- 1:20Speaker 1: next guest, I'm about to bring to the stage by
- 1:22Speaker 1: the age of six, he knew he wanted to be
- 1:24Speaker 1: a comedian. Can you believe that by the age of six?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Now that's that's all running around the house being stupid.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I don't know if you were being a comedian. He
- 1:32Speaker 1: regular performs and comedy clubs across the country, and there's
- 1:35Speaker 1: an ambassador for the United States government performing a basis
- 1:38Speaker 1: all over the world. Please walk on one of the
- 1:40Speaker 1: funniest comedians I know the money making conversations. Mr George Wallace,
- 1:48Speaker 1: Good afternoon, How would you? Good morning? In some places?
- 1:51Speaker 1: Good to talk to George Wallace. Um, there's a lot
- 1:55Speaker 1: of people that you met in life and somebody wants
- 2:00Speaker 1: to speak to you. I don't know why anybody want
- 2:02Speaker 1: to speak to you other than me, because I've had Okay,
- 2:06Speaker 1: everybody wants to talk to me because I am somebody.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I am living my dream. I love life, I love God.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I love you Richard McDonald, But I don't like Less Brown.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You're not listening and I'm going, oh my god, lets
- 2:24Speaker 1: us on and I just text less yesterday during this
- 2:28Speaker 1: business conversation. His name was gonna come up as an
- 2:30Speaker 1: inspirational person to talk to. So, yes, you're right, I
- 2:34Speaker 1: don't like him, but what he has to say, you
- 2:36Speaker 1: better listen to it? That Mr Brown, Yes, why did
- 2:39Speaker 1: you hang around for this? You know George is something gold.
- 2:42Speaker 1: But you know, George literally saved my career. Were at
- 2:46Speaker 1: a radio station in New York and I know he
- 2:49Speaker 1: I mean in in Washington, d C. And the program
- 2:52Speaker 1: director did not like me. And so I had a
- 2:55Speaker 1: morning show and George my calls and he for the
- 3:00Speaker 1: all slow records on and and he just was very
- 3:04Speaker 1: negative towards me, and so I decided that I was
- 3:09Speaker 1: gonna jack him up. And so George, you went from
- 3:14Speaker 1: motivational speaker to jacket somebody that's right after the mike.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That's a lot. He was not going to jack him up.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He was gonna literally throw the physically throw the man
- 3:24Speaker 1: out of the window. Yes, And so George is six
- 3:28Speaker 1: four goud between us, and he says less. He says,
- 3:31Speaker 1: nobody knows him. He said, but everybody knows you. He said,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you cannot do this, and he stopped. But you have
- 3:40Speaker 1: to have someone who can speak to you, and you
- 3:44Speaker 1: listen to And I listened to him, and and so
- 3:47Speaker 1: I stopped because I was gonna tear that studio up
- 3:50Speaker 1: with him. He was because he was trying to sabotage me.
- 3:53Speaker 1: But George said, it doesn't matter, just do what you
- 3:56Speaker 1: have to do. And and he just helped me to
- 3:58Speaker 1: a higher standard. I lost it right right, frustration. And
- 4:03Speaker 1: a lot of people do that life. You know, they
- 4:04Speaker 1: forget their roles in life. You know who you hang
- 4:09Speaker 1: around with. It makes it because there's some people say, yeah,
- 4:11Speaker 1: get him, yes you see, No, he didn't do that. Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 1: The other thing is I was fascinated with George. I
- 4:17Speaker 1: saw him the first time he came on television the
- 4:19Speaker 1: Johnny Carson Show. I wondered, why would he not change
- 4:24Speaker 1: his name given George Wallace about the white segregationists, And
- 4:31Speaker 1: I asked him on the air and said, why didn't
- 4:33Speaker 1: you change your name and come out with another name,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and he said, and he accomplished this. He said, I
- 4:39Speaker 1: decided that I was gonna make George Wallace a good name.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And so when people think about George Wallace now, they
- 4:48Speaker 1: don't think about the segregationist. They think about George Wallace,
- 4:52Speaker 1: the comedian who make people feel good about themselves, make
- 4:55Speaker 1: people laugh, and and he brings a lot of joy.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So I admire that because as he could have easily decided,
- 5:01Speaker 1: you know what, I'm I'm going to change my name
- 5:05Speaker 1: so I can be more accepted. But he didn't do that,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and his talent overrode the reputation of George Wallace the
- 5:13Speaker 1: segregationist or he is worth. Yes, we love you, uncle George.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's such a classic man. Thank you own a God,
- 5:21Speaker 1: bless you today. Something you know? Everybody? You know everybody? Okay,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you know he got forty five? How do you know
- 5:27Speaker 1: her voice? And what do you call him? Less brown?
- 5:32Speaker 1: His name is less black. I had a call with you, George.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I said, we are not going to be funny on
- 5:43Speaker 1: the show. We're gonna talk about life, you know. But
- 5:47Speaker 1: it's hard to talk to a fool and stop him.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Oh my Lord. Okay, listen, we won't do any more jokes.
- 5:54Speaker 1: We're just talking about the good things about living life.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Life is so good. Let's do that making money the
- 6:00Speaker 1: same time, making money at the same time. So do
- 6:02Speaker 1: you have anything to say for you black? Mr Black? Listen.
- 6:07Speaker 1: George called me less brown and more black. You know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: not be funny with less brown on less brown is crazy?
- 6:17Speaker 1: You know you got me. I hear speaking church and
- 6:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna look at that fool up there. You know,
- 6:21Speaker 1: I cut in church now, I really come because I
- 6:24Speaker 1: met a man in Atlanta's name is Walker fucking flame Wrap.
- 6:29Speaker 1: What the fucker? They ain't CUsing but show here close
- 6:32Speaker 1: And so we're less walked up from the pool and
- 6:36Speaker 1: I said, this Walker five. I gotta pray for him.
- 6:43Speaker 1: He needs a lot of friends and a lot of help.
- 6:46Speaker 1: He George, Owner, Owner, got a question for you right now? Okay, yes,
- 6:51Speaker 1: you got a question for you right yes, sir, Uncle George.
- 6:53Speaker 1: We're talking about money and success. There's a lot of
- 6:56Speaker 1: athletes and comedians and celebrities that have doned, died broke
- 7:01Speaker 1: after making millions of dollars. One of the things I
- 7:03Speaker 1: respect about you, you've obviously managed your money well and
- 7:07Speaker 1: been able to continue your success for years, so many years.
- 7:12Speaker 1: How do you what do you? What would you attribute
- 7:15Speaker 1: that to? Well, I'm known from day one does a
- 7:18Speaker 1: term called show business, and you have to separate those two.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Does a show and there's business, And a lot of
- 7:24Speaker 1: people don't know because I am a comedian, because I
- 7:27Speaker 1: am foolish. But the bottom line is I'm a serious
- 7:29Speaker 1: guy about living well right, and everybody should live well.
- 7:32Speaker 1: There's no reason why you shouldn't live well, and God
- 7:35Speaker 1: wants you to live well. I mean, why shouldn't you
- 7:37Speaker 1: prosper that if the money is out there? Sometimes a
- 7:39Speaker 1: friend of mine used to drop a hundred dollars on
- 7:41Speaker 1: the floor on the way to the stage right, and
- 7:44Speaker 1: that would she would mention the fact that there's a
- 7:46Speaker 1: hundred dollars on the floor and they're just sitting there
- 7:48Speaker 1: waiting for somebody to pick it up. You just gotta
- 7:50Speaker 1: go get it. You want some money, go get it,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and you gotta have it. It's in your head to
- 7:54Speaker 1: be successful. I've known since day one in school that, uh,
- 7:58Speaker 1: the school wants the school teacher want to ask who's
- 8:00Speaker 1: gonna be a millionaire? I'm the along with my hand up.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It's embedded in you that that's what you're gonna do.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You gotta live your dreams. A matter of fact, you
- 8:08Speaker 1: gotta read Less's book. That'll help you out a lot.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Live your dreams, visualize what you want in life, and
- 8:14Speaker 1: you can have anything. And you work too. Let me
- 8:17Speaker 1: say this. You know what millionaires do. They work. All
- 8:22Speaker 1: millionaires work. Look at everybody's successful. They work. But you
- 8:25Speaker 1: gotta think when you have this money, you can't throw
- 8:28Speaker 1: it away. We got these successful football players and basketball players,
- 8:31Speaker 1: all these athletes. Let me say that they get three
- 8:34Speaker 1: thirty million dollar contract, first thing they do is by
- 8:36Speaker 1: a forty million dollar home. But they don't know that
- 8:38Speaker 1: money is not always gonna be coming in. And when
- 8:41Speaker 1: the contracts stop, the bills the house note kick continues.
- 8:45Speaker 1: So that's why you see people they do the wrong,
- 8:47Speaker 1: They make the wrong decisions. You know, you gotta take
- 8:49Speaker 1: that money and save it. And you don't need five
- 8:52Speaker 1: rose rosses unless you just got you know, like a froad. Maywell,
- 8:55Speaker 1: if you get that, got that kind of money, but
- 8:57Speaker 1: you can have fun ellion dollars though back tax. So
- 9:02Speaker 1: that's the conversation he has to deal with that twenty
- 9:05Speaker 1: two million dollars that there's nothing for him. He's gonna
- 9:07Speaker 1: flight one night, he's gonna fight one night, and he
- 9:09Speaker 1: can pay it off about that. He's gonna makelli And
- 9:11Speaker 1: I was on the fight. But you still gotta pay
- 9:13Speaker 1: taxes on that too. Now, that's always tax that. Now
- 9:16Speaker 1: there's always text. That's one thing you gotta do to
- 9:19Speaker 1: forget that. That's another way to get it in trouble.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Hey your tax I've gotten to the point I want
- 9:25Speaker 1: to pay my text so well, I add an additional
- 9:27Speaker 1: sums of money just for miscellaneous charges that I may
- 9:30Speaker 1: not know about that they might come back and talk
- 9:32Speaker 1: to you about exactly. I'm gonna tell some George. I'm
- 9:35Speaker 1: telling some George because I want I'm gonna keep your
- 9:37Speaker 1: while around for a minute, because of the fact that
- 9:39Speaker 1: you know, man to be funny in generations, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and I say generation every decade, and to be funny
- 9:48Speaker 1: because you let's let's be real, like I was with
- 9:50Speaker 1: Mr Brown earlier. I just wanted to talk about the
- 9:52Speaker 1: dynamics of longevity and greatness and you before death comedy
- 9:57Speaker 1: jam her so so. And you know this is true
- 10:02Speaker 1: because I had to deal with this when you're making
- 10:04Speaker 1: white people laugh. A lot of people thought you father
- 10:07Speaker 1: couldn't make black people laugh. Is that true? I don't
- 10:11Speaker 1: know what it's true. I've always made everybody laugh because
- 10:13Speaker 1: I'm I'm a people person. I love people and always
- 10:16Speaker 1: knew that I love making them laugh. And I I'm
- 10:18Speaker 1: kind of different because it's very hard for me to
- 10:21Speaker 1: seek color. I know one color. I know green. I
- 10:26Speaker 1: know that's right and and and that that inspires you.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So the transition when when death kny Jam came about
- 10:37Speaker 1: didn't affect you at all, couldn't pick me and I
- 10:40Speaker 1: went on and I did Death Company Jam. I need it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I hosted it a few nights. I've had fun in
- 10:45Speaker 1: both arenas, and I just love making people black white.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I don't I used to do the better. I don't
- 10:49Speaker 1: care what you're black, white, blue, or green. You know,
- 10:52Speaker 1: as long as you're having fun, because there's nothing better
- 10:54Speaker 1: than My job as a comedian is the greatest job
- 10:57Speaker 1: in the world. It happens to be the hardest job
- 11:00Speaker 1: as far as the show business is concerned. The hardest
- 11:02Speaker 1: job in the world is public speaking, the most fear
- 11:05Speaker 1: thing to do in life. And when we got to
- 11:07Speaker 1: go on stage. We don't only have to speak. We
- 11:10Speaker 1: gotta get last. We gotta produce jokes. We gotta deliver jokes.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And it's harder than any other art point from out there.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So I love doing it and they reward me with pay,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and no, I saw often say I would do it
- 11:21Speaker 1: for free. Why because I under my essence, I love
- 11:24Speaker 1: what I do and I love to show people what
- 11:26Speaker 1: I do. Because when you make people happy, you can't
- 11:29Speaker 1: go wrong. Yeah, I mean you just think about it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: You can't even take a smile without feeling better. That's amazing,
- 11:35Speaker 1: that's true. Now they gotta leave everybody to go to
- 11:38Speaker 1: the break please, uh you know, if you're gonna do
- 11:40Speaker 1: some condolences and say he black, and why you don't
- 11:43Speaker 1: tell by the owner? Do your thing, George and Mr Brown,
- 11:46Speaker 1: you do your thing. Let's brown more black? You you
- 11:55Speaker 1: believe Mongolia? Well, George's family. I love George, and I
- 12:01Speaker 1: tell you it's it's It was a blessing. We used
- 12:03Speaker 1: to this show together. We had a great time. And
- 12:06Speaker 1: we found out on the air that I showed was canceled,
- 12:08Speaker 1: did we George exactly? Yeah, I mean we found out
- 12:13Speaker 1: on the air reading the news and and it shows,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and but we were very graceful and we thanked everybody,
- 12:21Speaker 1: and we were grateful for the two years we were
- 12:23Speaker 1: on and we didn't say anything negative and and about out. Yes,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and so I went on the New York City to
- 12:31Speaker 1: w j KPRS to become a New York radio the
- 12:35Speaker 1: next day about didn't even have a job. Yes, yes,
- 12:41Speaker 1: So there are things going to happen to you in
- 12:43Speaker 1: life and you have to roll with the punches. Absolutely, absolutely, George,
- 12:46Speaker 1: take care. I love you and there's nothing you can
- 12:48Speaker 1: do about it. You know you're gonna get sued. You
- 12:50Speaker 1: know that's my saying I love you. In this absolution,
- 12:54Speaker 1: We'll be back. We're boring one thing coming back, share
- 12:59Speaker 1: some foolishness. George Wallace is talented daughter on We'll be back.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I want to find out by George Wallace. He's pursuing
- 13:06Speaker 1: a dual posts work at the University of Phoenix in
- 13:08Speaker 1: the Vade Devra George Wallace at Dvrye some comedy somewhere
- 13:14Speaker 1: in that be right back with more money making conversations.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Welcome back to money making conversations. I have him a
- 13:20Speaker 1: hold because I'm about to bring him back up the
- 13:22Speaker 1: incredible comedian George Wallace. Welcome back to the show, George Wallace.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Good to George, knowing your longtime brother. I remember when
- 13:31Speaker 1: I came up to Houston of New York City, I
- 13:35Speaker 1: met you had catch a rising star. I was just
- 13:37Speaker 1: a young comedian, didn't know how to tell a joke,
- 13:41Speaker 1: and you stopped me and you spoke to me. That's
- 13:43Speaker 1: the type of guy you are. Man. You know, no
- 13:45Speaker 1: matter how famous you are, you inspired me to continue
- 13:49Speaker 1: my dream just by speaking to me at the bar.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So with that, with that being said, who are you, George? Who? What? What? What?
- 13:56Speaker 1: All these years? Who is George Wallace? Man? That's a
- 13:59Speaker 1: great way, And I'm glad you're asking me that because
- 14:01Speaker 1: the most important thing. Let me tell you who I am.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I am the most blessed person you have ever met.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I am, uh perhaps one of the happiest people you've
- 14:11Speaker 1: ever met. I am happy. I love life, I love living,
- 14:15Speaker 1: I love people, and I love my career. And I
- 14:19Speaker 1: love America. I I like the world. I like the
- 14:21Speaker 1: world so much. You know, when you hear people say
- 14:23Speaker 1: God bless America. The President said that, and God bess America,
- 14:26Speaker 1: I'm the god who said God bless everybody. God bless
- 14:29Speaker 1: all of us in the America, South America, North America.
- 14:31Speaker 1: It's God blessed. And then God does bless You're all
- 14:34Speaker 1: a blessing. I'm just happy living. And if I died tomorrow,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I've been so blessed. I have everything I had, could
- 14:40Speaker 1: have ever wanted a career. I got money. I got
- 14:43Speaker 1: a few money. Okay, I've been working hard. They have money.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Some people don't know what that is. Will explain that later.
- 14:48Speaker 1: But I am a free man. I am happy more
- 14:51Speaker 1: than anything else I got. I don't know what to
- 14:53Speaker 1: say financial. I'm secure. I love God. God is in
- 14:57Speaker 1: my life. You can't do nothing without him. And life
- 15:01Speaker 1: is just good. And with that being said, what what
- 15:05Speaker 1: why a big quite comedian? Because you said that you
- 15:07Speaker 1: knew you want to be a comedian when you was
- 15:09Speaker 1: six years old, And I can honestly tell you I
- 15:11Speaker 1: didn't find out who I was allowed about thirty two.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You know that, right? Well, what happened at six years or?
- 15:19Speaker 1: I was a kid, and I used to watch TV
- 15:21Speaker 1: and uh, well before even people, we had Red, Fox
- 15:24Speaker 1: and Moms Maybe and Judge Me Markam used to listen
- 15:27Speaker 1: to their records and and what's the best thing to
- 15:29Speaker 1: do ever in life is laugh. I guess I've always
- 15:31Speaker 1: been a happy baby, a happy boy, a happy student,
- 15:35Speaker 1: a happy friend, a happy person. I just picked happiness
- 15:39Speaker 1: and and I'm going raised in the church, and maybe
- 15:43Speaker 1: that has something to do with my career guidance night man.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Actually I went to church. I told hibou the other day.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I went to church so much that when I first
- 15:50Speaker 1: got my I got my first job to ask me
- 15:51Speaker 1: because I worked on Sunday. I told hell, oh yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 1: and as I said, I need to do something different.
- 15:59Speaker 1: But I just had your life and I love living
- 16:01Speaker 1: and it's just being six years old. And I would
- 16:05Speaker 1: take those jokes from Judge pick Me, Markham and Richard
- 16:07Speaker 1: Pryor and uh, I said red Fox. Uh. I would
- 16:12Speaker 1: take those jokes back to school the next day and
- 16:14Speaker 1: tell those jokes Milton Borrows, Johnny Cars. Anytime I heard
- 16:17Speaker 1: a funny joke, I would I would tell the joke
- 16:19Speaker 1: to the kids and they were laughing school, even the
- 16:21Speaker 1: school teacher. I was not a class clown when I
- 16:23Speaker 1: was an instigator. I never will forget one day, all right.
- 16:26Speaker 1: You know you used to pass the notes around the
- 16:28Speaker 1: room in school, I passed the note around and says,
- 16:31Speaker 1: if you have holes in your groves, maybe it's proper
- 16:33Speaker 1: to say underwear, but he said, if you have holes
- 16:35Speaker 1: in your grows, smile. So the note was going all
- 16:38Speaker 1: around the room. And saw the note and the note
- 16:40Speaker 1: was on the other side of the room. She said,
- 16:42Speaker 1: give me that note, and she ticked them on up
- 16:44Speaker 1: to her desk. She sit out and she read the
- 16:46Speaker 1: note and she started smiling. Then the class cracked up.
- 16:49Speaker 1: And you know what she said, George Wallace, out of
- 16:52Speaker 1: everybody in room, she knew I did it right, right, right,
- 16:54Speaker 1: right right. She knew I did it, but it was
- 16:58Speaker 1: making people laugh at the time. I used to make
- 16:59Speaker 1: my school kisser. Last. I have a school teacher that's
- 17:01Speaker 1: living right now. Her name is Mrs Trumpsy Brewer. She
- 17:04Speaker 1: lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She's eighty six years old. She
- 17:06Speaker 1: used to make me stay after school to tell her jokes.
- 17:09Speaker 1: And you know what she said to me One day,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I told a clean joke because she was a school teacher.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You know that ain't the kind of joke I want
- 17:16Speaker 1: to hear. She wanted to hear dirty jokes. Now, not,
- 17:22Speaker 1: you don't do that. You don't do that, you don't
- 17:24Speaker 1: do that? Well, I mean back then she did and
- 17:26Speaker 1: she's still crazy today. We still have fun. I still
- 17:28Speaker 1: know all my school teachers, I know everybody. But and
- 17:31Speaker 1: it's always been about happiness to me. It wasn't just
- 17:34Speaker 1: like I said, growing up in the church, you leave church,
- 17:36Speaker 1: what do you do? You come home and mock the
- 17:37Speaker 1: preacher was one of my best bits right now. It
- 17:40Speaker 1: is a preacher teller. That's why I became a comedian,
- 17:42Speaker 1: because the preacher would always tell a joke. I called
- 17:44Speaker 1: her a life sometime. You ever hear the preacher walk
- 17:46Speaker 1: up in the poolpits? Is I won't be long? Right?
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's right right, that's a joke that's in a bathund
- 17:53Speaker 1: stop now, especially in the bath. All the churches, every
- 17:56Speaker 1: church to stop now. I just gotta lord, hey, George,
- 18:01Speaker 1: what's this about Phoenix University and Dry University? I have
- 18:06Speaker 1: no idea. I just know that on every corner. I
- 18:08Speaker 1: don't know when I first saw it, Phoenix University. I'm
- 18:10Speaker 1: gonna like, why is there school in Georgia? Why is
- 18:13Speaker 1: it in Ohio? Every exit as a University of phoenis right, right, right, right? Well,
- 18:18Speaker 1: they used to be a joke. But I think they're
- 18:20Speaker 1: legit now. But it's just like a joke. You know,
- 18:23Speaker 1: that's just a joke thrown in my bio obvious joke.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Oh you you you mean I took it serious? Yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 1: you're not right. You know, you know you haven't been
- 18:33Speaker 1: right since they sat your mom a Z. I'm gonna
- 18:36Speaker 1: teach something. I'll tell you something, man, I'll teach somebody.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Don't you be doing no mama jokes with me on
- 18:40Speaker 1: money main conversation. I won't you let that slip in, man,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I let you slip in on me like that because
- 18:45Speaker 1: my mama listened to my show. Man. I'm gonna start
- 18:48Speaker 1: crying on you, George Wallace now, because I can't compete
- 18:51Speaker 1: with you. Boy, I can't compete with you. No. I
- 18:53Speaker 1: know you inventer those. I know inventer those anymore. I
- 18:57Speaker 1: don't even do those anymore. Now you're still out there
- 18:59Speaker 1: on the road, Joe, are you playing then? Used comedy clothes?
- 19:02Speaker 1: What is what's supposed the game playing? For George Wallace
- 19:04Speaker 1: in two thousand and seventeen and moving forward? Guess what
- 19:08Speaker 1: it is? Three words? Two words making money? And I
- 19:12Speaker 1: make money because I love making money, but I also
- 19:14Speaker 1: make money because I enjoyed what I do out of
- 19:17Speaker 1: my essence. I still get out there and show people
- 19:19Speaker 1: who I am what I do. This week along, I'm
- 19:22Speaker 1: gonna go to Los Angeles tomorrow. I'm gonna do five
- 19:24Speaker 1: TV shows with Byron Allen. What it's called What's So Funny?
- 19:29Speaker 1: Next week, I'm gonna do a show with Uh. I'm
- 19:31Speaker 1: the grandfather on Casey Undercover. That's uh the cute young
- 19:36Speaker 1: girl named Zendaya and her dad is cadem Hardiston. I'm
- 19:39Speaker 1: his daddy. So we got four weeks with that shooting.
- 19:42Speaker 1: We're busy out there. I just finished a movie with
- 19:44Speaker 1: Morgan Freeman called villaka Free Morgan Freeman and Tumily Jones.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I'm just busy. I'm doing concerts all over the country.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'm doing the concert tour with it's called Original Gangsters
- 19:55Speaker 1: of Comedy. Oh yeah, I was just do Houston huh
- 19:58Speaker 1: and Father's Day Weekend correct exactly, we did going on
- 20:02Speaker 1: to d C. Curry, Jack Jake, j Anthon and Brown
- 20:05Speaker 1: whole Flood and uh and uh kid Aber Houston. Uh Man,
- 20:11Speaker 1: he's out of Houston. Man. We'll come over his name later,
- 20:14Speaker 1: but you can't remember his name. Is he selling tickets? Man?
- 20:17Speaker 1: I know George Waller seales tickets. I know whole Flood
- 20:20Speaker 1: sales tickets. I know DC Curry sales tickets. And then
- 20:23Speaker 1: you got one more person. Yeah, and he used to
- 20:25Speaker 1: be with it, used to be with Doug Banks. Uh.
- 20:28Speaker 1: And he lives there. Rush Rush, Yeah, he's on the
- 20:31Speaker 1: air here, you know, Rudy Rush, Rudy Rush. We're having fun.
- 20:35Speaker 1: He sales tickets to everybody's a headline and that's what's
- 20:38Speaker 1: good about it. Shut up that messing with my tour
- 20:42Speaker 1: to making money. We're making money out there. And I'm busy.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And uh, I'm still working for the government, of course.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I work for the Pentagon entertained the top the top
- 20:51Speaker 1: commanders around the world. And I'm busy. Like I'm just
- 20:54Speaker 1: blessed now because you can't because you can slow down.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I remember when you at the Vegas show at the
- 21:00Speaker 1: Maino Hotel ten years ten years you had that you
- 21:02Speaker 1: missed the Las Vegas. But yes, but let me ask you,
- 21:06Speaker 1: this is because you mentioned a lot of things. I
- 21:09Speaker 1: mean even that that's a that's a career right there
- 21:12Speaker 1: that you just mentioned right there. What is the what
- 21:15Speaker 1: what's the next step for for you, George, what do
- 21:17Speaker 1: you want to do? What do you want to do
- 21:18Speaker 1: besides what you're doing, which is exceptional? Am I asking
- 21:21Speaker 1: a generic question that say, Richard, I'm doing what I
- 21:24Speaker 1: want to do? Well, there are other things besides a book.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I there's another book comment somewhere. Yeah, I did a
- 21:30Speaker 1: book and I'm gonna do another book. Well, the reason
- 21:33Speaker 1: I do what I do? Uh? And you talked about
- 21:37Speaker 1: the career in Las Vegas. I did something. I went
- 21:39Speaker 1: there for thirty days and turn out to be ten years.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I love that. And what happened was I didn't know it,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and it happened to me so quickly, and I was
- 21:48Speaker 1: into the the groove my ultimate goal. Guess what my
- 21:52Speaker 1: ultimate goal was in life? What's the headline? In Las Vegas?
- 21:57Speaker 1: And I was there for eight years. I'm going, oh
- 21:58Speaker 1: my god, I've done it. I've been in Laws Vegas
- 22:02Speaker 1: longer than they worked to stage, longer than any African
- 22:04Speaker 1: American ever at the Flamingo. And the most important thing is,
- 22:08Speaker 1: and since your show is about money, I did not
- 22:11Speaker 1: work for the hotel. I own the show. I know
- 22:14Speaker 1: I pay you the twenty six workers. I did all
- 22:16Speaker 1: of the marketing. I did all of the advertising. I
- 22:19Speaker 1: did all of the promo. It's not your name when
- 22:21Speaker 1: you get to Las Vegas. It doesn't matter who you are.
- 22:24Speaker 1: You're seeing entertainers go in and out of Las Vegas,
- 22:26Speaker 1: big names and don't make it after a few weeks.
- 22:29Speaker 1: But I was there because I had the experience and
- 22:31Speaker 1: the professionalism of the business. Mind Let's put it like that,
- 22:36Speaker 1: to go and visit every hotel the mindset, visit every
- 22:41Speaker 1: country's at every hotel personally shake their hands at least
- 22:44Speaker 1: once every six months. It doesn't matter who your name is.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You've got ticket brokers out there selling tickets. They're gonna
- 22:50Speaker 1: sell the tickets that they make the most money off
- 22:53Speaker 1: before they sell your tickets. So that's why some entertainers
- 22:56Speaker 1: didn't make it in Las Vegas. You gotta go out
- 22:57Speaker 1: and you gotta shoot hands. It doesn't matter what your
- 23:00Speaker 1: name is. You gotta go to people like uh, Time Shareholders,
- 23:05Speaker 1: those those people to sell Time shows day by thousands
- 23:08Speaker 1: of tickets a day. So you gotta get into the business. Mine,
- 23:11Speaker 1: how can I sell this? And then I also I
- 23:13Speaker 1: was in advertising. Ever we went to Las Vegas, people
- 23:16Speaker 1: used to say I had five trucks going down the
- 23:18Speaker 1: street back to back to back to back to back,
- 23:20Speaker 1: George Wallace. People say, why would you put five trucks
- 23:23Speaker 1: back to back in that crazy Why would you ask
- 23:25Speaker 1: me about it? There you go, because it means they
- 23:29Speaker 1: they saw it, they saw the message. They's a business
- 23:33Speaker 1: the show and then there's a business. So at night
- 23:36Speaker 1: at ten o'clock, the best ten PM show in Las
- 23:38Speaker 1: Vegas for ten years, I was on stage telling jokes.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I owned the show. I might do an hour, might
- 23:43Speaker 1: doing on the head, but I owned the room. I
- 23:44Speaker 1: could do what I wanted to do during the day.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I was handling the business park for ten years a
- 23:49Speaker 1: decade in Vegas. African American man said exactly, and then
- 23:54Speaker 1: they'd never been done before. I didn't, thank God. And
- 23:57Speaker 1: I was on stage one night and my best friend
- 23:59Speaker 1: went on stage. She said, we've been doing this for
- 24:01Speaker 1: ten years. America needs to see you again, so we're
- 24:04Speaker 1: gonna close the show. That's what my best friend said.
- 24:07Speaker 1: And he knows he knows more about money than anybody,
- 24:10Speaker 1: and he quite a successful show in his prime. So
- 24:13Speaker 1: I said, you're right. I gotta get back out in America.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That's why I'm out doing the tours and making money
- 24:18Speaker 1: and doing television during the movies. Life is just good. Hey, George,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I called you personally asked you to call and do
- 24:25Speaker 1: my show. You said, Rashwan, what time? And you've done it.
- 24:29Speaker 1: And I think more importantly, you've told people about you
- 24:32Speaker 1: and what it takes to be successful if they want
- 24:34Speaker 1: to follow in your footsteps, not only as a comedian
- 24:37Speaker 1: but as a person in life. So in closing, George,
- 24:40Speaker 1: what what the nuggets of inspiration would you give my
- 24:43Speaker 1: listeners a money making conversation? And I'm money making conversations.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Think about what you're doing on your essence. Don't be
- 24:49Speaker 1: afraid to put your business on on the street, and
- 24:51Speaker 1: don't be afraid to to make choices that take chances.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Don't be in the fish bowl the fish and the
- 24:56Speaker 1: fish boat goes back and forth. Some time. You gotta
- 24:58Speaker 1: jump out of that fish bowl and get into a
- 24:59Speaker 1: new world and enjoy what you want to do. Don't
- 25:02Speaker 1: be afraid to fail. You know, when I was in
- 25:05Speaker 1: sales in New York City, I was vice president of
- 25:07Speaker 1: the world's largest outdoor advertising company. Our formula was every
- 25:11Speaker 1: twelve knows then you get it. Yes, that that's hard.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Some people can't deal with that. You gotta keep knocking
- 25:16Speaker 1: on the door. No no, no, no, no no what
- 25:18Speaker 1: you keep working hard, You're gonna get it. Yes, As
- 25:20Speaker 1: I said before, there's something in the struggle. You gotta work.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Rich people work. You gotta get out there and work
- 25:26Speaker 1: for it, for it and your notice. Look at you.
- 25:29Speaker 1: You work for many a year and just grow and
- 25:32Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden it gets in your system.
- 25:34Speaker 1: You don't know nothing to do but try to do
- 25:36Speaker 1: better and at Sometimes you're not running for more money.
- 25:38Speaker 1: You're just making money just because you're happy doing what
- 25:41Speaker 1: you do. Read the phrase before. When you love what
- 25:43Speaker 1: you do, you never have a job. I love what
- 25:46Speaker 1: I do and I love what I do, and I
- 25:48Speaker 1: paid the money because I appreciate you. I thank you,
- 25:51Speaker 1: I love you, and it's absolutely nothing you can do
- 25:53Speaker 1: about it. And hey man, let's talk soon, and I
- 25:56Speaker 1: eat the meals okay, okay, because I gotta tell you
- 25:59Speaker 1: something about making more money. As my dadda said once,
- 26:02Speaker 1: I know you gotta go with my dadda said once,
- 26:04Speaker 1: life is like a crap sandwich. Okay. Told me to
- 26:06Speaker 1: get all the education I can and make all of
- 26:09Speaker 1: the bread I can, because the more bread you have,
- 26:11Speaker 1: the less crap you gotta eat if you want it.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Have a good date you have. Life is like a
- 26:19Speaker 1: crap so much you know how to pick it up.
