Latest / The Lila Rose Show / E217: Are Librarians Grooming Your Kids? What Parents Needs to Know w/Karen England | Lila Rose Show
Transcript
- 0:00I really realized that these books are grooming our children.
- 0:04Our dollars are paying for this. If I was to show some of this
- 0:08content to a minor, I would get charged with showing them
- 0:11obscenity. But if a teacher does it or a
- 0:13library does it, it's exempt in 43 states.
- 0:16We're about to look at a whole group of books that are from the
- 0:18kids section and Orange County libraries.
- 0:20This is in the section with books like Owls, How I help set
- 0:24the Table, Dinosaur books. Same section within a foot away.
- 0:27Let's see what these books are. Hey everyone, welcome back to
- 0:33the Lila Rose Show. Today's episode is extremely
- 0:36important. Did you know that there is
- 0:38pornographic material in our Public Library system and our
- 0:42school library systems not just for adults, but for children?
- 0:47I have seen this myself and today's guest has done an
- 0:51incredible job archiving this and cataloguing it for the
- 0:54parents and the concerned citizens of the country.
- 0:57Our guest today is Karen England.
- 0:58She is the president of the Capital Resource Institute, an
- 1:01organization that I admire, that's doing incredible work on
- 1:03the ground to push forward public policy that serves
- 1:06families. You can find Karen's amazing
- 1:09work and her new campaign over at Take Back theclassroom.com
- 1:13and Take Back the community.com. I urge everyone to check out
- 1:16these websites. They're catalogs of the sexually
- 1:19explicit and deviant materials that you can find in your public
- 1:23libraries, the library near you, and the public school classroom
- 1:26libraries as well. Today's episode's going to be a
- 1:28little different, everybody, because we're going to be doing
- 1:30a working episode. It's going to be a workshop.
- 1:32We're going to actually go through the books that you can
- 1:34find in the California library system.
- 1:36Many of these books are available in all 50 States, and
- 1:39you're going to see for yourself what unelected bureaucrats are
- 1:42ideologically motivated, the librarians are putting into our
- 1:45library system. This is something that everybody
- 1:47should know about it. So I urge you to put this
- 1:50episode aside if you're listening to it with children.
- 1:52This is not appropriate for children to hear what we're
- 1:54going to be sharing, but it's essential for everybody who is
- 1:56an adult who cares to learn about and make sure to share
- 1:59this episode because this is a movement that will be
- 2:02unstoppable if the parents and the Big Brothers and sisters of
- 2:06America who care about kids get involved.
- 2:09Also, don't forget, we have just launched our Supercast.
- 2:11Supercast is a special exclusive community.
- 2:13You get access behind the scenes to ask questions of a guest,
- 2:17have them answered on the podcast, and lots of other
- 2:19behind the scenes stuff that's going to be really fun.
- 2:21So you can go check that out over at
- 2:22rosereport.supercast.com. As always, don't forget to
- 2:25subscribe to the show wherever you listen to your podcast.
- 2:28And if you're here on YouTube, make sure you are subscribed and
- 2:30hit that notification bell. All right, Karen, thank you so
- 2:33much for joining the podcast. Oh well, thank you for having
- 2:36me, Lila. It's a it's a delight to see
- 2:37you. Yes, you too long.
- 2:39Time. I know I I've known you now for
- 2:41I think 2 decades. Yes, yes.
- 2:43And you've just been a stalwart fighter.
- 2:45As you, I did start as a teenager.
- 2:47I, I wish I had, but yes. So yeah, we've known each other
- 2:50quite sometime. For those who haven't met you
- 2:53yet, give us a introduction on who is Karen England.
- 2:55And I know you're also a mother of four kids and a homeschool
- 2:58mom, so you have done the gamut of all the important work to
- 3:02help kids. But give us a little background.
- 3:04So I, I'm a mom, we homeschooled our last, our last one because
- 3:09we moved to California and realized that's really the only
- 3:11choice here. And I'm just really passionate
- 3:15about preserving parental rights, the the issues of life,
- 3:19marriage, religious freedom. And I really have gotten drawn
- 3:23into this stopping the sexualization of our kids during
- 3:26Covad. You know, I, I always worked in
- 3:28the sex Ed realm, but I really realized that these, these books
- 3:32are grooming our children and they're there's, it's so deep
- 3:37and wide that we really need to do something about it.
- 3:41So I want this to be a bit of a primer for people and you're the
- 3:44perfect person to do this. So thank you.
- 3:45And our dear friend Kim, shout out to her helping set this all
- 3:48up. There are some really amazing
- 3:50activists on the ground who have been working in this space now
- 3:52for years and years. You, of course, are leading
- 3:54among them. And a lot of people, I think,
- 3:56just don't even realize the the setup of what this looks like.
- 3:59So I want to start with the fact of we have these library
- 4:02systems, right? So there's the Public Library
- 4:04system and then there's the school library systems.
- 4:08Tell us are these tax funded and tell us about the governance
- 4:11structure for the library systems in our States and our in
- 4:14our schools. OK, so this is kind of a
- 4:16general, but the public libraries, which are, you know,
- 4:20county or you know, your, your local library that you take your
- 4:23kids to, those are funded locally and they, well, there is
- 4:28some federal money that comes in, but they are mostly funded
- 4:31locally and governed usually by City Council, County Council
- 4:35just depends on how your local municipality is set up.
- 4:39Public school libraries are governed by the school board,
- 4:44but the librarians get a budget, they pick the books, they order
- 4:49the books, and there is no process that things have to go
- 4:52through. There is no second set of eyes
- 4:55that are watching these books that they are ordering for for
- 4:57our kids. So it's it's really unelected,
- 5:00unaccountable librarians that are and.
- 5:03Where do these librarians? How do they typically get their
- 5:06jobs? What do we know about your
- 5:08typical librarian? Well, because my, you know, you
- 5:11think about the librarian A stereotype, and there's lovely,
- 5:13usually a lady who is just like, wonderful.
- 5:16She's serving the community. And there are of course lovely
- 5:19librarians like that. But when you look at who is
- 5:22selecting the books, tell me about the structure there of who
- 5:24gets to pick which books show up on your library shelves?
- 5:26Well, yes, and it's it's the librarian.
- 5:29And I will say the majority of them now have this.
- 5:32This told me everything here in Huntington Beach when they were
- 5:35saying, I actually have someone quoted saying that the librarian
- 5:38knows better than the mom what books kids need to read.
- 5:42And she said because she has a master's degree.
- 5:44And I was like, oh, that's the problem that in in whatever it
- 5:48is that, you know, these teaching colleges are doing.
- 5:50And so these librarians, all of their additional training comes
- 5:54from the American Library Association, which is a very
- 5:57left-leaning organization that believes in no boundaries for
- 6:02kids should have access to any content they want at any age,
- 6:06and they want to help them access this information.
- 6:11They come from a worldview that believes we are all born sexual.
- 6:14It's the whole Kinsey thing. We are all born sexual.
- 6:16We just need to embrace it, explore it, and they're there to
- 6:21help the kids do that. So the American Library
- 6:23Association that you just mentioned is what is is the
- 6:26group that trains the librarians.
- 6:28Is there a licensing process of any kind or is it more just a
- 6:30training? More just a training and it
- 6:34depends on where you're at what kind of training they are going
- 6:37to require. But they're tied in with the
- 6:39American Library Association. That's the newsletter they get.
- 6:42That's, you know, what counsels them.
- 6:44That's where they, they actually check the American Library
- 6:47Association for their, their book recommendations and their
- 6:50ratings. And I've talked to several
- 6:51librarians. Several have quit recently
- 6:54because they've been I was up in Oregon and they had to quit
- 6:57because they were told in December, they laid out all
- 7:01these indoctrination books, sexual books, and said you've
- 7:03got to order a certain number in these categories with your
- 7:06budget. And she couldn't do it.
- 7:09Her conscience wouldn't allow her.
- 7:10So the Ala, the American Library Association is a far left group
- 7:14that promotes the sexualization of children.
- 7:16Here is on their website, they have a section called
- 7:19Intellectual freedom. They talk about schools and
- 7:21minors rights. Now when I think of children's
- 7:25rights, I think about a child's right to be loved and cared
- 7:28forgiven, the right to life. And the right to be mom and a
- 7:32dad. The right to a mother and a
- 7:33father. These are all true children's
- 7:36rights. This is a real right that
- 7:37children have horribly. There is a set of ideological
- 7:41children's rights that are about access to sexual materials,
- 7:46deciding whether or not you're trans when you're 2 years old, a
- 7:49bunch of insane ideologically driven nonsense.
- 7:52And that even on ALS website here talks about the importance
- 7:57of the minors right to access any and all library resources.
- 8:01I want to read this from the Ala website here.
- 8:04It says library policies and procedures that effectively deny
- 8:09minors equal and that we're trying minors as young as three
- 8:13years old, right, that deny minors equal and equitable
- 8:17access to all library resources available to other users violate
- 8:23the Library Bill of Rights. The American Library Association
- 8:27opposes all attempts to restrict access to library services,
- 8:30materials and facilities. So right here, it's laying the
- 8:34groundwork that if it's if it's available for adults, it should
- 8:37be available for children. Absolutely.
- 8:39And I want to say they're not shy about it.
- 8:41When are we going to believe them that they're actually going
- 8:44to stock our shelves with inappropriate material?
- 8:48They, they can no longer as an institution be blindly trusted
- 8:52like when we were growing up. And, you know, I, I, I think
- 8:56back, I think librarians when we were growing up, I'm a little
- 9:00older than you, Lila. And they were actually volunteer
- 9:04parents, You know, it was kind of governed by the school board.
- 9:09Now it's this, you know, again, as education has grown, it's
- 9:12this entire department and they're doing their own thing
- 9:16and they're stocking our our shelves with really, really
- 9:21inappropriate material for kids. Now, the librarians that you
- 9:24mentioned in Oregon who were saying this is nonsense, you
- 9:27know, my job is to be the, the, the, the guardian of this
- 9:30library to make sure it has the best intellectual materials for
- 9:33the community. This ideologically ideological,
- 9:37pro deviant sex, pro LGBTQ, whatever for children is
- 9:41completely unacceptable. I'm not going to put in my
- 9:43library. You said they lost their jobs.
- 9:45Well, she ended up quitting because she couldn't do it.
- 9:48But she had seen a podcast I had done and was.
- 9:51And then this meeting came, and when she came to see me, because
- 9:54I was speaking a few months later, she was trying because
- 9:58she talked about how much she loved her kids, she loved her
- 10:00library, but she could not obey that order.
- 10:03So what? Just sorry to interrupt, but
- 10:05when you say order, what do you mean?
- 10:06Who was ordering it? Where did it come from?
- 10:09There's usually a district official that overseas the
- 10:11librarian. So it was the district official
- 10:13in that school district, like the head librarian.
- 10:16I don't know what they called it in Oregon, but that sat down all
- 10:19the librarians in the school district and and displayed
- 10:23you've got to have this, this amount of these books, this
- 10:26amount of these books and had them all laid out and said, you
- 10:29know, this is what you have to do.
- 10:31As you may know, porn addiction is on the rise for both women
- 10:34and men. Today, the porn industry is a
- 10:36billion dollar industry praying off of vulnerable men and women.
- 10:40The good news is that there is a solution and our show is proud
- 10:43to partner with covenanteyes.com.

- 11:34So we're going to actually look everybody listening, we're going
- 11:36to actually look at some of these books now.
- 11:38We just had our team, our podcast team go out into Orange
- 11:41County. We're in Southern California
- 11:42right now to your run-of-the-mill library.
- 11:45And these books are available in the children's section in
- 11:48Southern California libraries as we speak, and not just in any
- 11:51children's section. What we're going to look at
- 11:53right here is this is books. This is a little nook in a local
- 11:57library here in Orange County. So this is the section that
- 12:01we're about to show you the books that were in the section.
- 12:03But just to give you a feel for this section, this is the height
- 12:06of maybe a three or four year old you have.
- 12:08I help at home. I can clean my room, fold
- 12:10laundry, set the table and more. Lovely.
- 12:12Sitting right there, you're sitting on the ground.
- 12:13It's it's right there where they can reach.
- 12:15It so cute. This is a book about how to set
- 12:17the table. Here is a book about owls on the
- 12:20hunt with owls. Super cute.
- 12:22Again, I've been to library with my kids.
- 12:24This is so fun. Prehistoric world book about
- 12:26dinosaurs. OK, in the exact same section we
- 12:29have a photo of this in the exact same section as these
- 12:31books literally a foot away you can find these books.
- 12:35So we've got this book. It's called It's Perfectly
- 12:38Normal. Karen, give us a little
- 12:40background on this book before we dive in.
- 12:41Well, it's perfectly not normal. OK, let me let me say that it is
- 12:45drawn in cartoon. It says it's for ages 10 and up,
- 12:48but it's on the ground in the children's for kids for like
- 12:52this is ending up in the in the children's section.
- 12:54But even a 10 year old, this is completely inappropriate.
- 12:57You'll see. Totally inappropriate.
- 12:58Really quick who are these authors?
- 13:00This is Robbie Harris and Michael Elmberry.
- 13:02Any idea about the politics and the background of?
- 13:05These authors far left all, all, all of the, the, these are far
- 13:09left progressive. A lot of them have had sexual
- 13:13trauma. There's just a lot depending on
- 13:15on who it is. But they all believe that,
- 13:17again, kids are sexual and and they believe the Library Bill of
- 13:20Rights. And and you mentioned, I know
- 13:21we're going to get to this. You mentioned Alfred Kinsey
- 13:23earlier. Yes, he is the famous sexologist
- 13:26of the 20. Who was a zoologist?
- 13:29Yes. Who was also a zoologist and he
- 13:32did these really horrific sexual experiments himself that
- 13:37involved sadomasicism. There was an experiment that
- 13:41involved sexually abusing babies that he used as, as, as actual
- 13:46research. It's unclear who conducted that
- 13:48experiment. Was it him or someone else?
- 13:50He kind of anonymized it, but he had a set of infant children and
- 13:55he sexually assaulted them until they screamed and, and he called
- 13:59it, he called it he they screamed.
- 14:01He claimed that they were orgasming infants.
- 14:04They screamed in pain because he was assaulting them sexually.
- 14:07But this was an experiment he used to prove that children are
- 14:09therefore sexual and should have access to sexual content.
- 14:12Absolutely. And he chronicled it.
- 14:14So you can go and thank goodness for Doctor Judith Reisman who
- 14:17uncovered, who uncovered it all because she looked at it and
- 14:21said in his research, how do you know if a three month old has an
- 14:26orgasm or not? It just took some common sense
- 14:28to say how on earth did he come to that conclusion?
- 14:31And she started digging deeper and deeper and deeper and
- 14:35finding out. And that's the start of when our
- 14:38laws started changing because rape started getting less time
- 14:43for rapes. All the sexual assault stuff
- 14:46they started, they used Kinsey to say, well, well, they're
- 14:50impulsive and they're not monogamous.
- 14:52And you know, they're, they're sexual beings like they can't
- 14:56control it. So she also has a book about all
- 14:59the laws that came about as a result of the Kinsey study.
- 15:04But one of the really interesting things that a lot of
- 15:06people don't know about, because people will say, if these were
- 15:09in our libraries, porn isn't there, you'd get arrested.
- 15:12Well, here's the thing. When obscenity laws came out and
- 15:15there was the court case on it, over 43 states went and exempt
- 15:22from obscenity laws, libraries, public schools and universities.
- 15:28So if I was to show this some of this content to a minor, I would
- 15:33get charged with showing them obscenity that is harmful to a
- 15:36minor. But if a teacher does it or a
- 15:38library does it, it's exempt in 43 states.
- 15:42Insane, that's. And that comes back to Kinsey.
- 15:45It's absolutely insane. So let's take a look at this
- 15:48book. It's called.
- 15:49It's perfectly normal. The book is actually, it's
- 15:51horrifically perverted is what this book should be titled.
- 15:55And again, this is I, I want to just say this is not, this
- 15:59should not be political. I think if you take somebody who
- 16:02identifies as Democrat or Republican, somebody who is 1
- 16:05religion versus another, your average parent, I would say 99%
- 16:08of your parents when they take a look at this and you say, would
- 16:10you show this to your, your kid, your young child?
- 16:13They'd say absolutely not. If we're going to have a birds
- 16:15and bees conversation, which of course parents should be having
- 16:18with their kids at time, you know, age appropriate times,
- 16:21that's one thing. Or entrusted adults that they
- 16:23maybe include in that process. Maybe a teacher they may
- 16:25include. But to have this at arms length
- 16:28in our school libraries, unfettered access for kids or
- 16:30public libraries, that's the current status quo.
- 16:33So let's take a look at what's in this book.
- 16:35So I'm going to use your copy because we just earmarked it.
- 16:37So this was in the OC library. This is the book that Karen is
- 16:41exposing here. It's in Huntington.
- 16:43Beach as well. It's they're all over.
- 16:46So let's start with this chapter, the very first part of
- 16:49the book, What is sex? And it talks about how you are
- 16:54not, there's not just boys and girls.
- 16:56That gender is about the thoughts and feelings of a
- 16:59person about being male or female, that people are not
- 17:02necessarily a boy or a girl, that they can be any number of
- 17:06other genders or identities. We're going to get into that
- 17:09soon in the same book. So it starts right off the bat
- 17:12with that. Yeah.
- 17:13So then it goes to this part where it talks about how you can
- 17:17have anal or oral sex, and those are totally normal types of
- 17:22sexual activities alongside intercourse.
- 17:26What did you find to be the most shocking part of this book,
- 17:28Karen? Well, the first of all, that
- 17:31it's for children at all. And that they are, they are
- 17:37telling them really inaccurate information.
- 17:39They, they have the the pictures and the showing about
- 17:42masturbation and how it's, it's perfectly normal and they need
- 17:45to explore their bodies. The graphic pictures.
- 17:49If this was a book about puberty and there was a one picture of a
- 17:52body changing but the rest of it was about puberty wouldn't be so
- 17:56much. But the pictures in here are not
- 17:58intended to be about puberty. It's about sexualizing the kids.
- 18:02They're all very graphic and the intent is not to teach them
- 18:05about puberty. So here's here's a section.
- 18:08It says who you are, straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual,
- 18:12transgender, queer plus. And it says that straight,
- 18:16lesbian, gay and bisexual are words that have to do with
- 18:18sexual desire and sex. It says these are all different
- 18:21identities that you can have. It talks about how this is, you
- 18:24know, a true thing in human history, that everybody has
- 18:27always had these different sexual identities.
- 18:29It talks about transgender. It says transgender is a word
- 18:32that has to do with gender and you can be queer.
- 18:36It says you can be questioning. Again, these are all identities
- 18:39that your 10 year old could have.
- 18:41And then it says, no matter what some people may think, it is
- 18:44important for every person to remember to treat all people
- 18:48with respect. That sounds generally fine, like
- 18:50a good idea. But then it goes on to explain
- 18:53that you can be, you know, a person, anybody out there, and
- 18:57you can be, you're all the same. Whether you're a straight, gay,
- 19:00bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, they're all normal
- 19:03identities. They're all the same.
- 19:05You can pick one, you can be one.
- 19:07It doesn't matter. They're all the same.
- 19:10Let's go to the section on masturbation.
- 19:12Well, and here's the thing, if let's say you're, you're, you're
- 19:16dropping them with your 14 year old and your 6 year old at the
- 19:19library while you run to the store or whatever.
- 19:22Your 14 year old is going to go sit down and.
- 19:25And these are the books that are right there for the 456 year old
- 19:30to open up and start reading, let alone the 9:10 11-12 year
- 19:34old that can read and is reading this stuff.
- 19:36So here's a page called Perfectly Normal Masturbation.
- 19:40Again, this is for kids, and it's saying that you can you can
- 19:45feel sexy. It's saying that you can
- 19:47experience masturbation by touching yourself.
- 19:49It tells you how you can touch yourself.
- 19:51It has images of children masturbating in this book,
- 19:54Children Masturbating, calling this perfectly normal,
- 19:57encouraging it. Here's a section on condoms.
- 20:00It has telling you you can use IU D's again, 10 years old.
- 20:04Even on the chapter it says 10 years old on the on the cover,
- 20:07IU D's Depo Provera birth control pills, male and female
- 20:11condoms, the patch. It shows how to put a condom on.
- 20:14This book, again I'm reminding people, is on the same section
- 20:17as your household chores book, that at the at the arm's length
- 20:21of a four year old. OK, now here's a section on
- 20:25abortion, and it talks about how abortion is there's a right that
- 20:30every woman has to end an unwanted pregnancy.
- 20:34It says there's good reasons to have an abortion.
- 20:37It says that the Supreme Court ruled that this is legal.
- 20:41It says sometimes abortions happen without you even doing it
- 20:45on on purpose. So it completely conflates
- 20:47abortion and miscarriage. Basically they're the same
- 20:50morally. It says females who have
- 20:52miscarriages can usually become pregnant again and give birth to
- 20:54healthy babies. The same is true for females who
- 20:57have chosen to have an abortion. So it's basically saying it's
- 20:59not. They're completely the same.
- 21:01It's completely equalized. There's a whole section on
- 21:03STISSTDS. Sex is usually perfectly healthy
- 21:08and normal, but sometimes sexual activities can be unhealthy.
- 21:11Hair talks about how you should be using contraception in order
- 21:16to have safe sex, so. For 10 year old.
- 21:19The way to avoid getting an STI for a 10 year old is just use a
- 21:22condom. Yep.

- 22:22Absolutely. As the books, as you get older,
- 22:24they really talk about it. I, I found one that's new that I
- 22:27just ordered that talks about how normal it is and how we
- 22:32really everyone gets them. So the message is is the same.
- 22:38As they get older, it changes a little bit, but it's all that.
- 22:41There's nothing to worry about, nothing to worry about at all to
- 22:44get a sexually transmitted disease.
- 22:46There's also a section where it says puberty is a time when
- 22:50friends, even good friends, may try to persuade or pressure each
- 22:53other to try new things. They may involve sex, alcohol or
- 22:55drugs. It says if that's when it's
- 22:57important to make the decision that is best for you, one that
- 23:01is safe and healthy for you. So it's not saying that sex,
- 23:04drugs or alcohol are harmful for you before a certain age or it
- 23:08may be at any point. It's saying that as long as you
- 23:10know what's best for you, you're good.
- 23:12You're good. And what about the, the, the,
- 23:15the 10 or 12 year old girl that's being sexually molested
- 23:18by an uncle and is reading this that oh, it is OK, it is normal.
- 23:25We, I mean, it just is so deceptive and I can't say it
- 23:30enough. They are sexualizing and
- 23:32desensitizing our kids and we're doing the grooming for the sex
- 23:37trafficker. It's it's not the the end result
- 23:40is going to be the desensitization and these kids
- 23:45being, you know, a child of the 60s having sex with anyone,
- 23:48everyone at any time. I think the most real and
- 23:51present danger for your average kid isn't even per SE the sex
- 23:54trafficker, It's just the Internet and the fact that we've
- 23:57so normalized sexual activity for young, young, young, young
- 24:01children, and that's what this is doing.
- 24:03Instead of saying sex is a beautiful thing, it's designed
- 24:06for marriage, tell you more about it as you get older.
- 24:08This is what it is. This is how it's a beautiful
- 24:10part of. Instead of contextualizing sex
- 24:12as part of a relationship, which it is meant to be.
- 24:15It's not this thing that you do solo.
- 24:17It's a relationship you have that brings intimacy that can
- 24:20bring life into the world. Instead, it's saying this is
- 24:23kind of like just an activity, like eating or sleeping.
- 24:26Well, yeah, that's why they do the masturbation.
- 24:27And so when you're not having sex at 10, you can you can
- 24:31masturbate in the same thing. So yeah, they're making that
- 24:33point. But one thing I will say,
- 24:34because we're criticized for saying, well, kids can get it on
- 24:36their phone and all all that, yes, I agree.
- 24:39But taxpayers aren't funding it, and the government isn't giving
- 24:42it to them. So just to be clear, this book
- 24:44is in our public school libraries.
- 24:46We just found it here in Orange County, multiple libraries, and
- 24:50it is tax funded. Taxpayers pay for this and it's
- 24:53available in the same sections that 345 year olds access.
- 24:56Absolutely. Yep.
- 24:59And most more don't even know this.
- 25:01Again, the media comes out with, you know, the the book banner,
- 25:05you know, all the drama and that we just hate gay people.
- 25:08No, I don't want people. I I want to stop them from
- 25:11sexualizing our kids and giving them these messages that are so
- 25:15wrong and repeated in the next grade, in the next grade with
- 25:19the next book and the next book. Karen, tell me about this book.
- 25:22This is on the shelves of Southern California libraries.
- 25:25Where in the library can you find this book?
- 25:27In the children's section, that same lower level where you would
- 25:30just put it up or pick it up, the Everybody book, now again it
- 25:35goes down and it talks about the LGBT inclusive guide, but the
- 25:38Everybody book, somebody might think that, oh, this is just
- 25:41about puberty and open it up. Let's take a look.
- 25:45So here is page 15. This is the first section, Sex
- 25:49and gender, immediately talking about how biological sex has to
- 25:53do with what our bodies are like on the inside, but it doesn't
- 25:56have to do with whatever we feel like a boy or girl or neither.
- 25:59So right there saying that your sex could be something else than
- 26:04what what it is. Yeah.
- 26:05So it's introducing the scientific or puberty.
- 26:09Right. The the, the left wants you to
- 26:11think we're trying to get rid of puberty books.
- 26:13We're not trying to get rid of scientific puberty books.
- 26:16We're trying to get rid of sexually explicit books.
- 26:20OK, so this is the section where this is chapter 5 Love.
- 26:24It's called it calling it love and attraction.
- 26:27It says that there are people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual,
- 26:31pansexual, questioning, or asexual.
- 26:34And it says you might see LGBTQIA with more letters or a
- 26:38plus sign to include even more sexual and gender identities.
- 26:42And then it shows a pride parade with children walking in the
- 26:45parade. Yeah, teaching them to be
- 26:47activists as well. It says some people have a sense
- 26:51of their sexual orientations when they are young.
- 26:53Coming out can be a lifelong process For people who are not
- 26:58heterosexual or cisgender. It says your attraction stays
- 27:02pretty much the same throughout your lives.
- 27:04For some people, other people attraction can be fluid.
- 27:07So this is like the stereotypical by the book LGBTQ.
- 27:10That's what the book is about. It's not about your body.
- 27:12It's about propaganda and. So here's a section on sexual
- 27:17intercourse. It has like 2 kind of
- 27:19ambiguously sexually ambiguous guys looks like two men sleeping
- 27:23together to introduce the idea of sex, 2 lesbians together to
- 27:26introduce the idea of sex. And it talks about how you can
- 27:29have sex with people of all different, different, you know,
- 27:34the same sex. Let's go to the section here on
- 27:37pregnancy. It talks about people who can
- 27:41get pregnant so there's no mention of a mother.
- 27:47It says trans men and non binary people with uteruses can get
- 27:52pregnant too. A person is pregnant once the
- 27:55group of cells arrives in the womb and starts to grow.
- 27:59So it's not even a baby, it's just a group of cells but you
- 28:02are a man. But a man can get pregnant
- 28:05according to this very scientific book.
- 28:07Then it talks about abortion. It says some people see is there
- 28:11a medical and surgical ways that people can end a pregnancy
- 28:14called abortion. Some people have very strong
- 28:17feelings, but ending a pregnancy is a very personal decision.
- 28:21So already you can end up you can kill a baby, it's not a big
- 28:24deal. That's what you want to do.
- 28:27Here is a page where it shows a man who is pregnant and just
- 28:32like standard idea here woman pregnant, man pregnant, same
- 28:36thing, no biggie. And this isn't even the context
- 28:39to talk about pregnant men. It just has it's it's educating
- 28:42them about twins. And so of course, just use a man
- 28:44who's pregnant for that. There's a press segment here on
- 28:47birth and they look like they chose somebody who looks like a
- 28:50man for birth, I think intentionally here.
- 28:54So they're probably trying to show like this is a trans man.
- 28:57What about this section? What do we have here, Karen?
- 29:00Oh well, safer sex because every five year old needs to know
- 29:02about contraceptions and contraception and it's it's all
- 29:06about again, contraceptions and their cartoon drawings and
- 29:11promoting all forms of contraception.
- 29:13Again, that sex is for your pleasure and you can have it
- 29:19anytime, anywhere. Just just use protection.
- 29:23And it instructs people to ask other people what pronouns they
- 29:27use. It says if you're not sure
- 29:29whether someone, this is in a section called respecting each
- 29:32other. It says if you're not sure
- 29:33whether someone uses he or she or they, you can always just ask
- 29:36what their preferred pronouns are.
- 29:39So this is a book that is in the kids section in libraries.
- 29:42This is in libraries across the country as well.
- 29:44Across the country and in public school libraries.
- 29:48We're about to look at a whole group of books that are from the
- 29:51kids section and Orange County libraries.
- 29:53This is in the section with books like owls help at help,
- 29:58how to help at home. You know, clearly it's targeting
- 30:01very young children here. Little boy how I help set the
- 30:03table dinosaur book same section within a foot away.
- 30:07Let's see what these books are. All right, so we've got what is
- 30:14this one, Karen? Have you seen this one before?
- 30:16Well, I haven't seen that one, but they're they're all pretty
- 30:19much the same of the ones that I've gone through and we've gone
- 30:21through hundreds and hundreds of these books and it's all
- 30:26propaganda, normalizing, desensitizing kids and very pro
- 30:32LGBTQ and plus plus. So this one is called Love Has
- 30:37No Limits, pride and inspirational history of the
- 30:39LGBTQ plus movement. Starting with this guy who says
- 30:44if I had the opportunity to have all this knowledge at a young
- 30:49age, I would have had a greater appreciation for the queer
- 30:52heroes that have paved the way for us.
- 30:54Yes, the queers that yeah, they're, they are the heroes in
- 30:57all of these, these stories. And actually, they're all very
- 31:00negative about fathers, about traditional households and and
- 31:09marriages. And they actually, when they
- 31:11show a heterosexual couple with a kid, the other pictures on
- 31:16there far outweigh what a traditional family looks like.
- 31:22Hallow is the number one Christian prayer app in the
- 31:24world. It's been downloaded 10 million

- 31:49And that's why prayer is an essential part.
- 31:51It should be an essential part of all of our days.
- 31:53Hallow App is designed to help you pray and help you meet the
- 31:56demands of your day and listen and discern the voice of God in

- 32:04hallow.com/lila. You'll get three months free and
- 32:07use this incredible tool to deepen your relationship with
- 32:10God. Here's a demonization of
- 32:13Margaret Thatcher page. On page 87, Margaret Thatcher
- 32:16loudly voiced her opposition to LGBTQ plus rights, Talks about
- 32:22how Margaret Satcher said children are being taught that
- 32:24they have an inalienable right to be gay.
- 32:27And it says that they ultimately had to stand up against her and
- 32:31her Conservative government. Lesbian activists repelled into
- 32:35the House of Lords chamber from a viewing gallery, handcuffing
- 32:38themselves to ATV camera. More than 20,000 protesters
- 32:41marched in Manchester and actor Ian Sir Ian McKellen came out as
- 32:45gay in order to voice his fury. So this is celebrating the
- 32:49people that stood up to that yeah, bigot Margaret Thatcher in
- 32:52their view and. So it tells you how far back
- 32:54this goes that they have been working at indoctrinating our
- 32:58kids with these ideas, with using our taxpayer dollars from
- 33:03way, you know, Margaret Thatcher days.
- 33:06Here they have Ezra Lee, age 21, identifies as transgender male,
- 33:11and they're featuring this person as a hero, a queer hero.
- 33:16Pride to me, feels Herring. Feeling happy with my identity,
- 33:20I explored my identity and it says having been on hormone
- 33:23therapy for over a year, I'm now reaching the point where I pass
- 33:26in public and people think that's a man.
- 33:29It brings me an insane amount of euphoria.
- 33:30So this is the person who's really struggling and they're
- 33:32being shown as a role model for people in this book for a hero.
- 33:36OK, so again, kids section, let's just see really quick.
- 33:39We've got rebel girls celebrate pride.
- 33:42So girl power Laverne Cox is in this book, Lauren Esposito all
- 33:47of these kind of LGBTQ ask activists that they're.
- 33:52Yeah, they might see on TV or or out there and they're promoting
- 33:56them as, you know, girl power. Here's another one.
- 33:58Sex is a funny word. It says what?
- 34:01Tell us about this book, Karen. Again, it's it's just like it's
- 34:04perfectly normal and cartoon pictures that are promoting
- 34:08again in the children's section, everything from masturbation,
- 34:13contraception, have sex with anyone.
- 34:16It's your body, your choice, and and they do it with cartoon
- 34:21characters because if they were to do it with real people, it
- 34:24would be considered kiddie porn. But if they draw the cartoons of
- 34:29kids, it's not considered kiddie porn.
- 34:32And that's how they get around that distinction in law.
- 34:35So this goes through. Obviously it's using cartoons
- 34:38for the whole thing, but it has some messages in here that seem
- 34:43pretty innocuous about how bodies are good isn't what makes
- 34:47you a boy. Having a vulva isn't what makes
- 34:50you a girl. The truth is much more
- 34:51interesting than that. Only boys?
- 34:55What about the only boys and girls?
- 34:56What about the rest of us? Are there more than two
- 34:59different kinds of people? Wait, what?
- 35:01Let's go. Are you a boy or a girl?
- 35:05When the baby is born, the midwife or the doctor say it's a
- 35:08boy or it's a girl. But that's not always the case.
- 35:12It's saying it says that. That's based on our outside our
- 35:15cover and who they think we are. But who do we think we are?
- 35:21And it goes on to say. That we might think we are the
- 35:25opposite sex and that's would be then who we are.
- 35:28Maybe you're called a boy, but you know you're a girl.
- 35:31You know how girls are treated and what they do.
- 35:34Maybe you're called a girl but you feel you're a boy.
- 35:38Part of being a kid is learning what you like and don't like.
- 35:41Think about how damaging. That is to tomboys so insidious.
- 35:45To tomboys. I've met so many.
- 35:48I have friends that say I am so glad this, I was not introduced
- 35:52to this because I wanted to be a boy.
- 35:54I had all brothers. I played sports.
- 35:56I you know, that's just who they were.
- 35:59And if you have a. Child who wants to who's a boy
- 36:02who wants to wear pink, instead of saying, well, that makes you
- 36:04a girl, let them wear, let them, let them wear pink.
- 36:07Or if they're attracted to something that is more feminine,
- 36:10stereotypically feminine activity, that doesn't mean
- 36:12they're not a boy. It means they're a boy attracted
- 36:14to more stereotypically feminine activity.
- 36:16And and to let it be. Let that be if they pick up a
- 36:19doll. Of their sisters or play with
- 36:21their sister in the doll. That doesn't make them gay or
- 36:24the other gender this talks about.
- 36:27Touching other people, it says do you like to be touched or do
- 36:31not like to be touched? So basically if you like the
- 36:33touch then you should go for it. If you don't like the touch then
- 36:36you should not go for it. Which is again super insidious
- 36:39to say. Well, if you like how something
- 36:41feels, then it must be a good feeling.
- 36:43Which is. Honestly, molesters use that
- 36:46approach all the time, so. It's very.
- 36:49Use that attention. That they naturally want, and
- 36:54the groomers and the molesters use that in that kind of way.
- 36:59There's a section. About masturbation and it says
- 37:03touching yourself is one way to learn about yourself, your body
- 37:05and your feelings and you can make you feel warm and tingly.
- 37:08grown-ups call this kind of touch masturbation.
- 37:11Do you know if there are rules in your family about touching
- 37:13yourself? If there are rules, do they make
- 37:15sense to you? So this is from a boy who I
- 37:20believe is a victim of sexual child abuse.
- 37:22He is called Desmond is Amazing and his parents claim that he
- 37:26likes drag. And it's a book celebrating this
- 37:29boy who's been dressed as a drag queen since a very young age.
- 37:33And so this book is all to celebrate him.
- 37:36My parents allow me to explore dressing up and creating
- 37:38colorful characters like RuPaul. I should be proud.
- 37:43It talks all about LGBTQ pride in here.
- 37:45It talks all about his character and how he likes to dress up
- 37:51terms lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, gender, non
- 37:54conforming, gender fluid. Sources at the end, Barack
- 37:58Obama. Let's see who are the sources at
- 38:01the end here It says sources Barack Obama from a speech I
- 38:09guess he gave in 2009. OK, tell us about this book.
- 38:13Wait, what? It's the same thing.
- 38:15It's. The transgender gay love your
- 38:18body, feel your body. This actually has cartoon
- 38:21pictures that they're they're really helping the child by
- 38:24creating little coloring instructions for them where they
- 38:27have half a penis drawn, half a vagina drawn and encourage you
- 38:31to draw the other half in color again.
- 38:33Where can we find? This book kids sections and.
- 38:35Books and and public in the public schools.
- 38:38So again, this. We might blur this out, but you
- 38:41can. It actually has a coloring page
- 38:43for drawing penises and vaginas. Then it over here has a page
- 38:48where it talks about how trans girls like me, whose sense of
- 38:51gender isn't the same as the sex the doctor said I was when I was
- 38:53born, are just as real as girls like Alexis and Malia.
- 38:56That's also true about trans boys.
- 38:58So the characters in this book are three girls.
- 39:00One of them, they say, is a trans girl.
- 39:03Here we go. How do you know when you're
- 39:04ready for sex? When I want to be sexual with a
- 39:07partner in the 1st place. When I have access to sexual
- 39:10health information and safer sex supplies, when my future love
- 39:14and I have respect and trust for each other, then you know you're
- 39:17ready to have sex. You have condoms and you want to
- 39:19do it. That is what it's telling your
- 39:20children. So go for it.
- 39:22Most things people call. Sex, like oral sex or
- 39:24intercourse, comes with both risks and responsibilities.
- 39:27Most people who are 1113 or even 15 probably aren't going to be
- 39:31able to manage all of that. Yeah, I guess pregnancy could be
- 39:35a risk. You guess.
- 39:38It says. Yeah, I get it.
- 39:40It's about being knowledgeable, cautious and prepared.
- 39:43So provided you are knowledgeable and cautious and
- 39:45prepared and you're 11 years old, then you're it's up to you.
- 39:50It's up to you. You've been being told the.
- 39:52Story about all the different contraceptions to be safe so
- 39:55that you can be ready at 10/11/13 to have sex so Karen I
- 39:59think. That your average parent who
- 40:01learns about this likes to think this is just not happening to my
- 40:05kids. This is some conspiracy theory
- 40:08that some activists are making a big kerkuffle about, and it's
- 40:12really not so bad. And some parents, maybe they
- 40:14have really great relationships with their local public school
- 40:18teachers or their local librarian.
- 40:19And there are some amazing public school teachers and some
- 40:22amazing public librarians. So in the mix of all that, it
- 40:25can be easy to not see this. Why is it so important for
- 40:32parents to know this information?
- 40:33Well, you need to know for a couple.
- 40:35Of reasons. First of all, we are funding it.
- 40:38Our dollars are paying for this and if you know about this and
- 40:42that our tax dollars are paying for it, I believe we're somewhat
- 40:44complicit. Not everyone has to become me,
- 40:46but you need to be aware of it. You can go to your online, you
- 40:51can check and see what's at your local Public Library.
- 40:54You can look up and see if it's perfectly normal.
- 40:56The Everybody book, you can literally see if it's in the
- 41:00children's section or you can go in and look at them.
- 41:03We've put a website together that has called it Take Back the
- 41:06Classroom Calm and it has the books.
- 41:09So you can go to that website, look at your state, look at your
- 41:13school district, look at your school and look up the books
- 41:17that are in your school that are we call it pervasively vulgar
- 41:20and all of these are in there. We have excerpts.
- 41:24We have the school that it's in. You can we have lists of
- 41:28excerpts. It's not a one off.
- 41:30We're not talking about opposing a book on puberty.
- 41:35It's stuff that is pervasively vulgar and they're they're
- 41:40they're spending our tax dollars on this.
- 41:42Our kids are getting, you know, they're getting it on their
- 41:44phones, they're getting it in TV, but we aren't paying for it
- 41:48as taxpayers. These are our public schools,
- 41:51our public libraries, and that should represent our community
- 41:55well. And I think that there.
- 41:56Is a profound difference between a book that's truly educational
- 41:59about how the body works and about, you know, sexual
- 42:04relationship and what the correct context is for that.
- 42:07But I think it's another thing all together to put a overt,
- 42:11dark, very sexually deviant ideology on top of sex and make
- 42:15that the entree way for children to learn about this.
- 42:18And the fact that it's in kids sections and it's not something
- 42:20that they're inviting the parents to be part of.
- 42:22That's literally available for truly a four year old to pick up
- 42:25in books where four children do pick up 4 year olds.
- 42:27And it's designed, I mean, it's designed for young children.
- 42:30It is incredibly insidious. It's incredibly insidious.
- 42:35Satan is very crafty. There's numbers to today about
- 42:41how many children are identifying as trans.
- 42:44So apparently now the numbers have spiked.
- 42:47Over 3% of high school students are identifying as transgender.
- 42:51And I think the latest numbers are that a fourth to sometimes
- 42:55even 1/3 of school aged children are identifying as LGBTQ and we
- 43:01wonder why. We wonder why, and it's because
- 43:04not just the curriculum, but we've been in everything they
- 43:07read and pick up at school and in the libraries, It's it's
- 43:12giving them that message. And if adults are allowing that
- 43:15message to be given and the government's giving that
- 43:17message, it's OK to the kids because we tell the kids to
- 43:21listen to other adults. And, you know, not necessarily
- 43:24trust your government, but be respectful and respect your
- 43:28elders. And then then we've got them
- 43:30pushing this on our kids. Governor Gavin Newsom.
- 43:33Here in California has said that, oh, this is book banning,
- 43:37trying to remove these books from public libraries.
- 43:39He calls it book banning. And he kind of, I think pulls on
- 43:42something that is important to most people and I know to both
- 43:45of us, which is freedom of speech, you know, the importance
- 43:48of education and not having, you know, over agendas in education.
- 43:53But the same people arguing for against, they're calling it book
- 43:58banning. They are arguing for overt
- 44:00agendas. Because I think what people
- 44:01don't realize is there is an agenda, there is a book list
- 44:04that these school systems and these public libraries have.
- 44:07And these are the books on the list.
- 44:08Yep. And they are the ones promoting
- 44:11and pushing this on the taxpayer, taxpayer dime.
- 44:13Yeah. And and then they then.
- 44:15They want to claim that we're starting a culture war.
- 44:17No, you started the culture war. We're just saying we don't want
- 44:21our kids to have access to this in a public space.
- 44:24We want it moved to the adult sector or you know, we don't
- 44:27want minors to have access to it.
- 44:29There is no reason for these books that are pervasively
- 44:33vulgar to be in any public school exposing any minor at the
- 44:38age of 18 and under. It just doesn't belong there.
- 44:40There's no good reason for it. There's no a lot of times
- 44:43they'll come back and say, Oh well, that that rape scene, very
- 44:46graphic right now. It was germane to the story.
- 44:48So it was really good for the 14 year old to read.
- 44:51No, it's never appropriate. I don't care what story it's
- 44:54supposed to be germane to graphic sex abuse.
- 44:58Rape scenes don't belong in the minds of any of our minor
- 45:03children. There is a A.
- 45:05Case to be made that when you expose minor children to graphic
- 45:10sex scenes whether they're drawn in a in a book or they are
- 45:14written about in a book it is a form of grooming because you're
- 45:18normalizing sexual abuse or sexual activity for a very young
- 45:22child that should not have that normalized to them is totally
- 45:24age inappropriate and it opens up sort of a sense of yes
- 45:28normalization and also even curiosity in a child that
- 45:31provokes that in them so then ultimately make them get
- 45:35involved they can feel like it's normal for them to get involved
- 45:37in sexual activity in a premature way which is deeply
- 45:40harmful for them yeah and that's that is what they're.
- 45:42Telling them, I mean, all of the books that you brought up and
- 45:45how they talk about masturbation, I mean, that is
- 45:48what these books are doing. And we wonder why those numbers
- 45:51you just read are so high. Well, it's because the messages
- 45:54all of this consistently, not a one off consistently we are
- 45:59telling our children they're. They're they're hearing it in.
- 46:031st grade they're seeing it in second grade, they're seeing it
- 46:05in 3rd grade, they're seeing it at the Public Library they're
- 46:07seeing at the library at the school they're being assigned it
- 46:09in in 8th or 9th grade English. They're I mean all of this this
- 46:13book was assigned for a 14. Well there was a list Red
- 46:20County, Clarksville, TN, RedState.
- 46:23This along with other books that the Ala put out as banned books.
- 46:28They were their assignment was to read the books and and do a
- 46:32presentation on why they shouldn't be banned and how
- 46:37banning books is bad. Meaning anything your parent
- 46:40wants you not to read. This book was on there.
- 46:44So what's the published date of that book, Karen?
- 46:46This. 10 It's the 20th anniversary right there.
- 46:50Now these have been around, this has been going on and we have
- 46:53not been paying attention and it was COVID that really opened it
- 46:57up. So this is according.
- 46:59To the CDC, it says that high school students, 12.2% identify
- 47:04as bisexual, 5% as questioning, 4% as other, 3% as gay or
- 47:09lesbian, and 2% so they didn't understand the question.
- 47:12We're talking over 20% of high school students identifying as
- 47:15LGBTQ. The CDC says the number of LGBTQ
- 47:19students went from 11% in 2015 to now a full 26% in 2021.
- 47:25Yeah, that is not. A natural thing to happen that
- 47:28is because we've allowed this influence into our kids lives
- 47:33with our tax payer dollars. Karen, tell us what's happening
- 47:36in. Huntington Beach right now, so
- 47:38Huntington Beach. They have a City Council that
- 47:41was very proactive and went on the offense and said, hey, in
- 47:45our public libraries because the City Council governs over the
- 47:49librarian, police fire, all of that.
- 47:52They said, you know, these books are inappropriate in the kids
- 47:55section. So the stuff that's
- 47:56inappropriate in the kids section, we want it moved up to
- 47:59the 4th floor adult section and you must have a parent's
- 48:02permission to check it out. That's all they did.
- 48:06The ACLU came in and sued them. I would just say take them out
- 48:08of the library. Entirely Well they don't it's
- 48:10propaganda books. They don't belong there.
- 48:11You're saying all they did was bump them to the more mature
- 48:14section and just say you need parents permission to check them
- 48:17out. Yes.
- 48:17And so the. ACLU came in and there's a
- 48:20lawsuit, but then they came in, the ACLU and the Ala came in and
- 48:24put a referendum on the ballot so the people can vote to
- 48:29overturn that. Protecting the kids hearts and
- 48:33minds and protecting parental rights.
- 48:34They want to overturn what City Council did, and they even took
- 48:38it a step further. So Measure A is what they're
- 48:41calling it. They want Measure A would allow
- 48:44all these books back in the kids section wherever the librarian
- 48:47wants to put them, but they're all in in the kids section.
- 48:49And then Measure B, they came up with something convoluted
- 48:53because this, the district isn't trying this, but they're saying
- 48:56that they're trying to privatize the library.
- 48:58They're not. But it also takes the authority
- 49:01to govern over the librarian away from City Council.
- 49:05I mean, Can you imagine that to just have police or fire with no
- 49:08accountability, just do their own thing?
- 49:10And that's what would happen if these pass.
- 49:12And so we're we're urging a no vote.
- 49:15So I want to show. Facebook post from trustee Gina
- 49:18Clayton tarvin so Huntington Beach school trust school
- 49:22district trustee yes, it's I think it's.
- 49:24Ocean view or ocean view? You're right.
- 49:26She. Says vote yes on measures A&B.
- 49:29And this is how they're framing it.
- 49:31They're saying, and you just described that Measure A takes
- 49:34the power away from the duly elected City Council members to
- 49:37ensure that these pornographic books and sexually explicit
- 49:39books are not available in the kids section.
- 49:41That's what they're trying to do.
- 49:42They're unanimous on this front. And these groups, far left
- 49:46liberal activist groups like ACLU, are challenging it.
- 49:48They get these two measures on the ballot for the public,
- 49:50Measure A and Measure B Fair enough.
- 49:52Let the people vote to protect children.
- 49:55This is how they are messaging these measures in Huntington
- 49:58Beach, CA to mislead the public about what they actually would
- 50:02do. Measure A, which is designed to
- 50:05rest the power of protecting children from the City Council
- 50:08and give it to the unelected bureaucrat of the librarian,
- 50:12who's in this case a far leftist who wants this junk in the in
- 50:15the in the Public Library. This is how they're they're
- 50:18describing Measure A. Yes, on Measure A Measure A
- 50:21protects parents rights. How does it do that?
- 50:25It says Measure A gives. Families, not politicians, the
- 50:28right to decide what their child can read.
- 50:30No, it it. It doesn't.
- 50:32It's exactly the opposite. It it opens a a door wide open
- 50:36to let them read anything at any time, just like the American
- 50:39Library Association wants them to do, and takes any sort of
- 50:43redress or recourse away from the parent who says I don't want
- 50:48my child to have access to this. It's exactly the opposite.
- 50:52It says Measure A keeps. Our Kids Safe Measure A protects
- 50:55Huntington Beach students and children from indoctrination.
- 50:58Keep it. We just showed.
- 51:01Tell me everybody. Indoctrination or not, my thing
- 51:04is, is it is. It puberty horn or propaganda
- 51:08and only the puberty books are legit in this area, but the
- 51:13propaganda all of that does not belong being pushed in our
- 51:16public and then again this is. How misleading the messaging is
- 51:19Again, the correct answer is no on measure A to let these books
- 51:24be not available in the kids section.
- 51:26But it says that measure A. Again, this is the misleading
- 51:29advertising they're using. Measure A would stop government
- 51:31overreach, says measure A prevents the politicization of
- 51:34Huntington speech public libraries.
- 51:36Yeah, because they don't like what the.
- 51:37Elected officials did by allowing parents to be the final
- 51:41decider on what books their children have access to.
- 51:45Karen, how can? People get involved in.
- 51:48First of all, let's start with Huntington Beach.
- 51:50If you're in Huntington Beach, what should people be doing
- 51:51right now? Well, you can go to.
- 51:53Take back the community.com sign up for our emails and we are
- 51:57Take back the community or take back the.
- 51:58Classroom take back the community is.
- 52:00One that deals with the Public Library.
- 52:02Take back the classroom is in the public schools and so we
- 52:04actually developed the site just for Huntington Beach because
- 52:07Huntington Beach is Ground Zero. Politico wrote about it.
- 52:11This is where if they win this battle here, they're going to
- 52:14take this battle everywhere and and they're going to initiate it
- 52:17with lies, misleading measure ballot measures.
- 52:21And they are they are going to make sure that the shelves are
- 52:24lined with even even more of these, especially because they
- 52:28also hate the current president, many of them.
- 52:30And so and I mean, they're just they're fighting at the local
- 52:33level like crazy. So go to take back the
- 52:35community.com set up, get get on our e-mail list.
- 52:39We have tool kits there. We have frequently asked
- 52:42questions. We talk about how do you handle
- 52:44the objections? We show the books that are in
- 52:47the Huntington library with A tag that shows it's in the
- 52:49Huntington Beach library for children.
- 52:52So we put all the proof out there to let everybody decide
- 52:56for themselves. And still, if somebody wants
- 52:59their minor child to have access to all of this, they still can
- 53:03at the library. We're just saying keep this
- 53:06stuff out of it, out of the hands of the kids, unless the
- 53:09parent says, I, I want my child to have this.
- 53:11That is true parental rights. And so Huntington Beach is
- 53:15important because this is this is where they want to set their
- 53:19mark and then take this template all around the country and
- 53:23they'll do it with lies. And so Huntington Beach is
- 53:25important. But I'm encouraging people, you
- 53:29can look up on your County Library.
- 53:31You can go to Huntington Beach Library and you can look up the
- 53:33books. You can see where they are.
- 53:35You can see if they're in the youth section, adult section,
- 53:37minor section. You can go to our website and
- 53:41read the excerpts. You decide if I'm full of
- 53:44hyperbole and if I'm, you know, clutching my pearls and just
- 53:47being, being overly prudish, I'm not.
- 53:52And, and I encourage you to go to the website and look at what
- 53:55we are talking about. Just what you showed here.
- 53:58We have from the actual books, we have over almost 400 on our,
- 54:03our website now. And in doing Huntington Beach,
- 54:07I've just found like 3-3 more. And I'm one of the leading, you
- 54:11know, book person in the country.
- 54:14And just in the last two weeks, as I've been working on this
- 54:16campaign, I have three more books that are like, wow, we've
- 54:19got a. These are everywhere.
- 54:21Yeah. So take back the classroom.
- 54:23Dot com take back the community.com and any parent or
- 54:28any person can go to the sites and see the books that are in
- 54:32your library and in your and in the public school classrooms.
- 54:34Absolutely, yeah. What do you think every?
- 54:37Parent and person should be doing right now in terms of once
- 54:41they find out that there's something bad, you know this
- 54:44content is in their school library or in their Public
- 54:47Library. What should they do to take
- 54:48action they need to take? Action first by educating
- 54:52themselves on what the current policy is it usually to remove a
- 54:56book. It's usually filling out some
- 54:59sort of form complaint and turning it over to the
- 55:01librarian. And the librarian comes back and
- 55:03says, Oh, well, we thought this is still really good.
- 55:06Then you'll probably have it take it to City Council or the
- 55:08school board and we will help you with that.
- 55:10I mean, that's why we've created handouts with excerpts of all of
- 55:14this so that you can take it to the school board and say, OK,
- 55:17school board, do you think this is OK for our five year old?
- 55:21And if they do, you probably want to vote them out of office.
- 55:24And if they don't, then you want to back them running for office.
- 55:28So this is what really needs to be done.
- 55:30It it is up to us. No one's going to go protect our
- 55:32kids. The the librarian and the
- 55:35American Library Association want our kids to have these
- 55:39books. I mean, you, you read it from
- 55:41the American Library Association.
- 55:43Kids should have access to everything, everything in the
- 55:47Public Library. This is such.
- 55:49An amazing resource that you've created.
- 55:51Karen, thank you so much. This is something specific for
- 55:53Huntington Beach, but I know you have this for really any
- 55:56community. This the information is
- 55:57available on the websites take back theclassroom.com, take back
- 56:00the community.com. You have really you've you've
- 56:03gone through the hard work of cataloguing all this insanity
- 56:07and it's not just the books we discussed in today's interview.
- 56:10There's there's truly hundreds of more books.
- 56:13Many of them are directed towards teen like teen dramas or
- 56:16teen romance books with explicit sexual scenes as you referenced
- 56:21earlier and not just one. Pervasively vulgar is the
- 56:25threshold we use for our website, which means it's not a
- 56:29one off. It's not just the first
- 56:31paragraph you're reading, it's throughout the book, Karen.
- 56:35I'm so grateful for the work that you're doing.
- 56:37It's really heroic. And I think again with parents
- 56:40knew and people knew, not just parents, anybody knew about
- 56:43this. Everyone agrees this is crazy.
- 56:48One more question for you, why do you think it has gotten to
- 56:51this point? What's your theory on that?
- 56:54That our libraries and our school libraries are full of
- 56:57this kind of content and everyday parents just don't even
- 57:00know. Well, again, this is.
- 57:02Twenty 20th year edition. So this stuff has been around.
- 57:05I think it has increased and I do think it's kind of started
- 57:08during the Obama administration and when he first did the stuff
- 57:11on Title 9. And I think there's just more of
- 57:14a big push. I think there's a lot of people
- 57:18that have become apathetic and have not wanted to speak up
- 57:20because they don't want to be called a book banner or you
- 57:23know, I'm called it what? My name is Karen and I'm called
- 57:25it Karen. I don't care.
- 57:27I don't care. I'm going to protect these kids.
- 57:29I'm dedicated to stopping the sexualization of our kids.
- 57:33These are taxpayer funds. I'm doing it.
- 57:36My tax dollars are buying these books and I've got to stop it.
- 57:40And so I want to help anyone that wants to go in file the
- 57:44challenge. We want to provide you the
- 57:46materials to do that. It it has gotten this bad
- 57:49because we've kind of taken a step back.
- 57:51And I think this last election, whether you like him or not, I
- 57:55think people started to wake up and go, OK, my voice does
- 57:58matter. I can speak what I believe.
- 58:00And so I think people are starting to get more engaged,
- 58:04but I think they've been lied to.
- 58:05And Lila, I, I, I think the church has been apathetic too.
- 58:10So I, I, I have a real frustration with the church
- 58:13where sex and sexuality belong to the church and belong to God.
- 58:17They don't belong to the government and the public school
- 58:19libraries and, and the church I think in general has really
- 58:23taken a step back and they are not equipping our parents and
- 58:26they are not calling this stuff out.
- 58:28I encourage youth pastors to start getting involved because
- 58:31they're dealing with these and the kids that are being
- 58:35sexualized and, and, and naturally as a teenager confused
- 58:38about sexuality at different times with their hormones and
- 58:41they're getting the wrong message.
- 58:43And we need to be the ones that come in and protect them and
- 58:45give them the right message. Karen, thank you.
- 58:47So. Much for your work on this
- 58:49front. Where can everybody go?
- 58:50Remind us the websites again. Take back the classroom.
- 58:53Dot com and take back the community.com.
- 58:56Amazing. And thank you, Lila for.
- 58:58Giving this the platform because I believe if people knew, they
- 59:02would do something about it. They just don't know.
- 59:04Thank you so much. I want to usher a special
- 59:07challenge and encouragement to everybody listening.
- 59:10You have a Public Library near you, whether you're in
- 59:12California or not, and I want to encourage everyone, especially
- 59:15those that go to the library with their kids, to go to the
- 59:18library and see what books are in your children's section.
- 59:22If you can go to the library, see what's in your children's
- 59:25section. If you see any propaganda books
- 59:28like those that are on this table promoting LGBTQ plus IA
- 59:31ideologies, promoting pornographic sexually deviant
- 59:34materials, take a photo. You can hold the book in your
- 59:37hand with the library, you know, but wall of library books behind
- 59:40you, take a photo. I would love to start a movement
- 59:44of parents spreading awareness to other parents and just other
