Speaker 11: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 42:41Speaker 11: Strawberry letter for today, the subject I fell in love
- 42:44Speaker 11: with the cookie Monster. We'll get into that a little later,
- 42:49Speaker 11: but right now it is time for the prank call.
- 42:51Speaker 10: All right, nephew, what you got, well, you.
- 42:55Speaker 12: Know, I'm always, you know, at this time, I'm always
- 42:57Speaker 12: promoting whatever prank I'm sorry, whatever comedy show I got
- 43:02Speaker 12: coming up.
- 43:02Speaker 2: That's normally when I do it right here.
- 43:04Speaker 12: But I think on this day, you know, I want
- 43:06Speaker 12: to say happy anniversary to my beautiful, lovely wife twenty

- 43:17Speaker 12: crazy behind. I want to say, girl, you my ride
- 43:20Speaker 12: or dying, my rock, my ship, my whole nine yard girl.

- 49:25Speaker 18: know who gave me my number, but I think you
- 49:27Speaker 18: need to figure out who else to call for this
- 49:28Speaker 18: because I'm not gonna be a part of this.
- 49:30Speaker 14: We called all the other QUD members and they don't

- 52:26Speaker 11: I fell in Love with the Cookie Monster, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:30Speaker 11: In twenty seventeen, I met a handsome man at a
- 52:33Speaker 11: nail salon.
- 52:34Speaker 10: He stared at me the entire time, so I gave
- 52:37Speaker 10: him my card.
- 52:38Speaker 11: As I left, he called and invited me to his
- 52:40Speaker 11: apartment for dinner, and we've been together since that night.
- 52:44Speaker 11: He's a big flirt and a bit too outgoing, and
- 52:47Speaker 11: it's always bothered me. Two years ago, I started checking
- 52:51Speaker 11: his phone and he was always talking to different women.
- 52:54Speaker 11: Whenever I called him a flirt, he would say he's
- 52:57Speaker 11: a people person. He works long and I don't get
- 53:00Speaker 11: to see him every day, so that bothers me too.
- 53:03Speaker 11: We're friends on Facebook, but he's always said he didn't
- 53:07Speaker 11: like Instagram. Well I guess he changed his mind about
- 53:11Speaker 11: it because I found out he created a private Instagram
- 53:14Speaker 11: account and he had blocked me. I was so upset
- 53:18Speaker 11: that I created a fake Instagram account and I sent
- 53:20Speaker 11: him a friend request. He let me follow him, and
- 53:23Speaker 11: I started flirting with him in the DMS. I asked
- 53:26Speaker 11: if he was married or dating anyone. He said, he
- 53:29Speaker 11: has someone special in his life, but it's an open relationship.
- 53:33Speaker 10: I couldn't believe him.
- 53:35Speaker 11: I started stalking his comments and I sent messages to
- 53:38Speaker 11: women that left hearts emojis on his pictures.
- 53:42Speaker 10: I told him I was his wife.
- 53:43Speaker 11: Four women responded and said they'd had sex with him
- 53:46Speaker 11: within the past two years.
- 53:48Speaker 10: I printed the messages and confronted him. He said it
- 53:51Speaker 10: was all true, and he said that I may have assumed.
- 53:55Speaker 11: We were monogamous, but he has never told me that.
- 53:59Speaker 11: He jokingly referred to himself as the cookie monster and
- 54:03Speaker 11: he was trying to get all the cookies he could
- 54:05Speaker 11: before he settled down. He said he's in love with me,
- 54:09Speaker 11: despite how crazy I acted, and he wants to marry
- 54:12Speaker 11: me one day. Do you think the cookie monster is
- 54:15Speaker 11: gone for good? Can I trust this man as my husband?
- 54:19Speaker 11: Is a cookie monster gone for good? And can I
- 54:21Speaker 11: trust this man as my husband? You ask, well, can
- 54:26Speaker 11: you trust him as a boyfriend?
- 54:28Speaker 14: Now?
- 54:30Speaker 10: Hmm, that's what you have to ask yourself.
- 54:35Speaker 11: I think the answer is no, because right now he
- 54:38Speaker 11: is who he is a man who refers to himself
- 54:41Speaker 11: as the.
- 54:42Speaker 10: Cookie monster, trying to get all the cookies he can.
- 54:45Speaker 11: Right now, I think the best thing about him that
- 54:48Speaker 11: I can see is that he did come clean with
- 54:50Speaker 11: you after you busted him. You know about the women
- 54:55Speaker 11: and everything. In this letter, though you left out a
- 54:58Speaker 11: lot like how much time pass from when he called
- 55:02Speaker 11: you and when you went to his apartment for dinner.
- 55:06Speaker 11: You also didn't say if you guys had sex that night.
- 55:09Speaker 10: I'm assuming you did.
- 55:10Speaker 11: You say, you know, he told you one of his entanglements,
- 55:14Speaker 11: that you know, one of them, that you were special.
- 55:18Speaker 11: He did have someone special in his life, but it
- 55:20Speaker 11: was an open relationship. You didn't know anything about this
- 55:23Speaker 11: being an open relationship. And how's that for feeling special?
- 55:28Speaker 11: You didn't even know anything. He didn't say this to you.
- 55:31Speaker 11: I think you started with him too fast. I don't
- 55:34Speaker 11: think you set any boundaries with him, so he just
- 55:37Speaker 11: put you in the open category while you looked at
- 55:40Speaker 11: him as your man. But he's everybody's man of sines.
- 55:44Speaker 11: You know, he's trying to get all the cookies he can.
- 55:46Speaker 11: That's what he said, So you know, tell him how
- 55:49Speaker 11: you feel and what you want and if if you
- 55:51Speaker 11: don't get that, maybe you need to leave a cookie monster.
- 55:55Speaker 10: I certainly think you deserve better, but you got to
- 55:57Speaker 10: let him know it.
- 55:58Speaker 9: Steve, Well, ma'am that wrote this letter, if you had
- 56:05Speaker 9: read your letter as you wrote it, you to answer
- 56:09Speaker 9: these questions yourself. The number one question is can I
- 56:13Speaker 9: trust this man as my husband? What are you talking
- 56:19Speaker 9: about husband?
- 56:20Speaker 8: For me? How?
- 56:22Speaker 2: How did you get there? So let me show you something.
- 56:25Speaker 9: Ma'am was standing at you while he was getting your nails,
- 56:28Speaker 9: so afterwards you gave him your card. As I left,
- 56:33Speaker 9: he called me and invited me to his apartment for dinner. Okay,
- 56:40Speaker 9: you left. He called you the next day.
- 56:44Speaker 2: This is all.
- 56:44Speaker 9: This is Shirley. This ain't no time went by. He
- 56:49Speaker 9: called me, invited you to his apartment for dinner. You
- 56:51Speaker 9: go over a man's house you don't know. And we
- 56:54Speaker 9: have been together since that night. Well, something had to
- 56:58Speaker 9: go down that night to see a deal. They had
- 57:01Speaker 9: sex because they've been together since that night.
- 57:04Speaker 14: Right.
- 57:06Speaker 9: Well, he's a big flirt and a big two out
- 57:10Speaker 9: going and it's always bothered me. Why are we talking
- 57:15Speaker 9: about this man being your husband. Two years ago, I
- 57:21Speaker 9: started checking his phone and he's always talking to different women.
- 57:25Speaker 9: Why are we talking about this man being your husband?
- 57:30Speaker 9: And then a question is can I trust this man
- 57:34Speaker 9: as my husband? He's always talking to different women. Whenever
- 57:41Speaker 9: I call him a flirt, he would say he's a
- 57:44Speaker 9: people person.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Can you trust him? You know he's a flirt. He
- 57:48Speaker 2: tells you he's a people person. Why are you talking
- 57:52Speaker 2: about making this man your husband? He works long hours.
- 57:57Speaker 9: I don't get to see him every day, so that
- 57:58Speaker 9: bothers me too. We friends on Facebook, but he always
- 58:02Speaker 9: said he didn't like Instagram.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Well I guess he.
- 58:05Speaker 9: Changed his mind because I found out they created a fake,
- 58:08Speaker 9: a private Instagram account, and he has blocked me. Let's
- 58:12Speaker 9: go back to the bottom of the letter. Can I
- 58:14Speaker 9: trust this man as my husband? He'd have created a
- 58:20Speaker 9: private page and then blocked you. Can I trust this
- 58:27Speaker 9: man as my husband? Why did you write? Why are
- 58:30Speaker 9: you asking this question? We come back. I'm gonna tell
- 58:32Speaker 9: you the rest of it, and I promise you.
- 58:34Speaker 1: All right, Thank you, Steve.
- 58:35Speaker 2: It's just.
- 58:38Speaker 10: Of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 58:41Speaker 10: the hour.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Oh, it's gonna be more. The same.
- 58:44Speaker 11: I know, subject I fell in love with the Cookie Monster.
- 58:50Speaker 11: We'll get into it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 58:54Speaker 11: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap
- 58:57Speaker 11: today's Strawberry letters, subject I fell in love with the
- 59:00Speaker 11: cookie Monster.
- 59:02Speaker 9: This woman wants to know if we think that the
- 59:04Speaker 9: cookie Monster's gone for good? Then the next question is
- 59:08Speaker 9: can I trust this man? Then her statement was as
- 59:11Speaker 9: my husband, And I've showed you all through the letter
- 59:14Speaker 9: why you can't trust or why you want to make
- 59:16Speaker 9: him your husband. You gave this man your card after
- 59:20Speaker 9: he was staring at you in the nail salon. He
- 59:22Speaker 9: invited you to his apartment for dinner. He all been
- 59:24Speaker 9: together ever since that night, which means you had sex
- 59:27Speaker 9: and you been with him ever since. He's a big
- 59:29Speaker 9: flirt and a bit too outgoing, and it's always bothered me.
- 59:33Speaker 9: So why you're talking about making him your husband? Two
- 59:36Speaker 9: years ago, I started checking his phone and he's always
- 59:39Speaker 9: talking to different women.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Okay, your question is how can I trust this man
- 59:43Speaker 2: as my husband? Right now?
- 59:45Speaker 9: You can't trust him, or don't look like you're gonna
- 59:47Speaker 9: make him your husband. Whenever I called him a flirt,
- 59:51Speaker 9: he would say he's a people person. Well that's good.
- 59:54Speaker 9: He changed the title of that right quick. But why
- 59:57Speaker 9: you're talking about making him your husband? He works long hour.
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: I don't get to see him every day, so that
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: bothers me too. We friends on Facebook, but he's always
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: said he didn't like Instagram. I guess he changed his
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: mind about it because I found out he created a
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: private page and he has blocked me. Why do you
- 1:00:12Speaker 9: think you can trust him with the private page? And
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: then blocked you? Why why you even talking about this
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: man being your hug? So I was upset you created
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: a fake Instagram account? Send him a free request. He
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: let me follow him, and I started flutting with him
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: in the DMS.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Right there.
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: I asked if he was married or dating anyone. He
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: said he has someone special in his life. It's a
- 1:00:39Speaker 9: line should have gave you plenty of hope, but it's
- 1:00:43Speaker 9: an open relationship. When he snatched that rug right back
- 1:00:46Speaker 9: out under your feet, got your hair something, no, you don't.
- 1:00:51Speaker 9: I couldn't believe him. I started stalking his comments, and
- 1:00:54Speaker 9: then you sent messages to women. You had to stalk
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: his comments. And this is a man you want to
- 1:00:59Speaker 9: know if you could trust or make your husband. I
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: sent messages to several women that left hearts and emojis
- 1:01:06Speaker 9: on this pictures. I told him I was his wife.
- 1:01:09Speaker 9: Four women responded and said they'd had sextioned him within
- 1:01:12Speaker 9: the past two years. These is the same two years
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: you was dating after you slept with him the first night, right,
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: so now the whole time he didn't have four other women.
- 1:01:22Speaker 9: That's fold that you know about. I printed the message
- 1:01:26Speaker 9: confronted him. He said it was all true, and he
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: said that I may have assumed we were monogamous, but
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: he has never told me that.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: So why are you asking me? And Shirley?
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: Can I trust this man as my husband when you
- 1:01:41Speaker 9: can't trust him as your boyfriend? If you can't trust
- 1:01:44Speaker 9: him as your boyfriend, why are you talking about going
- 1:01:47Speaker 9: to city any further. He jokingly referred to himself as
- 1:01:50Speaker 9: a cookie monster, and he was trying to get all
- 1:01:52Speaker 9: the cookies he could before he settled down. Okay, and
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: I guess he'll notify you when that's gonna happen, because
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: he didn't tell you nothing about the other women, and.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: All this here right now, watch this him.
- 1:02:06Speaker 9: He said he's in love with me, despite how despite
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: how crazy I am acted and he wants to marry
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: me one day. Well, that's a hold of them. That's
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: what we will pretty good hold of line. I want
- 1:02:20Speaker 9: to marry you one day, so that will give you
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: enough to hang on?
- 1:02:23Speaker 14: Right?
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Do you think the cookie monster is gone for good?
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Want to man? Ask you something? Did he tell you
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: that the cookie monster was gone? Because I didn't hear
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: that and let him?
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: Did he say that? Everything else he said? He said
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: he didn't like Instagram, he had a fake page. And
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: now he's telling you that he want all the cookies
- 1:02:44Speaker 9: he can get. And you still want to know if
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: you can trust him with making your husband know the
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: cookie Man ain't gone. And of course he said he
- 1:02:53Speaker 9: wanted to marry you. That's to hold you, lady, pull
- 1:02:56Speaker 9: yourself together. I got you got two years in face,
- 1:03:00Speaker 9: but I tell women all this time, you might have
- 1:03:02Speaker 9: two years investing and you got two more years to waste.
- 1:03:07Speaker 9: Quit trying to measure everything with how much time you
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: got invested, and ask yourself, how much more time do
- 1:03:12Speaker 9: I have in this type of mess that you obviously
- 1:03:15Speaker 9: don't agree.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Not the cookie mon say ain't gonna. He didn't tell
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: you he was just like he didn't tell you.
- 1:03:22Speaker 9: See, you thought you was in a monogamous relationship, but
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: he said I never told you that.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: He didn't tell you he had a fake account either.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: He didn't tell you he had screwed four women in
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: two years that you found out about.
- 1:03:34Speaker 9: He ain't told you nothing. What he did tell you
- 1:03:39Speaker 9: that he's a people person. You called him a flirt.
- 1:03:41Speaker 9: He quickly changed that because he don't like that. I'm
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: a people person.
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: I like people, especially women.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I like.
- 1:03:49Speaker 9: But I'm trying to get all the cookie I can
- 1:03:51Speaker 9: for I settled down. Well, he ain't told you when
- 1:03:54Speaker 9: he was gonna settle down either, did he. You're in
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: a crazy ass relationship for two years. You don't have
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: something you think you have man. You don't have a
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: monogamous relationship. You don't have a man you can trust.
- 1:04:07Speaker 9: And you want a man that told you he wants
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: to marry you, but he ain't told you when that
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: would be lady, Okay, that's all I got for anybody
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: want to ask.
- 1:04:20Speaker 19: If he is trustless and something wrong with you kept
- 1:04:24Speaker 19: signing out stuff and you stayed and he's ready.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: How many cookies you think he got in the cookies? Y'all?
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: His hand.
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: His hand all down at the bottom of the cookie.
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: He got cookie cross all under his.
- 1:04:39Speaker 10: Flanking chocolate chef Peanut.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Pe Care said the vanilla corn cookies. Oh yeah, he
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: like all that.
- 1:04:50Speaker 11: All right, thanks to you're listening.

- 1:05:08Speaker 19: Daddy a gift yet, These some gifts. If you see him,
- 1:05:13Speaker 19: damn it, don't get them. Okay, This is what Daddy
- 1:05:16Speaker 19: don't want. Okay, A wool lime green housecoat that says
- 1:05:24Speaker 19: do it Daddy on the back.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: He don't want that. If you see it.
- 1:05:31Speaker 19: A gold tooth with a light in it. Now, that
- 1:05:34Speaker 19: might be big in Atlanta, but the average daddy don't

- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Okay.

- 1:06:58Speaker 19: lot of them. Yeah, you don't save money on that,
- 1:07:02Speaker 19: but he don't want it. To tell you what Daddy
- 1:07:05Speaker 19: really won't what he won't Daddy? Won't these nuts go

- 1:09:44Speaker 19: I lived in Columbia, which meant you had to catch
- 1:09:47Speaker 19: the bus to go across the bridge. The last bus
- 1:09:50Speaker 19: would leave at ten o'clock. I got out for ten thirty,
- 1:09:53Speaker 19: and you had to dress like a cowboy, like a
- 1:09:57Speaker 19: real cowboy.
- 1:10:01Speaker 14: Hey.
- 1:10:02Speaker 19: You had to wear the cowboy shirt with the scarf
- 1:10:07Speaker 19: around the neck that the cowboy had. And you didn't
- 1:10:11Speaker 19: have to wear boots, but if you had boots yet,
- 1:10:13Speaker 19: but you had to wear jeans. Now that meant I
- 1:10:16Speaker 19: had to walk across the bridge dressed like a cowboy
- 1:10:20Speaker 19: to catch the last buster, to catch the last.
- 1:10:25Speaker 20: When I tell you, I heard the in words so much.
- 1:10:34Speaker 19: Not only did they say it, sometimes they wouldn't even
- 1:10:37Speaker 19: go all the way to the end of the bridge.
- 1:10:39Speaker 19: They turned around and come back and call me the
- 1:10:43Speaker 19: inward that in word cowboys.
- 1:10:46Speaker 20: What I remember mostly.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Traumatizing cowboy.
- 1:11:01Speaker 8: I have a little.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I was too dumb.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: I was too dumb to change clothes. I kept it on.
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: All right, You've had so many jobs.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: When I ain't that one right there?
- 1:11:23Speaker 10: Summer job.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Well, I mean my first job, my very first job
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: was I diated myself. I was an entrepreneur.
- 1:11:31Speaker 9: I bought a red fly wagon with the gates on it,
- 1:11:34Speaker 9: with the red with the red sides on it. And
- 1:11:37Speaker 9: I didn't allow my friends. Yeah you know, wasn't no
- 1:11:40Speaker 9: riding in my wagon, pull it up down the street
- 1:11:42Speaker 9: and all that. What you couldn't do that this will
- 1:11:45Speaker 9: work wagon. I just woke up in the morning and
- 1:11:50Speaker 9: left my house about nine. How are you probably eight?
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: N I left. I left that house about eight nine.
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: Taty drugged my wagon looking for pop bottles, and I
- 1:12:08Speaker 9: put a pop bottle in my wagon because you could
- 1:12:10Speaker 9: turn in pop bottles for two cents, and my goal
- 1:12:13Speaker 9: was to find fifty pop bottles before I went home
- 1:12:16Speaker 9: for lunch, and that was a dollar. And then when
- 1:12:20Speaker 9: I got through, I get back out there with my wagon.
- 1:12:22Speaker 9: I play a little bit, but I dragged my wagon
- 1:12:25Speaker 9: and I tried to make another dollar after lunch, and
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: then that was my day.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: I'm making two dollars a day.

- 1:16:40Speaker 2: Well they need a sauce on it or something. But
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: it ain't great.
- 1:16:46Speaker 10: I don't cook, like what about you, nephew.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with the kids, but I don't have
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: in laws, so I'd have to go to the kids.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: I know. I'm used to the kids. I can have
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: them all day.
- 1:16:59Speaker 12: I know how to preoccupied her last one?
- 1:17:03Speaker 11: Would you rather be rich and alone? Rich and alone
- 1:17:08Speaker 11: or poor with true love your soulmate? A Hey, I'm
- 1:17:14Speaker 11: going with rich her time.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: Rich and alone. You won't know it, but I had
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: many people over this seat. Rich and alone. That's a
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: beautiful thing. Or she might not stay well for two
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: hours though.
- 1:17:33Speaker 10: All right, that's today's round of would you rather?
- 1:17:36Speaker 11: Coming up at forty nine minutes after be our we'll
- 1:17:38Speaker 11: close out the show and we'll have our last break
- 1:17:40Speaker 11: right after this.
- 1:17:41Speaker 10: You're listening Morning show. All right, Steve, here we are
- 1:17:46Speaker 10: last break of the day on this Tuesday. You have
- 1:17:49Speaker 10: some closing remarks for us.
- 1:17:51Speaker 17: I know you do.
- 1:17:52Speaker 9: Yeah, I've been talking to you all a few times
- 1:17:57Speaker 9: about this thing that I've started doing and every morning,
- 1:18:00Speaker 9: this morning meditation. It's a series of things I do.
- 1:18:05Speaker 9: You don't have to do it, man, everybody has to
- 1:18:07Speaker 9: pick their own way to go about it. I just
- 1:18:11Speaker 9: decided because of a scripture that I read Psalms five
- 1:18:16Speaker 9: and three and Psalms five and three it just talks
- 1:18:22Speaker 9: about in the morning. It just talk about when you
- 1:18:24Speaker 9: talk to God in the morning, you're asking him to
- 1:18:27Speaker 9: hear your voice. And then after you ask him to
- 1:18:32Speaker 9: hear your voice of everything you pray and talk to
- 1:18:34Speaker 9: him about asking to show gratitude. You wait in expectation
- 1:18:39Speaker 9: of all these things to happen in your life.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: You know nothing.
- 1:18:42Speaker 9: Look, everything you ask are not gonna happen today. But
- 1:18:45Speaker 9: you spend your day in expectation that God is going
- 1:18:49Speaker 9: to do something to move you closer to your goals,
- 1:18:52Speaker 9: your dreams, your visions, and especially to Him. But what
- 1:18:56Speaker 9: I have learned about this morning meditation and it has
- 1:18:59Speaker 9: bought about a peace in my life that I've never
- 1:19:02Speaker 9: had before. I'm just sharing it with everybody because I'd
- 1:19:05Speaker 9: like for you all to try it. Look, they got
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: these daily inspiration books all over the place. The one
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: I got is called Enjoying Peace in His Presence by
- 1:19:18Speaker 9: Sarah Young. It's just a three hundred and sixty five
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: day devotion, or you can pick anyone you want.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: You know how.
- 1:19:24Speaker 9: They have a little message of the day and then
- 1:19:27Speaker 9: they back it up with a couple of scriptures. And look, man,
- 1:19:30Speaker 9: I'm not being religious with you at all, because your
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: faith doesn't matter to me. I'm just talking about a method,
- 1:19:38Speaker 9: this morning meditation, and what I do is what it
- 1:19:42Speaker 9: does is is after I get through meditating and say
- 1:19:45Speaker 9: the Lord's Prayer, and I read my little daily daily inspiration.
- 1:19:51Speaker 9: I got a Bible app and I do my verse
- 1:19:54Speaker 9: of the day, and then I go look it up
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: in the Bible, and I look it up in a
- 1:19:57Speaker 9: New Living Testament so I can understand the real words.
- 1:20:01Speaker 9: And before I close out, I pull out my list
- 1:20:03Speaker 9: of everything that I'm thanking God for, which is a
- 1:20:06Speaker 9: full sheet of paper. And then I have a second
- 1:20:09Speaker 9: sheet of paper that stuff I'm asking God for, which
- 1:20:12Speaker 9: is another full sheet of paper. What I've learned in
- 1:20:16Speaker 9: this meditation is that it has given me a piece
- 1:20:22Speaker 9: that has transcended my intellect.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: And what I mean by that is what I've discovered.
- 1:20:28Speaker 9: What's happening to me and it might be happening to
- 1:20:30Speaker 9: a lot of you, is when most of your mental
- 1:20:32Speaker 9: energy goes into trying to figure everything out, which I
- 1:20:37Speaker 9: can't tell you how much of my morning I used
- 1:20:39Speaker 9: to wake up in the morning and began to figure
- 1:20:43Speaker 9: every try to figure everything out. When you're trying to
- 1:20:48Speaker 9: figure it out, the peace that God can really give you,
- 1:20:53Speaker 9: you're not capable of receiving that because you in the
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: way with your mindset. See you so busy trying to
- 1:21:00Speaker 9: figure it out that you don't leave room for God,
- 1:21:05Speaker 9: and what God does. God kind of looks in your
- 1:21:08Speaker 9: head and probably looking at all these thoughts spinning around
- 1:21:12Speaker 9: and around and going nowhere and accomplishing nothing, and all
- 1:21:15Speaker 9: the while, this piece that He has for me had
- 1:21:18Speaker 9: been kind of hovering over my head, searching for a
- 1:21:22Speaker 9: place to land. But I wasn't given his peace a
- 1:21:25Speaker 9: place to land in my head because I had it
- 1:21:28Speaker 9: so jumbled up with thoughts of how to figure it out,
- 1:21:33Speaker 9: what I'm gonna do, who should I call, what should
- 1:21:35Speaker 9: I say? How do I respond? And for the past
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: month I've stopped doing that. All of a sudden, it
- 1:21:41Speaker 9: just gave me an incredible peace that he had been
- 1:21:44Speaker 9: trying to give to me for years. I wish I
- 1:21:47Speaker 9: had learned this a long time ago, but maybe it
- 1:21:50Speaker 9: can help you out the way it has helped me.
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: But I guess we all learned stuff as we go along.
- 1:21:55Speaker 9: You know, we are all slowly becoming the person that
- 1:21:58Speaker 9: we should have been a long time goal. I also
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: learned of late that it takes your entire life to
- 1:22:06Speaker 9: find out everything there is to find out about yourself
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: to be who.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: You really are. It takes your entire life.
- 1:22:13Speaker 9: This person that I become has become a person more
- 1:22:16Speaker 9: at peace as all the controversy and things swoil around me.
- 1:22:21Speaker 9: God has given me a real calmness in the eye
- 1:22:24Speaker 9: of the hurricane. And we all can be the center
- 1:22:27Speaker 9: of the hurricane if we just refuse to step out
- 1:22:30Speaker 9: and to swirl us around us. And it's all around us.
- 1:22:33Speaker 9: It's relative to who you are. Some swels appear bigger
- 1:22:37Speaker 9: than other swirls because of the level you've reached in life.
- 1:22:42Speaker 9: Some people might look over there and go, man, that
- 1:22:44Speaker 9: ain't nothing, But in they world, it could be everything.
- 1:22:49Speaker 9: It could be monumentous.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: So who am I?
- 1:22:52Speaker 9: Because it's all relative as to where we are. You know,
- 1:22:55Speaker 9: we all got our different crosses to bear. But the
- 1:22:57Speaker 9: one thing I've learned about this morning meditation, and it
- 1:23:00Speaker 9: has given me a peace beyond my intellect, and it
- 1:23:04Speaker 9: has caused me to just have a calmness that I
- 1:23:09Speaker 9: haven't had in a long time. And I don't have
- 1:23:12Speaker 9: to respond to everything. Because everything that somebody's saying about you,
- 1:23:17Speaker 9: and everything that somebody's doing towards you, that's meant for evil.
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: That ain't your business. And don't make it yours. Don't
- 1:23:25Speaker 9: even worry about it. Those people have no idea that
- 1:23:30Speaker 9: God's weighs are as high above the earth as the heavens.
- 1:23:35Speaker 9: They have no idea. They just operating in their own
- 1:23:39Speaker 9: little cocoon, thinking they staring up something because they got
- 1:23:43Speaker 9: some likes or something like that. Hey, y'all, don't get
- 1:23:46Speaker 9: in that. Don't worry about ten people. If you love
- 1:23:49Speaker 9: God and you a child of his, He's working on
- 1:23:53Speaker 9: your behalf even when it looks like it's a mess
- 1:23:56Speaker 9: out there. All you got to do is stay at
- 1:23:59Speaker 9: the eye of the hurricane. Don't get in the swirl,
- 1:24:03Speaker 9: don't go out there. If you stay centered in Him,
- 1:24:06Speaker 9: he'll give you a piece that transcends all your intellect.
- 1:24:10Speaker 9: That's what the morning meditation has done for me. I
- 1:24:13Speaker 9: would invite you all to try it yourself. All right,
- 1:24:16Speaker 9: that's it today. Those are my closing remarks. Enjoy your day, listen,
- 1:24:21Speaker 9: talk to God today. He would absolutely love to hear
- 1:24:25Speaker 9: from you.
