- 0:09Speaker 2: at all. So given them.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Back a million bus buss things. And it's not ye
- 0:24Speaker 3: listening to me.

- 1:05Speaker 5: You love.
- 1:06Speaker 6: You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I came.
- 1:40Speaker 4: You got to turn the mouth the turn You've probably
- 1:43Speaker 4: got to turn out to turn out, turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 4: of the mono.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Look, come come out you think that?
- 2:00Speaker 7: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:05Speaker 7: to the voice, Come on, dig me now what and
- 2:08Speaker 7: all that? Steve Harvey man oh Man got a radio show, yep.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Trying to make it work too. I'm not trying. I'm
- 2:16Speaker 7: getting it. I'm getting it done to the best of
- 2:19Speaker 7: my abilities. Now, something funny my father taught me. He says,
- 2:25Speaker 7: so when you've done all you can do, if you've
- 2:29Speaker 7: done your absolute best and you look up and it
- 2:34Speaker 7: didn't get the job done, take a deep breath and
- 2:39Speaker 7: do some more. That used to bug me, man, when
- 2:44Speaker 7: my father used to tell me, that's the son. When
- 2:46Speaker 7: you've done your absolute best and you think you can't
- 2:49Speaker 7: do no more. You've done all you can and it
- 2:53Speaker 7: still don't get the job done, take yourself a deep breath,
- 2:59Speaker 7: and do some more. And you know what I found
- 3:03Speaker 7: that has worked every single time, every single time, because
- 3:11Speaker 7: what my father knew was that what you think is
- 3:16Speaker 7: your breaking point or what you think is your all
- 3:19Speaker 7: in all, he says, son, it's just something about it. Man,
- 3:24Speaker 7: if you just gather yourself, you got a little bit more.
- 3:28Speaker 7: Everybody got some more. And you know, I gotta be
- 3:35Speaker 7: honest with you. It has worked. It has helped me greatly,
- 3:39Speaker 7: and you know it. Everybody does have some more.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:43Speaker 7: I tell that to my sons all the time. Dad,
- 3:45Speaker 7: I did my best. Well, let mens you something else.
- 3:49Speaker 7: Could you have done anything else? Could you have studied
- 3:51Speaker 7: a little harder, Could you have shown up a little
- 3:54Speaker 7: bit earlier, could you stayed.
- 3:55Speaker 8: A little bit later?
- 3:59Speaker 7: Yeah, well then okay, that's what you should have done.
- 4:02Speaker 7: Then see, there's always a way. But if you're going
- 4:05Speaker 7: to create excuses, if you're gonna make them up all
- 4:09Speaker 7: the time about why you don't get it done, I
- 4:12Speaker 7: have a very, very sad a statement for you right now.
- 4:18Speaker 7: You're never gonna get anything done. You're never gonna get
- 4:21Speaker 7: to the top.
- 4:22Speaker 8: Not to the top.
- 4:23Speaker 7: You can get half way up. Now you can get
- 4:26Speaker 7: a third of the whey up. You can get three
- 4:28Speaker 7: quarters of the whey up. But if you don't have
- 4:31Speaker 7: that little extra reserve in you, you're not getting to
- 4:34Speaker 7: the top. The top is only reserved for those that
- 4:39Speaker 7: have the wherewithal and the power to desire, the drive
- 4:46Speaker 7: and the gut riching effort to get to the top.
- 4:50Speaker 7: The top is reserved only for the top.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's just the top.
- 4:53Speaker 8: There ain't but one top. Then the middle done, ain't it?
- 4:57Speaker 9: You know?
- 4:57Speaker 8: The top, the top of the mountain.
- 4:59Speaker 10: Half.
- 5:00Speaker 7: It's a different view at the top. Things look different
- 5:03Speaker 7: from up top. So if you want to get to
- 5:05Speaker 7: the top of whatever your profession, your field, your career,
- 5:12Speaker 7: whatever it is, you got to do extra.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You have to do more.
- 5:19Speaker 7: More is expected of you, more, but his what's really crazy,
- 5:22Speaker 7: More is required of you.
- 5:26Speaker 8: Don't live your life in the lasadaisical state.
- 5:30Speaker 7: Don't wake up every day with the feeling of, well,
- 5:33Speaker 7: you know, whatever happens happens, NA man have a say
- 5:36Speaker 7: so in your life.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You.
- 5:39Speaker 7: First of all, let me ask you something. Who has God?
- 5:44Speaker 7: Name the person that God has given authority over you.
- 5:49Speaker 7: Name the person? But who is the person? Nobody has
- 5:53Speaker 7: domain over you. God didn't create that person. So what
- 5:57Speaker 7: you sitting here for?
- 5:58Speaker 2: Man?
- 5:59Speaker 7: What are you sitting here here for? Letting people who
- 6:02Speaker 7: do not know direct your path? Why are you worried
- 6:06Speaker 7: about all these people with what they got to say
- 6:09Speaker 7: about you and all these people with what they got
- 6:12Speaker 7: to think about you? When here's the news flash, they
- 6:15Speaker 7: don't know either. All these people that you overly concerned about,
- 6:21Speaker 7: all these people that you go into these.
- 6:24Speaker 8: Answers for, they need answers to.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Stop.
- 6:29Speaker 7: What are you doing here? Gather yourself for a minute.
- 6:33Speaker 7: Here is a solution to all of that. You have
- 6:37Speaker 7: one source that will be there for you to the
- 6:40Speaker 7: end of time, and that is your relationship with God.
- 6:45Speaker 7: That is the one thing that's solid and for show.
- 6:48Speaker 7: He's behind the wall. He's in your jail cell. He
- 6:52Speaker 7: rides with you in the police car. He's with you
- 6:55Speaker 7: on your job up ato school. He's down there in
- 6:57Speaker 7: the board meetings with you. You when you travel on planes.
- 7:02Speaker 7: He says with you when you're in a relationship. He
- 7:05Speaker 7: helps you with your parenting skills. He helps you. He's
- 7:09Speaker 7: there to assist you. He show if you do the
- 7:11Speaker 7: right things, he show you and guide you to your
- 7:13Speaker 7: next job. When you lose your job and you think
- 7:15Speaker 7: it's a rap, there's some good behind it. Man, God
- 7:20Speaker 7: is always working on your behalf. To those that believe you,
- 7:23Speaker 7: just gotta believe.
- 7:24Speaker 8: He don't ask you for nothing else.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Believe in me.
- 7:27Speaker 8: That's all He asks you to do. What you're tripping for.
- 7:30Speaker 7: Man, And then when you make the decision to believe
- 7:33Speaker 7: in him, and it comes out your mouth from time
- 7:36Speaker 7: to time somewhere what you're worried about, what people say,
- 7:39Speaker 7: What you're worried about, what they think for?
- 7:41Speaker 8: Why who are they?
- 7:42Speaker 7: They need God to you telling them you found something
- 7:46Speaker 7: new that you're gonna give this a shot right here. Now,
- 7:49Speaker 7: they got some yang yin yang and some yak ofy
- 7:51Speaker 7: yak to say about that when they need God too.
- 7:55Speaker 7: That's what amazes me mad about people sit up in here, man,
- 7:58Speaker 7: be knocking your dreamings. Look, if you're an atheist, man,
- 8:01Speaker 7: do your thing, do your thing. But you can't create
- 8:04Speaker 7: no laws?
- 8:05Speaker 8: Why I can't do mine? That don't make no sense. Man,
- 8:08Speaker 8: That makes no sense at all to me.
- 8:12Speaker 2: You have the right to go be whatever you want
- 8:14Speaker 2: to be.
- 8:15Speaker 7: You know, if you don't like the fact that I'm
- 8:18Speaker 7: in school, got my head bowed down, and I'm saying
- 8:20Speaker 7: a prayer for I take this test. Just don't buy
- 8:22Speaker 7: your head. Don't you pray. But if some kids want
- 8:26Speaker 7: to get together, that's some crazy mess. That's what happened
- 8:28Speaker 7: in our schools. We took prayer out of schools, and
- 8:30Speaker 7: now look at our schools. You send your child to
- 8:34Speaker 7: school and someone else comes back home. That's a whole
- 8:39Speaker 7: nother thing right here. That's not what I want to
- 8:42Speaker 7: talk to you about. But I was just throwing it
- 8:44Speaker 7: out because you know, hey, man, your relationship with God
- 8:47Speaker 7: is essential to your success as a person. It's essential
- 8:50Speaker 7: to your existence. It's essential to where you're trying to
- 8:53Speaker 7: go and what you're trying to be. Because He made you.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Why would you not talk to the person that made
- 9:00Speaker 7: you to find out what he created you for. I
- 9:03Speaker 7: ain't talking about your parents, who made your parents. This
- 9:08Speaker 7: is God, we created in his image. Why would you
- 9:11Speaker 7: not talk to your maker to see why you got made?
- 9:15Speaker 7: That don't make sense to you. If you're sitting and
- 9:19Speaker 7: gotten yourself in a situation, you sitting in the jail
- 9:22Speaker 7: cell somewhere, you locked up, you doing some time, man,
- 9:26Speaker 7: be a good time. For you to reflect. But whatever
- 9:29Speaker 7: your situation is, man, God can get you through it.
- 9:32Speaker 7: He can give you the strength, the courage to wherewith
- 9:34Speaker 7: all the understanding everything you need, the wisdom to get
- 9:38Speaker 7: you through anything you're going through. You just got a
- 9:41Speaker 7: touch base with him. I need God every single day
- 9:47Speaker 7: of my life. And what He's done for me. Man
- 9:52Speaker 7: off the chain. But guess what he'll do the same
- 9:56Speaker 7: thing for you.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, it's another day, another opportunity, another blessing,
- 10:10Speaker 7: another shot. This is actually a moment of greatness. If
- 10:14Speaker 7: you claim it that way, it can be that way.
- 10:18Speaker 7: The Bible says a man is as he thinking. How
- 10:23Speaker 7: you think, That's how you are.
- 10:26Speaker 8: What you project, that's what comes back to you.
- 10:29Speaker 7: What your signal on your remote sends out, that's what
- 10:33Speaker 7: shows up on your TV. Your brain is your personal remote.

- 10:42Speaker 7: in your life, Press the button on your remote and
- 10:44Speaker 7: make it happen. Be positive. Positivity comes your way. Now
- 10:49Speaker 7: that's not to say it won't be. Some negative stuff happened,
- 10:51Speaker 7: but you know, hey, look life is ten percent what
- 10:54Speaker 7: happened to you. It's ninety percent what you do about it. Huh,
- 10:58Speaker 7: come on now, people may lemonade out of limits.
- 11:03Speaker 8: All the time.
- 11:05Speaker 7: It's one of my all time favorite drinks. It's a
- 11:09Speaker 7: nice glass eliminade. I would like mine, sweet, I like
- 11:14Speaker 7: swim lemonade. I don't want no tart lemonade. Yeah, what
- 11:20Speaker 7: is the aid for? If you ain't gonna put nothing
- 11:22Speaker 7: in it to aid it? I could have just want
- 11:26Speaker 7: no shot of lemon juice anyway. This is Steve Harvet
- 11:30Speaker 7: watershow Shirley Strawberry callar for real Mississippi Monica Junior and
- 11:34Speaker 7: the legend that is Nephew Tommy Jr.

- 11:39Speaker 11: Make this clip? Force up?
- 11:41Speaker 2: You make this clip?
- 11:42Speaker 8: Force uncle?
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 11:44Speaker 11: How do we how do we know if what we
- 11:46Speaker 11: want out of life is what God won't force?
- 11:49Speaker 7: Oh, you ain't gonna get it? How that clip clear
- 11:58Speaker 7: enough for you, but you're not fit to get it?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Response?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Bo I learned to tell you something.
- 12:06Speaker 7: You know how many times he'd have told me, no, boy,
- 12:10Speaker 7: you know much stuff I didn't wanted and it wasn't
- 12:13Speaker 7: in God's will and I wanted it anyway. And if
- 12:17Speaker 7: you get it, you're gonna wish she never had a
- 12:19Speaker 7: had it. Boy, boy, boy, let me tell you something.
- 12:25Speaker 7: God is real clear, man, he ain't foggy, he ain't hazy,
- 12:29Speaker 7: It ain't none of that. When it ain't for you,
- 12:32Speaker 7: you fit to find out real fast, and it's gonna
- 12:36Speaker 7: be and it's gonna be constant.
- 12:37Speaker 8: Reminded us that this ain't for you.
- 12:40Speaker 2: He man.
- 12:40Speaker 7: Let me give you an example, because we just kind
- 12:42Speaker 7: of talking about this before the pre show. Look, all right,
- 12:45Speaker 7: look you meet this girl right.
- 12:48Speaker 8: She found to you I won't huh.
- 12:55Speaker 10: Yeah, So.
- 12:58Speaker 8: You ain't asked God about it. You decided you won't huff.
- 13:03Speaker 7: God, in his infinite wisdom, starts showing you signs that
- 13:08Speaker 7: you probably need to put this one back.
- 13:13Speaker 8: You go outside. You ain't got no windows on your car?
- 13:17Speaker 1: Why you don't have no windows?
- 13:19Speaker 7: I'll windows thrust it all out, And Neil wrote a

- 14:28Speaker 2: I gotta make the call. Let this man know you
- 14:31Speaker 2: ain't married. You're not married. The pastor that you had
- 14:34Speaker 2: not had the qualifications, did not have all the credentials.
- 14:37Speaker 8: You are not married.
- 14:39Speaker 2: So that kids cut y'all hand them kids is out
- 14:44Speaker 2: of WHI you know what you supposed you know what

- 15:00Speaker 9: Hello, I'm trying to reach Brian. Yeah, how you doing, Brian?
- 15:03Speaker 9: My name is Daniel. Wanted to give you a call today.
- 15:06Speaker 9: You got a minute? Yeah, okay, listen. You're you're Brian,
- 15:12Speaker 9: Brian right, you're married to uh to Althea.
- 15:15Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 15:16Speaker 13: Hello, hello, yeah, yeah, that's that's me. That's my wife.
- 15:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Okay, got a question for you. How long have you
- 15:24Speaker 9: guys been married?
- 15:25Speaker 13: Going on nine years?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Now?
- 15:26Speaker 13: We've been married? Now?
- 15:28Speaker 12: Who is it?
- 15:29Speaker 9: My name is Daniel. Were you were you guys married
- 15:33Speaker 9: at a Greater and New Missionary Baptist.
- 15:35Speaker 13: Church Una see yeah, yeah, yep, yes, that's the name
- 15:39Speaker 13: of that church. Yeah, great, by nine years? Yeah, that's right.
- 15:43Speaker 13: Why what's going on? What's asking all these questions for?
- 15:46Speaker 9: Okay? Do you remember the minister that officiated your actual
- 15:50Speaker 9: wedding ceremony?
- 15:52Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 15:52Speaker 9: Uh reverend right? Yeah, okay, I got the right person.
- 15:57Speaker 9: I wanted to make sure I had the right person, Brian.
- 15:59Speaker 9: So I'm sorry if it seemed a little weird to you. Here.
- 16:03Speaker 9: Here's what's going on. We've just come up with a
- 16:06Speaker 9: new discovery a lot of information that Reverend none of
- 16:11Speaker 9: his credentials are true. Everything is false. He's not a
- 16:15Speaker 9: minister at all. He never was a minister, And every
- 16:19Speaker 9: single wedding ceremony that he officiated is basically null and void. So,
- 16:26Speaker 9: and I hate to be the bearer of bad news,
- 16:29Speaker 9: but you and Althea, even though you think you've been
- 16:32Speaker 9: married for nine years, you guys are not married at all.
- 16:36Speaker 13: No, no, no, no, that that you got to have
- 16:39Speaker 13: the wrong person, because me and that thing we got
- 16:41Speaker 13: we got married by nine years ago.
- 16:43Speaker 9: And what I'm telling you is he he never was ordained.
- 16:51Speaker 9: He's never been an ordained minister. He's not a minister
- 16:54Speaker 9: at all. So when he performed this ceremony, your wedding ceremony,
- 16:58Speaker 9: he had no right to be doing that. You guys
- 17:01Speaker 9: are not are not married. You know, you guys have
- 17:04Speaker 9: been living in sin for nine years.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Hold on, hold on that.
- 17:07Speaker 13: Let me tell you something. I ain't been living in
- 17:09Speaker 13: those sins. Me and my wife we have been married
- 17:11Speaker 13: for nine years. And that man, he's a preacher. I'm
- 17:14Speaker 13: telling you, he's a preacher. Read preached last Sunday, Sir.
- 17:17Speaker 9: As of today, he is he has no right to
- 17:20Speaker 9: be in anybody's pull pit. He has no right to
- 17:22Speaker 9: be officiating, whether it's weddings or funerals, no matter what
- 17:26Speaker 9: it is, christenings for children. He's not allowed to do that.
- 17:29Speaker 9: And we have officially stopped him from doing anything serving
- 17:33Speaker 9: under as being a pastor or a minister. We have
- 17:37Speaker 9: stopped at But what I want you to know is
- 17:40Speaker 9: that you have been living in sin and you don't.
- 17:44Speaker 9: We want to try and get you guys married as
- 17:46Speaker 9: soon as possible, so you're not living in sin.
- 17:48Speaker 13: Oh no, dog, I have been living in those sin.
- 17:51Speaker 13: I have been married for nine years. This woman shit
- 17:54Speaker 13: has been taking care of me and my kids for
- 17:56Speaker 13: the past nine Wait.
- 17:57Speaker 9: Wait, wait, wait a minute, wait a minute. You guys children?
- 18:00Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, we got two kids, two beautiful kids.
- 18:03Speaker 9: Okay, then those kids are bastards.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Bastards.
- 18:06Speaker 13: Hold up, hold on, let me tell you something. My
- 18:08Speaker 13: kids ain't no baskets. What about your kids? Your kids ambassts.
- 18:11Speaker 9: No, sir, my kids were born in wedlock. Your kids
- 18:14Speaker 9: have been born out of wed.
- 18:16Speaker 13: I'm telling you that man did my service, and he
- 18:20Speaker 13: is a preacher. He's a man after God's own heart himself.
- 18:24Speaker 13: He hasn't done everything that he could for me and
- 18:26Speaker 13: my family.
- 18:27Speaker 5: He is a preacher.
- 18:28Speaker 9: Sir, I know it's hard for you to swallow the truth,
- 18:32Speaker 9: but I want you to know, and I need you
- 18:33Speaker 9: to be able to tell our theater. You guys are
- 18:35Speaker 9: not married and not as of right now.
- 18:37Speaker 13: No, no, okay, so holder hold on now, back in
- 18:42Speaker 13: the older days, but before all these all these colleges
- 18:45Speaker 13: and stuff came came about. You telling me that their
- 18:47Speaker 13: men making old days, that they wasn't no preachers, that
- 18:50Speaker 13: they wasn't men after the clock.
- 18:52Speaker 9: What are you getting at, sir.
- 18:54Speaker 13: What I'm trying to say is back in the older days,
- 18:56Speaker 13: baking the twenties and thirties, they didn't have all these
- 18:58Speaker 13: colleges and all these degrees and stuff like these new
- 19:01Speaker 13: preachers got these days. That man now he was from
- 19:03Speaker 13: back then, and God called him and that's what they
- 19:06Speaker 13: went on too. And all them people that they married
- 19:09Speaker 13: back then, they did the same thing today. You don't

- 23:04Speaker 1: that he saw her earlier in the restaurant and their

- 23:09Speaker 1: kiss him goodbye?
- 23:12Speaker 6: What?
- 23:14Speaker 7: I can't let me just let me say this. You know,

- 23:33Speaker 7: the only way he can fix this is he must
- 23:36Speaker 7: come up with a great lie. Yeah, nork, but you
- 23:40Speaker 7: face timing. You didn't see her walking towards you. I
- 23:44Speaker 7: just cut your camera off.

- 24:00Speaker 7: I just know, bro, the fact that you let this

- 24:36Speaker 7: Moving on to Detroit, because you know, if you're that stupid,
- 24:40Speaker 7: you've done something else before and you're gonna do something else.
- 24:44Speaker 8: So I'm not gonna be able to save you. You're
- 24:45Speaker 8: just too stupid.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Facetiming with other women.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Tommy said he was super stupid. All right, Bro,
- 24:59Speaker 1: I've been.

- 25:02Speaker 7: In the meeting, Marjorie and FaceTime meet we I'm in
- 25:06Speaker 7: the hallway because I'm not gonna have to explain this.
- 25:12Speaker 1: All right, Oh go ahead, I know that that was
- 25:15Speaker 1: really something.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Moving on to Meredith and Detroit, Meredith writes, my husband
- 25:21Speaker 1: usually goes outside to talk on the phone because he's
- 25:24Speaker 1: so loud. But lately he's been quieter when he's out
- 25:28Speaker 1: on the patio on the phone. I need to know
- 25:32Speaker 1: why he's so quiet all of a sudden. Should I
- 25:35Speaker 1: have a camera installed out back?
- 25:38Speaker 7: Oh well, now you can put the camera out back
- 25:41Speaker 7: if you want to, but let me let me talk
- 25:43Speaker 7: to the fellas right now.
- 25:45Speaker 2: This is what you do.
- 25:47Speaker 8: You get up, you go outside and you talk, you.
- 25:53Speaker 7: Know, FaceTime and Lector Walman walk upon good night.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Outside.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Mad.
- 26:02Speaker 8: I can't, that's just yeah, I'm mad. I'm still mad
- 26:07Speaker 8: at him.
- 26:08Speaker 9: What you know?
- 26:08Speaker 7: Uh, now, as far as you installing the camera. Look,
- 26:12Speaker 7: I wouldn't go through all of that, you know, Yeah,
- 26:16Speaker 7: you know I'm not. I don't want to be in
- 26:18Speaker 7: that marriage.
- 26:19Speaker 8: Marriage No.
- 26:20Speaker 7: If I got the spy, yeah, I got a partner
- 26:27Speaker 7: to hide a private eye to follow his wife.
- 26:32Speaker 8: Yeah. And so I after he told it to me,
- 26:35Speaker 8: he said, what would you do? I said, that's not
- 26:37Speaker 8: my wife.
- 26:38Speaker 10: No more.
- 26:38Speaker 8: If I got to get a private eye to go follow.
- 26:42Speaker 2: You, I'm not.
- 26:43Speaker 8: I'm not fitna do that. I'm not to do that.
- 26:49Speaker 8: You're just going where you're going out there?
- 26:54Speaker 11: Just Colombo.
- 26:58Speaker 8: Too much it is, but I tell you you get
- 27:00Speaker 8: where you're going, your credit card ain't gonna work.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna just let you, all right. Moving on to
- 27:08Speaker 1: Bow and East Point, Bow writes, I met a beautiful
- 27:13Speaker 1: woman on Instagram. I went to Miami to meet her,
- 27:17Speaker 1: and I found out she's married but getting a divorce.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I told her, let's put everything on pause until she's single.
- 27:25Speaker 1: She said, if I snooze, I lose. Should I risk
- 27:29Speaker 1: losing her? Please help? If you snooze, you lose, That's
- 27:37Speaker 1: what she said. Yeah, she fine.
- 27:40Speaker 8: You went to Miami.
- 27:43Speaker 7: She getting a divorce. Let's put everything on Paul's to
- 27:47Speaker 7: you clear?
- 27:49Speaker 2: All right?
- 27:49Speaker 1: Now.
- 27:50Speaker 8: I got jokes for that, but let me let's have
- 27:53Speaker 8: an honest conversation.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:56Speaker 8: The god in you said, let's Paul until you get clear.
- 28:04Speaker 7: The devil in her said, if you snooze, you lose.
- 28:09Speaker 7: Right now, bro, I'm gonna tell you right now. She
- 28:12Speaker 7: may be fine, she may even be getting a divorce.
- 28:16Speaker 7: But if you move forward, after you just told yourself
- 28:20Speaker 7: to the latest, you fin to run up and you
- 28:23Speaker 7: fin to find out the very reason you.
- 28:26Speaker 8: Said, let's put this on pause till you get clear.
- 28:29Speaker 7: And once she once a man verbally gives himself a
- 28:33Speaker 7: warning and then he goes against that warning. You fin
- 28:37Speaker 7: to find out why you had the warning. I can
- 28:39Speaker 7: about one thousand percent promise you that I like that.
- 28:44Speaker 7: I can about one thousand percent promise you that she
- 28:47Speaker 7: may be getting a divorce. I'm not saying she not,
- 28:50Speaker 7: but something in you said, hey, let's wait till we
- 28:52Speaker 7: get clear.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 28:54Speaker 8: That's you know.
- 28:55Speaker 7: Sometimes God protects us. Follow that self, father, dog. If
- 28:59Speaker 7: you don't follow that, you find to find out why
- 29:02Speaker 7: you say it. I promise you you will.
- 29:04Speaker 10: Dog.
- 29:05Speaker 1: So he should risk losing her, Yes, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 29:10Speaker 2: If not, it's a it's a it's a in the
- 29:13Speaker 2: crystal ball, I'll see it, and.
- 29:15Speaker 7: It's a risk no matter what, Dog, he can lose
- 29:18Speaker 7: most stuff to listen, because you're the hottest man.
- 29:22Speaker 8: Feel about the Yeah, vorce this lose, I lose all right.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Last one, Steve, This is from Janey in Houston. Janey writes,
- 29:31Speaker 1: my coworker said she saw a woman in my husband's car,
- 29:34Speaker 1: and she pulled up to speak and realized it wasn't
- 29:37Speaker 1: me in the car. My husband never mentioned it. Is
- 29:40Speaker 1: it worth asking him about it? Or should I assume
- 29:42Speaker 1: my coworker had the wrong car.
- 29:50Speaker 8: That's that's what you want to go with.
- 29:53Speaker 7: You want to assume, so you either you either you
- 29:57Speaker 7: either want to know what you don't want to know, right,
- 30:01Speaker 7: and it seemed to me like you don't want the truth.
- 30:04Speaker 8: So your assumption is to assume she pulled up to.
- 30:07Speaker 1: The wrong car.
- 30:09Speaker 7: Okay, then go with that, because I promised you right
- 30:14Speaker 7: now if you ask him about this woman in.
- 30:16Speaker 8: The car, what the hell are you talking about?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 30:20Speaker 14: That's what I thought. It was the wrong car because
- 30:22Speaker 14: I'm not fitting admitted. All right, Thank you, Cielo. Coming
- 30:28Speaker 14: up at the top of the hour. We will have
- 30:30Speaker 14: some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening
- 30:34Speaker 14: Hardy Morning Show.
- 30:40Speaker 1: ESPN adjusted its NBA coverage this week and rolled out
- 30:43Speaker 1: its new look NBA Countdown team led by Melika Andrews
- 30:47Speaker 1: with Brian Windhorst, Kendrick Perkins, and Michael Malone. Stephen A.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Smith did not appear on the new lineup and has
- 30:56Speaker 1: not shown up on the program at all this preseason
- 30:59Speaker 1: or regular season. For the first time in more than
- 31:02Speaker 1: twenty years, Steven a will not participate in the NBA

- 31:11Speaker 1: coverage after adding Inside the NBA with Charles Barkley, Shack,
- 31:16Speaker 1: Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson. But even with Steven A
- 31:20Speaker 1: being removed from the Countdown team, he remains locked into ESPN.
- 31:25Speaker 1: You know, he just signed that five year, one hundred
- 31:27Speaker 1: and five million dollar extension this year that was earlier,
- 31:31Speaker 1: so at least he still works there. So what are
- 31:34Speaker 1: you making of this, Steve that.
- 31:36Speaker 8: Because he ain't got no friends in the NBA.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Oh so you have to have friend What do you
- 31:42Speaker 1: need to Yeah, he said, well, you know, all.
- 31:46Speaker 7: Great reporters have had a report with the star athlete
- 31:53Speaker 7: in that particular sport.
- 31:55Speaker 8: You're upset that one?
- 31:56Speaker 1: We know all that one with Lebron Yeah.
- 32:00Speaker 7: Howard Coachell had Muhammad Ali got you, uh, Costas had
- 32:06Speaker 7: Michael Jordan Michael, you don't, you cannot. I'm just this
- 32:12Speaker 7: in my opinion about career Jordans he they man relationship.
- 32:19Speaker 7: You've got to be somebody that the players want to
- 32:23Speaker 7: talk to.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Okay. But on the flip side of that, though, stephen
- 32:29Speaker 1: A as a reporter is supposed to be biased and
- 32:33Speaker 1: just you know, report what he sees. He's supposed to
- 32:36Speaker 1: be biased.
- 32:36Speaker 7: Yeah, if you're gonna talk about the sport, you can't
- 32:40Speaker 7: be all in these cats background.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Right, A lot of that's the opinion part of it.
- 32:45Speaker 7: Yeah, that's what many The problem with him and Lebron
- 32:49Speaker 7: was when he got into Lebron as a father, right,
- 32:53Speaker 7: and look, man, here's against my wishes.
- 32:56Speaker 8: What I this was just me talking.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Man.
- 32:59Speaker 7: I would have apologized to Lebron and said, hey, man,
- 33:02Speaker 7: you know what, my bad overstepped my bounds. I should
- 33:05Speaker 7: have never said nothing about you being to day. That's
- 33:09Speaker 7: that would have fixed it. Hey man, I'm sorry, bro,
- 33:12Speaker 7: my bad. You're absolutely right.
- 33:14Speaker 8: I was out of line for that.
- 33:16Speaker 7: There's nothing wrong with being wrong. But when but when
- 33:20Speaker 7: you hold the line. Man, if he if he'd have
- 33:24Speaker 7: raised up out to put hands on him, you to
- 33:25Speaker 7: put hands on who n he'd he'd have put you
- 33:37Speaker 7: in one of them sleeves he'd be wearing sixty's. So
- 33:43Speaker 7: this kind is a physical specimen. And even though Lebron
- 33:47Speaker 7: don't fight, we we know who don't fight.
- 33:53Speaker 2: We saw his.
- 33:54Speaker 7: Punching about that videos he was working on see and

- 34:21Speaker 2: no no rotat not none of that.
- 34:23Speaker 8: Let me see that punching that go ahead. Excuse me.
- 34:29Speaker 8: So this t VN A Smith video when he was boxing.
- 34:33Speaker 1: So is this considered a demotion?
- 34:35Speaker 2: I mean, what what?
- 34:37Speaker 6: What is this?
- 34:38Speaker 9: No?
- 34:38Speaker 7: I don't think it's a demotion. I just think, you know,
- 34:41Speaker 7: it's just they gotta they gotta build a network. They
- 34:44Speaker 7: got other people. They got some good people. That perk
- 34:46Speaker 7: is good man. There's some cats in there that's good.

- 35:32Speaker 1: They're expanding. So it's true what you think. They are,
- 35:35Speaker 1: just expanding, just expanding. You know, you can't put him
- 35:38Speaker 1: on everything.
- 35:39Speaker 9: You know.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah, at the end of the day, he knows sports
- 35:42Speaker 2: running backwards, he got down to a sound. Yeah, he
- 35:45Speaker 2: knows his job.
- 35:47Speaker 8: But he he gotta get all off all the other subjects. Yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 8: mege is great. You don't know how you made that statement.

- 37:10Speaker 1: Reading it coming after three minutes after the hour, Michelle
- 37:15Speaker 1: Obama thinks America is not ready for a female president.
- 37:19Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 37:23Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Around the holidays, it's hard to find
- 37:31Speaker 1: the right gifts, but you know, it's even harder getting
- 37:34Speaker 1: the right gift. But get this. Verizon's got the perfect
- 37:38Speaker 1: solve for both. They have incredible gift bundles. You get
- 37:43Speaker 1: the latest phone with a new line on my plan
- 37:46Speaker 1: and a brand new smartwatch and tablet, no trade in needed.
- 37:50Speaker 1: You can give a couple away and get yourself one two,
- 37:53Speaker 1: or you could keep them all to yourself. No one
- 37:56Speaker 1: has to know. Stop by your local Verizon. Former First
- 38:01Speaker 1: Lady Michelle Obama recently spoke at the Brooklyn Academy of
- 38:04Speaker 1: Music while promoting her new book. When asked about running
- 38:07Speaker 1: for president, Missus Obama said that she is tired of
- 38:12Speaker 1: being asked about running for president because America is not
- 38:15Speaker 1: ready for what a female president. Missus Obama told the audience, quote,
- 38:20Speaker 1: as we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain't ready.
- 38:24Speaker 1: This is why I am like, don't even look at
- 38:26Speaker 1: me about running, because you all are lying. You are
- 38:29Speaker 1: not ready for a woman. You are not, So don't
- 38:32Speaker 1: waste my time. We got a lot of growing up
- 38:35Speaker 1: to do, and they are still sadly, there are still,
- 38:38Speaker 1: sadly a lot of men who feel like they cannot
- 38:41Speaker 1: be led by a woman.
- 38:43Speaker 2: True, this is.
- 38:43Speaker 8: True, Mergan, I feel I feel that exact same way.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can't.
- 38:52Speaker 7: But I got one dragon mine well, and you can't
- 38:58Speaker 7: get back in this story fall.
- 39:00Speaker 8: In chain hooked up.
- 39:02Speaker 7: Yeah no I don't really, but you know, in all seriousness,
- 39:07Speaker 7: this country's not ready for a female president, and they
- 39:10Speaker 7: really not fin to elect no black women. Yeah, that's
- 39:16Speaker 7: not even They're not going to do that that year,
- 39:21Speaker 7: a year ago, because this is America. Surely, yes, it
- 39:26Speaker 7: is still America, predominantly run by white men who are
- 39:32Speaker 7: in controlling positions. Super packs, money corporations, all of that
- 39:39Speaker 7: Project twenty five all white men, Donald Trump's cabinet all
- 39:45Speaker 7: white men, right. They are afraid of losing their grip
- 39:50Speaker 7: and their power. That's why they don't want immigrants over here.
- 39:54Speaker 7: They don't want to be a minority. You don't understand
- 39:57Speaker 7: the fear of that some, not all, some white people
- 40:03Speaker 7: have of being a minority and not being in charge.
- 40:05Speaker 7: He's scaring them because they know what they've done to minorities,
- 40:09Speaker 7: and now they don't want to be one of them.
- 40:12Speaker 8: See that's and that's not all white people. Don't get
- 40:15Speaker 8: me wrong. Let me tell you sound.
- 40:17Speaker 7: Slavery did not go away because black people got tired
- 40:20Speaker 7: of being slaves. Slavery went away because there was some
- 40:23Speaker 7: well thinking and good white people who saw this as
- 40:29Speaker 7: a horrific crime against mankind. That's slavery. End it because
- 40:34Speaker 7: a lot of white people went well, y'all crazy. All
- 40:37Speaker 7: the black people wanted it over but you needed some
- 40:40Speaker 7: people in power that can help push this across. But
- 40:43Speaker 7: the residue of people who did not want it. See,
- 40:46Speaker 7: here's a problem that they keep talking about. They say
- 40:49Speaker 7: only two percent of Americans owned slaves. Yeah, but they
- 40:54Speaker 7: owned all of them and all their friends.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Enough fit well happen, math and back to a woman
- 41:05Speaker 1: running the country. I can't wait. It's gonna happen one day.
- 41:10Speaker 2: It can.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Yeah, coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,

- 56:36Speaker 1: just like we're going to read this one right here,
- 56:38Speaker 1: right now, and you never know, it could be yours.
- 56:41Speaker 2: It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 56:43Speaker 2: We got it point and hear it is strawberry.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Let up, Thank you, nephew. Subject. When I look, I
- 56:50Speaker 1: find Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been divorced for five years
- 56:54Speaker 1: and I'm starting to date again. I've been eager to
- 56:57Speaker 1: find a new guy for years, but as love would
- 57:00Speaker 1: have it. I've been picking men that are just like
- 57:03Speaker 1: my cheating ex husband. The last guy I met seemed
- 57:06Speaker 1: like he was going to be a good prospect, but
- 57:08Speaker 1: we've only been together for four months and he's already
- 57:11Speaker 1: shown me that one woman isn't enough for him. He
- 57:15Speaker 1: started out sending me flowers and taking me on nice dates.
- 57:18Speaker 1: We had sex after our fourth date, and he got
- 57:21Speaker 1: up and went home right after we were intimate. He
- 57:24Speaker 1: said that he really needed to use his own restroom
- 57:26Speaker 1: at his own home. That almost caused an argument as
- 57:30Speaker 1: he left my house in the middle of the night.
- 57:32Speaker 1: He used that same excuse whenever he was supposed to
- 57:35Speaker 1: spend the night at my house. We'd always eat dinner
- 57:38Speaker 1: at my house or go out to eat and have
- 57:40Speaker 1: sex later on. Right after sex, he was out the
- 57:43Speaker 1: door and headed home to use a bathroom and take
- 57:46Speaker 1: a shower. On Friday night, when he did that, I
- 57:49Speaker 1: decided to ride by his house after he had been
- 57:51Speaker 1: home a while. He was there sitting on his front
- 57:55Speaker 1: steps with a woman. I slowed up and blew the horn.
- 57:58Speaker 1: He jumped up and came over to my car, asking
- 58:01Speaker 1: why I was at his house unannounced. I told him
- 58:05Speaker 1: I was suspicious that he was dating other people. He
- 58:07Speaker 1: told me that we aren't exclusive and I'm too messy
- 58:10Speaker 1: to ever be his girl. He said he wasn't cheating
- 58:13Speaker 1: because I was never his girl. I'm grateful that I
- 58:16Speaker 1: got in my car and rode by his house. When
- 58:19Speaker 1: I look, I find is it best to look and
- 58:22Speaker 1: be aware or act like you don't know what a
- 58:24Speaker 1: man is up to? Why is it a lose lose
- 58:28Speaker 1: situation for women trying to date? Wow, I guess because
- 58:33Speaker 1: dating has changed so much over the years, just like
- 58:37Speaker 1: everything else in the world. I mean, there's no courting
- 58:40Speaker 1: or like getting to know you period anymore. People nowadays
- 58:44Speaker 1: get love bombed in the first couple of weeks, where
- 58:47Speaker 1: the men whine and dine you, they call you every day,
- 58:50Speaker 1: they spend quality time with you, to send you flowers
- 58:53Speaker 1: like this guy did all of that. Then after that
- 58:56Speaker 1: two week time frame, after you've slept with him or whatever,
- 58:59Speaker 1: it's a short time time frame, two weeks or whatever,
- 59:02Speaker 1: it's usually just over the phone call stop, the attentative
- 59:06Speaker 1: tentif ness stops and he starts ghosting you or whatever.
- 59:11Speaker 1: I guess that you've been divorced for five years and
- 59:13Speaker 1: you want to be in a relationship. You said you
- 59:15Speaker 1: were eager to be in a relationship, but you still
- 59:17Speaker 1: have to take your time to see if these guys
- 59:19Speaker 1: are even worth it. What you don't want is to
- 59:23Speaker 1: come off as desperate. I mean, men can smell that
- 59:26Speaker 1: kind of stuff a mile away and they go in
- 59:28Speaker 1: for the kill. I say, you're not ready to date.
- 59:31Speaker 1: You got to find out who you are, get your
- 59:33Speaker 1: confidence up. I think you need to decide what you want,
- 59:37Speaker 1: what kind of man you want. Then you know you
- 59:40Speaker 1: won't keep ending up in these same type situations with
- 59:43Speaker 1: these men. Work on your confidence, work on self love.
- 59:47Speaker 7: Steve Well said Shirley. I agree with what you're saying.
- 59:51Speaker 7: Oh here's the part for me with women.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 59:56Speaker 7: You get with these men that you really don't know.
- 59:59Speaker 7: You get with these men that you have no clarification
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: of what you have with this man. You get with
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: these men and you assume, and when you meet a man,
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: you forget that. When you meet this man, what do
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: you think he's been doing up until the day y'all
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: met what you thought? Stop meeting men thinking they free
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: and clear. Ain't nobody free and clear? Everybody you meet
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: in this world is connected to somebody somewhere, some way.
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: There are no free and clear people who You've been
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: divorced five years, You meet a man what you thought
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: he was doing when you met him sitting at the house.
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: Everybody you meet comes with a past. Your job is
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: to uncover as much of the past as you can
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: to determine if you can fit into a future with them.
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: That is the real deal. It ain't no lose lose
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: you or a woman out here dating. Stop jumping to conclusions.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Stop alte.
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: I wrote a book in two thousand and nine.
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: I'm thinking about writing another book because dating has changed.
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: I'm thinking about really really pulling the covers back on
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: this one too. But I wrote a long time ago
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: a ninety day rule that it still applies. But y'all
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: don't because y'all Instagram now and everything is instant.
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: So here we go.
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: You've been met, divorced five years and starting to date again.
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: Surely said it best. I've been eager to find a
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: new guy for years, but as luck would have it,
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: I keep picking men that are just like my cheat
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: next husband. Really, well, let's find out about this guy.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: Last guy met seemed like he was gonna be a
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: good prospect. But we've only been together four months and
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: he's already showed me that one woman ain't enough for him. Okay,
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: good at out sending me flowers and taking me on
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: nice dates. We had sex after our fourth date. Okay,
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: when was the fourth date? How much time was it?
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: Two weeks?
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: Was it ten days? Was it a month?
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: And why, ladies, do you not understand when you first
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: meet a man that you are meeting his representative.
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: You're not meeting who he really is.
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: When you first meet him, you're meeting his representative. Then
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: after a while you get to know who he is.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: We had sex after our fourth date. He got up
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: and went home right after we were intimate. He said
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: he really needed to use his own restroom at his
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: own house. Now that right there, I can understand. I
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: respect that, and that right there, you didn't give him
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: enough credit for that. It's some people that have got
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: to get up and go to the bathroom, and that's
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: when we come back. Got to get out this house.
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: You can't know this.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Steve's response at twenty three minutes after the hour Today's
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Strawberry letter subject is when I look, I find We'll
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: get back into it. Right after this, you're listening Steve
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:49Speaker 1: website and Amazon. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. The subject is when I look I find.
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: Okay, ladies, I've talked to you about this letter, and
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: you've got to be smarter when you're dating. Dating has
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: changed over the years, but you still have to be smart.
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: And the ninety day rule that I had before it
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: should still applied. But it don't cause y'all done got
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: around that.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Y'all done.
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: Let me in talk you into it, y'all Instagram people,
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: so y'all don't do that no more.
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: Stop assuming of men, Stop dating men you don't know
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: what you're and stop expecting them to treat you the
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: way you treat them. Stop and when you meet a man,
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: first thing you must know is he comes with a
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: past and a history. Secondly, know this nobody you meet
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: is unconnected. Everybody is connected to somebody. Ain't no way
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: in the world you done met this man, found him
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: to be attractive, and you the only one. Stop thinking
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: you've met a man that ain't got nobody?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Why would he do that?
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: What made you know that can have sex, can perform sexually,
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: and is not where he stayed? What country he live in?
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: All right, so you'd have met this guy and you
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: mad because he just like your ex cheating HUGSB.
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: So you met this guy. After the fourth date, y'all
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: had sex.
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: I don't know how long that was, but obviously you
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: didn't know him well enough, and after four months he
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: didn't show you. The one woman ain't enough for him.
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: He started out sending you flowers, going on nice dates.
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: That's because you were meeting his representative. I tried to
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: explain that to you. We had sex after that fourth date.
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: He got it, went home right after we were intimate.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: He said he really needed to use his own restroom
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: at his own home. Come on, now you gotta get
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: his man credit for this. Right here, I've been there,
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: you must. I'm telling you one of the worst nights
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: of my life when I dated this creole girl and
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: my stomach was tored up from eating creole food with him,
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: and I knew to go home, and her parents wasn't home,
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: and she said, come on in. I should have took
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: my home, but I went up in her house. And
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: what I go up in that, folk, cause my stomach
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: was cutting and it went on up in there, and
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: I used a bathroom at her mama's house. We never
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: dated again after that. When a man tells you that
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: he got to go home to his own bathroom, respect that,
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: because if you make him go to the bathroom in there,
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: something fin to go home when he shut that door,
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: that he not gonna be able to open that door
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: for awhile, I'm just telling you anyway, that almost caused
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: an argument.
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: As he left my house in the middle of the night.
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: He used the same excuse. Whenever we were supposed to
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: spend the night in my house. We'd always eat dinner
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: at my house and go out to eat and have
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: sex later on.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: Right after sex, he was out the door headed home
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: to use the bathroom and take a.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: Shower or go.
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: I still ain't mad at that, because until you are
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: in that room, after he come out that bathroom, you
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: really don't know why he got to get home. So
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: I ain't mad at this right here on Friday night,
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: when he did that, I decided to ride by his
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: house after he had been home.
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: For a while.
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: He was there sitting on the front steps with a woman.
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: I slowed up and blew the horn. He ran out
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: there and asked you why he was at his house unannounced.
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: I told him I was suspicious that he was dating
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: other people. He told me, we ain't exclusive, and I'm
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: too messy to ever be his girl. How did you
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: think y'all was exclusive because you met a man and
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: had sex with it.
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: What made you think y'all was exclusive? Did you ask
- 1:07:55Speaker 8: were you exclusive?
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: Or did you assume? Did he ever tells you y'all
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: were exclusive? Well, now, he over sitting on the steps
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: with the girl. He said he wasn't cheating because I
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: was never his girl. Wow, But because you slept with him,
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: you thought you was his girl. No, you was another
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: person he was having sex with.
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: That's who you were. That's not his fault. That's you
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: not getting clarity on what you have with a man.
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: Stop thinking because you done gave him some sex that
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: he is going to give you exclusivity. That is not
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: how it works. I am telling you that right now.
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: That's just not how it works. And you got to
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: stop expecting that. And it's sad. It's so sad. Now,
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: let me tell you something. You know why they sitting
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: outside on them steps because he didn't went in there
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: and used the bathroom. And they still can't go in
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: that house. That's why they was out on them steps.
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: I'll tell you that right now, sitting out on them steps,
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: cause I'm telling you ain't kin't nobody he'd have went
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: home and used the bathroom.
- 1:09:25Speaker 8: Now that woman that came.
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: By, they outside on the steps because they cannot go
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: in that house.
- 1:09:32Speaker 8: Because he'd have been in there using the bathroom.
- 1:09:34Speaker 7: So I rest my case what I think he's still
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: strong with that bathroom line.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: But that is the.
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: They sitting on them steps. Can't nobody go in that house.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: On Today's Strawberry Letter on the Instagram at faith.
- 1:09:56Speaker 8: Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord, and.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Check us out on the Strawberry Letter Podcast he got
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: a problem.
- 1:10:04Speaker 8: That's probably why he ain't got no girl.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Coming up Sports Talk right after this, you're listening to
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Around the holidays, it's hard

- 1:10:52Speaker 15: All right, sure, let's go ahead talk about it. You know,
- 1:10:54Speaker 15: on Sunday he actually got into game. Shador Sand's got
- 1:10:57Speaker 15: in the game against the Baltimore Ravens. Gabrin Dylan Gabriel
- 1:11:02Speaker 15: had a concussion and so you know they brought in Shoudor.
- 1:11:05Speaker 15: But you know it was it was amazing how crazy
- 1:11:07Speaker 15: the fans but when they saw they bought run out there. Man,
- 1:11:09Speaker 15: they saw that he two go out there. They were
- 1:11:11Speaker 15: so excited when he went out there, we saw hope.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Is that what it's about us? Yeah?
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: Well none with Dylan Gabriel. I told that happened to
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: get go. I said a whole Pivot podcast. They're gonna
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: put Dylan Grabile in there and then the Wolves is coming.
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: I said that on the Pivot podcast.
- 1:11:28Speaker 11: Well, man, you're absolutely right because it came in there.
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: Man, he's not a professional football quarterback. He's a college quarterback.
- 1:11:35Speaker 15: Now, now, Chador, look, you know, should Door had a
- 1:11:37Speaker 15: rough go of it, you know, but it's his first
- 1:11:39Speaker 15: It's actually no reps with the first team. None since
- 1:11:42Speaker 15: it's week eleven. He has never worked out with the
- 1:11:45Speaker 15: first strink.
- 1:11:46Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:11:46Speaker 15: I don't know why that's crazy, because you know, you
- 1:11:48Speaker 15: got to develop these players. But he has never taken
- 1:11:51Speaker 15: any snaps with the first team.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: That's why I look like that.
- 1:11:54Speaker 11: But he's gonna make his first professional start this Sunday
- 1:11:56Speaker 11: against the Raiders.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: But here's why I don't like.
- 1:11:58Speaker 15: I don't like y'all giving it this boy all this
- 1:12:00Speaker 15: flak for one half of football. It is not his

- 1:12:14Speaker 9: Is that what it is?
- 1:12:18Speaker 8: He makes this statement too white.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: After the game.
- 1:12:24Speaker 15: You see your door saying that, sitting on the bench
- 1:12:26Speaker 15: after they lose to the Raven And he's taking it

- 1:12:38Speaker 1: He's but the man is a competitive.

- 1:13:36Speaker 15: week of practice with the first team with the first
- 1:13:41Speaker 15: the Raiders Brown Finn to get a win.

- 1:13:49Speaker 1: from Shy Shy and in Arlington, a wife is worried
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: that her husband doesn't care about her anymore. We'll talk
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: about it, I promise you.
- 1:13:59Speaker 8: That woman.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,

- 1:14:25Speaker 1: It's chee che girl Chee.
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: But I was like, I can't take this bougie girl
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: nowhere any way.
- 1:14:34Speaker 8: Call it get her, love her.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: She got the name. You got it, Chee Chee. You
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: got it. Surely she was from Chicago. You were gonna
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: say that?
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Every day, as soon as I leave the job, I
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: text my husband to let him know I am headed home.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I have a forty five minute commute. I noticed some
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: days he doesn't even text me back, and I can
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: see that he read text. I stopped at the grocery
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: store yesterday and I didn't tell him it was pitch
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: black dark and almost seven pm when I got home,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: my husband did not check on me at all. I
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: told him that he's followed for that, and he said
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: that I need too much attention. How dare he say that?
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Does that mean that he does not care about me
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: or my whereabouts?
- 1:15:21Speaker 8: Yea, yeah, pretty much? Yeah, you need too much attention?
- 1:15:28Speaker 8: Why can't Why would I care about your where about it?
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: What he's just Wow?
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: All I want is that forty five minute notice that
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: I got forty five more minutes.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Of freedom, Jesus wife, He doesn't care.
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: Well, you stopped at that store in the pitch black
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: and I had an extra time at the house.
- 1:15:51Speaker 8: What, thank you God?
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: This is wrong. You know that's wrong.
- 1:15:58Speaker 8: He through with her. He done told her you need
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: too much attention. Why do you want somebody to care
- 1:16:05Speaker 8: about you?
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: Shut shut?
- 1:16:07Speaker 8: I mean girl has lost stop it ain't shot.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Shot whatever shy shy chichi is. Her husband is terrible,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: that's the bottom bottom line.
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean he threw I mean he didn't checked out. Yeah,
- 1:16:22Speaker 7: but you, first of all, you don't say that to
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: your wife. That's she's the number one rule of being married.
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: And I talked this to my attorney one time that
- 1:16:33Speaker 7: he went a while uh huh, because he was getting
- 1:16:35Speaker 7: in little arguments with his wife about little bitty stuff.
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: I said, my man, you missing one key element your
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: job as a husband. He said, what's that mistage? Show concern?
- 1:16:47Speaker 7: That show you have always got to show concern. I
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: don't care what they come in and talking about the one.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: I had to tell you that.
- 1:16:55Speaker 8: Okay, show concern. No, I had to learn that, Uh
- 1:16:59Speaker 8: because I used to didn't give it.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you need to pay attention and listen.
- 1:17:06Speaker 8: You were here talking about how was your day? Well, and.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: How I was young.
- 1:17:12Speaker 8: I didn't know how was your day with her? I've
- 1:17:14Speaker 8: been at work too, so yeah, we both got jobs.
- 1:17:18Speaker 8: How was your day?
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: My day?
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: But you can't have a baby. All right, we have
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: time for another one.

- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Have time for another one. This is from our Linda
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: and Jackson. My mother in law knows I don't like
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: to feed my family canned foods, but she insisted on
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: bringing canned green beans, corn, and collared greens to my house.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: This past Sunday, we had a Thanksgiving celebration early because
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: she's going out of town. I didn't allow our twelve
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: year old and nine year old to eat that food
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: filled with sodium. My mother in law got offended, and
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: my husband has been rolling his eyes at me as
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: a mom. Am I not allowed to have rules?
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:18:06Speaker 7: Yeah, you can have rules, but you know, you know,
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: and I understand you don't want your kids eating sod
- 1:18:13Speaker 7: him and preservatives.
- 1:18:14Speaker 8: I got only but you go eat it today though.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: You have today, you go eat your grandmother vegetables. You today,

- 1:25:25Speaker 1: it's on you. You're up.
- 1:25:26Speaker 7: You know we were talking earlier and Junior, I forgot
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: what was your initial question? What was your initial question?
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:25:34Speaker 11: It was a how do we know if what we
- 1:25:37Speaker 11: want in life.
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: Is what God wants for us?
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: How do we know if what we want in life
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: God wants for us? My quick response was you ain't
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: gonna get it correct. And then as we were talking
- 1:25:50Speaker 7: off air, Carla said to me, Carla said, remember the saying,
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: My grandma used to tell me that. Yeah, yeah, you know.
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: And I got to thinking about that, which leads to
- 1:26:06Speaker 7: my closing remarks. Me being a comedian for the early
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: part of my career, I must have han had God
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: on the flow hollering because I can't tell you the
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: plans I came up with, only to find out it
- 1:26:25Speaker 7: wasn't God's plan for me, and what I had to
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: eventually learn what I didn't know.
- 1:26:33Speaker 8: When the beginning is, Hey, Steve, why.
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: Don't you ask God what he has for you?
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: Instead of all the time going to God telling God
- 1:26:45Speaker 8: what you want from him.
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: Steve, why don't you start asking God what he has
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: or wants for you? Because his plan is going to
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: be better than the one you had. But I didn't
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: do that.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: I just didn't do it.
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: For years. I just went to God with what I wanted.
- 1:27:03Speaker 7: And here was the dumber thing. Most of the time,
- 1:27:07Speaker 7: I didn't even go to God. I just went after
- 1:27:11Speaker 7: what I wanted. Somebody out there know what I'm talking about,
- 1:27:18Speaker 7: And boy, let me tell you something. It's just because
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: I've understood the power of being authentic with people and
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: not being fakean acting like I've always had it together.
- 1:27:28Speaker 8: No, no, I haven't.
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: I've made thousands of mistakes. I have messed it up
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: so many times. Hey, man, if you all knew all
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: the mistakes I made, it's actually a miracle that I'm
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: here today. It really, I kid you not, And I'm
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: not blowing it up for radio purposes. If God had
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: dealt with me according to my iniquity, if God had
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: if God had shown me no grace and extended to
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: me no mercy and just dealt with me as I was,
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: as I be in a world of trouble, Man, I
- 1:28:15Speaker 7: would be in a world of trouble. But I got
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: news for you, so would you. Hey, mister and misrighteous
- 1:28:23Speaker 7: who sending them talking about?
- 1:28:24Speaker 6: Well?
- 1:28:24Speaker 8: Oh lord, what did Steve do?
- 1:28:26Speaker 9: No?
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: No, what did you do?
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: See all this point and fangle business right here? I
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: stopped doing that to people because I found out very quickly.
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: Man, it's a.
- 1:28:36Speaker 8: Lot of fangle point can come my way too.
- 1:28:40Speaker 7: So in not asking God what he had for me
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: or wanted for me, I pursued a lot of stuff
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: that wasn't good for me. I pursued people that wasn't
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: good for me. I pursued businesses that wasn't good for
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: me or I had to learn the business. Hey, Why
- 1:28:57Speaker 7: why did I think I should own a carpet installation company?
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: Why did I think that?
- 1:29:07Speaker 7: Why did I think I was actually gonna get rich
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: selling to Dick Gregory Bohemian diet? Why did I get
- 1:29:19Speaker 7: into amweight thinking this was my ticket. I'm gonna draw
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: these circles in these living room I'm gonna become a
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: direct diamond distributor. I'm'a be by, i'm'a be like Don
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: and Georgia Hell. And I'm gonna have all these people
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: in Orlando following me, and I'm gonna get up and
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: Gill's speeches like Dexter Wansol and Bill Britt and Don
- 1:29:40Speaker 7: and Georgia Hall. I had all the motivational tapes. Man,
- 1:29:44Speaker 7: I was listening to it all. I'm gonna be a
- 1:29:47Speaker 7: megastar Amway distributor. I didn't ask God one time if
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: that's what I should do. He just set there with
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: his arms fold hollering, laughing at me. If you want
- 1:29:59Speaker 7: to make God laugh, telling me your plan. The whole
- 1:30:02Speaker 7: time I was in them living rooms drawing them circles,
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: he had to be on the flow, laughing or I
- 1:30:09Speaker 7: was good at it, though, because my real gift was
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: standing up in front of people entertaining. So my presentation
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: of circles, oh, man, I turned it into a routine.
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: I didn't even know it.
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: I was the most captivating Amway consultant ever born. You
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: couldn't stand up in front of a living room full
- 1:30:29Speaker 7: of people and draw them circles better than Steve Harvey.
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: I wasn't getting a lot of people that signed up,
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: but I wasn't selling enough soap powder. That was my plan.
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: My plan, man, I can't tell y'all. Y'all had so
- 1:30:50Speaker 7: many plans that went around. You know how many people
- 1:30:52Speaker 7: I've picked that I thought was funny. God, I can't
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: say no name, but Lord have mercy. And it just
- 1:31:03Speaker 7: didn't work out. And as I look back on it,
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: Lord God Almighty, didn't work. Then I forced some things
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: in my life. I just forced some relationships, I forced
- 1:31:12Speaker 7: some stuff, and it ought.
- 1:31:13Speaker 8: None of it worked.
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: Until I stopped and started saying, Okay, God, what you
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: got for me? And now it seems like everything I
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: do works.
- 1:31:27Speaker 8: It don't.
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: But that's what it appears to other people. Somebody told
- 1:31:30Speaker 7: me the other day, man, see everything you touched turned
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: the gold. Now I just started touching what God tell.
- 1:31:38Speaker 8: Me to touch. That's really the fact, and it just
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: looked like it. But I made enough mistakes to learn that.
- 1:31:45Speaker 7: Talk to God today, Ask God to order your steps
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: and you'll have a much better and more.
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: Fulfilling life and save yourself a lot of pain. Y'all,
- 1:31:53Speaker 8: have a good today.
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: For all.
