- 0:01Speaker 1: Well come in his verdict with Senator Ted Cruz Ben
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ferguson with you and Senator we are going to get
- 0:06Speaker 1: back to more of what we normally do on this
- 0:08Speaker 1: show today after this incredibly sad but inspiring last week,
- 0:15Speaker 1: especially as you and I have come back from the
- 0:16Speaker 1: funeral of Charlie Kirk. And one of the things that
- 0:19Speaker 1: we're going to be talking about is a very interesting
- 0:22Speaker 1: book launch. And man, is she just throwing her colleagues
- 0:26Speaker 1: under the bus, Kamala Harris going scorched to earth, but
- 0:28Speaker 1: then trying to take some of it back in the interviews.
- 0:30Speaker 2: It's really bad.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Pr Well, I think Kamala Harris has decided she needs
- 0:35Speaker 3: a new pair of shoes, so she wants to sell books,
- 0:37Speaker 3: to sell a lot of books, and so she's.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Come out with her book.
- 0:41Speaker 3: And in the book she admits that she didn't pick
- 0:45Speaker 3: Pete Buddhaje Edge's VP why because he's gay? And she
- 0:50Speaker 3: didn't pick Josh Shapiro as VP why because he's Jewish.
- 0:55Speaker 3: And then she's proceeded to say, no big deal, just
- 0:58Speaker 3: the Democrat Party is no gays need apply, no Jews
- 1:02Speaker 3: need to ply. But remember we're the party of tolerance
- 1:05Speaker 3: and inclusion. We're going to break that down, tell you
- 1:07Speaker 3: exactly what she said. And finally, Jimmy Kimmel is back
- 1:12Speaker 3: on ABC, at least for a minute or two. I
- 1:14Speaker 3: don't know how long this will last, but he is
- 1:17Speaker 3: back on. We're going to talk about that, what it means,
- 1:21Speaker 3: what it means for ABC, what it means for America,
- 1:23Speaker 3: what it means for free speech, all of that on
- 1:26Speaker 3: today's Verdict.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be really interesting.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I want to talk to you real quick about the
- 1:30Speaker 1: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews in something that is
- 1:33Speaker 1: coming up that's really important that I want you to
- 1:36Speaker 1: be involved in. It was nearly two years ago that
- 1:39Speaker 1: the terrorists murdered more than one thousand, two hundred innocent
- 1:43Speaker 1: Israelis and then they took two hundred and fifty hostages,
- 1:46Speaker 1: many of them they've killed.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Today, it seems as if.
- 1:49Speaker 1: The cries of the dead and the dying have been
- 1:51Speaker 1: drowned out by the shouts of anti Semitic hatred, and
- 1:55Speaker 1: the most brutal attack on the Jewish people since the Holocausts,
- 1:58Speaker 1: by many now has just been forgotten. Yet, as the
- 2:01Speaker 1: world looks away, light shines in the darkness, and it
- 2:05Speaker 1: is a movement of love and support for the people
- 2:08Speaker 1: of Israel that we want you to be a part of.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It's called Flags of Fellowship and it's organized by the
- 2:14Speaker 1: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Now this is the
- 2:17Speaker 1: best part. On October fifth, just a few weeks away,
- 2:22Speaker 1: millions across America will prayerfully plant an Israeli flag in
- 2:27Speaker 1: honor and solidarity with the victims of October seventh, twenty
- 2:31Speaker 1: twenty three. And they're grieving families as well. And you
- 2:35Speaker 1: can be a part of this movement this day. Also,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you can get your church involved as well. All you
- 2:42Speaker 1: have to do is get more information and you can
- 2:45Speaker 1: join the Flags of Fellowship movement by visiting Fellowship online.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Just go to IFCJ dot org and again you can
- 2:55Speaker 1: get all the information on how to join the Flags
- 2:57Speaker 1: of Fellowship movement. You can also find out how to
- 2:59Speaker 1: get your church involved. That's IFCJ dot org. That's if
- 3:04Speaker 1: CJ dot org. All right, So Kama put out this
- 3:08Speaker 1: book and the name of the book is really funny.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It's the number of days that her campaign was. Obviously,
- 3:15Speaker 1: when Joe Biden was forced after that first debate to
- 3:18Speaker 1: get out. Kamala Harris was the obvious pick for multiple reasons,
- 3:22Speaker 1: including it was the easiest way to keep the money
- 3:24Speaker 1: rolling from the presidential campaign of Joe Biden. But she's
- 3:27Speaker 1: now basically saying I'm a brilliant candidate. Everybody else was
- 3:31Speaker 1: bad and no one helped me the way they should have.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And she's like angry at the entire Democratic Party and
- 3:36Speaker 1: also at Joe Biden and his family.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Well, she's got a lot of anger, but I will
- 3:42Speaker 3: admit that that there's actually at least a moment or
- 3:44Speaker 3: two of honesty and candor in this book. And the
- 3:48Speaker 3: honesty and candor is just how intolerant and judgmental and
- 3:52Speaker 3: hateful the Democrat Party has been that.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Hold on, they're the party of tolerance. They've been saying
- 3:58Speaker 1: it for years.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Well here's what she wrote.
- 4:03Speaker 3: She said that her first choice to be VP was
- 4:08Speaker 3: her close friend Pete Botajetge, but she decided that it
- 4:12Speaker 3: would be quote too big of a risk for a
- 4:15Speaker 3: black woman to run with a gay man. And she
- 4:18Speaker 3: says Buddhajetge quote would have been an ideal partner if
- 4:24Speaker 3: I were a straight white man, but we were already
- 4:28Speaker 3: asking a lot of America to accept a woman, a
- 4:31Speaker 3: black woman, a black woman married to a Jewish man.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Part of me wanted to say, screw it, let's just
- 4:38Speaker 3: do it, but knowing what's at stake, it was too
- 4:41Speaker 3: big a risk. Now, let me start by saying, listen,
- 4:44Speaker 3: Democrats are at their core racist. They are at their
- 4:48Speaker 3: core deeply bigoted. So her view of it. By the way,
- 4:52Speaker 3: she didn't lose in Kamala's world because the Democrats agenda
- 4:59Speaker 3: for four years under Biden and Kamala was a train racket,
- 5:02Speaker 3: was a disaster. She didn't lose because of open borders
- 5:04Speaker 3: and twelve million illegals coming into this country. She didn't
- 5:07Speaker 3: lose because of Americans being murdered and raped and children
- 5:11Speaker 3: being assaulted by illegals they'd released. She didn't lose because
- 5:14Speaker 3: of out of control inflation making it harder for working
- 5:17Speaker 3: Americans to buy groceries and pay their bills. She didn't
- 5:21Speaker 3: lose because on the international stage they'd screwed everything up
- 5:24Speaker 3: and went from peace and prosperity to two simultaneous wars.
- 5:28Speaker 3: She didn't lose because of anti Semitic protests on college
- 5:31Speaker 3: campuses that Democrats did nothing about. No, no, no, no,
- 5:34Speaker 3: in Kamala's world, she lost because I'm going to go
- 5:37Speaker 3: back to her quote, we were already asking a lot
- 5:40Speaker 3: of America to accept a woman, because clearly that's why
- 5:44Speaker 3: she lost in Kamala's world. Because she's a woman, a
- 5:47Speaker 3: black woman. Clearly, that's even more why she lost in
- 5:51Speaker 3: Kamala's world, a black woman married to a Jewish man.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I'm sorry, is there a single voter on planet Earth
- 6:00Speaker 3: who voted against Kamala because she's a black woman married
- 6:02Speaker 3: to a Jewish man? Well, actually the answer maybe yes,
- 6:05Speaker 3: but that would be a Democrat who is anti Semitic
- 6:08Speaker 3: and can't stand that she was married to a Jewish man.
- 6:11Speaker 3: But that was her world is she said, Well, because
- 6:15Speaker 3: everyone's racist, like we and the Democrat Party are, I
- 6:20Speaker 3: can't pick Pete. And she says Pete would be an
- 6:24Speaker 3: ideal partner. That's who she wanted to pick. And the
- 6:27Speaker 3: singular reason she did not is he was gay. If
- 6:32Speaker 3: he were straight, she not explicitly says it, but she
- 6:37Speaker 3: pretty clearly suggests he would have been her pick. And
- 6:42Speaker 3: and she's quite open about saying nope, for her being
- 6:46Speaker 3: gay was disqualifying.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to play this, and there's two versions
- 6:50Speaker 1: of it. I want to play the longer version because
- 6:53Speaker 1: Comly went on the biggest TV show to sell a book.
- 6:57Speaker 1: If you're a Democrat, Rachel Maddow on MSNBC, and Rachel
- 7:01Speaker 1: is for you, they don't know she's openly gay. She
- 7:05Speaker 1: was not happy with Kamala and had the book there
- 7:08Speaker 1: and was clearly wanting to take her to task. I
- 7:12Speaker 1: want you to listen to this back and forth and
- 7:14Speaker 1: how awkward it got on.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Let me ask you a politics question. I mentioned an
- 7:20Speaker 5: intro tonight that you say in the book really bluntly
- 7:22Speaker 5: that your personal first choice for your running mate would
- 7:26Speaker 5: have been Pete Buda Jete, and you praise him effusively.
- 7:29Speaker 5: You say you would have been an ideal partner if
- 7:31Speaker 5: I were a straight man, and you say effectively that demographically,
- 7:36Speaker 5: it was too much to ask of the American people
- 7:39Speaker 5: to ask them to elect you with him as your
- 7:43Speaker 5: running mate. I wonder if his reaction to that, since
- 7:46Speaker 5: this part of the book has come out, if you've
- 7:48Speaker 5: had any reflection on that, or.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I guess.
- 7:53Speaker 5: I guess I'd ask you to just elaborate on that
- 7:55Speaker 5: a little bit. It's hard to hear with you running
- 7:59Speaker 5: as you know, you're the first woman elected vice president,
- 8:02Speaker 5: you're a black woman and a South Asian woman elected
- 8:05Speaker 5: that high office, very nearly elected president.
- 8:07Speaker 2: To say that he.
- 8:08Speaker 5: Couldn't be on the ticket effectively because he was gay,
- 8:10Speaker 5: it's hard to hear.
- 8:11Speaker 6: No, No, that's not what I said. That that's that he
- 8:14Speaker 6: couldn't be on the ticket because he is gay. My point,
- 8:19Speaker 6: as I write in the book, is that I was
- 8:23Speaker 6: clear that in one hundred and seven days, in one
- 8:27Speaker 6: of the most hotly contested elections for president United States,
- 8:32Speaker 6: against someone like Donald Trump, who knows no floor, to
- 8:38Speaker 6: be a black woman running for president United States and
- 8:43Speaker 6: as a vice presidential running mate a gay man, with
- 8:49Speaker 6: the stakes being so high, it made me very sad.
- 8:53Speaker 6: But I also realized it would be a real risk
- 8:59Speaker 6: no matter how you know. I've been an advocate and
- 9:02Speaker 6: an ally of of the LGBT community my entire life.
- 9:06Speaker 6: So it wasn't about it wasn't about it right, So
- 9:08Speaker 6: it wasn't about any any prejudice on my part, but
- 9:12Speaker 6: that we had such a short we had such a
- 9:15Speaker 6: short period of time and the stakes were so high.
- 9:21Speaker 6: I think Pete is a phenomenal, phenomenal public servant, and
- 9:28Speaker 6: I think America is and would be ready for that.
- 9:35Speaker 6: But at when I had to make that decision with
- 9:38Speaker 6: two weeks to go, you know, and maybe I was
- 9:42Speaker 6: being too cautious. You know, I'll let our friends, we
- 9:46Speaker 6: should all talk about that. Maybe I was, But that's
- 9:51Speaker 6: the decision I made, and I'm and I, as with
- 9:53Speaker 6: everything else in the book, I'm being very candid about that. Yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 6: with a great deal of sadness about also the fact
- 10:04Speaker 6: that it might have been a risk.
- 10:05Speaker 1: So in other words, I'm not racist or bigoted. You are,
- 10:08Speaker 1: so I couldn't do what I wanted to do because
- 10:11Speaker 1: you're racist. And by the way, this would be among Democrats.
- 10:14Speaker 1: She's literally saying to democrats, y'all couldn't handle a gay man.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:20Speaker 3: And if you listen to what she said to Rachel Maddow,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and let's be clear, Rachel Mattow was pissed. Yes, she
- 10:26Speaker 3: was clearly pissed. She was trying to restrain herself, but
- 10:30Speaker 3: she was really unhappy. And and you listen, actually commonly
- 10:34Speaker 3: interrupts Rachel at Mattow and says, quote, no, no, no,
- 10:39Speaker 3: that's not what I said. That that's that he couldn't
- 10:43Speaker 3: be on the ticket because he is gay, And that
- 10:47Speaker 3: is exactly.
- 10:48Speaker 4: What she said, yep. And she said if he were,
- 10:52Speaker 4: he'd be on the ticket.
- 10:53Speaker 3: So she said, I didn't say that he couldn't be
- 10:56Speaker 3: on the ticket because he's gay. I just decided he
- 10:59Speaker 3: couldn't be on the ticket because he's gay. And so
- 11:03Speaker 3: her answer is, it's not me, it's just the voters
- 11:07Speaker 3: are are so prejudiced that that that I decided to
- 11:11Speaker 3: exclude him. But the amazing thing is that's not the
- 11:17Speaker 3: only vice presidential candidate that she excluded, again for prejudice,
- 11:22Speaker 3: And so she admits the very same thing about Josh Shapiro.
- 11:30Speaker 7: Yep.
- 11:30Speaker 3: And Josh Shapiro, Look, you and I talked about this
- 11:33Speaker 3: on the podcast. If you were a Democrat and you
- 11:37Speaker 3: wanted the Democrats to win, Look, obviously you didn't want that.
- 11:40Speaker 4: I didn't want that.
- 11:41Speaker 3: But if you wanted the Democrats to win, Josh Shapiro
- 11:44Speaker 3: was the obvious choice. He was a popular governor in Pennsylvania,
- 11:49Speaker 3: the single most important and largest swing state in the country.
- 11:53Speaker 3: And Harris wrote that she had three finalists, Shapiro, Tim Waltz,
- 12:01Speaker 3: who she picked, and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly and She
- 12:04Speaker 3: interviewed them on one by one in her vice presidential residence,
- 12:09Speaker 3: the Naval Observatory on August fourth, twenty twenty four. Two
- 12:13Speaker 3: days later, she announced the selection of Waltz. Shapiro was
- 12:17Speaker 3: apparently the first of the three she interviewed, and she
- 12:21Speaker 3: writes quote, At one point, he Shapiro mused that he
- 12:26Speaker 3: would want to be in the room for every decision.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I told him bluntly that was an unrealistic expectation. A
- 12:34Speaker 3: vice president is not a co president. I had a
- 12:37Speaker 3: nagging concern that he would be unable to settle for
- 12:40Speaker 3: a role as number two, and that it would wear
- 12:42Speaker 3: on our partnership. I had to be able to completely
- 12:45Speaker 3: trust the person in that role every day. As president,
- 12:49Speaker 3: I said, I'll have ninety nine problems, and my VP
- 12:52Speaker 3: can't be one. But then she went on to say
- 12:57Speaker 3: that the real reason she didn't pick Shapiro is that
- 13:01Speaker 3: he's Jewish. And here's what she writes in her book.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I know it's a shocker. It's surprised.
- 13:08Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, there's bigots in the Democratic Party. Never
- 13:10Speaker 1: saw that coming. Keep going, I'm ready.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Quote.
- 13:14Speaker 3: We talked about how to handle the attacks he'd confronted
- 13:17Speaker 3: on Gaza and what effect it might have on the
- 13:20Speaker 3: enthusiasm we were trying to build. Big protests at the
- 13:24Speaker 3: convention were a major concern. I understand what she's saying there.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Number One, she was worried, if I pick a jew
- 13:33Speaker 3: the problem will be what effect it might have on
- 13:37Speaker 3: the enthusiasm we were trying to build. Democrats would be furious,
- 13:41Speaker 3: how dare you pick a Jewish person as your VP.
- 13:46Speaker 3: But then the next thing she wrote is even more astonishing.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Big protests at the convention were a major concern. But
- 13:53Speaker 3: by the way, who would be protesting. It's not right wingers,
- 13:57Speaker 3: it's not the Klan. She was worried that left wing
- 14:01Speaker 3: pro Haamas sympathizers would protest at the convention, and you
- 14:04Speaker 3: know what they would have. The fundamental problem is the
- 14:08Speaker 3: pro Hamas wing of the Democrat Party has taken over
- 14:12Speaker 3: the party. And you and I said at the time,
- 14:15Speaker 3: the reason she did not pick Josh Shapiro is the
- 14:19Speaker 3: pro Hamas wing of the Democrat Party now has a
- 14:22Speaker 3: veto and they vetoed Shapiro because he is Jewish. That's
- 14:26Speaker 3: what she admits. She also says that she and Shapiro
- 14:31Speaker 3: discussed an opinion piece he had written as a twenty
- 14:34Speaker 3: year old, in which he said that the people in
- 14:35Speaker 3: Palestine quote are too battle minded to be able to
- 14:40Speaker 3: establish a peaceful homeland of their own. And to be clear,
- 14:45Speaker 3: Shapiro has since run away from that and has embraced
- 14:49Speaker 3: a two state solution. And by the way, his stated
- 14:51Speaker 3: positions on Israel are the same as hers, which is
- 14:56Speaker 3: they are all in against the government of Israel. Nonetheless,
- 15:02Speaker 3: she is unequivocal. Shapiro was vetoed because he's Jewish, and
- 15:09Speaker 3: Buddha Jedge was vetoed because he's gay, and that is
- 15:13Speaker 3: her own con confession written in her own book.
- 15:17Speaker 1: So here's my question, then, who does qualify to be president?
- 15:20Speaker 1: Because the white guy, I guess is kind of acceptable
- 15:24Speaker 1: I should say VP, but not if you're gay and
- 15:28Speaker 1: or if you're Jewish. So is it just like it's
- 15:31Speaker 1: just only people that either don't look like her or
- 15:34Speaker 1: only people that are just straight white guys. I'm really
- 15:36Speaker 1: confused now in the new Party of the Democratic like,
- 15:39Speaker 1: who is an appropriate candidate?
- 15:41Speaker 2: That's what I want to know.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Well, look, and she managed to find the weirdest white
- 15:45Speaker 3: guy she could Tim Waltz, And there's an irony because
- 15:49Speaker 3: until she picked him as VP, the only thing people
- 15:52Speaker 3: knew about Tim Waltz is that he said Republicans were weird.
- 15:56Speaker 3: That was sort of his breakthrough moment where he said
- 15:58Speaker 3: they're weird. And then suddenly he gets on the national
- 16:01Speaker 3: stage and everyone's like, holy cow, this guy. You know,
- 16:05Speaker 3: like the nickname he got of jazz hands, Like I
- 16:08Speaker 3: don't get how he like waves, but you know, you
- 16:11Speaker 3: know who he reminded me of who is the hut?
- 16:14Speaker 3: Will Ferrell on Saturday Night Live when he played the
- 16:17Speaker 3: cheerleader with Cherio Terry. Yeah, I mean, I mean that
- 16:20Speaker 3: is Tim Waltz.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yes, And.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Gosh, I almost wish he'd been on the national stage
- 16:27Speaker 3: for longer than twenty two seconds, because if they could
- 16:31Speaker 3: have brought Will Ferrell back to reprise him, he could
- 16:35Speaker 3: have done the most spectacular.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Tim Waltz. But the problem is they'd never do it.
- 16:40Speaker 3: They'd probably bring in I don't know, Brad Pitt to
- 16:44Speaker 3: play him instead, because you know, Saturday Night Live is
- 16:47Speaker 3: all about lionizing the left and attacking the right. But
- 16:50Speaker 3: if they were being honest, Will Ferrell could have done
- 16:52Speaker 3: a spectacular Tim Waltz.
- 16:54Speaker 1: All of you know that I am a pro Second
- 16:56Speaker 1: Amendment guy. I've shared on numerous occasions how caring I
- 17:00Speaker 1: firearms saved my life from a gang related attack. But
- 17:03Speaker 1: for those of you out there with family members who
- 17:06Speaker 1: may not be comfortable having a gun by their side,
- 17:09Speaker 1: you still want them to be able to protect themselves
- 17:11Speaker 1: and others in times of danger. And that's where the
- 17:14Speaker 1: Berna launcher comes in. Berna is a handheld pistol that
- 17:17Speaker 1: fires both kinetic rounds and chemical irritants to separate you
- 17:21Speaker 1: from an attacker. Berna is a handheld pistol that fires
- 17:25Speaker 1: both kinetic rounds and chemical irritants to separate you from
- 17:29Speaker 1: the attacker. I'm here today with Josh Cherard from Berna
- 17:33Speaker 1: to share the true story of how a California homeowner
- 17:36Speaker 1: used a burner launcher to stop a home intruder. Josh
- 17:40Speaker 1: tell us what happened.
- 17:41Speaker 7: You know, Bob Braid was one of the earliest adopters
- 17:43Speaker 7: of Berna back when we first started. He lived in
- 17:46Speaker 7: California in a residential suburb of LA that was pretty
- 17:50Speaker 7: prone to a lot of vagrancy, a lot of homeless
- 17:52Speaker 7: walking up and down the street. He kept to Berna's
- 17:54Speaker 7: living room, and one of these vagrants wandered in his home,
- 17:57Speaker 7: just confused, probably chunk and intoxicated. In the wrong house.
- 18:01Speaker 7: Bob was able to pull his burnet out, point it
- 18:04Speaker 7: at the intruder, who promptly backed out of the home
- 18:07Speaker 7: back into the yard. And of course it was all
- 18:09Speaker 7: taught on surveillance. You didn't even have to use the
- 18:11Speaker 7: Berna and he was able to ward off this intruder
- 18:15Speaker 7: in a situation that could have ended incredibly badly had
- 18:19Speaker 7: more force than used. This is a great demonstration of
- 18:21Speaker 7: how the lowest level of force can be used to
- 18:24Speaker 7: rectify a situation. And of course it was all thought
- 18:26Speaker 7: on video, which it makes for a great illustration of
- 18:30Speaker 7: how that burnet can be used on a day to
- 18:31Speaker 7: day basis.
- 18:32Speaker 1: There's a lot of people are going to say, well,
- 18:33Speaker 1: why wouldn't the homeowner just use a gun in this case?
- 18:36Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, one, it comes down to the legality. You know,
- 18:39Speaker 7: in this part of California, it made me very difficult
- 18:41Speaker 7: to use a gun. And then two we saw that
- 18:45Speaker 7: this intruder literally just stumbled into the wrong home in
- 18:48Speaker 7: an altered state of mind. Nobody wants to kill anybody
- 18:52Speaker 7: that doesn't need killing that they absolutely don't have to.
- 18:56Speaker 7: So this is a great instance where the burner was
- 18:58Speaker 7: able to be used. The lowest level of les legal
- 19:00Speaker 7: forces able to use recfoted situation without bringing a gun
- 19:04Speaker 7: into that situation.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I tell you I have one of these. My
- 19:07Speaker 1: family members do as well a lot of my friends.
- 19:09Speaker 1: If you want more information on how you or a
- 19:12Speaker 1: family member can protect themselves with a Berno launcher, go
- 19:15Speaker 1: to Berna by r NA dot com. That's burna dot
- 19:20Speaker 1: com by RNA dot com. Again, protect yourself and your
- 19:24Speaker 1: family burna b Why RNA dot com. Final question on this,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I I I actually kind of expected this from Kamala.
- 19:34Speaker 1: There's one consistently see with her, it's never going to
- 19:38Speaker 1: be her fault anything. You know, she had a really
- 19:42Speaker 1: hard time in the White House keeping staff with that
- 19:44Speaker 1: was well documented.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Uh, there's there a lot of the.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Staff it felt like she just chastised them and berated them.
- 19:50Speaker 1: A lot of them quit early on. There was not
- 19:53Speaker 1: like a big tenured staff there either. And now it's
- 19:57Speaker 1: not her fault. The American people didn't reject her before
- 19:59Speaker 1: I when she was running for president and had pulling
- 20:02Speaker 1: it like one or two percent, and then they're like, well,
- 20:05Speaker 1: it's not my fault that I didn't win, it's their
- 20:07Speaker 1: fault that I didn't win, and they didn't do it right.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And she also trashed her the guy who made her
- 20:14Speaker 1: into even having a chance at the White House, and
- 20:18Speaker 1: Joe Biden, and trash Joe Biden's family as well. I
- 20:21Speaker 1: think you're going to see probably some pushback from them
- 20:23Speaker 1: in the near future because this book was not flattering
- 20:27Speaker 1: of Joe Biden, who really without Joe Biden, she wouldn't
- 20:30Speaker 1: have even gotten to write this book.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Well, look, Joe Biden, I mean, let's be honest, he
- 20:37Speaker 3: can't stand Kamala Harris and he has never been able
- 20:41Speaker 3: to stand Kamala Harris. If you remember the twenty twenty
- 20:45Speaker 3: presidential primary, Kamala lit into him and basically called him
- 20:51Speaker 3: a bigoted clansman. In fact, her signature breakout moment was
- 20:56Speaker 3: when she was talking about little girls, little African American
- 21:01Speaker 3: girls being left behind and segregated schools and bussing. She said,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I was that little girl, and it was a you know,
- 21:11Speaker 3: tear down this old white bigot moment. Now it failed,
- 21:16Speaker 3: and she ended up getting I think effectively zero votes
- 21:20Speaker 3: in the Democrat primer. I don't know, maybe she got
- 21:22Speaker 3: more than zero votes, but she got zero delegates. She
- 21:25Speaker 3: dropped out before Iowa, but Biden trapped himself. So do
- 21:31Speaker 3: you know why why Kamala was was Biden's VP?
- 21:34Speaker 2: I think he had no choice.
- 21:36Speaker 1: She was going after him saying he's a racist, old
- 21:38Speaker 1: white guy, and they're like, how do we shut her up?
- 21:40Speaker 3: Okay, So I don't believe that is I'm ready. Okay, Okay,
- 21:46Speaker 3: So I have a theory. I can't prove this, but
- 21:48Speaker 3: but I feel pretty good about my theory. So Biden
- 21:52Speaker 3: had initially promised that he would pick a woman as VP.
- 21:57Speaker 4: And and listen, I.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Went back to the Democrats. They are being counters. Nobody
- 22:05Speaker 3: is an individual. You are not a human being in
- 22:09Speaker 3: their book. You are a white male Southerner conservative. You
- 22:14Speaker 3: don't even exist. Yeah, but everyone falls into a category.
- 22:19Speaker 3: And so Katanji Brown Jackson, Joe Biden promised, I'm going
- 22:22Speaker 3: to nominate a black woman to the court. Katanji becomes
- 22:24Speaker 3: Justice Jackson. Biden early on promised, I'm going to nominate
- 22:29Speaker 3: a woman as VP. And it's again, it's the it's
- 22:32Speaker 3: the everyone is their characteristic rather than who they are.
- 22:36Speaker 4: And what they say and what they believe.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I believe personally that Biden intended to pick Amy Klobuchar.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I think that when he said that that was in
- 22:48Speaker 3: his mind. He likes say they get along. And then
- 22:51Speaker 3: what happened that messed up his plan is is George
- 22:56Speaker 3: Floyd was killed, and we saw the country irrupt in violence.
- 23:00Speaker 3: We saw riots, violent riots and cities all across the
- 23:04Speaker 3: country Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots. We saw police
- 23:08Speaker 3: cars being firebombed, and suddenly it changed the dynamics of
- 23:12Speaker 3: a Democrat primary. So he was heading to be the nominee.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Maybe he was the nominee Africa. Forget the exact timeline,
- 23:19Speaker 3: but he was the nominee, and the realities of Democrat
- 23:25Speaker 3: primary politics meant suddenly it didn't just have to be
- 23:29Speaker 3: a woman, It had to be an African American woman.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yep. And he was suddenly stuck.
- 23:36Speaker 3: So if you look at the category of senators or
- 23:39Speaker 3: governors who are African American women, there was precisely one
- 23:44Speaker 3: Kamala Harris. He could choose others. He chosen their couple
- 23:49Speaker 3: of House members that he could have chosen. There are
- 23:51Speaker 3: a couple of mayors that he could have chosen, But
- 23:54Speaker 3: Joe Biden is a man of the Senate. He spent
- 23:56Speaker 3: forty years in the Senate. I think it was just
- 23:58Speaker 3: Biden was incapable of picking what he would view as
- 24:02Speaker 3: a lowly house member, a lowly mayor. It just did
- 24:05Speaker 3: that was not in his range. And he suddenly was
- 24:09Speaker 3: backed into it must be a woman. And because of
- 24:11Speaker 3: George Floyd, now it must be an African American woman.
- 24:14Speaker 3: And there was one only one choice, and that was
- 24:16Speaker 3: Kamala Harris and boom he named Kamala. But I think
- 24:21Speaker 3: Biden to this day can't stand her, and I think
- 24:25Speaker 3: she to this day can't stand him. Yeah and so
- 24:29Speaker 3: and and by the way she she was fully.
- 24:31Speaker 1: He really couldn't stand her from the very beginning. Apparently
- 24:34Speaker 1: from internal reporting, she did not want Joe Biden to
- 24:38Speaker 1: pick her, didn't like her, didn't trust her, didn't want
- 24:40Speaker 1: her to be the VP.
- 24:42Speaker 3: But he trapped her, like what other choice did he
- 24:45Speaker 3: have when he said it was going to be a woman.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Do you agree with me that as a matter of
- 24:48Speaker 3: Democrat politics after George Floyd, it had to be an
- 24:51Speaker 3: African American.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I mean, I think they panned her so much in
- 24:55Speaker 1: their world. Yes, and I think, like you said, it
- 24:57Speaker 1: had to be a woman. And if you look at
- 24:59Speaker 1: that list, who's on that list is at that level.
- 25:02Speaker 2: And yeah, and also.
- 25:04Speaker 3: It's literally a set of It's literally a set of one.
- 25:08Speaker 3: What he could have picked Karen bass now, the mayor
- 25:10Speaker 3: of Los Angeles, who was this you know, Marxist, Fidel
- 25:14Speaker 3: Castro loving house member, like like Biden was not going
- 25:18Speaker 3: to do that. Yeah, and and and so he was stuck.
- 25:22Speaker 3: But but and let's be clear, when Biden cratered, So
- 25:29Speaker 3: for most of the Biden presidency, the president froze kamalad everything.
- 25:34Speaker 3: They couldn't stand her. She was screwing up, she she
- 25:36Speaker 3: was losing staff, she she every time she did an interview,
- 25:40Speaker 3: she messed it up. And so they just frozed her out.
- 25:45Speaker 4: And so then.
- 25:47Speaker 3: When Biden had his disastrous debate with Trump, look it
- 25:52Speaker 3: was Kamala who was quite eager. She let others actually
- 25:55Speaker 3: plunge the knife in. It was Nancy Pelosi and Chuck
- 25:58Speaker 3: Schumer and others that that finish the job of a
- 26:02Speaker 3: tube brute and stabbed Biden in the back and took
- 26:05Speaker 3: him out. Although to be clear, and longtime listeners a
- 26:08Speaker 3: verdict will remember this. Ben, You and I did a
- 26:11Speaker 3: special podcast the night of that debate, YEP, where we
- 26:15Speaker 3: predicted that night we said, this show will go down
- 26:19Speaker 3: as the most consequential debate in presidential history. Why because
- 26:24Speaker 3: this debate changed the names that will be on the
- 26:26Speaker 3: ballot in November, and we predicted that night within an
- 26:30Speaker 3: hour of the debate, Joe Biden will not be on
- 26:33Speaker 3: the ballot November because of this debate. By the way,
- 26:35Speaker 3: we'd been predicting for a year that the Democrats would
- 26:38Speaker 3: pull Biden, and a bunch of the corporate media had
- 26:41Speaker 3: been mocking us, and to be clear, me in particular
- 26:46Speaker 3: for saying that, And of course that prediction proved right.
- 26:50Speaker 3: But Kamala, the bad blood between them is real and
- 26:55Speaker 3: it's significant, So she's evening a score there. But it
- 27:01Speaker 3: is amazing how she can readily admit she excluded Shapiro
- 27:08Speaker 3: because he's Jewish and Buddhagic because he's gay, and yet
- 27:12Speaker 3: she can nonetheless feel self righteous that theirs is the
- 27:16Speaker 3: party of inclusion and it's the Republicans that are intolerant
- 27:20Speaker 3: and hateful, and it's just it just falls all right.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I want to pivot real quick to something that just
- 27:27Speaker 1: truly is hysterical, and that is ABC News. We thought
- 27:32Speaker 1: they had actually done the right thing, and we're willing
- 27:35Speaker 1: to say that it Yet, No, Jimmy Kimmel, you're not
- 27:38Speaker 1: going to go out there and lie about who assassinated
- 27:42Speaker 1: and what they believed in of Charlie Kirk. We now
- 27:46Speaker 1: know that the sin for doing that, for that crime
- 27:49Speaker 1: is a sentence of going on a vacation for about
- 27:53Speaker 1: six days, so less than a week. And ABC News like,
- 27:57Speaker 1: all right, we started back up on Tuesday night. Now here,
- 28:00Speaker 1: here's the other instant thing. Not everybody's going along with this.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Next star in Sinclair are saying no, they're not going
- 28:07Speaker 1: to be hearing it.
- 28:08Speaker 2: They want and a real.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Apology for him before they think about putting him back
- 28:12Speaker 1: on the air.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Your reaction to.
- 28:14Speaker 3: That, well, you and I are recording this show Tuesday night,
- 28:19Speaker 3: and as we're recording it, Kimmel has not yet gone
- 28:21Speaker 3: on air, So I don't know what he's going to say.
- 28:26Speaker 3: He might do all sorts of things. He might stand
- 28:29Speaker 3: up and give a heartfelt apology. He might admit that
- 28:35Speaker 3: in his last show he told a lie. He engaged
- 28:39Speaker 3: in active disinformation. His sort of joke, which wasn't remotely funny,
- 28:47Speaker 3: was that the murderer of Charlie Kirk was a right
- 28:50Speaker 3: wing maga guy. Now that's a lie, and it's a
- 28:55Speaker 3: lie with consequence. I mean, we've seen the polling that
- 28:58Speaker 3: shows a majority of Democrats believe Charlie Kirk's killer was
- 29:02Speaker 3: a right winger. Now that is a brazen lie. Charlie
- 29:05Speaker 3: Kirk's killer was radicalized. He was a leftist. Law enforcement
- 29:09Speaker 3: has said this over and over again. He was living
- 29:13Speaker 3: with his boyfriend who was a transgender, who was a furry,
- 29:16Speaker 3: who was a man transitioning to be a woman. The
- 29:19Speaker 3: killer engraved Antifa and transgender slogans on the casings that
- 29:25Speaker 3: he used for the assassination. So there's no ambiguity. This
- 29:30Speaker 3: is a man of the left. And so maybe, maybe,
- 29:33Speaker 3: just maybe, and I may be holding out hope. Kimmel
- 29:37Speaker 3: stands up and gives a heartfelt apology, says I'm sorry,
- 29:41Speaker 3: and what happened to Charlie Kirk was horrific. It was
- 29:44Speaker 3: a political assassination. It is wrong, and it's clear this
- 29:49Speaker 3: was not some right winger who did this. This was
- 29:51Speaker 3: a leftist this is my side of the aisle. This
- 29:54Speaker 3: is Jimmy Kimmel speaking, and I'm sorry. If that happens,
- 29:57Speaker 3: I think the odds are very very high. You and I,
- 30:00Speaker 3: almost regardless of what happens, are going to be talking
- 30:02Speaker 3: about this on Friday's pod.
- 30:05Speaker 4: So on Friday will know what he said. We don't
- 30:08Speaker 4: know what he said right now.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I think that's unlikely. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but
- 30:13Speaker 3: I think it's unlikely that Kimmel. He may give a
- 30:16Speaker 3: half hearted apology. He may say I'm sorry some people
- 30:19Speaker 3: were offended. Maybe I actually think he's more likely to
- 30:22Speaker 3: be defiant and say, to hell with you everyone who
- 30:26Speaker 3: was offended by the lies that I told. But we'll
- 30:29Speaker 3: see what I will say. Look my view on Kimmel,
- 30:34Speaker 3: I think he is profoundly unfunny. He hasn't been funny
- 30:37Speaker 3: in years. There was a long time ago when he
- 30:40Speaker 3: could be a comedian, a thousand years ago, but then
- 30:44Speaker 3: partisanship and hate overcame him, and his show consists of
- 30:50Speaker 3: just relentlessly screaming I hate Donald Trump. I hate Donald Trump,
- 30:54Speaker 3: I hate Conservatives, I hate Republicans. By the way, frequently
- 30:58Speaker 3: I hate Ted Cruz. Ever since I beat him at basketball.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I've lived rent free in his head.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Uh.
- 31:06Speaker 3: And the problem is, listen, I'm as a Republican, I'm
- 31:09Speaker 3: actually fine with comedy that is roasting Republicans and Democrats.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I think good comedy makes fun of everyone. Actually, today
- 31:19Speaker 3: I retweeted so so so John Stewart did a whole
- 31:23Speaker 3: riff on The Daily Show blasting me, and it was
- 31:27Speaker 3: funny as hell. He actually played a clip from our
- 31:29Speaker 3: last verdict, uh where.
- 31:34Speaker 4: You know where where I.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Talked about Kim Elenna and I did an impression of
- 31:39Speaker 3: of of of a godfather. Actually, I'll tell you what.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Let's play John Stewart, because this is actually comedy.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Listen.
- 31:47Speaker 3: I don't agree with John Stewart's politics, but Stuart is
- 31:51Speaker 3: actually funny. I mean he makes me laugh and and
- 31:54Speaker 3: and and so let's play the clip. I'm gonna play clip.
- 31:57Speaker 3: This is making fun of me, but to all our
- 31:59Speaker 3: our vertical listeners, this is me playing John Stewart, just
- 32:03Speaker 3: mocking me, and he does a very good job. He's
- 32:05Speaker 3: a talented comedian. I'm perfectly fine with comedians who mock me,
- 32:09Speaker 3: as long as that's not all they do, as long
- 32:11Speaker 3: as they don't just scream.
- 32:13Speaker 4: I hate you.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I hate you, I hate you, but they're actually funny.
- 32:16Speaker 3: So here was John Stewart on the Daily Show talking
- 32:20Speaker 3: about he's going to quote verdict and then he's just
- 32:22Speaker 3: going to mercilessly mock me.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Give a listen.
- 32:26Speaker 8: Now, Cruz has supported this president through insults to his
- 32:30Speaker 8: own wife's looks and to his own father's loyalties, and
- 32:35Speaker 8: yet Cruz still manages to maintain a modicum of self
- 32:38Speaker 8: respect when it comes to this president trampling all over
- 32:41Speaker 8: a constitution, Sir, it brings me no pleasure.
- 32:46Speaker 4: To have to play this. Look. I like Brendan Carr.
- 32:49Speaker 3: He's a good guy. He's the chairman of the FCC.
- 32:51Speaker 3: I work closely with him. But what he said there
- 32:55Speaker 3: is dangerous as hell.
- 32:58Speaker 9: Fantastic, fantastic, Senator Ted Druz boldly stating that the FCC
- 33:09Speaker 9: chairman threatening the licenses of networks is dangerous, and Senator Cruz,
- 33:13Speaker 9: I would just say, maybe you should stop there.
- 33:16Speaker 10: I would stop there. I would not continue with the
- 33:19Speaker 10: thought perfect no notes, all right, go on.
- 33:25Speaker 3: And I gotta say he threatens it. He says we
- 33:29Speaker 3: can do this the easy way, but we could do
- 33:32Speaker 3: this the hard way.
- 33:38Speaker 10: The fuck.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Sort of rerep the hard way. Oh, what kind of monster.
- 33:48Speaker 10: Have you ever heard?
- 33:51Speaker 11: We can do it DoD Way, We could do it
- 33:55Speaker 11: day bright, DoD Way, easy odd.
- 34:00Speaker 10: That's not the Godfather that Lenny from Mice and Men.
- 34:06Speaker 11: I get bunny. Your bunny can do a daisydd Way.
- 34:18Speaker 10: You got more, Senator, don't you?
- 34:20Speaker 3: And I got to say, that's right out of good Fellows?
- 34:22Speaker 3: That that that that's right out of a mafioso coming
- 34:25Speaker 3: into a bar going nice bye.
- 34:27Speaker 4: You have here. It'd be a shame if something happened
- 34:30Speaker 4: to him.
- 34:34Speaker 2: That's not a good Fellaw's quote.
- 34:38Speaker 10: I know this because all of my decorative.
- 34:40Speaker 11: Pillows have good Fellaw's quot karma.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I mean, I would go home.
- 34:46Speaker 7: I would say, that's me at home.
- 34:47Speaker 6: Look at me, not Senator.
- 34:53Speaker 10: A lesser man might tell you to go home and
- 34:55Speaker 10: get your shine.
- 34:55Speaker 11: Box, but I don't because you wouldn't even know what
- 34:58Speaker 11: that needs dead cruise.
- 35:01Speaker 10: I mean to do that with Goodfellas, with that accent.
- 35:04Speaker 8: Is there anything in pop culture that I love that
- 35:06Speaker 8: you can't ruin?
- 35:08Speaker 6: Dad?
- 35:09Speaker 3: I'm a vegetarian.
- 35:11Speaker 7: I don't eat animals.
- 35:12Speaker 4: But Lisa, animals are so delicious.
- 35:16Speaker 3: There's the animal we get bacon from the animal, we
- 35:19Speaker 3: get a ham from the animal, we get sausage from dad.
- 35:24Speaker 2: That's all the same animal.
- 35:26Speaker 12: Smithers, release the hounds eggs.
- 35:38Speaker 10: They're not booing, they're saying boo earns. Imagine having to
- 35:49Speaker 10: endure a Texas power outage with this guy who wants
- 35:53Speaker 10: to hear my apoo anyone. Well, they ruined my love
- 35:58Speaker 10: of the sentence. At least I've still got my favorite franchise,
- 36:00Speaker 10: Star Wars, all to myself, So I don't have The.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Force is strong with this word. There is no try do.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Or do not.
- 36:19Speaker 10: At best, he sounds like Yoda with a sinus infection,
- 36:26Speaker 10: trying not to come.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Your duke.
- 36:39Speaker 10: You may enjoy Star Wars at Chris, but there's one
- 36:41Speaker 10: thing will never have in common, and that's my comfort movie.
- 36:43Speaker 10: The Princess Briane, a fantastical tale of adventure and true
- 36:46Speaker 10: love with an outstanding cast and oh you.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Know what's coming? You know what's coming with.
- 36:53Speaker 10: An outstanding cast, including the inimitable Oh just roll it.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Why is it you have so worth living for?
- 37:02Speaker 12: He presses on his chest and Wesley goes true, Long.
- 37:08Speaker 4: Shut up, witch, I'm not a witch.
- 37:09Speaker 7: I'm your wife.
- 37:10Speaker 3: But after what you just said, I wish I wasn't.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Don't say that name what humping hopping, humpet it.
- 37:13Speaker 4: I can't hear you, So.
- 37:17Speaker 11: WHOA, that was a strange I'm like, oh, the One
- 37:21Speaker 11: Man Show.
- 37:27Speaker 10: Do you know how hard it is to make Mario
- 37:30Speaker 10: Lopez uncomfortable? Truly, Mario Lopez, the man who need I
- 37:42Speaker 10: remind you did this dance in a tank tee in
- 37:45Speaker 10: front of everyone at the Max.
- 37:51Speaker 1: All Right, I gotta say I'm laughing a little bit
- 37:54Speaker 1: because it is pretty good road, so I'm not gonna lie.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Look, Ben, that's hysterical. I do like to do impressions.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I'm not particularly great at him, but I have fun
- 38:04Speaker 3: and I like pop culture. But like, that's actual comedy.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Like I'm going to make a prediction right now. What
- 38:11Speaker 3: John Stewart just did there is one hundred thousand times
- 38:15Speaker 3: funnier than whatever Jimmy Kimmel will do tonight. So we'll
- 38:21Speaker 3: see what he does. But look, the point that I
- 38:26Speaker 3: made in this podcast is the federal government, the FCC,
- 38:32Speaker 3: should not be threatening the licenses of ABC in order
- 38:37Speaker 3: to force them to take someone off the air, even
- 38:39Speaker 3: someone incredibly unfunny with terrible ratings, who gets one point
- 38:42Speaker 3: one million views, which means he gets fewer views and
- 38:47Speaker 3: listens than Verdict. Does we beat Jimmy Kimmel regularly and
- 38:53Speaker 3: someone who was actively lying about a political assassination. I
- 38:57Speaker 3: think all of those are reasons for ABC to fire him,
- 39:01Speaker 3: But I don't think the federal government should be forcing
- 39:04Speaker 3: ABC to fire him. Why because look, when Biden was president,
- 39:08Speaker 3: the Biden FCC tried to yank Fox News's license and
- 39:14Speaker 3: I led the fight against it. We beat them, we
- 39:16Speaker 3: stopped them from doing it. You know what, if we
- 39:19Speaker 3: embrace the FCC stripping licenses from anyone who says something
- 39:23Speaker 3: you disagree with, the next Democrat president who gets in
- 39:26Speaker 3: the White House will do this and will come after,
- 39:29Speaker 3: will come after everyone right of center, And so that
- 39:32Speaker 3: is that is a slippery slope to oblivion. But at
- 39:37Speaker 3: the same time, understand, just because I'm saying the federal
- 39:40Speaker 3: government shouldn't force Kimmel off the air, I think market
- 39:44Speaker 3: forces should. And it's interesting that that sixty six ABC
- 39:50Speaker 3: stations did not carry the Kimmel program tonight. And if
- 39:54Speaker 3: there are enough market forces, ABC ultimately will respond to them.
- 39:59Speaker 3: I think market forces are a great check for horrific, unfunny, partisan,
- 40:05Speaker 3: dishonest speech. And by the way, if you're dishonest enough,
- 40:08Speaker 3: there could also be legal liability and litigation and all
- 40:11Speaker 3: sorts of consequences that come when you lie on air.
- 40:14Speaker 3: I just don't think it should be government regulators saying
- 40:17Speaker 3: we don't agree with the politics of your speech, so
- 40:20Speaker 3: we're taking your license. But that being said, the world
- 40:24Speaker 3: is better off without an unfunny, dishonest left wing partisan
- 40:30Speaker 3: who lies to the American people. And sadly, there was
- 40:34Speaker 3: a time when Jimmy Kimmel could be funny, but that's
- 40:37Speaker 3: what he has become.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah, great point.
