- 1:16Speaker 1: just let him, let him know the impact he had
- 1:18Speaker 1: on me as a person. And I think that's really
- 1:20Speaker 1: important to the success of this young man. He's an actor, writer, producer,
- 1:24Speaker 1: band leader, social media influencer, and charity charity fundraiser. He
- 1:29Speaker 1: is best known for his roles in the popular TV

- 2:07Speaker 1: Greg Grunberg, thank you so much for having introduction. Hey, Greg,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know when you when you have a career, man,
- 2:17Speaker 1: don't you let it hang out on Wikipedia exactly. You
- 2:21Speaker 1: don't have to point people to IMDb. You know, my man,
- 2:26Speaker 1: you are special man. Like I said, we accounted each
- 2:28Speaker 1: other for the first time um in New York at
- 2:32Speaker 1: a at a New York entrepreneurship event, and you interviewed
- 2:36Speaker 1: me on your show, and we had a lot of
- 2:38Speaker 1: a lot of you know, like Susan and the Pad.
- 2:40Speaker 1: We kind of like knew a lot of the same people.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And that explains a lot about your career, because relationships
- 2:46Speaker 1: play a major role in under the success of your career. Correct,
- 2:49Speaker 1: That's very true. I mean when you when you come
- 2:51Speaker 1: across something, I thought the same way about you. You know,
- 2:54Speaker 1: there there's a there's an honesty, there's a you know
- 2:57Speaker 1: there there's a lot of people in entertain aiming and
- 3:01Speaker 1: uh and yet there are very few and that what
- 3:03Speaker 1: I mean by that is there's so many people trying
- 3:05Speaker 1: to knock down the door, trying to make things happen
- 3:07Speaker 1: but when you do get a taste of it, and
- 3:10Speaker 1: you get an opportunity to work with people, you want
- 3:11Speaker 1: to work with people that you like, that you trust,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and that you know, you know you can count on,
- 3:15Speaker 1: And so you turn to those people over and over again.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And in those cases, inevitably you're going to cross paths
- 3:20Speaker 1: with people that have uh, you know, relationships in common.
- 3:24Speaker 1: That's what happened to us. I was like, you started
- 3:26Speaker 1: talking about people, you know. I knew it was inevitable,
- 3:29Speaker 1: you know, but absolutely. Now here's the here's the fun
- 3:32Speaker 1: part about my relationship with great so because but I
- 3:35Speaker 1: would just let him know he inspired me, and I
- 3:38Speaker 1: wanted People were trying, why do you need inspiration? So
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm reading USA today and they did an article they
- 3:44Speaker 1: don't still do what they still do it. They do
- 3:46Speaker 1: a little tech article people are doing things outside their
- 3:49Speaker 1: normal profession. And there was a Yaws mobile coupons that
- 3:53Speaker 1: he created, he co created and it's about you know,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and he uses Yaws of to find coupons and discounts
- 3:59Speaker 1: for stores and establishments that are in your local area. Now,
- 4:03Speaker 1: when I read that, it was a change of jealousy.
- 4:07Speaker 1: You know, I'm saying because he was doing something out
- 4:09Speaker 1: of his norm. You know, this man was living his
- 4:12Speaker 1: life and I thought that was beautiful and I and
- 4:15Speaker 1: and I went, you know something, And that's when I
- 4:17Speaker 1: started money making conversations online with Facebook. I said, Okay,
- 4:21Speaker 1: make time to do your do what you want to
- 4:23Speaker 1: do besides what other people tell you you were supposed
- 4:26Speaker 1: to be doing. Tell everybody about the development of that
- 4:30Speaker 1: app and why I became an important part of your
- 4:33Speaker 1: career planning. I'd love to and I learned a lot
- 4:36Speaker 1: from it. Um, all good? What what what happened was?
- 4:39Speaker 1: You know, I was an early adopter of technology and
- 4:42Speaker 1: as far as how it glittered to my my career.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Right Twitter came along, apps were happening. Um, but before Twitter,
- 4:49Speaker 1: there was apps and the apps. To me, I immediately
- 4:53Speaker 1: saw an opportunity. I saw it like it was like
- 4:55Speaker 1: an industrial revolution for people that once again you didn't
- 4:59Speaker 1: have to have machinery, didn't have to have the tools
- 5:02Speaker 1: were right there digitally for you to just come up
- 5:04Speaker 1: and still to this day come up with an idea
- 5:07Speaker 1: that could change the world. And and and and and
- 5:10Speaker 1: you always looked for a problem. So my wife and I,
- 5:14Speaker 1: you know, we are coupon people. I mean, I am
- 5:16Speaker 1: to just trying to be smart about it, right. And
- 5:19Speaker 1: so one of the stores that we we visit all
- 5:21Speaker 1: the time is that Bath and Beyond. We got three boys,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you know, so that Bath and Beyond. They their business
- 5:28Speaker 1: structure is all about using those coupons. They mail it
- 5:31Speaker 1: out to everyone. But they're and they're huge, they're big
- 5:34Speaker 1: cardboard coupons. They couldn't be more wasteful, right as far
- 5:37Speaker 1: as the planets. But but most people leave him at home.
- 5:42Speaker 1: So you get there and you go, ah, coupon at
- 5:44Speaker 1: home whatever, We left it in the car. So we're
- 5:47Speaker 1: walking in, you know, and I couldn't be more lazy.
- 5:50Speaker 1: So I'm walking in and I'm thinking, I don't even
- 5:52Speaker 1: want to go back to the car to get my coupon.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And it hit me, why doesn't someone come up to
- 5:57Speaker 1: a app? This is at that time realized nothing. I
- 6:00Speaker 1: didn't know of anything out there, and there really wasn't
- 6:02Speaker 1: anything up that this simple. Why doesn't come up with
- 6:04Speaker 1: an app? That there's geolocation In the app, the phone
- 6:07Speaker 1: knows where you are, so you push one button and
- 6:10Speaker 1: it brings up knowing your location, brings up all the
- 6:13Speaker 1: stores within a net that you said, So whether it's
- 6:16Speaker 1: one mile five miles around you, all the coupons that
- 6:20Speaker 1: are available and not you know, at that time, four
- 6:23Speaker 1: square was out there, so you had to check in
- 6:25Speaker 1: as the mayor and earned points and it was kind
- 6:28Speaker 1: of gamified. I didn't want to do that at all.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I was thinking about it. I always used the term
- 6:32Speaker 1: mom proof because my mom, you know, she's in her seventies, um,
- 6:36Speaker 1: and my dad's in his eighties. And my mom can't
- 6:38Speaker 1: push one button and uh and and use whatever services
- 6:43Speaker 1: is out there, then it's not worth it. It's too complicated.
- 6:47Speaker 1: People want simplicity and they want to be able to
- 6:49Speaker 1: do that. And if you were in a mall and
- 6:52Speaker 1: you push this button and it directs you to a
- 6:55Speaker 1: given store, I mean that's powerful. That's really really powerful.
- 6:59Speaker 1: So I thought about it and that was that. I mean,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I was like, well, I don't know how to do this,
- 7:04Speaker 1: so so on twitter. UM. I started tweeting and then
- 7:08Speaker 1: I have about a thousand followers at that time, maybe
- 7:11Speaker 1: very very beginning. And a guy follows me and says, hey,
- 7:13Speaker 1: I really like you're acting and if there's anything I
- 7:16Speaker 1: can do. I like the band that you have. I
- 7:17Speaker 1: have a charity band called band from TV And he said,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I really love that. Is there anything I can do?
- 7:22Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a developer, an app developer. Can I
- 7:25Speaker 1: develop something for you so that you can raise more
- 7:27Speaker 1: money for charity? So I looked at uh we we we.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I looked at Apple. Apple does not have any if
- 7:33Speaker 1: you think about it, not one app in the App
- 7:35Speaker 1: Store helps charities. They just that's not something that they
- 7:39Speaker 1: have developed yet. Um. I haven't looked at a while,
- 7:42Speaker 1: but I think that's still the case. So it immediately
- 7:45Speaker 1: he was I was like, uh, there's nothing we can do.
- 7:47Speaker 1: And then I said, but I do have this idea
- 7:50Speaker 1: to realize I'm using using Twitter two and then I'm open.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I'm totally open, like I like you, and I sit
- 7:57Speaker 1: down and in two minutes that's just who I am.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I've I've learned this from my dad. If somebody says, hey,
- 8:03Speaker 1: there's I really want you to meet this guy and
- 8:04Speaker 1: it's about a two hour, three hour drive, just go,
- 8:08Speaker 1: get into your car. Go. You never know what's going
- 8:10Speaker 1: to happen out of that. This has been my philosophy. UM,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and opportunities present themselves. You take advantage of the ones
- 8:17Speaker 1: that are right for you. This was one that I
- 8:21Speaker 1: engaged in a guy on Twitter. You know, and I
- 8:23Speaker 1: have a million and a half people follow me on Twitter.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's not like I do this today, this back now,
- 8:28Speaker 1: but I said, you know, I've got this idea. He
- 8:32Speaker 1: freaked out like his because he was a digital guy
- 8:36Speaker 1: or a you know, a developer. He was looking at
- 8:39Speaker 1: it seeing the benefits of the analytics. Because if if
- 8:42Speaker 1: you push a button, Let's say you're standing outside of
- 8:45Speaker 1: a clothing store and push a button and it sends
- 8:48Speaker 1: you into that store. Now you use a coupon, the
- 8:50Speaker 1: store lays out three coupons in the app if you
- 8:53Speaker 1: use the one for socks or for slacks or for sure,
- 8:57Speaker 1: now they know you're buying habits. And now that that
- 9:00Speaker 1: information is tremendously I didn't even think about that side
- 9:03Speaker 1: of it. Greg Hold that thought. We're gonna come right back,
- 9:05Speaker 1: and uh, I want to know a boy Bandwagon Media,
- 9:07Speaker 1: which is your production company? This is what's all about. Man.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Thank you, and we'll be back with more Mr socially Conscious,
- 9:14Speaker 1: Mr Hero money making conversations. Rashard McDonald speaking this ra
- 9:20Speaker 1: Sean McDonald, you're listening to money making conversation on the
- 9:22Speaker 1: phone with a good friend of mine. He's a He's
- 9:25Speaker 1: an intelligently UH induced individual when it comes to being himself,
- 9:30Speaker 1: recognizing the needs for others and also making time for
- 9:34Speaker 1: his family as well as being a recognizable actor in
- 9:37Speaker 1: the acting game, as well as being a person who
- 9:39Speaker 1: I feel is a game changer not only in the
- 9:42Speaker 1: social media world, but also in the UH world of
- 9:45Speaker 1: the game of life. Greg, are you still there? I'm
- 9:48Speaker 1: still here man now, Gregg, he was wrapping up that
- 9:51Speaker 1: whole run about the yawser app. Now where's that? What's that?
- 9:54Speaker 1: What's that? What's the status of the app today? So
- 9:56Speaker 1: the app today? Um uh is? We We old the
- 10:00Speaker 1: app to a company called Spindle. Um we we built
- 10:03Speaker 1: it up to about a million a little over a
- 10:05Speaker 1: million people using it. We had stores nationwide, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 1: listing their coupons, and um we sold it to a
- 10:12Speaker 1: company that needed to reach out to consumers. They were
- 10:15Speaker 1: like a business to business type thing. So there I
- 10:17Speaker 1: think relaunching the app currently. But it was you know,
- 10:20Speaker 1: it was a success. It wasn't one of those massive
- 10:23Speaker 1: successes that you hear about a hundred million dollars sale
- 10:25Speaker 1: or whatever. But it was great. My investors got their
- 10:28Speaker 1: got their money back plus some. And and I learned
- 10:31Speaker 1: a great, uh you know, lesson and that I can
- 10:34Speaker 1: do stuff if I want to do it, I just
- 10:35Speaker 1: have to just got to put your mind to it.
- 10:37Speaker 1: But the other lesson that I learned in that is
- 10:40Speaker 1: to stay focused because and stay in your wheelhouse. And
- 10:43Speaker 1: I'm and you're constantly justifying in my business and what
- 10:47Speaker 1: you do as well. You know, It's like I'm a
- 10:49Speaker 1: I'm an actor first, I'm a writer, I'm a producer director.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I have a production company, the Bandwagon Media. We do
- 10:56Speaker 1: commercials and TV and film, and sometimes opportunities come that
- 11:00Speaker 1: could distract. They're great opportunities, but they take you outside
- 11:04Speaker 1: of your wheelhouse or outside of your brand. So that
- 11:08Speaker 1: was I mean, what is what is some you know,
- 11:10Speaker 1: this big actor dude from TV? Why is he telling
- 11:13Speaker 1: me to download a coupon app? So it was it
- 11:15Speaker 1: was that was tough, but I did it. You know,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I was on l and I was all as the
- 11:19Speaker 1: shows promoting jealous of you. I was jealous of you.
- 11:24Speaker 1: It was crazy, it was crazy, But but I've learned
- 11:27Speaker 1: in that in that experience I've learned. Okay, you know,
- 11:30Speaker 1: if if I just because I see a shiny object,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I got to make sure that it's, you know, in
- 11:34Speaker 1: my wheelhouse. Like I've got a podcast that I do
- 11:36Speaker 1: right now that I love and it's building and it's
- 11:39Speaker 1: called it's called an actor, a comedian and a musician
- 11:42Speaker 1: walk into a bar, and it's we do it from
- 11:45Speaker 1: various different locations and it's fun, it's creative, it's still
- 11:49Speaker 1: me entertaining, and yet there's a tech side to it
- 11:52Speaker 1: because it's you know, it's uh, it's an app. I mean,
- 11:55Speaker 1: it's on an app, you know, just like you're and
- 11:58Speaker 1: it doesn't have the numbers you have. I'm growing, I'm
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm slowly growing. But I love that. I love that.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I love a graphic novel series that I'm that I'm
- 12:06Speaker 1: writing called Dream Jumper Um. And then of course i'm
- 12:10Speaker 1: acting and you know, I'm not to go do the
- 12:11Speaker 1: New Star Wars as well. So it's like it's it's
- 12:14Speaker 1: you're living your life, living your life, and this is
- 12:16Speaker 1: what this is what I like about you, Greg, is
- 12:18Speaker 1: that is that you're not saying I should do one thing.
- 12:21Speaker 1: You're telling what you're doing. What I tell people all
- 12:23Speaker 1: the time. You know, you've been given that opportunity to
- 12:26Speaker 1: open your mind and say, if I get a call,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you look at and make sure that shiny is not
- 12:31Speaker 1: walking off the cliff. You pursue it. That's the app
- 12:33Speaker 1: You want to write a book, you want to start
- 12:35Speaker 1: a production company, you want to be in a band,
- 12:37Speaker 1: You're going to do that. You know, you're not limited.
- 12:39Speaker 1: That's something I decided when I left IBM. I was
- 12:42Speaker 1: at a very very successful executive. Successful executive, I don't
- 12:45Speaker 1: stay at the comment at night. And then one day
- 12:47Speaker 1: I said, you know something, I don't think this is
- 12:49Speaker 1: what what I'm just supposed to just supposed to do.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And so you've opened your eyes to say, you know,
- 12:56Speaker 1: like like this production company, that's another layer of entrepreneur
- 13:00Speaker 1: a ship that you've gotten into. It has really taken off,
- 13:03Speaker 1: it has, it has, and it's it's fueled all the
- 13:06Speaker 1: creative ideas that I have. So I know that if
- 13:08Speaker 1: I have you know, I have a little studio and
- 13:11Speaker 1: you know it's a five thousand, six thousand square feet.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I have the equipment and all this stuff. So if
- 13:15Speaker 1: I come up with an idea, I can shoot it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And also today, you know, you come up with an idea,
- 13:21Speaker 1: you don't need anybody's permission today. Like when I was
- 13:23Speaker 1: a kid coming up, even as an actor, if I
- 13:25Speaker 1: needed to get tape on myself, like people said, well
- 13:27Speaker 1: let me see a couple of scenes. I need to
- 13:29Speaker 1: wait till somebody hired me. I need to get that tape. Today,
- 13:32Speaker 1: you got it in the palm of your hand. That
- 13:35Speaker 1: you know, kids that come up are young actors that
- 13:37Speaker 1: that talk to me and they say, you know, I
- 13:39Speaker 1: really want to I really want to do this this
- 13:41Speaker 1: show where I'm sitting in a diner and I'm like,
- 13:44Speaker 1: shoot it stopping you. It's called a cell phone and
- 13:48Speaker 1: the quality is good enough that you can put it
- 13:50Speaker 1: on a big screen. So there's no limit to your
- 13:53Speaker 1: creative creativity. It's just having you know, the wherewithal or
- 13:58Speaker 1: you know, the belief in yourself is another thing that
- 14:00Speaker 1: I've really learned. I know, I'm jumping all over the place.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no no, But see, I won't want
- 14:04Speaker 1: people to hear the story because we want to talk
- 14:05Speaker 1: about his voices and video games, his voices on animation,
- 14:09Speaker 1: and so I just want everybody to understand. That's why
- 14:12Speaker 1: I let everybody know your about some of your body
- 14:15Speaker 1: of work, because you're not You're not limiting yourself. Greg.
- 14:19Speaker 1: You know, that's key to this whole interview is that
- 14:22Speaker 1: you're telling everybody is that they're twenty four hours in
- 14:25Speaker 1: the day. You learn to take advantage of every hour,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and plus you have family time. Plus you have time
- 14:31Speaker 1: for your kids. Plus you have time for your wife
- 14:33Speaker 1: because you've you got it. You you're a happy person.
- 14:36Speaker 1: That is why when I met you, finally finally got
- 14:39Speaker 1: to meet you, and I say I was jealous. It
- 14:41Speaker 1: was all their own ingest because I followed you and
- 14:44Speaker 1: when I got to meet you, this guy is just
- 14:46Speaker 1: as real as the person I've seen. And that's why
- 14:49Speaker 1: you're so relatable in your roles and you can do
- 14:51Speaker 1: so many different types of roles because guess what, in
- 14:53Speaker 1: the end, I just think you're just being Greg. You know,
- 15:01Speaker 1: me in a hero Greg yelling at out you know
- 15:05Speaker 1: all right, No, I mean I do know my limits.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I might not lie, and I love those limits. I
- 15:10Speaker 1: love that. You know, when people come up to me,
- 15:12Speaker 1: it's the best compliment they can possibly give me, as
- 15:14Speaker 1: I they feel like I am their friend like that,
- 15:17Speaker 1: Like you know, it's very it's relatable and real and
- 15:20Speaker 1: that's the best thing. And also for acting, my style
- 15:24Speaker 1: of it's all in your eyes, Like I do as
- 15:26Speaker 1: much listening as I do projecting as an actor, I
- 15:29Speaker 1: do as much reacting, you know, as that to me
- 15:33Speaker 1: is the best. Like when you're doing stand up, I mean,
- 15:36Speaker 1: you react off the audience if you have to, and
- 15:40Speaker 1: a good stand up does that. To just go and
- 15:42Speaker 1: see a show where somebody is just projecting at you,
- 15:45Speaker 1: it doesn't let you in right, you know. And I
- 15:48Speaker 1: don't know I think that that can be related to
- 15:50Speaker 1: to anything. The business stuff I've always told people and
- 15:55Speaker 1: I tell myself that all the time, is no one's
- 15:57Speaker 1: going to give you a chance. People do not want
- 15:59Speaker 1: to give you as at being like, they don't want
- 16:02Speaker 1: to give you your first chance at whatever you want
- 16:04Speaker 1: to do. So if I wanted to to do you know, uh,
- 16:08Speaker 1: even acting or whatever. If you don't take a chance
- 16:11Speaker 1: on yourself, no one else is gonna take a chance
- 16:13Speaker 1: on you. You got to be that person that says, yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you're good enough, I mean, and do it first, even
- 16:19Speaker 1: if it's taking your cell phone and recording a quick scene,
- 16:22Speaker 1: you show it to people subconsciously or consciously they go, oh,
- 16:25Speaker 1: he's already done stuff, even though it was you that
- 16:28Speaker 1: gave me self that opportunity, because it really starts with you.
- 16:31Speaker 1: You gotta prove hey, yeah, I can do this, and
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'm confident enough to do it. And I take that
- 16:35Speaker 1: to everything, like this band, I saw a need. My
- 16:38Speaker 1: son has epilepsy. There's a stigma attached epilepsy, and and
- 16:43Speaker 1: it's scary to see people have explain to everybody exactly
- 16:46Speaker 1: what that is. So epilepsy is and seizures are. All
- 16:52Speaker 1: they are is an uncontrolled firing of the brain. So
- 16:55Speaker 1: in the brain there is electric electric activity. One side
- 16:59Speaker 1: of the brain tells the other I'm talking to you
- 17:01Speaker 1: right now, I'm on money making conversations and all of that. Well,
- 17:04Speaker 1: imagine that the firing just is rapid. There's too much
- 17:08Speaker 1: of it going on. So two points of the brain
- 17:11Speaker 1: that should be speaking to each other and now speaking
- 17:13Speaker 1: to all points of the brain. And that's why they're shaking.
- 17:16Speaker 1: That's why their sound. You're and you're obviously lose your
- 17:19Speaker 1: balance and you're on the floor shaking. And now those
- 17:21Speaker 1: two points come back together over the course of a minute, however,
- 17:23Speaker 1: and now you're back. That's all it is. It's just
- 17:26Speaker 1: electroactivity of the brain. If you go to talk about
- 17:29Speaker 1: it dot org. That is my foundation. Uh, and it's
- 17:34Speaker 1: free and it's and it's all informative. Every big celebrity
- 17:37Speaker 1: you can imagine is on there asking the questions like
- 17:39Speaker 1: you just asked, is what is the seizure? And what
- 17:42Speaker 1: do you do if you see someone have a seizure
- 17:44Speaker 1: and the basic stuff, and then it gets more complicated.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It's kind of like a Facebook for people with epilepsy.
- 17:49Speaker 1: But but I saw a need to remove the stigma
- 17:52Speaker 1: because there's there's you know, the term grand mall. We
- 17:55Speaker 1: hear the term grand mall seizure brand mall. Is that
- 18:00Speaker 1: the big evil, the big bad because we thought that
- 18:03Speaker 1: people were possessed and we're talking about sixty seventy years
- 18:07Speaker 1: ago that did people were so scared. It's not. It's
- 18:11Speaker 1: just that and it can be caused by anything. My
- 18:14Speaker 1: son has has uh, he's he takes medication and he's
- 18:18Speaker 1: under control, thank god. But but um, you know, there
- 18:21Speaker 1: are millions and millions of people like my son who
- 18:24Speaker 1: are living well with epilepsy, and you know, you there's
- 18:28Speaker 1: there should be no stigma attached to it and we
- 18:29Speaker 1: should all know what to do because you know, um,
- 18:33Speaker 1: I think it's like, what is it. One in five
- 18:35Speaker 1: people could and will have a seizure in their life.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Doesn't mean they have epilepsy, but they could have something
- 18:40Speaker 1: that flash lights, you know, something could cause it. Now,
- 18:44Speaker 1: the band raises funds you know this part of the
- 18:46Speaker 1: charitable campaign for your foundation. Explain how that works. And
- 18:50Speaker 1: also any websites we can go to to make donations.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Oh sure, um, so you've got to talk about it
- 18:55Speaker 1: dot org to find out about epilepsy specifically in my website.
- 18:58Speaker 1: But the band was started because I was like, how
- 19:00Speaker 1: do I create a business, How do I create a
- 19:03Speaker 1: a vertical or a you know, something that's generating money
- 19:06Speaker 1: for for charity on an ongoing basis, And then selfishly,
- 19:09Speaker 1: how do I have a blast? I mean, I played
- 19:10Speaker 1: the drums. I'm not a professional musician, but I was like,
- 19:13Speaker 1: wait a minute, let's so so I had that in
- 19:15Speaker 1: my mind. I've always wanted to do that. I was
- 19:17Speaker 1: on the show House and Hugh Laurie, star of the show.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I was a guest star on the show, and then
- 19:22Speaker 1: right out and we were talking about music he plays music.
- 19:25Speaker 1: And then I met I met this guy, Jamie Denton.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I met another guy, and the met Terry Hatcher. All
- 19:29Speaker 1: these people I knew had music the ability to play music,
- 19:32Speaker 1: but they weren't in bands. And then I got asked
- 19:34Speaker 1: to play them at the Emmy's the post Emmy party
- 19:38Speaker 1: for TV Guide, and they said, hey, don't you play
- 19:41Speaker 1: in a literally this happened. Don't you play in a
- 19:44Speaker 1: celebrity band? And I didn't. I didn't have a band,
- 19:47Speaker 1: but I said yes. I was like sure, and I
- 19:50Speaker 1: put this band together and we we played this party.
- 19:53Speaker 1: And now twelve years later, we've raised over six million
- 19:56Speaker 1: dollars for the various charities that we support. My being epilepsy.
- 20:01Speaker 1: But Scott Grimes, who is on Orville and he's on
- 20:04Speaker 1: American Dad million shows, he's does lupus, and then we've
- 20:07Speaker 1: got cancer. We've got this that we support about ten
- 20:11Speaker 1: Jesse Spencer from from Chicago, Fire, Adrian past Our, Bob Guinea,
- 20:15Speaker 1: all these wonderful, wonderful guys. Um they all have charities
- 20:19Speaker 1: they support. We play gigs, we play corporate gigs. So
- 20:22Speaker 1: there's anybody out there who's about to hire another, you know,
- 20:26Speaker 1: band that like Chicago or something like that. Think about
- 20:29Speaker 1: hiring band from tv B, a n B from tv P,
- 20:34Speaker 1: a band from TV dot org. We play. We're playing
- 20:37Speaker 1: Comic Con this year, this huge concert we're about to
- 20:40Speaker 1: play at Sony Studios for a cancer charity on the
- 20:43Speaker 1: fifteenth of July. And we you know, we have a
- 20:45Speaker 1: great time. We rehearse, we have fun. But the band
- 20:48Speaker 1: is awesome. Like it's just a really fun band to have.
- 20:52Speaker 1: We played covers the only way I tell people. It's
- 20:54Speaker 1: familiar faces playing familiar music. And we raise money for church.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Oh my main go to talk about it dot org.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Thank you man for being on my show. And if
- 21:04Speaker 1: you need me you I am a club member. Okay,
- 21:07Speaker 1: no they know this. I can't sing, but I can host,
- 21:10Speaker 1: So if you ever need a host, Rushean McDonald's the host. Man.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Congratulations being a comic car. You all know it's gonna
- 21:17Speaker 1: be packed. It's gonna be congratulations, And God bless your
- 21:23Speaker 1: son come along strong, and your your wife and the
- 21:25Speaker 1: other two children. Keep being you, man, because I love you.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I literally can tell you. I love Greg Man. I
- 21:32Speaker 1: love you too, Man. I really appreciate it, and we
