- 1:06Speaker 7: You know you gotta turn I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn the mouth turn. You probably got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn the mouth turn. Mount a wad of the
- 1:47Speaker 1: money up.
- 1:49Speaker 7: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you'll think that.
- 2:02Speaker 8: I share.
- 2:02Speaker 9: Well, good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 9: on digging now. One and only Steve Harley got a
- 2:10Speaker 9: radio show. This one today I want to share with
- 2:15Speaker 9: you is for all of us, and here it is.
- 2:21Speaker 9: There is a solution to all of your problems in situations.
- 2:30Speaker 9: If you don't know what your next move is, that's
- 2:33Speaker 9: a go. I don't care what it is. If the
- 2:36Speaker 9: relationship you're in is all wrong and you don't know
- 2:41Speaker 9: how to get out of it, it doesn't matter. There
- 2:45Speaker 9: is a solution to all your problems and situations. That
- 2:51Speaker 9: solution to all your problems, that way to make all
- 2:54Speaker 9: your dreams come true. The way around a lot of
- 2:58Speaker 9: this and the weakness that you feel at times is prayer. Prayer,
- 3:06Speaker 9: a connection with your Creator. Could that be the thing
- 3:11Speaker 9: that's missing in your life. I'm just asking because whenever
- 3:16Speaker 9: I get a little bit off track, all I gotta
- 3:20Speaker 9: do is think, just a moment, Steve, have you been praying?
- 3:26Speaker 2: Man?
- 3:26Speaker 9: Have you been connecting with your creator? I know you're busy, man,
- 3:30Speaker 9: I know you're busy, and I know at the end
- 3:33Speaker 9: of the day you've done. You're done, and sometimes crawling
- 3:37Speaker 9: into bed is all you can manage to do.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I've said this, it happened to me last night. Again.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I did all of this. But when I look and
- 3:47Speaker 2: when I.
- 3:48Speaker 9: See things not moving, or I don't feel like things
- 3:52Speaker 9: are going in the right direction, or I have a
- 3:54Speaker 9: sense of being stagnant, all I got to do is
- 3:58Speaker 9: retrace it. Because because I'm working, there's no doubt about that.
- 4:02Speaker 9: I'm working. But I am I staying connected? Am I
- 4:07Speaker 9: using that weapon that's available to all of us?
- 4:10Speaker 2: And I pray? And the answer is usually no?
- 4:14Speaker 9: And so I know, okay, okay, man, I'm getting off
- 4:16Speaker 9: track here, because see, let me tell you something, man.
- 4:19Speaker 9: The reason I constantly talk to God is because life
- 4:25Speaker 9: constantly changes. People who said they was going to do
- 4:28Speaker 9: something for you one day have changed their mind. The
- 4:31Speaker 9: next somebody you thought was going to show up that
- 4:35Speaker 9: day called in late, had an accident and couldn't make it.
- 4:39Speaker 2: That changes the parameters of everything.
- 4:43Speaker 9: The meeting you had set up that had to be
- 4:45Speaker 9: canceled because somebody was ill, That changes the parameters the
- 4:50Speaker 9: time frame of everything.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Because it's all connected.
- 4:54Speaker 9: So if I don't stay in constant prayer and stay
- 4:57Speaker 9: connected to the creative, when this thing's happen, I've not
- 5:01Speaker 9: put in my bed, I've not talked to him about
- 5:04Speaker 9: how to handle it, or I'm just not aware of
- 5:07Speaker 9: it and what to do next. And the next thing
- 5:09Speaker 9: you know, it becomes a little stagnant. That has happened
- 5:12Speaker 9: to me. I gotta get back because prayer is the
- 5:17Speaker 9: solution to all of my problems and situations. I have
- 5:21Speaker 9: found that to be the case now. The only reason
- 5:24Speaker 9: I'm telling it to you is because I know if
- 5:27Speaker 9: you anything like me, slash human being, then there are
- 5:31Speaker 9: times that you feel anxious. There's moments of desperation. You
- 5:36Speaker 9: have moments of uncertainty. There are times when you feel
- 5:40Speaker 9: like you've lost your way, or your purpose is a
- 5:45Speaker 9: little blurred, you're not sure anymore, or you don't know
- 5:49Speaker 9: what your next move is, or the relationship you in,
- 5:52Speaker 9: or the relationships you dabbling in, They're just all wrong
- 5:55Speaker 9: for you. Man, there is a solution to all your
- 6:01Speaker 9: problems and situations and his prayer. If you're suffering from
- 6:06Speaker 9: any of the things I just listened, or any other
- 6:08Speaker 9: thing you could think of.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Just check your prayer. What has your prayer been lately?
- 6:13Speaker 2: About it? And this is for everybody.
- 6:18Speaker 9: I often find when I get that disconnection, man, my
- 6:22Speaker 9: prayer and slipped off. I started feeling a little bit less,
- 6:27Speaker 9: so I got to jump back on it. I'm just
- 6:29Speaker 9: offering you a solution to it, man, and and and
- 6:32Speaker 9: I'm giving you a solution that works one thousand percent.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Fust show. See, I ain't guessing at this one.
- 6:39Speaker 9: I'm telling you what has happened in my life, how
- 6:43Speaker 9: I did it, and it'll do for you. God is
- 6:46Speaker 9: filled with mercy and grace. He knows we all messed up.
- 6:51Speaker 9: He knows all of us have done some jacked up
- 6:53Speaker 9: things that don't nobody know about. He knows all about
- 6:57Speaker 9: our past. Man, he know all of that. But He
- 7:01Speaker 9: is so full of grace.
- 7:02Speaker 2: And mercy, so full of fifty fifty chances.
- 7:06Speaker 9: But you know, the thing about your life though, and
- 7:09Speaker 9: the thing I had to come to terms with, and
- 7:11Speaker 9: the reason I don't let out of the reason I
- 7:14Speaker 9: don't let my past bury me, the reason I don't
- 7:16Speaker 9: let my past define me is because my past, I
- 7:22Speaker 9: found out were just the ingredients needed for me to
- 7:30Speaker 9: make this cake I'm eating now. My past is just
- 7:35Speaker 9: my ingredients. See, you don't get rid of your past.
- 7:40Speaker 9: They ain't they gone nowhere. They are the ingredients. But
- 7:43Speaker 9: when you put them with something else, they look better,
- 7:46Speaker 9: they taste better, it is better.
- 7:50Speaker 2: All of our pasts are just.
- 7:51Speaker 9: The ingredients that have become the cake we eating now. Now,
- 7:55Speaker 9: if you don't like the way your cake taste, then
- 7:57Speaker 9: you gotta start putting some other ingredients in. Just because
- 8:01Speaker 9: you started off and your cake was messed up, don't
- 8:04Speaker 9: mean you can't straighten out the flavor of your cake.
- 8:07Speaker 9: You gotta put some different ingredients in there. So let's
- 8:11Speaker 9: say your cake is trifling tasted, it's bitter. Your cake
- 8:15Speaker 9: is bitter, Well, you got to dilute the bitterness. You
- 8:18Speaker 9: gotta put some more goodness in there. So you got
- 8:21Speaker 9: to put some goodness ingredients to take away the taste
- 8:25Speaker 9: of the bitterness.
- 8:28Speaker 2: So you got to put some different ingredients in there.
- 8:30Speaker 9: You gotta start living your life a little more kindly,
- 8:32Speaker 9: a little more thoughtful, a little more sharing, a little
- 8:35Speaker 9: more caring. And then after a while, man, those new
- 8:39Speaker 9: ingredients combined with that bitter it starts overshadowing the bitter
- 8:43Speaker 9: taste because the bitter taste is further behind you. Now
- 8:47Speaker 9: see something that happened to you twelve fifteen, thirty twenty five,
- 8:52Speaker 9: sixteen years ago. Ain't got to be the flavor that's
- 8:55Speaker 9: in your mouth now unless you let it be.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Ingredients.
- 9:00Speaker 9: Man, if you sink it away your cake taste and
- 9:03Speaker 9: change your ingredients, put something else in your cake mix
- 9:09Speaker 9: so you can get a better taste. If you don't
- 9:12Speaker 9: like the way your life tastes.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Pray.
- 9:16Speaker 9: I've been here my mama saying for years, boy prayer
- 9:18Speaker 9: change his things, don't My mama said to me all
- 9:22Speaker 9: the time. I said to my TV artist is when
- 9:24Speaker 9: they come see me on the talk show, before I
- 9:26Speaker 9: walk on stage, I tell them these words, my mother said.
- 9:29Speaker 9: I said, my mother used to always tell me this,
- 9:32Speaker 9: and it's bailed me out, and it might do the
- 9:34Speaker 9: same thing for you. I said, whatever I get in trouble.
- 9:38Speaker 9: I hear her words. She says, son, don't forget to pray,
- 9:43Speaker 9: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud
- 9:46Speaker 9: to pray, because prayer, prayer, change is things, and you
- 9:51Speaker 9: better believe something it one hundred percent show.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Do you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 9: Ladies and gentlemen, It is here that Steve Harvey Morning
- 10:06Speaker 9: Show us upon us. It's all the way, live in,
- 10:10Speaker 9: living and vivid color. All of the performers on this
- 10:15Speaker 9: show possess skin, pigment of color, different levels to it.
- 10:21Speaker 9: It is all beautiful. Black is beautiful. That's a fact.
- 10:27Speaker 9: That's not a question. It is what it is. It
- 10:31Speaker 9: has been one of the great accomplishment and joys of
- 10:33Speaker 9: my life to be who I am.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I thank God for it.
- 10:38Speaker 9: With all this oppressive moments, heartbeat, heart breaks and disappointments,
- 10:43Speaker 9: I have survived them all. It's made me strong and
- 10:48Speaker 9: Lord have mercy. I would have never made it without soul.
- 10:52Speaker 9: I thank the Lord for soul. Soul is the essence
- 10:57Speaker 9: of who I am. Whenever it get dark for me,
- 11:00Speaker 9: outside of prayer, I rely on soul, Soul, cooking, soul, food,
- 11:08Speaker 9: soul sayings so active soul handled. Those of you who
- 11:17Speaker 9: have it know exactly what I'm talking about. Charlie Strawberry
- 11:21Speaker 9: calling for real Mouth of the South, Junior legend, nephew,
- 11:25Speaker 9: Tommy Junior, what's on your mind this morning?
- 11:27Speaker 2: Man?
- 11:27Speaker 10: He let me add you Somemer sixty five years Man?
- 11:32Speaker 10: Would you would have did it any different to be
- 11:34Speaker 10: where you're at today? Do you ever have feel like
- 11:36Speaker 10: you had to do it different?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Oh? Do I wish I could have done it different? Yeah? Yeah?
- 11:42Speaker 9: Oh boy, I can tell you the stuff I wish
- 11:49Speaker 9: I could have skipped.
- 11:51Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 9: Some of those valuable lessons were just a little bit
- 11:54Speaker 9: too value.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Some of them lessons was a little too learned.
- 12:02Speaker 9: Some of them things I went through I thought was
- 12:05Speaker 9: stretched out a bit.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 9: I was looking at God going hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 12:12Speaker 9: I know you tested me, But what is this about?
- 12:15Speaker 9: I said, I got it clearly he felt differently. So
- 12:24Speaker 9: do I wish some things were happened differently?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yes?
- 12:29Speaker 9: But then when I look at the totality of what
- 12:31Speaker 9: I am and who I am, I wouldn't be this
- 12:34Speaker 9: without all those moments. So I needed those moments. And
- 12:38Speaker 9: that's why when you ask God for something. He never
- 12:41Speaker 9: tells you what it's gonna cost to attain it. He
- 12:45Speaker 9: never shows you the whole path of what it required,
- 12:50Speaker 9: because if he did, we would all say that's.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Okay, I want something else.
- 12:55Speaker 9: Because if you knew to the where you are today
- 12:59Speaker 9: that you was gonna have to take the route you took, Yes,
- 13:02Speaker 9: sir boy, if he'd have told you you was gonna
- 13:07Speaker 9: meet her or him, if he'd have told you that
- 13:14Speaker 9: decision you made was gonna cause this ripple effect, that's
- 13:19Speaker 9: why he never tells He never shows you the path.
- 13:22Speaker 9: He just allows you to dream and have the vision
- 13:25Speaker 9: and let that spur you on to greatness. That's an
- 13:28Speaker 9: answer to your question today, y'all have a great day
- 13:31Speaker 9: to Steve Harvey Morning Show is.

- 14:59Speaker 14: I'm at work.
- 15:00Speaker 13: I call you back.
- 15:02Speaker 8: Well, this is this is kind of urgent. I'll call
- 15:05Speaker 8: your your house phone and I didn't get an answer,
- 15:07Speaker 8: and I had this other number on file, so I
- 15:10Speaker 8: wanted to reach out to you. But what I won't
- 15:12Speaker 8: take long. But it really is a hurt. All right,
- 15:14Speaker 8: Well that urgent matter, if you don't mind, all right.
- 15:17Speaker 13: Hold on, hold on, let me let me step away
- 15:20Speaker 13: from Hello. Hello, yeah, okay, so what's uh? The Brinkley speech.
- 15:28Speaker 8: Okay, we have a bit of a problem here and
- 15:32Speaker 8: we're gonna try to We're trying to clean up a
- 15:33Speaker 8: lot of things here at the church. You know, I
- 15:36Speaker 8: hate to be the one to bring you some bad news.
- 15:40Speaker 8: Let me just start by by saying this. God might
- 15:43Speaker 8: not be through with you, but we are here at
- 15:46Speaker 8: the church. It has been brought to eye attention, sister
- 15:50Speaker 8: car that you guys are halfway coming to church and
- 15:53Speaker 8: you you you might come once once out of a month.
- 15:56Speaker 8: You're not tithing as we expected. You know that if
- 16:00Speaker 8: the church can't really depend on you, it's you you
- 16:03Speaker 8: got you know, you bring your kids. I think your
- 16:05Speaker 8: brother comes to the church, but everybody is coming every now.
- 16:09Speaker 8: We need we cannot depend on you all to be
- 16:12Speaker 8: the members and have the expectation of what we're trying
- 16:15Speaker 8: to say.
- 16:16Speaker 14: What did you say?
- 16:19Speaker 13: You say your name is yes, and you work, you
- 16:24Speaker 13: work under the DJ.
- 16:26Speaker 14: I'm sorry, I've never heard of you before.
- 16:29Speaker 8: I have been officiated by the pastor as I'm over
- 16:32Speaker 8: actually over the finance and we're going through all of
- 16:35Speaker 8: the books and looking at all of the numbers of
- 16:37Speaker 8: the of the members of the church, the directory, and
- 16:40Speaker 8: we're noticing what people are paying tied, what people are
- 16:43Speaker 8: paying tied, who's coming to church, who's participating in different
- 16:47Speaker 8: and different uh uh ministries and whatnot? And Sister Takar,
- 16:51Speaker 8: I got I have to be honest with you. You
- 16:52Speaker 8: you you'll maybe once every want of someone, we might
- 16:56Speaker 8: see you might not see you, you know, and like
- 16:59Speaker 8: I said, God may not be through witch you, but
- 17:02Speaker 8: we all well, okay, you.
- 17:03Speaker 13: Can't say that. Listen, why I don't understand, like, are
- 17:09Speaker 13: y'all monitoring my my my church going? Like I can't.
- 17:14Speaker 13: I can't have to go every single week, I mean
- 17:17Speaker 13: when I can.
- 17:18Speaker 8: Why are you absent so much at the church? Explain that?
- 17:21Speaker 13: I mean, I have three kids, you know, I mean
- 17:25Speaker 13: I have two jobs or something.
- 17:27Speaker 8: I don't.
- 17:27Speaker 13: I mean, I still pray. I don't understand how a
- 17:31Speaker 13: church can are you.
- 17:34Speaker 8: Got two jobs, but we're not getting tied? Like you
- 17:36Speaker 8: got two jobs, You're not tied, and like you got two.
- 17:39Speaker 13: Jobs because I can't afford.
- 17:42Speaker 8: You just said I got two jobs.
- 17:44Speaker 13: That's what you just said, and that those two jobs
- 17:46Speaker 13: are in support my kids. I mean, I can't support
- 17:49Speaker 13: the church and my kids is the same term. I
- 17:51Speaker 13: can't do both I mean, I get when I can.
- 17:55Speaker 8: Let me ask you something, what are you making on
- 17:58Speaker 8: that other job you here is? Are you really? You?
- 18:01Speaker 14: Really?
- 18:02Speaker 8: You?
- 18:02Speaker 15: Really?
- 18:04Speaker 13: I didn't know what the church? God?
- 18:06Speaker 14: Is this deep?
- 18:07Speaker 13: What you're really asking me? How much I make? And
- 18:10Speaker 13: my second job did I take to support my kids?
- 18:14Speaker 14: Come on?
- 18:15Speaker 6: Now?
- 18:15Speaker 13: Did this gotta be something?
- 18:17Speaker 8: I'm gonna say this to you again. God may not
- 18:21Speaker 8: be through with you, but we are. If you are
- 18:25Speaker 8: gonna pay your tides, if you're not gonna come to
- 18:28Speaker 8: work on a consistent basis, then what what do you benefit?
- 18:33Speaker 8: The church?
- 18:33Speaker 13: Is that what the church is about?
- 18:35Speaker 2: This?
- 18:36Speaker 8: I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna say this to you. You.
- 18:39Speaker 8: Let me tell you what the church is all about.
- 18:41Speaker 6: The church is and you say we done with you again?
- 18:45Speaker 14: One more time?
- 18:46Speaker 13: I'm serious.
- 18:47Speaker 8: No, I'm gonna tell you this you're talking about?
- 18:49Speaker 6: This?
- 18:49Speaker 8: Is that what the church is about? Let me tell
- 18:51Speaker 8: you what the church is. The church is a hospital
- 18:55Speaker 8: for crippled souls. You understand that that's what the That's
- 18:59Speaker 8: what the church is. But when when we have the
- 19:01Speaker 8: souls that are coming in to be saved, we are
- 19:05Speaker 8: doing our job. And guess what those people that are
- 19:08Speaker 8: coming in. You know what they're doing. They're tithing. That's
- 19:11Speaker 8: what they're doing. They're tithing. You, sister Takara, I'm sure
- 19:16Speaker 8: your soul is crippled. You're not coming and you're not tithing.
- 19:20Speaker 8: You may give us a little some something when you
- 19:22Speaker 8: show up. If you show up, Am I right or wrong?
- 19:26Speaker 13: M okay? How let me get worth the straights? This
- 19:29Speaker 13: is what you called me for in the middle of
- 19:32Speaker 13: my work day to tell me that you're kicking me
- 19:35Speaker 13: out the church because I don't give enough money to
- 19:39Speaker 13: the church while I'm at my job that I can
- 19:43Speaker 13: very afford to pay my bills with. So that a fact,
- 19:46Speaker 13: I don't even know who you are. I've never met
- 19:49Speaker 13: you in my life, and I don't even know what
- 19:51Speaker 13: this church you know this church. I hate to say it,
- 19:54Speaker 13: but if that's what the church is about, you have
- 19:57Speaker 13: the nerve to call me.
- 20:03Speaker 8: Okay, no, no, no, now, let me say something. Now,
- 20:05Speaker 8: you being very Unchristian like, now does the cards? You're

- 41:08Speaker 4: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:15Speaker 2: All right, Steve.
- 41:16Speaker 4: So here's a discussion we saw on Facebook. It was
- 41:18Speaker 4: from Ben, one of our white listeners. Ben wrote, since
- 41:22Speaker 4: when is not lying a bad thing? After seven years
- 41:26Speaker 4: of marriage, my wife jumps just up and decided she
- 41:30Speaker 4: wanted to talk about our numbers. She blurted out that
- 41:33Speaker 4: she was with six dudes before me and is embarrassed
- 41:36Speaker 4: because she thinks that's a lot. In my younger days,
- 41:39Speaker 4: I was in several bands and did more than my
- 41:42Speaker 4: fair share of hooking up with eager music lovers. Needless
- 41:45Speaker 4: to say, she was mad when I refused to answer,
- 41:49Speaker 4: and pissed when I finally said I had no idea
- 41:52Speaker 4: that it was easily over one hundreds. Now she says
- 41:56Speaker 4: she doesn't even know me now. She says she doesn't
- 41:58Speaker 4: even know me. Yeah, he said that number.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Man.
- 42:03Speaker 4: She says she doesn't even know me now and is
- 42:06Speaker 4: angry that I didn't lie to her.
- 42:08Speaker 11: What the hell is there any fixing this?
- 42:11Speaker 9: No, I don't even know why you even got into that.
- 42:15Speaker 9: I have told you it is best to lie. I
- 42:18Speaker 9: tell women that women, your number is three. Fellow, so
- 42:25Speaker 9: sit he have gone like to teen just to make
- 42:27Speaker 9: her feel good about.
- 42:28Speaker 2: How I wouldn't even I would gain no number.
- 42:30Speaker 1: So you've never given a number?
- 42:33Speaker 9: No because and I'm just gonna it's staggering. It's unthinkable.
- 42:43Speaker 11: Is this with money or without or both?
- 42:45Speaker 2: Both matter? Oh it was some great no money days.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Now what what these jokes?
- 43:00Speaker 9: I'm gonna tell you something. It's no way. It's no way.
- 43:07Speaker 4: So now the wife is mad that he didn't lie
- 43:09Speaker 4: to her, and he wants to know can he fix this?
- 43:13Speaker 1: What can he do?
- 43:16Speaker 9: I would just come up there and just say, baby,
- 43:18Speaker 9: look and I'll be honest with you. You know good hell, well,
- 43:21Speaker 9: I ain't doing no hungry with it?
- 43:24Speaker 2: Fix that. I was just really trying to be man.
- 43:28Speaker 9: I don't even know why I said that, because it
- 43:31Speaker 9: ain't even close to that.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I don't even know you. I don't know, and you're right,
- 43:37Speaker 2: you don't. Well kept her Hold up, I just told
- 43:45Speaker 2: you I was in the band on the road.
- 43:46Speaker 11: Now, yeah, several bands?
- 43:48Speaker 2: Are you singing? Then you go do it to people
- 43:52Speaker 2: like that? Lot of music? They be pointing at you.
- 43:54Speaker 2: What you want me to do?
- 43:58Speaker 9: I be playing, be making an icon tax maybe just
- 44:01Speaker 9: looking at me, pointing at me.
- 44:03Speaker 11: That's all it takes.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Who I had a long hair?
- 44:07Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 44:07Speaker 1: Long hell?
- 44:10Speaker 2: Then they all come up to me after the show.
- 44:12Speaker 2: What I'm supposed to do? I want to know who
- 44:15Speaker 2: the hundred is? Well, start with the age.
- 44:23Speaker 11: You play a great all right, damn.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Thirty thirty of them is your friends something, I know you.
- 44:37Speaker 2: One of them, I'm just you. I can't hold it
- 44:40Speaker 2: no more.
- 44:41Speaker 11: Okay.
- 44:42Speaker 2: One of them was your sister. But that's uhh, Tammy,
- 44:53Speaker 2: So that's right, yeah, Tammy and Vanessa.
- 44:55Speaker 11: Yeah, the twins, the twins.
- 45:00Speaker 9: And then and then you remember that night your mama
- 45:02Speaker 9: came to the show.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Yeah, So seriously, Steve, tell Ben how he can fix it.
- 45:16Speaker 9: He just have to go back in there and say,
- 45:18Speaker 9: I've just made up a number, but I didn't think
- 45:20Speaker 9: you'd take it this far.
- 45:22Speaker 10: Can he flip it back on about the six? Let's
- 45:25Speaker 10: talk about this six.
- 45:26Speaker 2: He didn't get off any one of these, I bet not. No, No,
- 45:31Speaker 2: don't do that.
- 45:32Speaker 9: Don't try to flip it, no, Sun, don't flip it
- 45:36Speaker 9: on the woman because they brilliant.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Oh we flipping now are we flipping? Okay? Flip this
- 45:44Speaker 2: hunt trick.
- 45:46Speaker 4: So Ben has to come up with another live to
- 45:48Speaker 4: cover up with the truth, to cover the truth that
- 45:50Speaker 4: he told her.
- 45:51Speaker 11: Okay, that's what you're getting, all right, truth prank phone
- 45:54Speaker 11: call with the nephew coming up, right, after this less up.

- 46:06Speaker 17: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:14Speaker 17: Coming up in about four minutes after the hour. It's
- 46:16Speaker 17: my strawberry letter for today and the subject is my
- 46:20Speaker 17: wet and wild older man.
- 46:24Speaker 2: We got all not what you think.
- 46:31Speaker 4: We'll get into it in just a bit, though, because
- 46:33Speaker 4: right now it is time for the next and today's

- 56:36Speaker 12: We got it for you here. It is strawberry letter.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Thank you nephe you subject my wet and wild older man.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband is seventy six years old
- 56:48Speaker 4: and I'm sixty. I worked with his daughter years ago
- 56:52Speaker 4: and that's how we met. When we started dating, he
- 56:55Speaker 4: loved having a much younger woman on his arm, but
- 56:58Speaker 4: as he gets older, he's getting or paranoid and asked
- 57:02Speaker 4: if I would ever leave him for a man my age.
- 57:05Speaker 4: I took my wedding bow seriously and he knows I
- 57:08Speaker 4: love him, but he's on my last nerve. He's not
- 57:11Speaker 4: aging well and years of abusing alcohol have finally caught
- 57:15Speaker 4: up with him, making all of his teeth crumble when
- 57:19Speaker 4: he eats crunchy foods. He won't get them fixed or
- 57:23Speaker 4: get dentures because he hates going to the doctor. He's
- 57:27Speaker 4: been wanting hair implants for years, but he knows we
- 57:30Speaker 4: can't afford that, so he wears his hair twisted and
- 57:33Speaker 4: he uses a lot of hair products every day. It
- 57:36Speaker 4: looks like an old Jerry curl, and it hangs long
- 57:39Speaker 4: in the back, and he's bald on the top. I'd
- 57:43Speaker 4: love for him to shave his head and go visit
- 57:45Speaker 4: a dentist. We used to have an active sex life,
- 57:48Speaker 4: but he's been leaking a little urine after he uses
- 57:51Speaker 4: a toilet, and the smell is strong enough to choke
- 57:54Speaker 4: a cat. I secretly put a mattress cover on his
- 57:58Speaker 4: side of the bed because I didn't want to embarrass
- 58:00Speaker 4: him between his stinky hair products getting on me and
- 58:04Speaker 4: the smell of urine. We haven't had sex in a while,
- 58:07Speaker 4: and I'm tired of making up excuses. It literally makes
- 58:11Speaker 4: me gag to think of having sex with him. Now
- 58:14Speaker 4: he still wants it, so something's got to change. The
- 58:17Speaker 4: final straw for me was when he urinated on himself
- 58:21Speaker 4: in Target this past Sunday. God I didn't make a
- 58:27Speaker 4: big deal out of it, but I had to buy
- 58:29Speaker 4: him a pair of clean shorts. How can he walk
- 58:32Speaker 4: around like nothing's wrong? Would I be low down for
- 58:35Speaker 4: leaving him if he doesn't change?
- 58:40Speaker 8: All? Right?
- 58:41Speaker 4: First of all, I feel for you, I really do,
- 58:44Speaker 4: because he's your husband and you love him. You mentioned
- 58:48Speaker 4: that in the letter. But he's turning into an old, smelly, unkept,
- 58:53Speaker 4: stubborn man right before your eyes. I mean, he stopped trying.
- 58:57Speaker 4: He's become selfish, He's become lazy. That does not work
- 59:01Speaker 4: in a marriage if he no longer cares about himself.
- 59:04Speaker 4: What about you, this much younger wife. He was so
- 59:08Speaker 4: proud back in the day. Now he's peeing on himself,
- 59:12Speaker 4: refusing to go to the dentist and get checked out.
- 59:16Speaker 4: I mean, what is it with his teeth crumbling when
- 59:18Speaker 4: he eats? Wouldn't that spur him on to go to
- 59:21Speaker 4: the doctor. I mean, I can appreciate you not wanting
- 59:24Speaker 4: to hurt his feelings, like when he was in Target.
- 59:27Speaker 4: You know you just bought him a clean pair of underwear,
- 59:30Speaker 4: but you know you want to be gentle with him
- 59:32Speaker 4: and everything.
- 59:32Speaker 11: But no, what about you in this regard?
- 59:35Speaker 4: I mean, don't you deserve a husband who takes care
- 59:38Speaker 4: of himself and who gets his regular checkups, dental and otherwise.
- 59:42Speaker 11: Yes, of course you do.
- 59:43Speaker 4: I really don't know anyone who who wants to get
- 59:46Speaker 4: old or who likes going to the dentist or doctor.
- 59:49Speaker 4: But at seventy six, he is older. He really needs
- 59:52Speaker 4: to go. You say it's paranoid, you might leave him
- 59:55Speaker 4: for a younger man. Well, I mean, you know that's
- 59:57Speaker 4: a consideration, but he should be more concerned. Learn about
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: himself and his health and his quality of life and
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: living and just you know, not getting sick and all
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: of that. I mean, you can't give up on him either.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: You got to let him know that you do care
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: about him. You got to talk to him. You got
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: to persuade him to go to the dentist or at
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: the very least, you know, get him some depends. He's
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: got to do something or I'm sure you're going to
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: be thinking about your future options.
- 1:00:25Speaker 11: At this rate. He's just giving you away. He doesn't care.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: Cleanliness and hygiene are deal breakers in any relationship, any marriage.
- 1:00:35Speaker 11: You guys got to do something. This is crazyness.
- 1:00:38Speaker 9: Steve Well, I'm first of all, before I start, I
- 1:00:45Speaker 9: just want to say that my response to this letter,
- 1:00:51Speaker 9: I'm not here to help you.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: I just want to put that out that nice and clear.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: What are you here to do?
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: I'm here to just talk about this letter. Your husband
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: is seventy six and you sixty. You worked with his
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: daughter years ago, and that's how y'all met. See, you
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: probably met him when you when he was sixty. Oh
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: the time ain't been kind to him. You know, y'all
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: started dating, and you know he loved having a younger
- 1:01:23Speaker 9: woman on his arm. But as he's gotten older, he's
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: getting more paranoid, and asked, would you leave him for a.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Man my age?
- 1:01:36Speaker 9: And then you know you said what you're supposed to
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: say when you're right in. I took my red and
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: bile seriously, and he know I love him. But he'll
- 1:01:44Speaker 9: go the letter now. But he on my last nerve?
- 1:01:50Speaker 9: And why is he on your last nerve? Well, let's
- 1:01:53Speaker 9: review this because he ain't aging well. Oh he looking
- 1:02:02Speaker 9: a bit of seventy six plus five. Yeah, he got
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: eighty one rode all over his Yeah, he ain't doing
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: good and he ain't even fighting good. He don't even
- 1:02:15Speaker 9: know what to do. See because he spent years abusing
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: alcohol and finally caught up with him and the number
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: one complain it makes all his teeth to crumble when
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: he eats crunchy food.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna stop.
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: Right here, because when I get into this subject can
- 1:02:34Speaker 9: tell you what's really happening I need.

- 1:14:05Speaker 4: a kid, your concept of wealth can be a little off,
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: and it's not until you grow up that you realize
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: what you.
- 1:14:10Speaker 11: Thought was a sign of wealth really wasn't.
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: Well now, thanks to the new social media trend, millennials
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: are sharing things that they thought were a sign of
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: wealth growing up. For instance, I'll give you theirs and
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: then you guys can come up with your own.
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: Millennials thought that having a water or ice dispenser in
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: the fridge that meant you were rich.
- 1:14:34Speaker 19: Helium balloons, helium, but if we just had walk water
- 1:14:44Speaker 19: is free?
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Oh not disconnect?
- 1:14:49Speaker 20: Oh all right, all right, god stayed the time.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Man, y'all a rich everybody a drink some water.
- 1:15:04Speaker 9: Be like, hey man, your mama, don't put that garage,
- 1:15:06Speaker 9: don't don't put your holes up in the neck.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: You could just go cut your holes on.
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: Go ahead whenever you feel like it, all right. Millennials
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: also thought that a helium balloons, not the kind that
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: you blow up with your mouth and just you know,
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: tape to stuff, but helium balloons that was a sign
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: of wealth.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: Oh like decorations as that float yeah yeah, oh hell
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: yeah that could ride off in there.
- 1:15:38Speaker 16: Yeah oh hell yeah.
- 1:15:43Speaker 9: Because we were blowing out was up at the party,
- 1:15:45Speaker 9: we had tape on the wall, right, Yeah, you.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: Had to take them on the wall and put them
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: on the string.
- 1:15:51Speaker 10: Then you bust one of them all and just suck
- 1:15:54Speaker 10: in the helium.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Dogs so you can talk to yourself, talk dog. You
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: know how much how hard I get beat if I take.
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: What about this one.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: Millennials that you were rich if you had a house
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: with the chandelier.
- 1:16:11Speaker 11: Chandelier, that's what they think Richard. Yeah, uh huh uh chandelier. Yeah, chandelier.
- 1:16:21Speaker 9: No, if you had that lamp with that light on
- 1:16:25Speaker 9: that had the three levels you could click it on.
- 1:16:28Speaker 11: Oh yeah, low, medium and what.
- 1:16:32Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm gonna tell you, rich Remember the oil lamp
- 1:16:37Speaker 10: that you.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Had an all run down mm hmm.
- 1:16:42Speaker 11: That was the lamp if it oil.
- 1:16:45Speaker 10: Was running down that lamp. But we turned it on
- 1:16:47Speaker 10: for nights when we had people coming over.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: No, dog, you mean you're talking about lava lamps?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Yes, you are.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: Know I'm talking about.
- 1:16:54Speaker 9: What are you talking about? All Yeah, you're talking about
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: lava limp. Need to know what it is?
- 1:17:00Speaker 6: Lava?
- 1:17:03Speaker 11: If you had what one of those in your apartment?
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: Hell, y'all had one in the apartment. I had two
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: of them. You're doing for girls? I had blue and orange. Yeah,
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: I love it all right.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: So millennials thought that if you had want more than
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: one car.
- 1:17:26Speaker 11: You're rich.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: More than we had it. If you had a car,
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: they got a driveway, they got a car.
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: Now, now we had millennials also thought if you sat
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: down at dinner at the table to eat as a
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: family that you're wealthy.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: Hell now, we ain't never.
- 1:17:52Speaker 10: Tell you right now man, my mama, my daddy, we
- 1:17:54Speaker 10: ain't got a picture together.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: What you talking about? Sit at the table? He got
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: no vision?
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: He didner? He didn't great, Steve.
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: Well, I didn't really, It just appeared I dinner, my family,
- 1:18:15Speaker 9: my dedicated home.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: We couldn't eat to heat got.
- 1:18:17Speaker 11: Home right, that's right? When served first?
- 1:18:22Speaker 9: Oh if he worked out, did dinner late? Wow, my
- 1:18:26Speaker 9: mom's her table with dedico home.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: All right, guys, we'll have more of the Steve.
- 1:18:31Speaker 9: Your daddy bought all these groceries in here. You ain't
- 1:18:33Speaker 9: gonna eat this for your daddy.
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: Coming up at twenty minutes after right after this, you're
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You know, there
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: is such a thing as August blues. Now that we're
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: in the month of August, so I gotta ask you,
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: do you have the August blues?
- 1:18:53Speaker 11: Well, if you do, you're not alone.
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: It seems August is a downer month for many people
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: because it signals that some is ending. For some, that
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: means the end of summer fun. For others, it makes
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: them aware that summer is almost over and they didn't
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: go on vacation or do any of the fun things
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: that they wanted to.
- 1:19:10Speaker 11: Do all summer.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Others are overwhelmed by back to school, back to work,
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: back to reality, scrambling and scheduling. So the question is,
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: does anybody have the August blues on this show? You
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: guys kind of feeling that a little bit. You're feeling
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: good about this month.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: August is just like my November. So here what that?
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: And what?
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: Yeah, ain't over on fin to go back to school. Hell,
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: I'm at work.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so you got the blues.
- 1:19:50Speaker 9: Blues because I'm grateful. Man, I'm working. I ain't got
- 1:19:56Speaker 9: the blues. I had the blues though, living in that
- 1:20:00Speaker 9: car had permanent blues.
- 1:20:05Speaker 11: Fat But look at you now.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: I'm so tired of living out here.
- 1:20:10Speaker 9: I'm so tired of beanscare won't you help me?
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: Lord? Let me leave somewhere.
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: Coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour will
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: play around, would you rather? Right after this, you're listening

- 1:21:20Speaker 2: You have, man, you just you just all over the place.
- 1:21:22Speaker 9: And when you miss Nicky, you're gonna have wet marks
- 1:21:29Speaker 9: on your leg.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: And I can't take it up and down. That's too
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: much bang it.
- 1:21:34Speaker 12: And when you get it caught up in that rope,
- 1:21:35Speaker 12: that's that's that's entanglement.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: That's entangled.
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: But I'm a fake though, because I couldn't slam into
- 1:21:43Speaker 9: my thighs ten times and still be conscious.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: I can't get there nowhere in the words, I'm gonna
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: that's gonna be.
- 1:21:50Speaker 9: Some short, short, short, short rope jumping fell, Steve unconscious.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: Putting his helmet on. It's gonna look like I'm going
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: bike riding, but I'm.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Not all right.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: Would you rather wink at every woman you see? Or
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: bark at every woman you see?
- 1:22:14Speaker 11: So what are we doing? Are we winking or are
- 1:22:16Speaker 11: we barking?
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: Whatever?
- 1:22:19Speaker 12: You're gonna wear your eyes winking. That's just you're gonna
- 1:22:23Speaker 12: be sleep Just.
- 1:22:25Speaker 9: Just I'm gonna tell you about that bark gonna get

- 1:22:40Speaker 9: go home.
- 1:22:43Speaker 11: Too much, too much.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: Well, I can't do it no more. You don't bark
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: no more. You got the new young brus. You know
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: who they are? Are you okay?
- 1:22:58Speaker 9: You got them old brus and make you give it
- 1:23:00Speaker 9: to him?
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: So you guys want to wink? Would you rather bathe
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: in pickled juice? Or would you rather bathe and warm
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: hot dog water?
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Pickle juice can't get up in there.
- 1:23:16Speaker 9: No, that pickle juice gonna create a fo That pickle
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: juice can't touch.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: Now, one of them opening stella I'm selling hot dog water.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: Can hot dog water? Ain't no vinegar in that? I
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: want that hot dog water. Yeah, my brothers. Let me
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: tell you what my brothers used to do.
- 1:23:36Speaker 9: They was an They would eat all the hot dogs
- 1:23:41Speaker 9: and pour the hot water juice in the bowl with
- 1:23:43Speaker 9: some crackers and tell them that was soup.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: You did that to me, I'm gonna be talking about
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: about you did well.
- 1:23:49Speaker 9: How I had to learn it from somewhere. I thought
- 1:23:54Speaker 9: it was a good thing to pass.
- 1:23:55Speaker 11: On family tradition.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: Thinking I had some soup. I renally deal, I swim.
- 1:24:03Speaker 18: I told her, all right, we'll be back in forty

- 1:25:00Speaker 11: Here we are guys, our last break of the day.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Hey listen, I have some clothing remarks.
- 1:25:05Speaker 9: After spending some time last week with myself, I came
- 1:25:10Speaker 9: away with some great takeaways and it's a it's really
- 1:25:15Speaker 9: really hard, I know, for the average person to take
- 1:25:18Speaker 9: time to their self. It's really really hard for me
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: because I have so many things attached to my life.
- 1:25:26Speaker 9: I have such a huge life, and I realized it
- 1:25:31Speaker 9: and I do realize it when I try to set
- 1:25:34Speaker 9: this life down sometimes and just give it a rest.
- 1:25:39Speaker 9: Everybody needs a rest. Everybody needs a break. Everybody needs
- 1:25:45Speaker 9: some time to they self. But my team did the
- 1:25:48Speaker 9: best they could without bothering me with stuff that was.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: The day to day.
- 1:25:54Speaker 9: They only text me if it was pressing and they
- 1:25:57Speaker 9: had to have a response, and I'm the only one
- 1:26:00Speaker 9: that can give them a response. So they played it
- 1:26:02Speaker 9: so I wasn't bombarded with a lot of stuff last week.
- 1:26:07Speaker 9: I was still a lot of requests was coming in,
- 1:26:10Speaker 9: but not the usual amount. And even though what I'm
- 1:26:14Speaker 9: telling you, I know is difficult to do. It's difficult
- 1:26:17Speaker 9: to just take some time for yourself, but it's imperative.
- 1:26:22Speaker 9: And I discovered that I really have to do it
- 1:26:24Speaker 9: more and I really really have to discover that I
- 1:26:28Speaker 9: have to just.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: Do or more things for me.
- 1:26:31Speaker 9: I do so much, and a lot of women can
- 1:26:34Speaker 9: relate to this, and a lot of men. You do
- 1:26:37Speaker 9: so much for other people that you look up at
- 1:26:40Speaker 9: the end of the day and you ain't done nothing
- 1:26:42Speaker 9: for yourself. You take care the kids, you take care
- 1:26:46Speaker 9: of the house, You take care of your man, You
- 1:26:49Speaker 9: take care of your wife, You take care of the kids.
- 1:26:52Speaker 9: You go to work, you take care of them, bills.
- 1:26:55Speaker 9: You come home, you take care of the yard. Something
- 1:26:58Speaker 9: happening with the car, you gotta go see about that.
- 1:27:01Speaker 9: Something happened up at the school, you gotta go see that.
- 1:27:03Speaker 9: Then if you got a child that's got some extra
- 1:27:05Speaker 9: curriculum activities, now you gotta support that because that's your job.
- 1:27:09Speaker 9: Because your child can't get there unless you take them there.
- 1:27:12Speaker 9: And it's just it gets to be a lot. But
- 1:27:16Speaker 9: you can't forget about you because without you, this whole
- 1:27:20Speaker 9: thing don't really work. So every now and then, I
- 1:27:25Speaker 9: can't tell you how often, or I can't tell you
- 1:27:28Speaker 9: how to make it happen, but you've got to take
- 1:27:31Speaker 9: some time to get with just yourself. And you know
- 1:27:34Speaker 9: what it does like, it's sort of refreshing because you
- 1:27:36Speaker 9: get to reintroduce yourself to yourself. You know, it's kind
- 1:27:39Speaker 9: of good to get to know yourself. Think your thoughts,
- 1:27:43Speaker 9: respond the way you wanna respond. Respond, Sit where you
- 1:27:48Speaker 9: want to sit, look out the window, look out at
- 1:27:51Speaker 9: the water, look out at the park, look out in
- 1:27:53Speaker 9: your backyard, and just have your own thoughts.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: That is such a cool thing to do.
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:28:02Speaker 9: Spend a lot of time meditating and praying. You know,
- 1:28:05Speaker 9: I finally took me a long time, but I just
- 1:28:08Speaker 9: learned this a couple years ago. The difference between meditation
- 1:28:12Speaker 9: and prayer. Prayer is talking to God. Prayer is talking
- 1:28:18Speaker 9: to God, putting in request of God, telling God about
- 1:28:23Speaker 9: your gratitude, your thoughts, your dreams, your ambitions, your goals.
- 1:28:28Speaker 9: Is saying thank you. Prayer is talking to God. But
- 1:28:33Speaker 9: meditating is different. Meditating is listening to God. Get yourself
- 1:28:39Speaker 9: somewhere in a steal place and be quiet and ask
- 1:28:43Speaker 9: God and ask his spirit to just talk to you,
- 1:28:46Speaker 9: to calm you, to give you peace, to keep you
- 1:28:51Speaker 9: enclosed in your right mind, to just give you a
- 1:28:55Speaker 9: to help you with your decisions, you know, to just
- 1:28:58Speaker 9: sit there and listen know what he has to say.
- 1:29:02Speaker 9: Bishop Kenneth Olman out in Los Angeles taught me one
- 1:29:05Speaker 9: of the most valuable lessons I've ever heard. You know,
- 1:29:09Speaker 9: how you have people come up to you and they
- 1:29:10Speaker 9: may say God told me to tell you this, or
- 1:29:14Speaker 9: God told me to tell you that. You've ever heard
- 1:29:17Speaker 9: people come up to you like that. I'm always leery
- 1:29:19Speaker 9: when people come up to me and say, oh, I'm
- 1:29:21Speaker 9: glad I met you, Because God wanted me to tell
- 1:29:23Speaker 9: you this. You know what he told me that rings true.
- 1:29:28Speaker 9: I was asking. I said, man, how do you know
- 1:29:31Speaker 9: it's God just telling you something? Bishop Kenneth Oma said,
- 1:29:35Speaker 9: because God's voice has no sin in it. Because I've
- 1:29:40Speaker 9: heard people say, I'm gonna go down there and tell him.
- 1:29:42Speaker 9: The Lord talk to me, and I'm gonna go down
- 1:29:44Speaker 9: there and tell them what's on my mind. God ain't
- 1:29:47Speaker 9: never told you to go down there and telling people off.
- 1:29:50Speaker 9: God ain't never told you to go down there and
- 1:29:53Speaker 9: show them who the boss is. God don't tell you
- 1:29:56Speaker 9: to go down there and bust out no car window.
- 1:30:00Speaker 9: God ain't told you to post something wrong about a person.
- 1:30:03Speaker 9: God ain't never told you to seek revenge. God ain't
- 1:30:07Speaker 9: never told you to go down there and show nobody up,
- 1:30:10Speaker 9: embarrass nobody. God's voice has no sin in it. So
- 1:30:16Speaker 9: when people come up to you and they talk to
- 1:30:17Speaker 9: you and they say that God told me to tell
- 1:30:19Speaker 9: you this, you know it's always interesting. Because I talk
- 1:30:21Speaker 9: to God every day. I hardly ever miss a day.
- 1:30:25Speaker 9: So when a person comes up to me and tell
- 1:30:27Speaker 9: me what God told him, he didn't even tell me
- 1:30:30Speaker 9: that I would be talking to you today. And now
- 1:30:33Speaker 9: some people do have messages, but a lot of them don't,
- 1:30:36Speaker 9: So be conscious of it. Take some time out for yourself,
- 1:30:40Speaker 9: don't forget to pray, meditate, spend some time alone, get
- 1:30:44Speaker 9: to know yourself and remember something about prayer.
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: Prayer works.
- 1:30:48Speaker 9: So don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray,
- 1:30:51Speaker 9: and don't ever be too proud to pray, because prayer
- 1:30:55Speaker 9: prayer changes things. Okay, those are my closing remarks today. Hey,
- 1:31:01Speaker 9: look talk to God today y'all. He'd love to hear
- 1:31:03Speaker 9: from you.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: Peace Home.
