Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdict with Ted Cruz week in Review,
- 0:04Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you, and here are the major stories
- 0:06Speaker 1: that you may have missed that we talked about this week.
- 0:08Speaker 1: First up, new intel on the FBI and how involved
- 0:13Speaker 1: they actually were in creating the Russia hoax. We'll explain
- 0:17Speaker 1: that to you in just a moment. Also, in a
- 0:20Speaker 1: new bombshell report, Harvard University having direct ties to the
- 0:24Speaker 1: Chinese Communist Party and the money they're funneling in is
- 0:28Speaker 1: truly incredible. And finally, Democrats go on the record with
- 0:34Speaker 1: official votes becoming more anti Israel than we've ever seen before.
- 0:39Speaker 1: It's the weekend review and it starts right now. I
- 0:43Speaker 1: want to move to the other topic that we mentioned earlier,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and that deals with the FBI right now and new
- 0:49Speaker 1: intel that's coming out, and I got to say a
- 0:53Speaker 1: lot of people are going to be shocked by it.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm not surprised at all by this, and I want
- 0:58Speaker 1: to get your take on now what we're learning about
- 1:01Speaker 1: the FBI with the Russia Russia Russia hoax and the
- 1:04Speaker 1: controversial Trump Russia actions predicted with alarming accuracy by foreign actors.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I mean, you look at this coming out now, and
- 1:13Speaker 1: it's just a joke. How incredible this whole I call
- 1:17Speaker 1: it a play. It was a movie. It's a script,
- 1:19Speaker 1: and everybody was playing on the script that they knew
- 1:22Speaker 1: was a lie.
- 1:23Speaker 2: That's right. But I want to take a minute and
- 1:25Speaker 2: sort of pull the curtain back for our listeners. So
- 1:28Speaker 2: we do this podcast, and we do this podcast sometimes
- 1:31Speaker 2: late at night, so it is twelve to fifty five am.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So look, men is half asleep. To be honest, he's
- 1:37Speaker 2: been asleep for two hours and we woke him to
- 1:39Speaker 2: do this. So the headline of this story says that
- 1:44Speaker 2: it was predicted with alarming specificity. Yes, that's true, and
- 1:49Speaker 2: I want you all to know. We recorded this, and
- 1:52Speaker 2: this is one of the advantages doing a podcast. When
- 1:54Speaker 2: you record it and screw it up, you can just
- 1:55Speaker 2: stop and rewind and do it again. We recorded it
- 1:59Speaker 2: and twice Benjamin was unable to say the words specificity.
- 2:05Speaker 1: He tried a tough ones specific I can't say it now.
- 2:07Speaker 2: See, And I will confess I kept making it harder
- 2:12Speaker 2: because I kept saying fescipicity and.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I can say that word, no problem, right, that that
- 2:18Speaker 1: one's easy.
- 2:19Speaker 2: So finally, after after twice crashing and burning on saying specificity.
- 2:25Speaker 2: He just said with alarming accuracy. By the way, the
- 2:29Speaker 2: quote is not accuracy, it's specificity.
- 2:32Speaker 1: But but I didn't say quote unquote. See I covered
- 2:34Speaker 1: myself there.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You didn't say the word quote. But I just wanted
- 2:37Speaker 2: our listeners to know that that that, like the specificity.
- 2:41Speaker 1: With meal at one am, that is accurate.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Not one am. It's twelve fifty seven. You got three
- 2:48Speaker 2: minutes till one am. All right, So let's cover the
- 2:53Speaker 2: under But but this is the important stuff to understand. Look,
- 2:57Speaker 2: these these are real human beings. I'm in my DC apartment.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You're in a hotel room, I think, is that right now?
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'm I'm in a house in Pinehurst, North Carolina. So
- 3:07Speaker 1: that's where the World Championships is.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Look that that that's pretty fancy and sishi. And you've
- 3:13Speaker 2: got to be up at like six thirty is tea time?
- 3:15Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 3:16Speaker 1: It's it's a six eighteen or something absurd.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Six eighteen all right, Benjamin. While you're at tea time,
- 3:22Speaker 2: I will be fast asleep, I.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Believe you, and you'll be dreaming about the alarming specifificity
- 3:30Speaker 1: the word I can you still can't say it.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Come on specificity, Just say it once specificity.
- 3:36Speaker 1: There we go, there we go.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Look at that. By the way, you know what I
- 3:39Speaker 2: did Monday on the on the flight to DC.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Wait, say that again?
- 3:43Speaker 2: Do you know what I did Monday on the flight
- 3:45Speaker 2: to DC?
- 3:46Speaker 1: What did you do?
- 3:47Speaker 2: I watched Happy Gilmore two. Have you seen that?
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's so good? It is so good. I love when
- 3:53Speaker 1: they don't screw when they don't screw up a sequel
- 3:56Speaker 1: like Top Gun Maverick. They killed it right, Happy gil More.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's been happy to.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Maybe better than Happy Gilmore, like really good.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And and by the way, did you see it coming?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Because I did not when hold on spoiler word if
- 4:11Speaker 1: you haven't been watched it yet, turned down for five seconds?
- 4:14Speaker 1: When that when he killed his wife with the golf ball?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Did I did not see that coming? Did you?
- 4:18Speaker 2: I did not see that coming either. I I will say,
- 4:21Speaker 2: by the way, as a complete aside, I've gotten to
- 4:24Speaker 2: know Adam Sandler's producer. You know, he's a big hoops player.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I gotta tell you. I'm told that Sandler. I've invited
- 4:31Speaker 2: him come play hoops with with me and he said yes,
- 4:34Speaker 2: So hadn't happened yet, But I'm actually really psyched because
- 4:38Speaker 2: Sandler and I are almost exactly the same age, and
- 4:40Speaker 2: he's a serious ballplayer. And as you know, I play
- 4:43Speaker 2: hoops twice a week.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I do. I say, count me in for that game.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'd like to be there for that game.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Okay, don't injure Adam Sandler, Like he is a national
- 4:53Speaker 2: comedic treasure. And I will say, I've played hoops with you.
- 4:57Speaker 2: The last time I played hoops with you broke your finger.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You're a large I'm not worried about him. I'm worried
- 5:02Speaker 1: about me.
- 5:03Speaker 2: And you throw your body around pretty physically, which I admire.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Like I'm like, screw it. If you can't take the heat,
- 5:09Speaker 2: get out of the kitchen. But I'm just saying, don't
- 5:11Speaker 2: injure Adam Sandler.
- 5:12Speaker 1: There you go. That'd be one heck of a headline, right.
- 5:16Speaker 2: All right, let's get back. We actually had a story
- 5:18Speaker 2: to do, but I just had to I had to
- 5:20Speaker 2: call you out because you like magically edited out. You're
- 5:23Speaker 2: screwing up the word and yeah, so I just had
- 5:26Speaker 2: to like bring our listeners in and say, you know,
- 5:29Speaker 2: sometimes the magic of podcast is not exactly what you think.
- 5:33Speaker 1: All right, Yeah, you know, I'm ready go for it.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I'm ready good, go ahead, say what you're gonna say.
- 5:37Speaker 1: No, no, I was gonna say. So this is the
- 5:39Speaker 1: part that laugh when you when you do radio like
- 5:41Speaker 1: I did three three hours a day my producer Diaz,
- 5:44Speaker 1: who does this show as well, when that would happen.
- 5:47Speaker 1: The worst part is he's just laughing at me through
- 5:50Speaker 1: the glass on the other side of the wall because
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's live and there's nothing you can do to fix it,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and so he just laughs in my face. So now
- 5:57Speaker 1: this is like my weird revenge because for how many
- 6:00Speaker 1: years have we worked here Diez twelve, thirteen, fourteen, I
- 6:03Speaker 1: don't even know how many it is. He just used
- 6:05Speaker 1: to just laugh at me, and now he actually has
- 6:07Speaker 1: to go back and fix it. So I'm like, the
- 6:09Speaker 1: jokes on you, buddy, the jokes on you. So yeah,
- 6:11Speaker 1: when it's live, there's nothing you can do about it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: So with all that specificity, the word I can't say
- 6:16Speaker 1: is still denying. For some reason, let's get back to
- 6:19Speaker 1: the event.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I still have reported on this story with alarming fesipicity,
- 6:25Speaker 2: And let me read from the Fox News story quote,
- 6:28Speaker 2: US intelligence has credible foreign sources indicating that the FBI
- 6:31Speaker 2: would play a role in spreading the salacious Trump Russia
- 6:35Speaker 2: collusion narrative before the bureau ever launched its controversial Crossfire
- 6:41Speaker 2: Hurricane probe, sources familiar with the intel told Fox News
- 6:44Speaker 2: Digital see I director John Ratcliffe is expected to declassify
- 6:50Speaker 2: the underlying intelligence, including a classified annex related to former
- 6:55Speaker 2: Special Counsel John Durham's investigation into the origins of the
- 6:59Speaker 2: Trump Russia probe. A source familiar with the contents of
- 7:03Speaker 2: the class Fight annex told Fox News Digital that while
- 7:06Speaker 2: it may not have been exactly clear in the moment
- 7:09Speaker 2: what the intelligent collection meant, with the benefit of hindsight,
- 7:13Speaker 2: it predicted the FBI's move with alarming specificity, and it
- 7:19Speaker 2: goes on to.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Say, there's your quote.
- 7:22Speaker 2: There you go quote. Ultimately, the release of the classifight
- 7:26Speaker 2: annex will lend more credibility to the assertion that there
- 7:29Speaker 2: was a coordinated plan inside the US government to help
- 7:33Speaker 2: the Clinton campaign stir up controversy connecting Trump to Russia.
- 7:38Speaker 2: The source who was granted anonymity to discussed the sense
- 7:40Speaker 2: of intelligence matters that have not yet been made public,
- 7:43Speaker 2: told Fox News Digital Quote mere days after this intelligence
- 7:48Speaker 2: was collected the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane. The source said, quote,
- 7:56Speaker 2: it is really hard to see how Brennan, Clapper and
- 8:00Speaker 2: Comy are going to be able to explain this away.
- 8:04Speaker 1: You put that in perspective, and I think it's fair
- 8:06Speaker 1: to say at this point, everything we were hearing during
- 8:09Speaker 1: the back of the day on this it was all
- 8:12Speaker 1: just straight up government propaganda and the media was one
- 8:15Speaker 1: hundred percent in on it.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Well, it was not just government propaganda. It was driven
- 8:22Speaker 2: by the Hillary Clinton campaign. It was opposition research that
- 8:25Speaker 2: they paid for and then they gave to the Obama
- 8:28Speaker 2: administration to launder it. They laundered it through the FBI,
- 8:31Speaker 2: They laundered it through the Department of Justice, and in
- 8:34Speaker 2: it was the federal government attacking Donald Trump because they
- 8:38Speaker 2: did not want Donald Donald Trump to be president. And
- 8:42Speaker 2: the degree to which the government was complicit in partisan politics,
- 8:48Speaker 2: but not just partisan politics, partisan politics. That was false.
- 8:52Speaker 2: That was a lie. This was made up. The Russia
- 8:56Speaker 2: hoax was a hoax. It was concocted through the Hillary
- 9:00Speaker 2: Clinton campaign. It was laundered through the FBI and the
- 9:04Speaker 2: Department of Justice, and it was a lie. That was
- 9:08Speaker 2: a political attack job. And I want to commend John Ratcliffe,
- 9:11Speaker 2: the head of CIA, a good friend of mine, for
- 9:15Speaker 2: making this public, for drawing accountability and truth to what occurred.
- 9:23Speaker 1: What do you think is going to come from this?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Because there's so many I think just gruntled and frustrated
- 9:28Speaker 1: Americans that hear those things and like, all right, we're
- 9:30Speaker 1: now getting more and more confirmation this happened. Will there
- 9:33Speaker 1: be any real accountability? And does this move us closer
- 9:36Speaker 1: to that? So?
- 9:38Speaker 2: I hope so that there needs to be accountability. And
- 9:41Speaker 2: I will say, you have Tulca Gabbard who released her
- 9:45Speaker 2: bombshell information about the degree of the complicity of the administration,
- 9:52Speaker 2: And if you didn't hear our podcast last week on this,
- 9:56Speaker 2: you should listen to the podcast on Tulsi Gabbert's bombshell information.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I hope there is accountability. I call on on the
- 10:03Speaker 2: Department of Justice. I also had when I was having
- 10:06Speaker 2: drinks with the Army Secretary, I also had drinks with
- 10:08Speaker 2: the Deputy Attorney General of the United States, and so
- 10:11Speaker 2: I was urging DOJ follow the facts and prosecute anyone
- 10:15Speaker 2: who is complicit. There are challenges because some of the
- 10:19Speaker 2: people who were involved in this, their criminal conduct was
- 10:23Speaker 2: before the statute of limitations expired, and so it is
- 10:26Speaker 2: harder to prosecute someone who committed criminal conduct after the
- 10:30Speaker 2: statute limitations has expired. Andrew McCabe, who was the Deputy
- 10:34Speaker 2: Director of the FBI, he testified before Congress. He testified falsely,
- 10:38Speaker 2: and the statute of limitations has not yet expired on
- 10:41Speaker 2: his testimony. So if I were to predict the single
- 10:44Speaker 2: most likely person in the Obama administration of face prosecution,
- 10:49Speaker 2: it would be Andrew McCabe, because there's still a window
- 10:52Speaker 2: where he lied to Congress and it's within the statute limitations.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Really incredible. We're going to keep you update on all this.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Don't forget to hit that subscribe or auto day. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: will button share this podcast and please run us a
- 11:02Speaker 1: five star review. It helps us reach more people out
- 11:04Speaker 1: there on the charts and the center, and I will
- 11:06Speaker 1: see you back here in a couple of days. Now,
- 11:08Speaker 1: if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 11:11Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 11:13Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two, Senator,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I want to move to this new report that's come out,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and it is something that we have been really like
- 11:25Speaker 1: raising the flag on saying pay attention to this, be
- 11:29Speaker 1: careful where you send your kids to college, Be careful
- 11:32Speaker 1: that they're going to be indoctrinated to hate America, and
- 11:35Speaker 1: be careful where you send your kids because there's a
- 11:38Speaker 1: lot of money that's coming in from countries that are
- 11:41Speaker 1: trying to undermine America and hate America. We're now seeing
- 11:45Speaker 1: more of this at Harvard, with Harvard's ties now directly
- 11:51Speaker 1: to the Chinese Communist Party elites. That has been revealed
- 11:55Speaker 1: on a level we haven't seen before, and it's even
- 11:58Speaker 1: more shocking of where Harvard's getting their cash. And look,
- 12:02Speaker 1: China is not doing this because they like Harvard. They're
- 12:05Speaker 1: clearly doing it for.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Influence, unquestionably, and you know, some have criticized the Trump
- 12:11Speaker 2: administration going after Harvard University. Harvard is the most influential
- 12:16Speaker 2: university on the face of the planet, and it also
- 12:21Speaker 2: many universities in America have been in bed with the
- 12:24Speaker 2: Chinese Communist Party. The Chinese government spends millions of dollars
- 12:29Speaker 2: trying to get influence and trying to brainwash our students,
- 12:33Speaker 2: trying to control our universities, and far too many universities
- 12:36Speaker 2: have been really eager to participate in that, and Harvard
- 12:39Speaker 2: has been right at the front of the list. Well
- 12:41Speaker 2: this week that the House of Representatives has an investigation
- 12:44Speaker 2: and they sent a letter to the President of Harvard.
- 12:46Speaker 2: This is a letter from John Mullinar, who is the
- 12:48Speaker 2: chairman of the Select Committee on the CCP in the House.
- 12:52Speaker 2: It's from Tim Wahlberg, who's the chairman of the House
- 12:54Speaker 2: Committee on Education and Workforce. And it's from Elie Steffonic,
- 12:57Speaker 2: who's the chairwoman of House Republican Leadership. And here's what
- 13:01Speaker 2: the letter says. It's addressed to the President of Harvard University,
- 13:04Speaker 2: Alan Garber, and it says, Dear President Garber, the Select
- 13:08Speaker 2: Committee on the Chinese Communist Party and the Committee on
- 13:10Speaker 2: Education and Workforce have identified new evidence related to Harvard
- 13:13Speaker 2: University's connections to the Chinese Communist Party and request additional information.
- 13:19Speaker 2: During our investigation, multiple whistleblowers told us that Harvard has
- 13:23Speaker 2: maintained close formal relationships directly with Chinese Communist Party entities. Specifically,
- 13:31Speaker 2: whistleblower information revealed ties between Harvard and the Central Organization
- 13:36Speaker 2: Department of the Central Committee of the CCP, as well
- 13:40Speaker 2: as certain Chinese government entities. The CCP Organization Department is
- 13:44Speaker 2: one of the most powerful bodies within the Communist Party.
- 13:47Speaker 2: It is responsible for the regimated, regimented training program centered
- 13:52Speaker 2: on Shijingping thought provided to the party elites, and controls
- 13:57Speaker 2: the placement of CCP members in keilh leadership positions. The
- 14:01Speaker 2: whistleblowers also revealed that Harvard cultivates ties with elite CCP members.
- 14:07Speaker 2: For example, whistleblowers reveal that the Harvard Kennedy School hosts
- 14:11Speaker 2: a formal partnership with the Chinese Executive Leadership Academy Poodong,
- 14:17Speaker 2: which is controlled by the CCP Organization Department. Under that partnership,
- 14:22Speaker 2: the rising CCP elite, who are being prepared for senior
- 14:25Speaker 2: Communist Party leadership positions, participate in training at Harvard in
- 14:31Speaker 2: the United States. Additional publicly available information indicates that some
- 14:36Speaker 2: of these relationships have been in place for at least
- 14:39Speaker 2: a decade. In twenty sixteen, a high ranking member of
- 14:42Speaker 2: the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences stated that Chinese Quote
- 14:46Speaker 2: Party and government cadres participate in education and training run
- 14:52Speaker 2: by the CCP Organization Department. The Chinese government sends some
- 14:56Speaker 2: cadres ABA abroad to the John F. Kennedy School of
- 14:59Speaker 2: Governm at Harvard University. This is shocking and it certainly
- 15:06Speaker 2: appears from this investigation. And they request all documents related
- 15:10Speaker 2: to any engagement between Harvard and the CCP and the
- 15:13Speaker 2: government of China, and a list of all money that
- 15:16Speaker 2: has come from China and the Chinese government. And my
- 15:20Speaker 2: prediction is Harvard is going to fight tooth and nail
- 15:22Speaker 2: not to turn this over because they don't want people
- 15:24Speaker 2: to know just how eager they have been to be
- 15:29Speaker 2: in bed with the communists running the Chinese government.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Can we also just be very queer, like China doesn't
- 15:36Speaker 1: do this because they like higher education or they're just
- 15:38Speaker 1: trying to get let's say they're students in That would
- 15:41Speaker 1: be like the most g rated version of the story
- 15:44Speaker 1: that you could tell. They're doing this to buy genuine
- 15:47Speaker 1: influence at the highest levels in academia and America. And
- 15:51Speaker 1: also this could have major consequences for the US when
- 15:55Speaker 1: it comes to national security or spies and countless other
- 16:00Speaker 1: infiltration activities that they're part of all the time.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Look, that's exactly right. You look at Harvard trains many
- 16:08Speaker 2: of our nation's elite. For example, I just typed in
- 16:11Speaker 2: a a quick list on on on Ai how many
- 16:15Speaker 2: senators went to Harvard, and Ai promptly gave me an answer.
- 16:19Speaker 2: There are currently twelve Senators who are Harvard alumni. And
- 16:22Speaker 2: I will admit sadly that it came back and says
- 16:25Speaker 2: the list includes individuals like Ted Cruz, Tim Kane, Jack Reed,
- 16:28Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer, and Mitt Romney. So so I'm a little
- 16:31Speaker 2: embarrassed to be the first name on that list. Uh.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But that is part of the reason that that that
- 16:37Speaker 2: that Harvard puts that that Harvard, that China puts that
- 16:41Speaker 2: money into Harvard, into Columbia, into elite universities across this country,
- 16:46Speaker 2: is they want to train America's leaders. They want to
- 16:49Speaker 2: train members of Congress, they want to train members of
- 16:51Speaker 2: the executive branch, they want to train federal judges. They
- 16:53Speaker 2: want to train the foreign pologies apparatus uh and and
- 16:57Speaker 2: and they are trying to train them uh and and
- 16:59Speaker 2: they're trying into propaganda as they use this for brainwashing,
- 17:02Speaker 2: they use this for espionage. And and far too many
- 17:07Speaker 2: of our universities have been so eager to take the
- 17:09Speaker 2: money that that that they have welcomed Chinese communists with
- 17:13Speaker 2: open arms.
- 17:15Speaker 1: When you look at where they are right now and
- 17:18Speaker 1: you look at Harvard. Is this just about the money,
- 17:21Speaker 1: do you think? Or is this also about the fact
- 17:23Speaker 1: that Harvard has no problem agreeing on a lot of
- 17:27Speaker 1: issues with China.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Well, it's both and and listen, the Harvard faculty is
- 17:31Speaker 2: is hard left. One one point I've said many times
- 17:34Speaker 2: is that when I was a student at Harvard Law School,
- 17:37Speaker 2: there were more professors who were Communists than there were
- 17:42Speaker 2: who were Republicans. And that's not hyperbole. That there were
- 17:45Speaker 2: at least a dozen professors who openly said they were Marxists,
- 17:49Speaker 2: that they were followers of the teachers teachings of Karl
- 17:51Speaker 2: Marx and and followers of you know, Karl Marx is
- 17:55Speaker 2: the father of communism. That when I was a student,
- 17:57Speaker 2: there there was only one professor who owned openly identified
- 18:01Speaker 2: as Republican. That was Charles Freed. And by the way,
- 18:04Speaker 2: Charles Freed, the loan Republican on the faculty voted for
- 18:08Speaker 2: Barack Obama, so so their loan Republican voted for Obama
- 18:11Speaker 2: as well. That that was the range of thought thirty
- 18:14Speaker 2: years ago, and it is much much worse now, as
- 18:19Speaker 2: you know, my most recent book is entitled Unwoke, How
- 18:22Speaker 2: to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America, And the opening chapter
- 18:26Speaker 2: talks about cultural Marxism, how it it grew at Harvard University,
- 18:32Speaker 2: it spread to universities throughout this country. It spread to
- 18:34Speaker 2: K through twelve, education, to journalism, to big business, to
- 18:38Speaker 2: big tech, to entertainment. Uh and and and sadly, you know,
- 18:41Speaker 2: I called the universities the Wuhan lab of the Woke
- 18:46Speaker 2: virus because they're where it was created, They're where it mutated,
- 18:50Speaker 2: and they're where it spread. And and and Harvard was
- 18:53Speaker 2: it was ground zero uh for that spread.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Final question on this, will Congress be able to really
- 19:00Speaker 1: anything on this issue to stop this type of money
- 19:04Speaker 1: coming into these universities? Look?
- 19:07Speaker 2: I hope.
- 19:07Speaker 1: So.
- 19:07Speaker 2: One of the very first pieces of legislation that I
- 19:09Speaker 2: passed thirteen years ago was legislation that banned Defense Department
- 19:15Speaker 2: money from going to universities that have Confucius institutes. Confucius
- 19:19Speaker 2: institutes were paid for by the Chinese Communist government. They
- 19:23Speaker 2: were at universities all over the country. I got that through,
- 19:26Speaker 2: I got that passed and signed into law. I actually
- 19:28Speaker 2: got bipartisan support for it. And as a result, dozens
- 19:32Speaker 2: of Confucius institutes shut down all over the country. So
- 19:35Speaker 2: we can make a real impact. I've got more legislation
- 19:39Speaker 2: to require transparency of foreign money going to universities. We
- 19:43Speaker 2: ought to know about it. And look, the Trump administration
- 19:47Speaker 2: is trying hard to expose this and to stop it,
- 19:50Speaker 2: and I salute the President for doing that.
- 19:52Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 19:54Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 19:57Speaker 1: dow the podcasts from earlier this week to here the
- 20:00Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 20:04Speaker 1: story number three of the week you may have missed.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I want to get to this other big issue, and
- 20:08Speaker 1: that is Democrats are not just abandoning Israel. They are
- 20:13Speaker 1: straight up anti Israel, and they're showing it now as
- 20:17Speaker 1: they're voting. A record number of Senate Democrats are going
- 20:20Speaker 1: to block weapons sales to Israel. They're doing it numbers
- 20:25Speaker 1: we've never seen before. And this on top of the
- 20:28Speaker 1: fact that The New York Times has had to basically
- 20:32Speaker 1: correct the claim about a viral photo of a starving
- 20:36Speaker 1: Gaza boy they blamed on Israel and actually wasn't true
- 20:39Speaker 1: at all, and they didn't correct it like in the paper.
- 20:43Speaker 1: They did it on X on their PR account that
- 20:46Speaker 1: no one follows this is now how bad it's gotten
- 20:50Speaker 1: not only in the media but also in DC.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Well, you know, when I arrived in the Senate thirteen
- 20:54Speaker 2: years ago, there was meaningful bipartisan support for Israel. It
- 20:58Speaker 2: was one of the issues that you see Republicans and
- 21:01Speaker 2: Democrats come together. Twenty thirteen, when I got here was
- 21:06Speaker 2: the beginning of the second term of Barack Obama, and
- 21:08Speaker 2: Barack Obama began to turn the Democrat Party against Israel.
- 21:13Speaker 2: That turn accelerated dramatically during the Biden administration, and Joe
- 21:17Speaker 2: Biden ended up being the most anti Israel president and
- 21:21Speaker 2: the most anti Israel administration we've ever seen. Joe Biden,
- 21:24Speaker 2: in the midst of a war that Israel was in,
- 21:28Speaker 2: cut off weapons, froze weapons to Israel, and did so
- 21:31Speaker 2: specifically to prevent Israel from killing terrorists Hamas, terrorists who
- 21:35Speaker 2: had attacked Israel viciously in one of the most horrific
- 21:39Speaker 2: terrorist attack in world history October seventh, where Hamas murdered
- 21:44Speaker 2: over twelve hundred civilians, targeted civilians, directly, raped and murdered women,
- 21:50Speaker 2: and little girls, and the Democrats, looking at the aftermath
- 21:54Speaker 2: of this, more and more of them decided they stand
- 21:58Speaker 2: with Hamas, and sadly, there is a real and growing
- 22:02Speaker 2: pro Hamas contingent of the Democrat Party today. This week
- 22:08Speaker 2: Bernie Sanders brought a resolution trying to block weapons sales
- 22:11Speaker 2: to Israel. Now, Bernie Sanders has been rabidly anti Israel
- 22:15Speaker 2: for a long time. Most left wing socialists and Marxist are,
- 22:20Speaker 2: but Bernie Sanders resolutions trying to cut off Israel usually failed,
- 22:23Speaker 2: and usually failed with a big, big vote. Well, this
- 22:26Speaker 2: week the Senate rejected it again, and we rejected it
- 22:29Speaker 2: by a vote of seventy to twenty seven. But there
- 22:32Speaker 2: were twenty seven votes in favor of Bernie Sanders's resolution.
- 22:37Speaker 2: There are only forty seven Democrats in the Senate. That
- 22:40Speaker 2: means more than half of the Senate Democrats voted to
- 22:45Speaker 2: cut off funding for Israel. That is a dramatic shift.
- 22:47Speaker 2: And by the way, if you compare it to in April,
- 22:51Speaker 2: we had a similar vote and only fifteen Democrats voted
- 22:55Speaker 2: for it. In November of twenty twenty four, eighteen Democrats
- 22:58Speaker 2: voted for it, So moving up to twenty seven is
- 23:02Speaker 2: a major shift, and and and it is a disturbing
- 23:06Speaker 2: pattern where when faced with a choice, do we support
- 23:11Speaker 2: Hamas or do we support Israel, more and more Democrats
- 23:15Speaker 2: they're afraid of the AOC's, they're afraid of the Ilhan Omars,
- 23:19Speaker 2: they're afraid of the Rashida Talib's in the House, the
- 23:22Speaker 2: the pro Hamas squad, and they're also afraid of the
- 23:26Speaker 2: radical protesters on college campuses. Understand, those protesters are funded
- 23:30Speaker 2: by George Soros. They're funded by the same people who
- 23:32Speaker 2: fund the Democrat Party. And more and more elected Democrats
- 23:36Speaker 2: have decided that that that they will not anger the
- 23:40Speaker 2: pro Hamas radicals and and and so I've got to
- 23:42Speaker 2: say it is sad to see. Uh, but let me
- 23:46Speaker 2: ask you a question.
- 23:47Speaker 1: By the way you mentioned yeah, well, and let me
- 23:50Speaker 1: ask you this. So, look, we know that there's more
- 23:53Speaker 1: people on the House side, so you'll get some you know,
- 23:56Speaker 1: fringe groups in the House side on the Democratic Party. Uh,
- 23:59Speaker 1: even like more hardcore conservacy in the past with conservative caucuses,
- 24:04Speaker 1: you can see numbers move there. The Senate's kind of
- 24:08Speaker 1: been like the place of elder statesmen, and like there's
- 24:12Speaker 1: certain issues that you kind of just see that like, hey,
- 24:15Speaker 1: we're going to be the adults in the room. I
- 24:18Speaker 1: think that's the scariest part of these votes I'm witnessing
- 24:21Speaker 1: now is this has moved from the House and the
- 24:25Speaker 1: radicals there that you kind of expected through that the
- 24:27Speaker 1: AOC and her group, right, you expect it. But now
- 24:31Speaker 1: it's moved into the Senate Chamber. And that is really
- 24:35Speaker 1: I think telling about the anti semitism of the Democratic Party.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Am I wrong?
- 24:39Speaker 2: More than half of the Senate Democrats voted to cut
- 24:43Speaker 2: off military funding for Israel. That's a milestone that's never
- 24:47Speaker 2: happened before. And by the way, it happened at the
- 24:49Speaker 2: exact same time that we saw three governments worldwide, governments
- 24:54Speaker 2: of US allies but that are led by leftists, the
- 24:57Speaker 2: government of the United Kingdom, the Government France, and the
- 25:00Speaker 2: government of Canada all came out in favor of recognizing
- 25:05Speaker 2: an independent Palestinian state. And I want you to think
- 25:07Speaker 2: about the message that the UK and France and Canada
- 25:11Speaker 2: are saying. They're saying to Hamas, your terrorism worked. They're
- 25:14Speaker 2: saying to Hamas, We're glad you murdered twelve hundred innocent civilians.
- 25:18Speaker 2: We're glad you raped women and little girls. By the way,
- 25:21Speaker 2: they're also saying to Hamas, we're glad you continue to
- 25:24Speaker 2: keep hostages to this day. You do not release the hostages.
- 25:28Speaker 2: They're saying to Hamas, we're glad you're responsible for starving
- 25:32Speaker 2: Palestinians and Gaza. Understand that the human suffering in Gaza
- 25:37Speaker 2: is the direct result of Hamas. Hamas could end this
- 25:39Speaker 2: right now. And Donald Trump, by contrast, put out a
- 25:42Speaker 2: tweet this week and he said Hamas could end the
- 25:45Speaker 2: suffering right now by stopping fighting and releasing the hostages.
- 25:49Speaker 2: They don't want to, and in fact, Hamas is actively negotiating,
- 25:54Speaker 2: you know what, they're negotiating for cut off food aid
- 25:58Speaker 2: for Palestinians in Gaza. We Hamas want to control all
- 26:02Speaker 2: the food because it's one of the ways we keep
- 26:06Speaker 2: in power is by starving anyone who opposes us. That
- 26:11Speaker 2: is who the United Kingdom and France and the Canadian
- 26:14Speaker 2: government is supporting. And that is also sadly who now
- 26:18Speaker 2: a majority of Senate Democrats are supporting.
- 26:21Speaker 1: You also look at the media, and there's a second
- 26:23Speaker 1: part of this conversation. The New York Times has had
- 26:27Speaker 1: to roll back acclaim they put it out there of
- 26:30Speaker 1: a viral photo of a starving Gaza boy. It was propaganda.
- 26:36Speaker 1: It was clearly propaganda from the terrorists and those that
- 26:41Speaker 1: want you to somehow believe that Israel's starving kids. It
- 26:45Speaker 1: did not happen that way at all. The New York
- 26:48Speaker 1: Times was forced to correct it, and I think they
- 26:52Speaker 1: did it in such a just a disgusting way because
- 26:56Speaker 1: they issued their statement sharing how they quote originally didn't
- 26:59Speaker 1: include dude, this boy's pre existing health condition, But they
- 27:04Speaker 1: didn't really do it in the newspaper like on the
- 27:06Speaker 1: front page, where the same way they did the picture.
- 27:08Speaker 1: The damage has already been done. They corrected the story
- 27:11Speaker 1: by going to the New York Times p R Twitter,
- 27:16Speaker 1: not even the New York Times Twitter account, the New
- 27:18Speaker 1: York Times pr account that virtually no one's gonna see.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, look, this was not a picture that that they
- 27:26Speaker 2: just had as a kind of side note in a
- 27:28Speaker 2: small story. This is a picture the New York Times
- 27:32Speaker 2: put on the front page. It occupies more than half
- 27:36Speaker 2: of the front page, above the fold. It is a
- 27:38Speaker 2: massive picture, and it's a horrible picture. It's a picture
- 27:41Speaker 2: of a little boy. He appears to be starving his
- 27:44Speaker 2: spine is sticking out. I mean, it's a very disturbing.
- 27:47Speaker 2: It's an eighteen month old child, which which they they
- 27:52Speaker 2: said he was starving, He faced life threatening malnutrition, and
- 27:56Speaker 2: they blamed that on Israel and they used it to
- 27:59Speaker 2: put USh Hamas's propaganda. After they did that, the New
- 28:05Speaker 2: York Times was forced to issue a correction. And they
- 28:07Speaker 2: did the correction, as you noted on Twitter, where no
- 28:09Speaker 2: one would see it. And their correction says that what
- 28:14Speaker 2: they didn't tell people. Here's what their statement was. Quote.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Children in Gaza are malnourished and starving, as New York
- 28:18Speaker 2: reporters and others have documented. We recently ran a story
- 28:21Speaker 2: about Gaza's most vulnerable civilians, including Mohammad Zakira al Mataqua,
- 28:26Speaker 2: who is about eighteen months old and suffers from severe malnutrition.
- 28:31Speaker 2: We have since learned new information, including from the hospital
- 28:34Speaker 2: that has treated him and his medical records, and have
- 28:36Speaker 2: updated our story to add context about his pre existing
- 28:39Speaker 2: health problems. This additional detail gives readers greater understanding of
- 28:44Speaker 2: his situation. Our reporters and photographers continue to report from
- 28:48Speaker 2: Gaza bravely, sensitively, and at personal risk, so that our
- 28:53Speaker 2: readers can see firsthand the consequences of the war. That's
- 28:57Speaker 2: their fairly ridiculous retraction where they admit their lying to you.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Now here's what they didn't tell us. That Muhamma's mother
- 29:05Speaker 2: indicated that her son suffers from quote a muscle disorder
- 29:09Speaker 2: through which he received specialized nutrition and physical therapy. And
- 29:15Speaker 2: another journalist reported the young boy has quote cerebral palsy
- 29:20Speaker 2: hypo exemia and was born with a serious genetic order.
- 29:24Speaker 2: So they showed a child who's very sick, but he's
- 29:28Speaker 2: not very sick from starvation, he's very sick from other
- 29:31Speaker 2: medical conditions. And The New York Times happily plays the
- 29:36Speaker 2: role of Hamas's propagandists, and sadly senate Democrats are cheering
- 29:41Speaker 2: on that false propaganda. Interestingly enough, the pattern of this
- 29:46Speaker 2: is exactly the same as the pattern of Hillary Clinton
- 29:49Speaker 2: signing off on the false Russia story. It is take
- 29:53Speaker 2: a lie, count on the corporate media to spread that lie,
- 29:56Speaker 2: count on Democrat politicians to spread that and not lie,
- 29:59Speaker 2: and count on friendly governments to spread that lie as well.
- 30:02Speaker 2: And everyone involves knows they are lying, but their political
- 30:07Speaker 2: agenda in this instance they hate Israel. They want to
- 30:10Speaker 2: undermine Israel and they want to elevate Hamas and sadly
- 30:14Speaker 2: that more and more senate Democrats are falling into that camp.
- 30:17Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with sentater
