- 1:41Speaker 3: You probably got to turn the mouth of the money up.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Come come on.
- 1:56Speaker 6: You're thinking, uh huh yo will good morning everybody. You're
- 2:02Speaker 6: listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now, one
- 2:05Speaker 6: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Well, nothing changes about that. Nothing changes about that.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:14Speaker 7: I was just so getting ready to come on the
- 2:17Speaker 7: air this morning. I was just thinking, man, I was
- 2:22Speaker 7: just having a reflective moment of just how really good
- 2:26Speaker 7: God has been to me. I just it's it's it's man.
- 2:33Speaker 7: Let me just say that again, how really good God
- 2:36Speaker 7: has been to me. And here's a cold part. In
- 2:40Speaker 7: spite of myself, you understand, in spite of all my shortcomings,
- 2:46Speaker 7: in spite of all of my flaws.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And and and and in.
- 2:51Speaker 7: Spite of all of what anybody has said about me, God,
- 2:56Speaker 7: through his grace and mercy, just keeps me anyway. So
- 3:00Speaker 7: many of us are exceptional people, but we refuse.
- 3:09Speaker 1: To just go ahead and be exceptional.
- 3:11Speaker 7: We settle for the ordinary, We follow the pack, we
- 3:18Speaker 7: try to fit in. Man, oh man, oh man. You
- 3:21Speaker 7: know I've heard my wife say this to my children
- 3:24Speaker 7: all the time. When she's scolding my talking to him,
- 3:27Speaker 7: she'll be talking to him about leadership. You know, why
- 3:30Speaker 7: are you following everybody when God clearly made you to lead?
- 3:33Speaker 7: So many of us are born, and so many of
- 3:36Speaker 7: you are born to be exceptional people, but we always
- 3:41Speaker 7: trying to follow the pack. Why would you try to
- 3:44Speaker 7: fit in? Why would you try to be like everybody
- 3:49Speaker 7: else be ordinary? Why would you follow the pack when
- 3:54Speaker 7: God has created you to be exceptional? The key word
- 3:58Speaker 7: in exceptional is accept you. You ever did this right here?
- 4:03Speaker 8: You know?
- 4:03Speaker 7: Everybody did that accept me. Everybody felt that way except me.
- 4:11Speaker 7: Everybody said that except me. Everybody won't wanted that, accept me.
- 4:17Speaker 7: Everybody went over there except me. Everybody jumped in except
- 4:22Speaker 7: me except me. See why have you said that in
- 4:27Speaker 7: your life? If you were not to be exceptional? See
- 4:32Speaker 7: you got to say everybody except me at one point
- 4:34Speaker 7: in Yo, ta, I don't know who ain't done it?
- 4:37Speaker 7: You know everybody wanted everybody voted no except me. See
- 4:42Speaker 7: so you're not You're not created to follow the pack.
- 4:46Speaker 7: You ain't created to fit in. You ain't created to, uh,
- 4:50Speaker 7: you know, to be ordinary. You were created to be exceptional,
- 4:54Speaker 7: as exceptional as your fingerprint on your finger is. You
- 4:58Speaker 7: were created to be exceptional. Why not make this the
- 5:01Speaker 7: year that you go head on and be exceptional? Why
- 5:06Speaker 7: won't this be the year that you decide in your mind?
- 5:10Speaker 7: But just has to be a decision that we make. Now,
- 5:12Speaker 7: were not following the pack no more? We not trying
- 5:16Speaker 7: to fit in, no more. We ain't settling for ordinary
- 5:19Speaker 7: no more. We're gonna be exceptional. But you know you
- 5:23Speaker 7: got to go ahead and follow that. You got to
- 5:25Speaker 7: get on the exceptional path, because that's what you were
- 5:28Speaker 7: created for.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Why be ordinary? You know?
- 5:31Speaker 7: But all of this this comes It has to start
- 5:33Speaker 7: with a thought. You got to first think something. Thoughts
- 5:39Speaker 7: become things. A man is as he thinketh that's all
- 5:43Speaker 7: you'll ever be. So what are your thoughts today? Why
- 5:47Speaker 7: not have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts? Why not
- 5:51Speaker 7: have exceptional thoughts instead of fitting in thoughts?
- 5:54Speaker 8: So?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Why you want to be like everybody else?
- 5:56Speaker 7: Why you want to be ordinary when you could possibly
- 5:59Speaker 7: be a extraordinary with a change of your mind, a
- 6:03Speaker 7: change of your venue, and you don't have to be
- 6:06Speaker 7: any other kind of way just because my mama was this, well,
- 6:09Speaker 7: my daddy was this way, or this, this school I
- 6:12Speaker 7: went to, This is what race I belonged to, This
- 6:14Speaker 7: is my sexual preference, this is my this, this is
- 6:17Speaker 7: my dad?
- 6:18Speaker 1: How many? How many? How many excuses you need? I mean,
- 6:21Speaker 1: I'm any excuse?
- 6:22Speaker 9: What?
- 6:22Speaker 1: What? What? What?
- 6:23Speaker 7: What's it gonna be this year that we let another
- 6:26Speaker 7: three hundred and sixty five days slip by without improving
- 6:30Speaker 7: our condition, our place, our spot, our life, the quality
- 6:35Speaker 7: of life we have. We cannot afford to keep letting
- 6:40Speaker 7: all these years go by without changing. You're an exceptional person.
- 6:47Speaker 7: How many times have you set up and said, everybody
- 6:50Speaker 7: did that? Accept me? You know I was on everybody
- 6:54Speaker 7: jumped in except me. I told him I knew it.
- 6:58Speaker 7: Everybody voted for that except me. And now look at it, man,
- 7:03Speaker 7: it seemed like everybody went that way, accept me.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Okay, do you get it?
- 7:10Speaker 7: Do you understand what's being said to you that all
- 7:14Speaker 7: accept me is because couldn't it be? Because you're an
- 7:17Speaker 7: exceptional person and it's time for you to take control
- 7:21Speaker 7: of that. It's time for you to start thinking different.
- 7:23Speaker 7: It's time for you to start acting on what you think.
- 7:26Speaker 7: It's time for you to start doing something about it.
- 7:29Speaker 7: It's time for you to stop taking each and every
- 7:31Speaker 7: day that God gives us for granted and letting them
- 7:34Speaker 7: go by the wayside.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Like you got plenty more.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Well, you may have plenty more, but guess what what
- 7:40Speaker 7: you wasting the ones you got for?
- 7:43Speaker 1: I got you.
- 7:44Speaker 7: Young, and you feel like you're gonna live forever. Eah, okay, cool,
- 7:48Speaker 7: But let me ask you something. See here go the
- 7:50Speaker 7: part about it. I suppose you do live. See see,
- 7:54Speaker 7: everybody worried about dying. But I got news for you.
- 7:56Speaker 7: Suppose you keep on living. You want to keep living
- 7:59Speaker 7: in the condition now. You want to keep living with
- 8:02Speaker 7: the money you got. Now, you want to keep living
- 8:04Speaker 7: with the relationship you got now. You want to keep
- 8:07Speaker 7: living by yourself like you are now. You want to
- 8:09Speaker 7: keep wanting the right relationship, the right man to the
- 8:12Speaker 7: right woman, but you keep getting the wrong one. You
- 8:14Speaker 7: wanna keep doing that for the rest of your life.
- 8:16Speaker 7: Problem ain't dying. There's problem is if you keep on living.
- 8:20Speaker 7: Who wants to keep.
- 8:21Speaker 1: On living just the way they are right now.
- 8:24Speaker 7: And if you can say I'm cool, what I am
- 8:26Speaker 7: just the way I am right now in cool, this
- 8:28Speaker 7: conversation ain't for you. I ain't got no problem with that,
- 8:31Speaker 7: you know. You know to say, greatness ain't for everybody.
- 8:35Speaker 7: Being exceptional ain't for everybody. Becoming extraordinary ain't for everybody. Heck,
- 8:40Speaker 7: becoming successful ain't for everybody.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I got it.
- 8:44Speaker 7: And you can come up with a way to justify
- 8:46Speaker 7: your non existence and your ordinary life all you want,
- 8:50Speaker 7: and that's fine, and Daddy, I ain't got no problem
- 8:52Speaker 7: with it. Because some people just gonna be regular. Some
- 8:55Speaker 7: people just gonna follow the pack, follow the crowd. Some
- 8:58Speaker 7: people just want to fit in. But if you're not
- 9:02Speaker 7: that person, if you want to be extraordinary, if you
- 9:05Speaker 7: want to be exceptional, if you want to be if
- 9:08Speaker 7: you want a dad or be great at something, and
- 9:10Speaker 7: you got to change your mindset. You got to get
- 9:13Speaker 7: what your creator and find out what he created you for.
- 9:15Speaker 7: You got to quit thinking of things just in your
- 9:18Speaker 7: own thought process. You know, lean not to your own understanding.
- 9:22Speaker 7: I don't know where that is, but it's in there somewhere.
- 9:24Speaker 7: Seeing Once you lean, if you lean to your own understanding,
- 9:28Speaker 7: you know what it is gonna do. It's gonna limit you, man,
- 9:30Speaker 7: it's gonna limit you. Why not see what God got
- 9:33Speaker 7: for you. I would rather know what God got for
- 9:36Speaker 7: me than to think of all the things I could,
- 9:38Speaker 7: because I can't out think him out and tried it before.
- 9:41Speaker 1: All right, it's just the beginning. We're gonna have a
- 9:43Speaker 1: good one.
- 9:44Speaker 8: Man.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 9:45Speaker 10: You're listening.
- 9:47Speaker 7: Show, ladies and gentlemen. Well, I'm at a loss today.
- 9:54Speaker 7: I've tried everything to get you listen. If you do
- 9:58Speaker 7: not realize that today is a gift, a blessing and honor,
- 10:01Speaker 7: a privilege.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I can't keep telling it to you every day.
- 10:05Speaker 7: Now, come on, at one point in time, we all
- 10:07Speaker 7: got to go, you know what he right about that?
- 10:10Speaker 7: Or I might be able to say, hey, y'all right
- 10:12Speaker 7: about that? He is, but he worthy. I don't know
- 10:14Speaker 7: what else to tell you. He's just worthy. He all that.
- 10:17Speaker 7: So I give thanks and honor to God, my creator.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Now you join in, man, have some gratitude. We're gonna
- 10:23Speaker 7: have a good one today.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Man. I'm all set up now.
- 10:25Speaker 7: It depends highly on this first question we get from
- 10:29Speaker 7: our sports castle today. But we'll get into that in
- 10:32Speaker 7: just a moment, ladies and gentlemen surely start being called
- 10:35Speaker 7: for real Mississippi Monicca Junior and the legend that is
- 10:39Speaker 7: Nephew Tommy.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Well, here we go.
- 10:41Speaker 7: A lot of our days start off with this dude
- 10:44Speaker 7: right here and what's on his mind?
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Junior, what's going on today?
- 10:51Speaker 11: Well, unc, let me just ask you a question.

- 11:40Speaker 1: Then then your music come on turn.
- 11:42Speaker 7: Flashback and then that's that's your thing. Thing surely's or
- 11:48Speaker 7: super surely super power would be the inability to cook.

- 16:49Speaker 13: I have to call the man out here to fix it,
- 16:51Speaker 13: and that's gonna cost some money. I have to pay him.
- 16:54Speaker 13: All I'm saying is if that is the case, if
- 16:57Speaker 13: the paperwork is incorrect, it's not on us, and I
- 16:59Speaker 13: might have charge you a little extra money just so
- 17:02Speaker 13: I can.
- 17:02Speaker 15: Get it taken.

- 17:31Speaker 2: and does up.
- 17:31Speaker 15: Now, I'll tell you what, virgie, You're not gonna put
- 17:34Speaker 15: me in no hole. Man like I say it, I
- 17:36Speaker 15: tell it.
- 17:37Speaker 13: I'm trying to talk to you and tell you what
- 17:40Speaker 13: the dead is and how we will get this fixed.
- 17:43Speaker 13: Ain't nobody come out here and dig it up nothing.
- 17:45Speaker 14: I'll be cast the loss, I bet you there.
- 17:47Speaker 2: I bet you I'm digging up a home and I'm
- 17:49Speaker 2: putting your in it if you don't fix my handy tones.
- 17:51Speaker 13: And we both be going in the damn hole. That's
- 17:53Speaker 13: what's gonna happen.
- 17:54Speaker 2: So we're both going in that end because somebody I
- 17:57Speaker 2: want to fix, mess around and put the wrong date
- 18:00Speaker 2: to put the shutter spill on my head and everything.

- 22:59Speaker 10: with me because my son's mother claimed my son on
- 23:03Speaker 10: her taxes, even though my son lives with me full time.
- 23:06Speaker 10: My wife wants things to change. We make good money,
- 23:09Speaker 10: so why is this bothering her?
- 23:14Speaker 1: Wait? Wait a minute, bro, that was a little blurry.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I don't understand. I got my what I got married

- 23:29Speaker 10: A problem the son's mother.
- 23:31Speaker 7: Here's the problem if your ex wife is paying child support,
- 23:37Speaker 7: baby mama. If if your son's mother is paying child
- 23:41Speaker 7: support and she don't want to write this boy off.
- 23:46Speaker 5: She sons.

- 24:05Speaker 10: and now he has a new wife, and she's upset
- 24:08Speaker 10: that the boy's mother is claiming him on her taxes?
- 24:14Speaker 10: Does she even though the boy lives with them full time?
- 24:18Speaker 1: Right? The boy can live with her full time? But no, yeah,
- 24:22Speaker 1: she don't pay no child support.
- 24:25Speaker 10: She doesn't pay. No, it doesn't say anything like that.
- 24:27Speaker 8: No, no child support.
- 24:30Speaker 10: It doesn't say anything about child support. The boy lives
- 24:34Speaker 10: with his father and the new wife full time.
- 24:37Speaker 7: Okay, the wife is mad because the mother of the
- 24:41Speaker 7: child claiming the boy on her taxes.

- 24:46Speaker 7: Saying is, since this is not in the letter, if
- 24:49Speaker 7: the mother is paying child support, she's gonna claim it.
- 24:54Speaker 1: But if she's not paying.
- 24:55Speaker 7: Child support, could be the reason why the new wife
- 24:59Speaker 7: is made because why you're letting her claim this boy
- 25:03Speaker 7: and we taking full good care of him and he
- 25:06Speaker 7: going watch she tripping?
- 25:07Speaker 1: We make good money, right, That's what I mean, I know,

- 25:31Speaker 7: I got the son here, go and claim him on
- 25:34Speaker 7: your attack and then you know, just give me my
- 25:37Speaker 7: boy and then and then we ain't got to be

- 53:09Speaker 10: Thank you nephew, He let the two girls sleep over.
- 53:12Speaker 10: That is a subject. Dear, Stephen Shirley. I'm thirty eight
- 53:16Speaker 10: years old and my husband is forty two. We've been
- 53:19Speaker 10: married for six years, and his business has taken off
- 53:22Speaker 10: in the past three years. He used to be a
- 53:24Speaker 10: club promoter and now he owns a lounge with three
- 53:27Speaker 10: other guys. I was scared to date a man that's
- 53:30Speaker 10: always in the streets, but he's proven that he's just
- 53:33Speaker 10: out to get the bag and bring it home so
- 53:35Speaker 10: he can spoil me. I trusted him until this past weekend.
- 53:40Speaker 10: It was his birthday weekend, so his partners threw him
- 53:43Speaker 10: an all white party. I went on home around one
- 53:46Speaker 10: thirty am. He came in around three am and crashed
- 53:49Speaker 10: in all of his clothes. I woke up around nine
- 53:52Speaker 10: am to the sound of running water. I woke my
- 53:55Speaker 10: husband up and he said it was his two home
- 53:58Speaker 10: girls upstairs getting ready to head out to a graduation.
- 54:03Speaker 10: I was like, what home girls and what graduation? He
- 54:06Speaker 10: told me to trust him on this one. Instead of
- 54:09Speaker 10: getting mad, he told me to go with him to
- 54:11Speaker 10: meet the girls. We went up to our guest bedroom
- 54:14Speaker 10: and I was surprised to see two gorgeous women wrapped
- 54:17Speaker 10: in two of my best towels. They greeted me with
- 54:20Speaker 10: big smiles. They were just as sweet as they were cute.
- 54:24Speaker 10: They thanked us for letting them get a few hours
- 54:26Speaker 10: of sleep and said they would be leaving town after
- 54:29Speaker 10: the graduation. I wanted to be mad, but I couldn't be.
- 54:32Speaker 10: My husband told me that one of the girls is
- 54:34Speaker 10: the daughter of a guy he went to school with,
- 54:36Speaker 10: and they planned to stay with a friend, but she
- 54:39Speaker 10: ghosted them. I find this story hard to believe. I
- 54:42Speaker 10: don't think my husband is even aware of how dangerous
- 54:46Speaker 10: it was to have strangers in our home, or were
- 54:49Speaker 10: they even strangers. Why didn't he call me to ask
- 54:52Speaker 10: me first? Because it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Okay,
- 54:57Speaker 10: he knows that had he called you first, you would
- 55:00Speaker 10: have said absolutely not, And who could blame you? What
- 55:04Speaker 10: would that even sound like? Look like, hey, baby, I'm
- 55:07Speaker 10: coming home and I'm bringing guests, two beautiful young women
- 55:09Speaker 10: to spend the night. What No, No, like you. I
- 55:14Speaker 10: do find this story very hard to believe, but it's
- 55:17Speaker 10: so crazy, It is so out there, so preposterous that
- 55:21Speaker 10: he could be telling the truth in this instance. Steve said,
- 55:24Speaker 10: all you need is reasonable doubt with a good lie,
- 55:27Speaker 10: because what husband would be stupid enough to bring two
- 55:30Speaker 10: random chicks to his house to spend the night knowing
- 55:33Speaker 10: his wife is there? Is he that drunk? I mean
- 55:36Speaker 10: on his birthday night? This is a very dangerous situation.
- 55:40Speaker 10: What wife is going to say yes to any of this?
- 55:43Speaker 10: The question is if one of these girls was the
- 55:47Speaker 10: daughter of someone you went to school with, why couldn't
- 55:49Speaker 10: she stay with her dad? Where was he? Or why
- 55:52Speaker 10: couldn't they stay with one of his other friends, one
- 55:54Speaker 10: of your husband's other friends, or one of his three
- 55:57Speaker 10: business partners. Your husband asked you to trust him on this,
- 56:01Speaker 10: but you need a whole lot of more information. There
- 56:05Speaker 10: are huge holes in this story. A lot of things
- 56:07Speaker 10: are left out. You said you were hesitant to marry
- 56:10Speaker 10: your husband in the first place because he was in
- 56:12Speaker 10: the streets, But so far he hasn't done anything to
- 56:15Speaker 10: make you not trust him until now. But all you
- 56:19Speaker 10: need is one time, right you left the party at
- 56:21Speaker 10: one thirty am. You need to find out exactly what
- 56:24Speaker 10: happened after that and until three am when your husband
- 56:27Speaker 10: finally made it home.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Steve, I loved him.
- 56:33Speaker 10: You don't care, No, I really care.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Fellas you know, I try to help y'all. I really do.
- 56:45Speaker 7: I go above and beyond to try to come up
- 56:48Speaker 7: with something create to help y'all.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Y'all making it hard. Oh, y'all making it hard? What
- 56:57Speaker 1: the hell?
- 56:58Speaker 3: Okay on?
- 57:01Speaker 1: I mean, dog, I'm trying to Damn dog.
- 57:08Speaker 7: I can't do none of this. I can't do none
- 57:12Speaker 7: of this. I can't say this to my wife. I
- 57:16Speaker 7: can't do none of this. Matter of fact, nobody I
- 57:18Speaker 7: know can do this. Okay, here's the problem. You used
- 57:23Speaker 7: to be a club owner promoter. Now you got another
- 57:27Speaker 7: bee as that's going on. And I guess he used
- 57:30Speaker 7: to just be a club promoter. I'm sorry. Now he
- 57:34Speaker 7: owns a lounge with three other guys. Oh lord, mercy,
- 57:40Speaker 7: club owner just got trouble written all over it. It
- 57:44Speaker 7: just ain't no way round it. And so now here
- 57:47Speaker 7: we go. You got these partners. You had a birthday party.
- 57:52Speaker 7: They throw all white party for you. You go to
- 57:55Speaker 7: the all white party for his birthday. You leave it,
- 57:58Speaker 7: go home round one point thirty, show up at the
- 58:00Speaker 7: house at three m crashed in all his clothes. All right,
- 58:05Speaker 7: so far this story he.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Ain't going that bad. So far not bad.
- 58:11Speaker 7: You woke up around nine a m. Nine in the
- 58:15Speaker 7: morning to the sound of running water. Where's your husband at?
- 58:23Speaker 1: At this point does it say in the letter Shirley,
- 58:29Speaker 1: where is he at?
- 58:30Speaker 10: He came home.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Crashed in all his clothes, woke up at nine? Where
- 58:38Speaker 1: was he at?
- 58:40Speaker 2: Well?
- 58:40Speaker 10: He was downstairs because the two homegirls were upstairs getting ready.
- 58:44Speaker 1: So he must still be in his clothes. Okay, that's
- 58:48Speaker 1: good news.
- 58:51Speaker 7: I woke my husband up and he said was it
- 58:54Speaker 7: was his two home girls upstairs getting ready to head
- 58:58Speaker 7: out the graduation.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Home girls and friend's daughter.
- 59:05Speaker 7: Ain shouldn't be in the same since hang on, that's
- 59:10Speaker 7: the problem. Yeah, I can't fix this for you.
- 59:13Speaker 10: We'll have part two of your response coming up, Steve
- 59:15Speaker 10: at twenty three minutes after the hour, Lord Willen Today's
- 59:19Speaker 10: Strawberry letter, subject he let the two girls sleep over.
- 59:24Speaker 10: We'll get back into it and find out what this
- 59:27Speaker 10: is all about. Right after this.
- 59:28Speaker 16: You're listening hard morning show.
- 59:32Speaker 10: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 59:34Speaker 10: The subject is he let the two girls sleep over.
- 59:38Speaker 1: I feel so bad. I don't know what to do.
- 59:40Speaker 7: He forty you thirty eight, He forty two you thirty eight.
- 59:45Speaker 7: You go to his all white birthday party at this
- 59:47Speaker 7: lounge he owned with his two homies. They throw all
- 59:50Speaker 7: white party for imports birthday. You lead a party. At
- 59:53Speaker 7: one point thirty he come in. Around three thirty. He
- 59:56Speaker 7: fall asleep downstairs in all his clothes. Been a hell
- 59:59Speaker 7: of a night, hell of a party, y'all sleep. At
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: around nine o'clock in the morning, you hear running water. Okay,
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: you hit this running water. You go downstairs, wake him up.
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: He tells you it's his two home girls upstairs, getting
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: ready to head out to a graduation. What there's two
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: women in the house upstairs running water?
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Say it again. I'm just dog.
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: This is so impossible for me. And I don't apologize
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: to the fellas because I usually try to be there
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: for you.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: What What did you just say?
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: Wait a minute, it's two home girls? Whatpstairs? What they
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: take the shot and getting ready to go out to
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: a graduation?
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: What homegirl?
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: What?
- 1:00:54Speaker 10: What graduation?
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: And then I said, what home girls? What graduation? He
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: told me, trust him on this one. Instead of getting mad,
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: horror bit me, trust me on this here. Instead of
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: instead of getting mad mad, the shock, the horror, with
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: the amazement, the unbelief, instead of He told me to
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: go with him to meet the girl.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Come on up here with me. Boy, what this is?
- 1:01:22Speaker 10: Not proud of him? At this point, Steve, come on
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: up here.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: And meet him with me?
- 1:01:29Speaker 11: Oh man.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: We went up to our guest bedroom.
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: I was surprised to see two gorgeous women wrapped in
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: two of my best tiles. They greeted me with big smiles.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: They were just as sweet as they were cute.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Hey, hey girl, how you doing? You just Chante's wife?
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Hi?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: They thanked me for letting him get a few hours
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: sleep and said they will be leaving town after the graduation.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: What graduation y'all keep talking about?
- 1:02:13Speaker 10: Where is this graduation?
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: Because all we was was at the all white party?
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: What what graduation y'all keep talking about? I wanted to
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: be mad, but I couldn't be. My husband told me
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: that one of the girls is the daughter of a
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: guy he went to school with, and they planned to
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: stay with a friend, but she goes to them.

- 1:09:00Speaker 16: Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:09:06Speaker 10: This is from Ava on Steve Harvey FM. Ava says,
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: next month, my ex boyfriend is getting married, but he's
- 1:09:12Speaker 10: asked from my blessing to go through with his wedding.
- 1:09:15Speaker 10: We got separated when I moved to Washington State for
- 1:09:18Speaker 10: five years. The distance wasn't good for us. He has
- 1:09:21Speaker 10: professed his love for me every day since I moved
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: back home. I love him and I know we'd have
- 1:09:27Speaker 10: a great life. But what about his fiance? I would
- 1:09:30Speaker 10: hate to ruin her life. He is waiting for my
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: answer and this is way too much pressure. Would it
- 1:09:36Speaker 10: be selfish to get my man back? Or should I
- 1:09:38Speaker 10: give him my blessing to get married.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: I know exactly what's happening. I'm just trying to figure
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: out how what'll put it okay.
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: This guy, he's still in love with dis Wilting, but
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: he's a good guy. So what he's trying to do
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: is I know I messed over her because we were separate.
- 1:09:59Speaker 7: I wouldn't get this new chick. Let me ask her
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: if I can get her blessings. If she say no,
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: that means she still loved me, and I'm gonna walk
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: away from this chick. But I don't want to walk
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: away from this chick, and she don't want nothing to
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: do with me. So let me ask her to give
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: me hurt my blessing.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: That's what that is.
- 1:10:20Speaker 10: Yeah, but it's not like the girl. The ex doesn't
- 1:10:25Speaker 10: want him. She's concerned about.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: The He don't know that. He don't know that. I'm listening.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Sometimes harder and listen.
- 1:10:37Speaker 10: I'm not one of your children.
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: Surely he's trying to test the water. He don't know,
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: So he's throwing this shumming in the water.
- 1:10:50Speaker 9: You know what that is.
- 1:10:51Speaker 7: No, he's throwing this bait in the water. Yeah, to
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: see if he can get some nibble. Okay, And now
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: she's she don't. Both of these are good people that
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: have made a simple mistake. He jumped the gun, he
- 1:11:05Speaker 7: let the distance get in the way, and now he
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: walking away because there was no distance. But now, guess what.
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: He want this girl back. But he don't know if
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: the girl want him back. So now let me throw
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: this up to her. I'll get married if you give
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: me your blessing. If she say no, he goes, oh damn,
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: she still loved I don't really want to marry this girl,
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: no way. But he don't want to hurt her like that,
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: and she don't want to hurt.
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: Her like that.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: That's what the deal is right there. Okay, what is
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: about that that you are questions to you? Cheryl?
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: I get it.
- 1:11:45Speaker 10: I told you, I got it.
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: I got it.
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: She played beautifully the first time. All I said was,
- 1:11:52Speaker 10: you're right. The girl his ex is concerned about the
- 1:11:55Speaker 10: fiance too, That's all I said.
- 1:11:58Speaker 16: What was wrong with that of it?
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Because that's not what you said. But go ahead with that,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: is what I said.
- 1:12:07Speaker 10: Go ahead, it's here. Well, by the way, we have
- 1:12:11Speaker 10: time for another one. This is from Tommy in Chicago.
- 1:12:14Speaker 10: Kemmy says, I got a special recognition at work for
- 1:12:16Speaker 10: being a top seller. Look, and there was a small
- 1:12:18Speaker 10: celebration after the awards program. My husband did not show
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: up and he didn't answer his phone. He said he
- 1:12:24Speaker 10: got busy at work and it wasn't that big of
- 1:12:26Speaker 10: a deal. I am so hurt that he doesn't think
- 1:12:29Speaker 10: the work that I do is important. How do I
- 1:12:32Speaker 10: get him to respect me and what I do? Is
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: it because I make more money than him?
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Well, it depends on what you do. Let's just be honest. Now,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: if you top fry cook of the week, do you
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: probably know.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: What you know what?
- 1:12:52Speaker 10: And she makes more money than him, Well, you know, he.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Just might be. You know, he might be. Looks it
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: sounds to me like.
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: Mm hmm.
- 1:13:06Speaker 7: Her appreciation and recognition the lady Walt's appreciation.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Yeah, he feels as though the job gave you that
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: what you need me for, which is a mistake on you.
- 1:13:19Speaker 10: Don't think she wants support from her husband while she's
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: getting the.
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: Sear Your ear buds don't work for I know, I know,
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: I know. Okay nine, neither one of y'all listeners.
- 1:13:32Speaker 10: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:13:34Speaker 10: more Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Both of y'all ass is crazy a hater?
- 1:13:42Speaker 10: You're listening Harvey Morning Show. Do you guys stress out
- 1:13:47Speaker 10: over money? That's the question. According to a new money
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: and Mental Health survey, forty seven percent of Americans say
- 1:13:54Speaker 10: that wording over money is negatively impacting their mental health.
- 1:13:58Speaker 10: Money related stress worries us more so than current events, relationships,
- 1:14:03Speaker 10: and our physical health. Sixty five percent of the people
- 1:14:06Speaker 10: surveyed ex cited that the rising cost of everyday items
- 1:14:10Speaker 10: is the main cause of our stress.
- 1:14:12Speaker 16: Is this true?
- 1:14:13Speaker 10: Do you stress over money? Like? Do you remember when
- 1:14:16Speaker 10: a carton of eggs was seven dollars? It's about that.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: A dozen eggs is seven dollars.
- 1:14:25Speaker 10: It's high though everything is high, though everything is yeah higher?
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Right, Well, yeah, people are stress about money, of course.
- 1:14:33Speaker 11: Uh huh.
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: That's a huge stress factor. I'm just now learning. I'm
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: just learning to trust in God more than ever before.
- 1:14:43Speaker 7: I'm just learning that because He has always provided. But
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: it never stopped me from worrying. I've over worried myself
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: so many times because I'm the breadwinner, I'm the providers.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: It's kind of hard not to worry about that.
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: But the stronger relationship I have with God, the better
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: I'm getting at not worrying about it. But I can
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: tell you for a fact, if you are responsible for
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: the lives of other people had, it will produce some
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: worry until you can get that other relationship playing up.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Up.

- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Come on now, I will ride. I will ride a
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Willie all the way down.
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: No, see, I'm gonna just have to touch a ride
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: with my axe and open that window and hang my
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: head out the whole way.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I'm not getting on that bike on that day. Full five.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: You're not gonna make it.
- 1:16:37Speaker 8: Yeah.

- 1:16:40Speaker 8: Right?
- 1:16:42Speaker 10: For Father's Day, would you rather a gift card to
- 1:16:46Speaker 10: your favorite store or a special gift for.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: One of them? I want a special gift.
- 1:16:55Speaker 16: Uh huh.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I'm just all right.
- 1:16:57Speaker 7: I'm telling you right now, for the first time ever,
- 1:17:00Speaker 7: I have texted my children, the ones that I know
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: Mike cans buy me something, uh huh, and told them
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: exactly what I wanted. And thank you Tommy because you
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: gave it to me yesterday. And that's what I'm requesting
- 1:17:12Speaker 7: from all my children.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: And tell me how much was it?
- 1:17:17Speaker 10: Do you know?
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Few? Honey, it ain't that much. That's all I'm asking for.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: That's all I want, man, just day for you. Man,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: you know what many don't get that really what.
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: We had.
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna tell you right now, this is the
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: last last damn Father's Day. I'm getting pimped.
- 1:17:46Speaker 10: Last year.
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: Yes, no, but this is gonna be it right here.
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: This is it because I've text them. I text them
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: all and told them exactly what I want. I sent
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: him the picture Tommy showed it to me. Tommy said, man,
- 1:17:58Speaker 7: this is dope.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I looked at that. I said, cool, this is what
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: I want. Cool.
- 1:18:03Speaker 10: Okay, you got a lot of kids, so you're probably Yeah,
- 1:18:06Speaker 10: you might have a good Father's Day this year.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: If I get three of them, I'll be fine, all right.
- 1:18:13Speaker 10: And thank you guys for the guys on the show
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: for wishing us a happy Mother's Day. By the way,
- 1:18:18Speaker 10: that was really sweet. That was very nice guy, very.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: Sweet and tyeah, we'll see how I go for Father's Day. Well,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: he always tex.
- 1:18:27Speaker 10: Don't be bitter.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: No, it ain't better. I'm just already set up for
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: disappointed disappointment. Yeah, I'm not bitter. I'm just going I'm
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: gonna go on. I much get my hurt out to wait.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Really me up.
- 1:18:41Speaker 10: Next, it is our last break of the day, and
- 1:18:43Speaker 10: we'll close out the show with the one and only
- 1:18:45Speaker 10: Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:18:47Speaker 16: You're listening Morning show.
- 1:18:50Speaker 10: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:18:52Speaker 10: the day on this Wednesday. It's been a good day,
- 1:18:56Speaker 10: been a fun day.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Yes, hey, this last clo before I do.
- 1:19:00Speaker 10: Yes, Steve, this is from Mercedes and Kingston Mercedes Rights.
- 1:19:03Speaker 10: My boyfriend of twelve years told me that he is
- 1:19:06Speaker 10: going to start a side business as an escort for
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: women visiting the resort where he works. He said, all
- 1:19:13Speaker 10: he will be doing is showing groups of women around
- 1:19:16Speaker 10: the island. Does this sound legit to you?
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah it does. It does. It's but see.
- 1:19:29Speaker 10: The name is wrong.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: What's the name escort?
- 1:19:35Speaker 10: That's what you guide or something else.
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna have a tour guide business for people,
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: and just say people, he gave out too much information, brud,
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: he is doomed and he been your boyfriend for twelve years.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Let's just start there.
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: That's our twelve year boyfriend. Let's just start there. When
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: is going dawn on you?
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: You ain't it?
- 1:20:00Speaker 10: Mm hmmm.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Maybe concierge service, something like that.
- 1:20:06Speaker 10: Something not escort, definitely not escort.
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: All those titles are questionable, but none is more questionable
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: than this twelve year boyfriendment what you need to work
- 1:20:23Speaker 7: that opens it up, that leads me to my clothes remarks. Yeah,
- 1:20:28Speaker 7: not that it did, but that's how I'm gonna transition
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: into it. I just want to remind people to never
- 1:20:36Speaker 7: give up. Don't do not make that a part of
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: your option. Giving up is very final, y'all. The only
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: thing that giving up as shoes. It assures one thing
- 1:20:52Speaker 7: that it will never happen. That's the guarantee of quitting,
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: of giving up. That's why you have to remove quitting
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: and giving up as an option. It can never be
- 1:21:01Speaker 7: an option. You have got to hang in there. There's
- 1:21:05Speaker 7: a saying that says, when you get at the end
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: of your rope, tie not in it and hang on.
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: Sometimes we all feel like we are at the end
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: of our rope, all of us. I felt it many times.
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: But when you get at the end of that rope,
- 1:21:21Speaker 7: this ain't the time to let go. This ain't the
- 1:21:25Speaker 7: time to give up. When you get at the end
- 1:21:28Speaker 7: of the.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Rope, tie not in it and hang on.
- 1:21:33Speaker 7: Because in this act of faith, in this showing, this
- 1:21:39Speaker 7: small act of faith, it sends a message to God Almighty.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: It sends a message to your heavenly Father.
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: It sends a message out to the universe that I
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: still believe that there's a possibility. I still have some
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: remaining hope. I'm hanging on by a thread. I'm hanging
- 1:22:00Speaker 7: on by my fingertips. But I'm hanging on because now
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: I still have the hope that I can win it.
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: I still have the hope that God is coming. I
- 1:22:11Speaker 7: still have the hope that there's going to be a breakthrough.
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: That's all you need. The Bible says, you need the
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: faith of a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: You just need a little bit, y'all. You don't need
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: a lot. You need a little bit, a little bit
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: of faith. You need love.
- 1:22:32Speaker 7: You need to must st up another one, just to
- 1:22:34Speaker 7: hang on another day. You know, it's like when you
- 1:22:37Speaker 7: hear people who are recovering alcoholics. You know you hear
- 1:22:40Speaker 7: them say it's just one day at a time. I
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: was listening to this guy, this former athlete. He was
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: on TV saying he had been sober for twenty seven
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: years now, but it's one day at a time. Do
- 1:22:51Speaker 7: you know how it must be to hang on for
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: twenty seven years? But if you do it one day
- 1:23:01Speaker 7: at a time, though, you can look up and you
- 1:23:04Speaker 7: can have done it for twenty seven years if you
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: approach it one day at a time. See, the goal
- 1:23:12Speaker 7: is to finish. But I have a saying that I've
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: said a hundred times on this show, Inch by inch.
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: Anything's a sich, just a step out of time, man.
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: See a lot of times, what makes the task seem
- 1:23:24Speaker 7: so dawning is you keep looking at the finish line
- 1:23:27Speaker 7: and you don't know where it is.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: See.
- 1:23:30Speaker 7: That's the thing about your goals and your dreams. You
- 1:23:33Speaker 7: don't know what the finish line is. You know what
- 1:23:36Speaker 7: you like to accomplish, you know what you hope to
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: come true, but you really don't know where the finish
- 1:23:42Speaker 7: line is. You don't know if it's next week, next month,
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: next summer, next year, you don't know.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: But you gotta keep pressing. You have to keep pressing.
- 1:23:59Speaker 7: Because just like you don't know when it's gonna come,
- 1:24:03Speaker 7: you really don't know when it's gonna come.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: It could be sooner than later.
- 1:24:07Speaker 7: But if you quit, if you give up, you guarantee
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: yourself the one thing that you don't want to have
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: to face, that it will never happen. I would hate
- 1:24:15Speaker 7: to wake up realizing that I've quit, that I've accepted failure.
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: I'm just not cut that weight. But you have to
- 1:24:27Speaker 7: practice that. You have to practice that, you have to
- 1:24:30Speaker 7: pray about that. You have to get some help. God
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: to help you man. If you ask God for strength,
- 1:24:36Speaker 7: he'll give you strength. That's what he does. God shows
- 1:24:42Speaker 7: up at his greatest moments, in your weakest hour. That's
- 1:24:46Speaker 7: when He do his best work when you out. So
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: when you get at the end of that rope, don't
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: let go. Don't give up. When you get at the
- 1:24:58Speaker 7: end of the rope, tie not in it, because it
- 1:25:01Speaker 7: can happen. It usually does. But you will not know
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: that if you quit. Take quitting and giving up out
- 1:25:09Speaker 7: of the equation those are my closing remarks today. Enjoy
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: your day, Listen, talk to God today. He would absolutely
- 1:25:17Speaker 7: love to hear from you.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: He really would. It don't matter if it's been a while.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: He understands. Talk to him today. Have a.
