- 0:00Speaker 1: My guest there the show to day is You're Londa Ross.
- 0:02Speaker 1: She's an actress, writer, director, and activist who was starting
- 0:05Speaker 1: Netflix to Get Down, which I enjoyed, abs how ABC
- 0:09Speaker 1: is How to Get Away with Murdered Lifetimes When Own
- 0:11Speaker 1: and Own and Owing and on. She's also currently car
- 0:14Speaker 1: starting in a very popular Showtime hit drama, The Shy
- 0:18Speaker 1: Move by personal Relationships and our character. On the show,
- 0:21Speaker 1: she got involved with Chicago's w OC Breast Cancer Survivor
- 0:25Speaker 1: community and inspired over one hundred thousand dollars in donations
- 0:28Speaker 1: from the Fineberg Foundation, the three grassroots organizations in Chicago
- 0:34Speaker 1: this season on the Shore, the show deals deeply into
- 0:38Speaker 1: many joys and complications of black love. Please welcome to
- 0:43Speaker 1: Money Making Conversation master Class, the expert on the show
- 0:46Speaker 1: because she's head highs that she has had loads. You're
- 0:49Speaker 1: Londa Ross. How are you doing in London? First of all,
- 0:55Speaker 1: thank you for coming on Money Make Conversation mastically. How
- 0:57Speaker 1: are you doing to day? I don't know. I'm here
- 1:00Speaker 1: in l a um working, so that's great, which is
- 1:04Speaker 1: really great. You know, I did just just set back
- 1:07Speaker 1: a couple of years because you know, when the COVID
- 1:10Speaker 1: hit you know, and the world shut down. There's a
- 1:13Speaker 1: lot of uncertainty. How did you I gotta I gotta
- 1:16Speaker 1: have that. You share that with my fans? How did
- 1:19Speaker 1: you deal with that? A whole uncertainty period and the
- 1:22Speaker 1: the embargo from working and actually traveling in your in
- 1:26Speaker 1: your in the work that you were trying to accomplish
- 1:28Speaker 1: being a successful actor, writer and director. You know, it
- 1:32Speaker 1: was funny because, um, I always start the year off
- 1:37Speaker 1: in Los Angeles because so much is happening at the
- 1:39Speaker 1: top of the year here, and um, you know, so
- 1:43Speaker 1: I went to the place with a friend and we
- 1:45Speaker 1: were just like, you know, we're gonna have a great
- 1:47Speaker 1: you know, summer and then go off to work afterwards.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And when things started to shut down, you know, nobody
- 1:57Speaker 1: thought it was gonna be as long as it was,
- 1:59Speaker 1: so you know, I just took the time to you know,
- 2:02Speaker 1: do pre us with the show, um, because we were
- 2:05Speaker 1: still airing at the same time. UM, lots of walks,
- 2:10Speaker 1: um nature and uh. I was still kind of pushing
- 2:16Speaker 1: to you know, make appointment to do things for my
- 2:18Speaker 1: own projects. But as time went on, you know, the
- 2:23Speaker 1: uncertainty really started to show itself because people didn't know
- 2:27Speaker 1: what was happening when things would get back you know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: um back on track, and they didn't want to make
- 2:34Speaker 1: any moves. So you really found yourself shutting down, sitting down,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, knowing that there's no into this that we
- 2:45Speaker 1: see or know of, and um, you know, just in
- 2:48Speaker 1: the back of my head, I was like, well, you know,
- 2:51Speaker 1: by this time, we should be back to work, like
- 2:54Speaker 1: we have to figure something out by a certain time.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And you know, that time went by, and uh, I
- 3:02Speaker 1: was like, well, I'm gonna go stay with my family
- 3:04Speaker 1: because I forgot this time and I don't ever get
- 3:08Speaker 1: to do that for as long as I did. I
- 3:11Speaker 1: think I stayed with my parents about like seven months.
- 3:15Speaker 1: That's a long time. It's a long long time now.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You know. Interesting thing about you as an actress is
- 3:22Speaker 1: I've been fortunate to work around a lot of talented
- 3:24Speaker 1: actress and sitcom and drama in movies. And when I
- 3:27Speaker 1: watch you, one of the great gifts that you have
- 3:30Speaker 1: is your face. You know, you your face tells a
- 3:33Speaker 1: lot of stories even when you're not speaking. Is that
- 3:37Speaker 1: am I accurate and saying that's That's one of your
- 3:40Speaker 1: great attributes is do you have a very animated face
- 3:42Speaker 1: your eyes to be happy. They could be sad, but
- 3:46Speaker 1: they still deliver on script and with their words they
- 3:49Speaker 1: only deliver more magic. Comment on that, Yeah, I think
- 3:54Speaker 1: you're exactly right, um, and something I've been told from
- 3:58Speaker 1: the beginning, right, And I'm expressive in that way. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: and I think I use it because it's like I
- 4:07Speaker 1: think about everything that comes to me, UM said to me.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So you can see my mind working through my face
- 4:15Speaker 1: right processing, right, So you know you don't need to
- 4:19Speaker 1: say as much. UM, I don't. I don't feel you know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you don't need as many words all the time. Well,
- 4:25Speaker 1: use it, I use it. That's true. But I think
- 4:28Speaker 1: that what what what I like is that especially in
- 4:31Speaker 1: the drama series. You know, sitcoms are differently you gotta
- 4:34Speaker 1: move fast. Drama allows you to, you know, building the more.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I always telling people differently sitcoms and dramas that in
- 4:41Speaker 1: the sitcom when they when the doorbell rings, they at
- 4:44Speaker 1: the door, and the drama doorbell rings, they walked to
- 4:47Speaker 1: the door and you actually see them walk through the door.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And yeah, and that's the big difference because it's about
- 4:51Speaker 1: movement and speed and then watching you in this upcoming season,
- 4:55Speaker 1: that season five on this shot, I'm speaking with you
- 4:59Speaker 1: Land the Ross is the incredible. Um, I wasn't. I
- 5:02Speaker 1: wouldn't see the word animated because she she plays a
- 5:05Speaker 1: low key but very uh, very proud, hard working single mom,
- 5:10Speaker 1: correct who's dealing with life issues. And we've seen your
- 5:14Speaker 1: character evolved to this point. But before I get into
- 5:17Speaker 1: the season five, let's talk about the overall first fourth season,
- 5:21Speaker 1: because I've been the fancies day wont and the series
- 5:26Speaker 1: has kind of changed because of the fact you could
- 5:28Speaker 1: correct me. It felt very unsafe and all the characters
- 5:32Speaker 1: felt very unsafe. The first two seasons. A lot of violence,
- 5:36Speaker 1: a lot of uncertainty. You had these young kids running
- 5:39Speaker 1: around and every I didn't know if they survived the
- 5:41Speaker 1: next episode, would they be a sad sad sad the
- 5:45Speaker 1: testament of the violence of Chicago. So what have you noticed?
- 5:49Speaker 1: And let's start with season one and this season two,
- 5:51Speaker 1: season three, season four, the changes in each season and
- 5:55Speaker 1: has impacted your character in London? Is that all right
- 5:58Speaker 1: to talk like that? Yeah? And you know, and I
- 6:02Speaker 1: agree with you. I think the uncertainty of people making
- 6:06Speaker 1: it through the season. You know, it's like, who's gonna
- 6:10Speaker 1: be off this season? We'll be right back with more
- 6:13Speaker 1: Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rushan McDonald. Now, let's return
- 6:20Speaker 1: to Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rushan McDonald. And Chicago
- 6:25Speaker 1: was a beautiful city during the summer, amazing food. But
- 6:28Speaker 1: in the black community, it's a tremendous amount of black violence,
- 6:31Speaker 1: especially during the holidays in the summer. Yeah, I mean
- 6:35Speaker 1: it's it's it's unfortunate, but it's I feel like it's
- 6:39Speaker 1: not just Chicago, you know, um people, I don't know
- 6:45Speaker 1: what's going on with people, especially like after COVID it
- 6:48Speaker 1: seems like it's gotten worse where people don't care about
- 6:52Speaker 1: life or I don't know, if it's just that they're
- 6:55Speaker 1: not thinking of the realities of what you do that
- 7:00Speaker 1: you know that could be it for somebody. Um. So yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 1: there there is a lot of violence happening everywhere. Okay,
- 7:07Speaker 1: So you get cast in this great series season one
- 7:11Speaker 1: and we know as actors, I know, as a writer,
- 7:13Speaker 1: you know, you know, you don't buy anything because you
- 7:16Speaker 1: don't know if that's gonna last. You know, you kind
- 7:17Speaker 1: of like you just put in the bank and pray
- 7:20Speaker 1: a lot and hopefully you know this is the one
- 7:22Speaker 1: because I've been on shows at great ratings and somebodw
- 7:24Speaker 1: somebody with you know, that's not right for our network. Huh.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I thought this is the one, this is the one
- 7:30Speaker 1: to go keep, get to my house, get to my
- 7:32Speaker 1: real car. You know. So season one, let's talk about
- 7:35Speaker 1: your character and what did you see and expect and
- 7:38Speaker 1: did you get the things that you wanted out of
- 7:40Speaker 1: the first season. Let's talk about the first season. Yeah, well,
- 7:43Speaker 1: you know, when I got a part um, it was
- 7:47Speaker 1: one of two things that I had read in the
- 7:49Speaker 1: year as far as auditioning that made sense to me
- 7:53Speaker 1: and that I really liked and responded to. So you know,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I didn't get it at first, and it came back
- 8:01Speaker 1: around at the end of the year where it just
- 8:04Speaker 1: all happened really fast, and to get to do it,
- 8:08Speaker 1: and then working with Jacob as immit, it's just all
- 8:13Speaker 1: a handful, by the way, a handful. That dude is
- 8:21Speaker 1: so funny. Um, he's such a joy to work with,
- 8:26Speaker 1: where it's like, you know, if you are in a
- 8:28Speaker 1: bad mood for any reason, that will not last around him,
- 8:33Speaker 1: will not last, cannot last. He is a joy. So
- 8:39Speaker 1: you know, the dynamic of those two I just think
- 8:41Speaker 1: it is so special because we all know single mothers
- 8:46Speaker 1: with sons. We all know single mothers, so you know,
- 8:50Speaker 1: a lot of times that child is everything. Well I
- 8:54Speaker 1: mean not a lot of times that that child is
- 8:56Speaker 1: everything to that person. You know, um, she is pretty
- 9:00Speaker 1: texting him. He is her company. You know, he is
- 9:04Speaker 1: her partner. They are in it together. And I just
- 9:07Speaker 1: thought it was really important to show that, and I
- 9:11Speaker 1: felt like, you know, we did that. And also the
- 9:14Speaker 1: fact that, you know, especially first season, when he had
- 9:16Speaker 1: so much going on with the baby's mama's and all
- 9:19Speaker 1: that stuff, it was like how she was hands off,
- 9:23Speaker 1: like letting him. You know, she was there for him,
- 9:26Speaker 1: but at the same time, you handle your He was
- 9:29Speaker 1: a very frustrating character that first season, okay, because because
- 9:33Speaker 1: sex was his number one missing Okay, And as a
- 9:38Speaker 1: as a single moment was killing you. It was killing you.
- 9:40Speaker 1: And as a view I was going, come on, really
- 9:43Speaker 1: really well, yeah, more kids than she did. Absolutely, at
- 9:48Speaker 1: least you would take care of your kids and had
- 9:50Speaker 1: a job as a job. He didn't have neither, Okay,
- 9:53Speaker 1: And that was a high maturity factor. You're a good
- 9:55Speaker 1: looking kid, and I was just saying that that's how
- 9:57Speaker 1: it plays out in community a lot of time all
- 9:59Speaker 1: this island, but where is it going? All he's doing
- 10:02Speaker 1: is repopulating community, create more debt and unwarranted kids because
- 10:06Speaker 1: nobody is there to take care of That was the
- 10:08Speaker 1: first season. And then your relationship with your ex, which
- 10:11Speaker 1: started to start to build to build, was like, I
- 10:15Speaker 1: didn't know where that was going now when they introduced
- 10:18Speaker 1: that character, And did you see a particular arc that
- 10:22Speaker 1: they was talking about doing with it or they just
- 10:24Speaker 1: said we're gonna bring it in okay, And how did
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know? You know, we don't know, um. And also
- 10:32Speaker 1: I feel when you're doing things on the series, seeing
- 10:36Speaker 1: how people work together and sparks off helps the writers,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you know, right well, you know the interesting thing about
- 10:45Speaker 1: it just left. When you've been on a series this long,
- 10:49Speaker 1: some of the relationships do feel like family, you know,
- 10:52Speaker 1: especially when the characters play a certain role in your
- 10:56Speaker 1: in your there was season five of this series. You know,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I feel that that journey we all know your actors
- 11:04Speaker 1: and actresses, feels like there's a real emotional connection and
- 11:08Speaker 1: you and very relatable. Who are your thoughts on that?
- 11:13Speaker 1: We are we are totally a family, like we are totally.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I mean, especially the three of us, uh, myself, Jacob,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and Lando, we get along so well. The two of
- 11:24Speaker 1: them go off and do things and it's like it's
- 11:27Speaker 1: like I'm the wife at home doing whatever, and the
- 11:30Speaker 1: boys go off and do their things and then we
- 11:32Speaker 1: meet it for dinner or something like that. So it's
- 11:35Speaker 1: it's just really nice to see and it plays through
- 11:39Speaker 1: our characters. I feel, you know, um, we have an
- 11:44Speaker 1: ease with each other on the screen and in in
- 11:47Speaker 1: scenes that you know, we can do little playful things
- 11:51Speaker 1: and you know that it's it's part of the characters,
- 11:54Speaker 1: but it's also it's genuine. So you could just sort
- 11:58Speaker 1: of be yourself, but you're self as the character, right
- 12:02Speaker 1: And and I think that that's what you know when
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm watching you as a single mom, I'm watching you
- 12:07Speaker 1: as a frustrated parent, I'm watching you as a seeing
- 12:10Speaker 1: a person that I found very relatable. I'm talking about
- 12:12Speaker 1: your son, and then I'm watching the world. Because the
- 12:16Speaker 1: show took a shift when some of the characters left
- 12:18Speaker 1: the series, and I think it would I think it
- 12:21Speaker 1: for the good, I'll be honest with you, because it
- 12:23Speaker 1: allowed us to focus on family dynamics and I think
- 12:27Speaker 1: that's what drives to show now family parenting, and I
- 12:31Speaker 1: agree and that that's been important to me. So let's
- 12:33Speaker 1: let's talk about that whole parenting, that family dynamic, because
- 12:36Speaker 1: that's why, that's why I'm a fan, not saying I
- 12:38Speaker 1: want a fan of the beginning, but sometimes when I
- 12:41Speaker 1: find things that are relatable to me, Ya Landa, I'm
- 12:44Speaker 1: more engaged. It's it's true, you know, Um, I feel
- 12:48Speaker 1: like the first I mean, the second season you started
- 12:52Speaker 1: to see some of the family stuff about. But I
- 12:55Speaker 1: would say the first season it really was about sort
- 12:59Speaker 1: of like the street and what's happening. Yeah, yeah, And
- 13:04Speaker 1: then you know, second season you started to see the
- 13:07Speaker 1: background of these people who their families were, those dynamics,
- 13:12Speaker 1: and then um, you know, third season we were in
- 13:16Speaker 1: it and then introduced more characters and more themes. Uh.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Last season, I think the family thing really started to
- 13:24Speaker 1: hit home, you know, because you see uh Jake's family,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you know, with do To and how that was I got.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm a fan of that guy. I am such a
- 13:38Speaker 1: fan of that I he says he entered the room
- 13:43Speaker 1: like nobody else on It's sort of like Dracula up
- 13:49Speaker 1: at that dude, right there. I fell in love with
- 13:52Speaker 1: last season. Candy Burrows was fired. Okay, she was straight fired.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I was like that whole run with the marit off
- 13:59Speaker 1: of weight when you came in as a politician, was
- 14:02Speaker 1: you her character and Papa and his dad. It was
- 14:05Speaker 1: a lot of you know, it was a lot of
- 14:07Speaker 1: grandeur last season. But it was something that I enjoyed
- 14:10Speaker 1: because Chicago was like that. They took me back to
- 14:12Speaker 1: the Harold Washington days where black politics were powerful and
- 14:17Speaker 1: black people ran city hall and dooda ooh that ball
- 14:21Speaker 1: right there. Now, come on, yeah, the the's the two
- 14:25Speaker 1: sides of dooda. Um, you know all of that. Then
- 14:30Speaker 1: it's still you know, still family was there, you know
- 14:33Speaker 1: because of you know, Marcus whose Jimma's dad, and then
- 14:38Speaker 1: you know my family was going through a certain thing
- 14:41Speaker 1: with the cancer and all that. It just it was
- 14:44Speaker 1: really interesting to see all the dynamics. We'll be right
- 14:46Speaker 1: back with more Money Making Conversations Master Class with Rushan McDonald.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Now let's return to Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rashan McDonald.
- 14:58Speaker 1: You know that when I look at back to your storyline,
- 15:01Speaker 1: which which which to me? You know, when I look
- 15:04Speaker 1: at it. When I look at your storyline, you know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: it's kind of like kind of ties everybody together. And
- 15:11Speaker 1: now we're going to season five, you know, because of
- 15:13Speaker 1: the fact that season five, it is when they sent
- 15:17Speaker 1: me the bio over about the series that they mentioned
- 15:19Speaker 1: Black Love. And I've been fortunate to see the first
- 15:21Speaker 1: three episodes, and I'm telling everybody, UH, can't wait, show
- 15:26Speaker 1: up DVR, make sure you make sure you watch the
- 15:29Speaker 1: first three. That's what I've been fortunate to watch. And
- 15:32Speaker 1: there are some nice moments consistently in the series that
- 15:36Speaker 1: attracts me to the series. More importantly, the development of
- 15:40Speaker 1: your character in season five, and we've always seen you
- 15:44Speaker 1: with these emotional highs. You know. I thought the first
- 15:47Speaker 1: season was by parenting, and then they evolved to you
- 15:50Speaker 1: being a survivor, and now this is about love. I
- 15:53Speaker 1: think a season for you. Correct. Yeah, and love is messy.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I you know, you got to see it. I haven't
- 16:06Speaker 1: seen it yet. Well I'll tell you girl, you gonna
- 16:08Speaker 1: love it. They've got some girlfriend scenes in there. I could,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I could. I loved it, y'all felt so you know
- 16:17Speaker 1: what I'm saying that you know that goes back to
- 16:19Speaker 1: the uh it felt so fun. If that was a
- 16:23Speaker 1: show too, in the sales right there, if I got
- 16:25Speaker 1: to put a camera and there and just watch women
- 16:27Speaker 1: talk about relationships. I never saw that. You know, you
- 16:31Speaker 1: see a lot of TV, you see a lot of movies,
- 16:34Speaker 1: you see a lot of fun stuff. It was so engaging.
- 16:37Speaker 1: So I've seen that. What was it like when you
- 16:40Speaker 1: was doing those scenes, those girlfriend type scenes? Was it
- 16:45Speaker 1: live all scripted? Well, it's totally scripted. Um, it's just
- 16:51Speaker 1: funny when you're because I don't always have scenes with
- 16:55Speaker 1: all of them, you know, I'm usually like a one
- 16:58Speaker 1: on one person in my scenes, and so it's funny
- 17:03Speaker 1: to hear the different dynamics to focus on one person
- 17:08Speaker 1: during the whole thing and see what they're doing. Because
- 17:11Speaker 1: as an actor, you're you're fully engaged in the moment,
- 17:15Speaker 1: but like, what are they doing in this moment while
- 17:18Speaker 1: we're you know, talking about all this stuff, and as
- 17:22Speaker 1: the character, you know, all of it's just it's just
- 17:24Speaker 1: very interesting for me to see it and and to
- 17:27Speaker 1: see how they how they deal with the things that
- 17:32Speaker 1: we're talking about. So, yeah, I thought they were fun.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I mean, there's you saw one through three. There's some
- 17:39Speaker 1: towards the end that are really hilarious. Well, you know
- 17:41Speaker 1: the thing about it, I can't wait now now, And
- 17:45Speaker 1: that that's why I like about the series now because
- 17:48Speaker 1: the series was about the city not as serious to
- 17:51Speaker 1: me is about the people. And yeah, you and so
- 17:56Speaker 1: when when I look at that and trying to connect
- 17:58Speaker 1: the dots, because you're right, I never saw everybody together,
- 18:03Speaker 1: you know, I never saw that, you know, each one
- 18:05Speaker 1: really had a strong relationship because actually sitting there, I
- 18:08Speaker 1: never saw that. I was kind of like caught off
- 18:10Speaker 1: guard that, oh you guys, well god like our friends.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Well yeah, I mean for like say, the first couple
- 18:19Speaker 1: of years, I only worked with Jacob, right, I didn't
- 18:24Speaker 1: see the other actors, you know what I mean. I
- 18:26Speaker 1: worked with Jacob and then Orlando came in and we
- 18:29Speaker 1: would have a couple of scenes. That was it. We
- 18:33Speaker 1: never overlapped stories and that's important. And so this is
- 18:37Speaker 1: the fifth season of the shot. I'm starting with talking
- 18:39Speaker 1: to the incredible yelland the Ross. But as anybody, you know,
- 18:43Speaker 1: when I bring them on Money May Conversation master Class,
- 18:45Speaker 1: they started somewhere. You know. She she's very secretive. She
- 18:48Speaker 1: don't wanna tell nobody anybody. Yeah, I respect that you
- 18:51Speaker 1: know a little key on social media and all that,
- 18:53Speaker 1: but this money may comes to these master class you know.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I try to bring people on the shows that let
- 18:57Speaker 1: them know that you come from here and get here.
- 19:00Speaker 1: You know, you can be down on your luck and
- 19:02Speaker 1: and luck and change through prayer and motivation and consistency
- 19:05Speaker 1: and relationship and you can accomplish your dreams. So when
- 19:08Speaker 1: I when I look at a person like you who
- 19:10Speaker 1: resume is pretty pretty pretty broad. When I say broad,
- 19:13Speaker 1: that's a compliment. How did you decide to become an actress?
- 19:18Speaker 1: It wasn't a decision. Um. I feel like I was
- 19:22Speaker 1: led to it because I mean, you know, as myself,
- 19:26Speaker 1: I would never say that I would be able to
- 19:28Speaker 1: get up in front of people and you know, become
- 19:32Speaker 1: other people and act or whatever. Uh for what I do,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I become other people. I feel like they come through me,
- 19:42Speaker 1: and I feel that, you know, I've always been creative um, musically, writing, um, singing,
- 19:51Speaker 1: making clothes. Like, I'm just a creative person. I just
- 19:55Speaker 1: never thought of acting, and in this case I ended
- 19:59Speaker 1: up up. Um. I was working in the fashion business
- 20:03Speaker 1: and this girl that I worked with used to background
- 20:06Speaker 1: work for us and now, well, you know, I had
- 20:08Speaker 1: gotten bored with fashion and one day she was sick
- 20:13Speaker 1: and I asked if I could fill in. So, I mean,
- 20:15Speaker 1: I live in New York City, so everything's expensive in
- 20:18Speaker 1: some you got an opportunity to make a little bit
- 20:20Speaker 1: of money, hey whenever, you know. So they led me
- 20:25Speaker 1: and then they kept hiring me. So I got my
- 20:28Speaker 1: union card, I got an agent, and then my first
- 20:31Speaker 1: audition was um, New York Undercover. So that was what
- 20:38Speaker 1: really made me feel something like, you know, becoming this character,
- 20:44Speaker 1: learning how to break down the script, which I break
- 20:47Speaker 1: down scripts like music because that's how that's how I
- 20:53Speaker 1: function is musically. So you know, it's like I was
- 20:57Speaker 1: learning stuff. I was learning things about myself. And with acting,
- 21:05Speaker 1: you utilize every gift that you have, every gift that
- 21:09Speaker 1: you have, because no character is the same, no, you know,
- 21:14Speaker 1: you you go to different places to shoot, you are
- 21:17Speaker 1: around different kinds of people, um, different disciplines that you
- 21:22Speaker 1: have to learn. I mean, I feel like a good
- 21:24Speaker 1: actor can do anything good for a short amount of
- 21:29Speaker 1: time to make it because you become that character, whatever
- 21:33Speaker 1: their skill is, you know how to do it for
- 21:36Speaker 1: this amount of time. When that cameras like you, and
- 21:40Speaker 1: it is what I do. It is what I do.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I become other people and I write worlds for people
- 21:46Speaker 1: to be in, in words for them to say, and
- 21:50Speaker 1: I just feel like, um, it's that's why I say
- 21:53Speaker 1: I was led to it, because I wouldn't have thought
- 21:56Speaker 1: to do it on my own. You know, the beautiful
- 22:00Speaker 1: order this. I didn't say anything for like two minutes.
- 22:03Speaker 1: It was all you, and it was about you. You know,
- 22:06Speaker 1: we weren't talking about the shot, we weren't talking about
- 22:08Speaker 1: anything you have done, but talking that that personal journey
- 22:12Speaker 1: is what excites me about you and what I see
- 22:15Speaker 1: on screen. You know, this is not a job to you.
- 22:18Speaker 1: This is something that that that's when you're embodied to
- 22:21Speaker 1: your success. I've done a lot of successful things in
- 22:23Speaker 1: my life and sometimes God has just given me the
- 22:26Speaker 1: gift to be able to accomplish it. But then when
- 22:29Speaker 1: I tell people what I really do, I said, marking
- 22:31Speaker 1: it in Brandy, I can I can sell you a
- 22:34Speaker 1: can of coke in Alaska and you can be freezing.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I can do that. I didn't tell you anybody. I
- 22:39Speaker 1: didn't do that. Now now, now I could do a
- 22:41Speaker 1: lot of other things. And when I watch you on
- 22:44Speaker 1: the shot, I see a gifted person that you know.
- 22:48Speaker 1: It's almost like you're not even acting. Now. This is
- 22:50Speaker 1: a compliment in your Linda, because it feels so comfortable.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Whether it's dramatic or that the brilliant smile or that
- 22:58Speaker 1: little flirtations looked at you have sometimes and a mischievous
- 23:03Speaker 1: look that you have some time as well, leads to
- 23:05Speaker 1: me to believe that your future is already bright, but
- 23:08Speaker 1: it's only gonna get brighter. You already start, my friend.
- 23:11Speaker 1: You know that. Let's stranger tell you that so you
- 23:14Speaker 1: can feel good. Okay. This season on this shy, the
- 23:18Speaker 1: show delves into many joys and complications more important as
- 23:22Speaker 1: black love. I've been fortunate to see the first three
- 23:24Speaker 1: episodes and the journey that she's in our characters embarking on.
- 23:27Speaker 1: By the third episode, it's gonna like I didn't see
- 23:30Speaker 1: that coming, but it's gonna be good. I didn't see
- 23:33Speaker 1: that coming. So you's long to thank you for coming
- 23:35Speaker 1: on my show. You're a blessing and continue to as
- 23:37Speaker 1: they say, not say much, but do a lot. I
