- 0:15Speaker 1: like the milling bus things and it's not through good.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It has to mother. Please, I don't join joining. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You haven't got to turn them out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water go. Come come on your thaw,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall well a good morning everybody. You are listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, come on dig me now one it
- 2:09Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey got a radio show? Man. I love
- 2:15Speaker 1: it when I run up into people and they say
- 2:17Speaker 1: that to me. They say, hey, Steve Harvey got a
- 2:19Speaker 1: radio show. Then they wink at man, I know they're listening.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You know, I got a lot off my chest yesterday.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I wanted to clear some things up. And I appreciate
- 2:26Speaker 1: y'all giving me a minute, because sometimes, you know, you
- 2:29Speaker 1: just gotta say some things out loud. Not complaining, but hey,
- 2:34Speaker 1: just verbalizing, but realizing that I gotta keep going anyway.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And that's for my words this morning to you that
- 2:42Speaker 1: I want you to keep pushing no matter what happens.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I want to share something with you that's important that's very,
- 2:52Speaker 1: very important. See, you have to give God something too,
- 2:57Speaker 1: bless you know, if your prayer is asking for God's blessings,
- 3:04Speaker 1: you gotta give him something to work with. Now, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 1: you got to show the spirit of appreciation or gratitude.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You gotta let him know that you're in it for
- 3:17Speaker 1: the long haul. No matter what happens. Don't turn around.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You will never ever see what the end could be.
- 3:30Speaker 1: If you turn around and go back, you'll never know
- 3:34Speaker 1: what the end could have been had you stuck it out.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You'll never know how good it could have gotten had
- 3:44Speaker 1: you not just weathered the storm. That's the thing that
- 3:49Speaker 1: gets most people. They get tough for them, It get
- 3:55Speaker 1: hard for them, and then they let doubts set in,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and then those doubts become facts and the next thing
- 4:01Speaker 1: you know, they give up. Had you not given up,
- 4:06Speaker 1: or had you given your best, what the results or
- 4:09Speaker 1: outcome could have been. I look back on my life
- 4:12Speaker 1: on so many occasions where in college I wasn't giving
- 4:17Speaker 1: my best. Now I flunked out. Now it's easy to
- 4:23Speaker 1: look at my life nine go yeah, but look at
- 4:25Speaker 1: you now. But back then, man, it cost me for
- 4:30Speaker 1: so many years that failing to finish that not giving
- 4:36Speaker 1: my all. It cost me a number of years. I
- 4:42Speaker 1: wish I could say that it didn't mean nothing, that
- 4:45Speaker 1: it was just a blimp on the radar screen screen,
- 4:48Speaker 1: but at the time it was major. And so you
- 4:51Speaker 1: have a lot of decisions in your life that are
- 4:53Speaker 1: happening now. You may be in your twenties, your late teens,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you could be in your early thirties, and it's happening.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But guess what you'll eventually get through it provided one
- 5:05Speaker 1: thing you never give up. You never turn around and
- 5:09Speaker 1: go back. Had I written myself off because of one failure, see,
- 5:15Speaker 1: and this is where so many people go but go
- 5:17Speaker 1: wrong at two. You write yourself off after you failed
- 5:20Speaker 1: at something, the one thing you thought you wanted to accomplish,
- 5:25Speaker 1: and you failed at it. Now you write yourself as
- 5:28Speaker 1: a failure. Now you go settle on end to life
- 5:31Speaker 1: and just see what See what hand you get had
- 5:35Speaker 1: when I flunked out of college, had I written myself
- 5:38Speaker 1: off as a failure, I wouldn't be here today. When
- 5:42Speaker 1: I lost my carpet cleaning company, I would have written
- 5:45Speaker 1: myself as a failure. And I wouldn't be here today
- 5:49Speaker 1: when I didn't become a diamond distributed in Amway or
- 5:52Speaker 1: a direct distributor in am Way, even I would have
- 5:55Speaker 1: written myself as a failure and I wouldn't be here today.
- 6:01Speaker 1: When I bought a distribution kit to become a distributor
- 6:04Speaker 1: of the Bohemian Diet and I didn't make it, I
- 6:10Speaker 1: would have written myself as a failure. When I became
- 6:13Speaker 1: an Al William's distributor and I didn't make it, I
- 6:16Speaker 1: would have written myself as a failure, and I wouldn't
- 6:18Speaker 1: be here today. Oh, I got a list for you.
- 6:22Speaker 1: When I got laid off it for a motor company.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Had I written myself as a failure, I wouldn't have
- 6:28Speaker 1: made it. Do you need some more? Because I have
- 6:34Speaker 1: a story filled with mishaps. I have a story filled
- 6:39Speaker 1: with failures. A couple of things now, the grace of
- 6:44Speaker 1: God and his mercy which is available to us all.
- 6:48Speaker 1: See that's the key, y'all, Because of his mercy, because
- 6:53Speaker 1: of his willingness to forgive and to even understand why
- 7:00Speaker 1: we do the things we do. In all of my shortcomings,
- 7:06Speaker 1: failed marriages I'm talking about, man got it all wrong.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I can't blame nobody else. It's just me, Steve ain't
- 7:15Speaker 1: have it together at that point in life. I've could
- 7:19Speaker 1: have ridden myself as a failure the first time I could.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I just could have gave up on it after the
- 7:25Speaker 1: second one. And please know that this is an admission.
- 7:30Speaker 1: This ain't bragging. So before you start in with me,
- 7:32Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. I'm pointing out in my life
- 7:38Speaker 1: a series of missteps and failures. But how I still
- 7:43Speaker 1: get here today A couple of things. God's grace and
- 7:49Speaker 1: mercy is first. But that's the key that's for everybody
- 7:55Speaker 1: see if it's God's willingness to forgive you and God's
- 8:00Speaker 1: understanding of why we do what we do because he
- 8:03Speaker 1: said we wasn't gonna be perfect. So in all of
- 8:07Speaker 1: your imperfections, your creator told you you would not be perfect.
- 8:12Speaker 1: He's sad it to you. It's out there. I don't
- 8:15Speaker 1: care which one of the books you read it tells
- 8:18Speaker 1: you that. So guess what With that in mind, he
- 8:23Speaker 1: has a grace that he has. It's like a grace period.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It's like when you don't pay your insurance premium on
- 8:30Speaker 1: the day that is due. The next day, they don't
- 8:33Speaker 1: just cancel your insurance premium. They have a grace period
- 8:38Speaker 1: because they ain't trying to stop this money from coming in.
- 8:42Speaker 1: But when it comes to God, there's no money required.
- 8:45Speaker 1: He just gives you the grace freely. It don't cost
- 8:49Speaker 1: you nothing. So you got tap into that, y'all. You
- 8:52Speaker 1: gotta get in touch with that, because that's an important
- 8:54Speaker 1: part to making it. Understanding that His grace is available.
- 8:58Speaker 1: So when you make a mistake, So when you fail
- 9:02Speaker 1: at it, he has a loophole in the contract with
- 9:06Speaker 1: him that allows you to make mistakes, that allows you
- 9:09Speaker 1: to get it wrong, that allows you to fail time
- 9:13Speaker 1: and time and time again. But if you never give up,
- 9:16Speaker 1: if you keep getting up, if you keep trying, if
- 9:19Speaker 1: you keep striving, if you keep making the effort to
- 9:23Speaker 1: go forward and not go back, God has a blessing
- 9:27Speaker 1: for you, and He has it in abundance for you,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and God will give it to you at the right time.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But you got to be ready. Oh, I want it
- 9:38Speaker 1: to be successful. But if he had given it to
- 9:41Speaker 1: me back then, I wouldn't have handled it correctly because
- 9:45Speaker 1: I would have made some more mistakes along the way.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So you make the mistakes to learn the lessons. Lord.
- 9:53Speaker 1: They ain't God been good to me, I ain't gonna
- 9:55Speaker 1: lie to you. Cool. You're listening show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is morning.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I am Steve Harvey. This is the show. But I
- 10:13Speaker 1: might add this show would be nothing without the following people.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm about to introduce, ladies and gentlemen. Shirley Strawberry, Good
- 10:23Speaker 1: morning Steve. Ladies and gentlemen, Carla for real, Good morning Steve. Hey, crew,
- 10:32Speaker 1: boys and girls, Junior morning, Uncle Steve's thank you very much.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Those of you with limited intelligence, nephew, Tommy, I'll accept that, baby,
- 10:49Speaker 1: what I'll accept that give me 'all that. I don't
- 10:52Speaker 1: let ignance I all that stupied it. They're less intelligence. Yes, yes,
- 10:57Speaker 1: that's me. Hey, what's happening top of the morning. It's thirsty?
- 11:00Speaker 1: Love it, love it all? Right, Well we're here, Yeah
- 11:06Speaker 1: we are, Yeah, we're here. Yeah. Every morning you don't
- 11:11Speaker 1: know up and y'all. You know, look as we wake
- 11:16Speaker 1: up and we deal with the condition that America is in.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Let me just say this to everybody listening early in
- 11:25Speaker 1: the morning. You know you can change this. You know
- 11:30Speaker 1: you can write many of these wrongs if you just
- 11:34Speaker 1: do one simple thing exercise. You're right to vote amos
- 11:40Speaker 1: say that, Steve. I'm telling you, man, it is the
- 11:43Speaker 1: only way to do this. We are marching Black Lives matter.
- 11:47Speaker 1: They are still shooting us. We are marching for black
- 11:50Speaker 1: lives matter. They are still letting officers go off the hook.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Because we have got to get in there and put
- 11:58Speaker 1: people in office who will make laws that affect us.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And the main problem with this, Brianna Taylor, in every
- 12:05Speaker 1: other case, is that police officers have what's called qualified
- 12:11Speaker 1: annuity immunity. They have qualified immunity simply means as long
- 12:19Speaker 1: as they are performing their job in the line of
- 12:23Speaker 1: duty and they fear for their life or they think
- 12:27Speaker 1: they saw a gun or weapon, they are free from
- 12:31Speaker 1: individual librlity immunity. Maybe that'll help you know. We need
- 12:42Speaker 1: to get rid of qualified immunity and just how police
- 12:45Speaker 1: officers be held accountable to the same laws that they
- 12:49Speaker 1: are paid to uphold. You can't kill innocent people their homes.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You at the wrong huh, She at the wrong place
- 13:01Speaker 1: at the wrong time, and nothing, nothing happened to her,
- 13:08Speaker 1: And they charges they come up with these officers nothing.
- 13:13Speaker 1: He wouldn't pay this fun and he could the family
- 13:15Speaker 1: said offensive and outrageous disrespect. Yeah, just so. So they
- 13:23Speaker 1: go back to work too. They still got their jobs too. Well.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They only charge one officer, right, he was he'd already
- 13:30Speaker 1: been fired, he was, by all right, we'll talk about it,
- 13:34Speaker 1: of course throughout the morning. We're gonna lighten things up
- 13:38Speaker 1: when we come back and get into some Ask the
- 13:40Speaker 1: CLO at thirty two minutes after the hour, right after
- 13:43Speaker 1: this you're listening show all right, time now for Ask
- 13:48Speaker 1: the CLO. If you want to ask the CLO a
- 13:52Speaker 1: love question, please go to Steve Harvey FM dot com
- 13:55Speaker 1: and submit your question to our Chief Love Officer, the CLO,
- 13:59Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. He says he's ready. This one is from
- 14:02Speaker 1: Missus Brown, Steve chief Love Officer in Saint Louis. She says,
- 14:07Speaker 1: I've been married for sixteen years and I'm retired, but
- 14:10Speaker 1: my husband still works. I love it when he goes
- 14:13Speaker 1: to work because I get to have peace and quiet.
- 14:16Speaker 1: As soon as he comes in. He tells me every
- 14:19Speaker 1: detail from his day, what he had for lunch, about
- 14:22Speaker 1: his customers, etc. And I don't think I can take
- 14:26Speaker 1: much more of it. He talks through through the TV
- 14:29Speaker 1: shows I love and if I ignore him, he gets
- 14:31Speaker 1: on the phone and talks loudly. I'm about to make
- 14:34Speaker 1: a woman cave in the basement to get away from him.
- 14:38Speaker 1: He doesn't get the hints I've been giving him. Is
- 14:40Speaker 1: there a way too politely? Tell him to hush? Oh, baby, baby, baby, listen,
- 14:49Speaker 1: sweet sweetet, listen to me. You talk too, Damn, I'm
- 14:55Speaker 1: renewed from you. Get in touch with your mask skinny side. Damn.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Now on Monday nights and Thursday night is football? Going
- 15:07Speaker 1: in and watch it? Okay, that's something. That's something because
- 15:14Speaker 1: so many women say, my husband doesn't talk to me
- 15:18Speaker 1: around Yeah. Yeah, he talks too. It's really hard when
- 15:22Speaker 1: you got to listen to something you're not truly interested.
- 15:25Speaker 1: She'll caen about his job or his customs. Nothing. She's
- 15:28Speaker 1: happy when he's away, she's happy. They've been married sixteen
- 15:33Speaker 1: year old. All right. So now at the same time,
- 15:36Speaker 1: the dude ain't had nobody to talk to you. Better
- 15:38Speaker 1: work all days. Right, You're gonna have to talk to him.
- 15:40Speaker 1: You've been at home. Most women can't get think man
- 15:43Speaker 1: to talk to him. Just said I just said that. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: all right? Uh, moving on, Clo Leonard and Chicago says,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I made a big mistake by trying to prank my wife.
- 15:55Speaker 1: She gets me all the time. This is a pranking
- 16:00Speaker 1: Celo question. So I tried to pay her back. I
- 16:04Speaker 1: had a friend call her and tell her she saw
- 16:06Speaker 1: a female in my car. My friend described a fake woman,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and my wife's mind went straight to one of my coworkers.
- 16:13Speaker 1: The prank started Saturday night and my wife was quiet
- 16:17Speaker 1: the rest of the weekend. Monday morning, the stuff hit
- 16:21Speaker 1: the fan. She barged into my job, ready to fight
- 16:25Speaker 1: my coworker. What you do ish? She was out of control.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I kept telling her it's a prank. It was a prank,
- 16:35Speaker 1: and the person didn't exist. I got written up at
- 16:38Speaker 1: work and my wife doesn't believe it was a prank.
- 16:40Speaker 1: She still wants to fight. How can I fix this
- 16:43Speaker 1: messrs Ah, you went too far? Bro and I listened
- 16:50Speaker 1: when you when you prank? Wait? Wait? Wait? What did
- 16:53Speaker 1: you just say? He went too far? Everybody? Okay, see
- 16:57Speaker 1: how you gotta understand everybody? Can you do this? It
- 17:00Speaker 1: stills it skills to pranking. You can't just you can't
- 17:05Speaker 1: prank and leave it out there and let it linger
- 17:08Speaker 1: all over the weekend. Don't say nothing. But now Sunday
- 17:11Speaker 1: night she quiet. You don't know what's going to happen.
- 17:14Speaker 1: It's fenn explode Monday morning. You mess this up. You
- 17:17Speaker 1: should have at least told your wife. He I know
- 17:20Speaker 1: why you ain't talking. Okay, it was me. I did it.
- 17:23Speaker 1: It was a joke. I was messing with you. Y'ada,
- 17:25Speaker 1: y'all get it off. You let it linger. This is
- 17:28Speaker 1: your fault. Now you got to deal with it. Okay.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's why you gotta rolled up at your damn job.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Because if you wanted to prank your wife, you should
- 17:34Speaker 1: have done what what you should have went. You should
- 17:37Speaker 1: went to Steve Harker dot com and left me an
- 17:38Speaker 1: email and I could have done this for you. But
- 17:42Speaker 1: she went to his job and was ready to fight
- 17:45Speaker 1: the woman. All Lord, Tommy, he was a rookie and amateur.
- 17:52Speaker 1: But Steve is asking you, Tommy, he said, because you
- 17:56Speaker 1: always go too far, and you're telling this guy he
- 17:59Speaker 1: went too are because Shirley, before I get off this,
- 18:02Speaker 1: before I get off the phone, I am making sure
- 18:05Speaker 1: that everybody is cool. Yeah you know what I mean.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I'm making sure. Okay, you're not You're not gonna lose
- 18:11Speaker 1: your man. You know something really super I don't know
- 18:13Speaker 1: how you let his wife and I talk to him
- 18:14Speaker 1: for two days. What the hell he thought was gonna happen?
- 18:18Speaker 1: You know why it's brewing? You know why she quiet?
- 18:22Speaker 1: But she's always pranking him? All right, okay, so Tommy,
- 18:28Speaker 1: don't let it go too far. Give me a number,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I call out out. All right, clo, here we go.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Mohammedan DC says, I'm a twenty eight year old man
- 18:43Speaker 1: and I think I found the love of my life.
- 18:46Speaker 1: But she's an introvert. When we're alarmed, when we're alone,
- 18:49Speaker 1: she talks and she's bubbly. But when I talk take
- 18:52Speaker 1: her in different social situations, she can't leave my side
- 18:55Speaker 1: and socialize with others without me. She comes off as
- 18:59Speaker 1: being rude, So my friends girlfriends don't get along with her.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I'm usually the life of the party and she's a
- 19:06Speaker 1: buzz kill. Am I making a mistake to pursue a
- 19:09Speaker 1: relationship with someone that's so opposite from me? Will this
- 19:12Speaker 1: pose a problem in the future. It's posing a problem now.
- 19:18Speaker 1: You're an extrovert, she's an introvert. And then you young,
- 19:22Speaker 1: you have to impress more age where you want your
- 19:24Speaker 1: friends to like who you're dating. They don't. Is it
- 19:28Speaker 1: going to pose a problem in the future. It's a
- 19:30Speaker 1: problem now. But you say you've met the girl of
- 19:34Speaker 1: your dream, the love of my life. Couldn't he he
- 19:41Speaker 1: pull her out of that show that he can't change nobody. Yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 1: it's who she is, dog. You can't change people. Have
- 19:51Speaker 1: you ever tried changing somebody? I have? And how that
- 19:56Speaker 1: worked out for you? Sir? I'm remarried. So your advice, CLO,
- 20:04Speaker 1: is for him not to pursue a relationship with her
- 20:07Speaker 1: because she's so opposite. You know, if being the life
- 20:10Speaker 1: of the party is everything to you and it means
- 20:12Speaker 1: that much to you and she's not with that, what
- 20:14Speaker 1: you're gonna do, You're gonna have to stop being who
- 20:16Speaker 1: you are. Two people shouldn't get together to have to
- 20:19Speaker 1: change each other right now. If you're willing to change
- 20:22Speaker 1: for someone, that's an option, But you can't make another
- 20:26Speaker 1: person change, So he should become a buzz kill if
- 20:29Speaker 1: he wants to stay with her, that's crazy. Well guess
- 20:37Speaker 1: all right? Well, thank you, Clo, as always, great advice.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Coming up next to next and me, I help, I
- 20:43Speaker 1: help this time? Oh yeah, everything, Yeah, what'd you say, Junior?
- 20:52Speaker 1: This boy won't credit for everything coming at the neck
- 20:55Speaker 1: and the nephew will run that prank back right after this.
- 20:58Speaker 1: You're listening you Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 21:02Speaker 1: top of the hour, Miss Anna's standing by with today's
- 21:05Speaker 1: national news and in entertainment news, Time's most influential one
- 21:09Speaker 1: hundred and the Tiger Kings Carol Baskin is being sued
- 21:13Speaker 1: for defamation. We'll talk about all of these stories at
- 21:15Speaker 1: the top of the hour, but right now, the nephew
- 21:17Speaker 1: is here to run that prank back. What you got
- 21:20Speaker 1: for us, nest Your wife is cheating on both of us.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Go ahead, kat Dog, if you would. Your wife is
- 21:30Speaker 1: cheating on both of us. Not a sermon. We want
- 21:35Speaker 1: to turn to the Book of Cheating, if you would, six,
- 21:41Speaker 1: chapter verse nine. I shall not cheat on two people
- 21:47Speaker 1: at the same time. All right, let's go, Kat. Hello,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I'm trying to rease Terrence. Please, who's calling? Who's this? Hey?
- 21:57Speaker 1: My name is Mark. My name is Mark. How you doing, brother?
- 21:59Speaker 1: I'll work with um. With your wife, Veronica, we're on
- 22:02Speaker 1: the same sales floor together. I think I met you before,
- 22:05Speaker 1: but I don't know if you remember meeting me, but um,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I work at the job with Veronica. Is everything on
- 22:11Speaker 1: right there or what's going on? No? No, no, everything
- 22:14Speaker 1: is straight here at the job. Not a problem at
- 22:16Speaker 1: all at the job. But I wanted to yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:20Speaker 1: she's all right, She's perfectly fine. Man. Um, I just
- 22:22Speaker 1: I just you know, I actually, like I said, my
- 22:25Speaker 1: name is Mark Man. You don't remember me, Terrence, But
- 22:27Speaker 1: I just wanted to talk to you. Like I say, um,
- 22:30Speaker 1: you know, I got some things on that that's been
- 22:31Speaker 1: bothered me for a minute, and I you know, I
- 22:34Speaker 1: just I just kind of wanted to reach out to
- 22:36Speaker 1: you and you know, just kind of have like a
- 22:38Speaker 1: little a little hard to hard talk with you. Man.
- 22:40Speaker 1: So maybe you know, uh, you know, we can get
- 22:42Speaker 1: things in a a in a better position. But I
- 22:44Speaker 1: just wanted I just wanted me and you to have
- 22:46Speaker 1: a conversation. Wait, man, how did you get mine? Veronica?
- 22:50Speaker 1: Give you my number? Or how did you get my number?
- 22:52Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to like, what's going on? I
- 22:55Speaker 1: mean I had I had I've had your number. I
- 22:57Speaker 1: just I just I just had never reached out to
- 22:59Speaker 1: you for But like I say, though, man, this this
- 23:02Speaker 1: this has been bothering me for a minute, and I
- 23:03Speaker 1: wanted to get it off my chest so you and
- 23:05Speaker 1: I can try to, I guess, fix this whole issue.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But I just want us to see if we can
- 23:10Speaker 1: fix it, you know, well fix the issue. What's the issue?
- 23:14Speaker 1: I don't understand. I'm not following you. I don't understand what, like,
- 23:17Speaker 1: what is the issue? So but now you know, like
- 23:21Speaker 1: I said, I went on to talk to me, what's
- 23:25Speaker 1: going on? Okay, Yeah, your wife, man is cheating on
- 23:33Speaker 1: both of us, and we gotta figure out how we
- 23:35Speaker 1: gotta do something about this, man, all right? I mean,
- 23:38Speaker 1: did you say she's eating on the both of us?
- 23:40Speaker 1: What cheating? She is cheating on the both of us, Bronte,
- 23:47Speaker 1: It sounds like you said cheating. I don't know what
- 23:49Speaker 1: you Veronica. Listen to me, Teters, Veronica is cheating on
- 23:55Speaker 1: both of us? You say, Vera is cheating on me
- 23:58Speaker 1: and me? You know, and we gotta we gotta figure
- 24:01Speaker 1: out what we're gonna do. Man. But as a husband,
- 24:03Speaker 1: I gotta you gotta. I'm gonna need you to step
- 24:05Speaker 1: up and get this thing in order. What you're talking about?
- 24:08Speaker 1: Did you say Veronica is cheating? I mean with you. No, No,
- 24:12Speaker 1: she cheating on both of us with somebody else. I know,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I've been noticing her going out with this, you know,
- 24:19Speaker 1: going to lunch with this other cat. So I'm like,
- 24:22Speaker 1: I got pissed off about it. So I said, you
- 24:25Speaker 1: know what, I can't take you no more. I'm calling Terence.
- 24:28Speaker 1: You're saying to me that my wife has been cheating
- 24:31Speaker 1: around a job with somebody else. She cheating on both
- 24:35Speaker 1: of us. Dude, I don't get what you mean if
- 24:38Speaker 1: my wife has cheated on what I mean you're calling
- 24:40Speaker 1: me to tell me that she's cheating on me. I
- 24:42Speaker 1: appreciate that, but I don't get what you're saying. You know,
- 24:45Speaker 1: both of us say. I don't get that part. I
- 24:47Speaker 1: don't understand what you mean. Me and Veronica has been,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you know, kind of cool. You know, last eight months
- 24:54Speaker 1: to a year, we've been, you know, pretty tight here
- 24:56Speaker 1: at the job. You know what I'm saying. So listen
- 24:58Speaker 1: what you mean y'all been. That's what I don't understand. Like,
- 25:02Speaker 1: what do you mean y'all being cool? Because that's my wife.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Tell me what you're talking about? Okay. All I'm saying
- 25:08Speaker 1: is me and me and me and her been real cool.
- 25:10Speaker 1: We've been real tight. You know. Sometimes we take lunch
- 25:13Speaker 1: and then you know, don't come back. That's our thing though.
- 25:15Speaker 1: But you know now, you know I'm noticing. You know,
- 25:18Speaker 1: she she didn't want out, you know, she don't want
- 25:20Speaker 1: to lunch a couple of time with his brother named Alan,
- 25:21Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, no, no, it ain't gonna go
- 25:23Speaker 1: down like this here. You know what I'm saying, Are
- 25:25Speaker 1: you my wife? Man? Hey, that's that's not why I
- 25:29Speaker 1: called you. I called you to my wife. That's what
- 25:32Speaker 1: I want to know. I'm telling you about this dude
- 25:35Speaker 1: named Alan. I need you to step up as the
- 25:37Speaker 1: husband and fix this. But you're telling me that my
- 25:40Speaker 1: wife is cheating on both of us, cheating on the
- 25:43Speaker 1: both of us. If she's she's cheating on the meat.
- 25:46Speaker 1: You're telling me that you're with my wife too, that
- 25:49Speaker 1: you've been messing around with my wife. That's not That's
- 25:54Speaker 1: not the part I'm trying to talk about. I'm trying
- 25:56Speaker 1: to talk about this dude named Alan. Man, That's what
- 25:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to get out. You're gonna get to Alan,
- 26:01Speaker 1: We're gonna get to Alan. You saying that my wife
- 26:04Speaker 1: playing it's some crazy yo. You know what, man, I'm
- 26:07Speaker 1: about to put my foot right up your because I
- 26:11Speaker 1: don't play those games with her. She with me, were
- 26:14Speaker 1: messing around. We're doing this to doing that. It don't
- 26:16Speaker 1: work like that. Do you understand what I'm saying? Do
- 26:19Speaker 1: I hear what you're saying? But the beef ain't with me.
- 26:21Speaker 1: The beef is with Alan. No, she messing over. She
- 26:27Speaker 1: messing over both of us with Alan. Doalk? I'm about
- 26:29Speaker 1: to call her because some right here, I'm telling Okay,
- 26:34Speaker 1: hold on, bro, I just want you to deal with Alan.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Are you about to stop right now? I'm at I'm
- 26:39Speaker 1: at the job. Yeah, but I'm about to come up
- 26:41Speaker 1: my foot in your Do you understand me? No? I
- 26:45Speaker 1: hear you. Man, Alan is the one that then blew
- 26:48Speaker 1: this thing out of proportion. Dog. She messing over me
- 26:51Speaker 1: and you with this here. There ain't no me and you.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I don't share. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah?
- 26:58Speaker 1: I hear you? Follow me? You don't hear me. I
- 27:03Speaker 1: don't know shit shitting that goes on over here? Okay,
- 27:08Speaker 1: follow me? I do. I do. I'm just saying, you
- 27:10Speaker 1: know what are you saying? Leave me right here? Leet
- 27:15Speaker 1: me right now. I'm about to come up with me.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Where you at? Right now? Where are you at? I'm
- 27:20Speaker 1: at the job where what Ronnie had I call her Ronnie?
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm at the job where Ronnie as I call her Ronnie,
- 27:26Speaker 1: I called the ronnicka Ronnie. I mean that's my little
- 27:28Speaker 1: nickname too. All right, but well, hold on, hold on,
- 27:32Speaker 1: hold on ron Ronnie Ronnie right here, she's right where
- 27:37Speaker 1: she right here, right here? You want to huh, okay,
- 27:43Speaker 1: cool man here cool? But can I tell you what
- 27:45Speaker 1: she's saying? I don't want to hear what she's saying.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I'm run the phone right now, Okay, But can I
- 27:51Speaker 1: tell you what she's telling me to tell you? She
- 27:53Speaker 1: ain't telling you to tell me a damn thing because
- 27:56Speaker 1: the only thing that you lok is my foot up
- 27:59Speaker 1: your Okay, okay, but but but Ronnie wants me to
- 28:03Speaker 1: tell you this man. Just listen to me, Terrence. She
- 28:06Speaker 1: wants me to tell you that this is nephew Tommy
- 28:10Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got franked
- 28:14Speaker 1: by your wife, Veronica. You know what I don't y'all
- 28:22Speaker 1: up here, all y'all up. I'm gonna give your old
- 28:26Speaker 1: school you are, man, No, I'm not all right. I'm
- 28:35Speaker 1: in the car and I was on my way over
- 28:37Speaker 1: there about to go to jail. Met the round with y'all. Hey,
- 28:43Speaker 1: let me ask you this man, what is the baddest
- 28:45Speaker 1: and I mean the baddest radio show in the land?
- 28:49Speaker 1: You already no show? Let me hear it. Let me
- 28:59Speaker 1: hear it from everyone? Yes's right, too far? What did
- 29:04Speaker 1: I do? But what did I do? At the end?
- 29:06Speaker 1: We know we talked in the last break about the
- 29:08Speaker 1: person that franks somebody? What did I do with the good?
- 29:12Speaker 1: All right? Man? Oh yea man, cool, I'll put a
- 29:16Speaker 1: button all right, coming up at the top of the hour.
- 29:21Speaker 1: We'll have some entertainment, entertainment and national news right after this.
- 29:24Speaker 1: You're listening to show and entertainment news the weekend. Jennifer
- 29:32Speaker 1: Hudson and Meg the Stallion are among the most important
- 29:37Speaker 1: people in the music business, and now Time magazines say
- 29:40Speaker 1: they rank with the most important people in the world.
- 29:43Speaker 1: How about that the stars have all been named to
- 29:46Speaker 1: Times one hundred Most Influential People list, alongside people like
- 29:51Speaker 1: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Anthony Fauci and Donald Trump. Oscar
- 29:56Speaker 1: nominee Teraji p Henson gives Megan a similar rate, writing
- 30:01Speaker 1: that she's the epitome of tenacity, of pulling herself up
- 30:04Speaker 1: by her bootstraps. She's deep, she's enrolled in college. She's
- 30:07Speaker 1: an entertainer. The industry might try to pigeonhold her in
- 30:11Speaker 1: this rap game, but she's got a plan that's much bigger,
- 30:15Speaker 1: all right, Megan Nasallion, Yeah, all of that. Yeah, So
- 30:24Speaker 1: congratulations to all of them. And the other entertainment news,
- 30:28Speaker 1: Carol Baskin is being sued by the family of her
- 30:32Speaker 1: missing husband. She's being sued for defamation. Her late husband
- 30:36Speaker 1: Don Lewis's daughters claimed that Carol was complicit with jokes
- 30:40Speaker 1: about Don's death on Dancing with the Stars. Don's former
- 30:44Speaker 1: assistance is Carol Baskin should have spoken out against the
- 30:47Speaker 1: jokes and that she should have put her foot down
- 30:49Speaker 1: when a Dancing with the Stars judge. I think it
- 30:51Speaker 1: was Bruno that said she didn't quite kill the pasadoble.
- 30:56Speaker 1: It was kind of sedated. I don't know if that
- 31:00Speaker 1: reality show has not worked out for her at all. No, no, no,
- 31:05Speaker 1: it has not. It is not. Don's family also accuses
- 31:10Speaker 1: Carol of going along with the joke and an interview
- 31:13Speaker 1: with Good Morning America when she promised to really kill
- 31:17Speaker 1: it next week. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe suit a
- 31:24Speaker 1: person for that, but wow, choice of words. Be careful. Yeah,
- 31:29Speaker 1: Her husband Don went missing back in nineteen ninety seven,
- 31:32Speaker 1: and many believed that Carol had something to do with it.
- 31:35Speaker 1: If you watch Tiger King, a lot of people came
- 31:38Speaker 1: away with thinking that, right, Steve, everybody did. Once again,
- 31:44Speaker 1: this reality show has not worked out for her. No,
- 31:49Speaker 1: I can't believe that. And I'm Dann's with the Stars,
- 31:52Speaker 1: which I never watched. But how she still on a
- 31:57Speaker 1: damn show? I don't even understan damn man ain't the
- 32:01Speaker 1: only person dancing is Vernon Davis. Yeah, but we're talking
- 32:06Speaker 1: about miss Garrett. When he said yeah from the Fact
- 32:10Speaker 1: to Life said you got watch it? But do you watch? Yeah?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Do you think she's on there? So because they think
- 32:19Speaker 1: more people will watch it? Is that why they're keeping
- 32:21Speaker 1: her on there? He's a draw, you think? Yeah, That's
- 32:25Speaker 1: what I'm asking Steve. Yeah, story, Do I think she's
- 32:30Speaker 1: on that cause she a draw? Have you seen huh? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 1: What about Charles Okley he got voted off? Yeah, he
- 32:40Speaker 1: got eliminated. Yeah, he's the first one to go. Yeah
- 32:43Speaker 1: he knew. I told y'all first day. We see see
- 32:50Speaker 1: his nickname is Country in Cleveland name I've been doing
- 32:55Speaker 1: Charles Oakley way Folds Hill really. Oh he played with
- 33:00Speaker 1: the Walker Boys over John Hay High School. I've been
- 33:03Speaker 1: doing oak our whole light we bound in Vegas. Everything
- 33:06Speaker 1: I told Country as soon as I saw it. Come on,
- 33:11Speaker 1: come on, get off. Who the best? Him? A master peak?
- 33:24Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. All right, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne
- 33:30Speaker 1: trip Good morning everybody. Yes, this is Anne Tripped. With
- 33:33Speaker 1: the news. Outrage heartbreak boiled over into protesting cities across
- 33:37Speaker 1: the US yesterday after news broke that none of the
- 33:40Speaker 1: three officers involved in Brianna Taylor's death would charge with
- 33:44Speaker 1: her killing more than six months after she was shot
- 33:46Speaker 1: to death with the Louisville Police no knock warrant who
- 33:50Speaker 1: came into her apartment and shot her five times. Center
- 33:53Speaker 1: mass the three officers involved, where only one of them
- 33:56Speaker 1: was indicted on any charges, in none having to do
- 33:59Speaker 1: with her. Directly from Louisville to Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York,
- 34:03Speaker 1: masses of people congregated to protest the decision. Cops in
- 34:07Speaker 1: Portland declared the protests gathered outside the Justice department a riot. Seattle.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Thirteen people were arrested. In Louisville, people were in the streets.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Of course, two police officers were shot, both with non
- 34:17Speaker 1: life threatening injuries. Ran jury indicted the only one officer,
- 34:22Speaker 1: as I said, with for the no knock warrant that evening,
- 34:26Speaker 1: and the person they were looking for apparently was had
- 34:29Speaker 1: already been brought to was in custody, and had been
- 34:33Speaker 1: nab rather at another address. The charge for the officer
- 34:36Speaker 1: was only third degree wanton endangerment. That charge only gets
- 34:40Speaker 1: you up to five years in prison. Former detective Brett
- 34:43Speaker 1: Hankerson accused of firing bullets into apartments of Miss Taylor's neighbors,
- 34:47Speaker 1: not hers, and Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron claims that
- 34:51Speaker 1: the other two cops, Jonathan Maniley and Detective Miles Cosgrove,
- 34:54Speaker 1: were justified in shooting because they were defending themselves from
- 34:59Speaker 1: Brianna Taylor's boy friend, Kenneth Walker, he shot first. According
- 35:02Speaker 1: to Kentucky law, the use of force by Mattingly and
- 35:06Speaker 1: Cosgrove was justified to protect themselves. This justification bars US
- 35:11Speaker 1: from pursuing criminal charges in Miss Brianna Taylor's death. However,
- 35:15Speaker 1: the boyfriend Ken Walker, was on nine one one he
- 35:17Speaker 1: thought someone was breaking in his gun was registered. Cameron
- 35:20Speaker 1: says he does not anticipate going after any additional charges
- 35:24Speaker 1: related to the killing of the emergency medical technician. However,
- 35:27Speaker 1: Kentucky's Democratic Governor Andy Basher says people want to see
- 35:30Speaker 1: what evidence was presented by the attorney general, said to
- 35:33Speaker 1: be a protege of Senate Republican leader Mitch mcconne. Those
- 35:36Speaker 1: that are currently feeling frustration, feeling hurt, they deserve to
- 35:41Speaker 1: know more. A trust Kentuckians. They deserve to see the facts.
- 35:47Speaker 1: The FBI is also investigating the case. The now late
- 35:50Speaker 1: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Badea Ginsburg honored at a private
- 35:53Speaker 1: ceremony yesterday in the Great Hall of the Supreme Court,
- 35:55Speaker 1: the first woman to be so honored, and sad news
- 35:58Speaker 1: legendary running back Gil Sayers has died at age seventy seven.
- 36:01Speaker 1: The Hall of Famer. Played seventh seasons with the Chicago Bears,
- 36:04Speaker 1: but the story of his friendship with teammate Brian Piccolo
- 36:07Speaker 1: depicted in the movie Brian Song, where he was portrayed
- 36:09Speaker 1: by Billy D. Williams, and I'd like all of you
- 36:14Speaker 1: to love them too. And tonight it your Nie Hall
- 36:20Speaker 1: of Famer. Gail Sayers dead at age seventy seven. Now
- 36:22Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show you're listening to show.
- 36:28Speaker 1: According to the Black Information Network, no officers were charged
- 36:32Speaker 1: with homicide for the killing of Brianna Taylor. Yesterday, Kentucky's
- 36:36Speaker 1: Attorney General Daniel Cameron said the youth of fourth by
- 36:40Speaker 1: officers was justified because they were fired upon. First, take
- 36:44Speaker 1: a listen. Criminal homicide encompasses the taking of a life
- 36:49Speaker 1: by another. While there are six possible homicide charges under
- 36:53Speaker 1: Kentucky law, these charges are not applicable to the facts
- 36:57Speaker 1: before us because our investigations show and the grand jury
- 37:00Speaker 1: agreed that Mattingly and Cosgrove were justified in the return
- 37:06Speaker 1: of deadly fire after having been fired upon by Kenneth Walker.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Let me state that again, according to Kentucky law, the
- 37:13Speaker 1: use of force by Mattingly and Cosgrove was justified to
- 37:17Speaker 1: protect themselves. This justification bars us from pursuing criminal charges
- 37:21Speaker 1: in Miss Brianna Taylor's death. M I don't believe that's something,
- 37:28Speaker 1: don't I don't. I don't believe it, but I expect it. Yeah,
- 37:33Speaker 1: I expect. Yeah, yeah, it's not surprising. It really. Let
- 37:38Speaker 1: me just put it to you very simply. This is
- 37:41Speaker 1: just me talking very simply. Put if this were a
- 37:49Speaker 1: white woman and this police officer was a black police
- 37:56Speaker 1: officer and this bullet of his killed this white woman,
- 38:07Speaker 1: this black officer would have to go to prison and
- 38:14Speaker 1: at least face charges period, if it were just simply
- 38:19Speaker 1: reverse that way you and you can't even show me
- 38:24Speaker 1: the lady in Minnesota that was killed by the black
- 38:27Speaker 1: police officer. He in jail right now. And guess what
- 38:34Speaker 1: he's supposed to be. He's supposed to be. You. You
- 38:41Speaker 1: just take black people's lives and there's no consequence or
- 38:46Speaker 1: repercussions to it. Now, this law that he has. And
- 38:51Speaker 1: let me say this to everybody in the Black Ladder's
- 38:54Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement, these laws are on the books
- 38:59Speaker 1: because congresman, senators, legislators put them there. They are able
- 39:06Speaker 1: to put them there because they are elected there. They
- 39:11Speaker 1: are elected there because people who think like them vote
- 39:17Speaker 1: for them. If you want to change the laws in Kentucky,
- 39:23Speaker 1: the laws in DC, the laws anywhere you have to vote,
- 39:30Speaker 1: Black lives matter most when you show them that black
- 39:34Speaker 1: lives votes matter and count, and they count. I'm telling y'all, man,
- 39:39Speaker 1: we can put a stop to this and we can
- 39:41Speaker 1: start this November. That's true. Steve. Coming up, we'll have
- 39:46Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 39:49Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Okay, so Steve. Last night there
- 39:55Speaker 1: were protests in Louisville, Kentucky, and all over the country
- 39:58Speaker 1: really after officers were directly charged in Brianna Taylor's death.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Former police officer Brett Hankinson was indicted with a wanton
- 40:09Speaker 1: endangerment charge. Take a listen to Reverend Al Sharpton's opinion
- 40:13Speaker 1: of the grand jury's findings. The value of her life
- 40:17Speaker 1: is not at all addressed in these charges. You could
- 40:21Speaker 1: get endangerment if you shot in the air at nothing.
- 40:25Speaker 1: You took a woman's life, a woman who was in
- 40:30Speaker 1: no way should have even been in that situation because
- 40:34Speaker 1: the person you were pursuing was not there. She committed
- 40:37Speaker 1: no crime, shall only act that night when she went
- 40:40Speaker 1: to bed that night, and she is dead. The indictment
- 40:43Speaker 1: does not address the life. When we say black lives matter.
- 40:47Speaker 1: This indictment says it does not matter. Well said, Well said,
- 40:56Speaker 1: you know, you cannot kill a white person like this
- 41:01Speaker 1: and get away with it. You can't. Yeah. And the
- 41:08Speaker 1: black officers if that was four black Yeah. And then
- 41:14Speaker 1: the Attorney General, Daniel Cameron of Louisville kept saying, you know,
- 41:19Speaker 1: I want this is about justice, This is about justice.
- 41:22Speaker 1: But there where's the justice for Brianna Taylor? Where like
- 41:27Speaker 1: the Rev said, he spoke at the Republican National Yes
- 41:33Speaker 1: he did, he praised Trump. Yes, he is a puppeteer
- 41:38Speaker 1: in the system, the Republican system, that conservative right wing
- 41:47Speaker 1: who is not all bad people, but you got some
- 41:53Speaker 1: of them that No matter what I'm telling you, man,
- 41:57Speaker 1: Donald Trump keeps talking about blue lives matter. They already
- 42:03Speaker 1: protect blue lives with qualified immunity, They already protect them
- 42:12Speaker 1: that they're well protected. But he Donald Trump won't mention
- 42:17Speaker 1: black lives matter because your life don't matter to him.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I don't care what herschel walkers say. I don't care
- 42:23Speaker 1: what the Attorney general say. I don't care what Reverend
- 42:29Speaker 1: Stokes up in Cleveland say. Donald Trump don't care nothing
- 42:34Speaker 1: about you, man, not a single thing, does nothing look
- 42:40Speaker 1: at his life. This guy. Listen to me, man, this
- 42:43Speaker 1: guy don't have one black friend and no photos of

- 51:38Speaker 1: that's an emergency. I learn another emergency number, learning nine

- 54:52Speaker 1: Buggle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 54:54Speaker 1: you here. It is subject I cut my mama off
- 55:00Speaker 1: for my husband. Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband and I
- 55:04Speaker 1: have been together seven years, and he's always treated me
- 55:07Speaker 1: as a queen, and he truly values me and our marriage.
- 55:12Speaker 1: He accepted my daughter as his own from the beginning,
- 55:14Speaker 1: when she was an infant. I am twenty nine, and
- 55:18Speaker 1: my mom was the best single mother she could possibly be,
- 55:21Speaker 1: and I got a lot of my independence and determination
- 55:23Speaker 1: to succeed from her. I too, was a single mom
- 55:27Speaker 1: before I met the man of my dreams, and when
- 55:29Speaker 1: I met him, it's as if my mother was done
- 55:31Speaker 1: with me and figured he could help take care of
- 55:34Speaker 1: me and my child. My boyfriend, who is now my husband,
- 55:38Speaker 1: stepped in and helped me because he's a great man.
- 55:41Speaker 1: After two years of dating, he proposed and we bought
- 55:44Speaker 1: a house. My only problem is that my mother hasn't
- 55:48Speaker 1: liked my husband since day one. She calls him ugly, controlling,
- 55:52Speaker 1: and ignorant. And she started a terrible rumor that he
- 55:56Speaker 1: might be beating on me. She never speaks to him,
- 55:59Speaker 1: but he is always respectful. She ruined our engagement party
- 56:04Speaker 1: and my whole wedding weekend by trying to be the
- 56:07Speaker 1: center of attention and spreading rumors about him. My husband
- 56:11Speaker 1: comes from a good, loving and healthy family background, so
- 56:14Speaker 1: he refused to keep taking this treatment from my mother.
- 56:17Speaker 1: We prayed about it, and he tried talking to her,
- 56:20Speaker 1: but she wouldn't stop being evil, so I cut her off.
- 56:24Speaker 1: When I cut her off, she didn't even try to
- 56:27Speaker 1: reach out to me, not even once. I've had two
- 56:30Speaker 1: more babies that she's never met. I miss her presence.
- 56:34Speaker 1: My husband says to reach out to her, but I
- 56:37Speaker 1: don't want to welcome the drama back into our lives.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Do you think it's possible that she's changed? Should I
- 56:43Speaker 1: reach out to her? Well, I'll just say this. I
- 56:46Speaker 1: mean anything in life is possible, yes, anything, But in
- 56:50Speaker 1: this situation, I don't think your mom has changed. Why
- 56:53Speaker 1: don't I think she's changed because she hasn't tried to
- 56:56Speaker 1: reach out to you, not at all, and maybe she
- 57:00Speaker 1: still doesn't care for your husband, But for her not
- 57:04Speaker 1: to try to see her grandkids. I mean, that is
- 57:07Speaker 1: not cool. I'm sorry to say that, but say this,
- 57:10Speaker 1: but that's just crazy right there. I think it's really
- 57:15Speaker 1: sad all the way around. Sorry that you had to
- 57:18Speaker 1: cut your mother off because she hate your husband, and
- 57:21Speaker 1: you know. I mean, it's just awful though, that your
- 57:24Speaker 1: mother is acting the age of your grandchildren that she's
- 57:27Speaker 1: never even met. I say, shame on her. I completely
- 57:31Speaker 1: understand not wanting to invite this drama back into your life.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Who would want that? But you gotta try. You gotta
- 57:38Speaker 1: try to bring the family back together. I mean, that's
- 57:41Speaker 1: what I'm gonna say to you. You gotta try. I'm
- 57:44Speaker 1: agreeing with your husband in this instance because I just
- 57:46Speaker 1: can't imagine being cut off from my mom if she
- 57:48Speaker 1: were still alive. Make it light when you call her,
- 57:52Speaker 1: Just make it light. Tell her you'd love her, Tell
- 57:54Speaker 1: her you miss her, and you would love for her
- 57:55Speaker 1: to meet her beautiful new grandchildren. Just see how that goes.
- 57:59Speaker 1: You'll definitely be able to tell something when she picks
- 58:02Speaker 1: up the phone and says hello, You'll be at hello.
- 58:05Speaker 1: You know, you'll be able to tell. You'll be able
- 58:07Speaker 1: to gauge where she is Hopefully, if you reach out
- 58:10Speaker 1: to her, if she doesn't hang up in your face,
- 58:14Speaker 1: you know, maybe you guys can start from there and rebuild. Steve,
- 58:19Speaker 1: I'm being positive. Well, this woman who's twenty nine, her
- 58:26Speaker 1: mother was also a single mother. She's living her life,
- 58:30Speaker 1: but she was. She's also a single mother at twenty
- 58:35Speaker 1: nine until she met the man of her dreams. And
- 58:44Speaker 1: as soon as you did that, you said in the letter,
- 58:47Speaker 1: it was if my mother was done with me and
- 58:51Speaker 1: figured he could take care of me and my child.
- 58:54Speaker 1: What means your mother was helping out to a degree,
- 58:57Speaker 1: you know, like all mothers do. Help tell you stuff
- 59:00Speaker 1: about being a mom, help raising him. I guess you
- 59:02Speaker 1: didn't say that, but I'm assuming y'all must have had
- 59:05Speaker 1: a pretty good relationship. But now she all of a
- 59:08Speaker 1: sudden trip and he said figured that he could take
- 59:12Speaker 1: care of me and your child. Now, your boyfriend, who
- 59:15Speaker 1: is now your husband, stepped in, stepped up, helped me
- 59:20Speaker 1: because he's a great guy. Y'all dated for two years,
- 59:24Speaker 1: he proposed, and y'alldn bought a house. Okay, Jack Pott.
- 59:31Speaker 1: The only problem is my mother hasn't liked my husband
- 59:34Speaker 1: since day one. She calls him ugly, controlling and ignorant. Wow,
- 59:43Speaker 1: I've been called two of him. A life, ignant for
- 59:51Speaker 1: show and ugly. I have heard that on several occasions,
- 59:57Speaker 1: So I understand that. You know, I've never been controlling.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: But and then she started a rumor that he was
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: beating on you. What is wrong with your mama? Yes? Yeah?
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Is your mother jealous? Because after you met him, she
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: felt like, you know, you had moved on. Maybe she
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: was jealous that she had never found a man of
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: her dreams. You never mentioned that part of a letter,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: and maybe she couldn't stand the fact that you had.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: She never speaks to him, and he's always respectful. Hold on, Steve, Oh,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: she never got very man. Yes, all right, Hang on, Steve.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I cut my mama off for my husband. We'll get
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening show, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject, I cut my mama
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: off for my husband. Single mother just like her mother
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: was raised her child who mother was a good mother
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: that had a great relationship. You meet the man of
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: your dreams. Your mama of a sudden cutting mom. She
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: don't like him. You know, she don't speak to him.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Y'all married, you got a house, that had a baby.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: But even though she don't speak to him, he's always respectful.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Then your mama came to you when ruined the whole
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: wad engagement party, trying to be the cent of attention
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: and then spreading rumors about him. What is wrong with
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: your mama? I keep saying, this man, what is wrong
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: with your damn mama? Then your husband comes from a
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: good love and in healthy family background, so he refused
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: to keep taking this treatment from my mother. We prayed
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: about it. He tried talking to him, but she won't
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: stop being evil. Oh that's it, your mama evil. Your
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: mama just didn't start being evil. Your mama been evil.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: You just found out how evil she could be because
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: you found somebody who loves so you cut her off.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: When I cut her off, she didn't even try to
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: reach out to me, not even once. I've had two
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: more babies that she's never met. I miss her presence.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: My husband says he's still a good dude. Reach out
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: to her, But I don't want to welcome the drama
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: back into our lives. Do you think it's possible that
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: she's changed? Should I reach out to her? I think
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: she could have changed, but I don't know. But I
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: think you definitely should reach out to her. I think
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: you and you need to reach out and have her
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: this conversation. Mama. I just want you to know I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: miss you just start that, and I miss our relationship.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: I know you don't approve of my husband, and he's
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: really really a great guy, and we got a great family,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: and I'd like to beat your grandchildren well Satan bye. See.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: But the reason you have to reach out to her
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: is because sometimes you have to be bigger than the
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: person who's supposed to be bigger. You just have to
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: be bigger than the person that's supposed to be bigger.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: She's your mother, but let me tell you something, just
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: because you're a mother don't mean you always get it right. True.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: She may be your mother, but she's still a human being,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: and she made a mistake and for whatever the reason is,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: whatever this jealousy is she has towards you and your husband,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: or just you having a family and finding the love
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: of your dreams. Maybe she never found a man of
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: her dreams because you haven't mentioned stepfather anything like that.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: And you said she was a single mother. Maybe she
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: never found anybody and she just jealous. Maybe she wanted
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: to just keep you on the door to all to
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: herself and thought, I thought you was going to live
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: the same life she lived, But you didn't. You found
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: somebody that loved you, took in your door. Then major
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: daughter feel like he was his own and he got
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: a whole family, Y'aller had two more babies, and you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: wanted to meet your grandmother. He is a great guy.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: He even said you should reach out to her because
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: he don't want to see you hurt. So reach out
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: to him. Aska, Can you meet and talk? Take the babies,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: let him meet him. You know, sometimes it takes stuff
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: to wake people up. She ain't getting younger, she's getting older.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Sometimes people need to be shaken. Now, Shirley a slight
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: reenacting you're the young lady, her mama. I knew it
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: that her mama sister parline. It's one of old Dale's
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: old girlfriend. Sound just like Old Dale though. Here we go,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: ring ring ring, Hello, Hi mom mom. Well well it's
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: mama Mom is for whites. Mama what can I do
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: for you? Well, first of all, hello, I missed you.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: I miss hearing your voice. Well, I miss you was
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: too sweet? Uh who is this? Mom? This is your
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: your daughter, your baby girl. You don't recognize my boy
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: I have but cha? Well yes, mom, oh okay, I
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: forgot you know you cut me off for the ugly
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: man you're married. Mom, I didn't really cut you off.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: It was I thought you had cut me off the
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: way you acted at the engagement party and then our
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: wedding and stuff. I was trying to save you, sweetie,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: but you didn't want to be saved. So I live. Well. Well, Mom,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: I'm still with him. He still treats me like a queen.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: And guess what, mom Um, you have two more grandkids.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: You know I already had one. I have two more
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: babies you, yes, ma'am, and you've never even met them.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: You know what? Well, why yeah, I'm scared. It looked
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: like you absolutely Post your comments on Today Strawberry Letter
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: and Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Please check
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast under Man two coming up
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: at forty six minutes after the hour. Our girl from
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: the Talk to One and Only Cheryl Underwood right after
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: this you're listening to show, come on, Steven introduced that
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: girl from the Top together for Sirlod. Thank you, Steve
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Harvey and everybody listening to the Steve Harvey Morning. Shall
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: you know Usually I'm really more upbeat type. I'm more excited,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: you know, um what I am now and I want
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: everybody to become focused. So you know, we all saw
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: the decision of the Brianna Taylor case. First of all,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: you one cop that you fired charged with one ton endangerment,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: something that's not even for people that's listening in California.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: It's not even on the books here. We don't even
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: had nothing like that. It's below manslaughter, it's below murder
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: and has nothing to do with the killing, the murder,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: the assassination of Brianna Taylor. It has more to do
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: with the erratic shooting and makes it, in my opinion,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: a property issue because you care more about the walls
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: and the erratic shooting than you do about justice. And
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: this is why everybody's saying, well, yeah, we know, we
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: gotta vote, We know we gotta vote. This is why
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: we're telling you it is more important. Now this is
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: an overall plan. Attorney General Daniel Cameron is close with
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: who Mitch McConnell, he's hit No, Mitch McConnell, he's his
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: protogy right so to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. And
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: even though here, brother, right here, brother, you know what
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: I'm saying. If you look at it like this, I
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: feel he hid behind the grand jury so that they
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: you could say, that's what they would bringer. That's all
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: we can with. No, you're supposed to be fighting for
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: justice and for every American who is not black. If
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: you don't understand that this is a systematic rigging up
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: the judicial system. They have put judges in place, and
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: attorney generals and everybody in place, and they're young, so
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: they will be affecting your quality of life for the
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: next thirty forty years. And so that's fast forward this
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: up to the Supreme Court. So you're about to put
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: somebody in place. Nobody wants to hav an abortion. I
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: don't care what you think. There's no woman out there
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: that relish is having to make that decision. But you're
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: about to load the court up. And you're gonna load
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: the court up so that when Trump says, I will
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: not concede, and we're gonna toss it to the Supreme
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Court that I set up. This is why people are angry,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: this is why people are protesting. We have had enough
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: of this. If you are not registered to vote, you
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: are a part of the problem. If you are not
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: willing to vote, if you're not willing to learn the issues,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: you are part of the problem. Don't win no T shirt,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: talk about Brianna Taylor's name if you're not gonna fight
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: for freedom, justice and equality, because today we're mad as Hale.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: We're not gonna take it anymore. And we'll see you
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: at the ballot box. Thank you. We'll be back with
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and Carla's Reality
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Update right after this. You're listening, all right, come on,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: tell me let's go. Well, it's that time. She is here.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Color Farrell with what reality update? All right, thank you, nephew. Okay,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: So here we go, you guys on the Real Housewives
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: of Platona Mac pay attention, Steve. Okay, so remember when
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I told you guys that Candice told Ashley about her
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: husband Michael's cheating rumors, and then she showed Ashley text
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: messages from her friends at the strip club. Remember I
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: told you about, Well, Ashley met her husband at a
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: restaurant to talk about his lady cheating situation because she
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: didn't want to have this discussion at home in front
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: of their infant baby, Like the baby don't know, the
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: baby don't need to be seeing this. The fact, we
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: know what they're talking back, right right. So anyway, at
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: the restaurant, they were having this conversation Ashley and Michael,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: and that's when she admitted that they are not a
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: traditional couple. Take a listen. There's a girl who liked me,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: and I liked the girl, and we would do whatever together.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: So that's kind of the way that you know, we
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: have operated in the past. Yeah, but I've always always
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: done it with you, right, And what if I tell
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you I don't want to do that anymore ever again?
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: But you and I have to be I'm telling you now, now,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: you have to tell me now, and this this could
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: be the time for you too, for us to peacefully
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: aches it. No, it's too much to stake. I wouldn't
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and a little We're not going to stay together just
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: for dinner. If I find out anything else, it will
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: it will be catastrophic for our relationship? Can we cut now? Face?
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: So you heard him say, can we cut now? He
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: said this there at the restaurant because he felt like
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: they had revealed enough for the show for that particular scene,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: and so the producer, y'all kid, a producer came out.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: What do you say, Junior? No? Hell now? But that
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: was a lot though. So I'm not understanding this girl
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: likes girls. She's saying that she fooled around with a
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: girl in their marriage. He knew about it, that he
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: participated in all of this. So she's saying he participated.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: He participated, Carl, When you say participated, was he there?
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: That's what it sounds like. He knew about it. He
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: was involved, that he was in the room, He was
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: in the room when it happened. Could have been in
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: the room and the bay. Come on, now, we're grown.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Come on now, I want to know I didn't see it? Yeah?
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: What yes? What he said at the restaurant. So you know,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: she's saying she's not gonna do that anymore. She doesn't
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: want him to do anything anymore. They are committed to
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: each other, that's what she wants. And if it happens again,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: she's done, and he's saying, you know, it was too
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: much at stake the baby and all. Listen. She says
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: she's not staying with him just because they have a
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: three month old. But that's why they had to cut me.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: That's why they had to cut because he knows. Let
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: me move on the make it hull You say, you
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: don't think. I don't think that information out in the
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: public ain't gonna make it. Yeah, and this has happened before.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: So anyway, moving on, the girls went to Giselle. She
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: had this party, this awards celebration. She won an award
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: for this book that she wrote that's loosely based on
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: her life. It's a fiction book. Anyway, at the party,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Monique and Kansas they have been beefing the entire season.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: They exchange words, beefing went on and on the last
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: scene of the show, all you here is Karen screaming Monique,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: let her go, not let her go? Yeah, so I
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: will be watching next week to see what happens. And
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: on a reality competition show, Dancing with the Stars, NBA
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: legend Charles Oakley Steve your boy Country. He knew that
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: when he signed up. Yeah, yeah, that's pretty bad. Yeah.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: So that's reality update. Follow me at Lipspark, Carl on
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: the Graham and Twitter, which you got schirltte. All right,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: thank you, Carl. Coming up more of today's trending stories
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: and maybe some sports talk, a little sports information from
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Junior at twenty minutes after the hour, right after this,

- 1:16:47Speaker 1: and we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: and some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this You're Listening show. According
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: to the Black Information Network Work, no officers were charged
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: with homicide for the killing of Brianna Taylor. Yesterday, Kentucky's
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Attorney General Daniel Cameron said the youth of force by
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: officers was justified because they were fired upon first take
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: a listen. Criminal homicide encompasses the taking of a life
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: by another. While there are six possible homicide charges. Under
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Kentucky law, these charges are not applicable to the facts
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: before us because our investigations showed and the grand jury
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: agreed that Mattingly and Cosgrove were justified in the return
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: of deadly fire after having been fired upon by Kenneth Walker.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Let me state that again, according to Kentucky law, the
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: use of force by Mattingly and Cosgrove was justified to
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: protect themselves. This justification bars us from pursuing criminal charges
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: in Miss Brianna Taylor's death. I don't believe that's something.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I don't believe it, but I expect it. Yeah, I expect. Yeah,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: it's not really Let me let me just put it
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: to you very simply. This is just me talking very simply.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Put if this were a white woman and this police
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: officer was a black police officer, and this bullet of
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: he is killed this white woman, this black officer would
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: have to go to prison and at least face charges period.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: If it were just simply reverse that way you and
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: you can't even show me the lady in Minnesota that
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: was killed by the black police officer. He in jail
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: right now, and guess what he supposed to be. He's
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: supposed to be you. You just take black people's lives
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: and there's no consequence or repercussions to it. Now, this
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: law that he has, and let me say this to
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: everybody in the Black letters Black Lives Matter movement, these
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: laws are on the books because Congressmen, senators, legislators put
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: them there. They are able to put them there because
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: they are elected there. They are elected there because people
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: who think like them vote for them. If you want
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: to change the laws in Kentucky, the laws in DC,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the laws anywhere you have to vote, black lives matter
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: most when you show them that black lives votes matter
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: and count and they count. I'm telling y'all, man, we
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: can put a stop to this and we can start
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: this November. Coming up, it's our last break of the day,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: last break of to day, and we'll have some closing
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey coming up
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after right after this, you're listening
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: to Morning Show. All right, here we are our last
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: break of the day, Steve. Forty days now, forty days
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: left until the November third election. Yeah yeah, forty days, Okay, Yeah,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: it's closing in. We we gotta, we gotta turn this
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: thing around. Go to vote dot org dot com to
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: get registered. If you not all are already registered, please
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: go there. It only takes a couple of minutes. Like
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: we say, you can get all your information on what
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: you need to do early voting in your state. Vote
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: dot org forty not too late. It's not too late
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: to get registered. Let's do this. Don't believe what they're
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: telling you. You don't wait till the last minute, though, Yeah,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: I don't. I don't want anybody to not understand what's
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: really going on here. Yesterday was another horrible day for justice.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: It was another horrible day about racism, another horrible day
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: about police brutality. It was a horrible day for police
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: officers to be shot in Louisville. It was a horrible
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: day for our president not to open his mouth about
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: it again. It was a horrible day for an attorney
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: general to sit up there and let happen what happened
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: with a grand jury that is des to go in
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: the direction of the prosecution. It was a horrible day.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: But can I tell you something. We can do something
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: about this. You know, we don't have to sit here
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: and just take it. I love the protest. I love
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the I love the peaceful protests. I love the amount
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: of non African Americans that are joining in with the protests.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I understand the anger part behind the protests, I got it.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I love that the NBA is involved at the level
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: they are. I love that the w NBA is involved,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: that soccer teams are involved, that Major League Baseball is
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: speaking up, that the NFL is speaking up. I'm happy
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: about all of that. But can I tell you on something.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: It ain't gonne me Jack, if we don't get to
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: these polls and vote. If you are tired of being ignored,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: you have to vote. If you're tired of not being recognized,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: you have to vote. If you're tired of what they
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: just keep doing to us and ain't nobody paying the
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: price now, all no consequences to us, our lives don't matter,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you have to vote. If you expect black lives to matter,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: you have to vote. If you are sick and tired
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: of being sick and tired, you have to vote. There
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: is no reason, no viable reason for a person to
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: watch what has happened in this country over four years
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: and then want to sit by and do nothing about it.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: I'm tired, man, you know when I go online to
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: try to get the pulse, so when I know what
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about when I come on the radio. I'm tired.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I'm tired of people finding ways to talk about me,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: to talk about this morning show. And what we're trying
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: to do is get you to vote, so you can
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: quit talking about what's happening in the conditions in this
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: country and do something about what the conditions in this
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: country are. This is sad what's going on. Man. We
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: are appearing to become more and more morally corrupt, and
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I just don't want to believe that. I don't want
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: to believe that we live in a country who can
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: watch a man as the leader of this country do
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: so many file things to not unify, but to divide
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: and still want to find a way to reelect him.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: That's a little bit sickening, y'all. That's really a little
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: bit sickening. But you know what's messaging for us is
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: real clear, I don't care nothing about you. Black lives
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: don't really matter. And the only way to get to
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: have him to get your undivided attention, the only way
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: to get his undivided attention got to vote. They'll all
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: listen to us. Once we make our vote count. We
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: can't keep talking about black lives matter if we're not
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: gonna make them see how much they really do matter.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: And there's no better way available to you right now,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: between now and November than the power to vote. You
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: can change the way they view us, treat us, elect us,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: and rule against us by getting people in there who
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: are for us. And well, at least I'm not saying
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: we want to get away with any crimes. That ain't
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. I'm talking about people who will
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: get in there and go, you know what, this law
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: is unjust and it allows you to continue to support
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: and prop up systemic race sism, and this has to stop.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: You gotta vote, man, I'm sorry, we do. Anybody got
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: something to say something? I got about a minute left.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: I mean, you've said it all everything, Yeah, been saying it. Yeah,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: it is heartbreaking, it's so heartbreaking. It just really is
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: for her not to get justice almost yeah, yeah almost, yeah,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: one hundred and ninety something days and still we waited
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: for no justice, no justice, no justice. We should have
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: knew that just that many days before they could. Well,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: we're not surprised, really, in our heart of hearts, but
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: you know you don't want to lose hope. Ever, and
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: the officer knew what his charge was gonna be in
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: a hundred nice baby, you know they had to tell
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: him we just got this y slap on the wrist. Yeah,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: well we can do is go vote at this point,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: and we gotta do that. Steve said it all. He's
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: our leader. Yes, behind let's get to the pole show.
