- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things, and it's to be true. Good it
- 0:24Speaker 1: listening to mother? Please, I don't join Jo. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turning you're going to do. You gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turn them out. Turn You haven't got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn turn water to the water. Go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your fa I sure will a good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only. It is Steve Harvey. Yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, this is timely for everybody.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm sure I want to offer you all or some
- 2:25Speaker 1: encouragement because everybody needed. Let me tell you something. You
- 2:35Speaker 1: strike out on your goals, you strike out on your aspirations,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and so you strike out, as it happens to all
- 2:44Speaker 1: of us. Here it comes life. Life just hits one
- 2:50Speaker 1: of them bad notes as it always does, as it
- 2:55Speaker 1: always does for all of us, for everybody. Now, when
- 3:02Speaker 1: those bad notes happen, when the haters come out of nowhere,
- 3:06Speaker 1: when the setback comes up, When when the out of
- 3:10Speaker 1: nowhere appears, When now I didn't see that coming comes
- 3:17Speaker 1: Here's here's what you have to do. Here is the
- 3:20Speaker 1: thing that I have been teaching myself for years that
- 3:26Speaker 1: I used to not always understand, so I'm trying to
- 3:29Speaker 1: give it to you. You have to be encouraged anyway.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Now that's difficult, Okay, Steve, what you're talking about? You
- 3:39Speaker 1: just told me all this discouraging stuff that can happen,
- 3:42Speaker 1: and you said you got to be encouraged anyway. Yeah, man,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you have to because what's happening to you right now,
- 3:53Speaker 1: the thing that you're going through right now, the thing
- 3:56Speaker 1: that everybody's going through right now. Ain't nobody else sailing. Man.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Everybody got something and if they if they don't smooth sailing,
- 4:05Speaker 1: just notice is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's just that this is life. This is how it
- 4:12Speaker 1: happens everybody, So please stop stop getting on the old
- 4:15Speaker 1: woe is Me bandwagon? Old Lord? Why met old Lord?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Something always happened to me, something always happens to everybody.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But here's what you got to do. When you get
- 4:28Speaker 1: in moments like this, you got to be encouraged. You
- 4:31Speaker 1: got to remember in those times, in those times when
- 4:36Speaker 1: it's going wrong, you got to remember all that you've
- 4:40Speaker 1: been through. You got to remember all that you've come through.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You have to remember those other times when you felt
- 4:50Speaker 1: like this, and somehow unexplainably you don't even really stop
- 4:56Speaker 1: to say nothing about it. It just changed for you.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And the problem that was is no more. And the
- 5:04Speaker 1: situation that seems so insurmountable, you got over it. You
- 5:09Speaker 1: got around it, You got over it. Sometimes you just
- 5:14Speaker 1: got to slide right under it. Sometimes you got to
- 5:19Speaker 1: plow through it. But in those times when it's discouraging
- 5:25Speaker 1: for you, when you feel like giving up, those are
- 5:29Speaker 1: the test. Those are the moments that will determine whether
- 5:36Speaker 1: we make it or not. I'll tell you one thing
- 5:39Speaker 1: for sure. If you give up in these moments, right
- 5:42Speaker 1: here here is a foreshow you'll never make it. That
- 5:47Speaker 1: that's that's unquestionably the deal. If you give up in
- 5:52Speaker 1: these dark times, if you give up in these what
- 5:56Speaker 1: you think is insurmountable moments, if you turn back now
- 6:01Speaker 1: here is the one thousand percent for shure, you ain't
- 6:04Speaker 1: gonna make it. But there's a bright side to this situation.
- 6:10Speaker 1: If you keep your head down, if you keep forging,
- 6:15Speaker 1: if you keep pressing on. Sometimes if you just stand
- 6:19Speaker 1: there and sometimes get knocked to your knees. But if
- 6:23Speaker 1: you stay in that place, if you just stay there
- 6:26Speaker 1: and ride the storm out, my head is bloodied but unbowed.
- 6:32Speaker 1: If you can just stay there, if you consider in
- 6:38Speaker 1: that moment and ride it out, you will win. You
- 6:45Speaker 1: will pass the test, and you will get to move
- 6:48Speaker 1: on to the next level. But there is no next
- 6:52Speaker 1: level without a test. You can't get to grade six
- 6:56Speaker 1: without passing grade five. You can't be a senior without
- 7:02Speaker 1: first being a junior. You can't graduate without fulfilling the
- 7:07Speaker 1: hours and requirements. You see, I don't care what you
- 7:11Speaker 1: do in life. Look at it. It's all set up
- 7:14Speaker 1: on levels. But you've got to accomplish the thing before
- 7:18Speaker 1: in order to get to the next level. And when
- 7:21Speaker 1: you've made those level accomplishments, you get to graduate. Now
- 7:25Speaker 1: you can go on and get the masters in a PhD.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You can go on and become rich, you can go
- 7:30Speaker 1: become wealthy, or you can go or you can go
- 7:32Speaker 1: somewhere and think yourself in another set of circumstances. But
- 7:36Speaker 1: you got to go through something to get to something.
- 7:39Speaker 1: There ain't nothing free. So you can stop that notion
- 7:42Speaker 1: about being successful that is easy. Come on, man, if
- 7:46Speaker 1: it was easy, what what we are, what we're talking about.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It is not easy. Stop thinking it is. It is difficult.
- 7:55Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what's even more difficult than becoming successful.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You want to know what that is? Try not being
- 8:02Speaker 1: successful your whole life. That's hard. You are listening to
- 8:08Speaker 1: a person who has done them both been successful and
- 8:14Speaker 1: really really been not successful. And I got news for you.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Both of them hard. But I would rather deal with
- 8:22Speaker 1: what it is to be something, to make something out
- 8:25Speaker 1: of myself, to force myself to go to work when
- 8:28Speaker 1: I don't feel like it. This morning was a rough
- 8:30Speaker 1: get up for me, but I got up and I
- 8:33Speaker 1: said thank you anyway. Never give up. And I don't
- 8:37Speaker 1: watch this dude too. He to mess around and got
- 8:39Speaker 1: close to me because he just never gave up. You
- 8:42Speaker 1: can never ever give up. Never. It's not an option.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Giving up cannot be an option for you. You cannot
- 8:52Speaker 1: do that. It's out of the question. It's ain't conceivable
- 8:56Speaker 1: in your mind to quit, because to quit it's what
- 9:01Speaker 1: what you get when you quit nothing. That is a
- 9:05Speaker 1: reward for those who hang in there, who never give up,
- 9:09Speaker 1: who forged through, who see it through. Who get knocked
- 9:12Speaker 1: down and get back up? Who gets trampled but somehow
- 9:16Speaker 1: gathers themselves and get back to your knees. But stay
- 9:19Speaker 1: in that place, man, don't ever give up. Don't let
- 9:22Speaker 1: go be encouraged. Think of all you've been through. Think
- 9:25Speaker 1: of all you come through. Think of all he's done
- 9:28Speaker 1: for you. Think of all the times you thought you
- 9:30Speaker 1: wasn't gonna make it, but somehow, without you ever even
- 9:33Speaker 1: saying thank you, he got through. He got you through it. Anyway.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That's that thing called grace. Now we kind of need
- 9:39Speaker 1: that in our life. All I need is a little
- 9:43Speaker 1: more grace. You can't give God no money for grace, man.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Grace is absolutely free. It's available to everybody. But you
- 9:51Speaker 1: can't get none if you quit. Don't give up. I'll
- 9:54Speaker 1: just tell you that flat out. Don't ever give up.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening. People, Get read. There's a train come in.
- 10:09Speaker 1: You don't need no ticket. You just get home, boy,
- 10:17Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, the train is here. Shirley Strawberry, Hey,

- 22:25Speaker 1: y'all to day? What did you want any special requestions?
- 22:27Speaker 1: I mean the giving holiday spirit to move well? Since
- 22:31Speaker 1: you're deal first of all, I know you have some
- 22:33Speaker 1: holiday traditions, like you know, when you open your gifts
- 22:37Speaker 1: on Christmas or what do you do Christmas Eve, putting
- 22:40Speaker 1: up your tree, things like that, you know, what what
- 22:42Speaker 1: do you yeah, what's your Christmas like? And then you know,
- 22:46Speaker 1: if we have time, and I hope we do, you
- 22:49Speaker 1: know most well, you know, sweetie, most of my family separated,
- 22:55Speaker 1: you know, going there on waves in the head, chealers
- 22:57Speaker 1: and everything. So if I try to see all on
- 23:00Speaker 1: my just be on the plane all day. So some
- 23:03Speaker 1: of them come over and you know, spend some time
- 23:05Speaker 1: with me. I push my tree up right after Thanksgiving.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Though oh yes, yes, ma'am, yes, ma'am. I don't actually
- 23:14Speaker 1: put it up myself. I ask people's oh okay, wow,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I didn't know that. Well, when you get people, when
- 23:26Speaker 1: I can see that, I ask people that helps me. Yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 1: she might need a little help. I ask people that
- 23:32Speaker 1: helps me, you know, like you and you the last
- 23:35Speaker 1: person need to ask about who got people west Santa
- 23:39Speaker 1: Claus get you from elf? He from? Well? Do you
- 23:50Speaker 1: cook anything special, sister Odell, like a favorite rescip? You know,
- 23:56Speaker 1: I cooks. You know, I'm really good at dressing in yams.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I love dressing in yams. And now I buys my
- 24:04Speaker 1: turkey now already cooked from honey, bake that way I
- 24:07Speaker 1: ain't got to be in there watching it, you know,
- 24:10Speaker 1: honey bake do it watch man? Uh huh huh okay, okay,
- 24:16Speaker 1: all right, well, um you wanna bless us with the
- 24:21Speaker 1: song since you're here. I mean, I know you love
- 24:23Speaker 1: Christmas songs. You could finish, Oh I see it all
- 24:48Speaker 1: Oh jeez, did you like jingle bells? That's your dell? Well,
- 24:58Speaker 1: you know there regional version. They change it when white
- 25:02Speaker 1: people started singing, what what do you mean? What you
- 25:06Speaker 1: mean like jingle bells? Jingle bells? That's not when used
- 25:09Speaker 1: to this used to be jingle bears, used to go
- 25:12Speaker 1: like this jangle or jangle Oh, jangle oh, jangle jangle Lord,
- 25:24Speaker 1: jangle bell jangle bells, jangle bells, jangle all away said,
- 25:35Speaker 1: jangle bears, jangle bells, jangle all the way. Then you know,
- 25:42Speaker 1: white folks couldn't do it, so they had to simplify it,
- 25:45Speaker 1: you know, to what yeah, yeah, what's your version of bells? Like? Yeah, okay,
- 25:57Speaker 1: just white. Yeah, they killed it, kill all the show
- 26:01Speaker 1: in it. You know that was yeah, yeah, that's a
- 26:06Speaker 1: good one. Well, you know that's really not a Christmas
- 26:13Speaker 1: song because you know everyone knows raindeers really can't fly,
- 26:18Speaker 1: you know, don't tell the kid can't fly? No raindow. Well,
- 26:26Speaker 1: y'all are lying to the kids. What what do you
- 26:28Speaker 1: want me to do? Sister? Damn we have children learning
- 26:32Speaker 1: you kids. Yeah, I was devastating. Well you know as
- 26:39Speaker 1: they seen him fly. Have a heart, sister Odell. Now,
- 26:45Speaker 1: come on, this is for the kids. What about like Frosty,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I have a okay for the kids. Okay, so didn't
- 26:54Speaker 1: listen to me. For the kids that listening, this is
- 26:57Speaker 1: what's happening. They are a white man that puts on
- 27:01Speaker 1: a suit and gets in the sled with twelve raindeer
- 27:04Speaker 1: and they put him all across the hood and he
- 27:06Speaker 1: slabs on people's roof and ever being shot and comes
- 27:10Speaker 1: down the chimney and it fitched out everybody chimney. Now,
- 27:14Speaker 1: if you ain't got a chimney, he comes through the
- 27:17Speaker 1: windows or under the door, and then he leaves all
- 27:21Speaker 1: the presents and stuff you don't want. And that's what
- 27:25Speaker 1: he is. He's just saying a cross And if you
- 27:27Speaker 1: ain't ever got what you wanted, that pretty much explains
- 27:31Speaker 1: it's fatter stuff. Oh wow. All I can say to
- 27:39Speaker 1: that is thank you, sister, odell, shit, the the snow
- 27:47Speaker 1: one open? Can you tell him what's coming up? Laughing?
- 27:56Speaker 1: I guess not take us out. You're listening, all right.
- 28:04Speaker 1: The stereotype of being single during the holidays usually brings
- 28:08Speaker 1: looks of pity from people, but really, really, it can
- 28:11Speaker 1: be cool. It can if you're single. Uh what being
- 28:14Speaker 1: single for the holiday? Yeah? And I don't look to
- 28:16Speaker 1: people for you need fire, somebody get boot up. Don't don't.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I'm telling you you need to find someday. Wake your
- 28:23Speaker 1: ass by yourself. Hey, wake up? Oh Christmas Day? By yourself? Hey,
- 28:29Speaker 1: no noise another room? Wow? Okay, okay, Well, there there
- 28:33Speaker 1: are a lot of things, junior, that single people can
- 28:36Speaker 1: do that someone with a significant other can't. All right,
- 28:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you. Your time is your own for
- 28:43Speaker 1: one thing. You have that freedom. But guys, here are
- 28:45Speaker 1: ways the singles have it better during the holidays. Check
- 28:48Speaker 1: it out, junior. There are no fights waiting to happen,
- 28:52Speaker 1: No fights waiting to happen. Someone's good thing. Yeah, that's
- 28:56Speaker 1: a great thing. Or break up? You know what. A
- 28:59Speaker 1: lot of people break up for the holidays. You don't
- 29:01Speaker 1: have to worry about that. Can't break up if you
- 29:03Speaker 1: ain't gotten nobody by yourself. Yeah, okay, here's another one.
- 29:07Speaker 1: You don't have to buy a lot of gifts. Think
- 29:09Speaker 1: about it, you ain't getting none. Okay. I'm just looking
- 29:13Speaker 1: at the bright side of this. There are no mandatory
- 29:17Speaker 1: spouse holiday parties you have to attend as ain't got
- 29:20Speaker 1: nothing on the stove me, but you don't have to.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Ain't no smells in the house. Okay, here's another one.
- 29:28Speaker 1: You don't have to choose which family you're gonna celebrate with.
- 29:31Speaker 1: There's always a fight about that, you know. Yeah, but

- 30:15Speaker 1: there's no positive. No, you don't think you need to
- 30:17Speaker 1: find somebody. I remember the first time we moved Atlanta.
- 30:20Speaker 1: First I didn't go home when I moved Atlanta. All right.
- 30:23Speaker 1: When I woke up and there was nothing, nothing, no food,
- 30:27Speaker 1: no no. I called home. I heard all that joy
- 30:31Speaker 1: and laughter and getting passed around on the phone. Ain't fun?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Who is that? All these damn questions? I'm coming in?
- 30:39Speaker 1: Who is that? Let me talk to you? Who coming in?
- 30:42Speaker 1: What y'all doing it? Now? Who is that? Who is that? Now?
- 30:46Speaker 1: Is that the doubt? What? Baby? Is that? What y'all
- 30:49Speaker 1: look at that? You don't want to do that? Wow?
- 30:53Speaker 1: I like all of that. You like being by yourself
- 31:01Speaker 1: during the holidays? No, yeah, listen, listen, listen, listen. That's
- 31:06Speaker 1: what it sounds. So what that's what I'm telling Okay,
- 31:10Speaker 1: Christmas morning is like what at your house? Listen? Let
- 31:13Speaker 1: me listen. Don't you just love that? No? Pots rattlings?
- 31:20Speaker 1: Listen again? You maybe to hit who in the joint?
- 31:24Speaker 1: You got to be lonely, got to be lone pots rattling? No,
- 31:28Speaker 1: nois no. Let you hear it again. Listen, not a
- 31:33Speaker 1: damn thing if you love it? No company at all?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Kind of my house. You ain't in the neighborhood because
- 31:41Speaker 1: I ain't gonna let you in. You know that we
- 31:43Speaker 1: were just in the neighborhood when you outside because you

- 31:57Speaker 1: don't deciously Christmas morning. It just means something, all right, Steve.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Time for today's headline, Ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne trip Oh,
- 32:07Speaker 1: thank you, Steve. This is entreput the news. The Democrats
- 32:10Speaker 1: hopes of their party members presenting that unified front to
- 32:14Speaker 1: pass President Biden this trillion dollars social spending a climate
- 32:17Speaker 1: change bill that's over. So called moderate Democrat Joe Mansion
- 32:21Speaker 1: told Fox five Sunday that he will definitely not be
- 32:23Speaker 1: voting in favor. If I can't go home and explain
- 32:26Speaker 1: it to the people of West Virginia, I can't vote
- 32:28Speaker 1: for it, and I cannot vote to continue with this
- 32:32Speaker 1: piece of legislation. I just can't. Mansion says the bill
- 32:35Speaker 1: will cost too much. But in reacting to yesterday's statement
- 32:38Speaker 1: by Mansion, White House spokesperson Jen Saki seems to suggest
- 32:41Speaker 1: betrayal by this guy. Saki says that Joe Mansion came
- 32:44Speaker 1: to the White House early last week. Last Tuesday with
- 32:47Speaker 1: an outline that could have served as a blueprint for
- 32:49Speaker 1: a compromise, and that he promised to keep negotiating with
- 32:52Speaker 1: the President to reach a compromise. I would just last
- 32:54Speaker 1: Tuesday President Biden's social stimulus package, and he's every single
- 32:58Speaker 1: Democratic vote in the center if it's to pass, because
- 33:01Speaker 1: no Republicans are going to support it. So for now,
- 33:04Speaker 1: it looks like these social stimulus package is dead. However,
- 33:07Speaker 1: Saki says she's confident that the President will find a
- 33:09Speaker 1: way to move forward to work it out sometime next year.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci warning Americans that the new
- 33:17Speaker 1: COVID omicron variants extremely contagious and that holiday travel will
- 33:21Speaker 1: no doubt increasing the risk of infections, even for people
- 33:24Speaker 1: who are vaccinated. In fact, COVID infections are still affecting
- 33:28Speaker 1: major league sports. For instance, in the NBA, the Nets
- 33:30Speaker 1: game was canceled last night and it's also canceled tomorrow.
- 33:34Speaker 1: In the National Hockey League, all travel between the US
- 33:37Speaker 1: and Canada, that's practically in the Hockey League anyway, that's
- 33:40Speaker 1: postponed for now, and they say they're going to have
- 33:42Speaker 1: to post to postpone about twelve games to reschedule them. Okay. Meanwhile,
- 33:47Speaker 1: Triple a is estimating that at least one hundred million
- 33:50Speaker 1: people will either be flying or driving during Christmas and
- 33:54Speaker 1: the New Year's a break. Sad news, They say that
- 33:57Speaker 1: a rising rap star who performed under the moniker Dre
- 34:00Speaker 1: the Ruler, has been killed. They say that Draco the Ruler,
- 34:03Speaker 1: whose government name was Darryl Caldwell, was fatally stabbed backstage
- 34:07Speaker 1: at a concert call the Once Upon a Time concert
- 34:10Speaker 1: in la He was twenty eight. There are no suspects
- 34:14Speaker 1: in custody. The police say they are looking for someone. Finally,
- 34:17Speaker 1: at the box office this weekend, the latest Spider Man
- 34:20Speaker 1: movie is leading the pack, pulling in a jaw dropping
- 34:22Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty million dollars domestically, and it made
- 34:28Speaker 1: all that kind of sound five hundred and eighty seven
- 34:30Speaker 1: mill worldwide. Spider Man No Way Home the first film
- 34:33Speaker 1: to come out of the COVID era to pull in
- 34:35Speaker 1: over one hundred million dollars in its domestic debut. Spider

- 34:42Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 34:44Speaker 1: to show ClOH Yes, I'm excited. This one is from

- 34:58Speaker 1: a liquor store and a nail salon, and there's a
- 35:01Speaker 1: small space in the back of the nail salon that
- 35:04Speaker 1: we haven't decided what to do with. My wife went
- 35:07Speaker 1: behind my back and had a contractor look at the space,
- 35:10Speaker 1: and when I found out, she told me that she's
- 35:13Speaker 1: opening a last studio in that space. We're equal partners
- 35:18Speaker 1: in other businesses, but she never does any work at
- 35:21Speaker 1: either one of them, so now she's trying to make
- 35:24Speaker 1: her own money without me. This doesn't sit right with me,
- 35:27Speaker 1: and I told her i'd take her to court over it.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Am I right or wrong? You got taken a court
- 35:33Speaker 1: over All you gotta do to get out. All you
- 35:35Speaker 1: gotta do is walk up to the contractor. You ain't
- 35:37Speaker 1: getting paid, dog, I don't understand. No, no listen to
- 35:47Speaker 1: eat butter for you to pay you. So see, so
- 35:53Speaker 1: I don't think it's a court issue. Now y'all going
- 35:57Speaker 1: to court. And I don't know, but lashes and nails.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I don't know how y'all's business is doing. If it's
- 36:03Speaker 1: working well, but I bet it ain't topping that liquor stoe,
- 36:06Speaker 1: though not in the sill liquor Stole's bigg in Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, Chattanooga.
- 36:16Speaker 1: On the corn, why don't y'all expand the liquor stone?
- 36:20Speaker 1: They do a bar as b wild b He's pretty
- 36:25Speaker 1: bitter though, talking about court. You're right, yeah, you ain't
- 36:28Speaker 1: got through that man. Yeah, okay. Chandrea and Memphis says,
- 36:31Speaker 1: I'm a thirty four year old female and I was
- 36:33Speaker 1: dating a sixty year old married man. Sixty year old
- 36:36Speaker 1: married man. His wife found out and called me and
- 36:39Speaker 1: asked me to meet with her. I felt so bad
- 36:42Speaker 1: that I agreed to talk to her face to face.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I was shocked at how beautiful and put together she is.
- 36:49Speaker 1: She said her husband cheats all the time, and she
- 36:51Speaker 1: loves him so much that she would never leave him.
- 36:54Speaker 1: She offered me fifteen hundred dollars if i'd leave him alone.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I genuinely liked her, so I promised her I was
- 37:01Speaker 1: not going to see him anymore, and I told her
- 37:03Speaker 1: to keep her money. I'm trying to keep my promise
- 37:06Speaker 1: to her, but her husband won't leave me alone. Should
- 37:09Speaker 1: I tell him? I met his wife and told her
- 37:11Speaker 1: everything get the money though, right then let me first thing?
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yeah right, I'm gonna leave them alone. Yeah, well, I
- 37:30Speaker 1: don't you know. I think it was a smart, cool
- 37:32Speaker 1: thing of you not to take her money. Yeah, uh,
- 37:35Speaker 1: you know, but I think you should just leave a
- 37:37Speaker 1: guy alone, just say. Hey, look, I met with your wife.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I really respect her. I felt bad about what I'm doing,
- 37:44Speaker 1: and uh, she told me about how you are and
- 37:46Speaker 1: you seeing other people, So go see them other people.
- 37:49Speaker 1: But she loves you so much she ain't gonna leave you.

- 43:46Speaker 1: church man, I've probably been at the church for like
- 43:49Speaker 1: five years now, about five years. Okay, okay, listen. My
- 43:51Speaker 1: name Doug Man, Doug, and I haven't I haven't joined
- 43:55Speaker 1: the church yet, but I've been coming because my cousin,
- 43:58Speaker 1: you know, my um, uh, my cousin them go there,
- 44:01Speaker 1: and they've been going there for quite a bit. My
- 44:03Speaker 1: my cousin, uh, I got I got one cousin that's
- 44:06Speaker 1: in the choir. Uh Latrice, you know who Latrica is? Right? Yeah? Yeah?
- 44:13Speaker 1: The church yet, No, No, I'm not remember of the
- 44:15Speaker 1: church yet. But you know I've been in there. You know,
- 44:17Speaker 1: I'm liking the service and everything. So you know, it's
- 44:19Speaker 1: just a matter of time, you know. Uh uh when
- 44:22Speaker 1: I feel like I'm ready to actually join. But I
- 44:25Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie. Man. I'm calling you because I
- 44:27Speaker 1: got a bit of an issue about, uh about something
- 44:30Speaker 1: I've been noticing for the last three weeks that's been
- 44:32Speaker 1: going on in the church, and I wanted to uh,
- 44:35Speaker 1: you know, I had to ask around who was over
- 44:37Speaker 1: the media ministry. Yeah, that's that's you. Okay, So uh, man,
- 44:44Speaker 1: I don't know what's happening. Uh And and I ain't
- 44:47Speaker 1: gonna lie. I gotta be real with you. It pissed
- 44:48Speaker 1: me off. But for the last three weeks, you know, uh,
- 44:53Speaker 1: when my cousin get ready to sing, you know, I
- 44:56Speaker 1: don't know why when she get up the saying that
- 44:59Speaker 1: the mic just go out, you know what I mean,
- 45:01Speaker 1: the mic just go completely out? Was she getting ready

- 45:05Speaker 1: no sense, you know, So, man, I ain't been. It's
- 45:08Speaker 1: not like I'm timing it. I don't know. I mean,
- 45:10Speaker 1: we don't have the best equipment at the church. You know,
- 45:12Speaker 1: we just gotta work for what we got. I mean,
- 45:15Speaker 1: it's not like I'm sitting there trying to sing about
- 45:18Speaker 1: your cousin. Sometimes the mics get a glitch. Man, But see,
- 45:20Speaker 1: but see that. But see that's my problem though. The
- 45:22Speaker 1: problem I'm having is the glitch happening every single time
- 45:26Speaker 1: my cousin get the mic. You know, that's that's the
- 45:28Speaker 1: problem of hem. I'm like, okay, so every time Latries
- 45:30Speaker 1: get up that the same then you know, the mic
- 45:33Speaker 1: go out. I came three weeks straight. I ain't hearing

- 45:55Speaker 1: energy to the church. Say whatnot? You're gonna bring that
- 45:59Speaker 1: energy to church? I told you, man, it's just a glitch.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Ain't nothing I could do about it. Okay, what I'm
- 46:04Speaker 1: saying though, Bro, what I'm saying is this right here though,
- 46:06Speaker 1: And I'm being as real as I can, which if
- 46:09Speaker 1: I if Latrese might go out on Sunday immediately after

- 46:20Speaker 1: Like I said, I ain't got nothing to do with it.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I try to keep everything running cool, you know. I
- 46:25Speaker 1: try to keep the running smooth. I can't tell you
- 46:27Speaker 1: when a glitch is gonna happen. It's electronics, man, it's
- 46:30Speaker 1: oldie quimen. Now. I'd love for you to be a
- 46:32Speaker 1: member of the church with us, but I can't. I mean,
- 46:34Speaker 1: why are you calling up here threatening me? Hey, bro,
- 46:37Speaker 1: because because I came up there three times, three times.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I he came there to see my cousin saying. You know,

- 46:48Speaker 1: we you know, we grew up listening to Latrise st.
- 46:51Speaker 1: So what I'm saying, I'm gonna say this here though,
- 46:53Speaker 1: and I said it, I didn't say it twice already.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I'm coming up there Sunday. If the trees might go out.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Bro let me just cut you off real quick. Ain't
- 47:04Speaker 1: no way that you're gonna come up here and whoop
- 47:06Speaker 1: nobody's ass. Man, That just ain't gonna happen. Like I
- 47:09Speaker 1: told you, it's a glitch. But you ain't coming up
- 47:10Speaker 1: to the church talking all this ship and then you're

- 52:38Speaker 1: live like we're doing this one. All right, let's go
- 52:41Speaker 1: to boggle up. Hold on tight, we gotta call you here.
- 52:44Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letters. Subject. I thought I found
- 52:48Speaker 1: the perfect man. Is there such a thing? We'll find out,
- 52:53Speaker 1: all right, Dear Seton Shirley. I know I am a
- 52:55Speaker 1: hard working, educated, financially secure, good looking, mature woman with
- 53:01Speaker 1: a lot to offer. But since my divorce, I've been
- 53:04Speaker 1: having trouble with dating because the men I meet say
- 53:08Speaker 1: that I have too many prerequisites and they lose interest.
- 53:12Speaker 1: My goal was to meet a man aged fifty five
- 53:14Speaker 1: to sixty five, but instead I finally met a man
- 53:17Speaker 1: that is seventy five years old. Oh this is five
- 53:21Speaker 1: years older than yesterday. Okay, he's retired and he's everything
- 53:25Speaker 1: that I looked for in a man. He's a sharp dresser,
- 53:28Speaker 1: good looking, financially stable, and he has good morals. In
- 53:33Speaker 1: the beginning, he wanted to come over every night and
- 53:36Speaker 1: get busy, but I still have to go to work,
- 53:39Speaker 1: so I had to cut him back to two to
- 53:40Speaker 1: three nights per week and Saturday. RE enjoy going out
- 53:46Speaker 1: together and we've even had a nice vacation together. There's
- 53:51Speaker 1: just one problem. He refuses to go to church with me.
- 53:55Speaker 1: This past Sunday, he got mad at me and told
- 53:57Speaker 1: me to stop nagging him about church. I could easily
- 54:00Speaker 1: fall in love with this man and we talk about
- 54:02Speaker 1: our future and getting married, but the church issue upsets me.
- 54:06Speaker 1: When we talk about marriage, I told him I could
- 54:08Speaker 1: never say yes if he does not say yes to
- 54:10Speaker 1: going to church. He told me that he will eventually
- 54:13Speaker 1: just show up one Sunday, but it will be on
- 54:15Speaker 1: his own terms, not because of my nagging. What advice
- 54:19Speaker 1: do you have for me? My sister says, I'm acting
- 54:22Speaker 1: crazy and I should marry this man. He does not
- 54:25Speaker 1: think it's a big deal. By the way, he does
- 54:27Speaker 1: meet all of my other prerequisites. So what are your thoughts.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Your thoughts are that I My thoughts are that I
- 54:33Speaker 1: agree wholeheartedly with your sister. You can't nag him. Nobody
- 54:38Speaker 1: wants to be nagged. You don't want to be nagged.
- 54:42Speaker 1: He says he's going to show up to church on
- 54:44Speaker 1: his own terms. Let him do that, Okay, let him
- 54:47Speaker 1: do it on his own terms. He may, you know,
- 54:50Speaker 1: not like your church for some reason, or you know,
- 54:53Speaker 1: maybe it takes him a minute to get in the
- 54:55Speaker 1: spirit or whatever. Give him time. I mean, you guys
- 54:58Speaker 1: haven't even been together that long for you to be
- 55:02Speaker 1: making these kinds of demands on him. And probably if
- 55:05Speaker 1: you'd let it go, he would show up to church
- 55:07Speaker 1: with you one day. Come on, now, I don't think
- 55:11Speaker 1: this is such a major issue that you have to
- 55:13Speaker 1: nag him and nag him and nag him about it.
- 55:16Speaker 1: This man is seventy five years old. You're a mature woman.
- 55:20Speaker 1: You didn't say your age. But anyway, so far it's
- 55:24Speaker 1: working out nicely. I mean, he's a good dresser, he's
- 55:26Speaker 1: good looking, financially stable. You said in your letter, he
- 55:30Speaker 1: has good morals. Okay, he has good morals. So I
- 55:35Speaker 1: think you're putting pressure on this man. I think just
- 55:38Speaker 1: smooth it out. Weigh a little bit, but definitely stop
- 55:41Speaker 1: nagging him, or guess what, you're gonna lose him. I'm
- 55:44Speaker 1: gonna tell you nobody likes to be nagged. Steve surely
- 55:49Speaker 1: one thousand percent correct. Hell both y'all old, both for
- 55:56Speaker 1: y'all old, oh her and the man you didn't want
- 55:59Speaker 1: to say, Yo, man, But you come talking about you
- 56:01Speaker 1: want a man between fifty five and sixty five. Well
- 56:04Speaker 1: he's seventy five, Yeah, but he still looks killed. Want
- 56:07Speaker 1: to go to church? He don't want to go to church.
- 56:12Speaker 1: He is sharp dresser, he looked good. He treats you right.
- 56:15Speaker 1: He checks off all the blocks and blocks in every category.
- 56:19Speaker 1: And you talking about they talking about marriage. You can't sect.
- 56:24Speaker 1: He can't say. You can't say yes to him unless
- 56:27Speaker 1: he say yes till you, till you going to church,
- 56:30Speaker 1: to him going to church with you. I have news
- 56:33Speaker 1: for you. The reason I'm talking like this is color
- 56:35Speaker 1: bit up all night trying to put myself mine is
- 56:39Speaker 1: a little congestion. I have to apologize again. That's what
- 56:43Speaker 1: you mean. You've been up all night exactly what I mean.
- 56:47Speaker 1: I'm in here catching hell. I should have been in
- 56:50Speaker 1: the bed with my old seventy five. I don't know
- 56:56Speaker 1: what the hell up, man, I don't know what I
- 56:58Speaker 1: was thinking about, but I can't do this, I've hurt
- 57:01Speaker 1: him right sitting up in here. Let's get back to
- 57:06Speaker 1: the letter. He said, if he don't want to go
- 57:08Speaker 1: to church, you nagging him to go to church. Now,
- 57:12Speaker 1: I have personal experience with this. My father didn't go
- 57:17Speaker 1: to church much. My mother and father were married for
- 57:21Speaker 1: sixty four years. I remember my father would go twice
- 57:25Speaker 1: a year, sometimes on Easter and sometimes Christmas or Mother's Day,
- 57:30Speaker 1: and my dad would go a couple of times a year.
- 57:33Speaker 1: He went a little bit more later on, but my
- 57:36Speaker 1: dad was never much of a church goer. My dad
- 57:39Speaker 1: was one to find this man I ever knew because
- 57:42Speaker 1: he liked this man said, you say he's very moral.
- 57:46Speaker 1: My father was a righteous man. He was righteous man.
- 57:51Speaker 1: This dude, he was just a good dude. Now you're
- 57:55Speaker 1: gonna pass up on this man, like your sisters say,
- 57:58Speaker 1: you being crazy? First of all, well, how are you
- 58:01Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna find another one of these shop dressing
- 58:08Speaker 1: We're all meaning seventify you old men that ain't got nobody,
- 58:14Speaker 1: They're not everywhere. How you found this one is beyond me,
- 58:18Speaker 1: or how he found you, it is beyond me. I
- 58:20Speaker 1: do not know. But I'll tell you what though you
- 58:23Speaker 1: better stay with this man if I was you. Now,
- 58:27Speaker 1: when we come back, I'm gonna take a different approach
- 58:31Speaker 1: to why I think he don't want to go. All right,
- 58:38Speaker 1: all right, we'll let burt two if teams to respond,
- 58:40Speaker 1: tickle them coming out? Are your past? Yeah? So yeah.
- 58:58Speaker 1: The subject of the Oberry letter today, I thought sales
- 59:03Speaker 1: sermons on tape after services. I thought I thought I
- 59:09Speaker 1: found the perfect man. Part two of Steve's response coming
- 59:12Speaker 1: up at twenty three after the hour. You're listening to
- 59:16Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 59:19Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. Subject I thought I found the
- 59:22Speaker 1: perfect man. Hello, this letter is simple. What I told you.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I'm tired. Now listen to me, Mad, I'm on a delay.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Come on, damn it, I'm on a delay. Not my system.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Your stuff is working fine? Oh yeah, I'm on Steve
- 59:48Speaker 1: Harvey got mentally on a delay. You would just sleep
- 59:53Speaker 1: strayed up all night long like I'm foughting. It hurts,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: don't it hurt? I can't do it? All right, Steve
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: coming back to the letter though seventy five years old.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: This real simple, This lady Dayton, this man, he's at everything,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: and she's ever wanting man seventy five shot dropping, still
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: sleeping with him and all this health to get busy
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: whenever you want to. But he don't want to go
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: church with him. It's just that what's wrong with the church. Though,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Now we're gonna get into that seat. My father didn't
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: go to church much either, So that don't make you
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: a bad person. You can be very righteous person not
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: be an attendee of church. But now you're saying you've
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: talked about marriage with him, but if he can't say
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: yes to go on to church, you can't say yes
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: to getting married. Well, he keeps he's pretty adamant that
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you nagging him about this church. Maybe he don't won't
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: go to your church? Yes? Fine, Now, first question? Does
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: your church seill the sermon on CD or audio after service?
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: A lot of churches? Has he heard a see everybody
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: pastor came preach? This is true? See what I Maybe
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: he don't want to sit up there to that dry sermon?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: He what type of church you go? Is it Methodist?
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Well that don't matter, do it that? No? I'm just
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: asking a question because it's it's Methodist. Ain't no drums?
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: She didn't tambourines are good talks. She's a nuts. Okay, well,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: whatever it is. Maybe your pastor is dry unless here
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: is another thing. Maybe what's the name of yo? Oh?
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Maybe your pastor's dry. Now here's the next question. What's
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: the name of your qui? What do you mean? What
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: do you mean youth? If it's got one of them names,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: that mean? They don't sound like the gospel song birds?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Don't nobody do? They don't never sound good. Your old
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: crows up that soude the song birds sing they got
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: on craig row. Yeah, not with you. Don't nobody want
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: to sit through that? Yeah, don't nobody don't know. I
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: just wanted to see how I can phrase this and't
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: call and let me say, yeah, careful. I don't think
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: your pastor and your quir is up to Paul. That's
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: all I have to say. And I think that that's
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: just been demoralizing for them to have to sit through
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: the services that you're doing. Next question, is your church
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: or stove front next to a liquor stoke? See, maybe
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: he's a former alcoholic. He can't go down there next
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: to that liquor stoke and sit there and try to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: make it. Maybe it's a zoning issue with the church,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: and then those zon inities in the hood liquor stoke,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: check cashing players, church dey kill yeah, and the motail
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: motel or day kill check cashing place or churches oh yeah,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: chicken yeah then or somebody selling chicken. This answer to
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: this is all over the place because I've been apologize
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: for this response to the Strawberry letter. Steve gotta do
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: you boo now? He was crazy today, Mark Tomorrow, I
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: got to be at work. I gotta do three shows
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: man talk shows. Okay, so so at some point you
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: need to get some sleep, is what you're saying. Excuse me, Shirley, Steve,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: what is the advice to the lady that wrote the letter.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I'm trying to get it out of him. Yeah, we'll
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: get her cheercast and go to the chicken house and
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I go to cher He just not coming. Stop nagging
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: him what to tell her going down. He's got to
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: stop agging him though, she's got to You're gonna lose.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I would say, gold, don't worry about it, because, man,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: let me tell you something, it's hard to find good man.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: And he's a good man. He righteous, He just don't
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: go to church much. Now, he may eventually like my father. Dude,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: my father ended up going to church quite often, but
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you know she didn't do it. Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: All right, Well, thank you, Steve. Uh email us your
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: instagram as your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve

- 1:05:36Speaker 1: you hired him, You hired him. No, you gotta keep
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: saying that. Ye, ladies in general, without further ado, a
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: man that needs an introduction because well he's here so seldom,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: ladies in general, jee think brown. Okay, okay, I'm putting
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: together yeah, first putting together my own film. I've started
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: production of my own film. You've seen The Nutcracker. Everybody's
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: seen The Nutcracker. We've finished with production right before Christmas.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: The name of my film is called The Big Black Nutcracker.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: We're gonna make it up different than what you're going
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the Big, the Big Black Nutcracker. You know the story
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: of the Nutcrackers, YadA, YadA, YadA. We all know the story. Well,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: this is she falls in love with a guy who
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: comes to It's the Strippers by the stripper who falls
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: in love with a guy who comes to the strip
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: club and it goes by the name of Big Black
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Nuts and to save the script club. Now this is
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: the what what is wrong? I understand you. So, So
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: we're looking for dancers. We're looking for dancers we want
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: and I don't want to offend anybody about what I want.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I don't. I don't it don't. I want people. I
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: don't want overweight. I don't want heavy set, chunky, I
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: don't want thick. I don't I want fat people because
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: these are my ballerinas. I want fat people, really fat.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: If you heavy set, don't even audition. We don't want
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: to be bothered with you. We want you fat. We
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: want fat people that can stand on their toes and
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: catch other fat people. That's what I want. That's what
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I want. Production. Yeah, that's production. Yeah, you know, because
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I always got this little thin ass ballerinas and that's
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: good and that's nice. But in that big relaxed fat
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: people that have no problem catching other fat people. And
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: like I said, if you overwear and you kind of junky,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: pleasantly plum thick bone curve, don't even bother. Don't bother
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: sending me a tape now, I want all production tapes
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: to be sent to Big Black Nutcrackers, and all your
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: tapes to Big Black Nutcracker. Now, I got some people
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: that have signed on that are gonna already be in
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: the film. Oh, Kurt, Kurt Franklin is gonna be playing
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: the part of Baby Jesus. Now, I know what you're saying.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Baby Jesus ain't in the Big Black Nutcracker. Oh, he
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: ain't in a Nutcracker, but he's gonna be in nuts
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: production because he said he would do it, so I
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: wrote him apart. So he's gonna play the part of

- 1:15:17Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Clo Yes,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: I'm excited. This one is from Corey and Mississippi. You're ready, right,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: let's do it. I've been married for sixteen years. My
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: wife and I own a liquor store and a nail salon,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: and there's a small space in the back of the
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: nail salon that we haven't decided what to do with.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: My wife went behind my back and had a contractor
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: look at the space, and when I found out, she
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: told me that she's opening a last studio in that space.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: We're equal partners in other businesses, but she never does
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: any work at either one of them, so now she's
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: trying to make her own money without me. This doesn't
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: sit right with me, and I told her I'd take
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: her to court over it. Am I right or wrong? Dog?
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: You got taking the court over. All you gotta do
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: is get to get All you gotta do is walk
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: up to the contractor. You ain't getting paid, dog, I
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: don't understand. No, no, listen to me. Ain't nobody if
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: it to pay you? So see. So I don't think
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: it's a court issue. I don't know how y'all going
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to court. And I don't know but the lashes and nails.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I don't know how y'all's business is doing, if it's
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: working well, But I bet it ain't topping that liquor
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: stoe though not in the sill. Liquor stoles is big
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: in Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, Chattanooga. Why don't y'all expand
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: the liquor stoe? They do a bar. This's b wild
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: b He's pretty bitter though talking about court. You're right, yeah,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: you ain't gonna do that, man, Yeah, okay. Chandrea and
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Memphis says, I'm a thirty four year old female and
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: I was dating a sixty year old married man. Sixty
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: year old married man. His wife found out and called
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: me and asked me to meet with her. I felt
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: so bad that I agreed to talk to her face
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: to face. I was shocked at how beautiful and put
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: together she is. She said her husband cheats all the time,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: and she loves him so much that she would never
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: leave him. She offered me fifteen hundred dollars if i'd
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: leave him alone. I genuinely liked her, so I promised
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: her I was not going to see him anymore, and
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I told her to keep her money. I'm trying to
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: keep my promise to her. But her husband won't leave
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: me alone. Should I tell him? I met his wife
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: and told her everything. Get the money though? Why right there?
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Let me who first thing? Yeah? Well, I don't you know.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I think think it was a smart, cool thing of
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: you not to take on money. Uh, you know, but
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I think you should just leave a guy alone. Just say, hey, look,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: I met with your wife. I really respect her. I
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: felt bad about what I'm doing, and uh, she told
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: me about how you are and you seeing other people,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: So go see them other people coming up. It is
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and we'll have some
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: closing remark from the one and only, our fearless leader,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Steven Harvey with his crazy self. That's coming up with
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Here we are last break of the day. Time for
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: you to get us some closing remarks like you always do.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Let's go hey, uh, you know something that I've been learning.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: I've been uh. I do this morning meditation every morning
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: now and I've really been kind of loyal to it,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: you know, for the past month, and it's really really
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: helped me out. Somebody sent this to me today. I
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: was talking to a businessman this morning about a business
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: opportunity I was looking at, and I was just going
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: over He's a spiritual guy, and I was going over
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: with him my dreams and aspirations and he sort of
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: asked me what I was thinking about. And when I
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: told him, come to find out man, he was on
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: the same page, and he sent me a scripture and
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: he taught He said, I want you to read every morning,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: because I told him I had this morning this morning meditation,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: and I told him that I read it every morning.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: I have a list of things that first of all,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: I read a list of things that I thank God
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: for every morning, which is a list about between forty
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: five and fifty things that I thank him for something
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: like that. And then I have a list of about
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: the same number of things that I'm asking and for
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: and I read these two lists every single morning. After
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I do my meditation and read my daily verses and
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: my inspirational messages and stuff. I just try to stay focused,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: you know, in the world I'm in as well as
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: the world you in. You know, I need as much
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: help as I can get. I don't know how you
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: all feel about it, but I need all the I
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: need all the inspiration, I need all the confidence. I
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: need the assuredness that having relationship with God provides. Man,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I'm just gonna be real with you. And so he
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: told me to read this verse every morning Psalms five
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: and three, you know, if you get a chance to
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: read it, you know, and it talks about talking to
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: God and what in essence, I'm a paraphrase to Scripture.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: In essence, it was, what you're asking God to do
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: is to hear you when you cry out for help
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: every day as you pray. And you're asking God in
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: essence to hear your voice in the morning that I
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: pray to you. And then the things that you ask
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: God for in the morning, you let him know that
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: you be waiting expectantly to hear from Him about all
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: these things. And it's just a great way to start
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: your day. But the part that really caught my attention
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: was after I thank God for all this stuff on
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: this list, and then I ask God for this stuff.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: The part that I think I was missing was each
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: and every day I do, I believe it's gonna happen,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: but every day I'm supposed to wait expectantly in anticipation
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: of what I've asked for to happen. Now, it doesn't
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: mean everything's going to happen that day, but it does
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: mean that the process of all these things occurring is
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: well underway. And if you behave that way, if you
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: act that way, if you put out that way, those
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: are the things that return yearning to you. And that's
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: one of the very very important things that I got
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: from this guy when he sent me the scripture. You
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: could read it for yourself in Psalms five and three,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: and it's very very helpful. And I use a New
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: Living version of it so I can understand it better
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: than the King's James version because I read both, and
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I just understand it better when I go to the
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: new translation of it. And I just try to encourage
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: people man to form a relationship with God, because like
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: it's really cool, and you know something we all should do.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: We were all created in His image. God made every
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: last one of us, and you know we all children
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: in His no matter what color, no matter what faith
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: you belong to. And in that regard, I mean, you know,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: he just wants to hear from us, he really does.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: He just wants to know that we want to share
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: relationship with him. And so I found the more you
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: do that, man, the more confidence you have, the more
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: calmness can come your way, and you stop wearing about stuff,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: because a lot of times, man, if you look off
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: into your day, as your day unfolds in front of you,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you're going to see a lot of choice points along
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: the way. You're gonna have a lot of points along
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: the way where you have to make choices, you know,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: and all these possibilities, all these choices, they can be
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: confusing at times. And in this confusion you need to
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: get focused back and turn all this confusion and all
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: these worries and troubles and turn them over to Him,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: because really, man, life gets really troublesome at times for
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: all of us. And it's just times, man, where you
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: can't cope with everything that's happening to you because it
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: all the way seems like either nothing's happening at all,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: or everything's happening at once, and both of them situations
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: is bad. I mean, if you're sitting up there and
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: ain't nothing happening at all, you need some help, man.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: And then when everything happens all at once, you need
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: some help. Man. So either way, if you look at
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: this thing, you're gonna need some help from God. You
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: really really are. And so the best way to do it, man,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: it's just have a concert communication with him. Just talk
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: to him more today than The cool thing about it
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: is you could be just like me and have a
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: relationship with him. You don't have to be perfect, you
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: really don't. And I got news for you. Ain't nobody perfect.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: No way. You can quit listening to them people talking
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: about how they're walking on that little white line and
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: they don't ever get off, because they do. They get
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: off all the time. Just have relationship with God. Okay,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: do that. It'll help you out. Those are my closing remarks.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: All right, all right, drop it, that's dropped. Your life
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: is hard. Just gonna have a talk with God. Hey man,
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: guess what, y'all have a great weekend. Man. I am
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: be positive. That's my blood type of my attitude, I
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: love for all. Steve Harvey Contests No purchase necessary, void
