- 2:03Speaker 1: But good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on now, dig me want and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:12Speaker 1: what radio show man? What you're doing with it? Trying
- 2:17Speaker 1: to do the very very best I can with it?
- 2:19Speaker 1: I really am. You know I get tired sometimes on
- 2:23Speaker 1: my journey. I'm not gonna kid you. Um. Trying to
- 2:27Speaker 1: make something about yourself is a task. If you want
- 2:34Speaker 1: to attempt to do something and and and understand going
- 2:38Speaker 1: in that that. If the thing you're trying to do
- 2:42Speaker 1: is to improve yourself, to better your position, to better
- 2:47Speaker 1: your relationship, your family, anything, you're trying to be a
- 2:52Speaker 1: better you. You're trying to make more money, you're trying
- 2:57Speaker 1: to get it together, you're trying to change if any
- 3:01Speaker 1: of those things are in your hopes and dreams. Know
- 3:06Speaker 1: this right here, you are about to face some challenges.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But you might as well go ahead anyway and face
- 3:15Speaker 1: those challenges, because if you don't, you have a whole
- 3:19Speaker 1: other set of challenges to face. You know, it's a
- 3:22Speaker 1: it's a It's an amazing thing. Man, How people sit
- 3:25Speaker 1: around and they watch other people strike out to become successful.
- 3:30Speaker 1: They sit in the stands watching these people play out
- 3:33Speaker 1: these games, and they and they and they criticize, They boo,
- 3:38Speaker 1: they laugh at their efforts and everything, and they talk
- 3:41Speaker 1: about the fairies. He missed that game when it shot. Boy,
- 3:44Speaker 1: he sucked. Man, he did this. He ain't worth that.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I hear people who sit and stands who criticize people
- 3:54Speaker 1: who are out there on the playing field. Now, when
- 3:58Speaker 1: you're on the plane field, you have a set of
- 4:02Speaker 1: challenges in front of you. You're going to be open
- 4:04Speaker 1: to criticism, You're going to be open to ridicule. You're
- 4:09Speaker 1: going to be talked about when you don't know the
- 4:12Speaker 1: people who are talking about you. Now, here's the upside
- 4:20Speaker 1: to being the player on the field that's facing all
- 4:23Speaker 1: the challenges, to criticisms, the laughing, the joke to being
- 4:27Speaker 1: talked about. He has something going for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl,
- 4:36Speaker 1: man has an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity
- 4:44Speaker 1: to win. And then the game of life. Just because
- 4:49Speaker 1: you lose one of the games, or you lose one
- 4:52Speaker 1: of the matches, it don't mean you've lost. You don't
- 4:55Speaker 1: get put out. You keep playing. And when you playing,
- 5:01Speaker 1: here's the upside. You have the opportunity to win. And
- 5:05Speaker 1: but guess what, You're gonna win some of the matches.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the points. You're gonna make
- 5:09Speaker 1: some of the dunks. You're gonna hit some of them
- 5:11Speaker 1: over the wall. You're gonna hit some of them out
- 5:13Speaker 1: the park. You're gonna score some goals. You will if
- 5:18Speaker 1: you're playing the game. Here's the problem with the people
- 5:23Speaker 1: who don't face criticism, who nobody boos or cheers for,
- 5:28Speaker 1: who sits in the stands and knows neither victory nor defeat.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Those people, without realizing it, are facing a set of
- 5:40Speaker 1: challenges also. And the challenges they're facing is how I'm
- 5:45Speaker 1: gonna live with myself? What I'm gonna do now? What
- 5:53Speaker 1: direction am I going in? Where am I gonna live
- 6:00Speaker 1: wonder what job will hire me, Wonder if I can
- 6:05Speaker 1: get paid for criticize. Oh woe is me? I can't
- 6:12Speaker 1: find the purpose in my life. And man, I'm just
- 6:17Speaker 1: waking up in a state of confusion. I don't know
- 6:19Speaker 1: what to do. Now, let me ask you something which
- 6:23Speaker 1: one of them said, of challenges you rather be faced with.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Because if I'm on the flow playing, if I'm on
- 6:29Speaker 1: the field playing, if I'm out on the court playing,
- 6:33Speaker 1: then guess what I got a chance at winning? But
- 6:37Speaker 1: guess what I'm doing every day while I'm playing. I'm strategizing.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'm waking up with a purpose. I'm waking up trying
- 6:44Speaker 1: to come up with another angle. I'm in pursuit of
- 6:48Speaker 1: a goal every single day. Versus the people in the
- 6:54Speaker 1: stands who know neither victory nor defeat. Get in the game.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Face the challenges. Better yourself, better your wife, better your children,
- 7:10Speaker 1: better your condition, better your employment status, better your job,
- 7:13Speaker 1: better your career. Take a shot. Come on, man, what
- 7:16Speaker 1: you're waiting on? Because the alternative is to watch other
- 7:20Speaker 1: people play the game? You know what I just do?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Sometimes Sometimes I just I get Forbes magazine or Money magazine,
- 7:29Speaker 1: or sometimes I still grab a copy of rob Report.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I just flipped through it just to see get I
- 7:36Speaker 1: used to get these this book called Unique Homes. Unique
- 7:40Speaker 1: Homes is a magazine that just has a lot of
- 7:42Speaker 1: extravagant houses that's on sale across the country, across the world.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I used to flip through. Man, let me just see, man,
- 7:50Speaker 1: what the people that's playing the game out there doing.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Stop watching other people become successful when you could very
- 7:57Speaker 1: easily be you if you make the decision. But when
- 8:01Speaker 1: you make the decision to become successful, get ready for
- 8:04Speaker 1: a series of challenges. I think it's more difficult not
- 8:08Speaker 1: to accept the challenge. I think it's for me. This
- 8:13Speaker 1: is just for me. It may not be the case
- 8:15Speaker 1: for you. For me, I think it's far more difficult
- 8:17Speaker 1: to wake up and just see how life gonna go today,
- 8:20Speaker 1: because man, it could just deal you any kind of
- 8:22Speaker 1: hand today. You understand, I don't like, you know, spades.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Let's talk a card game, folks, the game of spades. Really, man,
- 8:33Speaker 1: it ain't a whole lot you can do if you
- 8:35Speaker 1: don't get no spades. Really, it's a little couple of
- 8:38Speaker 1: little strategies you're gonna do. But you can have all
- 8:41Speaker 1: this age King queen diamond all you want, But man,
- 8:43Speaker 1: you ain't got no spades. They're cutting them. You're in trouble.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Be it whist. Different game. You can create what's in
- 8:51Speaker 1: your hand. You got dealt a hand too, But you
- 8:54Speaker 1: can create a hand. You can call a trump. You
- 8:57Speaker 1: can make diamonds your space. You can make it hard
- 9:01Speaker 1: to clubs your spades. That's what I'm saying. That's what
- 9:03Speaker 1: it is. You can do something with it. It's a
- 9:05Speaker 1: different game, man, you can strategize. I would rather have
- 9:09Speaker 1: a say so in my life than to wake up
- 9:11Speaker 1: every day and just see how it's going. I think
- 9:13Speaker 1: it's more difficult to not accept the challenge to be
- 9:17Speaker 1: something than it is to accept the challenge to be something.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I think it's more difficult to sit around and not
- 9:23Speaker 1: be nothing. I think it's harder to watch everybody's life
- 9:26Speaker 1: going somewhere but mine. I think it would be very
- 9:29Speaker 1: difficult for me to sit here and hear them talking
- 9:31Speaker 1: about other people and never mention my name. I would
- 9:34Speaker 1: be difficult for me to see everybody rising getting promotions
- 9:37Speaker 1: accept me. That would be difficult for me. It may
- 9:41Speaker 1: not be for you, but for me it would be
- 9:43Speaker 1: quite challenging. I would rather accept the challenge of making
- 9:46Speaker 1: something out of my life than to sit there and
- 9:49Speaker 1: criticize those and then watch and see how my life
- 9:53Speaker 1: just may go. Okay, just a thought today you're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, it's about to go down. If I
- 10:06Speaker 1: were you, this is what I would do. Call your mama, Neil.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Tell him. Steve Harvey got a radio show and his
- 10:16Speaker 1: own right now, like right now, Sherley Straw Steve, right now,
- 10:23Speaker 1: right now, Carler for real, rat now, good morning, Steve.

- 10:37Speaker 1: I'll tell y'all in a minute. Junior, what's up? Morning? Uncle?
- 10:40Speaker 1: Yes he is? Uh? Jay Anthony Brown? What up? Steve Harvey?
- 10:47Speaker 1: Watched out? Dare not tape of the morning to Thomas
- 10:52Speaker 1: Miles gassa Steve, what it do? What it do? Sherley
- 10:56Speaker 1: Carller Junior? And Jay? Well the reason I'm calling him?
- 11:00Speaker 1: And what you all? Miss wester strawleta yesterday woman wrote
- 11:04Speaker 1: in anonymously. At first wouldn't say who it was. She
- 11:07Speaker 1: hasn't this man that she's never Mett and the sheer food.
- 11:12Speaker 1: She's falling in love with him and has never met him,
- 11:16Speaker 1: but the sound of his voice makes her toes curl.
- 11:21Speaker 1: She would talk about Junior come and I said, he Junior?
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah that right there. Yeah, that's that's too, Curt. I'm
- 11:34Speaker 1: talking about right. I'm popping big toe ells off right now. Okay,
- 11:38Speaker 1: she's listening to Junior right now. What what do you
- 11:40Speaker 1: have to say, Junior? You know what I really doing
- 11:42Speaker 1: for her? If you've sing some jodicy man', she ain't
- 11:50Speaker 1: you'll be able to hand that because if I just
- 11:52Speaker 1: talk her toes curling, come on, taking my mother, my house,
- 12:04Speaker 1: in my car for you. You can't have it all, hey,
- 12:16Speaker 1: because making look every time we do curl is worse
- 12:25Speaker 1: than drum. Because I'm in attic for you. This drives
- 12:32Speaker 1: me crazy. I can't leave you alone. You've got me fee?
- 12:44Speaker 1: Can me fee for? You can't leave you alone? She
- 12:56Speaker 1: got curly. You got to fight you boom, send them
- 13:08Speaker 1: fin you boyd is fun you? Oh thank you, Junior girl.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I'm know right now? She in a ball coming up
- 13:24Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour. That was Greatness, Part two,
- 13:31Speaker 1: Part two of Something Politically Funny. The second night of
- 13:34Speaker 1: the Democratic national debate was last night in my AMMI.
- 13:38Speaker 1: We will talk about it right after this. I will
- 13:40Speaker 1: tell you this. Kamala killed it. You're listening to the
- 13:44Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show, all right. So last night in Miammi
- 13:49Speaker 1: was part two of ten Democratic presidential hopefuls who shared
- 13:53Speaker 1: a stage to try and convince America why they are
- 13:57Speaker 1: the best choice to challenge Resident Trump in the twenty
- 14:01Speaker 1: twenty election. They talked about middle class taxes, climate change,
- 14:07Speaker 1: defeating Trump. Take a listen when Kamala Harris challenged Joe
- 14:11Speaker 1: Biden on his past opposition on busting check this out.
- 14:15Speaker 1: It was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations
- 14:20Speaker 1: of two United States senators who built their reputations and
- 14:25Speaker 1: career on the segregation of race in this country. And
- 14:30Speaker 1: it was not only that, but you also worked with
- 14:34Speaker 1: them to a post busing. And you know, there was
- 14:37Speaker 1: a little girl in California who was part of the
- 14:40Speaker 1: second class to integrate her public schools and she was
- 14:44Speaker 1: bused to school every day. And that little girl was
- 14:48Speaker 1: me to mischaracter my position across the board. I did
- 14:53Speaker 1: not praise racist. That is not true. Number one. Number two,
- 14:57Speaker 1: if we want to have this campaign litigated. Supports civil rights,
- 15:01Speaker 1: and whether I did or not, I'm happy to do that.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I was a public defender. I didn't become a prosecutor.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I came out. I left a good law firm and
- 15:08Speaker 1: become a public defender. Number two, as the US has
- 15:11Speaker 1: excused me, as the Vice President United States, I work
- 15:14Speaker 1: with a man who, in fact, we worked very hard
- 15:17Speaker 1: to see to what we dealt with these issues in
- 15:19Speaker 1: a major, major way. Also, take a listen when Kamala
- 15:23Speaker 1: shut it down with everyone talking at the same time.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Check this out. We will let we will let you
- 15:36Speaker 1: all speak of Hey, guys, you know what. America does
- 15:41Speaker 1: not want to witness a food fight. They want to
- 15:43Speaker 1: know how we're gonna put food on their table. So
- 15:52Speaker 1: the best ed libs are written down. As you waiting it.
- 15:55Speaker 1: With that one, you knew what was gonna happen to
- 16:01Speaker 1: boom Wow. Yeah, I was trying to put together so
- 16:06Speaker 1: much for us trying to do that. Well, maybe he
- 16:08Speaker 1: could be VP again it, maybe he could be her VP.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Tem Yeah so us so Steve Well and Bernie. Bernie
- 16:21Speaker 1: had some moments too. So obviously, like you said last night, Steve,
- 16:24Speaker 1: it was gonna be the night before last. It was
- 16:27Speaker 1: gonna be about these three, you know, Harry, Sanders and Biden.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Understand everybody's trying to get the nod, right, Yeah, they're
- 16:37Speaker 1: all running for the presidency, not for the vice presidents.
- 16:42Speaker 1: But we also have got to understand something very critical
- 16:47Speaker 1: here as a party. This circular firing squad, that's this
- 16:53Speaker 1: is dangerous. So say it again, what do you mean now?
- 16:56Speaker 1: Circular You know, firing squad is usually one person up
- 16:59Speaker 1: against all and everybody else over there with a gun. Well,
- 17:02Speaker 1: what we're doing nine, We all got a gun and
- 17:04Speaker 1: we're standing in a circle. Now, when somebody hill of fire,
- 17:10Speaker 1: who's gonna be left standing? Well, that's the problem with
- 17:13Speaker 1: the circular firing squad. And when you do these things
- 17:18Speaker 1: like this, this is what we end up with. And
- 17:20Speaker 1: I just don't know how we're gonna get to what
- 17:22Speaker 1: we need to. We need the pair that's gonna bring
- 17:26Speaker 1: down Trump and Pence. That's what you need. That's the objective. Now,
- 17:32Speaker 1: the people with the money who backed these campaigns, they
- 17:35Speaker 1: need to start getting this message cross or else. Imagine,
- 17:40Speaker 1: imagine a circular firing squad. Do you know what that is? Man?
- 17:46Speaker 1: Sad Jake aim fire. We're in a circle, partner. But
- 17:53Speaker 1: don't you think this is you know, this was the
- 17:55Speaker 1: first two debates and they're about maybe I think ten
- 17:59Speaker 1: or eleven more. Yeah, that our schedule before you know,
- 18:03Speaker 1: we get to I'm saying the final two. Then they'll
- 18:09Speaker 1: have more debates. Yeah, this is just Yeah, any debate
- 18:13Speaker 1: like this, you have to make a name for yourself.
- 18:16Speaker 1: And the only way to do it, and I know
- 18:18Speaker 1: it's a fine squad is to go after the top guy.
- 18:21Speaker 1: You have to go after the top guy. If not,
- 18:24Speaker 1: he stands alone. And I thought what she did was great,
- 18:28Speaker 1: which is a straight out of Trump's book. That's what
- 18:30Speaker 1: Trump did. He started shooting down everybody in there, calling
- 18:36Speaker 1: him names, taking him out, making them weak. The one
- 18:38Speaker 1: who hits first in this case is the winner. I mean,
- 18:41Speaker 1: I know it looks around, it looks bad that they're
- 18:43Speaker 1: all fighting. Yeah, but that's all she had to do.
- 18:46Speaker 1: There was no I don't think there was any other
- 18:48Speaker 1: way she could go. Well, I'm not knocking. I'm not
- 18:51Speaker 1: knocking for her. You know, this isn't a knock on
- 18:54Speaker 1: her at all. You know, the food fight line was
- 18:59Speaker 1: absolutely man. Yeah, so this is not a knock on her.
- 19:04Speaker 1: But as we try to position ourselves, we have to
- 19:08Speaker 1: remember the ultimate goal, and the Democratic Party knows this.
- 19:13Speaker 1: You have to put forth a ticket that's gonna beat
- 19:15Speaker 1: Donald Trump. But else we're in real trouble. You're absolutely right,
- 19:20Speaker 1: You're absolutely right. We had to be Trump and that's
- 19:24Speaker 1: the objective. You gotta play chess, though you gotta demeaned everybody. Yeah, well,
- 19:29Speaker 1: and he won, though he won't demeaned everybody over it. Yeah,
- 19:33Speaker 1: he's still doing it, yea, and still doing it. But
- 19:36Speaker 1: we be opposite of that. You would you would you
- 19:40Speaker 1: would think so, junior, You would think so. But we
- 19:42Speaker 1: can't win. We can't win, all right, fair, Yeah, all right,
- 19:47Speaker 1: post your comments about last night's debate on Steve Harvey FM.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Coming up next, run that prank back with a nephew
- 19:53Speaker 1: right after this you're listening. Coming up at the top
- 19:59Speaker 1: of the hour, entertainment news and a big announcement, big announcement, guys.
- 20:04Speaker 1: People have been asking about it, the Sand and Soul Festival.
- 20:07Speaker 1: All right, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, thank you see
- 20:12Speaker 1: in advance, but at first the nephew is here, would
- 20:15Speaker 1: run that prank back? What you got for his nap.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Can I borrow you're a freezer? No, you may not.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I don't have heard. You don't even know what I
- 20:25Speaker 1: need with it? Carla the answering. Let me borrow your
- 20:30Speaker 1: freezing You ain't got them with meet up in there.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Let me borrow your freeze? Met you hear me? All right?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Ket Doug, let's go. Can I borrow your freezing equipment?
- 20:41Speaker 1: Does this train on? How can I help you? I'm
- 20:43Speaker 1: trying to reach Dale. Dale's the manager, right, yes, Dale
- 20:46Speaker 1: is the manager. How can I help you? Okay? Is
- 20:48Speaker 1: Dale available? Is he there? Keep actually with a customer?
- 20:52Speaker 1: Is there something that I can help you with? Or
- 20:54Speaker 1: pass along a message? Okay? So y'all allied equiply? What what? What?
- 20:58Speaker 1: What exactly do y'all have there? I'm gonna make sure
- 21:01Speaker 1: i'm calling the right place. Oh yes, of course. It's
- 21:03Speaker 1: a restaurant supply company. So we have you know, everything
- 21:08Speaker 1: from freezers, refrigerators to your basic restaurant supplies. Okay, y'all
- 21:14Speaker 1: do have freezings, because that's what I'm trying to do.
- 21:17Speaker 1: What I'm trying to do is I've run out of
- 21:20Speaker 1: freezer space, and I'm trying to see if possibly you know,
- 21:24Speaker 1: my back is up against the wall right now. I'm
- 21:26Speaker 1: trying to see if I can possibly put something in
- 21:30Speaker 1: one of you as freezers for a couple of days
- 21:32Speaker 1: until I get freed up on this end. So that's
- 21:35Speaker 1: why I wanted to see if you guys would allow
- 21:38Speaker 1: me to do something like that. Is that possible? M S. Sorry,
- 21:41Speaker 1: I'm a little confused. I don't want to buy a freezer.
- 21:45Speaker 1: You just want to put something in one of our freezers.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I just want to put something there for a couple
- 21:50Speaker 1: of days because I have a freezer, but mine is
- 21:52Speaker 1: completely full, and I'm trying to see if I can
- 21:55Speaker 1: put something you ass freezer and until, you know, for
- 21:57Speaker 1: a couple of days, and then I'll come back and
- 21:59Speaker 1: get it. I'm I'm so sorry. We don't do that.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Um uh. If you wanted to to come by and
- 22:07Speaker 1: purchase the freezer, I'm I'm happy to help you, but
- 22:10Speaker 1: we don't allow outside vendors to put things in our freezers.
- 22:14Speaker 1: That's that's yeah, that's I'm sorry. Okay. Well, well, I
- 22:19Speaker 1: was told if Dale would hear what was going on,
- 22:21Speaker 1: he might he might be able to help me. Though. Okay, um,
- 22:24Speaker 1: you said your name was Kevin. Okay, Kevin, if you
- 22:28Speaker 1: just hold a moment, I will see if Dale can
- 22:30Speaker 1: take your call. That's that's what the hell I asked
- 22:32Speaker 1: in the first plate. Okay, then hold on a minute. Please,
- 22:38Speaker 1: this is Dell Okay, I help you. How are you doing?
- 22:40Speaker 1: This is uh Kevin? Kevin and uh I've been on
- 22:44Speaker 1: the phone with with uh you the salespersons. But let
- 22:48Speaker 1: me tell you what I'm trying to do. Man. I'm um,
- 22:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to use your You have a lot of
- 22:53Speaker 1: walk in freezers that you all sail right right? We do? Yeah? Okay,
- 22:58Speaker 1: So what what I've got is my freezer is completely full, man,
- 23:03Speaker 1: and I'm my back is against the wall. You can't
- 23:08Speaker 1: highly recommended to give you a call. Is it possible
- 23:11Speaker 1: for me to, um, I need to keep something frozen
- 23:14Speaker 1: for a few days. It's only gonna be like two days.
- 23:17Speaker 1: My my freezer will be uh you know, half empty
- 23:21Speaker 1: in a couple of days. I just want to just
- 23:23Speaker 1: need some somebody to just kind of help me out here.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Is it possible for me to bring something over there
- 23:27Speaker 1: to keep keep it frozen for a couple of days?
- 23:30Speaker 1: You know what we got into show room? You know
- 23:32Speaker 1: with different displays so you can see what different kind
- 23:35Speaker 1: of refrigerators look in your restaurants. But I mean, if
- 23:37Speaker 1: you want to come and take a look at one,
- 23:39Speaker 1: I could have you in if you're interested in buying one.
- 23:42Speaker 1: But no, no, he is there for show, you know,
- 23:45Speaker 1: right right? No, No, I have a cooler. I have
- 23:48Speaker 1: a freeze already, but like I say, mine is just full.
- 23:51Speaker 1: In a couple of days it won't be And I
- 23:53Speaker 1: really got to get this this stuff on frozen. Man,
- 23:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna be in trouble. Like I said, I'm I'm
- 23:59Speaker 1: my back us to wall Over hire man. And I
- 24:01Speaker 1: can't remember who recommended you, but you can't highly recommended
- 24:04Speaker 1: that you might be able to show me a little
- 24:06Speaker 1: love on this look. I guess it comes back depends
- 24:08Speaker 1: on what you need, how much? How much did you
- 24:11Speaker 1: have that you need frozen? I mean I don't even
- 24:13Speaker 1: know what you Well, well, I got um three bodies
- 24:17Speaker 1: that I need to get um to keep, you know,
- 24:19Speaker 1: to keep frozen. Man. You know we run the mortuary
- 24:22Speaker 1: over here. This is bold my body. Yeah we got
- 24:25Speaker 1: three people bodies. Yeah, yeah, we got three bodies that
- 24:29Speaker 1: and like I said, my my freezers fall man. But
- 24:32Speaker 1: in a couple of days, you know, these bodies, you know,
- 24:35Speaker 1: the funerals would have happened, so we'll be freed up,
- 24:38Speaker 1: you know. But right now I got I got three
- 24:40Speaker 1: bodies coming in the day that I got to get
- 24:42Speaker 1: in the freezer. Are you crazy? Damn mind? No? No, no,
- 24:47Speaker 1: I'm dead serious. I'm dead seris bro. So I'm like
- 24:51Speaker 1: I said, you can't highly recommend it. You know, I'm
- 24:53Speaker 1: just trying to get somebody to show me a little love. Man.
- 24:55Speaker 1: You got those freezes, you don't have nothing in them,
- 24:57Speaker 1: you know, I just needed for a couple of days.
- 25:00Speaker 1: You gotta be out of your mind. We're not talking
- 25:01Speaker 1: about ice. This isn't chicken wings or reports shoulder. He's
- 25:05Speaker 1: a pepall. You are out of your mind, man, But
- 25:09Speaker 1: but listen to me. Then listen to what I'm gonna
- 25:11Speaker 1: You understand how serious is it I have to keep
- 25:14Speaker 1: them frozen. That's the reason why I'm calling you. I'm
- 25:17Speaker 1: needing your help. Man, Yeah, I understand that. Look, if
- 25:20Speaker 1: you want to, I'll have you come in to buy
- 25:22Speaker 1: your own freezer. You can put your own bodies in
- 25:24Speaker 1: your own freezer. How much fun to show off my shoulder?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Room with frozen bodies and the freezer. But just just
- 25:30Speaker 1: don't just don't show that going for a couple of days,
- 25:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, don't just don't show it
- 25:35Speaker 1: all wall just come you know what? You know what here?
- 25:37Speaker 1: What we could do. We could put the bodies in there,
- 25:39Speaker 1: just cover them up and people don't want to know
- 25:41Speaker 1: what it is. Yeah, and then I get a buyer
- 25:43Speaker 1: that comes in and the cover falls off it and
- 25:45Speaker 1: I got a frozen dead body and my freezer. Is
- 25:48Speaker 1: that even legal? I don't know. Man. All I'm saying
- 25:51Speaker 1: is ters a deal man? You can't highly recommended. They
- 25:54Speaker 1: told me that you would probably show me to love.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I'm actually, you know, getting ready to load up, and
- 26:00Speaker 1: I'm your way, dude, you keep those dead bodies away
- 26:04Speaker 1: from my store. I'm telling you right now, I can't
- 26:06Speaker 1: hook you up on this one, all right. I just
- 26:09Speaker 1: can't do it, okay, but we should the load up
- 26:11Speaker 1: and come that weight though. Man. So you know what
- 26:13Speaker 1: I'm saying, it's I mean, what am I supposed to do?
- 26:17Speaker 1: I have no you know what, you want to come
- 26:19Speaker 1: talk to me. You want to buy a freezer for
- 26:21Speaker 1: yourself and you want to freeze your dead bodies on
- 26:24Speaker 1: your own. I don't care. I'll tell you a freezer.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I got no problem with selling you a freezer. But
- 26:28Speaker 1: you're not bringing the bodies here. It's just not happening.
- 26:31Speaker 1: So if Alonzo, if Alonzo calls you and green lights
- 26:36Speaker 1: it is it, okay, then I highly down. Alonzo's gonna
- 26:41Speaker 1: call me and tell me to put three dead bodies
- 26:44Speaker 1: and our showroom for freezers. I made out that. Okay, okay,
- 26:50Speaker 1: but but guess what Alonzo told me? What did Alonzo?
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm telling you, Alonzo told me to give you a call.
- 26:57Speaker 1: He told me to give you a puting phone call.
- 27:00Speaker 1: This is from the Steve Moment. Come on, are you serious? Yes? Stop, yes,
- 27:11Speaker 1: I'm having my chest hurt. Oh oh z that guy,
- 27:17Speaker 1: well you just you just got franked by your GM baby,
- 27:20Speaker 1: that's why happening right here? All right, man, give me
- 27:25Speaker 1: one more thing. You gotta tell me this right here. Deal.
- 27:27Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I'm talking about the baddest
- 27:30Speaker 1: radio show in the land. It is the Steve Harvey
- 27:33Speaker 1: Morning Show. My friend, I just wanted to put a
- 27:41Speaker 1: body in there for the night, that's all. What's that
- 27:46Speaker 1: gonna hurt? I didn't happen to tell you what I
- 27:49Speaker 1: was gonna put in there. How about that cat into myself.
- 27:58Speaker 1: He's trying to put a body of wait for the night,
- 28:00Speaker 1: to keep it all right, coming up, thinking of you.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, some entertainment
- 28:08Speaker 1: news and Steve's big announcement about sand and soul right
- 28:13Speaker 1: after this you're listening to all right, Steve, come on,
- 28:21Speaker 1: don't make us wait any longer, please, with this big
- 28:23Speaker 1: announcement about sand and soul. What's up? Well, you know,
- 28:27Speaker 1: first of all, let me say this, Okay, with everything
- 28:31Speaker 1: in light of what's going don't don't think for one
- 28:34Speaker 1: minute that we aren't paying attention to this dr situation,
- 28:38Speaker 1: because we are. I think everybody that knows me knows
- 28:44Speaker 1: that I'm not about to take my fans, the people
- 28:49Speaker 1: who supported me over the years, into a situation and
- 28:52Speaker 1: hope they be okay. I would. I just that's unthinkable,
- 28:58Speaker 1: you know, and all the stories that out there, it's
- 29:00Speaker 1: just not true. I'm not that person. But but you can't.
- 29:03Speaker 1: But you can't just snatching pool, you know, you gotta
- 29:07Speaker 1: you know, it's a bit's a business transaction. Now, the
- 29:10Speaker 1: people at the hard Rock were very very nice to us.
- 29:13Speaker 1: You know, I can't get my money back, but that's
- 29:17Speaker 1: neither here nor that. No, no, but that's just me.
- 29:20Speaker 1: That's business. You know, you gotta you go. You take
- 29:23Speaker 1: losses sometimes in business, but making money is not more
- 29:28Speaker 1: important to me than having a good time and making
- 29:30Speaker 1: sure the people I'm having a good time with a
- 29:32Speaker 1: safe So we have moved the location from the dr
- 29:36Speaker 1: We will not be anywhere in the Dominican Republic. Now
- 29:41Speaker 1: that's sad, because there's some great people over there, and
- 29:44Speaker 1: it's really some nice places over there. But you know,
- 29:47Speaker 1: in light of all that's happening, we we we cannot
- 29:50Speaker 1: take the chance. You all mean too much to us.
- 29:54Speaker 1: And you know, look y'all, y'all hours we look, we're
- 29:57Speaker 1: not gonna do nothing. I don't want nobody over there
- 30:00Speaker 1: not enjoying themselves. So we have a new location for
- 30:04Speaker 1: Sand and Soul. We have the exact same dates for
- 30:10Speaker 1: Sand and Soul. We are moving from Punakana in the
- 30:15Speaker 1: Dominican Republic to the beautiful beaches of Kneko, Mexican. Yes,
- 30:25Speaker 1: the beautiful beaches of Kneko, Mexico, at an all inclusive resort.
- 30:31Speaker 1: We still found the all inclusive We worked my team. Man,
- 30:37Speaker 1: they rolled up their sleeves and got busy. We had
- 30:40Speaker 1: to do a lot of extra stuff, make some concessions
- 30:43Speaker 1: to make it work. But thank God for the Moon
- 30:45Speaker 1: Palace down in Kneco, Mexico. We are offering the exact
- 30:51Speaker 1: same packages. We are offering the same fifteen events over
- 30:56Speaker 1: five days and four nights, and the resort is absolutely baller.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I have all the videos I've been on all the tours.
- 31:06Speaker 1: My team is down there walking me through everything so
- 31:09Speaker 1: I can sign off on it. They got Marjorie to
- 31:11Speaker 1: sign off on it. Listen, y'all know we're not gonna
- 31:14Speaker 1: go nowhere half baked. This place. You're going to love it. Also, now,
- 31:21Speaker 1: because it's Marjorie's birthday that week, I'm gonna do something
- 31:25Speaker 1: real special baller for her. And since y'all there, y'all
- 31:28Speaker 1: get to see it and do it and participate and
- 31:31Speaker 1: join in. So I cannot tell you right now, but
- 31:35Speaker 1: there will be a special artist add That's all I
- 31:39Speaker 1: got to say. Buckle up, hold on tight. We're gonna
- 31:44Speaker 1: bring that birthday in right. The Moon Palace has got
- 31:46Speaker 1: all inclusive food and drinks, just like before. We got
- 31:50Speaker 1: a jacuzzi tub in a private balcony with hammocks in
- 31:53Speaker 1: every room. I'll be back to tell you about all
- 31:56Speaker 1: of it. We got it like going on saying it's
- 31:59Speaker 1: so back, big shot sky, go ahead. They found another.
- 32:16Speaker 1: All right, Steve, we gotta cut to today's headline. Thank
- 32:19Speaker 1: you for that. Thank you, gentlemen. I got more when
- 32:22Speaker 1: we come back after the news. Miss Anne Tripp, thank
- 32:26Speaker 1: you very much. It sounds real good too, Steve. This
- 32:28Speaker 1: is Anne Trip with the news. Everybody. Well, last night
- 32:31Speaker 1: was round two. That's right. The Democratic presidential candidates debates
- 32:37Speaker 1: last night. It was the last ten, including four of
- 32:40Speaker 1: the top polling candidates, former Vice President Joe Biden, Vermont
- 32:44Speaker 1: Senator Bernie Sanders, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Peter Buddha Jakes,
- 32:47Speaker 1: and California Senator Kamala Harris, who hit hard at the
- 32:50Speaker 1: front run of mister Biden. I do not believe you
- 32:52Speaker 1: are a racist, and I agree with you when you
- 32:56Speaker 1: commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground. But
- 33:00Speaker 1: I also believe, and it was hurtful to hear you
- 33:04Speaker 1: talk about the reputations of two United States senators who
- 33:09Speaker 1: built their reputations and career on the segregation of race
- 33:14Speaker 1: in this country. You also worked with them to a
- 33:17Speaker 1: post busing miss character raged. In my position across the board,
- 33:21Speaker 1: I did not praise racists. That is not true. As
- 33:25Speaker 1: the Vice President United States, I work with a man who,
- 33:28Speaker 1: in fact, we worked very hard to see to what
- 33:31Speaker 1: we dealt with these issues in a major, major way
- 33:34Speaker 1: in terms of busing. Look everything I've done in my career,
- 33:38Speaker 1: I ran because of civil rights. I continue to think
- 33:40Speaker 1: we have to make fundamental changes. And he also said
- 33:44Speaker 1: that le need civil rights for the LBT, transgenders and
- 33:49Speaker 1: the gay community as well. The usoprene Court yesterday rule
- 33:52Speaker 1: at partisan jerrymandering. Although drawing of electoral district lines to
- 33:56Speaker 1: heavily favored specific political parties beyond their control, the high
- 33:59Speaker 1: courts and served judges said their redistricting claims present political
- 34:03Speaker 1: questions beyond the reach of the federal courts. That's what
- 34:05Speaker 1: they ruled. On another matter, the High Court decide to block,
- 34:08Speaker 1: at least for now, the Trump administration's request to add
- 34:11Speaker 1: a citizenship question to the twenty twenty census forms. Those
- 34:15Speaker 1: in favor of it say that it's a way of
- 34:16Speaker 1: supporting the voting Rights Act opponents those says designed to
- 34:20Speaker 1: scare minarities out of participating. President Trump tweets in response
- 34:23Speaker 1: that he's asked his legal team to see if there's
- 34:26Speaker 1: a way he can delay the census until the Supreme
- 34:28Speaker 1: Court has quote been given additional information for which it
- 34:32Speaker 1: can make a final decisive decision on the issue under
- 34:35Speaker 1: federal law, though the population count must begin on April first,
- 34:38Speaker 1: twenty twenty, so we see how that goes. In Paris,
- 34:41Speaker 1: the prosecutor has wrapped up his investigation into who and
- 34:44Speaker 1: what may have caused the blaze that Notre Dame. Its
- 34:47Speaker 1: verdict is that there's no evidence to suggest that the
- 34:50Speaker 1: blaze was set by anybody. It was an accident. Seems
- 34:52Speaker 1: like the roof of the Fame Cathedral, you know, collapse
- 34:55Speaker 1: along with his famous spire on April sixteenth, but most
- 34:59Speaker 1: of the structure survived. I've been intact, and they've been
- 35:01Speaker 1: trying to restore ever since. They're beginning a lot of money,
- 35:03Speaker 1: by the way, a lot of help from the community. Today,
- 35:05Speaker 1: By the way, is wild and crazy Friday. If you
- 35:10Speaker 1: want to be a wild saying, today is the day
- 35:11Speaker 1: to be that way. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:13Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening all right, Steve, So you were
- 35:19Speaker 1: telling us about the Sand and Soul. It's been moved
- 35:21Speaker 1: to Cancun, Mexico. Folks, we have moved Sand and Soul
- 35:25Speaker 1: from the dr We don't want anybody to not have
- 35:29Speaker 1: an enjoyable vacation. We've moved it to the beautiful beaches
- 35:33Speaker 1: of Cancun, Mexico. It will be at the Moon Palace,
- 35:37Speaker 1: all inclusive. We will have the Sand and Soul a
- 35:40Speaker 1: website up to update you on everything the beginning of
- 35:44Speaker 1: next week. But right now, we just want you to
- 35:47Speaker 1: know that it's going to be at the Moon Palace.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Is an all inclusive. It's in Cancun. It's my girl's
- 35:53Speaker 1: big birthday, so I decided to bring in an extra
- 35:57Speaker 1: special talent for that night. And it ain't just for her,
- 36:01Speaker 1: it's for all y'all. So I will keep you posted
- 36:06Speaker 1: the rector. My staff is down there testing all the food.
- 36:09Speaker 1: They've come back, they said, Steve, the food is even better.
- 36:12Speaker 1: There's a steakhouse, seafood house Italian, there's Abacci, there's Mexican
- 36:17Speaker 1: homemade ice cream pastries. They got eleven all inclusive bars.
- 36:21Speaker 1: You get to seven hundred and fifty dollars resort credit
- 36:23Speaker 1: to be used in the gift shop, and they have
- 36:26Speaker 1: a brand new, newly renovated, award winning spot. I've seen
- 36:30Speaker 1: it all, my god, ladies, you're gonna lose your mind.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Twenty four our room service, twenty four our bakery and
- 36:38Speaker 1: snack bar, free WiFi. All that signature golf course right there, bros,
- 36:43Speaker 1: signature golf course. We ain't got to drive, it's right down.
- 36:47Speaker 1: For those of you that have bought airline tickets, almost
- 36:50Speaker 1: all airlines have now waved fees. If you've bought tickets
- 36:55Speaker 1: from the DR and they've waved the fees to change
- 37:00Speaker 1: because they understand the concerns of a lot of American travelers.
- 37:03Speaker 1: So check your airlines. The majority of them have wave
- 37:09Speaker 1: fees from the DR. That was announcement on the news
- 37:11Speaker 1: the other day, so that's really cool. So for those
- 37:14Speaker 1: of you that have concerns, the flights to Kane Coon
- 37:18Speaker 1: have been coming in cheaper than to the DR. That
- 37:22Speaker 1: may help you. Also, now any changes that want to
- 37:26Speaker 1: be made has to be handled by a manager via email,
- 37:29Speaker 1: so we can make sure that it's you cannot make
- 37:32Speaker 1: changes by phone, you have to talk to a manager.
- 37:35Speaker 1: So just understand that aspect of so anybody that doesn't
- 37:38Speaker 1: want to change, that's up to you. We'd hope you'd
- 37:41Speaker 1: stay with us. It's gonna be baller. We're not gonna
- 37:43Speaker 1: take you to no mess. It's gonna be beautiful. This
- 37:47Speaker 1: is going to be a win win situation for everybody.
- 37:52Speaker 1: You know, We've just done everything in our power to
- 37:54Speaker 1: make it right. Man, If y'all come hang out with
- 37:56Speaker 1: us in Kane, Coon, we'll love it. You know. For
- 37:59Speaker 1: those of you that can't, oh, don't walk to understood,
- 38:02Speaker 1: no problem. We won't have a problem giving you yours back.
- 38:05Speaker 1: But I'm telling y'all don't miss you, all right, Steve,
- 38:10Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, thank you. Yeah. Life all right? Yeah.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Coming up next to thirty four after the hour, Junior
- 38:18Speaker 1: Americans blame social media for the civility problem. We'll talk
- 38:23Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 38:27Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. If you've been worried lately that it
- 38:31Speaker 1: seems like more and more Americans are being truly awful
- 38:34Speaker 1: to one another. Steve, you talk about this a lot, Well,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you're not alone. A new survey finds that ninety three
- 38:40Speaker 1: percent of Americans believe we have a civility problem in
- 38:44Speaker 1: society and classifying it as a major problem. So what's
- 38:48Speaker 1: causing all this incivility? Well, it seems a lot of
- 38:52Speaker 1: Americans blame social media. In fact, sixty three percent of
- 38:56Speaker 1: Americans say social media is a major contributor to incivility
- 39:01Speaker 1: in America, with most saying social media's impact is more
- 39:05Speaker 1: negative than positive. So here's a question. Do you think
- 39:09Speaker 1: social media is to blame for the incivility in this country? Why?
- 39:13Speaker 1: And part two? Uh, you know we can answer this.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Have you been the target of negative social media comments?
- 39:20Speaker 1: Steve straight to you just want to get you take
- 39:27Speaker 1: your show. I'm the whole reason we got the article. Yeah,
- 39:33Speaker 1: you're the survey says, I mean, you know what, what what?
- 39:38Speaker 1: What has happened though? And it's just my honest assessment
- 39:41Speaker 1: of it. You have the right to feel how you
- 39:44Speaker 1: want to. Social media could really be a good thing.
- 39:49Speaker 1: But what has happened is it has given a platform
- 39:54Speaker 1: to so many small minded people. In order to appear big,
- 40:00Speaker 1: these very small people, they have to make the loudest
- 40:06Speaker 1: obnoxious comments that they can. It's the only way they
- 40:11Speaker 1: can stand out because they're nothing. Yeah, they're nobody's in
- 40:16Speaker 1: their life, in their world, they are nobody's. So they
- 40:20Speaker 1: create these incredible personas in their own head online and
- 40:25Speaker 1: they come in they attack like they like they are
- 40:28Speaker 1: an authoritative figure about you and your life all of
- 40:32Speaker 1: a sudden, and it's it's just misguided energy, man. Yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 1: And I think that's a big part of it. And
- 40:41Speaker 1: hate is so much louder than love, but love is stronger,
- 40:46Speaker 1: and that's that's the sadness of it. What do you
- 40:49Speaker 1: guys think think? I agree? Yeah, yeah, I mean the
- 40:56Speaker 1: problem they have is because when they're watching that video,
- 40:58Speaker 1: they're not in the room. What video on social media?
- 41:03Speaker 1: Where you watching us on social media? You're not in
- 41:06Speaker 1: the room. Do you think Junior is jealousy hate an
- 41:11Speaker 1: abused platform? Yeah, you're sitting in your car, Roll run
- 41:16Speaker 1: that they're not in the car. So he come. What
- 41:23Speaker 1: about the comments when folks are doing good stuff like
- 41:27Speaker 1: Stephen the Mentoring Camp giving back, all of us on
- 41:31Speaker 1: this show give back. All of us have our platforms
- 41:34Speaker 1: and you know the work that we do, they don't
- 41:37Speaker 1: magnify that. N see exactly. It's like the news, the
- 41:46Speaker 1: more sensationalized. That's the better. They will put a spotlight
- 41:52Speaker 1: on somebody who's robbed the bank and it's getting chased
- 41:55Speaker 1: down the highway. They're putting helicopter over top of them.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Because that's what followed it. Watch idiot asked person for
- 42:02Speaker 1: an hour and a half driving off the freeway, running
- 42:04Speaker 1: through backyards and stuff. You know, you save ten people's lives. Yeah. Thanks.
- 42:12Speaker 1: If it bleeds, it leads, that's that's what they say. No,
- 42:19Speaker 1: that's really yeah, if it bleeds, it's lead. It's the
- 42:22Speaker 1: first story they're gonna do. If it's negative, they're gonna
- 42:25Speaker 1: do it. Well, that's why sixty three percent of Americans
- 42:28Speaker 1: say social media, uh, their impact is more negative than positive.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I mean it's sad to say, no, man,
- 42:37Speaker 1: it's sad news and and and like Jay say, if
- 42:41Speaker 1: it bleeds, it leads. So what drives social media sites
- 42:44Speaker 1: or these blogs is negativity because now you got people commenting,
- 42:49Speaker 1: and they make money on clicks, and they don't do
- 42:53Speaker 1: anything to get to click truth or not. They just
- 42:56Speaker 1: want to click because they're trying to make money. It's sad, man,
- 42:59Speaker 1: it really really as it really is. Yep, pray f
- 43:05Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, all right, listen we can keep this conversation
- 43:09Speaker 1: going on social media, of course. Cut to Steve Harvey FM.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Now up next, it is a nephew in the building

- 43:22Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour.

- 43:35Speaker 1: nephew's here. Yeah, nephew's here with today's prank phone call.
- 43:38Speaker 1: What you got nat, fight night? Say fight night, fight night.

- 44:06Speaker 1: your street? Right? Oh? Yeah, you had no Kenny? Yeah, yeah,
- 44:09Speaker 1: Kenny gave me your number. Man, I wanted to reach out.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I'm inviting a lot of people in the neighborhood, man,
- 44:14Speaker 1: to you know, Mayweather fight. So I'm inviting a lot
- 44:16Speaker 1: of people over to the fight party over here in
- 44:18Speaker 1: my house. Oh yeah, yeah, I was gonna wanting on
- 44:21Speaker 1: fight too. They don't sound like a bad idea, man, Okay, okay,
- 44:24Speaker 1: well listen, man, come on through. Everybody's gonna be getting
- 44:27Speaker 1: here like around seven seven thirty. And uh, man, we
- 44:30Speaker 1: got food. We got Luka margueritea machine. My boy here
- 44:34Speaker 1: gonna be on the grill with the burgers and the
- 44:36Speaker 1: hot dogs. Man. And one of my other partner's gonna
- 44:38Speaker 1: be smoking some wings man, so we could. Man. So
- 44:41Speaker 1: I'm just inviting a bunch of people in the neighborhood

- 44:45Speaker 1: manh one anything what uh look here? Now that you
- 44:49Speaker 1: uh now that you mentioned it, man, we were missing
- 44:51Speaker 1: a little something. Uh hey, let me let me ask
- 44:54Speaker 1: you this here, Troy. You um you got cable at
- 44:57Speaker 1: your house? Yeah yeah, I got kabo. Okay, listen, what

- 45:06Speaker 1: cable card. And what I want to do is come
- 45:09Speaker 1: over there and hook up this cable card to your

- 45:29Speaker 1: we got the food, the look of all of that. Man,
- 45:32Speaker 1: you know a lot of people coming over. But see
- 45:34Speaker 1: the problem is, I ain't got cable here at the
- 45:36Speaker 1: house behind is you gonna have a fight part and
- 45:39Speaker 1: you ain't got no cable. And that's what I'm saying.
- 45:41Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. You asked me what could you
- 45:43Speaker 1: help out wit? So that's what I'm asking you. I
- 45:46Speaker 1: used to wait for the cable coming. I know how
- 45:47Speaker 1: to hook it up at your house. I know how
- 45:49Speaker 1: to buypass pay per view. We're gonna run it two
- 45:52Speaker 1: streets so I got a real durable cable card. I

- 46:25Speaker 1: We ain't like we're gonna do it for a couple
- 46:27Speaker 1: of days or not. I don't know how you can
- 46:30Speaker 1: leaven to call it. Call up a cat man and

- 47:39Speaker 1: the run up to have no folks out for the
- 47:40Speaker 1: cable running from my house. I can't see that one.

- 48:18Speaker 1: I got it right. Hey man, I can't disappoint these people.
- 48:21Speaker 1: And I'm just trying to get you to show some
- 48:23Speaker 1: law for four just apart. You donna have a show
- 48:25Speaker 1: for them. If you come on my house, you're bringing

- 48:31Speaker 1: are you saying? What you're trying to tell me? You
- 48:33Speaker 1: ain't gonna let me hook the cable up. When I
- 48:34Speaker 1: get over that, I'm standing up on it. I'll be
- 48:37Speaker 1: waiting out there with no shirt to shot, and you're
- 48:39Speaker 1: gonna fit team around with me. Hey, man, I'm nothing

- 48:53Speaker 1: But hey, I'm not going for that. I'm not going
- 48:54Speaker 1: for that. Rout the side. Brother, I'm not having all
- 48:56Speaker 1: that activity going on in my house. I'm coming over
- 48:58Speaker 1: that and I'm looking up this cable. When you come
- 49:01Speaker 1: over here, you're your bad. I got something for you.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Testing you come over, I'm gonna sending in front of

- 49:18Speaker 1: Lining up, I'm my wife's taking my hands up right now,
- 49:21Speaker 1: so I'm beings like. I got one more thing I
- 49:23Speaker 1: need to say to you, though, is you're listening. I
- 49:25Speaker 1: don't care what you say. You come in front of
- 49:26Speaker 1: my eyes. You better race help what you because you're
- 49:28Speaker 1: gonna leave here. You come front of my house a
- 49:30Speaker 1: cable car. I don't know who you is. And I'm
- 49:32Speaker 1: gonna whop Kenned when they might see him. I'm whooping
- 49:35Speaker 1: him on side. I don't get him my chairing in
- 49:37Speaker 1: the car. It is hiring to come and I'm gonna
- 49:40Speaker 1: whop you if you come und him. Then lost this
- 49:42Speaker 1: time about your who's from cable to mine? I'm put
- 49:44Speaker 1: some on you right here? Him come in my mind
- 49:46Speaker 1: right now. Then, I said, I got one more thing
- 49:48Speaker 1: to say to you. What you're going to say as
- 49:51Speaker 1: you listen to me, I'm listening. This is Nephew bow
- 49:55Speaker 1: Me from the Steve Harbit Morning Show. You just got
- 49:57Speaker 1: pranked by your boy who say this is Nephew tim
- 50:06Speaker 1: Me from the Steve Horby More on the show. And
- 50:08Speaker 1: I know you ain't called my phone. Man. My blood
- 50:12Speaker 1: pressure high there. You got me ready to squab. I
- 50:14Speaker 1: mean I got cliss from and clism thing. Man. You
- 50:18Speaker 1: got me read the book somebody out there all right, man,
- 50:22Speaker 1: I gotta ask you this right here. Choice. What is
- 50:24Speaker 1: what is the baddest I'm talking about the badest radio
- 50:27Speaker 1: show in the land, Man Steve Harby Morning show Man.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Y'all you know you know everybody can't afford to fight,
- 50:37Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, So and if you're selfish
- 50:41Speaker 1: people like that, that won't help out. Just self kidding
- 50:47Speaker 1: me right now? Are you kidding me right now? If hey,
- 50:50Speaker 1: I want to throw apart it but I can't afford
- 50:52Speaker 1: all that, just run the damn cable from your house
- 50:55Speaker 1: close to your house is bothering you and you don't
- 50:58Speaker 1: have the party, then you don't have a party. I'm
- 51:01Speaker 1: down the street. I'm not disturbing you. It ain't but
- 51:05Speaker 1: two blocks. We don't need that much cape. I bought
- 51:10Speaker 1: the cable. I bought the cable. Hello, oh the actual cable.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Oh but you just haven't paid your bill? What what
- 51:18Speaker 1: I'll talk about the cable run into the house. Well,
- 51:23Speaker 1: when are y'all going to start saying when will it
- 51:27Speaker 1: go out the winter? That I'm not stupid, but I'm brilliant.
- 51:29Speaker 1: When when we're that ben't saying it for years, for years,
- 51:33Speaker 1: I haven't saying it for years. You're thinking our lifetime.
- 51:36Speaker 1: You know you need a date. He was Steves mighty
- 51:39Speaker 1: quiet line for you to do him say at any
- 51:45Speaker 1: point in time that this food is brilliant. It's it's
- 51:48Speaker 1: something wrong. I'm not participating in that. I'm not playing
- 51:51Speaker 1: along with It's nothing brilliant about man, it's a genius act.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Like you ain't ever stoll cable for him? Oh yeah,
- 52:03Speaker 1: but not from two blocks away. It is something different.
- 52:07Speaker 1: So that's the point. The brilliant. You don't see the
- 52:14Speaker 1: brilliancy man. You know how many times that cable get
- 52:16Speaker 1: snatched out that dough body calls going back, You're going
- 52:21Speaker 1: buy seventy yards seventy feet of cable? What are you
- 52:24Speaker 1: buying it for? That? Ain't your business? Just rolling up

- 52:56Speaker 1: your letter live on the air, just like We're gonna
- 52:57Speaker 1: read this one today, right here, right now, let's go. Nephew,
- 53:02Speaker 1: buggle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 53:04Speaker 1: you here. It is a strawberry letter, all right. Subject
- 53:07Speaker 1: My lover calls me Mom. Good morning. Stephen Shirley. I
- 53:11Speaker 1: am a fifty year old divorced lady with a twenty
- 53:15Speaker 1: eight year old lover. We've been together for two years,
- 53:19Speaker 1: but I met him when he was in college with
- 53:21Speaker 1: my son. He came home a few weekends with my
- 53:24Speaker 1: son and he started calling me mom back then. After college,
- 53:28Speaker 1: he continued to hang out at the house with my son,
- 53:31Speaker 1: so I got used to him being around. While on
- 53:33Speaker 1: Easter Sunday twenty seventeen, things changed in an instant when
- 53:38Speaker 1: he rubbed up against me in the kitchen and I
- 53:41Speaker 1: felt some kind of way. This young man is six two,
- 53:44Speaker 1: dark and handsome. He works out daily and what gave
- 53:51Speaker 1: it away, Steve all three. He works out daily, so
- 53:59Speaker 1: his chest is all ripped up. I must add that
- 54:05Speaker 1: I'm still a sexy mom and a head turner at
- 54:09Speaker 1: fifty years young. He told me that he wanted to
- 54:12Speaker 1: see me alone one day to talk. I told him
- 54:15Speaker 1: to come by my house and he did. He walked
- 54:17Speaker 1: in and we kissed and it was straight fireworks from
- 54:20Speaker 1: then on. We did multiple passionate acts that afternoon, and
- 54:25Speaker 1: he was considerate and asked for permission each time he
- 54:28Speaker 1: tried a new position. Of course, it's been our secret
- 54:31Speaker 1: the entire time, and we hook up whenever he has time.
- 54:35Speaker 1: It's just that simple. I assume that he dates multiple women,
- 54:40Speaker 1: or maybe he just has a girlfriend. I'm not concerned
- 54:43Speaker 1: about that. What does concern me is that he still
- 54:45Speaker 1: calls me mama or mom when he comes over. I
- 54:49Speaker 1: don't know if if it's the same as when married
- 54:53Speaker 1: men call their wives mama, or when women call their
- 54:55Speaker 1: husband's daddy. I know you're going to say that I
- 54:59Speaker 1: need to f on someone else to have sex with,
- 55:01Speaker 1: but what we have is fun and it's keeping me
- 55:05Speaker 1: satisfied for now. So do I ask him politely to
- 55:08Speaker 1: stop calling me mom? Or Am I reading too much
- 55:10Speaker 1: into it? She took the time to write this, Yeah
- 55:13Speaker 1: she did, she did, Steve, And my answer is, what
- 55:18Speaker 1: does it matter what he calls you? I mean, as
- 55:20Speaker 1: long as he's respectful with it. I mean, what do
- 55:23Speaker 1: you want him to call you? You're saying this is
- 55:25Speaker 1: just for fun right now, And I mean, he's keeping
- 55:29Speaker 1: you satisfied right now. So what are you nitpicking for?
- 55:34Speaker 1: I don't get it. You guys have been together for
- 55:36Speaker 1: two years and he's been calling you. You're doing it
- 55:39Speaker 1: in secret, so clearly he doesn't want your son, his bestie,
- 55:43Speaker 1: to find out that you know he's doing his mom.
- 55:47Speaker 1: You're concerned about a name and the fact that you're
- 55:51Speaker 1: and not the fact that you're sleeping with your son's
- 55:53Speaker 1: friend who is really young, he's young enough to be
- 55:56Speaker 1: your son, who may or may not have a girlfriend
- 55:59Speaker 1: or a multiple your old friends, and who hooks up
- 56:02Speaker 1: with you whenever he has time. Those are the things
- 56:05Speaker 1: you're concerned about. To me, you should be concerned about
- 56:09Speaker 1: a lot more than that. I mean, you know, than
- 56:12Speaker 1: him calling your mom or mom he just is trying
- 56:15Speaker 1: to be respectful. I guess when you guys are in
- 56:17Speaker 1: the bedroom, I don't know. Then again, you say, it's
- 56:20Speaker 1: just your to satisfy you for right now. So if
- 56:24Speaker 1: this is what's making you happy, what's floating your boat
- 56:27Speaker 1: right now? Then you know? I mean him calling your mom.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I don't see why that's a big deal, Steve, Uh,
- 56:33Speaker 1: Can I be honest? Sure? I'm confused. Okay, I have
- 56:36Speaker 1: no idea what this letter is for. Right you're fifty
- 56:40Speaker 1: to do twenty eight. Y'all been together for two years.
- 56:44Speaker 1: It's ain't no accident. He used to come home with
- 56:46Speaker 1: your son. He's calling your mom after y'all graduating. Y'all
- 56:50Speaker 1: was in the kitchen one time he rubbed up gets you.
- 56:52Speaker 1: That was on purpose, you felt some kind of way.
- 56:55Speaker 1: On purpose, y'are already talking about hot, tall dog and
- 56:59Speaker 1: handsome here. He asked you could he come back and
- 57:03Speaker 1: see you alone and talk. I told him come by
- 57:06Speaker 1: my house. He walked in and y'all kissed, and it
- 57:08Speaker 1: was straight fire works right there. Then you talked about
- 57:12Speaker 1: all these multiple passion that acts that afternoon. If he
- 57:15Speaker 1: asked your permission each time he tried a new position,
- 57:18Speaker 1: I do that too. I still ask very nice. I
- 57:27Speaker 1: don't know what you know? What is this letter? Folk?
- 57:32Speaker 1: The boys polite? He asking you for new positions every time.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Miss Gilmos, mind, do you mind it if you put
- 57:46Speaker 1: the bottom of your foot up on that night stand? Please? Man?
- 57:51Speaker 1: Oh cool, that's nice right there, Miss Gilmo. Miss Gilmo,
- 57:56Speaker 1: would you mind taking your left hand and grabbing the
- 57:58Speaker 1: corner that mattress on the up left side of the
- 58:00Speaker 1: head bullet that thank you, miss kill All, thank you
- 58:05Speaker 1: miss gill more. Miss Now I'm asking no, we don't
- 58:13Speaker 1: do liniment. I don't like the smell. I won't do it.
- 58:18Speaker 1: So this is what he's doing too. So I don't
- 58:21Speaker 1: see why why you wrote the letter. You know now
- 58:25Speaker 1: she doesn't like for him to call her mom or mom. Okay,
- 58:28Speaker 1: we'll quit seeing him there. You know that's how all
- 58:31Speaker 1: listening to it is. Why are we taking up our
- 58:34Speaker 1: special time because you're worried about him calling you mama?
- 58:38Speaker 1: Or when men call it wives wives wives, what we
- 58:43Speaker 1: call our wives. Ain't your damn business. You ain't a wife?
- 58:47Speaker 1: Oh you the mama? That's what he calls her mom.
- 58:52Speaker 1: He know it. That could be a turn on from him.
- 58:57Speaker 1: You know some people's girls call him hey dad. Okay,
- 59:00Speaker 1: that's a turn on. His turn on is hey mama.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I don't know why you want that. I'm not with
- 59:07Speaker 1: nobody in finn to call her mama. That ain't gonna happen. Now,
- 59:13Speaker 1: you said, I know you're gonna say you need to
- 59:15Speaker 1: find somebody else have sex with. I'm not gonna say that.
- 59:19Speaker 1: But what we have is fun? Okay, go hey, yeah,
- 59:22Speaker 1: all right, keeping your set. What hang on, Steve? Hang
- 59:25Speaker 1: on Part two of your responses coming up at twenty
- 59:28Speaker 1: three after the hour, subject my lover calls me Mom.
- 59:32Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 59:37Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Let's recap today Strawberry letters, subject my
- 59:40Speaker 1: lover calls me mom. First of all, this is the
- 59:45Speaker 1: most ridiculous atta we've had the while. The woman sleeping
- 59:51Speaker 1: with her son's friend from college head and graduated, rubbed
- 59:54Speaker 1: up against in the kitchen Monday. Now over the house screwing. Yeah,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: that's what a very sexual act. Foot is that? That's
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: what they're doing. He said he wanted to see me
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: alone one day and talk. I told him, come on,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: boy the house he did. He walked in, We started kissing,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and multiple passion and acts that afternoon, separate occasions. You know,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: he's very considerate, ask for permission each time he tries
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: a new position. Of course, our secret the entire time
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: we hook up. Whenever he got time. It's just that simple.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Now she assuming that he got other women, maybe a girlfriend,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: but I ain't concerned about that. What does concern me? Now?
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: If all the stuff that concerns you. He still calls
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: me momm when he comes over. That's be cause he
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: what you wanted to call you, blender Blenda Gilmore. Why
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: is she gonna call you Belinda and then mess around
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: and say Belinda in front of your son exactly? So
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: when when you start calling my MoMA Belinda, well, I
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: think it's something we need to talk abound, because that
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: ain't just your mama. That album mama. A matter of fact,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I call her mama. She called me daddy in a
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: matter of fact. Demetrius listened to me. I don't know
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: how to tell you this. I don't find to be
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: your new daddy. What yeoh, Demetrius, I'm finn to be
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: your new daddy at the same age they went to
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: college together. Yeah, but I'm when I marry your mama,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna be your daddy. Yeah, and I want you
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: to respect that and call me daddy. See this is
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: an ass whipping all into make it right here now.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I know what you're going to say, I need to
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: find someone else to have sex with. No, that's not
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: what we're gonna say. But what we have is fun
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and it's keeping me satisfied. Okay, this is what you're doing.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: We can say something about it. So do I ask
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: him politely to stop calling me mom? Or am I
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: reading too much into it? You know what, we really
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: don't give a damn what you can we share that
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: with you? Can? I tell you that the people listening
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: to this letter at work right now it's looking upside
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: day radio going what Yeah, that's what you're concerned about.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: It's people trying to snatch earphones out there here right
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: now now, Mike caning about you. You're dating your son's friend. Yeah,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: the first Yeah, he got on the check. Yeah, you
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: ain't it. And in the future with you, you just
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: his thing and he sees you whenever he has time. Right,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: and if you think he your thing, didn't your thing? Do?
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Y'all just gotta thing for each other, doing multiple passion
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: and act. But I love the part where he is
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: so considerate and asked me for permission, Like what again, Steve,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: you did it earlier? Miss Jackson? Would you mind still more? Well?
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Change the name and sometimes like Mama Jackson, Mama guil More,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Mama Patterson, it's mama somebody. Yeah, it's gonna be Mama Peter.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: So um Mama's gonna be mama something old church name. Yea, yeah, y'all.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Oh miss uh, miss no, no, I'm gonna do to
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Miss Jordine. Hold on one second, on, hold on, hold.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: You might be tired right now? Would you would you
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: mind taking the left half of your age right on
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the edge of that lamp ship just right that right
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: to right right there there? You? Okay? Now, all right now,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: you're welcome. Listen. Well, can I ask you something else? Sure? Oh?
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Would you take your left hand and hold your right
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: foot up and then put your fuehead on the mattress?
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Would you mind that? Miss Jackson? Bobby, thank you for
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: asking me so nicely. You're such a polite young man.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Do you learn that in college? With no mom? Can
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I ask you asking another question? What? Bobby? Could you
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: stop talking? Yeah? You're talking too much. I'm asking no,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: but you you just I don't want you talking back.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I just need you to do it, okay, Miss Taylor,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Miss Taylor, Miss Taylor me? Oh, yes, Bobby. Can you
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: get on your knees and crawl over there to the
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: couch so I can watch you involved like a dog
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: on your way over there? Yes, I can do that.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Go ahead, miss, what Bobby, what can you bring my house?
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: You over here, girl? Girl? You something man did as
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: long as he does it nicely, she said, polightly. I
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: mean you're so polite. Oh man. All right, listen, don't
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: write us lord, make sure you check out please The
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast on demand now coming up at forty
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: six after the hour of marriage advice from the one
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey coming up right after this you're
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: listening show? All right, Steve, this tuesday, you and your
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: beautiful wife Marjorie celebrated this past tuesday. Your wedding anniversary
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: was thirteen, right, actually twitt oh twelve? Okay, ah, you
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: added a year. Okay, all right, So obviously I'm so
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: damn happy. I won't vote. See yeah, she must be listening,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: so obviously we can say. It's fair that you guys
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: know what you're doing. So Steve, so give some marriage
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: advice for married couples or couples you have to ask
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: a question? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yours is on shaky ground
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: at best. Will I'd love to hear some of your responses, though. Okay,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: what is it? What does it take to stay in
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: a marriage and be happy for twelve years Steve, Well,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: you gotta be willing. I know the corny answers communication,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: but you got to be able to compromise. Compromise is
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: really smart. Man. You've got to find a way to get,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: but to get at the same time. And you and
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: if you can be the person to generate the guilf
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: the getting becomes a lot easier. Okay, all right, go
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: ahead and ask me what you want to ask. Yeah,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: I'm asking you the same question. What do you think
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: it takes to have a thriving, long, happy marriage. It
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: takes a lot of bedrooms in the house. Because see,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: once y'all get on each other there, you need to
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: be here to go somewhere else and get away from
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: that person. Do you know what I'm saying. If you
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: want to continue, for your marriage to continue, now, you
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: got to stay in that room. It's gonna get it's
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: gonna get, it's gonna get rough up in there. You
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. So you want to be a
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: goal somewhere. You want in the same house, gold somewhere,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: get away from her. What if you look at the
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: studio apartment, Yeah, your marriage is over. You got to
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: have get your two three bedrooms, be able to go somewhere.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: If you live in the studio. All you can do
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: it turn around. You look at the off Okay, well,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: don't look at the same wall I'm looking at. Well,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: see back to you. Um stupid okay, so um, I've
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: heard that successful marriages are when, like the husband puts
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: the wife first. For starters, you can't outgive a woman.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: I don't care what man you are, you cannot outgive
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: a woman if she loves you, if you do everything
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: in your power for her, what she gonna give you
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: back in return? You can't even begin to touch. That's
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: a great answer. Man, ain't start again, Man back, yeah again,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you ask me a damn thing I want to ask you. Well,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: we can continue this at the at the top of
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: the hour. Marriage questions for Steve than Tommy than Jay.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Uh So we can do that as a decline in these.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: We can do that at the top of the hour.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: More marriage question since coming up right after this. You're listening,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: all right, So before we went to break, Steve, I
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: asked you, is it a true statement that you can
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: have a happier marriage if the man puts the wife
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: first or the woman first? In a relationship. And you
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: said that's absolutely true, and I mean, it's just the
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: here's the best quote I've ever heard about a woman. Uh.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: He said women should stop pretending to be equal to men,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: because you're not. You're greater. And so he said. The
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: reason being is because whatever you give a woman, she
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: multiplies it. Whatever you give to a woman, she makes
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: it greater. If you give her groceries, she gives you
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: back a meal. If you give her a smile, she
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: gives you her heart. If you buy her a house,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: she gives you a home. If you give her a spurn,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: she'll give you back a baby. Everything you give a
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: woman she multiplies and makes it greater. So get ready, cat,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: So if you give you a woman some crap, you
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: can expect a ton of in return. Where do you
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: get this from? Right? Right? Best quote? Who said that?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: All right? So tell me I want to ask you
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: the same question, um that I asked Steve about in
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: a marriage. One of the one of the ways you
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: can make it successful is to put the woman first,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: put her needs before your needs. But I have taken
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Kim all of her need, so I don't I don't
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: get it he's talking about give uh, house, he'll make
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: it a home, and she ain't even there. Had the
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: damn time when I gave her the house, I gave up.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Ben ain't rolling that then, car. Yeah, I ain't got
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: to do nothing with that. And the spur I gave
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: it that was by accident. What the hell they went
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: wrong with this? Him? Man? All right, okay, thank you Jay.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: The same question. The question is I gave but not
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: feeling the judge said you're gonna give this, you gonna
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: give that. I didn't have nothing to say about it.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Next thing, I know, I'm half of what all I
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: started within my life. So I gave, but I didn't
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: give freely, and I didn't get nothing back. So I
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: don't really understand what stevens saying. But if you give out,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: I gave several houses, several everybody end up with a
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: damn house. Everybody got a house. You get a house,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: and you get a house, and when you get a house,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: you get a car, you get a car. It's fun
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: divorcing you, Jay, Yeah, I don't. I just see what
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: he I see the happiness in him, but I just
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: want him to see the biddiness in me. All right, Steve,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: here's another question. How do you in a marriage and
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: in a relationship, how do you resolve arguments without you know,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: killing each other and being mad for you know, how
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: do you just resolve? You know? The best you know
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: the best thing that we've discovered. What's that? It's when
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Marjorie and at a point where we're just not seeing
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: each other side, we go away from a minute and
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: then we come back and we go, Okay, what did
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I say and what did you hear? And what did
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: you say? And what did I hear? So what we
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: do is we do a thing where we said, Okay, Steve,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: this is what I said. Now tell me what you
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: heard in that? And I tell her she said, that's
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: not what I'm meant. I said, Okay, I said this
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: right here. What did you hear? She said, you said this?
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: I said, see, that's not what I said. I said this,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: but it sound to me like see. And it always
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: comes down to what you heard versus what I said,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: or what you said versus what I heard. And we
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: resolve ninety nine percent of our arguments that way because
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: it's usually misunderstanding because we're both you know, intelligent thinking people.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: M And that's where we found Okay, all right, Well, um,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Jay and Tommy, I know you have a response to this,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: so so we're coming back nothing. We'll continue our marriage
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: our marriage discussion with the fellas at twenty minutes after
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to all right, we're having
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: a marriage discussion with the married men on the show.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: We're having one married this question. Yeah, yeah, you celebrated
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: your anniversary. We are are and this third when you've
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: been here from Anton while you talking, he has the
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: most experience of anyone on the show, Steve, most experience
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: in the less time, the most experience. Here's the question
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: on the table. This is for you Tommy, and then
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: you Jay. How do you resolve arguments when you're married
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: in a relationship, You argue it out. You have to
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: let the argument. We argue until our throats go out
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: and voice. Then we get some paper and write out
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: some more cust out of paper. But we're gonna get
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: this argument over with. See. The thing is that you're
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: not supposed to go to bed. You got to get
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: this off your damn and we gets it out there.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: I'm telling my throats out, no more paper to write home.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: I'm most sleeping here. You're sleeping now, damnage. You better
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: hope I don't find no more paper. Okay, come on, Jay,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: the first one to go to effort is the winner.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Last that show advice, Hey, what happened? That's how you
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: resolve arguments? Jay, two adults. I know he's gonna go
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: that fast. I'm gonna get that fat. All right, listen,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Show coming up at thirty three after the hour. Right
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: All right. So last night in Miami was part two
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: of ten Democratic presidential hopefuls who shared a stage to
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: try and convince America why they are the best choice
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: to challenge President Trump in the twenty twenty election. They
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: talked about middle class taxes, climate change, defeating Trump. Take
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: a listen when Kamala Harris challenged Joe Biden on his
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: past opposition on busing, checked this out. It was hurtful
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: to hear you talk about the reputations of two United
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: States senators who built their reputations and career on the
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: segregation of race in this country. And it was not
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: only that, but you also worked with them to a
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: post busing and you know there was a little girl
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: in California who was part of the second class to
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: integrate her public schools, and she was bused to school
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: every day. And that little girl was me miss characterised
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: in my position across the board. I did not praise racist.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: That is not true Number one. Number two. If we
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: want to have this campaign litigated on whose supports civil
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: rights and whether I did or not, I'm happy to
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: do that. I was a public defender. I didn't become
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: a prosecutor. I came out. I left a good law
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: firm and become a public defender. Number two, as the
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: US has excused me. As the Vice President United States,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I work with a man who, in fact, we worked
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: very hard to see to what we dealt with these
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: issues in a major, major way. Also, take a listen
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: when Kamala shut it down with everyone talking at the
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: same time. Check this out. We will let you we
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: all let you all speaker. Hey, guys, you know what.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: America does not want to witness a food fight. They
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: want to know how we're gonna put food on their table.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: So the best ed libs are written down and waiting
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to put that one up. You knew what was gonna
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: happen to boom Wow. Yeah, I mean was trying together
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: so much for us, trying to do that. Well, maybe
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: he could be VP again it maybe he could be
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: her VP. Temmy and Bernie. Bernie had some moments too.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: So obviously, like you said last night, Steve, it was
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: gonna be there the night before last, it was gonna
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: be about these three, you know, Harrys, Sanders and Biden.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Understand everybody's trying to get the nod right, Yeah, they're
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: all running for the presidency, not for the vice president.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: But we also have got to understand something very critical
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: here as a party, this circular flying squad, that this
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: is dangerous. Imagine a circular firing squad. We're in a circle, Pardner,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: everybody gonna get hid. All right? Coming up next our
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: last break of the day of the week, actually, and
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: coming up at forty nine after the hour. Right after
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, here we are last
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: break of the day and of the week. Actually, this
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: is Friday. It's been a good day and we're looking
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: forward to a good week, weekend and all of that.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: All right, Steve, you want to send everyone home to
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: the weekend with some closing. Here we go. You know,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: I was reading in my morning meditation this thing that
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: this girl that works with me on Family Future really
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: nice lady. She's Christian, she praise for everybody, gives a scripture.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: She gave me this daily devotional book to read. I've
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: been reading it every morning. Man, It's really been a
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: great help to me. I think I've shared this with
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: you all several times. One of the things I was
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: reading about was about learning how to master time and
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: not allowing time to master you. Now, I got a
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: little stuck on this from right here because I was saying, Okay,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: how do you master time and not let time master you?
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: In this daily devotional it was reminding us that God
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: created us a certain way. And I'm going to get
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: to that in a second, because in the Lord's Prayer
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: is a clue as to how we should approach each day.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: In the Lord's Prayer, about three or four lines down,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: it says, give us this day our daily bread. That's
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: a very important line. And I've taken the time to
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: really study the Lord's Prayer. I've taken the time to
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: really understand twenty third Psalms, Isaiah fifty four seventeen, Isaiah
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: forty three, one and two. I've really been a Becca
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: two and to really been focused on her, really understanding
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: as I meditate every morning, and one of the things
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: that it teaches us is give us this day our
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: daily bread. Well, that's an important line, because what you're
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: asking for every day is for God to order your
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: steps just for that day. That's not to say that
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: you don't have plans for the future, because you do.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: But you can't do anything about the future. You can't
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: control it at all or the circumstances that's gonna be
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: set you the next day. You can't do anything about
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: what has already happened. You know, it's the past. In
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: so many words, it's water over the dam. So you
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: can't do anything about the past. You cannot prevent anything
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: in the future coming your way. You know, you can
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: make a lot mention plans and stuff, but tomorrow could
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: bring some surprises. So the one thing that you were
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: created to do was master your day. God created us
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: where we deal in twenty four hour segments. Now, don't
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: get me wrong, I'm not saying that you're not supposed
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to plan, have aspirations, goals, dreams, and have you know,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: targets for everything. Inchbody into anything. And since I got that,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: what I am saying to you is you function best
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: in the now, because then now is the one thing
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: that you have a say so in. And if you
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: can learn to ask God to give us this day
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: our daily bread. Just like the birds. Birds don't have
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: silos and barns and storage houses. Birds don't store food.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Birds wake up every day. They sing His praises in
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: the morning, and then they get about today. And don't
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: God take care of it? Well, He's made that promise
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: to you. You hear old people singing a song. His
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: eyes on the sparrow, I know he watches me. I
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: didn't get that when I was growing up. I heard it,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I sang it when they in church. But I'm really
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: starting to really understand that they give us this day
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: our daily bread. That's an important thing. And when it
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: comes to tomorrow, to worry about tomorrow is wasted energy
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: because there's nothing you can do about tomorrow until tomorrow
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: gets here. Now you can dry start dressing it there.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: But to worry about something is wasted energy. Because I've
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: been learning that worry cannot produce one extra hour of
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: life for you by worrying. You cannot extend your life
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: one single hour due to worry. So if you can't
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: even by worrying, do that thing that's really important, what
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: you're worried about the rest of it for, why would
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: you be worried about anything else? And that's what I've
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: been learning when it says to learn how to master time,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: so time doesn't master you. If you lose focus of
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: today right now, your presence, your relationship with God right now,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: and you got it all tied up in your future
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: with that wasted energy, you gotta miss some steps today.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: We were created as twenty four hour creatures. We're in
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: our absolute best when we are living in the moment.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Call now, the moment, your whole focus is on your future.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: You're gonna make missteps today the moment. Your whole thought
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: process is about what happened to you in the past
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: and how you can't get over it. That will cause
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: you to make missteps today. And then as you make
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: these missteps today, you keep blaming it on your pass
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: and God don't love me, and God don't hear my cry. Now, Partner,
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: you keep holding on to something in your pass, or
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: you keep worrying about something in your future and you're
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: not focused on the twenty four pressures hours that he's
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: giving you right now. The past belongs to history, the
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: future belongs to God. Now belongs to you. It's yours.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: That's why they call it the present, because it is
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: God's gift to you right now. Make better use of now.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Stop worrying about the future, and let go of the past.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: Bail that's it, dropping go ahead, all right, time, so time,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: don't master you, hey man. Have a great weekend, told y'all. Yeah,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: all right, Steve, thank you for that. For all Steve
