- 2:24Speaker 1: If you're trying to be successful, this message is for you.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Let me help you understand something real clear. You ain't
- 2:31Speaker 1: gonna make it the way you want to, and you're
- 2:35Speaker 1: not going to make it to the heights that's fully
- 2:39Speaker 1: out there and available for you without God. And I'm
- 2:42Speaker 1: just keep it real, simpling clean for you today. You're
- 2:45Speaker 1: not going to make it the way you want to,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and you're not going to get to the heights that's
- 2:52Speaker 1: available to you without God. You have to get this
- 2:57Speaker 1: through your head. You can try if you want to,
- 3:00Speaker 1: because I did. I'm here to tell you I am
- 3:03Speaker 1: talking purely from experience. Here you can try it without God,
- 3:08Speaker 1: and you can see how far you can get when
- 3:11Speaker 1: you have some measures of success. Of course you will.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Will it feel like days like you might make it?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Of course you will. But let me ask you a question, though.
- 3:20Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days when you feel
- 3:22Speaker 1: like you ain't gonna make it. When you're gonna do
- 3:24Speaker 1: about them days where it feel like there are no
- 3:27Speaker 1: answers to your questions. What you're gonna do about them days?
- 3:29Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days when everybody laughing
- 3:32Speaker 1: that you can turn against you. What you're gonna do
- 3:34Speaker 1: about them, days when you just don't see no way
- 3:37Speaker 1: through it? What you're gonna do about them days? I
- 3:40Speaker 1: got the sunshine, you know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends.
- 3:43Speaker 1: When it's Sunday outside, You want some friends, hit the lotto,
- 3:47Speaker 1: you want to get rid of them friends, go ask
- 3:48Speaker 1: for some help. Man. I'm talking about man. They scattered
- 3:51Speaker 1: like roaches when lights come on. I'm trying to tell you. So,
- 3:54Speaker 1: now here we go again, and you can do this
- 3:57Speaker 1: without God now, because I've done it and you can
- 4:00Speaker 1: have yourself some measure success. Let me even hip you
- 4:03Speaker 1: to a little bit closer, though, Let me tell you
- 4:05Speaker 1: why you are doing it without God and having some
- 4:08Speaker 1: measure of success. Can I tell you why? Because of
- 4:11Speaker 1: God's grace and mercy to us, because of his grace
- 4:15Speaker 1: and mercy trying to keep us in spite of ourself,
- 4:19Speaker 1: for the real mission that He really got for us.
- 4:22Speaker 1: See that's the truth of the matter now, now what
- 4:24Speaker 1: we're talking about nasty See. So yeah, yeah, you can
- 4:27Speaker 1: do it without God, and you can have some measure
- 4:29Speaker 1: success without God. And yeah, you know, you know, yeah
- 4:32Speaker 1: you got your little degree and everything. Yeah you completed
- 4:34Speaker 1: the program, got all that, YadA, YadA YadA. But don't
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know something. It's because of God's grace and mercy
- 4:41Speaker 1: that he helps us anyway when even when we ain't
- 4:44Speaker 1: asking for help, when he bails us out anyway, when
- 4:47Speaker 1: we don't even ask him to be bailed out. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: know why, because He loves us that much that he
- 4:51Speaker 1: would allow us to exist until we get our mind
- 4:54Speaker 1: together where he could take us away, really trying to
- 4:56Speaker 1: take us. Let's get this real straight and clear to day.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You can do this without God if you want to,
- 5:03Speaker 1: But I am telling you to get to where you
- 5:06Speaker 1: really want to be and to be all that God
- 5:09Speaker 1: has for you. You got to have God. There's no
- 5:13Speaker 1: ifs ands buts about it. And let me tell you
- 5:15Speaker 1: this here. I don't really care what nobody then told you.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? I don't care what they say.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Don't get this thing twisted. They got these people out
- 5:27Speaker 1: here talking about their luminatis and all this here. Man,
- 5:30Speaker 1: don't listen to me. Don't get caught in this mess.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Don't get caught in no foolishness. You were created by God.
- 5:38Speaker 1: God created you, ain't your soul. We were all created
- 5:42Speaker 1: in His image, all of us. Don't get to talk
- 5:45Speaker 1: about you. Find to cut a deal with it with
- 5:47Speaker 1: the devil in all you ain't cutting no deal with nobody. Man.
- 5:49Speaker 1: The devil don't do deals. He one sided. I'm taking
- 5:53Speaker 1: you to hell. You going to hell. You're burning here,
- 5:56Speaker 1: that's his deal. I want your soul. I want you
- 5:59Speaker 1: to lose hole. I want you to take your life.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I want you to take some other people's lives. I
- 6:04Speaker 1: want you to feel hopeless. I want you to realize
- 6:06Speaker 1: that there ain't no God. That's his whole deal. His
- 6:09Speaker 1: whole deal is negative. Oh he can talk you into
- 6:12Speaker 1: dealing drugs if you want to. But let me tell
- 6:14Speaker 1: you something about this. I watch these shows all the time,
- 6:16Speaker 1: drug inking. All this here, cocaine mafia, everybody own. Now
- 6:22Speaker 1: go to jail or get killed. Our prisoners has filled
- 6:25Speaker 1: the day with our young boys because they thought they
- 6:27Speaker 1: could outslick the system. They thought they had a way.
- 6:30Speaker 1: They thought. They said to them, been here and they failed.
- 6:33Speaker 1: For the old cliche, man, I gotta do what I
- 6:35Speaker 1: gotta do, I gotta get this money. Well, the only
- 6:37Speaker 1: reason you gotta do what you gotta do is because,
- 6:39Speaker 1: like I say all the time, you didn't do what
- 6:41Speaker 1: you were supposed to do. It is but because of
- 6:43Speaker 1: His grace and mercy that we exist. And God has
- 6:47Speaker 1: just taken care of you, looking out for you. Got
- 6:50Speaker 1: some angels encamped around you until you get your mind
- 6:53Speaker 1: right so he can get you where you're going. But
- 6:55Speaker 1: now I want you to understand something. There's a cause
- 6:57Speaker 1: and a consequence and a penalty for everything we do.
- 7:00Speaker 1: This outside the will of God. That's for all of us.
- 7:04Speaker 1: All of us have consequences, penalties and everything that we
- 7:08Speaker 1: got to deal with. Outside of the will of God.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Understand that clearly, don't get this thing twisted sideways. You
- 7:17Speaker 1: understand me. You know. I heard a young man tell
- 7:20Speaker 1: me one day. He said, uh, Steve, you know, man,
- 7:22Speaker 1: I just don't see how God looking out for me,
- 7:24Speaker 1: if he would allow all these things to happen to me.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I'm having such a hard time in my life. I
- 7:29Speaker 1: really don't see how there's a God looking out for me.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I lived the young man. I said, the man, it's
- 7:35Speaker 1: just something. Man, you're still breathing. He said, yeah, I'm
- 7:38Speaker 1: standing here talking to you. I said, you're still free.
- 7:41Speaker 1: He said, what you mean. I said, you ain't locked
- 7:42Speaker 1: up on you said no, I'm standing here talking to you.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I said, where you get them clothes from? I bought him?
- 7:47Speaker 1: I said where you bought him with what I bought
- 7:49Speaker 1: him with? Money? So where you get the money from? You?
- 7:52Speaker 1: So I got a job, mister, huh, I got a job.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I said, well, well where you live though, he's O
- 7:58Speaker 1: got apartment? I said, well where you get to it's
- 8:01Speaker 1: to Harve. I'm working. I got an apartment. I got
- 8:03Speaker 1: a job. I was okay, okay, So now this this
- 8:07Speaker 1: God ain't looking out for you? Thinkin finish telling me
- 8:09Speaker 1: what you're telling me. Well, see, man, I'm having it
- 8:12Speaker 1: real hard right now. I said, hey, hey, man, you
- 8:15Speaker 1: are you hungry? You have you had lunch yet? He
- 8:18Speaker 1: said yeah, yeah, yeah, y'all already had lunch yet. I said, okay, okay,
- 8:22Speaker 1: so gone finish. Tell me about this how God ain't
- 8:24Speaker 1: looking out for you? He said, Oh? And you know, man,
- 8:27Speaker 1: every every time I try to do something, it seemed
- 8:30Speaker 1: like it go wrong for me. I said, but let
- 8:32Speaker 1: me the man something. Man, I say, every time I
- 8:34Speaker 1: go wrong for y'all say, somehow you survive it? He said, yeah, yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I survive it some kind of way, but it's still
- 8:40Speaker 1: be all messed up for me. I say, but but
- 8:42Speaker 1: you still got through it though, he said yeah. I said, okay, man,
- 8:45Speaker 1: gone finish telling me how how God ain't looking out
- 8:47Speaker 1: for you? And he stopped. He said him it is Harve.
- 8:50Speaker 1: He said, how come every time I tell you something
- 8:52Speaker 1: that's going wrong, you keep telling me God looking out
- 8:54Speaker 1: for me? I said, because you're still here, man, I said, See,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you don't understand it. I said. You seem to think
- 9:00Speaker 1: that you're supposed to just supposed to skate through life.
- 9:02Speaker 1: That it's all supposed to go how you want it,
- 9:05Speaker 1: any kind of way. I said, Man, Jesus the test
- 9:07Speaker 1: of your faith, I say, God looking out for you
- 9:09Speaker 1: the whole time. I say, every time you tell me
- 9:11Speaker 1: something going wrong, you seem to turn around and tell
- 9:14Speaker 1: me how you survived it. You keep telling me what
- 9:16Speaker 1: ain't going right, but you keep telling me all these
- 9:18Speaker 1: things you have. I said, man, so what you gotta
- 9:20Speaker 1: do is you gotta stop looking at what you ain't got,
- 9:23Speaker 1: column and start focusing on what you do have. Column.
- 9:26Speaker 1: But if you ain't happy with nothing heating done for you,
- 9:28Speaker 1: you wanted to keep piling stuff on. I said, you
- 9:30Speaker 1: fail in the test, young man. The test is are
- 9:34Speaker 1: you grateful for where you are right now? So I
- 9:36Speaker 1: could give you more so we could move forward. He said, oh, man,
- 9:39Speaker 1: I never even looked at like that. I said, well,
- 9:41Speaker 1: why don't you take your blessed cell phone somewhere and
- 9:43Speaker 1: sit down? He said, I think I'm going over here
- 9:45Speaker 1: and let you finish talking. I said, thank you. So
- 9:48Speaker 1: sometimes you just got to look at what you do got, folks,
- 9:50Speaker 1: that's all it is. Okay, you can't make it without God, y'all.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You got me today all right. Let's be clear, let's go.

- 15:02Speaker 1: Love Officer. Tito online listener says, I am a thirty
- 15:06Speaker 1: seven year old single man and I have an admirer
- 15:09Speaker 1: at church. She's my pastor's older sister, so she has
- 15:14Speaker 1: to be over sixty five. She started flirting, squeezing my
- 15:18Speaker 1: arms and commenting on my physique, and now every Sunday
- 15:21Speaker 1: she wants a hug. Last week she asked me to
- 15:24Speaker 1: walk her to her car. She had cooked for me
- 15:27Speaker 1: and gave me three big aluminum trays full of food.
- 15:31Speaker 1: As I loaded the food in my car, she stopped
- 15:33Speaker 1: me and said she's also a great cook in the bedroom.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Surely she doesn't think i'd have sex with her. Oh
- 15:41Speaker 1: and her food was terrible. How can I get her
- 15:43Speaker 1: to leave me alone? Well, first of all, let me
- 15:46Speaker 1: clear you up with someone. Surely she do think you're
- 15:50Speaker 1: gonna get in bed with her? Right, because ain't no
- 15:53Speaker 1: old as woman made you three aluminum trays full of
- 15:57Speaker 1: food and I want something in return. She won't reilluminum
- 16:04Speaker 1: pans of food. Boy, boy, that's the big pans that's
- 16:08Speaker 1: about four inches deep, the ones you usually have just
- 16:12Speaker 1: dressing in. Yeah, she won't you, boy, And she cooked
- 16:17Speaker 1: good in bed too. So now what you want us
- 16:20Speaker 1: to tell you? Though? How did he say? It was
- 16:22Speaker 1: thirty telling you ain't interested? You ever tried that? Just
- 16:30Speaker 1: try that? Come here, give me a hug. And she
- 16:34Speaker 1: can't cook? What do we hug you non cooking ass
- 16:38Speaker 1: off for meat? They're a church, Steve, she's a pastor's sister.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Don't forget get your non cooking ass off meat. Still,
- 16:50Speaker 1: they was out at the cart, Shelly. They wasn't in
- 16:52Speaker 1: the church, all right. Still I consider that holy ground too,
- 16:57Speaker 1: be okay about the cocking lot, No, I was in
- 17:01Speaker 1: the parking lot ministry, so then it was holy ground
- 17:05Speaker 1: because we usually have cars getting stolen doing service, And
- 17:08Speaker 1: so they put me in the parking lot ministry because
- 17:11Speaker 1: I cussed. I was stopping people with profanity from God.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I see you climbing the fresh hey man, get the
- 17:17Speaker 1: blank off the fish. I see your blankety blake, I
- 17:20Speaker 1: see you blankety blake. And you know, so caught there,
- 17:24Speaker 1: we're down. We had only lost one car in a
- 17:28Speaker 1: whole year after I took over, and after that I
- 17:31Speaker 1: had warned the young Christian of the year war Oh really,
- 17:35Speaker 1: all right? Sing you're proud Nicole in Dallas, She says,
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm a thirty five year old married woman pregnant by
- 17:43Speaker 1: my twenty five year old boyfriend. I've been married for
- 17:47Speaker 1: six years and we've been trying to get pregnant, but
- 17:49Speaker 1: cutn't because of my husband's health issues. Now I'm pregnant.
- 17:53Speaker 1: He thinks it's a miracle and he wants to stop
- 17:55Speaker 1: taking his blood pressure medication. I have to tell him
- 17:58Speaker 1: this is not his child, so he will need his
- 18:01Speaker 1: blood pressure pills plus some more pists. There's no easy
- 18:05Speaker 1: way to tell him, but I'm very happy about the baby.
- 18:08Speaker 1: How should I break the news to him? What? Oh?
- 18:11Speaker 1: This stupid? Well, let me tell you something, lady. We're
- 18:14Speaker 1: not gonna do it. Get in the middle of this,
- 18:16Speaker 1: because there is no best way to break this news
- 18:19Speaker 1: to him. You got a twenty five year old boyfriend
- 18:22Speaker 1: and impregnated you, and you're real happy about the baby,
- 18:26Speaker 1: and your husband can't have kids because of his medical condition.
- 18:30Speaker 1: So now we don't know how you're gonna break it
- 18:32Speaker 1: to it right, so we don't know. We don't know.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I promise you I don't know, and don't even ask me.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I'm not ain't no good way to do this right here. No, no,
- 18:44Speaker 1: I canna tell you what's gonna happen, but we ain't
- 18:46Speaker 1: gonna tell you what you should do. What's gonna happen,
- 18:52Speaker 1: It's gonna start with an ass and it's gonna snowballed
- 19:01Speaker 1: into somebody gonna be doing some serious as time. Wow,
- 19:08Speaker 1: all right. Her t mac in Ohio says, I'm in
- 19:12Speaker 1: my mid forties and my wife is a constant nag
- 19:16Speaker 1: and buzz kill. I can say that I'm going to
- 19:19Speaker 1: the store, She'll tell me to be more careful, to
- 19:22Speaker 1: be careful because I'm a black man and there's a
- 19:24Speaker 1: target on me. I can be gone for ten minutes
- 19:27Speaker 1: and she's calling me to check on me. If she
- 19:31Speaker 1: doesn't agree with something I want to do, like go
- 19:34Speaker 1: to watch a high school football game. She nags me
- 19:37Speaker 1: about COVID nineteen and I usually end up not going,
- 19:42Speaker 1: just to keep the pace a piece. She got on
- 19:44Speaker 1: my nerves all day every day. How can I handle this?
- 19:48Speaker 1: Be careful? How you handle this and answer this sir, well,
- 19:52Speaker 1: me and jay Is on the show. You know we
- 19:57Speaker 1: got a show file where you ain't got to hit

- 20:14Speaker 1: we got six ways. Yeah, on this show, you can
- 20:19Speaker 1: handle it. Ain't got to hear it, no, damn no, man,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you know you want to hear that, you know. But
- 20:26Speaker 1: I want you to understand now, this is this is
- 20:29Speaker 1: very final, very final. This ain't yeah, it's gonna cause

- 20:51Speaker 1: Coming up that church complains with Reverend Motown and Deacon
- 20:54Speaker 1: def Jam. Right after this, you're listening to show. Coming
- 21:00Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, miss Anne will
- 21:02Speaker 1: continue her series Why We Vote Today segment. Miss and
- 21:06Speaker 1: will talk about last minute mail in voting. Also, yes,
- 21:11Speaker 1: Queen is sports. It's coming up in the nine o'clock.
- 21:19Speaker 1: When you win, when your team win, why is it
- 21:22Speaker 1: you want to know when sports eels? When that somebody? Yeah,
- 21:36Speaker 1: it's a forty six Eastern all right. Also, get ready
- 21:39Speaker 1: for next hour. South Carolina Democrat UH Senator senatorial candidate
- 21:44Speaker 1: Jamie Harrison will be our special guest. He is running
- 21:47Speaker 1: against the incumbent Lindsay Graham. You know him, the senator
- 21:52Speaker 1: from South Carolina. Yeah, well he probably gonna win. Let's
- 21:56Speaker 1: go right now, right now, it's time to have some fun.
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's Monday day after Sunday. Time now for Reverend Motel
- 22:05Speaker 1: and Deacon's death. Jam with today's church complaints. O Lord
- 22:13Speaker 1: galvel ye one at all galvel. We is here for
- 22:23Speaker 1: Monday to consummerate the dispensation of chronatus of violation of
- 22:34Speaker 1: rules and regulations. Yeah, dz is church complaints, go ahead.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Deacon I passed the wald uh w A l D Wild.
- 22:46Speaker 1: The Wild ministry is upset with what they're seeing on
- 22:51Speaker 1: zoom and they they want you to speak with these people.
- 22:54Speaker 1: That's the wall W a l D Ministry. And that's
- 22:57Speaker 1: the UH white after Labor Day. They want you to
- 23:03Speaker 1: handle what's going on with what they're seeing on zoom E.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But then there's a lot of people wearing white uh
- 23:08Speaker 1: after uh Labor Day they want you to handle that.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Ain't no problem. Here's my response. There's another ministry called
- 23:23Speaker 1: Bald ball b A A L D. Is that what
- 23:27Speaker 1: you're saying? Now, take yourself explanatory if you asked me
- 23:36Speaker 1: black black after Labor Day, black after which is also
- 23:48Speaker 1: is also another one called back b A C D
- 23:55Speaker 1: B A C D What is that? What is that
- 23:58Speaker 1: black after Chris must Day? And then these are I
- 24:06Speaker 1: didn't nothing about these ministries right here and Bade there's
- 24:10Speaker 1: another organization bade b A D E B A D
- 24:15Speaker 1: B A Babe, babe, what is bade black after the
- 24:19Speaker 1: day after Easter? Which means that I asked us black
- 24:24Speaker 1: most every day? And we don't have that rule anymore
- 24:29Speaker 1: because or hip hop has erased that rule. Hip Hop
- 24:33Speaker 1: and Lisa Ray have eradicated the rules of Noah white.
- 24:39Speaker 1: So don't worry about that no more. That's gone. Alright, alright,
- 24:46Speaker 1: let me tell you what else we got. That are
- 24:49Speaker 1: some members who need the media to help. Last sunning,
- 24:52Speaker 1: you kept saying, do y'all hear me, do y'all hit me,
- 24:57Speaker 1: but the Hearing Aide Ministry up saying, huh, we never
- 25:02Speaker 1: got the slammon. What wasn't called? So the Hearing Aid
- 25:06Speaker 1: Minister is not hearing your path. That's why do y'all hearman,
- 25:15Speaker 1: I said, do you hear me? Knowing full where hell,
- 25:19Speaker 1: they ain't heard the damn thing I said. But the
- 25:22Speaker 1: rhythm of said, do y'all hear me? It just sounds good.
- 25:29Speaker 1: That's why I said. It is not directed at the
- 25:33Speaker 1: at the people who can't hear good. I know they
- 25:36Speaker 1: don't hear me right right right, And all that is
- 25:42Speaker 1: just checking in with them, that's all, because if they
- 25:45Speaker 1: do him and then they even get on out the
- 25:47Speaker 1: hearing the ministry the moment they answer back, healing has come. Amen,
- 25:57Speaker 1: use you let him muse you, all right. Pastor breaks yourself. Now,
- 26:01Speaker 1: some of the members would like to go over your
- 26:04Speaker 1: expense account. We see gas when you're not really driving anywhere.
- 26:10Speaker 1: We see money for suits when you're wearing the same thing,
- 26:15Speaker 1: and we see communion. Wine. How can you get communion
- 26:20Speaker 1: when you serving us on zoom? And they want to
- 26:23Speaker 1: understand what's going on with you and these expenses, Pastor, Well,
- 26:29Speaker 1: y'all may not be doing communion, but but you're about
- 26:39Speaker 1: a case of communion, wine, bat and you're the only
- 26:42Speaker 1: one doing your communion. We don't understand what no, no, no,
- 26:46Speaker 1: no no I do Viral communion. See, I do communion
- 26:51Speaker 1: for everybody own zoom, I'll take it for you. So
- 27:00Speaker 1: you drinking communion for all of the last member? Who
- 27:06Speaker 1: else do that? She that's what makes my ministry stronger
- 27:10Speaker 1: than these other so called fake pastors. I know my
- 27:13Speaker 1: flock is not here fuck communion, so I take communion
- 27:17Speaker 1: for them. The man many man again. Man, I'm gonna
- 27:26Speaker 1: help you. Get to help even if you don't want
- 27:28Speaker 1: to go. All right, all of the members are tired
- 27:34Speaker 1: of seeing the praise dancers. We saw it last this
- 27:37Speaker 1: past Sunday and the Sunday for that, uh that they
- 27:41Speaker 1: are really tired of seeing it. Would you be interested
- 27:43Speaker 1: in praise strippers? Yea praise sp I'm very open to
- 27:50Speaker 1: that because we're not getting anywhere with this praise ministry.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I lowered my head most of the super calls. They
- 27:59Speaker 1: just just just there's no weak restrictions over any coming.
- 28:03Speaker 1: They're up in here, and when you know, sister herline
- 28:07Speaker 1: puts her praise or gown on it, just the whole
- 28:11Speaker 1: zoom call is just white and she's standing back off
- 28:17Speaker 1: her computer and she's still in the whole frame. Ah.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So yes, yeah, we is open to us or you know,
- 28:27Speaker 1: going down and reached the souls that needed the most.
- 28:33Speaker 1: On the way, I passed the eye. Sister Days at
- 28:36Speaker 1: Latimer has made panting mask, but members want to know
- 28:40Speaker 1: whose pants they were before they put him on. She
- 28:43Speaker 1: doesn't want to tell nobody, but Brother our Car said
- 28:46Speaker 1: he knows that. Sister Brenda on his face, he knows it,
- 28:50Speaker 1: but he's asking, can you at least let us know
- 28:53Speaker 1: where these pantis came from? Bomb from Sister Gertrude, or
- 28:59Speaker 1: she's made eighteen mask out a one pail. We gotta go.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, entertainment and
- 29:10Speaker 1: national news. Right after this, Jesus, you're listening to the
- 29:17Speaker 1: Stave Harvey Morning Show. Coming up in twenty minutes, South
- 29:22Speaker 1: Carolina Democratic Senatorial Canada Jamie Harrison will be our special guest.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Harrison is running against the incumbent Republican Senator Lendsey Graham.
- 29:32Speaker 1: We've all heard of him. Jamie Harrison in twenty minutes
- 29:35Speaker 1: on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You don't want to
- 29:38Speaker 1: miss it. Ulto. Miss Anne is standing by to talk
- 29:40Speaker 1: about last minute mail in voting in her series called
- 29:44Speaker 1: Why We Vote. But first, in today's entertainment news R
- 29:48Speaker 1: and B singer and musical legend Angela Bophil is not dead.
- 29:52Speaker 1: You hear that, Steve, She is not dead. On Saturday,
- 29:55Speaker 1: October twenty fourth, Angela Bophil became the victim of a
- 30:00Speaker 1: death hoax and it was circulating all over social media.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Angela Beaufield corrected the rumor in a Facebook post. She said,
- 30:07Speaker 1: my manager Rich Ingle just informed me that I died.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Thank you everyone for everyone reaching out. But I am
- 30:15Speaker 1: very much on the right side of the grass makes
- 30:21Speaker 1: these type of hoax. We are so glass and she
- 30:28Speaker 1: you better save knocked. Let him muse, you know, I can't.
- 30:40Speaker 1: You know, he gonna probably need this whole for young
- 30:45Speaker 1: people listening. What you Yeah, If y'all ain't got it,
- 30:59Speaker 1: please go Apple Music and by I try, and I
- 31:03Speaker 1: promise you you gonna love it. For those of you
- 31:05Speaker 1: it's not familiar with I tried, by Angela Bowfield, pull
- 31:09Speaker 1: it up by ninety nine cent. You're making a favor
- 31:12Speaker 1: and your class. I like to delegate that to caller
- 31:14Speaker 1: for real. Tried to do the best I can for you,
- 31:21Speaker 1: but it seems it's not enough. Loser. Oh that's so bad.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I saw her live at the front row theater. Lord
- 31:32Speaker 1: I wanted her. Hell know, me and Jay Anthony Brown
- 31:39Speaker 1: had been the every damn concert on a Dog and
- 31:43Speaker 1: it was the only thing to do back then. That
- 31:45Speaker 1: was the date Phyllis him and Angela Bowfield. I saw,
- 31:49Speaker 1: I saw shot Phillis Hammond was cold. May opened from
- 31:57Speaker 1: Mays was my first opening gig and a friend of mine,
- 32:00Speaker 1: James Wolford, gave me two hundred dollars and bought me
- 32:04Speaker 1: a linen suit to open for maids Man Man two
- 32:10Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars. Yeah, he stole thirty three thousand
- 32:13Speaker 1: dollars from me. Who James Wolf how much though thirty
- 32:18Speaker 1: three thousand? All I had thirty three thousand, nineteen ninety
- 32:22Speaker 1: five stough thirty three thousand dollars All I had, All
- 32:25Speaker 1: I had, all I had. He was the manager of
- 32:28Speaker 1: my comedy clubs. Oh, I look for him for years.
- 32:33Speaker 1: What that's why I didn't get paid when I came up.
- 32:36Speaker 1: There no money. Get it from James. You ain't got
- 32:44Speaker 1: no money. It was on the strength of your friendship.
- 32:48Speaker 1: So he used the book J two oh. J came
- 32:51Speaker 1: all the time on Dog. Ja came to my club
- 32:53Speaker 1: Dog dog, you who Who's who? Ain't the only person
- 32:57Speaker 1: that was somebody right now that ain't been to my
- 32:59Speaker 1: com club with your pale rock and martin laws. It
- 33:05Speaker 1: was not all the rest of them been there. Everybody
- 33:08Speaker 1: else been out was there and I was that the
- 33:10Speaker 1: lights went out one night completely. He didn't have money
- 33:13Speaker 1: to play all weekend. All right, Steve, it's time now
- 33:19Speaker 1: from a series Why We Vote? He has a gentleman,
- 33:23Speaker 1: miss Andre. Okay, thank you very much. I learned something
- 33:26Speaker 1: every time he talks the morning. This is and two
- 33:28Speaker 1: with the news. Okay, Well, President Trump has been claiming
- 33:31Speaker 1: that we quote turned the corner in the fight against
- 33:33Speaker 1: the coronavirus. His White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows
- 33:36Speaker 1: told CNN's Jake Tapper that the Trump administration is basically
- 33:40Speaker 1: given up trying to keep it for spreading. We're not
- 33:42Speaker 1: going to control the pandemic. We are going to control
- 33:45Speaker 1: the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigations
- 33:50Speaker 1: were but because it is a contagious virus just like
- 33:55Speaker 1: the food well it's not like the seasonal foods, much deadlier.
- 33:58Speaker 1: In fact, they have been eighty thousand newly confirmed cases
- 34:01Speaker 1: of it in the US on Friday. Oh well, now
- 34:05Speaker 1: to the subject of the election. They've lost ballot fraudulent ballots.
- 34:10Speaker 1: As we enter the final stretch of the twenty twenty
- 34:12Speaker 1: presidential election season, here's some straightforward, last mined information courtesy
- 34:17Speaker 1: of Amber mcreynold's head of the National Vote at Home
- 34:20Speaker 1: Institute and coalition. In some states they call it absence
- 34:24Speaker 1: he voting. Some states call it vote by mail, some
- 34:27Speaker 1: call it mail on voting. But fundamentally the ballot is
- 34:30Speaker 1: handled in the same way in terms of process needed counting.
- 34:35Speaker 1: The big issue is a signature discrepancy or a missing signature,
- 34:39Speaker 1: and that just means that the voters signature on file
- 34:44Speaker 1: doesn't match what's on the envelope exactly. So most states
- 34:47Speaker 1: have a cure process or voters can resolve that discrepancy,
- 34:51Speaker 1: and that goes the same for a missing signature on
- 34:55Speaker 1: the top of a ballot. You'll see mark this ballot
- 34:59Speaker 1: so on the old roles using black or blue ink.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Follow the instructions in terms of marketing the ballot, and
- 35:05Speaker 1: then also follow the instructions with regards to returning the ballot.
- 35:10Speaker 1: There's still a few states that require a witness. Not
- 35:14Speaker 1: everyone lives with another adult. I think that this provision
- 35:18Speaker 1: inadvertently disenfranchises people and it makes the process more difficult.
- 35:24Speaker 1: In most states, there are provisions set up where you
- 35:28Speaker 1: can drop your ballot off either at drop boxes or
- 35:31Speaker 1: at voting locations or at the clerk's office. In some
- 35:34Speaker 1: states you are allowed to drop off at polling places,
- 35:37Speaker 1: but that's actually pretty limited. To make sure you follow
- 35:42Speaker 1: the instructions and check your state's rules, go to canivote
- 35:46Speaker 1: dot org, which is a website run by the National
- 35:49Speaker 1: Associations Secretaries of State and you can put in any
- 35:53Speaker 1: state that you're in and it will give you all
- 35:55Speaker 1: the details you need for your state. That was Amber
- 35:58Speaker 1: mcreynold's head of the National Vote at Institute and Coalition.
- 36:02Speaker 1: That website again is can i vote dot org. This
- 36:05Speaker 1: is an trip. Now back to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:09Speaker 1: You're listening, hey, listen to everybody, as promise our special
- 36:14Speaker 1: guests this morning. It's a former chairman of South Carolina
- 36:18Speaker 1: Democratic Party. He's right now running against the incumbent Senator
- 36:23Speaker 1: Lindsey Graham. We all know how we feel about him.
- 36:27Speaker 1: We all know what he is. It's not a game.
- 36:31Speaker 1: He is everything he's ever been trumped up to be
- 36:35Speaker 1: and even more so now so he gots to go.
- 36:38Speaker 1: He has been up incumbent Senator of South Carolina for
- 36:42Speaker 1: too long, and right now he holds a US Senate seat,
- 36:45Speaker 1: but in a state where no Democrat has ever won
- 36:48Speaker 1: the Senate seat in over twenty years. We now have
- 36:53Speaker 1: a close race on our hands, and we have an
- 36:56Speaker 1: option in South Carolina where we all get to play
- 37:00Speaker 1: a part in making history and changing the direction of
- 37:03Speaker 1: this great state. Our very own Jaanthony Brown is from
- 37:07Speaker 1: South Carolina. But ladies and gentlemen, let's meet the man
- 37:10Speaker 1: that's about to change things in South Carolina. Please welcome
- 37:14Speaker 1: the only choice for South Carolina. Come us to Jamie
- 37:18Speaker 1: Harrison Building. Jamie, how you doing today, sir, Oh Steve,
- 37:29Speaker 1: I'm doing so well, man, I'm blessed and fortunately and
- 37:32Speaker 1: I'm ready to send Lindsay Graham home. Well. Listen, man,
- 37:35Speaker 1: we want to congratulate you because over the weekend your
- 37:39Speaker 1: campaign raised over two million dollars in forty eight hours,
- 37:43Speaker 1: and as the polls are now showing, you have us
- 37:46Speaker 1: lead over your Republican opponent Lindsey Graham. We're not comfortable,
- 37:51Speaker 1: but we want to say congratulations. Yes, thank you, thank you,
- 37:55Speaker 1: thank you. We still got a lot of work to do, though, folks,
- 37:59Speaker 1: to get to the po and listen, South Carolina. We
- 38:02Speaker 1: want everybody, every member of the Steve Harvard Nation, Steve
- 38:07Speaker 1: Harvard Morning Show crew, all of us have voted. We
- 38:10Speaker 1: are all in support of the right ticket. And this
- 38:13Speaker 1: man right here has a chance to make history, and
- 38:16Speaker 1: we have him on today. He's gonna tell us or
- 38:19Speaker 1: what he is about so we can know exactly. We
- 38:22Speaker 1: already know what Lindsay Graham is about. We already got it.
- 38:24Speaker 1: We've heard enough, we've seen enough. This dude ain't fitting
- 38:28Speaker 1: a change, he's too old to change. So let's just
- 38:31Speaker 1: get it on. As the focus on healthcare has grown
- 38:35Speaker 1: during this pandemic, Jamie, you've emphasized a need for Medicaid expansion.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Let's talk about that a little bit, yes, sir, Well,
- 38:45Speaker 1: you know, listen, Steve, we live in the state where
- 38:47Speaker 1: almost two hundred and fifty thousand people don't have healthcare.
- 38:51Speaker 1: We're just two years ago, fourteen of our forty six
- 38:54Speaker 1: counties didn't have an OBG y in the entire county.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Now think about that, an entire county actually having fourteen
- 39:02Speaker 1: of them and not have one ob GYN in the
- 39:05Speaker 1: entire county. But four of our rural hospitals have closed
- 39:08Speaker 1: over the past few years. And Lindsay Graham right now
- 39:11Speaker 1: supports the lawsuit that is sitting in the Supreme Court
- 39:14Speaker 1: that will be heard on November tenth, that has a
- 39:16Speaker 1: potential or ripping away the healthcare of twenty eight million
- 39:20Speaker 1: people in this country, many would pre existing conditions. Hey, Jamie, listen,
- 39:25Speaker 1: hang on one second. Jamie will be right back with
- 39:27Speaker 1: more with future Senator Jamie Harrison right after this. You're
- 39:32Speaker 1: listening to all Right, y'all, we're back and we're talking
- 39:37Speaker 1: with candidate for Senator Senator of South Carolina, mister Jamie
- 39:42Speaker 1: Harrison or running against Lindsey Graham, who has got to go.
- 39:47Speaker 1: So you've really made a connection with Democrats, man, A
- 39:50Speaker 1: strong segment of independence and a small group of moderate
- 39:55Speaker 1: Republicans are supporting YouTube. What message do you have for
- 39:59Speaker 1: the voters of South Carolina. We need some real leadership
- 40:02Speaker 1: on these issues. And Lindsey Graham has showed us that
- 40:05Speaker 1: he cares more about Washington political games than he does
- 40:08Speaker 1: the lives of the people in the states. And that's
- 40:10Speaker 1: why it's time for him to go. Yeah, on so
- 40:13Speaker 1: many levels, man, because mister Jamie Harrison, it's running for
- 40:17Speaker 1: Senate in South Carolina. Make no mistake about this. We
- 40:21Speaker 1: have a chance to put a man in a Senate seat,
- 40:25Speaker 1: which we need control up desperately to stop this machine
- 40:29Speaker 1: that's in place that's taking away everything that's a benefit
- 40:33Speaker 1: to people who really need help. And so healthcare is
- 40:37Speaker 1: one of those things. Well, Steve, you know, in this race,
- 40:40Speaker 1: Lindsay Graham is trying to scare people to vote for him.
- 40:43Speaker 1: I'm trying to inspire people to support me. And that's
- 40:47Speaker 1: a big contrast and difference in this race is I
- 40:50Speaker 1: told folks from the very starts, this isn't not about
- 40:52Speaker 1: Democrats versus Republicans, or progressive versus conservatives. It's about doing
- 40:56Speaker 1: what's right versus what's wrong. And for far too long
- 40:59Speaker 1: as they've been doing the wrong thing here in South Carolina,
- 41:02Speaker 1: and people have been suffering. And I know what hard
- 41:04Speaker 1: times are. You know. I grew up in Orangeburg, South Carolina,
- 41:07Speaker 1: the son of a team mom. My mom was sixteen
- 41:09Speaker 1: years old when she had dropped out of high school,
- 41:11Speaker 1: and was my grandparents who took care of me. My
- 41:13Speaker 1: grandma had an eighth grade education because she had to
- 41:16Speaker 1: stop school and she picked cotton and when she worked
- 41:18Speaker 1: in a textile plan My grandfather had a fourth grade education.
- 41:21Speaker 1: But you know, despite all the harshness we had, I
- 41:24Speaker 1: always had hope that things could get better. They had
- 41:26Speaker 1: hope that things would get better for me. I was
- 41:28Speaker 1: the first in my family to go to college, went
- 41:30Speaker 1: to Yale, went to Georgetown Law School, I taught high school.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I worked for Jim Priver, and you know, I've been
- 41:36Speaker 1: blessed and I lived the American dream. But the reason
- 41:39Speaker 1: why I'm running is because I want the other little
- 41:41Speaker 1: kids growing up today, some of the ones that are
- 41:43Speaker 1: watching my TV ads and are coming to our rallies.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I want them to be able to live their American dreams.
- 41:49Speaker 1: But you've got to have the right type of people
- 41:51Speaker 1: in leadership in order to do that, who actually care
- 41:54Speaker 1: about those kids and the things that they're going to.
- 41:56Speaker 1: You know, Center GRAMDMA I used to respect. I used
- 41:58Speaker 1: to thought that he came about it, but I see
- 42:00Speaker 1: that he only cared about it doing political power. And
- 42:03Speaker 1: that is why we have to change things. It's about
- 42:06Speaker 1: closing the book on the Old South and writing a
- 42:08Speaker 1: brand new book called a New South, one that is bold, inclusive,
- 42:12Speaker 1: and diverse, where all of our voices should be heard
- 42:14Speaker 1: and valued. And that's what I'm fighting for each and
- 42:17Speaker 1: every day. And I hope South Carolina give me the
- 42:19Speaker 1: opportunity on November third. What do you say to the
- 42:24Speaker 1: people of South Carolina who are waiting to decide or
- 42:29Speaker 1: have them folded? Why should they choose Jamie Harrison? Well,
- 42:35Speaker 1: you know, Steve, the people that we send to Washington
- 42:38Speaker 1: have to be folks who understand the harshest that we've
- 42:40Speaker 1: gone through. You know, Man, I can recall morning, you know,
- 42:44Speaker 1: getting up to go get a bowl of cereal, and
- 42:46Speaker 1: I go to the fridge to get the milk and
- 42:48Speaker 1: there's no milk. Not because somebody forgot the carton of milk,
- 42:51Speaker 1: is because we couldn't afford it. And so, you know,
- 42:54Speaker 1: we've had hard times. But again, but despite the hard times,
- 42:57Speaker 1: we always had hope that things will be better. You know,
- 43:00Speaker 1: I don't think there's ever been a centator that grew
- 43:03Speaker 1: up on food stamps. I don't think there was ever
- 43:05Speaker 1: a senator ever evicted from their homes and had to
- 43:08Speaker 1: lay on couch cushions and patterns as my grandma's states
- 43:11Speaker 1: in the houses of aunts and autus. Right. But but
- 43:15Speaker 1: but those are the things that I bring to the
- 43:18Speaker 1: United States Senate. So it won't be an academic discussion
- 43:21Speaker 1: for me. When we're talking about housing in the high
- 43:23Speaker 1: eviction rates here in South Carolina, or when we're talking
- 43:26Speaker 1: about the unemployment benefit that so many people need here,
- 43:30Speaker 1: and Lindsey Graham said, over his dead body, will he
- 43:33Speaker 1: allow an extension of the unemployed benefits? So you know
- 43:36Speaker 1: that won't be an academic discussion because I don't understand it.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I don't know it because I've lived it. And that's
- 43:41Speaker 1: the difference that I'll bring. We've only had ten black
- 43:44Speaker 1: centators in the United States ever ever. Wow right, Jamie
- 43:51Speaker 1: hey man, we love you brother, Thank you for your fight, man,
- 43:55Speaker 1: thank you for everything you're doing. And we're gonna show
- 43:57Speaker 1: him up. We're gonna keep pushing Manna, We're gonna get
- 44:00Speaker 1: it across across the line. And vote and vote early.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Don't wait to November third, Go ahead, man, exactly. Thank
- 44:10Speaker 1: you so much, man, and congratulations man, thank you very much. Well, guys,
- 44:15Speaker 1: eight days until the November third election, please go please
- 44:21Speaker 1: and vote early. Okay, coming up next to nephew with
- 44:24Speaker 1: the prank phone call as we switch gears. Right after this,
- 44:27Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 44:32Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's
- 44:35Speaker 1: my Strawberry letter for today, the subject I don't want
- 44:38Speaker 1: to hurt the little guy. Wow, we'll get into that.
- 44:42Speaker 1: No like that. I don't like how this sound. Yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 1: I know you don't. I knew you were gonna say that.
- 44:50Speaker 1: You know who it could be about, nephew. Temmy is
- 44:55Speaker 1: here right now with today's prank phone call. What you
- 44:57Speaker 1: got for us? And you I ain't come back to
- 45:02Speaker 1: the church. You can't come back to church. Lets the
- 45:08Speaker 1: head is listen. Hello, I'm trying to reach us to
- 45:13Speaker 1: short reads Mayfield. Deacon bobs from the from the church,
- 45:19Speaker 1: bounds from the from church. Yes, yes, ma'am. Okay from
- 45:25Speaker 1: from from here. Can you hear me? Good? There's old
- 45:28Speaker 1: phone on work. We're good, yeah, my phone okay, okay,
- 45:33Speaker 1: that I called it. The deacon board didn't had a
- 45:36Speaker 1: meeting as well as uh passes and uh they didn't
- 45:40Speaker 1: have a meeting. That come to the understanding that uh
- 45:44Speaker 1: they're gonna ask you to not come to church right
- 45:48Speaker 1: now because about that the bars of your air can
- 45:52Speaker 1: James being in jail, the way the ears and want
- 45:55Speaker 1: to want you to just stop. I don't know if
- 45:58Speaker 1: they're gonna suspend you from church right now, but they
- 46:02Speaker 1: they think it put a bad look on the church.
- 46:05Speaker 1: My kids being in jail put a bad look on
- 46:08Speaker 1: the church. Well, that's what. That's what's what. That's what
- 46:11Speaker 1: they come up with. Now. We even had to meet
- 46:12Speaker 1: with the deacon ball and with passing stoves. I don't
- 46:15Speaker 1: understand why y'all have for me meeting about my kids
- 46:18Speaker 1: in the church. What my kids got to do with
- 46:21Speaker 1: the church. Well, what we're trying to do is show
- 46:24Speaker 1: a good example to the youth that we got there. Okay,
- 46:27Speaker 1: you can show a good example about me being there,
- 46:30Speaker 1: paying my ties and offering. Well, that was another thing
- 46:33Speaker 1: that's been brought down intention that we're gonna be calling
- 46:36Speaker 1: a lot of members about it. People not paying the
- 46:38Speaker 1: tide the way they fold I pay my task. I
- 46:40Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know who told you that, Deacon Bars.
- 46:43Speaker 1: I don't even know first of all, who you are.
- 46:45Speaker 1: And I'm not trying to be mean to you. And
- 46:48Speaker 1: I don't. I don't even understand why you how you
- 46:50Speaker 1: even got my phone number. I paid my task, I
- 46:54Speaker 1: pay my offering. Go on your computer at the church,
- 46:57Speaker 1: call your secretary or whoever. Let me let me ask
- 47:00Speaker 1: you this us may feel. Do you pay your tie
- 47:03Speaker 1: according to what you make? Yes? I do check the books.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Well what now what it is? We can't check the
- 47:10Speaker 1: books that we don't know exactly what you make? Is
- 47:13Speaker 1: what I'm saying. What I make is my business between
- 47:18Speaker 1: me and Jesus. I give him his ten percent. And
- 47:21Speaker 1: that's how Mars. He'll need to know and understand exactly
- 47:26Speaker 1: where you come from. But not the main issue on
- 47:28Speaker 1: table is about the boys and and and being you know,
- 47:32Speaker 1: disrupted the way to here. They don't want that to
- 47:34Speaker 1: be to bleed over to the youth. Quiet, wait a minute,
- 47:37Speaker 1: Wait a minute. And first of all, I would appreciate
- 47:40Speaker 1: if you would have pathor to tell me this hisself.
- 47:43Speaker 1: And then second of all, if somebody kids is having
- 47:46Speaker 1: trouble in the world or whatever, y'all supposed to pray
- 47:49Speaker 1: for him, not put them at the church or the mama,
- 47:52Speaker 1: Well I'm I'm what we're gonna We're gonna pray for
- 47:55Speaker 1: and we're gonna pray for you too, but we don't
- 47:57Speaker 1: want to share over to the youth that we got.
- 48:00Speaker 1: They're doing good with that. Well, I'm gonna keep coming.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Y'all can't stop me from coming to the church. I'm
- 48:05Speaker 1: gonna keep coming. So I don't know who you're talking to.
- 48:10Speaker 1: And you tell a passer to call me hit self
- 48:12Speaker 1: and tell me I can't come to Hell, and you
- 48:15Speaker 1: have nobody calling me telling me that I can't come
- 48:18Speaker 1: to Hell. That is a free church. I'm gonna get
- 48:21Speaker 1: the powers and called up as you get the pastor
- 48:24Speaker 1: to call me, because you have no business calling me
- 48:27Speaker 1: telling me that I can't come to God's house. What's mazing.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I don't want you to get into role with me now.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I'm not getting I'm not getting angry with nobody. Did
- 48:36Speaker 1: I work. I don't work eighteen sixteen hours today. I
- 48:39Speaker 1: don't have half nobody calling me telling me that I
- 48:41Speaker 1: can't come to a church that I pay my cars
- 48:43Speaker 1: and offering that not that I own the church. I
- 48:46Speaker 1: pay my cars because that's that's due to God. But
- 48:49Speaker 1: y'all really making me upset by telling me I can't
- 48:52Speaker 1: come now because of my kids in their troubles? Where
- 48:56Speaker 1: was you this past something? You wasn't there. I wasn't
- 49:00Speaker 1: a church because I had over stuff? And why is
- 49:02Speaker 1: that in your your bill? Now? There you go being
- 49:05Speaker 1: in up road with me again. I don't know who
- 49:09Speaker 1: this is. How could you call somebody about church business
- 49:13Speaker 1: over the phone. This don't make sense. Chase Mayville Hello, Yeah,
- 49:20Speaker 1: one more thing. This nephew timent from the Steve Harvey

- 51:40Speaker 1: I am. I mean, it's just it's difficult, it really
- 51:43Speaker 1: is it, really, Steve, he doesn't know how you live
- 51:47Speaker 1: with your own greats hard? It's so much excellence. You
- 51:59Speaker 1: could put the excellence you have in another person and
- 52:02Speaker 1: still have excellence left over. That's how. Wow. N that's
- 52:08Speaker 1: a compliment. That's how you compliment me and what and
- 52:14Speaker 1: that's for free? Jay, You're saying this. He didn't pay
- 52:17Speaker 1: you or anything. Wow Wow, that's how you compliment you, though,
- 52:21Speaker 1: Do you think I need to pay somebody for compliments.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying? Shirt? What are you saying, sir?
- 52:28Speaker 1: I'm just you know, he's I'm asking you a question.

- 52:34Speaker 1: let you pay someone and we'll see how well they do.

- 52:49Speaker 1: if you paid me, I just called you the king

- 55:05Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. Subject, I don't want to
- 55:09Speaker 1: hurt the little guy. Dear Stephen Shirley. I dated a
- 55:13Speaker 1: guy off and on for about three years, but we
- 55:16Speaker 1: never had sexual relations because I was having myself a
- 55:19Speaker 1: good time dating several men at once and I was celibate.
- 55:22Speaker 1: He was a perfect gentleman and had every quality that
- 55:25Speaker 1: I prayed for in a man, but I wasn't ready
- 55:28Speaker 1: to settle down. Now that I'm twenty nine, I decided
- 55:32Speaker 1: it was time my heart led me back to the
- 55:34Speaker 1: guy I've been casually dating and he was still single
- 55:38Speaker 1: and he still wanted me. Two months into dating, we
- 55:41Speaker 1: had sex, and since then I haven't been able to
- 55:44Speaker 1: tell him that I don't want him and it's over.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Before we had sex, he kept telling me that he
- 55:51Speaker 1: wanted to taste my entire body, and he bragged on
- 55:55Speaker 1: his skills in the bedroom. I've been celibate for five years,
- 55:59Speaker 1: so I told him he better bring it, and I
- 56:02Speaker 1: couldn't wait. It finally happened, and it was a very
- 56:07Speaker 1: romantic night dot dot dot at first. Then he started
- 56:13Speaker 1: with a lot of wet kissing and licking my face,
- 56:16Speaker 1: which was different than his usual sensual kiss He proceeded
- 56:20Speaker 1: to lick my entire body with his tongue, drenching me
- 56:26Speaker 1: in his saliva, which was very uncomfortable. By the time
- 56:31Speaker 1: we got to the actual sex part. I just wanted
- 56:35Speaker 1: it to end. He got a condom, put it on,
- 56:39Speaker 1: then turned to me, and all I could see was
- 56:43Speaker 1: the baggie was a baggie something hanging from him. Surely
- 56:48Speaker 1: the thing didn't even fit. Sure I wanted to run
- 57:00Speaker 1: out of there, but I didn't. I endured close to
- 57:03Speaker 1: five minutes of heavy panting, moaning, and sweating. I didn't
- 57:08Speaker 1: say one word because I didn't feel a thing. He
- 57:12Speaker 1: jumped up afterwards and had the nerve to start bragging
- 57:15Speaker 1: and said he tried to take it easy on me
- 57:18Speaker 1: since it's been a while. Negro, Please, how should I
- 57:22Speaker 1: let little man know that I won't ever be going
- 57:25Speaker 1: back for seconds? Please advise? Hey, first of all, I
- 57:29Speaker 1: want to thank y'all for a while. Yeah. Yeah, this
- 57:34Speaker 1: is what Taylor made for you. Yeah yeah, But you
- 57:41Speaker 1: know what, Steve, this is. This is some criticism that
- 57:44Speaker 1: has no happy ending. I mean, if you go ahead
- 57:47Speaker 1: and do that and tell him, and I hate these
- 57:50Speaker 1: kinds of letters. I do because there's no easy way
- 57:54Speaker 1: to tell him something like this. You can't tell anyone
- 57:57Speaker 1: something like this. He's too small. You didn't feel anything.
- 58:01Speaker 1: You can't tell him that, no matter what you do,
- 58:04Speaker 1: or how you say it, or how easy you try
- 58:07Speaker 1: to let him down. His feelings will be hurt and
- 58:11Speaker 1: his ego will be crushed. Okay, I say all of
- 58:15Speaker 1: that because you called him little man. You know, you
- 58:18Speaker 1: kind of clowned him a little bit. I don't want
- 58:20Speaker 1: you to clown him. If you decide to tell him this,
- 58:22Speaker 1: I don't know. This is too crushing. And please don't
- 58:27Speaker 1: forget that you said your heart led you back to him,
- 58:30Speaker 1: so you initiated this relationship and all of this. And
- 58:34Speaker 1: on another note, how you stay there that long for
- 58:37Speaker 1: the tongue saliva drenching is beyond me. Look, it's just
- 58:44Speaker 1: way too much, you know. But the reality is people
- 58:48Speaker 1: break up every single day. They break up every single day.
- 58:52Speaker 1: You can break it off with him, You just have
- 58:54Speaker 1: to tell him something else. Just don't let that be
- 58:57Speaker 1: the reason, please, because again you will crush Steve. Yeah,
- 59:03Speaker 1: you know, I think the part that we're failing to realize,
- 59:09Speaker 1: and hell is that crushing is you know, we learned
- 59:17Speaker 1: the majority of our lessons we learned in life off
- 59:20Speaker 1: from a failure and disaster. All the valuable lessons I've
- 59:27Speaker 1: learned in my life came often footnotes. The tailing of
- 59:33Speaker 1: a disaster or failure. So let's look at this failure.
- 59:37Speaker 1: You dated this guy off and on for three years,
- 59:40Speaker 1: never had sexual relations with him because you was dating
- 59:44Speaker 1: several men at once, and you were celibate, perfect, gentleman,
- 59:48Speaker 1: everything you ever wanted, but you weren't ready. Then you
- 59:50Speaker 1: finally decided you did. And here's a key. Your heart
- 59:54Speaker 1: led me back to the guy i'd been casually dating.
- 59:59Speaker 1: He was stell singly still wanted you. You should have
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: asked yourself, right then, after five years of playing him off,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: why is he still available? You have got to ask
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: yourself that. Ladies, when you meet a man that's perfect,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: ain't ever been married, ain't got no kids, you have
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: got to ask yourself one question, why is this man
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: so perfect? Ain't never been married, and ain't got no kids.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: When we come back, I'll tell you why. All right,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, subject I don't want
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: to hurt the little guy. We'll be back right after this.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: come on, let's recap my strawberry letter for today. The
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: subject is I don't want to hurt the little guy.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Oh sounds so sad. Nine year old girl been cellibate
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: for five years, finally met somebody she wanted to make
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: a move with her heart led her back to this man.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Come to find out, it just so happened. He's still sinkle,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: he's still available, and he still wanted her. Well you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: hadn't you been sellable and everything, and you just started
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: dating it. Two months in, y'all had sex and you
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: ain't been able to tell him that you don't want him,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: and is over. Now, let me tell you what happened
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: before y'all had sex. He kept telling you he wanted
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: to taste my entire body. That right down, what's what
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: he knows is his specialty, tasting. He hasted tasting. It's
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: his specialty. He led with it. He told you that's
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: what it won't He said, that's what he was gonna do.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Y'all got your clothes off and he started kissing. Then
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: he started licking your face. See that wasn't licking your face.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: The tasting had begun, and he told you he wanted
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: to taste your entire body because this is what he got.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: This his best thing. Is to taste it. Well, he
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: started all this wet kissing, licking your face, and it
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: was just different than the usual kisses. Then he started
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to lick your entire body with his tongue. Now, let
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: me tell you something. When y'a I'm Monday, the covers
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: and you start getting your whole body lick with his tongue,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: obviously he thirsty. But his thirst brings on a lot
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: of marster, because your tongue to get dry after you
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: lick her arm. If you lick a whole arm, that
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: ought to dry a regular man's mouth out. If you
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: lick a woman's arm, that shit dry out your whole mouth.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: But obviously this excited him, and he was just slobbling
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: the whole time. And slobblingbl not slobbery. Slobbling. Slobbling is
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: when it's moti come. So next thing, you know, your
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: shoulders just wet, both your arms is wet, all up
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: around your neck is wet. And and slobbery is different
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: than water. It's a little thicker. It's a little thicker.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: And now here he comes all around your breast. Now
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: he all down by your neighbor. Now the whole top
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: of your body just ice cold. He just stood a slobbling.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Hold your heads. You're about to run about this damn room.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: You're about to lose your mind. Just as the ass
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: sitting up your slobbling over me. When you carry up
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: and get to this, he did your entire body. Now
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: you're in the thighs is wet, your knee caps were wet.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: All on the back of your caps is wet. You're
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: just sitting up there with this man just slobbling on
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: your ass. Where is this going? Boy? This is too
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: much now, you say, which was very uncomfortable by the
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: time we got to the actual sec part. I just
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: wanted it over. You can't, yeah, because you're cold. That's
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: why your eyes cold. Ain't you wet? And you ain't
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: even wet, You just damp. You know how it field
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: when you're damp. You ever had a wet T shirt
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: on after you work out and go out in the
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: air condition, hit it and you want to take it off.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: That's where she had, but you can't get it off
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: because it ain't an article of clothing. It's slobb them.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: So now he got the condole. He put it on,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: and when he turns around, it looked like somebody the
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: draped a sheet of saran wrap on him. It's chest,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: hang it off for him, boil. Let me take you some.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: That's hard when you don't fill up a condom. It's hard.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Now the chances you're getting pregnant is very high, very high,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: because they ain't gonna be able to stay on a
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: little man to turn around. And then he started it
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: ain't fit. You wanted to run out of there, but
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: you tried to hang in that because you thought, well,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: maybe hold on, maybe hold on. Maybe he'll rise to
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: the occasion. Maybe he'll somehow fill up the room. Maybe
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: he'll somehow his love will expand all here and there.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: All of five minutes, heavy panting, moaning and sweating. You
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: didn't say one word because you didn't feel a damn thing. Well,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I got news for you. He didn't neither. See, See,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: you aren't the only one to feel nothing. He didn't
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: because when you love man, it ain't nothing for you
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: to feel. You just that's why he got to do
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the heavy brandon and breathing, because he got to work
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: itself up, because he ain't ain't ain't no friction. He
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: just he just over there and he jumped up and
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: had the nervous start Bragg and said he tried to
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: take it easy on you. See you, but then you said, negro, Please,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: I know what you really saying. It wasn't end, but
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: it wasn't Post your comments on Today's Letter at Steve
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook, and don't forget to
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. Now coming
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: up at forty six minutes after the hour, Sports Talk
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: with Junior. It's coming up next, Steve, you asked earlier
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening morning show. All right, guys,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: here we go. Junior's here with Sports Talk. Come on
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: sports Talk. He would go, Oh, sports Talk waiting, I'm
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: ready here, cot congrat to the Cleveland Brown. What I
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: think win to come back? Whin you're talking about with
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: six six seconds on the clock, Yes, sir, that the
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: you talk about Baker Mayfield walk and won the game. Yeah,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: you start start with Cleveland. Oh, we can't talk about
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: the Texas. Well, I think we should. I don't want
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: all the time dedicated to my city. Okay, let me
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: just get out to wait because obviously Tommy wants to
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: talk about the Texan. Thank y'all Cleveland fans. We won
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: five games this year. Praise God. I know we ain't
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: all that, but we damn show acting like it. And
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: as as long as we play teams that ain't five hundred,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: we're gonna warm their ass. Yeah, they got enough about me.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Go ahead, Junior, what do you know? What's there's some
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: other news that happened in sports as weekend. Antonio Brown
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: got another job. Huh yeah, okay, Antonio Brown signed Tampa
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Bay Buccani. Yeah yeah, and um, I just have a
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: four What else happened worse than We're not gonna do that.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: We're not gonna talk about the texting. We wouldn't say
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: this though. I got four words for Antonio Brown. Just
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: just probably gonna help you out this time around in
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the league. Put your phone up. That's it. Don't pull
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: your phone out, don't don't do nothing else. You got
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: a second chance. That good. So I wrote a poem
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: for him to help him. Yeah, this is to helping
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: This is what he should be thinking. Okay, So, Junior,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: So what you said sports is gonna be two segments today? No, no,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: he d haven't we done your team? Ain't ain't we
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: got Cleveland out of the way? Right? Poetry is a
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: different segment, were splitting hairs. Just some poem that I
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: thought Antonio Brown should be thinking about. If he's not
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: thinking these things, he used to start right away, go ahead,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: poem called Antonio Brown. Okay, here we go. Thanks for
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: giving me another chance. Lord knows I really need it.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I threw away a lot of money that was stupid
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: and conceited. I'll shuff for practice all this time, and
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: that's the bet you can bet. I'm standing outside the
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: building now and practice hadn't even started yet. Show car.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: I'll run some errands and do a little cooking too,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: because if I if this up this time, I know
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: my ass is through. So thanks for giving me another chance.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Didn't think I get picked up. Lord, Please help me
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: to do the right thing, and don't if this good
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: job up the end. We'll be back right after this.

- 1:10:35Speaker 1: play Murder the Hits with my buddy Jathony Brown and
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Junior last half for sports. Go ahead, what happened with
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: the Texans? Because I know Tommy wanted to hear we lost.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I know what happened with the yeah buy a lot
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: twenty You just didn't play who to Green Bay Packerston.

- 1:11:16Speaker 1: How the Cowboys keep losing but still number one in
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: their division? How does that happen? It's Houston, It's the
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Texans in their division. No, no, no, no, hey, man,

- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Janathon Brown murdered the hits. Here we go. No, no,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I haven't had it ever heard um. Everybody has seen
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Niche McConnell's hand on any news. Now, first of all,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: let me just say this. I'm not insulting his hand.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: I would never do that because that would be insensitive
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: to sing a song about a man's hand. The song
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: I'm singing is a warning go get checked out. And
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I put the song to the words Bill Withers's Grandma's hand.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: It's called it's called Mitch McConnell's hands. I will sing
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: it acapella. Acapella. M h a r m h m hmmm.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell's hand man. That's some kind of warning, McConnell's
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: hand man. And really don't look well, Mitch McConnell's hand
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: It might fall off in the morning. And I said,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: get someone to look at that fast because it might
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: fall off in the grass. And you'll only have one
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: too wide, your ass mccono. I'll standing, I love it,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: something's wrong and that's waning con man. And really don't
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: little well, condal hand it might fall off in the morning,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: not saying get someone to look at that fast. It
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: might fall up in the grass. And you only have
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: one too wide. You'll only have one too wide, only
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: have one one not to but on, not to but
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: one not you, but to? Why why they can't do

- 1:17:29Speaker 1: my manager Rich Ingle just informed me that I died.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Thank you everyone for everyone reaching out, But I am

- 1:18:37Speaker 1: for real. Try to do the best I can for you,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: But it seems it's not enough. Loser. Oh that I
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: saw her live at the front Row theater. Anybody I
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: wanted her? Hell no see me and Jay Anthony Brown
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: had been the every damn concert on the Dog and
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: it was the only thing to do back then. That
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: was the date Phyllis him and Angela Bofield I saw,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I saw shot Phillis Hammond was cold opened from Mays.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Was my first opening gig, and a friend of mine,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: James Wolfford, gave me two hundred dollars and bought me
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: a linen suit to open for May's Man two hundred
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: and fifty dollars. Gay stole thirty three thousand dollars from me,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: who games wolf much though thirty three thousand. All I
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: had thirty three thousand. Nineteen ninety five told thirty three
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: thousand dollars all I had, all I had, all I had.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: He was a manager my comedy club, coming up into
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: her last break of the day. It is the last
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: break oh the day. We will have no more breaks
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: to day. So don't sit there looking at me coming
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: up and coming up in forty nine minutes after the
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey, you have some special closing
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: remarks today, don't you special? Yeah, I want to We'll

- 1:20:49Speaker 1: get this done. Eight more days, Steve. Absolutely, you know,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: and y'all we really do have to get to these polls.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Go early, make sure you got your business in order.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: This is an important election, you know, We on this show,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: all of us. Shirley Carler kier Jay Tommy, We've all voted.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: We've all spent every single closing remark since the summertime
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: has been dedicated to one thing, to getting our listeners
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: out to the polls to vote. This is so important.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: We've tried every technique, We've we've we've we've asked you
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: to vote, We've given you voter information. Websites are locked
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: up with Adel hugely and Ricky Smiley about this. We're
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: on a united front because we have got to get
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: this country in a better place for us. It has
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: been saddening to me to see the number of black
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: people who come out and actually think and actually have
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: said out loud. This One group was sitting in the
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: White House and told Donald Trump, you're actually our first
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: black president. He said that, just smiling and nodding with
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: that grin on his face. It has been alarming to
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: me when I see commercials, when I see black people
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: on this saying because he cares about people like me.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I don't see any of it. But I found something
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: that I wanted to share with you all in this
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: closing remarks. This is a man named Kevin Muriel. He
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: is a pastor and I think he was speaking or
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: as his church. I'm not really sure, but it was
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Atlanta. He did
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: something and said something in front of a congregation that
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: really moved me and I wanted to share it with you.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: These are my closing remarks today. This is Kevin Muriel
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: from the Cascade United Methodist Church. You praise this president
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: for being pro black. Before you praise this president for
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: caring about ethnic communities and marginalized populations, do your homework. Well,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: some of y'all didn't do your homework. They didn't do
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: their homework, So let me tell you just a little
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: bit of research, not just him personally, but also some
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: of his policies. Perhaps before they went and sat at
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: this table, they should have done their homework, because if
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: they had done their homework, they would have known that
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: President Trump has ramped up mass incarceration by instructing Attorney
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: General Jeff's sessions to revitalize the War on drugs. They
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: would have known that of the eighty seven picks for
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: federal judges, eighty five have been white and just one
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: has been black, and one has been Hispanic. They would
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: have known that President Trump supported the Department of Justice
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: engaging in unlawful border purgase, making it difficult for blacks
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to go and vote. They would have known that Trump
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: is ending protection for predatory lenders, which disproportionately harm black people.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: They would have known that he is ignoring the affordable
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: housing crisis by ordering hud to triple the rits of
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: poor tenants in public housing, which mostly affect black people.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: Do your homework. They would have known that he is
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: proposing cutting two hundred billion dollars over the next ten
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: years from supplemental nutrition assistance programs that will bring more
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: hunger in black and brown communities. They would have known
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: that Trump is worsening the health of black communities through
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: environmental deregulation, which disproportionately harms black people through exposure to pollution.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Now that's just a few on the policy side, but
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: you don't have to go too far to ask. What
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: about him personally would make me know that he is
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: not per black. I'm glad you asked, because in nineteen seventy,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Trump's real estate company tried to avoid rinning apartments to
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: black tenants and gave preferential treatment to white tenants. He
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: began his twenty sixteen presidential campaign with a speech disparging
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists. Y'all remember that in
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: two thousand and sixteen, he said of people of color,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: you are living in poverty, Your schools are no good,
