- 0:15Speaker 1: MILLI buck things in the stubbings not true good string
- 0:24Speaker 1: to the mother. Please, I don't join jo. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turning you are you gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Turn you love, got to turn them out.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Then turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:59Speaker 1: your baby now. Uh huh, I show will good morning
- 2:04Speaker 1: everybody you're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now.
- 2:08Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey oh Man got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Man got a radio show and a whole lot mold too, man.
- 2:16Speaker 1: God is good to me. I have no other explanation,
- 2:19Speaker 1: if I have no other explanation of my existence and
- 2:23Speaker 1: where I stand in this thing called life, except if
- 2:26Speaker 1: it was not for the goodness of God Almighty. If
- 2:30Speaker 1: it was not for His grace and his mercy, There's
- 2:33Speaker 1: no way I could exist the way that I do.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I would not be who I am or where I am.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I am who I am and where I am simply
- 2:43Speaker 1: because God is who he is. If it was not
- 2:48Speaker 1: for God, I would have no testimony for you, because
- 2:52Speaker 1: I would have failed every single test plain, pure and simple.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I can sit here today until you flat out that
- 3:03Speaker 1: it is purely because of God's grace and mercy that
- 3:08Speaker 1: I exist today because of His favor. See now He
- 3:12Speaker 1: shows us favor in life because of a combination of
- 3:17Speaker 1: things I've discovered. And this is not the whole answer
- 3:21Speaker 1: to life. I can assure you as not. But this
- 3:24Speaker 1: is a combination that I've grown to understand better and better,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and I wish I had gotten it earlier in my life.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But here it is. If you take faith and you
- 3:38Speaker 1: combine it with an incredible work ethic, then God has
- 3:48Speaker 1: the greatest opportunities to show you favor. That's the best
- 3:55Speaker 1: way I can explain success to you from my standpoint.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It is the combination of faith and work that produces
- 4:04Speaker 1: the most opportunities for God to show you favor. See
- 4:09Speaker 1: a lot of times we want God to bless us,
- 4:11Speaker 1: but we ain't doing nothing for him to bless So
- 4:14Speaker 1: now we sideways in the equation a little bit. But see,
- 4:18Speaker 1: if you had the faith in God that God can
- 4:22Speaker 1: do anything but fail, that God will get you through,
- 4:26Speaker 1: that God will see you through, that that God is
- 4:29Speaker 1: the God you serve as the greatest gift of all
- 4:32Speaker 1: good things, if you kept that faith intact through it all,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and you produced an incredible work ethic that allows the
- 4:42Speaker 1: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See without
- 4:48Speaker 1: that what you want God to do? See, you can
- 4:51Speaker 1: have faith and be sitting at the house watching TV.
- 4:55Speaker 1: There's nothing being produced, no opportunities for God to show
- 5:00Speaker 1: your favor. And you got to do some things man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: that you are uncomfortable doing or don't feel like doing,
- 5:09Speaker 1: or something that don't have the right payoff right in
- 5:11Speaker 1: front of your face, with the faith that it will
- 5:14Speaker 1: payoff later on. See, too many people are working for
- 5:18Speaker 1: the right now reward, and the right now reward is
- 5:22Speaker 1: not how it works. Sometimes the reward is coming later
- 5:25Speaker 1: on up the road. But the only way you can
- 5:28Speaker 1: know that is if you got to You got to
- 5:30Speaker 1: apply the faith and see the reason you don't know
- 5:34Speaker 1: that that's coming like that, or you have to have
- 5:37Speaker 1: faith to believe that it is coming. Because faith is
- 5:41Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. That's what
- 5:46Speaker 1: faith is. You know you're standing at let me give
- 5:49Speaker 1: you them. You're standing at the crosswalk with a walk
- 5:52Speaker 1: sign on it and the sign flashing on the corner
- 5:55Speaker 1: don't walk then that the signs say walk, What do
- 6:01Speaker 1: you think your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Is well, pretty good because guess what the signs say walk.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You can see the other side. There's other people in
- 6:11Speaker 1: the cross walk walking, So guess what you strike out blindly?
- 6:15Speaker 1: It don't take a lot of faith to get across
- 6:18Speaker 1: that street. That's that's That's not why I'm talking to
- 6:22Speaker 1: you about. I'm talking about the faith, the belief in
- 6:25Speaker 1: things that you cannot see, the faith that what I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: doing today, I believe in my heart of heart that
- 6:34Speaker 1: God wouldn't bring me this far to leave me. That
- 6:37Speaker 1: God is a true and living God, that he keeps
- 6:39Speaker 1: his promises, that later on, there's things that I'm working
- 6:42Speaker 1: towards right now gonna pay off later on. See, too
- 6:45Speaker 1: many people want to reward right now. See, that's not
- 6:49Speaker 1: the exhibition of faith. If it's the right thing to do,
- 6:54Speaker 1: if it's if it's a good thing to do, if
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's a just thing to do, see if it's seeing
- 7:00Speaker 1: in it it ain't God. You can just clear on
- 7:03Speaker 1: up right there. You can stop all the wandering. If
- 7:05Speaker 1: that's his voice talking to you, if it's the right
- 7:08Speaker 1: thing to do. If it's sin in it, it's not
- 7:12Speaker 1: God talking to you. Kill it. You you you can
- 7:16Speaker 1: shut it down. You ain't got to wonder about it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Go down there secrevenge. That ain't God. Go tell him
- 7:22Speaker 1: off when you see him. That ain't God. Anything that's
- 7:24Speaker 1: God's sin in it, is not God's voice telling you
- 7:27Speaker 1: to do it. So you can you can kill that
- 7:29Speaker 1: conversation to date. That's how you know. But if you
- 7:33Speaker 1: align yourself up man and you and what you're doing
- 7:35Speaker 1: is just and right and correct and pleasing in the
- 7:39Speaker 1: sight of God, it'll pay off for you later on.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And see here's here's here's the best way I can
- 7:47Speaker 1: tell to it. Here's another one. When you're going somewhere,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when you're when you're on the road to going somewhere,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and you know the somewhere that you're trying to get to.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Let's say you've set a goal of vision for yourself,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you know where you want to get to, You got
- 8:03Speaker 1: a good idea, and you own your way to going there.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Listen to me when it gets hard, and it is
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to get hard, when it gets difficult, and it
- 8:14Speaker 1: is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: it is going to become challenging when it becomes all
- 8:21Speaker 1: three of those things. When it don't look like it's
- 8:23Speaker 1: gonna happen, don't stop and complain so much. But see,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I know he didn't bless me. But in the middle
- 8:31Speaker 1: of it, man, I felt a little heavy. And you
- 8:34Speaker 1: got to be careful when it gets hard for you,
- 8:36Speaker 1: because you'll find yourself complaining. And when you're complaining. See,
- 8:41Speaker 1: what you can't do is you can't complain so much
- 8:44Speaker 1: that you forget that the place that you're trying to
- 8:48Speaker 1: go to, you actually own your way there still. See,
- 8:53Speaker 1: don't get caught up into complaining and then lose sight
- 8:56Speaker 1: of your blessing that's actually happening. It to you, what
- 8:59Speaker 1: real man of all the times to register a complaint
- 9:03Speaker 1: to God to sit up and go, hey, man, I
- 9:06Speaker 1: didn't want wanted to ease back into this thing. Ease
- 9:09Speaker 1: back in, man, you in it's it's a tornado world
- 9:13Speaker 1: around you. You ain't got time to ease back in.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You got it going and jump back in it. It
- 9:17Speaker 1: is what it is to whom much is given, much
- 9:20Speaker 1: is required. Always appreciate the blessings. Don't get so caught
- 9:24Speaker 1: up into complaints that you lose sight of the blessings. Man.
- 9:26Speaker 1: God got a lot for you in your life, man,
- 9:29Speaker 1: but you gotta have them two things, y'all. You gotta
- 9:31Speaker 1: take that faith and you got to apply a crazy
- 9:35Speaker 1: work ethic to it. And that creates the most opportunities
- 9:40Speaker 1: for God to show your favor. And when God starts
- 9:42Speaker 1: showing your favor, man, all of them seeds you planted,
- 9:46Speaker 1: all of that, all of that wheat you've been sewing,
- 9:49Speaker 1: all of that hard work you've been put in, God
- 9:51Speaker 1: will pay it off. And he'll pay it off in
- 9:54Speaker 1: ways that you don't even see coming. Okay, cool, you're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Morning show, Ladies and gentlemen, May I have your undivided attention.
- 10:10Speaker 1: It is time for the Steve Harvey Morning Show, brought
- 10:17Speaker 1: to you by ignorance, Tom Foolery, heavy doses of blackish
- 10:32Speaker 1: mixed with a spoon of hilarity. We might get to
- 10:36Speaker 1: some motivation, but we tied this week, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:40Speaker 1: Steve Harby Morny Show was happening to everybody. Shirley Strawberry, Hey,

- 12:04Speaker 1: in pain. Yeah, but do but strong, fighting through like
- 12:08Speaker 1: a soldier. Lady Jim and nephew Thommy, yah ya ain't
- 12:14Speaker 1: in the building. I'm here Friday morning. I supposed to do. Yo.
- 12:19Speaker 1: We love our Fridays, don't we, even though not really
- 12:23Speaker 1: even though yeah, they feel just like a wind together. Yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: it's all, it's all the same. But today, yeah, I
- 12:35Speaker 1: am going to play golf. Nice mask. You heard her
- 12:43Speaker 1: her already struggle with the game, but I can't do
- 12:48Speaker 1: it wheezing through that damn thick as man. Yeah, I'm
- 12:55Speaker 1: gonna be social. I'm you know, it's it's different way
- 13:00Speaker 1: they do it on the golf courses now. A lot
- 13:03Speaker 1: of times you have to walk and everybody has their
- 13:06Speaker 1: own card. You can't know two people on the same car.
- 13:11Speaker 1: That's good. And the starter sits there and watches you
- 13:13Speaker 1: take off, and you gotta stay certain this is away
- 13:16Speaker 1: from each other. Just go to your ball and hit.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I enjoy it. So it'll be fine that my golf
- 13:21Speaker 1: tournament is tomorrow, and so I'm gonna play golf one
- 13:25Speaker 1: day to get ready for I won't be ready. I'll
- 13:30Speaker 1: play the same as I do the day to mom.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So okay, just be careful out there, Steve, All right,
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, ask
- 13:40Speaker 1: the CLO for this Friday. Right after this, you're listening
- 13:45Speaker 1: to show coming up next hour, Charlie Wilson. Uncle Charlie
- 13:51Speaker 1: will be our special. Looking forward to that, right, Yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 1: but uh huh, it's been a minute. But first it
- 13:57Speaker 1: is time to ask the CLO. The Chief love officer
- 14:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Steve, Here we go. This one's from Millicent
- 14:04Speaker 1: in New Orleans. She says, I'm thirty years old and
- 14:07Speaker 1: my dad came in my life six years ago. My
- 14:09Speaker 1: dad was already married when my mom got pregnant with me,
- 14:12Speaker 1: so I grew up without him in my life. I
- 14:15Speaker 1: met his wife a few months after I reconnected with him.
- 14:19Speaker 1: His wife explained how my dad kept me as a
- 14:22Speaker 1: secret for years because my mom was a one night
- 14:25Speaker 1: stand after he'd been drinking one night. I was furious
- 14:30Speaker 1: because my dad was with my mom for four years
- 14:33Speaker 1: and they went on trips together, and he was in
- 14:36Speaker 1: the delivery room when I was born. Should I show
- 14:39Speaker 1: his wife the receipts? Or should I let it go?
- 14:42Speaker 1: Not well makes Walks brown. She wants to have a
- 14:53Speaker 1: story to tell that makes her see her adequate for
- 14:58Speaker 1: some reason, cause to rum and meet a young woman
- 15:01Speaker 1: who hasn't had a relationship with her father in twenty
- 15:04Speaker 1: four years, and that's the story you want to tell.
- 15:08Speaker 1: You were kept a secret because you are one night stand.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I mean, come on, lady, what's what's your purpose for
- 15:14Speaker 1: trying to mess this young lady's up relationship up? Like
- 15:18Speaker 1: that that's foul within itself. Now, with that being said,
- 15:25Speaker 1: do you return the foulness that she put out too wrong?
- 15:32Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think you should take the
- 15:35Speaker 1: high road. I think the important thing for here is
- 15:38Speaker 1: for you to have for whatever relationship you can have
- 15:41Speaker 1: with your dad. You know, it doesn't matter me and
- 15:46Speaker 1: make a lot of mistakes. I make mistakes as a
- 15:48Speaker 1: young man myself, me and make mistakes and have the
- 15:51Speaker 1: right to get it right and recover. What she didn't
- 15:54Speaker 1: have the right to do was coming here and bust
- 15:56Speaker 1: your bubble with all that information that she should have
- 16:00Speaker 1: the bigger woman. But because she not a big woman,
- 16:04Speaker 1: don't mean you shouldn't be either. I think that God
- 16:07Speaker 1: will keep you in a better place if you take
- 16:09Speaker 1: the high road myself, That's what I would suggest. But
- 16:13Speaker 1: you know, if you're one of them days and you're
- 16:16Speaker 1: just feeling funky, go ahead, go ahead. You know, good advice, Steve.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I like that, Thank you? Yeah, Now I have for
- 16:25Speaker 1: you was the one night staying right right, all right?
- 16:29Speaker 1: Moving on. This one's from Verna in White Plains, New York.
- 16:32Speaker 1: She says, I've been married for fourteen years and I
- 16:35Speaker 1: love my husband dearly, but he stinks. Uh, he's in shape,
- 16:42Speaker 1: he has a healthy diet, but he smells like hot garbage.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I told him whatever he's eating isn't agreeing with his body,
- 16:51Speaker 1: so he switched up his diet and supplement. I got him.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I got him to take a shower as soon as
- 16:58Speaker 1: he gets home. But the smell comes back twenty minutes later.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It's not coming from a particular body part. It's not
- 17:06Speaker 1: his feet or his butt. It's just an overall odor.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I can't get in the mood for sex anymore. And
- 17:13Speaker 1: he thinks that because of other reasons. Should I tell
- 17:16Speaker 1: him he's funky? I mean, you told us the world
- 17:21Speaker 1: to him. I don't even understand how you ain't had
- 17:25Speaker 1: this conversation and you told us. And I'm gonna tell
- 17:29Speaker 1: you what he needs to do. He needs to take
- 17:32Speaker 1: one of those allergy exams, those that tells you what
- 17:36Speaker 1: your body is allergic to. It's a test that you
- 17:39Speaker 1: can take and you find out if you your body
- 17:42Speaker 1: doesn't respond, will the gluten is something and it could
- 17:44Speaker 1: be something that's subscreting out of his body that just
- 17:47Speaker 1: don't agree with him. But he's doing it anyway, and
- 17:49Speaker 1: the way it comes out is through his pose. He stank.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not standing nobody fourteen years on.
- 17:56Speaker 1: That's fourteen years that stank. That's funky. You can stak
- 18:00Speaker 1: this evening, but by tomorrow you need to make some
- 18:03Speaker 1: type of compection. We're not gonna do this every Christmas,
- 18:07Speaker 1: all the birthdays, in the New Year's Eve, by sad
- 18:10Speaker 1: to here you come again? They ain't a staink up
- 18:12Speaker 1: at the church? Now? Kind level of stinking? What kind
- 18:16Speaker 1: of level of stink is it? Though? Is it medium?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Low stain? You stink? You're a Bible study? You as
- 18:22Speaker 1: stink garbage? Why hot garbage is high stain? But if
- 18:28Speaker 1: it's a low stink, you might be at a time.
- 18:31Speaker 1: No such thing as low stink. Your ass s thank you?
- 18:33Speaker 1: Stink ain't no low star. I smell it. That's too
- 18:36Speaker 1: high and too damn much sitting up. Didn't hear my
- 18:41Speaker 1: eyes watering up? You just sitting over that drinking coffee?
- 18:44Speaker 1: What is the hell I'm in here for? Sitting over here?
- 18:47Speaker 1: We're in the car, it's winter time, it's thirty thirteen
- 18:50Speaker 1: degree where I got to get this window down because
- 18:53Speaker 1: I can't stay locked up here? Nothing worse than home.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Fucking ass frozen popsicle sitting up here. We all can't
- 19:05Speaker 1: go nowhere. You have to stow staking just walking through
- 19:08Speaker 1: the mass. Think it all right down at the movies?
- 19:11Speaker 1: People turn around? Who's back here? Is all right? Anonymous
- 19:16Speaker 1: in DC says, I've been working as a warehouse manager
- 19:19Speaker 1: for three years, and I have a big problem because
- 19:21Speaker 1: I've fallen in love with one of my employees. He
- 19:24Speaker 1: is married, has children and a nice home. I know
- 19:27Speaker 1: all of this because I stalk him on social media
- 19:30Speaker 1: and I've driven by his house a few times. I'm
- 19:32Speaker 1: a sexy woman in my mid thirties, and I know
- 19:35Speaker 1: he sees me, even flirts with me. Some days I
- 19:38Speaker 1: can't get him out of my mind. Should I approach
- 19:41Speaker 1: him and see what's up? Or would that be going
- 19:43Speaker 1: too far? Since I'm his boss? What damn? You stalk him?
- 19:50Speaker 1: That's scary you to drove by's house? Yeah, and he's married. Now,
- 19:56Speaker 1: let me say something to you, lady. And I don't
- 19:58Speaker 1: know how this go down on the radio, but you're
- 20:02Speaker 1: being his boss and everything with all the me too
- 20:05Speaker 1: stuff that's out there and HR Department and racial injustice
- 20:10Speaker 1: that's going out there, all of this here in COVID nineteen,
- 20:13Speaker 1: having broken up so many homes lately, in all of
- 20:16Speaker 1: this here, and I can go on and on and
- 20:18Speaker 1: on simply to guide you down this park way, to
- 20:22Speaker 1: get you to understand that you can drive by his
- 20:24Speaker 1: house and get your natchal ass. It's what I need
- 20:28Speaker 1: you to understand. His wife bet not to see you
- 20:34Speaker 1: driving by the damn house stalking him. You gonna get
- 20:40Speaker 1: Joe natche date all right, coming up, thank you, Cello.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Coming up next. The nephew in the building would run
- 20:51Speaker 1: that prank back right after this. You're listening so excited
- 20:58Speaker 1: about this. Coming up next, our uncle Charlie Wilson will
- 21:02Speaker 1: be our special guest. He is family around here and
- 21:05Speaker 1: we love him. Also, Miss Anna's standing by with today's
- 21:08Speaker 1: national headlines. Plus Carlos gonna tell us about the beet
- 21:12Speaker 1: Awards happening this Sunday night. Right now. The nephew is here,
- 21:15Speaker 1: would run that prank back. What you got for us? Now,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I've been to the penitentiary. I'm out. Your brother promised
- 21:23Speaker 1: me some things while we was in now and now
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'm calling you. It's time to pay the piper. I'm
- 21:29Speaker 1: Kate Dog ladies and gentlemen. Ladies, ladies and gentlemen. It's long.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Hey dog, let's go cat dog? Hey dog in the build. Hello.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm trying to reach I'm trying to reach Terence. Yeah,
- 21:47Speaker 1: this is Terence. Who's this? This Kate dog? Uh? His Brandon?
- 21:53Speaker 1: Your brother? Yeah, that's my brother. He locked up? While
- 21:56Speaker 1: what's up? Who call you? Cool? Hey? Look I just
- 21:59Speaker 1: got that. I was actually, uh, I was locked up
- 22:02Speaker 1: with your brother. We was on the same tier together.

- 31:17Speaker 1: If you ain't never, If you ain't never asked us
- 31:19Speaker 1: with Charlie, you ain't never. That's how you us with Charlie. Chryler,
- 31:26Speaker 1: man something. Man, You've been used to being on stages
- 31:29Speaker 1: and performing almost every weekend. Man, Well, how's it been
- 31:32Speaker 1: like since the quarantine? Well, you know I needed to
- 31:37Speaker 1: rest anyway. I've never had a vacation. I've never been off.
- 31:42Speaker 1: In all of those years I've been performing and making records,
- 31:45Speaker 1: I never had uh, like a vacation. So you know,
- 31:50Speaker 1: me and my wife was figured out. Man, our body
- 31:52Speaker 1: was hella tired. You know. We just fell asleep and
- 31:56Speaker 1: clept for four five days the first time we went
- 31:58Speaker 1: to sleepy five years of that. You know what It's like, Okay, okay,
- 32:08Speaker 1: it's time to just relax a little bit. In the
- 32:10Speaker 1: week we rested out for a little wilder than wee.
- 32:12Speaker 1: We jumped up just get ready to go back to work.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I was like, what do you mean work, get back
- 32:18Speaker 1: in that studio, let's go. I was like, oh, okay,
- 32:21Speaker 1: So that's what I did. And I've been doing that
- 32:23Speaker 1: ever since. But it's been great because people don't ever
- 32:27Speaker 1: see me too much, you know, because we don't go anywhere.
- 32:30Speaker 1: So home is what we always We always here anyway,
- 32:34Speaker 1: So all right, go back there and swim, go back
- 32:37Speaker 1: there and work out, get over that to the right
- 32:39Speaker 1: over there, and go make some music. We come back
- 32:42Speaker 1: and handsome go to bed and do the same thing
- 32:44Speaker 1: the next day. That's pretty good. I mean, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: you're handling it like a lot of people are a
- 32:48Speaker 1: lot of people are handling it the wrong way. I mean,
- 32:51Speaker 1: just take advantage of the time. I've looked at it
- 32:53Speaker 1: as an opportunity to relax and refreshing it sound Yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 1: that's what you've done. Read you man, that's it right there. Hey,
- 33:03Speaker 1: Charlie Man, then you're from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Man, with all
- 33:06Speaker 1: of this that's going on, the uprising, the president coming
- 33:10Speaker 1: to Oklahorea coming over, and U supposed to be twenty thousand,
- 33:18Speaker 1: supposed to be a million on it in but that
- 33:22Speaker 1: head fake coach, of course he can't count good, no way,
- 33:25Speaker 1: so he had all this, With all of this that's
- 33:27Speaker 1: going on, man, and with Tulsa. You you you probably,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I mean, I know you're more than familiar with the
- 33:34Speaker 1: history of Black Wall Street and everything that happened in Tulsa.
- 33:37Speaker 1: What's the climate for you now? How are you looking
- 33:41Speaker 1: at this social uprising for justice on behalf of black people.
- 33:46Speaker 1: What's some of your thoughts on the Childie? Well, you know,
- 33:50Speaker 1: you know I ain't very political, but let me just
- 33:51Speaker 1: say this. The way I've been watching um uh Black
- 33:56Speaker 1: Sands and everybody protesting and marching, I'm never all of
- 34:00Speaker 1: the years I've been living that I knew what I
- 34:03Speaker 1: was looking at. It's like I've never ever seen white
- 34:07Speaker 1: people almost more than black people, marching beside black people
- 34:14Speaker 1: and got signs in their hands, white people saying that
- 34:17Speaker 1: black lives matter. I've never ever ever seen that in
- 34:21Speaker 1: my whole life. So I just said, you know, I
- 34:24Speaker 1: hope that this is the generation could probably make a
- 34:26Speaker 1: distance connect to change. I mean, you know, we have
- 34:29Speaker 1: to vote, we have to do all these things to
- 34:30Speaker 1: help make this thing go on. But you know, it
- 34:33Speaker 1: just it looked it looked sexy for me to a point,
- 34:37Speaker 1: you know. I mean personally, I I wasn't ain't all
- 34:41Speaker 1: this sh about the looten, but you know what I'm saying,
- 34:44Speaker 1: sometimes that go with it. You get something one out
- 34:47Speaker 1: boys and it's like that go with it. Some of
- 34:49Speaker 1: it that just go sorry. But we personally, I don't.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I don't know too much. You know, I ain't that
- 34:55Speaker 1: ain't sect it for me. But hey man, it's looking
- 34:59Speaker 1: it's looking upward a little bit. I just think what
- 35:02Speaker 1: happened need to happen now is that you know, those
- 35:04Speaker 1: heads need to get together and these kids that's loving
- 35:08Speaker 1: what they got their signs, they're living what they're saying
- 35:11Speaker 1: and living what they're watching about. I just think they
- 35:13Speaker 1: need to keep on, you know, uh very carefully and
- 35:18Speaker 1: and uh and and and and and peacefully and just
- 35:21Speaker 1: make their point, just continue to set the thing is
- 35:24Speaker 1: is getting wrapped up because I think you know, they
- 35:27Speaker 1: just kilt they just kilt us over this last time.
- 35:30Speaker 1: This was it. This was the one that just tilt over,
- 35:32Speaker 1: just crashed and and it burned. To people, it's like
- 35:35Speaker 1: arm enough is enough, you know, it's just come on, man,
- 35:39Speaker 1: It's like you just think about all of the other
- 35:41Speaker 1: kids that didn't got the footing, the neck did Nobody
- 35:46Speaker 1: don't know how they died. It's so many. I'm not political,
- 35:48Speaker 1: so I'm gonna go the I'm gonna shut up in
- 35:49Speaker 1: a minute because my people start getting nervous. Okay, he's
- 35:52Speaker 1: going on a rant, so I'm gonna be quiet. You know,
- 35:54Speaker 1: they got my support, you know they got my support. Hey, Charlie,
- 35:59Speaker 1: hold on right there, ladies, and Jimmy, we'll be back
- 36:01Speaker 1: with more. Charlie Wilson, run after this. You're listening, all right, y'all,
- 36:07Speaker 1: we're back. We are on the phone. We're talking to
- 36:10Speaker 1: the legend, the hit maker himself, one of the greatest
- 36:15Speaker 1: living performers of all time, still to this day, legendary
- 36:19Speaker 1: Charlie Wilson. Now, Charlie, we would be a miss if
- 36:23Speaker 1: we did not talk about what the hell your ass
- 36:28Speaker 1: been up to in that day studio. Yes, I want
- 36:34Speaker 1: to hear all listen mess out right now? What is it? Man?
- 36:40Speaker 1: What you got coming off this new album? Well, you
- 36:43Speaker 1: know what, man, you know, Steve, I've always celebrated women
- 36:46Speaker 1: in all my records, and I'm still celebrating women because
- 36:49Speaker 1: I got a woman that deserves celebrated and and and
- 36:52Speaker 1: I know a lot of brothers got women to sell
- 36:54Speaker 1: it that they would love to be celebrated. And you know,
- 36:57Speaker 1: because they're holding down the home and and uh there's
- 37:01Speaker 1: are a center home and said love that center. That's
- 37:05Speaker 1: that's sitting. So that's what I've been doing. Man. You know,
- 37:08Speaker 1: I gotta just say this, I gotta I gotta pop
- 37:10Speaker 1: my collar one time, because I mean one time I
- 37:12Speaker 1: would say I gotta eat number one and this and that.
- 37:15Speaker 1: You said you got four. Man, was like, wait a minute,
- 37:20Speaker 1: I know I got level of stuff like that took.
- 37:23Speaker 1: He was like, you got four, Charlie, I was like,
- 37:25Speaker 1: got four Billboard number one. But you know what wild
- 37:28Speaker 1: spiece is that we had a guy doing radio for
- 37:31Speaker 1: us and doing all this stuff, and four those we
- 37:34Speaker 1: had we had uh four and four of them was
- 37:38Speaker 1: was ended up number two. And we talked that they
- 37:40Speaker 1: had got the number one time didn't We didn't kind
- 37:43Speaker 1: of check into paying attention. I was just going around bragging.
- 37:46Speaker 1: But when I found out, I said, Okay, I got
- 37:51Speaker 1: to catch up and I gotta break some records. So
- 37:52Speaker 1: this is what I'm gonna do. So it was like Lucivangels.
- 37:57Speaker 1: This was got billboard had the number one, most number
- 37:59Speaker 1: one records, build Luther Van Ross, it was R Kelly
- 38:03Speaker 1: and Maxwell. It was three guys that the most number one.
- 38:07Speaker 1: They had seven number one records. So I creeped up
- 38:10Speaker 1: on them. Your boy right here got seven with Forever Forever,
- 38:18Speaker 1: Valentine Somber eight right now and Uxe you No, no
- 38:26Speaker 1: you Lutheran. Maxwell could be battling it out. He ain't
- 38:34Speaker 1: coming too fast like me. I'm coming. I'm nigging the point.
- 38:39Speaker 1: And let me tell y'all something else. I don't seen
- 38:41Speaker 1: the show Beyonce is out there with with with the
- 38:48Speaker 1: level of show that is out there and young people
- 38:53Speaker 1: can get to it easier. Oh yeah, but if you
- 38:55Speaker 1: want to see the greatest legend show on Earth, you
- 39:03Speaker 1: got that, damn Charlie Wilson. Before I go see that,
- 39:06Speaker 1: I don't give them who next? That ain't gonna roll
- 39:09Speaker 1: the beat next. You need to go in front of him.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Don't don't go after once he blow the whistle, move back,
- 39:19Speaker 1: Hey Charlie, hang on, Hey, y'all, we'll be right back.

- 45:02Speaker 1: of everything that's going on, n B L for you.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Let's go cat. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach uh Nicole. Please,
- 45:13Speaker 1: how you doing? Listen? I'm giving you a call. You
- 45:15Speaker 1: you happen to be um uh in a relationship with
- 45:19Speaker 1: a with a black man? Am I am? I right?
- 45:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry? Who is this? I'm sorry? My name is
- 45:24Speaker 1: Brian well, I don't want to give my full name,
- 45:28Speaker 1: but it's Jiadiah Jiadiah Malcolm. Okay, and and I'm sorry,
- 45:34Speaker 1: why are you calling? Okay? Now you you you are
- 45:37Speaker 1: a Caucasian woman. Correct, Okay, Why I'm still trying to
- 45:42Speaker 1: get to why are you calling? Well, what's going on is, um,
- 45:47Speaker 1: I'm with an organization and we're calling people who are
- 45:50Speaker 1: in interracial relationships, and from my understanding, you are in
- 45:54Speaker 1: a interracial relationship. Correct, Yes, okay, I'm with n b
- 46:00Speaker 1: FU and that's uh NBFU is no blacks for you.
- 46:06Speaker 1: And what we're doing is we're trying to get uh
- 46:10Speaker 1: racist to go back to dating each other, you know,
- 46:13Speaker 1: which means Caucasians going back. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I first,
- 46:17Speaker 1: I don't know who do you think you are calling
- 46:21Speaker 1: my house? But that's just not gonna happen. And I
- 46:24Speaker 1: don't know where this organization is based out of. I mean,
- 46:26Speaker 1: you must be some country bumpkin or something and you
- 46:30Speaker 1: have just really called the wrong house. Okay, Well, no,
- 46:33Speaker 1: when uh NBFU ma'am has been around since the early
- 46:38Speaker 1: nineteen forties. Yeah, I can imagine. I can imagine that. Now,
- 46:41Speaker 1: I'm sure at some points, you guys have to shut
- 46:44Speaker 1: down because this is just ridiculous. Do you know what
- 46:46Speaker 1: I mean? Obama's mother was white. Are you gonna go
- 46:49Speaker 1: knock on his door too? What the hell are you?
- 46:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna have time to knock on Obama's door.
- 46:53Speaker 1: He's business. I'm trying to do was get the rest
- 46:56Speaker 1: of the country from black and that's what I'm playing.
- 47:03Speaker 1: What I'm trying to try to tell us we can't
- 47:05Speaker 1: be together because you're black and I'm white. He's kind yo,
- 47:10Speaker 1: what's up? Who this? Uh? Okay? Who? Who? Who? Who
- 47:15Speaker 1: is this? This is a I'm a man? Who this? Okay?
- 47:19Speaker 1: This is Gada mancol And what I'm doing, man, is well,
- 47:24Speaker 1: you know, I'm with an organization called nb FLU and NBFU. Man.
- 47:29Speaker 1: There's no Blacks for you, which what we're trying to
- 47:31Speaker 1: do is we're trying to get all racists to go
- 47:33Speaker 1: back to each other. What you're tellingly tripping? Man? You
- 47:37Speaker 1: are what? What? What kind of organization is that y'all
- 47:40Speaker 1: are tripping? Okay? Brother, let me ask you don't feel
- 47:43Speaker 1: you don't feel empty without the sister on your side.
- 47:46Speaker 1: You don't feel empty without loving black woman on your side.
- 47:51Speaker 1: That's what I'm asking you, brother. I got I got
- 47:53Speaker 1: plenty of black woman on my side, but that don't
- 47:55Speaker 1: mean that I had to be in a relationship with
- 47:57Speaker 1: a black woman. I'm in a relationship with a woman
- 47:59Speaker 1: I love. So that's what it's about. And now I
- 48:01Speaker 1: don't feel empty. That's the first problem with your organization
- 48:04Speaker 1: right there, that the premise is wrong. Okay, okay, okay,
- 48:07Speaker 1: but brother, what we're trying to do, man, we don't
- 48:09Speaker 1: want to lose our rate. We don't want the blacks
- 48:12Speaker 1: to lose the strength that we have. And if blacks
- 48:14Speaker 1: continued to date and mate with blacks, then we would
- 48:17Speaker 1: be as powerful and stronger than any other race in
- 48:20Speaker 1: the world. Where did you get this number from? That?
- 48:22Speaker 1: Excuse me? How do you get this numbing in the
- 48:24Speaker 1: first la? Dude? I mean, I ain't got time fall
- 48:26Speaker 1: this man. This is a nonsense bro. How you Why
- 48:29Speaker 1: are you calling? Uh? Hey? Man? Because all y'all interracial
- 48:31Speaker 1: or couple? It was yeah, but what business does that? Man?
- 48:34Speaker 1: That ain't not in your business, hey, but it is
- 48:36Speaker 1: my business. Is I'm with if I'm with n B
- 48:38Speaker 1: L for you know that you and you you're a
- 48:41Speaker 1: black person that are integrated within another race. And what
- 48:44Speaker 1: we're trying to do, man, is get you to understand
- 48:47Speaker 1: to come back to your race and be comfortable and
- 48:49Speaker 1: happy in your race. Oh you really now, do come
- 48:53Speaker 1: back to my race. I ain't never left my lazy dog.
- 48:56Speaker 1: You are tripping, yo, and be you you. I'll get
- 49:00Speaker 1: off our phone. Man, don't call hit no more with that?
- 49:02Speaker 1: Did you think that you are happier with a Caucasian
- 49:06Speaker 1: woman than you would be with a black woman? Man,
- 49:09Speaker 1: I don't even I don't want to entertain it. Don't
- 49:12Speaker 1: call hit no more. Don't call hit no more. Do
- 49:15Speaker 1: you let me ask you brother? Be a man and
- 49:17Speaker 1: answer the questions? Oh, dog, you know what you got
- 49:20Speaker 1: to get you up? Well? Dog, you know you really?
- 49:23Speaker 1: You really gonna get you up? Will be a man?
- 49:26Speaker 1: I'm ask' you know what if you bring it over here,
- 49:30Speaker 1: you'll find out how much of a grown man I am. Hey, man,
- 49:33Speaker 1: don't get you. Don't man while I'm in the middle
- 49:35Speaker 1: of asking you these questions, because I ain't got no
- 49:37Speaker 1: problem coming over there. I got your phone number, I
- 49:40Speaker 1: got your address too. Bring your gowne over and see
- 49:43Speaker 1: what you're frying. I'm asking you about these relationships. Man,
- 49:47Speaker 1: are you more comfortable in a relationship with a Caucasian
- 49:50Speaker 1: woman than you are with a black woman? Dog? I
- 49:53Speaker 1: told you, man, it ain't even about that and weren't
- 49:55Speaker 1: even going into that. So look, just please, brother, can
- 49:59Speaker 1: you stop calling him? Don't call my mother. We're calling
- 50:03Speaker 1: all inter racial people around the country. That's what nb
- 50:07Speaker 1: F you, Doug. We call all of y'all and we
- 50:10Speaker 1: try to talk some sensing to you and see if
- 50:12Speaker 1: you can change the world and go back to the
- 50:14Speaker 1: racist from which is you came. You're tripping, yell, you're
- 50:18Speaker 1: really tripping, man. You know what. Obviously just a mental
- 50:22Speaker 1: institution you're calling from because it there's something wrong with you.
- 50:25Speaker 1: So look, don't call him no more, and we ain't
- 50:28Speaker 1: got no more problems. Say this, I say this to you.
- 50:31Speaker 1: I'm going to your your girl's job and I'm talking
- 50:34Speaker 1: to her face to face tomorrow about this whole situation.
- 50:38Speaker 1: You know what, And you're gonna get your No, I
- 50:40Speaker 1: ain't getting my fo I'm going tomorrow and I'm talking

- 54:09Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you. Here. It is
- 54:11Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject my husband switched
- 54:16Speaker 1: from Hymns to Hennessey. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty
- 54:20Speaker 1: nine year old Latino woman, and I'm married to a
- 54:24Speaker 1: fifty three year old Black man. We've been together for
- 54:27Speaker 1: seven years and we've been married for three years. We
- 54:31Speaker 1: met at church and we're both in the church choir.
- 54:34Speaker 1: When we started dating, I saw an edgier side of him.
- 54:37Speaker 1: He wrote a motorcycle drink Hennessy on the weekend, and
- 54:41Speaker 1: he cursed whenever he talked to his friends. It was
- 54:44Speaker 1: different from the church man I met, but I liked it.
- 54:48Speaker 1: He told me that he didn't want to scare me
- 54:50Speaker 1: away because I was his queen. Whenever we'd go places
- 54:53Speaker 1: in his car, he'd have his satellite radio on rap music,
- 54:57Speaker 1: and the lyrics were so offensive that I asked him
- 55:00Speaker 1: if he could turn it off. He apologized and said
- 55:02Speaker 1: he'd never play that type of music around me again.
- 55:05Speaker 1: After we got married and got our first house, he
- 55:08Speaker 1: turned the garage into his man cave. He'd go out
- 55:11Speaker 1: there and sit for hours, watching TV and listening to music.
- 55:15Speaker 1: I'd be in the house, cleaning up, cooking and singing
- 55:18Speaker 1: along to gospel music. Once we had to be quarantined,
- 55:23Speaker 1: he would stay in his man cave all day and
- 55:26Speaker 1: all day long, he played very explicit rap music very
- 55:31Speaker 1: loud while he sipped on his hennessy. I could hear
- 55:34Speaker 1: it through the house, so I know the neighbors could
- 55:36Speaker 1: hear it too. He said he dared our neighbors to
- 55:40Speaker 1: come say anything to us. It was so embarrassing. My
- 55:43Speaker 1: husband is so different when he plays this music, this
- 55:47Speaker 1: awful music. I jokingly asked if he was too old
- 55:51Speaker 1: to still be into rap music, and he said it's
- 55:53Speaker 1: a cultural thing, and I wouldn't understand. He may be
- 55:57Speaker 1: right about that, but I do know when something is offensive.
- 56:00Speaker 1: How can I get my husband to grow up and
- 56:02Speaker 1: stop being a disruptive neighbor? Neighbor? Please help well this letters,
- 56:09Speaker 1: I don't know. It's a little confusing to me because
- 56:12Speaker 1: you say you've known him for seven years, you've been
- 56:14Speaker 1: married to him for three, and he listened to rap
- 56:18Speaker 1: during your dating period, and you did say you saw
- 56:21Speaker 1: his edge your side with the motorcycle. You said he
- 56:24Speaker 1: drank hennessy, he cursed with his friends, but you said
- 56:28Speaker 1: you liked it at the time. You did say that.
- 56:32Speaker 1: Now it sounds like since the quarantine, it's a little different,
- 56:36Speaker 1: and maybe it's gotten a little worse. You say he's
- 56:39Speaker 1: playing more offensive more explicit lyrics in his music. Now
- 56:44Speaker 1: he stays in the garage all day, all night. He's
- 56:48Speaker 1: drinking all the time now, whereas before he was just
- 56:51Speaker 1: drinking on the weekends. So I'm trying to figure out,
- 56:55Speaker 1: what are you really upset about that it's gotten worse
- 56:58Speaker 1: Because you did say you liked it at first, You
- 57:00Speaker 1: have a lot to choose from you. Are you mad
- 57:02Speaker 1: about the music? Are you mad about the fact that
- 57:04Speaker 1: he's playing the music too loud? Are you mad about
- 57:07Speaker 1: him being in the man cave all day? The hennessy,
- 57:11Speaker 1: I just think you're mad because of all of these things,
- 57:15Speaker 1: and especially because the music is loud and it's offensive
- 57:18Speaker 1: to the neighbors. That's a good point, that is, Okay,
- 57:21Speaker 1: You've got to remind him. Remember back when you guys
- 57:24Speaker 1: were dating and he said that he didn't want to
- 57:26Speaker 1: scare you away because you are his queen. Well, you know,
- 57:29Speaker 1: you got to remind him of that, and maybe he'll
- 57:31Speaker 1: remember saying those words to you. Maybe that'll click something
- 57:36Speaker 1: in his head or something so that he can turn
- 57:38Speaker 1: this music down. Loud music shouldn't be played to the
- 57:41Speaker 1: level where it disturbs the neighbors. I don't think so
- 57:44Speaker 1: while you're added, you could tell him to, you know,
- 57:46Speaker 1: ease up on the hennessy a little bit too. Maybe
- 57:48Speaker 1: that contributes to the loud music, So you know, take
- 57:51Speaker 1: him there and see if he'll remember and turn it down.
- 57:54Speaker 1: Steve going in and said, man, that hennessy not why
- 58:02Speaker 1: he drinking it? That ain't the time y'all to bring
- 58:07Speaker 1: it up on the way from home after choir rehearsal.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Now you met the man in the choir, y'all singing.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Y'all started dating, you started seeing an edgy aside. He
- 58:21Speaker 1: wrote a motorcycle drink Hennis in on the weekends. He cussed,
- 58:25Speaker 1: when he talks to you with friends, this is my dude, man,
- 58:28Speaker 1: you should this ain't one of my partners, are you show?
- 58:34Speaker 1: This ain't walting Neil, He cussed whenever he talked to
- 58:39Speaker 1: his friend. It was different from the church man, I mean,
- 58:42Speaker 1: it's gonna be different. Kirk Franklin taught this to me
- 58:45Speaker 1: when we were on two together, because I was concerned
- 58:48Speaker 1: about the church crowd not being able to adjust to
- 58:51Speaker 1: my jokes out He said, Dog, your fans and my fans,
- 58:57Speaker 1: it's the same people. They just went to different mask.
- 59:02Speaker 1: So the dude you meet at church, He got that
- 59:05Speaker 1: mask on and when he get off, he put the
- 59:08Speaker 1: other mask on. Now he a motorcycle, hennessy riding, cussing,
- 59:15Speaker 1: hip hop loving, fifty three year old dude. Now you said,
- 59:23Speaker 1: whenever we go places in this car, he'd have his
- 59:25Speaker 1: satellite radio rap music and the lyrics so officive that
- 59:29Speaker 1: I asked him if he could turn it off. He
- 59:31Speaker 1: apologized that he never played that type of music around me. Again. Well,
- 59:35Speaker 1: after we got married and got our first house, he
- 59:38Speaker 1: turned the garage into his man Kate. I ain't mad
- 59:41Speaker 1: at that. He didn't mess with none of the house.
- 59:43Speaker 1: He went out there in that damn garage. All he
- 59:47Speaker 1: wanted to do is have a little place. So now
- 59:50Speaker 1: he go out there and he sit for hours watching
- 59:53Speaker 1: TV and listen to music. You in the house cleaning,
- 59:56Speaker 1: singing to gospel music, to gospel music and Volga hill pop.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Is not a good match, trying to figure out what
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: the I you want? I want to go together crazy
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: and all of your friends. Wow, my love the Lord,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Wow love the Lord. So it's so hang on, hang on, Steve.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter subject
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: my husband switched from Hymns to Hennessey. We'll get back
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters. Subject my husband switched from hymns to Hennessey.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Thirty nine year old Latino woman match your fifty year
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: old man. They were together seven years, they've been married three.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: They met at church. They both sang in the choir.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Started dating. She saw a different side of it. He
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: wrote a motorcycle. He drank hit it seeing it because
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: when he talked to it friend, I told him that
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: was different than the man I met at church. He
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: said he didn't want to run me away because I
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: was his point. And you go play seeing all this
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: him anyway, y'all got married in your first house. He
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: turned to garage into a man cave. Right. He got
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: that sitting for hours watching TV and listen to music.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I'll be in the house cleaning up, cooking and singing
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: along to Godspel music when we quarantined. He's staying the
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: man cave all day long. He played explicit rap. How
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: do you want it? How do you want it? How
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: does it feel growing up in the fast Ain't living
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: in the Fast man for real? I know, Jesus, he
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: how do you want it? Jesus? How does it feel? So?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I think y'all, bat, I think y'all on a call
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Swiss beats and it's gonna be you against your husband.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: In the weekend of battle get marriage and Blige and
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Gil Scott and they had Teddy and baby Face. I
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: think it's time for you and your husband. I was
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Erica and Jail Yeah yeah, yeah, Erica bad yeah all right?
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: So now, and this rap music is very loud and
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: he SIPs his Hennessy. I could hear through the all
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: through the house, so I know he's a bad neighbor.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Jokingly asked her he was too old and still being
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: rap music. He said it was a cultural thing. That's
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: not true and I wouldn't understand, but I know music
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: that's offensial. How can I get my husband to grow
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: up and stop being a disruptive neighbor? Please? Hell, first thing,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: you need to go out and shut that damn garage though,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: to get some of his head. See his problem is
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: he listening to the music on the car radio with
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: the car running, and if he shut that garage though,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: that's carbon monoxide. You got to get him by him
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: a bluetooth speaker so he can cut that damn call
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: and let that damn doe down. That's what starts. Secondly,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I really don't have no answer for you for this.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: You married the black dude here and the hip hop
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: he not fin to stop. You can't ask a person
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: not to enjoy the music anymore. But now, when you
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: told him that the neighbors would come by, he had
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: I wish you would moment, you know, you know how
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: you want somebody to come out, come over, you know,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: And I think that's about where he was at with him. So, lady,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: he is a deal and I know surely said that,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: but this he don't. He don't care. He is church
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: people disturbed the peace too. Shirt. I can't tell you
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: how many times I would be sitting up on a
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Saturday morning enjoined myself and then he didn't come. And
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: so you know, I've had a lot of times interrupted
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: by Christian people. So I understand your problem interrupting people.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I really don't have no answer for this letter. I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: don't care. You know you're not gonna leave your man.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: He's not a bad husband. He just got a man
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: cave and he like loud music. It's the quarantine too,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: that's what it is, and the reason he's spent all
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: that time inside the garage because you own his last
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: damn ner nowhere else to go. It ain't nowhere, man,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: So that's we got nothing else for it? What is
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: he in there playing again? Before you get Jesus? All
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: the things? I love? Mix it Jesus. Yeah, how are
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: you wanting? How does it feel? How it feels like? Jesus?
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Whoa my lord? Go back, go back, go back? How
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: does it feel? How do you want it? I'm not
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I don't feel bad. Plain living in the bad. That's
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: classic back and forth man. Yeah, I'm telling you. Swiss
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: beats all to have them all DJ versus church her
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: church music gets his hip hop. He gonna win now
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: because the people is listening to the challenge on switch
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Beats them. They they young people think oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: that's that's about it. That's about it. I think he
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: should turn it down, though, I do, because he's disturbing
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the neighbors. If he could play it whatever, but it
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: shouldn't be that loud. Surely he ain't. She hasn't asked
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: him yet. All right, all right, post your comments on
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM, on Instagram and Facebook.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Can please don't forget to check probably that type of
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: black dude that if you go down and tell him
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: to turn it down, he's gonna get loud. It's gonna
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: crank it up. Yeah, don't forget to check out the
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up at forty six
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, We'll get serious and tell you
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: about three Wilmington police officers in North Carolina that have
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: been fired after a video recording revealed extremely racist comments.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: this Dave Harvey Morning Show. The three cops from the Wilmington,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: North Carolina Police Department, Jesse Moore, Kevin Piner, and Brian Gilmore,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: were fired for violating standards of conduct and using inappropriate
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: jokes and slurs. The racist comments came to light during
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: a monthly inspection video audit in which footage from Piner's
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: patrol car was reviewed, including conversations between the officers while
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: talking with officers Gilmore and Piner. While talking with Officer Gilmore,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Piner began criticizing the department, saying it's only concern was
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: kneeling down with the black folks. Piner later expressed to
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: More that he feels a civil wars coming and he
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: plans to buy an assault rifle to go out and
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: start slaughtering them or cuss word black people. He added,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: I can't wait, God, I can't wait. Pinter also said
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: civil war is necessary to wipe them off. The cuss
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: word again, map, then I'll put them back about that
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: all to put them back about four or five generations.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Police say the three officers admitted it was their voices
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: on the video recording and didn't deny the content, but
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: denied being racist. Excuse me, but denied being racist and
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: blame the comments on the stress of the job in
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: wake of George Floyd's killing and subsequent protests. What no,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: that's in your heart? Come on, Steve, Yeah, that makes
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: no sense. And they said the inWORD and a lot
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: of profanity. Yeah, it was. It was bad, and the
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: police chief took action. It's amazing how but that person
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: tries to play what they said and have an excuse
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: for it. For you to say any of those things
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: you're talking about. They were tired enlightened to Joe. This
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: this is before. Yeah, George Floyd's George Floyd's death made
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: you want to go out of buying an assault rifle
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and start a civil war and put them back in
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: their place and start slaughtering them, slaughtering because of the protests. Yeah,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I can't wait, God, I can't wait. Stop stop, I
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: can't wait. Now, you can't wait to go kill some man?
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Get out of him now he pull a black person over.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: That's what we're dealing with it. And let me tell
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: you something. I'm gonna stop saying it's only a few
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: because it's a bunch of them. Yeah, a lot of
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: right here. See, it keeps happening too much for it
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: only a few. Now. It's a lot of good cops
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: out there, I tell you that it is. But it's
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: way too damn many of them that ain't right right now? Yeah,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: And what can they say? It's on video, it's on
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: a recording that'll put them back four or five generations.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: What And I believe the police chief was black African
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: American and he took action, all right, coming up of
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: the top trending political news about the Democratic National Convention
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. We'll get into that
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show the Democratic National
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Committee has officially scaled back its presidential convention. The convention
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: is scheduled for August seventeen through the twentieth in Milwaukee,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: and there will be events there every day, but those
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: events have been downsized or in many cases, made remote.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: The main convention will no longer happen at the Fizzer
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Foreign for A Marina, but in the much smaller Milwaukee Center,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: and state delegations are being told to plan to stay
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: home and cast their ballots remotely. Other events will be
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: broadcasts from satellite cities, locations, and landmarks across the country. However,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Joe Biden will still accept the nomination for president in
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: person in Milwaukee. Meanwhile, the GOP still has plans to
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: hold a traditional convention in Jacksonville, Florida, after moving it
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: from Charlotte, North Carolina, when that state said it would
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: likely take social distancing measures, and you know our president
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: is not going for that, you know that, So he moved. Yeah,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: so he moved the entire Republican convention to Jacksonville, because
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: you don't care nothing about these people. He's only concerned
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: about this win. Yes, yeah, winning this winning in November.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: You're right, and so it credible to him. We're on
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: in so many markets and so many cities in Florida.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: If y'all don't get out and vote, Yeah, y'all got
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: to get out and vote, and to help us turn
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: this thing around. We have to do our part. We
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: have to. We can't just sit up here and come plane.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: We have to get out and put some actions with
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: those words. Please. Yeah. Did you see the president walking
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: from the Air Force Wantage. I seen him walking across
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: the lawn with his tie undone and that defeated hat
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: in his hand. Yeah, oh my god. Yeah, they didn't
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: whoop your hands to date. Yeah, hed every bit of it. Yeah,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: from Arizona, and it just looked like, Yeah. I think
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: he's greatly affected by the pole. I think so too,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: even though he tries to pretend like he's not. I
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: think he is. Anything that shows him behind or not
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: in a good light or you know, he's petty like that,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: and he always wants to be on top, and like
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: you say, when so when he's not, it takes a toll, Junior.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: You want to say it with me, You about to
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: lose you about it's over? That's that defeat looking. I thought, Man,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I just don't want us to get too comfortable because
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: I still have a long way to go. He is
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: a fighter and he will fight, and we saw that.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Yeah twenty sixteen, we thought it was gonna go one
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: way and we were surprised and shocked. So you're right,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: surely we're gonna keep going. He's automatically gonna win, So
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you don't have to go to the polls. No, that's
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: all the more reason for you to go to the
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: polls and votes. Exactly. I really do not see this
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: guy winning again. And that's a hard statement to make
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: because you know how the Republican Party works in the
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: how and how they react. But I'm just going to
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: tell you I think it's gonna be hard because I
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: think if we can keep the attitudes where they are,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: they will turn it out to the polls. M. We
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: just got to keep pushing, get through this summer, keep
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: voting in the primaries, doing what we gotta do. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: we have to right at it to see more of
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Joe Biden too. If we could you know, I would,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I would like to see more. He looks good, though, Shirley.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: He's been looking better. Yeah. Yeah, and when he first started,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: when he first he looks a whole lot better. That's good.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: That's what did you say? I like what he said,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: even talking about the president and uh not actually being
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: a leader, leadership what the country is lacking. Did you
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: see that, Steve, You're just whining. Yeah, yeah, you're making
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: it about you. You're making it about you. I like
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: what Biden said too, when he said, we're fighting for
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: the very soul of this country. And I feel like that,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I really do. I feel like we've lost, you know,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: a lot under this presidency, we really have of who
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: we are and our strengths and all of that. Yeah. Anyway,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Show right after this You're listening show and trending baby news.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Tianna Taylor and Iman Shumpert are just three months away
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: from welcoming their new bundle of joy. She's revealing more
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: news about her birthing plans. Since she's considering a home birth,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Tianna has um already enlisted the help of none other
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: than Steve Ericabadu as her midwife. Oh, if you didn't know.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Ericabadou is also known as Erica Badulla. She has been
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: delivering babies as a certified dula since two thousand and one. Okay, Eric, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: She's assisted over forty mothers deliver their babies safely. Erica
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: says she loves being a part of the welcome committee.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: That I can't, I can't be out there. That's why
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: I called a midwife. Not I fell out, husband, I
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: saw her head. I fell out, Hell at all. I'm
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: sitting there head. Come on, I will shoulders wow, covers
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: as you're so crazy? That is a miracle. To push
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: it back is too much? Ain't number God right there? Well?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: She was breathing, Who who push it back? Cross? All right?
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: More of this craziness on the Sea Hardy Show. And
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: I'm training new coming up in thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening Stry Morning Show.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: It is time to ask the yello the Chief Love Officer,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. This one's from Millicent in New Orleans. She says,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: I'm thirty years old and my dad came in my
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: life six years ago. My dad was already married when
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: my mom got pregnant with me, so I grew up
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: without him in my life. I met his wife a
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: few months after I reconnected with him. His wife explained
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: how my dad kept me as a secret for years
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: because my mom was a one night's stand after he'd
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: been drinking one night. I was furious because my dad
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: was with my mom for four years and they went
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: on trips together, and he was in the delivery room
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: when I was born. Should I show his wife the receipts?
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Or should I let it go? Not ill makes walks.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: She wants to have a story to tell that makes
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: her feel adequate for some reason, because to come and
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: meet young woman who hasn't had a relationship with her
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: father in twenty four years, and that's the story you
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: want to tell. You were kept a secret because you
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: are one night stand. I mean, come on, lady, what's
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: what's your purpose for trying to mess this young lady's
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: up relationship up like that? That's foul within itself. Now,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: with that being said, do you return the foulness that
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: she put out? Too? Wrong? So, I don't think so.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I think you should take the high road. I think
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: the important thing for here is for you to have
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: for whatever relationship you can have with your dad. Me
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: and make a lot of mistakes. I made mistakes as
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: a young man myself. Me and make mistakes and have
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: the right to get it right and recover. What she
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: didn't have the right to do was coming here and
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: bust your bubble with all that information that she should
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: have played the bigger woman. But because she not a
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: big woman, don't mean you shouldn't be either. I think
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: that God will keep you in a better place if
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you take the high road myself, That's what I would suggest.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: But you know, if you're one of them days and
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: you're just feeling funky, go ahead, go ahead, you know
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Good advice, Steve. Thank you. Yeah, Now
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: I'll have for you. What's the one night staying right?
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: All right? Moving on. This one's from Verna in White
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Plains in New York. She says, I've been married for
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: fourteen years and I love my husband dearly, but he stinks.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: He's in shape, he has a healthy diet, but he
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: smells like hot garbage. He needs to take one of
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: those allergy exams, those that tells you what your body
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: is allergic to. It's a test that you can take
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: and you find out if you your body doesn't respond well.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: The gluten is something and it could be something that's
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: subscreting out of his body that just don't agree with him,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: but he doing it anyway and the way it comes
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: out through his pores. Strength. Coming up, it's our last
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: break of the day, the last break of the day. Man,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: we'll have some fabulous, fabulous closing remarks from the one
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after right
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show all right, here we
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: are our last break of the day on this Friday.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: That's right, Yeah, yep, oh, let me say this lords. Yeah,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Shirley be Et Awards girl, we're gonna be watching the baby.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson are just a few of the
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: performers at the twenty twenty b ET Awards. It's going
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: down Sunday and it's virtual Okay, so yeah, they have
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: a solid roster of performers. Amanda Seal we'll be doing
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: the hosting duties. Yeah, she's doing a thing. Yeah, she's spotty.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Rich John Legend, Little Wayne Megan, the Stallion Summer Walker
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: and be once be Once Beyonce. We'll be honored with
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: this year's Humanitarian Award for her b Good initiative. So
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: that's BT Awards Sunday on. It'll be a little different,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: but we all still love the BT Awards. So yeah,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: and oh and it's on b et b et Her
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: and CBS. That's right, that's right. That's big, That's that
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: is big. So we have to watch that. Yeah, we'll
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: be watching right. Well, thank you for that, ma'am. You're
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: welcome to you. Where is the man? It's your turn, mister.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: Back and forth, baby, back and forth. Yeah, oh m hmmm,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, I've done so many closing
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: remarks over the past two weeks. Man, let me just
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: say this in closing, you know, I've changed a bit.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: I was, you know, saying you know that I supported
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: the protests and demonstrate, and I do one thousand percent.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I say I don't support the burning and the looting,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: but I understand it now here. I've changed a little
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: bit because I'm watching at at almost like a record
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: pace that keep coming up with incidents of police doing
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: stuff to black people that we weren't even aware of.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Cases being reopened and so forth and so on, and
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: it's just happening at alarming rate that a couple of
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: things have changed in me as I watched with such
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: high hopes because so many non African Americans out there protesting,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: I really think something's gonna happen this time. I think
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: this is a turn. I just think, man, that the
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: way this is playing out, that it's caused me to
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: change a little bit. I actually used to say that
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: there's only a few bad policemen, but that's not true anymore.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: It's too many bad policemen. Now. Are there good ones?
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Of course it is. Are the straight and narrow one
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: that's doing it the right way? Of course there is.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: But it ain't a few bad apples no more. It's
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: a bunch of bad apples. Man. It's just a bunch.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Because just like they say in protests, if silences consent, well,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: isn't that true in the police department. And I just
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: think it's more than just a few bad officers. I
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: think it's a bunch, man. And you can't keep hiding behind.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I feared for my life and I felt threatened and
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: in the line of duty, and I followed my training.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: You can stop that your training is wrong. It's been wrong.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: It's not enough training. And the things that you have
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: been trained to do are the very thing that kills
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: the same people over and over, or it's your training
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: directed at a certain group of people because all of
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: your targets are black. I have noticed that that every
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: target they shoot that in the movies on TV, it's
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: black and they're all kills shots. There's no training or
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: police how to take a person down. When they do
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: take a person down, it's a chokehold, and how many
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: of us got to die from that? Or it's a
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: knee and the neck and how many got to die
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: from that? So now here's the deal. I do get
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: the burning and the looting. I get it because they're
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: sick and tired and if you're not gonna listen to them,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: they got something for you. And these young people serious
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: this time. So I don't condone it, but I do
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: get it. Oh, I really really do get it. And
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: I don't want young people out there getting arrested for
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: what they will then deem as breaking the law. And
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: once you break the law, then they get to go
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: on and do they think full fledge what you did?
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: But I get it, and I get that's too many
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: bad police officers, and I get that something has to change.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: My suggestion and I'm still trying to find out how
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: to get this pushed is mandatory police sensity, And that's
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: the only thing I can think. I don't have no
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: other solution. You know, of course I want you to
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: do bigger background checks and all like this, But at
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: the end of the day, listen, we have some bad
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: people that are police officers. We have a line of
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: thinking that's allowed to get a badge, and when they
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: have this badge, they oftentimes make decisions about whether we
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: live or die. And the sad thing about the decisions
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: that they make about who lives or dies, it's always
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: the same color people that die. It's the same color
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: all the time. They ain't accidentally shot no white person.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: They ain't kill no white sons. They ain't kill no
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: white man for sleeping at a drive through. They ain't
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: kids had they knee on no white man's neck till
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: he died. They ain't shot no white man because they
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: thought he had a gun when he was on the
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: cell phone. They ain't shot no twelve year old white
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: kids for playing with the gun and then did it
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: in less than fifteen seconds. They've never shot a white
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: kid for that. They keep shooting black people though, And
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: I just think right now, we got to do something
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: about this training. We gotta do something about a lot
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: of things. Man. I'm tired of talking about this, but
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: I gotta keep my voice out there because I really
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: feel it. Those are my closing remarks. Y'all have a
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: great weekend, even though I predict your weekend will be
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: a lot like Wednesday. Let's a church say amen, Amen again,
