- 0:00Speaker 1: A special counsel. It's official will now be investigating Donald Trump.
- 0:05Speaker 1: This after just two days ago, Republicans announced that they
- 0:10Speaker 1: would be investigating Joe Biden and the Biden crime family.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And what did Joe Biden say in response? Watch this?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Joe Biden is completely weaponized the Department of Justice now
- 0:24Speaker 1: to officially attack is a political opponent. Three days ago,
- 0:30Speaker 1: Trump announced that he was running for president, and now
- 0:34Speaker 1: we have a special counsel. You want to know what
- 0:38Speaker 1: Trump de arrangement syndrome looks like? This is it? Eric
- 0:42Speaker 1: Trump put it this way when he sent out a
- 0:44Speaker 1: tweet saying, interesting that just two days ago, the day
- 0:48Speaker 1: after my father announced his president to run, and a
- 0:52Speaker 1: day after the House launches investigations to the Biden family corruption,
- 0:56Speaker 1: Biden in parentheses, his likely challenger announce as a special
- 1:01Speaker 1: counsel to prosecute him. Referring to his father, Eric Trump says,
- 1:06Speaker 1: this is communism, but I'm sure this wasn't planned. American
- 1:11Speaker 1: political corruption at its finest. This right after Nancy Pelosi
- 1:18Speaker 1: decides to step down, and you have to wonder how
- 1:21Speaker 1: much was she involved in this parting gift. Now the
- 1:24Speaker 1: Attorney General Garland announce this new special counsel to investigate Trump,
- 1:28Speaker 1: not to investigate the president of the United States of America,
- 1:32Speaker 1: or to investigate the president's son and their business dealings
- 1:36Speaker 1: with all of the corruption that we heard from the
- 1:40Speaker 1: Republicans and the evidence against him. No, no, no, we
- 1:43Speaker 1: wouldn't do that, would we Instead what we will do,
- 1:48Speaker 1: And it's very clear this is the future of the
- 1:51Speaker 1: Republican or excuse me, the future of the Democratic Party.
- 1:55Speaker 1: They want to lock up their political opponents and they're
- 1:58Speaker 1: using the government to do it. Merrick Garland is officially
- 2:02Speaker 1: named a special counsel, as there is still no special
- 2:06Speaker 1: counsel on the Hunter Biden corruption. Here is what Merrick Garland,
- 2:12Speaker 1: the Attorney General, had to say about this special council appointment.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Clearly revenge. The Department of Justice has long recognized that
- 2:21Speaker 1: in certain extraordinary cases, it is in the public interest
- 2:25Speaker 1: to appoint a special prosecutor to independently manage an investigation
- 2:29Speaker 1: and prosecution. Based on recent developments, including the former president's
- 2:35Speaker 1: announcement that he is a candidate for president in the
- 2:38Speaker 1: next election and the sitting president stated intention to be
- 2:42Speaker 1: a candidate as well, I have concluded that it is
- 2:45Speaker 1: in the public interest to appoint a special council such
- 2:50Speaker 1: an appointment. Let's just stop there. So the president decides
- 2:55Speaker 1: to run, and therefore you decide that you're going to
- 3:00Speaker 1: a point a special prosecutor. Because he decided to run,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and because your boss is going to be who he's
- 3:08Speaker 1: running against, and because you've lost the House, this is
- 3:12Speaker 1: now an important moment you think for a special counsel
- 3:17Speaker 1: to be named. Now we also know who the guy
- 3:20Speaker 1: is who's a special counsel. He talks about that, and
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm going to get into that for a minute in
- 3:24Speaker 1: a minute, but I wanted you to hear the crutch
- 3:26Speaker 1: of the timing of this. And he's basically saying, well,
- 3:29Speaker 1: since Donald Trump has decided, after the American people in
- 3:33Speaker 1: his opinion right voted him out, since he has decided
- 3:38Speaker 1: to run again, we must step in and we must
- 3:41Speaker 1: stop him. That's what he's telling you. That's what he's
- 3:45Speaker 1: saying here. It's that we must step in and we
- 3:49Speaker 1: must hold him accountable. Really, that's how we're going to
- 3:54Speaker 1: do this. Now. Apparently, folks, apparently, now I'll let you
- 4:01Speaker 1: hear in its entiretyam, because I want you to hear
- 4:04Speaker 1: the entire announcement. But I wanted to play for you
- 4:07Speaker 1: that point that we pulled out there, because that's the
- 4:10Speaker 1: mindset you need to understand as you hear this announcement.
- 4:13Speaker 1: This is an attorney general saying, how dare you run
- 4:16Speaker 1: for president again? And since you decide to do that,
- 4:18Speaker 1: we will bury you and make sure that you cannot
- 4:22Speaker 1: get elected to be president again. We're going to bury
- 4:24Speaker 1: you with a special counsel. Good afternoon. I'm here today
- 4:29Speaker 1: to announce the appointment of a special council in connection
- 4:32Speaker 1: with two ongoing criminal investigations that have received significant public attention.
- 4:38Speaker 1: The first, as ascribed in court filings in the District
- 4:41Speaker 1: of Columbia, is the investigation into whether any person or
- 4:46Speaker 1: entity unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power following the
- 4:51Speaker 1: twenty twenty presidential election or the certification of the Electoral
- 4:55Speaker 1: College vote held honor about January six, twenty twenty one.
- 5:00Speaker 1: The second is the ongoing investigation involving classified documents and
- 5:05Speaker 1: other presidential records, as well as the possible obstruction of
- 5:09Speaker 1: that investigation, referenced and described in court filings an appending
- 5:13Speaker 1: matter in the Southern District of Florida. I am joined
- 5:17Speaker 1: today by Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, US Attorney for
- 5:21Speaker 1: the District of Columbia, Matthew Graves, an Assistant Attorney General
- 5:25Speaker 1: for the Criminal Vision, Kenneth Polyte, Assistant Attorney General for
- 5:29Speaker 1: National Security. Matthew Olsen could not be here. He is
- 5:33Speaker 1: currently in Germany representing the Department at the G seven
- 5:37Speaker 1: Home Affairs and Security Ministerial. US Attorney Graves has been
- 5:42Speaker 1: ably leading the investigations into the events leading up to
- 5:45Speaker 1: and on January sixth. He and dozens of assistant US
- 5:50Speaker 1: Attorneys and other prosecutors have taken on the monumental task
- 5:55Speaker 1: of conducting over nine hundred prosecutions in defense of our
- 6:00Speaker 1: democratic institutions. Criminal Division prosecutors, under the able leadership of
- 6:05Speaker 1: Assistant Attorney General Polite, have played a significant role in
- 6:08Speaker 1: those prosecutions. Assistant Attorney General Olson has been ably leading
- 6:13Speaker 1: the team responsible for investigating the matter involving classified documents
- 6:17Speaker 1: and other presidential records, as well as the possible obstruction
- 6:21Speaker 1: of that investigation. All of the career prosecutors assigned to
- 6:25Speaker 1: these matters are conducting their work in the best traditions
- 6:29Speaker 1: of the Department of Justice. I also want to recognize
- 6:33Speaker 1: the efforts of the many FBI agents and other law
- 6:35Speaker 1: enforcement personnel who are assigned to these matters. They are
- 6:39Speaker 1: working courageously and steadfastly and are serving our nation honorably.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I am grateful to them. We all are. Let's be clear,
- 6:51Speaker 1: if you're investigating the former president of the United States America,
- 6:55Speaker 1: you're a patriot. You're doing God's work. You are doing
- 7:00Speaker 1: the work that is desperately needed to be done. How
- 7:04Speaker 1: about Hunter Biden and James Biden and Joe Biden. How
- 7:06Speaker 1: about the fact that you have fifty different nations that
- 7:09Speaker 1: he was trying to sell out American interest to that
- 7:12Speaker 1: could be compromising the president of the United States of
- 7:14Speaker 1: America right now, You're not going to look into that.
- 7:18Speaker 1: How about all the whistleblowers that have come forward and
- 7:21Speaker 1: said that there is a massive problem at the Department
- 7:26Speaker 1: of Justice and the FBI, that there is incredible amounts
- 7:31Speaker 1: of nefarious activities and cover ups. You're not going to
- 7:36Speaker 1: look into that either. Apparently not. We don't look into
- 7:41Speaker 1: those types of things, now, do we. No, Instead, we
- 7:46Speaker 1: decide to go after our political enemies. I dare you
- 7:50Speaker 1: to announce your running for president, Donald Trump That's what
- 7:53Speaker 1: they were saying. I dare you, I dare you go
- 7:59Speaker 1: for it? Watch what happens? Oh you did it? Okay,
- 8:04Speaker 1: Well now now it's game on. Now we're coming after
- 8:11Speaker 1: you like never before. Now we're going to make sure
- 8:16Speaker 1: that you are buried in this legal fiasco forever. And
- 8:21Speaker 1: if you think that we're gonna let you have another
- 8:24Speaker 1: legitimate shot at the White House, you're wrong. We'll never
- 8:28Speaker 1: let you have that legitimate shot at the White House.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You have better sit there and shut up and beg
- 8:34Speaker 1: for mercy. And the people that are investigating you, Donald Trump,
- 8:39Speaker 1: what are they? They're patriots. They're defending democracy. That is
- 8:44Speaker 1: the message from the Attorney General of the United States
- 8:46Speaker 1: of America. This is what communist countries do, and you're
- 8:51Speaker 1: watching it happen right here. Now here's the other thing.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If this was so important and you knew who was
- 8:56Speaker 1: going to have the job, why didn't you do it
- 8:58Speaker 1: before election day? Mister Attorney general? Why did you wait
- 9:01Speaker 1: till a couple of days after the president, former President
- 9:07Speaker 1: Donald Trump announces that he is running. I'll tell you
- 9:10Speaker 1: exactly why. Because they knew if they did it before
- 9:12Speaker 1: the election, there would be a red wave. They're not stupid.
- 9:16Speaker 1: They would know what people and how people would have
- 9:18Speaker 1: reacted if this would have happened and broke right before election,
- 9:21Speaker 1: they would have said, oh, okay, so we live in
- 9:24Speaker 1: a country that's supposed to be about the people and
- 9:26Speaker 1: now you guys have turned into a dictatorship and communist country.
- 9:31Speaker 1: That's what you're moving for. Yeah, we're going to fight
- 9:33Speaker 1: back on election day. That's why they held it, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: that's why they waited. Who have they named Jack L.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Smith's special counsel in this televised press statement. Here's more
- 9:46Speaker 1: of the announcement. Apartment of Justice has long recognized that
- 9:50Speaker 1: in certain extraordinary cases, it is in the public interest
- 9:54Speaker 1: to appoint a special prosecutor to independently manage an investigation
- 9:58Speaker 1: and prosecution. Based on recent developments, including the former president's
- 10:04Speaker 1: announcement that he is a candidate for president in the
- 10:07Speaker 1: next election and the sitting presidents stated intention to be
- 10:11Speaker 1: a candidate as well, I have concluded that it is
- 10:14Speaker 1: in the public interest to appoint a special council. Such
- 10:18Speaker 1: an appointment underscores the Department's commitment to both independence and
- 10:24Speaker 1: accountability in particularly sensitive matters. It also allows prosecutors and
- 10:30Speaker 1: agents to continue their work expeditiously and to make decisions
- 10:34Speaker 1: indisputably guided only by the facts and the law. The
- 10:40Speaker 1: Special Council will conduct parts of the first investigation I
- 10:43Speaker 1: just mentioned, the investigation into whether any person or entity
- 10:47Speaker 1: unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power following the twenty
- 10:52Speaker 1: twenty presidential election or with the certification of Electoral College
- 10:56Speaker 1: vote held to Honor about January sixth. This does not
- 11:01Speaker 1: include prosecutions that are currently pending in the District of Columbia,
- 11:04Speaker 1: or future investigations and prosecutions of individuals for offenses committed
- 11:09Speaker 1: while they were physically present on the Capitol grounds on
- 11:11Speaker 1: January sixth. Those investigations and prosecutions will remain under the
- 11:17Speaker 1: authority of the U S Attorney for the District of Columbia.
- 11:21Speaker 1: The Special Council will also conduct the investigation involving classified
- 11:25Speaker 1: documents and other presidential records, as well as the possible
- 11:29Speaker 1: obstruction of that investigation. Today I signed an order appointing
- 11:36Speaker 1: Jack Smith to serve as Special Council. The order authorizes
- 11:41Speaker 1: him to continue the ongoing investigation into both of the
- 11:44Speaker 1: matters that I have just described and to prosecute any
- 11:47Speaker 1: federal crimes that may arise from those investigations. Mister Smith
- 11:52Speaker 1: is a veteran career prosecutor. He began his prosecutorial career
- 11:57Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety four as an assistant attorney with the
- 12:00Speaker 1: New York County DA's office. In nineteen ninety nine, he
- 12:05Speaker 1: became an assistant US attorney for the Eastern District of
- 12:08Speaker 1: New York, where, over the course of nine years, he
- 12:11Speaker 1: prosecuted matters ranging from gang murders of police officers to
- 12:15Speaker 1: civil rights violations. From two thousand and eight to two ten,
- 12:19Speaker 1: he served with the International Criminal Court, where he supervised
- 12:23Speaker 1: war crimes investigations. In twenty ten, mister Smith returned to
- 12:28Speaker 1: the Justice Department to serve as Chief of the Public
- 12:31Speaker 1: Integrity Section, where he led a team of more than
- 12:34Speaker 1: thirty prosecutors who handled public corruption and election crimes cases
- 12:39Speaker 1: across the United States. I'm still in shock as I
- 12:42Speaker 1: listened to this, because you have an Attorney General, a
- 12:48Speaker 1: guy that still angries on the Supreme Court, who is
- 12:52Speaker 1: clearly taking orders from an unhinged Biden administration. You know,
- 13:01Speaker 1: all of the things they said that Donald Trump was
- 13:03Speaker 1: going to do. They was going to weaponize the DOJ,
- 13:07Speaker 1: who was going to weaponize the FBI, who was going
- 13:09Speaker 1: to weaponize the White House? He was gonna go after
- 13:11Speaker 1: his political enemies. Have you noticed that that's exactly what
- 13:14Speaker 1: the Democrats have actually been doing all along? Have you
- 13:18Speaker 1: noticed that every single thing that they said that they
- 13:21Speaker 1: were going to do, that that Trump was going to do,
- 13:24Speaker 1: is literally now what they have been doing the entire
- 13:27Speaker 1: time they've had power, and even when they didn't have power,
- 13:30Speaker 1: they were doing everything they could to undermine the president
- 13:33Speaker 1: of the United States of America. Let's never ever forget, Okay,
- 13:40Speaker 1: let's never ever forget that this White House was the
- 13:48Speaker 1: same White House that worked with Hillary Clinton, that worked
- 13:52Speaker 1: with a deep state. They worked with Nancy Pelosi to
- 13:57Speaker 1: impeache Donald Trump, not once, but twice on false pretenses,
- 14:03Speaker 1: knowing that it wasn't true. You had an FBI, a CIA,
- 14:08Speaker 1: a DOJ that all knew that the evidence being used
- 14:11Speaker 1: in peach Donald Trump the first time, and that was
- 14:14Speaker 1: being used to overthrow the will of the people who
- 14:18Speaker 1: elected Donald Trump in a free and fair election. They
- 14:22Speaker 1: were willing to overthrow a country with bad information information
- 14:29Speaker 1: they knew was created a thin air from the Democratic
- 14:32Speaker 1: National Committee, they paid for it and started Hillary Clinton's campaign.
- 14:37Speaker 1: At any point, any one of them could have stood
- 14:39Speaker 1: up and said, all this information from this Russian collusion
- 14:43Speaker 1: still dossier is total crap. We know it's crap. We've
- 14:45Speaker 1: done assessment of this. They could have leaked it to
- 14:47Speaker 1: the press. They could have said that this was crap
- 14:50Speaker 1: and it would have stopped. But they chose not to.
- 14:53Speaker 1: And now those people who are still in power, that
- 14:56Speaker 1: are still dug in at the DOJ and the FBI
- 15:02Speaker 1: are now coming back to get their revenge onhn Donald Trump,
- 15:06Speaker 1: how dare you run for president again after we got
- 15:10Speaker 1: rid of you the last time? How dare you think
- 15:13Speaker 1: that you could come back and have a free and
- 15:16Speaker 1: fair election. In fact, we're going to bury you. We
- 15:21Speaker 1: don't care about actual corruption. We don't care about what
- 15:24Speaker 1: just happened with people losing billions of dollars in the
- 15:27Speaker 1: cryptocurrency scheme that just happened where this guy just oh
- 15:31Speaker 1: so happened to be the second largest donor to the
- 15:37Speaker 1: Democratic Party in the midterm elections. We don't care about that, right,
- 15:41Speaker 1: we don't care. That's not what we care about. We
- 15:46Speaker 1: don't care about the fact that the Federman campaign lied.
- 15:51Speaker 1: His advisors are now admitting, okay, well, the Center will
- 15:53Speaker 1: not be able to answer questions in a usual way.
- 15:57Speaker 1: We don't care about the fact that the the Bankman
- 16:01Speaker 1: Freed brothers have led joint efforts to raise money for
- 16:06Speaker 1: the Democratic Party, and they donated thirty eight million to
- 16:10Speaker 1: political campaigns and groups during the midterm elections, and twenty
- 16:14Speaker 1: seven million went to a pack, a liberal pack, so
- 16:19Speaker 1: that they wouldn't have to worry about regulation. Now these
- 16:22Speaker 1: people have lost their money. This ponzi scheme that just
- 16:25Speaker 1: went down with this you know, insane cryptocurrency exchange. It
- 16:32Speaker 1: was unregulated because the Democrats are getting paid off by
- 16:36Speaker 1: these brothers, were getting paid off by the CEO. You
- 16:41Speaker 1: want to know why they let it happen, because they
- 16:42Speaker 1: don't care they were getting paid and then it collapses
- 16:46Speaker 1: and files for bankruptcy just days after the election. Democrats said,
- 16:51Speaker 1: all right, we'll let you funnel money, will let you
- 16:53Speaker 1: steal money, will let you do all these corrupt things
- 16:55Speaker 1: as long as you give us a cut. And that's
- 16:57Speaker 1: exactly what they did, and he made it till after
- 16:59Speaker 1: the election. You understand now that this is that we're
- 17:04Speaker 1: not the freest country in the world. When this type
- 17:08Speaker 1: of stuff can be pulled off, we are no longer
- 17:10Speaker 1: the freest or the greatest country in the world. This
- 17:15Speaker 1: is our government turning against the people in this country.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Think about that now. Before I get into more of
- 17:23Speaker 1: this story, I want to say thank you and tell
- 17:25Speaker 1: you about our good friends at Legacy Precious Metals. If
- 17:29Speaker 1: you're paying attention, you've seen that the stock market has
- 17:31Speaker 1: been plumbing. Many economists are predicting this is just the
- 17:35Speaker 1: beginning and we could see a market pullback well into
- 17:38Speaker 1: twenty twenty three. If that happens, you're going to see
- 17:41Speaker 1: tremendous losses in your portfolio. Many of you have already
- 17:45Speaker 1: seen those losses. That is where there's an upside with gold.
- 17:50Speaker 1: In the two thousand and eight crash when the market dipped,
- 17:52Speaker 1: gold went up. Legacy Precious Metals is the company I

- 18:41Speaker 1: Now the White House is laughing about this at this point.
- 18:45Speaker 1: They think it's actually really funny. The White House Press
- 18:48Speaker 1: Secretary acting like this is somehow independent of them, refusing,
- 18:55Speaker 1: by the way, to also say if Joe Biden was
- 18:58Speaker 1: involved in Hunter Biden's foreign business deals. After the Republicans
- 19:02Speaker 1: have said they are, they are investigating what they believe
- 19:05Speaker 1: are true crimes. Take a listen. The top Republican on
- 19:08Speaker 1: the House Oversight Committee, Congressman Comer, has said that he's
- 19:11Speaker 1: investigating the president's involvement in his son Hunter's foreign business dealings. One,
- 19:16Speaker 1: looking for your reaction to that, and then on the
- 19:19Speaker 1: merits of the allegations, can you address whether the President
- 19:22Speaker 1: was involved in any of his son, Hunter or his
- 19:25Speaker 1: brother's foreign business dealings. So look, you know, um, there's
- 19:29Speaker 1: there's some a little bit of interesting uh you know,
- 19:33Speaker 1: kind of on brand thinking here because um, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 1: Congressional Republicans ran up saying that they were going to
- 19:42Speaker 1: fight inflation. They said they were going to make that
- 19:45Speaker 1: a priority. They were very clear about that these past
- 19:48Speaker 1: several months. And instead, what they're doing is they're focusing, uh,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you know, they're focusing. They're making their type priority. They
- 19:55Speaker 1: get the majority, and their type priorities. Actually not focusing
- 19:58Speaker 1: on the American families, but fol seeing on the president's family.
- 20:01Speaker 1: They're not coming up with solutions and how we're going
- 20:03Speaker 1: to lower costs for American families. They're not coming up
- 20:07Speaker 1: with solutions. How we dealing with issues that matter the most.
- 20:11Speaker 1: There's your White House. We're not going to answer that question.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Now you want to know about this special prosecutor. Oh yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 1: we'll talk about that as well, No problem, because we're
- 20:20Speaker 1: the White House. Right, we'll give you a classic White
- 20:24Speaker 1: House answer because we think it's important that you understand.
- 20:29Speaker 1: You know, this administration we're not politicizing the DJ No,
- 20:33Speaker 1: not at all. It just happens that the guy we're
- 20:35Speaker 1: running against the president, it's going to be under investigation
- 20:38Speaker 1: the entire time. But President Trump reacted to this News
- 20:41Speaker 1: in an interview. In calling this the quote worst politicization
- 20:44Speaker 1: of justice, he said that this was an unfair and
- 20:46Speaker 1: political decision. I'm wondering if you have a response to that. Look,
- 20:50Speaker 1: I will say this, and I've said this many times before,
- 20:53Speaker 1: we do not politicize the Department of Justice. That is
- 20:56Speaker 1: something that the President said during the campaign. That is
- 20:59Speaker 1: something that the President said that in his early days
- 21:01Speaker 1: of being in the White House, and that continues to
- 21:05Speaker 1: be true. We were not involved in this particular issue.
- 21:10Speaker 1: We are not involved in Let me just say that
- 21:12Speaker 1: more broadly, we're not involving criminal investigations that are done
- 21:15Speaker 1: independently by the Department of Justice. We were not given
- 21:19Speaker 1: advanced notice. Again, I would refer you to Department of
- 21:22Speaker 1: Justice on any questions on this. But this is not
- 21:26Speaker 1: an administration that the President has been very clear that
- 21:30Speaker 1: will politicize the Department of Justice. Anybody would actually believe that,
- 21:34Speaker 1: because I don't. I don't believe that Merrick Garland decided
- 21:38Speaker 1: two days after Donald Trump announces these running two days
- 21:43Speaker 1: after that, all of a sudden, this is going to happen.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I don't believe. I don't believe for a moment that
- 21:52Speaker 1: this is what's going to happen now. Donald Trump has
- 21:54Speaker 1: made it clear what he thinks about this. We have
- 21:56Speaker 1: some breaking information that is just coming through New react
- 22:00Speaker 1: from the former president to the fact that there is
- 22:03Speaker 1: now a special counsel investigation launched by Attorney General Merrick
- 22:07Speaker 1: Garland into two cases with regard to the former president
- 22:11Speaker 1: Donald Trump. He tells Fox News that he won't partake, saying, quote,
- 22:16Speaker 1: it is not even believable that they're allowed to do this.
- 22:20Speaker 1: This is the worst politicalization of justice in our history.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Garland has appointed Jack Smith to determine if criminal charges
- 22:29Speaker 1: should be filed against the former president connection with January
- 22:32Speaker 1: sixth or the documents that were found during the raid
- 22:35Speaker 1: at Marlago. I do want to take a step back
- 22:39Speaker 1: and realize what has happened to this country because of
- 22:43Speaker 1: the Democrats. Now we have now made it where running
- 22:47Speaker 1: for president can cost you your life, can cost you
- 22:50Speaker 1: your career, can cost you financially everything. Running for president
- 22:54Speaker 1: can now have your home as a former president aided
- 23:00Speaker 1: by the FBI. That's what Democrats have done. The same
- 23:04Speaker 1: Democrats that say they want to bring us together. Remember
- 23:06Speaker 1: when there was a guy by the name of Barack
- 23:08Speaker 1: Obama ran on hope and Jane. Remember that. Now, look
- 23:12Speaker 1: at where we are Steve Scalise talking about all of this, saying,
- 23:19Speaker 1: just look at the dramatic lack of oversight, specifically of
- 23:24Speaker 1: the Biden administration. Look at the agenda of this last
- 23:30Speaker 1: mid term election. The Republicans ran on a very specific agenda,
- 23:33Speaker 1: and now look at what the Democrats are doing to
- 23:35Speaker 1: fight back. For now, House Republicans have begun plotting there
- 23:39Speaker 1: and next moves after clinching a narrow majority, including launching
- 23:42Speaker 1: probes and to President Biden and his son Hunter's business dealings.
- 23:46Speaker 1: But while there appears to be troubling evidence involving Hunter
- 23:49Speaker 1: are worth investigating, other members of the Republican Party are
- 23:52Speaker 1: urging the party to focus solely on passing legislation that
- 23:56Speaker 1: will address americans most pressing concerns. For where aheaded here,
- 24:00Speaker 1: let's bring in Louisiana Republican Congressman Steve Scalaesi is the
- 24:03Speaker 1: House Minority whip of the incoming House majority. Leader Congress.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Been good to talk to you. So the first order
- 24:09Speaker 1: of business, almost out of the gate after achieving the
- 24:13Speaker 1: majority here in the House, was that the members of
- 24:15Speaker 1: the Oversight Committee come out and said, we're going to
- 24:17Speaker 1: start launching investigations first and foremost of Joe Biden into
- 24:21Speaker 1: whether or not he benefited and knew about his son,
- 24:24Speaker 1: Hunter Biden's business dealings. Obviously, that is the job of
- 24:27Speaker 1: the Oversight Committee, But do you believe that is the
- 24:30Speaker 1: best thing for Republicans to be doing out of the
- 24:32Speaker 1: gate when you take back control. Well, John at Sandrew,
- 24:35Speaker 1: it's great to be with you. And if you go look,
- 24:37Speaker 1: we ran on a very specific agenda in this last
- 24:41Speaker 1: mid term election. We talked about getting the economy back
- 24:44Speaker 1: on track, addressing inflation, but we also talked about oversight,
- 24:48Speaker 1: robust oversight that has been lacking dramatically for the last
- 24:51Speaker 1: two years. You haven't seen any oversight into the Biden
- 24:55Speaker 1: administration's very questionable actions on so many fronts, this being
- 24:59Speaker 1: one and there's a lot of others. And we said
- 25:01Speaker 1: we would do both. You don't just do one. We're
- 25:03Speaker 1: gonna pass the policy, We're gonna have oversight, and it
- 25:06Speaker 1: can all go on at the same time, starting on
- 25:08Speaker 1: January third, and we've been making preparations and in fact,
- 25:11Speaker 1: if you saw that press conference with Jamie Comer and
- 25:14Speaker 1: his Oversight Committee. These are questions they've been asking for months,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and the Biden administration has been stonewallingham. They should have
- 25:21Speaker 1: been answering those questions months ago. But there will be
- 25:23Speaker 1: subpoena power starting in January and we'll be able to
- 25:26Speaker 1: get those answers. So it's not anything new again. We
- 25:29Speaker 1: ran on this. This was one of the top planks
- 25:31Speaker 1: in our agenda, both addressing inflation, the border crisis, so
- 25:36Speaker 1: many other crisis energy, but also doing oversight that has
- 25:39Speaker 1: been dramatically lacking for the last two years. Republicans are
- 25:44Speaker 1: investigating things that need to be investigating oversight. What the
- 25:49Speaker 1: Democrats are doing is they're saying, no, you will not
- 25:53Speaker 1: come after us, and if you do investigate us, even
- 25:57Speaker 1: if we've committed very, very big financial crimes like Hunter Biden,
- 26:02Speaker 1: Joe Biden, and James Biden have done, we will make
- 26:05Speaker 1: sure that you never ever think about doing it again. Now,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I do believe that this probably in a weird way,
- 26:14Speaker 1: help Donald Trump initially in the polls, but if they
- 26:18Speaker 1: go to indict him, which I have no reason to
- 26:19Speaker 1: believe at this point now that they won't, I have
- 26:21Speaker 1: no reason to believe that this special prosecutor hasn't already
- 26:25Speaker 1: made up his mind and his decision, and I have
- 26:28Speaker 1: no reason to believe that this wasn't done to make
- 26:30Speaker 1: sure that there will be enough people concerned or worried
- 26:33Speaker 1: in the mid terms that he would be indicted that
- 26:36Speaker 1: people will not vote for him, They'll go to somebody else,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and that's exactly what the Democrats are planning on doing.
- 26:41Speaker 1: This also undermines a grand debate in the Republican primary
- 26:45Speaker 1: if someone like Rhonda Santis decides to run, because it's
- 26:49Speaker 1: gonna undermine it, and it's gonna undermine that debate that
- 26:52Speaker 1: they should have, because there's gonna be people saying, well,
- 26:55Speaker 1: Rohnda Santi is just an opportunist. He's just running because
- 26:57Speaker 1: Donald Trump is being persecuted right now and there will
- 27:00Speaker 1: be a civil war. Democrats also are hoping that that
- 27:03Speaker 1: will happen because somebody's going to lose, whether it's Ronda
- 27:07Speaker 1: Santists or Donald Trump, and then they hope that those
- 27:09Speaker 1: supporters of their candidate, whether it be Trump or to Santists,
- 27:12Speaker 1: for example, will stay home on in the general election
- 27:15Speaker 1: day and that will guarantee the Democrats win. Yet again,
- 27:19Speaker 1: you have to understand Democrats are very smart. They are
- 27:23Speaker 1: always a step ahead of Republicans. It looks like certainly
- 27:27Speaker 1: seems that way. They understand how angry people can get.
- 27:34Speaker 1: They understand how to make Republicans not turn out to vote,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and how to make Democrats turn out to vote. They
- 27:42Speaker 1: get it, folks, They understand it, and that's exactly why
- 27:46Speaker 1: they were taking this risk now only after election day.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Let me just end by saying that this is war.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Democrats have declared war on our constitution. They've declared war
- 28:01Speaker 1: on Donald Trump. They declared war on any conservative that
- 28:03Speaker 1: wants to run for office. They've said, we'll lock you up.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Will not just ruin your life, but we will lock
- 28:10Speaker 1: you up, we will put you into financial ruin, and
- 28:14Speaker 1: we will destroy you if you are not one of us.
- 28:17Speaker 1: That's the truth of what they have just done. Never
- 28:21Speaker 1: forget how far off the rails we have gone in
- 28:25Speaker 1: just the last couple of years. Share this podcast with
