- 2:02Speaker 1: shure will a good morning everybody, and y'all listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, nothing changes about that.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Nothing changes about that. Man. I was just so getting
- 2:18Speaker 1: ready to come on air this morning. I was just thinking, man,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I was just having a reflective moment of just how
- 2:28Speaker 1: really good God has been to me. I just it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: it's it's man. Let me just say that again, how
- 2:37Speaker 1: really good God has been to me. And here's a
- 2:42Speaker 1: cold part. In spite of myself, you understand, in spite
- 2:46Speaker 1: of all my shortcomings, in spite of all of my flaws,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and and and and and and in spite of all
- 2:55Speaker 1: of what anybody has said about me. YEA God, through
- 3:00Speaker 1: his grace and mercy, just keeps me anyway as always.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You know I was. I get taught things by people
- 3:07Speaker 1: who know a whole lot more than I do. And
- 3:10Speaker 1: Bishop TV Jakes is one of my favorite teachers. He's
- 3:13Speaker 1: just one of my favorite people. He happens to be
- 3:15Speaker 1: a friend of mine too. I mean, he's always there
- 3:19Speaker 1: for me when I don't have anywhere else to turn,
- 3:21Speaker 1: you know what I mean? He said he was talking
- 3:26Speaker 1: about the thing that he was calling exceptionalism, and what
- 3:31Speaker 1: it was all about was so many of us are
- 3:35Speaker 1: exceptional people, but we refuse to just go ahead and
- 3:43Speaker 1: be exceptional. We we settle for the ordinary. We followed
- 3:49Speaker 1: the pack. We try to fit in. Man, oh man,
- 3:54Speaker 1: oh man. You know I've heard my wife say this
- 3:56Speaker 1: to my children all the time when she's scolded my
- 3:59Speaker 1: talk it to him. Should be talking to him about leadership.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You know, why are you following everybody when God clearly
- 4:05Speaker 1: made you to lead? You know she talks to him
- 4:07Speaker 1: about that all the time. So many of us are born,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and so many of you are born to be exceptional people,
- 4:14Speaker 1: but we always trying to follow the pack, always trying
- 4:20Speaker 1: to be a follower, always trying to fit in, when
- 4:26Speaker 1: clearly you were born to be exceptional. And one of
- 4:31Speaker 1: the things he was talking about, I'm paraphrasing all this
- 4:33Speaker 1: now because I gotta get it into the way that
- 4:35Speaker 1: I can tell it to you. Because he's such a
- 4:37Speaker 1: gifted speaker man, that's he has, He's at another level.
- 4:41Speaker 1: So I'm trying to paraphrases to get you to wind
- 4:43Speaker 1: this where you can understand this. Why would you try
- 4:47Speaker 1: to fit in? Why would you try to be uh
- 4:52Speaker 1: like everybody else be ordinary? Why would you follow the
- 4:56Speaker 1: pack when God has created you to be exceptional? You
- 5:01Speaker 1: know that the key word in exceptional is except you.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Ever you ever done this right here? You know, everybody
- 5:09Speaker 1: did that except me. Everybody felt that way except me.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Everybody said that except me. Everybody won't wanted that except me.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Everybody went over there except me. Everybody jumped in except
- 5:28Speaker 1: me except me. See, why have you saying that in
- 5:34Speaker 1: your life if you were not to be exceptional? See
- 5:38Speaker 1: you got to say everybody except me at one point
- 5:41Speaker 1: in you two, I don't know who ain't done it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You know everybody wanted everybody voted no except me. See,
- 5:49Speaker 1: so you're you're not You're not created to follow the pack.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You ain't created to fit in. You ain't created to, uh,
- 5:57Speaker 1: you know, to be ordinary. You were created to be exceptional,
- 6:01Speaker 1: as exceptional as your fingerprint on your finger is. You
- 6:05Speaker 1: were created to be exceptional. Why not make this the
- 6:08Speaker 1: year that you go head on and be exceptional? Why
- 6:13Speaker 1: won't this be the year that you decide in your mind?
- 6:17Speaker 1: But just has to be a decision that we make.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Now we're not following the pack no more. We're not
- 6:22Speaker 1: trying to fit in no more. We ain't settling for
- 6:26Speaker 1: ordinary no more. We're gonna be exceptional. But you know,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you got you got to go ahead and follow that.
- 6:32Speaker 1: You got to get on the exceptional path because that's
- 6:35Speaker 1: what you were created for. Why be ordinary? You know?
- 6:38Speaker 1: But all of this this comes to it has to
- 6:40Speaker 1: start with a thought. You got to first think something
- 6:46Speaker 1: thought to become things. A man is as he thinketh
- 6:50Speaker 1: that's all you will ever be. So what are your
- 6:54Speaker 1: thoughts today? Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of fitting me in thoughts?
- 7:02Speaker 1: So why you want to be like everybody else? Why
- 7:05Speaker 1: you want to be ordinary when you could possibly be
- 7:08Speaker 1: extraordinary with a change of your mind, a change of
- 7:12Speaker 1: your venue, And you don't have to be any other
- 7:15Speaker 1: kind of way just because my mama was this way,
- 7:18Speaker 1: my daddy was this way, or this the school I
- 7:20Speaker 1: went to? This? What race I belong to? This is
- 7:23Speaker 1: my sexual preference, this is my this, this is my dad? Well?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Why how many? How many? How many excuses you need?
- 7:29Speaker 1: I'm an excuse? What? What? What? What? You? What's it
- 7:32Speaker 1: gonna be this year that we let another three hundred
- 7:36Speaker 1: and sixty five days slipped by without improving our condition,
- 7:40Speaker 1: our place, our spot, our life, the quality of life
- 7:45Speaker 1: we have. We cannot afford to keep letting all these
- 7:50Speaker 1: years go by without changing. You're an exceptional person. How
- 7:56Speaker 1: many times have you set up and said, everybody did
- 7:59Speaker 1: that except me? You know I was only everybody jumped
- 8:03Speaker 1: in accept me. I told him I knew it. Everybody
- 8:08Speaker 1: voted for that except me. And now look at it, man,
- 8:12Speaker 1: it seemed like everybody went that way except me. Okay,
- 8:17Speaker 1: do you get it? Do? Do? Do you understand what's
- 8:21Speaker 1: being said to you that don't accept me is because
- 8:25Speaker 1: couldn't it be because you're an exceptional person, and it's
- 8:29Speaker 1: time for you to take control of that. It's time
- 8:31Speaker 1: for you to start thinking different. It's time for you
- 8:34Speaker 1: to start acting on what you think. It's time for
- 8:37Speaker 1: you to start doing something about it. It's time for
- 8:39Speaker 1: you to stop taking each and every day that God
- 8:42Speaker 1: gives us for granted and letting them go by the
- 8:44Speaker 1: wayside like you got plenty more. Well, you may have
- 8:48Speaker 1: plenty of more, but guess what what you wasting the
- 8:50Speaker 1: ones you got for? I got you young, and you
- 8:54Speaker 1: and you feel like you're gonna live forever. Okay, cool,
- 8:58Speaker 1: But let me ask you something. See here here, here
- 9:00Speaker 1: go the part about suppose you do live? See see
- 9:04Speaker 1: everybody willing about dying. But I got news for you.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Suppose you keep on living. You want to keep living
- 9:09Speaker 1: in the condition you in now. You want to keep
- 9:12Speaker 1: living with the money you got now. You want to
- 9:14Speaker 1: keep living with the relationship you got now. You want
- 9:17Speaker 1: to keep living by yourself like you are now. You
- 9:20Speaker 1: want to keep wanting the right relationship, the right man
- 9:22Speaker 1: and the right woman, but you keep getting the wrong one.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You want to keep doing that for the rest of
- 9:27Speaker 1: your life. Problem, ain't dying It's problem is if you
- 9:29Speaker 1: keep on living. Who wants to keep on living just
- 9:32Speaker 1: the way they are right now? And if you could
- 9:35Speaker 1: say I'm cool, what I am just the way I
- 9:37Speaker 1: am right now? In cool, this conversation ain't for you.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with that. You know, you
- 9:43Speaker 1: want to say, greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional ain't
- 9:47Speaker 1: for everybody. Becoming extraordinary ain't for everybody. Heck, becoming successful
- 9:53Speaker 1: ain't for everybody. I got it. And you can come
- 9:56Speaker 1: up with a way to justify your non existence and
- 9:59Speaker 1: your ordinary in life all you want, and that's finding dandy.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with it. Because some people
- 10:05Speaker 1: just gonna be regular. Some people just gonna follow the pack,
- 10:09Speaker 1: follow the crowd. Some people just wants to fit in.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But if you're not that person, if you want to
- 10:15Speaker 1: be extraordinary, if you want to be exceptional, if you
- 10:19Speaker 1: want to be if you want to dad to be
- 10:20Speaker 1: great at something, and you got to change your mind set.
- 10:24Speaker 1: You got to get with your creat and find out
- 10:26Speaker 1: what he created you fault. You gotta quit thinking of
- 10:29Speaker 1: things just in your own thought process, you know, lean
- 10:32Speaker 1: not to your own understanding. I don't know where that is,
- 10:35Speaker 1: but it's in there somewhere seeing. Once you lean, if
- 10:38Speaker 1: you lean to your own understanding, you know what it's
- 10:40Speaker 1: gonna do. It's gonna limit you, man, it's gonna limit you.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Why not see what God God for you. I would
- 10:47Speaker 1: rather know what God got for me than to think
- 10:49Speaker 1: of all the things I could because I can't out
- 10:52Speaker 1: think him out and tried it before. All right, it's
- 10:54Speaker 1: just the beginning. We're gonna have a good one. Man.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Let's go show. Ladies and gentlemen, we are here. It
- 11:04Speaker 1: is the beginning of uh well, what has become to
- 11:08Speaker 1: be known as it's a morning show. It's a little
- 11:11Speaker 1: bit different though, because you never know how ignorant it gets.
- 11:17Speaker 1: But it will be ignorant though, ladies and gentlemen. To
- 11:20Speaker 1: Steve Harvey morning show. Yeah, as a morning showy to
- 11:29Speaker 1: do some people going what is they doing all the time?
- 11:33Speaker 1: That Shirley, good morning, Colin for real, we are the
- 11:39Speaker 1: number one morning show. What's up morning? Hill from now
- 11:46Speaker 1: referred to me as bitter man, so they'll know what
- 11:48Speaker 1: they're getting. A bitter man man, Thank you, I'm here. Yeah,
- 11:58Speaker 1: anything you want to be referred to? Time? Uh just
- 12:02Speaker 1: timing hashtag number one Mona show. That's it the time
- 12:07Speaker 1: to hashtag number one Moner show. Since we've become since
- 12:11Speaker 1: we've come to be known as the morning Show. How
- 12:16Speaker 1: was your weekend, Steve the Browns? Yeah, are you? I
- 12:22Speaker 1: don't even know why we was off yesterday, Clombo, let's
- 12:26Speaker 1: get after it all started to come in just to
- 12:30Speaker 1: remind y'all off Columbus Day. All in the way, Cleveland Browns. Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 1: one to congratulation. Yeah, team man, when you're back now, Oh,
- 12:52Speaker 1: we're tough. Now, man, we're strong. Baker were strong. It's
- 12:56Speaker 1: not Baker is Baker Baker. I'm gonna tell you what it's.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It's really the defense man. The defense is strong. And
- 13:06Speaker 1: I am stunned at this quarterback that we drafted without
- 13:10Speaker 1: fourth pick this award. Yeah, I didn't know. And he
- 13:16Speaker 1: from Ohio State. He went under the radar on me.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I was stunned when we picked him. Bob. I'm so
- 13:22Speaker 1: glad we got that ball dog. This dude right here. Man,
- 13:28Speaker 1: he's he'd be around the ball. He'd be around the ball.
- 13:33Speaker 1: The boy could play some ball man. Go ahead, Taylor
- 13:38Speaker 1: get his job back. No, No, he can't get the job.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Not in Cleve that takes. Yeah, burned that state here down.
- 13:49Speaker 1: We're gonna sit in there like the Texans ain't Winna,
- 13:53Speaker 1: We're not. You bring it up, know the joy I
- 14:00Speaker 1: had the Cowboys. Yes, Anytana Cowboys loses a good day, yes,
- 14:09Speaker 1: but you know what, it's just some somehow the Texans winning.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Jest ain't the news at the Browns. Look at you
- 14:20Speaker 1: don't have the same weight to me. I'm happy for you,
- 14:26Speaker 1: but whatever. Alright, So we took off yesterday. Yesterday was
- 14:32Speaker 1: Columbus Day. You know what's referred to as Columbus Day,
- 14:35Speaker 1: the day he discovered America. Of course, so we'll find
- 14:38Speaker 1: out what everybody did over the weekend. We'll talk more
- 14:40Speaker 1: football coming up at thirty two after the hour. You're
- 14:44Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, So we
- 14:48Speaker 1: left off talking about Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Tommy was mad because you didn't say anything about his
- 14:55Speaker 1: Houston team, and you said, I don't think he was mad, Well,
- 14:59Speaker 1: it kind it sounded like he was. I just think
- 15:01Speaker 1: I just wanted to make sure we recognize that Texas off. Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and he can be put off. He'd be put out
- 15:12Speaker 1: because Cleveland winning is way, but y'all supposed to well,
- 15:20Speaker 1: y'all almost ended in another time, not nothing, no, no, wait,
- 15:24Speaker 1: who who whoo whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. Y'all as was
- 15:28Speaker 1: almost gonna be in a tie and all I was
- 15:31Speaker 1: here and you say it was nobody won't that tie?
- 15:34Speaker 1: But the tide would have been embedded than that lost.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Y'all was almost in a tie. This, son, this ain't
- 15:44Speaker 1: horsh shoe. You can't almost. We can show that, that's
- 15:48Speaker 1: all I can show it out Sunday Sunday. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 1: that boy right there, Boy, he got three spins and
- 15:58Speaker 1: we weren't kid. I can't spend but one time, and
- 16:02Speaker 1: then right after I spin, I'm gonna fall even if
- 16:07Speaker 1: they pledge me. Yeah. If I spind, I ain't gonna
- 16:11Speaker 1: really know which way I was going. I'd probably spin
- 16:15Speaker 1: and run straight out of bounds. Why I don'pen nobody
- 16:18Speaker 1: around me? What happened? I got turned around? What you do?
- 16:23Speaker 1: I spawn? Hey, you gotta ask j what's going on? Though?
- 16:29Speaker 1: Because he's changed his name back to bitter Man. I'm
- 16:33Speaker 1: used to the name that we that you guys gave me, right,
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'm used to this we haven't used it. What do
- 16:39Speaker 1: you mean? He's still better? But yeah, but we haven't
- 16:42Speaker 1: used in a while. Now he actually wants us too.
- 16:46Speaker 1: But he did something specific happen. No, no, it's a
- 16:52Speaker 1: list of things. What it's the marriages? The marriages? What
- 17:00Speaker 1: happened at the other workplace? Yeah, but that was gonna
- 17:06Speaker 1: went over there. But you'll be holding on the stuff Jack. Oh,
- 17:10Speaker 1: why that stuff? Why let it go? Eat that you
- 17:15Speaker 1: because it's stressed. You have divtes okay, healthy Steve. Steve
- 17:20Speaker 1: knows bitterness pays my bills. Let me play something, y'all.
- 17:26Speaker 1: He he's still better about his tailor shop clo. How
- 17:33Speaker 1: long ago? Was that night too? One of the biggest
- 17:39Speaker 1: comedy careers and he but he mad by that? Really? Yeah?
- 17:45Speaker 1: Maybe maybe he wants to go on the cruise since
- 17:47Speaker 1: he ain't been able to go on one. He don't
- 17:52Speaker 1: want to be out there. He don't ask for no pitch.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Please don't ask this man on a seven day cruise.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I got two good days. It's dumb. Are you mad
- 18:10Speaker 1: because you came over here? What I mean? What is it?
- 18:13Speaker 1: I'm over here mad? I'm not mad because I came
- 18:15Speaker 1: over here. I'm over here and I'm mad. There's two
- 18:18Speaker 1: different things. Yeah, I love that, man. I'm over here. Man,
- 18:25Speaker 1: he went, he went the mad. But that's just stressful.
- 18:29Speaker 1: That's taxing on your body, on your not healthy. Yeah,
- 18:34Speaker 1: helly god even more so, you're gonna stress yourself out
- 18:39Speaker 1: even more. Man, you gotta help him. No, no, no,
- 18:44Speaker 1: he mad because he can't eat cake and Pae? Did
- 18:48Speaker 1: he eat the cake and Pae? And did he made? Well?
- 18:53Speaker 1: The holidays are coming up? So what's he gonna do?
- 18:55Speaker 1: What does he normally do? I'm not mad, I'm ditter.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's a difference. I'm not mad. A bitter. Bitter is
- 19:03Speaker 1: like the baby of man. I mean, it's it's like
- 19:07Speaker 1: mad on tin or something. You know, you pass man, Yeah, yeah,
- 19:13Speaker 1: it's worse than man. You just you didn't held on
- 19:16Speaker 1: so much. Where just he knows Sunshine when she's gonna
- 19:23Speaker 1: ever ever? Okay, well that's it. Then you need to
- 19:28Speaker 1: be in a relationship. That's it. Out another relationship and
- 19:41Speaker 1: take her. Damn, Mike, I don't have so much on
- 19:43Speaker 1: this show. Which could you take her? Mic out? You
- 19:46Speaker 1: don't want to be booed up. I'm trying to help you.
- 19:49Speaker 1: The holidays of coming it's starting to get cold. Okay,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you need to be booed up. Yeah, let's just fine.
- 19:55Speaker 1: When you first met Jay Brown, was he mad then? Yeah?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Because he knocked. He knocked and I said, yeah, yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 1: that's the dope. Man. Let me tell you all the story.
- 20:09Speaker 1: This was my first road gig. I didn't know and uh.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I went down there to check in at the red
- 20:15Speaker 1: roof and they said, your roommate is already upstairs. It
- 20:18Speaker 1: was my first gig on the road. So I had
- 20:21Speaker 1: to go upstairs and knock on the door. He has
- 20:23Speaker 1: the door. I said, hey, bro' was that it. Man,
- 20:25Speaker 1: my name is Steve Harger. I'm I'm supposed to be
- 20:28Speaker 1: your room man. He said, he's no, man, you're not
- 20:31Speaker 1: staying him. That's what he said. Yeah, he said. He said, no, man,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you're not staying him. I said, you with the tom
- 20:43Speaker 1: Sober tool. He said yeah. I said, well, they told
- 20:46Speaker 1: me down to death. He said, I don't share rooms, nobody, man.
- 20:49Speaker 1: This He had both the beds, he had a sewing machine,
- 20:52Speaker 1: a portable TV phone card, he had stuff all over
- 20:56Speaker 1: that bed. I was looking at that. I didn't handle
- 20:59Speaker 1: money from the other room. Wow. So I told him
- 21:02Speaker 1: that I said, my man, I say, I don't know
- 21:05Speaker 1: what to tell you, but I ain't got no room.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I ain't got no I saw that signed downstairs. I said, hey, man,
- 21:13Speaker 1: I ain't got no money for the room. So I
- 21:15Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you. But he said, we'll
- 21:18Speaker 1: here go to money for the room. Oh yeah, he
- 21:24Speaker 1: gave me. I would I got me room. I won't
- 21:27Speaker 1: stay with the black bitter that after he got the money.
- 21:33Speaker 1: He's a smart man, all right. Coming up NeXT's the
- 21:41Speaker 1: nephew and run that prank back right after this you're
- 21:45Speaker 1: listening to show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:50Speaker 1: In national news, state of emergency declared for the state
- 21:54Speaker 1: of Florida. Wow, not again, and mandatory evacuations have been
- 21:58Speaker 1: ordered for the Florida coast due to Hurricane Michael H. Yeah,
- 22:04Speaker 1: I know, I know. It seems like yeah, alright. Entertainment news,
- 22:09Speaker 1: President Trump tells Taylor Swift to stay out of politics
- 22:12Speaker 1: and Tracy Ellis Ross will host the American Music Awards tonight.
- 22:16Speaker 1: But first, the nephew is here to run that frank back,
- 22:18Speaker 1: King of Frank's what you got? You'll send my wife
- 22:21Speaker 1: some pictures? Wow, you send my wife some pictures. He
- 22:28Speaker 1: sounds like, man. Yeah, he sounds like speak to trouble.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Hey man, you've been seing pictures of uh your damn
- 22:41Speaker 1: stomach to my wife phone? Hey man, have y'all been

- 29:26Speaker 1: held Ohio the Nephew come to town, The Funny Bone
- 29:29Speaker 1: Baby that's going down this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Toledo, Ohio.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Get your tickets. The Nephew is on the way. Been
- 29:36Speaker 1: about two and a half years since I've been there,
- 29:38Speaker 1: coming back again to lead Ohio the Funny Bone. Thurst
- 29:41Speaker 1: Fride said, because I don't say red now, right, Junior
- 29:46Speaker 1: that's it right there. Dare is Toledo third Friday said,
- 29:51Speaker 1: come in town, come around once a year. That's the part.
- 29:59Speaker 1: J Ah, he don't know what. You don't know what
- 30:08Speaker 1: he right there. You can ask why do you do that?
- 30:12Speaker 1: I don't know. He just gonna be stupid your whole
- 30:16Speaker 1: life age. Yeah, well, coming up and wander Texas, coming
- 30:26Speaker 1: up and entertainment news. President President Trump tells Taylor Swift
- 30:30Speaker 1: to stay out of politics and we'll be right back.
- 30:38Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Pop superstar Taylor Swift announced Sunday
- 30:46Speaker 1: that she's voting for Tennessee's Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredeson,
- 30:51Speaker 1: breaking her long standing refusal to discuss anything politics. She says,
- 30:55Speaker 1: in the past, I've been reluctant, reluctant to publicly voice
- 30:58Speaker 1: my political opinions. But due to several events in my
- 31:01Speaker 1: life and in the world in the past two years,
- 31:05Speaker 1: I feel very differently about that now, Taylor wrote in
- 31:08Speaker 1: an Instagram post. Taylor is not only voting for the
- 31:11Speaker 1: former Tennessee governor fir Senate, but also Democrat Jim Cooper
- 31:15Speaker 1: for the House. While the President of the United States
- 31:18Speaker 1: he didn't like that very well. He threw some shade
- 31:20Speaker 1: at Taylor, saying that he likes her music less now
- 31:26Speaker 1: after her Democratic endorsement. Uh wow, he's that's that's beyond
- 31:33Speaker 1: ridiculous from the president. Yes, why are you comment on
- 31:38Speaker 1: what Taylor Swift say? Um? A lot of people though
- 31:42Speaker 1: commented on Twitter and stuff, you know, saying that they
- 31:45Speaker 1: would unfollow her and her career is going to tank
- 31:48Speaker 1: now after she made that inducement. That doesn't sense, Yeah,
- 31:52Speaker 1: it doesn't. Yeah, because they want her to be political.
- 31:55Speaker 1: They just nobody. Everybody has a vote, yea, Every American
- 32:02Speaker 1: has a vote. Who has registered her vote? Is is
- 32:06Speaker 1: her vote. She has the right to say what she
- 32:08Speaker 1: want to do in this free country we call America.
- 32:12Speaker 1: But um, you know, a vote for a Democrat. Of course,
- 32:14Speaker 1: the Republicans look at it as a vote against Donald Trump.
- 32:18Speaker 1: So that's what it is, and that's exactly what it is.
- 32:21Speaker 1: And the majority of people really are against what Donald
- 32:24Speaker 1: Trump has done. Now here's here's the situation. Here's a deal.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Donald Trump as a president is starting to tout some accomplishments.
- 32:37Speaker 1: One of them he's touting is unemployment numbers as lords
- 32:41Speaker 1: they've ever been in decades, which is a true statement.
- 32:45Speaker 1: It's also an an overrun from the things Obama implemented.
- 32:51Speaker 1: But since he's on deck, he gonna take the credit.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Everybody knows. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah uh. Now he
- 33:01Speaker 1: has increased manufacturing jobs in this country too because of
- 33:07Speaker 1: some of the tax breaks and stuff he's implemented. That's
- 33:11Speaker 1: true too. The problem is he's done so much bad
- 33:18Speaker 1: for the welfare of unity in this country and around
- 33:23Speaker 1: the world that it's it's hard to overlook that and
- 33:27Speaker 1: just tout his accomplishments, which he has some. If you're
- 33:31Speaker 1: gonna let him do it, he has some accomplishments, but
- 33:34Speaker 1: he's done so much to Muslims, so much to immigrants,
- 33:39Speaker 1: to docker so much to unity around this country. You
- 33:44Speaker 1: can't be talking about there's good people on both sides
- 33:47Speaker 1: when his skin's head clansmen and white nationalists on one side,
- 33:51Speaker 1: they're not good people. He doesn't understand his comments about Snoop,
- 33:56Speaker 1: his comments about Caffe Griffin's comments about Don Lemon, his
- 34:01Speaker 1: comments about Taylor Swift, his comments about Kappany. These are
- 34:04Speaker 1: people who are sports and entertainment. Why you over him?
- 34:08Speaker 1: If you want Taylor Swift to stay out of politics,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you stay out of entertainment in sports. Yeah, stay your
- 34:16Speaker 1: ass in politics and stay out of sports and entertainment.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Not good at politics. You can't tell him that. I
- 34:26Speaker 1: hope we can vote, so you can stay at the
- 34:28Speaker 1: White House. We have to show up. We have to
- 34:32Speaker 1: show up. But man, if he only understood what his
- 34:35Speaker 1: real job was as the president and what his job
- 34:39Speaker 1: wasn't he could be in there for minute. You're right,
- 34:42Speaker 1: all right, Steve. Let's this time for today's headlines. Ladies
- 34:46Speaker 1: and gentlemen, missaying trip. Thank you very much, everybody. This
- 34:50Speaker 1: is a trip with the news. Okay. The ex Cleveland
- 34:53Speaker 1: cop who shot a twelve year old black child to
- 34:55Speaker 1: death four years ago has landed another job in another
- 34:57Speaker 1: part of the state. Young to me or right, you
- 34:59Speaker 1: may remember, was playing with a fake gun in a
- 35:01Speaker 1: local park when then officer Timothy Lohman and his partner
- 35:06Speaker 1: answered a nine one one call about somebody brandishing a gun,
- 35:09Speaker 1: but that that someone was probably a juvenile and that
- 35:11Speaker 1: the gun was probably fake. Nevertheless, video shows Loman rolling
- 35:15Speaker 1: up to the park seeing young Tamir and only seconds later,
- 35:18Speaker 1: seconds later, shooting the child to death, never even asking him,
- 35:22Speaker 1: for instance, to put the gun down. So he could
- 35:23Speaker 1: check it. Loman wasn't indicted, but he was fired. Now
- 35:26Speaker 1: it turns out that he lied to the Cleveland p
- 35:28Speaker 1: D about having recently resigned from the Independence, Ohio department
- 35:32Speaker 1: because he was about to be fired there, and about
- 35:35Speaker 1: apparently failing the written exam to sign onto the Maple
- 35:38Speaker 1: Heights Department. This guy has another job as a police
- 35:42Speaker 1: officer now in the village of bel Air, Ohio. By
- 35:45Speaker 1: the way, the city did settle a wrongful death student
- 35:47Speaker 1: with Tamir Rice his film for six million dollars. It's
- 35:50Speaker 1: now Hurricane Michael, which is slamm in Cuba with heavy
- 35:52Speaker 1: rains and winds. It could finally come ashore in Florida
- 35:55Speaker 1: as a Category three storm. Last night, President Trump officially
- 35:58Speaker 1: swore Judge Brett Kavanaugh into his new position as Justice
- 36:01Speaker 1: of the Supreme Court, and he started by issuing an
- 36:04Speaker 1: apology to him. What happened to the Kavanaugh family violates
- 36:07Speaker 1: every notion of fairness, decency, and due process our country.
- 36:13Speaker 1: A man or a woman must always be presumed innocent
- 36:16Speaker 1: unless and until proven guilty. However, many New Yorkers remember
- 36:21Speaker 1: how citizen Trump took out a full page add the
- 36:24Speaker 1: New York times years ago, calling for the death penalty
- 36:27Speaker 1: for the five black and Latino youngs is accused of
- 36:29Speaker 1: attacking the so called Central Park jogger. They hadn't gone
- 36:32Speaker 1: to trial. Then later the five men were convicted with
- 36:35Speaker 1: no evidence, physical evidence at all, and then we'll later examinate,
- 36:39Speaker 1: exonerated when the real killer came forward. Meanwhile, former Secretary
- 36:42Speaker 1: State Colin Powe was critical of the President Trump's handling
- 36:45Speaker 1: a foreign policy and everything. He was on CNN. My
- 36:47Speaker 1: favorite three words in our Constitution is the first three words,
- 36:52Speaker 1: we the people. We the people. But recently it's become
- 36:57Speaker 1: me the president, and you see things that should not
- 37:00Speaker 1: be happening. How can the President United States get up
- 37:03Speaker 1: and say that the media is the enemy of Americans?
- 37:07Speaker 1: As he read the First Amendment, You're not supposed to
- 37:10Speaker 1: like everything the press says. What anyone says in the
- 37:12Speaker 1: first Amendent. That's why we have our First Amendment to
- 37:14Speaker 1: protect that kind of speech. That was calling Powell on
- 37:18Speaker 1: CNN at the box office over the Holly weekend. Tom's
- 37:21Speaker 1: Hardy's newest venom. Human beings are disposively man and sym
- 37:27Speaker 1: beauty a minded This is a new race your species.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Ben I'm brought in over eighty million dollars coming up.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Found the best post boxing fight interview ever. So stay
- 37:39Speaker 1: tuned to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:42Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Oh my god, Steve, okay, you
- 37:47Speaker 1: found the best post fight interview I think ever ever.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Let me play something. I watched the McGregor fight A guests,
- 37:57Speaker 1: Uh could be, Yeah, I see to be and great fight.
- 38:02Speaker 1: The undercard was as good as that fight, the Pettis fight,
- 38:08Speaker 1: the two women who fought, and then the heavyweight fight
- 38:11Speaker 1: between the Russian guy and Derek Lewis. After the fight,
- 38:17Speaker 1: the best post fight interview of all sports I've ever
- 38:22Speaker 1: heard in my entire life of watching sports. Say a lot.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Now I have a bleeped out version. This is where
- 38:30Speaker 1: we can play this. Yeah like you like he said,
- 38:39Speaker 1: I won't be listening. You know this ain't the one
- 38:42Speaker 1: I got. This is the interview after the fight. After
- 38:48Speaker 1: he knocks the Russian out with like twenty seconds left.
- 38:52Speaker 1: He was losing the whole fight. He finally called this
- 38:55Speaker 1: Russian with the big shot he to do throw Haymakers man,
- 38:58Speaker 1: and then he took his short off in the ring.
- 39:01Speaker 1: His m m a shorts and had just his bicycle
- 39:05Speaker 1: short tights on a funded with his cup. Here's the
- 39:09Speaker 1: interview with Joe Roman to win to Derrek Lewis, Derek,
- 39:11Speaker 1: why did you take your pants off? My bass was hot?
- 39:15Speaker 1: I understand you were looking for that big haymaker all night.
- 39:19Speaker 1: You found it in the last minute in the fight.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Talk us through this, Derrek. I forgot a few hours
- 39:25Speaker 1: before the fight, Donald Trump called me and told me
- 39:28Speaker 1: I got knocked this rush that because they're making him
- 39:30Speaker 1: look bad on the news. You know him may poop me,
- 39:34Speaker 1: but they're talking about you. Ain't saying this home got
- 39:38Speaker 1: you absolutely one of the top guys in line for
- 39:42Speaker 1: a shot to title next. So tell us where you
- 39:44Speaker 1: think about that. I need to see my black do
- 39:47Speaker 1: small cardio what you're talking about right now? I ain't
- 39:50Speaker 1: trying to fight from no title right now. No, no
- 39:52Speaker 1: guys planking right there. And thank you very much for
- 39:55Speaker 1: a really really entertaining fight. Thanks for having maybe next
- 40:00Speaker 1: week or two weeks from now. I'm come on anytime, sir,
- 40:06Speaker 1: anytime I've watched this probably thirty times, Steve, thank you,
- 40:24Speaker 1: thank you. Wow, Oh my god, I'm not a breath
- 40:30Speaker 1: and cussing at the same time. But you know what
- 40:34Speaker 1: they say about They said that Derrick Lewis, he pulled
- 40:39Speaker 1: about a hundred people from the flooding waters and Hurricane Harvey.
- 40:42Speaker 1: They said he's a he's a good, good guy. Yeah,
- 40:45Speaker 1: he's really good. All right. Coming up at thirty four
- 40:50Speaker 1: after the hour, we're gonna play are you Smarter than
- 40:53Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy? Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 40:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, come on, is everybody ready to
- 40:59Speaker 1: get stressed out? Yes, we've seen you through all kinds
- 41:02Speaker 1: of emotions on this show. Okay, all right, here we go.

- 43:31Speaker 1: I'm coming. I was just looking with the I mean
- 43:34Speaker 1: conversing with them, the judges. All right, we have judges
- 43:40Speaker 1: on this end already. What say you? I'll let you know,
- 43:45Speaker 1: all right? The dessert gelato originated in what country? Yeah?
- 43:49Speaker 1: That was Italy? Tommy won that one. What does an
- 43:52Speaker 1: orthodon is specialize in? Tommy got that one? Tith which
- 44:03Speaker 1: sorority is? Cheryl Underwood, a member of Jay got that?
- 44:08Speaker 1: And the movie Color Purple, who played the role of Mr.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Danny Glover. You said Donald Glover that number five? But
- 44:20Speaker 1: Maurice White was the lead singer of what legendary group
- 44:24Speaker 1: Earth Wind and Fire. I didn't hear that. Tommy got that.
- 44:28Speaker 1: What foreign automaker produces the may Buck Mercedes Ben Tommy?
- 44:33Speaker 1: And what city is the iconic club? Magic City? I know?
- 44:37Speaker 1: I got that one. That's Atlanta? And Jay got that
- 44:40Speaker 1: when you're right in the seventies sitcom the Jefferson's What
- 44:45Speaker 1: type of business did George Jefferson own? Cleaners? That was
- 44:48Speaker 1: a tie? We have it as a time Okay, all right?
- 44:54Speaker 1: What is Steve Harvey's favorite song by Shirley Murdoch? Uh,
- 44:58Speaker 1: Tommy got that As We Lay? As We Lay? And
- 45:04Speaker 1: that ain't surely my angel? And still I rise um Will,
- 45:10Speaker 1: Jack Grays and Karen are the characters on I'm Will
- 45:14Speaker 1: and Grace to Night. Yeah, alright, so we have Tommy
- 45:19Speaker 1: eight and j two mm hmmm, No. Three to four
- 45:28Speaker 1: being being new over here there's no. You didn't answer
- 45:33Speaker 1: the question being as the new guys. So you said
- 45:37Speaker 1: eight to two, it was six to four. It would
- 45:39Speaker 1: be six to three. Okay, alright, look we gotta get
- 45:43Speaker 1: out of here. Congratulations Tommy. Up next it is the
- 45:47Speaker 1: nephew and the prank phone call. Right after this, you're
- 45:50Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, nephew, it is
- 45:55Speaker 1: time for the prank phone call, of course, coming up
- 45:58Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Right about four minutes after,
- 46:00Speaker 1: it's today's Strawberry letter. The subject then she got the ring,
- 46:04Speaker 1: she changed everything. But right now, nephew, it's time for
- 46:08Speaker 1: the prank. What do you have for us? A wedding
- 46:12Speaker 1: and a funeral? A wedding and oh same time, same church.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Say hello this Ryan. Hi, I'm trying to Ryan Ryan.
- 46:32Speaker 1: How are you doing? Hey, I'm good. A second, this
- 46:35Speaker 1: is Josh. Josh go over at the I want to
- 46:37Speaker 1: be officials at the church where you guys are getting
- 46:40Speaker 1: married tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, how are you doing? Man? They
- 46:43Speaker 1: want to thank you all for that too. Man. We
- 46:45Speaker 1: we'll appreciate it. Good well. We definitely hope to make
- 46:47Speaker 1: you remember here soon or later. Since you guys are
- 46:50Speaker 1: getting married. You know, hey, man, you know I'm trying
- 46:52Speaker 1: to get this work schedule change up. You know what
- 46:54Speaker 1: I'm saying. They got me working on Sundays now, man,
- 46:56Speaker 1: So son Is I tweaked at the mood that around
- 46:58Speaker 1: a little bit. I'll be there, Okay, listen, we have
- 47:01Speaker 1: a bit of a situation has come up. We had
- 47:03Speaker 1: some problems and and miscommunication and it's definitely been on
- 47:07Speaker 1: the outside. Uh. They had your name Ryan down here
- 47:10Speaker 1: with your phone number as well as you're you're soon
- 47:13Speaker 1: to be wife, Sonya. They had her name here, but
- 47:15Speaker 1: we didn't want to call her with this. We wanted
- 47:17Speaker 1: to just reach out and talk to you and see
- 47:20Speaker 1: if it just makes you a way of what's going on? Okay,
- 47:23Speaker 1: What's what's going on? Man? There's been a mix up
- 47:25Speaker 1: on on scheduling. I don't know if you know such
- 47:28Speaker 1: the older make she passed away a week ago and
- 47:32Speaker 1: you're not you're not a member of church, so you
- 47:33Speaker 1: wouldn't know it. But she's one of the one of
- 47:35Speaker 1: the oldest members here at the church. Just the older
- 47:37Speaker 1: maid passed away, and what's going on is you all's
- 47:42Speaker 1: wedding is tomorrow at twelve o'clock, right, but the actual
- 47:47Speaker 1: funeral is at three o'clock here at the church. Okay, uh,
- 47:54Speaker 1: brother Josh, Josh, okay, look here, brother Josh. Hey man,
- 47:59Speaker 1: we we we already got this thing in motion. Man,
- 48:01Speaker 1: we didn't stand out. They have been a two hundred differentations. Man,
- 48:05Speaker 1: I mean blessed and and and and I understand that,
- 48:09Speaker 1: but but but I mean, you know, she there's no
- 48:12Speaker 1: way we could have moved it around now. The biggest
- 48:14Speaker 1: problem the funeral home is bringing the casket first thing
- 48:17Speaker 1: in the morning. So what I want what I wanted
- 48:19Speaker 1: to make you aware of, and I didn't want you
- 48:21Speaker 1: to tell your wife this, but the actual casket will
- 48:24Speaker 1: be in the Saint Vera, but we will have it.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Hold hold on, man, because you serious, I look at me.
- 48:30Speaker 1: He y'all need the mood this round. I don't know
- 48:32Speaker 1: what y'all gonna do. Y'all have a felliship all in
- 48:35Speaker 1: the back or something like that. We uh, Ryan, the
- 48:38Speaker 1: only place we can actually put the casket, and if
- 48:41Speaker 1: we didn't put it there is in the actual room
- 48:43Speaker 1: that you'll you'll soon to be wife would be changing it.
- 48:45Speaker 1: That's the only place. Changing the room when they were
- 48:50Speaker 1: dead bodies, but you till what and you know what,
- 48:53Speaker 1: I understood that. That's the first thing I thought of,
- 48:55Speaker 1: and I thought, I said, let's still put the casket away.
- 48:58Speaker 1: It goes for the funeral, and we've gonna cover it up.
- 49:01Speaker 1: And see, basically you actually didn't. But I can't even
- 49:05Speaker 1: believe you call only with did man look at and
- 49:08Speaker 1: excuse my french man. Yeah, I know I need to
- 49:10Speaker 1: get back in the church. I really do. But right now, Doug,
- 49:13Speaker 1: this ain't going down like this. Man. We didn't already
- 49:15Speaker 1: pay the money. And first of all, first of all,
- 49:19Speaker 1: you know, she don't even feel like she may had
- 49:21Speaker 1: to pay, you know, to hold no wedding over at
- 49:25Speaker 1: hut Hirt where she paid times at. That's that's the
- 49:27Speaker 1: first thing. You know. I ain't like that from the jumping.
- 49:29Speaker 1: But I wouldn't here when winded because she won't her
- 49:31Speaker 1: pastor to marry us. And now you got to nerd
- 49:34Speaker 1: to tell me that, well, arrange something that funeral gonna
- 49:37Speaker 1: happen the same day as my wedding and my wife's
- 49:39Speaker 1: got to get dressed in the room with a dead body. Well, no,
- 49:42Speaker 1: we're not gonna put it in there. Bro. I was like,
- 49:44Speaker 1: I say, I'm putting that body first thing in the morning.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna put that body in the right there in
- 49:49Speaker 1: front of the bullpit, and we're gonna cover it. Now,
- 49:53Speaker 1: what you're getting out of it is to get more flowers,
- 49:55Speaker 1: because there's gonna be flowers from the funeral. So I'm
- 49:58Speaker 1: thinking that's probably gonna be a little set up a
- 50:00Speaker 1: pert point. I just wanted you to be one's probably
- 50:03Speaker 1: gonna be more people than you think because some of
- 50:06Speaker 1: the people that's gonna be as your wed and it's
- 50:07Speaker 1: really for the funeral. A hold of man, are you
- 50:11Speaker 1: serious right now? I mean, look at doctor, I've been
- 50:14Speaker 1: paid for the where that happened at this church, man, Okay,
- 50:17Speaker 1: ain't and no disrespect to the lady that has passed
- 50:20Speaker 1: called blessed her family. I ain't planning to not putting
- 50:23Speaker 1: the dead body having a funeral at my wedding. Man,
- 50:27Speaker 1: that's crazy down the church. She's a member of the
- 50:32Speaker 1: church too. I don't I don't give it. I don't
- 50:34Speaker 1: be no member of the church. Man. I've been paid
- 50:36Speaker 1: for this wed and it's gonna happen tomorrow. Man, you
- 50:39Speaker 1: buy six And putting the dead body at my wedding.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Mr Right, I mean no disrespect, but the woman has passed.
- 50:50Speaker 1: She is not gonna get up. I mean, what is
- 50:53Speaker 1: the problem. The problem is you called me with this
- 50:56Speaker 1: man the day before my wed and we didn't schedule
- 50:58Speaker 1: there six months ago. Got to spend thirty thousand dollars
- 51:02Speaker 1: on this wind, okay, And you're gonna tell me that
- 51:04Speaker 1: we got to share our win with a funeral. But
- 51:06Speaker 1: the hellers won with you? Man. Do you want to
- 51:09Speaker 1: have your winning at this church? I'll pay for them.
- 51:12Speaker 1: And what you mean I'm having the wind? Okay, I'll
- 51:15Speaker 1: tell you what lived there about the up in the
- 51:16Speaker 1: morning I wrote in the right out to the street,
- 51:19Speaker 1: paying things the front and and and and throw flowers
- 51:22Speaker 1: like throwing rice. But we're gonna have a win inside
- 51:25Speaker 1: the same year tomorrow. I promise you that I care.
- 51:27Speaker 1: I care, not assure you that there won't be I
- 51:30Speaker 1: have no other place to put the body, Okay, Well,
- 51:33Speaker 1: I'll bet you'll find something to put it. If I
- 51:35Speaker 1: get that a mark, it's about it in there. It's
- 51:37Speaker 1: gonna be a couple of boutis in there. Name. You
- 51:39Speaker 1: got two choices to move that funeral or to reimburse
- 51:43Speaker 1: me back this thirty thousand dollars out of an hour
- 51:44Speaker 1: to spend those only two choices. I want to hear
- 51:46Speaker 1: about it. Meet me at the front door to night
- 51:48Speaker 1: with a thirty thousand dollar cash your check. Always say
- 51:51Speaker 1: they had his wind up in there to morrow morning.
- 51:53Speaker 1: You heard me. I ain't playing. I ain't playing at all.
- 51:56Speaker 1: No jokes. That's wrong with y'all. Man, You can do
- 51:59Speaker 1: something else. Listen, I understand that I don't want to
- 52:03Speaker 1: from you. Man. All I'm saying is it's gonna be
- 52:05Speaker 1: a win at this church tomorrow without bad about it.
- 52:09Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. Push it to the band. Man.
- 52:12Speaker 1: There's there's one more, a bit of an issue that
- 52:14Speaker 1: I need to tell you. Also, what can be worse
- 52:16Speaker 1: than a dead about it? What issue could be worse
- 52:18Speaker 1: than dead? By that way, the man, the issue, sir,
- 52:21Speaker 1: that is worse than the dead body is. This is
- 52:24Speaker 1: Nephew Timing from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your best man,
- 52:28Speaker 1: Jeff got me the prank phone. Call you what what
- 52:39Speaker 1: you know? What made the bench man about to get
- 52:41Speaker 1: the best when he can possibly get? Man playing? Then
- 52:47Speaker 1: got me that day just over uh, it is to
- 52:52Speaker 1: get the best beat down possible band. I'll tell you, hey,
- 52:56Speaker 1: one more question. What's the baddest radio show in the land?
- 52:59Speaker 1: Ran the Steve good on the show? Baby kind of scary,
- 53:05Speaker 1: ain't when somebody to have a funeral with a win. Well,
- 53:08Speaker 1: I'm not walking down the aisle with my bridal party
- 53:11Speaker 1: and we got passed by this, and I just say
- 53:13Speaker 1: something about any winding you go to, it's pretty much
- 53:16Speaker 1: anyone because somebody's gonna what die. Somebody's life has died,
- 53:26Speaker 1: and he's here's something else I know about weddings? Did
- 53:29Speaker 1: you know that taps taps and the wedding song in
- 53:33Speaker 1: the same damn key? Thank you very much on that?
- 53:39Speaker 1: Get your boy in the same key. It's millions of
- 53:44Speaker 1: songs in the same key. It ain't the same notes same,
- 53:47Speaker 1: it's the same notes. I'm not helping him. He's been like,
- 53:51Speaker 1: let bitter man live, Let him live. I know you
- 53:53Speaker 1: can beat this man by life at the wedding though June,
- 54:00Speaker 1: because he wants it to be a funeral. He died
- 54:05Speaker 1: three times? Is that what happened? A little bit? And
- 54:11Speaker 1: you die after each man? Yeah? Are you dead? Now?
- 54:16Speaker 1: What your bitter? What fun? Did you become a diabetic
- 54:22Speaker 1: doing the man, Jake, did you did? Did you pick
- 54:27Speaker 1: that disease diabetes? Diabetes because it has the word die
- 54:30Speaker 1: in it? What what is it with you? I don't
- 54:32Speaker 1: get it. No, you don't understand what He beat a man.
- 54:37Speaker 1: He picked that disease caused the hay she'll go head,
- 54:47Speaker 1: I know, okay, all right, Well thank you, nephew. Yeah,
- 54:54Speaker 1: he is the king, isn't he? All right? Coming up
- 54:57Speaker 1: with strawberry letters. Since she got the ring, she's changed everything.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. Right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 55:04Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. It is time for today's Strawberry Letter.
- 55:09Speaker 1: And if you need advice on relationships, dating, work, sex, parenting,
- 55:13Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey
- 55:16Speaker 1: FM dot com and click Strawberry Letter click submit Strawberry letter.
- 55:21Speaker 1: How about that, Steve? Tell them, I know, but they
- 55:24Speaker 1: like when you tell him to repeat everything. You see it?
- 55:34Speaker 1: All right? Buckle up, hold on tight, we got it
- 55:36Speaker 1: for you. Here it is sub Jackson. She got the ring,
- 55:40Speaker 1: She's changed everything. Here's Stephen Shirley. My girl and I
- 55:44Speaker 1: dated for six years and I proposed to her a
- 55:46Speaker 1: year ago on her birthday Since I gave her the ring,
- 55:50Speaker 1: her behavior has really changed, and she's been acting like
- 55:53Speaker 1: we're already married. Like married couples. We don't have sex
- 55:57Speaker 1: nearly as often we used as we used to, and
- 56:00Speaker 1: now she comes to bed in unflattering pajamas or one
- 56:04Speaker 1: of my big T shirts. Before we got engaged, she
- 56:07Speaker 1: used to cook dinner for me or make sure we
- 56:10Speaker 1: had a nice meal, but she rarely does that now.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Now whenever we go out, she complains about everything from
- 56:17Speaker 1: the traffic to the service at the restaurant. I have
- 56:21Speaker 1: had many discussions with her about the changes that I've
- 56:23Speaker 1: seen in her. She said that we'll be together the
- 56:26Speaker 1: rest of our lives, so I need to be sure
- 56:29Speaker 1: I can deal with it. We are only having sex
- 56:33Speaker 1: once or twice a week, which is a big change
- 56:35Speaker 1: for us. It's like she was on her best behavior
- 56:38Speaker 1: just to get the ring. I am a handsome, athletic man,
- 56:42Speaker 1: and I'm sure I won't have any problem starting over.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I shouldn't be thinking this way while I'm engaged. This
- 56:49Speaker 1: is the love of my life and I fulfill her
- 56:51Speaker 1: needs in every way, but she's not fulfilling mine. I
- 56:55Speaker 1: need to make a decision about our future before we
- 56:58Speaker 1: continue making wedding plans. Is it too late to call
- 57:01Speaker 1: it off? Please give me your honest advice. Wow, well,
- 57:06Speaker 1: it's never too late for anything. You should know that.
- 57:10Speaker 1: You should also know that whatever you're getting or not
- 57:13Speaker 1: getting right now. Uh, you know, it's gonna be the
- 57:17Speaker 1: same when you get married. Okay, Yeah, it's gonna be
- 57:22Speaker 1: the same as what you're getting now or what you're
- 57:24Speaker 1: not getting now when you're married. I'm really surprised that
- 57:27Speaker 1: she's changed so drastically so soon, though, I mean, which
- 57:30Speaker 1: means that's who she really is. Okay, she just got
- 57:34Speaker 1: the ring a year ago. I'm also surprised that in
- 57:36Speaker 1: the six years that you guys dated, you didn't see
- 57:39Speaker 1: in any of this before. Uh. This is a classic
- 57:43Speaker 1: case of now that I've gotten the man and the ring,
- 57:46Speaker 1: you know you can let yourself go. But that's not
- 57:50Speaker 1: the case. Okay, we can't do that. Once we get
- 57:53Speaker 1: a man in our lives, we got to step it
- 57:55Speaker 1: up even more. I mean, please don't do this, Um,
- 57:58Speaker 1: the same thing you did to get him. That's what
- 58:00Speaker 1: you have to do to keep him. I'm sure you've
- 58:02Speaker 1: heard that before. Um, you said you've talked to her
- 58:05Speaker 1: and you guys have had many discussions in Her response
- 58:09Speaker 1: is that you're gonna be together for the rest of
- 58:11Speaker 1: your lives, so you need to be sure that you
- 58:14Speaker 1: can deal with this, which says that she's not planning unchanging.
- 58:18Speaker 1: This is what it is. She kept it together for
- 58:21Speaker 1: six seven years. Now, this is what it is. Okay. Uh,
- 58:25Speaker 1: not a good sign. Not a good sign. Uh, you
- 58:28Speaker 1: need to think twice before uh dipping in the marriage
- 58:32Speaker 1: fool with this one getting married, taking vows with her
- 58:35Speaker 1: because she doesn't sound like she wants to change, she
- 58:37Speaker 1: has any desire to change, or she's going to change. Steve, Well,
- 58:43Speaker 1: well is it Let's just start at the bottom of
- 58:49Speaker 1: this letter. Is it too late to call it off?
- 58:53Speaker 1: Hell no, Hell no, it ain't too late. And just
- 58:59Speaker 1: just based on this ladder without any other information, which
- 59:03Speaker 1: we would need to have to make a real solid
- 59:07Speaker 1: piece of advice to you, but based on this ladder
- 59:10Speaker 1: right here. If all this is true and you have
- 59:14Speaker 1: nothing that you've done wrong on your part, which I
- 59:17Speaker 1: find to be impossible, I say it's over, I saying, rightfully,
- 59:24Speaker 1: So let's just talk about this for a second. First
- 59:27Speaker 1: of all, her behavior has changed, and you know why.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I think it changed because she did what she had
- 59:35Speaker 1: to do to get the ring. M hm, now she
- 59:41Speaker 1: got the ring. She though. She issued what Shirley told
- 59:47Speaker 1: you was the ultimate warning. We're gonna be together the
- 59:51Speaker 1: rest of our lives, so you need to figure out
- 59:53Speaker 1: if you could deal with it or not. Well, if
- 59:57Speaker 1: you can't deal with it, now, what adjustments you feeling
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: make to start dealing with it. She's not fulfilling my
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: needs and I fulfill all of hers. Well, we got
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: a problem, damn, partner, We got a real problem here.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Y'all having sex twice a week, y'all young, that's bothering you.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I'm cool with that twice a week? Nice? Good, thank you?
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Huh Yeah, but I'm sixty one. Yeah, okay, you probably
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: need more. It ain't. You ain't gonna get more. You're
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: not getting no more, she said. We're gonna be together
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the rest of our lives, so you need to figure
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: out if you could deal with it, because this is
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: how I'm will be. Shirley also made another excellent point
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: where she said, however it is now, nothing's gonna change.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Let me help you understand what Shirley meant by that.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: If it ain't good now, it ain't gonna get good.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: If it ain't good now, it ain't gonna get good.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Leave him on that one. Okay, Yeah, I ain't gonna
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: get good. Don't get better if it ain't good. You know,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: it ain't gonna get good. Keep saying saying like saying,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: ain't gonna get good. Hey, listen, hold that thought, Steve,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: We have more and I ain't gonna get good. We
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: have more From Steve's respect of his Part two of
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: his response coming up at twenty three after the hour
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: today subject, Since she got the ring, she's changed everything.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening morning show,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: All right, Steve. The letter for today, Since she got
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: the ring, she changed everything is a subject. Let's recap. Well,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the recap is simple. Dating this woman six seven years. Uh,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: she finally he gave a ring on her birthday. And
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: after that everything has changed. She talked different, she complained
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: about stuff, she complained in restaurants. She don't like nothing
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: no more. Uh. She only has sex twice a week
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: now and for y'all, that's a big change. And she
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: telling you that, you know, y'all gonna be together the
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: rest of your life. So if you if you can't
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: deal with it, you need to figure that out. You
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: ask us is it too late to cancel? And and
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: playing they don't know. I don't know, my dumb man.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: H excuse me. You got a woman that told you
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you're going to me together the rest of your life,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: So deal with it now, bro, you say she ain't
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: fulfilling your needs? Like I said, if it ain't good now,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: it ain't gonna get good. Now. Here's a couple of
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: things of advice. I want to guilt to you. How
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: is her mom and dad's relationship? Are they together? Is
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: their relationship like that? Because a lot of times I've
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: noticed a lot of people emulate their parents style of
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: marriage because that's what they grew up around. They think
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: that's it. And a lot of times, if if if
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the wife is if the mom has been like overbearing
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: and bullying and the father just sat there and kind
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: of dealt with it, she kind of takes that into
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the marriage. So you might want to look at the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: mom and dad's marriage. Also, here's the big one. There's
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: the way she's treating you now. Could be paid back
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: for you making her weight six damn years on this ring?
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: See they do that so times too, so you could
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: look at it like that. Now these hunting out fish
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: that she's wearing the bad let me help you with something.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: They're gonna get worse. Whatever she's coming to bed in. Now,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: get ready you feel to get that house coat with
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: them lip balls all over it. You're fit to get
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: them house shoes that used to be fluffy, Now they're
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: matted down with chicken and fishing in my house. Yeah,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: and then yeah, and then let me tell you this
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: head then that. Then that little boat she used to
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: tie in the front of it, and it ain't gonna
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: be a bo It's gonna be a little slip knock
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: because she ain't got enough fabric to make a boat.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: The dude, man, and that and that, and that goes
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: true with me and too. If you're married to him,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: that's kind of nasty. If he gave out of the way,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: he's just gonna be big nasty. Hey man, I don't
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: mean not a proponent of divorce, but I ain't a
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: proponent of going and staying in hell. The plaque that
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: sits on my death says, if you're going through hell,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: keep going. So if I was you dogging, I get
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: out my friend feelings. They're appointed due to bom bom
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: bom bump bound boom out. They keep trying to tell
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: me bump bump bottom on them that I harder not
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: to let you just walk over me. He and I'm
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: sure he met where he come on old school. Yeah,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: but the winter I talk was through found your bound bound?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I said, brother, if you only knew, you'd wish that
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: you would in my shoes. Oh you just keep on
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: using me. You used me? Huh man, that was great.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: That was great. Junior is looking like I don't remember
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Jody Judas never spoke this type of truth that was
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: for you. Yeah, I got that. That was up all
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: the neck wobble one y'all did that wasn't really singing it.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: That was that was us. He did that. That would
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: have never got you a contract in the setting. Well
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: and said, folks, So you know, I don't know what
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: to tell you. This looks like it's over. I run
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: if I was you, bro. Yeah, that's as you can
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: because it surely said it. It's not gonna get better.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: It's just not. I if it ain't good now, if
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: it ain't good now, it ain't gonna get good yeah,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: sound like a blue song, and it really didn't. If
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: it ain't good now, yeah, you can stick around. If
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: it ain't good now, you might as well not stick around, Dan,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: if it ain't good now, might not stick around. If
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: it ain't good now, it ain't gonna get good, So move,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: get your bad chap somebody. Hey, Jake, that's what do
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: we want to do? It live on air? Blue? All right?
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: All right, No, no, I haven't want to hear it here.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: You damn it times I've heard that, but from now?
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: What did the boxes say from earlier? Yes, Derek, I've
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: never seen this before. Why did you take your shots off?
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: My this is high? That sounded like a boone right there?
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: All right, listen, we gotta get out of here. Please
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: email us your Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's strawberry

- 1:09:05Speaker 1: wheel right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Show.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: All right, Steve. The state of emergency has been declared
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: for the state of Florida and mandatory evacuations have been
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: ordered for the Florida Florida coast due to Hurricane Michael.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I'm sure you've heard about this. Another hurricane looks like
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: it's on the way. It's a powerful storm too. I mean,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: we say the same message over and over. Hurricanes don't
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: surprise you. You have to listen to authorities. They're telling
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: you to evacuate. We know it's late in the year,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: but it's still hurt. But and listen to the man.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: These evacuations are real. They're not. It's not all that.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Ain't nothing gonna happen. I'm gonna stay with my property.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: You can't beat mother nature and you can't predict it.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: And when we're talking water, water does things that you
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: can't anticipate. So please, if you if you get the no,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: if you get the word to evacuate, do not hesitate.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Just think of the people who stayed and lost their lives.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: I feel so sorry for that lady who tried to
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: cross the street when the waters was raging with a
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: one year old and then the baby slipped out of
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: her hand. And now, now check this out. I understand
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: that evacuating is tough when you're not financially fit. You know,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: some people ain't got ain't got no money to go nowhere.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Ain't got no family nowhere to go. You still got

- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the Cowboys. All pimps hate the Cowboys. It's a couple
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: of pimps like the cowboy. It's happy pimps, happy and
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: happy and sunny. Oh not here, not then brown fans.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: I just like their names. Happy sonny, what's up? Dollar bill?
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: You've never seen pimp? And no shows. They trying want
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: me to put us all in short sets at the
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: players ball. We that it ain't going good at all.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: Somebody lives and threw up because he don wan hadn't
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: put notion on his legs and sixty. He was ashy,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: and he was asked, you just scale up? You know what?
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Looked like he had been in a fine scale up.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: I thought he had on gator boots. It was his
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: legs and damn, I said, man, look at him. Do
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: you keep your your pinky finger? Do you keep that
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: nail long like the rest of the phil Now I
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: don't do the long nail. I just I just don't know.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: I just don't never pull it in. Now I don't
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: do the long nail. But I just I don't never
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: pull my pink in. If I make a fist, the
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: pinky stay out. We gotta go pemping. That way, if
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: I'm drinking from my goblin, I can still point at
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: your right after that you're listening to show Top siber
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: starred Taylor Swift announced Sunday that she's voting for Tennessee's
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: Democratic Senate candidate Phil Britison, breaking her long standing refusal
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: to discuss anything politics. She says, in the past, I've
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: been reluctant, reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: due to several events in my life and in the
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: world in the past two years, I feel very differently
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: about that now, Taylor wrote in an Instagram post. Taylor
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: is not only voting for the former Tennessee governor for Senate,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: but also Democrat Jim Cooper for the House. While the
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: President of the United States he didn't like that very well.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: He threw some shade at Taylor, saying that he likes
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: her music less now after her Democratic endorsement. Uh wow,
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: he's that's that's beyond ridiculous from the president. Yes, why
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: are you comment what Taylor Swift say, Um, a lot
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: of people though commented on Twitter and stuff, you know,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: saying that they would unfollow her and her career is
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: going to tank now after she made that investment. That
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense. It doesn't because I want her
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: to be political. They just nobody. Everybody has a vote.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: Every American has a vote. Who has registered her vote
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: is her vote. She has the right to say what
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: she want to do. Yeah, in this free country we
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: call America. But um, you know, a vote for a Democrat.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Of course, the Republicans look at it as a vote
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: against Donald Trump. So that's what it is, and that's
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: exactly what it is. And the majority of people really
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: are against what Donald Trump has done. Now here's here's
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: a situation. Here's a deal. Donald Trump as a president
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: is starting to tout some accomplishments. Unemployment numbers as lords
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: they've ever been in decades, which is a true statement.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: It's also an an overrun from the things Obama implemented.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: But since he's on deck, he gonna take the credit.
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: Everybody knows that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Now he
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: has increased manufacturing jobs in this country too, because of
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: some of the tax breaks and stuff he's implemented. That's
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: true too. The problem is he's done so much bad
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: for the welfare of unity in this country and around
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: the world that it's it's hard to overlook that and
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: just tout his accomplishments, which he has some if you're
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: gonna let him do it, he has some accomplishments. But
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: he's done so much to Muslims, so much to immigrants,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: to docker so much to unity around this country. You
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: can't be talking about this good people on both sides
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: when his skin's head clansmen and white nationalists on one side,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: they're not good people. He doesn't understand his comments about Snoop,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: his comments about Caffie Griffin, his comments about Don Limon,
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: his comments about Taylor Swift, his comments about Cappery. These
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: are people who are sports and entertainment. Why you over him?
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: If you want Taylor Swift to stay out of politics,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: you stay out of entertainment and sports. Yeah, stay your
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: ass in politics and stay out of sports and entertainment.
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: Not good at You can't tell him that. I hope
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: we can vote so you can stay at the White House. Yes,
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: we have to show up. We have to show up,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: all right, coming up next to our last break of
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: the day and Steve will have some closing remarks. All
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: that's coming up at forty nine after the hour. Right
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: here we are, guys, as break up the day on
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: this Tuesday. Steve, you have some closing remarks for us. Yeah,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: you know. I want to remind everybody of something that
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: God created us all for greatness. All of us were
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: created in His likeness. All of us were created to
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: be an example of what God can do in people's lives.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: We were all created for this. What happens along the
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: way is we make decisions because God gave us the
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: power of choice. We make decisions at people as people
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: that counteract what God really intended for us. And one
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: of the reasons we counteract what God intended for us
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: is because the devil's main job the opposition is to
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: not allow you to reach your potential. See the devil
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: don't ever want you to reach your potential, because then
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: he'll have another child of God out there spreading the
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: word and showing often be an example of what light
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: can do, and what love can do, and what the
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: power of prayer can do. So his job is to
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: make each and every one of us fall by the wayside.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: That's his constant mission in life. To make us think
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: we're not worthy, to make us think we can't, to
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: make us think it ain't possible, to make us look
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: at our environment, to make us feel like well. And
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: it's because I'm this, I can't be that. Ain't none
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: of that truth, None of that is true. I bought
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: a book the other day by Joel Oldstein because I
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: was listening to him over the weekend and he since us.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: He was talking about his new book called Next Level Thinking,
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: and I bought the book. And because I constantly try
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: to reinforce myself. As successful as you may think I am,
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: I still have ways to go and I will always
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: try to improve myself. And people like Joel O. Seeing
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: Bishop Jake's, Bishop Olmer, Bishop Getties down there North Carolina,
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: My boy, you know, it's a lot of Charles Jenkins
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: up in Chicago. There's a lot of dudes. Man that
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: called me to make sure I'm okay. Check in on me.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Tyler check in on me. Dr Phield check in on me.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: I got a lot a lot of people checking in
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: on me. Man, make sure I'm okay uh. I was
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: reading his book because it's just I just needed some
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: more information and one of the things we I had
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: learned from his But in the first chapter, the title
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: of his chapters be a barrier Breaker, Be a barrier Breaker,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: And throughout the book it just talks about your surroundings,
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: your environment. That because you're from a family where ain't
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: nobody never made it out, don't mean that you have
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: to not be one of them, that you have to
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: be one of those and not make it out. Because
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: you come from a hood that don't have a whole
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: lot of millionaires made from that hood. That don't mean
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: that you can't be a barrier breaker and be one
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: of the millionaires from the hood. Just because nobody on
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: your block ever went to college, don't mean you can't
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: be the first one. Maybe nobody in your family ever
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: went to school, you're the first one. Maybe nobody in
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: your family ever became a supervisor at a post office
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: or the FedEx or UPS or any place else. Don't
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: mean that you can't you can become a barrier breaker.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: But see what a lot of us do if we
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: get so immersed in our environment that we adapt to
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: our environment and we must we act like this is it? Well,
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: if God had wanted me to be rich, I'd have
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: been born rich. What what did you say? I heard
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: a guy say that if God had wanted me to
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: be rich, I would have been born rich. So let
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: me ask you something, brother, all these people that have
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: gone from poverty to riches, what was their excuse or
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: what mindset that they used to become a barrier breaker?
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: To break the barrier poverty to become well off. I
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: chose to be a barrier breaker. I knew what my
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: family was. I loved my family dearly and still do.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: But what my family had I didn't want. As much
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: as I loved my mother and father, what my father
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: was and how hard I saw him work, I didn't
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: want that. I wanted something else. Now. Do I appreciate
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: the work as to keep putting me? Most certainly do that.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: I appreciate the faith and the fear of God that
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: my mama put in me. Oh, I most certainly do.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: But I didn't want to be the war sitting at
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: the church on the usher board. I didn't want that.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: I didn't want to work as hard as my father
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: and make the same money as my father. I wanted
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: to something else. I wanted to be a barrier breaker,
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: a barrier break. And one of the things he talked
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: about in the book is that so often we let
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: our environment and how we were raised and other people's
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: expectation of us set limits in our life. He was
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: saying that we adapt to what's around us. So what
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: he said in the book, I wanted to share what
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: you all In the book. He said that if you
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: take an oak tree seed, the seed of an oak tree,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: and you planned this seed from this oak tree in
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: a two ft pot, that olk tree will never become
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: what it was created to be if you leave it
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: in that pot, not because there's something wrong with the seed,
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: but because of the environment is in. Did you hear
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: what I just said. There is nothing wrong with you,
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: The problem is your environment. If you stay in the environment,
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: you will never grow. But you can choose to become
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: a barrier breaker and get out of any environment that
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: you're in. You can escape poverty, you can escape the hood,
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: you can escape bad thinking people, you can escape the
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: donpe game. You can become non addicted to drugs. You
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: can stop being an alcoholic. You can stop with God's help,
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: if you take an oak tree seed and you're plan
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: it in two foot pot. That tree will never become
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: what it was created to be if you leave it
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: in the pot, not cause there's something wrong with the seed,
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: but because the environment is in. You got to change
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: your environment. You find, you got to see, you got
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: everything you need to grow. You did. Those are my
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: closing Drop it, baby, drop it, get out that environment.
