- 1:59Speaker 3: That, Uh huh, I sure will come on with everybody
- 2:05Speaker 3: you are listening to the voice. Come on, dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 3: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 3: here we go. You know what's important, What's what can
- 2:21Speaker 3: be a huge part of your success is if you
- 2:25Speaker 3: if you find a balance, if you find a balance
- 2:30Speaker 3: in your life. That's that's been very important for me.
- 2:34Speaker 3: And I've really never phrased it this way until now,
- 2:38Speaker 3: but I was kind of thinking about it after my
- 2:41Speaker 3: wife and I mean we set up one night recently.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:44Speaker 3: You know, I often come on here and this is
- 2:46Speaker 3: kind of an inspirational moment of the show, and I
- 2:49Speaker 3: try to remind people about that most important relationship between
- 2:54Speaker 3: you and God. And that's that's the apex of it.
- 2:57Speaker 3: That's that's the that's the top of the Crown. You've
- 3:00Speaker 3: got to form the relationship with God. If you don't,
- 3:03Speaker 3: everything else struggles. It's hard to be a good husband
- 3:06Speaker 3: without God. It's hard to be a good family man
- 3:08Speaker 3: without God. It's hard to be successful without God. Man,
- 3:12Speaker 3: it's hard to be hard to get through this thing
- 3:14Speaker 3: called life without God.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So that's clear.
- 3:17Speaker 3: But at the same time, you can't talk about God.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Twenty four seven. You got to go to work. Come on, man,
- 3:25Speaker 3: let's just be real. I ain't doing I ain't your pastor,
- 3:27Speaker 3: I ain't at your church. But let's just be real
- 3:29Speaker 3: about it. You know now, people tell you got to
- 3:32Speaker 3: keep your mind stayed on Him and all like that.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That's a true statement. Got to keep your mind stayed
- 3:38Speaker 3: in that area. I Don't'm not here to tell you
- 3:39Speaker 3: how to live, but you got to keep your mind
- 3:41Speaker 3: stayed in that area of God, of doing the right thing,
- 3:44Speaker 3: caring about people. That's what I took it as. Now,
- 3:46Speaker 3: I could be wrong. I apologize if I'm not saying
- 3:49Speaker 3: it the way you're being taught. I can only do
- 3:51Speaker 3: me now. But after that, you got to go to work.
- 3:55Speaker 3: You got to have some fun. You got to take
- 3:58Speaker 3: care of your business and that's the balance you have
- 4:01Speaker 3: to find so it once you focus on showing up
- 4:06Speaker 3: your relationship with God, you gotta balance this now. Now,
- 4:13Speaker 3: you got to allocate some time I don't care who
- 4:15Speaker 3: you are, for your family. If you're gonna have a family,
- 4:19Speaker 3: you got to allocate some time for them. See, we
- 4:22Speaker 3: can't just.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Marry these women or make these kids and then neglect them.
- 4:28Speaker 3: And fellas, especially if I'm talking to men out here
- 4:31Speaker 3: and ladies you can listen to, but listen. If you
- 4:33Speaker 3: find yourself struggling in your life, man, and you can't
- 4:36Speaker 3: seem to get it together, let's just go over a
- 4:38Speaker 3: couple of things. The first two things, if you find
- 4:42Speaker 3: yourself struggling, you can't seem to pull it together and
- 4:44Speaker 3: reach your goals and get the where you want to go,
- 4:48Speaker 3: Let's just do a check how is your relationship with God?
- 4:53Speaker 3: And then next how much time are you taking to
- 4:57Speaker 3: allocate for your family? Now, your family don't always live
- 5:02Speaker 3: in your house, but if you made them, they yours
- 5:06Speaker 3: and the responsibility to them is never lessen because you
- 5:09Speaker 3: don't stay that no more. Because you and the girl
- 5:12Speaker 3: broke up, you and a woman don't speak that, hey, man,
- 5:15Speaker 3: that don't ever release you from the obligation feel me
- 5:19Speaker 3: what I'm telling you this now because I'm not telling
- 5:22Speaker 3: you something I'm wondering about. I've had to live through
- 5:25Speaker 3: them years. So two things you can start looking at.
- 5:29Speaker 3: If you're not where you want to be, and you ain't,
- 5:31Speaker 3: you ain't really silent. You can't figure out why you
- 5:33Speaker 3: keep spending your wheels. Have you just done a random inventory?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Man?
- 5:36Speaker 3: Have you just checked on your relationship with God? Have
- 5:39Speaker 3: you checked on the time you spending dedicated towards your family,
- 5:43Speaker 3: your children that you created? If them two things is
- 5:46Speaker 3: out of sink, man, that I can tell you right now,
- 5:49Speaker 3: you can go on and get to explaining.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yourself away just like that. Hey man, how come you
- 5:54Speaker 1: ain't where you want to be?
- 5:55Speaker 3: Man?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Comes man, I really ain't. But if you really ain't,
- 5:59Speaker 1: then you really ain't.
- 6:00Speaker 3: The third thing is you got to allocate the necessary
- 6:04Speaker 3: time for your business.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You got to handle your business.
- 6:10Speaker 3: All of this, man, is the way it works, and
- 6:14Speaker 3: the order the order is God first, family second.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Then you got to handle all your business. But as me,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and this is what we do.
- 6:27Speaker 3: If I don't handle my business, I can't take care
- 6:31Speaker 3: of my family. True statement. But if your business is
- 6:34Speaker 3: in front of your family, you out of order. Now,
- 6:38Speaker 3: that's all we talking about now in it. See, that's
- 6:40Speaker 3: all we really say in here now, fellas you know,
- 6:43Speaker 3: you know I mean, I mean, come on, man, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 3: let's let's have a real conversation about being better. You know,
- 6:49Speaker 3: if you have created these children, you got to handle
- 6:51Speaker 3: your business.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You may not like the girl no more.
- 6:54Speaker 3: You and the woman might have broken up, y'all might
- 6:56Speaker 3: go your own way, But what that got to do
- 6:58Speaker 3: with the child though, Man, you got to handle your business.
- 7:01Speaker 3: They got to know who daddy is. That's your obligation. Man,
- 7:04Speaker 3: that God ain't letting you off the hook for that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Try it. Go ahead and try it and think you're
- 7:09Speaker 1: gonna get off the hook with that, cause you're not. Man,
- 7:12Speaker 1: You just not. I'm sorry, man, dog Steve, Why you
- 7:17Speaker 1: coming like that? Because I did it like that. I
- 7:21Speaker 1: did it. Man.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I was over here trying to reshape my life, get
- 7:24Speaker 3: myself up on my feet when I was a homeless
- 7:26Speaker 3: man and trying to come back.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Man, I thought I had to take care of me
- 7:29Speaker 1: first and then so I can neglect it. Care about
- 7:32Speaker 1: them kids, man, I ain't hid at work man.
- 7:34Speaker 3: God kept his knee on my neck for a long
- 7:37Speaker 3: time for that one right there, till I finally learned
- 7:39Speaker 3: the lesson hold up man, put these phone calls in,
- 7:43Speaker 3: Go spend some time, do something. And then it started
- 7:47Speaker 3: turning around for me. You know, I can't be there
- 7:50Speaker 3: all the time because I am out here on the grind,
- 7:52Speaker 3: in the hustle. But at the same time, Man, some
- 7:54Speaker 3: more phone calls, some more letters, some more haw Hi,
- 7:57Speaker 3: he is something, then take care of your business.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Man. You got to work hard to be successful. You know.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I sometimes I don't put that in there. I just
- 8:08Speaker 3: live it, and I expect my sons to emulate that.
- 8:10Speaker 3: But I gotta talk to them all the time. How
- 8:13Speaker 3: hard you got to work to be something. It's an
- 8:16Speaker 3: all out of salt on it.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Man.
- 8:18Speaker 3: If you gotta target in mind, you gotta go. You
- 8:20Speaker 3: gotta wake up every day trying to get there, and
- 8:23Speaker 3: you can't get tired of it because it.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Never ends.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You gonna always be this way. That's how life is
- 8:32Speaker 3: designed and set up. You got to be a hard worker, man.
- 8:36Speaker 3: If you always looking for some time to chill and man,
- 8:39Speaker 3: I wanna go do what I wanna do. You ain't
- 8:41Speaker 3: gonna make it. In order to be successful, you have
- 8:44Speaker 3: to do a series of things that you're uncomfortable doing,
- 8:47Speaker 3: and work is the thing that most of us are
- 8:50Speaker 3: uncomfortable doing.
- 8:51Speaker 1: It's so much easier to chill matter. I wish I
- 8:54Speaker 1: could kick back with a cigar man all the time,
- 8:58Speaker 1: but I can't, Man, I can't because I got to work.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Then the last piece of the balance, pie, balance piece
- 9:11Speaker 3: is you gotta take some time out to enjoy yourself.
- 9:15Speaker 3: But if you ain't where you wanna be, you ain't
- 9:17Speaker 3: got a lot of time to enjoy yourself. Quit thinking, man,
- 9:22Speaker 3: that this balance is even. It's a whole lot of God,
- 9:26Speaker 3: a whole lot of family, a whole lot of business,
- 9:29Speaker 3: and a little bit of chilling.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The chilling can't be equal to the family, the.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Business, all your God. If the chilling is equal to
- 9:38Speaker 3: any of them, you ain't gonna make it. Quit chilling, man,
- 9:42Speaker 3: and go to work like a man. Do what you're
- 9:44Speaker 3: supposed to do. Work on your family, work on your relationship,
- 9:48Speaker 3: work on your God, work on your business. And then
- 9:50Speaker 3: when you chill, you might not chill as law, but
- 9:53Speaker 3: you show gonna chill bigger, You gonna ball bigger baby.
- 9:56Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Another day, another dime, another dollar, another crack at it,
- 10:10Speaker 3: another opening, another blessing, all of that.
- 10:14Speaker 1: What a great day it is.
- 10:16Speaker 3: And you know why, because God, he'd have done it again. Man,
- 10:21Speaker 3: just don't believe it, eat non stop. He just keep
- 10:25Speaker 3: coming with it. Have you noticed that he just keeps
- 10:27Speaker 3: showing up. No matter what happens, he just shows up.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Man, that's the.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Relationship you gotta have with somebody that don't miss, can't miss,
- 10:37Speaker 3: won't miss. That's it, man, Enjoy that today. Put that
- 10:41Speaker 3: in your stocking, put that in your pipe. Smoke that, yeah,
- 10:44Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen. Steve Hawf Marny Show showing Strawberry callin
- 10:48Speaker 3: Frail Mississippi, Monica Junior and the legend that is Nephew tummy.
- 10:52Speaker 1: What's going on with you?
- 10:53Speaker 8: Man?
- 10:53Speaker 9: What's having us on with you?
- 10:56Speaker 2: Man?
- 10:57Speaker 1: Got a question for you?
- 10:58Speaker 8: None?
- 10:59Speaker 9: Huh, I got a question for you?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Un Okay, here we go.
- 11:03Speaker 9: What's the big mistake you've made that you want others
- 11:05Speaker 9: not to repeat?
- 11:09Speaker 1: Don't have that kind of time?
- 11:15Speaker 3: Oh lord, you know the hours I spent with my sons,
- 11:20Speaker 3: trying to give them examples of what not to do. Man,
- 11:26Speaker 3: you know, I got so many things I wish I
- 11:29Speaker 3: could tell them not to repeat. The biggest thing, though,
- 11:32Speaker 3: right now, one of my sons is married. The other
- 11:36Speaker 3: two are not. The biggest thing I'm telling them is
- 11:40Speaker 3: as you and they both have. You know, women, brother,
- 11:45Speaker 3: please be very careful, be very deliberate, and be very
- 11:51Speaker 3: very thoughtful of who you choose to spend the rest.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Of your life with. We're gonna in the world the
- 12:00Speaker 1: words of Newi Mohammed.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Outside of your relationship with God, the person you choose
- 12:06Speaker 3: to spend the rest of your life with is the
- 12:08Speaker 3: most important decision you will ever make in your life.
- 12:12Speaker 3: And that right there is a mistake. I hope they
- 12:15Speaker 3: don't make. I wish now. My son, Jason, he locked in.
- 12:20Speaker 3: He pretty good. He's Jason's married, got these kids. He's
- 12:24Speaker 3: the best dad I've ever seen. I've never seen a
- 12:27Speaker 3: father do it better than him, Not my father, not me, certainly,
- 12:33Speaker 3: not me. I tell him that all the time. Man,
- 12:35Speaker 3: you wave better at that than I was. You wave better.
- 12:39Speaker 3: I admire you, man, I actually admire my son for
- 12:42Speaker 3: the way he's raising his kids. Not a mother too.
- 12:46Speaker 3: They not there yet, And I don't want him to
- 12:49Speaker 3: make that mistake because that's a painful mistake. Man, you
- 12:53Speaker 3: married to the wrong one. That's a pain.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Don't take long to know it. That's the one I
- 12:59Speaker 1: wish that people could get right.
- 13:00Speaker 3: That's the one I went. But you know, I had
- 13:02Speaker 3: to look at my life and all of my kids
- 13:05Speaker 3: come from marriage, all of them. I have no I
- 13:07Speaker 3: had no out of wed lock children. All my children
- 13:10Speaker 3: came from marriage, and all of them, every last one
- 13:14Speaker 3: of them, was a mistake.
- 13:17Speaker 10: Oh my goodness, that comes to you.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm just telling you. Well, I'm just telling you know
- 13:25Speaker 1: none of that. We didn't have planned parent when I
- 13:27Speaker 1: was job. You know, we didn't. I didn't go to
- 13:31Speaker 1: that plast.
- 13:32Speaker 10: It's time to get out of this.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Somebody showed it to me and I went.

- 17:24Speaker 1: Why you hang up on me?
- 17:25Speaker 11: Why are you still calling me? And why are you
- 17:27Speaker 11: yelling at me?
- 17:29Speaker 2: My child?
- 17:29Speaker 11: Didn't bite your child in the back. When I picked
- 17:31Speaker 11: up my child. They didn't say to me your child
- 17:33Speaker 11: business fight in the back. I know my child, my
- 17:36Speaker 11: child every day. Like I said in the first place,
- 17:39Speaker 11: you must be some kind of weekend daddy.
- 17:41Speaker 1: How come I know my child.
- 17:42Speaker 11: I'm with my child every day. How you are I'm

- 17:52Speaker 1: talk about my baby. Now. You asked me to lower
- 17:54Speaker 1: my toe.
- 17:55Speaker 12: I know what I'm gonna do.
- 17:55Speaker 4: I'm I'm gonna hang up one moment.

- 22:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, man fits into the category of them
- 23:03Speaker 1: writing us these these things that they have just normalized. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 1: I mean.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Your buddy borrows five hundred to you to do something
- 23:17Speaker 3: for his side chick. You told him he shouldn't have
- 23:20Speaker 3: a side chick if he can't afford her. It's been
- 23:23Speaker 3: more since he paid her. Should I go to the
- 23:25Speaker 3: side chick to see if I can get her to
- 23:29Speaker 3: pay me back because a friend had Why are you
- 23:34Speaker 3: calling me for advice?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Like, well, you know, I'm trying.
- 23:39Speaker 3: I try to help people in relationships. All this really
- 23:43Speaker 3: is about is the five hundred dollars your buddy bought.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Why ain't really none of your business though, And the
- 23:50Speaker 3: why you ain't got it back, that's where your concern is.
- 23:54Speaker 3: You're worrying about his side.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Chit dog.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Okay, first of all, y'all ain't real friends. Let's just
- 24:01Speaker 3: start there. Okay, you all off into the brook cold.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Let's just start there. And so if that's the case,
- 24:11Speaker 3: going over there and ask.
- 24:12Speaker 7: Her question why you say they're off. He's all off
- 24:17Speaker 7: into the bro code.
- 24:18Speaker 1: He's all off the bro code.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Bro, you can't that ain't what you do what you're
- 24:27Speaker 3: going over there talking to this girl about, because they
- 24:32Speaker 3: ain't really your friend.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Man, Just go on and say that, you know a dude,
- 24:35Speaker 1: you gave five hundred? What's up town? Has the price
- 24:38Speaker 1: of side cheers gone up? Though?
- 24:40Speaker 4: It?
- 24:42Speaker 1: You talk about normal? Yeah? How hey? Man?
- 24:51Speaker 3: He's the best quote I heard about women being gold diggers.
- 24:57Speaker 3: This old man told his young boy. He said, sir,
- 25:01Speaker 3: let me tell y'all something. All women are expensive. What
- 25:06Speaker 3: you got to do is find the one you can afford.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And go do that. Quit talking about she too high browed,
- 25:16Speaker 1: she won't too much, she's not for you.
- 25:19Speaker 3: All women are expensive. I don't care which one you get.
- 25:23Speaker 3: You just got to find the one that you can afford,
- 25:26Speaker 3: and them the ones you go get, you got to
- 25:28Speaker 3: get in categories. Well basically, that's like, if you ain't
- 25:32Speaker 3: got no money, you need to find a chick that
- 25:35Speaker 3: don't want nothing. See that's how that works. Yeah, and
- 25:40Speaker 3: then y'all go somewhere together and don't have a dog
- 25:43Speaker 3: on thing.
- 25:44Speaker 5: So he needs to break up with his side piece
- 25:46Speaker 5: because he can't afford her.
- 25:48Speaker 10: That's what his friend told him, borrow money.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Well, see, yeah, you can't have a side chick, you
- 25:55Speaker 1: can't afford.
- 25:56Speaker 10: That's what's what I'm saying. It's all he was telling him.
- 25:59Speaker 3: No, No, that wasn't all he was saying, Shirley. All
- 26:02Speaker 3: he was saying was he listen to me. He want
- 26:05Speaker 3: to go over there and get paid back by somebody.
- 26:09Speaker 3: And he figured since the side chick ain't got no
- 26:12Speaker 3: problem side chicken, maybe she keeps willing to be a
- 26:15Speaker 3: side side piece.
- 26:17Speaker 7: Oh okay, uh.
- 26:22Speaker 1: See here this is sides is right.
- 26:24Speaker 3: If you go to Popeyes, here's a side rice and

- 27:09Speaker 7: cursed her out, and she said she thought we were cool.
- 27:12Speaker 7: We're not that cool. Now there's drama at work? Did
- 27:15Speaker 7: I overreact?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Okay? She took the workout pants from where they were
- 27:22Speaker 1: what they were in her bag.
- 27:24Speaker 7: They're sharing a hotel room. Too cold, they're sharing a
- 27:27Speaker 7: hotel room. So one woman went into another woman's bag.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's you. You crossed the line body bag, put
- 27:35Speaker 1: on nobody's stuff. You don't do that.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 7: Yeah, so now there's drama at work.
- 27:40Speaker 1: She's supposed to be drama at work. Yeah?
- 27:42Speaker 7: Did she overreact?

- 28:39Speaker 10: H up high though, up high, all right.
- 28:43Speaker 7: Moving on to Mallory and Tuscaloosa, Mallory writes, I fell
- 28:47Speaker 7: on hard times, so I started sleeping with a friend
- 28:50Speaker 7: of mine for extra money. He started catching feelings, and
- 28:54Speaker 7: I had to remind him that it was a business arrangement.
- 28:58Speaker 7: How could he want to be with me after he
- 29:00Speaker 7: basically paid me for sex?
- 29:02Speaker 1: What we're paying, we pay for all of it. But

- 29:08Speaker 4: What?
- 29:09Speaker 1: Where did free come from? M It's all of us both,

- 29:35Speaker 3: You want to talk to me, you gotta zel me
- 29:37Speaker 3: five hundred and then we could talk stuff like that
- 29:39Speaker 3: now and anybody doing that. I don't know what that is,
- 29:42Speaker 3: but that's going around heavy. I've had a lot of conversations.
- 29:45Speaker 3: But we're gonna pay for all of it, all of it.

- 36:55Speaker 10: That's exactly what this was about. It wasn't by jo Tosy,
- 36:58Speaker 10: so you don't know it.
- 36:59Speaker 1: But what the version jojs he had was took all
- 37:03Speaker 1: my money?
- 37:06Speaker 7: All right, guys coming up twenty minutes after the hour,
- 37:10Speaker 7: Well you hear it's Steve's back. He's been on a
- 37:13Speaker 7: world win fishing trip. We got to talk about it.
- 37:15Speaker 7: You know, he has some stories right after this. You're
- 37:19Speaker 7: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:26Speaker 3: What is it that makes the all new Hyundai Palisade
- 37:29Speaker 3: Hybrid and incredible suv? Is it the spacious interior that's
- 37:32Speaker 3: comfy for the whole crew. Maybe it's having up to
- 37:35Speaker 3: six hundred plus miles of range. What if it's all
- 37:39Speaker 3: of that and more?
- 37:40Speaker 1: What is it then?
- 37:41Speaker 6: The all new Hondai Palisade Hybrid so much more than
- 37:45Speaker 6: just another suv. Visit Houndai USA dot com or carl
- 37:49Speaker 6: five six two three one four four six zero three
- 37:52Speaker 6: for more details.
- 37:54Speaker 7: Charlie Kirk, conservative and the founder of the powerful right
- 37:58Speaker 7: wing activist group Earning Point USA, and of course, a
- 38:02Speaker 7: friend of Donald Trump, was fatally shot yesterday Wednesday afternoon
- 38:06Speaker 7: while speaking out a university campus event in Utah. A
- 38:10Speaker 7: witness said Kirk was debating about gun violence and mass shootings.
- 38:14Speaker 7: When he was shot in the neck. Kirk was thirty
- 38:18Speaker 7: one years old, just thirty one years old. Democratic and
- 38:21Speaker 7: Republican leaders were outraged by the killing. Last night, the
- 38:25Speaker 7: President spoke to the country and said, in part quote,
- 38:28Speaker 7: Charlie inspired millions, and tonight all who knew him and
- 38:32Speaker 7: loved him are united in shock and horror. Trump called
- 38:36Speaker 7: for prayers and offered his condolences to Charlie Kirk's family.
- 38:39Speaker 7: He had a wife and two young kids. The President
- 38:42Speaker 7: ordered all flags to be flown at half staff to
- 38:45Speaker 7: honor his friend. The shooter is still at large and
- 38:48Speaker 7: the manhunt is underway. Two people were considered suspects but
- 38:52Speaker 7: were let go. They had a person of interest on
- 38:54Speaker 7: another person that they were both going to go.
- 38:57Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I didn't agree with much of anything
- 39:02Speaker 3: he said, but a person is dead because of what
- 39:08Speaker 3: they said. That right there is crazy that makes no
- 39:13Speaker 3: sense at all, and is the guy, whether you agree
- 39:18Speaker 3: with him or not. He was a father, he was
- 39:21Speaker 3: a husband, had two little kids. This guy was thirty
- 39:24Speaker 3: one years old. You know, he was spot on with
- 39:28Speaker 3: some of the stuff he said, but it was so
- 39:30Speaker 3: much other stuff in there that I found him hard
- 39:34Speaker 3: to agree with. But I never wished or would wish
- 39:38Speaker 3: that on anybody just because we have a difference of opinion.
- 39:42Speaker 3: What I don't like is the way they're using this
- 39:45Speaker 3: for politics. One Republican lady outside in DC. Her first
- 39:52Speaker 3: thing was that Democrats have to own this. This is
- 39:56Speaker 3: on the Democrats. They should own this. This is on you, Democrats.
- 40:02Speaker 3: And I was sitting here, going, how is that? How
- 40:05Speaker 3: is it on Democrats? What I got to do with this?
- 40:11Speaker 3: I'm appalled against it. I'm saddened by it that it
- 40:16Speaker 3: has nothing to do with Wow. Man, they jumped on
- 40:20Speaker 3: that so fast that it's sickened me. But now we
- 40:27Speaker 3: are talking about this again. Nobody gonna mention gun laws.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Nobody gone nobody.
- 40:35Speaker 5: I mean gun laws, gun reformed. There was a school
- 40:39Speaker 5: shooting in Colorado yesterday. The Minnesota Democratic Uh, there was shooting.
- 40:44Speaker 5: The Minnesota politicians were killed. It has to be some
- 40:48Speaker 5: kind of gun reform.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Violence.
- 40:52Speaker 3: We live in a sick country is the problem that
- 40:55Speaker 3: we're having, and we don't want to address the root problem.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Ah brough the sickness in America.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Yeah, And if you don't address the root problem, we
- 41:06Speaker 3: can't keep having it. But condolences to his family, his wife.
- 41:09Speaker 1: The Kirch family's and all of that.
- 41:13Speaker 7: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 41:16Speaker 7: Show right after this.
- 41:18Speaker 10: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:24Speaker 7: Well, guys, today is nine to eleven, of course, and
- 41:28Speaker 7: twenty four years ago there were four terrorist attacks in
- 41:31Speaker 7: New York and d C. And a field in Pennsylvania
- 41:35Speaker 7: that Americans will never forget. However, did you know this?
- 41:40Speaker 7: There was a black woman who was the very last
- 41:42Speaker 7: person to be rescued at the Twin Towers. No one
- 41:46Speaker 7: knew this. Janelle Gusman McMillan was working on the sixty
- 41:51Speaker 7: fourth floor of Tower one in the World Trade Center
- 41:54Speaker 7: when the first plane struck the North tower, and then
- 41:57Speaker 7: a second plane struck the second tower. Janelle took the
- 42:00Speaker 7: stairs when the towers collapsed, and she was buried alive
- 42:05Speaker 7: for more than a day before the first responders arrived.
- 42:09Speaker 7: Her right leg was crushed and her face was burned.
- 42:13Speaker 7: She was hospitalized for over a month, and doctors at
- 42:17Speaker 7: one point considered amputating her leg, but a fourth surgery
- 42:22Speaker 7: saved it. According to People magazine, Goozman McMillan said she
- 42:27Speaker 7: was in so much pain. She just prayed and then
- 42:30Speaker 7: she heard a rescuer call out to her and he
- 42:33Speaker 7: saved her life. While her nightmares about nine to eleven
- 42:37Speaker 7: have long ceased, there is one lingering psychological effect. She
- 42:42Speaker 7: has regrets of losing her best friend and her coworkers.
- 42:46Speaker 7: And that's according to the doctor, she has that kind
- 42:50Speaker 7: of like survivor's remorse, and she's asking why did my
- 42:53Speaker 7: coworkers die and I survived. She has a book called
- 42:57Speaker 7: Angel in the Rubble. It is out now and we
- 43:01Speaker 7: do want to say, of course again, thank you to
- 43:04Speaker 7: all the heroes of nine to eleven. We will never
- 43:06Speaker 7: ever forget that day. Steve, did you know about this?
- 43:11Speaker 7: And the book is called again Angel in the Rubble? Yeah,
- 43:15Speaker 7: last person, the last person.
- 43:18Speaker 1: That's amazing, man. You never know. You just never know. Yeah, yeah,
- 43:22Speaker 1: you never you know and and and you know, and
- 43:24Speaker 1: and you think.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Your story rough well, you know, you think you went
- 43:28Speaker 3: through something, and you hear about somebody laying under this
- 43:31Speaker 3: rubble for a day and a half, lead crush burns.
- 43:36Speaker 1: You know, in so much lane. You know, Yeah, you
- 43:40Speaker 1: have no idea if that somebody gonna find.
- 43:43Speaker 7: You nothing, yeah, or if you're gonna live or die?
- 43:45Speaker 1: She said, what call her? Oh, I was just tell
- 43:48Speaker 1: you guys, I add to it.
- 43:49Speaker 5: I was reading what online when she said she said,
- 43:52Speaker 5: at the time, it was so much dust and so
- 43:55Speaker 5: much uh in her mouth and her throat she could
- 43:58Speaker 5: barely you know, all out. So she was so tired
- 44:02Speaker 5: and exhausted from so much pain. So she just kept praying.
- 44:06Speaker 5: And then to hear this rescuer, first responder called out
- 44:10Speaker 5: to her and rescue her, because you know, she thought
- 44:13Speaker 5: she was going to die. She said that, Yeah, yeah,
- 44:16Speaker 5: she thought she was going to die, but she just
- 44:18Speaker 5: kept praying. Look at God. It's like she got a
- 44:20Speaker 5: second chance, and she did. She got a second chance
- 44:23Speaker 5: at life. So I had no idea about this woman.
- 44:27Speaker 5: I never heard anything about that. So Tommy, Tommy brought
- 44:30Speaker 5: it to our attention yesterday. He read about it as well.
- 44:34Speaker 7: So that was good for you, that your nephew. Yeah,
- 44:39Speaker 7: God bless you.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you like really like, you know, on the radio,
- 44:45Speaker 1: he's stupid, but in real life he's not.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Today, Yeah, I know that's kind of hard for y'all
- 44:55Speaker 3: to work through, but you know, process it like that,
- 45:00Speaker 3: you know, you know, he says on the radio he's stupid,
- 45:09Speaker 3: But in real life, he hain't but four hours of dato.
- 45:17Speaker 1: It's exhausted. You don't even know how he made it.
- 45:21Speaker 1: He heard his money.
- 45:22Speaker 13: Doesn't be a good husband and a good daddy.
- 45:25Speaker 1: That's what I bet. It's trying to.
- 45:28Speaker 7: The other side to this was there was a movie
- 45:31Speaker 7: that came out, I think it was released back in
- 45:32Speaker 7: two thousand and six. Uh, the World Trade Center movie
- 45:36Speaker 7: Her Story. Janelle's story was not included, so a lot
- 45:40Speaker 7: of people were upset, uh that her story wasn't.
- 45:43Speaker 10: Included in all of that.
- 45:46Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, she needs a move, she deserves. Yeah, she
- 45:48Speaker 7: she needs her separate movie. Maybe they'll make one from
- 45:51Speaker 7: the movie. Yeah, that's out Angel and the.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:58Speaker 10: Absolutely, We're all never forget that day, don't.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Yeah, prayer where everybody knows where they were. Everybody knows
- 46:06Speaker 1: where they were.
- 46:07Speaker 10: Oh yeah, we were at work.
- 46:08Speaker 7: Yeah all right, coming up, we'll have more of the
- 46:12Speaker 7: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 46:15Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:22Speaker 7: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 46:24Speaker 7: four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for today, and
- 46:27Speaker 7: the subject is get this guys, A little pooh ran
- 46:32Speaker 7: off my boo. Okay, yeah, yeah.

- 56:46Speaker 12: It's time for a strawberry letter my good friend Shuddy Strawberry.
- 56:49Speaker 7: That's right, thank you, my good friend Junior. Subject to
- 56:52Speaker 7: little poem?
- 56:55Speaker 1: What he is?
- 56:59Speaker 11: What is that?
- 57:01Speaker 1: Sure? Oh yeah, all right?
- 57:05Speaker 7: Subject a loo pooh, ran off my boo. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 57:09Speaker 7: I'm a thirty three year old single female and I
- 57:12Speaker 7: was dating a thirty five year old man that ghosted me.
- 57:15Speaker 7: We met and it was like no one else existed
- 57:19Speaker 7: in our lives. We went on a trip two weeks
- 57:21Speaker 7: after we started dating, and he spoiled me and I
- 57:25Speaker 7: spoiled him. He was at my house or I was
- 57:27Speaker 7: at his house every night. He was the best lover,
- 57:31Speaker 7: and that deepened our connections. This went on for four
- 57:35Speaker 7: months and I was thinking he's the one. Then I
- 57:38Speaker 7: got food poisoning and had to be hospitalized for two days.
- 57:43Speaker 7: I had been going to the bathroom and throwing up
- 57:45Speaker 7: before I drove myself to the hospital. My man rushed
- 57:49Speaker 7: to the hospital to see me, and he told me
- 57:52Speaker 7: he'd go to my house to get a few toiletries
- 57:54Speaker 7: and get a change of clothes for me. He came
- 57:57Speaker 7: back to the hospital with a small bag for me,
- 58:00Speaker 7: and then he ghosted me. I called and called and
- 58:03Speaker 7: started worrying that something happened to him. I saw that
- 58:08Speaker 7: he posted a picture on Instagram, and that was odd
- 58:11Speaker 7: to me. Then he blocked my number, and he blocked
- 58:14Speaker 7: me on IG. So I wanted some answers. I went
- 58:18Speaker 7: by his job and waited for him to come out
- 58:21Speaker 7: for lunch. He walked past me and said he's glad
- 58:24Speaker 7: I was better, and he dismissed me just like that.
- 58:28Speaker 7: I had met one of his coworkers before, so I
- 58:31Speaker 7: messaged him on ig to see if he knew what
- 58:34Speaker 7: was up with my boyfriend. He responded right away and
- 58:38Speaker 7: said that my boyfriend couldn't handle how messy my house
- 58:42Speaker 7: was and the way I left the bathroom was not
- 58:45Speaker 7: ladylike at all. I told his coworker that I was
- 58:49Speaker 7: very sick and I did not think about cleaning up
- 58:51Speaker 7: the toilet before I went to the hospital. He said,
- 58:55Speaker 7: a nasty woman is a turn off. How can my
- 58:58Speaker 7: boyfriend be so shallow? Is that a son that he
- 59:01Speaker 7: is not the man for me? Or should I keep
- 59:02Speaker 7: trying to reconnect with him? No, don't try to keep
- 59:07Speaker 7: connecting with him. Don't try to reconnect with him. It's
- 59:11Speaker 7: over at this point, it's over. He came and saw
- 59:14Speaker 7: something he didn't need to see, and that's it. It's done.
- 59:18Speaker 7: I mean, you know, the question is is your house
- 59:22Speaker 7: normally a mess? And I'm going to say no, because
- 59:24Speaker 7: you already said in the letter you guys spent time
- 59:27Speaker 7: over each other's house every night, so obviously it was clean.
- 59:30Speaker 7: Then I mean, if he doesn't understand that you were
- 59:34Speaker 7: very sick and you did the best you could do
- 59:37Speaker 7: before driving yourself to the hospital, then he No, he's
- 59:41Speaker 7: not the one for you. I don't know what kind
- 59:43Speaker 7: of condition you left the house in. It sounds like
- 59:46Speaker 7: you didn't flush and it was just a mess in there.
- 59:49Speaker 7: But whatever you left in there, it was too much
- 59:51Speaker 7: for his week's stomach to handle. So you got to
- 59:54Speaker 7: leave him alone. Please leave him alone. I mean his coworkers.
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: His coworker was right. Men don't like nasty women, just
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: like women don't like nasty men. And the point is
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: you're not a nasty woman, or he wouldn't have been
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: with you for four whole months. The problem is he
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: can't unsee that bathroom, whatever was going on in there.
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: He cannot unsee that you were very, very sick. And
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: I don't know what he doesn't get about that. Food
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: poisoning is serious business. You can't even control what's going
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: on with your body and what's coming in and going out.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: You know, you can't control that. Your case sounds like
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: it was very, very severe. It landed you in the hospital.
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: So all I got to say, if he doesn't understand that,
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: let him go. He is shallow and it sounds like
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: he's moved on anyway, So whatever with him. By Steve
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: Wow that bathroom.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: Though, I want to share something with this young lady
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: in this letter, just thirty three year old as dating
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: is thirty five year old. First of all, he's looking
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: for something. He's at that age where he trying to
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: work through it and he looking at something. When y'all met,
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: you all were inseparable. It's like the only two existed
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: in this world. We're on trips. Two weeks after you
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: started dating, he spoiled me and.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Y'all spoiled him.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: He was at my house or I was at his
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: house every night. He was the best lover, and that
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: deepened our connection. This went on for foremost, and I
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: was thinking, he's the one. Here we go, here we go, keyword.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: I was thinking, he's the one. He did not tell
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: you you were the one. Ain't nobody in his letter
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: said we fell deeply in love. Ain't nobody talking about
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: a commitment. I will tell you for a fact, it
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: wasn't that deep for him yet, because he was still
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: trying to assess everything. I know, you all over each
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: other's house every night. But the thing of it is,
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: you knew when he was coming, and he knew when
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: he was coming, so you had time to make your
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: place presentable, as did he.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: But then it came along.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Everything was going good, and you got food poisoning and
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: had to be hospitalized for two days. That's a severe case.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: I'd been going to the bathroom and throwing up before
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: I drove myself to the hospital. My man rushed to
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: the hospital to see me and told me he go
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: to my house, pick up a few taller trees, and
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: change the.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Clothes for me.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: When he came back to the hospital with a small bag.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: He ghosted me.
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: Hold on right there.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: In fact, Yeah, what the hell was in that bathroom?
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I knew it.
- 1:02:57Speaker 13: All right.
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: Coming up in twenty three minutes after the hour, we'll

- 1:03:43Speaker 7: Bring the Boom X Boom All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is a little
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: pooh ran off my boo.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't have all the cast members here to
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: hit us thing that I've just said to share with you.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: Thirty three year old woman taking this thirty five year
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: old man that goes to me. They met, there was
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: nobody else existed in their lives. That went on trip.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Two weeks later they dated. They was either one house
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: or the other house.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Every time.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: He was the best lover, that deep in the connection.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: This went on for four months. She's saying, I was
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: thinking he's the one, ladies. A lot of times, I
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: was thinking he's the one, and there's nothing wrong with
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: you thinking that. But he didn't share that with you.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: I don't think it was that deep for him yet.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: I think he was stealing the decision making process. Then
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: I got food poison and had to go to the
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: hospital for two days. That's some strong food poison in
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: that girl. You was going through it. I'd been going
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: to the bathroom and throwing up before I drove myself
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: to the hospital.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Raided since to go ahead.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Gun My man rushed to the hospital to see me
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: and told me he go to my house and get
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: a few taller.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Tries and change your clothes from me.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I came back to the hospital with a small bag
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: and then he gohoested.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I called and called and called.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: And I started wearing that something had happened. And then
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: I saw that he posted a picture on Instagram and
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: it was kind of odd to me, and then he
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: blocked me on IG. So I wanted some answers, so
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: she decided to go to his job and wait for
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: him to come out for lunch. He walked right past me.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: He said, I'm glad I was better, and he dismissed
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: me just like that. I had met one of the coworkers.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: So I messaged him on ig to see if he
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: knew what was up with my boy We're in the
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: social media world, you could do that. He responded right away,
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: and he said that my boyfriend could not handle how
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: messy my house was and the way I left the
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: bathroom was not lady like at all. I told his
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: co working that I was very sick and I didn't
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: think about cleaning up the tarlet before I went to
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: the hospital. He said, a nasty woman is a turn off.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: How can my boyfriend be so shall? It's just a
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: sign that he's not the man for me. Should I
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: keep trying to be connected? Well, I don't know if
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: he's the man for you, Shirley says not. So I'm
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: kind of leaning towards Shirley's deparment that if he ghost
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: that you called it this, this is that.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: So I gotta tell you something.
- 1:06:34Speaker 13: Come on, something in my bathroom.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: That he ran into. Girl, That boy ran in that house,
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: you know, and tried to bring you some all the
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: trees and you probably didn't just throw up in the ground.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Throw up might have happened somewhere else. I don't know
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: if you've made it all the way to the bathroom.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: I'm let me tell you something. A lot of essays
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: what's going on that he ran into that he wouldn't.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Suppose? Now you say, can he beat his shallow? Shallow
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: starts with.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: An S too, And everything he ran into I started
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: with an.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: S half of one.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: He wasn't supposed to see none of it.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: That's what starts, okay.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: And the reason he ain't fooling with you is because
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: of something.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: He has seen.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Now, let's talk about what the hell was in his
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: groundroom were no, let's go with another S word. It
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: had to be strong in them. I'm talking about some
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: time he opened the door, it was just strong man
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: god jog. What tell go what died in him? And
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: then when he realized what was strong, it was safe
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: in in and he tried to look and now he
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: opened the door and ah, all hell broke losing. Maybe
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: you don't even know how to be sick. Sit God,
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: feel when you stick. Don't be up moving around because
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: now splashing and the other s coming to break.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Now it's smeary, no you, I'm.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: Just telling you what he saw in his bathroot y'alls
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: in the bed. He can't look at her no more.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: She made him sick.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: I'm sick.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it was real, shugle honeed ice, t p Why
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: here we know that it was sugar hunded ice? Why
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: get pasty every time he look at you?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: And trumper man?
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: When I don't come over here?
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: This what's going on? I can't do this?
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: And I think he's gone. But surely said it best.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: He can't get that bathroom out of his head.
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: Bathroom that's another s all right, another s all right right.

- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Should have had that same sinking feeling, because you know,

- 1:12:56Speaker 6: it ain't gonna he did.
- 1:12:58Speaker 9: We put up six points, six nine, whatever it was,
- 1:13:05Speaker 9: it was a single dick.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Well, well, when you laying on your couch from hurt
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: that that nine, that nine do look like a sick
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: It did?
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Map Why do we have all this hype?
- 1:13:17Speaker 12: Why did they build us up like this to let
- 1:13:19Speaker 12: us down for nine points?
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: That's it's a sign of things to come.
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: See what happens in your Week one prepareds you for
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: what's called We lost to the Bingos by one point
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: and was winning and all slackle through an interception with
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: a minute party left.
- 1:13:40Speaker 10: I see winning.
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: All right, guys, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: of the hour, a young woman needs some advice from
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: social media. She says, I want to hold out for
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: the right job. We'll get into it, talk about it
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning.
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: You know, all right, Steve, This is from DK on
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: Steve Harvey FM. DK says, I just lost my job,
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: but I'm not upset because it wasn't what I wanted
- 1:14:12Speaker 7: to do and there was no future in it. My parents, though,
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: are freaking out. They want me to beg for the
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: job back or get the first job I can, but
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: I'd rather tap into my savings and take some time
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: to land a gig that actually gets me excited. I
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: know that I only have this luxury because they're still
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: letting me live at home, but I feel like it's
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: worth investing now to build a life I really want.
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: How do I get my old school parents to see
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: things my way?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Okay? Is this a guy?
- 1:14:44Speaker 10: It just says DK, So I don't.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: Well, either way, you're not going to get your old
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: school parents to see it your way. They dug in,
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: They dug in. The fact that you lost your job
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: is not.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: The end of the world. It could be a blessing
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: because it can to something great.
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: I'd say all the time. When the door closes in
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: your face, don't stand there beating on the door. Walk
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: up the hall all that going back to beg for
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: your job. No, man, just walk up the hall. It's
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: some modos. I'm heading up the hallway right now. Right now,
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: I'm going up the hallway. And so you have to
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: look at it like that. Now, I don't know how
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: you tell them that, you go Why do you have
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: to explain it to them like that. If you're going
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: to dip into your savings to wait until you pursue
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: something that you really want to do, then't do that.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: But stop telling them that.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: Just do it because you're gonna be looking for that
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: thing that you really want to do, the thing that
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: you enjoy doing. And this could be a chance to
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: reset your life. You know, you didn't lose nothing. You
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: didn't like the job. It's okay, yeah, So just go
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: on and focus on getting what you want to do
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: and hopefully it's tied to your gift and then you'll
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: have a better life. It's better to have a career
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: than a job. Okay, My career is something you want
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: to do. Like everybody on this show, we have radio careers.
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: You know, it's ain't a job. If you want a job,
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: you can go do something else.
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: Yeah, all right, thanks, great advice. All right, Steve, this
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: is from bj. BJ says my ex from two years
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: ago decided to DM my current girlfriend to tell her
- 1:16:23Speaker 7: that I'm cheating on her. For the record, I'm not
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: cheating on my girlfriend. I'm being forced to defend myself
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: against something that never existed. The problem is we're now
- 1:16:33Speaker 7: two weeks into this mess, and my girlfriend says it's
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: a problem if I'm not willing to discuss this. In
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: my mind, I have discussed it and I'm done with it.
- 1:16:43Speaker 7: What can I do?
- 1:16:44Speaker 10: She keeps tripping.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Well, you know your girlfriend is allowing your ex to
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: have input in you all's relationship. That's not a smart
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: thing on her part.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: I think your girlfriend is going to have to realize
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: why is she in this? What is her purpose? All?
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: She trying to see misery love company so she won't see.
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: First of all, she thinks, I'm telling you right now,
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: the ex girlfriend thinks that you, ma'am, are the that
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: that this dude's current girlfriend is the reason she ain't
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: the girlfriend no more so, now she gonna make her
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: feel the same thing.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: She she gonna blame her. Your girlfriend has to go.
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: Look, I mean, bro, look, you just have to prove it,
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: you know. And but your girl gonna have to she
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: gonna have to bag up a little bit and understand
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: who the messenger is.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you always remember whoever brings you bad news. Focus
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: on the person that brought it to you, because what
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: was their reasoning for bringing it to you? Always look
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: at that, Okay, fire, Yeah, I had a girl tell
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: on me one time, you know, four d MS was out.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: She just said, hey, girl, she.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Saw her, she saw your current girl. Yeah, and we
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: saw her somewhere.
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: He ain't right. I wasn't right for you. Oh right, right.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: You know, you just really have to consider the source
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: whenever you get some information.
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: Man, I just did a podcast, the Pivot Podcast, and
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: I really did something smart on that podcast. And so
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: but they bought up a rumor of some internet messine.
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: I just had to squash it.
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: Okay, all right, all right, Steve, We'll have more of

- 1:25:23Speaker 7: Welcome back, Steve. You know we missed you. Glad you
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: had a great time fishing and such.
- 1:25:30Speaker 10: What you got for us to close us out, well,
- 1:25:33Speaker 10: you know, listen and.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: Just as a reminder to everybody who is on the journey,
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: who is trying to accomplish their dreams, goals and aspirations,
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: I want to fully remind you of something and I
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: want you to just understand that that is a part
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: of it. Prepare yourself to be uncomfortable, just make ready,
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: because getting what you want out of life, expecting to
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: accomplish what you want to accomplish in life. It's hard.
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: It's hard, and it is uncomfortable. So just prepare yourself
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: to be uncomfortable. I've known this about my life. Everything
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: I've ever wanted in my life was on the other
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: side of uncomfortable, and you got to go through it
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: to get to it. You have got to go through
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: it to get to it. Ain't nothing free out here, y'all.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: You already know.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: It ain't no free lunch. And anytime you see the
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: word free, understand something. Now, there's gonna be some type
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: of cost factor. I remember back in the day when
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: they had free food in the hood. They had free
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: peanut butter, and they had free eggs, free milk, and
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: free cheese. Do you know how long that line was.
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: Do you know how much time you had to spend
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: in the coal standing in that line to get them
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: free eggs, that free peanut butter, that free milk, and
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: then free and that free cheese. So it wasn't free
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: because it cost you. Your time. Time is everything, man.
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: Time is of the essence. The two most valuable things
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: in your life is your health and your time, because
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: if you out of either one of those, you're in
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: a world of trouble, and so you know, you know,
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: just listen, prepare yourself to be ready for it to
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: be challenging and difficult.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: I have mastered the art of being uncomfortable. Now.
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: I don't like it, but I know it's part of
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: the process. I was talking to a old friend of
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: mine one day and we were sitting there talking about
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: the good old days, and we was laughing about a
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: bunch of stuff. And my boy said to me, hey all,
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: why you always take the hard road?
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: He said, Man, I've noticed that about you man, ever
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: since we was in college. Why you always take the
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: hard road? Why you don't ever take the easy road?
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: I say, hey, man, let me ask you something. What
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: makes you think I see two roads? Because I don't.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: I just see that away right there. I see that
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: a way right there, that's the way, he said.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: But it's always the hard way. Well, see, it ain't
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: nothing on the easy road.
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: First of all, it's crowded a lot of people on
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: the easy road, and that easy road don't usually lead
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: to nothing.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: Ain't no reward on it.
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: Ricky Minor, the great band director, he had a book
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: out with the best title I've ever heard.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: He said, ain't no traffic on the extra mile. If
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: you are willing to go the extra mile, ain't no
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: traffic wide open. You can get out there and do
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: doughnuts in your car. You can speed they ain't got
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: no speed traps. Ain't nobody out there. You can drive
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: in whatever lane you want to. I have just never
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: picked the easy road. I don't see it. I don't
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: even see the easy road.
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: I see the hard road only because I know in
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: order to get to it, I'm gonna have to go
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: through it. That everything I've ever wanted in my life
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: has been on the other side of comfortable. Quit trying
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: to pick the easy road. Quick money, quick man, You
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: know what. Quick money gonna get you in some trouble.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: That's what it's gonna do. Fast money.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Keep on it. Don't work that. Ain't had this work, man,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: It's not set up that way.
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: I'm not saying you can never hit something and it
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: makes you some money quickly. Well, but let me see
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: you do it again. See you can't look up and
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: hit it one time and expect that to be the process.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: Pardon. You just can't keep lucking up.
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: Now you're gonna have to develop a discipline and a
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: skill set at something so that your success can be repetitive.
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: And if you want to be repetitive, you got to
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: get disciplined, and you got to be willing to go
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: through it to get to it.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: It's hard. You have got to be willing to be uncomfortable.
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: But it's okay. When you get through it and you
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: get to it and you finally get it, it's going
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: to be worth it.
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: But then, guess what you got to put that vests
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: on in that helmet and get ready to get uncomfortable
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: again because you gonna want some more, and you have
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: to want more. Don't sit up in your life and
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: get content. Now. I didn't say don't get up in
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: your life and don't become grateful. I said don't get
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: in your life and get content, because if you try
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: to rest on your laurels and just and just sit
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: on what you have, you ain't gonna have it long.
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: The Bible says a man without a dream or vision
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: shall perish. You got to keep dreaming. You got to
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: keep having visions. Don't sit up there and put no
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: timetable on God and put no limits on God. Well,
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: I don't retired, ain't nothing for me to do.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: No more.
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it is something for you to do some more.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: You just quit wanting more. You thought because you got
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: the retirement that was it. Now man, it's some more
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: to it. You're still living. You gotta still be dreaming,
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: got still have visions. Prepare yourself to be uncomfortable, everybody,
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: because everything you want is on the other side of uncomfortable.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Y'all.
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: Have y'allself a great day to day, And the most
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: important thing I can leave you with is don't forget
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: to talk to God today.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: He would absolutely love to hear from you.
