- 3:14Speaker 1: to me. You can try it if you want to,
- 3:16Speaker 1: because I did. I'm here to tell you I am
- 3:19Speaker 1: talking purely from experience. Here. You can try it without God,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and you can see how far you can get. Now
- 3:28Speaker 1: when you have some measures of success, of course you will.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Will it feel like days like you might make it?
- 3:34Speaker 1: Of course you will, without a doubt. But let me
- 3:37Speaker 1: ask you a question, though, What you're gonna do about
- 3:40Speaker 1: them days when you feel like you ain't gonna make it.
- 3:42Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them, days when you feel
- 3:44Speaker 1: like giving up. When you're gonna do about them, days
- 3:46Speaker 1: where it feels like there are no answers to your questions.
- 3:49Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days? What you're gonna
- 3:51Speaker 1: do about them days when everybody laughing at you, turn
- 3:54Speaker 1: against you. What you're gonna do about them, days when
- 3:56Speaker 1: you just don't see no way through it? What you're
- 3:59Speaker 1: gonna do about them days? See, I got there, I
- 4:03Speaker 1: got the sunshine. You know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends.
- 4:06Speaker 1: When it's Sunday outside, you want some friends, hit the lotto,
- 4:10Speaker 1: You want to get rid of them, friends, go ask
- 4:11Speaker 1: for some help. Man, I'm talking about man. They scattered
- 4:14Speaker 1: like roaches when lights come on. I'm trying to tell you,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so now here, here we go again, and you can
- 4:20Speaker 1: do this without God now because I've done it, and
- 4:23Speaker 1: you can have yourself some measure success. Let me even
- 4:25Speaker 1: hip you to a little bit closer though, Let me
- 4:28Speaker 1: tell you why you are doing it without God and
- 4:30Speaker 1: having some measure of success. Can I tell you why?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Because of God's grace and mercy to us, because of
- 4:37Speaker 1: His grace and mercy trying to keep us in spite
- 4:41Speaker 1: of ourselves, for the real mission that He really got
- 4:44Speaker 1: for us. See, that's the truth of the matter now
- 4:47Speaker 1: now what we're talking about, nasty See. So yeah, yeah,
- 4:50Speaker 1: you can do it without God, and you can have
- 4:51Speaker 1: some measure success without God. And yeah, you know, you know,
- 4:54Speaker 1: yeah you got your little degree and everything. Yeah, you
- 4:57Speaker 1: completed the program, got all that, y'all to y'all of YadA.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But don't you know something. It's because of God's grace
- 5:03Speaker 1: and mercy that he helps us anyway when even when
- 5:06Speaker 1: we ain't asking for help, when he bails us out anyway,
- 5:09Speaker 1: when we don't even ask him to be bailed out.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You know why, because He loves us that much that
- 5:14Speaker 1: he would allow us to exist until we get our
- 5:17Speaker 1: mind together where he could take us. Where really trying
- 5:19Speaker 1: to take us. But now, let me tell you something though.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Let's get this real straight and clear today. You can
- 5:26Speaker 1: do this without God if you want to. But I
- 5:29Speaker 1: am telling you to get to where you really want
- 5:32Speaker 1: to be and to be all that God has for you.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You got to have. God is no ifs ands buts
- 5:39Speaker 1: about it. And let me tell you this here. I
- 5:41Speaker 1: don't really care what nobody even told you. Are you
- 5:45Speaker 1: listening to me? I don't care what they say. Don't
- 5:49Speaker 1: get this thing twisted. They got these people out here
- 5:52Speaker 1: talking about their luminatis and all listen, man, don't listen
- 5:56Speaker 1: to me. Don't get caught in this mess. Don't get
- 6:00Speaker 1: caught it no foolishness. You were created by God. God
- 6:04Speaker 1: created you, ain't your soul. We were all created in
- 6:08Speaker 1: His image, all of us. Don't get to talk about.
- 6:11Speaker 1: You've been to cut a deal with it with the devil,
- 6:13Speaker 1: and all you ain't cutting no deal with nobody. Man.
- 6:15Speaker 1: The devil don't do deals. He one sided. I'm taking
- 6:19Speaker 1: you to hell. You're going to hell, You're burning hell.
- 6:22Speaker 1: That's his deal. I want your soul. I want you
- 6:25Speaker 1: to lose hope. I want you to take your life.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I want you to take some other people's lives. I
- 6:30Speaker 1: want you to feel hopeless. I want you to realize
- 6:32Speaker 1: that it ain't no God. That's his whole deal. His
- 6:35Speaker 1: whole deal is negative. Oh, he can talk to you
- 6:38Speaker 1: in the dealing drugs if you want to. But let
- 6:39Speaker 1: me tell you something about this. I watched these shows
- 6:41Speaker 1: all the time, drug ink and all this here, cocaine mafia.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Everybody on now go to jail and get killed. Our
- 6:50Speaker 1: prisoners is filled the day with our young boys because
- 6:52Speaker 1: they thought they could outslick the system. They thought they
- 6:55Speaker 1: had a way. They thought they said them been here
- 6:58Speaker 1: and they failed. For the old cliche, man, I gotta
- 7:00Speaker 1: do what I gotta do, I gotta get this money. Well,
- 7:03Speaker 1: the only reason you gotta do what you gotta do
- 7:04Speaker 1: is because, like I said all the time, you didn't
- 7:06Speaker 1: do what you were supposed to do. Had you just
- 7:09Speaker 1: done some of the things you were supposed to do,
- 7:11Speaker 1: had you just stayed in that school when it didn't
- 7:13Speaker 1: look right, well, if you had just formed a relationship
- 7:16Speaker 1: with God and gotten rid of that. I ain't gonna
- 7:19Speaker 1: make it that. I'm hopelessness feeling you wouldn't have found
- 7:22Speaker 1: yourself doing something so far out the box got you
- 7:25Speaker 1: out here being in the spirit that don't even belong
- 7:27Speaker 1: to you. God ain't created you to be no dope dealer,
- 7:30Speaker 1: or no such a thing or nothing even close to that. See,
- 7:33Speaker 1: let's get your mind right and understand what's going on here.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You know, That's what I need everybody. I need everybody
- 7:41Speaker 1: to get me clearly about this. This is not going
- 7:45Speaker 1: to happen without a relationship with God. It will not
- 7:49Speaker 1: happen for you in any shape, form or fashion. Now
- 7:53Speaker 1: one more time, for those of you that think you're
- 7:55Speaker 1: making it without Him, I want you to understand something clearly.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It is but because of His grace and mercy that
- 8:01Speaker 1: we exist. And God is just taken care of you,
- 8:04Speaker 1: looking out for you. Got some angels encamped around you
- 8:08Speaker 1: until you get your mind right so he can get
- 8:10Speaker 1: you where you're going. But now I want you to
- 8:12Speaker 1: understand something. There's a cause and a consequence and a
- 8:15Speaker 1: penalty for everything we do this outside the will of God.
- 8:19Speaker 1: That's for all of us all of us have consequences,
- 8:22Speaker 1: penalties and everything that we got to deal with outside
- 8:26Speaker 1: of the will of God. Understand that, clearly, don't get
- 8:30Speaker 1: this thing twisted sideways. You understand me. You know. I
- 8:34Speaker 1: heard a young man tell me one day. He said, Steve,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you know, man, I just don't see how God looking
- 8:40Speaker 1: out for me, he would allow all these things to
- 8:42Speaker 1: happen to me. I'm having such a hard time in
- 8:44Speaker 1: my life. I really don't see how there's a God
- 8:48Speaker 1: looking out for me. I live the young man, I said,
- 8:50Speaker 1: the man, it's just something. Man, you're still breathing. He said,
- 8:54Speaker 1: you understanding here talking to you? I said, you're still free.
- 8:57Speaker 1: He said what you mean? I said, you ain't locked
- 8:58Speaker 1: up on you? So no standing here talking to you.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I said, where you get them clothes from? I bought him?
- 9:04Speaker 1: I said, when you bought him with what? I bought
- 9:05Speaker 1: him with? Money? So where you get the money from? You?
- 9:08Speaker 1: So I got a job, Mr. I got a job.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I said, well, well where you live though, he's I
- 9:14Speaker 1: got apartment. I said, where you got department? Mr? Haw,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm working. I got an apartment. I got a job.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I was okay, okay, So now this this God ain't
- 9:23Speaker 1: looking out for you. Think finish, Finish telling me what
- 9:26Speaker 1: you're telling me. We'll see. Man, I'm having it real
- 9:28Speaker 1: hard right now. I said, hey, hey, man, are you
- 9:31Speaker 1: are you hungry? You have you had lunch yet? He
- 9:34Speaker 1: said yeah, yeah, yeah, yea already had lunch yet. I said, okay, okay,
- 9:38Speaker 1: so gone, finish tell me about this how God ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: looking out for you? He said, oh. And you know, man,
- 9:43Speaker 1: every every time I try to do something, it seemed
- 9:46Speaker 1: like it go wrong for me. I said, but let
- 9:48Speaker 1: let me know match something, man, I said, every time
- 9:50Speaker 1: you go wrong for y'all say, somehow you survive it.
- 9:53Speaker 1: He said, yeah, yeah, I survive it some kind of way,
- 9:55Speaker 1: but it's still be all messed up on me. I said,
- 9:58Speaker 1: but but you still got through it though. He's yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I said, okay, man, go and finish telling me how
- 10:02Speaker 1: God ain't looking out for you. And he stopped. He
- 10:05Speaker 1: said him it is hard. He said, How come every
- 10:06Speaker 1: time I tell you something that's going wrong, you keep
- 10:09Speaker 1: telling me God looking out for me? I said, because
- 10:11Speaker 1: you're still here, man, I said, See, you don't understand it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I said, you seem to think that you're supposed to
- 10:17Speaker 1: just supposed to skate through life. That's all supposed to
- 10:20Speaker 1: go how you want it, any kind of way. I said, Man, Jesus,
- 10:22Speaker 1: the test of your faith, I say, God looking out
- 10:25Speaker 1: for you the whole time. I said, every time you
- 10:27Speaker 1: tell me something going wrong, are you seem to turn
- 10:29Speaker 1: around and tell me how you survived? And you keep
- 10:31Speaker 1: telling me what ain't going right? But you keep telling
- 10:34Speaker 1: me all these things you have. I said, man, so
- 10:36Speaker 1: what you gotta do is you gotta stop looking at
- 10:38Speaker 1: what you ain't got, column, and start focusing on what
- 10:41Speaker 1: you do have. Column. But if you ain't happy with
- 10:43Speaker 1: nothing he hadn't done for you, you wanted to keep
- 10:45Speaker 1: piling stuff on. I said, you fail in the test,
- 10:47Speaker 1: young man. The test is are you grateful for where
- 10:51Speaker 1: you are right now? So I could give you more
- 10:53Speaker 1: so we can move forward? He said, oh, man, never
- 10:56Speaker 1: even looked at like that. I said, well, why don't
- 10:57Speaker 1: you take your blessed cell phone somewhere and sit down?
- 11:00Speaker 1: He said, I think I'm going over here and let
- 11:01Speaker 1: you finish talking. I said, thank you. So sometimes you
- 11:04Speaker 1: just gotta look at what you do got, folks, that's
- 11:06Speaker 1: all it is. Okay, you can't make it without God, y'all,
- 11:09Speaker 1: you got me today. All right, let's be clear. Let's go.

- 14:15Speaker 1: You know. I just pulled it and hurt a little bit,
- 14:17Speaker 1: but I poor it got me a little space. I

- 40:43Speaker 1: after this, Simmy mid No, you're listening to the Steve
- 40:47Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Magic Johnson has given himself a deadline.
- 40:52Speaker 1: The Lakers president of basketball Operations said there's no pressure
- 40:56Speaker 1: to bring stars to Los Angeles during free agency. Furthermore,
- 41:01Speaker 1: Magic says he is willing to put his job on
- 41:03Speaker 1: the line and leave the organization if the Lakers don't
- 41:06Speaker 1: improve after giving himself a deadline of two summers to
- 41:09Speaker 1: turn the team around. Take a listen. If you judge
- 41:12Speaker 1: us on one summer, that's ridiculous, then a lot of
- 41:16Speaker 1: dude shouldn't be in their roles. I mean, because if
- 41:21Speaker 1: we're banging on one summer for the Lakers, were in trouble. Right,
- 41:25Speaker 1: We're in trouble because you have to give us time
- 41:30Speaker 1: this class. Like I told you before I took the job,
- 41:32Speaker 1: and when I took the job, it's going to be
- 41:34Speaker 1: a two summer thing for the Lakers this summer and
- 41:37Speaker 1: next summer, and that's it. And then if I can't deliver,
- 41:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna step down myself. You won't have to fire me.
- 41:43Speaker 1: I'll step away from it. Okay, I go here to
- 41:47Speaker 1: my baseball team. I don't know who can I say something? Here?
- 41:51Speaker 1: Go ahead? Of course, here's what the talk is that's
- 41:55Speaker 1: gonna make cats so happy. Do you know that they
- 41:59Speaker 1: actually talking about Paul, George Kauai and Lebron coming down
- 42:09Speaker 1: coming to the lake. You'll said it was impossible, we
- 42:12Speaker 1: thought it was gonna happen. I don't like that where
- 42:15Speaker 1: would you like Lebron, he said, Philly or Houston. Houston
- 42:20Speaker 1: is my number one pick for him, then Philly. But
- 42:25Speaker 1: what I do like about you three to l A.
- 42:28Speaker 1: The three of them could win it. But then the
- 42:30Speaker 1: three best teams in basketball is in the West, and
- 42:35Speaker 1: only one of them can come out. And I want
- 42:37Speaker 1: to see a little bit more balanced, so I can
- 42:39Speaker 1: see the two best teams end up in the finals
- 42:41Speaker 1: because only one of them three teams can represent the West,
- 42:44Speaker 1: Houston l A. If he went to l A and
- 42:47Speaker 1: Golden State, and that ain't that ain't good for the league.
- 42:52Speaker 1: I don't think. I just saw billboard outside the Houston
- 42:55Speaker 1: radio stations in Houstonia King, I said, trying to get him. Yeah,
- 43:05Speaker 1: so let me ask you this. Do you think do
- 43:08Speaker 1: you see him definitely leaving Cleveland? Yeah. The only way
- 43:12Speaker 1: he could stay in Cleveland is that is somebody wanted
- 43:15Speaker 1: to play in Cleveland, if Kauai or Paul George wanted
- 43:20Speaker 1: to play in Cleveland, and that he could do that. Yeah,
- 43:25Speaker 1: I don't know if the Calves got enough for Kauai
- 43:28Speaker 1: and Paul George. And the other thing, too, uncy, is
- 43:32Speaker 1: that Jr. Smith got to be gone. Yeah, yeah, I
- 43:38Speaker 1: thought we was up. The deadline is Friday, right, Yeah,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I'm not sure if he has a market value. I mean,
- 43:48Speaker 1: the guy can play basketball. He really came Cano. Yeah,
- 43:55Speaker 1: he can hoop, but I don't you know, he just
- 43:59Speaker 1: made a big mister ain't getting the game? Wanted the
- 44:02Speaker 1: final right there? Ye, look, I thought we was up.
- 44:07Speaker 1: What but at the same time, Junior that bought You
- 44:09Speaker 1: have missed that free though, and then we wouldn't even
- 44:11Speaker 1: be talking about this man water. That's what it is.
- 44:16Speaker 1: That's why they played the game at the same time.
- 44:19Speaker 1: If you're my teammate and you grab a rebound, you
- 44:21Speaker 1: don't bring it back out to me. Learn something about Junior.
- 44:26Speaker 1: He have a problem. Yeah, I know, Junior is aggressive
- 44:36Speaker 1: when it comes too especially the hell is you doing
- 44:44Speaker 1: out here out of eye with one second on the
- 44:48Speaker 1: cloud and if you got the rebound under the basket, Yeah,
- 44:54Speaker 1: and he dunk his butt off, he could have he
- 44:56Speaker 1: could have put it right back up. Come on, right,
- 44:58Speaker 1: so you can tell us each team you think Lebron
- 45:01Speaker 1: James will choose. Go to all social media at Steve
- 45:04Speaker 1: Harvey FM. And up next it is the nephew with
- 45:07Speaker 1: a prank phone call coming up right after this. You're
- 45:10Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, coming up at
- 45:14Speaker 1: the top of the hour, about four minutes after today's
- 45:17Speaker 1: Strawberry letter subject Without a doubt, it is time to
- 45:21Speaker 1: get out. Okay, that's the subject. But right now the
- 45:24Speaker 1: King of pranks is here with frank phone call for today. Nephew,
- 45:27Speaker 1: what you got eight and two? Aid? What do those
- 45:31Speaker 1: numbers mean? A and two equal to what? No? No,
- 45:36Speaker 1: just eight and two. Take a listen. That's the name
- 45:38Speaker 1: of the prank. Eight and two. Yeah, I'm hey, I'm
- 45:43Speaker 1: trying to get some ansle Uh yeah, Miss Sam did Sam? Siam? Okay? Sam?
- 45:51Speaker 1: All right, yeah, okay, I thought it was some mouse trail. Yeah, Sam, Man,
- 45:58Speaker 1: what's up? Okay? Uh, my name Calf. I wanted to
- 46:03Speaker 1: reach out to your I let you about about uh
- 46:09Speaker 1: your girl, right, your girlfriend? Yeah? Yeah she is. Okay,
- 46:14Speaker 1: how long you know I've been together. We've been together
- 46:17Speaker 1: about about tending up years? While what's going on? Well,
- 46:22Speaker 1: listen to me and better holiday at each other for
- 46:24Speaker 1: like the last few months or whatever. I wanted to
- 46:27Speaker 1: reach out to you, and you know, I don't want
- 46:29Speaker 1: to call you. She wanted me to call you. I
- 46:31Speaker 1: wanted to tell you that, you know, I didn't decide
- 46:33Speaker 1: that she wanted to start hanging with me and she
- 46:35Speaker 1: wants me to come up to the house and pick
- 46:37Speaker 1: her stuff up. Oh yeah, oh yeah. Really, maybe that's
- 46:41Speaker 1: what's going on you calling me. She didn't told you
- 46:44Speaker 1: to call me, basically what I wanted to do, saying'
- 46:49Speaker 1: and just have a man and man talk which and
- 46:52Speaker 1: just let you know, you you that that's that's what
- 46:54Speaker 1: that's what's going on right now. Don't do it because
- 46:57Speaker 1: right now you just talking a bunch of what's up?
- 46:59Speaker 1: Now what I'm saying any other days, you know, I'm
- 47:01Speaker 1: already making room for her at my apartment. I'm just
- 47:04Speaker 1: trying to come. Uh listen, that ain't none of it
- 47:11Speaker 1: is whatever. If you want to come, do, come do.
- 47:15Speaker 1: But they ain't going out when we'in't going out without
- 47:18Speaker 1: a fight. I'm not tripping. I'm not tripping with you,
- 47:21Speaker 1: and I'm not tripping with all. But you come to
- 47:24Speaker 1: my home. About getting from my house, then it's going
- 47:27Speaker 1: down me and you, me and you. So what's up?
- 47:31Speaker 1: You're coming to get up because I'm on the road
- 47:33Speaker 1: right now and then shrucks. But dob meet you down.
- 47:37Speaker 1: So if you're coming to get us, come on with me. Okay, okay,
- 47:40Speaker 1: hold on though, hold on, let's back up and see.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Like I said, I'm trying to he less you know
- 47:44Speaker 1: where then when you gotta have no problem I want
- 47:46Speaker 1: to do it, come in the house and get her
- 47:48Speaker 1: stuff and pack it up so I can get it
- 47:50Speaker 1: over to me. You think you just gonna coming to
- 47:52Speaker 1: my house and I've been with I don't need you.
- 47:58Speaker 1: You think you're just gonna be just gonna be teachers
- 48:00Speaker 1: and cream you got me. I'm telling you, dog, you
- 48:03Speaker 1: come to my house's going down and that just then
- 48:06Speaker 1: she needs to be a woman. Why don't she bring
- 48:08Speaker 1: it to me? Why she didn't bring it to me?
- 48:10Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, What's what's what? Y'all want
- 48:13Speaker 1: to be together? Now on? She ain't no more. All
- 48:17Speaker 1: I know is she was feeling me. That's all I'm saying.
- 48:19Speaker 1: She was feeling me. You know, she telling me, I mean, dude,
- 48:25Speaker 1: you have a problem with her league because that's her choice.
- 48:28Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. If she claims she want
- 48:29Speaker 1: to be with me, that's what she won't. You know,
- 48:31Speaker 1: I ain't knocking what nobody do you understaying? But what
- 48:34Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you she telling me she want
- 48:36Speaker 1: to be with me. So I'm just trying to get
- 48:38Speaker 1: you to lift. Is it better for me to her
- 48:40Speaker 1: to go over there? Why you ain't there and get
- 48:42Speaker 1: our stuff? Dog? All this? Didn't you saying no, I don't.
- 48:47Speaker 1: I ain't got the rational thing with you. She needs
- 48:50Speaker 1: to be the one telling me all it is and
- 48:52Speaker 1: seeing she can't do it. And you, man, you man,
- 48:55Speaker 1: you know that what you're calling from? Man, man, come
- 48:58Speaker 1: get that's all you say. Hey, Samantha, Samantha, Hey, hey man, Hey,
- 49:04Speaker 1: hey hey man, my name is Sam. Man. I ain't
- 49:07Speaker 1: gonna tell you that no more already told you that
- 49:09Speaker 1: when you called, when you first called, okay, Sam, so listen, okay,
- 49:12Speaker 1: wait you know what. I ain't even gonna go back
- 49:14Speaker 1: and forward. You then shows me I'm gonna come to hey,
- 49:19Speaker 1: all this you talking? You're still on this phone without that,
- 49:23Speaker 1: y'all jacking. If you're gonna come get up, I hadn't
- 49:26Speaker 1: invited you. So if you want to bring your over here,
- 49:29Speaker 1: come get it to Maiden too. Oh I've woke two
- 49:34Speaker 1: of them. Yeah, but I'll tell you this isn't much
- 49:37Speaker 1: to it them. Let them them too down. They don't
- 49:39Speaker 1: want to me no more. They don't want to rock
- 49:41Speaker 1: with me no more. And like I said, telling something
- 49:44Speaker 1: with you, she ought to be a woman to know
- 49:46Speaker 1: what she behind the back in the background telling you
- 49:48Speaker 1: to come tell me from think that's the man I'm
- 49:52Speaker 1: gonna and you come because you're acting like too, I'm
- 49:56Speaker 1: gonna fla So what for? Okay, well look here, let
- 49:58Speaker 1: me go say this to you. There can I can?
- 50:00Speaker 1: I tell you what she call me? Man? You tell
- 50:03Speaker 1: me you want to tell me? Read now what she
- 50:05Speaker 1: told you? But what what's up? I just want to
- 50:08Speaker 1: tell you she told me to pring phone call you.
- 50:11Speaker 1: This is Nephew Times, Steve Harvey Morning Show, a man

- 50:47Speaker 1: you know, in a in a nice flow of traffic.
- 50:50Speaker 1: You know you just be stupid, but in fact, get
- 50:56Speaker 1: yourself a CD. That's what you need this summer at
- 50:58Speaker 1: the fan of the Union. That's what you need at
- 50:59Speaker 1: the forth with you like going to Walmart and get
- 51:02Speaker 1: Won't he do it? It's sitting there on the shelf.

- 51:15Speaker 1: hurt my feelings. Sometimes y'all fans and then you I
- 51:18Speaker 1: don't I don't want stealing fans. I don't go and
- 51:22Speaker 1: support by purchasing the c D and get your laugh

- 53:03Speaker 1: in several situations. Yeah, you know what I mean. That
- 53:09Speaker 1: could be really funny in your show to put him
- 53:12Speaker 1: in several situations. For example, you should do Jesse Jackson
- 53:18Speaker 1: standing up for the dude that was Bobby Q and
- 53:21Speaker 1: when the white lady reported him. Yeah. Yeah, and then
- 53:24Speaker 1: you go on site to defeat the little black girl
- 53:27Speaker 1: that was selling water bottles, bottles of water for the
- 53:31Speaker 1: lady that called her in and you just go to
- 53:33Speaker 1: like ridiculous things and show up as Jesse Jackson. But
- 53:38Speaker 1: everything you go to is meaning the girl sell water
- 53:46Speaker 1: for a quarters, trying to make some money for Yeah,
- 53:50Speaker 1: I could do that. I could rock with that. You
- 53:52Speaker 1: like that? Also? Do we have a mentory moment? Shirley

- 55:24Speaker 1: all right. If they don't won't help through, let's go
- 55:32Speaker 1: alright subject without a doubt, it's time to get out here.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I am a twenty seven year old that
- 55:39Speaker 1: is married and together. My husband and I have three kids.
- 55:43Speaker 1: About two years ago, my in laws and their twenty
- 55:47Speaker 1: one year old son moved into our three bedroom house.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I was on board with them moving in because they
- 55:53Speaker 1: had a hardship and needed some help until they got
- 55:56Speaker 1: on their feet. Well that was two years ago and
- 55:59Speaker 1: I have not seen any signs of them trying to
- 56:01Speaker 1: get on their feet. Uh. My father in law does
- 56:04Speaker 1: not work, and neither does the twenty one year old.
- 56:07Speaker 1: They are both able body and able to work any
- 56:10Speaker 1: type of job. My mother in law works as a
- 56:13Speaker 1: hairstylist and my husband and I have to take her
- 56:16Speaker 1: to and from work because they don't have a car.
- 56:19Speaker 1: My husband is frustrated too, but feels like there's nothing
- 56:22Speaker 1: he can do. We stress about bills every month now
- 56:25Speaker 1: because we have three extra grown people to take care
- 56:29Speaker 1: of and they don't offer to help with household expenses.
- 56:32Speaker 1: Our three children are all sleeping in one bedroom so
- 56:36Speaker 1: my in laws can have their own bedroom. My husband
- 56:39Speaker 1: is a good guy, but I need him to get
- 56:41Speaker 1: a backbone and put his foot down before I do.
- 56:44Speaker 1: There is no excuse for him and his dad to
- 56:46Speaker 1: allow his twenty one year old brother to be trifling
- 56:49Speaker 1: and not get a job. I can't deal with this
- 56:52Speaker 1: much longer. How should I fix this situation? Any advice
- 56:55Speaker 1: you can offer will help. See see if people need
- 56:58Speaker 1: our help. And I am with you. I am with you,
- 57:02Speaker 1: lady who wrote this letter. Young lady who wrote this letter,
- 57:05Speaker 1: Your husband definitely needs to get a backbone and put
- 57:08Speaker 1: his foot down. These are his family members. They have
- 57:11Speaker 1: been in his home for for two years. Uh misplacing
- 57:15Speaker 1: his kids. You know his kids all have to sleep
- 57:18Speaker 1: in one bedroom. How how is that? You know taking
- 57:22Speaker 1: care of your own family first? Uh? Cleaving to your
- 57:25Speaker 1: wife and taking care of your own family. You know,
- 57:27Speaker 1: I get helping people when they're Um, you know when
- 57:30Speaker 1: they have a hardship, like you say, but um, there
- 57:34Speaker 1: are time limits and there are boundaries, and they have
- 57:37Speaker 1: just you know, just disrespected all of that. And I
- 57:42Speaker 1: think it is time now for you guys to sit
- 57:44Speaker 1: down and have a family meeting and tell them that
- 57:46Speaker 1: they have to go. Start helping them look for a
- 57:49Speaker 1: place to go. Uh, help them the young man find
- 57:53Speaker 1: a job, whatever you have to do. The mother in
- 57:55Speaker 1: law working as a hairstylist, Okay, she makes money, but
- 58:00Speaker 1: she's bringing nothing, uh to help you guys with food,
- 58:03Speaker 1: with rent, with anything. Now, you guys got to sit
- 58:06Speaker 1: them down and tell them that they have to go
- 58:09Speaker 1: and all of that. I mean, I don't even know
- 58:11Speaker 1: how it's gone on for two years. And you're right,
- 58:13Speaker 1: this is your house too. You have every right to
- 58:16Speaker 1: say something to them as well. But I see you
- 58:19Speaker 1: want to respect your husband as the head of household.
- 58:22Speaker 1: He should be doing this, Steve. I know this is
- 58:29Speaker 1: a tough letter, and I'll tell you why they're young.
- 58:35Speaker 1: She was okay with this at first because the you know,
- 58:38Speaker 1: the in laws fell on some hard times and they
- 58:42Speaker 1: wanted to help him out, so they moved him in.
- 58:45Speaker 1: The problem is this one year old woman is married
- 58:50Speaker 1: and yet and they got three kids. That's a lot
- 58:54Speaker 1: to take care. Now your in laws move in and
- 58:59Speaker 1: they your old son move into our three bedroom house.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Now three bed rooms, I mean you and your husband
- 59:10Speaker 1: got a room, y'all, three kids got a room, and
- 59:13Speaker 1: the MoMA and daddy got a room. Where the twenty
- 59:15Speaker 1: one year old stay? Where due to twenty one year
- 59:21Speaker 1: old state? Is he on the couch? Is he in
- 59:29Speaker 1: the room with your mom and daddy? That that's a
- 59:33Speaker 1: good question I wanted to know. Now you helped him,
- 59:37Speaker 1: that was two years ago. You ain't seen any sign
- 59:41Speaker 1: of them trying to get on their feet. Your father
- 59:44Speaker 1: in law does not work, neither does the twenty one
- 59:48Speaker 1: year old. They both able body and able to work
- 59:52Speaker 1: any type of job. Your mother in laws and hairstyle
- 59:55Speaker 1: is y'all gotta take a two and from work because
- 59:58Speaker 1: they don't have a call my husband. Now here's a deal.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: My husband is frustrated too, but feels like there's nothing
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: he can do. We stress about bills every month now
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: because we have three extra grown people to take care of,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: and they don't offer to help with household expenses. I
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: three children sleeping in one room so my in laws
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: can have their own bed with. My husband's a good guy,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: but I need him to get a backbone and put
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: his foot down before I do. There is no excuse
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: for him and his dad to allow his twenty one
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: year old brother to be trifling and not get a job.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Excuse me not. There's so much in here to that
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: kind of dress. First of all, the dada ain't working,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: So how he gonna put his foot down and make
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: another grown man get a job with his grown tail?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Won'ta go out here and try to hustle up, no one.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: It's too many trifling people in this letter for you
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and your husband to win in this It's just too
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: many trifle to people. Did daddy trifle? See? I'm not
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: gonna let my son and my wife see me sitting
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: around doing nothing while she's going out to work every day.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: So did daddy he trifle? The mama can't make a
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: contribution to the household expense because she probably need every
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: dime she made dress in hand to take carety to food.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Now here's the problem that you staid said I need
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: my husband to get a backbone. That's an unfair statement
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: because that statement is filled with negativity. It is not
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: that your husband does not have a backbone in this situation.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: He did, Amanda, and he tried to help his mom
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and daddy. You did a grown woman thing. You tried
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: to help him too, because you saw that fell on
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: some hard time. But this decision of letting his parents
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: stay there and brothers stay there's not because a lack
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: of backbone. It is because now what see, as you've
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: decided to help them, you now got to decide what
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the cutoff point is. And we'll talk about that when
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I come back, because that's the problem with all right,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. Subject of today's Strawberry Letter,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: without a doubt, it's time to get out. Right after this,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: let's turn to go two years you're listening to show,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: all right, Steve, come on, let's get to part two
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: of your response to today's Strawberry Letter. Without a doubt
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: It's time to get out? Is the subject? Well, you know,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: we talked about this reiterate seven year old woman with
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: three kids, married to a husband. They have a wonderful family,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: have a three bed room house. Day in laws fell
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: on hard times, they let him move in. Mom and
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: daddy came to the house with the one year old son.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: They all stay in the house together. Now it's been
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: two years. The mother works as a hairdresser, but they
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: gotta take it to work because you ain't got no car,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and then the daddy don't work and the twenty one
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: year old don't work. My conclusion is is too many
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: trifling people in this house. It's just too many of them.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: And the trifling people is his daddy and his brother,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: because he first of all, I'm not taking care of
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: my twenty one year old brother. That's not going to happen.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: But I'm not taking care of my able body to
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: as daddy either. I'm gonna say it again, it's too
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: many trifling people in the house. The daddy trifling because
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: he's setting a bad example to his wife and his sons.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: The other son, the twenty one year old, he trifling
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: because he being everything he sees his daddy being. And
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: it's okay with his daddy, so it's okay with him.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: You and your husband are the man in the middle. Now.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: He got his parents that he loved and you loved
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: him to two years ago, and you let him move
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: in because some tragic happital. Well, now, how long are
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: we've been to do this now? And it's not that
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: your husband, I will repeat this, kneeds backbone. It's not backbone.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: This is now a heart matter. This is not a
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: matter of who's got backboned. This is a matter of
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: the heart. How does your husband put his mama and
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: his daddy out and they ain't got nothing. Here's the solution.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: They have to get another relative's house to go to.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: The twenty one year old got to get out now,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: and you give them sixty days to a move. Sixty days,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: y'all gotta be going. I want my family back, I
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: want my life back, I want my house back, I
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: want my children's rooms back. You all have sixty days
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: to move, and you just gotta give them ultimatle man,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: because trifling people gotta be directed. True. Yeah, if you
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: don't give a trifling person direction, they just keep being trifle.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: They know they're talking that the question Shirley, can I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: ask you a question? Yes you can. Who on this
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: show used to be trip? Used to be Oh that's easy, Yeah,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: that's easy, he said, used to be used to be
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: don't do this, used to be don't do that. Okay,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: what are we doing it? She has to answer the question.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: He's trying to make a point. Okay, that's easy. Let
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: me take Shirley out of it. By Tommy. Yes, can
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I ask you a question? Go ahead? Did not you
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: used to be trifling on the shot? Allegedly Carlin Ferrell word? Okay,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: let me clear this up. You wasn't. Allegedly you was tried, Shirley.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: We gave him an ultimatum and he straightened up. You
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: gotta give trifling people all Tomato. Your mom and daddy
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: and brother got sixty days to live. The brother here,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: how you Your brother got thirty days and he got
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: to get out your I'm and daddy got sixty and
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: they got to go. And on the thirtieth day, you
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: just commenced the whipping your brother ass. He sounds like
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Tommy right then, that's what he would say. Are we clear?
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Yea at the thirty day mark. To make sure he leaves,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: you got to jump on me. Yeah. They can help
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: them find someplace else. Good. That's it, folks. Now you
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: ain't got to help them nothing. Let them find where
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: they want to go live. That's it. Thank you for
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: asking end of my response. And Tommy, it was used
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: to be I haven't I got it? Surely I got
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: it beyond that. Now you ain't gotta be chilly about
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: this year. And it's not like I volunteered and Steve
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: did ask me. Did you surely ever do anything or anything? Uh?
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: I mean no, no, yes, you on this show? You
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: have I ever done anything? Trifon, No, he ain't. Why
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: why are you having no shirt? Yes, it's just you.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: It's you. You ain't been way Ah. Al right, guys,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: we gotta go. Um email us your Instagram. I's your

- 1:09:16Speaker 1: made me proud. I'm sure you did not that Coming

- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Reality Update. But right now, Steve, please introduce our girl
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: from the Talk Ladies and Gentlemen Underwolf. Hey, Steve Harvey,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: look first, I gotta get to it. Don't forget to
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: check me out to Virginia Beach. Uh funny bout out
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: of Virginia Beach, Virginia. I'll beat that this weekend and
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: then the weekend out of the fourth. If you don't
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: make accident fast are you're not going anywhere spending some
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: time with you can't folk, Come on out to the
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Houston Improblem. I'm be in Houston, Carler and Tommy, I'd
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: be out in Houston. I need to make us that money,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: you know. Sorry, I need to pay my credit card
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: bills because I've been shopping on eBay and I'm killing
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: on eBay. Um oh, I'm killing the game on eBay.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna look shop at the Mug at my conferences
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: at five at our Grand Boulet is in New Orleans.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna look shop. Shout out my sor Rozafiba and
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: my brothers. Okay, um, I gotta shout out to the
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Jackson family. You know, Joe Jackson passed on. He passed on.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I have a joke that I tell him my actor
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Shirley you heard me tell this joke. Well, I say,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: y'all better have respect for Joe Jackson. Why because he
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: was a father and there would be no Jackson five
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: if it wasn't for them. Why because what other family
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: of Jehovah's witnesses could make the greatest Christmas album in
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: the history of man kind of Joe Jackson wasn't the father.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: We all bought it, and we knew that was jehov Winning.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: We respected that. But Joe Jackson was a good father,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: good businessman and father. The Janet and everybody, Reben all,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Jermaine and everybody. I know all their names. So I'm
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: just saying, when somebody pass on, let's not look at
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: the bad things that people talk about. Let's look at
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the good things and send them on the be with
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the Lord. Okay, Did I do that right? Did I
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: do that right? Like I had a lot of sense. Okay,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Well we're about to not have sense right now? Why
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: because everybody is in the uproar over the Supreme Court
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: up holding the presidential authority of our current president, President
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: of Trump. But don't worry, we can handle it. See,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: I gotta bring y'all some history into this um. The
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: reason that's some of this stuff is coming about is
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: because Trump verse right June, the United States Supreme Court
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: of help Trump's travel band and declared that I don't
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: even know how to pronounce this. Kura Matsu verse US
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: was no longer good law and was decided it was
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: wrongly uh utilized. Well, what law is this, brothers and sisters.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: It's the law of Kura Matsu verse the US in
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: nineteen forty four, and that was the Japanese internment that
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: they said the constitution. They had uphold the constitution and
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: now it was bad law. What is my point? You
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: could have a decision in nineteen forty four that they
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: say it's good law, and get into two eighteen and
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: they say it's bad law. Well, what else are you
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: talking about, Caryl Latherway, I'm talking about Plassy versus ferguson
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: eighteen ninety six landmark decision whether the Supreme Court of
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: holled the constitutionality of racial separation that separate but eagle equal.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: But then it was overturned. Why Brown versus the Board
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: of Education nineteen fifty four. Oh well, wait a minute, sherl,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: you're gonna go all the way back to eighteen fifty seven.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: That's right, the dread Scott decisions from dread Scott verse
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: Sefered eighteen fifty seven, the U. S. Supreme Court held
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: that a Negro, whether enslaved or free, could not be
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: a citizen of these United States, and had no standards
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: the suing federal court. But the Fourteenth Amendment of the
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: United States Constitution in eighteen sixty eight granted of African
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: America full citizenship. Why am I telling you this because
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: they may rule on something today that we can deem
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: bad law tomorrow, and that we need to look at
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: the fact that President Trump may have the authority to
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: do something, but his actions don't seem to be protecting
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: and defending the Constitution, and that borderlines on treason. So
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: let's get ready, brothers and sisters, and how can our
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: name Now. I'm not accusing him of treason. I'm not accused.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I'm just saying, if you're not upholding the Constitution, if
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: the actions that you're taking as the president of United
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: States are detrimental to the country, then we might as
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: well start looking at impeachment and treason charges if they
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: are realistically applicable. And now what are you talking about,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: brothers and sisters. I'm talking about the history of the law,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: and how does this connect to the Steve Harvey Morning Show?
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Because I know y'all was like, well, Sirl, how do
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: you know all this stuff? Gotta shout out my gun
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: sorority sister t Diane Surgeon, Who's the only person that
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: I know that can argue before the Supreme Court. Only
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: two people that I know personally that can do this.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I can't say the other the name because I don't
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: want to put their business on the street like that.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about, Sam Strawberry and my
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: good friend brother five Singma Harry Sutherland. But how do
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I connect Sigma and eater to this wave? Back in
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: the eighteen hundreds, who was representing Dred Scott. In eighteen
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: fifty seven, j Anthony Brown's ancestor Ja Ja was standing
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: for Jehosa Fat Anthony Brown. They called him jumping Jehosah
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Fat because when he loses a case, he jumped. I
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: didn't wint to a rundowns this black history. My mama
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: was brought to you by the Steve in June. That's right,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: super June Te. So we're shouting out our good brother
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Juris Prunus all the way back in eighteen fifty seven,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: jumping Jehosa fat Anthony Brown, the great great great great
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: grandfather of jack Man. But I wanted to bring y'all
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: some history that all is not laws and the Supreme
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Court configuration. That's why we gotta vote, that's why they
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: wanted to put Gorsic on the bench so they could
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: have the five to four ruling. But we can turn
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: it back. We need legislators to make better law and
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: not enforce bad law. And then we need them to
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: look at the presidential authority. We got a new type
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: of president in the White House, and he's not using
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: his authority for the benefit of the country. He's using
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: it to divide the country and our allies, and that
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: is not helping us. That's my point, and I brought
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: it into humorous thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: You said several things, very pointed laws and by laws
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: that were created over used famous court cases. I will
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: tell you I can guarantee you this. None of them
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: which our president know anything about that right about it? Now. Secondly,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: his only concern, he has no concern about dividing the country.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: He only has a concern about winning. That's a parents
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: of winning and his term as president. That's all he
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: cares about. It. Doesn't care about the people. Right He's
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: doing nothing for people. He's doing everything to wreck the
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Obama administration and his legacy. And that's what he thinks
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: his job is right now. He's just right, yeah, that's right. Nothing. Hey, Cheryl,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: hang on a minute. We're gonna come right back with you.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: All right, Cheryl, h We're back. We were talking last
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: break about, oh man, the political climate right now. We
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: were talking about, i mean, just everything that's going on
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: right now. Let's finish that thought, okay. And just because
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: you plan to your base and you're sticking to what
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: you run on, sometimes you gotta pivot out of that.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Even President Obama knew that he wanted to close Guantanamo,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: he knew he couldn't because where did all those people go?
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: You know. So to me, what you gotta understand when
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: you president, you have to look at what you ran on,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: but then look at what it's in the best interest
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: of the country. And we've got to get ready. We've
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: got to get ready. And I wish I had more
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: time to talk about Maxine Waters and what she was
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: really saying. For everybody that's against her, what she was
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: really saying is, don't give safe haven to meanness, don't
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: give safe haven to negative thoughts, don't give safe haven
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: for people who are advancing this narrative. You must make
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: the block hot all the time. She did not say
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: anything violent about nobody. She didn't say do anything violent
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: about nobody. She was speaking to the audience that she
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: was in front of. And the biggest thing you got
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: to understand that a restaurant or a business has a
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: right to refuse service to anyone. What they don't have
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: a right to do on a federal level is to
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: refuse service based on your race, your sexual orientation, or
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: your religious beliefs. That that's it. That's it. So if
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: they want you out because my workers are uncomfortable with
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: what you're advancing. As the spokesperson of this administration, and
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: they politely asked you to leave. What problem do we have.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: We don't have a problem. Don't try to be a
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: victim now when you've been victimizing people all of your
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: term with this speak on it. You're not the victim,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: and you and your daddy need to get somewhere and
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: set down with that. I'm sorry, did not go to
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: just like Huckabees I used to like, I'm from Arkansas
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: used I like him as a governor, but he's going
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: too far. You need to sit down with that. So
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: the girl got put out of restaurant. If she wasn't
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: co signing on all this garbage, they wouldn't want to
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: put you out of nothing. And it wasn't us. We
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: didn't do that. She didn't walk up to no soulfood restaurants.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: She didn't walk into Silvia's, Eminem's. You know, she walked
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: into a white, red hitting restaurant setting up and the
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: white people said, not up in here. Our workers ain't
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: happy about this, and they got the right to do it,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: just like they threw that lady out of the Mexican
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: restaurants because you're messing with the Messican people. I wouldn't
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: want to eat where I'm not want it, and they
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: and this is what happens to It was at a
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Huck camp people. She came in late. They made the
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: reservation under husband, so they didn't know who it was, right,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: So then when they came in, sat down, they even
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: game achieved fate and they drank and everything, and so
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: the workers called it yeah yeah for real. Yeah. And
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: then and then the workers called and they said, Sarah
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Huck being here, we ain't comfortable. So the lady drove
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: two hundred of miles that on the place, came down
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: and said, well, what y'all want me to do? So
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: they took a vote. They said we could put out
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: and so then she walked up she said, can I
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: talk to you for a minute. She didn't embarrass her.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: She walked outside. She said, I need to ask you
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: to leave because of these reasons. Well, doesn't every establishment
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: have the sign we reserve the right to refuse service
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: to anyone that's right that you know their business. They
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: put those signs up. But I really like what you
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: said about Maxine Waters, Cheryl, because he's really getting raked
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: over the coals about this, and by Democrats. You know,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: they're not sticking up. They're not stick king up for
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: her or sticking with her. They just don't stick together.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: And because she said, wherever the people go in this administration,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: challenge them, walk up to them and tell them you
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: are not welcome here. So then the President tweeted, he
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: got mad and tweeted, and and everybody's talking about how
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: she's trying to incite riots and he's calling for violence
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: and all of that, and that's she's definitely not doing that.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: She's just saying, yeah, she never used those words. She's
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: that's basically saying, clap back if you don't like it,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: just like they did at the restaurant with Sarah Huckabee.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: If you don't like something that this administration is doing,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: you have the right to clap back. But now they're
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: saying that she's calling for violence and all of that.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: And these are even some Democrats that are not even
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: coming to her defense. And and I've had debates with
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: my colleagues and talk shows and stuff, and they say, well,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: where does it stop, Where does it stop? It stops
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: that when you say I can't eat here because I'm
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: black or on this race, or when it stops is
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: when you say I can't eat here because of this religion.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: It stops when you say something that goes up against
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: federal law. But your political belief is not covered by
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: federal law. That's the issue, your political belief. Here's what
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: happens when you say to Muslims, you can't come into
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: this country, speak Steve, and then somebody in the restaurant
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: say you can't come in this restaurant. How you don't
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: see that? Right? You can't create the climate, and they're
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: not gonna sit through the weather man. That's a T
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: shirt like doctor law time. Still, you can't create the climate,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: and you don't want to sit through the weather. That's right, right,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: you need to play. Can you stand the raining over
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: there on your ass? You made the climate, that's right.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: When the hailstones are coming, you created the climate man.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: When they can tie the way through, you created the club.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: That's right. Right right now, you don't want to play
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: no more. That's right, because they're picking up your T
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: shirt said my favorite T shirt. Don't let your presence.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: That's right. Listen to me. And now Sarah huckinb is
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: gonna have a security detail where she needn't have secret service.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: But they're the ones that started the climate of this
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: negative discourse and when white people are rising up to
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: say this is wrong across the board. Now we know
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: we got an issue. But by Steve Harvey's let me
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: tell you something, I love that T shirt. I have
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: been saying that in comedy clubs, that hood people have
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: been saying to me. We need to let people know
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Trump gonna get your ass. What that's what everybody said.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: I love that T shirt. Go ahead, now catch your collar.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Catch it. In the name of Jesus, keep my jobs.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: But I'm just glad if we who hold the microphone
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: in radio can can enlighten, entertain, empower and elevate at
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: the same time and bring clarity to these issues because
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: our president wants to keep confusion. Yes, that's what he wants,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: because it distracts from what he's not doing. I bet
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Harley Davidson is not happy right now because of his terribs.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: And and then you messing with our allies and the
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: things that you're doing the Supreme Court. All you did
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: was uphold presidential authority. That's right. Change the laws. Man
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: is the best show today, Steve Harvard, thank you for this,

- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Here we got come Junior. It's really aggressive when we
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: talk to yes, listen to Okay. So Tammy is trying
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: to be a better person and not be with all
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: that drama with her friends and castmates. While she taught
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: to her pastor. Pastor John you'll know him from the
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: own net work when him and his wife, Yeah he
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: can preach, told Tammy to do an exercise, say something
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: positive about the ladies. So Tammy decided to do this
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: positive day retreat, bite all the ladies down and say
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: something positive to each other. But let me just say this,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: I'm so old. Jennifer trying to be a tough girl,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: a bad girl. I don't know where she getting where
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: that's coming from. That's bad acting, that's really anyway. Yeah
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: she turned. I didn't get it. I don't Yeah, but
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: surely Tammy told Shanny Lood that was a nasty rumor
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: about her, but she didn't want to tell her about
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: the rumor rumor though it was a rumor. So now
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: moving forward, they get to this retreat. Tammy told Shanny
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: move move anywife right. So Malaysia at the retreat told Jennifer,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: you better come clean about this room. So Jennifer and
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Tammy said that at the time back in the day.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: They used to beef with Evelyn a lot. So Shannie
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: was like, get to the rumor. What does that have
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: to do with me? So Jennifer said that there was
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: a rumor that Evelyn slept with Shawnee's ex. They beeted
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: out the name. But you have to assume we Sha,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: So that's what you have to assume that they were
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: talking about Shack. Well, Evelyn, roll with you down. She
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: broke down. She denied the room. Evelyn, It's true that
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: when you break down, it was true, I believe, and
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: I was very upset about this one. Evelyn was crying, Steve.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: You know her friendship, her and Shawnny are girls. They
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: are girls. She was very upset with the women bringing
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: this room up, you know they were. She was saying,
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: this room is old. She swore on her children. She
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: told Shanny to call her ex, which we're assuming was shock,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: and then about to talk this ship you cry for.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: I was clarity this ship because we need clarity on this.
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: This is wrong and we need clarity as anybody so much.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Come on, so stupid, it's so stupid, as you can imagine, Steve, everybody.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Shanny was shook. We gotta go more than the Steve
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: ify Morning the Show with thirty three after shut up,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: Tommy Sho, you're listening to Steve Hardy Morning Show. Well,
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: some very sad news. Joe Jackson, of course, the patriarch
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: of the Jackson family, has passed away. Family sources tell
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: TMZ that Mr. Jackson passed away about three thirty a m.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: Wednesday in l a Uh. He was hospitalized in June
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: UH this month with terminal cancer. Earlier, he had been
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: battling health problems for a while now. He was hospitalized
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: back in two thousand sixteen after coming down with a
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: high fever, but he bounced back not long after and
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: was seen partying in Vegas. His health was also fragile
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: after a stroke and three heart attacks back in two
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: thousand and fifteen. Joe Jackson had ten kids with Catherine,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: his wife more than sixty years. The two did not
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: live together and had a strained relationship for the last
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: years of his life, but they frequently interacted. Joe was
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: eighty nine. Sad news. I mean, you know, he got
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: a lot of heat for a lot of stuff. You know,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: after things came out that he spanked his kids and
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: whipped his kids. Whatever you want to say. Well, you know,
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: if it wasn't for him, come on, I never I
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: never held at it gives to neither, did I sank? Yeah? Boys, anyway,
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: so we got I don't know what to do. Yeah,
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: that was just during that time. That's what I tell
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: you what the Kids show turned into some stars. Yes
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: they did they Yes, Yes, he did, Yes he did.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: So I'm thinking about going in and kicking my kids.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: Ain't of No, he did not, Yes he was, yes, yes,
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: And I hope you know eight nine that's a full run. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: you know, I love to do eighty nine be a
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: nice run too, though. Yeah. He's the father of the
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: King of Yes he is, Yes, sir, No, man, he was.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: He was a dude. Man. He believed in hard, hard work,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: hard work. But um, anyway, yeah. Yeah. Joe Jackson Jackson St.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: Patriarch of the Jackson family, has died at eighty nine. Wow.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: Janet performed at the Radio Disney Music Awards. It was
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: the past Saturday, kind of like the same weekend as
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: BT Awards, and she mentioned her father's failing health and um.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: She had a good speech. She was an icon honored,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: you know at the Radio Disney Awards. It's so sad, Yes,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: it is. How's Janet doing? She seems to me? Yeah,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: she seems to be doing Janet doing your friends. I
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: haven't talked to her this week. I haven't talked to
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: her this week, but I would check on her. Excuse me,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: how would he know how Janet is doing? Well? He claims?
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: You know, well, you know, But I let me clear
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: something up for you. You didn't talk to her this week,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: you didn't talk to her the week before, and you
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: ain't spoken her the week before. But have you spoken
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: to her the week huh? But Steve, he did say
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: that she came with Tyler right to see his play.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: Remember when he was doing Mama's Boy. Did anybody see
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: the picture? No picture? Well, he didn't take a picture.
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: He didn't want to fan call Johnny. That's what we
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: call him, Shirley. All the pictures, this boy seeing us? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: that we know him. Him with two tall women, him
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: with baby clothes on him, was trying on the sas six, him,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: him at the half, him at the swimming He sent
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: pictures for everything. Ain't no picture, Jenny? Alright, Steve coming
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: up closing remarks right after this you're listening, Steve Harvey
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, here we are, last break of
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: the day. It's been a good day, good conversation. Again,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: our condolence is going out to the Jackson family at
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: the passing of the patriarch of the Jackson family, Mr
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Joe Jackson. He was eighty nine years old. And uh, anyway,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Steve closing remarks, is your it's on. Yeah, you know what,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: And I think I think, you know, he got a
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: bad rap for things. But those kids missed a father
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: and I bet they all grieving. And people talk about
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: what Joe Jackson did wrong? What about what Joe Jackson
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: did right? To do a lot of things right. So
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: in honor of that, I have to say, man, condolences
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: to the family. You know, Janet, Reaby, Marl and Tito,
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: they all they all struggling today. You know, I'm sure
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: they are because whatever problem you may have had at
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: the end of the day was your father and and
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: that's got to mean something to people. So I think
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: people should stop talking about the negative that Joe Jackson did.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: Like Sherylene Wood said what she called him. What about
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: the positive stuff he did? You know, he did a
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: lot of positive things. You know, but they only wrote
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: about the negative. He beat the kids, my daddy beat me. Okay,
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: I'm okay, So I'm good with that. Let's move on
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: to something else. Surely I have an idea, Okay, Um,
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: This idea is to just talk to people for a moment,
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: just about what is it you want. Just sit down
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: and just focus today on what it is you want.
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Explore your dreams, your aspirations, explore your imagination today. Sit
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: with yourself and aink about bright your future actually could be.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: If you want to really do something to lift your
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: spirits today, let your imagination run free. Open up your
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: mind to your dream capacity. Starting visioning things. Write it
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: down the things that you would love to see happen.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: If you could imagine yourself being anything, where would it be?
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: Where would it be? What would you do? If you
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: could be anything and you knew that there was no
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: chance of you failing at it? What would you do?
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: These exercises are great mental exercises to to give though
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: the imagination muscle and the dream muscle some practice. I
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: was talking to a young couple the other day, and
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: this young couple asked me for advice and why they
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: relationship had got so stagnant, all of us sudden, and
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: how they weren't laughing and having fun. And when they
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: got through talking to me, I told him, I said,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: one of the things that seems to me like you're
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: doing is you're not You're not planning anymore. You know,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: you can be in a couple, You could be a couple,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: or you can be in your life. If you stop planning,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: if you stop envisioning, if you stop dreaming, life get
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: real flat for you. That's if you're in a relationship,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: if you're a young couple, if you're old couple, if
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: you single sitting in the room by yourself, if you
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: stop imagining, envisioning, and dreaming, your life can start to
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: feel really flat. And what I do to boost myself
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: from time to time with my incredibly busy schedule. Sometimes
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: on the work I just imagine what is it all for?
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: What could I accomplish if I did this in my
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: wiles imagination. What would I love to see happen? Where
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: would I really like to go, What would I really
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: like to do, What would I really like to have,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: What would I really like to own? What would I
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: really like to buy? Where would I really like to see?
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: What would I really really love to do. It's a
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: great exercise, folks. It's an exercise in exercising that muscle
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: of imagination and dreaming and visioning, and it will keep
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: you moving forward. What gets people stuck is when they
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: stop having dreams and visions. The Bible says, a man
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: without a dream or vision show parish. And if you
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: see no future, if you have stopped imagining yourself intomorrow
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: in a better place, if you no longer or warning
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: things because you've been beat down by the process so
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: much that you think getting it is too difficult, you're
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: in trouble, my friend. But you can change that because
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: the Bible also says that a man is as he's thinking.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: So if you think positive thoughts, you can inflict a
