- 1:36Speaker 1: Kimmy Scott and Maurice Scott. They are part of OWNS
- 1:39Speaker 1: Real Drama Weekend. Kimmy Scott is an entrepreneur, real estate agent,
- 1:43Speaker 1: a registered nurse by trade who received both our undergraduate
- 1:46Speaker 1: and graduate degrees from the University of Alabama in halls Field.
- 1:49Speaker 1: She's also a member of Delta Sigmadatum and as a
- 1:52Speaker 1: page for Cooking. Maurice Scott is a consumer law attorney,
- 1:57Speaker 1: real estate investor, entrepreneur. He has the law for United Legal.
- 2:01Speaker 1: He's the owner of Credit one U s A. He's
- 2:03Speaker 1: the older brother of mar Saul Scott, who I've had
- 2:05Speaker 1: on the short as well as T Shirt, who has
- 2:07Speaker 1: also stars on the short. As you know, Kim and
- 2:09Speaker 1: Maurice got married the first season of the show, and still,
- 2:12Speaker 1: as I said that Riding the Bio, have not went
- 2:15Speaker 1: on a honeymoon. We'll find out about that. They're coming
- 2:17Speaker 1: on the show to talk about the new season of Owns,
- 2:20Speaker 1: Love and Marriage Huntsville, which sometimes can be a mess,
- 2:23Speaker 1: but we're talked about entrepreneurship, which is always filled with drama.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Please work with the money making conversation. Kimmy Scott and
- 2:29Speaker 1: Maury Scotty, thank you for coming on the show. First
- 2:36Speaker 1: for all, let's get let's do a little history on
- 2:38Speaker 1: the show. You know, when the show was launched. Um,
- 2:40Speaker 1: how did you guys get invited to do the show?
- 2:43Speaker 1: And why did you accept to do the show? You
- 2:45Speaker 1: can each individually respond how you want to. I just
- 2:48Speaker 1: want to just give a response to such a stage
- 2:50Speaker 1: for the audience as to who I'm interviewing. Well, we uh,
- 2:56Speaker 1: we got introduced to the show by a great idea
- 2:58Speaker 1: from Melody Hope. Okay, um, we're all you know, we're
- 3:02Speaker 1: all friends and we're sitting around and then Mail comes
- 3:05Speaker 1: up with this, you know, genius idea of hey, let's
- 3:08Speaker 1: do a reality show. So we uh, we were invited
- 3:12Speaker 1: to do a couple of different pilots and things that
- 3:14Speaker 1: we were filming for a little while and then she
- 3:16Speaker 1: got Ricarlos and the magic happened. Kimmy, that's somebody say
- 3:21Speaker 1: it's magic, but when you put your personal life out
- 3:23Speaker 1: there and it's getting the social media, and sometimes it
- 3:27Speaker 1: can be unmagical. Talk about some of the the unmagical
- 3:31Speaker 1: things that have happened because he said, you know, because
- 3:33Speaker 1: Marie said was brilliant. Now, I when I watched the show,
- 3:37Speaker 1: and like I always say, you have one of the
- 3:38Speaker 1: most animated faces I know on television. Okay, you know
- 3:42Speaker 1: you're one of the people. You can you tell it
- 3:44Speaker 1: all over your faith. You can just as they say,
- 3:45Speaker 1: you can just be smiling, but I can look in
- 3:47Speaker 1: your eyes and say, well, she's kind of mad at
- 3:49Speaker 1: this situation. So talk about your experience and then being
- 3:52Speaker 1: allowed to, uh, you know, share your your personal life
- 3:56Speaker 1: as where as your professional life, and then people can
- 3:58Speaker 1: judge you because ed thing doesn't always tell the true story. Correct. Correct,
- 4:05Speaker 1: very much so correct um he He loosely uses the
- 4:10Speaker 1: term magic happen because everything you just said literally is
- 4:16Speaker 1: a dent correct, And from time to time you do
- 4:20Speaker 1: kind of revisit your choice to actually be one reality.
- 4:25Speaker 1: At the moment, I believe that both of us feel
- 4:27Speaker 1: like the pros outweigh the funds um and the biggest
- 4:32Speaker 1: kind of which is people voicing their opinion about your
- 4:37Speaker 1: edited forty two minute life. So that's always a tough part,
- 4:43Speaker 1: we know. And so when I hear this two things
- 4:46Speaker 1: you said Maurice and Kim and you said it was
- 4:49Speaker 1: a great idea. Now, whenever I look at reality show,
- 4:51Speaker 1: especially shows like this, I see a business opportunity because
- 4:55Speaker 1: if you have a business, your entrepreneurs like you all,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you can promote it. You know, you can build your
- 5:00Speaker 1: brand and it can lead to sex stories. It may
- 5:03Speaker 1: not happen if you didn't have this platform. With that
- 5:05Speaker 1: being said, Maurice, since you started with the weird, magic
- 5:08Speaker 1: and brilliant, let's talk about how has that helped your
- 5:11Speaker 1: business Because I mentioned earlier you have a law firm
- 5:14Speaker 1: called United Legal and you're also the owner of Credit
- 5:16Speaker 1: one USA. Well, it's helped me significantly reach a broader audience.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Like we had clients all across the nation that we're
- 5:26Speaker 1: helping as far as UM get their finances in order
- 5:29Speaker 1: and actually participating in the market, whether it's the Halloween market,
- 5:34Speaker 1: the business market. UM, everything boiled down to credit. So
- 5:38Speaker 1: getting that consumer finance and then moving on to consumer law,
- 5:44Speaker 1: that's a whole different area and a lot of consumers
- 5:46Speaker 1: have no idea about the different laws that are in
- 5:49Speaker 1: place that protect them, uh, make sure that they're able
- 5:52Speaker 1: to keep all the money that they're earning. And then uh,
- 5:55Speaker 1: there's some other things that we're working on as well.
- 5:57Speaker 1: But overall, as far as the business UH aspects concerned,
- 6:01Speaker 1: I mean marketing. You know, it's really interesting that. Okay, Keimmy,
- 6:05Speaker 1: you're a real estate agent and then more as your
- 6:08Speaker 1: real estate investor, and we look at the housing market
- 6:11Speaker 1: and it is like fire everywhere. You know. My younger
- 6:15Speaker 1: brother he sold this house in d C. And I say,
- 6:18Speaker 1: within a week it was solds literally a week. My
- 6:21Speaker 1: wife put her mom's house on in Houston, Texas, and
- 6:25Speaker 1: they had like fifteen offer. In fact fact, it was
- 6:27Speaker 1: bidded up above the the the value that they had
- 6:31Speaker 1: asked for at the time. What is driving nationwide, not
- 6:35Speaker 1: just in certain pockets of the country. What is driving
- 6:38Speaker 1: this high momentum for home home ownership? UM? I personally
- 6:45Speaker 1: believe that it's uh, it's a false scarcity. UM. Right now,
- 6:50Speaker 1: we have this moratorium on foreclosures and that right there
- 6:54Speaker 1: is pushing housing values up. And I think that right
- 6:59Speaker 1: now we're experiencing a bubble of such that, Um, smart
- 7:04Speaker 1: people would save money and get prepared because we've seen
- 7:08Speaker 1: this before. Now, Kimmy, you you're the agent. You're out there,
- 7:13Speaker 1: I want to say, when you said the agent, you're
- 7:14Speaker 1: out there doing the sales. You're out there if I'm
- 7:17Speaker 1: a mistaken out there taking people in and suggesting these
- 7:20Speaker 1: home prices. And so you've seen the shift. I see
- 7:23Speaker 1: you more. And Maurice as an investor, so you see
- 7:25Speaker 1: the options from a different perspective, but you see the
- 7:27Speaker 1: perspective from an actual customer perspective, correct, Kimmy, all right, um,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and from I agree with what Marie said as well. UM,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't know if it's all of false security of availability,
- 7:44Speaker 1: but at the moment, it's just the seller's market and
- 7:47Speaker 1: there's literally more buyers in the market than there are
- 7:51Speaker 1: homes to purchase. And the matorium, as he mentioned, just
- 7:55Speaker 1: got lifted out of the nationwide. Different states have lifted.
- 7:58Speaker 1: There's at different times, ms um, but the end of
- 8:01Speaker 1: the month was that particular time, and if people don't
- 8:04Speaker 1: know what that is, that was where there was a
- 8:07Speaker 1: law passed that you couldn't put people out of their
- 8:10Speaker 1: homes if they didn't keep up with their payments based
- 8:13Speaker 1: on the pandemic and having had issues financially with the pandemic. Um.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And there are millions of people who had trouble and
- 8:24Speaker 1: this was helpful to them. So now that that has
- 8:27Speaker 1: been taken away, we're hoping that it will balance out
- 8:32Speaker 1: the availability of homes again, um, just a little bit
- 8:35Speaker 1: so that it kind of comes down. But right now
- 8:38Speaker 1: it's simply not enough properties for the amount of people
- 8:41Speaker 1: that want to purchase them. And the industry to industry
- 8:44Speaker 1: is are great, um. And so all of that kind
- 8:46Speaker 1: of plays a role in people wanting to sell their
- 8:50Speaker 1: home because they want the biggest bank for the book.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Just like you mentioned on your mom's home, the majority
- 8:56Speaker 1: of these homes are selling for over asking price. There's
- 9:00Speaker 1: a fair amount that is selling for over market value.
- 9:05Speaker 1: So you know, it's just it's just the supplying demand
- 9:10Speaker 1: at the moment, it's just supplying demand. Well, I would listen, listen, listen,
- 9:14Speaker 1: because I'm talking to a couple of real estate people.
- 9:15Speaker 1: That's why I'm really excited about this. You kind of
- 9:18Speaker 1: experts to me because my arties needs to hear this
- 9:20Speaker 1: because we've seen this before. You know, when the halsy
- 9:23Speaker 1: market came out there and it was extending loans and
- 9:26Speaker 1: and the bubble burst and it really collapsed this economy,
- 9:29Speaker 1: Mr investor, Uh, how do you see that? Um? I
- 9:34Speaker 1: actually see it. Uh. I see it as an opportunity
- 9:39Speaker 1: because you don't have to get caught by surprise once
- 9:41Speaker 1: again with the same information. And and if I kind
- 9:47Speaker 1: of look at real estate similar to stock, I don't
- 9:50Speaker 1: I don't like to buy at the top of the
- 9:52Speaker 1: market at all possible. Um. There's some good deals that
- 9:55Speaker 1: are out there still, and they're they're they're available now,
- 9:58Speaker 1: so there's always gonna be another deal comes along. But
- 10:01Speaker 1: I like to buy when no one else is buying,
- 10:04Speaker 1: because then that's where the real deals are. And UM,
- 10:07Speaker 1: I heard a story a long time ago and they
- 10:09Speaker 1: said that, um, good money waits until the bad money
- 10:13Speaker 1: leaves the market. And in essence, all that's saying is
- 10:17Speaker 1: that individuals that are buying at the top of the market,
- 10:20Speaker 1: if the market collapses, then you lose value in your home.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But those that buy later, those are the ones that
- 10:26Speaker 1: actually get a true transfer our wealth. And so UM,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I think that people should be smart about their money.
- 10:33Speaker 1: You know, I'd rather see someone purchase her home rather
- 10:36Speaker 1: than just rent, but be smart about it. It's finally here,
- 10:41Speaker 1: the season of celebration, and no matter how you celebrate
- 10:45Speaker 1: with family and friends, whether you're preparing for rays magos
- 10:48Speaker 1: or Karamu lighting the Manura, are going to midnight mass,
- 10:52Speaker 1: Coals has just what you need to make those traditions special.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Plus you'll find gifts for all your loved ones. Send
- 10:59Speaker 1: warm wishes with cozy fleeces, sweaters, loungeware, blankets and throws.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Support minority owned or founded brands by giving gifts from
- 11:07Speaker 1: Human Nation and shame moisture, or treat them to everyone's
- 11:11Speaker 1: favorite activewear from top brands like Nike, Adidas, and under Armour.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And in the spirit of giving, Coals Cares is donating
- 11:19Speaker 1: eight million dollars to local nonprofits nationwide committed to the
- 11:22Speaker 1: health and well being of our communities. No matter how
- 11:26Speaker 1: you celebrate, when you shop at Coals, you're right where
- 11:29Speaker 1: you belong. So this season, give with all your heart
- 11:32Speaker 1: with great gifts from Coals or Coals dot Com. If
- 11:36Speaker 1: I could be you and you could be me for
- 11:38Speaker 1: just one hour, if you could find a way to
- 11:41Speaker 1: get inside each other's mind, walcome mile in my shoes
- 11:45Speaker 1: wacome mile in my shoes. Shoes. We've all felt left out,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and for some that feeling lasts more than a moment.
- 11:54Speaker 1: We can change that. Learn how it belonging begins with us.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Dot org brought to you by the ACT Council. Welcome
- 12:01Speaker 1: out and the shoes. What grows in the forest trees?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Sure you know what else grows in the forest. Our imagination,
- 12:12Speaker 1: our sense of wonder, and our family bonds grow too,
- 12:16Speaker 1: because when we disconnect from this and connect with this,
- 12:22Speaker 1: we reconnect with each other. The forest is closer than
- 12:26Speaker 1: you think. Find a forest near you and start exploring.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I discovered the forest dot org brought to you by
- 12:32Speaker 1: the United States Forest Service and the AD Council. So
- 12:36Speaker 1: let's talk about this. Because you are a registered notes,
- 12:38Speaker 1: we're still in COVID. We all thought we was about
- 12:40Speaker 1: to get out of COVID. I'm double vaccinated and and
- 12:44Speaker 1: relaxed my whole life when I got vaccinate because I
- 12:47Speaker 1: was I realized I was living in a state of
- 12:49Speaker 1: parent I was paranoid about what I touched, who I
- 12:52Speaker 1: talked to, did, I did the grocery basket I pushed
- 12:55Speaker 1: in the grocery store, and then I got vaccinated and
- 12:58Speaker 1: I relaxed. I went, wow, I an actual I wasn't
- 13:00Speaker 1: hugging nobody. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't. I went
- 13:02Speaker 1: back to that, I wouldn't that relaxed team. But you
- 13:06Speaker 1: are a registered nurse, Kimmy, and being a registered nurse,
- 13:10Speaker 1: you see things from a different perspective than both that
- 13:12Speaker 1: either I see or Moor receives during the COVID in
- 13:17Speaker 1: walk us through that whole process of how you talk
- 13:20Speaker 1: to your friends, how you talk to your family, And
- 13:23Speaker 1: then one where we're dealing with this new delta variant,
- 13:26Speaker 1: how are you dealing with your friends and your family
- 13:30Speaker 1: to live a normal life if we all can live
- 13:33Speaker 1: a normal life. Um, that's a clinician. Is honestly difficult
- 13:39Speaker 1: for me to ever see us getting back to much normalcy. Okay, um,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and that's unfortunate in my opinion. UM, I'm gonna tell
- 13:48Speaker 1: you though, I guess part of my biggest surprise was
- 13:53Speaker 1: the conversation with so many people that people didn't wash
- 13:58Speaker 1: their hands regularly or you know, wipe the handle of
- 14:01Speaker 1: the car. I been I keep wipes in my car
- 14:04Speaker 1: and in my purse for years, and I always wiped
- 14:08Speaker 1: the handle of the car cof UM and so there's
- 14:11Speaker 1: something that we are going to have to put into
- 14:13Speaker 1: everyday practice just going forward, pandemic or not. UM. It
- 14:20Speaker 1: was very surreal to be a nurse in that time frame, UM,
- 14:24Speaker 1: because I've worked through a bowl, I a one h
- 14:27Speaker 1: one in one, all of that, and nothing compared to
- 14:32Speaker 1: this as far as the statistics of lives that we
- 14:36Speaker 1: were losing and the fact that we just couldn't get
- 14:39Speaker 1: our arms wrapped around this virus UM to take control
- 14:43Speaker 1: of it. So I don't I can't say I know
- 14:48Speaker 1: a person that doesn't know a person in their immediate
- 14:51Speaker 1: circle who wasn't affected by UM covid during the pandemic,
- 14:56Speaker 1: And so we have to still be vigilant. They told
- 14:59Speaker 1: us share that it could mutate, and if it mutated
- 15:03Speaker 1: into a different DNA type virus, that it's gonna be
- 15:08Speaker 1: a whole problem to kind of wrap your head around
- 15:10Speaker 1: another mutation of it UM. And that's where we are
- 15:13Speaker 1: right now, and some of the numbers are going back
- 15:16Speaker 1: up because a lot of people have gotten relaxed UM,
- 15:19Speaker 1: and we need to keep the same habits. We need
- 15:22Speaker 1: to still continue social distancing, we need to still continue handwashing,
- 15:26Speaker 1: we need to wear masks, especially in the close quarters
- 15:30Speaker 1: with people. UM, So a lot of the things we
- 15:33Speaker 1: were doing in we're gonna have to kind of revisit
- 15:36Speaker 1: some of them, I think for a while. We have
- 15:39Speaker 1: two questions with you, Kimmy, with Revolver our COVID Night Team.
- 15:43Speaker 1: First of all, you're shooting the show doing COVID Night Team.
- 15:46Speaker 1: How did that affect you mentally? You know, knowing what
- 15:48Speaker 1: you know, and then dealing with your husband knowing what
- 15:51Speaker 1: you're advising him on. And then when you hear people
- 15:53Speaker 1: who don't want to get vaccinated? How do what are
- 15:57Speaker 1: your response to that? And I offer these questions to
- 15:59Speaker 1: call with you because you're you're your professional and I
- 16:02Speaker 1: feel I can comedy you. And they are fans out
- 16:04Speaker 1: there need to hear the truth from somebody that they respect.
- 16:09Speaker 1: So for me in the realm of the TV show, UH,
- 16:14Speaker 1: they take extreme precautions as far as what we need
- 16:20Speaker 1: to do in order to keep filming. UM. We took
- 16:24Speaker 1: various lengthy breaks. This has probably been the longest season
- 16:29Speaker 1: ever filming because we had to take so many mandated breaks,
- 16:35Speaker 1: be it statewide, nationwide, or just from the production company. UM,
- 16:40Speaker 1: we have to do the same things. As far as
- 16:42Speaker 1: social distancing. We have to wear masks. We COVID tests
- 16:46Speaker 1: three times a week in order to continue filming. Um
- 16:50Speaker 1: anybody who's in the immediate circle of that filming group
- 16:55Speaker 1: has to test. So say, for instance, I have a
- 16:57Speaker 1: closing and they want to film the closing. The people
- 17:00Speaker 1: at the attorney's office have to test as well, so
- 17:03Speaker 1: they keep a real vigilant I on the COVID precautions,
- 17:08Speaker 1: which we can definitely respect. I think as far as
- 17:12Speaker 1: opening eyes, it probably open more resize more than my eyes,
- 17:17Speaker 1: to be fair, because as a nurse, I'm actually the
- 17:21Speaker 1: executive director, and so I didn't really have to beat
- 17:25Speaker 1: on the front lines unless I have to be on
- 17:27Speaker 1: the front lines. And with COVID, when you have nursing
- 17:31Speaker 1: and staff out, it's time for you to put your
- 17:33Speaker 1: scrubs on. So when he would see me get up
- 17:36Speaker 1: in the morning and put scrubs on, scrubs mint, it's
- 17:39Speaker 1: time for me to see patients, and it kind of
- 17:42Speaker 1: took a spin for him to know that, Okay, so
- 17:46Speaker 1: now this is real because you have to go into
- 17:48Speaker 1: these people's houses and see these patients at this point,
- 17:52Speaker 1: and it can affect you, it can affect our household.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It's stuff that you can bring home to our kids.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And so that's where a lot of that thing changed.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And in order to kind of reel it in, we
- 18:05Speaker 1: gotta do a lot of due diligence and our homework.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I believe that with the vaccinations that are coming out,
- 18:12Speaker 1: there's gonna be a lot of signs and symptoms we
- 18:14Speaker 1: have to be familiar with because it's new. It's new,
- 18:18Speaker 1: and anything new is gonna have signs and symptoms. We
- 18:21Speaker 1: just don't know them all at this point. And I
- 18:23Speaker 1: think that some of the fear and a lot of
- 18:27Speaker 1: people as far as taking the actual vaccine, it's just
- 18:30Speaker 1: new and we just gotta be familiar. I don't want
- 18:34Speaker 1: to be the one in a million that takes the
- 18:36Speaker 1: vaccine and you know it has the Caesar and not
- 18:39Speaker 1: like I don't want to be that one. Um, So
- 18:41Speaker 1: people are fearful. So I think the due diligence and
- 18:44Speaker 1: dissemination of information is what's gonna help people want to
- 18:47Speaker 1: get on board to make sure that we do everything
- 18:51Speaker 1: possible to keep this virus from exploding like it did
- 18:55Speaker 1: last year. You know, like I honest with you when
- 18:59Speaker 1: when when the overcame out, you know, I was paranoid.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Now you live in with a health professional, where was
- 19:04Speaker 1: your mind? Like she said, you know she put on
- 19:06Speaker 1: the scrubs. Now you know she out there dealing and
- 19:10Speaker 1: and that's a certain uncertainly uncomfortableness. How did did that
- 19:13Speaker 1: affect your relationship or did it create a different conversation
- 19:16Speaker 1: with the family that you didn't have previously. How did
- 19:19Speaker 1: you emotionally deal with that? Because it's still a degree
- 19:23Speaker 1: you know, even though she can say what she's doing
- 19:25Speaker 1: is correct, and you still have your own mindset that
- 19:27Speaker 1: you have to deal with. Talk to us about that. Well. Um, Initially,
- 19:32Speaker 1: when when Jimmy actually had to go on the front lines,
- 19:36Speaker 1: it was at the time where other countries death told
- 19:39Speaker 1: was through the roof, so UM, at that moment, it's
- 19:43Speaker 1: it felt like it could have been a death sentence.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And UM, it's very difficult to deal with because this is,
- 19:50Speaker 1: you know, my wife that we're talking about. So now
- 19:55Speaker 1: you see the personal sacrifice. It's actually changed my mind
- 19:58Speaker 1: completely about the metal profession in general. I know that
- 20:01Speaker 1: they save lives, but you don't know to what extent
- 20:05Speaker 1: when you actually put your own life on the line
- 20:07Speaker 1: for someone else. Then now you're really a hero, you know,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and um, you look at it for the greater good
- 20:15Speaker 1: of what she was doing. So I understand the selfless act.
- 20:18Speaker 1: But um, you know, you still have concerns because this
- 20:23Speaker 1: is this is a family member, this is somebody who's
- 20:25Speaker 1: very close and I don't know what I do without So, um,
- 20:29Speaker 1: you know there's stress that comes along with that. But
- 20:31Speaker 1: then after you get to doing some more homework and
- 20:33Speaker 1: you're realizing that you know some of the precautions that
- 20:37Speaker 1: were taken for you know, our country is different than
- 20:40Speaker 1: other countries and how it affected them. Um, also you
- 20:44Speaker 1: know how healthy we are as well. Look at your
- 20:47Speaker 1: children's eyes to see the true magic of a forest.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It's a storybook world for them. You look and see
- 20:53Speaker 1: a tree, They see the renal face of a wizard
- 20:57Speaker 1: with arms outstretched to the sky. They see treasure in pebbles,
- 21:01Speaker 1: they see a windy path that could lead to adventure,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and they see you. They're fearless. Guide is this fascinating world?
- 21:09Speaker 1: Find a forest near you and start exploring and discover
- 21:12Speaker 1: the forest dot org brought to you by the United
- 21:14Speaker 1: States Forest Service and the ad Council. What grows in
- 21:18Speaker 1: the forest. Trees, Sure, No what else grows in the forest.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Our imagination, our sense of wonder, and our family bonds
- 21:26Speaker 1: grow too, because when we disconnect from this and connect
- 21:31Speaker 1: with this, we reconnect with each other. The forest is
- 21:36Speaker 1: closer than you think. Find a forest near you and
- 21:39Speaker 1: start exploring. I Discover the Forest dot org brought to
- 21:43Speaker 1: you by the United States Forest Service and the ad Council.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Look for your children's eyes to see the true magic
- 21:50Speaker 1: of a forest. It's a storybook world for them. You
- 21:53Speaker 1: look and see a tree, They see the wrinkled face
- 21:56Speaker 1: of a wizard with arms outstretched to the sky. They
- 22:00Speaker 1: see treasuring pebbles. They see a windy path that could
- 22:03Speaker 1: lead to adventure, and they see you. They're fearless. Guide.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Is this fascinating world? Find the forest near you and
- 22:11Speaker 1: start exploring and discover the forest dot org brought to
- 22:14Speaker 1: you by the United States Forest Service and the Council.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Now let's talk about this. This loved one, this beautiful
- 22:21Speaker 1: woman that you married the first season of the show.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Did I read the bio? Still have not went on
- 22:28Speaker 1: a honeymoon? Not? Come on, Morris, come on, brother, come
- 22:30Speaker 1: on Block. Now you gotta talk to me that you
- 22:32Speaker 1: really see I know, technical or real professional. Talk about
- 22:36Speaker 1: the real estate. Talk about how your baller got two businesses.
- 22:40Speaker 1: You know, she got to rescue in America. She hero.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I just gotta get on your bar now. You know
- 22:48Speaker 1: he can't make a time to go nowhere, get a
- 22:51Speaker 1: rider with a condo. He could have walked in there
- 22:54Speaker 1: with a with a with a suit on, with a
- 22:56Speaker 1: mask on, and to care. You know, I got to
- 23:00Speaker 1: interview you in the third season and he ain't. Come on, Mark,
- 23:06Speaker 1: this is yours. This is your time to talk about
- 23:08Speaker 1: It's time to talk to all the black men. Okay,
- 23:12Speaker 1: Mr McDonald, I thank you for this opportunity to address
- 23:15Speaker 1: what's about to do? What's about to do? What's about
- 23:18Speaker 1: to do? You read her bio? Uh huh, I'm actually
- 23:24Speaker 1: up Jamaican this. Okay. I think she was. I gotta
- 23:30Speaker 1: in order to take her on a honeymoon. I'm a
- 23:32Speaker 1: gotta slow her down. Oh is you Kimmy? You the problem?
- 23:39Speaker 1: Kim me? Okay, okay, Marie, let me ask you this,
- 23:49Speaker 1: or let's we're just on my show. We're just on
- 23:51Speaker 1: my show. You're a baller. Let's fantasize what would be
- 23:56Speaker 1: a place or destiny. What would that experience be for
- 24:00Speaker 1: this beautiful remember of the Sigma stated, who's a hero
- 24:05Speaker 1: in a medical profession? Save it live? Putting the family
- 24:08Speaker 1: in jeopardy, but all for the benefit of America. What
- 24:12Speaker 1: would you take her hand? Man? This angel? Let me
- 24:16Speaker 1: let me tell you Jamaica, Jamaica Man, Jamaica maken starter
- 24:23Speaker 1: for sure. She loves son and fun for sure. If
- 24:28Speaker 1: saying they ain't in her toes mit, that's the one
- 24:33Speaker 1: that I know for sure, like the best times in
- 24:36Speaker 1: her life always as son insane, right right? So um,
- 24:43Speaker 1: we've actually, you know, going on a honeymoon and the
- 24:46Speaker 1: timing has to be right, of course because we have
- 24:48Speaker 1: the kids and uh we have to make sure that
- 24:52Speaker 1: all that stuff is in order. They're starting school. But
- 24:55Speaker 1: this is about to go down. It's about to go down.
- 25:00Speaker 1: You know, kim me here that I'm gonna bring you
- 25:03Speaker 1: all back on the show. Now. Can I be season four?
- 25:06Speaker 1: And we're still talking about it. I've been hearing it.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I'm ready, I got a suitcase. You know how women
- 25:11Speaker 1: that are? You know, because you know you're a beautiful couple, y'all.
- 25:20Speaker 1: You know, y'all look good, look right here, I met
- 25:22Speaker 1: with somebody looked good in front of me. I I'm
- 25:24Speaker 1: not ashamed, y'all beautiful couple. And he ain't just taking
- 25:27Speaker 1: you know where the showcase you know, put you on
- 25:30Speaker 1: the pedestal, you know, held you up high like you know,
- 25:33Speaker 1: like they did the baby. You know what I'm saying,
- 25:35Speaker 1: he ain't done nothing. But you know, when when I
- 25:39Speaker 1: when I when I when I look at the show
- 25:41Speaker 1: and I'm just shifting gears a little bit here because
- 25:44Speaker 1: I want to know, what do you know Tiffany and
- 25:48Speaker 1: also Maurice and some of these storylines, because you know,
- 25:51Speaker 1: like you know, especially recently when you had the little
- 25:54Speaker 1: dinner with it, and then then you were shocked by
- 25:56Speaker 1: this new I call a shady character Tiffany who's been
- 26:00Speaker 1: added to the show. She just run around there just
- 26:02Speaker 1: dropping dimes on everybody, and and then you have to
- 26:06Speaker 1: react to that, like the last time was in the
- 26:11Speaker 1: luncheon when she dropped the dime on on Destiny and
- 26:15Speaker 1: then she and then the previous episode she told she
- 26:18Speaker 1: told h she told Meller did she even know who
- 26:20Speaker 1: Destiny was? And then she shared some information about monster
- 26:25Speaker 1: and vaping, and that shocked you because she revealed information
- 26:28Speaker 1: by the kid? So how does these story lines work
- 26:31Speaker 1: for my fans? As far as how do y'all walk
- 26:34Speaker 1: into these scenes? Are y'all produced to up to a
- 26:37Speaker 1: point or they just set scenarios? How does that work?
- 26:41Speaker 1: Starting with you, Kimmy, then I'm going to you because
- 26:43Speaker 1: we need to get the men side of the story
- 26:44Speaker 1: because that Martel, he's just a disaster. Okay. So as
- 26:52Speaker 1: far as the production of the show, UM and all fairness,
- 26:56Speaker 1: we have different um Field producers that are assigned to
- 27:00Speaker 1: us and UM. They communicate with us on a very
- 27:04Speaker 1: regular basis, UM either phone in person just to know
- 27:08Speaker 1: what's going on in our world each week, UM, what's
- 27:12Speaker 1: coming up, events that are coming up, things that we
- 27:15Speaker 1: have planned as far as our businesses or UM children, UM.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And so they don't produce the situation. However, they do
- 27:25Speaker 1: try to help us see different avenues of getting it filmed,
- 27:30Speaker 1: like getting it on TV UM and the things that
- 27:33Speaker 1: are actually I guess TV worthy, you know, because you
- 27:36Speaker 1: might tell them ten different things you got going on
- 27:39Speaker 1: this week and they only interested in one. UM, and
- 27:43Speaker 1: that happens fairly often. The one thing I will say
- 27:46Speaker 1: about the show that I say a lot. Actually is
- 27:51Speaker 1: they force us to have some conversations that we might
- 27:54Speaker 1: not normally have. And the reason I say that is
- 27:59Speaker 1: because there are times like for me, especially when I
- 28:03Speaker 1: have an altercation with someone, I kind of distanced myself,
- 28:07Speaker 1: UM because I really enjoyed my peace and my peace
- 28:12Speaker 1: is more important than non peace UM. And so on
- 28:17Speaker 1: the show, they have put us in situations where we're
- 28:21Speaker 1: encouraged to talk it out instead of sleeping it be UM.
- 28:26Speaker 1: And and that is where production, I think takes a
- 28:29Speaker 1: big band and helping us get over some hurdles that
- 28:34Speaker 1: maybe otherwise we wouldn't get over um. And to be fair,
- 28:38Speaker 1: it also produces some hurdles, produces some hurdles UM, But
- 28:45Speaker 1: more often than not, it's just strict conversation that we've
- 28:49Speaker 1: had with them, UM, and they kind of determine the
- 28:53Speaker 1: best day, the best time for us to kind of
- 28:56Speaker 1: blossom that conversation into something that the nation can relate to. Well,
- 29:02Speaker 1: you know always you know, you know, your brother's on
- 29:05Speaker 1: the show and he has kind of like a Lucy
- 29:07Speaker 1: goosey personality, you know, versus your person. Your person is
- 29:10Speaker 1: pretty straightforward. You know, you you know, you truly are professional,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and I'm not saying he's unprofessional, but I think you
- 29:17Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. You know, he kind of jokes
- 29:19Speaker 1: around a lot a lot of situations. Even though she
- 29:21Speaker 1: slapped your hand when you joked around with Cara when
- 29:24Speaker 1: y'all did that little video phone call, she didn't think
- 29:26Speaker 1: that was a joke that Kimi said that there ain't
- 29:28Speaker 1: no time to joke. Now, Okay, you stop all that joking. Now,
- 29:32Speaker 1: you ain't no comedian now, Mr Morris, Okay, now we
- 29:36Speaker 1: look over that Martell, his life, her disaster is just
- 29:39Speaker 1: being played out on social media, is being played out
- 29:42Speaker 1: on TV. When you look at that and you're dealing
- 29:45Speaker 1: with all of the situations, how do you how do
- 29:47Speaker 1: you deal with that? How do you make sure that
- 29:50Speaker 1: your brand, your family, it doesn't become a victim of
- 29:55Speaker 1: this show or any type of show that they can
- 29:57Speaker 1: be exposed in a negative light, because right now has
- 30:00Speaker 1: happened to them. And I'm not saying, like even Destiny
- 30:02Speaker 1: she got a divorce on the show, And I'm not
- 30:04Speaker 1: trying to turn this into a negative conversation, but it
- 30:06Speaker 1: is a certain responsibility that you have to hope hold
- 30:09Speaker 1: both as a couple to understand what you're involved in
- 30:11Speaker 1: and making sure that it doesn't impact your home. Yeah,
- 30:17Speaker 1: I think that there's a level of emotional intelligence that's
- 30:20Speaker 1: important when you're getting on a reality television show. Um,
- 30:25Speaker 1: there's a level of character that I'm not I'm not
- 30:28Speaker 1: gonna play a certain character in life, and that's just
- 30:31Speaker 1: being true to myself, true to my family, true to
- 30:34Speaker 1: my brain. Um. And at the end of the day,
- 30:38Speaker 1: I think that there's not enough there's not enough game
- 30:42Speaker 1: from television, UM or reality television to lose my family. UM.
- 30:48Speaker 1: And I personally think that even in certain certain situations
- 30:53Speaker 1: that they're dealing with, UM, it's difficult because the world
- 30:59Speaker 1: has an idea about how their relationship should go when
- 31:02Speaker 1: they see just snippets of the person. So even though
- 31:06Speaker 1: Mark tell and and this is this is a concept
- 31:09Speaker 1: that's kind of difficult for a lot of fans to get.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Martell is not an ass all the time, right. There's
- 31:16Speaker 1: no way in the world that Martell would have been
- 31:19Speaker 1: this person and Mail would have been with him for
- 31:21Speaker 1: ten years, right. So that's just a portion of his personality.
- 31:26Speaker 1: On the flip side, Martell is probably one of the
- 31:28Speaker 1: nicest people you've ever meet, and he's awful, he's carrying.
- 31:33Speaker 1: He's the kind of individual that will call you about,
- 31:37Speaker 1: you know, something that you may have talked to him
- 31:38Speaker 1: about two weeks ago and he's found a solution for it.
- 31:41Speaker 1: So there's a flip side to Mark Telle that you
- 31:44Speaker 1: don't get a chance to see all the time. And
- 31:46Speaker 1: there's a flip side to pretty much all of us. Um.
- 31:50Speaker 1: You know, I'm reserved for the most part on the show,
- 31:53Speaker 1: but I'm not always reserved. There's things that you know
- 31:56Speaker 1: call spirited conversation. Um. Usually when you involve children, my family,
- 32:04Speaker 1: you know those things you know definitely will you know,
- 32:07Speaker 1: turn up my uh my intensity a little bit. Well,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I want to thank you both for coming on the show.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I've been trying to get you all since season one.
- 32:14Speaker 1: You're very special. Uh More importantly, as as we walk
- 32:19Speaker 1: through this, you know you you guys are black excellence
- 32:21Speaker 1: and from the city of Huntsville, which I'm very familiar with.
- 32:24Speaker 1: If you ever been, If anybody have fans who are
- 32:26Speaker 1: listening to the watching if you have not, Huntsville is
- 32:29Speaker 1: uh the Homer Nassa. Uh. Some of the high population
- 32:32Speaker 1: of educated people, they income levels very high, so don't
- 32:36Speaker 1: look at don't feel like it's a little small cuntry
- 32:38Speaker 1: town because you're highly mistaken about what's going on in Huntsville.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Because this couple I'm talking to right now are very
- 32:43Speaker 1: successful and they're all right. And thank you for coming
