- 0:00Speaker 1: Can we reform SNAP?
- 0:02Speaker 2: Yeah, the people you really need them. It's meant for people.
- 0:06Speaker 3: And you know what it does is it really puts
- 0:08Speaker 3: the comfort in the country a jeopardy.
- 0:10Speaker 2: People that need it have to get it. I'm all
- 0:12Speaker 2: for it. But people that are able bodied can do
- 0:15Speaker 2: a job, they leave their job because they figure they
- 0:17Speaker 2: can pick this up it's easier. That's not the purpose
- 0:20Speaker 2: of it.
- 0:21Speaker 4: If you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with
- 0:24Speaker 4: Ben ferguson.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Good Friday morning, nice have you with us on the
- 0:27Speaker 5: forty seven Morning Update.
- 0:28Speaker 6: We've got two big stories for you.
- 0:30Speaker 5: First up, one of the byproducts of the government shutdown
- 0:33Speaker 5: is a full on civil war within the Democratic Party,
- 0:37Speaker 5: and the leaders of the Democratic Party may be out
- 0:39Speaker 5: of a job soon.
- 0:40Speaker 6: I'll explain that in just a moment.
- 0:43Speaker 5: Also, in a shocking report, one hundred and eighty six
- 0:48Speaker 5: thousand dead people are receiving SNAP benefits in this country
- 0:54Speaker 5: and you're paying for it, and there may be more
- 0:57Speaker 5: that need to be added to that list. I'll give
- 1:00Speaker 5: you those details, but first I want to tell you
- 1:02Speaker 5: about our friends over at Patriot Mobile. Every so often,
- 1:05Speaker 5: something happens that reminds us just how fragile our freedoms are.
- 1:09Speaker 5: We can't afford to take our rights for granted. We
- 1:12Speaker 5: must draw a line in the sand, and our friends
- 1:15Speaker 5: at Patriot Mobile have been doing just that for more
- 1:18Speaker 5: than twelve years. The truth is there is only one
- 1:22Speaker 5: provider that boldly stands in the gap for Americans who
- 1:25Speaker 5: believe freedom is we're fighting for, and that company is
- 1:28Speaker 5: Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading the red economy,
- 1:32Speaker 5: they're also outpacing the competition and technology. Patriot Mobile is
- 1:37Speaker 5: one of the only carriers offering premium access to all
- 1:42Speaker 5: three major US networks, giving you nationwide coverage and service
- 1:46Speaker 5: that you can count on day after day. They also
- 1:50Speaker 5: offer unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, internet backup,
- 1:55Speaker 5: and so much more. And switching has never been easier.
- 1:59Speaker 5: You can activate in minutes on your phone from your
- 2:02Speaker 5: home or your office, and you keep your same number.
- 2:05Speaker 5: You've got now keep your same phone, or upgrade to
- 2:07Speaker 5: a new one. And this is where the magic happens.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Every month, about five percent of your bill is given
- 2:13Speaker 5: back to conservative causes at no extra cost to you,
- 2:17Speaker 5: that stand up for our First and our Second Amendment rights,
- 2:20Speaker 5: the rights of unborn children, and are wounded warriors and
- 2:24Speaker 5: those that have fought for a country and wear a badge.
- 2:27Speaker 6: So take a stand today.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Go to Patriotmobile dot com slash Ben forty seven or
- 2:35Speaker 5: call ninety seven to two Patriot and if you use
- 2:38Speaker 5: the promo code Ben forty seven, you're gonna get a
- 2:42Speaker 5: free month of service. That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash
- 2:47Speaker 5: Ben forty seven or nine seven to two Patriot and
- 2:52Speaker 5: make the switch today. It's the forty seven Morning Update
- 2:56Speaker 5: and it starts right now story number one with a guy.
- 3:00Speaker 6: Shut down finally over.
- 3:01Speaker 5: We're now seeing the carnage of what happened in this
- 3:05Speaker 5: country during the longest government shut down in history. And
- 3:10Speaker 5: there's a very good chance there could be another shutdown
- 3:13Speaker 5: coming in early next year. Why because the radical left
- 3:18Speaker 5: has taken over the Democratic Party, which brings us to
- 3:21Speaker 5: a big takeaway of the government shutdown. And that is
- 3:25Speaker 5: the civil war that is taking place right now. AOC
- 3:29Speaker 5: and the Progressives are now turning on Chuck Schumer and
- 3:33Speaker 5: Nancy Pelosi. It is an unprecedented moment of civil war
- 3:38Speaker 5: for the Democratic Party.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Now. Chuck Schumer has.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Been an establishment elitist liberal from New York for decades
- 3:46Speaker 5: He is now coming under growing fire after his handling
- 3:50Speaker 5: of the recent government shutdown negotiations, even though he voted
- 3:53Speaker 5: against opening the government back up. Now, in particular, the
- 3:57Speaker 5: fact that a bipartison group of eight Senate Democrats voted
- 4:01Speaker 5: to reopen the government without securing key Democrat demands healthcare
- 4:06Speaker 5: substies for Obamacare that's out of control and unaffordable. That
- 4:10Speaker 5: is now the flashpoint for the radical left now. The
- 4:14Speaker 5: vote is seen by many progressive Democrats, you know, the socialists,
- 4:19Speaker 5: Communists and Marxists of the Democratic Party and grassroots groups
- 4:24Speaker 5: as capitulation to Republicans and Donald Trump. Many now say
- 4:29Speaker 5: they phil Schumer did not use the leverage his caucus had,
- 4:33Speaker 5: and then his signals are signals of weakness. AOC publicly
- 4:39Speaker 5: now questioning whether Schumer should remain in his role as
- 4:42Speaker 5: leader of the Senate, pointing to broader structural issues in
- 4:45Speaker 5: the Democratic Party. Other House Democrats Rocanna or she to Leeb,
- 4:51Speaker 5: and even state leaders like Gavin Newsom and Governor of
- 4:54Speaker 5: New York Kathyochel have also now voiced discontent with the
- 5:00Speaker 5: extreme leftist Chuck Schumer.
- 5:02Speaker 6: You can't make it up now.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Despite the pressure, Schumer has refused to step down, insisting
- 5:07Speaker 5: he made the tough call for the country and the party.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Now.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Several currents are driving this internal revolt. Perceived lack of
- 5:16Speaker 5: a fight is number one. For many Democratic donors and
- 5:20Speaker 5: many younger and more progressive Democrats. The movement demands what well,
- 5:25Speaker 5: aggressive opposition, including violence against Donald Trump and any Republican
- 5:29Speaker 5: that gets in their way. The same people that celebrated
- 5:32Speaker 5: the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and celebrate the literal
- 5:36Speaker 5: assassination of Charlie Kirk. Schumer's strategy is being viewed as
- 5:41Speaker 5: quote too cautious or deferential by many of the radical leftists.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Organizational fatigue is another thing that's been quoted by Democratic insiders,
- 5:52Speaker 5: saying the Democratic base is just well frustrated with the
- 5:55Speaker 5: messaging that emphasizes tradition processing by partisanship over radical bold wins.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Schumer's leadership style, they say, is well long overdue, long
- 6:06Speaker 5: tenure institutional relationships, and just not a good framework for
- 6:10Speaker 5: the Marxists and socialists that have taken over the party now.
- 6:14Speaker 5: The shutdown fight was a leverage movement, they say, and
- 6:17Speaker 5: many believe that Chuck Schumer and his caucus could have
- 6:20Speaker 5: extracted more from Republicans, but quote did not, which means
- 6:26Speaker 5: it's time for him to go. So what is the
- 6:28Speaker 5: status and what is the challenge to Chuck Schumer? Well,
- 6:32Speaker 5: at present, there's no formal motion in the Senate Caucus
- 6:35Speaker 5: to force Schumer to be out. Leadership changes typically come
- 6:39Speaker 5: via internal elections or a caucus vote, and we haven't
- 6:43Speaker 5: seen that yet. Now the pressure is clearly more public
- 6:48Speaker 5: and more signaling of what can come in the days
- 6:50Speaker 5: and weeks ahead. Progressive groups are going to war and
- 6:54Speaker 5: even some members of Congress are now calling openly for
- 6:57Speaker 5: total new leadership. This as Nancy Pelosi has announced that
- 7:02Speaker 5: she will not seek reelection as well. Schumer's refusal, they
- 7:06Speaker 5: say to step down means well, the default remains him
- 7:10Speaker 5: in the role as leader of the Democratic Party unless
- 7:13Speaker 5: the size of a block of Senate Democrats moved to
- 7:15Speaker 5: replace him. The coming months, they're gonna matter. And the
- 7:19Speaker 5: big question is will Chuck Schumer force a government shutdown
- 7:22Speaker 5: yet again come January? There are many Democrats that are saying,
- 7:26Speaker 5: we're willing to let you go to January, but if
- 7:29Speaker 5: you don't do it again and do a better job,
- 7:32Speaker 5: then we're done with you. And that may be one
- 7:35Speaker 5: of the silver linings of this government shutdown is we
- 7:38Speaker 5: are now witnessing a full blown civil war within the
- 7:42Speaker 5: Democratic Party. AOC, by the way, may have been the
- 7:45Speaker 5: only Democratic winner from the government shut down, raising her
- 7:49Speaker 5: name recognition and making it clear there's a very good
- 7:53Speaker 5: chance she could be the next Senator from New York,
- 7:56Speaker 5: going after Chuck Schumer's seat as.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Well as lee leadership role.
- 8:01Speaker 5: And that is what you can take away from the
- 8:03Speaker 5: government shut down.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Now story number two.
- 8:06Speaker 5: There may be some good that actually came out of
- 8:09Speaker 5: the government shut down. Supplemental nutrition assistance program known as
- 8:15Speaker 5: food stamps to everyday Americans, but we change the name
- 8:18Speaker 5: to make it more PC and call it SNAP benefits
- 8:21Speaker 5: are now being exposed for being rife with massive amounts
- 8:25Speaker 5: of fraud and abuse.
- 8:28Speaker 6: How do we know this?
- 8:29Speaker 5: The Agricultural Secretary Brook Rollins is now telling the world
- 8:33Speaker 5: what they've found. Rowins discussed the SNAP data the US
- 8:37Speaker 5: Department of Agriculture received from twenty nine states, mostly Red states.
- 8:43Speaker 5: The Secretary said that one hundred and eighty six thousand
- 8:46Speaker 5: deceased men and women and children in this country are
- 8:49Speaker 5: receiving a check.
- 8:51Speaker 6: Let me say that.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Again, one hundred and eighty seven thousand dead men and
- 8:57Speaker 5: women and children in this kind are receiving food stamps. Now,
- 9:03Speaker 5: that is what we're really going to start clamping down on.
- 9:06Speaker 5: She went on to say. Rowins also said a half
- 9:09Speaker 5: a million people are receiving two snap payments. But here's
- 9:15Speaker 5: the really stunning thing. This is just data from those
- 9:19Speaker 5: twenty nine mostly red states, meaning there's even more fraud
- 9:24Speaker 5: and abuse in liberal states. I want you to hear
- 9:28Speaker 5: more of what she had to say as she talked
- 9:31Speaker 5: to Laura Ingram on Fox News Channel Here.
- 9:34Speaker 1: To discuss Agriculture Secretary brook Rollins, Madame Secretary, great to
- 9:38Speaker 1: see you tonight. So we know the administration is trying
- 9:41Speaker 1: to bust a lot of these groups involved in this abuse,
- 9:47Speaker 1: but how do we stop this before it starts? So
- 9:50Speaker 1: they can't even get as far as they get in
- 9:52Speaker 1: these schemes.
- 9:53Speaker 3: It's overwhelming, it's pretty remarkable. And let me level set
- 9:57Speaker 3: us for just a minute. It is so great to
- 9:58Speaker 3: be on and talk about this, and it's funny. I think, ohile,
- 10:00Speaker 3: funny is probably not the right word, but I do
- 10:02Speaker 3: think what the Democrats did not include in their calculation
- 10:05Speaker 3: and their insane government shut down was the fact that
- 10:08Speaker 3: this spotlight was going to be shined upon one of
- 10:11Speaker 3: their favorite government welfare programs that under Joe Biden increased
- 10:16Speaker 3: forty percent. Where all that money went trying to buy elections.
- 10:20Speaker 3: We're not one hundred percent sure, but we're rolling it
- 10:22Speaker 3: back now. On day one, back in February, for me,
- 10:25Speaker 3: we sent a letter to every governor saying, send us
- 10:28Speaker 3: your snap data. All of this money that the federal government,
- 10:31Speaker 3: the taxpayers are paying for food stamps, we don't even
- 10:34Speaker 3: know where it goes, what happens, what they're doing with it.
- 10:37Speaker 2: And we said no more.
- 10:39Speaker 3: So twenty nine states complied and twenty other twenty plus
- 10:42Speaker 3: others did not, and we're suing.
- 10:44Speaker 2: We're in a litigation right now.
- 10:45Speaker 3: But of the twenty nine that complied, what we have
- 10:48Speaker 3: found is staggering half a million people getting benefits two
- 10:52Speaker 3: times under the same name, five thousand dead people. Eighty
- 10:57Speaker 3: percent of the able bodied Americans, meaning they can work,
- 11:01Speaker 3: they don't have small children at home, they're not taking
- 11:03Speaker 3: care of an elderly parent.
- 11:04Speaker 2: They can work, and.
- 11:05Speaker 3: They choose not to work, of course, because they're getting
- 11:08Speaker 3: significant benefits from the taxpayer. So this light Laura that
- 11:12Speaker 3: has now been shined on what is perhaps one of
- 11:15Speaker 3: the most corrupt, dysfunctional programs in American history.
- 11:18Speaker 2: That we are working now, very.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Big announcements coming next week on this. We are cracking down.
- 11:24Speaker 3: We now have a plan to fix it, and we're
- 11:27Speaker 3: really really excited about doing that for the American people.
- 11:30Speaker 1: So this has been going on for many years. I mean,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I think I covered this on the radio fifteen years ago,
- 11:36Speaker 1: but recently one woman admitted on national television this was
- 11:41Speaker 1: back a couple of years ago.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Watch its Wings was buying stamps and buying what buying food.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Stamp She was buying food stamps from whom from everybody me,
- 11:52Speaker 2: including I buy food, I give them away. I'm just
- 11:55Speaker 2: a person that helps everybody.
- 11:57Speaker 1: This is routine people. Just one woman last week I
- 12:00Speaker 1: was watching on YouTube said well, I get twenty five
- 12:03Speaker 1: hundred dollars and I sell eighteen hundred dollars of those
- 12:06Speaker 1: food stamps. I use the rest for me.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. It's staggering and so discouraging.
- 12:12Speaker 3: You know, if you're a taxpayer and you're working hard
- 12:15Speaker 3: every day and you're paying your taxpayer, you're paying your
- 12:18Speaker 3: taxes and then you look and you see these stories
- 12:20Speaker 3: of this fraud of people charging more than once that
- 12:24Speaker 3: we found one guy in six states who was collecting
- 12:27Speaker 3: in six different states under the same number. But again,
- 12:30Speaker 3: if we hadn't asked for this data. And by the way, Laura,
- 12:32Speaker 3: these are the red states that turn their data over.
- 12:35Speaker 3: It is the blue states we're still trying to get
- 12:37Speaker 3: data on. Can you imagine if this fraud is happening
- 12:40Speaker 3: in the red states, what's happening in the.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Blue Sport state hiding well, hiding again. I think they're
- 12:45Speaker 2: buying their votes.
- 12:46Speaker 3: They're trying to push as much of our taxpayer dollars
- 12:48Speaker 3: into certain segments of the society in order to say, hey,
- 12:51Speaker 3: we're here to help you. We're going to give you
- 12:53Speaker 3: a lot of free stuff. Depends so vote for us,
- 12:55Speaker 3: and it's dependency. Under President Trump, more jobs better, the
- 13:00Speaker 3: economy is growing, we've got better take home pay for
- 13:03Speaker 3: the first time in at least four years. Maybe more
- 13:05Speaker 3: costs are coming down, and now it's time to get
- 13:08Speaker 3: serious about these government programs move people from welfare to
- 13:11Speaker 3: work and fundamentally change the trajectory of this country.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Yet again, another government program that is filled with this
- 13:19Speaker 5: level of corruption. The Agriculture Secretary warning that taxpayer dollars
- 13:24Speaker 5: are being wasted at a level that you can't even imagine,
- 13:28Speaker 5: and the numbers are getting worse as they're going through
- 13:32Speaker 5: the data. What this means is there is a system
- 13:35Speaker 5: that is broken. Democrats want to protect this system, and
- 13:38Speaker 5: they want to protect the abusers of the system because this,
- 13:42Speaker 5: they believe is giving them some sort of political power.
- 13:45Speaker 5: They are in essence, buying votes. Having Americans dependent on
- 13:50Speaker 5: them for their food stamps gives them power, gives them stability,
- 13:56Speaker 5: and gives them election victories. This is not about act
- 14:00Speaker 5: actually pulling people out of poverty. You notice, that's what
- 14:03Speaker 5: this is actually all about. And it brings me back
- 14:06Speaker 5: to twenty sixteen when Democrats were infuriated by what Donald
- 14:11Speaker 5: Trump was doing. Donald Trump was empowering African American men, women,
- 14:16Speaker 5: Native Americans, Asian Americans, and Latino Americans to get out
- 14:21Speaker 5: of poverty. Donald Trump saw the world differently, and he said,
- 14:25Speaker 5: I don't want you living in poverty in the government.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Paying your bills. I want you to live out of.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Poverty and be empowered to take care of yourself and
- 14:33Speaker 5: to thrive. And that is exactly what happened. Donald Trump
- 14:36Speaker 5: oversaw the lowest unemployment rate in history among African American men, women,
- 14:41Speaker 5: and Hispanics in this country, also Asian Americans and Native Americans,
- 14:47Speaker 5: which goes back to the big question. Why are Democrats
- 14:51Speaker 5: so hell bent on protecting a corrupt system? It is
- 14:54Speaker 5: simple that system is designed for one purpose, for the
- 14:59Speaker 5: Democrats to count votes, to buy votes, to bribe people
- 15:03Speaker 5: into supporting them and convincing people that they cannot make
- 15:07Speaker 5: it without the Democratic Party. It's an abusive relationship. And
- 15:12Speaker 5: now we're seeing just how much of our tax dollars
- 15:15Speaker 5: we're going to keep this system alive to buy those
- 15:19Speaker 5: votes of Americans. They're being left behind on purpose by
- 15:24Speaker 5: the Democratic Party.
