- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: milking buck things in it to true good of the
- 0:24Speaker 1: listening to other, please don't join jot. Turn you are
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out. Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody you're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey oh Man
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man got a radio show and
- 2:14Speaker 1: a whole lot mold too, Man. God is good to me.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I have no other explanation if I have no other
- 2:20Speaker 1: explanation of my existence and where I stand in this
- 2:24Speaker 1: thing called life, except if it was not for the
- 2:27Speaker 1: goodness of God Almighty. If it was not for His
- 2:31Speaker 1: grace and his mercy, There's no way I could exist
- 2:35Speaker 1: the way that I do. I would not be who
- 2:38Speaker 1: I am or where I am. I am who I
- 2:41Speaker 1: am and where I am simply because God is who
- 2:46Speaker 1: he is. If it was not for God, I would
- 2:50Speaker 1: have no testimony for you, because I would have failed
- 2:54Speaker 1: every single test plain, pure and simple. I can it
- 3:00Speaker 1: here today until you flat out that it is purely
- 3:05Speaker 1: because of God's grace and mercy that I exist today
- 3:09Speaker 1: because of His favor. See now He shows us favor
- 3:14Speaker 1: in life because of a combination of things I've discovered.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And this is not the whole answer to life, I
- 3:22Speaker 1: can assure you as not. But this is a combination
- 3:25Speaker 1: that I've grown to understand better and better, and I
- 3:28Speaker 1: wish I had gotten it earlier in my life. But
- 3:32Speaker 1: here it is. If you take faith and you combine
- 3:39Speaker 1: it with an incredible work ethic, then God has the
- 3:49Speaker 1: greatest opportunities to show you favor. That's the best way
- 3:55Speaker 1: I can explain success to you from my standpoint. It
- 4:00Speaker 1: is the combination of faith and work that produces the
- 4:05Speaker 1: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See a
- 4:09Speaker 1: lot of times we want God to bless us, but
- 4:11Speaker 1: we ain't doing nothing for him to bless So now
- 4:15Speaker 1: we sideways in the equation a little bit. But see,
- 4:18Speaker 1: if you had the faith in God that God can
- 4:22Speaker 1: do anything but fail, that God will get you through,
- 4:26Speaker 1: that God will see you through, that that God is
- 4:29Speaker 1: the God you serve as the greatest gift of all
- 4:32Speaker 1: good things. If you kept that faith intact through it all,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and you produced an incredible work ethic that allows the
- 4:42Speaker 1: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See without
- 4:48Speaker 1: that what you want God to do? See, you can
- 4:51Speaker 1: have faith and be sitting at the house watching TV.
- 4:55Speaker 1: There's nothing being produced, no opportunities for God to show
- 5:00Speaker 1: your favor. And you got to do some things man,
- 5:05Speaker 1: that you are uncomfortable doing or don't feel like doing,
- 5:09Speaker 1: or something that don't have the right payoff right in
- 5:12Speaker 1: front of your face, with the faith that it will
- 5:15Speaker 1: payoff later on. See, too many people are working for
- 5:18Speaker 1: the right now reward, and the right now reward is
- 5:22Speaker 1: not how it works. Sometimes the reward is coming later
- 5:25Speaker 1: on up the road. But the only way you can
- 5:28Speaker 1: know that is if you got to You got to
- 5:31Speaker 1: apply the faith and see the reason you don't know
- 5:34Speaker 1: that that's coming like that, or you have to have
- 5:37Speaker 1: faith to believe that it is coming. Because faith is
- 5:41Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. That's what
- 5:46Speaker 1: faith is. You know you're standing at let me give
- 5:49Speaker 1: you them. You're standing at the cross walk with a
- 5:52Speaker 1: walk sign on it and the sign flashing on the corner.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Don't walk, Then that the signs say walk. What do
- 6:01Speaker 1: you think your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Is well pretty good because guess what the signs say walk.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You can see the other side. There's other people in
- 6:12Speaker 1: the cross walk walking, So guess what you strike out blindly?
- 6:15Speaker 1: It don't take a lot of faith to get across
- 6:18Speaker 1: that street. That's that's That's not why I'm talking to
- 6:22Speaker 1: you about. I'm talking about the faith, the belief in
- 6:25Speaker 1: things that you cannot see, the faith that what I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: doing today, I believe in my heart of heart that
- 6:34Speaker 1: God wouldn't bring me this far to leave me. That
- 6:37Speaker 1: God is a true and living God, that he keeps
- 6:39Speaker 1: his promises, that later on, there's things that I'm working
- 6:42Speaker 1: towards right now gonna pay off later on. See, too
- 6:45Speaker 1: many people want to reward right now. See that's not
- 6:49Speaker 1: the exhibition of faith. If it's the right thing to do,
- 6:54Speaker 1: if it's if it's a good thing to do, if
- 6:57Speaker 1: it's a just thing to do. See if it's see
- 7:00Speaker 1: in it it ain't God. You can just clear it
- 7:03Speaker 1: on up right there. You can stop all the wandering.
- 7:05Speaker 1: If that's his voice talking to you, if it's the
- 7:08Speaker 1: right thing to do, if it's sin in it. It's
- 7:12Speaker 1: not God talking to you. Kill it. You you you
- 7:16Speaker 1: can shut it down. You ain't got to wonder about it.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Go down there in secretvenge that ain't God. Go tell
- 7:22Speaker 1: him off when you see him. That ain't God anything.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That's God's sin in it, is not God's voice telling
- 7:27Speaker 1: you to do it. So you can you can kill
- 7:29Speaker 1: that conversation to date. That's how you know. But if
- 7:33Speaker 1: you align yourself up man and you and what you're
- 7:35Speaker 1: doing is just and right and correct and pleasing in
- 7:39Speaker 1: the sight of God, it'll pay off for you later on.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And see here's here's here's the best way I can
- 7:47Speaker 1: tell to it. Here's another one. When you're going somewhere,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when you're when you're on the road to going somewhere,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and you know the somewhere that you're trying to get to.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Let's say you've set a goal a vision for yourself,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you know where you want to get to, you got
- 8:03Speaker 1: a good idea, and you own your way to going there.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Listen to me when it gets hard, and it is
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to get hard, when it gets difficult, and it
- 8:14Speaker 1: is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: it is going to become challenging when it becomes all
- 8:21Speaker 1: three of those things, when it don't look like it's
- 8:24Speaker 1: gonna happen, don't stop and complain so much. But see,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I know he didn't bless me. But in the middle
- 8:31Speaker 1: of it, man, I felt a little heavy. And you
- 8:34Speaker 1: got to be careful when it gets hard for you,
- 8:36Speaker 1: because you'll find yourself complaining. And when you're complaining. See,
- 8:41Speaker 1: what you can't do is you can't complain so much
- 8:44Speaker 1: that you forget that the place that you're trying to
- 8:48Speaker 1: go to, you actually own your way there still. See,
- 8:53Speaker 1: don't get caught up into complaining and then lose sight
- 8:56Speaker 1: of your blessing that's actually happening. It to you? What really, man,
- 9:01Speaker 1: of all the times to register a complaint to God,
- 9:04Speaker 1: to sit up and go, hey, man, I didn't want
- 9:07Speaker 1: wanted to ease back into this thing. Ease back in, man,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you in It's it's a tornado world around you. You You
- 9:13Speaker 1: ain't got time to ease back in. You got it
- 9:16Speaker 1: going and jump back in it. It is what it is.
- 9:18Speaker 1: To whom much is given, much is required. Always appreciate
- 9:22Speaker 1: the blessings. Don't get so caught up into complaints that
- 9:25Speaker 1: you lose sight of the blessings. Man. God got a
- 9:27Speaker 1: lot for you in your life, man, but you gotta
- 9:30Speaker 1: have them two things, y'all. You gotta take that faith
- 9:33Speaker 1: and you got to apply a crazy work ethic to it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And that creates the most opportunities for God to show
- 9:41Speaker 1: your favor. And when God starts showing your favor, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: all of them seeds you plant, all of that, all
- 9:47Speaker 1: of that wheat you've been sewing, all of that hard
- 9:50Speaker 1: work you've been put in God to pay it off.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And He'll pay it off in ways that you don't
- 9:55Speaker 1: even see coming. Okay, cool, you're listening to show, ladies
- 10:03Speaker 1: and gentlemen, how umhill. I am still at the will
- 10:10Speaker 1: Turned Theater with earth winding fire and damn Eisley Brothers,
- 10:18Speaker 1: it's Monday morning. I survived it. We are hell. Let's
- 10:24Speaker 1: get it on Steve Harmy Morning Show, Scholly Straw. Steve
- 10:30Speaker 1: did your thing on the Versus Battle last night. I
- 10:33Speaker 1: loved it. It was my favorite one so far. And
- 10:36Speaker 1: you were Blue Cheese. Ron Eisley though, Lord have mercy.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah call it for real.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Best versus battle ever like you killed it, Blue Cheese.
- 10:53Speaker 1: What's up. Good morning, Lord, it's Junior Hill. Look, I
- 10:58Speaker 1: can't see nobody. Look out, look out a pimphon. How
- 11:02Speaker 1: you doing yeah with your seventies, Julia, I've converted. I'm here.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Joe whom in the building, baby in the building. Congratulations,
- 11:22Speaker 1: big dog in the building. The best message I got
- 11:25Speaker 1: after this older older came from my daughter Carly. Carly said,
- 11:31Speaker 1: great job tonight, Dad. You was cleaner than cloth rocks
- 11:35Speaker 1: tonight and absolutely great as the host. You bought laughter,
- 11:40Speaker 1: but you showed your love and respect for the music.
- 11:43Speaker 1: We got to witness history tonight. And what a joy
- 11:46Speaker 1: to see you up there. Performer was not only your
- 11:49Speaker 1: friends but singing the music that was the soundtrack to
- 11:52Speaker 1: your life. So much love, so many memories, Love you,
- 11:57Speaker 1: That was my daughter. That was the best message. That
- 12:00Speaker 1: was very beautiful message because you know what man, I
- 12:02Speaker 1: mean to do. It was the soundtrack of my life. Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 1: I mean I cut all the stories out I was
- 12:10Speaker 1: gonna do yeah. Yeah, because people were getting impatient with
- 12:15Speaker 1: the stories. They didn't you know it was they were
- 12:17Speaker 1: getting impatient with the sty But see, but they they
- 12:21Speaker 1: didn't understand what Ron Odsley and them and and and
- 12:25Speaker 1: and and Win the Fire was expected to do, see
- 12:29Speaker 1: because they don't watch verses, you know, so they just
- 12:34Speaker 1: came up there. They were gonna sit there and talk
- 12:36Speaker 1: about each song. So when d Nice played the song
- 12:41Speaker 1: and then he cut it off, they just I had
- 12:44Speaker 1: to start, you know, talking and filling it in, you know,
- 12:47Speaker 1: until they warmed up. Because these are not TV performers.
- 12:50Speaker 1: These is live performances. So the second half, man, they
- 12:55Speaker 1: understood better man, but it was just like an honor man.
- 12:59Speaker 1: It was just a real on a man to sit down. Yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 1: it was really good. It was good. Steve. That purple
- 13:07Speaker 1: suit though, with that white head. What I'm saying, what huh?
- 13:13Speaker 1: And was the other one level white? Wasn't it a
- 13:16Speaker 1: purple hat? No, it was a white hat with a
- 13:19Speaker 1: purple suit, purple anthemus on the side of its coming
- 13:30Speaker 1: up at thirty two minutes after the Purple rocks. Yeah, Amethyst. Well,
- 13:36Speaker 1: we'll have more about last night's Versus Battle hosted by
- 13:39Speaker 1: vary On Steve Harvey, and of course we'll ask the
- 13:42Speaker 1: CLO right after this. You're listening to the Stow Well, Steve,
- 13:48Speaker 1: you hosted the Versus Battle last night. It was earthwin
- 13:51Speaker 1: and Fire and the Isley Brothers. You were the host.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Um so many great moments, but one of the ones
- 13:57Speaker 1: that touched me was when they all said they wouldn't
- 14:00Speaker 1: have done it without you, I mean both of you. Yeah,
- 14:04Speaker 1: it was a general consensus that they loved having you
- 14:07Speaker 1: host them. Yeah that was great, man, because they didn't
- 14:11Speaker 1: get a chance. But you know I did earth when
- 14:14Speaker 1: the Fire's Lifetime Achievement Award on BT, I've put their
- 14:18Speaker 1: hands in the concrete at at on Sunset. I wrote
- 14:24Speaker 1: the forward to Maurice White's book, Me and Ron Go Back.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Me and Ron been together through a couple of marriages,
- 14:33Speaker 1: you know, the real personal. Ron said, don't nobody know
- 14:40Speaker 1: me better than you? Nobody? And so man, it was
- 14:44Speaker 1: like really cool, man. I was just wishing that everybody
- 14:47Speaker 1: understood because they don't watch verses and neither do I.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So they thought they were under the conception that you
- 14:55Speaker 1: play a song and you talk about it and just
- 14:58Speaker 1: like background. But they you know, they was talking about
- 15:00Speaker 1: who wrote the songs and stuff which was going over
- 15:02Speaker 1: people's head. They didn't know because they thought they were
- 15:05Speaker 1: supposed to sit there and just listen to the music. Yeah,
- 15:08Speaker 1: they didn't know. And then you know, Swiss gave us
- 15:12Speaker 1: a call Snipper kneed little more heart for him to
- 15:20Speaker 1: make though legend. Yeah, but you know, but he got it.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And then we got with D Nice and just said,
- 15:26Speaker 1: hey man, because you know, like if d Knights turned
- 15:28Speaker 1: the music off, you know, all I know is dead time.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I ain't got no damn songs, so all I got
- 15:35Speaker 1: is taught. Yeah, so that's the radio, you know what
- 15:38Speaker 1: I mean, I wouldn't know where hey man, there's another
- 15:41Speaker 1: story waiting on D Nice, you know, queue up the
- 15:44Speaker 1: next one. But then after while we got a rhythm.
- 15:46Speaker 1: The second half it got it got a lot better,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know. But you know what people have to understand too,
- 15:52Speaker 1: is the artists don't get to really pick the songs
- 15:54Speaker 1: because you can only play for us on Apple Music
- 15:57Speaker 1: because Apple Music has the agreement with Triller. So you know,
- 16:01Speaker 1: you couldn't go back into paint a pretty Smile each
- 16:04Speaker 1: Day imagination stuff like that, because if it ain't on
- 16:08Speaker 1: the platform, you had to play what was on the platform. Okay,
- 16:12Speaker 1: all right down. For so many people though, Steve, we
- 16:17Speaker 1: just love what you were doing. What this whole thing
- 16:20Speaker 1: it was kings hey things last night, I tell you
- 16:25Speaker 1: a movement. Yes, sir, I wasn't paying attention when kt
- 16:28Speaker 1: Hi Love came on. We saw you, man, What did
- 16:35Speaker 1: you throw on the set? Did you have a light pillars?
- 16:39Speaker 1: I picked up a champagne bucket, That's what it was.
- 16:44Speaker 1: But I pulled out liquor for my dad. Homies can
- 16:48Speaker 1: get everything. Well, I was because I you know, look,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I can't say and I can't even I can't just
- 16:55Speaker 1: hauling the mic hi, I feel I was having moments man,
- 17:00Speaker 1: for real, Steve my favorite comment of the night. You know,
- 17:04Speaker 1: for people post the comments, this is real music. This
- 17:08Speaker 1: is back when we ate Chitlands, none of this vegan stuff.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Mine was all the baby girls wanted Ron Idily to
- 17:21Speaker 1: be there, sugar daddy, all the sugar sugar baby. Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Ron was so sexy. He was at years lying. I
- 17:37Speaker 1: was backstage with him. I don't know what I'm a
- 17:39Speaker 1: west Man. I had to go back in my clau Timmy,
- 17:45Speaker 1: what made you put Ron cold on? Though? What happened?
- 17:49Speaker 1: If Dad couldn't help it? Ron was saying something that
- 17:53Speaker 1: mitched something to me. Give me that damn chi chill
- 17:57Speaker 1: man and let meet your stand here. But I would
- 18:01Speaker 1: sunny Calhoun boy, I don't understand when that song was out,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I couldn't afford no for a coach. He don't give
- 18:10Speaker 1: a damn about Peter. That was not fold. I mean
- 18:17Speaker 1: I would earth winning Fire and Ron Osley. I mean,
- 18:19Speaker 1: who gets to do that, right? You know? I really
- 18:23Speaker 1: I had to hold my head down. I bowed my
- 18:25Speaker 1: head because I was getting I was like, man, God,
- 18:28Speaker 1: thank you, man, How'd you let this happen to me?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Of all the people in the world, I'm the only
- 18:34Speaker 1: one on stage with every winning fire in the Osley Brothers.
- 18:37Speaker 1: And for me, and like my daughter said, this music
- 18:40Speaker 1: was the soundtrack of my life. I mean, I'm not
- 18:44Speaker 1: only friends with them. Catch them songs guided me through
- 18:47Speaker 1: some moments in my life, man. And I mean I
- 18:50Speaker 1: was sitting there, man, I know, do you hear me?
- 18:52Speaker 1: I know every last one of them. Damn. So we
- 18:56Speaker 1: saw you, We saw you singing along with them and
- 18:59Speaker 1: everything I knew all of you know, Rock had sponsored it.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So that messed it up because I was I was
- 19:06Speaker 1: gonna have McCallum and am a rudder. I was gonna
- 19:08Speaker 1: make me a godfather on stage. But we had to
- 19:12Speaker 1: sit up there with that damn Siroc I don't even
- 19:15Speaker 1: know what I rock is one. Yeah, yeah, I don't
- 19:20Speaker 1: know how I know. I ain't never had it. Appreciate it, sponsor,
- 19:26Speaker 1: that was lie, but I had no idea what it was.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I kept going check for that though. Yeah, I told him,
- 19:34Speaker 1: now I'm holding up circle and I didn't even know
- 19:36Speaker 1: it was sharrock you So I was looking at the
- 19:43Speaker 1: but had all the flavors on. So what is this
- 19:45Speaker 1: right here? Man? Oh my god, man, it was. It
- 19:51Speaker 1: was an epic night. Man. I appreciate all the positive comments.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You know, I understand you know what, man, Look, young
- 19:57Speaker 1: people dominate social media, so we had to understand that too,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, and people right you know, but you know,
- 20:08Speaker 1: you have to understand how they how they comment. They
- 20:11Speaker 1: want everything right now fast. Like I told him, I said,
- 20:15Speaker 1: grown ass people sit around and talk house. Yes, that's
- 20:20Speaker 1: a good ass time. We played cards, Domino, we eat
- 20:24Speaker 1: and we talked. That's dog. We If we could have
- 20:27Speaker 1: sat there and just chopped it up and played the hits,
- 20:30Speaker 1: we'd have been fine. We didn't we We didn't, you know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I didn't know how to versus format work. But it
- 20:35Speaker 1: turned out to be great, man. I mean, ron them
- 20:38Speaker 1: they stayed long time after the show was over. Man
- 20:41Speaker 1: Wow stayed long time. Great night Man Coming up next
- 20:47Speaker 1: a special prank phone call from the nephew right after this.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I think, Carla, you're gonna like this one. You're listening.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Missing and
- 21:00Speaker 1: the standing by with our national news and then entertainment
- 21:03Speaker 1: news and sad, sad, sad, heartbreaking news for the ladies.
- 21:08Speaker 1: The Duke of Hastings is not coming back for season two. Briton.
- 21:12Speaker 1: What what the latest for me? Too? Everybody? What I
- 21:21Speaker 1: light skiing boy was bringing it? You hit me? What
- 21:24Speaker 1: is you talking about? There's that and then we'll also
- 21:28Speaker 1: talk about last night's versus Battle, the best one ever.
- 21:35Speaker 1: But right now, it's the day after Easter and Tommy,
- 21:38Speaker 1: you have a special prank. What's happening? I got a
- 21:40Speaker 1: special prank? Everybody you know? I don't know. Friday we
- 21:43Speaker 1: ran Oak Triosity and I've been getting requests after request
- 21:46Speaker 1: and then I started looking. I said, it's call of
- 21:48Speaker 1: doing this. Yeah, I say, it's call of doing it.
- 21:52Speaker 1: This is our favorite pranking. But I kept looking at
- 21:54Speaker 1: like twenty something people saying Tommy, please run Oak Triosity
- 21:58Speaker 1: back from it. So, ladies and gentlemen here it is
- 22:01Speaker 1: special request. Oh triosity coming at you? Yea gay? Hello. Hello,
- 22:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Marvin Police. Yes, man speaking Marvin High.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I'm calling you from doctor's office. I'm actually the lab technician.
- 22:16Speaker 1: UM and you you came in and I got it physical.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I guess about a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, okay,
- 22:21Speaker 1: and my understanding this is for your for your occupation correct, Yeah, okay,
- 22:25Speaker 1: you're what do you do for a living when you're
- 22:27Speaker 1: a hyeah? Okay, Now I was giving you a call
- 22:32Speaker 1: about I'm here looking at your records and all the
- 22:34Speaker 1: testings that you actually went through. Um. Wow, let's see
- 22:38Speaker 1: have you had any have you had any activity or
- 22:40Speaker 1: any problems around your naval area? Na fine, okay, saying
- 22:46Speaker 1: all right, yeah, everything's fine. But I mean if you
- 22:49Speaker 1: haven't had any any type of nothing, no breakout or
- 22:53Speaker 1: anything around your navel or whatsoever. Nah about my navel?
- 22:58Speaker 1: Now everything's going straight, man, Okay, to see what's going on? Man,
- 23:02Speaker 1: what's happening? Okay? Actually you've been diagnosed with um oak
- 23:07Speaker 1: triositis and oristriosis is actually a fungus that comes out
- 23:12Speaker 1: of South America and you have no activity whatsoever around
- 23:16Speaker 1: your NAVELO. It's otriositis, sir. And what what that is
- 23:25Speaker 1: is actually you're you if you haven't had it yet,
- 23:27Speaker 1: you say you haven't had any activity. There's gonna be
- 23:30Speaker 1: like a small little tree that's gonna be growing from
- 23:33Speaker 1: your navel. And it gets about six inches long and
- 23:36Speaker 1: it probably bears about probably about twenty five to thirty
- 23:39Speaker 1: leaves on it, but it's very small. You see a
- 23:43Speaker 1: tree gonna be growing out my navel. It's gonna be
- 23:45Speaker 1: a small tree. And Uh, what's gonna happen is I'm
- 23:49Speaker 1: gonna have to get you to come back in probably
- 23:50Speaker 1: in the next month. We're gonna need you to come
- 23:52Speaker 1: in so we can check it out. But it's got
- 23:54Speaker 1: to grow its fullest potential before we can actually do
- 23:56Speaker 1: anything to it. No, I can't come in and onne
- 24:00Speaker 1: come in today, man, somebody got to we we get
- 24:04Speaker 1: just proble to resolve. Man. I'm tryna get married. Man, Well,
- 24:07Speaker 1: we can't. It has to grow with spulets potential, sir.
- 24:10Speaker 1: And the full term is actually like about four weeks
- 24:13Speaker 1: before we can actual man. I'm not waiting for those
- 24:14Speaker 1: four weeks, man, somebody got to come tell me something, right, Nah, Man,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I ain't gonna go married. Man, have to fly to time,
- 24:20Speaker 1: man and have something going out of my neighbor. Man,
- 24:22Speaker 1: y'all going crazy, man, Sir Outriosa, this is something that's
- 24:26Speaker 1: very rare. We were actually getting this assignment from overseas
- 24:29Speaker 1: in South America on how to treat this. Man. I
- 24:31Speaker 1: don't give it down. Where is it? Man? Somebody gonna
- 24:34Speaker 1: have to come give me some some help, right Na, Man,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna get ready to get married. Man. I'm not
- 24:38Speaker 1: gonna be putting up with it. Man, Somebody in this
- 24:41Speaker 1: office maint got to come down and in do something
- 24:42Speaker 1: for me. Man. And what you say, as you said,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I can cut it out myself. So the best I
- 24:47Speaker 1: can do is probably trim it a bit, you know,
- 24:49Speaker 1: and maybe knock a few leaves off, But I cannot
- 24:52Speaker 1: touch the full stock at all. Man. You can cut
- 24:54Speaker 1: this for the bad day, do something, sir. Cut it
- 24:59Speaker 1: right now. You cannot, sir. If you cut it, there's
- 25:01Speaker 1: a possibility of hemorrhaging, and you're gonna really create a
- 25:04Speaker 1: bigger problem than what you have already. Man, I'm trying
- 25:07Speaker 1: to get this poor dot man you didn't tell me.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Ain't nobody that I've dried on in and get this
- 25:13Speaker 1: poor dot man. I'm gonna get married in two weeks. Man,
- 25:16Speaker 1: we're gonna fly to Jamaican. It can't now. Somebody can
- 25:20Speaker 1: do this for me. So you cannot pull it out.
- 25:25Speaker 1: You're gonna create, good man, You're gonna create a bigger
- 25:28Speaker 1: problem if you try to pull it out. Sorry, problems
- 25:31Speaker 1: are already out. I'm trying to get this problem. Man.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Give me tell me a big hospital. Ain't now, ain't
- 25:37Speaker 1: hit me you want me to do that. It's not
- 25:40Speaker 1: something man. I poke an out of my summer and
- 25:43Speaker 1: you're telling me it ain't you can do, man, sir,
- 25:45Speaker 1: Oak triositis is not something that we treat all the time.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Like I said, it hails from South America, so we
- 25:50Speaker 1: got I don't give it for from Great Britain. Somebody's
- 25:55Speaker 1: asp for me to come down and help me pull it. Man, Sir.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I understand what you're going through, but we have to
- 26:01Speaker 1: let it grow it's full term, which is four weeks, sir,
- 26:04Speaker 1: the full root of it to grow. Man. I ain't
- 26:07Speaker 1: something whoa man? Right, nah Man, y'all gonna have to
- 26:11Speaker 1: do something man, Sir, there's nothing we can do. We
- 26:14Speaker 1: can probably trim it a little bit. The trim get
- 26:17Speaker 1: some training, man, do something, sir. There's nothing we can
- 26:21Speaker 1: do at this point but sit back and wait and
- 26:23Speaker 1: let it grow. It's full term. Okay. Can we get
- 26:26Speaker 1: you doing the waiting? Man? Somebody helped me, right, nah, Man, Sir.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Can we get an appointment for you in the next
- 26:32Speaker 1: four to five weeks and we do that. Now, you
- 26:33Speaker 1: got to get appointment for me to day. I'm going
- 26:36Speaker 1: to give man. Man, I'm gonna fly to Jamaica. Now.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I can't have them chicking out of me. I can't
- 26:40Speaker 1: see it a port man, you're going embarrassing me like
- 26:44Speaker 1: that man's chicking out my neighbor. Sir, I understand it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And like I said, oak triositis is very rare, and
- 26:51Speaker 1: it's it's something that we haven't treated that many times
- 26:54Speaker 1: here in the States, but overseas, the message that we're
- 26:56Speaker 1: getting is that we need to let it grow. It's
- 26:58Speaker 1: full term. So man, tid me. Ain't nobody in the
- 27:01Speaker 1: Miericans got what man, it's otriositis, sir, So I get it.
- 27:07Speaker 1: If nobody else got it, Sir, I could not believe
- 27:11Speaker 1: that you were coming up with outriositis here in the States.
- 27:14Speaker 1: It's it's something very rarely seen here. There's been two
- 27:17Speaker 1: people in the past has been diagnosed with this and
- 27:19Speaker 1: they actually passed away. So now you tell them dive
- 27:24Speaker 1: and you're gonna till me three weeks. Man, I'm coming
- 27:27Speaker 1: down another day. Man, somebody could do something for me, sir.
- 27:30Speaker 1: There's nothing that we can do today until four to
- 27:33Speaker 1: five weeks or I gotta go get married. I'm fine
- 27:36Speaker 1: to Jamaica. Man. I just said, Man, I'm hearing what
- 27:40Speaker 1: you're saying, but I can't do anything if you don't
- 27:43Speaker 1: see the tree already coming out of the navel yet.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Somebody got to do something, man. Man, I'm saying what
- 27:50Speaker 1: you want me to do. Man, I don't know what
- 27:52Speaker 1: I want you to do, sir, but I have one
- 27:54Speaker 1: more thing I can tell you what you got to say. Man,
- 27:57Speaker 1: are you listening. I'm listening to you. Man. This's his
- 28:00Speaker 1: nephew Timmy from the Steve Harpin Morning Show. You just
- 28:03Speaker 1: got pranked by your boy earl. Man. You gotta be
- 28:07Speaker 1: damn man. I'm protted out my wig. Man, you too,
- 28:16Speaker 1: lift you comming man? Man, y'all. He'll be going crazy here. Man,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I'm looking at all of my damn neighbor things. The
- 28:24Speaker 1: truth fell to go out this man, I'm gonna man, No,
- 28:28Speaker 1: you ain't on the right now. Man, I'm already never
- 28:32Speaker 1: gonna get married in two weeks. Man, Hey, man, I
- 28:37Speaker 1: got one more thing to ask you, Marvin Man, what
- 28:40Speaker 1: is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show
- 28:43Speaker 1: in the land, Steve Harvard Morning Show. If you're listening

- 29:42Speaker 1: if I say the Duke of Hastings from Berton. Okay,
- 29:48Speaker 1: then you know who reggae John Page is, Well, he's
- 29:51Speaker 1: not returning. Yeah, he's not returning for season two of

- 30:26Speaker 1: dude to reggae John Page, who played the Duke of Hastings.
- 30:30Speaker 1: The Duke of Hasting's not coming back for season two.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Reggae John Page also posted a statement on Instagram saying
- 30:37Speaker 1: it has been an absolute pleasure to be your duke,
- 30:42Speaker 1: to thank the cast and crew, and also said it's
- 30:44Speaker 1: been beyond anything I could have imagined. The love is
- 30:47Speaker 1: real and keep growing. This is an outrage. It really is.
- 30:53Speaker 1: What are we supposed rhyme? Let me say that, Hold on, Shanda,
- 31:00Speaker 1: don you got fixed this now? Now? This this is
- 31:04Speaker 1: not this too much? This too much is going on? Okay,
- 31:09Speaker 1: this is like like Carrie not being on scandal. This
- 31:13Speaker 1: is what this is doing to us. Yeah, this, this
- 31:16Speaker 1: is not good. This man, let's fix this. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:23Speaker 1: we got to fix this. Featheringtions and yeah, this is
- 31:28Speaker 1: too much. This is too much right here. Ain't got
- 31:31Speaker 1: no more light skinning pretty boys from England. They could
- 31:34Speaker 1: do this that this man. But they're gonna find someone
- 31:40Speaker 1: to take his place. Hopefully he'll make us forget all
- 31:43Speaker 1: about reggae John Page, But doubt one though, that'll be.
- 31:49Speaker 1: That's not good right there, it's really good. He was
- 31:53Speaker 1: the draw. He was the Absolutely that's heartbreaking. It is.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Oh wait, can we move on? Is everyone okay? No?
- 32:03Speaker 1: Everybody all right? Sure he didn't come back. We gotta
- 32:08Speaker 1: talk about this and other entertainment news. Congratulations to another
- 32:13Speaker 1: power couple. Are very you nephew Tommy and his beautiful
- 32:17Speaker 1: wife Jackie Miles than I made the news. Oh my god, yes, yes, yes,
- 32:26Speaker 1: entertainment news. You and Jackie the season premiere you guys
- 32:30Speaker 1: hosted together. That was a nice surprise. You told us
- 32:33Speaker 1: you had some surprises, Tommy, and that was a great surprise.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Please tell Jackie from all of us. She did a
- 32:39Speaker 1: great ship. We were very, very proud of her, very
- 32:42Speaker 1: oh my god, thank you. It's beautiful jet and she
- 32:47Speaker 1: was great. Yeah, we loved it, so have her. Thank
- 32:49Speaker 1: you Tommy. Yeah I was. I was so you know,
- 32:52Speaker 1: I was worried for her because I wanted her to
- 32:54Speaker 1: do good and I knew she was nervous, and I
- 32:57Speaker 1: just I just wanted her to do a good job.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I think she did. She didn't, right, yea, if she was, yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: you couldn't tell. She was very natural. You I can
- 33:06Speaker 1: tell you made her feel at eve. Yeah, you gonna
- 33:08Speaker 1: take my job, Junior, take your job. It'll be a
- 33:11Speaker 1: new home. You can't say nothing, all right, but longing
- 33:15Speaker 1: that chip keep coming to his house. All right, It's
- 33:21Speaker 1: time to move on. Time for headlines. Let's go, ladies
- 33:24Speaker 1: and gentlemen, missaying trip. Thank you, Thank you everybody in
- 33:27Speaker 1: good morning. President Biden issued an Easterday message yesterday on
- 33:30Speaker 1: what was the nation's second Easter, dealing with the pandemic
- 33:34Speaker 1: of fact. He acknowledged in his message, as you celebrate
- 33:36Speaker 1: this most holy day, we know many are still going
- 33:39Speaker 1: without familiar comforts of the season. The virus is not gone,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and so many of us still feel the longing and
- 33:45Speaker 1: loneliness of distance. However, the latest travel numbers suggest that
- 33:48Speaker 1: a lot of Americans are not letting distance stand between
- 33:51Speaker 1: family and friends. In fact, the TSA says it's counting
- 33:53Speaker 1: more than one and a half million people at the
- 33:56Speaker 1: nation's airports. That's the highest number since the start of
- 33:59Speaker 1: the pandemic over a year ago, so a lot of
- 34:01Speaker 1: folks apparently are getting out and traveling. Meanwhile, as the
- 34:03Speaker 1: CDC says that fully vaccinated folks whore at low risk
- 34:06Speaker 1: when they travel, they're still advising folks to refrain from
- 34:09Speaker 1: all non essential travel. Testimony resumes in Minneapolis today and
- 34:13Speaker 1: the Derek Chauvin George Floyd murder trial last week, Witnesses
- 34:16Speaker 1: testify to the horror of seeing the white X cop
- 34:19Speaker 1: kneeling on mister Floyd's neck for almost ten minutes, and
- 34:22Speaker 1: in a rare occurrence, the so called blue wall of
- 34:24Speaker 1: silence came down. Fellow officers, usually known to cover up
- 34:28Speaker 1: and even lie for each other, admitted that what Derek
- 34:30Speaker 1: Chauvin did amount to intentional murder. Have you ever, in
- 34:33Speaker 1: all the years you've been working for the Minneapolis Police
- 34:36Speaker 1: Department been trained to kneel on the neck of someone
- 34:41Speaker 1: who has handcuffed behind their back? In their prawn position. No,
- 34:46Speaker 1: I haven't. If your knee is on a person's neck,
- 34:49Speaker 1: that can kill him, and that was ahead of the
- 34:51Speaker 1: Homicide Division Lieutenant Richard Zimmerman. Derek Chauvin has pled not
- 34:54Speaker 1: guilty to second degree unintentional murder, third degree murder and
- 34:57Speaker 1: second degree manslaughter in Great Britain on the of a
- 35:00Speaker 1: report that claims there's no systematic racism in England, or
- 35:03Speaker 1: report denounced by most non white Brits, thousands of demonstrators
- 35:07Speaker 1: hit the streets of London and cities all over Britain
- 35:08Speaker 1: over the weekend to protest government plans to increase police powers.
- 35:12Speaker 1: In the end, over one hundred people were arrested and sadly,
- 35:16Speaker 1: multi platinum rapper and actor DMX still reportedly on life
- 35:19Speaker 1: support and an upstate New York hospital after is suffering
- 35:22Speaker 1: a heart attack, possibly related to a drug overdose, possibly
- 35:26Speaker 1: his family's holding individual outside the hospital this evening, his
- 35:30Speaker 1: longtime manager says that DMX is brain dead. News of
- 35:33Speaker 1: his condition has prompted a flood of prayer and support
- 35:36Speaker 1: from fans and other celebrities like Missy Elliott, Rick Ross, Jaw, Rule,
- 35:41Speaker 1: Iced Tea, and Chance the Rapper, his lawyer for the
- 35:43Speaker 1: last twenty five years, Murray Richmond. I'm not in touch
- 35:46Speaker 1: with any doctors. I'm in touch with members of the
- 35:48Speaker 1: family and that's been the source of my information. I
- 35:52Speaker 1: pray for him. I hopefully he's going to make it,
- 35:54Speaker 1: but I have well, I'm concerned. We all are now
- 35:59Speaker 1: back to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show.
- 36:05Speaker 1: All right, let's talk a little bit more about last
- 36:07Speaker 1: night's versus battle. Uh, Steve Harvey. And it was so good, Steve,
- 36:13Speaker 1: I mean really, it really was. I just loved it.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I love the change of clothes, I love the entertainment value.
- 36:20Speaker 1: How they you know, Earth when the Fire got up
- 36:23Speaker 1: and performed their songs, and then the Isley Brothers got
- 36:26Speaker 1: up and performed theirs, and Verdean and the hair had
- 36:30Speaker 1: a lot of comments about Burdean. Yes, cream, well like
- 36:38Speaker 1: a white jacket and some rad pants with a white
- 36:41Speaker 1: strip stripe going down the side. Uh huh Verdean. Yeah.
- 36:47Speaker 1: So how you feeling, Steve. It's the morning after how
- 36:49Speaker 1: you you know, man, I'm exhausted. Yeah, but you know
- 36:53Speaker 1: it was like such a yeah, I mean, you know,
- 36:56Speaker 1: it was long, you know, because I mean they hit you, kate,
- 36:59Speaker 1: how do you cut them hits up? Because when they
- 37:01Speaker 1: wrote songs, there's parts, they had bridges and stuff like that.
- 37:05Speaker 1: It ain't no little you know, it's no short songs.
- 37:09Speaker 1: So and then you know the thing that they had
- 37:11Speaker 1: to do with certain things because it was on Apple
- 37:14Speaker 1: Music and so you know, man, but just sitting there, man,
- 37:18Speaker 1: feeling the vibe of them. They were so appreciative of
- 37:20Speaker 1: being asked to do it. And but like you know,
- 37:24Speaker 1: Ronald Osley Man has twenty eight platinum albums, He's hundred
- 37:32Speaker 1: and eleven songs that's been on the charts in the
- 37:36Speaker 1: top ten, hundred and eleven, So how did he pick
- 37:40Speaker 1: twenty five? And then Billboard did not register black music
- 37:49Speaker 1: for a long time because black people couldn't get on
- 37:54Speaker 1: white radio because if you look at MTV, MTV didn't
- 37:59Speaker 1: allow blacks on it until Michael Jackson came out with Thriller.
- 38:02Speaker 1: That's right, he put black people on that. So what
- 38:06Speaker 1: when they were making money and all in my albums
- 38:08Speaker 1: and selling millions of records, you know, of course b
- 38:12Speaker 1: M I had him and all like that. They was
- 38:14Speaker 1: on adult contemporary, but Billboard didn't recognize a lot of
- 38:17Speaker 1: what they did. Yeah, the racystem is real. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 38:24Speaker 1: But the Kings were on the stage last yes man,
- 38:29Speaker 1: and they were comments, Oh man, Steve. Folks were loving you,
- 38:34Speaker 1: They were loving Ronald Osley, everybody. Man. Yeah, seventy I
- 38:39Speaker 1: can't get over here. Seventy nine. I didn't see that anywhere.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I didn't see seventy nine anywhere as hell. Yeah, it
- 38:47Speaker 1: looked like you guys were having a great time, Steve,
- 38:50Speaker 1: It really does. And it was like the crazy moment
- 38:53Speaker 1: was before the show, intermission and after the show, because
- 38:57Speaker 1: you know, they could they could be themselves because these
- 39:00Speaker 1: are not TV stars, man, These dudes ain't Internet stars
- 39:03Speaker 1: down down't know really no nothing about no Internet. Right,
- 39:06Speaker 1: they go into studio and they go on stage, and
- 39:09Speaker 1: when they don't have any you know, I mean, they
- 39:10Speaker 1: didn't have a band, they didn't have any instruments. It's
- 39:13Speaker 1: it's almost like they added an element. Yeah, you know,
- 39:17Speaker 1: awkward for them. Yeah, all right, coming up at thirty
- 39:22Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, we'll have more about the
- 39:24Speaker 1: Versus battle last night with their own Steve Harvey. Right
- 39:27Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. So Steve
- 39:33Speaker 1: we're back talking about the versus battle last night and
- 39:35Speaker 1: which you posted. Um, you know, I love the story
- 39:39Speaker 1: you told about. You wrote the words to earth Wind
- 39:42Speaker 1: and Fire's Devotion down and you gave them to one
- 39:45Speaker 1: of this this girl you were interested in, Miosh Jackson
- 39:50Speaker 1: or whatever her name was, and uh, she said she
- 39:53Speaker 1: thought that was so sweet. How did the fellas what
- 39:56Speaker 1: did they think about that earth Wind and Fire? I
- 39:58Speaker 1: mean like they was tripping, man, because you know I
- 40:01Speaker 1: have It's like really crazy. It's like my daughter said,
- 40:05Speaker 1: all this music that I hosted last night was really
- 40:09Speaker 1: the soundtracks of my life, earth Wind and Fire. See
- 40:13Speaker 1: I knew ron Ozzy new music before that. You know.
- 40:17Speaker 1: YEA work to do that lady, and all like that
- 40:21Speaker 1: because my brother's name listen to it. But when I
- 40:24Speaker 1: was old enough to go and buy my own music,
- 40:27Speaker 1: when the Vibe came out, when I was seeing you
- 40:28Speaker 1: in high school, and Lord have mercy Jesus, when that
- 40:34Speaker 1: damn Devotion album came out, mighty mighty need to voshun
- 40:44Speaker 1: bless it. Other chudran I wrote that entire song out
- 40:50Speaker 1: on a piece of poster board, rolled it up, put
- 40:53Speaker 1: it on my back, got on my bike rolled to
- 40:56Speaker 1: me Oshea House and gave it to it. Wow, because
- 41:01Speaker 1: I ain't know, you know, you need to hit this.
- 41:05Speaker 1: This is so beautiful, man, I need I need a
- 41:08Speaker 1: check to hit this. Yeah, she said, Wow, that's the
- 41:12Speaker 1: sweetest thing anybody ever done. That was a true story.
- 41:16Speaker 1: But you asked Ronald Issley a question last night, Steve
- 41:19Speaker 1: or and Ernie Isle about writing songs about women. Did
- 41:25Speaker 1: you ask them? Yeah, they said they had to compliment
- 41:28Speaker 1: all of these songs. Was complimenting women? Yeah, you know,
- 41:32Speaker 1: they they they said they never they don't you had
- 41:37Speaker 1: to compliment women. All their songs is about love, feeling thinking,
- 41:42Speaker 1: missing them, won't them, having them, being lonely without them,
- 41:46Speaker 1: trying to do right vibe you know, I mean, you know,
- 41:49Speaker 1: And and that's that's how they focused on their songs.
- 41:52Speaker 1: If you look at her. When the five they wrote
- 41:54Speaker 1: love songs, and when they wasn't writing love songs, they
- 41:56Speaker 1: wrote songs about the world. Yeah, that's the way the
- 42:00Speaker 1: world fight the power, you know, stuff paint a pretty
- 42:03Speaker 1: smile each day and then um, you know, and then
- 42:08Speaker 1: when they wrote a party song, it still had a
- 42:11Speaker 1: message in it. You know, Boogee, Wonderland, Let's Groove Tonight, Donna,
- 42:17Speaker 1: you know, fight the Power, all this, and it was
- 42:22Speaker 1: the first time an R and B group ever cussed
- 42:26Speaker 1: on an album. What's when Ronald Osley said, all this
- 42:31Speaker 1: full blank going down time is truly wasted. That was
- 42:39Speaker 1: a jam, man, And everything they wrote was about messaging. Man.
- 42:46Speaker 1: And you know, like I understand the Internet and you know,
- 42:50Speaker 1: the demographics that created versus what Swiz and Timberland created
- 42:55Speaker 1: was for a different demographic they reached when they put
- 42:59Speaker 1: Patty and Glad song. You know, they gave it to him, man,
- 43:03Speaker 1: but that was something and this was for a different
- 43:06Speaker 1: generation of people. Man. Yeah, you know, but you know
- 43:09Speaker 1: what two young folks knew. They knew some of the music.
- 43:12Speaker 1: They knew it from their parents, right, but then they
- 43:15Speaker 1: also knew it from sampling. You know, Isley Brothers, you
- 43:18Speaker 1: know ice Cube today today they knew some of it. Yeah.
- 43:22Speaker 1: I like the fact that d Nice did that. He
- 43:24Speaker 1: did a segment of the showing the samples, you know, yeah, man,
- 43:29Speaker 1: and it's really uh, it was really a tribute to
- 43:32Speaker 1: him brothers. Man, I just want everybody to understand who
- 43:35Speaker 1: had different comments to make You have to understand, these
- 43:39Speaker 1: dudes are professional showmen. They on stage with bands. They
- 43:44Speaker 1: don't do no lip sinking. They got bands, they all
- 43:47Speaker 1: played instruments. Verdine White played the bass. You know, they
- 43:52Speaker 1: put on a whole show man. And so to have
- 43:55Speaker 1: them stand there with just mikes and you know, lip
- 43:59Speaker 1: and sing along and then be on TV, so to speak,
- 44:03Speaker 1: even though it's the internet, you know, it's it's that's
- 44:06Speaker 1: not the element. But I loved it, man, and I
- 44:10Speaker 1: loved it for them, man. And they were so happy
- 44:12Speaker 1: to do it together man, because they have such a
- 44:14Speaker 1: high respect for one another. Yeah, yeah, you can tell
- 44:17Speaker 1: us that, all right to us, Thank you, Steve. We'll
- 44:20Speaker 1: talk more about it coming up next. And Nephew with
- 44:22Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. Right after this. You're listening to
- 44:26Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 44:30Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 44:33Speaker 1: letter for today's subject, I do not want to be
- 44:36Speaker 1: in his wedding. We'll get into that just a few
- 44:41Speaker 1: but right now the nephew is here with today's prank
- 44:44Speaker 1: phone call. What's you got for us? Nef peed on
- 44:48Speaker 1: my house, speed own my house. Let's go cat do
- 44:55Speaker 1: peed on my house. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach. Uh, mister,
- 45:02Speaker 1: I think that's the name. Yeah, this is this. What's
- 45:05Speaker 1: this in regard to, uh, just about the air conditioning unit.
- 45:08Speaker 1: You did some workoff force over on uh my household
- 45:11Speaker 1: off street. Do you remember coming out there last week? Uh? Yeah, yeah,
- 45:16Speaker 1: I remember, yeah, right, my Uh it was a lady
- 45:19Speaker 1: that my wife, she let you in to come out
- 45:21Speaker 1: right right. Their problems is their problem that is not
- 45:24Speaker 1: cooling or what? No, no, no, no, it's cooling everything.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Matter fact. I want to tell you, uh that you
- 45:29Speaker 1: did you did a good job. But I got a
- 45:32Speaker 1: question for you. Now. When you was at the house
- 45:34Speaker 1: and you was working on the air condition out there
- 45:36Speaker 1: in the backyard, did you did you happen to go
- 45:40Speaker 1: on the side of my house and pull out and
- 45:44Speaker 1: use the bathroom right there on the side? Did you
- 45:47Speaker 1: go then and you do number one on the side
- 45:49Speaker 1: of my eye? Well, what I'm saying is that my
- 45:52Speaker 1: wife tells me that when you were there, that you
- 45:56Speaker 1: you went on the side. She was looking out the winners.
- 45:58Speaker 1: She said that when you was there that you and
- 46:01Speaker 1: went and use the ball room on the side. Whole
- 46:05Speaker 1: Hold wait a minute, I did what not to what right,
- 46:10Speaker 1: you you, you, you and you did number one over
- 46:13Speaker 1: on the side of the house. Not is that something
- 46:16Speaker 1: that you did? Say? Man, look, you got to understand something. Man,
- 46:19Speaker 1: all right now, I apologize if that did happen, but
- 46:22Speaker 1: you got to understand something. You know we're downside, man,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and you know we're talking eighty five ninety and ninety
- 46:28Speaker 1: five degree weather. Man. I got to stay high traded.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I got to drink a lot of fluids. So you know,
- 46:33Speaker 1: with me being the age that I am, I have
- 46:35Speaker 1: to drink a lot of fluids and the tend to
- 46:37Speaker 1: pass through looking once and once again. I said, I apologize,
- 46:40Speaker 1: I understand all that, but you know what, I can't
- 46:42Speaker 1: accept no apologies like that when I got a man
- 46:45Speaker 1: this foot got on the side of my house and then, man,
- 46:48Speaker 1: I'm apologizing to you and you coming off on me
- 46:51Speaker 1: like that. You didn't you on the side of my
- 46:55Speaker 1: house in front of my wife. I not looking at
- 46:57Speaker 1: young man now if your win't shown me it is
- 47:00Speaker 1: she needs to see some paper. But you ever really
- 47:04Speaker 1: ain't doing something? You do that happen? Oh you think

- 47:10Speaker 1: my work? What is she hit hard up that she
- 47:12Speaker 1: got to look at home. Man. Look, look, look, all
- 47:15Speaker 1: I know is I don't want no man at my
- 47:18Speaker 1: house in the huse side of the house, back yard. Nothing. Look, man,
- 47:25Speaker 1: let me tell you something, dog, let me tell you something.
- 47:27Speaker 1: I'm the only person at my house. You understand me.
- 47:30Speaker 1: You ain't right to see out there looking at me.
- 47:33Speaker 1: But look here, fun, I'm a professional. Okay. I do
- 47:36Speaker 1: my job, and I take my job with pride. Okay,
- 47:40Speaker 1: it's not being professional. There's something that I did that's
- 47:42Speaker 1: that water running through me right, Okay, But you don't.
- 47:45Speaker 1: You don't at no other man's house, and you at
- 47:48Speaker 1: my house and my wife's sitting there looking at you
- 47:50Speaker 1: out to wonder. Now, I got a problem with that.
- 47:53Speaker 1: What you need to outcome when your wife's looking at me?
- 47:56Speaker 1: If that's what I did? You know what you need
- 47:59Speaker 1: to be at home and give with something to look
- 48:02Speaker 1: at other than looking at me. You don't tell me
- 48:04Speaker 1: what I need to do about my wife. Now, you
- 48:07Speaker 1: don't go to another man. Man, you know what, I'm
- 48:10Speaker 1: about to lose it all right now. You're gonna you're
- 48:13Speaker 1: gonna make You're gonna make me lose a quick. Let

- 48:23Speaker 1: and you wife, Yeah, that's that's fan. You don't said
- 48:29Speaker 1: another man's house. You don't do that. And people my
- 48:33Speaker 1: wife looking out the window, and I bet you knew
- 48:35Speaker 1: that them blinds was open. Yo. Man, Nah, you didn't
- 48:41Speaker 1: be real upfit with these accusations. All right. Now, look
- 48:44Speaker 1: you had you had what it street? Now you are
- 48:48Speaker 1: you know where I'm man, because I will show you
- 48:51Speaker 1: what I want you to bring your back over here feeling.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I know exactly what you did. Y'alls on that on
- 48:57Speaker 1: that on not gone a stream. I'm gonna come over

- 49:12Speaker 1: what you don't do is at another man house and
- 49:15Speaker 1: that's what you did. And you know it ain't called
- 49:17Speaker 1: for now you got have held that apologize, man, I
- 49:20Speaker 1: had to go. I told you I drink a lot
- 49:22Speaker 1: of fluids in this heat. Man, what else do you
- 49:26Speaker 1: want me to do? I want you to keep your
- 49:28Speaker 1: flui until you get to the service station down the street,
- 49:31Speaker 1: but not in my backyard side of the house and
- 49:33Speaker 1: my wife looking out the window. Man, you if what
- 49:36Speaker 1: you're talking about, if I did I apologize to Cake
- 49:39Speaker 1: something in the hell with it? Look at You're gonna
- 49:42Speaker 1: me off and make me do something up and I'm
- 49:44Speaker 1: telling you not. Man, I don't told you I apologize
- 49:47Speaker 1: you and I will come on that kicking. Okay, you
- 49:51Speaker 1: take your dude, what Let me tell you something. Kick
- 49:54Speaker 1: you because it's from the edge of your while your

- 51:20Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land. Well, you know
- 51:23Speaker 1: the Steven Show. You know. This goes out to all

- 53:31Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you. Here. It
- 53:33Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letta. Thank you nephew. Subject Aletta you
- 53:39Speaker 1: back from versus Aletta Letta. All right. Subject. I don't
- 53:47Speaker 1: want to be in this wedding. Okay, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:50Speaker 1: I've been asked to stand with my friend in his wedding.
- 53:53Speaker 1: I'm a female, so I can't be a groomsman, but
- 53:56Speaker 1: I'll be at his side at the wedding. Why am
- 53:59Speaker 1: I not a Bride's made? You ask? The future wife
- 54:02Speaker 1: is controlling and she doesn't want him to keep any
- 54:04Speaker 1: of his female friend. My friend and I are so
- 54:07Speaker 1: close that he officiated my wedding and now he and
- 54:10Speaker 1: my husband are the best of friends. I've had mixed
- 54:13Speaker 1: feelings from the beginning about this wedding, so it's no
- 54:16Speaker 1: secrets that I don't think it will last. Here's why
- 54:19Speaker 1: my friend has a habit of putting up with selfish
- 54:22Speaker 1: and whiny women and then runs to me when they
- 54:25Speaker 1: get too unbearable. She's the worst one he has been
- 54:29Speaker 1: with so far. She doesn't seem to like any of
- 54:33Speaker 1: our friends, who are all married and have better things
- 54:35Speaker 1: to do than coddle her and beg her for her friendship.
- 54:40Speaker 1: She's talked crap about all of us, and my friend
- 54:42Speaker 1: will tell us in an indirect way, so we just
- 54:45Speaker 1: avoid her at all costs. Despite him spending all of
- 54:48Speaker 1: this time with her and her two kids, he can't
- 54:51Speaker 1: spend time with his niece and nephew without her getting
- 54:53Speaker 1: an attitude. He also wants at least one child of
- 54:57Speaker 1: his own, and she's told him she doesn't want any
- 55:00Speaker 1: more children. He said she's jealous because she doesn't have
- 55:03Speaker 1: but one friend and she's not close with her sister.
- 55:06Speaker 1: I told him that's a red flag because it means
- 55:09Speaker 1: she's hard to get along with. Anything I tell him
- 55:11Speaker 1: falls on deaf ears. I want him to see that
- 55:14Speaker 1: he's making a big mistake before it's too late. Should
- 55:17Speaker 1: I skip the wedding and lose a friend or try
- 55:19Speaker 1: to befriend his wife once more? I don't want to
- 55:22Speaker 1: go anywhere I'm not welcome. Please help, well, I say no,
- 55:27Speaker 1: don't skip the wedding. Just don't be in the wedding,
- 55:31Speaker 1: all right, don't do it, Okay, you will be miserable.
- 55:35Speaker 1: And I'm going to tell you this. You're not a
- 55:37Speaker 1: bridesmaid because you're his friend, not hers. So tell your
- 55:42Speaker 1: friend you're going to be there to support him. But
- 55:45Speaker 1: you don't feel comfortable knowing that his wife doesn't approve
- 55:48Speaker 1: of you as his friend and all of that, and
- 55:51Speaker 1: you don't want to be in that mess. And that's
- 55:54Speaker 1: all you say about his wife, because if she's as
- 55:56Speaker 1: bad as you say she is, he'll find out sooner
- 55:59Speaker 1: or later he unfortunately, it might not be before he
- 56:03Speaker 1: marries her, especially the part about her not wanting any
- 56:05Speaker 1: more children. So you want a child, but your wife doesn't.
- 56:10Speaker 1: And you guys have already talked about that, and you
- 56:13Speaker 1: know this, but you're still gonna go ahead with the wedding.
- 56:17Speaker 1: That's a serious red flag and you should not do
- 56:21Speaker 1: all right. I don't know why you're still marrying this
- 56:23Speaker 1: woman thinking I guess perhaps that she might change her mind.
- 56:27Speaker 1: That probably won't happen. She seems pretty clear of what
- 56:32Speaker 1: she doesn't want anyway. You know, I still say, don't
- 56:39Speaker 1: skip the wedding. You don't want to lose him as
- 56:41Speaker 1: a friend. And my advice to you to be to
- 56:44Speaker 1: stay out of their business because you know way too
- 56:47Speaker 1: much about what's going on in their business. But I
- 56:49Speaker 1: guess he does tell you a lot. But just go
- 56:52Speaker 1: to the wedding and steer clear of all the foolishness. Steve,
- 56:56Speaker 1: you know this is not a kind of crazy, yeah,
- 57:00Speaker 1: because it gets crazy at the beginning. So this woman,
- 57:04Speaker 1: it's really good friends with this man who's man or
- 57:06Speaker 1: woman she doesn't approve of, but the friend wants her
- 57:11Speaker 1: in the wedding. Like Shirley said, now, you can't be
- 57:14Speaker 1: a groom's a bridesmaid because you're not a friend of
- 57:18Speaker 1: the bride. So if you're gonna be next to him
- 57:21Speaker 1: at the wedding, what is you gonna be? Man? I'm
- 57:27Speaker 1: stuck what weddness this? Because I ain't never seen this before. Yeah,
- 57:35Speaker 1: I ain't never seen a woman be a grooms woman.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Not saying you can't be, but I ain't never seen it.
- 57:41Speaker 1: So if you're not a bridesmaid, but you're gonna be
- 57:43Speaker 1: next to his side at the wedding, as of what
- 57:48Speaker 1: you're just gonna stand up there, what you're gonna have
- 57:50Speaker 1: on because you can't wear it? Tucks, you're a lady groom,
- 57:54Speaker 1: Lady a lady groom. Yeah, well, I don't think the
- 57:59Speaker 1: wife's gonna for that. So she says that your friend
- 58:04Speaker 1: they so close that he officiated her wedding and now
- 58:08Speaker 1: he and her husband are the best friends. Now this
- 58:12Speaker 1: lady say she got mixed feelings about his wedding, so
- 58:17Speaker 1: she don't think it's gonna last. Because your friend has
- 58:19Speaker 1: a habit. The dude be putting selfish and wine and
- 58:22Speaker 1: women in his life, and then he run to me
- 58:25Speaker 1: when they get too unbearable. But this one is the
- 58:28Speaker 1: worst one so far. So the woman don't like none
- 58:32Speaker 1: of y'all's friends, who are all married and have better
- 58:36Speaker 1: things to do than coddle her. She talks crap about
- 58:40Speaker 1: all of us, and then your friend, this guy tells
- 58:44Speaker 1: y'all in indirect ways what she's saying about y'all. Okay,
- 58:49Speaker 1: pump pump your brakes party, Why are you doing that?
- 58:54Speaker 1: So now you telling your friends your girl, girl, that's
- 59:00Speaker 1: your friend. What your future wife says about her and
- 59:05Speaker 1: everybody else? Bro, who sided you him? I mean you
- 59:09Speaker 1: already on on your wife to B side. She ain't
- 59:13Speaker 1: on your side? So what the hell y'all getting mad?
- 59:15Speaker 1: Ain't I around on the same team in this letter?
- 59:19Speaker 1: So y'all avoid this lady? Now he got she got
- 59:24Speaker 1: two kids. He can't spend time with his niece and
- 59:28Speaker 1: nephew without her getting attitude. Damn this chick right here?
- 59:33Speaker 1: Why is he mad? And then he want a child
- 59:35Speaker 1: of his own and she told him she don't want
- 59:37Speaker 1: him more kids? What Shelley? Right? What y'all getting mad for?
- 59:42Speaker 1: Y'all don't want the same things. Y'alln't want the same friends,
- 59:45Speaker 1: y'all want the same when y'all don't even want the
- 59:48Speaker 1: same amount of kids. Hold on, Steve, hold that thought.
- 59:52Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 59:55Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hours, subject I don't want
- 59:58Speaker 1: to be in his wedding? All right, we'll get back
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening, all right? Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject I don't want to
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: be in his wedding. Well, I'm gonna tell y'all something
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: about this letter. This letter is over with, just like
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: this manches this is short lived mass right here, Man,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: this actually has no chance. These two people that are
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: getting married don't want the same things. This guy has
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: a friend who's a girl that's one of his best
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: friends so much that he wants her in the wedding.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: The girl that wrote this letter don't want to be
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: in the wedd because of her relationship with the wife,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: but she wants to be. But the dude in assuld
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: come and be in the wedding and be at his side.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Now they're such good friends that this guy and officiated
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: this girl's wedding with her husband. And now the girl's
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: husband and this guy she's talking about his best friends. Well,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: the wife don't want to as a bridesmaid. I don't
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: know what she's gonna do anywhere, but she can't be
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: a groomsman. He knows his wife don't like the girl,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: none of the friends, and he tells the friends indirectly
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: what the wife say about them. He also is always
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: picking controlling in whiney women, and the woman says, this
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: is the worst one. That a woman he's gonna marry
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: has two children. He can't spend no time with his
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: niece and nephew without hugging the attitude because she want
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: him all to himself. And then he has expressed it
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: he wants a child, and she just says she don't
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: want no more kids. I just go over this. She
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: don't like none of your friends though, none of your
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: friends like her. You tell your friends what she says,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: so you mow on your friends team than you are
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: on the wife's team. She don't want to more kids,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: you do. We got a lot that ain't matching up right, Hill? Yeah,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: so why y'all getting married? I don't understand. And then
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: he said that she's jealous because she doesn't have a
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: one friend and she's not close with her sister. Now,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: if you're not close with your sister, can explain why
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: he's not close with any why she's not close with
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: none of y'all friends. She ain't even friends with her sister.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: So if you cannot like your sister, now know family difference.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Sometimes you don't get to pickle like you do friends.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: But you can't even have a relationship with your sister.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: You told him that's a red flag because that means
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: she hard to get along with. But everything you tell
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: him you say, falls on death fears. You want him
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: to see that he's making a big mistake before it's
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: too late. Should I skip the wedding and lose a
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: friend or try to befriend his wife once more? Well
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: you can try, But didn't you say in the letter
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: she don't want y'all. She don't want you to be close,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: get rid of all your female friends. Ain't you a female?
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: So what you're going back over? That? Cozying up to
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: her fault? This is fitting to fall apart. All you
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: should do is just be his friend. You can't be
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: in the wedding, but you should go to the wed
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: but you should have a conversation to just tell you. Now,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I know it's falling on death fear, she said, but
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: just tell her. I'm gonna come to and be at
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: the wedding. But your wife don't want no more kids.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You do? Your wife don't want you to have no
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: more no female friends. I'm a female, So what are
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: you and your wife doing? That has compatibility to it?
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: And I don't see it. So this is this letter.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: This marriage is over, just like this letter is over.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Like I said, it ain't a whole lot more I
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: could say to it. Anybody else want to say, something's here,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: it's a rap. This ain't gonna make it. No, he
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: pretty much said it. It's pretty much to hell over.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: She was gonna be in the wedding. What a lady.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Grooms that's that's that's all. Grooms girls, girl, grooms girl.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Maybe she can get on her knees and bring the
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: rain down, ring bear. Yeah, this is gonna be a
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: crazy marriage. But he's not listening to anyone, so it
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense. I mean, what are we talking about.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: If it's not good before you getting married's going to him?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: The part about the baby, that's the most important thing.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: You want a baby and she doesn't. Yeah, it wasn't
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: what he don't want to deal to be broken wide though. Bro,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: you're not winning in this one. You can't see your
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: family because she wants you to spend and all your
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: time with her family, her kids. This is what huh anyway,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: this is how the voice has happened. People that ain't thinking, yeah,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: they're getting married for all the wrong reasons. You're right, well,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: but I don't even know what what reason he's using
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: to get married? Um? Yeah, I mean she didn't say that,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: she just said that he wants her in the wedding.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Um his wife. She is whiny and selfish. And then
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: he runs to the to the woman who wrote this
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: letter when it gets too unbearable for him. So he knows.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: So let me guess what happened here. Okay, the wife
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: that he's gone mad, real whiny. She the wine whole
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: way up on a proposal. Now he fit to go
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: through with it, just to stop the whiney, to shut
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: her up. You find you finning get up in some
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: hill here, and y'all called me stupid. This is what
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I'm talking about. This is what I'm talking about. Got
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: me beating up, some folks, got me beat all right, listen,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: we got to the stupid though. Tim At forty six
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, Sports Talk was Junior right after this.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: You're listening show? All right, guys, listen up, Junior is
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: here with Sports Talk. What you got Junior? Well, first
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: of all, let me say thank you to everybody who
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: came out to Atlanta commun Theater Thursday. It was outstanding.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Great shown man, man, crazy man. Feel how I feel
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: to go back down? I'm going to Birmingham? How was it? Man?
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: That first step there? Tim let me tell you something, man,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: it ain't. First of all, the chord was wrapped up
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: so tight. I couldn't move that far. But it felt
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: good even to start to show like that, just to
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: be on the stage. Man. Man, people clapping for you,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: They're glad to see you. It was like a family reunion.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Everybody would to see everybody, right, yeah, just happy to
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: be out man. Social distance and everything. They had added mass,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: so they were laughing through the mass. There you go,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: there you go. Okay. I know it was hot, though
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I couldn't said that. Look they was loved the hot.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: But thank y'all so much. Though atl I appreciate it.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I loved it, loved it. But I want to say
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: a huge thank you and shout out to Major League Baseball. Man,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: this was a big move. I'm proud of Baseball for
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: doing this, for moving the MLB All Star Game from
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Atlanta after the State of Georgia as the new restrictive
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: voting law. They moved it. They took it out. That's
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: they they're not playing. That's big. That's big. The players,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: the owners, you right, call of the league. They moved
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: it out because of the voting laws that they passed
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: here in Georgia. Man, they said, we're not gonna be
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: a part of that. Man, so we I'm proud of
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: him for doing that. Make League Baseball released a statement
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: stating that Makes League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: all Americans and a polar restrictions to the ballot box. Man.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: And so they made that move. Man. It didn't take long.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: It didn't think about it. They did it. It's over.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I heard. You know the governor's complaining, but we're not.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: We're not having the game here. When you get finished complain,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: when you finished complaining, they're not playing. Yeah, so that's big. Yeah,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: grow vote Major League Baseball. Well, you know the Final
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: four weekend, you know, basketball and other sports news. J Chap,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: what's up? Did you see it that Gonzaga game? Hey,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Manza is not playing, man, But you know who else
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: ain't playing? Bla ain't playing either? Man? Something game except
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: for the night Bayla. Ain't Gonzaga going at it? Man.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: But I gotta give a shout out to Standford. They
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: beat Arizona by one point in the women's championship games
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to fifty three. And it was a good game. College. Yes, yes,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: they're telling you these girls be hoping. Yes they do, man,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: and they don't get the recognition they should get. Man,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: they all bad. They get it today, they get it
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: right now? Yes, ladies, all right, all right, thank you Junior.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, trending this
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: morning last night's versus Battle between earth Win and Fire
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: and the Isley Brothers with your host Steve Harvey. We'll
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: talk more about it right after this. You're listening well, Steve,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: you've been riding high all morning, just you know, reminiscing
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: about last night and the big versus battle with the
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Isley Brothers and Earthwin and Fire. M I got a question,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Go ahead, go ahead, okay, So, Steve, what was your
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: favorite moment from last night from versus Battle and so
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: many I want to didn't go back? You come on board.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: That one did something to me. Oh, Love's Holiday did sometime.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: He played a different version of That's the Way of
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: the World. That was the first song, which is my
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: all time favorite song. So that yeah, but that damn
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Can't Hide Love? WHOA. I like the fact that they
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: admired each other's music too, you know. I think I
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: remember ron Ley saying something about after he heard devotion.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: He wrote Choosy Beggar and Man while he was playing
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: a s and he sung the exact same melody. Yeah.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: So they've been admiring each other for a quite a while.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I like that. Then they said they were doing an
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: album together collabo. Wow. And you know what it was
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: so cool for the for Earth Wind and Fire to
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: watch Ernie Isley when he did that Boys to Atlantis.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Was that when he did that breakdown on the Oh,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: he was killing it, killing the game on the guitar.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: You know when he put the thing up, he was
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: playing it with his teeth. Wow, he was. And we
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: put it behind his back he was playing it. Yeah,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: that was that was Those were just cool moments. I mean,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: just major moments. So how many again, how many office
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: did Ron we bring? Ron had ten? I'm just gonna
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: decide which one I'm gonna watching run. They ain't bringing
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: any damn changes. I may changed. You had stick too, too, Okay,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: what they told me in a mission they want you
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: to change. I said, all right, well we wanted you
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: to change. That's part of the show. Yeah, you had
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: to change. That's so I'm supposed to do that. Oh,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: that's that. Although that purple suit was fly. I wouldn't
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: have been mad if you had kept that on all
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: night because it was really in the white hat butcher change.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: But it was really nice. I mean just everything I loved.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: It was just it was just such an honor man
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: to sit there. And I tell you, man, my daughter Carley,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: she summed it up best. She said, Dad, these were
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: the songs. Was the soundtrack to your life. That was
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: crazy for me because I had never looked at it.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: And that's why I got to text her back and
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: tell her that's the best message I got. Oh, she said,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: to see you sitting up there with your friends. Because
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I'm friends with these dudes. I just don't get to
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: see them like I ain't seen Ron. The last time
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I saw Ron, oh was probably five six years ago.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: He looked like he was happy to see you. To Steve,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: you should have seen Oh, you should have seen this
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: in the dressing room when I got to the Wheel
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Turn theater. H Oh, we're sitting back that crime. When
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I get with Digital Underground and do mine and be
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: with Humping Neil, Yeah, that's gonna be my moment right now. Really,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: when I get on me show that version time with
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: that one. Oh man, we all just gonna do a Yeah,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna do versus with you, you verse you vers us.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Were you nervous at all, Steve a little bit before?
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Huh huh? Because I didn't understand the format. Yeah, okay,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: and I knew they didn't. So now eight eight black
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: dudes out there don't know what to do. All right.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Sea Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: up at about twenty minutes after the hour, right after
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We have
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: to say this. We applaud Major League Baseball and now
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Coca Cola, Delta, and JP Morgan Chase are all leading
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: the way of Georgia based companies condemning the state's new
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Georgia voter suppression law. Congratulations to those companies for stepping out.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Yeahs of these companies stand against efforts that prevent Americans
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: from being able to vote. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: It is amazing, man, what they've done in Georgia. Yeah,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's crazy. Now he all out front
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: talking about will not be Buffalo and red and our
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: state is a great state, and we'll quit drinking Coca Cola,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: go ahead, m Georgia ain't the only place because because
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: y'all want some voter suppression and it's just trifling what
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: they've done. That he did the signing behind closed doors
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: that he gonna come out all out in the front.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Now try to act and bring up Stacy Abrams names.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Stacy Abrams was actually against the boycott because she knows
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: it a hurt the economy in Georgia and saw us
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: uh keisha Land's bottom. But she appreciates the companies for
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: standing up and and Governor Kemp, let me tell you something, partner,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: whenever your day come up. This your last turn. M
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: all right, all right, we'll have more of the Steve
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up. Had thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: the hour right after this you're listening show. So Steve,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: we're back talking about the versus battle last night and
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: which she posted, Um, you know, I love the story
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: you told about. You wrote the words to earth Wind
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: and Fire's Devotion down and you gave them to one
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: of thistle, this girl you were interested in, Yoshi Jackson
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: or whatever her name was, and uh, she said she
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: thought that was so sweet. How did the Fellas, what
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: did they think about that Earth Wind and Fire. I
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: mean like they was tripping man, because you know I have.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: It's like really crazy. It's like my daughter said, all
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: this music that that I will host it last night
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: was really the soundtracks for my life, earth Wind and Fire.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: See I knew ron Ozzy Neil music before that, you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: work to do that lady and all like that because
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: my brother's name listened to it. But when I was
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: old enough to go and buy my own music, or
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: when the Vibe came out when I was senior in
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: high school, and Lord have mercy Jesus, when that damn
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: Devotion album came out, Mighty Mighty, you need to vosh
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: bless it. Other Chu dran I wrote that entire song
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: out on a piece of poster board, rolled it up,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: put it on my back, got on my bike, rolled
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: to Mioshee house and gave it to him. Wow, because
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I ain't know you know, you need to hit this.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: This is so beautiful, man, I need I need a
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: check to hit this. Yeah yeah, she said, Wow, that's
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: the sweetest thing anybody ever done. That was a true story.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: But you asked Ronald Issley a question last night. Steve
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: or and Ernie Isslee about writing songs about didn't you
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: ask them to compliment that all of their songs was
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: complimenting women. Yea, you know they they they said they
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: never they don't you had to compliment women. All their
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: songs was about love, feeling, thinking, missing them, wanting them,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: having them, being lonely without them, trying to do right
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: vibe you know, I mean, you know, And and that's
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: that's how they focused on their songs. If you look
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: at her, when the five they wrote love songs, and
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: when they wasn't writing love songs, they wrote songs about
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: the world. Yeah, that's the way of the world. Fight
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: the power, you know, stuff, painting a pretty smile each day.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: And then you know, and and then when they wrote
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: a party song, it still had a message in it,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: you know, Boogie Wonderland, Let's Groove Tonight, Donna, you know,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: fight the power all this And it was the first
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: time and on V group ever cussed on an album.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: What's when Ronald Osley said, all this bull blank going
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: down coming up At forty nine minutes after the hour,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Monday, after
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: the Versus Battle with the host of the Versus Battle
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: and some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Harvey right after this you're listening to show all right, guys,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: here we are at our last break of the day
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: on this Monday, after the big Versus battle, which was
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Greatness hosted by Greatness. We enjoyed it all. Thanks for it, Steve,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Thanks for that moment. It was. It was really good, man,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: It was really good. So knock him. That's just one
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: of the things I never saw coming that God grace
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: me with. I can chalk that up as another great
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: moment I had. I didn't see that coming at all.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: You know. It's just amazing, man, some of the things
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: that God has graced me to do. I mean, it's
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: just it really trips me out, man, because God does things,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: you know. You know, grace is God's undeserved merit in favor.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: And when it says undeserved merit, that means merit means
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: you can't earn it. It's just you can't earn grace,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: and grace can't be earned, and it can't be purchased.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: It's just something God gives to you and you and
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the average person don't even have sense enough to ask
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: for it because grace is so big that you really
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: don't know how to ask for it because it's it's like, ah,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: I guess it's like a surprised bonus for your faith
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: in life. Yeah, simply because you believe in me, and
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: even if you don't acknowledge me as much as you should,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I'm just gonna ward you some grace simply because I
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: love you and I see you trying. So here comes
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: a free one. Steve Harvey. I'm gonna allow you to
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: sit with some groups that you would never get in
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the same room with in years, and I'm gonna let
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: you sit and have a moment with them. And it
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: wasn't for getting the highest numbers, and it was, but
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: it was such an epic night in terms of the
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: sheer number of hits that these men have. It's daunting.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: You look at them. Man, everybody five, I got thirty
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: five albums. What that's a lot? Thirty five that's a lot.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: They said, I don't know, we got thirty five albums.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: You know. They they put out stuff people don't know
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: nothing about, you know. And then you look at ron
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Ozzy has had twenty eight platinum albums one hundred one.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: You're in the eleven singles on the chart, daunting numbers man.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: And they were doing it at a time when they
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: didn't track black people on Billboard. And like I said,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: these cats was doing that at a time when there
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: was no tracks. You couldn't lay your track down, and
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I come lay down. They eventually got into that, but
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: when they first talked too, none of that. It wasn't
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: no tracks, were no auto tune, none of it. They
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: had to go into basement practice, come upstairs, short to
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: their mom and um, they say that other part don't
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: sound good and take hands back down that basement practice,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: come upstairs, get some studio money, and boom. Like her
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: whining Fire said they were doing the station wagon too
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: when Head to the Sky came out. That's crazy. I
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: didn't even know that. That's just a deep yeah. I mean,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: just hearing these stories, it's like the history of it all,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: you know. It's just the history so many And I
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: just wish that young people, even though we're in a
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: fast society, I wish young people would understand sometimes they
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: old old is the gold partner. If you can be
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: seventy nine and look and sound like Ron Osley, you
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: better hope. You better hope that you can stand up
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: and be that charming at seventy nine, still be able
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: to drive, move around and all like that. Come on, man,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: that's a blessed man. And to watch the sheer number
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: of hits them cass had, that's history, man, And I
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: was just so honored to be sitting there man, with
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: the men who created, in essence what my daughter said
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: was the soundtrack of my life. That's craziness, man, And like, really, man,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: I have to put that in perspective, and I'm really
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: gonna think about it today as I go out to
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: go throughout my day because I have to really look
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: at this man and go wild. What a moment that
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: God allowed me to have. And everybody don't understand what
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: was happening last night. Everybody wasn't interested in last night.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: But for those who were, who got dressed up for it,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: who was sitting there listening to it and loving it,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: you know, man, you can't worry about it. And that's
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: another thing let me tell y'all people. So when you're
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: on your way to something God has done for you,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: you can't worry what everybody say about it. You just can't.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: You have to go on about your business when God
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: does something for you, Everybody not gonna see it, and
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: that's why God gave it to you and not to them.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: So for the people who appreciated it, it was for you,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: the people that sat there and said, man, that was dope.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: I love that. That's who it was for. You know,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: it's easy to get on the bandwagon and find something criticize,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: but that's okay. You know that it maybe it's not
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: your thing. If you're living in this world and you
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: think that everybody's going to like you, folks, you're going
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: to be highly disappointed. Prepare prepare yourself for the fact
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: that everybody ain't gonna like you, and be okay with it.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Live your life for those who appreciate you, who get you,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: who love you and support you, and don't give your
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: energy to the other people because that is undeserving. Don't
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: waste your energy trying to get somebody to like you
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: when their job is to not like you. They're here
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: for that. And so as you have haters in life,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: understand that haters are there to let you know that
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: you're doing something and you own track and just remember that. Man.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: And so when God gives you great moments in your life,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: just appreciate them. And when you run into people who
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: don't get it, it's why God didn't give them that
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: great moment. He gave it to you. That's how I feel.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Great verses last night. Thank y'all for you love and support. Y'all,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: keep talking to God. God would love to hear from you,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: and we'll see y'all tomorrow. For all Steve Harvey contests,
