- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me in doing me. Honey, you
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turn you gotta turn the turnow, got the turnout,
- 1:45Speaker 1: then turn the water the water go me come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back that I sure well a good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. It is Steve Harvey. Yeah, I got
- 2:13Speaker 1: a radio show. Okay, this is timely for everybody. I'm
- 2:19Speaker 1: sure I want to offer you all or some encouragement
- 2:27Speaker 1: because everybody needed. Let me tell you something. You strike
- 2:34Speaker 1: out on your goals. You strike out on your aspirations.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You get headed out on the course to fulfill your dreams.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You strike out on the mission to get it accomplished.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You have resolutions, you decide that this is what it's
- 2:50Speaker 1: going to be, and so you strike out all in
- 2:55Speaker 1: it all engines blasting full force right ahead. And then
- 3:02Speaker 1: it happens, as it happens to all of us. Here
- 3:07Speaker 1: it comes a setback. Here, it comes something pop up. Man.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Here it comes the unexpected, all out of nowhere man,
- 3:26Speaker 1: a hater, just something that, really, man, is undescribable to
- 3:33Speaker 1: you because you're just going along your what you thought
- 3:36Speaker 1: was your merry way, and here it comes life. Life
- 3:44Speaker 1: just hits one of them bad notes, as it always does,
- 3:49Speaker 1: as it always does for all of us, for everybody. Now,
- 3:56Speaker 1: when those bad notes happen, when I hate come out
- 4:00Speaker 1: of nowhere, when the setback comes up, when when the
- 4:04Speaker 1: out of nowhere appears, when I didn't see that coming comes,
- 4:13Speaker 1: Here's here's what you have to do. Here is the
- 4:16Speaker 1: thing that I have been teaching myself for years that
- 4:22Speaker 1: I used to not always understand. So I'm trying to
- 4:26Speaker 1: give it to you. You have to be encouraged anyway.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Now that's difficult, okay, Steve, what you're talking about. You
- 4:35Speaker 1: just told me all this discouraging stuff that can happen,
- 4:39Speaker 1: and you said you got to be encouraged anyway. Yeah, man,
- 4:44Speaker 1: you have to, because what's happening to you right now,
- 4:50Speaker 1: the thing that you're going through right now, the thing
- 4:53Speaker 1: that everybody's going through right now. Ain't nobody on smooth sailing, man.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Everybody got something and if they if they don't smooth selling,
- 5:01Speaker 1: just notice is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It's just that this is life. This is how it
- 5:08Speaker 1: happens everybody. So please stop stop getting on the old
- 5:12Speaker 1: woe is Me bandwagon? Old Lord? Why met old Lord?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Something always happened to me, something always happens to everybody.
- 5:22Speaker 1: But here's what you got to do. When you get
- 5:24Speaker 1: in moments like this, you got to be encouraged. You
- 5:27Speaker 1: got to remember in those times, in those times when
- 5:32Speaker 1: it's going wrong, you got to remember all that you've
- 5:36Speaker 1: been through. You got to remember all that you've come through.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You have to remember those other times when you felt
- 5:47Speaker 1: like this and somehow, unexplainably you don't even really stop
- 5:52Speaker 1: to say nothing about it. It just changed for you.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And the problem that was is no more. And the
- 6:00Speaker 1: situation that seems so insurmountable, you got over it, You
- 6:06Speaker 1: got around it, You got over it. Sometimes you just
- 6:10Speaker 1: got to slide right under it. Sometimes you got to
- 6:16Speaker 1: plow through it. But in those times when it's discouraging
- 6:21Speaker 1: for you, when you feel like giving up, those are
- 6:25Speaker 1: the test. Those are the moments that will determine whether
- 6:33Speaker 1: we make it. Or not. I'll tell you one thing
- 6:35Speaker 1: for sure. If you give up in these moments, right
- 6:39Speaker 1: here here is a foreshow you'll never make it. That
- 6:44Speaker 1: that's unquestionably the deal. If you give up in these
- 6:48Speaker 1: dark times, if you give up in these what you
- 6:52Speaker 1: think is insurmountable moments, if you turn back, now here
- 6:58Speaker 1: is the one thousand percent sent for sure, you ain't
- 7:01Speaker 1: gonna make it. But there's a bright side to this situation.
- 7:07Speaker 1: If you keep your head down, if you keep forging,
- 7:12Speaker 1: if you keep pressing on. Sometimes, if you just stand
- 7:16Speaker 1: there and sometimes get knocked to your knees, But if
- 7:19Speaker 1: you stay in that place, if you just stay there
- 7:22Speaker 1: and ride the storm out, my head is bloodied but unbowed.
- 7:28Speaker 1: If you can just stay there, if you consider in
- 7:34Speaker 1: that moment and ride it out, you will win. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: will win, You will pass the test, and you will
- 7:47Speaker 1: get to move on to the next level. But there
- 7:51Speaker 1: is no next level without a test. You can't get
- 7:55Speaker 1: to grade six without passing grade five. You can't be
- 8:00Speaker 1: your senior without first being a junior. You can't graduate
- 8:05Speaker 1: without fulfilling the hours and requirements. You see, I don't
- 8:10Speaker 1: care what you do in life. Look at it it's
- 8:13Speaker 1: all set up on levels, but you've got to accomplish
- 8:17Speaker 1: the thing before in order to get to the next level.
- 8:20Speaker 1: And when you've made those level accomplishments, you get to graduate.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Now you can go on and get the masters in
- 8:26Speaker 1: a PhD. You can go on and become rich. You
- 8:29Speaker 1: can go become wealthy, or you can go or you
- 8:32Speaker 1: can go somewhere and think yourself in another set of circumstances.
- 8:35Speaker 1: But you got to go through something to get to something.
- 8:38Speaker 1: There ain't nothing free. So you can stop that notion
- 8:41Speaker 1: about being successful that is easy. Come on, man, if
- 8:45Speaker 1: it was easy what we are, what we're talking about,
- 8:49Speaker 1: it is not easy. Stop thinking it is. It is difficult.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what's even more difficult than becoming successful.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You want to know what that is, Try not being
- 9:02Speaker 1: successful your whole life. That's hard. You are listening to
- 9:08Speaker 1: a person who has done them both been successful and
- 9:14Speaker 1: really really been not successful. And I got news for you.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Both of them hard. But I would rather deal with
- 9:22Speaker 1: what it is to be something, to make something out
- 9:25Speaker 1: of myself, to force myself to go to work when
- 9:28Speaker 1: I don't feel like it. This morning was a rough
- 9:30Speaker 1: get up for me. But I got up and I
- 9:33Speaker 1: said thank you anyway, never give up. And I don't
- 9:37Speaker 1: watch this dude too. He even mess around and got
- 9:39Speaker 1: close to me because he just never gave up. You
- 9:42Speaker 1: can never ever give up. Never. It's not an option.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Giving up cannot be an option for you. You cannot
- 9:51Speaker 1: do that. It's out of the question. It's ain't conceivable
- 9:56Speaker 1: in your mind to quit, because to quit, it's to
- 9:59Speaker 1: watch what you get when you quit. Nothing. That is
- 10:04Speaker 1: a reward for those who hang in there, who never
- 10:08Speaker 1: give up, who forged through, who see it through, Who
- 10:11Speaker 1: getting knocked down and get back up, who gets trampled
- 10:14Speaker 1: but somehow gathers themselves and get back to your knees.
- 10:19Speaker 1: But stay in that place, man, don't ever give up.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Don't let go be encouraged. Think of all you've been through,
- 10:25Speaker 1: Think of all you come through, Think of all he's
- 10:27Speaker 1: done for you. Think of all the times you thought
- 10:30Speaker 1: you wasn't gonna make it, but somehow, without you ever
- 10:32Speaker 1: even saying thank you, he got through. He got you
- 10:35Speaker 1: through it anyway. That's that thing called grace. Now we
- 10:38Speaker 1: kind of need that in our life. All I need
- 10:42Speaker 1: is a little more grace. You can't give God, no
- 10:46Speaker 1: money for grace, man. Grace is absolutely free. It's available
- 10:49Speaker 1: to everybody, but you can't get none if you quit.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Don't give up. I'll just tell you that flat out.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Don't ever give up. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. It
- 11:02Speaker 1: is about to go down for the how many you
- 11:06Speaker 1: know what? Somebody should get a calculated out and calculate
- 11:10Speaker 1: how many Mornings shows approximately we've done since two thousand
- 11:15Speaker 1: and five. Oh my god, let me do that. Everybody?
- 11:19Speaker 1: Is this fool's question? No? Okay? Oh today is yeah.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I don't do that. So whatever we're gonna do questions
- 11:30Speaker 1: today or something like that, Well, I can do some
- 11:33Speaker 1: level of ignorance whatever y'all want to do. Charlie's straw berry?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Steve Hardy, what was that? Steve? You know I hiccuped
- 11:43Speaker 1: in the middle of it and tried to just turn
- 11:45Speaker 1: it in. Okay, that was pretty slack. I like that.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I like that. I know little moves like that. You know,
- 11:52Speaker 1: when you're on stage and you and you hiccup, You
- 11:54Speaker 1: got to do something. Colin, for real? What's going out?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Good morning? Steve? Even? What up? Junior? Morning off? Whatever?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Pimp timming? What was happening. Dog It dog Monday. Baby.
- 12:09Speaker 1: The sun is shining so bright, and I'm happy to
- 12:19Speaker 1: be alive today, boar, happy to be alive. Man. Had
- 12:25Speaker 1: a great weekend work when and hung out with a friend,
- 12:29Speaker 1: did a foundation for my buddy self down in uh Orlando, Florida.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Went right back to Orlando. I was Disney Dreamers a
- 12:36Speaker 1: week before and went right back. How was it? I
- 12:39Speaker 1: was pretty cool, pretty cool. Play golf two days in
- 12:42Speaker 1: the row. Only gone holes though now not just nine holes. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: I just try to mix in a little bit in
- 12:53Speaker 1: a work Saturday night, and I was the only celebrity there,
- 12:56Speaker 1: so that was tagged you it, man, I should I should.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Let y'all see this picture that my assistant took of
- 13:06Speaker 1: me while these people had came up. You know, Okay,
- 13:10Speaker 1: now imagine this. Now We're in a banquet hall and
- 13:13Speaker 1: we had all everybody's got these big round tables, tables
- 13:16Speaker 1: and ten thousand a piece, some of them twenty five thousand.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I'm sitting at the table in the middle, up at
- 13:21Speaker 1: the front, and you know, during dinner, people were getting up,
- 13:27Speaker 1: walking up, and I'm like, it's my back is to
- 13:29Speaker 1: the dance floor because we're the first table. You know
- 13:33Speaker 1: how the tables be surrounding the dance floor. So I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: in the middle table, middle of the dance floor, facing
- 13:39Speaker 1: my back to the dance floor. In the stage, people
- 13:42Speaker 1: would come up behind me. Have that friend go on
- 13:46Speaker 1: the other side of the table and just bend over
- 13:50Speaker 1: at face level and take pictures with you. That's when
- 13:55Speaker 1: you know you're a real boy. I got I gotta
- 14:00Speaker 1: let y'all see he tickled me. Many look at me. Yeah,
- 14:09Speaker 1: I love it. That was seven hundred people at this banquet. Yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 1: and you're the only celebrity there. Oh yeah, you worked
- 14:23Speaker 1: the room. I was sick, but when we got up
- 14:28Speaker 1: there for the auction, your boy was crazy. Steve all right,
- 14:35Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour, a little
- 14:37Speaker 1: weekend review. We got a preview from Steve Justice right now,
- 14:40Speaker 1: but we'll have more right after this at thirty two
- 14:43Speaker 1: after the hour. You're listening, all right, Happy Monday, everyone,
- 14:50Speaker 1: We'll find out what happened over the weekend. How is
- 14:53Speaker 1: everyone's weekend? Steve? You sounded like you had a great
- 14:57Speaker 1: weekend in Orlando benefit called Kids House down in Orlando,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and uh, one of my best friends, self Bernstein's wife, Maria,
- 15:09Speaker 1: heads up the foundation, and he asked me to come
- 15:11Speaker 1: down and host it, and I did an auction. Uh,
- 15:15Speaker 1: they raised a lot of money. Your boy, Your boy
- 15:18Speaker 1: was clowning at the auction. The most they've raised that
- 15:21Speaker 1: their auction has been about two hundred and fifty to
- 15:24Speaker 1: three hundred thousand. Oh oh, your boy broke all records
- 15:29Speaker 1: last night. We had over six hundred and fifty thousand.
- 15:34Speaker 1: What are you doing that? Well, you know, I had
- 15:37Speaker 1: an auction off stuff, and uh, they were so I
- 15:41Speaker 1: had the newscaster buddy of my name, Jim. He went
- 15:44Speaker 1: up and he would describe the project, I mean whatever,
- 15:47Speaker 1: like a trip over to Europe for six days. You
- 15:51Speaker 1: know they had, they had a lot of prizes and
- 15:54Speaker 1: who had seven of them to do? And I just
- 15:57Speaker 1: I just went at it. Man, Steve Harvey style made
- 16:00Speaker 1: it real funny. People. Oh no, no, no no, I ain't
- 16:05Speaker 1: do that. All right, y'all, let's start this off here
- 16:10Speaker 1: like four thousand. Ain't nobody got four damn grand the tables,
- 16:16Speaker 1: it's twenty five. So you just tapped out. Now you
- 16:20Speaker 1: ain't got nothing for them. That's Jesus for kids, And
- 16:23Speaker 1: it's right, all right. I got four thousand. Right here,
- 16:25Speaker 1: they're gonna farty five hundred. We're gonna increments of five.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Don't give me no farty one. Ain't nobody fit to
- 16:31Speaker 1: be counting like that. I can't keep up farty five hundred. Hell,
- 16:35Speaker 1: why am I hill? What I'm down here for? You
- 16:43Speaker 1: were telling them how to be Oh man, we was clowning. Man.
- 16:47Speaker 1: We had a good time. So I got a lot
- 16:48Speaker 1: of people being against each other then, you know, so
- 16:51Speaker 1: I just did it. It's one guy, though, was that
- 16:53Speaker 1: the thing? He was interesting me because he was weighing
- 16:56Speaker 1: the back. He kept bidding, but he kept losing. You know,
- 16:59Speaker 1: he was getting now bid and he just he's just crazy.
- 17:02Speaker 1: So he got up to this one bid and something
- 17:05Speaker 1: was being known for eight thousand dollars, and he said, Steve,
- 17:09Speaker 1: he's way in the back. Steve, I get eight thousand,
- 17:13Speaker 1: and I want a picture with my family back here.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I said, my man, if you do this for the charity,
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'll come right there and take a picture with you
- 17:21Speaker 1: in your family. Cool eight thousand dollars out front, gos
- 17:25Speaker 1: nine thousand, nine thousand, Steve, you ain't got to do
- 17:32Speaker 1: a picture with me. I took a hundred of them
- 17:34Speaker 1: standing right here. So I go on the back to
- 17:39Speaker 1: this guy and I felt bad for him, and I said,
- 17:41Speaker 1: ain't man, you lost another bid. He said, I'm just
- 17:44Speaker 1: gonna be honest with you. You know, you're not worth
- 17:47Speaker 1: an eight thousand dollars to pitch you with you. That
- 17:51Speaker 1: was so the audience. But oh, like, you know, why
- 17:54Speaker 1: are you doing Why are you saying that about the man?
- 17:56Speaker 1: You know, I just walked through. You know, I ain't
- 17:59Speaker 1: ain't bothering I said, you you know, said it into
- 18:04Speaker 1: the no, I saying it right there, just like that. Okay,
- 18:09Speaker 1: we're still live on the air, all right. Well that
- 18:12Speaker 1: what I said, live last you know, So I don't
- 18:15Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you is they wanted
- 18:17Speaker 1: to just kill the story, keep it moving, you know,
- 18:20Speaker 1: better finish the story. Well you know what I mean.
- 18:23Speaker 1: You know, it kind of stumped him a little bit,
- 18:24Speaker 1: you know, but you know I had got tired by
- 18:27Speaker 1: that point. You know, once I get tired, the filters off,
- 18:30Speaker 1: so you know, we just had Then they was really
- 18:32Speaker 1: laughing because your boy was good bucket funny. Then they
- 18:38Speaker 1: had the sheriff who was the head of the one
- 18:40Speaker 1: of the heads. He came up with. You can come
- 18:43Speaker 1: down and ride with SWAT one day, try on the vest.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You can go shooting. You can ride in a helicopter
- 18:50Speaker 1: and you can ride down the river canals where they
- 18:54Speaker 1: do the drug reinforcement training, and you could fire live
- 19:00Speaker 1: rounds right alone. And I said, man, that's great, great, Yeah,
- 19:06Speaker 1: who who wants to who wants to? Don Come on,
- 19:10Speaker 1: get your head up in there. Let's stop five thousand dollars.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Throw your life out the way. That's fall out that
- 19:16Speaker 1: damn helicopter. You know, your ass way too much up
- 19:18Speaker 1: in that helicopter. Ride down the canal and somebody really
- 19:22Speaker 1: starts shooting. Now you took one in your arm. Oh,
- 19:26Speaker 1: I had them people screaming, ste It sounds like we
- 19:31Speaker 1: did a little stand up. That's what it sounds like it.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Let me tell boy, your boy win them. I had. Hey, man,
- 19:42Speaker 1: I gotta tell you the comedy muscle is live. And
- 19:46Speaker 1: well there we go and s my timing is sharp.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Come on, I'm just, I'm just. I've been thinking about it.
- 19:54Speaker 1: But you know that it's the problem is political correctness.
- 19:59Speaker 1: It's oh wow, yeah, just killing it now at the club.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You're straight though, you say whatever the heck you want to. Yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 1: but see if I go back, I gotta do like
- 20:13Speaker 1: everybody else is doing, and I need your cell phones
- 20:15Speaker 1: in the zip up bad Oh yeah, yeah, do you
- 20:19Speaker 1: do that when you go out? Tommy and Junior, Now
- 20:21Speaker 1: they'd be direct their video man, right that service for
- 20:26Speaker 1: I'm not tell you that. Oh it's a service. H yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 1: come at that. Yeah, they'll put him in a band.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Hey say, Julia lost yourself? That will we not go?
- 20:39Speaker 1: But you're mentioning that though, Temmy, because you're still trying
- 20:42Speaker 1: to put your tour together type of my ofcle out
- 20:45Speaker 1: that one moment one moten to. Yeah, there's some standing
- 20:50Speaker 1: that one mode for the guilty. You know, let's go
- 20:53Speaker 1: how you feel about that? Steve? He ready you just did,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I know, let's go, Hey, tour because politically correct, that's
- 21:05Speaker 1: what you think? Yeah, man, because I mean I'm gonna
- 21:07Speaker 1: say something crazy. I want to say what I want
- 21:09Speaker 1: to say? Well, they look for everything coming out of
- 21:12Speaker 1: every Yeah. Yeah, but Steve, I mean you do you
- 21:16Speaker 1: do reasonably well on this show? Yeah? Okay, let me
- 21:22Speaker 1: explain something. Okay, let me let me just give you
- 21:26Speaker 1: the subjects that can't be off limits, but probably it
- 21:29Speaker 1: would get you a lot of hurry a. Kelly Jesse
- 21:33Speaker 1: Smilly Bill calls me. You're right there. See how I
- 21:40Speaker 1: got quiet? That's why I'm going. Oh yeah, church complains
- 21:48Speaker 1: with Reverend Bowtown taking death Jam coming up right after this.
- 21:54Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Show Tragic news to report hip
- 21:59Speaker 1: hop star and community activist Nipsey Hustle was shot and
- 22:04Speaker 1: killed yesterday. Unbelievable. Uh, we're definitely praying for his Beyonce,
- 22:10Speaker 1: Lauren London, the actress, and his children. Uh so very sad.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Oh boy. Also in entertainment news, um, other entertainment news,
- 22:20Speaker 1: we're going to highlight some of the winners from the
- 22:22Speaker 1: fiftieth annual NAACP Image Awards and Chris Rock Steve Chris
- 22:28Speaker 1: Rock ignored the band Jesse Smollett joke, Yes, oh you
- 22:35Speaker 1: saw that, right to talk to her, Well you have
- 22:41Speaker 1: some inside information. Good. And then Omari Hardwick we know
- 22:45Speaker 1: him as ghost from a Power. He's receiving some bashe
- 22:48Speaker 1: backlash from kissing Beyonce. Yeah. Right now it's Monday. Reverend Motown,
- 22:54Speaker 1: Dick and def Jam are here with today's church complaints.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Let's go we m lord, we get in there forward forward.
- 23:10Speaker 1: We move in gratitude. My lord, my lord, today is
- 23:22Speaker 1: a great day. Yes he is, and we're about to
- 23:26Speaker 1: mess it all up with a bunch of complaints. Just
- 23:32Speaker 1: let us begin. Go ahead, deacon, all right, Happy Monday
- 23:38Speaker 1: to you as well. Past it. Listen, I the deacon
- 23:41Speaker 1: board is complaining that passed. I don'tough you know it.
- 23:45Speaker 1: But after they did the count on Sunday evening, we
- 23:49Speaker 1: are excited, excited to give the news that we are
- 23:54Speaker 1: now planning for the construction of the new church. We
- 23:57Speaker 1: have enough money to get the buildings. Are we are
- 24:01Speaker 1: all go ahead? I just said, my lord. Yes. Now
- 24:07Speaker 1: here's some things that are going on. Since marijuana is
- 24:11Speaker 1: legal in this state, the new ministry are the higher dimension.
- 24:16Speaker 1: It's requesting a smoker's lines to be added onto the
- 24:19Speaker 1: new church as well, So that's up to you. You're
- 24:22Speaker 1: gonna allowed in to have a smoking line? Well, oh no, no, no, no,
- 24:28Speaker 1: we're not gonna do that, not for Mary Wanning legal,
- 24:35Speaker 1: so that's why they answer. It may be legal, but
- 24:38Speaker 1: the jack Pot Joint of Jerusalem as yet to find
- 24:41Speaker 1: a way to make money off of it, so it's
- 24:43Speaker 1: not gonna be legal. In the heal, we are smoking
- 24:46Speaker 1: ain't gonna be legal in heaven, so we can't make
- 24:49Speaker 1: it legal in heal. Okay, all right, ah, let's see
- 24:55Speaker 1: the fester Josephine Lockhart. Lockhart is wanting a pool party
- 25:01Speaker 1: for her seventy fifth birthday. She wants to wear bikini,
- 25:04Speaker 1: and the deacon board is asking that you please put
- 25:06Speaker 1: a stop to this nonsense, because done nobody want to
- 25:08Speaker 1: see that? No, we don't, but I'm gonna go ahead
- 25:15Speaker 1: and approve that, Deacon. Why would you do that nobody
- 25:19Speaker 1: wants to see? Well, the pool party won't cost so much,
- 25:23Speaker 1: will it, if anybody gonna be there, if nobody want
- 25:28Speaker 1: to see it, we didn't throw the pool board pretty cheap.
- 25:31Speaker 1: It's just gonna be hugged. And the way she was
- 25:34Speaker 1: gonna do it anyway, because she ain't got no money
- 25:36Speaker 1: to fly on where She's gonna put some sand in
- 25:38Speaker 1: her bathroom around the up, around the bathtub and just
- 25:42Speaker 1: gonna step out the tub like she owned the beach.
- 25:47Speaker 1: And then we're just gonna put it on Instagram and
- 25:49Speaker 1: then make it, try to make it. We're gonna get
- 25:51Speaker 1: one of them young kids to photo shop the tub out,
- 25:56Speaker 1: and she want to look like halle Berry coming up
- 25:58Speaker 1: out the water. That's not gonna ha oh, it's gonna
- 26:02Speaker 1: be horrible, but I damn sure we're gonna see it.
- 26:05Speaker 1: All right, Well, I go ahead and go ahead and
- 26:07Speaker 1: let them have it. And you want to let her hand,
- 26:10Speaker 1: all right, well hold on to your belt on this one.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Past to the two Africans joined churches past Sunday. They
- 26:15Speaker 1: were the same one that was with Jesse. They they
- 26:24Speaker 1: are back and they joined Jack pot Um. They are saying,
- 26:28Speaker 1: if you want to be in the more in the spotlight,
- 26:30Speaker 1: they can whoop your ass tomorrow night. They're not gonna
- 26:33Speaker 1: really hurt you, but they can get you out there
- 26:36Speaker 1: a lot bad. If you want to be in the spotlight. Uh,
- 26:40Speaker 1: we're going to allow them to come on and become
- 26:45Speaker 1: members because we're gonna use them in all of our plays.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Well do what they're gonna do and play Oh did
- 26:55Speaker 1: you boy? Can act? Any time? You got two Africans
- 27:00Speaker 1: acting like they're white and pulling it off for weeks.
- 27:05Speaker 1: We got to bring them boys, and then I'm gonna
- 27:09Speaker 1: play the lead role. And when they when it's over,
- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell them I'm the saved Tupart. Come on now,
- 27:22Speaker 1: thank you, brother. You see how this just just this
- 27:29Speaker 1: could be a parable you know what I'm saying. You know,
- 27:35Speaker 1: come on now, I like that. You want me to
- 27:42Speaker 1: tell them that day all right to be a part
- 27:43Speaker 1: of our congregation? Yeah? Them them, the two brothers, right
- 27:54Speaker 1: you you you got more jokes or or or my turn. No,
- 27:59Speaker 1: it's I just want to know what day you wanted
- 28:01Speaker 1: to get jumped out, because they gonna want to know that. Well,
- 28:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna organized that when the two brothers names have
- 28:07Speaker 1: not been released, but I have them. Is the two
- 28:12Speaker 1: Africans that did the work? Is I follow and I
- 28:17Speaker 1: go down? Two brothers, I'll follow and I'll go down. Yeah,
- 28:24Speaker 1: it's gone, all right, thank you. I'm gonna get jumped
- 28:28Speaker 1: on on Saturday night, dude, and I won't double meat
- 28:34Speaker 1: on my sand That's it for church complaints. Coming up
- 28:39Speaker 1: in the top of the hour entertainment news right after
- 28:42Speaker 1: what can I say one last thing? Yes, I want
- 28:46Speaker 1: I want my news in velvet. I don't you're listening
- 28:53Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after
- 28:58Speaker 1: the hour. We're going to talk talk about the tragic
- 29:01Speaker 1: news about Nipsey Hustle, who was shot and killed at
- 29:03Speaker 1: his store in Los Angeles yesterday. But uh yeah, it
- 29:08Speaker 1: was really horrible. But right now we're gonna switch gears
- 29:12Speaker 1: here and talk about the fiftieth annual NAACP Image Awards
- 29:16Speaker 1: that was this past Saturday. That were this past Saturday
- 29:19Speaker 1: in Hollywood. It was hosted by Anthony Anderson. We have
- 29:23Speaker 1: to say, Steve Da Da Da, congratulations to you. You
- 29:28Speaker 1: won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Game Show Host
- 29:33Speaker 1: for Family Few that home h Thank you. That's really good.
- 29:44Speaker 1: That was big man, you know who notified me as
- 29:46Speaker 1: soon as it happened. Roland Martin. Oh wow, And I
- 29:50Speaker 1: think I was on a plane or I was in
- 29:52Speaker 1: the car heading to the plane. That was it Thursday night?
- 29:57Speaker 1: Was it Thursday night? Oh? When you were leave? But
- 30:00Speaker 1: when was the Image Awards Saturday night? Saturday night? Oh? Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: I was, I was, I was. I was at the function.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, just doing something Saturday night. Yeah, So thank
- 30:16Speaker 1: you very much. He was big. You know. The Image
- 30:18Speaker 1: Awards really do mean a lot to me. They really
- 30:20Speaker 1: really do. Man. I cherished those more than the immage
- 30:23Speaker 1: that I get. And I mean that seriously. They they
- 30:28Speaker 1: all over my office. Wow, I love those Okay, and
- 30:33Speaker 1: congratulations again you won for family feuds, so look at you.

- 30:43Speaker 1: go ahead, yes, yes, well deserved. I think Blackish. I
- 30:47Speaker 1: love Blackish. One for Outstanding Comedy Series. What a brilliant series. Yeah,
- 30:54Speaker 1: R and B Newcomer LM one Outstanding Album and jay
- 30:57Speaker 1: Z won the President's Award, and Beyonce was named Entertainer
- 31:03Speaker 1: of the Year. And then Black Panther, Oh, black Panther,
- 31:07Speaker 1: Black Panther won everything everything. Yeah, we're kinda forever. So
- 31:17Speaker 1: now we're gonna talk about more about Amari Hardwick when
- 31:21Speaker 1: he kissed Beyonce at thirty four after the hour. We
- 31:24Speaker 1: will talk more about that. But first, Steve, you said
- 31:27Speaker 1: you've already spoken to Chris rock. Um. He ignored the
- 31:30Speaker 1: no Jesse Smollett jokes. Rule ye take a listen to this.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Guess I gotta present an award. They said, no Jesse
- 31:41Speaker 1: Smollette jokes. I know, I know what a waste of
- 31:47Speaker 1: light skin. You know, you know what I could do
- 31:52Speaker 1: with that light skin that Curly had. My career would
- 31:58Speaker 1: be a running Hollywood. Um, that's no no, no, just
- 32:15Speaker 1: what the hell was he thinking? From now? I never know?
- 32:22Speaker 1: Just you're Jesse. From now on, you don't even get
- 32:25Speaker 1: to you no more that you was respects. You aren't
- 32:33Speaker 1: getting no respect from me. I was just and you know,
- 32:42Speaker 1: but you know, no, Jesse swallowed jokes. But you know,
- 32:45Speaker 1: I mean it's human, man, I mean, you know, and
- 32:47Speaker 1: people get tight about it. But man, I mean, it's
- 32:50Speaker 1: the obvious thing. It's on everybody's mind. And what was
- 32:53Speaker 1: they laughing at? They were laughing right at the joke. Yeah, no,
- 32:57Speaker 1: they was holly all right, Steve, We got to move
- 33:02Speaker 1: on and get to the headlines. Yeah, all right, ladies
- 33:04Speaker 1: and gentleman, miss a and trip, thank you very much. Anne.
- 33:08Speaker 1: This is a trip with the news. Former Vice President
- 33:10Speaker 1: Joe Biden, they're all talking about this one, responding to
- 33:13Speaker 1: allegations that he once kissed a Nevada politician on the
- 33:16Speaker 1: back of her head on a hair, saying that he's
- 33:18Speaker 1: offered handshakes, he's offered hugs expressions of affection through the years,
- 33:22Speaker 1: but that he never acted inappropriately. Former Nevada Assemblywoman Lucy
- 33:26Speaker 1: Flores published an essay in which she said that in
- 33:29Speaker 1: twenty fourteen, while she was riding for lieutenant governor that
- 33:31Speaker 1: Biden kissed her on the back of their head. Never
- 33:34Speaker 1: do I claim that this was that rises to the
- 33:37Speaker 1: level of a sexual assault or anything of that nature.
- 33:40Speaker 1: What I am saying is that it's completely inappropriate, that
- 33:44Speaker 1: it does not belong in any kind of a professional setting,
- 33:47Speaker 1: much less in politics, and that is something that we
- 33:51Speaker 1: should consider when we are talking about the background of
- 33:54Speaker 1: a person who is considering running for presidents. By the way,
- 33:57Speaker 1: Lucy Flores is a Democrat. Meanwhile, Biden, who's close to
- 34:00Speaker 1: announcing a run for the presidency, says quote, I may
- 34:02Speaker 1: not recall these moments the same way. I may be
- 34:05Speaker 1: surprised at what I hear, but we have arrived at
- 34:07Speaker 1: an important time when women feel they can and should
- 34:10Speaker 1: relate their experiences and men should pay attention, and I will.
- 34:14Speaker 1: President Trump is threatening to cut a to Guatemala or
- 34:17Speaker 1: Salvador and Honduras, accusing those three nations of sending up
- 34:20Speaker 1: the caravans of migrants that have made their way from
- 34:22Speaker 1: Central America through Mexico's southern border, and now Trump's were
- 34:25Speaker 1: neewing his threat to completely close the US southern border,
- 34:28Speaker 1: despite warnings that shutting it down could wreak havoc on
- 34:31Speaker 1: the US economy. By the way, as the host of
- 34:34Speaker 1: the show Fox and Friends discussed all of this, the
- 34:37Speaker 1: chiron or the words that you know go across the
- 34:39Speaker 1: screen read Trump cuts USA to three Mexican countries. Of course,
- 34:45Speaker 1: there are no three Mexican countries. So Fox later issued
- 34:48Speaker 1: a statement saying, quote, we just want to make clear
- 34:50Speaker 1: that the funding is being cut off to three Central
- 34:54Speaker 1: American countries, and we apologize for the era. Before the
- 34:57Speaker 1: apology came to there were a lot of jokes on
- 34:58Speaker 1: the Twitter verse about Far and the kinds of people
- 35:00Speaker 1: that the right wing network hires. The Democrat led House
- 35:03Speaker 1: of Representatives voted to challenge the new pregnant Pentagon policy
- 35:06Speaker 1: that bands transgender people from enlisting and those already in
- 35:09Speaker 1: the military from serving openly. Meanwhile, US immigration officials releasing
- 35:13Speaker 1: a number of Central American asylum seekers into the US
- 35:17Speaker 1: into a pop up detention center as far as in
- 35:20Speaker 1: Texas say these people are not breaking immigration law. They
- 35:22Speaker 1: are lawfully seeking asylum. The US Department of Housing and
- 35:26Speaker 1: Urban Development, or hut seeking, suing Facebook. Suing Facebook for
- 35:29Speaker 1: letting real estate companies choose who sees ads for housing
- 35:33Speaker 1: based on race and gender. Top to the weekend box
- 35:36Speaker 1: office was Dumbly Dumbo made forty five million dollars. Jordan
- 35:43Speaker 1: Peel's horror flick Us came in number two, and it's
- 35:46Speaker 1: going to rain all over the country today. Actually, to
- 35:50Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Mourning Hill, you're listening to the string show
- 35:56Speaker 1: Boil Boy guys some really sad news. Grammy nominated hip
- 35:59Speaker 1: Hop as an activist. Community activist. Nipsey Hustle was killed
- 36:03Speaker 1: on Sunday afternoon and a shooting right outside a store,
- 36:06Speaker 1: a Marathon clothing store. It's on Slawson in Los Angeles.
- 36:10Speaker 1: It left two other people wounded. Nipsey grew up in
- 36:13Speaker 1: gang culture. However, Nipsey was incredibly involved in his local
- 36:17Speaker 1: community in which he worked to prevent gang violence. He
- 36:20Speaker 1: helped spear a major art initiative in his home neighborhood
- 36:23Speaker 1: called Destination Crenshaw. Nipsey was doing good work. Nipsey was
- 36:28Speaker 1: thirty three years old. Lebron James, fifty Cents, Steph Curry,
- 36:32Speaker 1: Pharrell Williams, all of a hip hop community, fans and
- 36:35Speaker 1: just people everywhere just are praying for his family. And
- 36:39Speaker 1: for his fiance, actress Lauren London, and his children. You
- 36:45Speaker 1: know what I see, here's a part, you know, and
- 36:48Speaker 1: everybody's has their say, so I mean, what can I say?
- 36:52Speaker 1: This going to be as profound as some of the things.
- 36:55Speaker 1: As other people have said, the obvious thing is his
- 36:59Speaker 1: sick is sickening. Is sickening for his family, for his children,
- 37:05Speaker 1: his wife, his fans, is sickening for the culture. But
- 37:11Speaker 1: you know, it's really sickening. And I don't want you
- 37:14Speaker 1: out and I want to say this and feel how
- 37:16Speaker 1: you want to feel. Listen to me. Man as a community,
- 37:22Speaker 1: when stuff like this happens in our community, that old
- 37:26Speaker 1: ain't no snitching thing, that is not for you, that
- 37:31Speaker 1: has nothing to do with it. We need to bring
- 37:33Speaker 1: these people who did this to this man and his
- 37:36Speaker 1: family and his fans and his friends and his love was.
- 37:40Speaker 1: We need to bring it to justice. We need to
- 37:43Speaker 1: help solve some of these crimes that happen man so
- 37:46Speaker 1: senselessly in this community. And we got to stop this
- 37:50Speaker 1: no snitching policy. It don't make no damn sense. Snitching
- 37:55Speaker 1: was created for criminals from the philosophy of if you
- 38:00Speaker 1: gonna do the time, if you're gonna do the crime,
- 38:02Speaker 1: you gotta do the time, and that was what it
- 38:05Speaker 1: was for. Now what happened is all of these people
- 38:08Speaker 1: got because in prison, if you snitch, you you know
- 38:10Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. Right, But when these people get free,
- 38:13Speaker 1: they have bought this same philosophy back to the neighborhoods
- 38:16Speaker 1: that should not apply to us. We have got to
- 38:20Speaker 1: report these incidents. Somebody saw something in the front of
- 38:26Speaker 1: this man's store, in front of somebody saw something and
- 38:32Speaker 1: guess what, somebody knows something. Because you don't do this
- 38:35Speaker 1: and don't tell nobody whoever this driver was. Somebody knows something. Man,
- 38:40Speaker 1: Somebody need to come forward because it's crazy. Man. There's
- 38:43Speaker 1: got to be justice in this, and I want the
- 38:45Speaker 1: same uproar. Y'all got about this from the police department,
- 38:49Speaker 1: as you got about Jesse just because you think he lied.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Now everybody coming forward with that? What about this? Now?
- 38:56Speaker 1: All right, Steve, We're gonna move on and coming up
- 39:00Speaker 1: next at thirty four after the hour, actor Omari Hardwick
- 39:04Speaker 1: is reading receiving a bit of backlash for kissing Beyonce
- 39:07Speaker 1: at the NCP Image Awards. We'll talk about that right
- 39:11Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show well. Congratulations going out
- 39:17Speaker 1: to Beyonce. She was named Entertainer of the Year at
- 39:20Speaker 1: the fiftieth annual NACP Image Awards Saturday Night Now. During
- 39:26Speaker 1: her speech, Beyonce graciously thanked her fellow nominees in the
- 39:31Speaker 1: category Take a listen. Okay, Regina King, I love you
- 39:35Speaker 1: so much. You've taught us patience, persistence, and how to
- 39:40Speaker 1: be masterful in your craft. Chadwick Boseman is teaching children
- 39:45Speaker 1: to dream and to see themselves as kings. Lebron James
- 39:50Speaker 1: has taught us to strength that strength of all forms
- 39:53Speaker 1: and leading by example and providing education for our kids.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Ryan cool Good tells our stories in a way that
- 40:01Speaker 1: celebrates our history, improves that we do have power at
- 40:04Speaker 1: the box office. And I'm honored to be included among
- 40:08Speaker 1: all of you and to be a part of a vital, thriving,
- 40:12Speaker 1: beautiful community. Thank you so much INACP God bless you.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I hope y'all had a great night. Thank you. It
- 40:20Speaker 1: was very nice speech, very gracious, very gracious, Yeah, very gracious. Yeah.
- 40:25Speaker 1: She's always that, uh huh, yeah, she's always been in
- 40:30Speaker 1: the business. You're absolute, all right. And then to okay,
- 40:34Speaker 1: Steve So. On a related note, while at the awards,
- 40:37Speaker 1: Amari Hardwick we know him, of course as Ghost from Power.
- 40:41Speaker 1: He's receiving backlash now for kissing Beyonce in front of
- 40:44Speaker 1: her husband, jay Z. So While greeting Beyonce, Omari went
- 40:49Speaker 1: in for two kisses, including one near the mouth, and
- 40:52Speaker 1: now Amari is getting backlash. People are tweeting two kisses
- 40:56Speaker 1: too much. A handshake would have done the job, and
- 40:58Speaker 1: others are saying women don't need to be grab hugged,
- 41:01Speaker 1: or kissed unless you were their husband, our boyfriend, unless
- 41:05Speaker 1: you were their husband or boyfriend. It wasn't bad. I
- 41:07Speaker 1: saw this man. It wasn't bad at all. I saw it.
- 41:11Speaker 1: It wasn't bad. He wasn't being just older man. Let
- 41:14Speaker 1: me say something that I know jay Z. We're not
- 41:20Speaker 1: like close friends or nothing, but I know him. We
- 41:22Speaker 1: always have respectful conversations with one another. If you want
- 41:26Speaker 1: to know a man, jay Z, Sean Carter is a man.
- 41:32Speaker 1: If it was a problem, y'all, ain't got to be tweeting.
- 41:38Speaker 1: You ain't got He would be stepping to him now.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Even if he didn't see it, he would stepped to
- 41:43Speaker 1: him now. He a man, y'all tripping man, Quit worrying
- 41:47Speaker 1: about that, Amara, Harard? Can you think he crazy? Gray?
- 41:50Speaker 1: Do you really think this brother is crazy? I don't
- 41:54Speaker 1: think so. It was respectful. He hugged up, he picked it, packed,
- 41:58Speaker 1: and he packed again. That's it in Europe. I hate
- 42:02Speaker 1: to tell y'all this, but it's a double kiss to everybody,
- 42:06Speaker 1: kiss each cheek, even many. At the moment we do something,
- 42:10Speaker 1: we ain't got nothing else to do. He got a problem.
- 42:14Speaker 1: That's one kiss to the one pack. It's a simple hand.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Shin't shouldn'body to kis U? Simple? Man? Man, get man,
- 42:20Speaker 1: go somewhere, Please find something else right there. But you know, man,
- 42:28Speaker 1: her fans are just fierce. Yeah, and I don't want
- 42:31Speaker 1: to say nothing about that. It's coming for you. That's real.
- 42:42Speaker 1: They answers real. No, No, they're an actual be high
- 42:48Speaker 1: not to be played. Yeah. Yeah, So I ain't talking
- 42:52Speaker 1: about them, but I'm just talking about people in general,
- 42:54Speaker 1: you know what I mean? You know, look, it's okay, man,
- 42:57Speaker 1: and they protect that girl. And man, I wish I
- 43:00Speaker 1: had off, No I need. I don't call it something that.
- 43:05Speaker 1: What was everybody commenting on Harvey's hundreds? Yeah, no, no,
- 43:12Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna want money. It was harmless, completely harmless,
- 43:20Speaker 1: major respect because I'm gonna tell you it ain't a
- 43:23Speaker 1: dude in this business that don't understand what Sean Carter
- 43:27Speaker 1: is from. Ain't nobody for disrespect this man an this
- 43:32Speaker 1: guy's makeup, who don't know, who don't know? Dog? Come on, man,
- 43:36Speaker 1: this ain't no punk ass student here in front of
- 43:38Speaker 1: this world. This dude is the real deal. Now, ain't
- 43:42Speaker 1: what you want? Everybody? Relax? Yeah, I chill pill right
- 43:49Speaker 1: there in front of everybody. All right, Well, uh, it
- 43:55Speaker 1: is April Fool's Day, and the nephew is right here.
- 44:00Speaker 1: He's in the building, right here, right here, with today's
- 44:02Speaker 1: frank phone call. We'll hear it right after this. You're
- 44:05Speaker 1: listening to morning show coming up at the top of
- 44:10Speaker 1: the hour, about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter
- 44:13Speaker 1: for today. Subject Doggie style lifestyle, not what you think.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Downy boy, down boy, down boy, down boy, down boy. Okay.
- 44:26Speaker 1: It is April Fool's Day today, though, and the nephew
- 44:28Speaker 1: is here with today's frank phone call. What you got now?
- 44:33Speaker 1: The fool is here? Today is today? It's your day, baby,
- 44:36Speaker 1: wedding and a funeral. Thing. Wedding and a funeral. Yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 1: let that all sulky it right there? Yes, and a funeral.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Run that kid, quick funeral. Hello to Ryan. Hi, I'm
- 45:00Speaker 1: trying to go Ryan, Ryan, how you doing. Hey, I'm good.
- 45:03Speaker 1: I'm a second. This is Josh. Josh was over at
- 45:06Speaker 1: the I want to be officials at the church where
- 45:08Speaker 1: you guys are getting married tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, how you doing? Man?
- 45:12Speaker 1: They want to thank y'all for that too, man, we'll
- 45:14Speaker 1: appreciate it, sure. Yeah. Well, we definitely hope to make
- 45:17Speaker 1: you a member here soon or later, since you guys
- 45:19Speaker 1: are getting married. You know, hey, man, you know I'm
- 45:21Speaker 1: trying to get this worst schedule change up. You know
- 45:23Speaker 1: what I'm saying. They got me working on Sundays now, man,
- 45:25Speaker 1: So soon as I tweaked at the mood that around
- 45:28Speaker 1: a little bit, I'll be there. Okay, listen, we have
- 45:30Speaker 1: a bit of a situation that's come up. We had
- 45:32Speaker 1: some problems and miscommunication and it's definitely been on the outside.
- 45:37Speaker 1: They had your name, Ryan down here with your phone
- 45:40Speaker 1: number as well as you're soon to be wife Sonya.
- 45:43Speaker 1: They had her name here, but we didn't want to
- 45:45Speaker 1: call her with this. We wanted to just reach out
- 45:48Speaker 1: and talk to you and see if it just makes
- 45:50Speaker 1: you aware of what's going on. Okay, what's what's going on? Man,
- 45:53Speaker 1: there's been a mix up on scheduling. I don't know
- 45:55Speaker 1: if you know such an older make she passed away
- 45:59Speaker 1: a week ago old and you're not you're not a
- 46:01Speaker 1: member of the church, so you wouldn't know it. But
- 46:03Speaker 1: she's one of the one of the oldest members here
- 46:05Speaker 1: at the church since the older maid passed away. And
- 46:08Speaker 1: what's going on is you all's wedding is tomorrow at
- 46:12Speaker 1: twelve o'clock, right, but the actual funeral is at three
- 46:18Speaker 1: o'clock here at the church. Okay, uh, but Shae began,
- 46:22Speaker 1: Brother Josh Josh, okay, look at Brother Josh. Um hey, man,
- 46:28Speaker 1: we we we already got this thing in motion. Man,
- 46:30Speaker 1: we didn't stand now they have been a two hundred differentations. Man,
- 46:33Speaker 1: I mean blessed old man and and and I understand that,
- 46:38Speaker 1: but but but I mean, you know, she's there's no
- 46:40Speaker 1: way we could have moved it around down the figures problem.
- 46:43Speaker 1: The funeral home is bringing the casket first thing in
- 46:46Speaker 1: the morning. So what I want, what I wanted to
- 46:48Speaker 1: make you aware of, and I didn't want you to
- 46:50Speaker 1: tell your wife this. But the actual casket will be
- 46:53Speaker 1: in the Saint ary, but we will have it. Hold
- 46:56Speaker 1: hold hold of man, are you serious now? Look at
- 46:59Speaker 1: y'all need to move this round. I don't know what
- 47:01Speaker 1: y'all gonna do. Y'all have a fellowship hall in the
- 47:03Speaker 1: back or something like that, werena, Ryan. The only place
- 47:07Speaker 1: we can actually put the casket, and if we didn't
- 47:09Speaker 1: put it there is in the actual room that you'll
- 47:12Speaker 1: you'll soon to be wife would be changing in. That's
- 47:14Speaker 1: the only placed about my wife infortually changing the room
- 47:18Speaker 1: when the dead body. But you can't even what it was.
- 47:21Speaker 1: And you know what, I understood that that's the first
- 47:23Speaker 1: thing I thought of, I said, And that's still put
- 47:25Speaker 1: the casket the way it goes for the people, and
- 47:28Speaker 1: we're gonna cover it up. And see, basically, you actually didn't.
- 47:33Speaker 1: But I can't even believe you calling me, would man?
- 47:35Speaker 1: Look at it and excuse my french man. Yeah, I
- 47:38Speaker 1: knew I need to get back in the church, I
- 47:39Speaker 1: really do. But right now, Doug, this ain't going down
- 47:42Speaker 1: like this. Man. We didn't already paid the money and first.
- 47:45Speaker 1: First of all, First of all, you know she I
- 47:48Speaker 1: don't even feel like she may had to pay, you know,
- 47:51Speaker 1: to hold no winding over a hunt hurt where she
- 47:54Speaker 1: paid times a. That's that's the first thing. You know.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I ain't like that from the jumping, but I wouldn't
- 47:58Speaker 1: hear it when winning, because she wont her past to
- 48:00Speaker 1: marry us. And now you got to near to tell
- 48:02Speaker 1: me that y'all will arrange something. That funeral gonna happen
- 48:05Speaker 1: the same day as my wedding and my wife's got
- 48:07Speaker 1: to get dressed in the room with a dead body. Well, no,
- 48:10Speaker 1: we're not gonna put it in there, bro, Like I say,
- 48:13Speaker 1: I'm putting that body first thing in the morning. I'm
- 48:15Speaker 1: gonna put that body in the right there in front
- 48:18Speaker 1: of the fullpit, and we're gonna cover it. Now, what
- 48:21Speaker 1: you're getting out of is you get more flowers, because
- 48:24Speaker 1: there's gonna be flowers from the funeral. So I'm thinking
- 48:26Speaker 1: that's probably gonna be a little bit of a person
- 48:28Speaker 1: point I just wanted you to be on. It's probably
- 48:31Speaker 1: gonna be more people than you think because some of
- 48:34Speaker 1: the people that's gonna be at your wedding. It's really
- 48:36Speaker 1: for the funeral. He hold of, man, are you serious
- 48:39Speaker 1: right now? I mean, look at doctor. I didn't paid
- 48:42Speaker 1: for the wedding happened at this church, man, okay, ain't
- 48:45Speaker 1: And no disrespect to the lady that is passed, called
- 48:48Speaker 1: bless her family. I ain't planning to not putting no
- 48:51Speaker 1: dead body, having no funeral as my wedding. Man, that's crazy.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Down on that church too, sir. She's a member of
- 48:59Speaker 1: the church too. Hey, I don't give a I don't
- 49:02Speaker 1: being a member of the church. Man. I've been paid
- 49:04Speaker 1: for this wind and it's gonna happen tomorrow. Man, you
- 49:07Speaker 1: my six And of putting the dead body at my wedding,
- 49:14Speaker 1: run run, I mean, no distanspect. But the woman has passed.
- 49:18Speaker 1: She is not gonna get up. I mean, what does
- 49:21Speaker 1: the pout. The problem is y'all called me with this
- 49:24Speaker 1: man the day before my wind and we didn't schedule
- 49:26Speaker 1: there six months ago. I got to spill twenty five
- 49:28Speaker 1: thirty thousand dollars on this wid Okay, and you're gonna
- 49:31Speaker 1: tell me that we got to share our wind with
- 49:33Speaker 1: a funeral. But the hiller's won't with you? Man, something,
- 49:36Speaker 1: do you want to have your winning at this church.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I'll pay for them, and which we won't. I'm having
- 49:41Speaker 1: the wind, okay, I tell you what. Lift it by
- 49:43Speaker 1: the bit in the brd I wrote in the right
- 49:45Speaker 1: out to the streets playing. Y'all just stot things in front,
- 49:47Speaker 1: and and and and throw flowers like throwing rice. But
- 49:50Speaker 1: we're gonna have a wind inside the same year tomorrow.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I promise you that I can't. I can't assure you
- 49:56Speaker 1: that it won't be. I have no other place to
- 49:59Speaker 1: put the body. Okay, well i'll bet y'all find someone
- 50:01Speaker 1: to put it. If I get that a march. It's
- 50:03Speaker 1: about it there. It's gonna be a couple of about
- 50:05Speaker 1: it in there. I ain't got two choices to move
- 50:08Speaker 1: that funeral or to reimburse me back this thirty thousand
- 50:11Speaker 1: dollars out an hour to spend those only two choices.
- 50:13Speaker 1: I want to hear about it. Meet me at the
- 50:15Speaker 1: front door to night with a thirty thousand dollars cash
- 50:17Speaker 1: hier check. All we say to has winning up in
- 50:19Speaker 1: that morrow morning. You heard me. I ain't playing. I
- 50:22Speaker 1: ain't playing at all. No jokes that's wrong with y'all. Man.
- 50:26Speaker 1: You can do something else, I understand, that I don't
- 50:29Speaker 1: want to from you. Man. No, all I'm saying is
- 50:32Speaker 1: it's gonna be a winning at this church more without
- 50:35Speaker 1: dead about it. That's all I'm saying. Push it to
- 50:38Speaker 1: the band. Man, There's there's one more, a bit of
- 50:41Speaker 1: an issue that I need to tell you. Also, what
- 50:43Speaker 1: can be worse than a dead about it? What issue
- 50:45Speaker 1: could be worse? Dead boy? That we the man the issue, sir,
- 50:48Speaker 1: that it's worse than the dead body is. This is

- 52:47Speaker 1: FM and click submit Strawberry Letter. It's just that easy.
- 52:51Speaker 1: It's just that simple. We could be reading your letter
- 52:54Speaker 1: live on the air, just like we're gonna read this
- 52:56Speaker 1: one today. Okay, buckle up, hold on tight, we got
- 53:00Speaker 1: it for you here. It is a Strawberry letta subject
- 53:04Speaker 1: doggie style lifestyle Pere Stephen Shirley. I am a twenty
- 53:09Speaker 1: seven year old woman and I just moved in with
- 53:12Speaker 1: my boyfriend. We've been dating for one year and we
- 53:15Speaker 1: have a great relationship. But of course there's an issue,
- 53:20Speaker 1: or I wouldn't be writing you. I love making is
- 53:23Speaker 1: very good, but we are never alone. When we're intimate.
- 53:28Speaker 1: There's always four extra eyes very close by staring at us.
- 53:34Speaker 1: It's his dog. He has a Doberman and a German Shepherd,
- 53:39Speaker 1: and these dogs are very spoiled and run the house.
- 53:42Speaker 1: When my boyfriend and I get in the bed, they
- 53:45Speaker 1: jump into. Since I moved in, my boyfriend has forced
- 53:49Speaker 1: them to sleep on the floor next to our bed.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Since I didn't want them in our bed. I have
- 53:54Speaker 1: asked them. I have asked him to put the dogs
- 53:57Speaker 1: beds in the guest room so they can sleep in
- 53:59Speaker 1: there at night. But he says I'm being inconsiderate and silly.
- 54:03Speaker 1: He says they're dogs and they don't understand what we're
- 54:06Speaker 1: doing when we're intimate. But it creeps me out. They
- 54:09Speaker 1: always come right up to the bed and stare at
- 54:12Speaker 1: us the entire time. I have asked my boyfriend over
- 54:16Speaker 1: and over to close our bedroom door and keep them
- 54:19Speaker 1: out while we have sex, but he says they will
- 54:22Speaker 1: wind the entire time and spoil the mood. I think
- 54:26Speaker 1: this is very weird. I can't enjoy sex with these
- 54:29Speaker 1: two big dogs breathing on us. How can I get
- 54:32Speaker 1: them out of our bedroom? Or maybe I should go
- 54:35Speaker 1: and let the dog stay. I didn't sign up for
- 54:37Speaker 1: this doggie style life. Please help. Wow. Yeah, I agree
- 54:43Speaker 1: with you. This is weird. Okay, watching is watching. I
- 54:47Speaker 1: don't care if it is dogs watching. I don't care
- 54:50Speaker 1: unless you're into that sort of thing, and clearly you're not.
- 54:54Speaker 1: This is weird. I mean, I think your man should
- 54:57Speaker 1: definitely put his dogs in another room or give them
- 55:00Speaker 1: something to do while you guys are doing it. I
- 55:02Speaker 1: think that's only normal. I mean, I know people love
- 55:06Speaker 1: their dogs and they're crazy about the dogs, and they
- 55:08Speaker 1: treat them like people and all of that, but this
- 55:11Speaker 1: right here is ridiculous. You're uncomfortable, you know, it makes
- 55:16Speaker 1: you feel creeped out and everything. I think he's being
- 55:19Speaker 1: disrespectful to you, putting the dogs above you. I think
- 55:23Speaker 1: he is, you know, because since you're officially moved in
- 55:28Speaker 1: now you know, I know, it hasn't been that long.
- 55:30Speaker 1: It's only been about a month or so, you say.
- 55:32Speaker 1: But guess what, it's your house too, so you get
- 55:35Speaker 1: to say something about, you know, how you want your
- 55:38Speaker 1: house to be run. You're the woman of the house.
- 55:40Speaker 1: That means you shouldn't be uncomfortable in your own home.
- 55:43Speaker 1: You shouldn't be uncomfortable in this relationship. It sounds like
- 55:46Speaker 1: he's disregarding your feelings. You don't want the dogs in
- 55:50Speaker 1: there during intimacy. He doesn't seem to have a problem
- 55:53Speaker 1: with it. Is this a deal breaker to you? If
- 55:57Speaker 1: it is, you're gonna have to keep it moving Steve, Well, well,
- 56:02Speaker 1: well let me just say this right here, if we
- 56:08Speaker 1: really in here, tell about some damn dogs. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 56:13Speaker 1: there what we're talking about in the bedroom dog now
- 56:17Speaker 1: twenty seven year old ladies. She'd moved in with a boyfriend.
- 56:22Speaker 1: They've been dating for a year. They got a great relationship.
- 56:25Speaker 1: But like she said in her letter, you know, something
- 56:28Speaker 1: gotta be wrong that I wouldn't be writing y'all. I
- 56:31Speaker 1: love making this very good. But we're never alone. It's
- 56:35Speaker 1: always extra eyes very close by. And it's two damn dogs. Now,
- 56:42Speaker 1: these ain't chas and you know, you know shit sues,
- 56:48Speaker 1: and these ain't little picking knees deesus German shepherds and Dobermans. Yeah,
- 56:57Speaker 1: these two damn big ass dogs now all up in
- 57:01Speaker 1: the here. And you got these big dogs in your
- 57:03Speaker 1: house and you want them in the other room. Now
- 57:06Speaker 1: you had your you had your boyfriend kick him out
- 57:09Speaker 1: the bed. I didn't understand that they're getting up in
- 57:12Speaker 1: the bed now they ain't Why we stay get in
- 57:14Speaker 1: the floor, his sheets, his best bread steak. Because she
- 57:19Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. Dogs smell like dogs.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I don't kill who the hell you bathe them every day?
- 57:26Speaker 1: Dogs still smell like dogs. Now as soon as you
- 57:31Speaker 1: bathe them, they're okay. But don't let the ad run
- 57:35Speaker 1: outside and come back in. They goes outside and gets
- 57:39Speaker 1: a lot of dogs on them, and now they back
- 57:42Speaker 1: in the house. So now you want them in the
- 57:45Speaker 1: other room. You ask him to do that. He says,
- 57:50Speaker 1: you're being inconsiderate. Wow, okay, Now how old is your man?
- 57:55Speaker 1: And is he stupid? Don't you think they're on the
- 57:59Speaker 1: same age. How old is your man? And is he
- 58:03Speaker 1: stupid to tell your woman you being inconsiderate? Now, Shirley
- 58:07Speaker 1: said it right, because you're the woman of the house.
- 58:10Speaker 1: You can't be uncomfortable in your own home ever. Ever.
- 58:17Speaker 1: A woman should never be uncomfortable in her home. Ever.
- 58:23Speaker 1: I got news for you. A man should never be
- 58:27Speaker 1: uncomfortable in their home ever. And your children deal with it.
- 58:37Speaker 1: But even a child wants to come home and be comfortable.
- 58:42Speaker 1: I don't care if it's just in their room. Everybody
- 58:44Speaker 1: wants a place where they can go and be comfortable.
- 58:47Speaker 1: But the dogs can't have the run of the house.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Shirley's absolutely right. You deserve to have comfort in your
- 58:55Speaker 1: home and you can get it. But now he's saying
- 59:02Speaker 1: all they do and is stand. You didn't ask him
- 59:05Speaker 1: to put the dogs in the grass room, but he said,
- 59:06Speaker 1: you didn't consider it. And silly, Wow, you're silly. You're
- 59:13Speaker 1: talking about put the dogs get and you silly, he said,
- 59:18Speaker 1: they dogs, and they don't understand what we're doing. But
- 59:22Speaker 1: they wondering, though they might not know exactly, but they
- 59:28Speaker 1: damn show wondering. Their heads is tilted. Oh, their head
- 59:34Speaker 1: is cocked to one side. Now, what your damn problem is?
- 59:38Speaker 1: It's dim damn dogs. They big dogs. Now, if y'all
- 59:43Speaker 1: don't get them out of that room, they're gonna eventually
- 59:47Speaker 1: what now that they jumped up on the bed anyway,
- 59:54Speaker 1: not then, I'm just gonna tell you what's gonna happen
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: into this. If we don't get the dogs out, they
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: gotta go. I'm gonna just can I wake up the
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: other night with your werman licking your hand? Man, it
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: freaks you out? God, damn this shout him through that
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: seting like Tommy Jay and a cat call m all right.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: We'll have farst two of Steve's response coming up in
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. Subject of the Strawberry letter
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: today doggie style lifestyle. Right after this you're listening to
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: morning show. All right, come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letters.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Steve alright, seven year old with her Man Tyler letter
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: is what's your doggie style lifestyle? Wow? She got moved
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: in with a boyfriend. Been there for you? That the
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: dogs is getting on the nose because when they intimate,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: they ain't never ruined by their self. Day in the
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: watch cry Now she wants the dogs to be put out.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: He didn't told a girl he ain't putting them out
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: because she being inconsiderate and sitting what you think the
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: dog thinking? The dog don't even know what's happening. I
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: promise you that big asses wondering what is all is moaning?
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: What is all? Is driving? Why y'all naked? You're fitting
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: to heal someone? Next thing, you know, you're gonna have
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: a dog moving in clothes because dogs like to sniff. Now,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I'm just telling you facts about dogs. That's their primary sense.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: It's not feel, it's smell and taste. Those are the
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: two things that drive a dog. They gonna eventually comes
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: sniffing around. Now I'm a little edgy when the dog
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: is sniffing me with my clothes on. Yes, now I'm
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: somewhere ass nicking. What I can't have is that little
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: cold lass nose touch me. You know the nose be cold. Yeah,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you on your back and all of a sudden you
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: feel this little cold dot on your ass. We really
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: need this visual. Yeah, you need this visual because we
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: gotta get these dogs out this rule. Now I'm trying
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: to help this lady wrote this letter. Now you think
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: you're tripping right now. That's because they ain't moved in
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: to participate, but them dogs is fitting to participate. Oh
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: we played. They thank y'all in that planning. They're gonna
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: want on that. That's gonna start with the breathing. Then
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: it's gonna go to sniffing. They're gonna get the smelling
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: up round. They're gonna be smelling your breath. Feither. Now,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: he might be all right with that because you know
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: how it probably had a little cold nose on his
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: ass before I'm telling you he has. He'd been in
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: that house with these dogs. You inconsider you silly, because yeah,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: he comes. They've been in the bed before she moved in.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: He's slapperty two, big ass dog. Damn staking my damn dog.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Smell like a dog. He got bad breath, man, Go
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: get away from me. There are a lot of dog lovers, Steve.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Let you can be a dog lover. This my joke.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: My joker is for people that ain't dog lovers. This,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: my joke is not fun. Dog lovers. You might not.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I don't think that's funny at all. But how high
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: it is to me? She says, they're very spoiled and
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: they run the house. Hell yeah, this spoiled they run
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the house. But now here, come on, see now we
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: didn't breathed and we'd a sniff. I ain't got nothing
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: to tell you said it wasn't next now okay, yeah,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: if we hadn't done all the breathing and all the sniffing.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Tell me what you have seen your dog do that
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: makes you uncomfortable? And every red body is uncomfortable with it,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: even a dog lover. How many times you've been sitting
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: up there eating your plate and you look over there
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and he gnash, it's going to town man, because Marjorie
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: loves dog. But damn bad. Sometimes we get in front
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: of that fireplace and ain't nobody looking, and Bad just
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: started looking everywhere, and now Marjorie don't want the damn
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: dog no more. Stop it. Bad and Bad be looking
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: up like what do stop? And I'm looking at him going,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: oh my god, is that the gentleman? Yeah? If I
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: could do that, you could do? What if I could
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: do what my dog dog? Go to myself, man, you
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: know the moments I would have been in hat. You're
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: so crazy, Steve? Where you and I ain't coming in today?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: What's happening. We're busy. I'm doing so so. Now I
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: ain't said nothing nasty. I'm not said nothing crude. I'm
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: allowing you to write your own joke on your way
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: to work. But we all know what our dogs do
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: that embarrass us. Yeah, well, he gonna walk up to
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you and really embarrass you. He said, wait a minute.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Oh oh, everybody got to oh, oh oh, everybody got
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: the ears out. Now, Oh, why we're doing first, He's
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: gonna start with Jess himself. Oh, there's what we're doing.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Dogs are smart. You've got to get these dogs out
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: of your bed room because eventually they're gonna want to
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: make a participate. Is this a deal breaker? I think
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: it is. Now here's what I think you could do,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: young ladies. This is I think you can solve the problem.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: You're going to have to issue an ultimate made them
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: either you put the dogs out of the bedroom and
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: get comfortable and make them get okay with being in
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: the room. They gonna learn to stop the whining. They're
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: gonna stop. And if you don't get them used to it,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: then you're gonna hear my wine and we're gonna see
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: which one of these you like better. The dogs wine
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: than of my wine, because my wining comes with consequences.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: I'm not making love anymore in front of these damn dogs.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I'm not doing it now. I want to be with you,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: but I'm not doing it anymore in front of these dogs. Period. Secondly,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: if that don't work, here comes the other ultimating. Either
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: you put the dogs out or I'll go out. Let
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: me go back to where I was until the dogs
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: can sleep on their own, because all you want to
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: say our privacy. You want the dogs sleeping in another room.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: You didn't ask the man to get rid of the dogs,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: You just ask them to move the dogs. He had
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: them when she moved in. So those are the ultimatums.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I can't do this anymore with these dogs. I'm uncomfortable.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Call me silly if you want to, But I tell
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: you who really gonna look silly? You? And there with
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: them damn dogs and y'all looking at each other. Now
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: they can lick theyself. Yeah, they gonna be fine. Hello,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: And can't you train dogs, Steve to do what you can?
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Train dogs to sleep alone and everything? Yeah? All right, guys,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Email us or instagram
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: us your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Now coming up in ten minutes, we'll talk about the
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: shocking and tragic death of hip hop star Nipsey Hustle.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Very
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: sad news. We've been talking about this all morning. Grammy
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: nominated hip hop artist and activist Nipsey Hustle was killed
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: on Sunday afternoon in a shooting outside of his store,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the Marathon Clothing Store on Slawson in Los Angeles. It
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: left two other people wounded. Uh. Nipsey grew up in
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: gang culture. However, he was incredibly involved in his local community,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: in which he worked to prevent gang violence. He helped
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: spear a major art initiative in his home neighborhood called
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Destination Crenshaw. But just a couple of hours before U,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Nipsey tweeted, having strong enemies is a blessing. Having strong
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: enemies is a blessing. He tweeted that right before he
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: was gunned down, he was thirty three years old. Um yeah,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: lebron j I I just don't. I'm so, I'm so
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: tired of our self, hatred of one another. I'm so
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: tired in my community, in our community, of how we
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: have devalued life to the point where we just taken it.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Something is, something's desperately wrong with us. We were We
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: live in a sick world, and our community suffers even
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: more sicknesses because of opportunity and exposure. But acts of
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: senseless violence like this, I mean man with no consideration
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: for human life, with no consideration of this man's children,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: no consideration of his wife, his mother, his family members,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: his friends, nothing. Man. We've gotten to the point where
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: we're so desensitized that we are doing this far too
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: frequently in our community. It's just and I and look,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I know what poverty does. You know, people say that
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: the root of all money is the root of all evil,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: the lack of money. It's the root of a lot
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: of evil that I've seen, the lack of it because
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: people get so much in despaired. Now, that's not all
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: poor people, though, So please don't get me wrong in that.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: So let me just make sure that I'm clear. It's
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I'm not saying because you're poor, you're violent.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: But in some people's quest to get money, they have
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: no problem perpetrate violence. It's what I'm saying. And I've
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: seen more poor people commit acts of violence in the
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: name of getting money, getting paid, That's all I'm saying.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: But enough is enough. But even in your act of
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: getting paid. And look, man, I understand what it is
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: to want money, I really really do. I want it
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: some desperately. I wanted some desperately, man, because I was
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: just sick of it. But not at the expense of
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: another human beings, lie, not at that. Not. I was
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: never that, not for money. And it's just sad, man,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: It's just really it's sad on so many levels. It
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: sends the wrong message to our young people. And you know,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: we this gang affiliation stuff, man, is one of the
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: most ridiculous things that we've done in our community. And
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: I'll just say it, and I've talked to a lot
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: of bangers and they know why I'll stand on this.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: It's it's so senseless. We're fighting over something we don't
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: even own, you know, own none of these streets. Most
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: of us don't own nothing on the street, you know.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: And then the people who do become homeowners are terrorized
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: in their own neighborhoods because gang bangers is out here
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: and making it unsafe to walk and go to school
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: and go to the store and go to church, you know, man,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: And we got these gangs out here that terrorize innocent people.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: You know, got people paying extortion money protection services. We're
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: just extorting, man. We just we just sick right now
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and not just And of course this is happening every
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: day to majority of the things that's happened is to
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: non famous people. It just gets an extra light. It
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: gets a light put on a period when it happens
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: to somebody that's quote unquote or celebrity or famous. But
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: this going down every day, y'all. This is going down
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: every day sowhere. Yeh sens very sad. Yeah, it's very sad.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I see my husband, he follows
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Nipsey hustling. He came home yesterday when the news broke.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: He was like, man, he was one of the good guys.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: He was making a difference. Yeah, man, you know, he
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: was like, this is senseless what we're doing to each other.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I mean, man, this kid, this kid had turned his
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: life around. Yeah, grew up in game culture and was
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: now I was doing everything in his power talking to
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: the red and the Blue side. Yeah. Now, this dude
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: was about it, man, And I don't even I never
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: don't know him personally anything, but just knowing what he
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: was about. But let me say this though, whatever he did,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: it didn't it didn't deserve this. Whatever your beef was,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: it wasn't this because he didn't kill you. Why you
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: kill him? Man? See you know, man, look, if we
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: were talking to an eye for an eye it do
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: you know how many how many less crimes it would be.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: But see, because most of the stuff we're doing it
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: it's it just overreacts so much. If you had a
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: beef with this brother that stopped it, Now you gonna
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: go to prison for the rest of your life. You
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: ain't her. You ain't her. You're gonna go to prison
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the rest of your life. And now some more families
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: is gonna suffer because it's it's some more mother's gonna
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: be missing. But the problem with Nipsey Hustle's mother, she
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: don't ever get to talk to her husband. At least
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: yours can come down there and see you on someone. Huh.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: That's sad. That's craziness, man, that's sad. It's crazy, is
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: what we do. Yeah, it's just we'in a dog space.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Mana you know your hearts are broken for Lauren. Man,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: you know what almost hurt? Man, this woman, father of
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: her child, dog, this woman, these kids? Yeah, Ovo what
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: still trying to find that, figure that out, whatever it is?
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: You know what is your monk? Ass getting ready to say, man,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: get out of here. All right? Well, uh coming up
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, we'll switch gears a
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: little bit and talk about the NCAA Final four. Tommy, Junior, Steve,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: it's set. We'll be back right after this. You're listening morning,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: all right, Charris on you men's final four. Nc's set, Man,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: it is set. The final flows here. Man, we got
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: you know something, Junior, what's up? I didn't see a
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: game I was on the OHA. Oh my gosh. Auburn
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: is in as a five seed. They play in Virginia
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: and Texas Tech at the three seed playing number two
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Michigan State te Michigan State against Auburn and Virginia. Yeah yeah,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: wow wow. So who's what's missing for you? Steve? What's
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Duke is missing? That dn't blew everybody's bracket up? Yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Duke is missing. Auburn then shattered everybody's bracket because nobody
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: picked Auburn. I can promise you nobody picked Auburn. And
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: I didn't think Auburn would get past Kentucky after they
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: lost their started player. Yeahs came in the warm. Hold up, man,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: but Texas Tech don't? Yes? Can I say something crazy
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: to you? Man? Do you know Texas Tech could win
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: this whole thing? You think so? Them boys is bad? Yeah? Man,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: them boys played defense. I'm talking about forty eight minutes
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: ball hawking hair, red Red Raiders. Baby, they ain't love it, Tommy, Yeah,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: they love them. Okay, but you know what that's this
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: crazy thing about. I could not believe all but did Kentucky.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: That was the play good ball? Man. I watched that game.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: They played some good ball. That was the shocker. I know,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Charles barkingshe going crazy? What oh covid? I mean? I
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: mean blocking? Hold on, wait, man, hold on, hold fight
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: the fun when the final fuck? No, okay, calling them
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: then make it to the final. Fuck that ain't make
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: it to the Kenny. Then we aren't even talk about Kenny.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: They weren't gonna make we Earnie, Earnie, We're in the
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: final five seven man, This is craz to put that.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: But that other game, miss Man, that Duke Michigan State game.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: I had to give it to him. Michigan State took
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: the league off of three from goings with thirty four
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: seconds left on the c They took the league with
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: a three. It was sixty five sixty seven goings comes
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: down man power four pulls up, knocked down a trade
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: with thirty four seconds left. Oh man, Duke had it.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: They had it. But nah, that's it, man, it's set now.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: But you know, Duke, they last two games, last second,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: they've been ruggling. Yeah, they can't. Um, I don't. I didn't.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: You know, man, it's so not as boy as Zion.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I want you all to know. He is the truth.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you this right now. And I
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: watched them both very closely. It's better than Lebron at
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: eighteen Bye bye bye, a good gap. I'm talking about. Uh.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: If he stayed in college, he would be a miracle.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: It would just be a miracle. He's he's a one
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: and done guy. He's one and done. He's at the
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: top of it that you're not picking anybody over him, No, No,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: he's the team. And I got another thing I want
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: to say about it too. And you know I always
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: said that I didn't want Lebron to come to l A.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: I always said that we all agree, absolutely always said that.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Now they're saying they're resting Lebron so he doesn't further
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: injure his growing, that's not the truth. I don't believe that.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: I believe that they're resting Lebron because they know the
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: season is done. They're not gonna injure get him injured
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: in meaningless games, and they're they've thrown in the tile.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: We're not gonna make the playoffs. Let's go on and
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: lose these games and get a better shot of a
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: lottery pick. That's exactly what they don't. Bro. You tell
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: you gotta be kidding me, because you leave Bron. Lebron
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: out there here, competitor, He's gonna find a way to win.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: They don't want that. We don't need the more wins.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: We got enough. Now, let me ask you something. How's
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: the lottery system done? Now? Now it's like the fourth
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: the last four teams US finished last finish worst. I
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: think they have like a different percentage. Now he's broken up,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: somebody's gonna have a higher percentage in the other three
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: are gonna have the same percentage. It's the first picks, right,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: but those last teams will get the first four picks. Yea.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: And the Lakers just need to be in it. And
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: that's why Lebron ain't playing the rest of this season.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: But I think I think I think Lebron is disappointed
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: because I think that they made promises to Lebron that
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: they could not keep or deliver on. And I think
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I don't think Lebron is a happy Laker. I don't think.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't spoken with him, ain't sparking,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: spoke nobody in this camp. This just us doing just
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: boy trash talk, just boys talking trash. I just don't
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: think he's happy as a Laker, But I do think
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: he can play. Ain't nothing wrong the growing. Hell, I
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: rest my growing all the time, not that I want
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: to at the rest of it. I think I got
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: a pool growing right now. It's the same in ye Yeah,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: you're right. My groun hurt. If I talk a lot,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: that's a different growing. Yeah. See, Shirley, just all us
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: just how me and talk stuff, he said, Michael. If
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I talk hey something, yeah, yeah, I pull up something
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: talking pull something. Yeah, Man, So I think I think.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: I don't think Lebron is a happy Laker. I think
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: that they I think that the management of the Lakers
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: has said some things that's disrupted though. I think the
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: coach is concerned about his job. Oh definitely he gone.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I think he gonna be gone. He's gone. Won't be
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the year. But you said it right though. When they
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: put all them guys on that on that, on that
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: list to be traded, Yeah, that killed him around. Man, hey, dog,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: you messed their head up. Yeah, so you would trade
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: all of us from Lebron. I knew something was wrong
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: with him when Lebron broke Michael Jordan's record and they
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: all gave him a light high five, and when he
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: was climbed by myself and ain't nobody going on and
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: stay deserving? I watched men, many didn't, Dog, They just
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: stayed away. Whatever. Yeah, a little Rondo sitting on the
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: other side of the team bench. You know, Rondo got
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: is emostly so long with him any day. Yeah, once
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: he spent on Kyrie that day. That I mean, Chris Paul,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: see you, Jess, Dog, you know what you're doing that
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: back You sound like Chris Rock on Jesse, what did
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: you think it? We'll be back with more of the
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. Guys, you're listening
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. We gotta say congratulations going out
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: to Janet Jackson for being inducted finally into the Rock
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: and Roll Hall of Fame. Yes, all right. She thanked
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: her fans. Nicholas's been with me every step of the way,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: through all my ups, all my downs. I never have
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: and I never will take you for granted. I love
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you with all my heart. Thank you so much, Janet.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Can you shut you You think Michael was talking? Yeah?
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: They all sound alike, don't think Yeah. Yeah. Janet was
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: inducted by Janelle Monet. Janet became the six member of
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: her family in the Hall of Fame, following her brothers
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: and the Jackson Five, and Michael is also enshrined as
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: a solo artist. Janet did not perform at the ceremony,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: though a source told The New York Post that that
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: is because Janet is preparing for her Metamorphosis residency in Vegas,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: so that's been her focus, but others believe that has
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: more to do with the family suit against HBO, which
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: will air highlights of the ceremony on April twenty seven,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: over the documentary Leaving Neverland, and we know that why
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: why she didn't perform at the Rock and Roll Hall
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: of Fame Because normally when you're inducted, then you perform,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: that's normally how it goes. Yeah, but she didn't perform
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: because they say she's preparing for her residency. She's going
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: to have a residency in Vegas. It's called The Metamorphosis. Um,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: that's the name of her show. Anyway, that's been her focus.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: They're saying that's why she didn't perform, But others think
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: it's because her family is suing HBO, and HBO is
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: going to air some of the highlights of the Rock
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: and Roll in Inductee ceremony on twenty seven. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: so there's family is suing of course over Leaving Neverland,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: the documentary. Okay, okay, so you're gonna be in Vegas though, yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: I'm going I'm going to that. Yeah, gotta go to that. Yeah,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: So that's why. But congratulations, it is a happy time
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: for her. She won, you know, and everything, so that's
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: really good. She does she definitely did some records. Oh yeah,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna take my wife with me, excuse me to
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: see Janet? Yeah yeah, I'm okay. Well, I mean we're
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: there other choices, what are you what are you talking about?
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Of course, I'm gonna get two tickets that's not buy
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: each other, because I don't want her to see me
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: holland louder than huh Jane. That's what I want to
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: see is when y'all walk through that door and you
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: take her to a seat and you go sit somewhere.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: That's what I want. Can you feel that for me? Well, Steve,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: you know it's hard for Tommy to control himself. You
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: do know that you go, she go, someone's on the
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: stage that he really likes. I'm just saying, excuse me,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: did Tommy tell us Janet? Yeah? Yeah, oh yeah, I'm
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: gonna call I'm gonna call her for tickets like you
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: call me for tickets. Ain't the saying we never saw
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: a pictures? So yeah, we never saw pictures. Call in,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: That's what I'm gonna do, matter, Calle, and we can
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: put a stop it this. Yeah there you go, yeah,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: do that. Every time you have a call in, we
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: end up talking no, no, no, no, No, that's good.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: You'll go ahead and have a call. And don't worry, Tommy.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: I'm not gonna tell them about the time you lost
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: your mind when Fantasia performed on stage. I'm not you
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: just did it. Oh we all know? All right? Yeah, man, Tommy,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: I'm scared for you. Your wife was sitting right next
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: to you. All right. Coming up more of the Steve
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Right you're listening Harvey Morn Show. We're

- 1:27:41Speaker 1: car heading to the plane. That was it Thursday night?

- 1:28:03Speaker 1: so thank you very much. He was big. You know,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: the Image Awards really do mean a lot to me.
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: They really really do. Man. I cherish those more than
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: the Emmys that I get, and I mean that seriously.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: They all over my office. Wow. I love those. Okay,
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: and congratulations again. You won for family Feud, so look

- 1:28:48Speaker 1: and Beyonce was named Entertainer of the Year. And then
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: Black Panther, Oh, Black Panther, Black Panther won everything everything. Yeah,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: we're kind of forever. Uh So, now we're gonna talk
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: about Steve. You said you've already spoken to Chris rock Um.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: He ignored the no Jesse Smollett jokes rule. Take a
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: listen to this. I got an award they said, no
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Jesse Smollett jokes. Yeah, I know, I know what a
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: waste of light skin. You know, you know what I
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: could do with that light skin that Curly had my
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: career would be I am running Hollywood. Um that's no, no, no,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: just didn't What the hell was he thinking? From now?
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: I never know you're Jesse from now on, nor even
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: get to you no more that you was respect. You're
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: getting no respect from me. I was, and you know,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: but you know, no, Jesse swallowed jokes. But you know,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: I mean it's human, man, I mean, you know, and
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: people get tight about it. But man, I mean it's
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: the obvious thing. It's on everybody's mind. And what was
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: they laughing at? They were laughing right at the joke?
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: Yeah no, they was all right, Steve, thank you. We'll
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: come back and do our last break of the day
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: and have some closing remarks right after this. You're listening,
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Here we are last break of the
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: day on this Monday. Uh, please leave us with some
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: closing remarks like only you can do. And congratulations. We
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: have to say this one more time for your When
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: Image Awards for hosting Family Few, Best Game Show host. Congratulations.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: You know what in light of what happened to this
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: young brother, Nipsey Hustle. It was so disheartening to hear.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: He and I were not close, so I didn't really
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: know much of him at all. You know, we've never
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: had him, you know, lengthy conversation anything like that. But
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: I was just thinking about the senseless murder of this
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: young man. Um. What I want to talk to us
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: about is, you know what what has happened to us?
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: The explanation can be very very deep, and it can
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: be it's a way, it's a wide wide range of
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: things that we can point to that has called as
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: this world to turn the way it's turned. And this
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: world has always been in an ugly place to be
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: in for a lot of people. But it's it's it's
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: pretty bad right now. And at a time when we
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: were all hoping it would be a lot better for
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: all of us now. We were hoping that racism had
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: been faded by now, you know. We were hoping that
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: the country was open to people of all different religions.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: We were hoping that we would be big enough to
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: accept each other's sexuality. We were hoping that we would
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: always remain a country that the statue of liberty supposedly
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: was to stand for out there. None of these things
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: have come true. It's one of the core reasons is
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: we are such a country of little faith. You know,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: we have on the back of our dollar bills and
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: our money in God we trust. But I mean, really,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: then it must be obvious that there's a lot of
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: people who don't trust in it, because there's a lot
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: of people in this country doing doing the devil's bidding,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: and we've we've lost touch with our creator. We're our
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: more compass is broken. We want to continue to call
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: ourselves the greatest nation in the world, but this greatest
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: nation in the world has a lot of problems. Now
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: I'm from here. You know, I was born here, I've
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: survived here, I've been downtrodden here, and I've thrived here.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: I've been through the whole gamut, and I'm gonna just
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: say this, it ain't been easy. This country called the
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: United States did not make it easy for me. I
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: don't know that I could have been when I am
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: anywhere else in the world today, But I'm just saying
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: this to you that this country did not make it
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: easy for me, as it don't make it easy for
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: a lot of people. So this nation that we want
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: to keep saying it is the greatest nation on the
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: world in the world, has the highest prison population in it.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: This nation that we want to keep calling the greatest
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: nation in the world has the highest murder rate of
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: any country in the world. We leave the world in murders. Man.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: You know, you can say what you want to say
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: about Mexico. You can want to say what you want
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: to say about Venezuela, you can say what you want
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: to say about the Motherland. But I got news for you, man.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: We tripp it. We over here, man, like the greatest
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: nation in the world, but we keep it knowing the
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: fact that we have some of the greatest problems in
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: the world. Oh we may not be the poorest, but
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: we dog gonna show ain't the safest. Oh oh oh.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: We may have far more opportunities and freedoms than everybody else,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: but we're so free that anybody can walk in and
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: buy a gun, and then walk in any school, walk
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: in any theater, walking only church, any church, and open fire.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: Were so free. Oh yeah, man, were free, And we're
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: the greatest nation on earth. But we can't get so
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: many things right. We got at the highest office in
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: the land, tweets going out on a daily basis about
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: things that he shouldn't even be talking about. We have
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: with us right now, probably the most unpresidential president we've
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: ever had. The gig is up for me. I keep saying,
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: this is the greatest nation in the world. But man,
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: when I look at the problems we got, see see
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: what we can't keep doing is painting ourselves as the
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: greatest nation in the world and not try to continually
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: solve the problems that keep us from being really a
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: greater nation that we could. Or are we just a
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: great nation? Are we just the greatest nation in the
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: world for a select group of people? Oh? Now I
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: think now, I think out to find what I'm trying
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: to say. We're the greatest nation in the world for
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: some people, but for the rest of us, we still
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: under oppression. We're still fighting for voting rights acts, were
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: still trying to keep ourselves from not getting killed on
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: the way to school and from school. I'm not convinced
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: that we're the greatest nation in the world as long
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: as we're gonna keep leaving this in gun violence and
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: impel for all. Steve Harvey contests no purchase necessary, we're prohibited.
