- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, now come on. Digny one and only.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show one more time partner,
- 2:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, How amazing is that?
- 2:20Speaker 1: How good has God been to me? How good has
- 2:24Speaker 1: he been to you? Just check yourself sometimes, just sit up.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Just let's run a survey. Just look at your life,
- 2:31Speaker 1: where it's at. It might not be where you want
- 2:34Speaker 1: it to be, but that's probably some decisions you made.
- 2:36Speaker 1: But really, though, in spite of all the crazy mistakes
- 2:41Speaker 1: I didn't made, I mean, man, I look back at
- 2:46Speaker 1: some of the decisions I didn't came up with, and
- 2:48Speaker 1: and man, it's it's it's just amazing He let me live.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's and and and to exist the
- 2:54Speaker 1: way I exist. That's nothing but grace, mercy, favor. All
- 2:59Speaker 1: that is. That's what my mama praying for me when
- 3:01Speaker 1: I wasn't praying for myself. It had to be it, because, man,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I can truly tell you I have made enough mistakes man,
- 3:10Speaker 1: stuff you would never even know about, and recovered from
- 3:13Speaker 1: them all you can too, and I don't care what
- 3:18Speaker 1: you've done. Marvin Sapp has a song out that says
- 3:21Speaker 1: he saw the best in me when everyone else around
- 3:25Speaker 1: me could only see the worst in me. You know
- 3:29Speaker 1: that that's an important song man, especially you know. I
- 3:33Speaker 1: want to talk to men today because man, being a
- 3:40Speaker 1: man is so so difficult. Please know it has been
- 3:46Speaker 1: my quest ever since I was a little boy. My
- 3:48Speaker 1: father had one ambition, son, I don't care what you do,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but when I get through raising you, you will be
- 3:57Speaker 1: a man. That's all I want you to be. And
- 3:59Speaker 1: he never care what I did for a living, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: it never made a difference to him. You're going to
- 4:04Speaker 1: be a man. Manhood is difficult. Now, ladies, just listening
- 4:07Speaker 1: to this, I'm not saying womanhood ain't. I don't know
- 4:11Speaker 1: what it takes to be a woman, so you know,
- 4:14Speaker 1: but I do know exactly what it takes to be
- 4:16Speaker 1: a man. So you know, sometimes when you talk to
- 4:19Speaker 1: people on the radio, you have to preface things because
- 4:23Speaker 1: people are just go he trying to make it look
- 4:24Speaker 1: like womanhood. Ain't. No, That's not what I'm doing. I'm
- 4:27Speaker 1: just talking to men today to explain to them that
- 4:30Speaker 1: dign by the self and struggling trying to figure this
- 4:33Speaker 1: thing out, that you are not alone in your quest
- 4:36Speaker 1: for manhood. That is difficult, but I gotta tell you,
- 4:41Speaker 1: man manhood is that kind of difficult, and it becomes
- 4:46Speaker 1: even more compounded if a young boy does not have
- 4:49Speaker 1: a male role model. I've said it a thousand times.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I'll say it again. A young boy without a male
- 4:56Speaker 1: role model is like an explorer without a map. While
- 5:01Speaker 1: I have a suggestion for everybody that's struggling with manhood
- 5:04Speaker 1: and all of the men out there that are men,
- 5:07Speaker 1: This messages for all of us, and it's for me too.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You know. I was listening to Joyce Myers the other
- 5:12Speaker 1: day and she made a statement. She said, sometimes you
- 5:17Speaker 1: gotta do the right thing even when it feels wrong.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You know, one of the difficulties of manhood is pure
- 5:26Speaker 1: pressure and the misguided principles of manhood. See what God
- 5:33Speaker 1: wants us to be as men and what we believe
- 5:37Speaker 1: manhood is sometimes two different things. Give you an example.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I wrote this book for women, right and I was
- 5:45Speaker 1: telling them the three ways that a man shows his love,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and I call him three pas. We profess, we protect,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and we provide. Every man who is a man, that's
- 5:57Speaker 1: how he exhibits love. When I talk hockey comforting with
- 6:01Speaker 1: our great nurturists. But when it comes down to to it,
- 6:04Speaker 1: what we all want to do, what is in our
- 6:06Speaker 1: day DNA, is to profess our love for something you
- 6:10Speaker 1: as a woman, to protect you as a woman, and
- 6:13Speaker 1: to provide for you as a woman. That's in our DNA. Now,
- 6:16Speaker 1: sometimes that gets messed up, and I'll give you an example.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper, real role
- 6:23Speaker 1: model in his life, he takes that principle of love
- 6:26Speaker 1: that we all possessing us every man, the professing part,
- 6:29Speaker 1: the protecting, and in the providing part, and we misplay it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That's why gangs exist. Gangs exist off those three principles.
- 6:39Speaker 1: What's the first thing a gang member do. He professed,
- 6:42Speaker 1: he claim a hood. That's the first thing you do
- 6:45Speaker 1: this is my neighborhood. I'm duces trade, I'm triple h,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'm due de duke, I'm purple, I'm red, I'm blue.
- 6:52Speaker 1: The first thing they do is claim that's professing. That's
- 6:55Speaker 1: how we show our love. But it's misguided though. Now
- 6:59Speaker 1: we professor and something that ain't even good for us.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Your hood, your game, your click now, guess what Now
- 7:06Speaker 1: we got to protect it. So now as a protection
- 7:11Speaker 1: part of our love, here we go. You come down here,
- 7:15Speaker 1: We're gonna do this to you. You go over there,
- 7:17Speaker 1: they're gonna do that to you. You protect your hood,
- 7:20Speaker 1: This your turf, This is all you got. You ain't
- 7:22Speaker 1: nobody coming down here with blue own. Can'tybody come over
- 7:24Speaker 1: here with red on. You can't come over here with
- 7:26Speaker 1: purple on. You can't come over here with black and
- 7:28Speaker 1: gold on. And we and we protect that because that's
- 7:31Speaker 1: in I DAA. And then what's the third thing we provide?
- 7:35Speaker 1: So guess what the game need money? Guess what we do.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We're selling drugs, we're selling women, we're selling guns. It
- 7:44Speaker 1: go back to the same thing. Man. I don't know
- 7:46Speaker 1: how God gave it to me that way when I
- 7:49Speaker 1: was writing a book, But he showed it to me
- 7:50Speaker 1: along the way. That's how men love well. When you
- 7:53Speaker 1: don't have a role model in your life. Guess what
- 7:55Speaker 1: now that love is misplaced, it's misguided, it's off track.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Ain't no man, and told you that really you're supposed
- 8:01Speaker 1: to take this love and give it to a woman.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman,
- 8:07Speaker 1: not your gang set. Now you professing your hood, wrapping
- 8:11Speaker 1: a color. You're protecting your territory, shooting people driving by,
- 8:15Speaker 1: coming over you on your street, and then you provide.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Now you are here selling drugs and guns for the
- 8:19Speaker 1: same thing. When a boy does not have a male
- 8:22Speaker 1: role model, he has a misguided way of looking at manhood.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Here's a deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:31Speaker 1: his image. That means He's put some of our DNA
- 8:35Speaker 1: in him. That's why it's in your DNA to profess, protect,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and provide because guess what, that's what God do for us,
- 8:43Speaker 1: because we His children. I'm just talking to men right now.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, man, I had to wake up
- 8:49Speaker 1: about five years ago. I wasn't doing what God wanted
- 8:52Speaker 1: me to do, and then he shook me. He said, Man,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna bring about some changes in your life. I'm
- 8:58Speaker 1: gonna cause some things to happen that's gonna put you
- 9:01Speaker 1: in a position. And this time you're gonna listen to me,
- 9:04Speaker 1: because if you don't, you're gonna keep living in this
- 9:06Speaker 1: pain you've been in. But you put yourself in this pain.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I own no blame to no one else but myself.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Please know, I know that. And that's how you really
- 9:16Speaker 1: get to manhood, when you figure out what you hadn't
- 9:18Speaker 1: done wrong. You can't blame this on none of your
- 9:20Speaker 1: exes because you're a man. You can't go my ex
- 9:23Speaker 1: dear this. No, No, you're a man, pardner. You got
- 9:26Speaker 1: to take responsibility for yours and yours alone. If you
- 9:30Speaker 1: got kids, you got to get to them some kind
- 9:33Speaker 1: of way. Write him a letter, send them the money.
- 9:36Speaker 1: If she won't let you see it, front of money, whatever,
- 9:38Speaker 1: Send them money to a mama. Do what you're supposed
- 9:41Speaker 1: to do as a man. Do what God want you
- 9:43Speaker 1: to do, man, because he's not letting us off the
- 9:46Speaker 1: hook for what we're supposed to be just because you
- 9:49Speaker 1: ain't doing it. And if you do it, you turn
- 9:51Speaker 1: your life around. Just holding that the fellas today. That's
- 9:55Speaker 1: all sorry about that. You're listening show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Girl. You know,

- 19:50Speaker 1: Tell you that you have been talking to nephew Tommy
- 19:54Speaker 1: from the Sea Harby more to show you just got right.
- 20:00Speaker 1: So your co worker got Joseph got you. I'm gonna
- 20:06Speaker 1: get into man. Don't do that no more that man
- 20:10Speaker 1: you had me. Hey, I got one more thing to
- 20:13Speaker 1: ask you. Man, what is the baddest radio show in
- 20:17Speaker 1: the land. Come on, man, Steve Harvey Morning Show. But
- 20:24Speaker 1: the last time you had the light turned off a minute?
- 20:29Speaker 1: I've always been at the inappropriate moment. I came here
- 20:35Speaker 1: one time he hit the switch and it ain't come on,
- 20:37Speaker 1: and I kept hitting the switch. I had a little apartment.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I kept hitting the switch. I'm walking on now, what's wrong? Right?
- 20:42Speaker 1: He didn't take me long, and your lives it don't
- 20:50Speaker 1: take black people long, all right? Thank you, nephew. Coming
- 20:54Speaker 1: up next, asked the CLO with the Chief Love Officer,
- 20:57Speaker 1: Steve Harvey and the building ready for your love question?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to show coming up at
- 21:05Speaker 1: the top of the hour, and entertainment news. J Lo
- 21:08Speaker 1: and Ben Affleckt are engaged again again, but not moving
- 21:16Speaker 1: to bel air just yet. Okay, hold your horses on
- 21:19Speaker 1: that one. And Black China is suing the Kardashians for millions.
- 21:24Speaker 1: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 21:26Speaker 1: of the hour, but right now it is time to
- 21:28Speaker 1: ask the clo. This one is from Nadia and Tuscaloosa.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Nadia writes, my college bestie and I fell out a
- 21:36Speaker 1: year ago over my ex. They became the best of
- 21:39Speaker 1: friends all of a sudden, and it bothered me. My
- 21:43Speaker 1: husband saw her recently and asked what was really going
- 21:46Speaker 1: on between us? And she told him. He's mad, thinking
- 21:49Speaker 1: I still want my ex. How do I convince him
- 21:53Speaker 1: that's not the case here? Well, you know what, Nadia,
- 21:56Speaker 1: you kind of messed it up because you know you,
- 22:01Speaker 1: you and your college bestie fell out over your ex,
- 22:06Speaker 1: but you got a husband. See you save that for last,
- 22:11Speaker 1: So I don't see, really what you give a damn
- 22:14Speaker 1: what your ex to do and your bestie. But when
- 22:17Speaker 1: your bestie told your husband, now your husband going with
- 22:20Speaker 1: damn what you're mad about that for? And he's correct,
- 22:23Speaker 1: find you something else to be mad about NAUGHTI that
- 22:28Speaker 1: ain't it. That ain't it? So how does she convince
- 22:32Speaker 1: her husband that she doesn't still want her act? You
- 22:36Speaker 1: know what? I'm through with this. I don't care what
- 22:38Speaker 1: nobody do. I was more upset with my friend than
- 22:41Speaker 1: anything because she knew if I can't I want her
- 22:44Speaker 1: to take on my feelings. I can't stand him. I
- 22:48Speaker 1: want her to not stand him and for her to
- 22:50Speaker 1: be my friend. And then all of a sudden becomes
- 22:52Speaker 1: that's what I'm upset about. I don't give a damn
- 22:54Speaker 1: about him. That's facts. Okay, all right, okay, right there,
- 23:00Speaker 1: all right, here we go. Brielle Haye who I hate, Yes,
- 23:04Speaker 1: hate with me, hate with me? Right Brielle and Pensacola says,
- 23:14Speaker 1: I called my husband's phone several times while he was
- 23:18Speaker 1: down in our basement because I needed his help to
- 23:20Speaker 1: flip our mattress. He said he missed my calls because
- 23:24Speaker 1: his ringer is off. I noticed it's been off for
- 23:27Speaker 1: a week and he said it's his phone and uh,
- 23:30Speaker 1: not up for discussion. Why did he get so defensive
- 23:33Speaker 1: and rude? Oh no, yeah, talking about what's doing down
- 23:40Speaker 1: he downed in the basement and phones off what's he doing?
- 23:43Speaker 1: You know? Is that where his man came at. Maybe
- 23:45Speaker 1: he was down there getting some peace your mattresses. You know,
- 23:49Speaker 1: you ain't said you want to do nothing with the mattress.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You didn't needed some help. Flipping the match is flipping
- 23:56Speaker 1: it on. Flips on the mattress. Now you want him,
- 23:59Speaker 1: come ahead, flipped the damn match. I don't really know
- 24:02Speaker 1: that he's doing nothing wrong. His phone is off and
- 24:07Speaker 1: but you at home. But Steve, he said, it's his
- 24:10Speaker 1: phone and it's not a poor discussion. I mean, really,
- 24:14Speaker 1: that was a stupid thing to say. Just say, hey, baby,
- 24:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I've been cutting it off. I cut it on,
- 24:22Speaker 1: I cut it back on my bad. Sometimes I just
- 24:25Speaker 1: don't want to hear the ring, you know, so I
- 24:26Speaker 1: just cut it off. I was watching the game or something.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I ain't want to be disturbed. That would have been
- 24:31Speaker 1: your answer. The dog in my phone, I ain't for discussion.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Oh it but it is, though, Yes it is. See
- 24:38Speaker 1: that's what you don't. We're discussing it now. So she said,
- 24:43Speaker 1: why did he gets so defensive the room? He should
- 24:45Speaker 1: have been his job and stop talking about that phone.
- 24:47Speaker 1: He just got to stop talking about that phone. Dog. Hey,
- 24:50Speaker 1: we'll talk about talk about that phone. Why we got
- 24:55Speaker 1: answer the phone? You answer the call because she wan
- 25:00Speaker 1: in the bedroom trying to flip the mattress. Well, let
- 25:02Speaker 1: me ask you a question time. Yes, as someone ever
- 25:06Speaker 1: called you that's in your house called you in your house? Yes,
- 25:11Speaker 1: they have, and it gets on my nerve. You know
- 25:14Speaker 1: where I'm at my nerves too. But when she called,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I gossa picked this phone up. Okay, thank you, sir.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I'm not saying but it don't matter what they don't want.
- 25:29Speaker 1: What's she doing back there? I ain't doing nothing. I'm
- 25:31Speaker 1: gonna saying I've been doing. What is it? We're moving
- 25:37Speaker 1: on an argument at the house anonymous and Flint says,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm married, but I've been sexting with the man that's younger.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I send him nudes. I send him some nudes and
- 25:56Speaker 1: he said he wants me bear down there, so I
- 26:00Speaker 1: went and got it waxed. I have never been completely
- 26:04Speaker 1: bared before. So how do I explain this to my
- 26:07Speaker 1: husband I have I don't. I have no idea. I
- 26:13Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you. I don't know what
- 26:16Speaker 1: you've been doing. I don't know who. I don't know
- 26:18Speaker 1: if you know what the ladies it is, I don't know.
- 26:20Speaker 1: It ain't really my business what you do now now,
- 26:22Speaker 1: But I you know, I don't know how you know.
- 26:25Speaker 1: You don't gonna say though, oh okay, we're doing it
- 26:32Speaker 1: like that now, oh oh we bad rashlet it depending
- 26:37Speaker 1: on how old he is, you know, because she says
- 26:39Speaker 1: she texted sexy with a younger one and he want
- 26:42Speaker 1: to see it down now. Now. Obviously y'all old, cause
- 26:45Speaker 1: shavin ain't in y'all's manual of things to do. So
- 26:48Speaker 1: you know, if you old people it, you know, it
- 26:51Speaker 1: just you know, looks a little different. I would assume
- 26:54Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on down there, no mold
- 26:56Speaker 1: like I used to. You know, I used to know
- 26:58Speaker 1: what the trends was. I don't mean no trends no more. Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 1: you know you ain't seen but one in a while.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I don't. Yeah, I don't really know about trends, no mo.
- 27:10Speaker 1: So I don't know what they're doing and what they
- 27:13Speaker 1: ain't doing. I was still no, no, no, no. When
- 27:19Speaker 1: I was out there, it was a new thing. Was
- 27:21Speaker 1: just you know, flipping clean you know, everything and seen
- 27:24Speaker 1: everything was you know, I was there for the change.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I don't know if things have gone back or nothing
- 27:30Speaker 1: like that. I wish I could help you, but I
- 27:33Speaker 1: don't know. Like I say, the trends, Yeah, I was
- 27:37Speaker 1: doing the transition. Yeah, I saw the transition, and I
- 27:40Speaker 1: appreciated it too, because it just brings things a lot more,
- 27:45Speaker 1: you know, presentable, He saying, you know it was lack
- 27:49Speaker 1: of confusion. You know all this here, But then you
- 27:52Speaker 1: know I've done one again. You know just what was different?
- 27:56Speaker 1: You know, I thank the Lord for it too, you know,
- 27:59Speaker 1: glow that time in your life, boy, God that I lived,
- 28:04Speaker 1: you know, from I must admit, from growing up in segregation,
- 28:11Speaker 1: what to waxing. I just want to thank the Lord
- 28:14Speaker 1: that I saw all the change. I didn't have a
- 28:17Speaker 1: sale phone till I was damned there thirty Thank you, Lord,
- 28:20Speaker 1: I saw all the change. You are not gonna sivil
- 28:23Speaker 1: right the situation right? This is so, that's all march
- 28:29Speaker 1: on this thought. I didn't come across the bridge. I
- 28:33Speaker 1: haven't done seven times around the Justice Center without yoking.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I hadn't done all of this crazy set out at
- 28:42Speaker 1: the counter downtown at Christy's. But my mom quite folk
- 28:45Speaker 1: didn't feed us. We set fire to the place. I
- 28:48Speaker 1: was there for that. Yes, I broke out of window
- 28:52Speaker 1: Rose and blooms and stole the green leather jacket. Foth
- 28:55Speaker 1: sides is too big. Yeah, thank you. I was deaf.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Law I was there for that sexual revolution to transition
- 29:09Speaker 1: scared me at first. I didn't all right, listen coming up,
- 29:15Speaker 1: Sorry about that to our audience. Coming up at the
- 29:18Speaker 1: top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news for
- 29:21Speaker 1: you right after. This is pretty Oh you're listening to
- 29:25Speaker 1: morning show, all right. In entertainment news, Jennifer Lopez casually
- 29:31Speaker 1: announced her engagement once again to Ben Affleck. She did
- 29:36Speaker 1: this on her members only website. Jennifer showed off her rare,
- 29:40Speaker 1: very rare and beautiful green diamond ring. I didn't even
- 29:43Speaker 1: know they made diamonds and green. Her diamond ring is
- 29:47Speaker 1: estimated to be upwards of ten million dollars. J Loo
- 29:50Speaker 1: said green, it's her lucky color. Nearly twenty years ago,
- 29:54Speaker 1: you might recall Jen and Ben were engaged, but it
- 29:58Speaker 1: ended after rumors of Ben and cheating. Jay Loo has
- 30:02Speaker 1: been engaged six times, and she's walked down the aisle
- 30:05Speaker 1: three times, and a lot of numbers, a lot of
- 30:10Speaker 1: number of do until you get it right, jay Loo,
- 30:14Speaker 1: that's all right. She moves on, Okay, she moves on.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And remember the mansion, the bell Air mansion they were
- 30:21Speaker 1: trying to buy she and Ben for like over fifty
- 30:24Speaker 1: million dollars. Well, um, that fell out of s grow.
- 30:27Speaker 1: They were going to buy that together, fifty five million
- 30:30Speaker 1: dollars mega mansion. It's unclear exactly what changed their minds,
- 30:33Speaker 1: but they won't be buying that Bellair estate, so they're
- 30:37Speaker 1: just gonna look for another one. That's all. They should
- 30:39Speaker 1: buy the uh Fresh Prince mansion. It's probably on sale
- 30:43Speaker 1: right now. You know, Fresh Prince of Bellair, a lot
- 30:47Speaker 1: of Bellair. You're just getting that Bellair together. We got
- 30:55Speaker 1: what got a ranch for him in George if they
- 30:58Speaker 1: want that plenty role j what you want on that?
- 31:07Speaker 1: All right? And this story has been brewing for a while.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Black China's trial against the Kardashians. You know reality star
- 31:13Speaker 1: Black China, Well, she is suing four of the Kardashians
- 31:18Speaker 1: overclaims that they abuse their power to get her number
- 31:21Speaker 1: one hit reality show Rob and China canceled. The trial
- 31:25Speaker 1: starts this Friday, April fifteenth, and Black China says that
- 31:29Speaker 1: momager Chris, and daughters Kim, Chloe and Kylie all played
- 31:34Speaker 1: a role in getting the show canceled. China's attorney has
- 31:37Speaker 1: referred to Chris as the ring leader and accused them
- 31:40Speaker 1: all of carrying out their illegal activity in secret while
- 31:44Speaker 1: repeatedly lying to China's face. China earned about ninety two thousand,
- 31:49Speaker 1: five hundred dollars per episode and implied she's stuggling financially
- 31:53Speaker 1: now and she's had to give up three of her
- 31:56Speaker 1: luxury cars. Three of the luxury cars. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:02Speaker 1: She's seeking forty million and lost earnings from the Kardashians
- 32:06Speaker 1: and another sixty million for future losses from the show. Well,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I don't, I don't, I don't. I don't see how
- 32:11Speaker 1: that's gonna work. But the only thing she could say
- 32:16Speaker 1: is is that they use their power to say, if
- 32:19Speaker 1: you keep letting her put her show on saying these
- 32:21Speaker 1: things about us, we're gonna end our show. They could
- 32:25Speaker 1: have said that, but you can't. You can't charge them
- 32:30Speaker 1: for that. Well, if if that guy said, I'm not
- 32:34Speaker 1: saying that's what guy said, I'm just in here talking.
- 32:36Speaker 1: She's not gonna win no money on this right here.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Now, if you got number one show and
- 32:41Speaker 1: they cancel it? What you what you? What? What do
- 32:43Speaker 1: that say? Okay, so from somebody that's got a show
- 32:48Speaker 1: that ninety two episode, whoa, he was doing really good
- 32:51Speaker 1: right there. But well, oh really you're saying, be grateful,
- 32:56Speaker 1: ready to love host? What it was a blessing? That's
- 33:08Speaker 1: almost I wish you would give me nine got taken that,
- 33:15Speaker 1: don't get I WoT the ninety two. It's almost. I'll
- 33:26Speaker 1: take it to shoes. What you're talking about at all?
- 33:32Speaker 1: Please understand it's good money now, there ain't nothing to
- 33:35Speaker 1: sneeze at. Every week, Yeah, you can count on it
- 33:39Speaker 1: for twenty two weeks. No wonder she that's only three
- 33:45Speaker 1: of her luxury cards. That means she has more. But
- 33:49Speaker 1: you know, I don't think I don't think that you
- 33:51Speaker 1: got to say nothing like that. I don't think you
- 33:54Speaker 1: should be saying I got to give up three luxury cars.
- 33:59Speaker 1: You know you have been better off. Say it says
- 34:01Speaker 1: I've had to give up my cars. I don't have
- 34:03Speaker 1: anything to drive now. You can't say I gave up
- 34:07Speaker 1: three luxury call in the driveway. Feel sorry, no, no,
- 34:17Speaker 1: right right, all right, So that's entertainment news. We're gonna
- 34:21Speaker 1: switch gears here now to national news. Very serious story.
- 34:25Speaker 1: It was a horrific scene in the Sunset Park section
- 34:28Speaker 1: of Brooklyn, New York, Tuesday morning. Twenty nine people were
- 34:32Speaker 1: hurt ten by gunshot on a busy subway train. A
- 34:36Speaker 1: suspect wearing a gas mask opened two smoke canisters and
- 34:41Speaker 1: then began shooting a high capacity handgun. When the train
- 34:44Speaker 1: reached the thirty six Street station, the doors opened and
- 34:48Speaker 1: smoke and people poured out. Five of the injured were
- 34:51Speaker 1: in critical but stable condition. Police have identified sixty two
- 34:56Speaker 1: year old Frank James as a person of interest in
- 35:00Speaker 1: the shooting, though he hasn't been named as a suspect.
- 35:03Speaker 1: James rennet a U haul truck in Philadelphia, where he lives,
- 35:06Speaker 1: and the keys to that truck were found in his
- 35:09Speaker 1: belongings left behind at the station. They later found the
- 35:13Speaker 1: van in Brooklyn. So do they have him, No, No,
- 35:18Speaker 1: they don't have him yet. They're listening for him, yeah,
- 35:21Speaker 1: they're looking for him, right sure? Well yeah, yeah, Well,
- 35:30Speaker 1: praise God, though no one seased so far, right, there's
- 35:36Speaker 1: none deceased, shot and injured. Yes, So let's pray for
- 35:40Speaker 1: those people and hope they recover them out of great,
- 35:44Speaker 1: healthy lives with no long lasting you know. Yeah, that's
- 35:48Speaker 1: what the President said. As a matter of fact, President
- 35:50Speaker 1: Biden said, you're praying for the He's praying for those injured,
- 35:54Speaker 1: and thank the New York City first responders. So we'll
- 35:59Speaker 1: have more anyway, ain't gonna catch you got his name, boy? Yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 36:08Speaker 1: up right after this. You're listening to Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Everybody asked promise we got our special guests. We got
- 36:15Speaker 1: an old family member on the phone, y'all. He's medical
- 36:18Speaker 1: and died expert. He's a New York Times bestselling author,
- 36:22Speaker 1: creator of several national health initiatives, and like I say,
- 36:26Speaker 1: he's an old friend and family man. We should talk
- 36:28Speaker 1: with him all the time. So this ought to be
- 36:30Speaker 1: good man. Uh. He was a regular contributor on the show,
- 36:35Speaker 1: so we're glad to have him back. And he's here
- 36:37Speaker 1: back today to preview his newest book. Y'all. Set up,
- 36:42Speaker 1: summer's coming. You're always trying to figure out what to do.
- 36:45Speaker 1: We got it for your ladies and gentlemen. The book
- 36:48Speaker 1: is called Plant Power. Please put your hands together for
- 36:53Speaker 1: family member to one and only doctor and case Smith. Hey, fan,
- 37:00Speaker 1: good to be home, y'all. Goodell, how you being? Man?
- 37:04Speaker 1: Oh man, I'm blessed and God is good. I'm grateful
- 37:08Speaker 1: and I'm Steve. You know me. I'm like you. I'm
- 37:10Speaker 1: just out here just trying to change lives and for
- 37:12Speaker 1: the better. And it's just I'm honored to be able
- 37:15Speaker 1: to do it. Man, I'm honored. Well, I'm interested in
- 37:18Speaker 1: this one right here because I've thought about this, and
- 37:20Speaker 1: so now I got my man on here to give
- 37:22Speaker 1: us the facts. Your new book is called plant Power. Now.
- 37:25Speaker 1: The tagline for the book is flip your plate, change
- 37:30Speaker 1: your weight. Flip your plate and change your weight. All right, now,
- 37:34Speaker 1: that's pretty catchy, man, tell us about plant Power. Yeah,
- 37:37Speaker 1: this has been the most personal health book I've written,
- 37:40Speaker 1: because listen, I love steaks and ribs and cheeseburgers like
- 37:44Speaker 1: everybody else. But I just felt like I was eating
- 37:46Speaker 1: too much meat. And I know the benefits of plants,
- 37:49Speaker 1: and I just wasn't getting enough. So I said, let
- 37:51Speaker 1: me try to wean myself. I don't want to eliminate
- 37:54Speaker 1: all my meat and seafood, but let me try to
- 37:56Speaker 1: cut down and increase my plants. So plant Power is
- 38:00Speaker 1: my four week journey of reducing me not eliminating once again.
- 38:04Speaker 1: If you want to be being a vegetarian, that's fine,
- 38:06Speaker 1: but this is about people who say, I'm somewhere in
- 38:08Speaker 1: the middle, like I still want to have my chop
- 38:11Speaker 1: brisket and that kind of thing every once in a while,
- 38:13Speaker 1: but I still want to have more plants. And so
- 38:15Speaker 1: I did it for four weeks. It was amazing, yell.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I gotta tell you my energy level improved, my sleep improved,
- 38:21Speaker 1: my thinking improved. And then I put this in my group.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I got a Facebook group that's called plant Power and
- 38:25Speaker 1: everyone should join it as phenomenal. The average weight loss,
- 38:28Speaker 1: y'all in four weeks was ten to twelve pounds just
- 38:31Speaker 1: by eating more plants. This has been a life changer
- 38:33Speaker 1: for me and a lot of others I'm in. So
- 38:37Speaker 1: what motivated you to research the plant based diets. Yeah,
- 38:40Speaker 1: I just thought like I was sluggish. You know. It
- 38:42Speaker 1: wasn't like I was feeling bad, but I felt like
- 38:44Speaker 1: I was sluggish. Everything I had, like a steak or something.
- 38:46Speaker 1: It took me a while to recover from it, and
- 38:48Speaker 1: I just felt like I gotta make a change myself,
- 38:51Speaker 1: you know. And then all the all the research Steve
- 38:54Speaker 1: about plants, you know, reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels
- 38:57Speaker 1: and strokes, and people were saying to me, doctor Ian,
- 38:59Speaker 1: how can I reduce some of these issues I have,
- 39:02Speaker 1: particularly us as African Americans without taking medications. And all
- 39:05Speaker 1: the research man talks about how plants are just God's
- 39:09Speaker 1: you know, nature magical. It's just it's phenomenal. So that's
- 39:12Speaker 1: what really got me into it. And I gotta tell
- 39:14Speaker 1: you the recipes because sometimes people just boil a vegetable
- 39:18Speaker 1: and put it on a plate and you can't eat that. Well,
- 39:22Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Hang on the doctor Ian man,
- 39:24Speaker 1: We're gonna find out more. We're gonna come back because
- 39:26Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about some of these recipes. We're gonna
- 39:28Speaker 1: talk about how you can flip your plate and change
- 39:31Speaker 1: your weight. We'll be back with more with doctor Ian K.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Smith right after this you're listening show. All I try
- 39:40Speaker 1: to be back in our special guests this morning. As
- 39:42Speaker 1: an old friend and family member used to come on
- 39:44Speaker 1: the show all the time with national health initiatives and
- 39:47Speaker 1: when he's got another one, got a new book, out.
- 39:49Speaker 1: It's called plant power. And here's here's a catchphrase. Y'all
- 39:53Speaker 1: flip your plate and change your weight. I'm making it.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I'm texting right now, my nutrition. This taxing right now,
- 40:02Speaker 1: my train on and I'm fitting to do all plants tomorrow,
- 40:08Speaker 1: but I'm gonna give them a day to work on
- 40:10Speaker 1: some stuff because I like my plants to sort a
- 40:12Speaker 1: kind of taste like meat, and you can do that.
- 40:15Speaker 1: So let me ask you, this doc, plant base has
- 40:18Speaker 1: come a long way. I'm so, I don't know what
- 40:20Speaker 1: your recipes are in your book, but you can kind
- 40:23Speaker 1: of get that texture and taste in plants now, can't you.
- 40:28Speaker 1: You can, But I gotta tell you something. I just
- 40:30Speaker 1: want people to be a little careful because now it's
- 40:33Speaker 1: a big marketing thing about meat substitutes, and a lot
- 40:36Speaker 1: of these meat substitutes, unfortunately, they highly process them. And
- 40:40Speaker 1: the person who works will tell you this. They put
- 40:43Speaker 1: a lot of calories, they put fats, they put the
- 40:45Speaker 1: bad fat, they put the saturated fats. You want unsaturated fat.
- 40:49Speaker 1: They also add a lot of sodium and you got
- 40:52Speaker 1: to be careful of that and bad oil. So what
- 40:53Speaker 1: I tell people is listening on page thirty six. In
- 40:56Speaker 1: the book, I talk about the things you need to
- 40:59Speaker 1: look for when you're buying some of these plant alternatives
- 41:02Speaker 1: or these meat substitutes. And I'm not saying they're all bad.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I'm just saying you gotta be careful. But you know,
- 41:08Speaker 1: you can find plant and veggie burgers that definitely taste
- 41:12Speaker 1: and look like meat. You just gotta be careful what
- 41:14Speaker 1: the ingredients are. Wow, I'm always you know, dog fight,
- 41:19Speaker 1: you know, with my weight and everything. And yeah, we
- 41:23Speaker 1: all especially yeah, yeah. Let me ask you this, though,
- 41:27Speaker 1: what have you found to beat some of the most
- 41:29Speaker 1: surprising benefits of following the plant based diet. Well, everyone
- 41:34Speaker 1: thought that they were gonna have meat withdraw or they
- 41:37Speaker 1: were gonna have all these meat crazy And let me
- 41:39Speaker 1: tell you something. After about four or five days, everyone
- 41:41Speaker 1: kept saying, Man, I don't really, I don't miss it.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I still get the habit because once again you can
- 41:46Speaker 1: still have some meat and some seafood. But no one
- 41:49Speaker 1: missed it. And that was amazing how they just felt
- 41:51Speaker 1: like this was great. The other thing is that there
- 41:53Speaker 1: are a lot of people Steve who have high blood pressure,
- 41:56Speaker 1: and some of them were coming off their medications. Cutting
- 41:59Speaker 1: the medications than half loring, the cholesterol levels, all these
- 42:02Speaker 1: things only because they just one thing. They just ate
- 42:05Speaker 1: more plants and less process me. And let gonna tell
- 42:08Speaker 1: you something like in the recipes and our Facebook group
- 42:10Speaker 1: they post these recipes. One of my favorites, page two fourteen,
- 42:13Speaker 1: spicy tie vegetable stir fry. When you eat that, you're
- 42:17Speaker 1: gonna be like, meet what because it's just like it.
- 42:20Speaker 1: It's so good and so filling you just can't stop eating.
- 42:23Speaker 1: So I just want to tell people listen, open your mind,
- 42:25Speaker 1: open your palette, believe in it. And I'm helping people, Steve,
- 42:29Speaker 1: you know how I like to do, Steve, I got
- 42:31Speaker 1: people who are doing individual counseling for free in our
- 42:34Speaker 1: Facebook group at plant Power. So I just want to
- 42:37Speaker 1: help as many people as possible, particularly us, be able
- 42:40Speaker 1: to eat a little healthier and be able to reap
- 42:41Speaker 1: the benefits. Wow, I like it. What do you think
- 42:44Speaker 1: the case stands for? Inductor Ian's middle name kill yeah
- 42:49Speaker 1: Kale kill Kale. But if you're from where I'm from,
- 42:53Speaker 1: cabbage with the K say it hard? Hey? Doc? So look, man,
- 43:05Speaker 1: give us the reason. Why does Steve Harvey Nation need
- 43:09Speaker 1: to get their hands on this book. If it's very
- 43:12Speaker 1: to go ahead, Yeah, it's very simple. Listen, y'all. We
- 43:16Speaker 1: have got to eat a little better, not perfectly. I
- 43:18Speaker 1: don't eat perfectly. I'm not advocating you eat perfectly. But
- 43:21Speaker 1: if we make small changes in what we eat, what's
- 43:23Speaker 1: at our table, we can make a huge change and
- 43:25Speaker 1: how long we live, how betterly we live, how happy
- 43:28Speaker 1: we are, And it's something that the whole family can do.
- 43:31Speaker 1: With plant powers, you are not going to have to
- 43:34Speaker 1: be a vegan or vegetarian, though you can be if
- 43:35Speaker 1: you like to. With plant Power, I'm saying, just have balance.
- 43:39Speaker 1: And when you lose that weight and start feeling lighter
- 43:41Speaker 1: and having more energy, you are not going to want
- 43:44Speaker 1: to go back to eating red meat every single day.
- 43:46Speaker 1: I did it. I love red meat as much as anybody.
- 43:49Speaker 1: So just trust me. It's easy. Join my group. Uh
- 43:52Speaker 1: you know plant power and Facebook follow me an instat
- 43:54Speaker 1: at doctor Ian Smith, spell a doctor out Ian Smith.

- 44:39Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject is he's
- 44:42Speaker 1: hiding money in our raggedy house. But right now it
- 44:46Speaker 1: is time for the nephew and today's prank phone call.

- 46:09Speaker 1: order the SUV, I'll be there tomorrow. Um, I'll be
- 46:13Speaker 1: there probably a little bit before seven am. You know
- 46:15Speaker 1: when you guys order Uber way in advance, you know,
- 46:19Speaker 1: we try to get there almost like a car service
- 46:21Speaker 1: and make sure we get you where you gotta go.
- 46:23Speaker 1: And I know the traffic is gonna be a little crazy,
- 46:25Speaker 1: so um, you know I'll be there on time. I'll
- 46:27Speaker 1: be downstairs waiting on you. All right, I'd appreciate it. Now, listen,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm an SUV, but it's a kind of
- 46:35Speaker 1: a little different. So that's why I kind of the
- 46:37Speaker 1: reason for the call. I wanted to kind of give
- 46:38Speaker 1: your heads up that I am an suv. So I
- 46:43Speaker 1: just want you to look for the uh, the black
- 46:46Speaker 1: hurse that'll be outside hurts. Yeah, I'll be in a

- 46:59Speaker 1: a suv are urs. No, No, it's a hurt. It's
- 47:02Speaker 1: a hurt. Actually, what's happening is is I have another
- 47:05Speaker 1: drop off at the airport as well. You know, there's
- 47:09Speaker 1: a I mean, it's it's it won't affect you at all.
- 47:11Speaker 1: There'll there'll be a body in the back, but that
- 47:13Speaker 1: has to we're trying to get that to the airport too.
- 47:15Speaker 1: But you know, like I said, and a matter of fact,
- 47:17Speaker 1: is that body wait a minute, held on? Yeah, yeah
- 47:21Speaker 1: you want me? Man, No, no, I ain't start riding
- 47:24Speaker 1: on my body. Well, there's a I mean, there'll be
- 47:27Speaker 1: a body, but actually it's just causing you less. You
- 47:29Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So you don't have to. Man,
- 47:31Speaker 1: Well I'm supposed to lay down and lift this mother,
- 47:33Speaker 1: So what what you're talking about? Man, dude, ain't ride
- 47:37Speaker 1: with the body hang on, man, listen, you wanted to suv.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I'm not ride with the body. Dude. You're tripping. Cancel
- 47:46Speaker 1: this trip. I get another over. I'm not riding with
- 47:49Speaker 1: a body, dude. Okay, if you cancel, that's gonna cost
- 47:52Speaker 1: you fifty dollars. Fifty dollars, oh man, yeah, like you
- 47:56Speaker 1: just downloaded the here's the deal. I know for a
- 47:59Speaker 1: fact when you cancel over just five hours, I'm canceling.
- 48:03Speaker 1: That's gonna be five hours. I gonna no fifty dollars,
- 48:06Speaker 1: it's gonna be fifty dollars, sir, it's a different one.
- 48:09Speaker 1: You have, my man, you can pay me a thousand dollars.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I'm not riding with them. You feel me the understanding.
- 48:14Speaker 1: You understand you now. But do you want to get
- 48:17Speaker 1: to the airport or not? Look, why don't you lay
- 48:19Speaker 1: down next to the body and you drive yourself there
- 48:21Speaker 1: with the blighty like in the path to just see
- 48:24Speaker 1: I'm not doing it. Tell me what the problem is.
- 48:26Speaker 1: I mean, obviously you're used to driving around with bodies
- 48:29Speaker 1: and that's not my thing. You know what I'm saying.
- 48:32Speaker 1: What's the problem. I mean, you're gonna be in the
- 48:33Speaker 1: front of the hurse. You're not gonna be in the back.
- 48:35Speaker 1: We'll put in the back with your luggage in the back.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I mean, that'll be fine, right, you're my man. You're tripping, man,
- 48:41Speaker 1: this is a crazy you're calling wrong with this crazy book, Dude,
- 48:46Speaker 1: I'm not doing a none of that. What part of that?
- 48:48Speaker 1: Don't you want to stand? I'm going to get you
- 48:50Speaker 1: there on time, sir, But it's going to be in
- 48:53Speaker 1: a hurse. That's all the difference is. Man, you'll be
- 48:56Speaker 1: riding the hurts. Well, I'm supposed to be laid out,
- 48:58Speaker 1: and you understand right now you got me fucked up?
- 49:02Speaker 1: What kind of phone call? Is this? What I mean,
- 49:04Speaker 1: what's what's the problem. Obviously you're used to rolling with
- 49:07Speaker 1: with dead bodies or hearses and all that. Since when
- 49:10Speaker 1: it over start rolling with hearses to pick up regular
- 49:15Speaker 1: live more, because to get them from place to place.
- 49:18Speaker 1: This is some crazy. I don't want you to think
- 49:21Speaker 1: when when did you think that it would just be
- 49:24Speaker 1: cool or as a regular picking up a body and
- 49:26Speaker 1: just driving around in the street. I don't know, man,
- 49:29Speaker 1: I mean, you know I got two jobs. You know
- 49:31Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I do you know? And also you know,
- 49:35Speaker 1: work for a mortuary to you know what I'm saying.
- 49:37Speaker 1: So you know, but my vehicle is is certified and
- 49:41Speaker 1: approved it so I'm able to use it as an
- 49:43Speaker 1: suv as so you you calling them is and you
- 49:47Speaker 1: gave him ride to live more and they don't have
- 49:50Speaker 1: no reaction, no reaction to riding around with them embodying
- 49:55Speaker 1: the back well you know, uh, sometimes there's a few
- 49:58Speaker 1: people acting a little you know, it's a little different
- 50:00Speaker 1: for him. I get it, you know, but like I said,
- 50:03Speaker 1: the only reason why I'm calling you, you don't get
- 50:06Speaker 1: that because you're trying to hit me with a fifty
- 50:08Speaker 1: dollars in charge that I'm not I'm not going for
- 50:12Speaker 1: and you're trying to get me to ride with him
- 50:14Speaker 1: and that body. Dude, I'm not doing that. So I'll
- 50:17Speaker 1: tell you what, brou I'm gonna tell you this right here.
- 50:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna get all the phone tomorrow and seven in
- 50:21Speaker 1: the morning, me and Tommy gonna be there. So be
- 50:24Speaker 1: looking forwards here, who's Timmy the body? No, No, Me
- 50:28Speaker 1: and Tommy gonna be there tomorrow morning at seven mayhem.
- 50:31Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Just be ready for that.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Then you're Timmy gonna have a problem. Okay, okay, all right,
- 50:36Speaker 1: tell it to Tommy thought because see Tommy, don't Tommy
- 50:39Speaker 1: don't take this too kindly, So tell it to him
- 50:41Speaker 1: in the morning. Who's Timmy? Hen Now, okay, you don't
- 50:46Speaker 1: know who Tommy is? No, I don't what it's Tommy? Okay,
- 50:49Speaker 1: do you know Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning So
- 50:52Speaker 1: do you know nephew Tommy? Come on? Man? Oh man,
- 51:04Speaker 1: oh man, that's hey, hey man, come in and no, man,

- 54:10Speaker 1: got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter, Thank
- 54:14Speaker 1: you nephew. Subject he's hiding money in our raggedy house.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a forty nine year old married
- 54:21Speaker 1: woman and my husband is fifty nine. We've been married
- 54:24Speaker 1: for six years and this is my first marriage and
- 54:27Speaker 1: his second. We dated a good while before he asked
- 54:31Speaker 1: me to marry him, and when I accepted his proposal,
- 54:34Speaker 1: I told him that I didn't want to live in
- 54:36Speaker 1: the house that he and his wife and kids lived in.
- 54:39Speaker 1: He rented out his house and we bought a fixer
- 54:42Speaker 1: upper house in a great neighborhood. I wanted a new house,
- 54:45Speaker 1: or at least one that was in great condition. He
- 54:48Speaker 1: promised me that he had some great contractors that would
- 54:51Speaker 1: make my dream a reality. The house is so old
- 54:54Speaker 1: that we still have Linolean taught linoleum tiles on the
- 54:57Speaker 1: kitchen floor. Icon acted a professional company to get a
- 55:02Speaker 1: flooring estimate, and I wanted to replace all the laminate
- 55:05Speaker 1: countertops in the kitchens. It had been six years, and
- 55:08Speaker 1: I saved up money to do a few little things.
- 55:12Speaker 1: He hemmed and hawed, but he eventually helped me pick
- 55:15Speaker 1: out our flooring. He didn't offer to help me pay
- 55:17Speaker 1: for anything, because he said it with my impatience. That
- 55:21Speaker 1: led to the renovation. A few weeks later, we were
- 55:25Speaker 1: packing up to go to my parents' home temporarily while
- 55:28Speaker 1: our floors are getting installed, and I just happened to
- 55:30Speaker 1: be peeking in at him in the bedroom. He carefully
- 55:34Speaker 1: pulled out a big envelope, pulled a big envelope out
- 55:36Speaker 1: of a shoe box, and I saw hundreds of dollars.
- 55:40Speaker 1: I ran into the room and tackled him and grabbed
- 55:43Speaker 1: the envelope. All he could say is that he had
- 55:47Speaker 1: to keep a stash because I loved spending his money.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I don't know how he thought it was okay to
- 55:52Speaker 1: hide this large sum of money from me. I'm wondering
- 55:56Speaker 1: if he planned to leave me in this raggedy house.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Is that he's not interested in doing any upgrades? What
- 56:02Speaker 1: is he up to? Well, before we get to that,
- 56:06Speaker 1: I just gotta say, the visual of you busting in
- 56:10Speaker 1: the bedroom and tackling your huff But it's just a
- 56:13Speaker 1: little funny. Okay, that visual is funny, And I mean
- 56:17Speaker 1: you ask the question, what is he up to? Who
- 56:19Speaker 1: knows what? Mister secretive is up to and why is
- 56:22Speaker 1: he being so shady with this money. I'm all for
- 56:26Speaker 1: having all for having your own money and not having
- 56:28Speaker 1: to always ask someone your husband in this case, for cash,
- 56:32Speaker 1: and of course there's also the house money and the
- 56:34Speaker 1: film money. But just something about this doesn't sit well
- 56:38Speaker 1: with me. I mean, first, you say it's been six
- 56:42Speaker 1: years since you've been in this fixer upper and nothing
- 56:46Speaker 1: has been fixed up. And didn't you also say that
- 56:48Speaker 1: you saved the money yourself, with no help from your husband.
- 56:53Speaker 1: He said it was your impatience that led to the renovation.
- 56:56Speaker 1: I don't understand that statement. What is he talking about.
- 57:00Speaker 1: It's been six years since you guys have been in
- 57:02Speaker 1: that house and nothing has been done. I mean as
- 57:05Speaker 1: his house too. He seems like he would want it remodeled.
- 57:09Speaker 1: I mean, especially the linoleum floors. You know, the only
- 57:14Speaker 1: explanation he had for stashing is that you love to
- 57:17Speaker 1: spend his money, his money. I mean, it's our money
- 57:20Speaker 1: you got. You guys are married. You know you're spending
- 57:24Speaker 1: money on the house. You saved the money for the house.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Is he trying to say if you knew he had
- 57:32Speaker 1: the secret money, you would have spent that on the
- 57:34Speaker 1: house or something else. I'm so confused with that statement.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I mean, what is his stash money for If it's
- 57:42Speaker 1: not for the house. He sounds just very cheap to me,
- 57:45Speaker 1: very selfish to me, And he doesn't have any intentions
- 57:49Speaker 1: after six years of fixing this house up. I don't
- 57:52Speaker 1: see that. So, so, now that you know you've caught
- 57:56Speaker 1: him with this money, you need you need to find
- 57:58Speaker 1: out what he's up to. We don't know what he's
- 58:00Speaker 1: up to, insists you know, if you guys are gonna
- 58:03Speaker 1: stay married on a joint bank account for the house,
- 58:07Speaker 1: for the renovations. It's been six years, let's go. You know,
- 58:11Speaker 1: both of you should be contributing, not just you. It's
- 58:14Speaker 1: his house too, and it's his chiefment. It is his cheapness,
- 58:17Speaker 1: why his first marriage fails. These are some of the
- 58:20Speaker 1: questions you need to ask him. If you find out
- 58:23Speaker 1: the answers to this, maybe you'll find out what you know,
- 58:27Speaker 1: the money he stashed is all about. Other than that,
- 58:30Speaker 1: I don't know. This is crazy. You know he needs you,
- 58:33Speaker 1: You need his help. See I don't know about this
- 58:37Speaker 1: letter right here. I'm a little bit thrown off. See
- 58:40Speaker 1: he's had money in our raggedy house. But the name
- 58:43Speaker 1: of this letter to me is somebody lying slash. We
- 58:50Speaker 1: ain't here the whole truth, I don't think so. See,
- 58:53Speaker 1: we're just not hearing this whole story. I don't think
- 58:56Speaker 1: because something is missing in this story. It don't sit
- 59:01Speaker 1: right with me. But you know, one of us Uncle
- 59:03Speaker 1: Steve's favorite things to do, and one of my skills
- 59:09Speaker 1: sets is to dig under the circles to find out
- 59:14Speaker 1: what's really going on. Ladies and gentlemen, Let's go under
- 59:19Speaker 1: the skinnon to find out what's going on. Now. She
- 59:23Speaker 1: forty nine. She her husband is fifty nine. That's a
- 59:27Speaker 1: ten year difference. Been married six years, my first marriage,
- 59:31Speaker 1: his second. That's a little tale tale right there. This
- 59:35Speaker 1: yr first time. He hadn't done this before. He seen
- 59:39Speaker 1: the movie before. In other words, we dated a good
- 59:41Speaker 1: while before he asked me to marry him. When I
- 59:43Speaker 1: accepted his proposal, I told him I didn't want to
- 59:47Speaker 1: live in the house that he and his wife and
- 59:49Speaker 1: kids live. Did so guess what he did. He rented
- 59:52Speaker 1: out his house. He honored that request. That was a
- 59:56Speaker 1: big one. This man already owned the house, but you
- 59:58Speaker 1: didn't want to leave it. He said cool. He rented
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: out the house and he bought a fixer up our
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: house in a great neighborhood. I wanted a new house,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: or at least one. Dad was in great condition. He
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: promised me he has some great contractors and he would
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: make my dreams of reality. The house is so old.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: We got linoleum tiles on the kitchen floor. Our contracted
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: a professional company to get a flowing estiment. I wanted
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: to replace all the laminate countertops in the kitchen. And
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: after this, I'll tell you what happened why you ain't
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: gotten a kitchen yet. All right, Steve, hold on part
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: two of your responses coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject He's hiding money
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: in our raggedy house. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Morning show. All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry Letters subject, he's hiding money in
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: our raggedy house. Yeah, you're hiding money your raggedy house.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Because we don't know the whole story. But you've been
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: married now for six years. He's rented out the house.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: She told him you didn't want to live in with
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: his formal wife and kids. Head so he rented it
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: out as a good husband. We're doing He bought a
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: fixer upper. You kind of wanted the new house. He
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: told you that he has some friends and stuff and
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: he get it fixed up. Well, you wanted the new house.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: He said he had some contractors and the house is
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: so old that y'all got linolean floors on the kitchen.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: So you contacted professional come to get a floor next ment,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and I want to replace all the laminate countertops. It's
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: been six years. I've saved up money to do a
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: few little things. He hemmed in heart, but he eventually
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: helped me pick out the flooring. He didn't offer to
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: help me to pay for anything because he said it
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: was my impatience that led to the renovation. Now less,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: it's where the letter gets tricky. It's your impatience that
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: led to the renovation or was it his lie that
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: led to you having to save up to get the renovation?
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: To see now we're about to peel back somebody skin
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: on this onion right here and put tears in your eyes.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I think it's because of the fact that he's been
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: married before and you ain't he seen this movie before.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Now you're telling me that you've been saving up a
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: little bit of money for this laminated float, right, and
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: he wasn't gonna go for it. Whose kitchen is that big?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: How much that float cost? So I don't know how
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: much you had to save, but it's a kitchen float.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: I don't know what you saved. I'm not pass a judgment.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: I don't like to do that, but you saved up
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: your a little bit of money. But we're talking six
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: years though, So what have you been doing and what
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: have y'all been doing with the money for six years? See,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: you've been buying something, and I think you may be
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: buying some stuff that ain't got nothing to do with nothing.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: And he saw his money slipping away like he did
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: with his previous wife, so he started stashing money before
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: she get our hands on this right here too. That's
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: what I think happened, you know, And then I see,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: here's what here's what led me to say that. A
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: few weeks later, we were packing up to go to
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: my parents' home temporarily while your floors were getting installed,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: which means the floors was in the process of getting done, right,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: I just happened to be peeking in at him in
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: the bedroom. He carefully pulled a big envelope out of
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: a shoe box, and I saw hundreds of dollars. You,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: being a gold digger that you are, ran into the
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: room and tackled and grabbed the envelope. Dove on the man.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Now he was surprised because obviously you blindsided him. He
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: didn't see it coming. You make his head jerk back,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: slob or wrap around his head a little bit. He
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: know what was happening because you tackled him in his
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: lower back because he had that envelope down low, count
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: that money. All he could say is he had to
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: keep a stash because I love spending him money. That's
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: the key. See, for six years, he'd been watching you
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: spend money on all types of stuff. Now you come up,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: but you on a floor. Now this man going, wait minute, man,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: hold on, I've been chipping in. We've been doing this here.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: You got me written out this house that I already
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: paid for. Now you over here. We were trying to
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: do something else, but you just spending money. You mess
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: around after six years and save the money for a
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: damn flow, and now you in't here tackling me for cash.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: See how that look? He thought it was okay. I
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: don't know how he thought it was okay to hide
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: this large sum of money for me. I do because
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: he didn't want you to spend it. That's why he
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: was hiding. I'm wondering if he planned to leave me
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: in this raggedy house. Is that why he's not interested
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: in doing any upgrades? What's he up to? Well, it
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: seemed to me like he's up to what you ain't
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: up to, trying to save a little bit of money
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: because he said you'd be spending all his money. And
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: a man will do that. A man will hide some
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: money if you think you're gonna spend it all. Every
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: man I know haven't done. But what about the line
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: about her impatience led to the renovation? What does that mean?
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: They've been in the house for six years and they
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: still haven't gotten it renovated. I said when I read
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: the letter, I don't think it's her impatience that's led
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to the renovation. Bore, It is his lie that led
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: to her wanting to do the renovation. The woman got
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: every right to want to fix her house up. Most
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: women like living in nice home and this representative of
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: a woman. When people come over your house and your
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: house saved, right, the woman takes the blame for that,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: not the man. Thank you. What she in here doing,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: how she got all this food, and how she who
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: decorated this right here? What I understand it, that's not
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: her fault. He lied and said he was gonna fix
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: the house up. But what happened was as he was
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: trying to save, he was just watching her spend. So now,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: hold up, I can't take what I'm saving and renovate
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: this house because she's spending all other money. Let me
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: save some of this money, which would I would be
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: spending on renovating the house. But since she's spending all
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: the money, we ain't gonna have no damn money. That's
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: how she found him hiding the money in the envelope.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: But now she didn't manage to save up a little
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: bit of money get this flow done after six years.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: But he got to flow money in that box. He
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: got to flow money and wall money in the box.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I think what happened here is we have a spending
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: problem which leads to more divorces finance than even infidelity.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: And y'all will get you will get left in that
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: ragged ass house. If you keep spending money like that
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: whole damn letters your fault. He needs to help her
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: fix up that house, all right, love, so she can
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: make him a home. Please leave your comments on today's

- 1:07:42Speaker 1: the Phoenix Merker is still gonna pay her salary, which
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: brings me to a question. You know, like if one

- 1:07:51Speaker 1: being detained, would you still pay our? Would you still
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: pay our with salary? Just want Yeah, your money is

- 1:08:18Speaker 1: keep supplementing bad behavior. You're not where at least I'm
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: getting paid. No, no, you're not. Get your ass out
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: of their hell and get back to work. Yeah, I'm
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: trying to motivate you as a hostage. Lord, I'm still
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: getting paid. No, you're not. I just wanted to know
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: type of boss I have. No No, No, your ass
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: needs to get free shitting up in that comfortable like
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you just all right with being a hostage. Oh no,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: we're not up in here eating free food over and
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: you're not well. Get to see her lawyers twice a week.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Another news baseball is back And did you know this?
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I didn't know this, the Cleveland Guardians that changed his
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: name from the Indians. Indians is gone. Indians is gone.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: We ain't gonna win, Cleveland coal Mins, Well what you
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: want to call it? Whatever you want to Hey, when
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: when in the win? So what what? And call it
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: the Cleveland Champions. We're not gonna win. And then also
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: lastly NBA news, Frank Bowl has officially been fired from
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Lost La. He finally heard the dude we heard already.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: He just got it yesterday. So Frank is out. It
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: ain't his fault, it's really not. I think he's a scapegoat.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: But the way I would play them, I would I
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: would have Westbrook as a sixth man and that when
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: that when Rest Westbrook come on on the floor, I
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: would let Lebron or a d sit down and let
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: it be the Russell Westbrook show so he could get
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: back to who he is. And that would be his
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: greatest contribution to the Lake of Basketball team. If they don't,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: if they don't run, because he's not gonna be effective
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: as long as Lebron on the floe, because it's Lebron's team,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: all right, Junior, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: of the hour, a man gets caught naked on a
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: work video conference call. We'll talk about that when we
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: come back, right. I can understand that though you're listening
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: to the same Harvey Morning Show. A New York City
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: housing authority official has been suspended for thirty days without
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: pay after being caught naked in bed with a woman
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: during a work related video call. A seventeen second video
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: posted on YouTube of what was supposed to be a
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: routine video call for staff shows the male employee, who
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: works as an administrative housing superintendent, completely naked, lying next
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: to a woman as his stunned co workers watched. There
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: were at least the upper level managers and superintendence on
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: the video, and when the woman appeared in the video,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: all you could hear was oh my god, no, no,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: it is right. So uh. The question the question for you, Steve,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: is out of all of us working on this show,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: who would you expect this type of behavior from? You
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: would not know, you would nothing stupid like what what?
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: But you use the word in a sentence. I ain't
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: gonna do nothing stupid like that, But see what other
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: form of stupidity would you do. I wouldn't do that.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: He didn't get fired. He just got suspended for thirty
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: days with understand man. But I want to thank the
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Lord that video conference and just starting because if there
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: was any footage of the stuff I used to do
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: on phone call, thank you Lord. I'm with you when
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: you're right too. So did he accidentally leave his zoom? Yeah?
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: I don't know how. Yeah. Yeah, he's naked and bad
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: with the woman here. He had to forgot to have
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: turned it off, you know, he forgot to turn it off.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Is there footage of this anywhere? Because is there footage anywhere? Monica?
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: Can you send it to me? He probably ain't in shape, though,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: what does that matter? Most super embarrassing? Ain't in shape?
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Would you be embarrassed? Though, I know you would. Would
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: you be embarrassed? Well? Putting on the angle you caught
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: me at? I got, I got, I got a couple.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Might be proud, Yeah, I got proud and posed now
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: but if you catch me roll or it could be
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: all so quite in bed you're laying in the bed
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: on the video. See you got your look at this phone,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: put your hand your chest. We gotta post that by somebody,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: somebody to look at him laid out all over his chip.

- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the Stave Harvey Morning Show. The national trucking industry is
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: down by eighty thousand trust drivers and that's why our
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: goods our services and our packages have been delayed lately. Well,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Walmart is doing something about it. To combat the national
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: truck drivers shortage. They are granting new truck drivers up
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: to one hundred and ten thousand dollars during their first
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: year on the job. That's really great news, isn't it.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Walmart is doubling the average salary for long haul drivers
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: and has also launched a twelve week program in several
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: states to help its warehouse employees earn a commercial driver's license.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: So in you know, one hundred ten thousand dollars, it's
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: a great starting salary. So it's great. Thank you, Walmart.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Way to go. Yeah, Mom, still gonna say, ain't no job.

- 1:18:04Speaker 1: a resort and nobody was in it, and then some
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: people came and got in it. I got them get out. Yeah,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: that's right, that's right, all right, I'm just not finn

- 1:19:08Speaker 1: That would be the most unholy meal I've ever eaten

- 1:20:05Speaker 1: be back with the last break of the day and
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: we'll have some closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening here, we are, guys,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Wednesday. We
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: got to say a special thank you to doctor Ian K.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: Smith who joined us after a minute. It's been a minute,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: but he came back to um talk about his brand
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: new book called Plant Power, which is available online and
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: wherever you buy books. It's all about flip your plate,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: change your weight your plate. Flip your plate, change your weight.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: The name of the book again is called plant Power.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Thank you doctor Ian for dropping us. Catchy, Catchy. It
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: is huh, flip your plate, change your weight. Mm hmm,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: that's what we planted. Yep, I need to flip my
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: plate bowl fun. Yeah, I was just suggesting. I kind
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: of listen to it though, because I'm going to do it,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: because I just text everybody involved with my program and
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: told him I want to change two meals a day
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: to all plans at least two meals a day. You know,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: but you know, good good, it's never nothing wrong with that.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: But I'll tell you something else that can help y'all too.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Here's my closed remarks. I want to remind everybody I
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: was Oprah's had been on TV for years talking about
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: dream boards, and um, I'm The first time I saw
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: a dream board was in nineteen seventy four a friend
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: of mine named Marvelous Marvin Harton. I was in his
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: dorm room one day and on his mirror he had
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: what he called a treasure map. And on this treasure
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: map he had things on it, and to graduate in
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: four years. That was his plan, to play Jamaica sci fi.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: That was his plan. And he had several other things,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: but he had a treasure map. He had timelines on it,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: and I've never seen that and I stopped him. I said, hey, Mamas,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I said, what is this right here? He said, this
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: was like a treasure map. Man later to learn it
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: was what's called a vision board. He said, but this
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: is how I put the things in front of me,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: my goals and hopes and wishes and aspirations. He graduated
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: in four years. He is a member of them maka
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: sci Fi, and he's retired now. He worked in the
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: defense for the government, and he's retired now. I watched
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: this cat pretty much do all the things he said
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: he was gonna do. Well, that was the first time
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: I saw vision board or what he called a treasure map.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: What I later discovered was they would call vision board,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: and I started mine later on in life. I wish
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: I knew what my friend knew in nineteen seventy four,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: but I didn't. I just didn't. And part of what
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about is it don't
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: matter when you learn it, as long as long as
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: you learn it, because the application of wisdom, faith and
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: understanding is never too late for that it could be
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: the right time for you. The fact that I didn't
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: have a vision board didn't stop the fact that I
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: should have them. Well, right now, I'm probably on my
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: sixth or seventh vision board. I just had my son
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: come over Sunday. We set outside, cooked outside of the kitchen,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: and I had him redo my vision board. But Sun
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: was talking to me, said, wow, Dad, do you know man,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: that everything you put on your vision board you have
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: to change because it comes true. And that's what I
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: want to talk to you all about the power of
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: that vision board. Don't think or don't underestimate the power
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: of writing it down. Don't underestimate the power of putting
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: up a visual Now. I'm a picture guy, so I
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: do very well with pictures demonstration. If I had known
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: that about myself in college, I probably could have graduated.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: I probably could have been an okay student had I
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: understood that I'm a visual learner. I don't like words
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and then try to recall and then tell you back
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: on a test what I read. I ain't gonna really
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: remember all that. But if you got some pictures and
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: you put it in the form of a story or
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: my ass is good at that. But what I've learned
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: is the power of this vision board for you is
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: a spiritual thing. And don't think it don't apply to
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: you and the fact that you ain't never had one
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: don't mean that this ain't the time for you to
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: start to have one. I put my vision boards on
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: my cell phone because I I have nothing in my
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: hand more than I have my cell phone. So when
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I my home screen are what you call it through
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: wallpaper setting home screen setting, every time it pops up,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: it's my vision board. Because I'm always on the phone
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: talking business plans. All is here. Every vision board I've
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: ever had has come true, and it's come true in
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: a way that I didn't really think about it. Because
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: on my new vision board, I put two very important
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: things on that God's will and the way that I
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: ensure God's will is I incorporate a lot more prayer
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: in my life. And the other important thing I put
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: on there is God's timing, which requires my faith because
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I've learned to stop asking for God telling him when
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: to do it or how to do it. I trust
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: in his will is better than my knowledge or understanding,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: and his timing is gonna be different from mine. So
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: I put that on my vision board. I put dollar
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: amounts on my vision board. I put vision for my foundation.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: I put vision that I have for other people. I
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: have vision for how I want to change people's lives.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: I put all of that on that, and it comes true.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: I put on that. Companies that I want to do
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: business with. I've had to take them off because I'm
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: in business with them. I'm telling you, man, the power
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: of vision board. Don't overlook it. Go online and learn
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: how to make a vision board if you need to.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: But you can start with a list of stuff. But
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: I like pictures because I'm a visionary guy. I'm telling y'all, man,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: start using vision boards and look at them every day
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: and just read it. I'm telling you it comes true.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: It requires your faith and belief in it. And that's
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: really the beginning. Now, if you're willing to put the
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: hard work behind it, boom, all your dreams can come true.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: That's probably vision board. You really need to think about that.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Those my clothes remark today and one other thing, talk
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: to God today. He would absolutely love to hear. For
