- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Save America Act, and the Democrats are against it.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Three very simple points.
- 0:07Speaker 1: It's got voter ID, photo ID, but voter ID, the
- 0:11Speaker 1: confirmation of US citizenship. You have to be a citizen,
- 0:15Speaker 1: and then you have no mail in ballots with the
- 0:18Speaker 1: exception of disability, illness, military, or if you're traveling, you
- 0:24Speaker 1: can get an exemption, and that will assure the security
- 0:28Speaker 1: of our crooked elections.
- 0:29Speaker 2: We have crooked elections.
- 0:30Speaker 3: If you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with
- 0:33Speaker 3: Ben ferguson.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Good Friday morning, it's so nice to have you with
- 0:36Speaker 4: us in the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got
- 0:39Speaker 4: a very.
- 0:39Speaker 5: Big story for you.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Accountability finally coming to those look the other way with
- 0:45Speaker 4: the massive fraud happening in Minnesota.
- 0:47Speaker 5: This time Minnesota's a g.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Keith Ellison is forced to come before Congress and answer
- 0:54Speaker 4: questions about his ties to the Somali fraudsters. And it
- 0:58Speaker 4: went about as well as you can imagine, Josh Holly,
- 1:02Speaker 4: the Senator from Missouri, making it very clear he wasn't
- 1:05Speaker 4: letting him get away with anything. It's the forty seven
- 1:08Speaker 4: Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Story number one, accountability.
- 1:14Speaker 4: It is what Donald Trump promised all Americans for those
- 1:17Speaker 4: that have been breaking the law. Waste, fraud and abuse
- 1:20Speaker 4: were a part of the doctrine. We were going to
- 1:22Speaker 4: get rid of it and figure out exactly who was
- 1:25Speaker 4: involved in it. Well, then we had what happened in Minnesota,
- 1:29Speaker 4: a massive explosion of an expose on the fraud that
- 1:34Speaker 4: is costing taxpayers billions of dollars. We also found out
- 1:38Speaker 4: much of that money was actually going to terrorist groups
- 1:41Speaker 4: like al Shabab. And then there's those that were behind
- 1:45Speaker 4: it or actually protecting the fraudsters. Josh Holly and many
- 1:50Speaker 4: in the Senate, they got a chance to talk to
- 1:53Speaker 4: Minnesota's Attorney General, Keith Ellison, over his ties to many
- 1:59Speaker 4: of those small fraudsters. How to be clear, the attorney
- 2:02Speaker 4: general is the one that's supposed to be going after
- 2:04Speaker 4: the criminal's not hanging out with them, doing deals with them,
- 2:08Speaker 4: or looking the other way. And now Senator Holly is
- 2:11Speaker 4: calling for the indictment of the Minnesota Attorney General, Keith Ellison,
- 2:15Speaker 4: over accusations that he accepted campaign contributions from the Somali
- 2:22Speaker 4: fraudsters for helping them evade investigation by state and federal
- 2:29Speaker 4: officials during the Senate Homeland Security hearing on Thursday, Holly
- 2:35Speaker 4: grilled Ellison about a report from The New York Post
- 2:38Speaker 4: published last year that is now accused the top Minnesota
- 2:42Speaker 4: official of taking campaign contributions from Somali's involved in Defeeding
- 2:49Speaker 4: our Future fraud scandal. That scandal is where some nine
- 2:54Speaker 4: billion dollars in taxpayer money was stolen under the guy
- 3:00Speaker 4: of feeding needy children. That's right, They weren't doing it
- 3:04Speaker 4: at all. According to the report, Ellison accepted several two thousand,
- 3:11Speaker 4: five hundred dollars campaign donations from Somali fraudsters after they
- 3:16Speaker 4: raised concerns that federal investigators were unjustly looking at their financials.
- 3:23Speaker 4: I want you to listen to part one center Holly
- 3:27Speaker 4: questioning and laying out the facts with the receipts of
- 3:31Speaker 4: exactly what Ellison was doing.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Try another question.
- 3:34Speaker 7: You familiar with the nine billion dollars in historic fraud
- 3:37Speaker 7: out of your state, including the two hundred and fifty
- 3:40Speaker 7: million dollars in the Feeding our Future program? Alone you
- 3:43Speaker 7: familiar with that? Don't turn to the pages in your
- 3:45Speaker 7: book to get your potted answers. Are you familiar with it?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yes or no? Yes? I am familiar with.
- 3:49Speaker 7: Very familiar, aren't you, Because the people who ran the
- 3:52Speaker 7: Feeding Our Futures program came to you and your official
- 3:55Speaker 7: office in the state capitol of December eleventh to twenty
- 3:57Speaker 7: twenty one and asked for your in getting investigators off
- 4:02Speaker 7: their backs. They complain to you for upwards of an
- 4:05Speaker 7: hour about state investigators going after them, and they begged
- 4:09Speaker 7: you to help them, and you agreed to it amazingly,
- 4:13Speaker 7: And we know you did.
- 4:14Speaker 6: That's because it's all caught on tape.
- 4:17Speaker 7: Every single sentence is caught on tape. Here's what you said.
- 4:19Speaker 7: Let's take it on. You said sid a question. You
- 4:22Speaker 7: said to them, send me the names of all these
- 4:25Speaker 7: folks who are investigating them. You said, to them, send
- 4:28Speaker 7: me their names and I'll take that list and I'll
- 4:31Speaker 7: call the person over at Education who was investigating them
- 4:34Speaker 7: and say what's going on? Why am I getting these complaints?
- 4:38Speaker 7: Then he went on to say, I already have my
- 4:40Speaker 7: team working on this. What day should we get together
- 4:44Speaker 7: to discuss it again? You made pledge after pledge to them.
- 4:49Speaker 7: You said, we've got to make sure this guy who's
- 4:51Speaker 7: investigating them stops it. You said, you have my attention
- 4:54Speaker 7: I'm concerned about this. You said, let's go fight these people,
- 4:59Speaker 7: meaning the people who are investigating the fraud.
- 5:02Speaker 6: Why'd you do it? Why did you help them?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Are you gonna let me answer?
- 5:05Speaker 6: Please? We're all here, So first of.
- 5:07Speaker 2: All, you're cherry picking colts out of there?
- 5:10Speaker 6: Why did you help me?
- 5:11Speaker 2: I thought you were going to let me answer? Why
- 5:12Speaker 2: did you let me answer?
- 5:14Speaker 6: Why did you help you?
- 5:14Speaker 2: Let me answer, and I'll answer.
- 5:15Speaker 6: You tell the truth, and I'll let you answer.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I will tell the truth.
- 5:18Speaker 6: It'd be a nice change.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So that now, see, mister.
- 5:21Speaker 8: Chairman, I didn't come here to be insulted.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I came here value.
- 5:24Speaker 6: You came here for the truth. Let's have it. Why
- 5:26Speaker 6: did you help? Are here?
- 5:28Speaker 7: They're in black and white and everything, this audience and
- 5:30Speaker 7: the chair. Listen to the recording.
- 5:32Speaker 6: It's fifty four minutes long.
- 5:34Speaker 7: It's all in public that you can google it right
- 5:37Speaker 7: now and listen to it and listen to to help them?
- 5:39Speaker 2: First of all, I didn't help them, you did, no,
- 5:41Speaker 2: I did not. I certainly didn't.
- 5:43Speaker 6: You're saying you didn't do anything for them? You didn't,
- 5:46Speaker 6: you didn't.
- 5:47Speaker 7: Well, wait a minute, I already have my team working
- 5:48Speaker 7: on this again, that's not you.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I have I've been with my team.
- 5:52Speaker 8: My team assisted with the information that led to the
- 5:56Speaker 8: prosecution and conviction of.
- 5:58Speaker 7: These figure it prosecute him. No, you did not, because
- 6:03Speaker 7: you had obs. You have whistleblowers. Listen, my time doesn't
- 6:10Speaker 7: know what you're talking about.
- 6:11Speaker 6: You now, why did you take your money?
- 6:15Speaker 4: You notice there Holly really honing in on following the money.
- 6:20Speaker 4: He also talked about you know, you're familiar with the
- 6:23Speaker 4: nine billion in a historic fraud out of your state,
- 6:27Speaker 4: including the two hundred and fifty million in the Feeding
- 6:29Speaker 4: Our Future program alone. That's when Holly asked Ellison, to
- 6:33Speaker 4: which he responded, I'm familiar with it because the people
- 6:37Speaker 4: who ran the Feeding Our Future program came to you
- 6:40Speaker 4: in your office in the state capitol December eleventh, twenty
- 6:44Speaker 4: twenty one, and asked for your help and getting investigators
- 6:49Speaker 4: off their backs. Holly wasn't done talking about the money
- 6:54Speaker 4: and connecting the trail.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Take a listen, why.
- 6:57Speaker 6: Did you take your money? Why did you take their money?
- 7:00Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 7:01Speaker 6: You took ten to false thousand dollars. That's a false
- 7:04Speaker 6: ten thousand dollars.
- 7:07Speaker 7: Nine days after the meeting, false ste you took ten
- 7:10Speaker 7: thousand dollars. Here's what happened. They went to your office.
- 7:13Speaker 7: They solicited money for you from you. They came to
- 7:17Speaker 7: your office, it was your official office. You laid with
- 7:20Speaker 7: them for fifty four minutes. They asked you for help.
- 7:23Speaker 7: You pledged it to them, and they talked repeatedly about money.
- 7:26Speaker 7: In fact, it's all they talked. That's a lot of money, money, money, money.
- 7:30Speaker 7: They said, we will put our dollars in the right place.
- 7:33Speaker 7: We will support candidates that will fight to protect our interests.
- 7:36Speaker 7: You replied, that's right. They said that you are securing
- 7:39Speaker 7: your donor base and securing your power base. You can
- 7:42Speaker 7: act the way you want. You replied, money is freedom.
- 7:45Speaker 7: They said, the amount of money circulate I'm reading the transcript.
- 7:48Speaker 7: The amount of money you're relating in our community today
- 7:51Speaker 7: is powerful and we haven't realizing it in a meaningful way.
- 7:54Speaker 7: And you said, give me the specifics. And nine days
- 7:58Speaker 7: later you took ten thousand dollars from people who were
- 8:02Speaker 7: then indicted.
- 8:03Speaker 6: It's in your reports. Why did you do it, sir?
- 8:05Speaker 6: This was it worth it?
- 8:07Speaker 2: You know what? This is a theatrical ten thousand.
- 8:10Speaker 6: This is the truth. It has a building it looks
- 8:12Speaker 6: like of which you've.
- 8:13Speaker 7: Had not You helped fraudsters defraud your sky and this
- 8:17Speaker 7: government of nine million dollars and you got that campaign
- 8:21Speaker 7: contribution out of it.
- 8:22Speaker 6: You ought to be indicted. True, Well, that's the truth.
- 8:25Speaker 5: I think we've made the point.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Let's keep the ten. Well, just for the record, I'll
- 8:28Speaker 2: ask how who's lying? And that's and that's the truth.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Oh no, this is all on the road. So did
- 8:34Speaker 6: you bother? O?
- 8:35Speaker 7: Did you bother to investigate where the money that you
- 8:37Speaker 7: facilitated their fraud for where it went?
- 8:40Speaker 6: Do you know where it went, what it was used for?
- 8:41Speaker 6: The fraudulent money?
- 8:43Speaker 7: I do, because we just heard testimony about it yesterday.
- 8:45Speaker 7: Because we run with peers in these hundreds of millions
- 8:49Speaker 7: of dollars to terrorists, to transnational criminal organizations, to the
- 8:53Speaker 7: drug trade, to drug trafficking, to child trafficking.
- 8:57Speaker 6: And you took ten thousand dollars.
- 8:59Speaker 2: That's a lot and help them do it.
- 9:01Speaker 6: You know.
- 9:01Speaker 7: The other thing is whistle blowers came to you as
- 9:03Speaker 7: early as twenty nineteen. Let's look as early as twenty nineteen.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Whistle blood, don't talk over me as early as nineteen.
- 9:11Speaker 6: It's my hearing pal as early as twenty nineteen, don't come.
- 9:16Speaker 7: Whistle blowers came to Well, I should call you prisoner
- 9:18Speaker 7: because you ought to be in jail.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Well see what you get.
- 9:20Speaker 7: In twenty nineteen, whistle blowers came to you in your
- 9:24Speaker 7: office and referred to you fraud allegations from feeding our Futures,
- 9:28Speaker 7: and you blow them off. Listen to your own state newspapers.
- 9:30Speaker 7: At the Minnesota Star Tribune. The Partners and Nutrition brought
- 9:34Speaker 7: its concerns to the Attorney General's office in twenty eighteen
- 9:37Speaker 7: and in twenty nineteen, and you did nothing. You did
- 9:40Speaker 7: nothing for years. The only action you took is once
- 9:43Speaker 7: all these fraudsters came to your office and asked you
- 9:46Speaker 7: to get involved and offered your money.
- 9:47Speaker 6: And then you got involved. Then you talk the money,
- 9:50Speaker 6: and then you got involved.
- 9:51Speaker 8: They did not come to my office. You're completely wrong
- 9:54Speaker 8: about that. You met with it in fifty twenty.
- 9:57Speaker 7: Minutes and you took ten thousand dollars and they also
- 9:59Speaker 7: gave your family money. They gave your family thousands of
- 10:02Speaker 7: dollars in campaign contributions, is what they.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Gave false statements.
- 10:06Speaker 8: Let's put the this is you know, this is completely
- 10:08Speaker 8: under New York Post.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we know the New York Post.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Minnesota Keith Ellison ag accepted campaign donations from individuals linked
- 10:15Speaker 7: to the twohunor fifty million dollars COVID fraud scheme after
- 10:18Speaker 7: they were in your office. No donations came on December twentieth. Sir,
- 10:21Speaker 7: you met with them on December the eleventh, and on
- 10:23Speaker 7: January twentieth, the FBI knocked over their headquarters.
- 10:26Speaker 6: No, no, that's the sequence of events here.
- 10:29Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 10:30Speaker 6: You have been right at the center of this fraud.
- 10:32Speaker 7: Not the sequence and and sir, the false you should resign.
- 10:37Speaker 8: And sir, you should reside. I was thinking the same
- 10:40Speaker 8: thing about you.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Reside now.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Of course, Ellison denied helping the fraudsters, to which Holly
- 10:46Speaker 4: made it very clear, saying to Ellison to his face,
- 10:49Speaker 4: you accepted ten thousand from them nine days after the meeting.
- 10:53Speaker 4: You helped the fraudsters of fraudier's state and this government
- 10:57Speaker 4: of nine billion dollars, and you've got a fat campaign contribution.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Out of it. You ought to be indicted.
- 11:06Speaker 4: No, this is all on the record, sir, Holly continued,
- 11:10Speaker 4: did you bother to investigate weather the money that you
- 11:13Speaker 4: facilitated their fraud for where it went, question Mark, do
- 11:18Speaker 4: you know where it went, what it was used for?
- 11:20Speaker 4: The fraudulent money. I do, because we just heard testimony
- 11:24Speaker 4: about it yesterday. Hundreds of millions of dollars to terrorist groups,
- 11:29Speaker 4: to transnational criminal organizations, to the drug trade, to drug trafficking,
- 11:36Speaker 4: to child trafficking, and you took ten thousand dollars and
- 11:40Speaker 4: helped them do it. Holly also told Ellison that not
- 11:44Speaker 4: only should he resign from office, which I'm sure Ellison
- 11:48Speaker 4: will not do, but he reminded him that as of
- 11:52Speaker 4: last December, eighty five people have been charged in the
- 11:55Speaker 4: Feeding our Future fraud scandal, nearly all of whom are Somalid.
- 12:00Speaker 4: The investigation has led to sixty convictions thus far. So
- 12:05Speaker 4: how does the Attorney General look the other way and
- 12:08Speaker 4: act like it never happened. Well, it's pretty easy when
- 12:11Speaker 4: the people that are committing the fraud are giving you
- 12:14Speaker 4: campaign contributions. And this is exactly why the President of
- 12:18Speaker 4: the United States of America, Donald Trump, said multiple times
- 12:22Speaker 4: in the last week that the resources of the federal
- 12:26Speaker 4: government are all in to go after anyone is involved
- 12:30Speaker 4: in defrauding the American taxpayer.
- 12:32Speaker 5: And sending that money to terrorist.
