- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like a
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and the subs not good. Steve together, Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta use that turn, hur
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. You got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out to turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby now. Uh huh, I show
- 2:02Speaker 1: well a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man, If if I had time
- 2:14Speaker 1: enough to tell the whole trip, the whole journey, and
- 2:18Speaker 1: y'all would be sitting up in there going okay to Steve,
- 2:21Speaker 1: are we gonna play the show this week? But man,
- 2:25Speaker 1: it's been a lot of amazing things has happened to
- 2:28Speaker 1: me over the years, and not all of them good.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It's been some amazingly bad things that have happened too.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But I just come on in the morning as a
- 2:41Speaker 1: reminder to everybody of the actual goodness of God, that
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, man, that these mistakes that you're making, that
- 2:50Speaker 1: these setbacks that you keep having, that these falls that
- 2:55Speaker 1: keep occurring in your life, that they all are leading
- 2:59Speaker 1: you somewhere. If you just don't ever give up. That's
- 3:03Speaker 1: the key. You can never ever give up because you
- 3:07Speaker 1: don't know how the trip has been laid out for you.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You know, if somebody had told me years ago when
- 3:16Speaker 1: I had the dream of being on TV and then
- 3:18Speaker 1: I thought about being one of one of the best
- 3:22Speaker 1: comedians I could be. You know, when I when I started,
- 3:25Speaker 1: if somebody had told me everything that was gonna have
- 3:30Speaker 1: to happen in order for me to get there, I
- 3:33Speaker 1: would have changed it. I would have I would have said, Okay,
- 3:37Speaker 1: well I ain't gonna be that. How about this? See
- 3:41Speaker 1: and no one can know all of the events of
- 3:44Speaker 1: their life ahead of time. You know, it would be
- 3:46Speaker 1: so nice, wouldn't it. You know, to prepare for it,
- 3:49Speaker 1: see it coming, be aware of the haters, always knowing
- 3:55Speaker 1: when the backstabbing moment is coming in your life, always
- 3:59Speaker 1: knowing when you're gonna get blindsided by the enemy. We
- 4:02Speaker 1: are really great to know that, wouldn't it. Well, that's
- 4:05Speaker 1: not how it works. So since no one knows exactly
- 4:12Speaker 1: the challenges and the pitfalls and the detools that's going
- 4:15Speaker 1: to be set them, it's it's it's imperative that you
- 4:20Speaker 1: just don't give up because see, knowing these things, we
- 4:26Speaker 1: as human beings by nature, would choose another route. But
- 4:31Speaker 1: it ain't the route God God for you, though. See
- 4:34Speaker 1: the route God God for you. If you if you're
- 4:36Speaker 1: trying to do the right thing, if you're doing the
- 4:39Speaker 1: best you can, if you ain't out here just intentionally
- 4:43Speaker 1: just messing over, folks, if you're using faith and that's
- 4:47Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. If you
- 4:50Speaker 1: have something on the inside of you to keep saying
- 4:53Speaker 1: there's got to be more to life than that, then
- 4:55Speaker 1: that's that's you. You, my friend, have a great chance. Hell,
- 5:01Speaker 1: and if you've ever had that feeling then gave up
- 5:03Speaker 1: on it, just get it back, Just ask for it back,
- 5:07Speaker 1: Just say, hey, man, I'm getting back to the way
- 5:09Speaker 1: I used to be because there's a change that's available
- 5:13Speaker 1: in your life. But you gotta take it. You gotta
- 5:16Speaker 1: take a shot at it. Folks. There's a chance for
- 5:19Speaker 1: you to get it right, but you gotta take a
- 5:21Speaker 1: shot at it. Folks. There's a chance for you to
- 5:24Speaker 1: turn this whole thing around with God's help, but you
- 5:27Speaker 1: gotta take a shot at it. You See, this decision
- 5:31Speaker 1: is yours. The decision to lay down and give up.
- 5:34Speaker 1: That's yours, it ain't. It just got too hard for me.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Life too much, man, life hard and too much for everybody.
- 5:41Speaker 1: What I gotta get you to see? My father used
- 5:44Speaker 1: to always tell me, it says son, best lessons in
- 5:47Speaker 1: life to burn your value and learn the most is
- 5:49Speaker 1: a bout lesson. I didn't quite understand that being young,
- 5:54Speaker 1: but I show got it now. Ain't no lesson like
- 5:57Speaker 1: a bout lesson, the one you pay for. Those are
- 6:00Speaker 1: the ones that hold to you, that stick to you,
- 6:03Speaker 1: that that start turning you into who you're gonna be.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Those are the character builders. See, you got to be
- 6:10Speaker 1: forged to get to where you want to go in life.
- 6:13Speaker 1: So that's what the challenges and missteps is for. That's
- 6:16Speaker 1: what the failing is about. Now. I know you don't
- 6:19Speaker 1: like it. I didn't. I know you're not comfortable without
- 6:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't. I know you wish it was over sooner
- 6:25Speaker 1: than later. I always do. I always wanted to be
- 6:29Speaker 1: over sooner than later because the later manager seems like
- 6:32Speaker 1: it's so much I gotta go through. But let me
- 6:36Speaker 1: tell you something, man, if you can, if you can
- 6:39Speaker 1: forge your way through it and understand that you are
- 6:42Speaker 1: forged in life. I don't know. I was on TBN
- 6:47Speaker 1: one time when I was doing one of my motivational speeches,
- 6:51Speaker 1: and I began to wonder about this experience I had.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It Ford Motor Company and my last job after the
- 6:58Speaker 1: auto industry starts going down, my last job was in
- 7:02Speaker 1: the fountry and my job was to stand at the
- 7:06Speaker 1: end almost where the engines first come out of the furnace. See,
- 7:12Speaker 1: the engines are poured into a mold. It's hot, melted
- 7:16Speaker 1: down metal whatever they call it, lava or whatever. They
- 7:19Speaker 1: poured into a mole and it goes into this furnace
- 7:23Speaker 1: that's extremely hot. And my job was after the heat
- 7:28Speaker 1: was applied to the engine block, it would come through
- 7:32Speaker 1: and it would go through a hardening stage. But the
- 7:35Speaker 1: way it was hardening, they would cool it. Suddenly they
- 7:38Speaker 1: would flush it with water. It was just blast water
- 7:41Speaker 1: on it. But the fire and the high temperature is
- 7:45Speaker 1: what made the engine block solidified. It's because it's gotta
- 7:50Speaker 1: get real hot, getting melted down first. Then it's got
- 7:53Speaker 1: to get poured into a mole. Then it's gotta be
- 7:57Speaker 1: pressure hit with water and all of this, and then
- 8:00Speaker 1: it could and it's real hot. Now it's still hot
- 8:03Speaker 1: even on this water been shutter. But when it comes
- 8:05Speaker 1: out the end of the side, there's a lot of
- 8:07Speaker 1: flashing in it. And flashing is a metal from that
- 8:10Speaker 1: didn't dripped through the cast molding on it, just like
- 8:14Speaker 1: flecks of extra pieces of metal. My job was to
- 8:18Speaker 1: hit this engine block in the front, which is huge,
- 8:22Speaker 1: heavy rubber mallet, knock all the flashing off the front,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and when it came around back to bam, hit it
- 8:30Speaker 1: real hard again on the backside. And that became the
- 8:36Speaker 1: core of what the car is. A car without a
- 8:39Speaker 1: great engine is nothing. It's just a pretty looking vehicle
- 8:42Speaker 1: over there. But if it can't do what it was
- 8:45Speaker 1: made to do because the engine block then cracked. So
- 8:48Speaker 1: you can have a car look real good, but if
- 8:49Speaker 1: it freezes an engine block crack your car, you can
- 8:53Speaker 1: it's over man. You gotta get a new block. The
- 8:55Speaker 1: block is the core. But in order for you for
- 8:58Speaker 1: the car to do it, it's got to do it's
- 9:00Speaker 1: got to have a strong engine in it. In order
- 9:02Speaker 1: for the engine to be strong, it's got to be
- 9:04Speaker 1: forged and steell, come through fire, get poured in a mole,
- 9:08Speaker 1: cooled off, heated, knocked around, beat on the front end,
- 9:12Speaker 1: beat on the back end. In order for it to
- 9:14Speaker 1: be what it's gonna be. The maul of the story, folks,
- 9:18Speaker 1: is you got to get forged in fire to be
- 9:21Speaker 1: what you gonna be. You got to get beat up,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you got to get pressure washed, you got to have
- 9:27Speaker 1: heat on you. You gotta get melted down, you gotta
- 9:29Speaker 1: get poured into a mole. That's how you become who
- 9:33Speaker 1: you are. So the tough things that you're going through,
- 9:36Speaker 1: the difficult challenges and the setbacks. I know a brother
- 9:39Speaker 1: who went to prison, man, And the whole reason he
- 9:42Speaker 1: ended up going to prison because he was looking out
- 9:44Speaker 1: the loot window, looking out in the yard at him
- 9:47Speaker 1: working out. And then the next thing, you know, man,
- 9:49Speaker 1: this brother decided that he was gonna go out there
- 9:51Speaker 1: and work out. Well, guess what, he's one of the
- 9:55Speaker 1: top trainers in country. Today. You're listening morning, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: let me have your attention please. This is the funniest
- 10:07Speaker 1: morning show in the world when the right people are
- 10:10Speaker 1: telling the jokes. Steve Harvey, Morley Show, Sherley Strawberry and
- 10:15Speaker 1: who might that be Steve, Well, good morning, Colin Farrell, Hey,
- 10:23Speaker 1: what's up? Jump Tellers? Hello? That that dog Gold Junior Morning?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Everybody morning? Uh nephew, Tommy, that damn uncle Steve top
- 10:34Speaker 1: of the morning, baby day oh day. Well, let me
- 10:39Speaker 1: start by saying this good thing that the Browns lost
- 10:44Speaker 1: yesterday because they had won, this was gonna be a
- 10:47Speaker 1: ugly morning for Houston. Yeah, oh lord, But I will
- 10:52Speaker 1: say though, it was a rough, fast weekend for Houston. No,
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'm really not. I'm really not. After Saturday night, Houston fans, Okay,
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna read my text. You can't say go ahead, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 11:12Speaker 1: I could say, no, I'm gonna find a hold on.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It wasn't a bad text. I thought I was being
- 11:18Speaker 1: very gracious and complimentary. Yeah, man, at all, not at all. Well,
- 11:23Speaker 1: hold on, here was the text. I said. Well, this
- 11:28Speaker 1: was about ten thirty h Saturday night, right, I said, Well,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I ain't gonna say nothing to you too, because y'all
- 11:38Speaker 1: didn't probably already cut the game off. That was all
- 11:45Speaker 1: I said. That was all I had said. All I
- 11:48Speaker 1: have said the caller type of meme of Westbrook and
- 11:54Speaker 1: hard and clapping and smiling. Then Tommy just switched the
- 11:58Speaker 1: whole damn subject. He just wouldn't to talk about damn
- 12:02Speaker 1: birthday party and stuff. I said, oh okay. So then
- 12:05Speaker 1: I left alone because I figured it was yet too much.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And then I think the Texas had just lost Thursday,
- 12:13Speaker 1: the Astros lost, and then the damn Rockets lost. I said, man,
- 12:17Speaker 1: let me stop now. I did not expect the Browns
- 12:23Speaker 1: to beat Baltimore yesterday. That's a little bit too hopeful.
- 12:28Speaker 1: And it was one of my long time like friends
- 12:30Speaker 1: recalled O Prue's birthday on Sunday the thirteenth, and he
- 12:35Speaker 1: was hoping that the Browns would beat Baltimore for his
- 12:39Speaker 1: birthday gift. And I said, look, man, just be grateful
- 12:42Speaker 1: to the Lord that you've lived sixty four years. Don't
- 12:45Speaker 1: worry about that as a birthday gift. A week gon happen. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: just gonna go to the hard rock with you for
- 12:52Speaker 1: hard rock with your family, enjoy yourself. Hey, car it
- 12:55Speaker 1: tell me I see you called me out. Yeah, when
- 12:57Speaker 1: the game was over, I saw my fall out. So
- 13:00Speaker 1: that you Harvey on my phone. I said, I'm not
- 13:01Speaker 1: taking phone last nobody. I can take that tray talk
- 13:09Speaker 1: about to I wouldn't talk you know, always answer his
- 13:13Speaker 1: damn phone call because he here's a little last stay
- 13:15Speaker 1: in trouble, So I always answer his phone. Yeah, but
- 13:18Speaker 1: why are you talking so much? Smack? And your team
- 13:21Speaker 1: ain't doing a damn thing. No team, Hold on, hold on.
- 13:26Speaker 1: My team ain't never done the damn things, all right. See,
- 13:30Speaker 1: I don't go into these days feel with hope. Thirty
- 13:35Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, more of the Steve Harvey
- 13:39Speaker 1: Morning Show and uh, ask the CLO coming up to
- 13:42Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show, Well, it's time
- 13:48Speaker 1: now for Steve to help some of our listeners with
- 13:51Speaker 1: their love problems with our ask the CLO situation. Uh
- 13:56Speaker 1: that segment. CLO stands for Chief Love Officer, or as Chloe,
- 14:01Speaker 1: as Tommy calls it. So you can submit your You
- 14:04Speaker 1: could submit your questions at Steve HARVEYFM dot com. Are
- 14:08Speaker 1: you ready, sir? Absolutely? All right, let's go. This one
- 14:12Speaker 1: for the CLO comes from Fredo and Queen's. Fredo says,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm in a roommate situation with my girlfriend. We're both
- 14:20Speaker 1: on our mid sixties and we've been together ten years.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I'm still very sexually active, but my girlfriend and I
- 14:28Speaker 1: haven't had sex in three years. I've had conversations with
- 14:32Speaker 1: her about fulfilling my needs. I've told her what she
- 14:36Speaker 1: won't do, the next woman will. That didn't motivate her
- 14:39Speaker 1: to change, so I sleep on the couch. Now. We
- 14:42Speaker 1: live in a senior living center in our own apartment,
- 14:46Speaker 1: and I've been getting to know one of the other residents.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Is that a little too close to home? Well, you
- 14:52Speaker 1: know what, she ain't. She ain't got to go far
- 14:54Speaker 1: to find your friends. Now, you know, you just across
- 14:58Speaker 1: the hall and down downstairs. She can come down there.
- 15:02Speaker 1: You know, I'm asked with a steal a curR in
- 15:04Speaker 1: the sixties. I've seen a company them now. They're slow
- 15:08Speaker 1: and they're not fun to watch because everybody gets hurt
- 15:11Speaker 1: when sixty year old people fight. Oh Man, hound strains,
- 15:16Speaker 1: calf pools, child at horses, you know, and and hip
- 15:21Speaker 1: injury once y'all fall. You've really messed yourself up. So Fredo,
- 15:26Speaker 1: I don't know what you told your girl, and I
- 15:28Speaker 1: don't know why you all together in a senior Why
- 15:31Speaker 1: don't you get your own place at the facility. He's, yeah, yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 1: that could be it, so then he could do his
- 15:39Speaker 1: own thing. Yeah, afraid now, Frado. Let me warn you
- 15:42Speaker 1: if you're very familiar with the name Fredo, there's not
- 15:45Speaker 1: a happy ending for you. All Right, We're gonna move
- 15:54Speaker 1: on to Selena in New York. She says. I'm a
- 15:57Speaker 1: twenty seven year old single female, and my mom and
- 16:00Speaker 1: I keep getting the same keep meeting the same men.
- 16:04Speaker 1: My mom had me when she was seventeen, and people
- 16:06Speaker 1: mistake us for sisters. She's in great physical shape and
- 16:10Speaker 1: she loves wearing my clothes. Two years ago, we were
- 16:13Speaker 1: both doing online dating and we dated the same guy.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I found out when he asked me if I had
- 16:20Speaker 1: a twin sister. Now it's happened again. I met a
- 16:25Speaker 1: thirty two year old man and he said he had
- 16:27Speaker 1: dated a woman that looks just like me, but they
- 16:30Speaker 1: broke up after she lied about her age. I couldn't
- 16:33Speaker 1: believe it. Should I move to a new city so
- 16:36Speaker 1: I can date in peace? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, Because
- 16:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something. Your mama out there pretty wide. Yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 1: your mama out there, well, your mama out there like
- 16:48Speaker 1: peanut butter. Now, I ain't even nobody being that she
- 16:52Speaker 1: can do it she want to do because she grown.
- 16:55Speaker 1: But obviously you all have the same taste and because
- 16:59Speaker 1: you all have the same probably makeup and like all
- 17:03Speaker 1: the dude say, y'all look alike. She didn't kept herself together.
- 17:06Speaker 1: She wear your clothes. Now, all I can tell you
- 17:08Speaker 1: do is put the lock on your closet. Try to
- 17:13Speaker 1: all right, mama. And I don't know, I don't know
- 17:16Speaker 1: what else to tell you. I my mama couldn't date nobody,
- 17:21Speaker 1: my sister dated. Why my mom my MoMA ain't never
- 17:26Speaker 1: look like my sisters. It was no confusion. He ain't
- 17:37Speaker 1: nobody not thought that was my mama. Nobody. But you now,
- 17:43Speaker 1: you know, sixties a new thirty. They say, you know, no,
- 17:46Speaker 1: it's not different. It's just different. Now, No, it's not
- 17:50Speaker 1: keeps making these rules up. Yeah, well I'm sixty three.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Listen to me. It's not the new thirty. That's all
- 17:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to do is not look like I'm sixty three.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Don't move like it, don't dress like it. Keep my
- 18:05Speaker 1: swag alive, you know, still, you know, you know, you know,
- 18:09Speaker 1: keep my energy up and everything. You know, I move,
- 18:12Speaker 1: I stretch a lot. You know, I got stretchers. You know,
- 18:14Speaker 1: I move, I do move, I do functional training. You know,
- 18:18Speaker 1: you ain't man. Yeah, you're young. You're young looking sixty three,
- 18:23Speaker 1: especially young. My husband says that all the time. He's like,
- 18:27Speaker 1: looks great, but what you look like? Excuse me, man?
- 18:37Speaker 1: If they lost his entire mind. Yeah, I mean, first
- 18:42Speaker 1: of all, you you never asked the woman her age,
- 18:44Speaker 1: and then you said we were talking about sixties and
- 18:47Speaker 1: looking sick. What are you saying? Excuse you? Come on,
- 18:52Speaker 1: how was I supposed to take that? You know, no,
- 18:55Speaker 1: explain yourself. Explain yourself. You man say it. You're man
- 19:01Speaker 1: enough to say it. Man, man, man, be man enough
- 19:04Speaker 1: to explain yourself. Record. Yeah, you're man enough to make
- 19:14Speaker 1: that statement. Go ahead, we want to hear this. That's
- 19:18Speaker 1: all right, that's right, just no, no, but it is
- 19:26Speaker 1: important though, because it was on your mind. All right,
- 19:32Speaker 1: we're moving on. Well, we got a minute, man, Annie
- 19:42Speaker 1: and Orlando says, I just started a new job and
- 19:45Speaker 1: everything has been going really well. My boss seems like
- 19:49Speaker 1: a really nice guy, and I am still training with him.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So every day we go out to lunch together because
- 19:54Speaker 1: I'm trying to make a good first impression. We're both
- 19:57Speaker 1: happily married, so I'm concerned about appearances when we go
- 20:01Speaker 1: out together. There is no indication that he's attracted to me,
- 20:05Speaker 1: nor has ever treated me inappropriately. But my husband doesn't
- 20:08Speaker 1: like it. Should I continue going out to lunch with
- 20:10Speaker 1: my boss? Or politely decline? Yeah? Yeah, politely decline. You're saying, yeah, absolutely,
- 20:18Speaker 1: you should. I mean, lady, come on now, but see
- 20:21Speaker 1: you talking about he's He doesn't seem like he's Why
- 20:25Speaker 1: y'all going to lunch? She says she's still in training
- 20:30Speaker 1: with him. Training. Oh oh, oh, you ain't learned how
- 20:35Speaker 1: to eat it? No for her new job. I guess
- 20:38Speaker 1: they talk over business during lunch. No sounds nah, no,
- 20:48Speaker 1: So stop going to lunch. Okay, I wonder if your
- 20:52Speaker 1: husband don't like it? Keep on. Coming up next, Church
- 20:56Speaker 1: complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon deaf Jam. Right after this,
- 21:00Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 21:04Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Miss Anna's here with
- 21:06Speaker 1: today's national news plus an entertainment news. Today is a
- 21:10Speaker 1: premiere of the new season of Steve's Facebook TV talk show. Yes,
- 21:15Speaker 1: his Facebook talk show, It's called Steve on Watch. Later on,
- 21:19Speaker 1: we'll talk about the US Open champion and Naomi Osaka's
- 21:23Speaker 1: perfect response to a question about Black Lives matter. Yes, yes,
- 21:28Speaker 1: she had to be so young. You know, she's just
- 21:31Speaker 1: she's so talented, she's so bright, she's so smart, so articulate. Yeah,
- 21:36Speaker 1: I love her. I will talk more about these stories
- 21:38Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. But today is Monday.
- 21:40Speaker 1: It's time now for Reverend Motown and Deacon Depth jam

- 25:54Speaker 1: the screen doing service. It is. It was cute the
- 25:57Speaker 1: first time, but now it has gotten can't you see
- 26:03Speaker 1: not a church trying to mess around and get clothes.
- 26:09Speaker 1: The grand babiness will continue to make up piss on
- 26:12Speaker 1: all zoom calls and if they want to uh, and
- 26:18Speaker 1: you to tell I know this has come from Brother

- 27:14Speaker 1: a big different cuted heir. All hell, if you say something, pass,
- 27:21Speaker 1: if you say we gonna keep this as moving right
- 27:27Speaker 1: along now, pass as you should, Okay, past, you know
- 27:32Speaker 1: what I think you get upset me. But I am
- 27:34Speaker 1: the one that just brings you bring what they saying
- 27:38Speaker 1: the Godfather movie, the one that brings it to you
- 27:42Speaker 1: get his ass too. That's what it is. Godfather is
- 27:49Speaker 1: if you bring the fishing on rapid you must have
- 27:52Speaker 1: known he wasn't fish in hew, you better know your movies.
- 27:59Speaker 1: You don't want to pot the actor. All right, Speaking
- 28:04Speaker 1: of actors and movements, fast, here's the situation. The men
- 28:08Speaker 1: in black say that we have an alien in our congregation. Pastor,
- 28:13Speaker 1: they don't know who it is yet. Do you have
- 28:16Speaker 1: a clue on who this might be? That's brother Pettigrew.
- 28:20Speaker 1: So oh he was. He was born with the water
- 28:27Speaker 1: head and he just looked like an alien. But he's
- 28:30Speaker 1: he's all right. We painted it like a helmet. It's
- 28:36Speaker 1: really it's really his actual head. And they were born
- 28:40Speaker 1: at DC, and we put the Washington Redskins helmet on him.
- 28:43Speaker 1: And now they didn't get outlaw the helmet, but we're
- 28:46Speaker 1: the tattooed the Indian and a feather on the board.
- 28:51Speaker 1: All right. We got so he always wear to washing
- 28:54Speaker 1: the red skin helmet. But that ain't really helmet. That's
- 28:56Speaker 1: his head. Were just putting local inside Pastor and deacon.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Entertainment and
- 29:03Speaker 1: National news. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning
- 29:08Speaker 1: Show and the Entertainment News Today, September fourteenth, starts a
- 29:14Speaker 1: brand new season of Steve Facebook TV show. It's called
- 29:17Speaker 1: Steve on Watch. We See You Again? So so yeah,
- 29:24Speaker 1: season two? Right, so, Steve, you did an interview with
- 29:27Speaker 1: Entertainment Tonight's host Kevin Frasier about the new season of
- 29:30Speaker 1: Steve on Watch. Now this time around, you're taping it
- 29:33Speaker 1: from your home. Take a listen. His new show was
- 29:37Speaker 1: in the middle of its first season when COVID hit.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Now he's shooting season two from his house in Atlanta.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Are you get sticking on folks after a while? Are
- 29:45Speaker 1: you get on? Hey? Where you want to stand? I'm
- 29:48Speaker 1: so happy to see I've been at Quartins at large.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Safety is a priority, Steve. His on site staff and
- 29:56Speaker 1: crew all get weekly COVID test part of house to wein, Well,
- 30:01Speaker 1: this is the downstairs. The wall that you on right
- 30:05Speaker 1: now actually is the studio wall. And then when I
- 30:09Speaker 1: picked one of the studio members to talk to it
- 30:12Speaker 1: shows up in your camera where you are and around
- 30:16Speaker 1: the corner is cigar lounge golf role hold. I saw
- 30:23Speaker 1: that on your social media that you had the indoor
- 30:25Speaker 1: little chipping putting ring. Is that right? You have a
- 30:29Speaker 1: little golf indoor golf are. Yeah, just a little shout
- 30:33Speaker 1: out to Kevin Frasier. So how was it, Steve taping
- 30:36Speaker 1: from your home and everything? How was what? Now? It
- 30:44Speaker 1: was it was that? Yeah? Now it was? It was.
- 30:48Speaker 1: It was like really cool. I think. I think the
- 30:50Speaker 1: way they got it set up because we used a
- 30:53Speaker 1: viral audience, you know, so we had like fifty audience
- 30:57Speaker 1: members up on screen zooming from that house from Canada
- 31:03Speaker 1: all across the United States, you know, like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 31:13Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, And that's it, Carlin.
- 31:15Speaker 1: We was in the bubble, so it's like doing it
- 31:17Speaker 1: in the bubble, you know. But I'm gonna tell you what.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I am getting tired of the damn COVID tests. And
- 31:21Speaker 1: here's what I learned about the COVID tests. See, the
- 31:23Speaker 1: COVID testing is a new science, right because it just
- 31:27Speaker 1: started this year. Everybody don't know two people do to
- 31:30Speaker 1: COVID test the same listen I've taken. I've taken at
- 31:36Speaker 1: least sixteen COVID tests. At least sixteen because I gotta
- 31:41Speaker 1: take two a week for Facebook, and I gotta take
- 31:44Speaker 1: two a week for family feud. But before I go
- 31:48Speaker 1: to Facebook on that Thursday, they come over and they
- 31:51Speaker 1: take it. So I take three in one week, sometimes
- 31:54Speaker 1: sometimes four in a week, and I don't like it. Man,
- 31:58Speaker 1: I'm just gonna be honest with you, because no two
- 32:00Speaker 1: people do it the same. I had just one dude.
- 32:03Speaker 1: He does one nostril, sticks it all the way up
- 32:06Speaker 1: in there, holds it for ten seconds, then scrubs around
- 32:10Speaker 1: three and pull it out. Then some people it's five
- 32:14Speaker 1: seconds each nostril, and and they go just and some
- 32:17Speaker 1: people just go too far. I don't like it, man.
- 32:20Speaker 1: They need to get some consistent testing route, Like it
- 32:24Speaker 1: ought to be a weight limit. Like if your answer
- 32:25Speaker 1: is a big person, you can't handle the stick in
- 32:28Speaker 1: the nose. You can't do it because you're heavy handed testing. Yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 1: if you're a big ass dude, you you can't do it.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Women should just do the COVID test. Dudes ain't sensitive enough.
- 32:39Speaker 1: You got a big nose though you're nostril, You're not
- 32:49Speaker 1: is your nose though. It's not about the test, it's no,
- 32:52Speaker 1: it's about that. They need to be longer for you. Okay, man,
- 32:56Speaker 1: Can I ask you a question? Did you get tested
- 32:58Speaker 1: all ready for love four days? Do they use a
- 33:04Speaker 1: real short stick when they do. Yours time, now the
- 33:08Speaker 1: sea for the latest headlines. Let's go the ladies. A gentleman,
- 33:12Speaker 1: it's a trip, okay, and good morning everybody. This is
- 33:16Speaker 1: a trip. Well, no laughing matter to the folks in
- 33:18Speaker 1: the Gulf area. Tropical Storm Sally is expected to make
- 33:22Speaker 1: landfall on the Gulf coast this week as a hurricane.
- 33:26Speaker 1: New Orleans mayor Latoria Cantrell says hurricane and storm surge
- 33:29Speaker 1: watches have already been issued. We cannot again afford to
- 33:32Speaker 1: take this lightly. We're still again watching the weather patterns
- 33:38Speaker 1: every single hour and minute as we prepare ourselves they
- 33:42Speaker 1: go to. Mississippi has declared a state of emergency Hurricane Laura.
- 33:45Speaker 1: You may remember it hit southwest Louisiana late last month
- 33:48Speaker 1: as a Category four storm, and more than twelve thousand
- 33:51Speaker 1: evacuees from that are still sheltered in New Orleans hotels.
- 33:55Speaker 1: They still haven't gone home. Wildfires across the state of
- 33:58Speaker 1: Oregon a scorch more than fourteen hundred square miles and
- 34:02Speaker 1: remain largely uncontained. More than fifty people are reported missing. Meanwhile,
- 34:06Speaker 1: cruising California continuing to battle dozens of blazes there that
- 34:10Speaker 1: have burned up nearly five thousand square miles. At least
- 34:13Speaker 1: thirty people have lost their lives and more than forty
- 34:16Speaker 1: seven hundred structures have either been damaged or completely destroyed.
- 34:20Speaker 1: In California, to Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy still fighting
- 34:24Speaker 1: for their lives. This morning, they were in critical condition.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Now they're said to be in stable, but then doesn't
- 34:29Speaker 1: necessarily mean they're out of the woods. Law enforcement officials
- 34:32Speaker 1: say they were ambushed. Two were shot at point blank
- 34:35Speaker 1: range Saturday night in Compton. In surveillance video, the shooter
- 34:39Speaker 1: walks up to the passenger side of the police vehicle
- 34:41Speaker 1: and just opens fire. The gunman then runs away. Last Thursday,
- 34:45Speaker 1: in Compton, authorities say that another officer involved shooting took place,
- 34:49Speaker 1: and this one agents from the Sheriff's office shot and
- 34:52Speaker 1: killed a man who they said fired on them as
- 34:54Speaker 1: they tried to serve a search warrant. According to a
- 34:58Speaker 1: document obtained by The Washington Post, Trump administration has issued
- 35:01Speaker 1: a memo ordering federal agencies to stop conducting racial sensitivity classes.
- 35:06Speaker 1: The Trump White House labels such training as quote Unamerican
- 35:10Speaker 1: divisive propaganda. At the same time, a report from the
- 35:13Speaker 1: Department of Homeland Security is saying that white supremacists present
- 35:17Speaker 1: the gravest terror threat to the United States. According to Politico,
- 35:21Speaker 1: even though there were two subsequent memo rewrites of this,
- 35:24Speaker 1: it says, all three drafts contain the same sentence, and
- 35:27Speaker 1: here it is among domestic violent extremists, we judge white
- 35:31Speaker 1: supremacists will remain the most persistent and lethal threat to
- 35:36Speaker 1: in the homeland through twenty twenty one. Not one of
- 35:40Speaker 1: the drafts, by the way, from the Department of Homeland Security,
- 35:42Speaker 1: referred any threat from Antifa, the left leaning agitators that
- 35:46Speaker 1: Trump talks about all the time. Finally, though today as
- 35:48Speaker 1: national the quiet day, Calm down, Arnold, Now back to
- 35:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to Dave Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:03Speaker 1: We gotta say congratulations to twenty year old Naomi Osaka.
- 36:08Speaker 1: She's the winner girl of the US Own and her
- 36:13Speaker 1: third count them three, one two three Grand Slam title.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Take a listen to Naomi's perfect response to a question
- 36:21Speaker 1: about her wearing her Black Lives Matter math after winning
- 36:25Speaker 1: the US Open. You said, from the beginning, you had
- 36:28Speaker 1: seven matches, seven masks, seven names. What was the message
- 36:33Speaker 1: you wanted to send, Naomi tom Well, what was the
- 36:36Speaker 1: message that you got? Listened more of the question. I
- 36:39Speaker 1: feel like the point is to make people start talking.
- 36:43Speaker 1: What'll be most gratified about the awareness that you raised? Um?
- 36:47Speaker 1: I mean for me, I've been inside of the bubble,
- 36:50Speaker 1: so I'm not really sure what's really going on in
- 36:52Speaker 1: the outside world. All I can tell is what's going
- 36:54Speaker 1: on on social media. And for me, I feel like,
- 36:57Speaker 1: you know, the more retweets it gets or that's so lame,
- 37:00Speaker 1: but you know, the more people talk about it, wow,
- 37:06Speaker 1: you And he didn't answer it that, yeah, did you
- 37:13Speaker 1: get because because see, you want to be a reporter,
- 37:17Speaker 1: so you want to be neutral, but you want everybody
- 37:20Speaker 1: to be expl have to explain what they're doing. It's
- 37:24Speaker 1: just real simple. Black lives matter. Say her name. It's
- 37:29Speaker 1: just real simple. We want you to get the point
- 37:31Speaker 1: that black lives matter. H what's disturbing, though, is this
- 37:37Speaker 1: president is on a recording saying to someone who asked
- 37:43Speaker 1: him about racism. He said, oh, so you're drinking the
- 37:46Speaker 1: racism cool age. Yeah, I mean, you know, thinking yeah,
- 37:53Speaker 1: And you know, man, that's really disheartening because here's here's
- 37:56Speaker 1: a real problem with racism in this country for those
- 38:00Speaker 1: who are in positions or just in life general, or
- 38:04Speaker 1: just on your job who claims that racism doesn't exist.
- 38:08Speaker 1: If that's your thought about racism, doesn't agrist exist, then
- 38:11Speaker 1: there's nothing for you to address. That's no problem to solve.
- 38:15Speaker 1: And that right there is the ridiculousness of it all.
- 38:18Speaker 1: And that's why we've got to keep bringing it up
- 38:22Speaker 1: and keep bringing up the awareness so people get it.
- 38:26Speaker 1: And this November we've got to get to the polls
- 38:29Speaker 1: so he gets it. So yeah, man, true, yeah, Trump,
- 38:33Speaker 1: were drinking it. Yeah, we're drinking the koolaid and we're
- 38:38Speaker 1: gonna get your glass of it on the floor. You
- 38:40Speaker 1: can't handle our koolaid on a light of No, Junior, Uh,
- 38:49Speaker 1: I know the Texans laws and the Rockets law, but
- 38:52Speaker 1: ain't no Naomi. Ain't he from Houston? I think's he
- 38:55Speaker 1: from us? Today? Well, y'all trying everything? Ain't you just reaching?
- 39:03Speaker 1: All morning? And so it's Beyonce. Since we all coming
- 39:09Speaker 1: up in thirty four minutes after the hour the versus Battle,
- 39:12Speaker 1: Patty versus Gladys, we're gonna talk about it right after this.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You're listening, all right? Come on, Carla with today's music news.
- 39:24Speaker 1: We're talking about the versus battle, Patty versus Gladys. Oh lord, okay,
- 39:31Speaker 1: So did y'all see it? Ye ya see it? Yes?
- 39:36Speaker 1: The queens, goody okay, the queens last night. I mean,
- 39:40Speaker 1: I'm talking about everybody checked in. We all checked in.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Jill Scott, Buster Brons, Erica Campbell, Brandy, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Lorenz,
- 39:48Speaker 1: Tate Lettuce See, Monica Forever, First Lady, Michelle Obama, Loud
- 39:54Speaker 1: Queen Latifa, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Washington, Missy Elliott, Red Hammond, everybody,
- 40:03Speaker 1: come on, come on, because they know, they know you
- 40:09Speaker 1: can only hope that God allows you to exist in
- 40:14Speaker 1: this business at the level that them two sisters has
- 40:18Speaker 1: done it. Yes, you just you can't have those crew.
- 40:21Speaker 1: These two women were seventy six years old. Did you
- 40:24Speaker 1: see how they looks at damn the singing? Did you
- 40:27Speaker 1: see how they look sitting up there? Yeah, that's what happened.
- 40:33Speaker 1: When you know God. That's what happens. When you stay
- 40:37Speaker 1: drug free, that's what happens man. When you eating better,
- 40:41Speaker 1: that's what happens, man. When you enjoy what you do,
- 40:45Speaker 1: that's what happens when you ain't out here trying to
- 40:47Speaker 1: do harm to everybody? He does. Don't never live that
- 40:50Speaker 1: long and look that good. You ever noticed that he
- 40:53Speaker 1: always looked they look bad? My damn on Agnes. That okay. Anyway,
- 41:02Speaker 1: back to Patty and Gladys. They talked about cooking recipes,
- 41:07Speaker 1: part rolls. Patty kicked off her shoes, Patty Steve, she
- 41:12Speaker 1: said she still had a flip phone. She's still Yes,
- 41:18Speaker 1: she did, yes, she did. I mean the queens, it
- 41:22Speaker 1: was just it was not even a battle. It was
- 41:24Speaker 1: two legacy, two legends that's singing and having a good time. Steve.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I just y'all, it was just some And you know
- 41:34Speaker 1: what the cool thing about it was they were sisters. Yeah,
- 41:40Speaker 1: you know that's what That's what it is. That's what
- 41:42Speaker 1: I like. Monica and Brandy. They were sisters, you know,
- 41:47Speaker 1: Jill and Erica. They were sisters. See that's how we
- 41:51Speaker 1: really are. We're not the basketball wives, Atlanta housewives. That
- 41:56Speaker 1: ain't That ain't who black women are. No Black women
- 42:00Speaker 1: beef and and she said to Brandy and Monica last night,
- 42:05Speaker 1: to fix what's going on. Glad has said that y'all
- 42:08Speaker 1: need to fix whatever it is that's going on, because yes,
- 42:12Speaker 1: y'all gonna be in this game for a long time.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Beef And where did that come from? You ain't got
- 42:18Speaker 1: time for that at one point in time. Man, Living
- 42:21Speaker 1: your life to the fullest depends on how you treat
- 42:23Speaker 1: other people. Do unto others that you would have them
- 42:26Speaker 1: do unto you. Man, we gotta squash all these beefs. Man, yes, sir,
- 42:30Speaker 1: you know this ain't got nothing to do with If
- 42:31Speaker 1: I was watching this thing this weekend on Snoop how
- 42:34Speaker 1: master Piece saved his life yep, because he was gonna
- 42:38Speaker 1: do a big story and he was gonna do an
- 42:40Speaker 1: album about f death Row and master people pulling him
- 42:43Speaker 1: to the side of say, man, what you want to
- 42:45Speaker 1: do good? What you want to do that for? And
- 42:51Speaker 1: Snoop set down man and went, what na this is
- 42:53Speaker 1: how we roll? Na? Man, you gotta get out and
- 42:56Speaker 1: let that go. Yea masterpiece that Snoop down and talk
- 43:00Speaker 1: some sense into him and got him on track and
- 43:02Speaker 1: let him make some money and stop. You know this,
- 43:05Speaker 1: you that's that's what this should be about. Man. This
- 43:09Speaker 1: should be about all of us, mending fences, all of us.
- 43:13Speaker 1: If you got ill or any against your brother. Man,
- 43:16Speaker 1: at least sit down, man, you know, to forgiveness. I mean, man,

- 54:31Speaker 1: be a lot of people who are disappointed in the
- 54:36Speaker 1: direction of the country. And that's that's what I really
- 54:40Speaker 1: think will happen. And I'm just I'm just hoping that

- 56:25Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry Letter. Subject my boyfriend's
- 56:30Speaker 1: son is creeping me out. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a
- 56:34Speaker 1: thirty five year old woman and I'm at a loss
- 56:36Speaker 1: for words when it comes to my new boyfriend's four
- 56:40Speaker 1: year old son. I've been with my boyfriend for six
- 56:43Speaker 1: months and he felt it was time for me to
- 56:45Speaker 1: meet us four year old sons. He's told me that
- 56:47Speaker 1: I am the first woman he's been serious about in years,
- 56:50Speaker 1: and he can see me as his wife someday. So
- 56:54Speaker 1: I met his four year old son and he's a
- 56:57Speaker 1: bit weird. He looked me up and down and said hello.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Then he stared at my breath for a long time.
- 57:04Speaker 1: My boyfriend noticed and chuckled, then told his son to
- 57:08Speaker 1: go play. The little boy went to the kitchen table
- 57:11Speaker 1: where he had been drawing pictures. He came over to
- 57:14Speaker 1: me and he said he drew me a picture. He
- 57:16Speaker 1: drew a picture of me with his daddy, and I
- 57:18Speaker 1: had huge boobs, a huge behind, and a big head.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I'm a curvy woman, so I can see how that
- 57:26Speaker 1: might stand out to him, but I didn't like it.
- 57:30Speaker 1: My boyfriend didn't think it was a big deal at all.
- 57:32Speaker 1: He said the boy was just being honest with what
- 57:35Speaker 1: he saw, and small kids don't have a filter. The
- 57:38Speaker 1: next time I was over at my boyfriend's home, the
- 57:40Speaker 1: boy just sat and stared at me, and he barely
- 57:43Speaker 1: answered when I talked to him, and I told my
- 57:45Speaker 1: boyfriend he was creeping me out. I put him to
- 57:49Speaker 1: bed later that night and he said good night, and
- 57:51Speaker 1: he was going to dream about me. What the holy
- 57:54Speaker 1: heck is going on here? While my boyfriend is glad
- 57:57Speaker 1: his son likes me, I'm so worried that some things
- 58:00Speaker 1: not right with the kid. Since then, He's drawn more
- 58:03Speaker 1: pictures of me, and he even drew a picture of
- 58:05Speaker 1: me without ahead. My boyfriend is still saying it's not
- 58:09Speaker 1: a problem. I was using the bathroom and this kid
- 58:13Speaker 1: was sitting outside the door when I came out. Is
- 58:15Speaker 1: this how kids show they like you? Or is this
- 58:18Speaker 1: kid just a little creep Please help? Well? You know,
- 58:23Speaker 1: I think this is creepy, and I think it's creepy
- 58:27Speaker 1: because you're making it so. I mean, we're talking about
- 58:32Speaker 1: a four year old baby here. It sounds like the
- 58:35Speaker 1: little boy is just smitten with you. He doesn't really
- 58:39Speaker 1: know how to act. He's just four, so he doesn't
- 58:42Speaker 1: know how to quite process his feelings or just how
- 58:46Speaker 1: to deal with what's going on. I mean, maybe he's
- 58:49Speaker 1: never seen a woman that looks like you before. And
- 58:52Speaker 1: I definitely mean that in a good way. You said
- 58:54Speaker 1: you were curvy and everything. So you know, I think
- 58:58Speaker 1: it's a situation where you and the dad are adults.
- 59:01Speaker 1: You need to act like adults, I think, and just
- 59:03Speaker 1: you know, find out what's going on. And it's four
- 59:05Speaker 1: a little a little four year old head. I mean,
- 59:08Speaker 1: he's his mind is young. I think make him feel
- 59:11Speaker 1: safe and comfortable enough that and I'm sure he'll He'll
- 59:14Speaker 1: talk to you about a whole lot of stuff that's
- 59:16Speaker 1: going on, you know, like a lot of four year
- 59:18Speaker 1: olds do. When you sit down and have a conversation
- 59:21Speaker 1: with them. I think you might find out it's perfectly innocent,
- 59:25Speaker 1: and maybe you look like a superhero to him or something.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I just say, don't make something creepy and crazy where
- 59:33Speaker 1: it shouldn't be. I mean, he's four, He's just a
- 59:35Speaker 1: four year old kid. You know, I would say, what's
- 59:38Speaker 1: wrong with you in this instance? Steve? Yeah, I mean,
- 59:45Speaker 1: I don't have much to add, but when I come back,
- 59:47Speaker 1: I will add what I do have to aid. A lady,
- 59:54Speaker 1: just hang on, because here I come with what I
- 59:56Speaker 1: think is happening. All right. We'll have part two of
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: his response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Subject for the Strawberry Letter today, my boyfriend's son is
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: creeping me out. We'll be back right after this. You're
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: listening show, all right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. Subject my boyfriend's son is creeping me out. Well,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: let me just help start by saying, I think Shirley's
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: one correct. Here, I don't think there's anything to worry
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: about at all. First of all, it's obvious that you
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: don't have any children, so because you know you would
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: have some idea of how kids can be at time.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: But you've been with your boyfriend. He felt his time
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: for meet for your old son. Now, this is the
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: first woman he'd been seious about in years, and he
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: can see me as his wife Sunday. So he takes
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you to meet this for your old son, and he's weird.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: He looked you up and down and said hello. Then
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: he stayed at your breast for a long time. His dad,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: he ain't got no breast, He ain't had no women
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: over at the house in a while. Nobody's serious. Nobody
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: the man wants to introduce him to This is new
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: to him. You do not know the relationship he has
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: with his mother. You didn't mention if his mother's in
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: his life active as the man has full of custody.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: You don't know. But obviously you are brand new to
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: this boy. Now he looked at you, stared at you,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: looked you up and down, staring at your breast for
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: a long time. Then your boyfriend kind of noticed and
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: told his son gonna play well, little boy, go back
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: in the kitchen, started drawing picture. Then he came up
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: you and said, he drew me a picture. He fall,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I got something for you. Hit you a picture me
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and his daddy, and I had huge boobs, a huge behind,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: and a big head. Okay, damn the head. Ain't you
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: got big boobs? You said, I'm a curvy woman, so
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I can see how that might stand out to him.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Might What did you have on in this boy's face? Cleavage,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: something tight? And your breast was up there now he
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: noticed them. He just a boy. He don't know. I've
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: been looking at women's breast ever since. I can't remember.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I was five in love with my Sunday school teacher boy.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: She was from fishing as your church. One Sunday I
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: was sitting on the table with her legs cross, teaching
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: the sitting there with her legs cross, teaching them, teaching
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: us about Jesus. And I didn't hear nothing about Jesus
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: that day. Nothing. I'm just telling you so I was
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: six O clo No that this ain't nothing wrong. He
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: drawing pictures. Shirley said it right. He doesn't know how
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: to express his feelings. I'm gonna draw this picture. Hear
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: you you like it, because I damn show do now.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Your boyfriend didn't think it was a big deal. All
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: he said, the boy was just being honest with what
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: he saw. Kids don't have a filter. Well, next time
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you're over at your house, the boy just said and
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: stared at me. He barely answered when I talked to him.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: The boy is enamored with you. You are new, You
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: are new. I told my boyfriend he was creeping me out.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I put him to bed later that night. He said
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: good night, and he was gonna dream about me. That's
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: a little boy. He don't know what to say. You're
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna dream about you. You're gonna be my new mama.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: What the holy heck is going on here? While my
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: boyfriend is glad and his son does like you, if
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: he didn't like you, you get on the other side
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: of this thing, and then you really have something to
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: worry about. I'm so awared that something's not right with
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: this kid. Everything's fine with it. He's a boy. He's
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: a boy, and he don't know how to deal with
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: what he looking at. You won't look like nobody else
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: has been over there. Obviously don't look like his mama,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and you definitely don't look like his daddy. Now, since then,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: he's drawn more pictures of me, and he even drew
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: a picture of me without a head because that ain't
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: what he sees. He can't get your head right, no way.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: But he betty had a big booty and the big
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: boobs on that picture though, didn't he right? He just
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: he just thought he throw that on that But then
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: he said, no, I didn't capture that right. Let me
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: draw what I know how to draw. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: My boyfriend is still saying, it's not a problem. I
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: was using the bathroom and this kid was sitting outside
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: the door when I came out. What you're doing it now?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna wait on you to come out. He likes you.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: What you should do is sit down and act like
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: a mother to him. If you really want to have
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: a relationship with this man, this enamorment will pass ass
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: But you've got to, you know, show him how to dress,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: help him with his school where, talk to him about
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: stuff that mothers to. He's probably be missing that, and
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: he don't want you to go away. Is this our
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: kids show they like you? Yes? Or is this kid
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: a little creep? Not at all. He's a four year
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: old boy. This is a boy. This little dude, he
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: am listen to me. He not aroused or nothing like that.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: At four. He just liked the woman that's at the house.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Please help now. Surely said you got to grow up
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: in this situation. It ain't there. I don't even see
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: why you're reading. You're reading too much into this. Yeah,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: you're reading big boobs, big booty. He looking at me.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: He don't see my head. A lot of men don't
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: see your head. Now that's different. You trip it. It's
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: a little boy. Man. He made no move on you.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: He ain't even got no move too. Lake baby, he's four. Boy.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: If you could see my little grandson at this party,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: at this eight year old Latin girl was dancing at
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: this party, he was folk when he saw this girl.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Boss your comments on today's Strawberry Letter FM on Instagram

- 1:07:22Speaker 1: soon as they lost, head coach Mike did Tony resigned. Quign.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: He resigned. He resigned right after the loss. No, no,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: he resigned. But we didn't want him, no way, but
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: he resigned. So he quit. Yeah, he quit. It's not him.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: The GM won't won't. Look he played with the best
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: team because that small ball was winning for a while,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: but it can't win the championship. He always win in
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the regular season, it'll never win in the playoffs because
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: the yeah, that wouldn't even in the playoffs. Why are
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: you listening to him, Cleveland Lebron is I told you what?
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: He won the title for Cleveland twenty sixteen. I told
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you when the playoffs started who I was fault. I've
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: always said my favorite players, Russell or Westbrook. I've always
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: said that not winning. No, damn tight on dope. Now
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: my man is still in it. Yeah yeah, and y'alls ain't. No,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: they're not. They are not in it. No, and I
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: don't That's why I don't want to do this. I
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: don't see the prods crushing the y'all. Y'all keep see
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: y'all gonna do like me. I know that the Browns
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: wasn't gonna beat Baltimore yesterday. I know that y'all going
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: every game thinking your ass gonna win. That shit damn problem?
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: What got all this hold title? The Texas lost one Champs,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: we love him. We lost to the Northeast champs. Man,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: we lost to Baltimore. Damn all air one is old
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: and one. You want to have a better. I'm not
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: gonna cry with Tuesday. I'm not going to cry. No, No,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: you cried by yourself. Houston out, Texans is out in
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Astro lost. What say? Sorry to do that to you? Junior.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: We gotta go, Yeah, coming up, I know, coming up.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show at the top of the hour.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: We all saw this horrific video on social media over
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: the weekend of the Clayton County sheriff repair heatedly punching
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: a black man his name is rogerick Walker after a
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: traffic stop. Um, well he's been fired. Uh. The victim
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: rocking Rogerick Walker was Yeah, that is really good, Carl.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: You're right, was with his girlfriend and one of his
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: children as the incident unfolded. I mean, the deputy was
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: fired for using excessive force. Here we go again, Here
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: we go again. Okay, say he fired, but nothing else
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: happens to you at all. Well, I mean that's usually
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: the first step. You know, it just happened. So that's
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the firing is all you gonna get for for the
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: person names, that's all you get. Most of them don't
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: even get fired for killing. That's about most can happen
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: to you. You lose your job for sucker punching him
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: like that. But I don't understand. Let me ask you
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: a question. It was just so a traffic stop. Yeah,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: it was a traf it was. It's so weird with
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: this story about the traffic stop, because first they said
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: that it was a ride share and Lift was involved.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: The Lift is tweeting they weren't involved. He was the passenger,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: he was not He wasn't driving. No, so it's still
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: more to this, you know, as the details it. Yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I just don't understand what's going on in me. Two
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: police officers laying on top of the guy that right,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: that that wait alone was enough, but they kept trying
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: to he right, and he was struggling with the officers.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: But the excessive punching in the face. Then when the
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: when the guy doing the film said, that's it, that's
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: your aunt. Did the police office gonna turn to him
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: and say he bit me? Right? Because when they got up,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: the man's face was all bloody. Remember his nose was
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: bleeding from his nose and everything. It was just push
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: his face in the ground, and I mean he was
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I could punching this dude. Man And this was a
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: big ass Yeah yeah, daddy. Yeah. But they actually like
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: they didn't hear them. They I mean, they go into
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: what happens to them somewhere else. Yeah, it's like what
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: happens to them when they have they almost killed this person.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: They didn't have to do that. It's like de escalation
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: is should always be the key, but it never is.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: It just goes worse and worse and work, it gets
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: worse and worse worse because it is no mandatory sentencing
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: of police officers. What wed the mistake we've made with
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: the police is that we've given them a badge to
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: operate as judge, jury and execution. Yeah, and until we
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: take away that power, they gonna keep exerting it because
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: it only you only got to go to police academy
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: for twenty two weeks. And I'll say it again. You
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: can become a police officer fast, and you can become
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: a barber. Let's still a deadly weapon. Yeah, now you
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: can taste and kill people after twenty two weeks, but
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you bet not mess nobody head up at day, bobsh
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: who understand. So, Now, until we get some type of
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: laws in place that require that require consequences of police
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: officers who perform these deadly acts and unfair acts against
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: people black, white, yellow, brown that we paid to uphold
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: the law, they should be held to the same law
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: they are paid to a poll. And until we get
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: some sentencing mandatory for these police officers. This is going
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: to continue to happen. Yeah, that deputy again was fired
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: for using excessive force and other news too. LA deputies
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: are fighting for their lives after being shot multiple times
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: as a man walked up to a patrol car parked
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: patrol car shot them multiple times. The two officers shot
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: were was a thirty one year old female mother of
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: six year old boy and her partner on duty. Twenty
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: four year old shot multiple times. Guy, his ass got
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: to go to prison, Yes, sirs, No, we're against police brutality.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Coming up, we'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Show in some trending stories at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: All right, So there's another tropical storm, hurricane in the
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: golf Carla. Is this is this right? Is this correct? Yes?
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Hurricane tropical storm Sally. Yes, it's a Category two right
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: now and off the coast of Florida now heading towards Louise.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Right outside in New Orleans, Morgan City. Those areas are
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: really big with off oil, you know, rigs and offshore drilling,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: is what I'm trying to say. So that's a big
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: area there, Mississippi, so everyone is on alert. They're saying
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: that that storm can make landfall by Tuesday. So again,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: y'all know the drill. You know the routine. Evacuate, listen
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: to your local officials and authorities, be safe, and you
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: know it's it's late in the season, but it's here.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: It's still September hurricane season. Yes, it's not over until November,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: all right, thanks Carla. So from hurricanes, we go to wildfires.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: The death toll continues to rise in the West as
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: fires rage on in California and other states. At least
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: seventeen people in Oregon, California, and Washington have now died.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Over three million acres have been burned, and tens of
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: thousands of residents have been evacuated. Fires have destroyed thousands
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: of structures and dozens keep raging. Global warming is real, people,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: so protect the planet, and we got to vote. That's it.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: We have a president that doesn't believe in global morning.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Show and some trending news coming up at thirty three
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning show and entertainment News. Today, September fourteenth,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: starts a brand new season of Steve's Facebook TV show.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: It's called Steve on Watch Again. So so yeah, season two? Right,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: so Steve, you get an interview with Entertainment Tonight's host
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Kevin Frasier about the new season of Steve on Watch.

- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Take a listen. His new show was in the middle
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: of its first season when COVID hit. Now he's shooting
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: season two from his house in Atlanta. Are you get in, folks?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: After a while you get hey, man, you don't understand.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: I'm so happy to see these people pick talk. I've
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: been at quarantine since Marge. Safety is a priority. Steve,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: his on site staff and crew all get weekly COVID tests.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: What part of your house that we in, Well, this
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: is downstairs. The wall that you're on right now actually
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: is the studio wall. And then when I pick one
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: of the studio members to talk to, it shows up
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: in your camera where you are and around the corner
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: is cigar lounge golf role hold. I saw that on
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: your social media that you had to indoor little chipping
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: cutting ring. Is that right, you have a little golf
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: indoor golf. Ay. Yeah, just a little shout out to
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: Kevin Frasier. So how was it, Steve taping from your
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: home and everything? How was what? Now? It was that? Yeah?
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Now it was? It was? It was like really cool.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I think. I think the way they got to set
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: up because we used a viral audience, you know, so
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: we had like fifty audience members up on screen zooming
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: from that house from Canada all across the United States,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: you know, like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: I'm saying. Yeah, And that's it, Carl. It we was
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: in the bubble, So it's like doing it in the bubble,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: you know. But I'm gonna tell you what. I am
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: getting tired of the damn COVID tests. And here's what
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: I learned about the COVID tests. See, the COVID testing
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: is a new science, right because it just started this year.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Everybody don't know two people do the COVID test the
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: same you listen, I've taken I've taken at least sixteen
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: COVID tests. At least sixteen because I gotta tell two
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: a week for Facebook, and I gotta take two a
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: week for family. Feud well before I go to Facebook
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: on that Thursday, they come over and they take it.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: So I take three in one week, sometimes sometimes four
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: in a week, and I don't like it. Man, I'm
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: just gonna be honest with you, because no two people

- 1:20:27Speaker 1: he passed away last week at sixty eight, last Wednesday
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: morning to be exact, at his home in the US
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Virgin Islands. He had his wife by his side and
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: no cause of death has been reported. But I mean
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: cool in the Gang. He was in that age group
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: at my prom is seventy four Hollywood. Swanga's in Jungle
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Boogie was to Jane at the prom in seventy four.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: It was Litwod the Greatest song, and then Summer Madness. Man,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: it's just a cold classic Will Smith redid it. But
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: the Cooling the Gang version of Summer Madness is that
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: you're hearing the second doing closing, which we should just
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: play now because this is what he created. This was
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: his jam. Man Cooling the Gang mate, just this was
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: the cut. Man. Everybody had it blasted in their car
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: man driving down the street. Man, this was the cut.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: So rest in peace. It's sort of crazy, man, I
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: met all these people man and and losing themselves. So
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: sad to see because the musical genius, of the musical
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: talent of these people is it's unmatched. It's just unmatched, man,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: because they came up here in the areas. It's like
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: it's like the Paddy La Belle and the Gladdest Night
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Tribute battle. I mean, you're talking about legends, man, These
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: women seven years old, you're talking about it flat out
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: still got it. They look so good. Yeah last night,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: that looks so beautiful after hit. That type of class man,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: it's hard to come by. It's not that's not that
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: it don't exist anymore. It's just hard to come by.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: And if you can have the careers that these women had,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: that's that's a testament to to just real talent. Man.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna do something before I tell you about voting. Uh.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I wanted to take a positive moment for everybody today
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: because you know, look, man, we all are dealing with
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: so many things. Look, the COVID is real, man, the
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: election is real. The turmoil in this country is real.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter is real. Brianna Taylor is real, George
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Floyd is real. This is crazy, man, this time we
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: live in. But I want to give you something on
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: a positive note today to try to help you out.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Somebody sent this to me and always like sharing positive
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: stuff with my audience to try to keep your head
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: above it and listen to this real careful. It says,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: begin your day with an I get to listen to
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: me careful, Begin your day by saying I get to.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I get to, and say that to yourself mentally, instead
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: of waking up and saying I have to replace I
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: have to with I get to. It changes your whole
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: thought process throughout today. I get to go to work.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I get to have a busy day, whatever it may be. Man,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: I get to see and talk to my kids today.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: I get a chance to drive to work today. See.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: We often dress up our opportunities at stress. Are you
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: listening to me? We often dress up our opportunities as stress,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: but they are in fact blessings. The fact that you
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: get to go to work is a blessing. Instead of
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I have to go to work, I get to do
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: my job today instead of I have to do my
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: job today. I get to talk to my family today
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: instead of I have to talk to my family today.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: I get to be grateful today instead I have to
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: be great. I get to go down there today instead

- 1:25:04Speaker 1: share everything now to the business at hand, voting. I
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: talk about it every day. I cannot stop. This country
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: is in turmoil. This country ain't sitting right right now.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: If you think this country sitting right right now, is
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: something wrong with you. COVID is a global pandemic that
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: has affected America like it's affected no other country or region.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: We leading the world in cases, we lead the world
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: in depths, but we're supposed to be the powerhouse, the richest,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: the best. Something is wrong with our nation. It is
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: really something wrong. And on top of all of that,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: we can't get them to understand that black lives do
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: really matter. They've got so many anti slogans to combat that. Man,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: why you just want to leave the slogan alone? Why
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: you gotta come back with blue lives matter? All lives matter,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: we say, and they don't. But just because ours count
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: like everybody else's, and they keep on doing it to us,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: They just did it in Clayton County again. Man, they
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: have no disregard. They are under a climate of they
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: can get away with this to us. They got a president.
