- 3:11Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Oh man, Steve Harvey
- 3:15Speaker 1: got a radio show because God. Because God is simply amazing,
- 3:20Speaker 1: because God is off the chain, because God is over
- 3:23Speaker 1: the top, because God is all that in a bag
- 3:26Speaker 1: of chips. God is amazing. Man. God will take you
- 3:30Speaker 1: places that you never ever thought you would go, or
- 3:35Speaker 1: you know what it Sometimes it amazes me when I'm
- 3:37Speaker 1: watching people talk about themselves and their careers and where
- 3:42Speaker 1: they're adding life and things and they and and I
- 3:45Speaker 1: hear people say, you know, always dreamed of being him.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You know, I can understand when a person says that
- 3:52Speaker 1: I've I've always dreamed that of something like this would
- 3:55Speaker 1: happen to me. But I want you to think about
- 3:57Speaker 1: that for a second. Did you really see it just
- 4:02Speaker 1: like that though? Did you really really see it just
- 4:07Speaker 1: like that. Did you really know that God was gonna
- 4:14Speaker 1: bring you through all he bought you through to get
- 4:17Speaker 1: you to this place? Did you know that, in spite
- 4:20Speaker 1: of the losses along the way that would crumble the
- 4:24Speaker 1: average person, that somehow He kept you through it all
- 4:27Speaker 1: and that's how you got here? Did did you think
- 4:31Speaker 1: of you know? I mean, you know, you know? I mean,
- 4:34Speaker 1: since you're so busy talking about yourself now, have you
- 4:37Speaker 1: forgotten all the times He was bringing you through when
- 4:42Speaker 1: you didn't see no way that you was gonna get through?
- 4:46Speaker 1: Do you remember that? So when you sit there and
- 4:48Speaker 1: you say, I dreamed of this, this is what I
- 4:52Speaker 1: always saw happening, I don't really think. So, I don't
- 4:56Speaker 1: really think. If you take inventory, or real close inventory
- 5:00Speaker 1: of your life and you look back on it all,
- 5:02Speaker 1: stop looking at the moment right now, remember where you
- 5:05Speaker 1: come from. See, that's what gets me emotional. Sometimes, that's
- 5:08Speaker 1: what makes me tear up, because when something is happening
- 5:12Speaker 1: to me in the moment, it ain't the moment. For me,
- 5:16Speaker 1: it's the memory of how I got there. It's the
- 5:19Speaker 1: recollection of all the things, all the nights, all the days,
- 5:25Speaker 1: in that car, all the times by myself when I
- 5:28Speaker 1: felt like I wasn't gonna make it, but somehow I'm
- 5:31Speaker 1: standing somewhere and somebody passing out on the ward to
- 5:34Speaker 1: me or somebody calling my name, that's that. Did you
- 5:39Speaker 1: really think you was gonna make it? Then? So so so,
- 5:42Speaker 1: since you're talking about this is what I always dreamed of.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Did you really think in those moments right there that
- 5:48Speaker 1: you would even be standing here today? That's why I
- 5:50Speaker 1: try to I try to give people to understand, you know,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and and and and and this is kind of for
- 5:55Speaker 1: young people today, Um what I'm about to say. But
- 5:58Speaker 1: then guess what, sometimes I to remind myself of it,
- 6:01Speaker 1: So I guess it's still kind of for everybody, you know,
- 6:04Speaker 1: because I work with a lot of young people, and
- 6:06Speaker 1: and and and so many times, man, young people just
- 6:09Speaker 1: don't understand what all it takes. And I know, and
- 6:15Speaker 1: if you're a full grown adult, if you're forty, you
- 6:17Speaker 1: you really understanding where I'm coming from, because you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you know, it's listen to me, young people or anybody
- 6:26Speaker 1: that don't understand this, that you got to do some
- 6:29Speaker 1: things that you don't want to do. In order to
- 6:33Speaker 1: do what you want to do, you have to understand
- 6:36Speaker 1: this principle of success or else you are not going
- 6:40Speaker 1: to become successful. I got what you want to do.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I got your ultimate goal? Is this, that, and the other?
- 6:47Speaker 1: I got all of that. But in the meantime, though,
- 6:51Speaker 1: there are some necessary steps that you have to take
- 6:54Speaker 1: in order to become successful, and you cannot skip these steps.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You can't jump over these steps just because you want
- 7:01Speaker 1: to be rich Friday, I got that. I got that.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Everybody got that. But if you want this, whatever you're
- 7:09Speaker 1: talking about, whether it's money or success or fame or
- 7:13Speaker 1: climbing the corporate letter or this is the position or
- 7:15Speaker 1: you all, that's fine and then it. Please hold on
- 7:19Speaker 1: to your dreams. Dreams come true. But in the meantime,
- 7:25Speaker 1: let me remind you of something that you gotta do
- 7:28Speaker 1: some things you don't want to do. In order to
- 7:31Speaker 1: do what you want to do. You must get this
- 7:35Speaker 1: in your head. There are some survival things that you
- 7:38Speaker 1: have to master in order to do what you wanna do.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Let's take it down. Let's say you want to be
- 7:46Speaker 1: rich and famous. Let's just say that's it for you.
- 7:49Speaker 1: That's it, and it's a lot of other ways of
- 7:51Speaker 1: being successful. Please don't think that's the only one. But
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'm just saying, let's just say yours is rich and famous,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and let's say some miraculous way God made you rich
- 8:00Speaker 1: and famous. Next Friday, y'all, you're rich and you famous.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Next Friday, can I share something with you? This is
- 8:09Speaker 1: not going to last for you. You know why because
- 8:12Speaker 1: you have not done the things necessary. You have not
- 8:17Speaker 1: done the things that you have to do in order
- 8:21Speaker 1: to do the things you want. So now you're rich
- 8:23Speaker 1: and famous, how you gonna know how to budget money?
- 8:29Speaker 1: How are you gonna know how to get up and
- 8:31Speaker 1: keep calling towards the top when you fall off your pedestal?
- 8:35Speaker 1: How are you gonna know how to reinvent yourself if
- 8:37Speaker 1: you didn't even invent yourself in the first place. See,
- 8:41Speaker 1: it's so many things. You got to know about something,
- 8:44Speaker 1: and you think because it's what you want right now,
- 8:47Speaker 1: it's supposed to happen just now. It's a process when
- 8:49Speaker 1: you ask God for something. Please, no, God know the process.
- 8:54Speaker 1: He know the necessary steps to take you through. Don't
- 8:57Speaker 1: lose your patience with God because your dream is ain't
- 9:00Speaker 1: coming true right now? Man? You know, you know, I
- 9:05Speaker 1: think the best way y'all is is for me. I
- 9:07Speaker 1: just used myself as an example. I really do understand
- 9:11Speaker 1: why God has given me the life he's given me
- 9:13Speaker 1: so far. I understand that being home this part. Now
- 9:16Speaker 1: I get the not being successful when I wanted to part.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Now I get it. I got the delayed entry into
- 9:23Speaker 1: the field of choice for myself. I got it now.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I've been wanting to be on TV and a little
- 9:29Speaker 1: comedian since I was nine years old. But guess what,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I didn't get there until I was twenty eight. But
- 9:35Speaker 1: see I didn't get it then I was mad at God.
- 9:37Speaker 1: You know what I won't not sending here here I
- 9:40Speaker 1: got exactly what you want. But I got this process.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I want you to go through to get here too,
- 9:45Speaker 1: because see I'm finn to take you somewhere. You don't
- 9:47Speaker 1: know nothing, But one day you're gonna have a radio
- 9:49Speaker 1: show with You're a little stupid behind. You don't know.
- 9:51Speaker 1: This year, I'm gonna bless you with a radio show.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You don't even know it. That's why I say every morning,
- 9:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, because see I didn't.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I didn't see this one coming. But see God had
- 10:01Speaker 1: a plan for me. It was in the blueprint of
- 10:03Speaker 1: my life. So God said, what I'm gonna do is,
- 10:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna make your life a little rough for you.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna toss you up a little bit. I'm I'm
- 10:12Speaker 1: gonna let you make some of these stupid decisions you
- 10:14Speaker 1: wanna make it. I'm gonna make you learn from him.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm i'm I'm gonna let you be homeless for a
- 10:19Speaker 1: little while. I'ma I'm gonna let you not get into
- 10:21Speaker 1: your field of choice until your twenty eight. I'm gonna
- 10:24Speaker 1: have people talk about if we had only seen him
- 10:26Speaker 1: when he was younger. I ain't gonna let you get
- 10:28Speaker 1: your first call your name to your third y eight.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna make you go through some things because one
- 10:33Speaker 1: day I'm gonna put a microphone in front of your mouth,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and I want you to honor me. I want you
- 10:38Speaker 1: to talk about me. I want you to tell people
- 10:41Speaker 1: what I bought you through. I want you to give
- 10:43Speaker 1: people inspirational moments where they can see that your life
- 10:47Speaker 1: was jacked up for a minute and I turned your
- 10:49Speaker 1: life around for you. That's God dealing with me. See.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So now I finally understand why I went through the
- 10:56Speaker 1: life I went through, so I could have something to say. See,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I ain't over here telling you about what I think
- 11:02Speaker 1: had happened. I'm telling you what I know can happen.
- 11:05Speaker 1: That God does make dreams come true, but sometimes it
- 11:08Speaker 1: take a minute. Sometimes you're gonna have to do some
- 11:11Speaker 1: things you don't want to do in order to do
- 11:13Speaker 1: what you wanna do. Yeah, I finally got on TV,
- 11:16Speaker 1: but I had to learn some things along the way. See,
- 11:19Speaker 1: maybe he waited for me to get some of these
- 11:22Speaker 1: messages for he gave me this gift that I want
- 11:24Speaker 1: so I would appreciate it more. See when you don't
- 11:26Speaker 1: get into comedy, when you to you twenty eight and
- 11:28Speaker 1: you've been wanting it since you nine, Now when you
- 11:31Speaker 1: get into it, you appreciate it more. Then. Guess what
- 11:33Speaker 1: I've been through so many struggles and a divorce, and
- 11:36Speaker 1: life had turned me around. So when I became homeless,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I still didn't give up because I had appreciated the
- 11:44Speaker 1: fact that it took me so long to get here
- 11:46Speaker 1: that nothing was gonna deter me. And he gave me
- 11:49Speaker 1: the fortitude and the strength to hang on in there.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Just don't leave him out the mix, okay, because you're
- 11:54Speaker 1: trying and do this by yourself. It ain't working for you,
- 11:57Speaker 1: all right? All that you, I'm gonna be tripping it day.
- 12:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 12:10Speaker 1: monkey trainers, tour GUIDs, bust drivers, gorilla maintenance, the dudes
- 12:24Speaker 1: that drop off port of potties, everybody wastes management, the
- 12:33Speaker 1: people down at the post office that sought the mail,
- 12:39Speaker 1: the fire department, the dude that is in fire department
- 12:43Speaker 1: school now, the one that couldn't drag the hundred and
- 12:48Speaker 1: eighty five pound dummy across the parking lot and failed
- 12:51Speaker 1: to test the latter operator on the fire truck. You
- 12:59Speaker 1: go sit on the back, big dude that hit the
- 13:02Speaker 1: button for the siren. Who I always wanted to be
- 13:08Speaker 1: man if I could just find this damn But and

- 13:55Speaker 1: can't stay nowhere long because there's too many steps. He

- 14:31Speaker 1: of talked about you a little bit. They do me
- 14:33Speaker 1: when I Yeah, that's what we do. So I know that,
- 14:37Speaker 1: especially a little shot. That's what they do. Yeah, I've
- 14:40Speaker 1: heard him do it. Midge Man. I call him Midge
- 14:45Speaker 1: man in my g Midge yeah in his face. Yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you really don't care. You know, I tried. My goal
- 14:55Speaker 1: is to hurt you. What has he done? Trying to
- 14:59Speaker 1: stank because I know what the root of all of
- 15:02Speaker 1: it is y'all don't know this go back years well
- 15:06Speaker 1: jealous while he's not here so well, you know, just
- 15:08Speaker 1: as a young child, you know, he was always jealous
- 15:10Speaker 1: of me because I was ten years older than him
- 15:12Speaker 1: and I could do stuff he couldn't do. But I
- 15:14Speaker 1: don't want to do what I do, but it couldn't
- 15:15Speaker 1: because he was stupid. But you hired him though, because
- 15:19Speaker 1: of my sister. You think for one minute, and my
- 15:21Speaker 1: sister didn't have him from one I would have never
- 15:33Speaker 1: talked to him. All right, it's time for something funny.
- 15:36Speaker 1: It is Friday, you guys, So when we come back,
- 15:39Speaker 1: we'll find out if you're superstitious or if you were
- 15:42Speaker 1: ever superstitious. Okay, we'll be back at thirty two after
- 15:46Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steven Show. Time for something funny.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Friday the thirteen, Happy Friday everyone, So, Steve, I I
- 15:56Speaker 1: gotta ask you, are you superstitious or have you ever
- 15:59Speaker 1: been super No? I'm not superstitious. The only thing that
- 16:02Speaker 1: I adhered to is before show, I have a ritual,
- 16:06Speaker 1: say ritual, But I'm not superstitious, like I split poles
- 16:10Speaker 1: breaking mirrors about that a black ass can? I'm with you, Steve,
- 16:17Speaker 1: on that one. No, I ain't got no time for that. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 1: well it does take up a lot of your time.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Step on the crack in the side, yeah, don't break
- 16:28Speaker 1: a mirror, don't put u don't running the house and
- 16:32Speaker 1: scissors bad luck. Don't step on the sweeping with the
- 16:37Speaker 1: all that's bad luck. Just telling you what's bad luck.
- 16:42Speaker 1: You're superstitious, they and religious so at the same time.
- 16:51Speaker 1: So I got all that's going on in my that's
- 16:55Speaker 1: scary and superstitious. Okay, So what's the thing with the scissors, Jay,
- 17:01Speaker 1: that's bad luck. You can't run with scissors in hand,
- 17:03Speaker 1: it's bad luck. Isn't there one about the ladder? If
- 17:05Speaker 1: you don't don't walk under the ladder, that's bad luck.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I have to throw something mouse out here before I
- 17:09Speaker 1: forgot it because kids, our main guy, Brian just walked in.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I just want to let you ladies know that tomorrow's
- 17:16Speaker 1: uh killing and Sad is at my house. So out
- 17:23Speaker 1: So it's Kire is coming. How are you kill thirty nine?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Brian's thirty nine and he coming and will will be there.
- 17:33Speaker 1: He's fifty. That's the work out, the moment that coming
- 17:36Speaker 1: to the work So you'll see general generation. You have
- 17:42Speaker 1: a trainer, you guys do also training. He'll be there.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He gonna set it up, and everybody got to go
- 17:47Speaker 1: through the because you're trying to get what boat hashtag
- 17:51Speaker 1: boat body. I didn't hear Jay. I already know we
- 17:58Speaker 1: are here. I know I'm not gonna do. You know
- 18:00Speaker 1: he's not gonna die in my y'all workouts just bad luck.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That's why you can't do. I'm just sticking it out.
- 18:13Speaker 1: That workouts is bad that I ain't been. What time
- 18:18Speaker 1: are you guys gonna be working out? Because I would
- 18:20Speaker 1: like you bring a snack and watch that for entertainment. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 1: like watch Only only good part from me is I
- 18:31Speaker 1: get to see the house. Yeah to the house. Ain't
- 18:36Speaker 1: been over this one. It ain't nothing I talk about. Man,
- 18:43Speaker 1: Watch that. See everything in one room. Let's swamp houses
- 18:47Speaker 1: for week. See how you feel. You can see your
- 18:51Speaker 1: bad from the kitchen, my smaller than that, everything touching.
- 19:00Speaker 1: We were somewhere and we were in those hotel Alabama,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and I was so mad. I was sitting on my bed.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I could hang up my clothes, turn on my TV,
- 19:16Speaker 1: washed my feet and flushed the tarlet without getting off
- 19:20Speaker 1: the baby. He did all that stuff with his toes.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I could wash my turn on the TV, shut the drakes,
- 19:32Speaker 1: hang up my clothes, and flushed the tarlet without leaving
- 19:36Speaker 1: my bed. I saw everything. I was so stirred. That's
- 19:41Speaker 1: the W hotel. If that's not the small they have
- 19:44Speaker 1: the smallest damn rooms. The wh oh the ws ain't bad.
- 19:53Speaker 1: They got some great properties behind the country. It's uh now,
- 19:59Speaker 1: it wasn't even know it was a boutique hotel supposed
- 20:02Speaker 1: to be. I don't know. It wasn't an Embassy Sweet.
- 20:04Speaker 1: It wouldn't even Embassy Sweet one time. Actually, I just
- 20:11Speaker 1: don't like the fact that you can see everybody going
- 20:13Speaker 1: to that damn the window. I don't like the I
- 20:19Speaker 1: don't like my door facing another door across the atrium. Hey,
- 20:24Speaker 1: remember the rooms we used to being on the road.
- 20:25Speaker 1: When you walked out of the door, the door, you're
- 20:29Speaker 1: not you see highway. Remember you out the door and
- 20:36Speaker 1: it would be highway. Then you're just getting your car
- 20:41Speaker 1: right in front of your room. So my specialty was
- 20:44Speaker 1: staying at night's ends. That was my favorite room whenever
- 20:47Speaker 1: I could afford. It was purple and I could back
- 20:54Speaker 1: my trunk up over the sidewalk, damn near at my
- 20:59Speaker 1: door so I could I could work out my trunk
- 21:05Speaker 1: like the Lincoln lawyers. And uh now, I hate it,
- 21:11Speaker 1: hated motail six out on the road because out on
- 21:15Speaker 1: the road where the trucker's stopping all like that, you
- 21:19Speaker 1: would go in your room and there would be no towels,
- 21:21Speaker 1: no washcloth, no soap, no nothing. If you wanted it,
- 21:25Speaker 1: you had to come down and turn in your driver's license.

- 31:49Speaker 1: She's a five time Grammy Award winner, of course, and
- 31:51Speaker 1: she says that she was first diagnosed back in two
- 31:54Speaker 1: thousand one, wow, seventeen years ago. Yeah. She said that
- 32:00Speaker 1: she didn't want to believe it. She didn't want to
- 32:02Speaker 1: carry around the stigma of a lifelong disease that would
- 32:06Speaker 1: define her and potentially UH and her be the end
- 32:09Speaker 1: of her career. She's recently stated, UM, she's recently started
- 32:13Speaker 1: receiving treatment because she was afraid of losing everything, and
- 32:17Speaker 1: she was concerned that someone in her orbit would tell
- 32:20Speaker 1: her story for her, so she wanted to be the
- 32:22Speaker 1: first one to get it out to somebody whatever, but
- 32:25Speaker 1: around her. You know, like if something was wrong with you,
- 32:28Speaker 1: then one of us went to the press and told
- 32:31Speaker 1: instead un to conversation, go down there with your uncle
- 32:37Speaker 1: Tom Man, tell me something else, like I need to
- 32:40Speaker 1: be on the checkout count, or go down there and
- 32:42Speaker 1: tell you something else about me if you want to
- 32:44Speaker 1: for a check with your line self. So that's why
- 32:47Speaker 1: that's what happens to me. Yeah, that's why Mariah told
- 32:50Speaker 1: it herself, so no one in her orbit would tell her.
- 32:53Speaker 1: And I could have helped Mara because I've been around him.
- 32:56Speaker 1: What do you mean you could have helped her? I
- 32:57Speaker 1: could have died. You can be a doctor, Steve, you know,
- 33:02Speaker 1: damn doctor. I didn't lived it, So you mean you
- 33:05Speaker 1: could tell that? Hell? Yeah, so it's not a surprise
- 33:09Speaker 1: to you. What it was a shot to everyone that
- 33:12Speaker 1: she admitted that Nick bipolar? What Nick new? Did I
- 33:20Speaker 1: say something wrong? Agize at Nick? I bet that Nick new? What? Anyway?

- 33:39Speaker 1: with that right there. I've been around all that my
- 33:42Speaker 1: whole life. Yeah, what what do you? You've been around
- 33:45Speaker 1: people with bipolar? Yeah, I've been everything, but you won't
- 33:51Speaker 1: bipolar crazy, yeah, insensitive crazy diagnos all that for you?
- 33:58Speaker 1: What else? Names something mel My sister had by polard two.
- 34:02Speaker 1: She cured of it now though, called my mama to
- 34:05Speaker 1: be word and that was that was I need to
- 34:09Speaker 1: know my mama could fight, right so she so whatever
- 34:11Speaker 1: you turned into by didn't come up no more. She
- 34:16Speaker 1: woke up there, who are you now? I'm just poling.
- 34:21Speaker 1: She slapped them by out of me, She slapt both
- 34:24Speaker 1: of them. She don't even come by no more. Yeah,
- 34:30Speaker 1: I'm just polo. You called me polar bear, polar, Arctic,
- 34:35Speaker 1: polar generation, you called me polars, you called me the
- 34:38Speaker 1: polar's own. Call me by because I messed around to
- 34:45Speaker 1: called my mama to be word and by it's gone. Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I think I think we handled things like that differently,
- 34:53Speaker 1: at least as we did back in the day. Now
- 34:56Speaker 1: there's mads for it. But yeah, yeah mad yeah, Oh
- 35:01Speaker 1: we didn't get no man. A lot of stuff that
- 35:04Speaker 1: was back in the would beat at you. Yeah, it
- 35:08Speaker 1: would be at you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know the
- 35:12Speaker 1: being I had a couple of things that had been
- 35:14Speaker 1: diagnosed with. My son was diagnosed with a d h D. Yeah,
- 35:20Speaker 1: that's a hyperactive disorder. He don't have that normal. If
- 35:24Speaker 1: I had to go up to the school take off scream, well,
- 35:27Speaker 1: he don't have that normal. He's all of a sudden.
- 35:31Speaker 1: He had it on Friday. He went back Monday. And
- 35:36Speaker 1: Maria Carrey says she's in a good place right now.
- 35:38Speaker 1: She's exercising, she's getting accupuncture, she's eating healthy, and she's
- 35:42Speaker 1: spending quality time. That's good for her. All right. Steve
- 35:49Speaker 1: mrs Anna is here with an update on the confirmation
- 35:51Speaker 1: hearing President Trump's Secretary of State pick, Mike Pompeo, former
- 35:56Speaker 1: CIA director. Please introduce my sand Ladies and gentlemen. She's
- 36:00Speaker 1: here with the next person that will be fired from
- 36:02Speaker 1: the Trump adminished miss Money. It's come to that, right right, everybody,
- 36:11Speaker 1: This is a trip with the news. Yes, we're gonna
- 36:13Speaker 1: work our way into that. We're gonna talk about the
- 36:15Speaker 1: President and Mike pump pal. Let's start with President Trump,
- 36:18Speaker 1: who tweets that he held a number of meetings yesterday
- 36:20Speaker 1: on Syria following the suspected chemical weapons attacking civilians there
- 36:24Speaker 1: over the weekend. Trump sales there will be a decision
- 36:27Speaker 1: on a responsible kind of response he wants to take soon. Meanwhile, though,
- 36:30Speaker 1: this is Donald Trump, so he's doing a little chest thumping.
- 36:32Speaker 1: We're going to have the strongest military that we've ever had,
- 36:36Speaker 1: and can you think of a better time to have it? Right?
- 36:39Speaker 1: This is when. At the same time, though, yesterday, the
- 36:42Speaker 1: Center Farm Relations Committee did open its confirmation hearings for
- 36:45Speaker 1: Trump's choice for Secretary State, the current CIA director, Mom Pompeo,
- 36:49Speaker 1: Mike Pompeo, who says, by the way that even though
- 36:52Speaker 1: he's considered a hawk and a real hardliner, he insists
- 36:55Speaker 1: he's not the type to go blindly marching into conflict.
- 36:58Speaker 1: There's no one like someone who served in you form
- 37:00Speaker 1: who understands the value of displomacy and the terror and
- 37:03Speaker 1: tragedy that is war, like someone who served in uniform.
- 37:07Speaker 1: It's the last resort. It must always be so, and
- 37:10Speaker 1: I intend to work to achieve the President's policies with
- 37:13Speaker 1: diplomacy rather by sending our young men and women to war.
- 37:17Speaker 1: There are some Democrats who are already a blocking him.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Some Republicans also a little word leary about him. We'll
- 37:21Speaker 1: see what happens. Winnie Mandela is being funeralized in South
- 37:25Speaker 1: Africa tomorrow. Winnie Mandela took the stories of her husband,
- 37:27Speaker 1: Nelson and other Antipartheite activists to the whole world. In
- 37:31Speaker 1: so doing, she became the face of the movement. She
- 37:34Speaker 1: was mercilessly per persecuted by the white racist government. They
- 37:37Speaker 1: jailed her one time. They placed her under house arrest
- 37:40Speaker 1: for most of her time. Her home was shot out
- 37:42Speaker 1: at night and she had her children and there also
- 37:44Speaker 1: they would shoot in there. Much later in life, she
- 37:46Speaker 1: was convicted in connection with the kidnapping of a young
- 37:48Speaker 1: man who was considered an informant, but most South Africans
- 37:51Speaker 1: still call her the mother of the nation. In a
- 37:53Speaker 1: televised tribute earlier this week, South African President Cyril Ramaposa
- 37:57Speaker 1: called Winnie Mandela champion of justice and a voice for
- 38:00Speaker 1: the voiceless. Nelson Mandela died in By the way, there's
- 38:03Speaker 1: a picture of me with Winnie Mandela, her daughter and
- 38:05Speaker 1: a local reporter in her home in swato a few
- 38:08Speaker 1: years back. It's on my Facebook page, so check it out. Yes,
- 38:10Speaker 1: I have a Facebook page. Okay. The bridge that connects
- 38:13Speaker 1: Highway seventeen to Savannah's name, the Eugene Talmadge Bridge, Well,
- 38:17Speaker 1: the Girls has want to change that because Salwidge was
- 38:18Speaker 1: a prominent segregation. If they want the name of the
- 38:21Speaker 1: founder of the Girl Scouts of Juliet, Gordon Lowe on that,
- 38:23Speaker 1: she's also a Savannah Nada. Finally here in the States
- 38:26Speaker 1: today is Louis, Louis, and we'll be back with more
- 38:30Speaker 1: entertainment Today's trending topics. Twenty minute after the hour of
- 38:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 38:36Speaker 1: yeah yeah, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 38:41Speaker 1: as we told you before, Tristan Thompson, boy is he
- 38:44Speaker 1: in a lot of trouble. He was apparently caught on
- 38:46Speaker 1: tape cheating on Chloe Kardashian. Now, sources are saying that
- 38:50Speaker 1: Chloe is trying to figure out just what to do.
- 38:52Speaker 1: She wanted to believe Tristan. Do you see the video.
- 38:59Speaker 1: She wanted to believe him when he told her that
- 39:01Speaker 1: he'd only met the woman at a club and nothing happened.
- 39:05Speaker 1: But his story has changed. Boy has hit changed, especially
- 39:09Speaker 1: after the pictures and the video started servicing, and Chloe
- 39:12Speaker 1: is understandably said to be an absolute turmoil. According to
- 39:16Speaker 1: another source close to the family, Chloe was devastated when
- 39:19Speaker 1: she saw the pictures. She went absolutely ballistic on Tristan.
- 39:23Speaker 1: She's not only hurt, she is humiliated and and she's
- 39:27Speaker 1: worried now for her baby. You know, how can he
- 39:30Speaker 1: do this and how can he do it so publicly? Tristan? Um, Wow,
- 39:34Speaker 1: he got booed at the Cleveland Cavalier's game the other
- 39:37Speaker 1: night and yeah, yeah, because they're mad at him for
- 39:41Speaker 1: doing that. She's give birth and here you are. Yeah,
- 39:45Speaker 1: you know, man, it's not it's not a good thing.
- 39:47Speaker 1: And I feel so for her. She's such a sweet person. Yeah,
- 39:52Speaker 1: she's a really really nice person. So, uh, the NBA
- 39:57Speaker 1: playoffs start this weekend. Yeah, so congratulations to our girl Chloe.
- 40:03Speaker 1: She did have the baby yesterday, early yesterday, about four
- 40:06Speaker 1: in the morning. Uh, healthy baby, So congratulations again. Her
- 40:11Speaker 1: mom was there, Chris Courtney, her sister, uh Kim, and
- 40:16Speaker 1: of course her best friend Malika, and guess who else
- 40:18Speaker 1: was there baby daddy Tristan Thompson. So the whole family
- 40:23Speaker 1: was there, and we're there. They're a very close knit
- 40:25Speaker 1: family right now. You know, it's just about the baby.
- 40:30Speaker 1: It's just about the beautiful blessing that God has blessed
- 40:33Speaker 1: them with. So congratulations to the Kardashians and to Chloe
- 40:37Speaker 1: and Tristan Thompson. Tristan's rebounds is down to Catt has
- 40:45Speaker 1: already called the turn our very own. Mississippi. Monica did
- 40:51Speaker 1: a tour of the brand new Mississippi Civil Rights Museum
- 40:54Speaker 1: in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi, and the BB King

- 41:04Speaker 1: The videos are available on Steve Harvey FM, so go
- 41:08Speaker 1: check them out. The Mississippi Civil Rights Museum gives a
- 41:11Speaker 1: compelling look into the birthplace of civil rights movement, and
- 41:15Speaker 1: of course, the legendary BB King's Museum is a Mussie,
- 41:20Speaker 1: It definitely is. So check out the videos. That's Steve
- 41:23Speaker 1: Harvey sm dot com. The video series is called On
- 41:27Speaker 1: the Road with Monica Barnes. They should have said on
- 41:30Speaker 1: the Road with Mississippi Monica. Yeah go Monica, keep easya.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four after the hour, j Anthony
- 41:39Speaker 1: Brown is here to do what murder? Another hit Yes,
- 41:44Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 41:48Speaker 1: in thirty minutes. Uh, Today's crazy Strawberry Letter. But before
- 41:52Speaker 1: we even get to that, j Anthony Brown has to
- 41:55Speaker 1: murder another hit. But Steve, before we get to the hit,
- 41:58Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you something Jay said earlier. He
- 42:01Speaker 1: said he tells a woman he's going to date right
- 42:04Speaker 1: away out of the gate that he's not going to
- 42:07Speaker 1: be worth a darn. No, No, I don't really put
- 42:09Speaker 1: it like that. I'm just saying I'm not looking for
- 42:11Speaker 1: a seriously, that's what it means. Well, but here's a deal, Steve.
- 42:15Speaker 1: That's what I want to ask you, Steve. Do you
- 42:17Speaker 1: recommend that approach for women? Do you listen to me? Yes?
- 42:21Speaker 1: But me and are not going to do that because
- 42:23Speaker 1: me and are trappers, me and a hunters. And so
- 42:27Speaker 1: what we do is we know what you want to hear,
- 42:30Speaker 1: so we say the things you want to hear to
- 42:33Speaker 1: get the things that we want. Example, so a woman says,
- 42:37Speaker 1: how did what type of relationship are you looking for?
- 42:40Speaker 1: He says, I'm looking for something serious. I want to
- 42:43Speaker 1: settle down. I want a wife and kids someday. And
- 42:48Speaker 1: then no, that's a true statement. But the woman goes, wow,
- 42:53Speaker 1: he's looking for that now and he wants that with me.
- 42:58Speaker 1: But that's not what he says it. You're exactly right.
- 43:01Speaker 1: He told you what you wanted to hear. Now, down
- 43:03Speaker 1: the road, he may want a family, he may want
- 43:05Speaker 1: to settle down, he may want to be in a
- 43:07Speaker 1: committee relationship, and that's what he's looking for. But right
- 43:12Speaker 1: now we're just looking. And so when you hear that,
- 43:16Speaker 1: a woman plugs herself into the situation as that while
- 43:20Speaker 1: I'm that woman he's looking for, because those are the
- 43:23Speaker 1: same things I want. Girl out and met him. Girl.
- 43:27Speaker 1: He want to get married, he want to have kids
- 43:30Speaker 1: and a family. Here's the problem, lady, He said all
- 43:33Speaker 1: of that number one. But here's the problem. He did
- 43:37Speaker 1: not say he wanted that with you. He just said
- 43:42Speaker 1: he was looking for alright, So okay, so we might
- 43:46Speaker 1: continue this throughout the morning. This is good, all right?
- 43:48Speaker 1: Come on, Jay, ladies and gentlemen. J F. Nick Brown,
- 43:55Speaker 1: what help right now? You need to get your tickets. Columbia,
- 44:01Speaker 1: South Carolina township out of Thorium. Damn it, you're mad.
- 44:08Speaker 1: You're going to the township in the house. I'm going
- 44:11Speaker 1: to the house man, I just sold the township. I'll
- 44:13Speaker 1: probably three to help me sell it out. What going
- 44:17Speaker 1: to the township? Township out of tour different from where
- 44:21Speaker 1: Tommy go out of this. This has nothing to do
- 44:25Speaker 1: with Tommy, since we since we're talking about lies. The
- 44:35Speaker 1: songs dedicated to men, and I ain't calling no names
- 44:38Speaker 1: who look in the mirror and lie to themselves. Hit
- 44:42Speaker 1: it ye, sitting in my favorite easy chap looking at
- 45:03Speaker 1: O picks of me, thinking about the times when days
- 45:08Speaker 1: were good, like back in eighty three. Now I had
- 45:13Speaker 1: a feet and it was nice and round. Man, the
- 45:16Speaker 1: cut was really late. Rushes and my cones I don't
- 45:22Speaker 1: use anymore. I put them away. Now everyone sees it
- 45:30Speaker 1: got away from me. The shampoo's gone gone. It made
- 45:37Speaker 1: me want to murder. The song I really miss you
- 45:42Speaker 1: heirline was shot to put your back on, back on.
- 45:47Speaker 1: I look in the mirror, you're gone. I really miss you,
- 45:56Speaker 1: missing you every day every day. I hate that you
- 46:01Speaker 1: win a way because I'm minch Helen really miss you.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I hate that you win away. We gotta go really
- 46:19Speaker 1: mish you lin Junior Baby, we do the damn all
- 46:31Speaker 1: right when we come back. Thank you Jay. That was great.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy is not here, Steve, Uncle Steve is he'll
- 46:37Speaker 1: introduce the prank phone call right after this. You're listening
- 46:41Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up in about
- 46:44Speaker 1: an hour. Our special guest will be the one and
- 46:47Speaker 1: only Snoop Dog. Yeah. Snoop is gonna be here our
- 46:52Speaker 1: special guests. Yeah, they're talking about his brand new album,
- 46:55Speaker 1: Bible of Love. But up next, Like we mentioned, the
- 46:57Speaker 1: nephew is out today, but his uncle Steve is here
- 47:00Speaker 1: to introduce the prank phone call. What you got? Your
- 47:03Speaker 1: son ain't make the team. That's all he needs to say.
- 47:10Speaker 1: All you want to be doing like him? Y'all ready
- 47:12Speaker 1: for your son make the team? I said, your son
- 47:24Speaker 1: ain't make the team. Put you back into it. Yeah. Hello, Hello,
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Ms Lillio. This is she. This
- 47:38Speaker 1: is coach Watkins up at the up at the school.
- 47:40Speaker 1: How are you hey, Coach Watkins? I'm fine? What can
- 47:43Speaker 1: I do for you? Listen? Um, We've had Malik out
- 47:46Speaker 1: for the last week and a half. He's been coming
- 47:48Speaker 1: to practice here at the at the Junior High School
- 47:52Speaker 1: and wanted to reach out and give you a call
- 47:54Speaker 1: about everything. That's going on. Oh yeah, well, I know
- 47:57Speaker 1: he's really excited. He can't wait to start the season.
- 47:59Speaker 1: He's he's ready. You know what, I'll be honest with you.
- 48:03Speaker 1: He's a great kid, and uh, he's got a good heart,
- 48:07Speaker 1: and he's really really really trying and trying to produce
- 48:11Speaker 1: as much as possible. Well, you know, he loves the
- 48:13Speaker 1: game and he's been playing since he was a little kid.
- 48:15Speaker 1: He yeah, yeah, and you know this is uh, you know,
- 48:19Speaker 1: this is the seventh grade. This is the first time
- 48:22Speaker 1: some of these kids have played um organized football, and
- 48:25Speaker 1: this is the first time playing school football. And it's
- 48:28Speaker 1: it's a big it's a big transition that if you've
- 48:30Speaker 1: been playing Little League ball or Pop Warner or whatever
- 48:33Speaker 1: you want to call it. It's a it's a big difference,
- 48:35Speaker 1: in a big transition to go from one to the other.
- 48:38Speaker 1: You understand, Yeah, I do understand. But Malik has been
- 48:41Speaker 1: working really hard, yes, and he's ready. Well, well, well,
- 48:43Speaker 1: let me let me say this. My main reason for
- 48:46Speaker 1: calling you is letting you know that Malik as a
- 48:49Speaker 1: right now is not going to be able to make
- 48:52Speaker 1: the cut. As far as he's not gonna be able
- 48:57Speaker 1: to make the cut as far as being on the
- 48:59Speaker 1: team for this year. Now, I got a minute. You said, wait, wait,
- 49:05Speaker 1: you said that Malif he's not gonna be at to
- 49:07Speaker 1: make the team. It's not gonna make the team. He's
- 49:11Speaker 1: a great kid, you know, he's a great know he's
- 49:14Speaker 1: a great kid. But waitman, Now, he didn't play proper
- 49:17Speaker 1: warner and he was a starting quarterback, So what are
- 49:20Speaker 1: you talking about. He's not gonna make the team this year.
- 49:22Speaker 1: He was the best toy had out on that squad. Okay,
- 49:25Speaker 1: and you know what I've I've heard a lot about him.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I helread he did a great job and about him.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Wait a minute. Have you seen his
- 49:31Speaker 1: start twenty touchdowns in the season. Understand, the kids is
- 49:35Speaker 1: out there doing that. But you know what, but right now,
- 49:38Speaker 1: we've got a lot of different kids that are coming
- 49:40Speaker 1: into this particular school, so you know, the competition has
- 49:44Speaker 1: gone greater and greater than what we could possibly understand.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Wait a minute, women, this is seventh grade. First of all,
- 49:50Speaker 1: everybody makes the team. Nobody gets cut in the first place.
- 49:53Speaker 1: You got an A team and the B team, So
- 49:55Speaker 1: you're telling me my baby ain't made none of them teams? Right, right?
- 49:58Speaker 1: Now ms lyddy. Uh you know, uh Malick, Like I said,
- 50:03Speaker 1: Malik is a great kid. I like it. I know
- 50:05Speaker 1: what Malick is. I know that he's a great kid
- 50:07Speaker 1: and he's a ball player. Now I make sure that
- 50:10Speaker 1: so don't come telling me that he's not good enough
- 50:12Speaker 1: to make the cut on on this seventh great team. Well,
- 50:15Speaker 1: I'm telling me who who is the quarterback? Who? Yeah,
- 50:18Speaker 1: you tell me what's going on? Who is the quarterback? Well? Actually,
- 50:21Speaker 1: right now, my my my my son is the quarterback,
- 50:24Speaker 1: your son, But well, I don't actually the quarterback. He
- 50:31Speaker 1: hasn't done any pop warn or anything, but he really
- 50:35Speaker 1: has what it takes to be never played football before
- 50:38Speaker 1: and or he's never played organized football, but he he's
- 50:42Speaker 1: gonna be the quarterback for the seventh Greate team. Is
- 50:45Speaker 1: that what you're telling me? Well, yeah, my son is
- 50:47Speaker 1: actually starting quarterback, but that my sons don't make the
- 50:51Speaker 1: team and my son scored touch down touchdown? Is that
- 50:56Speaker 1: what you're telling me? Hell no, I'm calling up to
- 50:59Speaker 1: that tomorrow. I will be up there tomorrow. Wasn't listening
- 51:03Speaker 1: to me explain something of my word? No? No, no, no, no,
- 51:08Speaker 1: no no no, I don't know what this is it's
- 51:10Speaker 1: nepotism or whateverything you got going on around here. But
- 51:13Speaker 1: hell no, Mata, ain't Nathan what. Hell no, you're gonna
- 51:19Speaker 1: be smoking the city to morrow when I get up there,
- 51:22Speaker 1: ms Lydia. What I want to say this is this,
- 51:25Speaker 1: if your son would take a year off, lord and
- 51:27Speaker 1: try to get itself together and get his fundamentals together together,
- 51:33Speaker 1: a greater football player when he gets to be headed
- 51:36Speaker 1: to the eighth grade. Was the riding star last year.
- 51:38Speaker 1: What's you going about this fundamental together? Yo? Saying ain't
- 51:41Speaker 1: never even prod. But you know what I've I've worked
- 51:44Speaker 1: with my son and you know, and it's a little
- 51:46Speaker 1: on it's a little awkward for me to try to
- 51:48Speaker 1: talk about what my son has done. Yere's gonna be
- 51:51Speaker 1: hard for you to talk about because you don't know
- 51:53Speaker 1: what your son is done, because ain't nobody ever seen
- 51:55Speaker 1: your son. You just got this dream probably something that
- 51:57Speaker 1: you ain't did you want to live by cares to him?
- 52:00Speaker 1: Hell no, that sounds about it like little school. I
- 52:05Speaker 1: played in high school. And let me say this, I'm
- 52:08Speaker 1: trying to do the best that I can and the
- 52:09Speaker 1: best of my ability to make sure that everybody gets
- 52:12Speaker 1: a good and fair shot at what's going on, but
- 52:15Speaker 1: he don't get to play. So what about didn't get
- 52:19Speaker 1: the players? Probably he'll work out better. Show that to
- 52:24Speaker 1: the mother mothers. That's some boy. I bet you. I
- 52:26Speaker 1: guarantee you this my son and be starting this year.
- 52:28Speaker 1: I guarantee you this. You don't want that. It is
- 52:30Speaker 1: okay right now. All I can say is I need
- 52:34Speaker 1: Molick to actually bring his cliques back because my son's
- 52:37Speaker 1: gonna need him to play in what him clea your
- 52:42Speaker 1: son again, he'll some I'm running down that field. He
- 52:44Speaker 1: gonna rust barefoot. He ain't get mine nothing, man, from
- 52:49Speaker 1: my records. Understanding is that the clicks actually came the
- 52:53Speaker 1: one that told you that my son can't fight your
- 52:56Speaker 1: record zation. Everybody thinking about your records, your mama and
- 53:00Speaker 1: the day she bush your man. I'm not gonna sit
- 53:03Speaker 1: in and go back and forth with you. All I'm
- 53:05Speaker 1: trying to say is this that Malaguna is about to do.
- 53:09Speaker 1: You start looking for a new get your resume together.
- 53:12Speaker 1: If you know what, ma'am, I'm not gonna go back
- 53:13Speaker 1: and for I got one more thing I need to
- 53:15Speaker 1: say to you. Nothing that you ain't you ain't got
- 53:18Speaker 1: nothing else to say to me? My son to be playing,
- 53:21Speaker 1: and I'll be up there tomorrow. I have one more
- 53:23Speaker 1: thing I need to say to you or you listen.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Only thing you need to tell me who I need
- 53:27Speaker 1: to talk to tomorrow. Now, I'll let you know that
- 53:30Speaker 1: as soon as I tell you this are you're listening to?
- 53:32Speaker 1: I'm listening. What this is? Nephew, Tommy from the Steve
- 53:36Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Your sister ain'ta got me to prank
- 53:41Speaker 1: phone call? You know I'm gonna take the man. I

- 56:05Speaker 1: And what is this now? He's gonna be doing some
- 56:07Speaker 1: stuff with hockey? Hockey? Really? Yeah? Ever wonder how the
- 56:15Speaker 1: game of hockey actually works well? There are reports that
- 56:18Speaker 1: the NHL has tapped Snoop to star in a series
- 56:22Speaker 1: of video tutorials breaking down the rules. I cannot wait
- 56:27Speaker 1: breaking down the rules, the terminology, and other fundamentals for
- 56:31Speaker 1: potential fans. The first Yeah, you're sliding up the court
- 56:37Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, no the pump and you

- 1:00:04Speaker 1: is put a strawberry. Let me just say for the record,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I hate all of you right now. Subjects empty promises,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Dear Shirley Strawberry, I have been dating this guy's a
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: whole lot of empty promises. I let him in my life.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: He had potential in parentheses, nice looking in school, recently
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: obtained his master's in parentheses, hard working at one time,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: held down two jobs, had his own place at one
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: time I had the keep. Then along comes a b
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: f F, a best friend forever from New Jersey, and
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: he took the key back. And then then they moved
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: in to a two bedroom apartment. I met all his buddies,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I met his family, the kids and all. He was
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: around my daughter, who was now eight years old, when
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: my cousin died last year. He was there for me,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: He met my whole family. Sounds like I have a book. Um,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: it sounds like I have the book. Think like a man,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: act like a lady. Uh showed so much potential. We
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: even talked marriage. Now since the degree has come, he
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: has a different swagger about himself and says he needs
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: uh time to himself. We all know what that means.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I gave him my all. I was there for him
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: when he didn't have any transportation. Now that I am struggling,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: he leaves me out in the cold. I know I
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: am old enough just to let go and pray about it,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: but it just hurts. Oh yeah, he is forty two
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: years old and his roommate is forty three. What should
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I do. I know you're going to say, Steve, just
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: let go. I know, I know signed a lot of
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: empty promises. Wow, this letter is a little confusing to me,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and it does sound like I'll just say this confusing
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: as it. Maybe it sounds like he's moved on. You
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: may have the book. Doesn't sound like you've read the book.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: To me. You say you let him in your life.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: You know you gave him You're all, as Steve has
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: said so many times on this show, on the air,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: and all through the book, what did you require of them?
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Of him? You talked about marriage? You know, where did
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: that go? I mean, was it just a talk? It
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: sounds like, um, you know he was just with you
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: until he got his degree, so you know he could
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: come up and then he moved out. You know you
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: said you try to talk to him. It's confusing because
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I don't know if his best friend forever as a male,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: if it's a female, if he's with the female and
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: they've hooked up. I'm confused on this letter, Steve, I'm
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: not confused alright. First of all, ma'am you wrong. I'm
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: not going to tell you to just let it go.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: So I'm gonna show you a side that sometimes I
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: don't get to show people. This is a recent letter. See,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: the problem with this is empty promises. Two things are
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: wrong when a guy is giving you empty promises. It's
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: really up to you to verify these promises. Do background
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: checks on these promises, get some these promises notarize, make
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: some of these promises actual AffA David's that always to
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: do it. You don't have to sit through a guy
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: giving you empty promise after empty promise. These are just
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: spoken words. You have to start requiring an action to
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: match the words. That way, the empty promise does not
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: become empty, but a fulfilled commitment, which is what the
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: majority of you are looking for. When we come back,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I will tell you how you get that done, ladies,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: But then I will also inform you something that you
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: may not have thought of. Very true. Cool. We have
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: after the hour. You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes, Snoop Dogg will be our
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: special guest. But come on, Steve with part two of
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: your response to today's Strawberry letter. Okay, here's his lady,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: A whole lot of empty promises. She led him in
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: the life. He had potential, nice looking in school, recently
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: obtained his master hard work and held out two jobs,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: had his own place at one time. She had the key.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Then comes along the best friend from New Jersey. He
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: took the key back. Then they moved into a two
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: bed room. I met all his buddies. I met his families,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: kids and all. He was around my daughter, who's now eight,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: when my cousin died leg she he was there for me.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I met my whole family. Sounds like I have a book.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Think like a lady, act like think like a man,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Act like a lady. Show so much potential. We even
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: talked marriage. And now since the degree has come, he
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: has a different swag about himself and said he need
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: time to himself. We all know what that means. I
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: gave him my hall. I was there for him when
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: he didn't have any transportation. Now I'm struggling and he
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: leaves me out in the cold. I know I'm old
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: enough to just let it go and pray about it,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: but it just hurts. Oh yeah, he's forty two years old.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: His roommate his forty three. What should I do? I
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: know what you're gonna see safety you just let it go.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I know I know something. Now I'm gonna tell you
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: let it go. I'm just gonna tell you how to
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: handle the problem. First of all, ladies, you do not
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: have to live your life from me and live with
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: empty promises. An empty promise can be checked by you.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: You have to take control of what you can control over.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: When a guy makes you a promise. Here's two things
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you need to know right away, right away, so so
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: it don't end up being an empty promise. First of all,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: you need the words to match up to an action.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: The words and the action that keeps it from being
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: empty now to get the promise out of it. And
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: there needs to be a timetable. See. Once you get
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: the words to back up to action, and then you
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: create a timetable for a man, you then alleviate empty promise.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: See do you understand? Does that not make sense? Okay? Cool? Now, ladies,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: here's the other part of it. It ain't always you Sometimes,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: no matter what you do, you just got the bad dude,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: the wrong dude. But now here's the buckler. I have
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: news for you. It sounds to me like yo man
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: is on the d l M. See that's why I
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: was saying it was confusing. Forty two year old dudes
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: don't go get roommates. Forty two year old men do
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: not go get roommates. We do not. I don't got
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: a buddy of mine know where forty don't took a
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: roommate in, took the key back from his girl. She
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: didn't say if it was a male or female. You know,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: took the key from the cookie, the giver of the cookie,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: and gave it to a dude. Okay, hold on, and
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: not them two forty two and forty three, somebody that
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: came out from his past that you didn't know about,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and that bel is them, them too. It's taken off,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: all right. See, we gotta go. You can email us
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: your Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's strawberry letter at
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: my girl surely and switching gears. Now, we just love
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: this story. This is great news about a single mom

- 1:09:02Speaker 1: mean I don't have a book, but I'm trying. I'm trying. Okay,

- 1:09:10Speaker 1: oh god, you say it now, I'll tell you who

- 1:09:21Speaker 1: so I'm thinking about miss for sure. She can get everybody,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I think without it now for the lawyer lation, yeah,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: that's her business though, right, well that's fair. Yeah, everybody
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: wants their money. So I just love this story though.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: I mean, anything is possible, never give up on your dreams.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: And she's only thirty three. She has her whole life
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: ahead of her, Yeah, creating that She's gonna specialize in
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: family and juvenile law. And she also wants to be

- 1:10:09Speaker 1: know she'll do it if she did this at this
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: age with all she had going on, you know, being
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: a judge, she'll she'll she'll do that like nothing. I mean,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: it would be hard, but you know what I mean. Wow,

- 1:11:10Speaker 1: know you heard about it and you bought it. Everybody
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: was about a surprise as we were. He has just

- 1:11:30Speaker 1: gonna talk about it, play some of the new music.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Please welcome the legend Snoop. Do what they're doing, my man,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: what's up? Boy? I can't complaint to do it seven
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: days some days with me and this boy go back
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: like Cadillac's seats. Man, Man, how you being man? Oh
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: good man. I'm gonna thank you man for that conversation
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: that you had to meet add with me at your
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: game showing me and my family came on. As you see,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I've been doing a bit of what you talked about
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: as far as like it's standing my horizons and doing
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: different things. So I want to thank you for stealing
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: that spirited me to, you know, do other things. And
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: the de great at what I'm great at. I mean, man,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: and you you you you was doing it man, but
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: you're really stepping it up. Man. I'm just like sitting
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: here looking at you and I'm going, Man, this cat
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: really gets it man. And this new project, Man, your
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: new gospel album, Bible of Love, it's out now. Okay,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: first of all, let's just talk about this. How did
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: you come up with the idea of doing the album
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: in the first place? With the spirit of my grandmother
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: was always in me um and I would always go
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: to her hound Steve and she'd be watching Jimmy Swagen
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: and she could never listen to my music, and she
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: always wanted to you don't have something with my voice
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: on it. So I was like, you know what, when
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: she passed away, I'm gonna have to do something, and
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: I remember to show her that, you know, her spirit
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: is go always live on. So I went in to
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: prepare the record and made it do what it did,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: and it just felt good to everybody that was a
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: part every when I reached out to all of the artists,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: from the Clark Susiter, Ran Sallen the Player to him
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: and John t. Everybody so wanting to be a part
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: of it because they knew the spirit of my grandmother
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: was in me. And that's why it's such a strong
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: project because they stamped by some of these pictures. And
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: can we say, Steve, that that's the one that's wonderful.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Can we say that Bible of Love has been number
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: number one for three weeks in a row. That And
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: you know, like for me, it's really cool because this
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: dude is who he is. He never faked nobody with
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: who he was. But what people don't understand, man, is
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: God creates all of us. Creates all of us were
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: different and it's different routes. Man. It's like Kim always
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: says in the show, Hey man, we we we got
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the same mission. We're just operating on on different sides
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: of the street. And this is a cat that could
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: do some real, some real work to get some people
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: to just to have relationship with God. Man. I really
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: love it. Man. This is your sixteenth album, man, so
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: your whole inspiration that was your grandmother. But what about
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: this time right here? Man? I mean, what what made
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: you go with, you know, the gospel route. Well, I'm
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: looking at the world we're living there right now, Steve.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: I'm looking at all this violence and the president that's
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: running this world that we live in, and just the
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: things that we gotta be up again. And I asked myself,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: do I want to add some fire to the field
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: or do I want to put some light on the
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: situation and try to walk people to a lighting situation
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: as opposed to welcome down this dark pass that I
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: usually walk people down. So I wanted to be the
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: opposite for what the world is right now. I wanted
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: to be peace, love and happiness, to try to put
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: something in here to answer all of this hadeous negativity,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: you know, for him to say, instead of walking people
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: down the dog path, I usually take about because you
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: don't look, man, I mean we all dudes, you know,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: and you know, like Michelle Obama said, you know, we
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: should all take the high road. And I was tripping
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: that analogy because if you're driving your car down there,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: then hey, man, this is where my car had two
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: so ain't I ain't really have two men? High roads?
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: You that? You that little light and I just see
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: it in you. Man. I think I was surprised Snoop,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: But then at the same time, man it hey, man,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: you really helped me because I'm such an imperfect dude. Man,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: and I just I just need to see some some
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: other imperfect people come out and go, hey, me too.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: But I love the Lord, and I was telling people
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I was like the church had misunderstanding. I said, I
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: took God. I took a job with me even when
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I was doing long. I took a job with everything
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: I did, so I never left you behind. So when
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: it was time for me to come back home, he
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: always was there for me. So you should be there
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: for me as well. Instaid of trying to look at
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: what I didn't do and what I was, then you
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: better preach, man. But you know the cool part about
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: it is too see everybody, see when you fame like
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: a cat like Snoop, See, all your sins and misgivings
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: is in front of lights cameras. Now all of you
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: who ain't famous, all your sins and misgivings is in
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: the comfort and convenient of your house. But they steal
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: your sins and misgivings. Though you did, you just ain't
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: got the cameras and the lights attached to it. I
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: just I just love the fact that you did it. Man,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: it's like tripping me out for real. Well, I mean,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: I felt like I had to take the stand to
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: you because in the hip hop industry, I've done so
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: much for hip hop for the young uneration for the
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: lowing sites. They considered me uncle Snoop down because I
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: become like a mentor and like a bridge to understand
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: it with a lot of these young artists. And that's
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: in the industry. So I felt like, you know, not
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: that my time is over with and wrap and wrap,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: but I felt like I got a better purpose. I
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: need to paint a bigger picture for my platform, and
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: I could use that by painting this gospel record as
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: opposed to be trying to stuff another rap album down
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: your ears, but put something you think that it's reality
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: and that's love and that's something that we need to
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: hear right now. Wow, hey man, that goes on so much.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Often times, I say, your career is what you paid for,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: your calling, this what you made for and you know
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: this is what you made for. Mean man, it's it's
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: a stupids. Like you told me that time it's like
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: your mom always says, she wasn't surprised. No, not at all.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: But it's a particular line that I wrote in one
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: of my songs. I said, up, I've been down so long.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I'm used to falling, y'all, but I recognize it's my calling. Dog.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I've been on dame, annoying it. But the oil on
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: the battlefield, I'm gloryal to the sawyer. Wow. Hey, hey, listen,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: hey man, when we come back, can we play one
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: of the songs off the album Snoop Got Cat? Can
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: we do that we come back, We're gonna play one
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: of the hot was off Snoop's new album. You're listening,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: all right, We're back, everybody with our special guests is Snoop.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: We've been talking to him today at a great conversation. Man.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: He's released his first UH gospel album. It has been
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: number one on the charts for three weeks now. The
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: album is called Bible of Love. Yeah, I'm gonna saying
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: before the awards, you know a lot of us want
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: to thank God when we get the award. I'd like
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: to thank God before the war. And even if I
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: don't get in the water, I'd like to thank that.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Look at that hey castle. Which one we're gonna play?
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Which one do we have? This is one more day, snoop,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: set this up, Oh man. This is from the one
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: and only Charlie wants and my uncle, my love, my life,

- 1:20:06Speaker 1: more day, come on my day. One more. It's just

- 1:21:09Speaker 1: your fass for what you're saying it again when he
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: can't sing it again. He picked me up. Then he
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: turned me arounds my fee and I'm looking pretty good
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: right now, my hand that you ever dancy. I gotta
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: feel it's gonna be all right. I gotta feeling. I

- 1:23:23Speaker 1: know that man, You better know that poor crackhead after
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: ever did. But I'm looking to the good right now,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: thinking Charlie was a hard one to him. He was
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: the worst crackhead you ever seen. But God, tax man, Yeah,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: it was almost a rap. Come on more like there's
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: a testimony of one more day that we hear, and
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: we make it the most of the day, and we
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: understand that God has given us one more day if
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: he wants to make them. Said that thing while here,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: because tomorrow a bumps. Yeah, dog, I'm no safe, but

- 1:30:01Speaker 1: Mariah Carey reveals she has bipolar disorder. Guys, Mariah Carey
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: recently uh said that she has bipolar to disorder. Um.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: She's a five time Grammy Award winner, of course, and
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: she says that she was first diagnosed back in two
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: thousand one, wow, seventeen years ago. Yeah. She said that
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: she didn't want to believe it. She didn't want to
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: carry around the stigma of a lifelong disease that would
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: define her and potentially uh end her be the end
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: of her career. She's recently stated, Um, she's recently started
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: receiving treatment because she was afraid of losing everything, and
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: she was concerned that someone in her orbit would tell
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: her story. For her, so she wanted to be the
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: first one to get it out to around her. You know, like,
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: if something was wrong with you, then one of us
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: went to the press and told instead of conversation, go
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: down there, then something else, like I need to be
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: on the checkout counts, go down there and tell you
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: something else about me if you want to for a
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: check with your line self. So that's why that's what
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: happens to me. Yeah, that's why Mariah told it herself.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: So now no one in her orbit would tell I
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: could have helped Mara because I've been around him. What
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: do you mean you could have helped you. I could
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: have diagnosed you could a doctor, Steve, you know, damn doctor.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: I have lived it, So you mean you could tell that?
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: Hell yeah. It was a shot to everyone that she
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: admitted that Nick bi pol nick New did say something
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: wrongogize Nick. I bet that Nick New. Anyway, I tell
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: you stand what, No, I can help you with that,
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: right there. I've been around all that my whole life. Yeah,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: what what you've been around people with bipolar there? Yeah? Everything,
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: But you won't bipolar insensitive crazy can diagnos all that
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: for you. My sister had bipolar D too. She cured
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: of it now though called my mama to be wird,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: and that was that was I need to know my
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: mama could fight, right. So see, so whatever you turned into, Biden,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: come up no more? She woke up. Who are you now?
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: I'm just polar. She slapped the bye out of me.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: She slept both of them. Matter of fact, she don't
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: even come by no more. Yeah, I'm just polo. You
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: called me polar bear, polar, Arctic, polar generation. You called
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: me polars on, you called me the polar's own. Call
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: me bar because I'm messed around my mama to b
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: word and by. Steve will be up next with his
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: closing remarks. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: Here we go, Steve, last break of the day. What
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: a fun day, this was, happy Friday. Yeah, this is
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: a great Friday. Yeah the Friday. Yeah, we're talked about
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: superstitious early superstitions earlier. None of us are, but apparently
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: Jay is very But Steve, now it's time to get
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: serious and for you to enlighten us. You're closing remarks, please, sir.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: My closing remarks to date is very pointed. I want
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: to share something with you because a lot of people
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: have a misconception about success. I think success has been misunderstood,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: especially because of technology nowadays. Because I talked to the
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: millennials that live in my house, well used to anyway,
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: and I talked to him all the time about succes
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: us and because they have Google, they they don't understand
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: some things about success. And I'm not saying that in
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: a negative way. But this young millennial generation, because they've
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: been so gifted with this new innovations and technology, Google
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: is amazing. You do remember when you wanted to know something,
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: those of you from the baby boomer generation, you had
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: to go to the library, You had to go to
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: the card catalog, you had to get on the steps
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: or elevating and go upstairs and hunt for the book,
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: and then that's all you knew on the subject that
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: was in the book. Well, Google has come about and
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: you don't have to go anywhere. Knowledge is at your
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: finger till. But what I want you to do, I
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: want you to google success. Google it and see what
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: it tells you. I don't think success is google able.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I don't think it is. See the thing about success,
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: it's sort of weird because successes it's, it's, it's, it's.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: It can be described different ways by different people. But
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: whatever it is, it's hard to get there. It is
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: very hard to get together. I mean, it's just very
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: hard to get that. Uh. Here's an example, Uh, success
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: or encyclopedia. It's what we usually have to go and
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: find with Encyclopedia's right, my mind drifted for a second,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: so forgive me. But that's where we got our information
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: from Google success. And see what it tells you. I
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: promise you it's not gonna tell you how to get that.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: It will give you the definition of it. But success
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: varies from person to person. What you may consider success,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: I may consider something else success. It don't make you
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: less successful or not successful. It's just that's what's your
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: aiming point, and if you reach it, then you're successful.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: The problem is if we don't aim high enough. I
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: gave those clothes remarks just the other day. But here's
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: the message I'm trying to get to you. I gonna
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: tell you the truth about success from a person who
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: has had a measure of it in my life. I'm
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: gonna tell you the cold, funky truth about success. Here
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: it is it's not easy, and here it is. These
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: are some of the things you have to deal with
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: in order to become successful. See up under the success
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: is the root and the base. The success is a tree.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: Look at success as a tree. There's a tree trunk
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: and these beautiful leaves all over. Imagine your most beautiful
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: tree as your most beautiful moment of success. Take your
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: successful moment and picture it as the most beautiful tree.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: So your analogy is that your success is this beautiful tree. Okay,
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: do you have your picture of a tree in your head?
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: Everybody right now, put a picture of a tree in
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: your head, A beautiful tree. I don't care if it's
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: got fall, leaves on it, buds on it. Whatever you
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: can to the beautiful tree. Look out your wind and
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: pick one. Okay, that's your success. Now let me tell
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: you about the roots system, because this is how that
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: tree got to be, this beautiful tree with these colors
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: and leaves on it and buds and fruit and all
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: like this. There's a root system. There's some disappointment underground
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: that you don't see in the tree. There's a lot
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: of persistence underground in the root system of the tree.
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: That's hard work. In the roots system of the tree.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: See a tree, don't look like hard work. You just
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: see the beautiful tree. You just see the beautiful fruit
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: that's on the tree, the peaches and the cherries and
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: the apples and the lemons and the lines, and you
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: just go, man with a beautiful tree. You need to
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: look at the root system. You need to see the
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: huge risk that you got to take to become successful.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: You gotta look at all the late nights that you
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: gotta stay up in order to be successful. You gotta
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: you gotta look at the struggles. You gotta look at
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: the competition. You gotta look at all the discipline that
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: it takes to become successful. Keep in mind the whole time.
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: You gotta look at the heartache. Keep in mind the
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: whole time that big, pretty treat you're looking at that
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: you want to call success. I want you to think
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: about the roots system that got that treat to be successful,
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: and those beautiful leaves and that beautiful fruit. It's the
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: roots system that counts. If you kill the root system,
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: the treat dies. Don't you understand what I'm trying to
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: tell you that in order to become successful, you gotta
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: have a lot of courage. You gotta suffer through a
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: lot of doubts, heartache. You're gonna have to get through
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: all the criticism. You got to get by all the
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: personal failures. You gotta handle the adversity. You gotta deal
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: with the rejections. You gotta come on and understand the sacrifices.
