- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now one and only. Uh huh. Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show, Yeah you do. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:13Speaker 1: radio show. But like I said the other day, you
- 2:14Speaker 1: got something too, though, don't you God didn't done something
- 2:17Speaker 1: wonderful for you? You just gotta thank him for it,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know. Uh, in the midst of all that's going
- 2:23Speaker 1: on in my life and in your life. You know,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I always used myself as an example because well, I
- 2:30Speaker 1: mean that way. I guarantee one I know what I'm
- 2:33Speaker 1: talking about. Um here here's the situation, you know, with
- 2:37Speaker 1: everything that's going on in my life and all the
- 2:40Speaker 1: things I'm asking God for in the midst of uh
- 2:46Speaker 1: taxing and a very trying situation. That's very challenging for
- 2:50Speaker 1: me right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps on
- 2:55Speaker 1: surprising me. He keeps doing things. And I want you
- 2:59Speaker 1: to look at your life. Or for a second, let's
- 3:03Speaker 1: make two columns here. Let's make a column of all
- 3:07Speaker 1: the things you want from God. You know, just do
- 3:10Speaker 1: that throughout the course of the day. You know, you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: run down the list of all the things you're asking
- 3:15Speaker 1: God for, all the things you're praying for, the things
- 3:18Speaker 1: you aspire to, what you your dreams, your visions, whatever
- 3:22Speaker 1: it is. Just make a column list of all those things.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Let's make three lists. And then the second list, I
- 3:29Speaker 1: want you to make a list of everything that you've
- 3:35Speaker 1: been asking God for, so I guess that could be
- 3:38Speaker 1: a little bit of the same. But this third list,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I want you to do a check off point. I
- 3:42Speaker 1: want you to do a make a list of everything
- 3:45Speaker 1: that God has given you that you've asked him for.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Just think about it like that for a second. I
- 3:52Speaker 1: may be explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm
- 3:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull it together. For you make a list
- 3:58Speaker 1: of everything you're asking God for, just just listed. You know.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It's okay, it's a dream board. You can call it that.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I got one, it's a vision board. You know. Every
- 4:06Speaker 1: everybody's got something you hope for. Make a list. Now.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I want you to make another list of everything you've
- 4:14Speaker 1: asked God for that he's given you already. See this
- 4:19Speaker 1: is a good list because sometimes and what I've been
- 4:23Speaker 1: guilty of and maybe you too, in in my request
- 4:27Speaker 1: list on my dream board, I keep focusing so hard
- 4:31Speaker 1: sometimes on the what I'm yet to receive. I keep
- 4:36Speaker 1: focusing so hard on the what I hope he gives me.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I keep focusing so hard on the things that I
- 4:43Speaker 1: yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes, as he
- 4:48Speaker 1: starts checking off my wish list the things I've asked
- 4:53Speaker 1: for in the past that have come to pass that
- 4:55Speaker 1: he's given me, I sometimes, in praying for what I
- 4:59Speaker 1: want forget to thank Him for what He's done for me.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And I'm currently in the middle of that situation. And
- 5:07Speaker 1: this morning when I woke up, I really, man, I
- 5:09Speaker 1: just got on my knees this morning and I quit
- 5:12Speaker 1: tripping for a second. I said, Man, hey, God, you
- 5:14Speaker 1: know what, I really do need all them things I'm
- 5:18Speaker 1: asking for, and I'm really am believing that you're gonna
- 5:20Speaker 1: give it to me. But in the mean time, though, Man,
- 5:24Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here? I had to
- 5:28Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
- 5:32Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally and and look. Or
- 5:34Speaker 1: you can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, so just leave yourself in it. Then.
- 5:39Speaker 1: But man, I started looking at the eye part of me,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and I started looking around at what's happening overall. Like, man,
- 5:47Speaker 1: he has kept my family together and in spite of
- 5:51Speaker 1: the attempts to tear it apart. I look at all
- 5:53Speaker 1: of that. I look at how he's blessing my children
- 5:56Speaker 1: with the desires of their heart, which I pray for
- 5:58Speaker 1: my kids. You know, I want my kids to have
- 6:00Speaker 1: a better life than I've had. I really really do.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I don't want them to take as long as it
- 6:05Speaker 1: took me to get it together. I really really don't.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to say, hey, man, if you go to college,
- 6:11Speaker 1: this is what you can be. Don't do like your
- 6:12Speaker 1: father did. Don't go three years drop out throw yourself
- 6:15Speaker 1: into a spiral and then got to start to scratch
- 6:18Speaker 1: all over again, you know. And and for the most
- 6:20Speaker 1: part so far, you know, they're doing quite well of it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You know. You know they're getting kicked around a little bit,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but that's life. I started thinking of the blessings that
- 6:30Speaker 1: he's helped me overcome with some of the previous mistakes
- 6:35Speaker 1: I've made in relationships in my life. And then I
- 6:38Speaker 1: started looking about the things he's blessed me with that
- 6:41Speaker 1: I've been asking him for. But since I've moved on
- 6:44Speaker 1: from it, I forgot to keep thinking him because I
- 6:47Speaker 1: gotta always thank God for a roof over my head,
- 6:50Speaker 1: because guess what, when I was asking for the roof
- 6:52Speaker 1: and I didn't really have it, then he gave me
- 6:54Speaker 1: one that since he gave it to me, what, I'm
- 6:56Speaker 1: just cool now. I can't ever go back to him
- 6:59Speaker 1: and go, hey, man, I really do appreciate this roof
- 7:01Speaker 1: over my head because that was a time when I
- 7:03Speaker 1: was living in a car. But see, so every morning
- 7:06Speaker 1: I wake up, I gotta remember the fact that I
- 7:08Speaker 1: have a home now, because I gotta look back and go, man,
- 7:12Speaker 1: that was time, Steve, when you didn't have no home.
- 7:14Speaker 1: But see, we forget what God has done for us
- 7:18Speaker 1: because in our column that won't column, the need column,
- 7:23Speaker 1: We oftentimes forget for the columns and the check marks,
- 7:27Speaker 1: as He's already fulfilled in our life. You've got to
- 7:30Speaker 1: take inventory every now and then daily if possible. But
- 7:35Speaker 1: I know we're humans. We're not gonna do that. I don't.
- 7:38Speaker 1: But you've got to take inventory of your life to say, hey,
- 7:43Speaker 1: what has God done for me? Because man, you're overlooking
- 7:47Speaker 1: as He's doing these wonderful things for you, because there's
- 7:51Speaker 1: so much only yet to be fulfilled. I don't have
- 7:54Speaker 1: part of your life. You forget that sex and man,
- 7:58Speaker 1: how crazy is that that, of all God has done
- 8:01Speaker 1: for me, that I keep wanting so many more things,
- 8:05Speaker 1: needing so many more things, hoping so many things come
- 8:09Speaker 1: to pass and get fulfilled I forget to check off
- 8:12Speaker 1: the list and take inventory today. Take inventory of your life.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You will find out that God is watching you, that
- 8:20Speaker 1: He is really really watching over you in spite of yourself,
- 8:24Speaker 1: in spite of your shortcomings, because we all got him.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Please know, I do you know? And remember something else too.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Change is good, but change is challenging. Accept the challenge
- 8:37Speaker 1: that it is. Look, a lot of you come up
- 8:40Speaker 1: to me all the time and say, Steve Man, thank you, man, boy,
- 8:44Speaker 1: you in the morning. Man, I really be needing that well,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Like I said it a hundred times, but I'm gonna
- 8:49Speaker 1: say it again, y'all, I'll be needing it too. You know,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you understand sometimes what what what God is dealing with
- 8:57Speaker 1: me is for me. But now in a sharing position
- 9:01Speaker 1: where I can open up and if I just if
- 9:03Speaker 1: I just quit being so about me and become a
- 9:06Speaker 1: little bit more transparent, I can maybe some of me
- 9:10Speaker 1: that's happening to me is happening to you, and you
- 9:12Speaker 1: could see some of this in me. That's why I
- 9:14Speaker 1: used myself as an example, because man, I'm catching it too, y'all.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I ain't perfect either. So for those of you that
- 9:22Speaker 1: come up to me and say that, I want you
- 9:23Speaker 1: to understand these these talks in the morning, Man, this
- 9:27Speaker 1: is important for me because man, I need these conversations
- 9:32Speaker 1: from God. I need God to continue to strengthen me,
- 9:35Speaker 1: to show me the way to help me understand what's
- 9:39Speaker 1: happening to me. And see, as we've all those of
- 9:42Speaker 1: you who have made the decision to change, to become
- 9:45Speaker 1: a better person, a better woman, a better boy or
- 9:47Speaker 1: better girl, a better man for those you have made
- 9:50Speaker 1: the decision to change. Change is a challenge, and accept
- 9:53Speaker 1: the challenge because it's gonna come. Because right out of
- 9:55Speaker 1: that here come to hate us. Here they come people
- 9:59Speaker 1: you don't even know, discussing your life and your change.
- 10:02Speaker 1: If God see you really really mean what you say
- 10:06Speaker 1: in spite of what they say about you, God will
- 10:09Speaker 1: raise you above the frase. He'll keep promoting you. He'll
- 10:13Speaker 1: keep blessing you, He'll keep moving you up. He will
- 10:17Speaker 1: use you as a show off point. He'll show you off. Man.
- 10:21Speaker 1: He'll make you. He'll make you look good to people,
- 10:24Speaker 1: man who wish you'd fall all day long, and so
- 10:27Speaker 1: to all your haters. All your haters will end up
- 10:29Speaker 1: just watching you rise. Man, They will watch you continue
- 10:32Speaker 1: to grow. That's what God will do for you. Man.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You can fool the world, but you can't fool God.
- 10:38Speaker 1: God know your heart, He knows your every thought. Man.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So change is good. But change is a challenge. Accept
- 10:45Speaker 1: the challenge, Expect the haters, expect the unnecessary. But God
- 10:50Speaker 1: has strengthen you and get you through it all. Man,
- 10:52Speaker 1: y'all doing swell this morning Man. Don't let nobody make you.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Thank you all keep talking to God. All right, you're

- 13:08Speaker 1: Normally when I say that, there's a lot of ones
- 13:10Speaker 1: and we'll go ahead, Steven oh Man. I wanted to
- 13:19Speaker 1: thank some really cool people who came out for the
- 13:22Speaker 1: women's program, Anthony Hamilton's mother's program. Zane came out for
- 13:29Speaker 1: the Moneary program, Cynthia Bailey came out, Maryland Booker came
- 13:36Speaker 1: out from Morgan Stanley, Uh, Mickey Taylor came about. I
- 13:42Speaker 1: wanted to thank them for coming out participating because we
- 13:44Speaker 1: have a mother's program too. And the mother's program was
- 13:47Speaker 1: at the Marriott Gateway out by the airport and we
- 13:52Speaker 1: were hour and a half south at the Rock Ranch
- 13:54Speaker 1: Chick fil a Rock Ram. All mothers, yeah, all mothers
- 13:58Speaker 1: for one one grandmother whose a little boy with Mexico.
- 14:04Speaker 1: How could one participate in the mother's program you can't
- 14:08Speaker 1: just asking, just trying to help, and the zone brings
- 14:11Speaker 1: some of them nasty. I don't know what. I don't
- 14:14Speaker 1: do the Mother's program. I'm down that a whole time
- 14:17Speaker 1: with the boys. Something some great young men this weekend,
- 14:21Speaker 1: some lives and then there's some boys that you know,
- 14:24Speaker 1: you gotta tell us, Yeah, ano their stories. I gotta
- 14:29Speaker 1: figure out which one I could say, because these boys
- 14:33Speaker 1: right here, man, this is not a church program. Alright.
- 14:36Speaker 1: So when we come back, Steve is gonna tell us
- 14:39Speaker 1: a story from the mentoring camp that he can tell
- 14:41Speaker 1: us on the arrow. Okay, we'll be back at thirty
- 14:43Speaker 1: two after you're listening to Steve show. Coming to Own

- 15:06Speaker 1: and the magic of falling and staying in love. Watch
- 15:10Speaker 1: what critics are already posting about. Love is bold, refreshing,
- 15:14Speaker 1: and the black love story that we all have been
- 15:16Speaker 1: waiting for. Love is series premiere tonight at ten nine
- 15:21Speaker 1: Central on Own. Alright, Steve, you're back, uh with more
- 15:27Speaker 1: on the mentoring camp that you did over the weekend,
- 15:30Speaker 1: over the Father's Day weekend, like you do every single year.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Great job. Yeah, you deserve the day off yesterday. Now,
- 15:36Speaker 1: I know you have some stories, Steve, because every year
- 15:39Speaker 1: you have great stories from the mentoring camp. How was
- 15:41Speaker 1: it this year? Well, you know, it was excellent. A
- 15:45Speaker 1: couple of problem boys, like always, yeah, they try to slicky,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know what I ain't gonna do, what I ain't
- 15:50Speaker 1: gonna do. You know, we even had uh, you know,
- 15:55Speaker 1: a couple of boys was a little bit extra, you know,
- 15:59Speaker 1: but that's that's to be expected, you know. And uh,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you know, overall, you know, we got through to most
- 16:04Speaker 1: of them. You know, some of them gonna try to
- 16:07Speaker 1: be you know, still think that way is the best way,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and they will find out that it won't be. But
- 16:12Speaker 1: for the most part that we had a group of
- 16:14Speaker 1: really really good kids came down there to learn and
- 16:19Speaker 1: to be trained and taught in the area of manhood
- 16:23Speaker 1: and dream building. I think we got through to a
- 16:25Speaker 1: lot of the boys. You know. It's it's always good,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you know, to reach them, you know, like we try to,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you know, and then we talk about faith too. You know,
- 16:34Speaker 1: we try to get the kids to include God in
- 16:36Speaker 1: their life, which can be a tremendous help. I don't,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know, point them into any particular religion or faith.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You know, you can go with Christ if you want to,
- 16:46Speaker 1: and if you don't want to, you're gonna go to Hell. Right,
- 16:51Speaker 1: what I'm actually doing here beg you. This ain't Sunday School. Now,
- 16:56Speaker 1: I'm off of your alternative. And you don't want that alternative,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you go with? You go with your one. That's smart.
- 17:02Speaker 1: If you think hell is a manageable temperature, to go
- 17:05Speaker 1: ahead and try to cuse God or go to Hell,
- 17:08Speaker 1: it's not really manageable. Hadn't tried, ain't with these kids?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Don't tell him? Because I actually asked my older brother now,
- 17:18Speaker 1: and I was so sick of going to church because
- 17:19Speaker 1: we went all the time. I actually asked my older
- 17:23Speaker 1: brother one time, question what is the little bro? I said,
- 17:26Speaker 1: how hot is head? Because if you say like one
- 17:32Speaker 1: something like that, because they're just gonna go to head
- 17:35Speaker 1: because I I ain't playing sports. I'm just sitting up
- 17:39Speaker 1: in here, all these Bible studies and all this. If
- 17:41Speaker 1: you just give me a temperature, I can hell, because
- 17:43Speaker 1: I think I can do one. I said, I'm gonna
- 17:47Speaker 1: go to Hell. I'm gonna get Yeah, I'm gonna go
- 17:50Speaker 1: to Hell. They ain't that bad if you send me
- 17:51Speaker 1: to fifteen, I got to go and keep trying to
- 17:53Speaker 1: go to heaven. And my brother when when he got
- 18:00Speaker 1: through looking at me, he said, hey, man, don't let mommy.
- 18:02Speaker 1: He's don't let momma, he said, because she's gonna beat
- 18:05Speaker 1: you right on in the hill today when you wake
- 18:08Speaker 1: up in the morning, you're being here. If you're gonna
- 18:10Speaker 1: thank you, then we did ask him. My mama didn't
- 18:14Speaker 1: play that having the hell jokes stuff. It was no jokes.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I don't know any don't mess with the Lord now. Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 1: so add some great stories. What this one little boy,
- 18:29Speaker 1: one little boy at the camp was bragging to the
- 18:31Speaker 1: little boys about burning his grandmama house. And so the
- 18:37Speaker 1: little boy I was just sitting in the circle looking
- 18:39Speaker 1: at and going, hey man, how's that cool? You burn
- 18:42Speaker 1: your grandmama house? He about sixteen, talking all this track.
- 18:46Speaker 1: So one of the boys just got about the circle
- 18:48Speaker 1: casually came over there to me and some cues and
- 18:51Speaker 1: we're sitting up watching them play basketball. There was two
- 18:53Speaker 1: hundreds some boys out there, so you know they're being
- 18:55Speaker 1: other groups. And I ain't no snitching nothing. But stood
- 19:00Speaker 1: over here, man just bragging about burning, browing moa house down. Man,
- 19:03Speaker 1: that ain't cool. So the one of my friend brothers
- 19:06Speaker 1: said where he at? So he go over there and
- 19:09Speaker 1: he pointed at the little boy. But but the but
- 19:11Speaker 1: the frat brother got the wrong boy picked this little
- 19:16Speaker 1: bit of dude out the bunch. The little this dude
- 19:18Speaker 1: at the camp, I called him roach like what you
- 19:21Speaker 1: should call? This? A little boy to camp? So I said,
- 19:23Speaker 1: come here, man, So he brought him all the way
- 19:26Speaker 1: over to us. He said, hey, man, so how to
- 19:30Speaker 1: hell you bragging about burning your grandmama that? A little
- 19:35Speaker 1: boy said? Who? The el said, I burned my email
- 19:40Speaker 1: from grandmama house done. Ain't going my grandmama house down,
- 19:45Speaker 1: And everybody gonna do no sugar honey iced tea like that.
- 19:49Speaker 1: He said, Man, dude, do me faith, give me give
- 19:52Speaker 1: my favorite sir, show me who's saying I burned my
- 19:55Speaker 1: grandma house down. So I'm go and talk with him
- 19:58Speaker 1: right now. I promise you I I ain't know I
- 20:01Speaker 1: ain't burning my grandma. I love my grandmother boy, let
- 20:04Speaker 1: me tell you something. Man, Me and the QS were
- 20:07Speaker 1: sitting on the bleachers, and you know we posted me
- 20:09Speaker 1: mentors an example. Boy we had to put we got
- 20:15Speaker 1: to we had to climb. I didn't bleachers. We were
- 20:18Speaker 1: laughing so damn hard at this little boy hold out said,
- 20:22Speaker 1: I buried my email from Grandmama house down. Show me
- 20:26Speaker 1: the email that's said, I burned this little boy so serious.
- 20:32Speaker 1: And you know we can't get you know, because they're cussing.
- 20:36Speaker 1: You know, I'm laughing. Tell a person not to cuss.
- 20:38Speaker 1: So not cussing is not a rule at my camp,
- 20:42Speaker 1: even for the boys, because I gotta meet them where
- 20:44Speaker 1: they at. You understand, you know I got we trying
- 20:47Speaker 1: to get them to be better and all this here,
- 20:49Speaker 1: but you know, all this leading them to Christ, you
- 20:51Speaker 1: know college. No, I gotta get them turned in another direction.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You told Imo, leading you to Christ into college. I
- 20:59Speaker 1: gotta get these boys out these gangs and and and
- 21:02Speaker 1: and and this water in theyre having with theirselfs with
- 21:06Speaker 1: the with the We have counselors there, we have nurses

- 21:23Speaker 1: go around and room and we ask them, and I mean, boy,
- 21:26Speaker 1: they'd be lighting these daddies up, man, And then they
- 21:29Speaker 1: bring them up in a barrel and were thrown the
- 21:31Speaker 1: papers away. And we had a minister from South Carolina,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Bishop Pierce, I think was his name. This dude was
- 21:38Speaker 1: the most powerful speak I've had. He told them boys
- 21:41Speaker 1: about forgiveness. This boy out of out of Carolina. This
- 21:45Speaker 1: boy was cold. And so that's and every boy in
- 21:48Speaker 1: there was crying, every little boy in it. Wow, sounds
- 21:53Speaker 1: like it was powerful, Steve. This year, huh, this year,
- 21:57Speaker 1: I think it was as good as you. Even though
- 21:59Speaker 1: we didn't have the middle terry. The frat brothers will
- 22:01Speaker 1: make us fire. Showed up in big numbers, big numbers,
- 22:05Speaker 1: man and lead us to these boys. And it wasn't
- 22:08Speaker 1: a stringent what I took the boot camp element out
- 22:11Speaker 1: of it, and it was very effective for the boys
- 22:14Speaker 1: because all I'm trying to do is teach a manhood
- 22:16Speaker 1: and dream going. I think we got to messure it
- 22:17Speaker 1: through so I will get his camp of team. Oh great, Okay,
- 22:21Speaker 1: all right, all right, so here we go. Coming up

- 32:27Speaker 1: having fun, I messed around, grabbed the wrong card. Yeah,
- 32:30Speaker 1: I use your card a little bit. But at the
- 32:33Speaker 1: end of the day, you know how you grabbed the

- 32:43Speaker 1: Now how you grab you you grab a black card
- 32:46Speaker 1: knowing you ain't got but a silver card. So now

- 34:36Speaker 1: said on its Facebook page that Ali, that's an elephant
- 34:40Speaker 1: that once lived at Michael's Neverland ranch, moon walked out
- 34:44Speaker 1: of his enclosure on Sunday and ended up in a courtyard.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Zoo officials say workers accidentally left a gate open and
- 34:52Speaker 1: Ali the elephant tried to beat it. He was. He
- 34:56Speaker 1: was on the loose for about twenty minutes before zoo
- 34:59Speaker 1: workers were able to use food to entice him back
- 35:02Speaker 1: to his enclosure. Fortunately, no one was hurt and Alie
- 35:07Speaker 1: is safe, so that's the good news. What happened? What
- 35:11Speaker 1: do you mean? I just read the story with as
- 35:13Speaker 1: George Wallace his mama it was Father's Day. She wanted
- 35:17Speaker 1: to go wish him a happy Father's Day because you
- 35:20Speaker 1: know he don't know his real daddy. So he left
- 35:23Speaker 1: a zoo to George, happy for you? Man dead, He said,
- 35:33Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's Father's Day tomorrow. I Miss Anna

- 35:46Speaker 1: morning everybody. This is and tried with the news well.

- 36:12Speaker 1: the U s. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is defending the
- 36:14Speaker 1: new crackdown, telling an audience of police at the New
- 36:17Speaker 1: Orleans that America is faced with a choice whether we
- 36:20Speaker 1: want to be a country of laws or whether we
- 36:24Speaker 1: want to be a country without borders, and Sessions is
- 36:27Speaker 1: calling on lawmakers to come up with new immigration laws
- 36:29Speaker 1: to end what he describes as the quote lawlessness at
- 36:32Speaker 1: the border. And that's maybe two thousand youngsters have been

- 37:30Speaker 1: away from them as long as possible to get all
- 37:32Speaker 1: that free work out of them. Slavery in America had

- 37:58Speaker 1: he could just order it. We are going to have
- 38:01Speaker 1: the Air Force and we are going to have the
- 38:05Speaker 1: Space Force. Separate but equal. There's no place like space.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Good luck General Dunford and the Joint Chiefs. I want
- 38:14Speaker 1: to wish you a lot of luck with Space Force. Yeah,
- 38:19Speaker 1: Trump says he wants to establish you a supremacy and
- 38:21Speaker 1: out of space, we'll be back in more entertainment, Today's
- 38:23Speaker 1: trending topics twinning us after the hour Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 38:27Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. First Lady
- 38:31Speaker 1: Melania Trump wants a solution to the Trump administration policy
- 38:35Speaker 1: of separating immigrant children from their parents. I'm glad she's
- 38:39Speaker 1: speaking up on this. Also, in an op ed in
- 38:42Speaker 1: The Washington Post, former First Lady Mrs Laura Bush shared
- 38:46Speaker 1: her perspective. She said, I live in a border state.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries,
- 38:54Speaker 1: but this zero tolerance policy is cruel, It is immoral,
- 38:58Speaker 1: and it breaks my heart and um Steve. Nearly two
- 39:03Speaker 1: thousand immigrant children were separated from their parents over a
- 39:06Speaker 1: sixth day period in April and May. The President has
- 39:09Speaker 1: suggested he would reverse the policy if Democrats here we
- 39:13Speaker 1: go blaming Democrats again, would agree to his immigration demand,
- 39:17Speaker 1: including providing funds for a border wall the next was
- 39:21Speaker 1: gonna pay for. But yeah, yeah, and this is like
- 39:24Speaker 1: holding these kids hostage. Here's a guy who's who's not
- 39:31Speaker 1: a mother, But you ain't got to be a mother
- 39:33Speaker 1: to understand this. All you have to have been as
- 39:37Speaker 1: a child before just to know what they feel like,
- 39:40Speaker 1: to watch get towards your mama's own. This dude does
- 39:44Speaker 1: not get it, and the Republicans know that. But they're
- 39:48Speaker 1: sitting up here supporting this. And the Conservative Republican Party
- 39:52Speaker 1: is supposed to be the moral party of the country.
- 39:55Speaker 1: That's what they built their the stance of the Republican
- 39:59Speaker 1: being the moral core of the nation. What we want
- 40:04Speaker 1: is the right thing. We've we've followed the Bible that
- 40:08Speaker 1: death that's what all this is steemed from. That's how
- 40:11Speaker 1: they got all the people on their side. We followed
- 40:15Speaker 1: the Bible. We're doing it the right way. Those liberals
- 40:18Speaker 1: are too liberal, so they have these anti abortion things
- 40:24Speaker 1: that they stand on because it's not right to kill
- 40:26Speaker 1: a person. It is not right. They all one right
- 40:31Speaker 1: is not right. But I happen to also think that
- 40:34Speaker 1: a woman has a right to decide what to do
- 40:38Speaker 1: with her body. So I happen to think that. So
- 40:41Speaker 1: happen to think the conservatives are right, but then also
- 40:44Speaker 1: think that the other side is right and that a
- 40:47Speaker 1: woman has a right to choose because she the won't
- 40:50Speaker 1: got to do the work. See this is easy, these
- 40:52Speaker 1: men talking these laws because we we ain't gotta do
- 40:54Speaker 1: no work. We ain't got birth, no child, and we
- 40:57Speaker 1: and we ain't gotta be holding the bad for the
- 40:59Speaker 1: whole time a man and just walk off. That's the
- 41:01Speaker 1: view on gay marriage and all. And it's supposed to
- 41:04Speaker 1: be their stance on gays in marriage. But hold up,
- 41:12Speaker 1: Republicans are gay. Two Republicans want to marry one another
- 41:17Speaker 1: same sex too, So why would you not let these
- 41:20Speaker 1: people do this? But it's a conservative stance though so
- 41:23Speaker 1: they all take these stances. Man, If gay people want
- 41:26Speaker 1: to get married, why not? Why not? And you telling
- 41:30Speaker 1: them they can't, don't stop them from loving who they love. It,
- 41:35Speaker 1: don't stop that. That's why it's cool with everybody loving
- 41:37Speaker 1: whoever they want to love, because you're making a law
- 41:40Speaker 1: from the stop of damn thing. Yeah. Now, coming up
- 41:43Speaker 1: at thirty or four, after the hour, comedy roulette. We
- 41:46Speaker 1: will spend the will and we come back right after this.
- 41:50Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve. All right, Steve J is here,
- 41:55Speaker 1: he's ready for comedy roulette. What you got very simple?
- 42:00Speaker 1: Take five subjects, put them on a wheel, spun the
- 42:04Speaker 1: wheel where it stop. All right, Here we go with
- 42:09Speaker 1: the subjects today. Number one, I had no idea that
- 42:12Speaker 1: bill was overdue. That a lot too. I'm gonna help
- 42:19Speaker 1: you out. But that baby doesn't look anything like me. Okay,
- 42:23Speaker 1: I just want you to know that I like it. Three,
- 42:27Speaker 1: it's it's it's four of us in this car. Somebody
- 42:31Speaker 1: sanking and it ain't me. Number four. When you're ready
- 42:39Speaker 1: to get serious about this relationship, give me a call
- 42:44Speaker 1: on number five. If I said this to all of
- 42:48Speaker 1: you guys before, some people can't take a joke spinning
- 42:52Speaker 1: care Comedians can't take a joke. Oh look where it stopped.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Some people can't take a joke. I'm so glad it
- 43:11Speaker 1: stopped there because this does not pertain to them. Why
- 43:15Speaker 1: at all? I can't get it and I can't take it.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I'm in the taking it. I love it when the
- 43:22Speaker 1: jokes on me. Bring it, bring it all the time.
- 43:26Speaker 1: What you got? I'll tell you what what? Okay, listen,
- 43:31Speaker 1: I'm I know I can't take it. I don't know that.
- 43:35Speaker 1: But but the fact that, the fact that you cross
- 43:37Speaker 1: had of talking to me, and I'll bring it up.
- 43:41Speaker 1: You mad at me? You can't take the joke? You
- 43:45Speaker 1: see all that's happening. What's the subject again? Some people
- 43:52Speaker 1: can't take a joke. Now, Hey man, I pranked your mama. Okay,
- 43:59Speaker 1: but you're gonna shoot him. You can't take a joke, brother,
- 44:08Speaker 1: We'll just cause your eyes is the biggest eyes on
- 44:12Speaker 1: the morning show. Don't mean you can see everything? Why
- 44:17Speaker 1: what if he was talking about I'm not I don't
- 44:20Speaker 1: know if not me? Yeah, you're right. Some people can't
- 44:24Speaker 1: take a joke. You said one little thing, they shut down.
- 44:28Speaker 1: They all up in their feelings. May have been about me,
- 44:33Speaker 1: but James is definitely about telling me. Okay, Okay, I'm
- 44:44Speaker 1: saying I don't know. I can't take a joke. I
- 44:47Speaker 1: know that. But if you got one shoe, he'll figure
- 44:50Speaker 1: then the other. And I noticed you you got cloth foot.
- 44:56Speaker 1: What you want me to do? I know I can't
- 44:59Speaker 1: take a joke. You asked me, You asked me how
- 45:03Speaker 1: my butt looking the Jane all I said, well, bigger
- 45:07Speaker 1: than it did yesterday. Now you we ain't doing nothing
- 45:12Speaker 1: to night now nothing, Come on, baby, like that joke.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Sometimes some people can't take a joke, But damn, you
- 45:24Speaker 1: ain't got to customy under your brother. You ain't got
- 45:28Speaker 1: to be too little more be ok Okay, So let
- 45:37Speaker 1: me just say this. Let me just put this out here.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Just because I own a comedy club, you ain't got
- 45:44Speaker 1: coming my club and point out things that ain't working. Okay,
- 45:48Speaker 1: I'm working on it. I ain't got one. I'll tell
- 45:56Speaker 1: you what. You know. People who can't taking joke, I
- 45:59Speaker 1: know I can't take one. But the point is I
- 46:02Speaker 1: know what I said. Both Damn dug why the police
- 46:05Speaker 1: got the heavy handcuff. I got to go to jail.
- 46:12Speaker 1: All right, Steve, you're ready, Well, some people can't talk
- 46:16Speaker 1: to joke man, but you need to just talk to
- 46:19Speaker 1: your mom about how she'd be looking. Okay, way to
- 46:28Speaker 1: shut it down. Steve coming up in the top of
- 46:30Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after it's today's Strawberry Letter,
- 46:33Speaker 1: the subject the whole town's laughing at me, and uh,

- 49:37Speaker 1: man Um, and she got it from Kendrick. So I
- 49:40Speaker 1: kind of wanted to holl a to you know, which
- 49:43Speaker 1: you weren't actually man Like I said, Man, I've been
- 49:47Speaker 1: I've been down for a minute, you know. And uh

- 49:55Speaker 1: and my my bones, man, they my bones are deteriorating.
- 50:03Speaker 1: You know. Uh, that's that's kind of what I've what
- 50:06Speaker 1: I've been going through, man um. And if I don't
- 50:10Speaker 1: uh get the proper medication that I need, man, then
- 50:14Speaker 1: we you know it within the next three months here, dog,

- 51:14Speaker 1: You know, I don't know well actually actually uh the
- 51:19Speaker 1: doctor told me. Man, then if for six months, if
- 51:23Speaker 1: I drunk breast milk, it will, it will. It would
- 51:26Speaker 1: put enough calceum and stuff back into my bones that
- 51:30Speaker 1: would get me back up the seventy to eighty five
- 51:32Speaker 1: percent healthy. Yeah, I ain't got no beast. You know,
- 51:39Speaker 1: it's not. It's not you wrong you you don't you know,
- 51:43Speaker 1: but you know your your wife does though. Whoa you're
- 51:48Speaker 1: talking about my wife's breast. Man, I'm not not directly man,
- 51:52Speaker 1: I'm just saying that chickens, you know. I mean, if
- 51:56Speaker 1: I had her breast milk for like six months straight, man,
- 51:59Speaker 1: I to get back hold again. Man, Oh you'll talk
- 52:03Speaker 1: about a man's wife or her breast now, I just

- 54:51Speaker 1: reporting that Suge Knights mom, Maxine Chapman, died on Sunday,
- 54:55Speaker 1: surrounded by family at a hospital in Paramount, California. Yeah,
- 55:00Speaker 1: she should get that, give him that right. She was
- 55:03Speaker 1: seventy seven years Um. I don't know. They is hard
- 55:11Speaker 1: to get. Yeah. She she was seventy seven years old.
- 55:14Speaker 1: She suffered a stroke about a month ago, and her
- 55:16Speaker 1: health has been on the decline since. Sugar is under
- 55:19Speaker 1: more restrictive conditions than most due to alleged attempts at
- 55:23Speaker 1: witness tampering. So yeah, we don't know. I hope. All right,
- 55:30Speaker 1: we're gonna move on here. It's time now for today's
- 55:33Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. The subject is the whole town's laughing at me,
- 55:36Speaker 1: and we'll get to that right after this. You're listening

- 55:43Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter, guys, and if you need some advice
- 55:46Speaker 1: on relationship, dating, work, sex, parenting and more, submit your
- 55:50Speaker 1: Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey FM dot com and click
- 55:53Speaker 1: submit Strawberry Letter. Okay, it's just that simple. Let's go
- 55:57Speaker 1: and nephew buggalo up and hold on tight. We got
- 56:01Speaker 1: it for you. Here. It is the strong very letter.
- 56:05Speaker 1: You did. Re nailed it. Let me hear you can't
- 56:17Speaker 1: you tell me? Come on, alright, subject the whole town's
- 56:22Speaker 1: laughing at me, and it has nothing to do with
- 56:25Speaker 1: the Teddy Pendergrass song. Okay, Dear Stephen Shirley, I am
- 56:28Speaker 1: a thirty seven year old man and I've been dating
- 56:31Speaker 1: a thirty one year old woman for three years. She
- 56:34Speaker 1: is the love of my life and I want to
- 56:36Speaker 1: ask her to marry me. But I recently found out
- 56:39Speaker 1: some disturbing info about her. I got an anonymous message
- 56:44Speaker 1: on social media and it got my full attention. The
- 56:48Speaker 1: message said that my woman was very friendly in all caps,
- 56:52Speaker 1: very friendly with a lot of guys when she was
- 56:55Speaker 1: in college, especially the athletes. I was shocked and anger,
- 57:00Speaker 1: so I confronted her immediately. I asked her if it
- 57:04Speaker 1: was true, and she admitted it. She says she does
- 57:07Speaker 1: not want any secrets between us, and she told me
- 57:10Speaker 1: more about her sex life before she met me. She
- 57:13Speaker 1: said she had threesomes over the years with men and women,
- 57:17Speaker 1: and whenever she went back home to visit her parents,
- 57:20Speaker 1: she had sex with a few of her classmates that
- 57:22Speaker 1: still lived in town. We just went to her high
- 57:25Speaker 1: school reunion and she said that at least five of
- 57:27Speaker 1: the guys were there. Now I can't help but think
- 57:30Speaker 1: that whenever we go to cookouts, concerts, football games, even church,
- 57:34Speaker 1: she has had sex with some of the guys there.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong. I've had my share of sexual encounters,
- 57:41Speaker 1: but nothing in comparison to hers. If I had known
- 57:44Speaker 1: all of this before, there is no way I would
- 57:46Speaker 1: have stayed with her. Now I'm in too deep. I
- 57:50Speaker 1: love this woman. I need Steve's honest opinion on this.
- 57:54Speaker 1: Do you think that her past can stay in the past.
- 57:56Speaker 1: Should I still propose to her and hope for the best? Well,
- 58:01Speaker 1: I'm sure that's a true statement. If you had known
- 58:03Speaker 1: all of this before, there's no way you would have
- 58:05Speaker 1: stayed with her. But now you're in too deep, like
- 58:08Speaker 1: you say, and I think the heart loves who it loves.
- 58:11Speaker 1: I mean, you say that she is the love of
- 58:13Speaker 1: your life. I mean I love this woman you say,
- 58:18Speaker 1: so go with that. I mean everyone everyone has a past,
- 58:22Speaker 1: including you, As you mentioned. Uh, this all happened in
- 58:26Speaker 1: the past before you. It happened before you, back when
- 58:29Speaker 1: she was in college. She's thirty seven years old. Now
- 58:32Speaker 1: the question is has she changed? The question is is
- 58:36Speaker 1: she still doing what she used to do? And you've
- 58:38Speaker 1: been dating her for three years, so I'm assuming the
- 58:41Speaker 1: answer is uh no. Uh. But she told you she
- 58:45Speaker 1: she was honest with you and and now you know
- 58:47Speaker 1: about her past. I understand you're angry. I understand your shocked.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I understand when you go, you know, your ego gets
- 58:53Speaker 1: involved and you're looking around seeing if you know she's
- 58:56Speaker 1: been with any of these guys. But she did what
- 58:58Speaker 1: she did, Yes, she was why back in the day.
- 59:00Speaker 1: She really was in the past. And it's just up
- 59:03Speaker 1: to you now whether you can take the heat and
- 59:06Speaker 1: and you know, get past her past now that you know, Steve,
- 59:12Speaker 1: see see right here, see see what I'm telling you
- 59:20Speaker 1: right here, see see see listen. Honesty ain't always the
- 59:27Speaker 1: best policy. Say that again. Honesty ain't always the best policy.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Sometimes it's down right stupid. Hit this man thirty seven
- 59:44Speaker 1: dating this woman thirty one, been three years. She the
- 59:47Speaker 1: love of his life. I want to ask her to
- 59:50Speaker 1: marry him, but find out some disturbing news. Got an
- 59:55Speaker 1: anonymous message see anonymous, no name attached. He is I
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: hate him trying to destroy something that they see is good.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: It ain't. It's it's amazing how people can't be happy
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: for one of them. Tell her that your woman was
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: very friendly with a lot of guys she was in college,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: especially the athletes. Your thirty seven that was six seven
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: years ago. You get out of college about four. I
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: asked her if it was true, and she admitted it.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Why right here, right here, this this, this doesn't even
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: had to be and we don't even had this. You
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: don't even start. What what made you admit it? She says,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: she doesn't want any secrets? Tween, why why why you
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: don't want to see? That's why they're secrets. See, you
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: have secrets so they can be seen. I got it.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I ain't count the secrets I got okay, but they're secrets,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: so I ain't gonna tell you what there is, because
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: because then they wouldn't be secrets no more. See. Somebody
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: always say, can you keep a secret? Hell yeah, Hell yeah,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: I can keep a secret, expecially if it's about me.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I swear to God I can keep my whole damn
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: mouth shut. Man. You ain't got to worry about here,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: nothing about me from me. Oh no, I have kept
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: a miss Universe thing a secret. If you asked me,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Steve did, if everybody had to saw it, got a knowlege.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: But what Stephen saw your miss Universe? That wasn't me,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: she told. Then she said she don't want no secrets,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: and she told me more about her sex life. Why see,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: that's like if the police bust you like they did
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: my partner. I had a partner man. They busted him
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: for robbing or Hallmark cars though um robbed. Now, little
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: did I know that my partner every Saturday after basketball
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: robbed the stoke. I don't know. Yeah, every Saturday after
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: we played basketball he robbed the stoke. Yeah, with a
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: with a blank gun. He robbed the stoke with a
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: blank gun every side. So the police get him down there.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: They got him on this one. I can't believe it
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: because he wasn't a church next day past and say
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: they're arrested. So and so I said, I'll be down.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: So I said, okay, cool he down now. Then the
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: pastor say, we got a bigger problem. He done admitted
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: to fifteen on Steve. We we gotta take a break
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: right here. Hang on, we'll have part two of Steve's
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: response and find out at the end of this story
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: from his friend about his friend. At twenty three after
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: the hour, Okay, you're listening, Steve show. All right, Steve,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: come on with part two of your Let's get back.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: This woman then admitted to her thirty seven year old
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: man that Fitna asked her to marry him because somebody
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: announcedly contact him on social media about her being real
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: friendly with athletes. She admitted and then said she didn't
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: want these secrets. So she saw telling the more she
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: didn't had three sons with men friends. Now I said,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: this is just like my partner that got arrested her
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: arm robber. They get him down there past to tell
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: us we got a problem. Paul got arrested farm Roberta
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: keep saying it man, okay, I'm back. So he said
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: we got a problem. So and so got arrested from robbery.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: We shot next day, passing tell we got a bigger problem.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: He didn't admit at the fifteen oh, because they said, well,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: we didn't have several of these robberies like this is
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: that you? Yeah? Why why why do you say that?
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Now I got to go to prison every Sunday at
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: church go visit him because he right there one Field Reformatory.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: So I had to go up there every Sunday to
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: visit him. My main question, she was like why company
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: fifteen I got you did the one we cod were
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: still at Holmers, but what what are you? And then
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: time about these other fifteen. Why is this girl talking
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: about before she met me? She said she had three
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: sons with men and women. Whenever she went back home
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: and visit her parents, she had sex with a few
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: classmates and still lived in town. And we just went
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: to high school for you, and she said at least
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: five of the guys was in there. Now, I can't
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: help but think that whenever we go to cook house, concerts,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: football games, even church, she has sex with some of
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: the guys. There. Shut your damn mouth. I have told
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: women on my talk show and everything. Your maximum number
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: that you can recall having sex with me is three.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: That's your maximum number? Flash sound Chris Dog? Double standard? Yeah?
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Can what tell us to No, dude, we ain't down.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Three is your number. And don't get me wrong, I've
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: had to share my I've had to share my sexual encounters,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: but nothing in comparison to hers. If I had known
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: all this before, there's no way I would have stayed
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: with her. Nami and too deep. I love this woman.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I need Steve's honest opinion on this. Do you think
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: that her past can stay in the past. Should I
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: still proposed her and hope for the best. Alright, here's
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: the real deal. She admitted this. She was wrong for
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: admitting it. You can't hold people's past against them. Everybody changes.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Everybody has the right to change. She said she didn't
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: want no secrets, so she came forward. Now listen, everybody changes.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: People get it right. People can live a bad life
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: or wrong life and get it right. As long as
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: that life is behind her. Let it stay behind. That's right,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: and give a woman a chance because you you can't
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: stop loving you. You're in deep, don't you in love
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: with But now you gotta put your big boy pass
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: on now if you love her that much, and y'all
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: really in love, y'all are gonna try for a new beginning.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: We need you might have to move move and you
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: definitely gotta quit going to you that you can't go
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: no more that y'all church gotta be out of town.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: And we gotta change her name. We got to go
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: down and get a new name. And he's a hair style.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: You need a funny nose and some amber face. You
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: need to lighten her skin, some bigs or something. Can't
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: be hu because every time somebody speak to it, you're
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: gonna be looking upside of the head. Uncle Steve soup girl,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: and what the hell you mean? What's up girl? I'm sorry, bro,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I'll just be went with school together and what else
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: you do together? Right there, You're gonna be real. You're
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: never gonna get over it. It's he can get over it,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: but that he can't. It can't be in his face.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: And that's the problem with trying to get over anything.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: It can't stay in your face. You gotta give yourself
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: a chance to move on. That's all you gotta do.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: And that's that's what you need to do. You probably
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: didn't need to move start over, y'all. Go somewhere and
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: have your family and stuff where they don't know him.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Calma Wash you know, yeah, because you think like a
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: witness protection program. I know, I got a lot of
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: partners in program. You know, it's places you can move.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I got a lot of partners in program. You know. Well,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: you know they had to, you know, shorten their sentence,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: so you had to get vout some information. They're snitching,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Like I told you, ain't no snitching. It's telling you know,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I don't snitch. I tell I tell you right now,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: don't come up over here with no crime because I'm
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: gonna have to tell if it means you and me,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: I'm letting you know. I'm telling it's not snitching. I'm
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: telling you right now iNFiNiT telling, don't come over here
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: with nothing criminal, because I'm gonna tell you. Let them know.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Don't include me. Bro. If you're coming in here talking
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: about doing something illegal, I'm telling you right now, stop
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: talking and get away from me, because if you ask me,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell it. Because I can't get drugged down
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: with you. I can't go to jail. Ain't none of
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: my cars over there. My chef ain't gonna be able
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: to come. It's just some stuff I ain't got used to.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: I'm not going to jail. One suit. Let's go, let's
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: go back, Let's go back. So every time y'all left
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: the basketball court on saying that you didn't know what
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: he was go to do, that dude went and committed
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: a Robbie. They had sixteen unsolved cases. And the way
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: he got caught was this time when he robbed the place.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: He pulled out and he paid a car and somebody
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: took his license plate number. So he driving down the
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: street and please pull him over. That's how he got busted. Man.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: And then he having a real gun, and and you know,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: and they took the money and everything here he got
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: a hunt the dollar. Oh my goodness. All right, Steve,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Coming up in ten minutes.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Advice to on how to have a successful marriage. You're
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: listening to Steven Show. All right, before we went to break,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: we said we were going to talk about marriage and
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: you can get back in on this one. Let's talk
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: about family two world parents. Yeah, we have to talk
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: about that. Well, so, um, I have a story here
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: about Beyonce and jay Z. They say they're committed to
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: their marriage. Remember when Beyonce released her album Lemonade, she
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: revealed on that, you know, about her heartbreak and her
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: anger over um finding out about Jay's infidelities, his cheating
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: and everything. Cheating and infidelity the same thing, because nobody
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: ever says that. They always say infidelity and some people
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: say it's just straight cheating. Yeah, uh it is, and
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: how they almost ended their marriage over it. Um. A
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: year later, jay Z's album four four four came out
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: and then he came clean about his cheating slash infidelities.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: J Uh, he had guilty, had pain over you know
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: what he had caused his wife and his child. They
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: were paining. They were pained about it. They were she
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: was hurt, the child was hurt, all of that, and um, yeah,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: like so many other married couples, Um, they weren't living
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: this picture perfect life that we believe that they were living,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: you know, because you think that they are. Absolutely so
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: they came clean. They let us know, and then you
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: show participating for somebody to you not that same show
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: all up in the middle is the fidelity and cheating,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: the same the same reason why you're asked him done.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Both you and he don't want to go back. He
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: ain't going back. No, nothing has to say, right, I've
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: never seen you that quiet before, Jack, So so what
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: steve seriously from you? Though? What's some good advice on
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: how to stay marriage, stay married and to weather these
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: storms because you know you will have them. A storm
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: is always going to uh, you know, come in a marriage,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: you have to weather some things. Well yeah, I mean
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: you know, I'm not an expert at it by any
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: stretch of imagination. Man, I just have to You have
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: to make up your mind that you want to be
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: married every day and you know, and you have to
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: deal with temptation. I mean, there's no difference from anybody.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Anybody's marriage. You're gonna deal with temptations, weakness or flesh.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: You're gonna deal with, you know, some things that you
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: know that you don't intend to happen. But you can
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: get off track, you know. You know you can't go
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: everywhere and then expect not to be You can't put
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: yourself in situations that can cause certain other things can happen,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: like something as innocent as a golf trip. Okay, but
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: you need to pay attention to where you're going on
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: your golf and who's going to be there. Hello, you
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: gotta make sure all dudes you're playing golf with just
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: like you got something of value at home that they
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: don't want to lose. Yeah, you're going golfing with a
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: bunch of dudes this single a while and then y'all
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: sitting up at night. Now, he man, come on, stop
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: by the room. Now, all of a sudden, the room crowded.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Hey man, Now you got to see now you can
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: put yourself in a bad you know, and you just
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: got to stay out of bad positions. Man, Ain't they
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: don't need a tempting yourself now, because it ain't it
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: ain't no, you know, ain't nobody. Ain't nobody everybody a hercules,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: you know, so you have to I just try to
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: keep I just try to stay out of those positions
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: in my life. Getting older has helped me. Yeah, when
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I was younger, I ain't know that. Yeah, I had
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: to learn, and boy, I show didn't learn. Well, let's
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: ask the person that just got off his second anniversary
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: celebration trip, and that would be your nephew. Steve asked me,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: what about marriage? You know what, what have you learned?
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: It's hard. It's just it's too much, you know, It's
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: what I mean, it's too much. I just think you
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: all the out of a month, you know, I think
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: for three weeks we do this a thing. You give
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: me a damn week off, you know, I see, I'm serious.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: I don't know who set it up the way it's
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: set up. The lord that would be the lord. Well,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: here's the thing. You always care married people. You ask
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: American house mad who is a lot of work, already
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: got a job, already got several jobs. But but don't
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: you get to take off job at the house. I don't.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I mean, it just ain't for everybody. It ain't for everybody. Well, Tommy,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: why are you thinking him? And you're married? I need
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: somebody to know who've been there? But why Junior? So
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: don't even look over here? But Junior, don't you think
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: about it? I mean, you're getting towards that. It's it's
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: that point where you know you gotta start thinking differently,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: you know, and that couple getting older. You know, I
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: just thought about it. You, Junior, enjoy the money you've
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: got at that age. Boy, shut up and damn mouth
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: in a Jewish store for money you got coming in
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: short this moment. But you know, let me on all seriousness.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: I have taken out a hit on myself. I hit
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: on myself that I have a hit man. I paid
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: him a lot of money. If he sees me in
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: a jurish though he is, and he sees me like
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: if I fall a week into temptation, what's that sound again?
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: I'm out? That's through the jewelrysh stole he called the mall.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: He follows me wherever I go. As you get a
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: ring up and you look at it, butt out of that.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Oh no hit killings in, I said, do not warn me,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: now take me out, take me Jay. Why don't you
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: do it like that? If you see you in going
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: into jewelry store, get a warning shot, just shoot it
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: off for something to dog reel or something spot. But
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: if you go in after the water shot and you
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: pick the ring up and you're looking at and you
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: put that loop in your eye, that's the dog. Put
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: that looping out, then you get this here, really, guys.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: All right, we also wanted to talk about family too,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: because we all have kids, we all have grown kids, um,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: and we wanted to talk about that their sense of
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: entitlement these days. We'll be back with more of the
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, guys, So before we
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: even started the show this morning. Uh, unbeknownst to all
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: of us, we're kind of in the same situation parenting wise, uh,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: in the sense that our kids are entitled. We have
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: these kids and they want us to give, give, give, give, give,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: and we give a lot of time. You want to give,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: you want to give kids? You don't know, I mean,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you don't not want a kid. But that's that's why
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: we're in a situation. And because we wanted to we
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: wanted our kids to have a better life than we had.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: You know, we worked really hard so we can have,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: you know, more than our parents did, so we could
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: give our children more. But can we have honest commerenation?
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Part of the problem with young people today, and I
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: know it's got to be a lot of people out
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: there dealing with it because they grew up in a
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: different time technology. They come with this sense of entitlement
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: it's supposed to happen instantly halls of Google. They don't
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: understand what it's even like as to look up information.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: It's that their fingertips. We was so much so different
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: from us, which created a different work ethic in most
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: of us. Our children today don't get that, and they
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: can be so obnoxious, growing up with the audacity to
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: say some of the things I don't like you. You
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: weren't there for me. How dare you? You know? And
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I set up and I look at them sometimes, and
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: I know other people are going through it, but I
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: look at some sometimes when I go, are you kidding me?
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: First of all, you have any idea what I did
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: to get here? Any idea? And then how dare you
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: hold me responsible for stuff you didn't have? Come on, now,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: are you for real? When I clearly didn't have it
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to get of to you, but gave you everything I hate,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: don't That's that's just I think sometimes they don't understand
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: that you're absence from being there put them in a
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: situation that they're in now to have and you wouldn't
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: you wouldn't have it. But you're absolutely right. They don't
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: understand it. They don't understand it. They and that's yeah,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: but they don't care though. That's the other thing. It's
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: not that they don't understand it so much it doesn't
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: matter to them. The time matters to them. They wanted
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: us there, and we have to see their side of it.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: You know. I had to do that with my own
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: daughter because I mean, as many people know who've been
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: listening to the show for years, Steve, of course, you know,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: you guys know that my mom, when she was live,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: she helped me raise my daughter. I mean, for the
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: most part, my daughter was with my mom for the
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: most part. That was my sacrifice. I didn't want to
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: do that, no, but it was the best thing for
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: my daughter at the time. That's the choice I made,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: you know, and I have to up with that choice.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: You know it. Man, we've been through it, definitely. We
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: We've my daughter and I we've been through it, you know,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: with her whole hating me and everything because I wasn't there. Steve,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: you know, we talked about this. It's just really hard.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: What do you do? But that old I hated you
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: see that. That's what I really just want to tell
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: my kids. Kiss my ass if you wouldn't, I don't
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: my ass, you know, to hear you talking about I
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: wasn't there. You know, I was out here trying to
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: be me. Yea, All this did you benefit from now?
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Was like Jay said, cause I wasn't there, and I
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: got what it took away. But if I had stayed there,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: what will we be at now? Though? We'd be back down. Yeah,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I have to understand. But then as a kid growing up,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: they really say that I have a better relationship with
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: my kids now, And because there was sometimes that I
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: thought I would never um, you know, have the respect
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: or have the kind of conversation or kind of relationship
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: that I have with my kids now. I just thought
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: it would never happen, We would never get past it.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: So they would never get past you know, not not
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: like him or disrespecting me or hating me. And I
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: can truly say that now at this particular point, it
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: is much better, and you know, I'm really thankful for that.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: But it was a struggle. It was definitely a struggle.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: But it's it's steady thrown up what the younger kids
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: are getting that the older ones didn't. It's it's constantly
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I didn't have that. I didn't have what they got.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I didn't get this. I didn't get that. I can't
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: fix that. We'll see, you guys have a different situation
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: because I don't have any more younger kids that I
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: know about that anybody brought up turn my youngest. We'll see.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I have a different situation because they have two daughters
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: at are the same age. Don't judge me, okay, don't
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: damn it, don't judge me. A nobody said no, no, no.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: I all I asked you was how old is your
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: young And I got two daughters that same ja, I
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: got two daughters at six. They're what they're called. Listen
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: to me, they're called what I learned on family feud,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: they're called Irish twins. Well, you are in a family
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: and your sibling is born in the same year as
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: they called them Irish twin. So Jay is black dog,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: that's just called the baby mama. Yeah, my my youngest
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: is my youngest, the youngest twins, we call them in twins.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: The twins are ported. I don't want to put their
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: age other that, but they're they're forty. Well I'm sorry, yes, sorry,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: I know. I know I'm in no position to do this,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: but I was judging. I keep it playing keeping my
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: oldest and seven. But yeah, we're all kind of going
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: through the same thing. You know what we're at it.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: We're all of us safety can say we're at a
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: very good place in our life. We've all been blessed.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: Even having this conversation. We're all on the radio talking
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: about what we've gone through and we're successful at it
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and kid still need work better place. Yeah, we're in
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: a better place. But then act like, see, this is
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: what I don't like. What you can keep doing is
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: bringing up the pass to me. I'm not gonna sitting
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: here with you and do this every time you want
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: to go through something, I'm not going We'll be back
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, guys, we're back.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: This conversation has turned into something really interesting. We were
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: talking about families and our children and their sense of
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: entitled In Stephen, you wanted to say that, you know what,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: it's two things. What young people got to grow up
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: and stop doing what these parents is. It's two things.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: It's guilty, which is the most meaningless emotion in the world.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Guilt serves nobody any purpose except the person that's applying
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: the guilt. And then that's for what to munipulate. And
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: so it's manipulation and guilt and those two things. It
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: kills me when children do that, because when you have kids,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: you're gonna it's gonna come back on you. You're going
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: to learn because to be a parent is to make
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: the ultimate sacrifice oftentimes and oftentimes ms while you're in
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: the process of sacrificing. These little stupid kids don't see it.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: All they want is like, surely say you're not here.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: I got what you're saying. But like I said on
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: the last break, if I have stayed there, I guess
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: where we'll be at back down? Now? Do you like
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: it here where we are? Now? Are you like it
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: back there? Where we was because you kill your ass
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: back there, but you're going without your daddy. No, I'm
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: not doing poe ass no more. What I'm doing no
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: ass was in the Bible as it's different, Temmy, you
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: had a solution, what was yours? I just you know,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: I got to a point where I'm just fed up
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: with it. So when you're coming, you're complaining, and um
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: you you're throwing up just two years in my face.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: You know I didn't get ain't But one thing I
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: can say, man, damn man, I think I think that's
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: how he feels. And that's how a lot of parents feel,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: of course, but that's how he feels. That's how every
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: time you don't get what you want, I think you want.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: Can I just say that as a circle of the
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: conversation that we had, that's an opinion that a lot
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: of parents are gonna take, and its reason why some
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: people don't talk for their kids. But you know what
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: she is, like this what I had to develop and
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: like you know, as kids now they're young, so they
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: all in the therapy and they got money for that.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: I don't see. I don't go to therapy because I
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: don't need it. Now it's good for some people. It's
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: great for some people. But I'm really grateful that I
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: had a very unique ability to say, Okay, that's over,
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: we're past it, let's get up, let's move on, go
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: on to something else. I've had a very keen ability
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: to do that my entire life. If I hadn't, my
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: life would have crumbled me. I would have crumbled under
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: the weight of my own life, of my own crippling
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: decisions I had made. But God gave me a great
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: ability to be able to say, Okay, it's done. I
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: messed up, my bad, I'm sorry. I asked for forgiveness
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: from God and for people all the time, I'm sorry,
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Can we move on? And then I get up and
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: go again? And that has kept me therapy free because
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: what I do not do is I don't keep dragging
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: my mistakes with me. I don't keep bringing up my
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: past transgressions. Now. Sad thing is people in my life
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: do no, You've forgiven yourself. It's what you're saying, You've
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: forgiven yourself. And if you don't forgive me, then man
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: bump you. That's what I say. We'll have more of
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We have to talk
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: about this, Tommy. Earlier. Uh in the show, you made
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: reference to your backpack and Steve made reference to his
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: credit card. Where were you? Okay, I came in here
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: with a backpack this morning. Now it's gone. I know,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: damn well, who got it? So I called myself playing
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: a little joke. Alright, I went by his house for
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: I left to go and my wife went to Vega.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: His credit card is in the house land. I picked
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: it up. I said, I say, I'm gonna play a
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: joke card. So I take his card. Then I, you know,
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: shot a video saying I got my Loca card. I'm
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: bowling in Vega. Okay, so I'm just playing, you know now,
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: But okay, you play it. But did you have my card? Though?
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: I had your card? Okay, okay, alright, go ahead, and
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: now I have an American Express card to mine. Ain't
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: black man, feelful? But you know, hanging out having fun.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: I messed around, grabbed the wrong card. Yeah, I used
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: your card a little bit. But at the end of
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: the day, you know how you grabbed the wrong card?
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: You just said your card ain't black? Now how you
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: grab you you grab a black card knowing you ain't
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: got but a silver car. So now you didn't grab
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: the black card if you use it a little bit? Hi?
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: HOI how you? How you using a little bit? Like
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: I said, you know, we're hanging out. It was dark
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: where I was and the card is dark. So but
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: in yours, curently it was just a joke. You know,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: he didn't took it the wrong. Now my damn backpack
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: on and I know it's in this room somewhere, so
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: I know you got it. Okay, Uh huh, the joke's
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: on you and you're medicine in there? Yes, I need
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: what's wrong with you? Slightly in frost state? You know,
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: just a little bit. They just regular side. They didn't
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: look big. Well, I need put out my medicine. Man,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: you've you've been miss Dagne. You got regular side propt.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: They didn't look real big on you. Okay, So that's
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: like if you had not far see too far, ain't
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: wining hell like happen? All right, well, thanks for thanks
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: for clearing up. All right. So I was telling you earlier,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Steve that Michael Jackson's old pad Elephant was a little
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: naughty over the weekend in Florida. The Jacksonville Zoo and
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: Garden said on its Facebook page that Ali, that's an
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: elephant that wasn't lived at Michael's land Ranch moon walked
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: out of his enclosure on Sunday and ended up in
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: a courtyard. Zoo officials say workers accidentally left a gate
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: open and Ali the elephant tried to beat it. He
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: was He was on the loose for about twenty minutes
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: before zoo workers were able to use food to entice
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: him back to his enclosure. Fortunately, no one was hurt
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: and Alie is safe, so that's the good news. What happened? Well,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: what do you mean? I just read the story with
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: George Wallace. His mama. It was Father's Day. She wanted
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: to go wish him a happy father Day because you know,
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: he don't know his real daddy. So he left a
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: zoo to George happy man dead. It's father Day tomorrow,
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: all right? Steve, coming up our last break of the day,
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: closing marks. Right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Show.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: Here we are, Steve, Last Break of the day. I
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: was on a good morning. Yeah, we got a lot
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: of should have paid you alright, Alright, God, it made
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: me a bed prison. I'm all right, I promise you
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: hashtag Yeah yeah, Steve, You're good. I ain't got to be.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: He's still working it out. Keep running over here, though,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: you're gonna learn some moment. Yeah. So what did we
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: learn today? Though? What did we learn? Well? You know what, kids,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you something else. Kids don't understand.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: We as parents have all protected our kids from certain
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: information because we felt that at certain times and they
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: liked they didn't need certain information because they didn't have
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: at that age the ability to process. Steve from Asia.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: But I've learned over the years, I started slowly releasing
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: information till them because see, now you at an age
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: where you can understand. So all this you've been thinking
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: of feeling about me, it's a little sideway looking at
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: me at the corner of your eye, questioning me about
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: my my level of participation in your life when you
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: use babies and all this here. Oh, let me tell
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: you a couple of things, because I know what didn't
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: happened here, see, and Mama got a different story because
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: you ain't there. Okay, But now have you ever heard
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: the story about why I wasn't now anybody told you
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: that story. Okay, let me go and give you I'm
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: let me let me dribble you a little information, messing,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: a little day of since you want to. But see
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: if you keep talking to me grown, then I'm gonna
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: talk back to you like you grown, and I'm gonna
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: let you have a little information. Now. You think you
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: need therapy now with waiting this story over? Yeah, he
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: is open. I'm telling you now. So it's sort of funny, man.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: But it's like I think the truth is, it's it's
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: it's necessary sometimes likely, you know, for example, Okay, closing remarks,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: let me let me do it like this, because earlier
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: I was thinking about I was jokingly talking about the
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, how honesty is not always the best policy.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: And it's not because sometimes the truth is too strong.
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: The truth of the matter is too strong, and if
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: you're carrying person, you can't be that strong to everybody
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: because everybody can't handle full strength medicine. Some people allergic
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: to certain medicines like penicill is good, but some people
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: are allergic to it. That's what I feel about the truth,
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: that as some people that's allergic to the truth. That's
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: some people who can't tell the truth say that lot
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: they're just habitual liars. But that's some people you cannot
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: share the truth with because that information in its harshest form,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: in its purest form of truth, can be too much
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: for a person. So if all of your friends ask
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: you for your honest opinion of them, would you would
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: you all tell them the pure truth? How you really
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: feel about every outfit they wear, how you really feel
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: about their hairstyle, how you really think they can pick
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: the wrong shade of make up? Do you think it's
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: in your best interesting to share the complete honesty? And
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: there are people sitting up and listening, going, well, yeah,
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: if you're the real friend and y'all have a friendship,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: you should be honest. But you can't though you can't
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: because it's it's not humanly smart to do that. You
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: can't bear everything you think to everybody because everybody they
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: can't handle it. It's just like you can't raise two
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: children the same way because everybody's different, so you have
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: to reshape some of the stuff you said. I got
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: some things I could say to some of my children
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: that I can't say to the other children. I got
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: certain ways I can handle one of my children in
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: this regard with discipline. But if the other one would
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: crumble under that type of discipline, so I have to
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: weigh it out. I got certain friends that I could
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: talk to you about this, but certain friends I can't
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: bring the subject up. I got certain friends I could
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: take certain places. I got certain friends that can't go nowhere. No. Well,
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: so I was jokingly saying, honesty ain't the best policy.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: But sometimes you got to know. That's the thing called
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: discernment that you have to use in your life. And
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: as my children have gotten over in reference to my
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: children and my children have gotten older, sometimes we have
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: a little bit stronger conversations. I able to let them
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: in on a little bit more of what it was
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: like for me back then versus what they thought I
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: should have did or should have been. But like I said,
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: if I had stayed there where we were today, we
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: wouldn't be where we are. You know where we would
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: be where? You know where we would be right back
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: where we was. Now which one you like best? That
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: you make the decision from here? And everybody got to
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: grow up. See our children listen to me, even though
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: they always be our children at one point in time,
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: they have to grow up too, and sometimes you just
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: got to let them in on a little bit of
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: background so they can so you can speed up to
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: grow up process. And that's just the suggestion I have.
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: That's what I've learned over the years as my children
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: are all over twenty one. Okay, cool, now you know
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: we don't spank no more on all this here. But
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: let me have this conversation. Why ain't think you did
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: this right? You ain't think that. You don't think I
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: did this right? Let me tell you why I made
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: this decision. And I ain't been perfect. I don't made
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: some mistakes, But let me tell you what was behind
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: this decision that I made? That that that that that
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: that that. Now how you feel? Oh I ain't know that? Okay, cool,
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: well now you do. I love you, dad, I love
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: you too. Happy Fathers Day, everybody. Happy Mother's Day too.
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: You ain't got to ask me. Hold up, just going away?
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: Everybody mouth already. I wanted to say drop it, but
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: you ain't got saying. My mouth was open, but the
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: words didn't come out. Everybody's mouth. Hoping good words, boy,
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: y'all have a great weekend in the moment for all.
