Transcript
- 0:04[SPEAKER_03]: And now of course, after I finish watching the entire Ice Man episode one, I was just thinking to myself.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_03]: So where, so what then?
- 0:15[SPEAKER_03]: So what then be gone?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_03]: Because of course, I was thinking to myself, so what?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: So what now?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_03]: Of course at the end of the day, the go, the mascot of hip-hop has returned with new installments to his next project that is and will be titled.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_03]: Ice Man.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: Now, of course, for a long time listeners at a podcast, you already know, I don't know how in the world I got this information.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, you know, I probably just made it up way back then, right?
- 0:43[SPEAKER_03]: But as far as Ice Man specifically, just know, I revealed the title for this project back in November of twenty twenty four.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't believe me, just look up Ice Man analytic dreams with a Z and they look at the release date.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_03]: So what that being said,
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, do you want to look at the state of hemp hop?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's going on?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, usually I cover new music earlier as far as when it releases.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, something just told me that I should probably wait even before any of the post happened today.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, let me just wait for a little bit because, you know, obviously I'm not having any information given to me, right?
- 1:20[SPEAKER_03]: Because that would be insane.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like, who in the world would be watching this from the OVO camp?
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: So obviously I was just waiting and waiting.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, it eventually came.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: What pause?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: you guys.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_03]: So that being said, Iceman episode one is totally finished.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: And as far as the live stream, I believe you can't pull it up.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think in general, you would have had to watch it as soon as it came out.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_03]: So when I was watching it, obviously, I took a lot of notes and think of things that are nature.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_03]: But then a lot of other people took a lot of notes because besides the point of people calling him a PDF, we know proof.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody was tuned into this live stream.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: With that being said, the main thing I want to let you know is that it did happen on Independence Day, which is definitely an interesting strategy, especially the way that Kendrick was releasing his certain tracks on certain Canadian holidays.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: It really matches up as far as Drake trying to have a rebuttal, as far as putting certain stuff out on American holidays.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, it's just a pattingness.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: to the highest level.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_03]: But of course, both of these superstars are meticulous in the way they construct the marketing strategies, which is why they've been running hip hop for quite some time.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_03]: As far as, twenty, twenty, twenty, five specifically being the only hip hop artists to really compete with the other superstars and other genres.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: And if you don't believe me, all you gotta do is just go to the charts.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: Objectively speaking, Kendrick, Drake,
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: And played with Cardi, I guess, are one of the top tier performers as far as engagement, not quality as far as engagement and consumption in hip hop compared to the rest of the field as with Drake.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: Some sexy songs for you is the eighteenth most play album in the world with Kendrick.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: Kendrick's album is currently the fourteenth most played album in the world as far as GNX.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: And then when it comes to singles, Nokia is the sixteenth most played track in the world been on their charts for about nineteen weeks.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: So so must say that's a bonafight hit for Drake.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously not his standards as far as not being in the top five of a top ten, but it's still in the top twenty, which is a significant accomplishment being nineteen weeks into
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: this cycle.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: And then we have the other track.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody loves me with party next door being the fifth year of most play track in the world.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_03]: That's been on the charts for about nineteen weeks.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, so seven, I mean, um, white tank top, I mean, my fault, Kendrick Kendrick.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: Kendrick has four tracks on the charts, which technically is two more than Drake, but to be well, actually, scissors on two of those tracks.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm taking two off.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_03]: So technically, I think they're tied.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: But whatever, Kendrick has four tracks on the charts as Luther,
- 4:02[SPEAKER_03]: is the number six most played track in the world been on the charts about thirty one weeks of course that's with sisa and then when you come to thirty for thirty his second most popular track that's also with sisa and that's the twenty ninth most played track in the world been on the charts about twenty seven weeks now of course if you knew just though this is a notorious bass a fake so we get into the gaming and music IPs that affect the masses so that being said
- 4:28[SPEAKER_03]: TV off is the third most popular track from Kendrick, and that's been on a charts for about thirty one weeks, which is a huge accomplishment.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: Definitely the most popular track from Kendrick himself, off of GNX.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my fault.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: He actually has another feature on it, and his lefty gunplay.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_03]: Now with that one, I'm not trying to disrespect lefty, but I'm just going to say I think Kendrick had more to do with that going popular than his feature, right?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_03]: So Kendrick featured a lefty gunplay with TV office, the forty-six most popular track in the world, been on the charts for about thirty-one weeks.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, his fourth most popular track is Peacaboo, which is the seven-year most popular track in the world, been on the charts for about thirty-one weeks.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_03]: So of course, when it comes to Drake, when it comes to Kendrick, no other hip-hop artist is out here competing at this height as far as against other superstars and other genres.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: You can't find another hip-hop artist besides Drake and Kendrick.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to contemplate with Cardi, as far as his album, I guess you can, but as far as singles specifically, Drake, Kendrick, and then of course, Big X-Apple.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_03]: But of course, with his albums being entitled, take care.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying, I'll try not to cover that one.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that was just blatant disrespect.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_03]: Anyways, again, back into Drake and his ice vent episode one.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: It happened today, of course.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: Well, if you listen to this in the future, it happened July fourth.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: on YouTube, it was a whole livestream and it was set in a Toronto warehouse featuring trucks with the Iceman branding.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, the way that Drake transitioned from the different scenes he was showcasing, because analytic dreams video on Spotify, they see the video along with the audio, but I was just going to show you all some of the scenes from the livestream.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: So in general, there was multiple scenes he was showing and these were some of them.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_03]: analytics dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio, but this is some of the scenes that was shown during the live stream, really reminded me of a case in that type of setup as far as the production quality as far as a live stream being specific, because you know, of course, then he didn't
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: Invent music videos and things of that nature, but of course when it comes to the live stream at Aspect, the different scenes and the way they set it up to go in the different transitions, I think Kyson S team is one of the best if not the best.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_03]: Currently, probably him, Mr. B, some would say speed, but it's really the locations where he's at as far as the live stream at Aspect, not really the actual format of the format.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's more Kyson S.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: Anyways, that was a little content create a solid tangent.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_03]: So these were the scenes from the Ice Man live stream.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_03]: As you can tell, Ice Man branding is all over this warehouse.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, there was a break room.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_03]: There was a break room.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: And that's when Drake came out and essentially showcased the ultimate single that he will be putting out for the summer titled What Did I Miss?
- 7:23[SPEAKER_03]: Now that being said,
- 7:25[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, I was very excited because Drake's my favorite artist.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_03]: I spent episode one, I think is, and was a success as far as doing what they needed to do, having a lot of people tune in.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, there was a thirty minute delay, because, you know, rappers, they really don't understand time like that.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_03]: They say one time, they show up two hours later.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, you just got put up with it.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: But, um, as far as what did I miss the visuals, as far as the specific track.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I think I could put up the snippet of that, because, like I said, a lot of streamers completely gone.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: So I can't put up the video, I believe.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_03]: Let me see.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, here's the video for what that I meant.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_03]: So essentially, Drake came out and see.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, can I put it audio?
- 8:06[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_03]: So Drake came out.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_03]: And basically, he was sending a lunch room table.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_03]: So this is this TV's like, as far as the outside perspective, Drake is sending in a lunch room.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: He grabs something out of a microwave sat down about the eat.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_03]: And then this is what the TV was and the zoomed in on a TV and then this went, that's when the single what did I miss play from.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: So when it comes to the video, this is what looks like right here.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_03]: So and I let the dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: But essentially speaking,
- 8:35[SPEAKER_03]: The way that the transition set up, especially the wait time and to the actual reveal of the trailer, I mean, of the single, I thought it was phenomenal.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, when it comes to the track, I actually like this track.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_03]: And before you say, oh, you like every drink track that is far from the case.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's literally one of his latest tracks as far as with Smiley, two miles a set as one of Drake's worst tracks of all time.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: But then you know, I'm saying, I was like, damn, look at the state of head pub.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's going on?
- 9:02[SPEAKER_03]: And that happened June thirteen twenty twenty five so safe to say I always listen to Drake's music compared to his own music and then that's what my review comes from so as far as this specific track is definitely reminding me of an anthem I do believe when it comes to an anthem like single this is what Drake was going for because as far as Nokia I think that was more experimental but
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: People who don't know me personally as soon as that album came out that was the first track I put up because I knew that this was it I knew that no Kia was definitely hit as far as this particular track reminds me more of a guy's plan as far as the overall anthem type of a pathway it just depends on how people are going to respond to listening to
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's a PG podcast, but let's just say meat writing and hating type lyrics going at certain people certain individuals when you're literally suing for the damages that was done to you by another rapper.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's the most that's the simplest way I could put it.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_03]: So as far as aggressive versus going at people talking about people being a rapper.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_03]: in the sport getting defeated objectively because you said in court because I've covered the actual Drake lawsuit if you want to type that if you want to look that up just type in let me see yeah okay so just type in UMG analytic dreams with the Z in a share pop up and whatever platform you listen to podcasts on so in general
- 10:32[SPEAKER_03]: I've worked this lawsuit down like a kilo of my list hours.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_03]: Drake literally said in the lawsuit, hey, I lost brand deals, I lost sponsorships, I lost all type of things because of that not like us anthem, right?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: So objectively, Drake lost.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's what they're saying in the lawsuit.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_03]: That's what the whole defamation is about.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, when it comes to the bites and pale, that's a whole another side of the lawsuit, which you can hear when I deep dive into it, specifically in my UMG segment.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_03]: Anyways, as far as it's specifically,
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: I like it.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's an anthem.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_03]: The only reason I'm having some hesitancy towards it is because of the content.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: The lyrical content is not going to be believable because it's like if a gangster rapper got caught snitching and now kept coming out talking about, oh, we kill rats.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: We hate rats.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, no, no.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: I know what I think of you.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: Drake out here talking about, oh, we pop it now.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_03]: We we are taking like literally the clip I played at the beginning, right?
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: And as far as him talking tough during like some heckler coming up to him, which you know is granted because like why you coming up to Drake, why he's trying to ride around in his iceman van promoting his music, right?
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: And he was talking tough to that person.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_03]: But in general, as far as the lyrical content, I think I could pull this up.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: So I can specifically quote.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_03]: So what did I miss, right?
- 11:52[SPEAKER_03]: What did my miss has a specific track on a specific verse where he was going at people?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_03]: Because he was talking about, okay, yeah, here we go.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: He said, okay, let me pull this up because y'all gonna think I'm joking.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_03]: Literally.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_03]: Aubrey Graham said, in verse two,
- 12:12[SPEAKER_03]: People get punched and remember this is a PG podcast, so I'm like, you know, take out the cuss words and replace them.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_03]: People get punched in the face on some T.O.L.T.L.C.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: poop on it on a day guy.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: So at first glance, you're probably thinking, I know that anyone, I thank you to you.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_03]: And there's the same man that been soon as his company, his major backing, backer as far as his entire musical career.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_03]: Anyways, let's keep going.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_03]: People get punched in the face on some TLC poop on the dead guy.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_03]: Some TLC because my guy, you're gonna need a chili ice pack for your left eye.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: So a lot more tough talk.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back in your city tonight.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he's continuing with the tough talk.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_03]: Walking around with my head high, I saw a bro at the pop out with them, but been meat riding gang since headlines.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_03]: Now that's specifically for LeBron James.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't believe me, just know.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: Hold on.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: Just know, that's specifically full of bronchings.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_03]: And if you don't believe me, even more, even after, you know, with no proof, you know, of course, because I said at the beginning of the segment, certain things that you could pinpoint, but whatever, as far as Drake, there's a stain called the Irish, the fighting Irish freestyle.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: Guess what now is release?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: January, well, not exactly, but as far as when I covered it, January, third, twenty, twenty, five, I believe it was released like a day or two before that.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: But essentially, defining Irish freestyle.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I want to know who LeBron's high school, uh, what, what high school he played with.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_03]: You see, if I could pull this up, I quit.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so, uh, as far as LeBron James high school, he essentially went to St.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: Vincent St.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: Mary
- 14:02[SPEAKER_03]: uh... high school and acrin ohio y'all want to know what the jerseys look like
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: But then, you know, I'm saying, I was like, damn, look at the state of head pop.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's going on?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_03]: So anyways, going back to the lyrics, I saw Brian at the pop out with them, but been meat riding gang since headlines.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: Now, of course, LeBron's not going to respond, because there's a lot of things that Drake said in the fighting Irish freestyle, which if you'd literally type in Irish analytic dreams with a Z as sure pop up as far as my coverage of that freestyle, essentially speaking, Drake exposed that man.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_03]: And the way he exposed them, I do not co-sign.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_03]: You know, let's say, hey,
- 14:41[SPEAKER_03]: He said, don't hate the player hate the game.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think in general, Drake was hating both.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: He was hating the player and the game.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, oh, don't know.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_03]: Ain't no way.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_03]: I'd be helping you with this, this and that.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: And you a whole married, let me choose.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_03]: So anyways, with that being said, Drake's single, what did I miss, which revealed during the ice man episode?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_03]: And then we had what else?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let me go back to this.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_03]: And then we had other tracks that I was revealed, such as
- 15:11[SPEAKER_03]: face fire, which was a one dance type of track.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_03]: That's one of the tracks that a lot of people missed as far as the coverage.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_03]: They don't understand that, well, not understand, but they didn't see that Drake was promote different tracks off of the iceman project.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: So there was super max, which a lot of people covered.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_03]: There was what did I miss, which is the commercial anthem that he's, I think he's going to put that out at midnight, but don't quote me on that.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: And then there's the ice man overall episode one basically just showcasing that this is going to be a continuation of the series.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_03]: Um, phase fire, which is a one dance type of track that we haven't heard before.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_03]: And then we have Brian Steal freestyle by Smiley, right?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if it's going to be title Brian Steal, but of course, Smiley had his own freestyle off of
- 15:57[SPEAKER_03]: off of this livestream, which tells me that this entire mixed tape is going to have specific tracks from OVO members specifically to them.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_03]: So I think Smiley is going to have his own track off of this iceman project.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_03]: Now I'm saying it's going to be like an album.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_03]: I do believe at the end of the day, I'll do believe this is not going to be his
- 16:18[SPEAKER_03]: his album because he has a whole album out R&B wise with party next door.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_03]: There's twenty one tracks.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's one of his best albums of all time.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: And I know it's a hot take.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: But if you listen to the album, I think it just gets better at time.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like every time I listen to when he's gone or die trying or somebody loves me, like I just realized that this is a classic body of work from Drake.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_03]: Pause.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: you guys.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Diddy, the messed up the game for all of us.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: We got to pause everything and it seems like you don't say it.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: So anyways, um, and then yeah, so that was it.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: So there was a super max review.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_03]: The weather that I missed review, the phase fire review, and then the Brian still freestyle review on the iceman episode one.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: And at the end of the day, I just wanted to let you know that when it comes to Drake, this whole entire project is just going to be here.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking about what he said and what that I miss.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: Basically talking about how people switched up on them, how
- 17:14[SPEAKER_03]: In general, he can't believe how some people that he helped out flipped on him.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_03]: But of course, that's how it goes.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_03]: And he talked about talking to Taylor.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: But what that being said, we're going to specifically dive into every single track as far as Supermax, what did I miss, face fire and Brian still.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_03]: So as far as this coverage, we're going to continue it on those particular tracks.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_03]: So with that being said, let's get into Supermax right now.
