- 1:59Speaker 1: at it. I sure will, Like good Martin, everybody you
- 2:06Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, come on now, dig me
- 2:10Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey Man old man, got a
- 2:14Speaker 1: radio show. The only way to find your real purpose,
- 2:18Speaker 1: your real mission in life. You're real what for? The
- 2:22Speaker 1: thing that you got to go get it get after
- 2:25Speaker 1: is you've got to connect with God. You have to
- 2:27Speaker 1: connect with him because as your creator, no one knows
- 2:31Speaker 1: better what you were made for than your maker. I
- 2:34Speaker 1: mean not just I mean man, and just make a
- 2:40Speaker 1: lot of common sense, don't it. I mean really, you
- 2:44Speaker 1: know people kill me with with with the lack of belief.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I mean, you know, like all of this that we
- 2:51Speaker 1: have today spun out from a cosmic ball of dust
- 2:55Speaker 1: in the galaxy that cooled off and and formed all
- 2:59Speaker 1: these lakes and rivers and clouds and mountains and valleys
- 3:03Speaker 1: and birds and animals and people from a cosmic speck
- 3:08Speaker 1: of dust. And that they act like there's no connection
- 3:13Speaker 1: to a higher calling or a higher reasoning. Not, that's
- 3:16Speaker 1: just you know. And and they try to create for
- 3:19Speaker 1: those that do believe this hocus focus ritual, this magical
- 3:23Speaker 1: what is that? There's no scientific I don't august science.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I think that science is very real. I think that
- 3:34Speaker 1: science is very applicable. I think that science helps us
- 3:39Speaker 1: learn so many things. But science ain't everything. Now you
- 3:45Speaker 1: you you might as well under that's there's some unexplainable
- 3:48Speaker 1: that science can't wrap their mind around. So here they
- 3:51Speaker 1: go with something else. And then you've got the naysayers
- 3:54Speaker 1: who who use that, the nonbelievers who use that as
- 3:58Speaker 1: the proof that there is no higher calling on how
- 4:00Speaker 1: I being, and I listen to me, I don't really
- 4:05Speaker 1: into explaining all that a way. If that's how you feel,
- 4:07Speaker 1: then gone and get the feeling how you're feeling with it.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But let me explain something to you I just don't
- 4:12Speaker 1: see how. I don't see how. Man, What is this?
- 4:17Speaker 1: What is this conscious that eats away at you from
- 4:20Speaker 1: time to time? Where does the moral barometer come from
- 4:23Speaker 1: that exists in your life? What? What makes you know
- 4:26Speaker 1: the difference between right and wrong? What did that come from?
- 4:30Speaker 1: That cosmic spector dust that spun out of control and
- 4:33Speaker 1: cool this fiery hot ball down, and then these lakes
- 4:37Speaker 1: and rivers and all the clouds and mountains got what?
- 4:40Speaker 1: Where did your conscious come from? What is your need
- 4:45Speaker 1: to cry out from? What does the word Lord help
- 4:49Speaker 1: me come from? Why when you get in a in
- 4:53Speaker 1: a dark place and you whisper Jesus, where did that
- 4:56Speaker 1: come from? What? What is that if you're driving on
- 5:00Speaker 1: the road and your car carams off a cliff? Oh,
- 5:05Speaker 1: Lord help me? You know where? What are these promises
- 5:09Speaker 1: come from that we make, these deals we cut that
- 5:13Speaker 1: we make with a higher power? Why why when you're
- 5:17Speaker 1: at your lowest moment? Man, you you you you you
- 5:20Speaker 1: turned somewhere? Okay, not for that. I've I've explained my
- 5:25Speaker 1: side of it. And a matter of fact, God is
- 5:28Speaker 1: really almost unexplainable to me. Okay, so this we didn't
- 5:33Speaker 1: just had that moment I had to get that off
- 5:35Speaker 1: my chest. I want, I want. I want to share
- 5:37Speaker 1: something with you about when you strike out to find
- 5:43Speaker 1: your mission, or how about when you strike out on
- 5:46Speaker 1: your mission once you discover what your purpose is? Or
- 5:53Speaker 1: let's let's simplify, what happens when you set a goal
- 5:59Speaker 1: and you ready to strike out on that goal. What
- 6:01Speaker 1: happens when you set and ambition in front of you
- 6:07Speaker 1: or put something in your sights that you want to
- 6:09Speaker 1: attain that you want to become successful at. What's the
- 6:13Speaker 1: mind set that you have to develop? There are three
- 6:19Speaker 1: things you must first ask, You must then believe, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: you must then receive. Now the received part all these
- 6:32Speaker 1: parts is it's gotta thing to it. You gotta ask,
- 6:37Speaker 1: You just gotta ask for it. You know you've heard
- 6:40Speaker 1: the scripture before, you have not because you asked, not
- 6:43Speaker 1: why don't you ask? But then after you ask, here
- 6:48Speaker 1: is the kick? You got to believe that it can
- 6:51Speaker 1: happen for you. Stop looking at the success of other
- 6:54Speaker 1: people and not thinking that that same success can happen
- 6:58Speaker 1: for you. And I'm not saying that Pacific way specific way.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I'm just saying that the success can happen for you
- 7:06Speaker 1: just like it can happen for somebody else. Why do
- 7:09Speaker 1: you think it keeps happening to other people over and
- 7:11Speaker 1: over because they ask and they believe. Now here's the
- 7:16Speaker 1: cold part. Receive it? Oh, oh, what you mean? Receive it?
- 7:20Speaker 1: I asked for it, I believe in it. Why would
- 7:23Speaker 1: I not want to receive it? Act like it, Act
- 7:27Speaker 1: like it's already there. Realize that, man, it's just days away.
- 7:37Speaker 1: We don't know if it's gonna happen tomorrow, next week,
- 7:39Speaker 1: in thirty days. We don't know if it's gonna take
- 7:42Speaker 1: a few years. But you got to receive it. Though.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You gotta ask, You got to believe, and you got
- 7:50Speaker 1: to receive it. You gotta act as though as that
- 7:53Speaker 1: not as another part. Not to this about work. You
- 7:56Speaker 1: don't please. The faith without works is dead. Don't think
- 7:59Speaker 1: you're gonna just ask for something believing and then go
- 8:01Speaker 1: sit down and start watching TV. Come on, now, let's
- 8:04Speaker 1: get real. Let's not leave out the other jewel. You
- 8:07Speaker 1: got to work here here. What I want you to
- 8:11Speaker 1: know about when you strike out on that mission, that
- 8:15Speaker 1: the journey that you strike out on to accomplish a
- 8:18Speaker 1: goal or to set out on the mission the journey
- 8:23Speaker 1: is a process. It's not an arrival date. All you're
- 8:29Speaker 1: looking to do, folks, is start the process. Act like
- 8:35Speaker 1: it's there and the arrival date is coming. But here
- 8:40Speaker 1: is the beauty of the journey being a process. But
- 8:46Speaker 1: all along the way of your journey you will find
- 8:50Speaker 1: success the whole time you're on the on the journey,
- 8:56Speaker 1: the whole time you're in the process of finding your
- 8:59Speaker 1: mission and fulfilling your mission, uncovering your dreams, reaching your goals.
- 9:04Speaker 1: The beauty of it is all along the way you're
- 9:07Speaker 1: going to find success on so many levels. And people
- 9:14Speaker 1: fail to look at that part. They keep thinking of themselves, Man,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I ain't there yet, I ain't you know. It's like
- 9:21Speaker 1: when you take a little kid on a long car
- 9:23Speaker 1: tripping in the back seat. Are we there yet? Are
- 9:25Speaker 1: we there yet? Boy? If you just look out the window,
- 9:29Speaker 1: see where we then being. Look out the window, look
- 9:33Speaker 1: at the mountains, look at these trees, look at the
- 9:36Speaker 1: views we got. No, we ain't there yet, But Lord
- 9:40Speaker 1: ha mercy, look at what he's showing us along the way.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Because the journey is a process. But man, know that
- 9:48Speaker 1: in the process of arriving at your designated gold dream,
- 9:52Speaker 1: ambition or mission. Understand this that the journey is a process,
- 9:58Speaker 1: but all along the way you will find success. There
- 10:01Speaker 1: are things that are going to happen to you along
- 10:03Speaker 1: the way, man, that will be so gratifying and fulfilling.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Where the journey is joyful. You don't have to be
- 10:13Speaker 1: there to appreciate the ride. Appreciate the journey and the process.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Stop getting mad because you ain't at the arrival data.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Your dreams ain't came true yet. Look up. You might discover, man,
- 10:27Speaker 1: that you're living better. You might discover that you don't
- 10:30Speaker 1: have a million yet, but you'd have made a quarter
- 10:32Speaker 1: of a million what you're tripping for because you ain't
- 10:34Speaker 1: got the million yet. Remember when you didn't have nothing.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Be grateful for the two hundred and fifty thousand dollar mark,
- 10:41Speaker 1: the hundred thousand dollar mar the three hundred and twenty
- 10:44Speaker 1: two thousand dollar mark. Don't you understand, man, you may
- 10:48Speaker 1: not be where you want to be, But man, can't
- 10:50Speaker 1: you thank God that you ain't where you was? How
- 10:53Speaker 1: about that? One? Huh? All right? You're listening to show
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. This is not quiet
- 11:05Speaker 1: stol This is Steve Harder deserving his voice because it's

- 11:31Speaker 1: because you are going to have a tough time controlling
- 11:34Speaker 1: too foods normally being you know, just ignorant. I am
- 11:39Speaker 1: here to provide some type of stability, but I won't

- 13:06Speaker 1: minutes so I'm waiting on an assistant who posted to
- 13:10Speaker 1: been here with some damn throat coat. But his ain't here. Well,
- 13:15Speaker 1: you know what, I ain't gonna be saying his ass
- 13:17Speaker 1: sat here? Too many motis? Did you speak to the nephew,
- 13:20Speaker 1: because one time it's gonna be his ass ain't here,
- 13:24Speaker 1: No motive? You didn't speak to the nephew. I really
- 13:29Speaker 1: didn't think its more. I got you. I got you

- 13:56Speaker 1: Said that years ago. We were on the radio just
- 13:58Speaker 1: in l A. And Steve felt out, you have to
- 14:01Speaker 1: take your throat out and look at Wow. Okay, well,
- 14:10Speaker 1: how was your birthday? Oh? It was great? I'm still celebrating,
- 14:13Speaker 1: still celebrating, man, I'm not supposed to have a whole
- 14:17Speaker 1: lot of Uh. We had a little celebration at the
- 14:19Speaker 1: comedy club, the Jay Spot. It was a hundred and
- 14:22Speaker 1: eighteen comedians came no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 14:27Speaker 1: about three hundred and forty. Oh well, there must have
- 14:32Speaker 1: been at another clue about Jay's birthday. When we come
- 14:36Speaker 1: back on something funny. Had a date last night. Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Show. It is time for something funny.
- 14:48Speaker 1: So Jay, you gotta tell us about your birthday. It
- 14:51Speaker 1: was nice, Steve. You know, do they still say off
- 14:54Speaker 1: the chain? Yeah? The Carla right, Yeah, what's lit? What
- 15:04Speaker 1: is that? It was lit? It was lit. It was lit,
- 15:09Speaker 1: and it was lit. Yeah, man, it was lit. It
- 15:12Speaker 1: was about comedians. Bit but my birthday. Um, Um, Tommy
- 15:20Speaker 1: Davidson came, um, Um, Kim Whitley came, Um. Melanie Camacho
- 15:26Speaker 1: was there, Darrell Derek Ellis was there. Um. A lot
- 15:32Speaker 1: of comedic just came in and roasted me. It was
- 15:35Speaker 1: a great night. And my my ex girlfriend gave me
- 15:37Speaker 1: a cake. I didn't I didn't held up. Hold up girlfriend.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Let's let's get in there. We're not together anymore, she said.
- 15:48Speaker 1: The cake she brought the No, I see, that's what
- 15:54Speaker 1: I'm saying. That's what that's why she's Yeah, she brought
- 15:57Speaker 1: me a cake, and I just y'all enjoyed the cake,
- 15:59Speaker 1: and I eat as much cake as possible. Well, okay, well,
- 16:02Speaker 1: staying in that same vein, not the cake, vein, the
- 16:05Speaker 1: girlfriend vein. Did you have a date last night? No,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I didn't have a date. Let me to the beach. Okay,
- 16:14Speaker 1: let's stay in the same veing. Okay, don't take into
- 16:16Speaker 1: a beach. Did you did you get some good loving? Like?
- 16:19Speaker 1: Oh my god, the best absolute date? Oh man, whow
- 16:26Speaker 1: it out? How it up? Oh man? It was so great.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I mean a lot. I'm like doing no more. No,
- 16:35Speaker 1: you're gonna do it again? Who by myself? I was alone.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I saw it comback. I didn't have nobody. Man, look
- 16:58Speaker 1: at the money, I say, splendor, Daddy, I don't want
- 17:06Speaker 1: to do it. Okay, you're gonna do it. Do it
- 17:11Speaker 1: for the v It was yourself hit him and we
- 17:24Speaker 1: went to sleep. It was so good. I blooded when
- 17:32Speaker 1: you when you focus, look with you, when you focus,
- 17:36Speaker 1: look with God. We get your boy. Steve Yeah, I
- 17:49Speaker 1: had a great time. It was nice. Thanks for everybody
- 17:51Speaker 1: who came out to the J spot and help me celebrate.
- 17:54Speaker 1: It was fantastic. Had a great time. Have you and Steve,
- 17:59Speaker 1: if you and Jay ever celebrated together, probably a couple
- 18:04Speaker 1: of times. You have a couple of times to birth days?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Uh huh, And we can't nothing we can talk about
- 18:15Speaker 1: we happened on that school and this boy was there's
- 18:23Speaker 1: nothing you can tell the best stories we've done and
- 18:27Speaker 1: saved one another. The one grateful thing in all of this,
- 18:33Speaker 1: huh was no phone cameras and wants, no social media.
- 18:39Speaker 1: There's no damn internet, that's right, Yeah, yeah, pay phones. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 1: what we did, there's no trace of it. Nothing, nothing,
- 18:47Speaker 1: there's no pages, there was nothing. That's why people say, man, Steve,
- 18:52Speaker 1: you should do your life story. We can't very fory
- 18:55Speaker 1: none of this, but I was going to ask their
- 18:59Speaker 1: work out, don't. Was a hospital that had my records
- 19:03Speaker 1: in it for a city hospital, for a city hospital,
- 19:06Speaker 1: burned down, records gone, some of the some of the
- 19:15Speaker 1: stuff we've done together, just so according to like medical records,
- 19:23Speaker 1: at being four fifteen years old, my ass ain't exist.
- 19:32Speaker 1: And you know what, man, that's really crazy. There were
- 19:36Speaker 1: no computers. I have no medical records beyond that because
- 19:42Speaker 1: Ford City Hospital burned down. I got in a really
- 19:46Speaker 1: bad accident, a lot of trouble one time. There's no
- 19:50Speaker 1: record of it. Wow. So, and there's nothing you can
- 19:55Speaker 1: do about it. Some of the places we performed have
- 19:58Speaker 1: burned down. Don't exist. Yeah, girl, they're not here. They're
- 20:01Speaker 1: not here. I don't even exist. A lot of people
- 20:04Speaker 1: would love that with their credit, they could just go
- 20:06Speaker 1: back clean. We had some fun. Get your credit right,
- 20:15Speaker 1: How you cleaning credit? How you cleaning now? Seven years? Yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 1: that's what regular people do. Yeah, I'm gonna way no
- 20:25Speaker 1: seven years, get no crean credit. You try to buy
- 20:28Speaker 1: a house next year. You gotta get your credit clean now, right,
- 20:32Speaker 1: that's true, right right. I can tell you we can't
- 20:41Speaker 1: conversation real for real, true, true. I can tell you
- 20:47Speaker 1: how I got the house I'm in right now, we
- 20:51Speaker 1: go off there, because if I say this, they're coming
- 20:54Speaker 1: to get that house and my mom's and meet you.
- 21:03Speaker 1: So so Jay, Now, a lot of people celebrate their
- 21:05Speaker 1: birthdays in the entire moment. What else do you have planned?
- 21:12Speaker 1: You know, I will be with someone. I have a
- 21:15Speaker 1: requirement that I've not put more than a hundred years
- 21:18Speaker 1: into bed at one time, so you got she would
- 21:22Speaker 1: not be older. We go past a just ain't gonna work.
- 21:33Speaker 1: We can't total up to a hunter. That's that's something
- 21:38Speaker 1: and then very scary all at the same time. Coming
- 21:44Speaker 1: up next, Oh my god, me and my wife they
- 21:49Speaker 1: have to get a divorce. Coming up next, the nephew
- 21:53Speaker 1: would run that brank back. You're listening to Steve Morning Show,
- 21:59Speaker 1: all right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 22:01Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about being in a relationship can can
- 22:05Speaker 1: be making you fat. Jay, just you can't even deal
- 22:08Speaker 1: with the word relationship now, being in a relationship can
- 22:13Speaker 1: be making you fat, can make you fat? Okay, huh huh. Plus,
- 22:21Speaker 1: Miss Anne is gonna be here with our national news.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But right now it is time for the nephew to
- 22:26Speaker 1: run that prank back. Adoption agents. Yeah, do you ever
- 22:34Speaker 1: get nervous that somebody's going Never, No, I call people
- 22:38Speaker 1: that don't live and where I live, so you never
- 22:41Speaker 1: afraid that's something might happen. I'm always afraid that something
- 22:44Speaker 1: could happen. That's what he asks. Always. I mean, like
- 22:47Speaker 1: one of the people you prank. You never Yeah, there's
- 22:50Speaker 1: always an lucky It's always one, but to escape it
- 22:57Speaker 1: just hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Clarence. Uh yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 1: this is Clarence. How you doing, man? This is Robert Robert.
- 23:09Speaker 1: We were trying to you know, schedule with you guys.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Maybe we can swing through and uh pick up a
- 23:15Speaker 1: little Clarance. I guess around six, if you guys are
- 23:17Speaker 1: available around six? H okay, Hey, what do you mean
- 23:21Speaker 1: picking up little Clarance? Well, we got the we got

- 23:32Speaker 1: the call from? Who? Did you can come pick him up?

- 24:02Speaker 1: you come to pick up my sign and what is

- 42:32Speaker 1: Question like so where mamma live? Now? You don't know
- 42:38Speaker 1: what mama live with? Mama moved. You've been locked up
- 42:42Speaker 1: a long time. When they're looking at you like y'all
- 42:44Speaker 1: can't cut your chicken with a spoon. I don't know
- 42:48Speaker 1: how to do that. They've been locked up a long
- 42:54Speaker 1: time when you asked when did they turn the emails
- 42:57Speaker 1: on up? Alone? Let me tell you how. You know
- 43:06Speaker 1: you've been lots of a long time. I tell y'all,
- 43:09Speaker 1: don't want me to make mac running with just iron,
- 43:11Speaker 1: I can show you how to do it. Yeah, you
- 43:18Speaker 1: know you've been locked up a long time with as
- 43:20Speaker 1: good life. So you can get clothes and groceries in
- 43:28Speaker 1: so I can get I can get fruits and a shirt.
- 43:32Speaker 1: And you know they've been locking a long time when
- 43:37Speaker 1: you who flushed the toilet and ran all my look
- 43:41Speaker 1: that man that was good looking, that man. Come you
- 43:53Speaker 1: locked up long term? When you go out on the
- 43:55Speaker 1: date and all you want to order is roaming noodles
- 44:01Speaker 1: fancy restaurants. You know you've been locked up a long
- 44:05Speaker 1: time when you say stuff like so you're gonna lead
- 44:07Speaker 1: lights on all night, all night. These ain't gonna go on.
- 44:16Speaker 1: You know you get locked up a long time when
- 44:19Speaker 1: they get pulled over. They called, you say for the
- 44:21Speaker 1: police cars black and white. Now they was blue at first.
- 44:29Speaker 1: We're playing comedy roulette. You know you've been locked up
- 44:32Speaker 1: a long time when they started whispering meet me in
- 44:34Speaker 1: the yard, in the yard, in the yard. All right, Steve,
- 44:46Speaker 1: You know you've been locked up a long time when
- 44:48Speaker 1: you come outside on your first day back and you
- 44:52Speaker 1: got your platforms on what a baby. You know you've
- 45:07Speaker 1: been locked up a long time. I'm talking about a
- 45:10Speaker 1: long time. When you watch clothes in your room and
- 45:13Speaker 1: hang them all over the day. Yeah, gotta line there,
- 45:18Speaker 1: You gotta line alright, Steve, come on, close it up
- 45:22Speaker 1: for us. You know you've been locked up a long time.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Whenever you get in the shower, you take all your
- 45:30Speaker 1: showers with your backup. He didn't wash his bad alright,
- 45:42Speaker 1: never you tell me has a praying phone call is
- 45:44Speaker 1: coming up right after this. Good guys, good you're listening
- 45:49Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show, all right, coming up at the
- 45:52Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after today's
- 45:55Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject Wait, that's your daddy. But we
- 46:06Speaker 1: were talking about the president and women and and how
- 46:10Speaker 1: many and all that Steve about it's all relative to
- 46:13Speaker 1: the amount of money you have when you out there. Everybody,
- 46:17Speaker 1: please understand, that's far more women than this, far more
- 46:21Speaker 1: women than this. With our president Trump. He was on
- 46:25Speaker 1: Playboy magazine, play Girl, Playboy magazine. He was a player.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Everybody knew that. So now when you're out there and
- 46:36Speaker 1: you out there running them, the level of money that
- 46:39Speaker 1: you have depends on, number one, the number that you
- 46:44Speaker 1: can run with, because it takes money to run them,
- 46:48Speaker 1: and it also should affect your quality. Now, two people
- 46:51Speaker 1: have made drastic mistakes. Let me get let me tell
- 46:54Speaker 1: you why it's more than three or eight. It's gonna
- 46:57Speaker 1: be eight more with the president? How many? The Tiger
- 46:59Speaker 1: was twelve and he had low end and don't listen
- 47:04Speaker 1: to me. But that's because Tiger Woods had a low
- 47:08Speaker 1: end because he had no one showing him the game.
- 47:12Speaker 1: And he had dudes around him could have showed him.
- 47:14Speaker 1: He wasn't here, no, no, he got he got some
- 47:17Speaker 1: pro boys around him, could have showed him the game.
- 47:20Speaker 1: But he didn't listen to them. He heard about the
- 47:22Speaker 1: game and he went out there on his own. Now
- 47:24Speaker 1: he all at the Waffer house. And who if he
- 47:28Speaker 1: worked in the food he had and sex? What did
- 47:35Speaker 1: you say if you worked in the food, get you?
- 47:41Speaker 1: He had the one fly chick that was the lawyer.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Other than that he messed up. Of course the lawyer
- 47:47Speaker 1: didn't know about the other ones. Okay, Tiger signed ninety
- 47:52Speaker 1: million with Nike and has made all this money playing golf.
- 47:56Speaker 1: He had eleven How much money you think Donald Trump
- 48:00Speaker 1: to making and making? Yeah, he's a billionaire, right, Well
- 48:03Speaker 1: not really, but well that's what that's what he's been saying.
- 48:08Speaker 1: We don't know, we haven't seen anywhere. I don't really
- 48:11Speaker 1: be okay, but he has been on Forbes at one time. Yeah,
- 48:16Speaker 1: well he can't go on that now because he won't
- 48:18Speaker 1: release it. Taxes okay, but he hold him all but
- 48:22Speaker 1: his taxes, his tax forms will show that he's not
- 48:24Speaker 1: a billion okay this year because of the right offs
- 48:28Speaker 1: and losses. But he got a plenty of money. You
- 48:30Speaker 1: can't tell he's not. So how many women you think
- 48:33Speaker 1: you got? Plus? He white? Okay, let's leave it right there.
- 48:38Speaker 1: We'll pick this up and up. I'm sure. Yeah, stop
- 48:41Speaker 1: quite there, Okay, on that note, nephew, let's get to
- 48:45Speaker 1: this prank. That's just right there. Let's slide it on
- 48:50Speaker 1: over to I got papers on that man. Yeah, I
- 48:56Speaker 1: got papers on that day. Have heard it all? He
- 49:01Speaker 1: blows to me, I got paid on that man. Here
- 49:05Speaker 1: all these Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach uh this Phyllis, Yes,

- 49:52Speaker 1: I'm just my filling. You're you're your phyllis. That's right,
- 49:57Speaker 1: that's correct. Okay, because we got listed to his wife
- 50:01Speaker 1: is Janis, and we tried to call her earlier but
- 50:04Speaker 1: we didn't get I'm need wife, so I'm his wife.
- 50:07Speaker 1: I don't know Janis? Who the hell is Janis? Janis
- 50:11Speaker 1: is who he has listed for a contact? When when uh,
- 50:14Speaker 1: when it's emergency contract or something that happen. Y'all got
- 50:18Speaker 1: that mixed up. Y'all must have mixed that up somehow
- 50:21Speaker 1: that he wouldn't have put no, no damn, Janet says
- 50:23Speaker 1: his wife. I'm his wife, feel it? So I don't
- 50:26Speaker 1: know who who messed up? But that ain't right. I'm
- 50:28Speaker 1: the wife. Okay, Well it has her listened as the
- 50:32Speaker 1: wife and call her as a contract if something goes wrong. Well,
- 50:37Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you because I'm his
- 50:38Speaker 1: wife now, I don't know. I don't know who messed up.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Hold on one second. Let me let me click over
- 50:44Speaker 1: one second as a call coming to one Janis on
- 50:47Speaker 1: the dog on. Okay, that was Jannis. What she said.
- 50:55Speaker 1: She she's gonna come out to the job, so you

- 55:28Speaker 1: Buckle up, hold on tight here it is a strawberry letter.
- 55:32Speaker 1: I don't know why I like saying this subject. Wait,
- 55:35Speaker 1: that's your daddy. Dear Steven Shirley. That subject, I don't
- 55:40Speaker 1: know it intrigues me. Dear Stephen Shirley. I just started
- 55:43Speaker 1: dating this guy and he is great. I'm twenty eight
- 55:47Speaker 1: and he is thirty one. Here's where it gets tricky.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Last week, he invited me to his family's barbecue. I
- 55:54Speaker 1: was excited because this would be the first time I
- 55:57Speaker 1: would meet his family. We go to his parents house
- 56:00Speaker 1: and he introduced me to his siblings and his step mom.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Then we headed to the backyard to meet his dad,
- 56:07Speaker 1: who was busy on the grill. His daddy turned around
- 56:10Speaker 1: and I was sure. Turns out that his daddy is
- 56:14Speaker 1: my ex sugar daddy. His father and I messed around
- 56:18Speaker 1: for six months, and I broke it off because I
- 56:20Speaker 1: started to have real feelings for him. And let me
- 56:23Speaker 1: tell you why, Shirley. He was the best at it.
- 56:28Speaker 1: He was the best at what he did, the best
- 56:32Speaker 1: I've ever had. I couldn't believe that I was at
- 56:35Speaker 1: his house with his son. After a very awkward pause,
- 56:39Speaker 1: his dad shook my hand and said it was nice
- 56:42Speaker 1: to meet me. I quickly turned to go back into
- 56:45Speaker 1: the house, and my boyfriend followed me. I don't think
- 56:48Speaker 1: my boyfriend noticed how awkward we were the rest of
- 56:51Speaker 1: the night. Now, I feel like my boyfriend should know everything,
- 56:55Speaker 1: but I don't want to cause any family problems. Should
- 56:58Speaker 1: I just keep my mouth. Even though my boyfriend does
- 57:02Speaker 1: not measure up to his dad, I don't want to
- 57:04Speaker 1: lose him. Please help. Wow, I just gotta ask you,
- 57:14Speaker 1: you know what, what are your plans? Are you and
- 57:16Speaker 1: his son planning a future together? I mean, you just
- 57:19Speaker 1: said you just started dating this guy, so I can't
- 57:23Speaker 1: imagine you know, you're really in your mind knowing where
- 57:26Speaker 1: this is going to go in the future. But having
- 57:28Speaker 1: said all that, I I just don't think this is
- 57:31Speaker 1: a good look for you. I really don't, because you
- 57:33Speaker 1: know it's going to come out at some point. You
- 57:35Speaker 1: couldn't even hold it together that night, you were being awkward.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I'm sure his dad is going to be this is
- 57:41Speaker 1: going to come out. It's not gonna be a good
- 57:43Speaker 1: look for you being in this relationship with the son
- 57:47Speaker 1: of your ex lover. So you know you did the Dad,
- 57:50Speaker 1: you broke it off because it was good and the best.
- 57:52Speaker 1: You're you're always going to compare them from here on out. Now,
- 57:56Speaker 1: I don't think you're gonna be able to hold it together.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I don't think it's gonna be a good relationship. That's
- 58:01Speaker 1: always going to be looming in the back of your mind.
- 58:03Speaker 1: If it comes out, it's gonna be on his son's mind. Uh,
- 58:07Speaker 1: you know, if you guys are planning some kind of
- 58:09Speaker 1: future together. I just I think you need to break
- 58:12Speaker 1: this off and just move on to a different situation
- 58:15Speaker 1: with different people. Period, Steve, Yeah, we got a problem here. Yeah,
- 58:21Speaker 1: this is a full blown situation. This is a problem. Girl, girl, girl.
- 58:29Speaker 1: First of all, you meet this boy twenty eight years old.
- 58:33Speaker 1: He younged, he ain't at maximal capacity yet, he's yet
- 58:38Speaker 1: learned all that he's going to know. I think we
- 58:44Speaker 1: would agree. Let your church say, man, at eight, you
- 58:50Speaker 1: are underdeveloped. But when it comes to life experience, know how,
- 58:57Speaker 1: and especially when it comes to the ability to pleasure.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Thank you. We want to take this off from a
- 59:10Speaker 1: different angle. Appreciate Sister Shirley for wonderful rendition of and
- 59:17Speaker 1: her a selection of this strawberry level. But let me
- 59:22Speaker 1: drive this hill car. Of course I've driven it before.
- 59:28Speaker 1: You go and you meet the mama, the step mama,
- 59:31Speaker 1: the siblings, and all that is going good. But back
- 59:34Speaker 1: on that grill was the g M that's the grial master.
- 59:43Speaker 1: I happened to be one of these people. Yeah, I
- 59:49Speaker 1: spend much time in my backyard, and I am also
- 59:54Speaker 1: it I can relate to the Here we go. He
- 59:58Speaker 1: turns around, and I'll be down if his daddy ain't
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: your farmer sugar daddy. Now this is when the relationship
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: has too much incoming, because right now, what makes this
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: relationship wrong is y'all got the same day. That's church
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: same man. Amen, Amen, y'all got the same daddy. Oh
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: he his daddy, but he your sugar daddy. I'm now yeah,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: So now you meet. He shakes your hand, but oh lord,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: him missing the greatest player move I've ever seen. He
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: turns to you and he says, nice to meet you. Yeah.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Now this isn't the player move because he can't heard
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: his son and he can't let the step mama know
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: that he didn't had you, so he wanted to let
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: bygones be bygones. Nice to meet you. You broke it
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: off because you were starting to develop feelers. And why
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: were you developed easy? Because this man in hill Lord
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: help Mercy was breaking the walls of Gibraltar have come down.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Your bacon was getting fried extra Christ. Your cookie was
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: dumped all the way down in the middle and left
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: in there soaking. Your oven been up on five hood.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Your ass has been brought. This man has been up
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: on five hundred. This man was brawling your way ever had.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: This is the best year. When they come back, I'm
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: gonna tell you how good it was and what's going
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: to happen after all right, we'll have part two of
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Oh he he's both of y'all's daddy. You need to
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: know that, Yes, his daddy, your sugar daddy, and the
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: sugar stealing your tape. All right, we'll have more Part
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up, and we come back
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hour. You do not want
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: to miss it. What that's your daddy? That's the subject
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: you're listening Dave show. All right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: go with part two of today's strawberry. What wait, that's
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: your daddy? She didn't win in the backyard with a
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: new boyfriend. Introduced to his father. He turned around and
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: I'll be damned, it's her sugar daddy. Naw, it's an
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: awkward Paul, she says in the letter. Then she broke
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: it off because of real friend. She said. It turns
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: out to his daddy is my ex sugar daddy. His
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: father and I messed around for six months, and I
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: broke it off because I started to hear a real
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: feeling film. But he shook your hand and he said,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: nice to meet me. I quickly turned to go back
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: into my house. And your boyfriend. Now here's where she
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: talks to talk to Shirley, Like Shirley, nobody see, I'm
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: being turned on your little girl. And let I started
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to hear we were feeling him. And let me tell
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: you why. Surely he was the best at what he did.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: See I know this right here. First of all, was

- 1:05:10Speaker 1: his daddy had that as you say in the letter.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Now I feel like my boyfriends, you know everything, but
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: I don't want to cause any problems. I keep up
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: even though my boyfriend does not measure up to his dad.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: He can't whoa, he can't measure up to sugar. He
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: cannot measure up to sugar. He ain't been here long

- 1:06:22Speaker 1: When the door open, everybody gotta step back for feet
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: because it's just damn honey, yea big daddy, the grill master,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: bet in that putting that shugar in your tank. You
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: got to break up with this ball, come on, because

- 1:06:39Speaker 1: then look over here at junior min jorn. You got

- 1:14:55Speaker 1: You took a picture, you dropped it off at the
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: little booth, and you waited a month booth drug stoke. Yeah, green,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: you waited a month before you saw your picture. One
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the whole month. And then I walked down there and

- 1:16:11Speaker 1: the phone will go off at nine o'clock. What, Yeah,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: they cut they had like a switchboard, it be off. Yeah,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: the phone just be all him. Yeah, you couldn't call

- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Thanks guys, get ready to talk about b ET s
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Man Cake with a very special guest Jeff Johnson. You
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: know him, Steve, y'all do too, you're listening to show. Hey, y'all,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: we got a special guests, uh, one of the hosts
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: of a new show on b ET. Uh. It's a
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: progressive talk show and it's called man Cave uh. And
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: what it does, y'all features a diverse group of black
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: men just sharing their unfiltered views on life. Listen to me, boy,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: they threw me into some I actually thought I was
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: just sitting around my dudes. Uh. They talk about love, politics, sex,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: a whole lot more. I was on a week ago
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: and I said, with the fellas, um and and and
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and and it was one of it was really one
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: of my faith not one of It was the best
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: time I've ever had on the television show in my
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: career as a guest, as a guest, best time I've
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: ever had on the TV show of any show I've
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: ever done. I've done all of them. It was great.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: And we're gonna find out more about Man Cave right
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: now because we have the host of the show and
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: the guy who this was his brain child. He actually
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: thought of this show. Ladies and gentlemen, the one and
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: only Mr Jeff Johnson. We're good man. Listen to me. Uh,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: let me just start with my visit. First of all,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Man Cave is just a group of men sitting around
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: and discussing everything and anything. The difference is they take
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: the filter off and it comes from a very diverse
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: group of men. You've got older, more mature, married family man,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: and Jeff, you got Tank who's about to be married.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Fool life. There on the other side of the cross,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you got Calvary, and you got that backside of the hill.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Nobody's see the tank was over there. Then you got Slink,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: who is just seriously, man, something wrong with him for
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: you to need medical attention. And then the young dude,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: what's the co sign? Just young millennial full of energy,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: ideas and his own thoughts, and boy, that's a collection.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: And then I joined that crew last time, man, and boy,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: I had a great time on that show. Man, Thank
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: you John. What's funny? Steven? You've been involved in this
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: from the beginning. But I don't think he was ready.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Oh I wasn't. Okay, No, I mean because because y'all know,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: people say unfiltered all the time, but it don't always
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: mean unfiltered, true true. Steve came on and I think
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: was confused, like I forgot to even let people talk
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: like this on TV. I didn't understand you have that look, Steve,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: And I didn't understand. I said, anybody hear what he
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: just said? You got the filter? Seriously, I'm sitting going hey.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: I was like for a couple of times, I looked
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I was just waiting on somebody go cut me and
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: I can't wait no cut and they still feeling link. Man.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: We were talking about something about in a relationship with
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: the time we know, I think you died when Cosin
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: said we're just gonna go to the strip club as
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: a family. Yeah, said that we can all go to
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the striphop as a family. You got my tea, you know, man,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: unless she's just gonna be a lesbian. Because we were
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: talking about how do you get rid of your how
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: do you get rid of cat and your and your
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: crew who can't roll with you? And Steve talked about, look,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I'm married, this is where I am. I can't be
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: going to the strip club. And I said, well, I
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: go to the strip club with my wife, and Steve
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: was confused, and and then Cole said, well, look we
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: should all go to the strip club together as a family. Yeah.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: I'm with all this stuff. I'm with all this as
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: a family sitting up at the strip. Yes, but you
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: know what the beauty is. The beauty is. And we
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: talked about this early on. Somebody asked, was it's gonna
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: be a barbershop show? And I was like no, because
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: at the barbershop you talk about everybody except you, like
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: don't nobody roll up into the barbershop like y'all, I'm
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: really dealing with something. Can y'all help me through it?
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Like that? Ain't never having at the bomb shop and
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: so on man Cave. We talked about ourselves. We talked
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: about what we've been through, how we've been through it,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: how it impacted us. And it's funny sometimes sometimes it
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: gets a little bit more serious. Um, But what it
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: does is it allows every guest to come in and
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: know they can be their whole self. And that's what
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I love the most, Steve about you coming through. You've
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: been doing this network, getting this network money for so long.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I don't remember the last time you came on the
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: show where you could be your whole self. And that
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: that's what you proved the theory behind man Cave, that
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: you can come on and be your whole self. Yeah,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: because Man, I didn't have to worry. I had laid
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: the concern for my brand down because I was just
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: with brothers. Man. I was with Jeff Me and Jeff
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: Frizz We go back. I've been doing take a long time,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: So I was sitting there with cats that I know
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: that I trust and on just you know, do nothing.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Put you out there now sleek and co s. What's
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: just like finding new money on the side wall and
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: you know, and and and it was just an interesting thing. Man.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: I just think the show is great. And uh, what's
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: some of the topic y'all gonna cover you? So we
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: we were talking a little bit about fatherhood, how our
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: fathers inspired us. We're going to relationships a little bit
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: um and and as always, we were talking about what's
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: happening um in the news on social media. But before
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: we get out of Steve, I think the thing that
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: this has been so great is that men can see
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: themselves and all these brothers. But women have been loving
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: this show. They're saying, look, I understand my man better.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: I didn't know y'all really talked like this. I appreciate
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: being a fly on the wall. So it's been incredible
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: to bring a show not just for brothers, but for
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: the for the ladies as well. Hey, that's that's the
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: whole purpose of Man Cave. Man want y'all to tune
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: in tonight, everybody ten thirty Eastern and Pacific on b
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: E t tell all the brothers on Man Cave, we'd
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: send them love. Man. We appreciate you, Jeff. Keep doing
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: a great job. Man. You working on a hit brother
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: thing right now taking your car. It's a type of dude.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I learned something today. A family that goes to the
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: script club together together. That's that's right. All right. We'll
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. So, Jay,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: you gotta tell us about your birthday. It was nice, Steve.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: You know, do they still stay off the chain? You

- 1:24:45Speaker 1: was lit. It was lit. Your birthday was it was lit?
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: And it was lit. Yeah, man, it was lit. It
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: was about comedians that keep changing the little bit on
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: my birthday. Um, Um, Tommy Avison came, Kim Whitley came. Um,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: Melanie Camacho was there, Darrell Derek Ellis was there. Um,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: just a lot of comusic just came in and roasted me.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: It was a great night. And my my ex girlfriend
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: gave me a cake. Hold up, girlfriend, let's let's get
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: in there. We're not together anymore, she said. The cake
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: she brought the See that's what I'm saying, That's what
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: that's why she's Yeah, she brought me a cake, and
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I just y'all enjoy the cake and let everybody eat
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: as much cake as possible. Well okay, well staying in
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: that same vein, not the cake, vein, the girlfriend vain.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: Did you have a date last night? No, I didn't
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: have a date to the beach. Did you Did you
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: get some good loving? Like? Oh my god, the best absolute?
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: Oh man, whow it out? Throw it up? Oh man,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: it was so great. I mean a lot. I'm like
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: doing no more. No, you're gonna do it again? Who
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: I was by myself? I saw it comback. I didn't
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: have nobody. Man, look at the money, I say, daddy,
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: I don't want to do it. Okay, I'm gonna do it.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Do it for the vane. It was about yourself. Hit
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: him and we went to sleep. It was so good, bloody.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: When you when you focus, look you, when you focus,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: look with God. Get your boys, Steve. Yeah, I had
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: a great time. It was nice. Thanks for everybody who
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: came out to the j spot and help me celebrate.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: It was fantastic. Had a great time. Here have you
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: You and Stephen, you and Jay ever celebrated together on
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: the birthday, have you guys, probably a couple of times,
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: a couple of times birthdays and we can't nothing we
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: can talk about this. There's nothing you can tell the
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: best stories. We've done some things and saved one another. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: what we did. There's no trace of it, nothing, nothing,
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: there's no pages, there was nothing. That's why people say, man, Steve,
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: you should do your life story. We came very find
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: none of this. What I was gonna ask hospital that
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: had my records in it for a city hospital, for
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: city hospital, burned down records. Go, yeah, I can tell you.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: We can conversation. All right, we will have more of
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show and you study out
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: of the University of Queensland Guys, Queensland, Australia determined that
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: being in a relationship makes people fatter. Okay. The study
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: found that those were the long term partner weighed on
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: average twelve point seven pounds more than single people and
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: showed an average weight gain of three point nine pounds
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: per year. And it could be that eating with someone
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: leads people to eat larger portions and more calories, or
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: it could be that since they don't have you know,
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: they don't have to impress anyone. Uh, couples just kind
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: of let themselves go at it. It's when you out
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: there running them, it's actually reduces calories trying to catch
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: you running them. That's exercise, that's work. You gotta get
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: over here, get back in here, answering that phone right quick,
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: dab over and knock it off the table. You gotta
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: run down here, dry your car, hide it in the
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: bushes around the corner, walk back over to the house,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: running a dove over a table to answer that phone.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: So you can't be thicker. You can't be you're constantly
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: looking at the windows and it might show up. You
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: don't know, you may plan. You nervous and hard to have.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: You can't have company over. You don't know if we're
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: gonna come over. Yeah, he stress, and you lie. You
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: can't eat on the time because you gotta keep your
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: mouth for that. And I got nine to tell. I
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: can't be sitting up in here eating and you gotta
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: remember them. You can't. You can't eat. You gotta go
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: over there and eat with that person. Run over that man.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: You can't lie and eat at the same time. It's
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: too much. That's why single people are tremble. It's just
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: it's possible. Though. You can't lie and eat. I haven't
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: done it time, it's doable. All this stuff that you're
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: running from, I run to it. This is don't don't.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Don't accept this that you can't do. Take the challenge. Man,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: you know what you're doing and take your take your
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: phone at night, put it in your drawers, and you
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: do you go back to the house and get your phone.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Oh yeah, right over eight cars trying to get there.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: So wait, what are you saying? So you're on your
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: way to work. Yeah, you half way to work, you
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: discover you left your phone. Phone, I'm gonna be late.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: You gotta get that phone. I might get fine, and
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: whoever you work for will understand. White. Hold on, let's ask.
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: Let's ask the boss. Is this true? Boss? Oh, we
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: don't make we don't understand, we don't understand what we
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: know what's going on. But you have left your phone.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: Just saying again, what, Steve, you have left your phone everything?
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: Oh you should have here, act like you go back
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: home to get to get it. Hell broke, we were
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: don't worry. Steve was just a calm everybody worried about.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, we ever heard from Tom y'all stop
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: all this Steve. Something could have happened to him. I'm
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: gonna call his girlfriend. Don't do that. Yeah, never called
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: anybody's girl. That's where has just got here. Monica was
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: crying Jay y'all calling Jake. What I tell y'all, you
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: weren't worried at all? No, coming up our last break
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: of the day with Steve Harvey and his closing remarks,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, don't
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: forget to check your local listing for Steve Harvey's daytime
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: talk show, and then tonight watch Steve. He's gonna be
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: in showtime at the Apollo. And then don't forget bats
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: Man Cave that's climbing every week Thursday night is like,
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: excuse me more more viewers sto Hey Cose remarks. I
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: want to talk to you today about a very very
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: important principle of success. Um. And look, I'm not talking
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: to you like I'm an expert. I'm just talking to
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: you with what I have learned in my sixty one
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: years here, and I've learned it the hard way. One
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: of these. None of these lessons were given to me.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: I bought most of these lessons that I tell people about.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: But here's one of the great principles of success. There's
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: a great fraternity out there I won't mention the name
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: of it who has cardinal principles of man who had scholarship, perseverance,
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: and open lift. But one of those principles. All of
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: them are critical, but one that's really really dire is perseverance.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: You have got to practice perseverance. You will not be
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: successful without it. You cannot be successful without it. You
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: can quit wonting it without it. Perseverance the ability to
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: see it through, to continue to pursue when all hope
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: is gone, the willingness to overcome all obstacles while still
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: in the pursuit of something. That's how I look at perseverance.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: That when they tell me no and it can't be done,
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: I'll hunker down. I get it done. I prove them wrong.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: I persevere. Perseverance is important, y'all. And the reason I'm
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: talking to you is because so many millennials out there,
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: so many young people boom have been jaded, been given
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: some bad information. Because you live in this Google society
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: and pressing a button and pops up Instagram. It pops
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: up what you want in life. You cannot attain overnight.
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: If you do and you skip any steps to get it,
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: you have to retrace those steps. You have to step
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: on every step to success. You can't skip them. If
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: you get to success without those steps, life will put
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: you back on every last one of those steps. I
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: promise you that that's how it works. So there are
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: no overnight sensations. If it is, those overnight sensations will
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: not stay there unless they go back and step on
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: every last one of those steps. There's no elevator to
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: the top. You have to take this step if somebody,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: if you catch a ride to the top with somebody else,
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: when they look around and discover that you over that
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: acting and behaving like you don't belong uphill, life will
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: send you back downstairs so you can take the steps
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: so when you get there again, you will appreciate and
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: to know how to behave Instagram and got your food
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: got you thinking that you could just pop on Instagram
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: and insta is the keyword, because now y'all instantly thank
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: you own and cracking because you got forty folk likes today,
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: forty folk likes can't make you successful, I promise you
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: a can't. Two million likes can't make you successful. It
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: can make you like for that moment on Instagram, But
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: tomorrow you gotta post something else because they're gonna forget
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: about you. You have to pursue. You have to get
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: to old age. Why do you hear everybody talking about
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: working for retirement. You know why people work for retirement
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: because they understand something about retirement. The average person has
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: to understand that you have to persevere through a lot
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: of years of hard work to get to finally say
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: I can relax now, because you gotta put in a
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: lot of time in order to get that time back.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: Did you hear what I just said. You have to
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: put in a lot of time to get a lot
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: of time back. No one can just say all right
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: without putting in the work. I'm retiring tomorrow. Retiring with
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: what It's not instant. It requires our perseverance. That's why
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: when you get on an airplane and you walk back
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: to your seat and coach, just take a look. The
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: next time you get on an airplane. People up there
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: in first class got gray hair because it took them
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: all their life to work to get to a point
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: where they can be first class. Now. They might have
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: been up there since they was forty fifty, But just
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: look at them real close. They look a little bit
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: more worn than everybody in the back. But they sit
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: up kind of straight up there too. It takes time
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: to get to the front. Your first airplane ticket can't
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: be a first class ticket now, and let somebody buy
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: you one or something like that. Once you get exposed
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: first class, it's a good thing because I opened up
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: your mind to first class treatment, and then anything less
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: than first class treatment will become unacceptable to you mentally.
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: But you take a long time to get in first class, y'all.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: You've got to persevere. You've got to start pressing, y'all.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: You got to never ever give up. You've got to
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: keep hope alive. You're old. People say it's always dark
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: as before the dawn. You know what they're doing. That means.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: That means it always looks like it's real bleak and dark.
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: But in just a little while it's gonna be light.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: But if you give up, you won't see the light.
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: A plaque that sits on my desk in Atlanta reminds
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: me of one thing that a friend of mine sent me.
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: Plaque says, if you're going through hell, just keep going.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: Why would you stop there? You got to persevere to
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: get to the end. Those are my clothes. Remarks Great week,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: Ye keep celebrating Jay the Day Stars, Playmates, reality Stars
