- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turn be hurting you are you gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out, turn you got to turn them out,
- 1:44Speaker 1: then turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your fat it uh huh, I sure will a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. Y'all listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and all is Steve Hardy got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Okay, today is simple. I want to tell you.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I want to just talk to you about effort today.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Just about effort. You know, it's it's it's it's a
- 2:26Speaker 1: word that people use to describe sometimes trying. But what
- 2:32Speaker 1: I found out about trying is trying is just a
- 2:36Speaker 1: noble way of saying you didn't get it done. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: tried when and then everybody go, well he tried, that
- 2:45Speaker 1: was the best. Well that's that's not exactly true though
- 2:50Speaker 1: that that's that's not exactly true. You are and I
- 2:53Speaker 1: want to talk to you about that because I don't
- 2:56Speaker 1: want you to be one of the people who just tried.
- 3:00Speaker 1: See trying, I mean, I gotta tell you to attempt something.
- 3:05Speaker 1: You're gonna have to first try, But I want you
- 3:09Speaker 1: to change your mindset from trying to getting it done. See,
- 3:15Speaker 1: that's a big difference. I'm really more apt to listen
- 3:18Speaker 1: to the person that says to me, I'm gonna get
- 3:20Speaker 1: it done. I'm gonna try. What try does is it
- 3:24Speaker 1: allows you to fail. It's the person that has the
- 3:27Speaker 1: mindset that I'm gonna get it done is the person
- 3:31Speaker 1: who changes the complexion of things. I'm gonna get it done.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's very different than I'm gonna try. You know. Look, man,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I know this sounds a little harsh, but you gotta
- 3:43Speaker 1: stop feeding yourself these little old wise sayings that ain't
- 3:47Speaker 1: It was a valiant tribe. Hey man, You talk to
- 3:51Speaker 1: anybody that took second place in the super Bowl and
- 3:55Speaker 1: see how they feel about their valiant try. The only
- 3:58Speaker 1: way to gain God's real blessings is you have to
- 4:05Speaker 1: try something. Stevie backpedaling, Now, listen to me close. You
- 4:13Speaker 1: have to put forth an effort to allow God to
- 4:19Speaker 1: put his finger on something to bless on your behalf.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You must start to attempt now insane getting it done,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and I'm gonna try. That's a different of two different
- 4:33Speaker 1: faiths to me that I'm just talking about me. Now,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you may be different, so I can't. I can't say
- 4:39Speaker 1: this about you, but I can't say this about me.
- 4:44Speaker 1: If I say I'm gonna get it done, I have
- 4:48Speaker 1: a lot of faith in it. I am going to
- 4:52Speaker 1: get it done because I just don't see failure as
- 4:55Speaker 1: an option. A lot of times now, if somebody says
- 4:58Speaker 1: to me, like the Olympic team invited me out to
- 5:02Speaker 1: curl one day, which is throw these stones on the ice.
- 5:06Speaker 1: If you're not familiar with it's very simple, and so
- 5:09Speaker 1: I said, man, I'd like to give that a try.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I went in full well knowing I may not come
- 5:19Speaker 1: away from this little curling lesson as a person who
- 5:24Speaker 1: could make the Olympic team. I just wanted to try
- 5:27Speaker 1: it because I thought it looked cool and I always
- 5:29Speaker 1: wanted to get it done. Well. I failed twice. I
- 5:33Speaker 1: threw a stone completely into the other lane. I lost
- 5:37Speaker 1: that little ice shoe. It shot out under me. But
- 5:40Speaker 1: you know what, I kept trying though. I kept trying
- 5:45Speaker 1: until I got four of them stones in that circle
- 5:48Speaker 1: right where I aimed. But now had I give it
- 5:51Speaker 1: up after I failed, after I threw that stone in
- 5:55Speaker 1: the other lane, after I shot my shoe down all
- 5:59Speaker 1: the way to the bottom side, the little ice shoe
- 6:01Speaker 1: they give you. I never would did it, But because
- 6:04Speaker 1: I was trying. Something got me together a little bit
- 6:08Speaker 1: because of my effort, and it caused me not to
- 6:11Speaker 1: fall the next time, not to throw it into other lane,
- 6:14Speaker 1: not to shoot my shoe to the back of the wall.
- 6:18Speaker 1: All of a sudden, my trying became something. Now had
- 6:22Speaker 1: I stayed out there and it wasn't so cold, and
- 6:25Speaker 1: I went back week after week after week after week.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I promise you I could get it done. I could
- 6:33Speaker 1: at least know how to compete in a game of curling.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Might not be the best. I might not win the championship,
- 6:41Speaker 1: but I could have got it done to the point
- 6:43Speaker 1: where I could have competed in the game of curling.
- 6:45Speaker 1: So sometimes if you're scared to say I'm gonna get
- 6:48Speaker 1: it done, just go out there and get started. You know,
- 6:53Speaker 1: learn from every attempt that you make. See, don't quit
- 6:57Speaker 1: writing yourself off as a failure every time something go right,
- 7:00Speaker 1: and when I failed on that ice, I could have said, Man,
- 7:03Speaker 1: I can't curl, but I hold up. Man, I'm watching
- 7:05Speaker 1: four other women out here curl for other dudes out
- 7:08Speaker 1: here curling, little kids out here curling. Hold up, Pardner,
- 7:11Speaker 1: you know, man. So I learned when I threw that
- 7:14Speaker 1: stone on the other ice, when I when I fail,
- 7:17Speaker 1: when when my shoe shot off, I learned from every
- 7:20Speaker 1: attempt a little bit more about it. And then I
- 7:25Speaker 1: said to myself at one point time, man, I'm gonna
- 7:28Speaker 1: get this stone in that circle. I'm gonna get this
- 7:31Speaker 1: stone in this circle. And guess what I got it done.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now what you're saying to me, Steve, I'm saying to
- 7:39Speaker 1: you that you gotta get started, That you gotta put
- 7:42Speaker 1: forth an effort. Give God something to bless. Oh God,
- 7:45Speaker 1: bless me, Oh God, bless me. Bless you? What? Bless you? Where?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Bless you? How? Stop basing your results on what you're thinking.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You gotta think higher. You get God in your life, man,
- 7:58Speaker 1: He allows you to think higher, bigger, better more. I'm
- 8:03Speaker 1: sitting up in my debt. I came up with a
- 8:05Speaker 1: plan to get out of debt in five years. I
- 8:07Speaker 1: came up with this plan right. I was sitting up
- 8:10Speaker 1: and I was tripping on it. Now, I said, wait
- 8:12Speaker 1: a minute, man, hold up, this is what I came
- 8:15Speaker 1: up with. I said. God created heaven and earth, all
- 8:21Speaker 1: of it, the mountains, the sky, the valleys, the oceans, trees,
- 8:26Speaker 1: the birds, the Indian Ocean, all of it, made all
- 8:30Speaker 1: of it in six days, and then he rested on
- 8:35Speaker 1: the seven. So why am I taking to God the
- 8:40Speaker 1: five year plan? If he can create heaven and earth
- 8:45Speaker 1: in six days, why am I walking in there talking
- 8:48Speaker 1: about helped me in five years? How is it gonna
- 8:52Speaker 1: take God five years to getting me out of debt?
- 8:56Speaker 1: And he made heaven and earth in six days? Due
- 8:59Speaker 1: the man offhill, Man, I ain't that big. You ain't
- 9:03Speaker 1: that big. You ain't in that much trouble. I ain't
- 9:06Speaker 1: in that much trouble. See, God got a way of
- 9:09Speaker 1: showing you some things, man, but it's gonna take some faith,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and faith gonna take some effort on your part. Man,
- 9:15Speaker 1: Get out and do something. Man, you God will bless
- 9:18Speaker 1: you a little bit and give you a little bit
- 9:20Speaker 1: more courage. And then all them attempts you making is
- 9:23Speaker 1: gonna and all this So I'll try you know what
- 9:25Speaker 1: that turn into I'm gonna get it done, and at
- 9:27Speaker 1: the end of the day, that's what you have to do,
- 9:30Speaker 1: because trying to pay your rent and not paying your rent,
- 9:33Speaker 1: it's two different things. You can try to play or
- 9:37Speaker 1: pay your rent, or you can get it done. Now,
- 9:39Speaker 1: how long you think you're gonna stay in that house trying?
- 9:42Speaker 1: You got to go with the mindset of getting it done.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And if you can put some stuff out there and
- 9:47Speaker 1: give God a chance to put his finger on it
- 9:48Speaker 1: and bless it for you the most stuff he can
- 9:50Speaker 1: do for you. Quit looking around what everybody else gotten.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Gonna get some of it for yourself. Okay, all right,
- 9:56Speaker 1: you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, let me have your attention.

- 11:10Speaker 1: know the hell you didn't hell yeah Christmas? Hell yeah?

- 12:35Speaker 1: but this is really I think I should. I want to.
- 12:40Speaker 1: First of all, I want to compliment the Miles family.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Wonderful job he's doing, raising his family and exposing them
- 12:48Speaker 1: to things all around the country, buying them beautiful, giving
- 12:52Speaker 1: them kids lifestyles that he didn't have it. And the
- 12:58Speaker 1: family You know that, did you? You know who? Okay,

- 20:30Speaker 1: All right, we gotta go. That's it, all right, guys,
- 20:34Speaker 1: were coming up next. It is Monday, Reverend Motown Deacon
- 20:37Speaker 1: deaf Jam in the building. Right after this you're listening
- 20:41Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour, Miss
- 20:45Speaker 1: Anne will be here with today's national news. But it's Monday,
- 20:49Speaker 1: so you know what time it is. Church complaints past
- 20:52Speaker 1: the Motown Deacon Deaf Jam in the building. Let's go
- 20:59Speaker 1: o oh. Here we are on another great day, sponsored
- 21:11Speaker 1: and brought to you by do Lord. Yes, and lying
- 21:18Speaker 1: his goodness is amiss. Yeah, that's it, dirighteously, that's right.
- 21:28Speaker 1: He is all that we ain't right, plussome and more. Yes, here,
- 21:40Speaker 1: as grateful as we are, we find ourselves on this Monday,
- 21:45Speaker 1: gathered again for the most ungrateful congregation on Earth today.
- 21:51Speaker 1: That's right, jack Pot, join the deerusal congregation. Always got
- 21:58Speaker 1: some complaints here there is come on starting it staying
- 22:04Speaker 1: out past. It's just the um U. Jdesslin Middleton shouted
- 22:10Speaker 1: too loud yesterday and one of the ushers, brother Raymond Lockhart,
- 22:15Speaker 1: I want somebody, told him to try to quieting her down.
- 22:19Speaker 1: He plut some flexa seal over her mouth to quieting her,
- 22:23Speaker 1: that Flexu seal tape that you see on the commercial.
- 22:26Speaker 1: And she is highly upset, and it took forever to
- 22:30Speaker 1: get it off, and her lips is really so in
- 22:32Speaker 1: her cheeks ears too passed. He slapped up some flexus
- 22:35Speaker 1: seal over her mouth to quieting her down. Well, a
- 22:41Speaker 1: lot of male members have asked about this, Oh, what
- 22:51Speaker 1: do you call it? Flexa seal? You know the stuff
- 22:54Speaker 1: that that that stopped the water from coming through the boat.
- 22:57Speaker 1: You know you've seen it at will that recipe at
- 23:01Speaker 1: day House. Can you let us know what that is
- 23:06Speaker 1: exactly and how much it is. We're gonna start selling
- 23:10Speaker 1: it at the church all. A lot of wives have
- 23:14Speaker 1: asked for who so it could be a top seller
- 23:19Speaker 1: and go all the mother proceeds will go towards the building,
- 23:23Speaker 1: for I would make a knowe that that pastor moving along.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Now we gotta issue here, Pastor. Brother amost O'Neil, who
- 23:33Speaker 1: has a hump in his back is one of the
- 23:36Speaker 1: wise men in the Nativity scene. He is sitting on
- 23:40Speaker 1: one of the cameras. Now that's a lot of humps
- 23:43Speaker 1: in one scene. Pastor and the children are confused. What
- 23:47Speaker 1: should we do? Well, we must explain to the children
- 23:56Speaker 1: that at the Nativity scene that is where the beginning
- 24:01Speaker 1: was come as you are right, Just tell the children
- 24:08Speaker 1: that is too wise men and folk counsels you roll
- 24:16Speaker 1: for that. We are you gonna have to explain brother
- 24:21Speaker 1: Amos O'Neil's humped to him passed. I think that's the
- 24:24Speaker 1: brother Amos is also starring in our Halloween play The
- 24:29Speaker 1: hunch Back or Notre Dame. All right, it's still gonna
- 24:37Speaker 1: be confusing for the kid. Also, the Santa Claus footstool
- 24:43Speaker 1: at the mall, A lot of keys climbs on his
- 24:46Speaker 1: back to get up on Santa Claus lab When you
- 24:51Speaker 1: got hump everywhere we can, yes, we have, yes, we
- 24:55Speaker 1: have all right. I hope this doesn't offend Brother Jay
- 24:59Speaker 1: Anton and the um passed the big Gunny Yard bro
- 25:03Speaker 1: lost both big toes due to diabetes. He's asking that
- 25:08Speaker 1: the church get him some sandals made that the material
- 25:12Speaker 1: would come between his third and fourth toath so he
- 25:15Speaker 1: can balance better. But specially made sandals A three hundred
- 25:20Speaker 1: and fifty out of the past. So that's gonna be
- 25:21Speaker 1: your call. Pass. I was thinking about this over the weekend.
- 25:29Speaker 1: He had read up into him, but he didn't run.
- 25:34Speaker 1: That's the show, not with them to I read up
- 25:41Speaker 1: into him at the Dallas Shoe Warehouse. Really, I was
- 25:48Speaker 1: done there. But for the girls, the new girls that
- 25:58Speaker 1: you're doing in bin laces him and what I had
- 26:07Speaker 1: suggestion to him wars by the regular flip flops and
- 26:13Speaker 1: put them on the wrong foot. Come on and then
- 26:27Speaker 1: make it through that third and fourth towel. Yeah, now
- 26:35Speaker 1: that were created among past. We are taking ministry Christmas
- 26:42Speaker 1: photos this coming week. Ministry Christmas photos this coming week.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Different ministries, but different ministries past it. You're gonna have
- 26:49Speaker 1: to step in. You're gonna have to tell all of
- 26:51Speaker 1: our ex cons that they are not a ministry and
- 26:55Speaker 1: will not be taking pictures. No one has stepped to
- 27:00Speaker 1: say anything to them yet because they scared, especially the
- 27:02Speaker 1: one they called killer J. He's the one that runs
- 27:06Speaker 1: the group. But somebody need to tell killer Ja that
- 27:09Speaker 1: they are not a ministry. But because we don't want
- 27:17Speaker 1: no problem. But the reception is none of them can
- 27:22Speaker 1: kneel while taking the photo. Now, we ain't gonna have
- 27:25Speaker 1: to take no photo. Yeah, they don't want to kneel anything.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Everybody wants to take that prison shot. That squat honey,
- 27:32Speaker 1: and that said, what is that the squat? What's that?
- 27:35Speaker 1: That's that photo that all inmates tris? Okay okay? Uh
- 27:44Speaker 1: let them oh okay okay. So they can't let them,
- 27:51Speaker 1: let them take the picture. Well, well we're gonna have to.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Who's gonna go intare and tell them they can't? All right?
- 28:03Speaker 1: Ain't the picture? Killing Jay can take the all right?
- 28:07Speaker 1: You can't run a church if you not. Hell you
- 28:12Speaker 1: pastor from the grave, killing J. Yeah, we don't let
- 28:17Speaker 1: him out taking fit all right, pastor. Deacon miss Anna's
- 28:21Speaker 1: up next with National News at the top of the hour.
- 28:23Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show. Our doctors are finding
- 28:30Speaker 1: that the number of middle age middle aged men who
- 28:33Speaker 1: injure themselves while having sex is on the rise, guys, Okay,
- 28:39Speaker 1: and they say adventurous sex is to blame for the spike.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I just heard myself the other night, did see. I'm sorry,
- 28:47Speaker 1: you're part of the statistics. My right league be cramping
- 28:50Speaker 1: all the time. When I hit a lock up pretty bad,
- 28:53Speaker 1: I had to strand it out. Yeah, and you all
- 28:56Speaker 1: comfortable with sharing that information. I had so much baby
- 29:00Speaker 1: on my hand. I was getting out the bed and
- 29:02Speaker 1: had my hand on the edge of the knife. Then
- 29:03Speaker 1: they slipped off out to him to bust my whole joe.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Feel like I thought ticing it with the right cross. Yeah,
- 29:17Speaker 1: most of the injuries are occurring in the shower, Steve.
- 29:20Speaker 1: That includes oh no, no, no, no no, no, that ain't
- 29:22Speaker 1: what they have. Man. One time, like a couple of
- 29:24Speaker 1: weeks ago, I was coming out the bedroom fast, coming
- 29:27Speaker 1: out the bathroom, real fair, and I dove on the bed,
- 29:31Speaker 1: but we had satin sheet and shot my ass straight
- 29:33Speaker 1: to the other side, sham dead into that day. Wall
- 29:37Speaker 1: had too much speed, too much trying to make a
- 29:44Speaker 1: glorious like baby, y'all come right across that sheet. It's
- 29:48Speaker 1: hard to fall in against the wall. When you nick,
- 29:51Speaker 1: it's always a performance, man, Huh, So you gotta perform, huh.
- 29:57Speaker 1: And then one time across the ball, walking across the
- 30:00Speaker 1: bottom of the footboard, you know, trying to do like
- 30:02Speaker 1: I was a balance being because sometimes I do like
- 30:04Speaker 1: individual performances before I started, and I was walking across
- 30:09Speaker 1: the bottom of the football like a balance beam, and
- 30:12Speaker 1: I had my foot I slipped off like I was
- 30:16Speaker 1: on damn balance me well, almost almost ruining my life.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I just fell off. That's what these stats is coming from. Wow. Well, anyway,
- 30:28Speaker 1: I don't worry about that story. And then the other
- 30:32Speaker 1: and the the other time I was. I was diving off
- 30:35Speaker 1: the doknob, which is like one of my specialties. Yeah,
- 30:39Speaker 1: on the dough knob and dive off the doknob, and
- 30:42Speaker 1: I come off in the swan dive and I bust
- 30:44Speaker 1: that into a jackknife. And I messed around and had
- 30:50Speaker 1: locked the dough but I had been on my hand
- 30:53Speaker 1: when I locked it dough. And I got up on
- 30:56Speaker 1: top of the dough knob with my right foot and
- 30:58Speaker 1: tried to push off and it slip and I never
- 31:01Speaker 1: made it to the injury Right there, I fail in
- 31:05Speaker 1: knocking face over a cup of chess open, you bleeding.
- 31:10Speaker 1: I wasn't bad, you know, just a little a couple
- 31:13Speaker 1: of scars, you know. Uh, this past when I tore
- 31:16Speaker 1: all the drapes down in the bed room, I had
- 31:20Speaker 1: put a lot baby all on both of us that
- 31:23Speaker 1: we was up against the wall and we started sliding
- 31:26Speaker 1: and I tried to stop to fall and grab the drapes,
- 31:29Speaker 1: but we kept falling. Yeah, and so I tore down
- 31:32Speaker 1: two sections of drapes. Window treatments are ruined. So you're
- 31:39Speaker 1: never in pain or anything so much so that you
- 31:41Speaker 1: can't you know that you have to cancel the night
- 31:43Speaker 1: or anything. Huh. You know, you know sometimes I had
- 31:46Speaker 1: to get you know, glass of scotch, you something to
- 31:48Speaker 1: get getting. Yeah, sometimes you gotta be willing to try
- 31:53Speaker 1: those shirts. Okay, But I didn't know all this about Steve.
- 31:56Speaker 1: That Yeah a lot, doesn't it. You got a lot
- 31:59Speaker 1: of yeah, yeah, all over them idot the bathtub one
- 32:04Speaker 1: time foot slipped on that slip ass tile flow and
- 32:10Speaker 1: I told so much stuff down off of that vanity.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Everything was in a lot of stuff. Are you falling?
- 32:20Speaker 1: You'd be trying to Butter is gonna do that? I
- 32:25Speaker 1: told a hot and cold Fawcett right after that, trying
- 32:30Speaker 1: to think right, Steve, Let's get to the news, ladies
- 32:35Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss Anne trip okay, trying to get out
- 32:39Speaker 1: of that baby. All thing this is Andrew put the
- 32:40Speaker 1: news and Washington the lawmakers finding rather slippery. I suppose
- 32:44Speaker 1: they're preparing for this week's House on House vote on
- 32:47Speaker 1: articles of impeachment leveled against Donald Trump. Now, the Full
- 32:50Speaker 1: House of Representatives is to vote on Wednesday on whether
- 32:53Speaker 1: the President abused his power by asking a foreign government
- 32:57Speaker 1: to announce a corruption investigation into his political right, and
- 33:00Speaker 1: also if the President obstructed Congress by flatly refusing to
- 33:03Speaker 1: honor one subpoena after another for documents and witnesses. When
- 33:07Speaker 1: the full House does convene, not one Republican is expected
- 33:11Speaker 1: to break ranks and vote to impeach, but a handful
- 33:13Speaker 1: of Democrats are expected to vote with the GOP not
- 33:17Speaker 1: to impeach President Trump. The Republican dominated US and and
- 33:20Speaker 1: when it gets it, by the way, I was expected
- 33:22Speaker 1: to acquit the commander in chief. Meanwhile, the new Jersey Democrat,
- 33:25Speaker 1: who represents a district won by Donald Trump in twenty sixteen,
- 33:29Speaker 1: appears to be ready to switch parties and join the GOP.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Congressman Jeff Van Drew has already stayed that he intends
- 33:35Speaker 1: voting against impeaching President Trump. Many of his members of
- 33:38Speaker 1: his staff are quitting. However, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Gerald
- 33:42Speaker 1: Nadler says that drew His planned political move is just that,
- 33:46Speaker 1: not a comment on the issue of impeachment. What he's
- 33:48Speaker 1: reacting to is a public polling that shows he can't
- 33:52Speaker 1: get renominated. His electorate in his district is twenty four
- 33:56Speaker 1: percent to renominate him, in the sixty percent to nominate somebody. Congressmanedler,
- 34:00Speaker 1: who was on ABC's This Week, says that the move
- 34:02Speaker 1: to impeach Donald Trump is not political, but rather one,
- 34:05Speaker 1: he says, in defense of America's democracy. The next Democratic
- 34:09Speaker 1: debate is scheduled for this Thursday in Los Angeles, but
- 34:12Speaker 1: this event is to take place on the Loyola Marymountain
- 34:15Speaker 1: University campus, where food service workers have been walking the
- 34:19Speaker 1: picking line since November. The union that represents the subcontractor
- 34:22Speaker 1: that employs more than one hundred and fifty kitchen workers
- 34:25Speaker 1: canceled more than canceled contract negotiations recently, all seven of
- 34:29Speaker 1: the candidates who made the cut this time say they
- 34:31Speaker 1: will refuse to cross any picking line. Sad news. Richard Hatcher,
- 34:35Speaker 1: the former mayor of Gary, Indiana, has died at age
- 34:38Speaker 1: eighty six. Hatcher became the first African American mayor of
- 34:41Speaker 1: a big US city when he was elected in nineteen
- 34:43Speaker 1: sixty seven. Hatchers served five terms. From the World of Entertainment,
- 34:47Speaker 1: sorrel that actor Danny A. Yellow has died. A Yellow
- 34:50Speaker 1: was also eighty six years old. He received an Oscar
- 34:53Speaker 1: nomination for perhaps his most famous role, playing the Pizza
- 34:57Speaker 1: Parla owner and do the Right Thing. He received an
- 34:58Speaker 1: Oscar nod for that. At the weekend box office, Frozen two,
- 35:01Speaker 1: after three weeks at the top, saw down a little
- 35:04Speaker 1: bit to second place. The new Jamanji Next Level was
- 35:06Speaker 1: number one. I remember in your hands. I have one
- 35:10Speaker 1: important question. Who is Jimani? Is that Barbara's boy? We
- 35:16Speaker 1: did die? I knew Jamanji. The Next Level brought in
- 35:19Speaker 1: more than sixty million dollars in the US and Canada.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 35:24Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve introduced him.
- 35:28Speaker 1: He's here. Well, I don't feel like being in the
- 35:34Speaker 1: Christmas big he is. No, no, I don't. I don't
- 35:38Speaker 1: write happy Christmas songs because there's enough of those happy
- 35:45Speaker 1: Christmas songs getting lost in the shuffle all deck the halls.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Who the hell want to hit that old right for
- 35:55Speaker 1: the sad and down track, grint all the way hit
- 36:04Speaker 1: it Hello. Then it's Christmas time again. I can't believe
- 36:19Speaker 1: it's in man a soul on pripe time, just as
- 36:30Speaker 1: leave by, I'm stealing it from my Alloween night by.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I haven't taking pine. Damn, it's Christmas as criding, friding,
- 36:46Speaker 1: people inside fiding. I'd rather last week on the show,
- 36:55Speaker 1: O lady please nobody my can't even push my wallet
- 37:10Speaker 1: just says no way, O damn Christmas just shock Christmas love,
- 37:22Speaker 1: Christmas happen from Christmas. No hos ho ho, you're a
- 37:34Speaker 1: mean one, mister Graham ja singing to somebody somebody refused
- 37:43Speaker 1: if you heard some notes to any happy Christmas songs
- 37:46Speaker 1: out there? Every year, somebody got a Christmas album, Happy
- 37:53Speaker 1: happy that I'm in a I'm in the lane all
- 37:56Speaker 1: by myself, you are? I want to be more of
- 38:00Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty four
- 38:02Speaker 1: minutes after the hour you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 38:08Speaker 1: So go on, nephew with your little segment. Well, you know,
- 38:10Speaker 1: it's just it's that time of the year, surely, and
- 38:12Speaker 1: it's good for some people, and then some people have
- 38:15Speaker 1: to make adjustments. You understand I'm saying side pieces have
- 38:19Speaker 1: to make adjustments. You understand that. And I want to
- 38:22Speaker 1: talk to all of y'all. Here's one. I just listen.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Don't find out what mall I'm going to because I
- 38:30Speaker 1: don't need you at that mall. Thank you understand what

- 38:39Speaker 1: can't be shopping with my family with all these bands
- 38:42Speaker 1: free and see and then see you. He gonna concentrate
- 38:46Speaker 1: on getting getting cookies for the kids, and look up,
- 38:51Speaker 1: that affects our relationship later when you see me shopping
- 38:54Speaker 1: with my just don't go to the mall he at all.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Don't go to them all at all. I'm good with

- 39:26Speaker 1: and my family and there. You don't need to see
- 39:29Speaker 1: that because you don't want to be that. Yeah, you
- 39:33Speaker 1: see shadows of us walking around. Don't send me a

- 46:11Speaker 1: you know what, maybe man, you need to square of

- 51:19Speaker 1: go back and hold on tight. We got it for
- 51:22Speaker 1: you here. It is a Strawberry letter, Thank you, nephew. Subject,
- 51:25Speaker 1: how well do you know your neighbors? Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 51:29Speaker 1: I've been married to a wonderful man for almost thirty years.
- 51:33Speaker 1: He's an excellent father and provider. But over the years
- 51:37Speaker 1: I have spent a lot of time alone in my marriage.
- 51:40Speaker 1: At one point, I was very lonely. There was a
- 51:43Speaker 1: lot of love and kindness, but no passion. A neighbor
- 51:47Speaker 1: and I would talk occasionally, and he picked up on
- 51:50Speaker 1: my extreme loneliness and saw that I was vulnerable. He
- 51:53Speaker 1: used it to his advantage and we ended up having sex.
- 51:58Speaker 1: I'm not placing all of the lame on my neighbor,
- 52:01Speaker 1: because I am a grown woman and I knew better.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Loneliness was no excuse to step out on my marriage.
- 52:08Speaker 1: My neighbor and I had our little fling for two months,
- 52:11Speaker 1: and then he started avoiding me. I was glad it
- 52:13Speaker 1: was over and I put it behind me. Well. Now,
- 52:16Speaker 1: a year later, my neighbor has started contacting me again
- 52:20Speaker 1: for sex. I told him that I'm no longer in
- 52:23Speaker 1: that dark place in my marriage and I'm not interested
- 52:26Speaker 1: in cheating on my husband. He told me that he
- 52:29Speaker 1: would not take no for an answer. He has been quiet, Tommy.
- 52:35Speaker 1: He has been continually texting me and calling my cell phone.
- 52:39Speaker 1: After I had ignored him for a few days, he
- 52:41Speaker 1: got desperate and threatened to send pictures to my husband.
- 52:45Speaker 1: He said he has pictures of me naked and pictures
- 52:47Speaker 1: of us having sex. He said he will text these
- 52:50Speaker 1: pictures to my husband if I keep refusing to have
- 52:54Speaker 1: sex with him. I don't know what to do. I
- 52:58Speaker 1: had no idea that he took pictures of me. He
- 53:01Speaker 1: may just be bluffing but I can't take that risk.
- 53:04Speaker 1: He discussed me, and I don't want him to touch
- 53:07Speaker 1: me ever. Again. I'm really afraid of this man. Now
- 53:10Speaker 1: what should I do? Wow? Yeah, this is really serious.
- 53:14Speaker 1: You don't have a whole lot of options here, because
- 53:17Speaker 1: you know, first of all, definitely don't do this. Don't
- 53:21Speaker 1: give in to him. Okay, don't give into his whole
- 53:24Speaker 1: blackmail thing. Don't do that. He discussed you. He discussed
- 53:27Speaker 1: me too. My instincts say, though about the pictures and
- 53:33Speaker 1: about him texting them to your husband, that he could
- 53:35Speaker 1: be bluffing, because why did he wait so long to
- 53:38Speaker 1: bring them out. You know, there's a lot that you
- 53:41Speaker 1: left out of the letter that you didn't tell us.
- 53:45Speaker 1: But the question then becomes, is that a chance you're
- 53:48Speaker 1: willing to take to Paul his bluff. It's just so
- 53:51Speaker 1: strange that you left the part of the letter out
- 53:54Speaker 1: about a whole year going by and you guys having
- 53:56Speaker 1: no contact and your neighbors, you know, he avoiding you
- 54:00Speaker 1: at first, So I mean, that's just interesting. It's rather odd.
- 54:05Speaker 1: I mean, you all had no contact, no side eye
- 54:08Speaker 1: when you came out of the house, and he came
- 54:09Speaker 1: out of the house at the same time. No glances exchanged,
- 54:12Speaker 1: no words exchange, no texting within a whole year. It's
- 54:16Speaker 1: just odd. I mean, you know I have to tell
- 54:19Speaker 1: you that I think I don't know. I might have
- 54:23Speaker 1: to just write this one out and definitely not tell
- 54:25Speaker 1: my husband until you absolutely have to or not. Other
- 54:30Speaker 1: than that, I don't know what to tell you to
- 54:31Speaker 1: do besides move or something. Steve, you ain't got to move,
- 54:36Speaker 1: You ain't got to move. Hold on, let me go
- 54:39Speaker 1: through the letter. But this might not even take the
- 54:41Speaker 1: whole damn break. Okay. I spent a lot of time
- 54:44Speaker 1: my loan, my marriage. At one point I was lonely.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Love and kindness but no passion. Neighbor and I talk.
- 54:51Speaker 1: He picked up on my extreme loneliness, and he saw
- 54:54Speaker 1: that I was vulnerable. He used it to his advantage
- 54:56Speaker 1: and we ended up having sex. You told him this
- 55:00Speaker 1: or reason you shared this for a reason you like
- 55:03Speaker 1: you said, yo letter, you grown. I'm not placing all
- 55:06Speaker 1: the blame on my neighbor because I'm grown woman and
- 55:08Speaker 1: I knew better. Yeah, okay, so take that part out
- 55:11Speaker 1: your damn letter. You just had sex with the man
- 55:13Speaker 1: because you wanted to. He didn't take advantage of nothing.
- 55:16Speaker 1: You told him you was lonely, you liked the attention
- 55:20Speaker 1: you was getting. He was looking at you with passion,
- 55:23Speaker 1: and you liked that look in his eye. So now
- 55:26Speaker 1: y'all had sex. Okay, done, Okay, Loneliness was no excuse
- 55:30Speaker 1: step out of my marriage. My neighbor and I had
- 55:32Speaker 1: our little fleeing for two months, and then he started
- 55:36Speaker 1: avoiding me. Now, let's talk about this, right. He started
- 55:39Speaker 1: avoiding you? Why because someone found out or it wasn't good.
- 55:48Speaker 1: No more, you avoid a person to not be in
- 55:52Speaker 1: that situation, to stop any doubt or questions or anything,
- 55:57Speaker 1: or either it just wasn't good. I don't think it
- 56:00Speaker 1: wasn't it wasn't good. Part. I think somebody was getting
- 56:03Speaker 1: close because he your neighbor who he lived with, see
- 56:06Speaker 1: where his wife where his significant other? Because he got one.
- 56:11Speaker 1: So either the wife or a significant other was questioning him.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I was glad as went over and I put it
- 56:16Speaker 1: behind me. Well, now a year later, my neighbor has
- 56:19Speaker 1: started contacting me again for sex. I told him I'm
- 56:22Speaker 1: no longer in that dog place in my marriage and
- 56:24Speaker 1: I'm not interested in cheating on my husband. He told
- 56:28Speaker 1: me he would not take no for an answer, So
- 56:30Speaker 1: what you've benna? Do you've benna? Take it? Because you
- 56:32Speaker 1: just said no? So what's the next movie? He gonna
- 56:34Speaker 1: take it? He's continually texting me and calling my cell phone.
- 56:38Speaker 1: After ignored him for a few days, he got desperate
- 56:41Speaker 1: and threatened to see him pictures to my husband. If
- 56:45Speaker 1: I keep refusing to have sexually, sending the damn picture,
- 56:50Speaker 1: tell him to send it. After he's sending this picture
- 56:54Speaker 1: to your husband. What he thinks your husband gonna do?
- 56:58Speaker 1: Matter of fact, called him back and say, you ain't
- 57:00Speaker 1: gotta send it. I'm a tony he on the way
- 57:02Speaker 1: over there. Hang on, Steve, hang on, send it. You're long.
- 57:07Speaker 1: It's gonna take more than one break, all right, and
- 57:09Speaker 1: we're gonna have part of two of your response coming
- 57:12Speaker 1: up and spend it twenty three after the hour's subject.
- 57:15Speaker 1: How well do you know your neighbor? I wish you were.
- 57:18Speaker 1: We'll be back at twenty three after you're listening show.
- 57:24Speaker 1: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's strawberry letters.
- 57:27Speaker 1: This woman was lonely had sex with her next do neighbor.
- 57:30Speaker 1: He took advantage of it. It's real simple. She was lonely.
- 57:34Speaker 1: She got involved with the next do neighbor. They had sex.
- 57:36Speaker 1: They had a fleeing for two months. She stopped. They
- 57:39Speaker 1: hadn't talked for a year. He didn't call it back.
- 57:42Speaker 1: He wants sex now. She nodded. That dog place in
- 57:44Speaker 1: her marriage. People make mistakes. It happens in a better place.
- 57:48Speaker 1: She don't want to do that no more. He says,
- 57:50Speaker 1: he ain't taking no full answer, Well, the answer no,
- 57:52Speaker 1: So what you can do? So what he's been taken? Now? Oh,
- 57:56Speaker 1: you finn to go over there and give him some
- 57:58Speaker 1: don't do it sex? What is that? Nobody won't know.
- 58:03Speaker 1: Don't do it sex. It ain't done. Yeah, don't do it.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Nobody won't know you. You ought to just give him something.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Let him see he ain't gonna want it. Don't do
- 58:14Speaker 1: it sex. Don't hurt me. Sex ain't good. That ain't
- 58:18Speaker 1: you're gonna You're gonna hurt me him. That's not good sex.
- 58:21Speaker 1: But you ain't got to worry about this. He threatening you.
- 58:24Speaker 1: He desperate, he said, he's threatening to seeing pictures to
- 58:28Speaker 1: your husband. He said he got pictures of me naked
- 58:31Speaker 1: and pictures us having sex. Really, so, he said, if
- 58:36Speaker 1: we don't have sexual here, he gonna send the picture,
- 58:38Speaker 1: send it. Yeah, see see this this go two ways.
- 58:42Speaker 1: If he's send it to your husband. What do you
- 58:45Speaker 1: think your husband that still if not to be Come on, dog,
- 58:50Speaker 1: you gonna send it to me. See now he goes.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Your husband gonna be mad at you. Problem that does
- 58:57Speaker 1: want your best? Believe you think you strong enough to
- 59:02Speaker 1: send me pictures? Or you having sexual my wife? You
- 59:05Speaker 1: thought that was gonna be cool. You thought her hands
- 59:08Speaker 1: were gonna be in trouble. So you're gonna play me
- 59:10Speaker 1: shot man to man, You're just gonna put it in
- 59:13Speaker 1: my face here, This is what I did to your girl, Pardner.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Let me tell you how this man ain't finning to
- 59:20Speaker 1: send no picture. Oh, I hope you're listening right now.
- 59:24Speaker 1: You have no idea. Ain't no man fitting to send
- 59:27Speaker 1: that picture? You sending that picture to your husband? Look
- 59:32Speaker 1: what I was doing to your girl? Hold up, look
- 59:35Speaker 1: what I was doing to your wife? You think he
- 59:38Speaker 1: gonna send that picture? Hear? How you stop this right here?

- 1:00:30Speaker 1: cannot send your husband this picture. He can't. Now he
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: can blur his face out if he won't, to think

- 1:03:41Speaker 1: doing another thing, meaning the thing that you might not
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: be doing should be the thing you should do. For instance,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: what how about we've blessed the food before we take
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: pictures of the damn for the Graham Baby for the
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: follow you know, blest food. First. I thin't got Fridays
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: mixed up. That's just mean. I agree so so so.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I got a friend named Lenard, just brought him a
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: brand new Lexus. He fought it, he fought it, but
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: he stayed at his mama house. Now is that prod
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: you gotta mixed up? Down? He's gonna Lexus in front
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: of your mama house and you ain't got a place
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: to stay. I think if you're trying to make a
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: decision on whether you're gonna buy some new clothes or
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: some groceries to buy the clothes, something's wrong with you.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: You got your priorties mixed up. I'm s I'm sorry,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I don't mean. I don't mean no harm eat your
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: you got your ride is mixed up. I'm just trying
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: to figure out because I live in LA and I
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: see this a lot. What is the cutoff age of
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: a dude with a beard on a skateboard? That's all
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: my maskt I ain't man see it all the time.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: How you look like a shepherd but you on a
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: skateboard makes no sense. Mixed up. This is something I
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: can't understand. You sit, didn't talk to me with all
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: designer clothes on, but you got teeth missing where we
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: had with you? Come on, you everything, but look down,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: don't you see that's good? Your priority is mixed up?
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Land about you when they're missing that side too, oh
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: my side one? See that man? You got one thing?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: You at the bus stop. I pull up in a
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: raggedy car. You laughing at my car? Right? Yeah? Hey,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: this this to laugh? All right? More of this crazy
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: ignorant show. Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this, you're
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. What you got? Jay?
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: This is just stuff that loses say when the team
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: when the team is losing, just things they say. At
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: least they got championship ring. What's your team got? What
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: he had to do with said that? You can't say
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: you got one? Hey, damn, just one word. That's it.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: That's one word, Tommy, you got to beat alright, come on, Steve,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I know he doesn't really want to play. I'm an
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: alumni member, dash right, I'm with them when they win,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you know, damn with all them kids of age. Alright,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: no go at nine. Some people say when their team
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: is losing, come on, let's go turning on the old
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: to bad mitten. Just just turned it to bad mitten.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I didn't get any of that. Come on the reluctant one.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I can't believe it's Sunday. I tell you what they
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: losing stuff people say when the team lose, I lose
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: because they got that white boy quarterback. And this is
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: what they say. What they say that when they lose him.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: You don't even know how to play so long, E
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: know why you talking? I get out a lot, don't play,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: So just stop watching tearing to the hockey game. Let's
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: just watch that. Uh, anybody told the Browns we supposed
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: to be playing like anybody told the Browns we supposed
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: to be playing time? He can't to keep let them run,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: get real man, flag football. It don't matter to me.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I ain't got no money on the game. No damn
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: rationalize that thing people say when the team is losing, you,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I'm about to burn this jerse talk. I'm gonna set
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: your damn jerks on fire. Keep playing last week. I
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: don't know why they's gonna sell the damn team. Come on, Steve,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: I'm really from Phila, deal, not even from a whole
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: another city. Keep on running your mouth. You're about to
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: piss me off. I'll tell you what he would. Why
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: they're winning. They got a lot of Pro Bowl players,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: got a lot of people in Pro Bowl on the team.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: That's why we ain't got but two here here, this one.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Somebody really got up to here. I'm gonna tell you
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: right now, you're gonna mess around them cowboys. Help you
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: get yours right now? They say that for real, really
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: say that people say when their team is living. Mister
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, all right, I'm gonna say this and get
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: on out this when you really don't have a logical
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: explanation as to why your team keep losing Sunday out
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the Sunday. You're ready. Count the white people on the team, Steve, No, no,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: got exactly, get the whole white people on. I got one.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I got one. That's the end. That's got seven white
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: people team. Don't you can't win with seven white people
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: but the whole Yeah, you talking about you at that point, always, yeah,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: that's what you just yea. All right, we'll be back
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: You're listening to show there is a shortage of the
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: most popular Christmas tree and if you can't get your
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: favorite tree for Christmas, thanks the two thousand and eight recession. Okay,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: it's called the Noble fur. That's the one that's considered
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: the long standing symbol associated with the Christmas season. But
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: this year they may be hard to come by. Guys
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: a Pacific North Northwest Christmas Tree Association, they said there's
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: a tree shortage all across the country. The organization says
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: a shortage is due to the great recession that happened
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: back in two thousand and eight when there was a
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: huge surplus, promoting growers to plant fewer trees to save money. Okay,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: so US shoppers can't expect a smaller out of trees
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: to pick from, and the trees that are available will
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: likely cost nearly ten percent more. Yeah, yeah, I already
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: have my tree. Three hustlers got them got that tree
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: man sling tree, treble fir. The tree is eighty nine dollars.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: What was that down in good times? That soul everything had?
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: That was lin Man? Yeah, but you never worked with Lenny. Yes,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: I did. My name is Linn and you ain't had
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: any until you try, sweet Linny. And it tain't me
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: that I got some cough drops and potions and cups
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: of hot I'm not even nose a throat, but I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: can fix your whole body. Now. I got a hot
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: water bottle. If you want it, you can take it,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: or a whole set of bad pants, just in case
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: you can't make all right, more of this crazy ignorant show.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Steven Show. All right, Steve introduced him. He's here. Well,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I don't feel like being in the Christmas bid. He is, No,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I don't. I don't write happy Christmas songs because there's
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: enough of those happy, happy Christmas songs get lost in
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: the shuffle, all deck the halls. Who the hell want
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: to hit that? Over and over right for the sad
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: and down track Grinch all the way hit it. Hello,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: it's Christmas time again. I can't believe it's in man
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: a soul on prip. The time just passed. Leave by
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: stealing Kenny from a Halloween. But I haven't taken part o.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Damn is Christmas as over friding friding people inside a fiding.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I'd rather last week on the show, O lady, please
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: nobody my father love today. I can't even push the
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: ONW mobility just says no way, our damn is Christmas
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: just shot Chrismas love. Chris smiles. I've been Chris sms.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: You're a mean one, mister Gray singing to somebody, somebody
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: if you heard some notes to too many happy Christmas
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: songs out there? Every year somebody got a Christmas album
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Happy Happy that I'm in. I'm in the lane all
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: by myself. You are I want to be all right.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: We're coming back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, this is our last break
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: of the day. Steve's closing remarks. You don't want to
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: miss it. We'll be back at forty nine after the hour.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: All right here we are, last break of the day.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: It is time Steve to spread the word, spread the knowledge.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: In closing remarks today, I want to remind you all
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: of something and try to get you to understand a
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: very important concept that I've learned about success. If you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: stay in your comfort zone, that's where you'll fail. If
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: you stay in your comfort zone. That's where you'll failed.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Success is an uncomfortable process. Success requires you to step
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: out of your comfort zone into uncharted territory, untraveled paths,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: unsailed waters. You're going to have to go where you've
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: never gone. In order to get to where you've never been,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: You've got to step out of your comfort zone. Look,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: everybody would like to remain comfortable throughout their life, but
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: convenience is built through inconvenience. It's the only way to
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: have convenience. You have to be it has to be
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: built through inconvenience. I don't know if I told you
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: this the other day, but I was talking with the
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: guy at this fashion show. This guy was a tailor,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: very young Taylor from London, and he told me something
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: that his father told him that stuck with him. He said,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: why are you young? If you party now, you'll work
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: till you die? But why are you young? If you
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: work now, you can party till you die. Did you
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: understand that if while you're young, if you party now,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: you're gonna end up work until you die. But if
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: while you're young, you work now, when you get old,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: you can party till you die. That's that's the exchange.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Of life. But that would cause you to step outside
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: of your comfort zone. In order to be successful. That's
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: where you have to go, because success is not in
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: the comfort zone. I wish it was. I wish I
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: could lay in the bed longer. I wish I didn't
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: have to work as much as I do. I wish
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: man I could mail it in. I wish I could
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: call in and take off. I wish I had more
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: off days. I wish I could get five months off
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: to travel the world. I wish I could well. In
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: order to make any of those wishes, I won't possible.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: I got to put it in now. I got to
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: get myself uncomfortable because convenience is built through inconvenience. It's
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: not the other way around. It never will be. I
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: had some millennials on the show the other day and
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: we were having no incredible conversation about working and sacrificing,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: and one young man said, when an old people's mindset
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: gonna change because I don't like coming to work early
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: in the morning. I do better if I can come
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: in around noon. And old people's mind set and needs
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: to get getting used to the new way. And he
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: had a valid point because with technology so many people
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: can work from home now because of technology. People got computers.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: A lot of work is done on a computer. And
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: I told him, I said, that's great. I said, it's
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: great what you're saying, and it may be eventually it
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: will turn that way. I said, but the problem you
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: got the baby June, the baby boomer generation, the dudes
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: that's fifty and sixty, my generation, well, we don't want
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to own the and we didn't get here coming in
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: at twelve. And we're not gonna sit here and watch
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: you come in here at twelve thinking you're gonna get it.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: And I said it for in reality that death doesn't work,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: young man, I said, I wish you the best. What
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: you're thinking, I say, but why don't you come behind
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: this technology you have with some hard work. If you
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: combine what you all have today with my work ethic,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: do you know how successful you would be? I said, So,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I got that you want to come in at noon,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: but that ain't hard work. We out here on the
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: West Coast. If you're sleep past six o'clock, I have
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: news for you. The stock market opened three hours at
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: nine a m. Easton the stock market is open. If

- 1:20:58Speaker 1: eight ball. It's not how it works. You build a
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: life of convenience to win convenience. Step outside your comfort zone.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Get out of it. It will serve you well because
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: if you stay in your comfort zone, that's where you
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: will fail. Get out of your comfort zone. It will
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: serve you well, because if you stay in it, that's
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: where you will fail. I just thought of that, right then, Wow,
