- 0:01Speaker 1: What happens in the meantime should Americans be prepared potentially
- 0:04Speaker 1: for years.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I'll tell you what happens.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We have now seven trillion dollars of commitments from companies.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Wanting to go and get time.
- 0:14Speaker 1: What we are you're asking me a question? Are you
- 0:18Speaker 1: telling me? Yeah?
- 0:19Speaker 3: It takes time.
- 0:20Speaker 2: You know, you've got to build.
- 0:21Speaker 1: A thing called the factory.
- 0:22Speaker 4: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Good Tuesday morning, Ben Ferguson with you. It's so nice
- 0:29Speaker 3: to have you on the forty seven Morning Update. And
- 0:31Speaker 3: here are the three big stories we're covering for you.
- 0:33Speaker 3: First up, there's a big lie that Republicans are going
- 0:37Speaker 3: to actually undermine Donald Trump in the Senate and stop
- 0:40Speaker 3: him from being able to do what he's doing with tariffs. Well,
- 0:43Speaker 3: guess what, It's a big lie made up by the media,
- 0:46Speaker 3: and we expose it in just a moment. Up next,
- 0:48Speaker 3: a major victory for law and order as a Supreme
- 0:52Speaker 3: Court is allowing the Trump administration to enforce deportations of
- 0:57Speaker 3: gang members under the Alien Enemies Act. And finally, Donald Trump,
- 1:03Speaker 3: we're now being told is in direct conversations with Iran
- 1:08Speaker 3: and also talking to militias in Iraq about disarmament. It's
- 1:13Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:18Speaker 3: There has been a story that has been circulating and
- 1:21Speaker 3: it's one that we're going to debunk right now. It's
- 1:24Speaker 3: that Republicans are going to break with the President and
- 1:27Speaker 3: destroy what he's doing on tariffs. Well senter James Langford
- 1:32Speaker 3: set the record straight, saying he doesn't think that's gonna
- 1:35Speaker 3: happen on Capitol Hill at all. He said, if anything
- 1:39Speaker 3: is stopping the president will be lawfair in the court system.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You're noticing a trend with lawfair right, take a list
- 1:45Speaker 3: in the center. In his own words from Oklahoma.
- 1:48Speaker 5: So, I think the president's challenge is not going to
- 1:49Speaker 5: be Congress. There'll be members of Congress saying, hey, this
- 1:52Speaker 5: needs to be able to come back to Congress as
- 1:54Speaker 5: it typically does. I think it's gonna be challenging the
- 1:56Speaker 5: courts quite frankly, because it's novel, is new, it's a
- 1:59Speaker 5: different way to actually take on the tariffs, and so
- 2:01Speaker 5: I think the courts are going to jump in and
- 2:03Speaker 5: say we want to be able to take a look
- 2:04Speaker 5: at this.
- 2:05Speaker 3: So there is a center saying guess what. What you're
- 2:08Speaker 3: being told by the media is yet again another lie
- 2:11Speaker 3: to undermine President Trump and his job as the commander
- 2:14Speaker 3: in chief. Now, the Center also said, yes, there is
- 2:17Speaker 3: an attempt in Congress to quote rein in the president's
- 2:20Speaker 3: capability to manage tariffs, but quote, I don't think this
- 2:24Speaker 3: bill will have an impact on it at all. Now,
- 2:27Speaker 3: the Senate narrowly approved a tariff control bill which could
- 2:31Speaker 3: not have won approval if it was not for the
- 2:33Speaker 3: support of four Republicans. There's a little chance the bill
- 2:37Speaker 3: will get majority support in the House. Trump also still
- 2:40Speaker 3: has veto control of the bill should it win full approval.
- 2:45Speaker 3: You can't make this up. Lankford said. The big picture
- 2:48Speaker 3: is that Trump is on the right course, and he
- 2:50Speaker 3: believes his constituents will see the benefits as well, saying, quote,
- 2:54Speaker 3: He's not wrong definitely that China is ripping us off,
- 2:58Speaker 3: and that we've got bad trade issues all over the world.
- 3:01Speaker 3: And I'm looking forward to lots of new negotiated trade
- 3:04Speaker 3: agreements all around the world because my farmers and ranchers
- 3:07Speaker 3: are folks that do production of lots of different equipment here.
- 3:12Speaker 3: They want to be able to sell all over the world.
- 3:14Speaker 3: They want to be able to have fair markets.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:17Speaker 3: President Trump also getting in on the action. At the
- 3:20Speaker 3: White House today, he was taking questions with net and
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yahoo and he was asked by the media about the tariffs.
- 3:26Speaker 3: There was a story that started to circulate that Donald
- 3:29Speaker 3: Trump was quote looking at pausing at the tariffs. Well,
- 3:32Speaker 3: Donald Trump said, guess what, that's not true, and here's
- 3:36Speaker 3: the present in his own words, any questions to the
- 3:42Speaker 3: markets today and would you be open to a pause
- 3:45Speaker 3: in tariffs to allow for negotiation.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Well, we're to look at it that we have many,
- 3:50Speaker 1: many countries that are coming to negotiate deals with US,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and they're going to be fair deals. In certain cases,
- 3:57Speaker 1: they're going to be be paying substantial toras, they'll be
- 4:01Speaker 1: fair deals. So you know, I spoke this morning with
- 4:04Speaker 1: the Prime Minister of Japan and we had a very
- 4:07Speaker 1: good conversation. They're coming, and I said, one thing, you're
- 4:11Speaker 1: going to have to open up your country because we
- 4:13Speaker 1: sold no cars, like zero cars in Japan, and they
- 4:17Speaker 1: sold millions of cars into our country. They don't really
- 4:21Speaker 1: take our agriculture, a little bit of it just to
- 4:23Speaker 1: keep us slightly happy, but they don't take what this
- 4:25Speaker 1: is us to be taking. So we have a great
- 4:27Speaker 1: relationship with Japan. We're going to keep it that way.
- 4:30Speaker 1: But they're coming in to meet, and other countries are
- 4:33Speaker 1: coming in with China, as you know, against my statement,
- 4:38Speaker 1: they put a thirty four percent tariff on above what
- 4:42Speaker 1: their ridiculous tariffs were already, and I said, if that
- 4:46Speaker 1: tariff isn't removed by tomorrow at twelve o'clock, we're putting
- 4:50Speaker 1: a fifty percent tariff on above the tariffs that we
- 4:54Speaker 1: put on. So they've gone for years, They've become a
- 4:57Speaker 1: rich country because of people again that we're in the
- 5:00Speaker 1: White House that allowed this to happen. Hundreds of billions
- 5:04Speaker 1: of dollars a year that'd maken us on trade, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: it shouldn't be that way. And I have a great
- 5:09Speaker 1: relationship with presidency. I hope it's going to stay that way.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I have great respect for China, but they can't do this.
- 5:16Speaker 1: We're just we're going to have one shot at this,
- 5:19Speaker 1: and no other president's going to do this what I'm doing.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And I'll tell you what, it's an honor to do
- 5:25Speaker 1: it because we have been just just destroyed what they've
- 5:28Speaker 1: done to our system. You know, we have thirty six
- 5:31Speaker 1: trillion dollars of debt for a reason, and the reason
- 5:35Speaker 1: is that people allowed it to get that way. So
- 5:38Speaker 1: we'll be talking to China, We'll be talking to a
- 5:42Speaker 1: lot of different countries, and I think, you know, if
- 5:46Speaker 1: if we can make a really fair deal and a
- 5:49Speaker 1: good deal for the United States, not a good deal
- 5:51Speaker 1: for others. This is America first. It's now America first.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And we didn't put America first. We put America lass.
- 5:58Speaker 1: The people that were in the Oval Office put America last.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And we're not going to stand for it.
- 6:02Speaker 3: So if you want to know who's on your side,
- 6:05Speaker 3: it's clearly the President of the United States of America. Yes,
- 6:09Speaker 3: the media is having to lie, manipulate and change the
- 6:11Speaker 3: headlines and tell you it's all doom and gloom, and
- 6:14Speaker 3: then line say the President's going to stop the tariffs,
- 6:17Speaker 3: pause the tariffs, back down from the tariffs, show weakness.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I think it's pretty clear now from what the President
- 6:22Speaker 3: said in the White House none of that is actually
- 6:24Speaker 3: going to happen.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Next story number two, it is a major.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Victory for law and order when it comes to the
- 6:30Speaker 3: President Donald Trump having power to do his job. The
- 6:33Speaker 3: Supreme Court of the United States lifted a block from
- 6:37Speaker 3: the US District Judge James Mooseburg, which was law fair
- 6:42Speaker 3: preventing the Trump administration from deporting suspected illegal alien gang members.
- 6:48Speaker 3: They were doing this under the seventeen ninety eight Alien
- 6:51Speaker 3: Enemies Act. Now, this ruling from the Supreme Court is
- 6:54Speaker 3: a massive win for President Donald Trump and most importantly
- 6:58Speaker 3: for the rule of law in this country. It's also
- 7:01Speaker 3: a massive win for his administration because now they can
- 7:04Speaker 3: actually do their jobs. It was described quote as a
- 7:07Speaker 3: narrow and focused on the proper venue for the cases,
- 7:12Speaker 3: rather than on the administration's use of a century's old
- 7:15Speaker 3: law to justify his decision to deport suspected illegal alien
- 7:20Speaker 3: gang members. That according to The New York Times, So
- 7:23Speaker 3: even when the President gets a huge victory from the
- 7:25Speaker 3: Supreme Court, just know, the hacks of the New York
- 7:28Speaker 3: Times are still going to lie to you about the
- 7:31Speaker 3: premise of the ruling. Per the New York Times, it
- 7:35Speaker 3: was a five to four decision happens all the time,
- 7:38Speaker 3: by the way, and the Supreme Court justice found that
- 7:41Speaker 3: the migrants had improperly challenged their deportations in Washington, d c.
- 7:47Speaker 3: When they should have challenged them in Texas, where they
- 7:50Speaker 3: were being held quote unquote from the Times. Now, the
- 7:53Speaker 3: real headline should have been this, the Supreme Court sides
- 7:56Speaker 3: with the Trump administration and will allow them to continue
- 7:59Speaker 3: removing Venezuelan transd Aragua gang members from the country under
- 8:04Speaker 3: the Alien's Enemies Act. But no, the media couldn't actually
- 8:07Speaker 3: tell you the story the honest way. In a post
- 8:11Speaker 3: on x the Attorney General Pam Bondi responded to the
- 8:14Speaker 3: Supreme Court decision and described it as a landmark victory
- 8:18Speaker 3: for quote the rule of law. Bondi continued, saying this,
- 8:22Speaker 3: an activist judge in Washington, DC does not have the
- 8:25Speaker 3: jurisdiction to seize control of President Trump's authority to conduct
- 8:29Speaker 3: foreign policy and keep the American people safe. The Department
- 8:34Speaker 3: of Justice will continue fighting in court to make America
- 8:38Speaker 3: safe again. Trump also asked the Supreme Court to allow
- 8:42Speaker 3: the federal government to deport suspected illegal alien gang members
- 8:46Speaker 3: under the Alien Enemies Act, and in March, Trump invoked
- 8:49Speaker 3: the Alien Enemies Act to allow for the expedited removal
- 8:52Speaker 3: of illegal Venezuelan migrants who were suspected of being members
- 8:56Speaker 3: of that dangerous gang. The transd Aragua gang also that
- 9:01Speaker 3: has been designated as a terrorist organization. These are terrorists
- 9:05Speaker 3: at the President's trying to get rid of. This was
- 9:08Speaker 3: a massive victory for the President and it's one that
- 9:11Speaker 3: the media will not tell you the truth on because
- 9:14Speaker 3: they know just how damning it is to their law fare.
- 9:17Speaker 3: At the end of the day, this means that Donald
- 9:19Speaker 3: Trump is going to be able to do what he
- 9:21Speaker 3: needs to do to keep all of us safe from
- 9:24Speaker 3: these gang members.
- 9:26Speaker 2: And here is story number three in some.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Very important international news. The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanya,
- 9:32Speaker 3: who met with Donald Trump at the White House. But
- 9:36Speaker 3: one of the biggest things that came out of the
- 9:37Speaker 3: conversation was some breaking news that Donald Trump announced about
- 9:42Speaker 3: having direct talks with a Ran over their nuclear weapons program.
- 9:47Speaker 3: President saying this at the White House, sitting next to
- 9:50Speaker 3: Bibe Well, having direct.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Talks with Rant and they've started. It'll go on Saturday.
- 9:58Speaker 1: We have a very big meeting of w see what
- 10:00Speaker 1: can happen. And I think everybody agrees that doing a
- 10:05Speaker 1: deal would be preferable to doing the obvious, and the
- 10:09Speaker 1: obvious is not something that I want to be involved
- 10:13Speaker 1: with or frankly that Israel wants to be involved with
- 10:16Speaker 1: if they can avoid it. So we're going to see
- 10:18Speaker 1: what we can avoid it. But it's getting to be
- 10:21Speaker 1: very dangerous territory and hopefully those talks will be successful,
- 10:26Speaker 1: and I think it would be Intern's best interests if
- 10:29Speaker 1: they are successful. We hope that's going to happen.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Now.
- 10:32Speaker 3: As President Trump was saying this in the Oval Office,
- 10:35Speaker 3: Reuters came out with an exclusive report saying that Iran
- 10:39Speaker 3: back militias in Iraq are ready to disarm to avert
- 10:43Speaker 3: what they describe as a Trump wrath. That's right coming
- 10:47Speaker 3: out of Baghdad. Several powerful Iranian back militia groups in
- 10:52Speaker 3: Iraq are prepared to disarm for the first time to
- 10:55Speaker 3: avert the threat of an escalating conflict with the US
- 10:58Speaker 3: Trump administration. That is what ten senior commanders and Iraqi
- 11:03Speaker 3: officials said to Reuters. The move to diffuse tensions follows
- 11:08Speaker 3: repeated warnings issued privately by US officials to the Iraqi
- 11:12Speaker 3: government since Trump took power in January. According to sources
- 11:17Speaker 3: who include six local commanders of four major militias, the
- 11:22Speaker 3: officials told Baghdad that unless it acted to disband the militias,
- 11:26Speaker 3: operating on its soil, America could target the groups with
- 11:30Speaker 3: air strikes. A senior Muslim politician close to Iraq's government's
- 11:35Speaker 3: alliance also told Reuters that discussions between the Prime Minister
- 11:40Speaker 3: and several militia leaders were quote very advanced, and the
- 11:44Speaker 3: groups were inclined to comply with US calls for disarmament.
- 11:48Speaker 3: The factions are not acting stubbornly or insisting on continuing
- 11:53Speaker 3: in their current form, he said, adding that the groups
- 11:56Speaker 3: were fully aware they could be targeted by US air strikes.
- 12:00Speaker 3: The six militia commanders interviewed in Baghdad by Reuters at
- 12:05Speaker 3: a southern province who requested obviously eminemity to discuss the
- 12:09Speaker 3: sense of situation, are from multiple different groups. Many of
- 12:13Speaker 3: them also it ties to Iran. Trump is ready to
- 12:16Speaker 3: take the war with us to worse levels. We know that,
- 12:19Speaker 3: one of the commanders said, and we want to avoid
- 12:22Speaker 3: such a bad scenario. The most powerful Sheite militia also
- 12:26Speaker 3: saying that it's time for us to find a way
- 12:29Speaker 3: to work together. You cannot make this up. Why are
- 12:32Speaker 3: they doing this now? Because they've witnessed what the president's
- 12:35Speaker 3: doing with other leaders that he decides to take out
- 12:38Speaker 3: isis leaders and the President, making it clear that if
- 12:42Speaker 3: you don't get a deal now, well you're probably going
- 12:45Speaker 3: to end up dead. The commander said, their main ally
- 12:48Speaker 3: and patron, Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards military force, has given
- 12:54Speaker 3: them its blessing to take whatever decisions they deem necessary
- 12:58Speaker 3: to avoid being drawn into a potentially ruin US conflict
- 13:03Speaker 3: with the United States and Israel. So the moral of
- 13:06Speaker 3: the story is even Iran's military understands that right now
- 13:11Speaker 3: is not a time to mess with the Trump administration,
- 13:14Speaker 3: and this may be exactly why they're willing to talk
- 13:17Speaker 3: directly with the Trump administration to avert military strikes from
- 13:21Speaker 3: a present that says he's not bluffing.
