- 0:05Speaker 3: Y'all don't know y'all at all, So don't given the
- 0:15Speaker 3: black busy listening to show.
- 0:38Speaker 4: I don't Joy, Yeah, Joy.
- 0:59Speaker 2: You gotta use that.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Love turn. You gotta turn to turn the mouth turn
- 1:43Speaker 5: You probably got to turn the mouth turn out.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Then a look, come on, come on you.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
- 2:05Speaker 6: listening to the voice, come on dig me now. One
- 2:08Speaker 6: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 7: Man.
- 2:13Speaker 8: If y'all only knew, I think I'll tell it to you.
- 2:17Speaker 8: This morning man started off real crazy. But it's just
- 2:21Speaker 8: those little mishaps where we as people who are striving
- 2:25Speaker 8: to be successful that makes all the difference in the world.
- 2:30Speaker 8: When you have those little minor things that come up,
- 2:33Speaker 8: you can't let the minor things stop you. You've got
- 2:36Speaker 8: to keep pressing forward. Now, Could I have played the
- 2:40Speaker 8: role of where is my car? Where is my car?
- 2:44Speaker 7: Oh?
- 2:44Speaker 8: Where is my car? Instead of hustling and grab a cab?
- 2:50Speaker 2: So what am I? Am I above a cab ride?
- 2:53Speaker 7: Now?
- 2:54Speaker 8: Or do I have to look at the bigger picture
- 2:56Speaker 8: and say, okay, I could act like a little spoiled
- 2:59Speaker 8: brat sometime type of star and go I don't ride
- 3:01Speaker 8: in cabs, or where's my car? And then go to
- 3:04Speaker 8: blaming people for not having a car, or do I
- 3:06Speaker 8: make the adjustments because it ain't like I ain't been
- 3:08Speaker 8: in a cab before, now slow down. Ain't like I
- 3:11Speaker 8: ain't never been in in a beat up car before.
- 3:14Speaker 8: Slow down. Ain't ever like I ain't never had a
- 3:16Speaker 8: car and rode a bus before. Slow down. Ain't like
- 3:20Speaker 8: I ain't never been homeless before, and they have nowhere
- 3:23Speaker 8: to go.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Slow down.
- 3:25Speaker 8: So in those moments right there, always remember where you
- 3:29Speaker 8: come from, but even more importantly, always remember where you
- 3:33Speaker 8: trying to go, because it's important for me that I
- 3:36Speaker 8: get here as many mornings as I possibly can. It's
- 3:40Speaker 8: important because that's the goal. And so many people allow
- 3:43Speaker 8: a minor things to stop them on their road to success.
- 3:46Speaker 8: And I'm giving you this example today not to say hey,
- 3:50Speaker 8: look at me, but to say to you, hey, listen
- 3:53Speaker 8: to me. There are going to be a lot of
- 3:54Speaker 8: things that's going to happen along your way to be
- 3:56Speaker 8: as successful, and if you allow the small things to
- 3:59Speaker 8: stop you, there's no way you'll make it. You've got
- 4:02Speaker 8: to always press forward and stop looking at the situation
- 4:05Speaker 8: for what it is and look, sometimes you have to
- 4:07Speaker 8: take your hour off right now and put your eye
- 4:09Speaker 8: in the future. You know, God has blessed me in
- 4:11Speaker 8: so many ways. I mean, what can I say? You know,
- 4:14Speaker 8: I ask God for this syndicated show. He gives me
- 4:17Speaker 8: a syndicated show. Niact like I don't want to come
- 4:19Speaker 8: to it. Hold on, man, slow down. Did not you
- 4:22Speaker 8: ask for this? Do I not realize that there are
- 4:25Speaker 8: certain people, man, who look forward to this message in
- 4:28Speaker 8: the morning. I've heard it from people. So from the
- 4:32Speaker 8: hundreds that I've heard it for, that could represent thousands
- 4:36Speaker 8: for all I know. So if I think somebody's counting
- 4:39Speaker 8: on me, I got to try to get there and
- 4:41Speaker 8: give something. So today I didn't have any time at
- 4:44Speaker 8: all to think about what I might say. I just
- 4:46Speaker 8: walk right in and the jingle was playing, and so
- 4:49Speaker 8: I decided to just tell you about my day and
- 4:52Speaker 8: maybe you can relate it to something you going through
- 4:54Speaker 8: along the way, because no matter who you are, you're
- 4:56Speaker 8: going to have some moments man, where things are going
- 4:59Speaker 8: to happen.
- 5:00Speaker 2: And like I.
- 5:01Speaker 8: Always tell my kids, and I just had this conversation
- 5:03Speaker 8: with my little girl. It ain't that things ain't gonna happen.
- 5:06Speaker 8: It's how you handle what happens that matters. But it
- 5:10Speaker 8: don't matter. It's how you handle what happens that's the
- 5:14Speaker 8: determining factor on where you get in life and how
- 5:17Speaker 8: soon you get there and how long you stay there.
- 5:20Speaker 8: That will always be a mishap, something that's gonna throw
- 5:25Speaker 8: you off. That will always be something man, that could
- 5:29Speaker 8: deter you. That will be something somewhere, man that will
- 5:32Speaker 8: make you doubt it. Now that you know that's gonna happen,
- 5:36Speaker 8: then let's talk about how you handle what happens, because
- 5:39Speaker 8: it's going to happen. So now what do you do
- 5:42Speaker 8: as a person when these moments come about in your life?
- 5:45Speaker 8: How do you handle?
- 5:46Speaker 7: Oh?
- 5:47Speaker 2: Woe is me?
- 5:48Speaker 8: Oh?
- 5:49Speaker 2: I guess it wasn't meant to be. Well.
- 5:52Speaker 8: If the Lord wanted me to have this, I'd have that.
- 5:55Speaker 8: How many damn many times you hear people say that,
- 5:57Speaker 8: You know, man, it really irks me. Man, Stop using
- 6:01Speaker 8: God as your excuse. God ain't no excuse. God is
- 6:05Speaker 8: a reason. He's a reason why the good happens. He's
- 6:11Speaker 8: a reason. He's not an excuse. God don't have no excuses,
- 6:15Speaker 8: and none of his scriptures or writings not that he
- 6:18Speaker 8: just don't make excuses. I would have done this. But
- 6:22Speaker 8: you know, there's a scripture that says the poor will
- 6:25Speaker 8: all shall always be amongst us. Why that's got to
- 6:29Speaker 8: be you. Yeah, he said the poor will always be
- 6:32Speaker 8: amongst us, because you know, everybody ain't gonna follow the
- 6:34Speaker 8: principles of success. But he also said he came to
- 6:37Speaker 8: give you life and give it to you more abundantly.
- 6:40Speaker 8: He said that too, But oh no, you don't want
- 6:42Speaker 8: to hear that because your life kind of trip it
- 6:44Speaker 8: out a little bit.
- 6:45Speaker 2: So now what you do with it?
- 6:46Speaker 8: Now, you twist it and you go to that one
- 6:49Speaker 8: little scripture that say well, the poor shall always be
- 6:52Speaker 8: amongst us. Well, that's put in there because that's that
- 6:56Speaker 8: suggests in case. See that's a just in case 'all
- 7:00Speaker 8: don't want to follow the scriptures. That's just in case
- 7:03Speaker 8: you don't understand that faith without works is dead.
- 7:07Speaker 2: That's just in case you have not because you ask.
- 7:10Speaker 8: Now, it's just in case you don't believe, and shall
- 7:13Speaker 8: not doubt he got all that in there. But in
- 7:15Speaker 8: case you don't want to do that, there is a
- 7:18Speaker 8: scripture that tells you what will happen if you don't
- 7:21Speaker 8: do it, and here it is, the poor shall always
- 7:23Speaker 8: be amongst us. But then you get that when they say, well,
- 7:26Speaker 8: that's I guess that's the Lord's will, Lord's will, really, really,
- 7:30Speaker 8: really really that's amazing. I just don't believe that about him.
- 7:36Speaker 8: I don't believe that God created your life to be
- 7:39Speaker 8: a life of misery. I think that we make decisions
- 7:44Speaker 8: along the way that cause us to have lives of misery.
- 7:47Speaker 8: But I really really just don't believe that God created
- 7:52Speaker 8: you for that. I've heard Nelson Mandela speak, and you know,
- 7:58Speaker 8: you gotta go wild. All those years in prison, Man,
- 8:03Speaker 8: what was it about? When you hear him speak, you
- 8:05Speaker 8: understand what it was about. He said he always knew
- 8:09Speaker 8: he would be free one day. Now, what he said
- 8:12Speaker 8: he never knew was he said he never knew that
- 8:15Speaker 8: he would be the president of that country. Oh my goodness,
- 8:21Speaker 8: what a long way around. But he could have set
- 8:24Speaker 8: there and got involved in prison activities that wasn't up
- 8:28Speaker 8: to paw and things like that. And they said whenever
- 8:32Speaker 8: young inmates used to come in. He was telling the
- 8:34Speaker 8: story one time of how young inmates used to come
- 8:36Speaker 8: into the prison. They all sit around and talk to
- 8:39Speaker 8: him about what they were doing and how many kids
- 8:41Speaker 8: they had in their lives, and it helped them keep
- 8:43Speaker 8: track of the outside a little bit, and it kept
- 8:46Speaker 8: a sense of time for them, and it reminded me
- 8:49Speaker 8: to talk about what they left behind, and it kept
- 8:51Speaker 8: them going because something was greater on the other side.
- 8:56Speaker 8: Had he allowed that to stop him, had he allowed
- 9:00Speaker 8: the imprisonment, which is a pretty major deal. Oh, by
- 9:02Speaker 8: the way, then guess what he would have never been
- 9:05Speaker 8: the Nelson Mandela that we know today, a martyr, a leader,
- 9:09Speaker 8: a great force. People want to go around him. Even
- 9:12Speaker 8: people that imprisoned him could not understand his staunch strength,
- 9:17Speaker 8: his faith, his unwavering commitment. They couldn't understand it. So
- 9:22Speaker 8: things are going to happen in your life. But it's
- 9:24Speaker 8: how you handle what happens doesn't matter. So keep pushing, y'all.
- 9:27Speaker 8: Don't let the little things get in the way, okay,
- 9:30Speaker 8: And if you just sometimes you just don't know. I
- 9:32Speaker 8: got in a cab thinking I wasn't gonna make it,
- 9:34Speaker 8: but at least let's go see, let's try.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I made it. Now.
- 9:38Speaker 8: Guess what that gives me another piece of information that
- 9:41Speaker 8: I have, and all I had to see it again today.
- 9:45Speaker 8: Guess what I said today? Man, sometime when it looked
- 9:48Speaker 8: like you aren't gonna make it, just go ahead on anywhere.
- 9:50Speaker 7: Now.
- 9:50Speaker 8: I could still be back there at the hotel talking
- 9:52Speaker 8: about where my car, but I got up in here
- 9:54Speaker 8: made it.
- 9:55Speaker 2: So Now what y'all gonna do with it? Let's go.
- 9:57Speaker 9: You're listening.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Morning show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04Speaker 8: Right now the time has come, a new day, new opportunity,
- 10:09Speaker 8: a new blessing, another gift, a present.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Please know who it was?
- 10:16Speaker 8: It was him? He did it again. Hey, god boy,
- 10:19Speaker 8: he just keeps showing up, and I'm sure show.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Glad he do.
- 10:22Speaker 8: I'm glad that's God just got to show up because
- 10:24Speaker 8: if he was waiting on some people, I'd be a
- 10:26Speaker 8: lot of late. I ain't coming in the day, you
- 10:29Speaker 8: know what I mean? The dead people would be here
- 10:31Speaker 8: this morning. If it was somebody that pressed the button
- 10:34Speaker 8: for the sun to come up, they overslept over. If
- 10:40Speaker 8: we need sunshine, ladies and gentlemen, this is Steve Harvey
- 10:46Speaker 8: Morning Show, Shirley Strapberry calling for real Mississippi Monica Jr.
- 10:49Speaker 8: The legend that is Nephew Tommas Junior. What's on your
- 10:52Speaker 8: mind today?
- 10:53Speaker 7: Man?
- 10:53Speaker 10: Hey argue like you said, people be late, Like how
- 10:56Speaker 10: many blessings would be held up it was left to people?
- 10:58Speaker 2: Uh put it to you this way. O. Looky, I
- 11:03Speaker 2: ain't the Lord. Oh let me tell you.
- 11:11Speaker 8: Yeah, no, no, no no, because I'm human. Humans will
- 11:16Speaker 8: not do good in that capacity. That capacity is reserved
- 11:20Speaker 8: for God and God alone.
- 11:23Speaker 2: That's why it's only.
- 11:24Speaker 8: Him and now no one has that power.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Nothing has that power.
- 11:30Speaker 8: Yeah, because soon as I was him, I go straight
- 11:34Speaker 8: on the internet, straighten it all out.
- 11:40Speaker 2: About wipe out.
- 11:42Speaker 11: Not break it.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I ain't gotta break nothing. I'm gonna break you for
- 11:47Speaker 2: being on.
- 11:47Speaker 11: It, right.
- 11:51Speaker 10: Yeah, man, I say somebody me talk about you, Well,
- 11:54Speaker 10: it's gonna be a problem, say.
- 11:55Speaker 8: Somebody me, Yeah, anybody, anybody I know spaking it all out.
- 12:03Speaker 8: But that's it, though, Man, I forgot your original question.
- 12:07Speaker 2: But yeah, I got you.
- 12:09Speaker 7: You know.
- 12:10Speaker 10: But you know, I love how you just bless him,
- 12:13Speaker 10: like you so blessed that you recognize the fact that
- 12:15Speaker 10: he's doing it, not you.
- 12:16Speaker 12: Some people don't want to acknowledge that that it's just him.
- 12:19Speaker 2: There's no way this could be me.
- 12:21Speaker 8: There is no way this could be me because I'm
- 12:23Speaker 8: telling you flat out, I didn't see this.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I had no way to orchestrate this.
- 12:28Speaker 8: And all the decisions I made in my life, I
- 12:31Speaker 8: ain't know what's gonna turn out like this. Come on, man,
- 12:35Speaker 8: I made what I thought was some good decisions, but boy,
- 12:39Speaker 8: he was he was crazy about it. I also made
- 12:43Speaker 8: some real real ignoranci. Yeah, and I wound up here
- 12:54Speaker 8: because I'm telling you right now there's some decisions I
- 13:00Speaker 8: can't share with y'all. Okay, boy, boy, I've done some things.
- 13:04Speaker 8: And that's the thing about it, man. What I try
- 13:05Speaker 8: to do on the show is I try to use
- 13:07Speaker 8: my personal experiences to teach people through the things I've learned.
- 13:12Speaker 8: It's sad that people don't take it that way, but
- 13:14Speaker 8: that's really my intent. I just really intend to show
- 13:17Speaker 8: you my experience and hopefully you can learn the way
- 13:20Speaker 8: I'm coping and dealing with stuff. You know, some people
- 13:23Speaker 8: don't take it that way, but you know, but you
- 13:25Speaker 8: know that's some people you can't help.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Man.
- 13:27Speaker 8: Some people just can't help. Just have to let them go.
- 13:29Speaker 8: I'm gonna just keep on doing it though. For those
- 13:31Speaker 8: that want it.
- 13:32Speaker 11: Okay, there you go.
- 13:34Speaker 13: That part yeah, all right, coming up with thirty two
- 13:38Speaker 13: minutes after the hour, we'll hear from a nephews he
- 13:41Speaker 13: runs that prank back right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 9: You're listening hard Morning show.
- 13:48Speaker 11: It's time now for the nephew to run that prank back.
- 13:50Speaker 2: What you got for us? Ne fu?
- 13:53Speaker 14: Sureley, I got edible fruit delivery. Edible fruit delivery. We've
- 13:58Speaker 14: all gotten it before, we all in the loved ones
- 14:01Speaker 14: and friends. That would be edible fruit delivery. Sounds very
- 14:05Speaker 14: very bullet It just sounds. But let's take a listen.
- 14:11Speaker 14: Edible fruit delivery, cat dog if.
- 14:13Speaker 15: You would, Hello, Stories, How can I help you? I'm
- 14:17Speaker 15: trying to find a check he's not in right now.
- 14:20Speaker 15: How can I help you?
- 14:21Speaker 7: Okay? All right, well, I'm sorry man. What's your name?
- 14:25Speaker 7: My name is Perkins. I actually have a delivery, edible
- 14:29Speaker 7: fruit delivery for Chad and I'm trying to make sure
- 14:31Speaker 7: I got the address and everything correct.
- 14:33Speaker 15: Oh, well, who's it from?
- 14:36Speaker 7: I think it's from you? Your name is what's your
- 14:39Speaker 7: name of?
- 14:39Speaker 15: Gus Divina? I didn't order any any edible arrangements.
- 14:44Speaker 7: Okay, there's for Valentine's let me see.
- 14:47Speaker 15: Yeah, that's that's definitely must be a mistake. You sure
- 14:50Speaker 15: I was in Chad ordered some edible arrangements for me.
- 14:53Speaker 15: I think that that might make some sense.
- 14:55Speaker 7: Or it's for Chad. Okay, here it is, Who's who's
- 14:58Speaker 7: sent this? Miss? The reader? The reader?
- 15:03Speaker 15: Oh no no, no, no, no no no, that's not me
- 15:07Speaker 15: at all. I'm Divina and that isn't making name why
- 15:10Speaker 15: she would spend anything, right, I'm checking, but the different persons.
- 15:17Speaker 7: Okay, so do you know Clark? Who is that?
- 15:20Speaker 15: Oh that's not someone I associate with personally. That's Chad's
- 15:24Speaker 15: ex wife and that doesn't make any sense for her
- 15:26Speaker 15: to be sending us anything. So you don't you don't
- 15:29Speaker 15: even have to.
- 15:30Speaker 7: I don't know. Fine, I don't think he sent us.
- 15:33Speaker 7: She didn't send it. She said this the chance she
- 15:35Speaker 7: didn't send it to you.
- 15:37Speaker 15: Okay, well, I'm just gonna let you know we don't
- 15:39Speaker 15: need that delivery, so thank you. Anyway, you can go ahead,
- 15:41Speaker 15: and and you can keep that.
- 15:45Speaker 7: Hold on, hold on miss say right name, don't.
- 15:49Speaker 15: Worry, don't don't don't worry too much about that.
- 15:51Speaker 7: If I don't make my deliveries, I don't get paid.
- 15:54Speaker 7: I have to deliver these of this edible fruit. Man,
- 15:56Speaker 7: I haven't.
- 15:57Speaker 15: It doesn't make any sense. So now just discard it
- 15:59Speaker 15: myself if you if you need to bring it, but
- 16:02Speaker 15: I'm sure I have to bring it.
- 16:04Speaker 7: Let me ask you something. I mean this, lady. I mean,
- 16:07Speaker 7: I'm not trying to pry into anything, but I mean,
- 16:10Speaker 7: have you have you bought him anything about that? No?
- 16:13Speaker 15: I haven't, but I have plenty of time.
- 16:16Speaker 7: But wiped them about something that don't make sense to me.
- 16:19Speaker 7: Why haven't you bought anything?
- 16:21Speaker 15: All right? I don't think you need to worry about
- 16:23Speaker 15: what I get from my man or what I don't
- 16:24Speaker 15: get from my husband. All right, that's none of your concerns.
- 16:27Speaker 7: Well is concerned about making sure he gets something.
- 16:31Speaker 15: I'm sorry, who am I speaking to?
- 16:34Speaker 7: My name is okay?
- 16:35Speaker 15: And I already told you we don't need no delivery.
- 16:38Speaker 15: I don't need you ask me questions about it.
- 16:40Speaker 7: I told you my marriage.
- 16:43Speaker 15: Well, let me tell you I'm not gonna fight to
- 16:45Speaker 15: fight with you on the phone when I canna be
- 16:47Speaker 15: too schools to arguing. I'm all, we don't need anything.
- 16:53Speaker 15: You don't need to be questioned me about what I
- 16:55Speaker 15: do what don't do for my husband. That's actually none
- 16:57Speaker 15: of your business.
- 16:58Speaker 7: I need to know when Chad is gonna be there,
- 17:01Speaker 7: so mister Chad might don't worry so.
- 17:03Speaker 15: Much about Chad. This is our family business, family business.
- 17:06Speaker 15: I'm his wife. Do you understand what that means? I'm
- 17:08Speaker 15: his wife.
- 17:09Speaker 7: I understand that. But evidently his ex wife wanted him
- 17:12Speaker 7: to have his fruit. If you are off sad, and
- 17:16Speaker 7: I'm not gonna say, I'm not gonna become deliver letting
- 17:19Speaker 7: you and you're gonna throw it away. This is Chad's
- 17:22Speaker 7: fruit basket.
- 17:23Speaker 15: And this is Angel did the re send you specifically?
- 17:27Speaker 15: I just want to understand what the hell is going
- 17:29Speaker 15: on because you seem really invested in in my husband's
- 17:33Speaker 15: ex wife. I don't even understand why, but it's gonna
- 17:35Speaker 15: piss me off. So I want some answers.
- 17:36Speaker 7: And you used the right word. You're not invested in Chad.
- 17:40Speaker 7: Why haven't you thought anything for Chad? Is why?
- 17:44Speaker 15: Perkins. I'm gonna need to speak to your guy and
- 17:46Speaker 15: manager because I'm getting real upset right now and you
- 17:49Speaker 15: don't want no problems with me, So why don't you
- 17:51Speaker 15: hand over your manager of the phone and we're gonna

- 22:52Speaker 8: and saying, because you're gonna say something and she gonna

- 23:26Speaker 13: her age, but my wife says, it's totally normal. What
- 23:31Speaker 13: do I say to my heartbroken little girl? Can I
- 23:34Speaker 13: beat the boy up?
- 23:37Speaker 7: Bruh? Good?
- 23:38Speaker 2: Hell? Where what You're gonna beat the boy up?
- 23:44Speaker 8: Or he's stupid just like you was, just like I was,
- 23:47Speaker 8: just like all of us was. Yeah, liking two girls. Bruh, bruh. Hey, brother,
- 23:53Speaker 8: listen to me, man, just let your wife handle it,

- 23:58Speaker 8: You stay back because your first God dear it is prisy.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Child.
- 24:07Speaker 8: That concept is prison. Lay Your little girl will be
- 24:12Speaker 8: all right. This ain't her first time getting her heart broke.
- 24:15Speaker 8: Don't worry about that.
- 24:15Speaker 2: And the little hug.
- 24:18Speaker 8: Huh, didn't even wear about the little glass boy. He
- 24:22Speaker 8: gonna get his face cracked so many times. You don't

- 24:28Speaker 2: All right.
- 24:28Speaker 13: Moving on to chastity indicatur, Chastity says, I saw it.
- 24:33Speaker 8: One more thing, one more thing. All you need to
- 24:35Speaker 8: do is teach your girl not to be fighting over
- 24:37Speaker 8: no boy. That's all the message you need to do is,
- 24:40Speaker 8: do not fight your cousin over no boy. No, don't
- 24:43Speaker 8: fight no other girl about no boy getting that in
- 24:46Speaker 8: her head.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Don't worry about the feelings.
- 24:48Speaker 11: Great advice, Steve, love that ll O all right.

- 25:02Speaker 13: when his coworker's car wouldn't start.
- 25:04Speaker 11: Why didn't he mention it?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Because you just ride home. It wasn't nothing to mention.
- 25:10Speaker 2: It wasn't nothing to it.
- 25:12Speaker 8: Yeah, it was nothing to it.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Why would I mention it? I've a couple of people
- 25:19Speaker 2: rides home.
- 25:20Speaker 8: I ain't never mentioned it for you don't want to
- 25:22Speaker 8: mention it for it wasn't nothing up and that was
- 25:23Speaker 8: something to it. If I said, hey, look, just just
- 25:25Speaker 8: to let you know this. Later on the job, I
- 25:28Speaker 8: think she liked me. I gave her ride home. She
- 25:30Speaker 8: mentioned I just bring it to your attention. I ain't
- 25:32Speaker 8: to do that because it wasn't nothing. Now, I would
- 25:35Speaker 8: never say that.
- 25:36Speaker 11: I said, like said all the.
- 25:39Speaker 13: Quentin phone, the girl down at the job likes me, babe,
- 25:47Speaker 13: And yeah, I just gave her a ride home.
- 25:50Speaker 7: That does.
- 25:51Speaker 11: See how that sounds.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I don't want to stay. What save any messages?
- 25:56Speaker 7: It's for.
- 25:58Speaker 1: What did you say, Tommy? Everything the phone?
- 26:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I said, why is his wife and his phone?
- 26:06Speaker 11: Because she's his wife?
- 26:08Speaker 7: Bro?
- 26:08Speaker 2: Why you got why you lead that text in the phone?
- 26:11Speaker 2: See right there? That's true. Yeah?
- 26:14Speaker 13: Yeah, you learn anything from that response, Junior, I sure
- 26:18Speaker 13: did what you learned today.
- 26:22Speaker 8: Messages in the phone pro literally man, because it could
- 26:29Speaker 8: be something innocent.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Just before you go home, owe me phone up.
- 26:34Speaker 8: Any girl in there for any reason, Supervisor, I don't
- 26:39Speaker 8: give you that.

- 27:33Speaker 13: All right, last one, Steve Marvena and Stamford Marvina writes,
- 27:38Speaker 13: my husband's friends pop up at our house and disturb
- 27:41Speaker 13: my peace.
- 27:42Speaker 2: I made it.
- 27:43Speaker 13: I made a pot of chili Saturday, and two friends
- 27:45Speaker 13: of his came by and ate most of it. He
- 27:48Speaker 13: would have been mad if I didn't let them eat.
- 27:50Speaker 13: How do I get my husband to be more considerate?
- 27:54Speaker 2: Bruh? Crazy? Why people hopping up at your house right now?
- 27:59Speaker 2: Call me.
- 28:01Speaker 8: There's an age man, where popping up ain't legal no more.
- 28:05Speaker 8: And the age is once you have a wife, that
- 28:08Speaker 8: popping up is over. Now you don't know how my
- 28:11Speaker 8: wife's sitting around the house. So now man, as as
- 28:14Speaker 8: a married couple, that the popping up. It's got to
- 28:17Speaker 8: be a phone call, that's true. That's got to be
- 28:20Speaker 8: a phone call. It's gotta be a baby. A baby.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Oh, Willy and Tony coming.
- 28:25Speaker 8: Over you Willie and Tony. They sound like they sound
- 28:32Speaker 8: like people that stopped being popped out again.
- 28:39Speaker 13: So so, yeah, her husband needs to be a lot
- 28:42Speaker 13: more considerate.
- 28:43Speaker 11: She just wants to know how.
- 28:46Speaker 1: So how does she tell him that? Though? How does
- 28:48Speaker 1: she tell her husband?
- 28:50Speaker 2: Baby? Listen to me.
- 28:52Speaker 8: I just I just don't like it when people pop
- 28:54Speaker 8: up at the house. I don't mind your friends coming over.
- 28:57Speaker 8: Just could you give me a heads up? Could you
- 28:59Speaker 8: just be respectful of me? Yeah, and just say hey, Donald,
- 29:03Speaker 8: so and so.
- 29:04Speaker 2: What's coming by.
- 29:04Speaker 8: I'm gonna let your friends come by, but I don't
- 29:07Speaker 8: like being surprised.
- 29:09Speaker 2: That's fair. And if I know they coming out and
- 29:11Speaker 2: make a little bit more chili for they all of

- 37:41Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 37:43Speaker 13: The National Retail Federation's annual Valentine's Day Survey is out.
- 37:48Speaker 13: It's revealing that fifty three percent of consumers plan to
- 37:51Speaker 13: celebrate Valentine's Day this year. People expect to spend an
- 37:55Speaker 13: average of almost two hundred dollars each, okay, close to that,
- 37:58Speaker 13: for a total of twenty five point eight billion on
- 38:01Speaker 13: Valentine's Day. The most popular gifts include candy, greeting cards, flowers,
- 38:06Speaker 13: a night out, jewelry, clothing, lingerie, and gift cards. So
- 38:10Speaker 13: here's a question for you guys. What are your plans?
- 38:14Speaker 13: How much do you think you'll spend? And what would
- 38:16Speaker 13: you what would your ultimate Valentine's Day include?
- 38:19Speaker 11: What's that going to look like?
- 38:21Speaker 2: We going to Dinna?
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it.
- 38:23Speaker 2: That's it.
- 38:27Speaker 11: I thought that was a comma.

- 38:39Speaker 11: Nothing, you lie, no flowers.
- 38:42Speaker 8: You was just on tour this weekend. Hey you you
- 38:44Speaker 8: could talk about you Hey got it? And I don't
- 38:48Speaker 8: know who's hundred dollars for, but that stop applying to me.
- 38:51Speaker 8: A long time ago. I've been trying to figure out
- 38:54Speaker 8: what I can't do for two. You ain't gonna get
- 38:59Speaker 8: no flowers for your girl on Valentine Yeah.
- 39:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna get some fly I got some yeah, man, yeah, yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 11: Tell the truth, Tommy.
- 39:06Speaker 8: And she ain't gonna have a box to open on
- 39:08Speaker 8: Valentine's Day and gave you babies.
- 39:10Speaker 2: You finn to go in there with butter cake?
- 39:13Speaker 18: Get him yelty, Yeah, Come, I can't put the buttercake
- 39:19Speaker 18: in a box.
- 39:24Speaker 13: Happy Valentine's Day. Come out in thirty four minutes after
- 39:28Speaker 13: the hour. Sports meltdown and or tantrums, we'll talk about
- 39:32Speaker 13: all of that right after this.
- 39:34Speaker 9: You're listening morning show.
- 39:37Speaker 7: Well.
- 39:38Speaker 13: On Sunday, during Super Bowl fifty eight, Kansas City Chiefs
- 39:41Speaker 13: player Travis Kelcey had a bit of a meltdown or tantrum,
- 39:44Speaker 13: if you will. He was pulled from the game after
- 39:47Speaker 13: a specific play and he disagreed with that decision. Kelsey
- 39:52Speaker 13: yelled at head coach Andy Reid, which caused the coach
- 39:54Speaker 13: to stumble, and then he threw his helmet down on
- 39:57Speaker 13: the sidelines.
- 39:59Speaker 11: So today's question.
- 40:02Speaker 13: Back in the day, guys, when you played sports, did
- 40:05Speaker 13: you ever yell at your coach or throw a tentrum
- 40:07Speaker 13: because things weren't going your way?
- 40:10Speaker 2: He Hell no, I wasn't for that at the coach.
- 40:18Speaker 8: To you down there on that bitch trying to be quiet.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Hope you don't.
- 40:25Speaker 17: Harvey get over here there.
- 40:31Speaker 11: Yeah, Travis Kelsey said, it was between them.
- 40:33Speaker 13: Whatever they were talking about, whatever he was yelling at
- 40:36Speaker 13: him about, it was between them.
- 40:38Speaker 8: But down yeah, I think Taylor's working. Need to pay
- 40:42Speaker 8: attention to what's happening out on that field.
- 40:46Speaker 1: The temper, the race man, he was mad.
- 40:51Speaker 11: He did he stumbled. You saw him stumbled. Yes, that
- 40:55Speaker 11: was crazy.
- 40:56Speaker 1: What about you, Tommy? You ran a track, so you
- 40:59Speaker 1: had track coach.
- 41:01Speaker 14: I got upset because I didn't like running first leg
- 41:04Speaker 14: over my relay.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I always always wanted to run second leg. And so
- 41:10Speaker 2: what happened?
- 41:11Speaker 1: What happened to me?
- 41:12Speaker 2: Nothing? I got my butt. I did ran first leg,
- 41:14Speaker 2: like he.
- 41:14Speaker 11: Said, j you played football.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 41:23Speaker 10: I didn't never yell at the coach, but I did
- 41:24Speaker 10: yell at some of my teammates. And I did do
- 41:26Speaker 10: that because I don't know how Zane uns to know
- 41:28Speaker 10: was six six and ticklish to play left tackle.
- 41:31Speaker 12: We are not were not intimidating nobody. If you keep laughing, Yeah.
- 41:34Speaker 10: Every time he blocked, he over there, man put him down,
- 41:40Speaker 10: but laughing, it's not funny.
- 41:43Speaker 12: It's third and five. We need a first down.
- 41:47Speaker 10: Oh man, come on, I big.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Was he six ' six?
- 41:55Speaker 12: Just ticklish? Just laughing the whole time.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Wow, that's funny, man, he's doing but stity. He's like,
- 42:03Speaker 1: you played basketball, though you didn't you you didn't play
- 42:05Speaker 1: any sports in high school.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I played in summer league. Oh he boxed a little bit.
- 42:10Speaker 7: Though.
- 42:11Speaker 2: It's hard to get it.
- 42:12Speaker 8: Hard to get in an argument when the coach your daddy,
- 42:17Speaker 8: because man, my daddy punched me dead in the yoll
- 42:19Speaker 8: He didn't give it, and I was way better than
- 42:21Speaker 8: my fault, but he pushed me. What nothing I could
- 42:25Speaker 8: do about it? You talking about boxing when you boxing
- 42:28Speaker 8: ain't a lack a team sport. It's yeah at all.
- 42:34Speaker 8: You gotta get up here now, man, it's just own you.
- 42:36Speaker 8: All everything going wrong it's cause of you.
- 42:41Speaker 11: Did you make your daddy proud?
- 42:43Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah. I was pretty good though, you know
- 42:45Speaker 2: the little level I was home.
- 42:46Speaker 8: But I'll tell you what, there was a lot of
- 42:48Speaker 8: times I was looking over that rift, talking about what
- 42:49Speaker 8: the web that bail at?
- 42:53Speaker 2: I need this bail.
- 42:54Speaker 8: I'm tied all this dancing because I was. It was
- 42:57Speaker 8: a Puerto Rican I thought I was. I ran from
- 43:00Speaker 8: his ass for the first two rounds. This boy hit
- 43:03Speaker 8: so hard. He hit me on my arm. I way,
- 43:04Speaker 8: oh yeah, on my arm, I said, boy, if he
- 43:08Speaker 8: hit me in strong, yeah, let me let me go
- 43:11Speaker 8: on and dance.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Stop all that dancing the fight.
- 43:15Speaker 7: You're not.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Running.
- 43:18Speaker 8: Looked like you got a skirt on.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Shut your black ass up. I'm sad.
- 43:29Speaker 7: Now.
- 43:29Speaker 8: This dude right here, this dude hit weigh too hard.
- 43:31Speaker 8: He was out of my uh weight division while I was.
- 43:34Speaker 8: I was, I was well, y'all going all, but I
- 43:36Speaker 8: walked weight, y'all weight. No, I walked weight. I walked
- 43:40Speaker 8: weight and I was fighting the middleweight because there was
- 43:42Speaker 8: nobody to fight that.
- 43:44Speaker 2: And I took the fight. My dads, my mom, my boy,
- 43:46Speaker 2: fight anybody. I looked at him.
- 43:49Speaker 8: Fight this dude one sixth day. Hold on, man, that's
- 43:53Speaker 8: twenty pounds. Twenty pounds and can't know what he's doing
- 43:57Speaker 8: at that time. That was one forty seven. Oh, this
- 44:01Speaker 8: dude sixty eight. That's that's a whole another division. That's
- 44:04Speaker 8: that's middleweight. Oh, you can't do.
- 44:06Speaker 1: That, my boy. Fight anybody get in that heart, my boy?
- 44:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I will, I'll fight anybody.
- 44:12Speaker 7: Man.
- 44:13Speaker 2: I was hanging with him till he finally caught me though.
- 44:19Speaker 8: All right, whole night, whole whole world got bright.
- 44:24Speaker 13: Coming up next, it's nephew Tommy with the Today's Prank
- 44:28Speaker 13: Phone Call.
- 44:29Speaker 11: Right after this.
- 44:30Speaker 9: You're listening Hard Morning Show.
- 44:34Speaker 13: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:36Speaker 13: four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for today and
- 44:39Speaker 13: the subject is less is More and he loves it.
- 44:43Speaker 13: We'll get into that find out what that's all about
- 44:45Speaker 13: just a few because right now the nephew is.
- 44:48Speaker 11: Here with today's prank phone call. What you got for
- 44:50Speaker 11: his neph.
- 44:51Speaker 14: All right, it's time for Valentine's that's tomorrow right right right?
- 44:55Speaker 14: It is, all right, So it's twing to get these
- 44:57Speaker 14: deliveries out. This is Valentine's Day delivery. Valentine's Day delivery,
- 45:04Speaker 14: but it seems like you didn't order nothing for your wife?
- 45:09Speaker 2: Uh so who did? Who did that? Dog?
- 45:12Speaker 7: If you would Hello, Hello, my name is Eric. I
- 45:17Speaker 7: gotta give you guys a call. I got a delivery.
- 45:20Speaker 7: I gotta make there tomorrow for Valentine's for who Kendra Kendrew? Yeah,
- 45:26Speaker 7: Kendre lives here. That's my wife, But uh, I didn't order.
- 45:30Speaker 7: I didn't order anything for her from for her for
- 45:32Speaker 7: Valentine's Day. I'm supposed to be there between seven and
- 45:35Speaker 7: seven thirty. You guys are first on my list tomorrow
- 45:38Speaker 7: morning for Valentine And I got like seven eight boxes here.
- 45:43Speaker 7: That's uh, that's coming to you all's places. So all right,
- 45:46Speaker 7: I can let me let me let me ask you this.
- 45:49Speaker 7: You at six West Don Is that you? Yeah? That's me?
- 45:55Speaker 7: But uh again, there's there must be some clerical error
- 45:58Speaker 7: typo because like I just told you, man, I didn't
- 46:02Speaker 7: boxes in Chenne. It's about seven boxes. But I mean,
- 46:06Speaker 7: I mean it's just looking at the total here that
- 46:08Speaker 7: adds up to about six hunt or something dollars. I mean,
- 46:10Speaker 7: I got flowers, no partner, We just gonna I'm just
- 46:14Speaker 7: gonna take her to dinner and we're just gonna do
- 46:16Speaker 7: our thing. But there was there was there was no
- 46:18Speaker 7: delivery schedule from me enough, especially not at at seven
- 46:23Speaker 7: o'clock at no partner, you got it. It's just something wrong.
- 46:26Speaker 7: Well you are you so you're not gonna be there?
- 46:28Speaker 7: Are you not gonna be there tomorrow morning? Sir? Oh yeah,
- 46:32Speaker 7: I'm gonna be here. But as far as accepting a
- 46:35Speaker 7: delivery that I didn't order and didn't pay for, that's
- 46:38Speaker 7: not happening. Man. Well let me tell you. I got flowers,
- 46:42Speaker 7: two boxes that are lingerie, several boxes that are sex toys.
- 46:48Speaker 7: We'll all that stuff. I have all that stuff loaded
- 46:50Speaker 7: to be delivered tomorrow at seven am. And dude, obviously
- 46:56Speaker 7: there's a communication breakdown between you and me player because
- 47:00Speaker 7: I didn't order that, and right, but the but what
- 47:04Speaker 7: the problem I'm having is that you're telling me I
- 47:07Speaker 7: have the right address, you know the name of the
- 47:10Speaker 7: person Kendrick, which is your wife. Right, Yeah, yeah, so
- 47:15Speaker 7: far so good man. But uh as far as me
- 47:18Speaker 7: ordering that, dude, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not accepting
- 47:21Speaker 7: it because I didn't pay for it. I did not order.
- 47:25Speaker 7: I mean, I mean it's already, it's already paid. Let
- 47:29Speaker 7: me let me just look at the name here on
- 47:30Speaker 7: the here is here is right here. Okay, we got Devin.
- 47:35Speaker 8: What would you say?
- 47:37Speaker 7: I said, Devon, that's that's who made the purchase. Oh no, no, no, no, okay,
- 47:43Speaker 7: that's my wife's ex husband. So even you and him
- 47:46Speaker 7: are in cahoots with each other to do this and
- 47:49Speaker 7: and and try to upset me. But guess what you succeeded.
- 47:53Speaker 7: All right, So I'm gonna make this.
- 47:59Speaker 14: You.
- 47:59Speaker 7: I listened to you, so you listen to me. This
- 48:02Speaker 7: is what I want to make abundantly clear to you.
- 48:05Speaker 7: I understand you have a job to do. But if
- 48:07Speaker 7: you bring those roses and all of that stuff past
- 48:10Speaker 7: my house tomorrow, this is what's gonna happen. Those roses,
- 48:14Speaker 7: those storms, I'm gonna put them somewhere so far up
- 48:17Speaker 7: your rear end that the only way that they see
- 48:20Speaker 7: sunshine is when you open your mouth. So do not,
- 48:24Speaker 7: I repeat, do not. You and Devin. Y'all can take
- 48:27Speaker 7: this and you can do whatever y'all want with it.
- 48:29Speaker 7: Y'all can play with the sex toys. Y'all can do
- 48:32Speaker 7: whatever you are to red roses, petals and all that
- 48:34Speaker 7: other stuff. Y'all can do what you need to do.
- 48:37Speaker 7: Not show up at my crib tomorrow, because it ain't
- 48:40Speaker 7: gonna be a happy Valentine's Day for nobody involved. That's
- 48:44Speaker 7: what I'm okay. But here's the deal. As a delivery person,
- 48:49Speaker 7: I am obligated to make the drip. I have to
- 48:53Speaker 7: make this drive or then I don't get it. You know,
- 48:55Speaker 7: I get shoot out that I didn't do my job
- 48:57Speaker 7: because this stuff. Okay, so what with? What would you
- 49:00Speaker 7: rather be twot out or half throws up your rear?
- 49:03Speaker 7: End you let's sad down, let's flad down in. What
- 49:06Speaker 7: you're not gonna do is hold off, spen.
- 49:08Speaker 2: The do just flect.
- 49:10Speaker 7: You bring you bread, okay, all right, I won't do
- 49:14Speaker 7: the flowers. I'll use the sex toy for you. So
- 49:17Speaker 7: you got a choice, and you got flowers. You. Let's
- 49:22Speaker 7: let me let me say this with flowers as professional
- 49:26Speaker 7: as possible. You. I'm trying to be as pool as possible,
- 49:29Speaker 7: but you ain't listening to me. Do not bring the delivery. Okay,
- 49:33Speaker 7: you can drop them off at the curve. Then you
- 49:35Speaker 7: get credit for and whoever walk past and up and
- 49:38Speaker 7: down the street. They can pick it up, but do
- 49:41Speaker 7: not come to my front door and ring my doorbell
- 49:44Speaker 7: asking me to sign and accept nothing. It ain't have
- 49:48Speaker 7: to drop them off at the door, sir, I'm telling
- 49:53Speaker 7: you now, I've gotta drop them off at the door.
- 49:55Speaker 7: The problem I'm having is you telling me you're gonna
- 49:58Speaker 7: stick some flowers up my Now we got a problem
- 50:01Speaker 7: just listening to this whole scenario. I'm just curious. Is
- 50:05Speaker 7: it possible that maybe Devin does something for her that
- 50:08Speaker 7: you don't do? Hey? Man, you what what's work? Where
- 50:10Speaker 7: are you going at with this? All I'm telling you
- 50:13Speaker 7: is demand your business and don't make this drop. Don't
- 50:16Speaker 7: Why am I doing what that Devin? I'm sure that
- 50:19Speaker 7: Why am I gonna do this that Devon has purchased
- 50:22Speaker 7: for her? Guess what you need? Why? Don't need to
- 50:27Speaker 7: ask Devin because he better not show his faith up
- 50:30Speaker 7: over here. You can take it home and give it
- 50:33Speaker 7: to you your girl if you want to. I'm not
- 50:35Speaker 7: giving my girl anything that I didn't buy for her.
- 50:38Speaker 7: I'm not doing that, you think so? If you if
- 50:40Speaker 7: you're not gonna give your girl anything that you didn't
- 50:43Speaker 7: buy for why am I going to accept something for
- 50:45Speaker 7: my girl that I didn't buy. Far. I ain't come
- 50:47Speaker 7: home now telling you that you gotta accept it. But
- 50:49Speaker 7: I'm saying is and you bring out in my house,
- 50:53Speaker 7: I gotta accept it. And I'm telling you now, don't
- 50:55Speaker 7: even bring it to my house. Maybe maybe mister Devin
- 50:59Speaker 7: know what she looks. She looks like obviously she's gonna
- 51:02Speaker 7: watch him no more. She knows me a head of
- 51:05Speaker 7: the flower delivery person, just like her ex husband. I'm
- 51:10Speaker 7: the box and mom whooping. That's all I got to say.
- 51:14Speaker 7: Two words for bringing that someone whooping. See, you might
- 51:17Speaker 7: as well come on now so you can go home
- 51:19Speaker 7: after you get this whooping. Okay, okay, okay, let me
- 51:22Speaker 7: let me say this. At the end of the day,
- 51:23Speaker 7: I'm gonna say this is Tommy already told me yo,
- 51:26Speaker 7: she was gonna do something like this. He told me that,
- 51:29Speaker 7: who'd you say? Who the hell? I already told me
- 51:32Speaker 7: you was gonna like, who the hell is Tommy? Nephew Tommy, Isaiah,
- 51:37Speaker 7: This is nephew Tommy for the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 51:41Speaker 7: And guess what, Isaiah, your girl Kendrel got me the
- 51:44Speaker 7: prank phone call. You you know what? You Kendrew. All
- 51:53Speaker 7: of y'all can show up tomorrow and other y'all gonna
- 51:56Speaker 7: get portions of this talent times day. Ooh, you gotta
- 52:06Speaker 7: your brother chance to cool down now, Man to my
- 52:10Speaker 7: sweet one and only kindre with all that is in me.
- 52:14Speaker 7: I love your baby girl to death. Do us park
- 52:18Speaker 7: and it almost came early, but I love.
- 52:20Speaker 2: You some Frank praise up in here.
- 52:24Speaker 7: What it was? Stupid?
- 52:26Speaker 11: It was stupid.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it was stupid.

- 54:22Speaker 2: We got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter.
- 54:26Speaker 11: Thank you nephew.
- 54:27Speaker 13: Subject less is more and he loves it. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:31Speaker 13: I'm twenty nine years old and my boyfriend of two
- 54:34Speaker 13: years broke up with me. And when I asked for closure,
- 54:38Speaker 13: he finally agreed to tell me why he broke up
- 54:40Speaker 13: with me. He said he got bored because I'm shallow.
- 54:43Speaker 13: He said it was fun at first, but when he
- 54:45Speaker 13: got to really know me, there was nothing there but
- 54:48Speaker 13: a pretty face and a.
- 54:49Speaker 11: Lot of unbelievable sex.
- 54:51Speaker 13: He told me all about his new girlfriend, and he
- 54:53Speaker 13: said things are going great because she is who she
- 54:56Speaker 13: says she is inside and out. I know that I'm
- 55:00Speaker 13: the total package and his new girl is around a
- 55:03Speaker 13: six on a scale of one to ten. When we
- 55:06Speaker 13: would argue, he said I was too much, so I
- 55:09Speaker 13: told him to go find less and he did. He
- 55:12Speaker 13: said I was more of a dependent than a partner,
- 55:15Speaker 13: and I didn't bring anything to the table. I hate
- 55:18Speaker 13: that he feels like that dating me was a privilege.
- 55:21Speaker 13: I know his new girlfriend's cousin, so I asked her
- 55:25Speaker 13: about the girl and what she has that I didn't have.
- 55:29Speaker 13: Her cousin said that she is a real woman that cooks,
- 55:31Speaker 13: cleans and caters to him and is not just for
- 55:34Speaker 13: social media. That's who she is in real life. There's
- 55:38Speaker 13: no way that I would cater to that man when
- 55:40Speaker 13: we are dating. He should pay when we go out
- 55:44Speaker 13: and pay for all of my maintenance. When he puts
- 55:47Speaker 13: a ring on it, then I would step up and contribute.
- 55:51Speaker 13: The new girl washes his clothes, cooks for him, works
- 55:54Speaker 13: out with him, and even runs errands for his mama.
- 55:58Speaker 13: She pays to get her own hair done. Is this
- 56:01Speaker 13: why men are so trifling now? The women are doing
- 56:04Speaker 13: more and settling for less. Am I supposed to lower
- 56:07Speaker 13: my standards for dating? No, you don't have to lower
- 56:10Speaker 13: your standards. You don't have to settle, you don't have
- 56:12Speaker 13: to do anything like that. But let me tell you this.
- 56:16Speaker 13: He's not the man for you and you're not the
- 56:18Speaker 13: woman for him. You guys are not compatible. You want
- 56:21Speaker 13: different things. This man wants these things. You're not ready
- 56:25Speaker 13: to give it without a ring. But I got to
- 56:27Speaker 13: ask you. Did you even tell him you wanted a ring?
- 56:30Speaker 13: Have you all even discussed that in the two years
- 56:32Speaker 13: you were together? You feel like dating you is a
- 56:36Speaker 13: privilege and that's fine to feel that way about yourself,
- 56:40Speaker 13: but guess what, the man has to feel that way
- 56:42Speaker 13: about you too. Okay, this one doesn't. He's saying you
- 56:47Speaker 13: don't bring anything to the table. You're more of a
- 56:50Speaker 13: dependent than a partner. You're a liability to him, not
- 56:53Speaker 13: an asset. And clearly he's tired. He's just tired of you.
- 56:58Speaker 13: He's tired of paying, he's tired of posting on social media.
- 57:01Speaker 13: He wants more substance from you. He has more in
- 57:05Speaker 13: common with the new girl. He's got someone doing wifely
- 57:09Speaker 13: stuff like cooking, cleaning, running errands with his mom, catering
- 57:12Speaker 13: to him, and she's only his girlfriend.
- 57:15Speaker 11: That's not you.
- 57:16Speaker 13: You need a man to appreciate your looks and wants
- 57:19Speaker 13: to pay for your maintenance and to put a ring
- 57:21Speaker 13: on it.
- 57:22Speaker 11: And good luck with that. That's all I can tell you.
- 57:24Speaker 11: Good luck with that. I hope you definitely, I hope
- 57:27Speaker 11: you find him Steve.
- 57:30Speaker 8: Okay, ladies, I don't know how you all are going
- 57:34Speaker 8: to feel about my response, but I have one to
- 57:37Speaker 8: this letter, and I just want to I don't want
- 57:40Speaker 8: to call this a teaching moment. I just want to
- 57:42Speaker 8: call this a sharing moment. I'm going to teach you
- 57:45Speaker 8: something about men that obviously this woman in this letter
- 57:50Speaker 8: does not know or does not understand.
- 57:55Speaker 2: So you all heard Shirley's response and you heard the letter.
- 57:59Speaker 8: Let me opened the letter by saying this, most women
- 58:05Speaker 8: that are wives today were wifey material before they became wives.
- 58:15Speaker 2: Let me say this to you again, most wives today.
- 58:21Speaker 8: Were wifey material before they became wives. Ain't nobody finished
- 58:28Speaker 8: sign up with you without knowing what they signing up for.
- 58:32Speaker 8: So now let me go on and do the letter. Now,
- 58:35Speaker 8: you're twenty nine years old. Your boyfriend of two years
- 58:38Speaker 8: broke up with me. When I ask him for closure,
- 58:40Speaker 8: he finally agreed to tell me why he broke up. Now, congratulations,
- 58:44Speaker 8: because most men don't do that. Most men don't do closure.
- 58:48Speaker 8: We just bounced. He said he got bored because I'm shallowing. Okay,
- 58:55Speaker 8: that means ain't nothing to you. You're all surfaced. Nothing
- 58:59Speaker 8: behind the window, pretty window, But when you go in
- 59:02Speaker 8: the store, we don't have no more. You ever seen
- 59:05Speaker 8: a store that had a real good window in it,
- 59:07Speaker 8: window dressing everybody that Then you go in the store,
- 59:10Speaker 8: you can't find nothing. You won't because everything in the
- 59:13Speaker 8: window was good but ain't the what's in the window
- 59:15Speaker 8: ain't in your size. All the window got you in,
- 59:18Speaker 8: but you went into the store and nothing in that
- 59:19Speaker 8: was worth to day. Okay, he said it was fun
- 59:23Speaker 8: at first, but when we got to really know me,
- 59:24Speaker 8: that was nothing there but a pretty face and a
- 59:26Speaker 8: whole lot of unbelievable sex. Okay, it was nothing. Now,
- 59:32Speaker 8: maybe the conversation was missing. Maybe your dreams and values
- 59:35Speaker 8: and goals were not aligned with his. Just maybe you
- 59:39Speaker 8: can't just be pretty no mold ladies, somebody won't something.
- 59:44Speaker 8: And I'm telling you, man, when y'all thinking y'all passing
- 59:47Speaker 8: out this unbelievable sex, you ain't the only one got
- 59:49Speaker 8: some sex, sir, And I can skip the unbelievable part
- 59:53Speaker 8: if I can.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Get the rest of what I want. Oh uh oh,
- 59:57Speaker 2: I'm just sharing.
- 59:59Speaker 8: He told me all about got his new girlfriend, and
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: he's said things are going great because she is who
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: she says she is inside and out.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Oh so you was faking in front. See how that works.
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: He told you you was shallow, wasn't nothing to you,
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: But that didn't stop you. You said, you know what
- 1:00:17Speaker 8: you said after he said that, I know I'm a
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: total package. And his new girlfriend is around a six
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: on the scale of one.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: To ten to you. To you, she is six to him.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: She probably the total package. He was a pretty face
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: of um being. That's what you was.
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: I'll be back all right. O't tell y'all I didn't
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: know how y'all was gonna feel about this.
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: Well, have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:42Speaker 13: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 1:00:46Speaker 13: is less is More and he loves it. We'll get
- 1:00:49Speaker 13: back into it right after this.
- 1:00:51Speaker 9: You're listening hard morning show.
- 1:00:54Speaker 13: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:57Speaker 13: The subject is less and less is more and he
- 1:00:59Speaker 13: loves it.
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: I just want to start this letter like I started before.
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: Remember this, ladies, I'm gonna teach you something about men.
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: Most women that are wives today were wifey material before
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: they became a wife. I'm just gonna tell you that.
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: So if you act like wifey material, you got a
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: chance of becoming a wife. If you don't ever demonstrate
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: any wifely wifely qualities and duties, and it's probably not
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: wifey material. It's okay. The same thing about a man.
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: You want a man that's all of that right, Well,
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: don't you want your man to do show you manly
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: attributes before you get married, or you want to take
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: a chance of marrying without him showing you the type
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: of man he is. If this brother and this letter
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: ain't asking for much he broke up with you, you
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: ask him for closure. He said he got bored because
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: you shallow. He said it was fun at first until
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: he got to know you, but you aren't nothing but
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: a pretty face and a whole lot of unbelievable sex.
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: Then he told you about his new girlfriend and said things,
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: that is going great because she was who she said
- 1:02:06Speaker 8: she is inside and out. Oh she had some depth.
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: Oh she was who she said she was. See what
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: you presented, ain't what you work now. You ain't got
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: the like what Uncle Steve's saying. But and then after
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: he told you that you know what you're saying. Oh,
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: I know, I'm a total package. And his new girl
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: is around the sixth on the scale of one to ten,
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: Well the six to you, she might be off the
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: chot to him when we would argue, he said I
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: was too much. I told him to go find less
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: and he did. The argument was telling you too much?
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: You just you keep talking about all this stuff you
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: ain't he said, I was more of a dependent than
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: a partner, and I ain't bring anything to the table.
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: Oh so it seemed to me like he was saying,
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: you just came to take and you don't want to
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: give nothing. You know, relationships is give and take. It
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: can't be all get, ladies, it can't be all get.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: I got.
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: You might be special and all that, and you should be,
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: but it can't be all get, no give. Relationships is
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: give and take. Then you guess what you said to that.
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: I hate that he feels that way. Wait a minute,
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: but why do he feel that way? See you taking
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: no ownership in none of this. I know I'm a
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: total package and on scale of one to ten, she
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: is six. I hate that he feels that way. Dating
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: me was a privilege. Okay, all right, well some people Okay.
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: I know his new girlfriend's cousin. So I asked her
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: about the girl and what she has that I didn't have.
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: Her cousin said, she's a real woman.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: Uh oh uh huh. You asked her cousin, what did
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: her cousin have that you don't?
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: She said, she's a real woe, meaning somebody else, Thank
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: you fake too, somebody else, thank you shallow.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: And you ain't what you present on your IG pay.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: That cooks, cleans and caters to him. And it's not
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: just for social media. Oh you the IG girl, that's
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: who she is in real life. And there's no way
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: that I will cater to that man when we are dating.
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: Let's pump the breaks. There's no way that I will
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: cater to that man while we're dating. I told you
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: at the top of the letter. Most women that are
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: wives today are wifey before they became a wife.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: I don't understand your theory here.
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: You ain't gonna show a man no qualities about sharing,
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: giving and carry just cause y'all dating. I don't know
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: what you think the dating process is for. The dating
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: process is so y'all can get to know each other.
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: And he told you after he got to know you,
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: he found out you were shallowing. He should pay when
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: we go out and pay for all my maintenance. I
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: got he should pay when you go out, but all
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: your maintenance. Hold up, Okay, I don't mind that that
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: that he helped you out with your maintenance, But in
- 1:05:15Speaker 8: the meantime, what do he get see you can't. You
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: can't want from a man and don't give to a man.
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: I keep this is a give and take system. When
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: he puts on a ring on it, then I will
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: step up and contribute. You're not gonna get a ring.
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: You're not going to get a ring with that type
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: of theory. When he puts a ring on it, I
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: will step up and contribute. Why would he give you
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: a ring and you've made no contribution up until this point.
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: I keep telling here's something I tried to teach all
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: of my daughters and I wrote it down. You have
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: to show a man what he can get, but you
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: have to make him imagine what he can have. But
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: it's important that you have to show a man what
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: he can get. Look, I'm gonna show you this is
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: what come with me. But now if you all love it,
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: you got to imagine what you can educ.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: That dude. Got what I mean by that is a
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: dude got to go, Wow, she giving me this man.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: If I marry this girl, man, she could probably help
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: me out make my dreams come true. Man with that
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: girl would be a great mother for my kids. That's
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: what I'm talking about. Then I'll step up and contribute
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: the new girl washes his clothes, cooks for him, works
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: out with him, and even runs airs for his mama.
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: She pays to get her own hair done. Is this
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: why men are so trifling?
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: Now?
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: The women are doing more and settling for less. Am
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: I supposed to lower my standards for day? Absolutely not.
- 1:06:46Speaker 8: You should not lower your standards for date. But he
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: ain't got a lower his either, though, y'all act like
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: y'all are only one with standards. What you're looking for
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: a man? That man might be looking for that same thing.
- 1:06:59Speaker 13: Hello, all right, post your comments on today Strawberry Letter

- 1:07:25Speaker 11: Junior.
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: What you got?
- 1:07:27Speaker 12: Well, the NFL season is over, but you know what
- 1:07:29Speaker 12: you gotta go.
- 1:07:31Speaker 10: Yeah, we're gonna recap some of the awards, man, because
- 1:07:33Speaker 10: we got to give a shout out to Lamar Jackson
- 1:07:35Speaker 10: taking his second MVP of the NFL season for twenty
- 1:07:38Speaker 10: four Yeah, Lamar Jackson, man, But you know what who.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Really cleaned up?
- 1:07:42Speaker 10: The Cleveland Browns and the Houston Texas man, because like
- 1:07:45Speaker 10: a defensive Player of the Year was Miles Garrett from Cleveland.
- 1:07:49Speaker 10: Coach of the Year came from Cleveland, Kevin Stefanski, come
- 1:07:52Speaker 10: back Player of the Year, Joe Flecko clean.
- 1:07:57Speaker 12: What it was like a Cleveland and then you know,
- 1:08:00Speaker 12: Houston Texas, we didn't do too bad.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Offensive Rookie of the Year went to c. J. Stroud
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: It should as it should.
- 1:08:08Speaker 10: Offensive Player of the Year went to Christian McCaffrey from
- 1:08:10Speaker 10: San Francisco, played played the Super Bowl.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: And then Defensive Rookie of the Year.
- 1:08:15Speaker 12: Went to Will Anderson of the Houston Texas.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: That that, yeah, I think we all cleaned up.
- 1:08:20Speaker 14: We should have got Coach of the Year, though it
- 1:08:22Speaker 14: shouldn't have been Cleveland. We should have got.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: I agree with that.
- 1:08:28Speaker 11: Really, I agree with that.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Helseadvance to get Coach of the year. Well, look what
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: what we want with you want with Joe Flacco, man?
- 1:08:37Speaker 8: I mean, well, and ass he did do good because
- 1:08:40Speaker 8: we lost h Deshaun Watson, right, and that that dude.
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: Was that dude was putting together a shoestring football team
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: for a minute.
- 1:08:49Speaker 12: Then, well, you know, neither one of us was in
- 1:08:52Speaker 12: the super Bowl. Neither one of us. Neither one of

- 1:10:41Speaker 13: mad because I won't let her spend the night. It's
- 1:10:44Speaker 13: not that I do enjoy her company. She is fine
- 1:10:47Speaker 13: and we have fun together. It's just that she has
- 1:10:49Speaker 13: a job that requires her to wake up at three
- 1:10:51Speaker 13: in the morning, and I don't wake up that early
- 1:10:54Speaker 13: for any reason. I go to work at nine am,
- 1:10:57Speaker 13: and my sleep is important to me. So I told
- 1:11:01Speaker 13: her that she can stay over on Friday or Saturday nights,
- 1:11:04Speaker 13: but other than that, it'll have to be afternoon dates.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: I think I'm being.
- 1:11:08Speaker 11: Real about the situation, and she thinks I'm just tripping
- 1:11:11Speaker 11: and being mean. Am I wrong?
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Dog, you a little bit out of line. See
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: bruss brus, she gotta get up at three. You ain't

- 1:11:25Speaker 2: He must be making a lot of noise, though, he
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: must have tried these before.
- 1:11:30Speaker 8: What Nah, don't sound like they tried it. I just
- 1:11:34Speaker 8: think Brud's being a little bit more, a little extra,
- 1:11:38Speaker 8: you know, I mean mad. But see, Okay, she's good
- 1:11:42Speaker 8: enough to sleep with when she can't stay over here,
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: I feel but no, no, no, But you wouldn't feel
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: a little strange about.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: That as a woman.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'll be.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I'll be on fire about man.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: Yeah, bruh to be a little bit more accommodated.
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: I bet he's home times a week once we picked
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: the date. You won't. But I don't know, man, I
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: just think it's just you don't, eh, go to work.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna still be here, he says.
- 1:12:13Speaker 11: I don't want to wake up. Yeah, for any reason.
- 1:12:19Speaker 13: You know, she's not sleeping on the couch, crazy, he said,
- 1:12:23Speaker 13: for any reason, Steve, don't wake up at her sleep.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Come on, man, just don't go back to sleep.
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: You ain't gonna be let her get up and get
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: dressed and give your kiss on the forehead going out
- 1:12:34Speaker 8: the door.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's he says.
- 1:12:36Speaker 11: This slip is very important to him.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: Guest room or nothing.
- 1:12:40Speaker 11: She can't do that, shout Tommy, What is the point
- 1:12:43Speaker 11: in staying over. She's gonna sleep in the guest room.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Now she on the count. Why she gotta get on
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: here anyway?
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: Because you're up at three o'clock?
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: How are you grown?
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: And go to bed?
- 1:12:58Speaker 18: And now because he's got to get up at three. Yeah,

- 1:13:31Speaker 13: my boss is having everyone in our office participate in
- 1:13:34Speaker 13: a fundraiser for a charity that his wife runs. He's
- 1:13:38Speaker 13: allowing all the employees at the company to use some
- 1:13:40Speaker 13: of our worktime to dedicate to the effort and wants
- 1:13:44Speaker 13: us to donate and seek donations from our friends and family.
- 1:13:48Speaker 11: I think the.
- 1:13:48Speaker 13: Cause is worthy, but come on, also, he makes like
- 1:13:53Speaker 13: one hundred times what the average employee at our company makes.
- 1:13:57Speaker 13: If he wants to be generous, I'd rather he paid
- 1:14:00Speaker 13: us a little better. And I feel like participation is mandatory?
- 1:14:04Speaker 13: What kind of which kind of makes me mad? That
- 1:14:07Speaker 13: is mandatory? Should I make a stand or refuse?
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: Hey?
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Bru just underperformed. That's all you know. You you under
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: gil and under and undersolicit perfunds.

- 1:14:43Speaker 13: Came up, and then he wants to ask people for
- 1:14:47Speaker 13: money too, for donations.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: I'm not doing that, man.
- 1:14:51Speaker 8: I'm gonna buy your babies girl Scout cookies and then
- 1:14:53Speaker 8: after that that's it. I'm gonna just buy the box,
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: give me the whole box, all twelve boxes of the boxes,
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: and then I made my donation. Now, if your baby
- 1:15:02Speaker 8: still want to go to Disneyland, then that's.
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: So you.

- 1:17:15Speaker 13: wishes granted in five years?
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Then today? No, what's going to happen my last wish?
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: Money sham have a whole lot of that billion in
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: five years?
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: And it.
- 1:17:38Speaker 13: Would you rather have only two yellow front teeth, two
- 1:17:44Speaker 13: yellow front teeth or no teeth at all?
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: A fever just had no teeth, really had no teeth,
- 1:17:56Speaker 8: And I'll work through that. But what I'm not going
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: to do is have to them too yellow. And and
- 1:18:04Speaker 8: you didn't say if they was touching or not?
- 1:18:11Speaker 15: Just all right?
- 1:18:17Speaker 13: Would you rather send an embarrassing email to your entire
- 1:18:21Speaker 13: company or just to eat a jar of mustard?
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: Who am I embarrassed myself?
- 1:18:29Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:18:29Speaker 13: Just an email that you know you wouldn't want to
- 1:18:32Speaker 13: get out to the company, but you send it to
- 1:18:34Speaker 13: the company, the entire company.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: No, I'm gonna eat that mustard.
- 1:18:38Speaker 11: You're gonna eat an entire jar of mustard?
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I met the mustard.
- 1:18:44Speaker 12: I'm gonna send the email.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: What's that that?
- 1:18:50Speaker 8: Well, we could reet, we could reread the emails. I
- 1:18:54Speaker 8: sended a company. They put one of them in the paper.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Been there, Chicago.
- 1:19:05Speaker 11: Oh yeah that's right.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: Steve, Yeah.
- 1:19:10Speaker 7: You got. I don't know.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: I'm not eating no damn job. Must water feel about me.
- 1:19:16Speaker 8: I'm not fitna tap my guts out for no job mustard,
- 1:19:20Speaker 8: yellow muscard.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Yeah, oh jar, all right?
- 1:19:26Speaker 13: Would you rather your partner or your mate whatever be
- 1:19:31Speaker 13: hot and sexy or intelligent?
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Oh no, I'm on hot and sexy, hot and sex
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: over intelligence.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Intelligence is overrated.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: Ye need all That is a whole strawberry letter about that. Yeah,
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: I did the letter, not them two food.
- 1:19:55Speaker 11: See what's your response? What's your answer?
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: Would you rather take this intelligent woman and if.
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: I had shopping and make her hide and sexy, I'm
- 1:20:03Speaker 8: gonna take I'm gonna take an intelligent ad down here.
- 1:20:06Speaker 8: We're gonna go to the spa treatments. Went out here
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: and see a plastic surgery.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: We're gonna get a Yeah, yeah, we're gonna come on up.
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: I can get you there.
- 1:20:16Speaker 11: As long as you're smart.
- 1:20:18Speaker 13: Okay, yeah, all right, thank you, guys, that's today's roundup.
- 1:20:24Speaker 13: Would you rather coming up in forty nine minutes after
- 1:20:27Speaker 13: the hour, it's our last break of the day, and
- 1:20:28Speaker 13: we'll close out the show with the one and only
- 1:20:31Speaker 13: Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:36Speaker 13: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:20:39Speaker 13: day on this Tuesday, and Steve, Yeah.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: I got some closing remarks today. Yeah, I want to
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: talk to people today.
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: You know, I've often said that the life I've had,
- 1:20:53Speaker 8: I used to didn't understand why God was allowing certain
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: things to happen to me. Later, as I got older
- 1:21:00Speaker 8: and it started to unfold, I started to learning that
- 1:21:04Speaker 8: God's ways was as high above mine as the heavens
- 1:21:10Speaker 8: is above the earth. I started learning that He's a
- 1:21:14Speaker 8: mysterious God, that he works in mysterious ways. And so
- 1:21:19Speaker 8: as my life unfolded and I look back on it,
- 1:21:23Speaker 8: I can now recognize why I had to go through
- 1:21:26Speaker 8: some of the things I went through in order to
- 1:21:28Speaker 8: be in the position that I'm in today. You can't
- 1:21:32Speaker 8: share what you don't know, you can't deal what you
- 1:21:34Speaker 8: never had. So a lot of my life, as well
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: as your life, had to happen in order for you
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: to get into the position that you're in today. Now
- 1:21:45Speaker 8: I'm saying all that because I have a role in
- 1:21:50Speaker 8: my life, I have a calling that's been put on
- 1:21:53Speaker 8: my life to do just that. God really did design
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: me to be more than funny, even though that was
- 1:22:02Speaker 8: the initial gift, and it has served me well.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: It has allowed me to have a lifestyle far beyond
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: my dreams. All that by but by the grace of God.
- 1:22:12Speaker 17: Uh.
- 1:22:12Speaker 8: But it's because attended to that gift too. Whatever gift
- 1:22:16Speaker 8: God has given you, you have to tend to it.
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: You have to you have to you have to put
- 1:22:21Speaker 8: some effort into it, you have to put some thanks
- 1:22:23Speaker 8: into it. God's gift to you is your gift. Your
- 1:22:27Speaker 8: gift back to God is the use of that gift.
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: And so what I've tried to do in not being
- 1:22:34Speaker 8: just a comedian, I branched out into so many things.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: Now my role on the radio has widened.
- 1:22:43Speaker 8: You know, our show, The Steve Harvey Morning Show, serves
- 1:22:47Speaker 8: a few purposes. It is an entertainment show. It is
- 1:22:52Speaker 8: an informative information show. It is an inspirational show, and
- 1:23:00Speaker 8: it is a motivational show. That is our aim every
- 1:23:03Speaker 8: day to accomplish one of those four things. The Steve
- 1:23:07Speaker 8: Harvey Morning Show with Shirley Strawberry and Colin for Real,
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: Junior and Thomas. That's the mission every day. That's the
- 1:23:13Speaker 8: mission of our producer, Mississippi Monica. That's our mission.
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: That's Dave on board, Cat on board, Crystal on board,
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: all of this. Everybody's mission is to do that. That's
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: the team here.
- 1:23:25Speaker 8: In doing this, we try to be crystal clear about
- 1:23:29Speaker 8: our objectives. Now, even in trying to be crystal clear,
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: do we get misunderstood?
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: Of course we do. Of course we do, because you
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: are dealing with us and we are human beings. We
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: are no more than you. We are human being and
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: we make mistakes.
- 1:23:45Speaker 8: Some of us have shared our mistakes with you publicly.
- 1:23:50Speaker 8: It hopes that sharing our experiences you can see some
- 1:23:55Speaker 8: of you in us and in our failures, our mistake,
- 1:24:00Speaker 8: our missteps. Maybe in sharing it it will allow you
- 1:24:05Speaker 8: to see that, look, ain't nobody perfect here. That we're
- 1:24:09Speaker 8: human too. But in all of the mistakes and failures,
- 1:24:12Speaker 8: you've got to keep getting back up.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: And that's the mission of this show.
- 1:24:19Speaker 8: It saddens me when I find out people don't understand
- 1:24:23Speaker 8: what we're trying to do because we are so blatant
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: with it.
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: But listen to me.
- 1:24:28Speaker 8: When I share with you my personal experience, it's because
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: I want you to see in me what God has
- 1:24:36Speaker 8: done for me. Because God has lifted me and kept
- 1:24:40Speaker 8: me above it all. It don't mean that things don't
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: bother me. See Isaiah forty three one and two talks
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: about that if you have a relationship with God, that
- 1:24:52Speaker 8: you can walk through the waters and not be drowned.
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: That you can go through the fire and the fire
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: will not be overcome you.
- 1:25:01Speaker 8: Now, when you could come through it the fire, there
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: would be no signs of soot or kindling on your clothing.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: That's a promise by God.
- 1:25:11Speaker 8: But if I try to share with you a personal
- 1:25:13Speaker 8: experience to show you that, try to understand that this
- 1:25:18Speaker 8: is for those people that need to hear that type
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: of information. It bothers me when people don't understand the
- 1:25:26Speaker 8: right way and the intent.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: But sometimes I expose to.
- 1:25:31Speaker 8: You how I feel about a situation. I expose to
- 1:25:34Speaker 8: you how I'm handling a situation. I'm exposing to you
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: what has done to me so you can see that
- 1:25:41Speaker 8: if you keep your faith in God, he'll maintain you
- 1:25:44Speaker 8: through it all. And that's simply it. It's nothing more,
- 1:25:49Speaker 8: you know, But please understand, give us a little bit
- 1:25:52Speaker 8: of grace to allow us to be human beings on
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: this show. We are not perfect. Ain't no Lord and
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: Saviors here. We all looking at the same Lord and
- 1:26:02Speaker 8: savior you looking at. We all need it. We all
- 1:26:06Speaker 8: need God's grace and mercy. We all need to go
- 1:26:09Speaker 8: through His son. Look we got it. So y'all give
