- 0:38Speaker 1: join join me in doing me. Honey, you gotta turn you,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn the turnour got to turn out, turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your back
- 1:59Speaker 1: at h huh, I sure will. Good morning, everybody. Are
- 2:05Speaker 1: you listening to the voice? Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I got something for you today. I'm gonna have a
- 2:19Speaker 1: conversation this morning about my understanding of grace now that
- 2:25Speaker 1: I've gotten older and I've come in to a better
- 2:27Speaker 1: understanding of a lot of things I didn't know about
- 2:30Speaker 1: when I was younger. This is just my interpretation of grace.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Now once again, y'all listen to me. I ain't nobody's pastor,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I ain't nobody's minister. So you know, I'm pretty sure
- 2:44Speaker 1: you can go to church and get a far more
- 2:47Speaker 1: extensive definition of one I'm giving you. I'm just talking
- 2:50Speaker 1: to people, you know, Grace is this thing that that
- 2:54Speaker 1: God provides for us. And grace it's just things that
- 3:02Speaker 1: you get that's really undeserving, you know. I mean, I
- 3:06Speaker 1: look at my life as it is today. You know. Look,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I work hard and I have faith in God that
- 3:12Speaker 1: I do so things are going to happen in my life.
- 3:15Speaker 1: But the way my life is now, I don't. I don't.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I don't deserve all of this. I don't don't. I
- 3:21Speaker 1: don't look at it that way. I have been the
- 3:24Speaker 1: beneficiary of God's grace. I have aligned myself in a
- 3:29Speaker 1: position to accept whatever grace God has for me, and
- 3:34Speaker 1: it will be far abundant and exceedingly in anything you
- 3:39Speaker 1: could think of. His grace supersedes anything you could possibly imagine.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know, the goals that I set and the aspirations
- 3:48Speaker 1: that I shoot for, and the things that I have
- 3:50Speaker 1: on my dream board. I have the faith that God
- 3:53Speaker 1: will give it to me. But what He does with grace,
- 3:55Speaker 1: he gives you far more than that. He gives you
- 3:58Speaker 1: what He has for you, not what you can see.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You can't see all He has for you. It's impossible.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Who are you? How can you possibly imagine what he
- 4:08Speaker 1: can imagine? How can you possibly think how he can think? How?
- 4:11Speaker 1: How can you possibly do what he can do? How
- 4:14Speaker 1: can it be that isn't a single mind living or
- 4:18Speaker 1: a collection of minds that could have thought of earth?
- 4:22Speaker 1: What in your wildest imagination could have made you think
- 4:25Speaker 1: of Earth? The stars, the heavens, the oceans, the galaxy,
- 4:31Speaker 1: the constellations. What in your mind? What in any man's mind.
- 4:36Speaker 1: We can point at it and analyze it, but we
- 4:38Speaker 1: show it couldn't have thought of it. So come on now,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I'm talking about lining yourself up with God's grace, which
- 4:48Speaker 1: he will give to you if you if you want
- 4:50Speaker 1: some of it now. But now, his thing about grace,
- 4:53Speaker 1: it can't be bought. If it could, if it could
- 4:55Speaker 1: be bought, I'm telling you I would pour all the
- 4:59Speaker 1: money I have and dump it into grace, because, after
- 5:04Speaker 1: discovering what it is, it's this goodness that God shines
- 5:09Speaker 1: on you simply as a reward of some type for
- 5:14Speaker 1: his love for you and for you attempting for you
- 5:18Speaker 1: attempting to do right, not because you get it right.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Because if He judged us purely on how we are
- 5:25Speaker 1: the right and wrong of it, we would all be doomed,
- 5:28Speaker 1: all of us, Every last one of us would be
- 5:32Speaker 1: doomed because we all fall short, we all make mistakes,
- 5:37Speaker 1: we all sin, we all get it wrong from time
- 5:41Speaker 1: to time. Nobody's perfect. Man. Now I understand what my
- 5:46Speaker 1: mother was saying about cleaning the house. All I want
- 5:49Speaker 1: is a little more grace. All I need is a
- 5:52Speaker 1: little more grace when the last time you ask God
- 5:55Speaker 1: for some grace. Now I'm not talking to you like
- 5:57Speaker 1: I know everything. If you just benefit from His grace,
- 6:01Speaker 1: which you already have, but if you're not aware of it,
- 6:05Speaker 1: you don't know what's going on. Become aware of grace,
- 6:09Speaker 1: Get aware of the fact that God does things for
- 6:12Speaker 1: you simply because He loves you. He does things for
- 6:15Speaker 1: you that you don't even deserve. Somehow, you just wonder
- 6:18Speaker 1: how you just got over when you didn't even do
- 6:21Speaker 1: the things to get over. Sometimes you don't even know
- 6:25Speaker 1: how you got that job you got when you ain't
- 6:27Speaker 1: even really do the things to get to job. How
- 6:30Speaker 1: you end up where you are all education you thought
- 6:33Speaker 1: you went and got and had, how you end up
- 6:35Speaker 1: where you are today in a much better position than
- 6:38Speaker 1: your education could have ever gotten you. That's grace. How
- 6:42Speaker 1: I get every place I am today. I didn't plan this. Man,
- 6:46Speaker 1: If I could have planned my life the way it is,
- 6:48Speaker 1: don't you know how to have done it when I
- 6:49Speaker 1: was living in that car? If I knew how to
- 6:52Speaker 1: do it. No, I benefited from his grace. I'm just
- 6:56Speaker 1: a beneficiary of his grace, of his goodness and his mercy.
- 7:02Speaker 1: God's goodness is better than your goodness. God's goodness is
- 7:06Speaker 1: better than your mother's goodness. It's better than your wife's
- 7:09Speaker 1: or your husband or your booze goodness. God's goodness is different.
- 7:15Speaker 1: His goodness Man covers some stuff you can't even imagine.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So why are you trying to put your life together
- 7:22Speaker 1: when the last time you asked him for just a
- 7:24Speaker 1: little bit of grace. When have you thought of your
- 7:29Speaker 1: life in terms of the grace that it has already
- 7:32Speaker 1: benefited from? Have you ever done that? Man? Just thought
- 7:36Speaker 1: about you know? You hear songs like my soul looked
- 7:38Speaker 1: back and wonder how I got over. That's grace. That's
- 7:41Speaker 1: all I can call it. Now. Like I said, you
- 7:43Speaker 1: can go to church or somewherever you want to, and
- 7:46Speaker 1: ministers that the wind at school to teach this thing
- 7:49Speaker 1: way better than me. I'm just giving you from a
- 7:51Speaker 1: layman standpoint, Man, have you thought about his grace? Would
- 7:55Speaker 1: you not bewailed to be a beneficiary of his grace?
- 7:58Speaker 1: Would it not? Certain? Now check this out. The better
- 8:02Speaker 1: you try to do, the more grace he'll give to you.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And that grace can't be bought. Like I said, it's free.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You can't purchase grace. But the better you try to
- 8:13Speaker 1: become the more the more grace he gets to put
- 8:15Speaker 1: your way. So man, just try why don't you just
- 8:20Speaker 1: try to do better? Look, man, quick tip. Mind, I'm
- 8:23Speaker 1: gonna start next week. I'm gonna start at the new year.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Now you now, you do that every year, you know
- 8:28Speaker 1: the ems at the new year. I'm eat better at
- 8:30Speaker 1: the new year. I'm gonna I'm gonna gonna get in
- 8:32Speaker 1: here and the new year. If you're gonna do it,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you're gonna do it now. Man, You're gonna do not
- 8:38Speaker 1: stop trying to do something, do it, stop talking about it,
- 8:43Speaker 1: do it now. The best way to benefit from his
- 8:45Speaker 1: grace is starting action now in old w now right
- 8:52Speaker 1: now today. What you're waiting on. All you're doing is
- 8:55Speaker 1: delaying his opportunity to bless you. You know, man, you know,
- 9:00Speaker 1: do you know how many times we do that, we
- 9:02Speaker 1: delay his opportunity to bless us by not starting now.
- 9:07Speaker 1: If you're gonna get healthy, why don't you start now?
- 9:10Speaker 1: Now you're gonna trip a little bit called the holidays coming.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But you ain't got to eat bad all the time.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You could start eating correct today you could, you could,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and then guess what that could be? Some grace on
- 9:21Speaker 1: the end of that. I'm just giving you a little
- 9:23Speaker 1: cheap analogy. But do you feel what I'm saying to you?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Start thinking in terms of grace? What He has done
- 9:30Speaker 1: for you and provided for you that you ain't even
- 9:32Speaker 1: see coming. That you know, you keep calling them blessings
- 9:35Speaker 1: And I got that a lot of it, and now
- 9:36Speaker 1: it's all it is. But man, have you thought about
- 9:39Speaker 1: the stuff that didn't happen to you? You can't account
- 9:41Speaker 1: for I. For me, that's been grace and I'm beneficiary
- 9:47Speaker 1: of it. And that's available to everybody that won't sull
- 9:50Speaker 1: Next time you're talking to him, just check in with grace.
- 9:53Speaker 1: See what that is. That's that's better than money. You're listening.
- 10:01Speaker 1: May have your attention, please, May I have your undivided attention? Please?
- 10:08Speaker 1: Now the long awaited return is hill. He back, he rested,
- 10:20Speaker 1: he back back in mow Black, I got some rest.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I found new level of hignorance. Oh, I'm I'm fronted.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm overjoyed. What is this? What is this that I
- 10:46Speaker 1: feel inside? Hey? That keeps said in my soul to
- 10:56Speaker 1: fire you? Hey, Steve, be back on the Steve Harvey
- 11:02Speaker 1: Morning Show. Before I get started, I want to thank
- 11:05Speaker 1: my incredible Crewe for holding it down ladies, and the

- 11:42Speaker 1: to tell y'all that I missed. Y'all, you're gonna be ing.
- 11:46Speaker 1: You ain't got to lie, no, but let's just hold
- 11:50Speaker 1: that for a later dinner. Well, how was it, Steve Man?
- 11:58Speaker 1: I can't even I don't even know where to talk
- 12:00Speaker 1: so much, it's so much. First of all, I'm gonna
- 12:03Speaker 1: talk about Africa tomorrow. I can't talk about Africa to
- 12:06Speaker 1: day because I don't want to I don't want to
- 12:08Speaker 1: come back with that story first day back, so let's
- 12:11Speaker 1: just talk about all the joy your stuff, even though
- 12:14Speaker 1: Africa means more to me now than it's ever meant
- 12:18Speaker 1: to me. But we'll get into that. But let's just
- 12:20Speaker 1: talk about it because I was so overjoyed but overwhelmed
- 12:25Speaker 1: in Africa. I don't want to get into the overwhelmedness
- 12:27Speaker 1: to day, so let's just talk about the other part.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Ask me anything, Okay, Okay, I got I got the
- 12:35Speaker 1: questions year How hard was you balling? Yeah, that's it.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Let's go show us how to do it. Ask this question,
- 12:46Speaker 1: how hard can the ball get? The level was made
- 12:54Speaker 1: out of concrete? You batn ask Brod. I thought I
- 13:02Speaker 1: was far of got it. You're missing it. Tell your
- 13:04Speaker 1: tea for whow. I'm just glad you're raising. I always
- 13:11Speaker 1: love you. Back up front vacation because yeah, yeah, he's
- 13:14Speaker 1: on another end. So listen. I don't know what y'all
- 13:18Speaker 1: got playing for the show, but this is what we're
- 13:20Speaker 1: gonna do. Come back. Y'all can ask me questions about
- 13:24Speaker 1: what I happened, what I did, anything, but be specific
- 13:27Speaker 1: so I can answer questions, all right, questions all morning? Steve.
- 13:31Speaker 1: This is called Stevens Back money. All right, you heard
- 13:35Speaker 1: it from the man yourself. We will be back with
- 13:37Speaker 1: Steven's back Monday at thirty two after the hour right
- 13:41Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steven Show. All right, it's Monday.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Steve Harvey is back. Halleluh. Yeah, Steve Harvey is back
- 13:53Speaker 1: on them all and in show. Hu with so much
- 13:57Speaker 1: to tell, all the places he I got somewhere he
- 14:04Speaker 1: didn't told it scene, lots of twirls. Steve Harvard and
- 14:09Speaker 1: messed around on the other side of the world. All right, Tommy,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you have a question. Yeah, that was great. Let's get
- 14:20Speaker 1: to it, all right, big dog, What did you do?
- 14:23Speaker 1: That's so baller that I wish I could do everything
- 14:30Speaker 1: the whole trip? Okay, all right, okay, okay, okay, all right,
- 14:37Speaker 1: let me start it for you. We landed for the
- 14:40Speaker 1: first time in Venice. I've never gone to me. So
- 14:45Speaker 1: when you leave the airport, they pick you up in
- 14:47Speaker 1: a boat. So you board the boat and now you
- 14:51Speaker 1: head across the bay or whatever it is. I did
- 14:54Speaker 1: not know this, I promise you I didn't and I'm
- 14:57Speaker 1: not making it up. I did not know that that
- 14:59Speaker 1: are no streets in Venice, I didn't know that there
- 15:04Speaker 1: are no streets for car traffic. Gondola it's you water
- 15:11Speaker 1: taxis and gondolas gondolas, so that's how you get around.
- 15:19Speaker 1: So what I'm trying to tell you is, if you
- 15:22Speaker 1: gotta take a boat to get somewhere, you need to
- 15:24Speaker 1: know where Craig House had. You need to know exactly
- 15:31Speaker 1: where Craig House hat. Don't go over there looking to
- 15:34Speaker 1: for rivera dirty's house and you ain't shown because if
- 15:38Speaker 1: it's on the other side, Partner, you can't like cut
- 15:41Speaker 1: through the alley or turn down this corner and double
- 15:44Speaker 1: back down. You in a boat, a skinny boat, you
- 15:47Speaker 1: can't make you terms. So that was for starters man.
- 15:51Speaker 1: That was Venice. And my wife's dream was to ride
- 15:56Speaker 1: on a gondola, so her dream did it the first
- 16:02Speaker 1: we got there, So that was pretty amazing. Did the
- 16:05Speaker 1: people know you in Venice? It? Yeah? Yeah, what happened Steve.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But it started with some black people from New York.
- 16:18Speaker 1: That's how I started. I was doing fine where from
- 16:24Speaker 1: I was trying to lead black people from New York
- 16:27Speaker 1: saw and it started with no, it ain't, no, it ain't.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I then I heard oh hey, that's the one. All
- 16:43Speaker 1: I heard was oh hey, no, and that was it.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You turn around, Yes, the blanket and blanket. I've been blake, blake.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I'll say, what's up, bro. I told y'all that was it.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And then some other people started noticing, and then it
- 17:05Speaker 1: was only cracking. Man. It was wow, regular, regular day,
- 17:10Speaker 1: first day. How many seagulls did you smoke on this trip? Here? Oh,
- 17:15Speaker 1: let me see? Oh a lot? He was balling, he
- 17:21Speaker 1: was ba Yeah, did you go over your limit for
- 17:26Speaker 1: the year? Yeah? Yeah, I might have to go to
- 17:29Speaker 1: the docket to get checked gold leaves, y go ahead.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I might have to just go to Cuba and make
- 17:43Speaker 1: sure everybody is rested from But it was like amazing, man,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and Venice was amazing. Then we loft Venice and we
- 17:54Speaker 1: went to hu Poola, Croatia, and Croatia I've never been
- 18:01Speaker 1: and we wanted to try something new, and so we
- 18:03Speaker 1: did that. And so we're going down the coastline of Croatia, man,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and it's like breathtakingly beautiful. I've never seen a land
- 18:11Speaker 1: a shoreline like that in my life. Man. It was
- 18:14Speaker 1: just God was all over the place. And then we
- 18:17Speaker 1: stopped in the port where they filmed Game a Throne. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:26Speaker 1: hey saw the castle who had the dragon burnt down
- 18:31Speaker 1: at the end where the queen was standing in the tower.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Hey man, Margie went up there and took pictures on
- 18:38Speaker 1: all go to Margie's instagram. Well she had it on
- 18:41Speaker 1: her story. I don't even know how to work there,
- 18:43Speaker 1: but she took all the pictures. She was on top
- 18:45Speaker 1: of the wall. You could see the entire city, the
- 18:50Speaker 1: castle how they shot it. Uh you know, you could see, uh,
- 18:56Speaker 1: you just saw the hallways, the walkways to look and
- 19:00Speaker 1: the stone in that city is the original stone that's
- 19:04Speaker 1: always been there. I'm talking about now, you know Game
- 19:09Speaker 1: of Thrones, even though it's fictional, you know what I mean.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Those the city that is shot in has the original
- 19:16Speaker 1: stone in it when it was first laid. The most
- 19:19Speaker 1: beautiful stone you've ever seen on the sidewalk. Wow, it was.
- 19:24Speaker 1: And then you could go up the steps where they
- 19:26Speaker 1: shot scenes of game and throw you could see it.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And uh, you know, I bought me some Game of
- 19:30Speaker 1: Throne shirts and you know, a couple and then I
- 19:33Speaker 1: bought me some Game of Throne wine. So I was
- 19:36Speaker 1: drinking my red wine on the boat out of Game
- 19:38Speaker 1: of Throne. Mood. That's how hard I was balling. I
- 19:44Speaker 1: was drinking my wine out out of Game of Throne goblets. Yeah, man,
- 19:58Speaker 1: go back, how Father back up? Captain Father away with you? Man,
- 20:13Speaker 1: that's crazy. Okay, so that was crazy man. Croatia. After Croatia,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I went for the first time to a place called Montenegro.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Montenegro got a brand newport that is owned and bought
- 20:26Speaker 1: by Dubai. Okay, I'm learning, No, what do listen to?
- 20:36Speaker 1: You gotta be hold that story, Steve. We have more
- 20:43Speaker 1: from Steve's incredible vacation, uh coming up right after this. Also,
- 20:49Speaker 1: Reverend Motown is back. Didn't know that Reverend Motown is
- 20:52Speaker 1: back in Deacon def jam church complaints and we'll talk
- 20:57Speaker 1: about all that coming up right after this, you're list
- 21:03Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, Steve is
- 21:05Speaker 1: going to tell us about his Montenegro stop on his
- 21:10Speaker 1: European excursion vacation this year. Bawling, he fell, and then
- 21:18Speaker 1: he got up and balled some more. All right, but
- 21:21Speaker 1: right now it is Monday, and of course it is
- 21:24Speaker 1: time for church complaints. And guess who's back. Not only
- 21:27Speaker 1: is Deacon def Jam in the building. But Reverend Motown
- 21:32Speaker 1: has been out, but he's back today, the same day
- 21:36Speaker 1: as Steve amazing right. I can't with you church complaints.
- 21:41Speaker 1: What's up? He passed here? Deacon here four emma, oh,
- 22:02Speaker 1: we want to first of all, thanks Sister Sherlette or
- 22:08Speaker 1: Sister Carlin, oh junior, Deacon junior, Oh, oh, Real Madden,
- 22:17Speaker 1: or of course or you or d for holding down
- 22:22Speaker 1: the J P j J while I was awake. Man,
- 22:26Speaker 1: it's been a different now, I beg your pardon. It
- 22:31Speaker 1: has been a difficult situation, and I get to it
- 22:34Speaker 1: when we get to the complaints, but it has been
- 22:36Speaker 1: very different. Well, here we are, and let us begin
- 22:39Speaker 1: with church complaints. And no that's not deacon photo complaints start.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Ain't in the mood for it. You just got back
- 22:50Speaker 1: first day. First of all, I will say, well I
- 22:54Speaker 1: come back past. I will say that, but let me
- 22:56Speaker 1: go ahead and be completely that's with you. There are
- 23:00Speaker 1: rumors that we didn't know what was going on. We
- 23:02Speaker 1: didn't know if you was inconcerrated. From my understanding, their
- 23:05Speaker 1: hearing that you was preaching at various churches around the world,
- 23:09Speaker 1: and the members are been upset about your absence. Now
- 23:13Speaker 1: from from what we understand, you hadn't been the Kanye's
- 23:16Speaker 1: church and then spoke there is this truth whoa first
- 23:21Speaker 1: of all, don't welcome me back and did not really
- 23:26Speaker 1: mean the welcome she a welcome back follows with oh,
- 23:32Speaker 1: how I missed you? Maybe a selection from Harold Melvin
- 23:37Speaker 1: and the Blue Note Quartet things of that. Oh did
- 23:43Speaker 1: he break up Misshoe? But you, on the other hand,
- 23:54Speaker 1: questioning that I was preaching around the world. That's what
- 23:59Speaker 1: we Croatia needs saving. Two, I understand the larger donations
- 24:07Speaker 1: than us overheard, what did you bring money back for
- 24:10Speaker 1: the churchs Hello, m the expenses of world travel is great?
- 24:25Speaker 1: What type of expenses are we talking about that? You
- 24:30Speaker 1: go you pretty pasta shrimps and muscle and even thinks
- 24:37Speaker 1: that that we don't normally eat, testing testing out things
- 24:42Speaker 1: egg plant, parmesan, chicken, parmaguidill that okay, money there was
- 24:52Speaker 1: no money bought back, but the donation did help to
- 24:56Speaker 1: make a greater trip. I see, okay, didn't bring money
- 25:03Speaker 1: back for the church. Listen. I have been here struggling
- 25:07Speaker 1: it with this characters, and I have done everything I
- 25:09Speaker 1: can to try to keep this church afloat um as
- 25:13Speaker 1: it right now. Just to let you know what I
- 25:15Speaker 1: have done. The less side of the sanctuary is the
- 25:18Speaker 1: only spot that has air conditions. They wanted they on
- 25:21Speaker 1: ac they have to get there early. That's what I
- 25:23Speaker 1: have done. I have been cutting back here at this
- 25:26Speaker 1: congregation because you have been gone, well you struggling call
- 25:33Speaker 1: you ain't meat but to amen, okay, no, no, no,
- 25:41Speaker 1: no kind of man. Wait it the way trying to
- 25:44Speaker 1: figure yeah, yeah you heard it. But it was like
- 25:49Speaker 1: a question. You you can't say you can't here. Amen.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Let somebody say amen, Amen, Amen, amen, amen, no, no,
- 25:59Speaker 1: this is a amen type of moment. You're cutting back
- 26:04Speaker 1: because you don't know how to ask. Scripture says you
- 26:09Speaker 1: have not caught your ass. No, you started running out
- 26:13Speaker 1: of money, you started cutting off air conditions. Ain't nobody
- 26:16Speaker 1: asked you to cut off the air condition but you
- 26:18Speaker 1: didn't ask to keep the air conditional on that. You're
- 26:21Speaker 1: saying man amen, man, no, not a man, no, no,
- 26:27Speaker 1: not a amen, trying you're putting the negative on top
- 26:31Speaker 1: of polgi. Amen is an agreement term. You can't say
- 26:36Speaker 1: a man, but I'm not agreeing. That's a double constellation.
- 26:44Speaker 1: That's a double constellation a constellations in each other, so
- 26:53Speaker 1: you needn't know your ea. Oh my goodness, that's the
- 27:00Speaker 1: I want to let you know right now that the
- 27:02Speaker 1: congregation has uh, there's a situation going on right now.
- 27:06Speaker 1: There are now there's now a pastorial election because we
- 27:09Speaker 1: didn't know if he was coming back. Right now, there's
- 27:12Speaker 1: twenty three people up for this position. And yeah, you
- 27:19Speaker 1: might want to start a campaigning as soon as pop is.
- 27:22Speaker 1: That's something you would like to say to the congregation
- 27:24Speaker 1: to keep you at this job. Of course. Of course,
- 27:29Speaker 1: I don't know that you're not voting me out because
- 27:33Speaker 1: I'm not stepping up. Yeah, your vote is for no
- 27:37Speaker 1: reason because I'm back. I ain't going nowhere. I take
- 27:41Speaker 1: them other twenty democratical congregational candidates and pack them up
- 27:46Speaker 1: all in the Democratic side of your crack. If you won't,
- 27:52Speaker 1: it's nothing of Shatoya wanted to move for this. I'll
- 27:56Speaker 1: come back now all sudden, y'all trying to Donald Trump
- 27:59Speaker 1: me that ain't ain't no impeachment playing going on up
- 28:02Speaker 1: in here to jack Pot join the drue. I started
- 28:05Speaker 1: this trade. Not true. I'm not run out of my
- 28:09Speaker 1: church by no fool here like like you saw where
- 28:13Speaker 1: you're gonna find yourself playing off from the trade. That's
- 28:18Speaker 1: what you do. Well, who the candidates you got? Look
- 28:20Speaker 1: at you got an old Bishop Biden eating had already
- 28:25Speaker 1: been in under the under Cardinal Obama got. Then you
- 28:30Speaker 1: got the other candidate, Deaconcenders don't make a full turn got.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Then you got first Lady Elizabeth Warren over Hill May
- 28:43Speaker 1: she gonna had to do something. Now she's gonna be
- 28:47Speaker 1: taking pictures. All well, at the top of the hour,
- 28:51Speaker 1: Entertainment and national news right after this, you're listening, Steven.
- 29:00Speaker 1: All right, Steve, first day back, fresh off vacations. Uh,
- 29:04Speaker 1: you know you've told us where you started. You started
- 29:07Speaker 1: in Venice, then you went on up to Croatia. Then
- 29:10Speaker 1: you were telling us about Montenegro. Now tell us about
- 29:14Speaker 1: Montena Venice and I went down the coast of Croatia. Okay,
- 29:19Speaker 1: down next. If you look on my instagram, in Croatia,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I stopped at a muscle farm and an orchard farm,
- 29:27Speaker 1: and about muscles and orchards and washed them myself and
- 29:33Speaker 1: talk trash. So after that went to the first time
- 29:37Speaker 1: ever to this place called Montenegro. And um, you gotta
- 29:41Speaker 1: be careful as a black person cast you know they
- 29:44Speaker 1: being at black and you know you be you don't
- 29:47Speaker 1: be paying one a little tight. They be saying that
- 29:53Speaker 1: real fast and you'd be walking. It's in the nego
- 29:57Speaker 1: that go another negro? What you go another Negro, but
- 30:02Speaker 1: didn't be saying welcome to Monte Nigo and then you know,
- 30:06Speaker 1: so you have to be careful. But anyway, Uh, Dubai
- 30:09Speaker 1: owns this port. It's two ports in Montenegro. It's where
- 30:13Speaker 1: the cruise ships docked. And then there's some more upscale
- 30:16Speaker 1: port on the other side of the bay. So you
- 30:21Speaker 1: go around the corner. It's more some great food over there.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Lots of shops, lots of souvenir shops. Uh they had,
- 30:31Speaker 1: but they had a Louis Verton bags on potato chip racks.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Huh were they real? They had real ever time bags
- 30:41Speaker 1: on potato chip racks. You know how you clip potato
- 30:45Speaker 1: chips on you just scratch. You can shop for a
- 30:48Speaker 1: Louis Vertime bag like that, and it was seventy five
- 30:52Speaker 1: percent off what we didn't have ever I've seen Louis
- 30:56Speaker 1: Vaton on sale. Dog Dog, that wasn't real the case
- 31:04Speaker 1: to them though, Dog I could have flipped them when
- 31:07Speaker 1: you got back. Then they had a ap watch, a
- 31:15Speaker 1: Rolex and and a huge blow in the window, all
- 31:20Speaker 1: of them in the same box. But then they had
- 31:22Speaker 1: a fake Gucci and New York Yankee had combined. I said, what,
- 31:32Speaker 1: So we go around the corner to this other port
- 31:35Speaker 1: and Dubai owns it and it is completely different. It's
- 31:38Speaker 1: one of my favorite places now. It was stunningly clean,
- 31:44Speaker 1: very very nice to see. The views were exquisite, and
- 31:48Speaker 1: the places was just real, real, real nice. And it's
- 31:53Speaker 1: not even completely built up yet, but it's gonna be
- 31:56Speaker 1: one of the hot spots people are gonna go to
- 31:59Speaker 1: Montenegro and so uh, it was just it was a really,
- 32:05Speaker 1: really wonderful place to go. All the Croatia food was good. Yeah,
- 32:12Speaker 1: that's wonderful food. What you eat seafood, I mean, look
- 32:17Speaker 1: you the water, seafood is gonna be fresh. And it
- 32:21Speaker 1: was just it was just an incredible, incredible trip. And
- 32:25Speaker 1: so that was that was that for Croatia. And after
- 32:30Speaker 1: that it just became more. I mean, how you want
- 32:40Speaker 1: to do it? I got more of you need more?
- 32:43Speaker 1: I just we need to stop here so everybody could
- 32:46Speaker 1: catch their breath did go here? Yeah right, all right,
- 32:50Speaker 1: Steve so introduced miss Anne. Please, ladies and gentlemen, here
- 32:53Speaker 1: she is the one and only miss Anne Trip. Thank you, Steve,
- 32:59Speaker 1: Welcome back. This is an trip with the News. In Portland, Oregon, yesterday,
- 33:03Speaker 1: a few hundred Races showed up for their threatened rally. However,
- 33:06Speaker 1: they were met by a much larger group of anti fascists,
- 33:09Speaker 1: so they only stayed about thirty minutes before they were
- 33:11Speaker 1: safely escorted away by local police and then happily marched
- 33:15Speaker 1: and enchanted away across a bridge that had been closed
- 33:18Speaker 1: off to the city's residence. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler says
- 33:20Speaker 1: he understands why his city's targeted by white supremacists. Portland,
- 33:24Speaker 1: being a very progressive community, is always going to be
- 33:27Speaker 1: at or near ground zero when it comes to this battle.
- 33:30Speaker 1: That's just the reality. Thirteen people were arrested. Now. The
- 33:33Speaker 1: Proud Boys have since issued a news release promising to
- 33:37Speaker 1: continue coming to Portland if the mayor there does not
- 33:39Speaker 1: quote remove that's the word they are using the anti
- 33:42Speaker 1: racist and anti fascist group Antifa from the city. By
- 33:45Speaker 1: the way, the Proud Boys have been labeled a hate
- 33:47Speaker 1: group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Portland
- 33:50Speaker 1: Police Bureau has been criticized recently for siding with and
- 33:53Speaker 1: sometimes maintaining friendly relationships with some far right extremists. The
- 33:59Speaker 1: Islamic State claiming responsibility for a horrible bombing a bombing
- 34:03Speaker 1: of a wedding and cobble on Saturday held by the
- 34:05Speaker 1: Minardi Shia ethnic group. They killed at least sixty three people,
- 34:09Speaker 1: fourteen in one family, and they left one hundred and
- 34:11Speaker 1: eighty two others injured. Actor Peter Fonda has died. His
- 34:15Speaker 1: family says that the Oscar nominated actor and writer died
- 34:18Speaker 1: as a result of lung cancer. Peter Fonda was, of
- 34:21Speaker 1: course the son of actor Henry Fonda, the brother of
- 34:24Speaker 1: Jane Fonda. One of his memorable roles was that of
- 34:26Speaker 1: the surfer dude Surfer Dude in the movie Escaped from
- 34:29Speaker 1: La That was Peter Fandi done much much more work
- 34:32Speaker 1: than that, but probably that's the one that people remember
- 34:34Speaker 1: most recently. Peter Fonda was seventy nine years old. Patrick
- 34:40Speaker 1: Pizzella a lobbyist and government official who has reportedly spent
- 34:44Speaker 1: years fighting against workplace regulations and organized labor, especially the
- 34:48Speaker 1: federal minimum wage. He's now the Trump administration's acting labor Secretary.
- 34:52Speaker 1: In other words, Pisella now is supposed to protect workers' rights.
- 34:55Speaker 1: According to The New York Times, many in the White
- 34:56Speaker 1: House have been pushing hard to undermine the union's ability
- 35:00Speaker 1: to bark in collectively and raise dues and exert political power.
- 35:03Speaker 1: At the weekend box office was Universal's new movie Good Boys,
- 35:07Speaker 1: which has become the first original R rated comedy in
- 35:09Speaker 1: three years to top the box office charts. It's also
- 35:13Speaker 1: only the second original film of any kind to open
- 35:16Speaker 1: at number one this year. Good Boys, by the way,
- 35:18Speaker 1: brought in twenty one million dollars. Finally, with this past
- 35:21Speaker 1: weekend be the fiftieth anniversary of the famous Woodstock concert
- 35:24Speaker 1: and upstate New York, the Steve Harvey Morning Show remembers
- 35:27Speaker 1: that this is also the fiftieth anniversary of the Harlem
- 35:30Speaker 1: Cultural Festival where Sly and Family, Stone, Nina Simone, Stevie
- 35:34Speaker 1: Wonder among the stars who put on the show nicknamed Blackwoodstock.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Some others who performed that day in Harlem the late
- 35:39Speaker 1: Great Maheya Jackson, BB King, Gladys Knight and the Pips,
- 35:42Speaker 1: and the Fifth Dimension. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:48Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to the String Show, all right, Steve,
- 35:52Speaker 1: So you've been on vacation. I don't know how much
- 35:54Speaker 1: news you got a chance to watch, but this is
- 35:57Speaker 1: a story that's been trending on social media. As we
- 35:59Speaker 1: all know, jay Z and Rock Nation have teamed up
- 36:02Speaker 1: with the NFL for music, entertainment and social justice initiatives. However,
- 36:07Speaker 1: jay Z has received a lot of I mean a lot, Steve,
- 36:10Speaker 1: a lot of backlash for his partnership with the NFL.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It was also reported on Saturday that jay Z will
- 36:16Speaker 1: have a significant ownership interest in an NFL team, But
- 36:20Speaker 1: some are saying that jay Z turned his back on
- 36:22Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick. That's where this whole thing is about. Really.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Here's a sound bite of jay Z and Roger Goodell
- 36:28Speaker 1: talking about the deal. Take a listen. I think we
- 36:32Speaker 1: passed reeling. I think everyone knows what the issue is
- 36:36Speaker 1: and we're done with that. You know why we're knowing?
- 36:41Speaker 1: You know the issue? Yeah, you know the issue. Yes,
- 36:44Speaker 1: we all know the issue. Now what we're moving on next?
- 36:47Speaker 1: And I'm not again, so to be clear, I'm not
- 36:50Speaker 1: minimizing that part of it, because that has to happen.
- 36:52Speaker 1: That's a necessary part of the process. Everyone's saying, how
- 36:57Speaker 1: are you going forward? And Kat doesn't have a job.
- 36:59Speaker 1: This wasn't about him having a job. Point, we listened
- 37:04Speaker 1: to our place, we understood what our players we're saying,
- 37:07Speaker 1: and we created a platform in which to help drive
- 37:10Speaker 1: change in communities. Let me say this with no disrespect
- 37:14Speaker 1: intended to anybody's viewpoint, because in this world we live in,
- 37:21Speaker 1: irregardless as of how you feel about it, people are
- 37:24Speaker 1: going to express their viewpoints, whether they agree, disagree our
- 37:30Speaker 1: understanding of the situation or well versed on facts. We've
- 37:34Speaker 1: gotten into a point in our world where the only
- 37:37Speaker 1: thing that counts is eyeballs on your site, clicks, and
- 37:41Speaker 1: so people do anything to make that happen. Here's my
- 37:44Speaker 1: take on the jay Z situation. I think that people
- 37:48Speaker 1: have to look at this from a broader sense. Jay
- 37:51Speaker 1: Z has gotten himself to a level where he can
- 37:54Speaker 1: bring about change in ways that can aid in protest
- 38:00Speaker 1: because sometimes after the protest is over, which it is
- 38:03Speaker 1: over in the NFL, you have to now find an
- 38:07Speaker 1: alternative way, and sitting at the table is one way
- 38:11Speaker 1: to do it. And I think him taking this position
- 38:15Speaker 1: I think we all have to kind of look at it. Okay,
- 38:17Speaker 1: so now we got somebody who is of us sitting
- 38:21Speaker 1: at the table. I don't see it there's anything against
- 38:24Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick, because, first of all, let's look at all
- 38:27Speaker 1: of the NFL players, because we understand what it was about.
- 38:31Speaker 1: But the president and the system turned the narrative around
- 38:35Speaker 1: to make it against the flag and the military, when
- 38:38Speaker 1: that's not what the protest was about at all. Here's
- 38:41Speaker 1: what I'm saying. If jay Z comes out and he's
- 38:45Speaker 1: signing a deal to handle music, entertainment and social injustices, see,
- 38:50Speaker 1: there's ways to do it because entertainment bridges gaps. So
- 38:54Speaker 1: now you have a face that has always been for
- 38:57Speaker 1: us at the table to talk about the type of entertainment,
- 39:00Speaker 1: the type of music, and to always really really raise
- 39:04Speaker 1: the issues of social injustice. All right, Steve hold that thought.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I hate to interrupt you because this is good, but
- 39:10Speaker 1: we'll talk about this more at thirty four after I
- 39:13Speaker 1: will take a short break and be right back right
- 39:15Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. You were saying
- 39:21Speaker 1: about the jay Z NFL merger. What were you saying
- 39:24Speaker 1: about that? So so, but let me just say this
- 39:27Speaker 1: to everybody, especially for us. We are oftentimes very quick
- 39:37Speaker 1: to forget a person's track record. And you know what
- 39:42Speaker 1: I heard Bishop Jake say the other day on video
- 39:46Speaker 1: while I was on vacation. He was doing this conference
- 39:49Speaker 1: Z called intentionality. It was called intentionality. He said. People
- 39:56Speaker 1: judge you by your actions. God judges you by your intent.
- 40:04Speaker 1: And oftentimes we do things in a well meaning way,
- 40:09Speaker 1: but the way we did it, people take it and
- 40:12Speaker 1: it's open to subjective opinion and they ridicule the way
- 40:17Speaker 1: when the intent can be totally clean and pure. I
- 40:21Speaker 1: just want to run many times and so on behalf
- 40:28Speaker 1: of jay Z. I think of all the many things
- 40:31Speaker 1: he's done that's been so socially relevant, so important. How
- 40:35Speaker 1: he spoke off for so many inconcerated young men, how
- 40:39Speaker 1: he got fathers out on bail for Fathers Day. I
- 40:42Speaker 1: look at all of the whales and water he didn't
- 40:45Speaker 1: put over in Africa. I look at all of the
- 40:47Speaker 1: situation how he helped these young rappers out of attack
- 40:50Speaker 1: situations to get their money right and straighten their life out.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I look at all the philanthropic money that him and
- 40:57Speaker 1: his wife have poured into the black community. See all
- 41:00Speaker 1: of that right there, can't get swept under the rum.
- 41:03Speaker 1: And sometimes we oftentimes we forget a person's track racket
- 41:08Speaker 1: and we take what Bishop Jakes was talking about intentionality,
- 41:12Speaker 1: how man judges you by your actions, but God judges
- 41:16Speaker 1: you by your intent. And so as jay Z moves forward,
- 41:19Speaker 1: I think we have to be conscious that way because
- 41:22Speaker 1: his heart is good. Man. I've talked with this cat
- 41:24Speaker 1: many times. Just dude is solid. He's always been solid,
- 41:29Speaker 1: and so I think we have to understand and let
- 41:32Speaker 1: him get in and make some changes, you know, instead
- 41:35Speaker 1: of just we're so fast to just knock somebody down
- 41:40Speaker 1: when they try to do something. Man, First of all,
- 41:43Speaker 1: ain't no black person had no relationship with the NFA
- 41:49Speaker 1: that I recallpecially from the hip hop community. Are you
- 41:54Speaker 1: kidding me? From the hip hop community? Man, they ain't
- 41:58Speaker 1: let her r and be saying in that. Yeah, this
- 42:01Speaker 1: brother then wield his position and power with rock Nation
- 42:04Speaker 1: and signed enough stars where they now know he got weight.
- 42:08Speaker 1: So now he can get in there and he can
- 42:10Speaker 1: make a change. And I think that's what we had
- 42:11Speaker 1: to be aware of. That's just thinking about, yeah, moving forward.
- 42:17Speaker 1: What Colin Kaepernick did was good in that time, in
- 42:21Speaker 1: that time period. Now here's jay Z to move us
- 42:23Speaker 1: forward to move is gonna be a black NFL owners
- 42:29Speaker 1: Hope it sounds good. That'll be down by time. That's
- 42:35Speaker 1: what it sound like. Time Ya and y'all want to
- 42:38Speaker 1: know how strong of a circle that is. We had
- 42:40Speaker 1: a black president of the United States, where we had
- 42:41Speaker 1: a black football team owner. Yeah, you don't think that's
- 42:46Speaker 1: a tough circle to crack, folks, Please understand. Please understand.
- 42:52Speaker 1: They kept Rush Limbaugh from getting the team, and that
- 42:55Speaker 1: boy got all kinds of money. I can go down
- 42:59Speaker 1: the list. Yeah, it was a tough circle to get in, man,
- 43:03Speaker 1: But somebody got to have a machete in their hand, man.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And I'm glad jay Z got a machete in his
- 43:08Speaker 1: hand on this one because he can pave the way
- 43:11Speaker 1: for other owners, for other African American voices and people
- 43:15Speaker 1: of color Latino voices to get in there and speak up. Yeah,
- 43:19Speaker 1: that's a positive way to look at it. You're right,
- 43:22Speaker 1: Welcome back, Steve Harvey. Steve. I'm just trying to talk
- 43:27Speaker 1: about my all right, Steve, more stories from Steve. Steve
- 43:34Speaker 1: is back, ladies and gentlemen. He's taking us on a
- 43:37Speaker 1: journey of his vacation and his ball off vacation. We'll
- 43:40Speaker 1: have more when we come back right after this. You're
- 43:42Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming
- 43:46Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, right about four
- 43:48Speaker 1: minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today and Steve
- 43:51Speaker 1: is back. The subject is my husband's friend can't stay here.
- 43:55Speaker 1: But right now, nephew in the building with today's prank
- 43:58Speaker 1: phone call what you got for us? Truck try? What's
- 44:02Speaker 1: that to truck driver? Yes? Here it is truck driving
- 44:13Speaker 1: running can Man, they didn't blew out the whole electrical
- 44:18Speaker 1: system in the old Hello. Hello, I'm trying. I'm trying.
- 44:21Speaker 1: I'm trying to find Candy. Who is this? It's scanning man? Okay?
- 44:25Speaker 1: You you are you the guy with the told truck?
- 44:27Speaker 1: You're you're the told truck driver? And ask me trucking. Okay, Hey, man,
- 44:31Speaker 1: you just started my girl's car three days ago and
- 44:35Speaker 1: blew the old electrical system out. Man, I did hold on,
- 44:39Speaker 1: hold on, let me get back to my truck, you said,
- 44:41Speaker 1: I did what man? You do jump people's vehicles when
- 44:44Speaker 1: they when they got to stall vehicle, don't you that's
- 44:46Speaker 1: what I do. I jumped vehicles? Yes, okay, so you
- 44:50Speaker 1: actually did my girl's car about three days ago. Man,
- 44:54Speaker 1: you just started her car. But now when you you
- 44:56Speaker 1: over jumped it, it's what you did, okay. You didn't
- 44:59Speaker 1: blow out the the whole electrical system in the whole
- 45:01Speaker 1: car to dad board. Everything is just completely out. And

- 50:05Speaker 1: I do. Now. I ain't been there, you know, out
- 50:08Speaker 1: of gas guarding you. I've been gone for a while,
- 50:12Speaker 1: you know, tummy, even though I've been gone for a while. Yeah,
- 50:17Speaker 1: you know, oh oh they ain't. Stupidity, Yeah, stupidity is
- 50:26Speaker 1: always as shocking as it is. Thank you used to that,
- 50:34Speaker 1: you know, you know, like like I ain't got a
- 50:36Speaker 1: shot of stupidity in a long time. And I just
- 50:40Speaker 1: want you to know something, man, as a person that
- 50:43Speaker 1: provides it in large doses, it's still that shocking stupid
- 50:48Speaker 1: you really are. Maybe they don't have that. And month
- 50:51Speaker 1: month when you're winning the money, money, money, they ain't
- 50:55Speaker 1: got none of the heck, rul We ain't got that
- 50:56Speaker 1: there butte while you were gone, though, it was that
- 51:01Speaker 1: perhaps its highest level ever because he ain't had nobody
- 51:07Speaker 1: rain anyware between him Jay at all and Junior boy.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, did he clown? I talked? I talked,
- 51:17Speaker 1: Junior something, tell me if I'm telling the truth. Ain't
- 51:20Speaker 1: it the right way to do the wrong thing? Ain't
- 51:25Speaker 1: it up? What exact? Isn't it a right way to
- 51:30Speaker 1: do the wrong thing? You don't want to do the
- 51:34Speaker 1: wrong thing wrong, You want to do the wrong thing right. Wow. Ye,
- 51:39Speaker 1: you know this is gonna surprise y'all. See. But he's
- 51:43Speaker 1: absolutely right. I told y'all. I told y'allus, you know,
- 51:50Speaker 1: as a man, Yeah, just as a man. I must
- 51:56Speaker 1: admit I've had shuffle conversations with many people about the
- 52:01Speaker 1: right way to Yes. Yes, and I'm so ashamed. And
- 52:08Speaker 1: I asked my father God for forgiveness all the time
- 52:12Speaker 1: when I look back on my checkered pain, all the
- 52:17Speaker 1: things he's bought me. Well, yeah, come on, my soul
- 52:21Speaker 1: screams out, hallelujah. Yes, ain't God for saving me? Yeah? Amen?
- 52:28Speaker 1: But I thought I was was lost, but now I'm fine. Yes,
- 52:37Speaker 1: I was blind. But nah, see yes, sometimes being blind

- 53:23Speaker 1: buggle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 53:26Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry Letter subject my husband's
- 53:30Speaker 1: friend cannot stay here. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a
- 53:34Speaker 1: very happily married woman in my early fifties and I
- 53:37Speaker 1: have an issue with my husband's longtime friend and fraternity brother.
- 53:41Speaker 1: My husband's friend lives in another state for work, but
- 53:44Speaker 1: he loves to come visit all his buddies in the
- 53:46Speaker 1: city that my husband and I live in. When he
- 53:49Speaker 1: comes to town, he would take turns staying at different
- 53:52Speaker 1: friends houses. His first visit to our new home was
- 53:55Speaker 1: earlier this year, and he stayed the entire weekend, and
- 53:59Speaker 1: that was okay as a one time deal. Since then,
- 54:03Speaker 1: he started alerting my husband that he would be in
- 54:06Speaker 1: town and would need a place to crash. We're all
- 54:10Speaker 1: a tight knit group of friends, and I know he
- 54:12Speaker 1: wore out as welcome at another couple's home, so he
- 54:15Speaker 1: set his sights on our house. I told my husband
- 54:18Speaker 1: that I am totally against him thinking our home is
- 54:21Speaker 1: his week end getaway. This put me and my husband
- 54:24Speaker 1: at extreme odds, and my husband told me that he
- 54:26Speaker 1: feels like it's not his home because I make the rules.
- 54:30Speaker 1: My husband claims he's making up excuses whenever his friend
- 54:33Speaker 1: mentions he's coming to town. I think that my husband
- 54:36Speaker 1: is being absolutely ridiculous. We're adults in a nice new home,
- 54:41Speaker 1: not a frat house. His friend can easily afford a
- 54:44Speaker 1: hotel room every month, but he is too cheap to
- 54:47Speaker 1: pay for it. He'd rather stay with his fraternity brothers
- 54:50Speaker 1: than save his money. I don't mind if he comes
- 54:53Speaker 1: by the house to visit while he's in town, but
- 54:56Speaker 1: I do not want his company at my house every
- 54:58Speaker 1: other weekend. I love my husband and I don't want
- 55:02Speaker 1: to continue to fight over this, but I am very
- 55:05Speaker 1: firm on my beliefs. Am I being selfish? Please advise? No, no, no,
- 55:12Speaker 1: you're not being selfish, not at all. And that's coming
- 55:14Speaker 1: from a person who absolutely loves company. You guys know
- 55:18Speaker 1: how much I love company. But no, you're not being selfish.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Nothing you have said is wrong. No, your husband, your
- 55:25Speaker 1: house is not a weekend get away. And yes, your
- 55:27Speaker 1: husband is being ridiculous. Your nice new home is in
- 55:31Speaker 1: a frat house. That's crazy. I mean, what do your
- 55:36Speaker 1: husband and his frat brother not understand about this? I
- 55:39Speaker 1: don't get it. If frat can afford a hotel room,
- 55:42Speaker 1: then frat should get a hotel room. If he can't
- 55:44Speaker 1: afford that, then he needs to stay at home. He's
- 55:46Speaker 1: already worn out his welcome with another couple that's in
- 55:50Speaker 1: this tight knit group with you guys. As far as
- 55:52Speaker 1: you and your husband and all this fighting and everything,
- 55:55Speaker 1: your husband husband should be happy that you're being very
- 55:58Speaker 1: hospitable to his frat. You're welcoming him into your home.
- 56:03Speaker 1: You just don't want him to stay there and make
- 56:05Speaker 1: your home the weekend get away. I don't understand what
- 56:07Speaker 1: the problem is. Your husband needs to grow up. He
- 56:10Speaker 1: is now no longer in the fraternity. You guys are
- 56:12Speaker 1: in your early fifties. Come on, Steve, Lord, Lord, Lord,
- 56:18Speaker 1: welcome back. Ain't this one to come back? Yeah? Well
- 56:23Speaker 1: on behalf of Tommy and myself. We show hoping this
- 56:27Speaker 1: ain't a Q capital, but it damn shows sound like
- 56:30Speaker 1: somebody I know, Lord cheese, Father, God, Please don't let
- 56:40Speaker 1: this be a que I didn't say it on behalf
- 56:46Speaker 1: of Tommy. Lord, don't let it be a new leave,
- 56:50Speaker 1: but this show sound like one of them to me.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Let me dig into this letter. One of my friend
- 57:01Speaker 1: brothers is listening. Will tag your answers in. Oh, I'm
- 57:08Speaker 1: a happily married woman in my early fifties and I
- 57:12Speaker 1: got an issue with my husband's longtime friend and fraternity brothers.
- 57:17Speaker 1: See all of the fracts that end in side Cappa, Alpha,
- 57:23Speaker 1: Si and omega. Side fire that rhymes with si and
- 57:29Speaker 1: fi also rhymes with to the Day I Die, Ka,
- 57:34Speaker 1: side to the day I dow Mega, side fire to
- 57:37Speaker 1: the day I die. So now we fifty, we become
- 57:45Speaker 1: the town. Yes, he takes turns, staying at different friends houses.
- 57:51Speaker 1: First visit I knew home was earlier this year. He
- 57:54Speaker 1: stayed the entire weekend and that was okay, but it
- 57:57Speaker 1: was a one time deal. Well, since then, he started
- 58:00Speaker 1: telling his husband that he gonna be in town and
- 58:02Speaker 1: he needed a place to crash. Now, you say, we
- 58:06Speaker 1: all a tight nick group of friends, but he didn't
- 58:10Speaker 1: wore out his welcome out the other couple's house. See,
- 58:12Speaker 1: they're tired of his ass. Ye see, they're sick and
- 58:17Speaker 1: tired of his ass because it's different now. So now
- 58:22Speaker 1: he just said his house. I'm gonna get into why
- 58:24Speaker 1: it's different than a minute. I got some funny stuff
- 58:26Speaker 1: about this gill. But let me tell you. See, now
- 58:29Speaker 1: he'd have said his house on set his sights on
- 58:31Speaker 1: your house. The problem she having is she just said
- 58:36Speaker 1: our new home. They had just moved in and they've
- 58:40Speaker 1: been working, saving their money like good folks, got themselves
- 58:43Speaker 1: together and got themselfs a new house. That hit his ass.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Comes now he want to call him and he want
- 58:52Speaker 1: to stay over there, and he'd got ran out to
- 58:54Speaker 1: other people's house. Now, now I told my husband, I'm
- 58:57Speaker 1: totally gives him thinking our home is a weekend and
- 58:59Speaker 1: get away. Now you and your husband's at the odds.
- 59:02Speaker 1: And he told me that he feels like it's not
- 59:04Speaker 1: his home because I make the rules. What dog it ain't.
- 59:07Speaker 1: It's her house too, though, and if she make a
- 59:10Speaker 1: rule in the house, we can't break the rule. My
- 59:12Speaker 1: husband claims he's been making excuses whenever his friends mentioned
- 59:16Speaker 1: he's coming to town, as you should. I think my
- 59:20Speaker 1: husband being ridiculous. Damn it he is that here's apart.
- 59:25Speaker 1: We're adults in a nice new home. Correction, y'all ain't adults,
- 59:31Speaker 1: y'all fifty huh, that's different You adults When you thirty
- 59:37Speaker 1: hold on, Steve, hold on, and you fifty, you fifty,
- 59:40Speaker 1: stop saying you an adult holds. Damn you're dead. Well.
- 59:45Speaker 1: That party two coming up at twenty three after the hours.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Subjects of today's Strawberry Letter. My husband's friend can't stay here.

- 1:00:46Speaker 1: All right, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject My
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: husband's friend can't stay here. Here's this fifty year old
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: couple that bought theyself a nice new house. Then dude
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: got a frat brother that don't like spending his money,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: so he stayed and everybody's house, all the frat brothers
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: when he comes to town. Now there's one couple and
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: got sick of his ass and told him he ain't
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: coming over there no more. So now he just set
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: his sights on y'all house. Now, the problem is this
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: couple and just bought the house because it got a
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: new house. So now that she's just setting up her
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: now and now hear his ass car frat bro. But
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: this is different though. She says that the husband is
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: upset and said that he feels like it's not his
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: home because I make the rules. But dog, it is
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: her house. She get to make the rules, just like
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: you get to make some rules. But if y'all's rules conflict,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: the person to make the rule win. That's just how
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: I go. Man, Marjorie say, I can't eat in the bed.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Now it's my house. I make all the payments around him.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: But her rule is you can't eat in the bed.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: So guess what. I can't bring no food in there.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I bring it in there. If I want to whole
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: whole lot, won't be happy, don't bring it in there.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I bring it in there. If I won't do Yeah,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: that's what you tell us. Yeah yeah, yeah, Not only
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: will you not be eating in the bed, you're gonna
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: be doing damn thing else. Yeah. Okay, So my husband
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: claims he's been making up excuse when it friends mentioned
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: that he's coming. I think my husband is being ridiculous,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: and he yah, because we're adults in a nice new home,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: not a flat house. His friend can easily afford the
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: hotel room every moment, but he too cheap to pay
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: for it. He rather stayed his flat brothers and say
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: the money. Now. I don't mind if he comes to
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: the house to visit when he in town, but I
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: don't want to come to my house every other weekend.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: And you are absolutely correct, lady. I love my husband.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: I don't want to continue to fight over this, but
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I'm very firm on my beliefs Am I being selfish? No,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: you're not your husband is now. I'm in a frat
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: that we swear by or make us out fire to
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: the day out that. But you can't stay at my house.

- 1:10:12Speaker 1: you sweeten load. We gotta get out of here more
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: in your vacation when we come back right after this.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Steve. So let's get
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: back into this vacation. Now, this journey we're going on
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: your living your best life vacation. We've gone to Venice,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: down to Croatia, Montenegro. Yeah. I wasn't going to discuss
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: my vacation, but I decided, like I said at the
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: top of my vacation, that I wanted to share just
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: some things with people on my Instagram and Facebook and Twitter,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: just to expose people who want to see other parts
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: of the world. It's just people who aspired to travel
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: to some places outside of America sometimes just to see.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: And I decided not to let Hayda stop me because
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: they got the wrong viewpoint on it. I'm not showing off.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: It's just the life that God then gave me. But
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: it also is the life that God can provide for
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: anybody who has a difference. Have to go to Montenegro.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: You can go see Colorado Springs, you can go see
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: the Smoky Mountains. You can go see the Grand Canyon,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: you can go see Niagara Falls. You don't have to
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: come this far you to see how wonderful God is.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: God is everywhere. It's a beautiful place you haven't seen.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: So I'm just trying to expire and inspire people with
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: some of my posts. I mentioned God quite often in
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: a lot of my posts. Post yeah stop After Montenegro
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: was Greece. The beautiful thing about Greece. We were on
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: the western coast of Greece. He was a beautiful thing
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: about it. A friend of mine who is not famous,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: who you all don't know, was on a yacht with
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: his family and he was texting and he said, man,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: I know you said you were gonna be out here.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Where are you And at the time I was still
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: in Croatia. He told me where it was, and but
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: it was too far away, and I said, man, don't
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: look like we're gonna be able to see each other
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: because we're too far away. On water is not as
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: simple as driving, because you got to think of a
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: boat going fifteen to seventeen knots, which is a round
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: about the same in terms of miles per hour. Look
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: that up for me. So if you're you're on a
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: boat going fifteen knots, let's say the average speed is
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: fifteen knots on a big boat. You got you know,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: in terms of miles per hour, that's a little bit different.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: So we decided we were too far away, and then
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: he ran into some bad weather where he was excuse me, Steve,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: this is fifteen knatzas seventeen miles part. Yeah, yeah, that's it,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: that's what he said, exactly right, Okay, so fifth, so
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: we just looked it up. Fifteen knatzas about seventeen miles
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: per hour. So traveling on water is very slow compared
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: to land. You know, if you were driving a car
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: seventeen miles per hour, you would be sick. You'd never
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: get any faster. Yeah, yeah, in a boat. That is
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: between traveling on boat and on water. It's a straight line.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: You ain't got to go around no curves, and ain't
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: no lights, and there is no traffic jam, so it's
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: just a steady ride. So we couldn't see each other.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Then he ran up into some bad weather and a
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: captain took his family out of the weather and guided
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: him around it, and so we ended up meeting up
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: after I left Montenegro on the western coast of Africa,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: and a little to my surprise, we pull into port
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: at the exact same time. I'm thinking as him and
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: his family on board, we laughing, talking, waving at each other.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: They pull up, He's got a wonderful boat. We boath
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: sitting there realizing and up on deck, I realized it's
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: not his son, but it's my boy, Jerome Bettis, whoa
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Pittsburgh Stealers. He was a guest on this other guy's boat.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: And man, better say what's up? Man? Hell no? And
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: man it was crazy. So the wives got together. We
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: got together. Man, we had dinner on the boats and Greece.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: We had a wonderful time. Then we went together to Abate.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: They did some water sports and stuff. They did not me,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: they did, all right, I put my foot in on
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: the back of that. All right. Coming up, more stories
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: from Steve's incredible vacation trip and more of the Steve
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to show Well Junior a
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: little bit more on helmet gate, the Raiders wide receiver
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Antonio Brown helmet and gate gets weirder. What's happening? Yeah,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: you ain't heard about this? Oh man, Oh my god,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Antonio Brown, I can't keep talking about this. What helmet
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: do you want? Making twenty something million dollars year? What
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: mold do you want? Okay? So Antonio Brown seven for
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: the Oakland Raiders. He filed agreements to where his old
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: helmet that was denied by the NFL earlier last week.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Then Antonio found an updated version of the helmet, and
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: he thought he was good, but now he would not
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: be permitted to wear that helmet after it failed the
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: NFL's safety testing. So what damn helmet do you want?
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Pick one? They'll make it. Start going on, get anything,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: get something on your head, a tail, A can't go,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: get something and get your ass out here and catch
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: this ball. We're sick of time to talking about this
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: damn helmet. And don't even matter what hat you wear. Hey,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: I'm Steve. Got plenty of halts here. Let you go,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: but get your ass on. Defend. You make too much
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: money to be compared about the hat. What do you want?
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: You get your marching band hat? Put put that out there, Steve,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: don't let him get He goes about the second talking
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: about his hat. Juli twenty million. I don't give a
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: damn it. They give me a stock and cat. So wait,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Stevens back, everybody coming up right
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: after this. You're listening show, all right, Steve, first day
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: back fresh off vacation. Uh, you know you've told us
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: where you started. You started in Venice, then you went
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: on up to Croatia. Then you were telling us about Montenegro.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Now tell us about Montena. Venice and I went down
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: the coast of Croatia. Okay down next you look on
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: my Instagram. In Croatia, I stopped at a muscle farm
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: and an yster farm and muscle and orschards and washed
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: them myself and talk trash. So after that went to
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: the first time ever to this place called Montenegro, and um,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: you gotta be careful as a black person, cause you
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: know they're being at that black and you know you'll
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: be you're gonna be paying one a little tight. They'd
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: be saying that real fast, and you'd be walking in
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: its nego that go another Negro, another Negro, but then
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: then be saying welcome to Monte Nigo. And then you know,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: so you have to be careful. But anyway, Uh, Dubai
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: owns this port. It's two ports in Montenegro. It's where
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: the cruise ships dock. And then it's some more upscale
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: port on the other side of the bay. So you
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: go around the corner. It's more some great food over there.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Lots of shops, lots of souvenir shops. Uh they had,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: but they had a Louis vertime bags on potato chip racks.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Huh were they They had realiver time bags on potato
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: chip racks. You know how you clip potato chips on,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: you just scratch off. You can shop for a Louis
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: vertime bag like that, and it was seventy five percent
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: off what we didn't have seen Louis Vaton on sale. Dog, Dog,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: then wasn't real a case of them though, Dog, you
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: could have flipped them when you got back. Then they
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: had a ap watch, a Rolex and and a huge
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: blow in the window, all of them in the same box.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: But then they had a fake Gucci and New York
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Yankee had combined. I said, what, So we go around
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: the corner to this other port and Dubai owns it
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: and it is completely different. It's one of my favorite
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: places now. It was stunningly clean, very very nice to see.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: The views were exquisite, and the places was just real, real,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: real nice. And it's not even completely built up yet,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: but it's gonna be one of the hot spots. All right,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: coming up, our last break of the day, and then
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: get some closing remarks from Steve Harvey, back from vacation
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: live and living his best life, coming up at forty
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour, right after this. You're listening,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: all right, Steve. Here we are our last break of
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: the day, your first day back at work. How you
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: feel it's good to have you back? You sound good?
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: It's really really good to be back. You know. It
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: was amazing this vacation because for the first time in
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: my life, I've started a journal. Was started my journal
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: on the first day that I was out on my
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: vacation on the boat, because it's always been a spiritual
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: experience for me to take my yearly trip on the boat,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: because I worked so many hours a day and so
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: many different things that I do that when I'm out
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: on the boat, it's a spiritual thing for me. And
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the reason it's so spiritual is because I discovered something
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: I was sitting on back deck one day, and when
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: you look out on the ocean, there are long stretches
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: of time where you don't even see another boat or
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: and you see no one. So when you don't see
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: people and all you can see is water as far
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: as your eye can see, and sky and clouds and
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: sunlight or cloud cover or rain or rainbows, the only
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: thing out there is God, and so you become very
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: connected to God because the reason there's no devil out
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: there is because there's no people out there that the
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: devil can affect. So it's a very spiritual thing to
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: be out there, and that's why I take this vacation
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: every year. It's a cleansing time for me. It's a
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: replenishing time, it's a repairing time, it's a healing time.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: But this time was different from all the times. This
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: time I was changed and God changed me. And I'm
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: not afraid to say it. He changed me because he
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: changed my motivation for being successful. You know, there's a
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: scripture and I'm gonna try to remember it. I think
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: it's James four and three. I think it's James four
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: and three. And in this scripture it says something to
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: the effect and I hope I got it right. If not,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: don't hold it against me. But it says to the
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: fact you ask and you receive, not because you ask
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: a miss. And so of course I had to look
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: up the word or miss because I don't know what
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: it means. And what I found out it meant was
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: when you ask God for something and you keep not
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: receiving it, it's because you ask or miss means you
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: asking it with the wrong motivation. And so what it
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: calls me to do was, and I'm saying this to
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: everybody as a lesson, you might want to consider this.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: What it caused me to do is everything I was
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: asking God for I wanted to write down the reason
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: why I wanted to acquire it so bad. Now I
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: had some good reasons in there, you know, Like you know,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: I want to change some people's lives. I want to
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: send more kids' college. I want to you know, change
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: some boys lives. I want to expand my mirror and camp.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: I want to you know, be more philanthropic. I want
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: to change the way some people drink water they live
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: in Africa. I had a lot of that in there,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: but sprinkled in there being honest. I also had stuff
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: in there, like I want to prove them wrong. I
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: want to flex on it. I want to show them
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: what God and do. I want to prove all of
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: what they're saying about me to be wrong. I want
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: to shut the haters up. And when I was honest
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: and I wrote this down just being honest, this is
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: just me and God talking. Now. I didn't even know
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I was gonna share this with y'all, but I'm doing
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: it because I want you to understand the change that
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: I had. Because sometimes you ask and you receive, not
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: because you ask a miss. Sometimes your motivation for wanting
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: it is wrong. And I had to learn by reading
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: the scripture on the boat that what I was asking for,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: even though I had a lot of good stuff in there,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: if I was honest about it, some of the stuff
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: was wrong. And the reason he don't give it to
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: you is because of lustful things. And lust don't mean
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: just flesh. Sometimes lust is just things you want. You
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: want to flex on them. I want to prove and wrong.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: I want to shut them up. That ain't not That
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: should not be your motivation. See you think it's motivation,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: But you can't get a positive result with a negative
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: put so negatively, I want to shut people up or negative.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I want to prove them wrong or negative. I want
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: a flex on them, but I want a positive outcome.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: So I was delaying my blessings by doing that. Sometimes
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: as blessed as I am, I still was delaying some blessings.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: So I wrote a new list, and I took all
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: of the lustful, fleshly stuff out, like flexing, proven wrong,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: shut them haters up. I'll show them. Now you think
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: I ain't this, You ain't thinking that? Now what y'all think?
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I took all that out and it cleaned up my motivation,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: And now my motivation purely became. What I'm supposed to
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: do is enlighten, to share, to encourage, to motivate other people.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: The other stuff I shouldn't even that ain't even in
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: my mix. I don't I don't care. I don't care
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: what you say, what and how you feel and whether
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: you see if I was right or not. I changed
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: my motivation. When you change your motivation, it changes the results.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: God will open up the windows of heaven like they
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: saying part of blessing that you won't have room enough
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: to receive. And that's exactly what it started happening immediately
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: because God is right now. God. It don't take God
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: all day to bless you. When God waved, his finger
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: is waved, and ain't nothing nobody can do about it.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: And I just wanted to share that peace with you
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: in case you kind of been like me and that
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: might have been blocking some of your blessings. You feel me.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: That's my clothing remarks today, And I got plenty more
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: where that comfort. Man, it's on the floe. You better
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: get better, boy. Hey y'all have a great weekend for all.
