- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time? I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things, and it's not good to mother. Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta use that turn you
- 1:22Speaker 1: are you gotta turn to turn them out? Turn You
- 1:43Speaker 1: haven't got to turn them out of the turnout, turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come, come on your thing,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall will I fill martin. Everybody you are listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice, come on now, dig me one and only.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Man got a radio show. What God doing y'all? Huh,
- 2:16Speaker 1: what are doing? What are you doing in your life?
- 2:18Speaker 1: He's doing something, He moving, he working. Don't lose your
- 2:21Speaker 1: patience though, so I did that before. Don't lose your patience.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Don't don't. Don't get so sick of waiting that you
- 2:30Speaker 1: take matters into your own hands. Don't do that. Boy,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you blowing it? Listen to me. You're listening to somebody
- 2:37Speaker 1: who's done it that way. I had a dream. I
- 2:41Speaker 1: had a vision. I had some hope, I had some faith,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I had some aspirations. But I got a little impatient
- 2:48Speaker 1: waiting on it. So I tried a couple other things.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Move it along, But I can't tell you how I
- 2:53Speaker 1: messed it up. Then I messed it up then, because
- 2:56Speaker 1: God gave me the power of decision, what I had
- 2:58Speaker 1: to do was then if I took matters into my
- 3:01Speaker 1: own hand, messed it up. Now, guess what, He still
- 3:05Speaker 1: got something from me. But now I gotta fix all
- 3:08Speaker 1: the mistakes. Now I gotta straighten them out. I gotta
- 3:10Speaker 1: I gotta suffer some consequences. I gotta pay for my transgressions.
- 3:14Speaker 1: All of that, All of that, it's gotta go down.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You can't do something wrong and not pay for it.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's you call it, calma, call it whatever you wanna
- 3:25Speaker 1: call it. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction
- 3:30Speaker 1: every action. If it just stays sunny all the time,
- 3:34Speaker 1: you might think it's cool, but there's gonna be a
- 3:36Speaker 1: reaction to it. Ain't no dark, ain't no shade, ain't
- 3:39Speaker 1: no break, ain't no rain. Gonna be hard if it's
- 3:42Speaker 1: your sunny all the time, vice versa. So you need
- 3:47Speaker 1: you need the opposite. You need the darkness so you
- 3:50Speaker 1: can get your break from that sun. You need the
- 3:53Speaker 1: rain so you can nourish the roots so that sun
- 3:57Speaker 1: it can soak up the sun. And get the benefit
- 3:59Speaker 1: of the sun. If you don't get the opposite, you
- 4:02Speaker 1: got a problem, man. And it happens throughout nature, it
- 4:05Speaker 1: happens throughout your life. Don't think that you can do
- 4:08Speaker 1: wrong and not have to pay for that. Do you
- 4:12Speaker 1: think this is man? We we think man, because we'd
- 4:16Speaker 1: have made a decision that we think is best for us,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and no matter how it affect nobody else, we got
- 4:21Speaker 1: the right to make that call. No, you don't. Whoever
- 4:24Speaker 1: is telling you that, whoever's misguiding you into the gang life,
- 4:27Speaker 1: telling you, yeah, man, you need to be this way
- 4:29Speaker 1: to be down with us. I tell you what. Get
- 4:31Speaker 1: yourself stuck on chuck with that gang. See how many
- 4:34Speaker 1: of them be there for you. Oh, they'll go around
- 4:36Speaker 1: the corner with you and starts shooting. But okay, when
- 4:39Speaker 1: it's time to do some time and they can lessen
- 4:42Speaker 1: their centers, you're gonna get that time. They're gonna point
- 4:45Speaker 1: their finger dead at you. I watched for eight hours
- 4:47Speaker 1: all the time, man, I watched Lock Up Raw all
- 4:49Speaker 1: the time, all the time, man, all the time. Ain't
- 4:53Speaker 1: no real cold dudes out there, just holding to the
- 4:56Speaker 1: mantra and sticking to it. Even the mob turns, state
- 5:00Speaker 1: side evidence go fed all that. Now we are in
- 5:03Speaker 1: the honor hood. We didn't created this ignorant mess called
- 5:05Speaker 1: no snitching. With that hignorant mess, you don't even understand.
- 5:08Speaker 1: No snitching was created by criminals as a code of honor.
- 5:13Speaker 1: If you do dirt and you get busted doing the dirt,
- 5:15Speaker 1: don't bring my name up if I was with you.
- 5:17Speaker 1: That's a code of honor amongst the thieves. Now, so
- 5:20Speaker 1: many code of honor thieves that then came out of prison.
- 5:23Speaker 1: They ain't gotten no honor. They've been bought that stuff
- 5:24Speaker 1: back to the street. Now that's all in the neighborhood.
- 5:27Speaker 1: No snitching, No snitching, You got to be crazy. That's
- 5:31Speaker 1: for people who disobey the law. That's who people have
- 5:34Speaker 1: made a code of honor amongst themselves as thieves. Hey, man,
- 5:37Speaker 1: if you get busted, don't drag me down. What you
- 5:39Speaker 1: just do your time. Oh man, you can't bring that
- 5:42Speaker 1: stuff out here to me. I'm a law biden citizen dog.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm trying to live right over here, man. I don't
- 5:48Speaker 1: want to crack house up street from my mama's house.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm trying to do right out here, man, You can't
- 5:53Speaker 1: do wrong and expect wrong not to come to you.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You got to make a decision every day to do right.
- 5:59Speaker 1: God ain't got no tection you on dirt. You got
- 6:01Speaker 1: what you got coming. You made a decision. You go
- 6:05Speaker 1: down there to get some you might got get got See,
- 6:10Speaker 1: we got to come on. I'm talking to so many
- 6:13Speaker 1: men out here right now. I should have said that
- 6:15Speaker 1: adn't be getting but my conversation kind of got away
- 6:17Speaker 1: from me. I was going to talk to you about
- 6:18Speaker 1: something else this morning, but did just only man, because
- 6:21Speaker 1: our communities. Man, it's just going to the pot man,
- 6:24Speaker 1: because it ain't nobody can about nobody else. Don't nobody
- 6:29Speaker 1: care when they see that young dude over that doing wrong.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Look at them foods over that man, Go over there
- 6:33Speaker 1: and talk to one of them. Put them to the side. Man.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You might not be able to approach the group, but
- 6:38Speaker 1: you can approach an individual. Come in, young man, Let
- 6:41Speaker 1: me talk to you. I saw you the other day. Man,
- 6:43Speaker 1: you look like you got something going on in your life.
- 6:45Speaker 1: What's happening with you? Let me talk to you, man,
- 6:47Speaker 1: Let me share something I learned. I was doing what
- 6:50Speaker 1: you was doing. You know, it's like Tommy did a
- 6:52Speaker 1: prank phone call one time as a limo driver, and
- 6:56Speaker 1: the dude the prank was he called this limo company
- 7:00Speaker 1: to ask this limo driver to take him to this
- 7:03Speaker 1: location late at night, and the limo driver got a
- 7:07Speaker 1: young business He going, yeah, okay, I got you. I
- 7:09Speaker 1: don't normally work like that. But how long you need it?
- 7:12Speaker 1: He said for just by an hour. He said, well,
- 7:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to charge you for the full three though,
- 7:16Speaker 1: because a three hour minimum. Tommy told him, now, I
- 7:18Speaker 1: just need it for one hours. He said, okay, I'll
- 7:20Speaker 1: give you a break, young man. You're trying to do something.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Where you want to go? He gave an address. The
- 7:25Speaker 1: man stopped writing. He said, that's a bank. He said yeah.
- 7:30Speaker 1: He said, you want to go to the bank at
- 7:31Speaker 1: twelve thirty at night. He say yeah, and I'm gonna
- 7:35Speaker 1: be in for a few minutes. And when I come
- 7:37Speaker 1: out that bank, I need for you to flow it
- 7:41Speaker 1: that to dude with the limo. He stopped writing. He said, ho,
- 7:43Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, man, you want me to take
- 7:47Speaker 1: you to a bank twelve thirty at night. You're gonna
- 7:50Speaker 1: be in there for a few minutes and you're gonna
- 7:52Speaker 1: come out and you want me to float it. He said, sir,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I don't do stuff like that. He said, you got
- 7:58Speaker 1: the wrong company. He said, what made you call here?
- 8:00Speaker 1: He said, hey, man, don't worry about that. You a
- 8:02Speaker 1: limo come to you just dry. He stopped and took
- 8:05Speaker 1: the time out. He said, young man, let me tell
- 8:07Speaker 1: you something. He said. I've been down before, I've been
- 8:11Speaker 1: locked up before. It ain't pretty. He said, that's what's
- 8:14Speaker 1: wrong with you young people to day. Instead of going
- 8:16Speaker 1: to get a job, trying to work your way, you're
- 8:18Speaker 1: always looking for some fast money. He I'm gonna tell
- 8:21Speaker 1: you what I already know. Don't go down they're messing
- 8:23Speaker 1: with them people's money like that because they love that
- 8:25Speaker 1: money where more than they love you, and they're gonna
- 8:27Speaker 1: do something to you down now. Now, you stop this foolishness.
- 8:30Speaker 1: And I'm not caring you nowhere, but I'm gonna take
- 8:33Speaker 1: a little bit of time out to tell you something.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Don't go down here with messing with these people's money,
- 8:38Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna go good. They're gonna take care
- 8:41Speaker 1: of their business where they come to that money. Tommy
- 8:43Speaker 1: kept insisting to this man to pick him up in
- 8:45Speaker 1: the limit. It was a playing phone call. But the
- 8:47Speaker 1: point I'm making is the man took out time. He
- 8:50Speaker 1: could just hung the phone up. But you know what
- 8:52Speaker 1: he's said, he's a hold up young man. Let me
- 8:54Speaker 1: hip you to something. Because the brother had been locked
- 8:57Speaker 1: up before. He said, no, no, no no, I say, I've
- 8:58Speaker 1: done that when I was young. Now I'm gonna stop
- 9:00Speaker 1: and I'm gonna take some moment out to tell you.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna here, working man trying to earn an honest living.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I ain't going back down there because I don't. I don't.
- 9:07Speaker 1: They make you eat what they want you to eat.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You don't want the food. You gotta get up when
- 9:11Speaker 1: they say get up. You gotta stay where they say stay,
- 9:13Speaker 1: live with who they say live. He said, man, you
- 9:15Speaker 1: don't want that, and he just tried to talk the
- 9:17Speaker 1: young man out of it. You can change a young
- 9:20Speaker 1: man's mind with a conversation. A conversation can change a
- 9:24Speaker 1: young man's man. Most of these young men that are
- 9:26Speaker 1: misguided ain't having conversations with real men. They just not
- 9:31Speaker 1: having them. And it's up to us who know what
- 9:33Speaker 1: manhoo it is is to start delivering the message. The
- 9:37Speaker 1: problem that we have in our communities. We could solve ourselves.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It didn't escalated to a point because we who are
- 9:42Speaker 1: men won't stop on our corporate climb and our day
- 9:46Speaker 1: to day making money and trying to ball out. We
- 9:49Speaker 1: won't stop and grab some of these young soldiers and
- 9:51Speaker 1: tell them the truth about manhood. That's the real deal. Okay.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So I went there. I don't know where they came from.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening show, ladies and gentlemen. Here it is. It's
- 10:03Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Now. I've been starting off
- 10:07Speaker 1: with your songs that just out of nowhere, that just
- 10:11Speaker 1: meant something to me, And uh, I don't have one
- 10:15Speaker 1: this ja ja ja. Let me make love your blue. Yes, yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I don't know where that came from. I was talking
- 10:43Speaker 1: and he just blurted out and Eddie Lavertes came out. Man,
- 10:48Speaker 1: I don't know what it was. Just in me rolle
- 10:55Speaker 1: my bike down to Leo Casino when I was fifteen
- 10:59Speaker 1: years old because my brothers was going down there to
- 11:02Speaker 1: see the old Jay's. I rode my bike down now,
- 11:06Speaker 1: parked it on the side by the tavern, crawled in
- 11:10Speaker 1: the basement window, went up the steps to watch the
- 11:14Speaker 1: old Jay's body security God grab me and say, what's
- 11:19Speaker 1: your park hands doing in here? I just start holland
- 11:26Speaker 1: because I was so scared in this dude man my
- 11:28Speaker 1: little skin, he's I'm wa whip your hand. You come
- 11:31Speaker 1: up in here and out. But praise God, my brother
- 11:34Speaker 1: saw it. My brother walked up to him and said,
- 11:38Speaker 1: the hell you doing it here? Boy, I'm sorry, don't
- 11:41Speaker 1: fl whoop his assail, old man, you f whoop who
- 11:45Speaker 1: As a reprieve from the governor the red phone one,
- 11:50Speaker 1: I was on death row. This dude fit the beat me.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I got out, never saw the old Jay's never heard
- 11:56Speaker 1: a note. Oh that only good thing happened when he
- 12:02Speaker 1: put me back up through that. When you're gonna take
- 12:04Speaker 1: your little lass back up that whend you came out
- 12:06Speaker 1: of show me how you got in here, took him downstair,
- 12:08Speaker 1: showed him. I got to push my little lass back
- 12:10Speaker 1: up through the only good thing. Well, my bike was
- 12:12Speaker 1: still lad ain't golf, And I rolled back from fifty
- 12:15Speaker 1: fifth down to one hundred and twelve, went on in
- 12:18Speaker 1: the house. Ride your head from fifty fifth down to
- 12:23Speaker 1: one twelve. That's it. I used to ride downtown all
- 12:25Speaker 1: the time. Public square, one hundred and twelve blocks ride down,
- 12:30Speaker 1: Now that's a lot. You were in shape, weren't you.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't even know. It was a long
- 12:37Speaker 1: ass ride. It wasn't all the way to get out.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I ain't no money for no damn bus. Yeah, we
- 12:43Speaker 1: know you wouldn't take nobody with you. You know we've
- 12:46Speaker 1: done well. You do remember the time I tried to
- 12:51Speaker 1: take you somewhere. Your little lass kept falling off the handlebar.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You didn't want me, an't know how to hold on feet,
- 13:02Speaker 1: couldn't touch the nuts on the wheel in the front.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So now you just up there with your legs swinging.
- 13:08Speaker 1: You fell off the damn handaball. Not a ran over
- 13:11Speaker 1: your ass, God, damn ran. You ran like he fell forward.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I was little up. It was funny though. All right, well, listen,
- 13:33Speaker 1: we're all never apologize to you about that either. Oh,
- 13:37Speaker 1: now you're gonna said, I never apologize. We'll be back
- 13:41Speaker 1: with the cello right after this. You're listening to the
- 13:44Speaker 1: seven Show, Well it's time for Steve's favorite segment. It's
- 13:48Speaker 1: called ass the Cllo. Now, Steve you ready, Are you ready?
- 13:52Speaker 1: Stay ready? All right? Here we go. This one is
- 13:55Speaker 1: from tab and DC tab says, I'm forty nine and
- 13:58Speaker 1: I'm dating a man that's seventy four. Okay, he looks
- 14:02Speaker 1: like he's my age, and he's very athletic and energetic.
- 14:06Speaker 1: We have a big problem in the bedroom, and it's
- 14:09Speaker 1: not what you think. His problem is that he doesn't
- 14:12Speaker 1: know when to stop. The sex can go on for
- 14:14Speaker 1: an hour and I have to work, run errands and
- 14:17Speaker 1: do other stuff, so he needs to wrap it up sooner.
- 14:20Speaker 1: He admitted that he's on medication and a side effect
- 14:24Speaker 1: is increased sexual desire desire. He's called me a lightweight
- 14:28Speaker 1: and said he'll have to find someone else that is
- 14:30Speaker 1: up to the challenge. I hate it when he said
- 14:32Speaker 1: stuff like that. Do you think he's just joking. Well,
- 14:35Speaker 1: let's go over a couple of things. First of all,
- 14:41Speaker 1: First of all, the seventy four and last too long
- 14:44Speaker 1: in medication, he's lost feeling in certain areas, so the
- 14:49Speaker 1: lasting longest, don't worry. He'd have lost a lot of
- 14:52Speaker 1: feel he knew, so don't worry about that. That all
- 14:55Speaker 1: that hours and all that. Yeah, you know, you know
- 14:57Speaker 1: you need to pay you a lightweight. I need to
- 14:59Speaker 1: get some my health and the other thing you said,
- 15:01Speaker 1: was you forty nine and he seventy four? And he
- 15:04Speaker 1: looked your age? Now hold up, you're not going forward.
- 15:09Speaker 1: He's athletic and energetic. She says, he's seventy four, and
- 15:13Speaker 1: he looked your age. Ah, he seventy four, and you
- 15:20Speaker 1: look his age? I well, I looked at all of it.
- 15:28Speaker 1: When you ask me something, we're in here problems because
- 15:31Speaker 1: he might not be all that athletic and energetic. Just
- 15:34Speaker 1: your ass is older than forty nine physically, and maybe
- 15:38Speaker 1: that's what the problem is. Maybe you're thinking he more
- 15:42Speaker 1: than he really is because you ain't what you're saying
- 15:45Speaker 1: you are. Let the church say, man, lets men, sometimes
- 15:50Speaker 1: the answer is in your own damn question. I believe her.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Maybe she ain't an athletic. She ought to get athletics,
- 15:58Speaker 1: she would be more like forty most for the yen
- 16:01Speaker 1: your women still got it. So she ain't well. Well,
- 16:07Speaker 1: he sat in the fold. Well, he got medication that
- 16:09Speaker 1: increases his best viagral. That's what it is. What it
- 16:15Speaker 1: increases your what else? What it taking? Once again, if
- 16:19Speaker 1: you have something else, sir, please write into this show.
- 16:24Speaker 1: This became another second man. Yesterday, some dude took a
- 16:28Speaker 1: shot Yeah, a strawberry letter. Yeah, a shot and he
- 16:33Speaker 1: wasn't going through that pain, no mold. Okay, all right.
- 16:37Speaker 1: This one's from We're moving on. This one's from Delisa
- 16:40Speaker 1: in Chicago. She says, I'm a single female in my
- 16:42Speaker 1: late twenties and I'm a bartender. I met a new
- 16:45Speaker 1: guy in the bar. He was handsome and friendly and
- 16:47Speaker 1: always tipped well. He asked me on a date and
- 16:50Speaker 1: we really hit it off. He lives in an upscale
- 16:53Speaker 1: building with a doorman, and he drives a very nice car.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I asked him where he works, and he says he's
- 16:59Speaker 1: a kept man, and his sugar mama lives in the suburbs.
- 17:02Speaker 1: She's unhappily married and very rich. He said he sees
- 17:06Speaker 1: her only twice a month and gets paid well. He
- 17:10Speaker 1: asked me if I had a problem with it. I'm
- 17:11Speaker 1: trying to have an open mind. Is this a deal breaker? Well?
- 17:15Speaker 1: He not fitting to be yours. You know, you can
- 17:18Speaker 1: date him if you want to. You and your late
- 17:20Speaker 1: twenty you can date him if you want to. He's
- 17:21Speaker 1: he told you he's a kempt man. He not fitting
- 17:24Speaker 1: to be yours, and he not he not fitting to
- 17:26Speaker 1: be unkept so now you're not gonna get him. Let
- 17:32Speaker 1: me explay something to you when a man opened up
- 17:35Speaker 1: and tell you that it's for one reason and one
- 17:38Speaker 1: reason only, to see if you were willing to go
- 17:41Speaker 1: along with it. He ain't got nothing invested in you.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Hein't in love with you, so now he just wanted
- 17:47Speaker 1: to see if you want to go along with Are
- 17:49Speaker 1: you part of the other part of the game. I
- 17:52Speaker 1: can have a woman, and I'm be a kemptman, and
- 17:55Speaker 1: I can and I can get with this little young
- 17:57Speaker 1: fine thing, and you fitt to be the young fine thing.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And if you go along with it, that's it? Is
- 18:03Speaker 1: it a deal breaker? Do you want to share your man?
- 18:06Speaker 1: He ain't your man anyway, but do you want to
- 18:08Speaker 1: share him with somebody else? Yeah, you're not gonna get
- 18:12Speaker 1: a husband now it is. He had jiggled down jigg
- 18:15Speaker 1: los alright, get lonely too. All right, here we go.
- 18:20Speaker 1: You're gonna love this name. Steve Burtell Birtel urtellent Birtel says,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I'm a married man and I've been having sex with
- 18:34Speaker 1: my pastor's wife for about three weeks. We is to
- 18:39Speaker 1: date before either of us got married, and she's got
- 18:42Speaker 1: the best skills of any woman I've ever been with.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I made up all kinds of lies about about the pastor,
- 18:49Speaker 1: so my wife wouldn't want to join the church, but
- 18:52Speaker 1: she did anyway, and she dragged me to the church
- 18:55Speaker 1: with her. I knew it would only be a matter
- 18:59Speaker 1: of time before the lady got under my skin, because
- 19:03Speaker 1: we can't resist each other. I love wife of the
- 19:07Speaker 1: pastor's wife, and I have so much chemistry. How can

- 23:17Speaker 1: I ain't too keen or my mama going out with somebody,
- 23:21Speaker 1: and besides you, you don't even sound like you. Hey,

- 23:50Speaker 1: know she ain't coming after you right now. I remember
- 23:53Speaker 1: telling me that she trying some new things at this church.
- 23:56Speaker 1: But going out with some thirty thirty How do you
- 24:00Speaker 1: you do a baby? Man, I'm thirty. I'm thirty six. Dude, Man,
- 24:04Speaker 1: you like my brother something. Man, ain't no where in
- 24:06Speaker 1: the world my mama gonna be dating to say Okay, okay, Dan, Dan,
- 24:10Speaker 1: let me say this man. First of all, I ain't
- 24:11Speaker 1: even know I was calling you. Second of all, I'm
- 24:13Speaker 1: calling and speak w her. I'm not calling trying to
- 24:16Speaker 1: get permission from you. Miss Burns is a grown woman,
- 24:18Speaker 1: and whoa, whoa, whoa talking about now? I don't think
- 24:22Speaker 1: you're every man. I just came back from fighting overseed.
- 24:25Speaker 1: My pops passed away not too long ago. I am
- 24:28Speaker 1: the man of the house. Let's get that straight right now,
- 24:31Speaker 1: all right. I don't care if I'm still living at
- 24:33Speaker 1: home or not. I'm the man of this house, all right.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You calling the ass my mama on a date, you
- 24:39Speaker 1: might as well just stick the church dog, because you know,
- 24:41Speaker 1: as I said, be blessed, But it ain't gonna be
- 24:43Speaker 1: no blessing from me to you. I tell you that
- 24:47Speaker 1: right now. Okay, I'm not looking for a blessing from
- 24:50Speaker 1: you at all. Bro. You might no blessing, but I
- 24:54Speaker 1: respect the fact that you've been overseas and you've been
- 24:56Speaker 1: fighting for this country. Okay, But if I decide I
- 24:59Speaker 1: want victor Miss Burns about going out, I think missus
- 25:02Speaker 1: Burns has every right to decide if she would like
- 25:05Speaker 1: to go out with Gordon's or not. And Gordon wants
- 25:08Speaker 1: to take her out, I took up holding up. Look, brother,
- 25:12Speaker 1: I don't care how old you say you are, all right,
- 25:14Speaker 1: Number one, you're too young, as I already mentioned. All right,
- 25:17Speaker 1: this ain't going down with you and my mama. I'm
- 25:20Speaker 1: straight up, hey, man, that's for your mama to decide
- 25:24Speaker 1: that you you bringing up my mama. You letting the
- 25:26Speaker 1: word your mama come out your mouth again, that's gonna
- 25:29Speaker 1: get you up, all right. I don't know where you're from.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I don't give how old you are. I'm pretty sick.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I know what church my mamma go to and and
- 25:37Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be her and you you ain't gonna
- 25:40Speaker 1: be asking her out, all right. I don't give what
- 25:42Speaker 1: it takes. I would show up on Sunday, catch up
- 25:46Speaker 1: in the pulpit or wherever you're gonna be sitting in
- 25:49Speaker 1: the back of the choir. It don't matter. Something's going down.
- 25:52Speaker 1: You are not gonna get with my mama like that.
- 25:54Speaker 1: You got that. That's up for your mamma to decide
- 25:57Speaker 1: if your mamma want to go out with me down dinner.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I ain't knowing this, man, I'm deciding it right now.
- 26:03Speaker 1: It ain't gonna happen. I told you before, d blessed
- 26:06Speaker 1: or get your woo. You got two choices, all right.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I didn't fight see three years to come back and
- 26:13Speaker 1: also deal with my daddy did and then come back.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I'm suffering from PSD. Dog, I don't know what I'm
- 26:20Speaker 1: gonna do unless you want to get it like that,
- 26:22Speaker 1: suffering from one a PSD post traumatic stress syndrome, and
- 26:27Speaker 1: I will release all that on you. Got that. I
- 26:30Speaker 1: don't play. Hey man, listen, I don't want no trouble.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It don't matter to me. You can cant you. Okay,
- 26:36Speaker 1: Look man, listen, I ain't trying to have no trouble
- 26:38Speaker 1: about you. Man. All I'm gonna say is this right here.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna I talk to you mom on Sunday. Okay,
- 26:43Speaker 1: you ain't gonna tell them? Are you not hearing me? Man?
- 26:46Speaker 1: I'm okay, I'm crazy right now? Okay? Can I say this?
- 26:50Speaker 1: Can I say one more thing to you? Manfo you explode,
- 26:52Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing else to say. I got one
- 26:54Speaker 1: more thing before you explode, man, If you're listening, yeah, man, James,
- 26:59Speaker 1: what hey man? I want to tell you this. Man.
- 27:01Speaker 1: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Your mama got me the frank phone call. You get
- 27:13Speaker 1: out of here because who Hey man, This is nephew
- 27:16Speaker 1: Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Man, your mama
- 27:19Speaker 1: told me, she said, my son been overseas, he've been fighting.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I'm glad to have him home. She said. We gotta
- 27:25Speaker 1: hit him back in the spirit of laughing, Man, Mama,
- 27:30Speaker 1: are you are you kidding me? Man? We got you good.
- 27:32Speaker 1: We listen to this show overseas. Man. First of all,
- 27:37Speaker 1: I gotta say thank you for fighting for this country.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I want to ask you one more thing. What is
- 27:42Speaker 1: the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in
- 27:44Speaker 1: the land? Man, Nothing but the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Get it over season in the States. Though, Thanks man,
- 27:55Speaker 1: you always you know you did. Yes, you playing with much.
- 27:58Speaker 1: You're already well. Mama's me a little too, though, don't
- 28:04Speaker 1: I wish you would talk about dating? Man? I might
- 28:08Speaker 1: call you, might call you. All right, coming up at
- 28:13Speaker 1: the top of the hour, the US Surgeon General will
- 28:15Speaker 1: be our special guest you're listening to. All right, Hey,
- 28:22Speaker 1: let me make this introduction. Everybody, our special guests holds
- 28:25Speaker 1: a distinguished title of Surgeon General of the United States,
- 28:29Speaker 1: which simply means one thing everybody. He is the nation's doctor.
- 28:34Speaker 1: His goal is to advance the health of American people
- 28:37Speaker 1: with better health through better partnerships. And right now he's
- 28:40Speaker 1: focused on informing us on how we can slow down
- 28:43Speaker 1: to spreading of COVID nineteen and save lives. And we're
- 28:46Speaker 1: honor to have him join us for the first time
- 28:48Speaker 1: this morning. Please welcome to the Morning Show. Vice Admiral
- 28:52Speaker 1: Jerome m Adams. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, morning. Hey, it is
- 28:59Speaker 1: a pleasure to be here with you, and I gotta
- 29:02Speaker 1: tell you, it's also an honor to serve as just
- 29:05Speaker 1: the second African American male to be Surgeon General of
- 29:08Speaker 1: the United States, the other with doctor David Thatcher. And
- 29:12Speaker 1: I'm a big believer that you've got to see it
- 29:14Speaker 1: to be it. And uh, you know, I didn't see
- 29:16Speaker 1: a lot of black, black doctors growing up. The first
- 29:19Speaker 1: black doctor I ever met with when I was in college.
- 29:21Speaker 1: So it really all the challenge of the side is
- 29:26Speaker 1: something special to me to be able to just stand
- 29:29Speaker 1: on TV, to stand at that podium in the White
- 29:31Speaker 1: House and have other kids like me see that they
- 29:35Speaker 1: can be the Surgeon General of the United States. Well,
- 29:37Speaker 1: so I gotta tell you it is exactly the way
- 29:40Speaker 1: you're saying it is. It does sending nothing sends a
- 29:45Speaker 1: clearer message than a picture, and seeing you there it
- 29:49Speaker 1: does wonders not only for young people, but for those
- 29:52Speaker 1: of us that's been around for a little while to
- 29:54Speaker 1: see the advancements and the overcoming and the power of
- 29:58Speaker 1: dreams that can occur in a person. And you will
- 30:01Speaker 1: find example of that man, and we applaud you for
- 30:04Speaker 1: it in congratulations. So hey, well, thank you for saying that,
- 30:07Speaker 1: because a lot of people give me a lot of
- 30:09Speaker 1: flacks for who I work for and what I tell
- 30:13Speaker 1: people of. Our issues are too important to take four
- 30:15Speaker 1: years off from, and so I want your listeners to
- 30:18Speaker 1: understand that as Hey, i am the United States Surgeon General.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I'm thankful that I was nominated and appointed by President Trump.
- 30:28Speaker 1: But I'm the United States Surgeon General, and I'm here.
- 30:31Speaker 1: You may have heard the phrase before. If you're not
- 30:33Speaker 1: at the table, you're on the menu. And I'm gonna
- 30:36Speaker 1: make sure. I'm gonna make sure I'm at the table
- 30:38Speaker 1: trying to fight for the issues that we care about.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Because I grew up or, I grew up rural, and
- 30:44Speaker 1: I obviously grew up black. I talk a lot about
- 30:47Speaker 1: my brother, who actually has struggled with substance use disorder.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You all may have heard that my mother actually was
- 30:53Speaker 1: in the hospital over Thanksgiving. She fell at home and
- 30:57Speaker 1: was evaluated for a stroke and a hip fracture. So
- 31:01Speaker 1: I know what it's like to deal with poor health
- 31:04Speaker 1: and lack of opportunity, even as surge in general of
- 31:07Speaker 1: the United States. So I'm going to keep fighting. And
- 31:09Speaker 1: one of the things we got to fight for is
- 31:10Speaker 1: to get people to understand we have the tools to
- 31:13Speaker 1: overcome this COVID pandemic, but we need we need to
- 31:17Speaker 1: provide people with the governmental and institutional supports to do
- 31:22Speaker 1: the right thing, and then we need people to adopt
- 31:25Speaker 1: the behaviors that will help us overcome this virus. There's
- 31:28Speaker 1: got to be one two. It can't be all on
- 31:30Speaker 1: the people, and it can't be all on the government.
- 31:32Speaker 1: But together we can overcome this. So you I've heard
- 31:36Speaker 1: you speak before and and and and you want to
- 31:39Speaker 1: talk about things that we can do, and you call
- 31:44Speaker 1: them the three ws. What are those three w sir? Well,
- 31:49Speaker 1: one of the three ws is what your mother always
- 31:52Speaker 1: told you, wash your hands. Another one of the three
- 31:55Speaker 1: ws is to watch your difference. The way this virus
- 31:58Speaker 1: spreads like any other infectious disease, the closer you are
- 32:01Speaker 1: to someone, the more likely you are to get it.
- 32:04Speaker 1: So we tell people to stay six feet from others
- 32:06Speaker 1: and to avoid people outside of your household whenever you can,
- 32:10Speaker 1: and that will lower your chance of getting the virus.
- 32:12Speaker 1: And the third w is wear a mask. And what
- 32:15Speaker 1: I want people to know is that we've learned a
- 32:17Speaker 1: lot about this virus in the past year, and one
- 32:20Speaker 1: of the things that we learned is over fifty percent
- 32:22Speaker 1: of the people spreading the virus actually are what we
- 32:25Speaker 1: call asymptomatic, which means they don't have a fever, they
- 32:28Speaker 1: don't have a cost, they don't have a cold. Steve,
- 32:30Speaker 1: if you and I were in a room together and
- 32:32Speaker 1: one of us had a cold, the other one would
- 32:34Speaker 1: know it. I look at you and say, Steve, you
- 32:36Speaker 1: ain't looking so good. You and I need to stay apart.
- 32:41Speaker 1: You can't do that with COVID, and so unfortunately, a
- 32:44Speaker 1: lot of people are spreading it asymptomatically, and that's why
- 32:47Speaker 1: we tell them to wear a mask. And the other
- 32:48Speaker 1: important thing that I want people to really understand is
- 32:52Speaker 1: that we are a week or so away from beginning
- 32:54Speaker 1: to vaccinate people. But one of the greatest injustices in
- 32:57Speaker 1: this country right now, and people don't appreciate this, is
- 33:01Speaker 1: the differences in the number of people of color who
- 33:04Speaker 1: get vaccinated versus Caucasians. In any given flu season, about
- 33:09Speaker 1: fifty percent of adults get the flu shot, only about
- 33:12Speaker 1: forty percent of African Americans do, and that results in
- 33:15Speaker 1: thousands of Black people dying every year from a vaccine
- 33:19Speaker 1: preventable disease. To me, this is a social justice issue
- 33:23Speaker 1: because people are praying on our folks with misinformation that
- 33:26Speaker 1: is causing them to lose their lives. So follow the
- 33:28Speaker 1: three ws, get your blue shot. And I want everyone
- 33:31Speaker 1: to know that when I can get a COVID vaccine,
- 33:33Speaker 1: when they tell me, I can get one, and trust me,
- 33:35Speaker 1: I've seen the data. I've worked with the companies. I've
- 33:39Speaker 1: encouraged them to include African Americans in their trials, and
- 33:42Speaker 1: we've successfully gotten the numbers up. I believe that vaccine
- 33:46Speaker 1: will be safe and I will take it. And when
- 33:49Speaker 1: they tell me my family can get it, my family
- 33:50Speaker 1: will get it too. Okay, I'm sorry, Go ahead, Okay,
- 33:57Speaker 1: so you say it. Sorry that the vaccine is on
- 34:00Speaker 1: the way and you're saying within a week they're going
- 34:03Speaker 1: to be passing this vaccine. Now, well, they are going
- 34:07Speaker 1: to be evaluating the Visor vaccine this week and it
- 34:13Speaker 1: could be as soon as Thursday or Friday that they
- 34:16Speaker 1: approve it or authorize it, and when they do, we'll
- 34:20Speaker 1: be sending it out within twenty four hours. And what
- 34:22Speaker 1: we're going to do is make sure people who are
- 34:25Speaker 1: in nursing homes and long term care facilities get it first.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Then after that will probably be healthcare workers because our
- 34:31Speaker 1: hospitals are being overwhelmed by COVID cases and we can't
- 34:35Speaker 1: afford to lose a doctor or a nurse to COVID.
- 34:37Speaker 1: And then after that it will be people in the
- 34:40Speaker 1: next risk category of people with comorbidities like diabetes, high
- 34:44Speaker 1: blood pressure, and lung disease. And so we want to
- 34:47Speaker 1: immunize for impact. But again, a vaccine doesn't do anything
- 34:52Speaker 1: if people don't trust it or won't accept it. Okay,
- 34:55Speaker 1: Surgeon General, hang on one second, sir, we'll be right
- 34:58Speaker 1: back with more from vi Admiral. All right, we're back, everybody,
- 35:02Speaker 1: and we're really informative discussion with our nation's doctor. Surgeon General.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Vice Admiral Adams, So Steve. The other thing I'm doing
- 35:13Speaker 1: is working with the Divine Nine. I'm working with faith
- 35:17Speaker 1: based organizations. I'm working with historically black colleges and universities
- 35:20Speaker 1: to help people understand the process. And I don't want
- 35:24Speaker 1: to get too deep here, but we remember Tuskegee, and
- 35:27Speaker 1: one of the things that we've got to do is
- 35:29Speaker 1: acknowledge that people of color are right to have some
- 35:34Speaker 1: distrust of certain institutions. We got to acknowledge that, but
- 35:38Speaker 1: then we also have to address that. We've got to
- 35:40Speaker 1: tell them what we do now to make sure those
- 35:42Speaker 1: types of things can never happen again. And we have
- 35:44Speaker 1: independent data and safety monitoring boards, we have the Office
- 35:48Speaker 1: of Human Research Protections, we have things in place, systems
- 35:52Speaker 1: in place to make sure Tuskegee can never ever happen again.
- 35:55Speaker 1: And then we've got to engage with influencers. And I'm
- 35:58Speaker 1: working with the NFL. I'm working with again historically black
- 36:02Speaker 1: college of the universities, fraternities and sororities. We want people
- 36:05Speaker 1: to ask questions and don't ever be afraid to ask questions.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Ask those questions and demand answers. And then I want
- 36:12Speaker 1: you to know that I'm going to be there providing
- 36:14Speaker 1: answers and encouraging my colleagues to provide those answers so
- 36:17Speaker 1: you feel safe and so that you aren't disadvantaged by
- 36:21Speaker 1: being distrustful of something that could actually save your life.
- 36:25Speaker 1: So you're saying to us, predominant audience that listens to
- 36:29Speaker 1: this show is a huge group of African Americans, Latinos.
- 36:34Speaker 1: We have a huge white listening audience too, but overall
- 36:38Speaker 1: the scope is we have a very large black listening audience.
- 36:43Speaker 1: You're saying, though, that when this vaccine is released, that
- 36:48Speaker 1: is safe for people to take and they should lose
- 36:52Speaker 1: their fear of getting fascinated. I'm absolutely saying that, And
- 36:55Speaker 1: let me tell you why when you hear fast Track
- 36:58Speaker 1: you think that they've cut corners. The vaccine that they
- 37:03Speaker 1: are using right now is eighty to ninety percent similar
- 37:06Speaker 1: to vaccine technology they've been using for the last decade.
- 37:10Speaker 1: So the science isn't new. They just substituted one part
- 37:14Speaker 1: of the virus for another part of a different virus
- 37:17Speaker 1: to create this vaccine. The science is solid. And number two,
- 37:21Speaker 1: the corners that we cut were financial and administrative. We
- 37:26Speaker 1: did not cut the process for it. The science and
- 37:29Speaker 1: the safety is the same as it's been for any vaccine.
- 37:32Speaker 1: But what we did is we just threw a whole
- 37:34Speaker 1: lot of money at the problem, and we also started
- 37:36Speaker 1: manufacturing early, and we made sure we cleared any administrative hurdle,
- 37:41Speaker 1: so instead of it sitting on somebody's desk for three
- 37:44Speaker 1: four weeks, you get immediate, immediate and immediate look at things.
- 37:48Speaker 1: And so that's that's how we speed up the process.
- 37:51Speaker 1: And I believe it. It's been proven to be over
- 37:54Speaker 1: ninety percent effective. And again, the most reassuring thing I
- 37:57Speaker 1: can tell you is an I plan on getting the
- 37:59Speaker 1: back seam on live TV when they tell me that
- 38:03Speaker 1: I met my turn to get the vaccine. Hey, our
- 38:05Speaker 1: Surgeon General, hang on one second. We're gonna take another
- 38:08Speaker 1: break and we'll be right back with more This information
- 38:11Speaker 1: is critical to our community. We'll be right back. You're
- 38:14Speaker 1: listening to right everybody, We're back, and we've been having
- 38:20Speaker 1: a really really informative conversation with our Surgeon General. Vice
- 38:25Speaker 1: Admiral but Jerome m Adams, Now this week is national
- 38:30Speaker 1: immative Fluidly Okay, so Vice Admiral, this is what I
- 38:35Speaker 1: would propose to really help get our community locked into this.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I would like to propose that if you were sincere
- 38:43Speaker 1: about what you were saying, that the Steve Harvey Mourning show,
- 38:46Speaker 1: those of us who are willing would volunteer to do
- 38:51Speaker 1: you know, a viral video to get it out there
- 38:53Speaker 1: that we're taking the vaccination from the Vice admiral and
- 38:58Speaker 1: I mean from the surgeon generally you under the States.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I think that would send a real clear message, especially
- 39:04Speaker 1: to our community. Because I don't I don't really have
- 39:06Speaker 1: a problem with it. Let me ask you this question here, sir,
- 39:10Speaker 1: what do you think is to propose costs? Because I'm
- 39:16Speaker 1: hearing free, I'm hearing ten dollars. What do you think
- 39:20Speaker 1: would be the proposed costs for a person to get vaccinated? Fascinating?
- 39:26Speaker 1: We are doing everything within our federal authority and power
- 39:30Speaker 1: to give it to people for free. So what does
- 39:32Speaker 1: that means? That means we are we paid for the
- 39:34Speaker 1: vaccine on the part of the federal government. The vaccine
- 39:37Speaker 1: itself is free. We paid for the needles and the
- 39:39Speaker 1: syringes and we're sending them out to people, so that's
- 39:42Speaker 1: going to be free. But a doctor or a nurse
- 39:45Speaker 1: can charge you a certain fee to administer it and
- 39:49Speaker 1: it won't be any more than ten dollars, but most
- 39:51Speaker 1: people should be able to get it completely for free
- 39:54Speaker 1: because their insurance will cover it. Okay, I understand what
- 39:58Speaker 1: you're saying now, so let me ask you question. So
- 40:01Speaker 1: I'm hearing two things. There's a there's a one shot vaccine,
- 40:05Speaker 1: and there's a two part vaccine. Which is it? Which
- 40:08Speaker 1: one's is coming out by Fiso, Which one's coming out
- 40:11Speaker 1: by Maderno, Which which one is which? So the first
- 40:16Speaker 1: one that is expected to come out as the Fiser vaccine,
- 40:19Speaker 1: and that was shown to be ninety five percent effective.
- 40:22Speaker 1: That is a two shot vaccine. You get one dose
- 40:25Speaker 1: and then twenty one days theater you get the second
- 40:28Speaker 1: booster dose. The next vaccine that is cheat up to
- 40:31Speaker 1: come out as a Maderna vaccine that again is ninety
- 40:35Speaker 1: ninety five percent effective. That is also a two dose vaccine.
- 40:39Speaker 1: We're working with Johnson and Johnson to get their one
- 40:41Speaker 1: dose vaccine ready, but that's not going to be ready
- 40:46Speaker 1: for several weeks at least. They're still doing the studies.
- 40:50Speaker 1: But if that one comes through, the great thing is
- 40:52Speaker 1: again that's one dose of a vaccine, so it's going
- 40:55Speaker 1: to be easier for people. But what I would say
- 40:58Speaker 1: to people is whatever vact scene you can get, if
- 41:02Speaker 1: it's approved by the FDA or authorized by the FDA,
- 41:05Speaker 1: I think whichever one they offer, because you want that protection.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Black people and brown people are disproportionately dying from this virus.
- 41:14Speaker 1: And if we authorized a vaccine, I can tell you
- 41:17Speaker 1: it's going to be safe and it's going to be
- 41:19Speaker 1: reasonably effective. And that's the way we end this pandemic
- 41:22Speaker 1: and get back to normal. And I just want to
- 41:23Speaker 1: hit on one other thing that's important to the African
- 41:25Speaker 1: American community. Last week, I put out a call to
- 41:28Speaker 1: action on maternal health, pointing out the fact that black
- 41:33Speaker 1: women are three times it's likely to die as white
- 41:36Speaker 1: women from pregnancy related complications. And what does that have
- 41:39Speaker 1: to do with COVID. Well, we know that COVID puts
- 41:42Speaker 1: you at higher risk for complications if you're pregnant, number
- 41:45Speaker 1: one and number two, many women aren't getting their prenatal
- 41:47Speaker 1: care because they're scared of COVID. So these disparities are
- 41:51Speaker 1: going to become even greater. And the shocking thing, if
- 41:54Speaker 1: it doesn't matter how rich or famous you are. Beyonce
- 41:58Speaker 1: almost died from pre Ecclancia when she was having her baby.
- 42:01Speaker 1: It doesn't matter how athletic you are. Serena Williams, who
- 42:04Speaker 1: I consider the best athlete in the world, almost died
- 42:07Speaker 1: due to pregnancy related complications. There's something about being black,
- 42:12Speaker 1: and we have to dig into the bias, the racism
- 42:15Speaker 1: that exists in our society. But we've also got to
- 42:18Speaker 1: arm people with the facts to do what they can
- 42:20Speaker 1: to protect themselves. So please tell people to go to
- 42:23Speaker 1: search in general dot gov. Check out that call to
- 42:26Speaker 1: action as well as the one I put put out
- 42:28Speaker 1: on blood pressure control in October, because uncontrolled blood pressure
- 42:32Speaker 1: is going to kill more people this year than what
- 42:34Speaker 1: COVID will, believe it or not, and that also disproportionately
- 42:37Speaker 1: affects African Americans in Latinos. And I'll tell you I
- 42:41Speaker 1: without giving blue shot a few weeks ago, if any
- 42:43Speaker 1: of you haven't gotten your flu shot now, this week
- 42:46Speaker 1: is National Immuni Flu Immunization Week, and I'm happy to
- 42:50Speaker 1: come do that too. Hey, one more time. I hate
- 42:53Speaker 1: to keep saying one more time, sir, but really this
- 42:55Speaker 1: is really valuable information for our listening Gordon, So if
- 42:58Speaker 1: you could just hang on, we'll be back, everybody with
- 43:01Speaker 1: more from the Surgeon General. You're listening, all right, everybody,
- 43:07Speaker 1: We're back, and we've been having a really really informative
- 43:11Speaker 1: conversation with our surgeon general, Vice Admiral but Jerome m Adams, okay, so,
- 43:18Speaker 1: Vice Admiral, this is what I would propose to really
- 43:22Speaker 1: help get our community locked into this. I would like
- 43:26Speaker 1: to propose that, if you were sincere by what you
- 43:30Speaker 1: were saying, that the Steve Harvey mourning show, those of
- 43:33Speaker 1: us who are willing would volunteer to do, you know,
- 43:37Speaker 1: a viral video to get it out there that we're
- 43:40Speaker 1: taking the vaccination from the Vice Admiral, and I mean
- 43:44Speaker 1: from the Surgeon General the United States. I think that
- 43:46Speaker 1: would send a real clear message, especially to our community.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Because I don't I don't really have a problem with it.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Let me ask you this question here, sir, what do
- 43:56Speaker 1: you think it is to propose costs? Because I'm hearing free,
- 44:03Speaker 1: I'm hearing ten dollars, what do you think would be
- 44:06Speaker 1: the proposed costs for a person to get vaccinated? Fascinating?
- 44:11Speaker 1: We are doing everything within our federal authority and power
- 44:16Speaker 1: to give it to people for free. So what does
- 44:18Speaker 1: that mean? That means we are we paid for the
- 44:20Speaker 1: vaccine on the part of the federal government. The vaccine
- 44:23Speaker 1: itself is free. We paid for the needles and the syringes,
- 44:26Speaker 1: and we're sending them out to people, So that's going
- 44:28Speaker 1: to be free. But a doctor or a nurse can
- 44:31Speaker 1: charge you a certain fee to administer it, and it
- 44:35Speaker 1: won't be any more than ten dollars. But most people
- 44:37Speaker 1: should be able to get it completely free because their
- 44:40Speaker 1: insurance will cover it. Okay, I understand what you're saying now,
- 44:44Speaker 1: so let me ask you this question. So I'm hearing
- 44:47Speaker 1: two things. There's a there's a one shot vaccine, and
- 44:51Speaker 1: there's a two part vaccine. Which is it, Which one's
- 44:54Speaker 1: is coming out by Fizer, Which one's coming out by Maderno,
- 44:58Speaker 1: Which which one is which? So the first one that
- 45:02Speaker 1: is expected to come out as the Fiser vaccine, and
- 45:05Speaker 1: that was shown to be ninety five percent effective, that
- 45:08Speaker 1: is a two shot vaccine. You get one dose and
- 45:11Speaker 1: then twenty one days later you get the second booster dose.
- 45:15Speaker 1: The next vaccine that is cheered up to come out
- 45:17Speaker 1: as a Maderna vaccine that again is ninety ninety five
- 45:21Speaker 1: percent effective. That is also a two dose vaccine. We're
- 45:25Speaker 1: working with Johnson and Johnson to get their one dose
- 45:28Speaker 1: vaccine ready, but that's not going to be ready for
- 45:33Speaker 1: several weeks at least. They're still doing the studies. But
- 45:36Speaker 1: if that one comes through, the great thing is again
- 45:38Speaker 1: that's one dose of a vaccine, so it's going to
- 45:41Speaker 1: be easier for people. But what I would say to
- 45:44Speaker 1: people is whatever vaccine you can get if it's approved
- 45:48Speaker 1: by the FDA, are authorized by the FDA, I think
- 45:52Speaker 1: whichever one they offer, because you want that protection. Black
- 45:56Speaker 1: people and brown people are disproportionately dying from this virus.
- 46:00Speaker 1: And if we authorized the vaccine, I can tell you
- 46:03Speaker 1: it's going to be stafe and it's going to be
- 46:04Speaker 1: reasonably effective, and that's the way we end this pandemic
- 46:07Speaker 1: and get back to normal. Okay, so tell our audience
- 46:12Speaker 1: what exactly will the vaccine do. So, what the vaccine
- 46:17Speaker 1: will do is express parts of the virus or things
- 46:22Speaker 1: that look like the virus. So the Maderna and the
- 46:24Speaker 1: Fiser vaccine express what's called the spike protein, which is
- 46:28Speaker 1: on the virus and not the full virus. So you
- 46:31Speaker 1: can't become infected with COVID by getting the vaccine. I
- 46:33Speaker 1: want people to know that. And then your body develops
- 46:36Speaker 1: an immune response to that part of the virus so
- 46:39Speaker 1: that when it is exposed to the virus, it then
- 46:42Speaker 1: attacks the virus. And that's how vaccines work. We give
- 46:46Speaker 1: you a piece of a virus or a virus that
- 46:50Speaker 1: is attenuated or can't hurt you anymore to build so
- 46:54Speaker 1: that your body responds to it and build up immunity
- 46:57Speaker 1: to it. And so that's what it's doing. And these
- 46:59Speaker 1: vacs have been shown to be not only incredibly safe,
- 47:03Speaker 1: but again ninety to ninety five percent effective. And I
- 47:06Speaker 1: want you to understand that the flue vaccine in any
- 47:09Speaker 1: given year is only about sixty percent effective, which still
- 47:14Speaker 1: is good enough to save many lives. But these vaccines
- 47:17Speaker 1: are nine ninety five percent effective. So we can end
- 47:19Speaker 1: this pandemic. But what I fear. What I fear is
- 47:23Speaker 1: will have this vaccine and disparity will widen because quite frankly,
- 47:28Speaker 1: white people will get it and people of color won't,
- 47:31Speaker 1: and you'll see people of color continue to die. That's
- 47:33Speaker 1: what I'm scared of. That's what I don't want to happen,
- 47:36Speaker 1: and that's why I'm on your show today. But that's
- 47:39Speaker 1: also why again I'm working with all these organizations to
- 47:42Speaker 1: help promote competence in this vaccine. So these vaccines that
- 47:46Speaker 1: come out, that's two part after a person receives the
- 47:49Speaker 1: first part, and one is a twenty one day weight
- 47:53Speaker 1: with fiser and another one isn't whatever the weight is.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Between the waiting period, we are we to continue with
- 48:02Speaker 1: the three ws. Wear a mask, wash your hands, and
- 48:05Speaker 1: watch your distance. Absolutely because vaccines, even when you get them,
- 48:11Speaker 1: they still don't ensure that you can't get infected by
- 48:15Speaker 1: the virus. What they do is they decrease the chance
- 48:17Speaker 1: that you will get sick, get hospitalized, and they also
- 48:22Speaker 1: but you still can get infected. And remember ninety five
- 48:25Speaker 1: percent still isn't one. So even if it's ninety five
- 48:28Speaker 1: percent effect, and you could be in that five percent
- 48:31Speaker 1: and you could get it and still be harmed. So
- 48:33Speaker 1: we still need to follow the three ws. But what
- 48:35Speaker 1: the vaccine does is it will decrease the number of
- 48:38Speaker 1: people who get hospitalized, so our hospitals don't get overflowed,
- 48:42Speaker 1: the decrease the number of people who die, they'll decrease
- 48:45Speaker 1: the spread. And my hope is that by summer of
- 48:48Speaker 1: next year we will suppressed the virus to the point
- 48:52Speaker 1: that we can again get back to some sense of normal.
- 48:55Speaker 1: But we certainly that'll start as soon as we get
- 48:58Speaker 1: our vulnerable vaccinated, which is we're gonna start doing again,
- 49:01Speaker 1: hopefully within a week or two. Well, sir, h mister doctor,
- 49:08Speaker 1: the Surgeon General, Vice Admiral, you've certainly given us some
- 49:15Speaker 1: amazing information and we needed to hear it from you,
- 49:18Speaker 1: and we thank you for coming on. We're definitely on
- 49:22Speaker 1: this show and not holding it against who is in
- 49:26Speaker 1: the administration right now because you came on here and
- 49:30Speaker 1: you spoke the truth. I mean, you know, that's all
- 49:33Speaker 1: we've been wanting, just truth, just tell us what it is.
- 49:37Speaker 1: And for you to come on as the Surgeon General
- 49:39Speaker 1: and talk to us with such a compassion and concern
- 49:44Speaker 1: for people who look like you, it's just really really
- 49:48Speaker 1: speaks volumes for the type of person you are and
- 49:51Speaker 1: on behalf of all of our listeners. And we really
- 49:54Speaker 1: appreciate you, sir, and thank you for all that you do. Hey,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I appreciate it to I don't believe God puts you
- 50:01Speaker 1: where you're going to be comfortable, but I believe God
- 50:03Speaker 1: puts you where you're going to be needed, and I'm
- 50:06Speaker 1: here because I feel like I'm needed. I'm going to
- 50:08Speaker 1: keep working hard to protect all Americans, but especially people
- 50:12Speaker 1: who have been disproportionately hit by health disparities. And unfortunately
- 50:17Speaker 1: that means black and brown people in this country are
- 50:20Speaker 1: going to get the bulk of my attention because they're
- 50:23Speaker 1: whose hardest hit. But also people in rural areas, people
- 50:26Speaker 1: who are people who are who are poor and disadvantage.
- 50:30Speaker 1: That's we've got to lift up. And I'm willing to
- 50:33Speaker 1: work with you in any way we can to lift
- 50:35Speaker 1: up those populations. Steve, give everyone the best chance to
- 50:38Speaker 1: live their healthiest life. Well, I'm telling you I will
- 50:41Speaker 1: volunteer to come and do something for social media with you.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Absolutely to do something big. Take the shot, you administer
- 50:50Speaker 1: the shot tell me. I mean, I mean, I don't
- 50:52Speaker 1: know what would make a better signal than to have
- 50:55Speaker 1: a black man issuing the vaccine to another black person
- 51:01Speaker 1: and they understand it. I just think it would speak volumes.
- 51:04Speaker 1: And I'm not just saying it as a gimmick. I mean, look,
- 51:07Speaker 1: we're not gonna make money off of this. We're trying
- 51:09Speaker 1: to save lives here and get people not to be
- 51:13Speaker 1: buried by ignorance, you know, and we all understand, like
- 51:16Speaker 1: you said, very eloquently, what happened to Tuskegee. Well, we're
- 51:20Speaker 1: not gonna let that happen again, you know. And I
- 51:24Speaker 1: just thank you, sir, and hopefully, man, we can get
- 51:28Speaker 1: through this. And well not hopefully, but we'll get through this,
- 51:31Speaker 1: and maybe we could do something with the Morning Show
- 51:35Speaker 1: and really give this thing a big joke. Well, let's
- 51:40Speaker 1: let's do it. Everyone, be concerned about the numbers, be
- 51:45Speaker 1: cautious in your actions, but have confidence that we've got
- 51:48Speaker 1: the tools to get through this. Ender. The Surgeon General
- 51:51Speaker 1: of the United States and the Morning Show are gonna
- 51:53Speaker 1: be right there alongside you all to make sure you're
- 51:56Speaker 1: getting the tools and the information you need to you
- 52:00Speaker 1: can be healthy. So thank you, Thank you, sir. Ladies
- 52:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen, please show you love. The Surgeon General of

- 53:41Speaker 1: something else? Dear Stephen Shirley, I married my high school sweetheart,
- 53:46Speaker 1: and we have one child together. We had joined the Coastguard.
- 53:50Speaker 1: He had joined the Coastguard, and I chose to put
- 53:52Speaker 1: aside my career plans in order to follow him around
- 53:55Speaker 1: wherever he is stationed because I was very much in
- 53:59Speaker 1: love with this man. We are now in a very
- 54:01Speaker 1: small town, and I find myself lost and lonely. On
- 54:05Speaker 1: his days off, he goes hunting with his buddies and
- 54:08Speaker 1: he just hangs around his buddies all the time while
- 54:12Speaker 1: I take care of our one year old son. Every day,
- 54:15Speaker 1: every time I ask him to spend time with me
- 54:17Speaker 1: and our son, he always suggests that one of his
- 54:19Speaker 1: buddies comes with us. I cooked our first turkey for
- 54:23Speaker 1: Thanksgiving this year, and he insisted that we spend Thanksgiving
- 54:27Speaker 1: at his buddies house instead. I feel like he has
- 54:30Speaker 1: neglected me, and I have complained to him about it,
- 54:33Speaker 1: but nothing's changed. I am full of resentment now because
- 54:37Speaker 1: I can't help but think I should have continued with
- 54:39Speaker 1: my college classes and never married him. But I'm in
- 54:43Speaker 1: this situation, so I have to make the most of
- 54:45Speaker 1: it for my son. When I address all of his
- 54:48Speaker 1: concern all of my concerns with him. He comes off
- 54:50Speaker 1: very selfish and our arguments have been really stressing me out.
- 54:55Speaker 1: If it wasn't for the fact that he does really
- 54:57Speaker 1: love hanging with his buddies, I think he was hunting
- 55:00Speaker 1: something besides. Dear. If he's cheating on me, then I
- 55:05Speaker 1: will have to reconsider everything. At this point, I have
- 55:09Speaker 1: no life and no friends in this area that where
- 55:13Speaker 1: we live. What is up with my husband? Please advise? Wow,
- 55:19Speaker 1: you're very much in love with him, you said at first,
- 55:22Speaker 1: I think you're concentrating on the wrong person here. I
- 55:25Speaker 1: think you're concentrating way too much on him and not
- 55:29Speaker 1: enough on you. I mean, you cannot change this man.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Surely he showed some of these signs. You know, when
- 55:35Speaker 1: you guys were dating and you gave up everything to
- 55:40Speaker 1: be with him. You stopped college everything, you know. That's
- 55:43Speaker 1: one thing that and I'll say this woman should never,
- 55:46Speaker 1: you know, stop being who they are for a man.
- 55:49Speaker 1: You should never stop doing that. If you want to change,
- 55:52Speaker 1: you're gonna have to be the one to do the changing.
- 55:55Speaker 1: So far, all I see is you going along with
- 55:57Speaker 1: everything he says and done. You cooked a y for
- 56:00Speaker 1: your family. He insisted that you go over to his
- 56:03Speaker 1: buddy's house for Thanksgiving. Something's going on here. Either. He
- 56:07Speaker 1: doesn't like you, he doesn't enjoy you anymore. He's not
- 56:11Speaker 1: into family. And you don't like any of this either.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I mean, but you do. You go along with it.
- 56:18Speaker 1: You go along with whatever he asked. You even gave
- 56:20Speaker 1: up your career. Like I said. Meanwhile, he doesn't have
- 56:24Speaker 1: to do anything to make you happy. I mean, you
- 56:26Speaker 1: haven't said that he's done anything for you in this letter.
- 56:29Speaker 1: You're miserable, and like you say, you're full of resentment. Now.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I think it's gonna stay that way unless you start
- 56:35Speaker 1: changing some things about yourself. The only person you can change.
- 56:39Speaker 1: We say this all the time is yourself. By the way,
- 56:42Speaker 1: please stop being so agreeable. You got to learn to
- 56:45Speaker 1: maybe negotiate, you know, to get what you want. And
- 56:49Speaker 1: if that doesn't work, then it doesn't sound like this
- 56:51Speaker 1: is a man for you, and you and the baby
- 56:54Speaker 1: probably need to move on. Okay, Steve, Okay, See, because
- 57:05Speaker 1: I'm from the country, I have such an interesting knowledge
- 57:11Speaker 1: about hunting. I don't like hunting myself. I've had to
- 57:17Speaker 1: do it many times when I was younger, but when
- 57:21Speaker 1: I was able to make the choice. I didn't like hunting.
- 57:25Speaker 1: It's just not for me. But I'm gonna tell you
- 57:27Speaker 1: something about hunting. But we're gonna get that into a second. Now,
- 57:31Speaker 1: you married your high school sweetheart. He joined the coast Guard.
- 57:34Speaker 1: You dropped everything because you loved this man, and you
- 57:37Speaker 1: followed him. You gave up everything, so no matter where
- 57:41Speaker 1: he went was stationed, you went. On his days off,
- 57:46Speaker 1: he goes hunting with his buddies, and he just hangs
- 57:49Speaker 1: around his buddies all the time. And I take care
- 57:51Speaker 1: of one year old son every day. And then when
- 57:54Speaker 1: you're ask him to spend time with you and the boy,
- 57:56Speaker 1: he suggests that one of his buddies come with us.
- 58:01Speaker 1: You got a couple problems here them damn deal and
- 58:05Speaker 1: his buddies because he would run of them all the time.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Now that's a little odd right there. I cooked out
- 58:13Speaker 1: first turkey for Thanksgiving this year. He assisted you spend
- 58:17Speaker 1: Thanksgiving that at your buddy's house. Now, ma'am, I'm not
- 58:21Speaker 1: gonna you know, judge, you're cooking. I don't know how
- 58:24Speaker 1: you are what this year first turkey. I don't know
- 58:27Speaker 1: if he didn't had your other food and decided, you know,
- 58:30Speaker 1: he wasn't gonna do the turkey at the house too.
- 58:34Speaker 1: But I'm well, this ain't about your cooking. It ain't
- 58:38Speaker 1: about your cooking. It's probably not up. But I understand
- 58:42Speaker 1: the woman's hurting, and you should be. And because you
- 58:46Speaker 1: complain and he's neglected you and nothing's changed, and now
- 58:51Speaker 1: you are full of resentment and you should be because
- 58:55Speaker 1: you can't help but think you shouldn't have gave up
- 58:57Speaker 1: everything and followed this man, but you know, you in love.
- 59:00Speaker 1: That's what people do all the time. There is a
- 59:03Speaker 1: way to correct this, But I'm gonna give you some
- 59:05Speaker 1: information when we come back about hunting that might be
- 59:11Speaker 1: able to help. All right, Steve, we'll have part two
- 59:14Speaker 1: of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 59:16Speaker 1: the hour. Is he hunting deer or something else? As
- 59:19Speaker 1: the subject. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 59:22Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's
- 59:26Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is he hunting deer
- 59:30Speaker 1: or something else? Did we ever find out where this
- 59:33Speaker 1: letter was written from? Yeah? Alaska? Alaska? Yes, Alaska. Well
- 59:41Speaker 1: hold on, that changes everything. Hold on so to do so?
- 59:45Speaker 1: So now there could be Alaska. It's Alaska. All the
- 59:51Speaker 1: towns is small in Alaska. And this changes the game,
- 59:57Speaker 1: because see, I was gonna give you some information. You
- 59:59Speaker 1: marry much in love with him. On his days off,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: he goes hunting with his buddies, and he just hang
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: around him all the time. And y'all got a one
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: year old son. Every time you have to spend time
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: with y'all, he suggests that one of his buddies come along.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Then this year, you cook your first turkey. First turkey
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: probably I don't know if you bought that turkey or
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: he went out and got it. Look hunting from the first,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: but you cook your first turkey now, and he assisted
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: that y'all go over his buddy house to eat. Now,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: let's not talk about the cooking now. You know, maybe
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: he don't want to try the turkey because he's I
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: had your chicken, and a turkey way bigger than a chicken.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: So if you can't cook a little heads chicken, he
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: probably don't see nowhere in hell he gonna be able
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: to enjoy his damn turkey. But that's neither here nor that. No,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: thank you, you gave up your life to follow this man,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: and now you regret it, and you're starting to feel resentment,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: and you should because you could have continued with your
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: college classes and never married him. But you in this situation.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Hard to find somebody new in Alaska. It's just hard.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: We ain't gonna tell where you're gonna find nobody new
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: in Alaska. That's some cold brothers up there. Well, I'm
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: gonna tell you about hunting now. For you to say
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: that a man is hunting every weekend if he was
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: down in the lower fifty States, I would understand, because
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: hunting is seasons. If you the biggest prize people hunt
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: for down here is like, dear Elk, those are the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: big prizes down here. But those hunting seasons are very short.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: It's not all the time. You can't just hunt for
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: deal any time up in here. You got to wait
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: on the first frosty hidden stuff. You either damn deal
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: in the summertime, your ass might not make it. So
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you know you it's a hunting season because it's very short.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Now you change a game when you say the man
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: living in Alaska, damn, it's cold up there all the time.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Then I don't know what hunting sea. I don't Elp Moose,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: you know, del dear, you know Carribou. I don't know
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: what y'all doing, y'all y'all up there well hunting. You
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: know y'all down there at hunting the auto eating beaver meat.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: It's too much, you know, you're down there fighting him
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: grizzlies here comes to them salmon making another run. So
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I don't know. Here in Alaska he hunting damn the
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: every day. I'm my question is is he bringing anything
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: home to eat? That's a good way to know if
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: he actually hunting? His blood on his knife? Is his
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: blood on his clothes? Do he stink? Do he smell
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: like deal musk? You know you can't go over a
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: woman house and you don't squirted deal musk on your ass.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: She's not gonna let you stay. And I don't know
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: if y'all ever smell dear muscle to sit the deal
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: like you spread on your clothes in case you get
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: caught up wind of the deal and when it blow
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: that way, to smell like mo deal instead of human
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: because of deer's nose is very sensitive. Smell off you
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: up wind and you'll sit go down there the deal run.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: So you got to spray dear sent on you and
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I don't know if you know how DEAs smell. But
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: then't funking little something though, Oh this ain't Rudolph now no, no, hey,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: can I can I drive this late the night? Senter, No,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: they'll kill your ad. So let's get to the problem.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: The problem is you're not happy. You've approached him and
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: talked to him about it, and then he talks to
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: you and it's starting to stress you out. He comes
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: off very selfish, and then our arguments have been really
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: stretching out. If it wasn't for the fact that he
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: does really love hanging with his buddies, I think he
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: was hunting something besides deal, he could just be hunting
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: with his buddies. He could just be. But if you're unhappy,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: then you're unhappy. I don't know that it's a woman,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: but he with his buddies, you're unhappy. I don't you know.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: I don't know how you fix this with a person
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: that's selfish. And then you're trying to stay with it
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: cause of your son. Your son is only one. You
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: got a lot of years you got to stay with this.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: If you staying with it just for your son, what
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: your mama nenill stay is everybody you know from Alaska.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: You need to get a ticket. You come down here
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: to Florida or Atlanta, get your ass some sons stop
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: all this time. We got grocery stones down here. If
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: you go in public, get yourself so to eat. You know,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Turkey on cooking all that game you ask food. That's
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: what's wrong. He don't like cooking this all the cook elk.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: You gotta know what you're doing. Everything he brings laying
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: on the hood and the car ain't gonna hit good,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: not no damn dinner to day. All right, we gotta
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: go come happing forty six minutes after be our Sports
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Talk with Junior. Right now you open the elk. You're
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: listening morning show. All right, Junior you're ready? Yeah, all right,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: ladies and gentleman his junior with Sports Talk. What you
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: got for its juniors? First off, Shirley, let's give a
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: round of applause to the Brown every day. But I
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: just wanted to give a shutout man and the congratulations
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: to the Washington football team man for beating the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: What what the low undefeated teams in the NFL thanks
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: to Washington. I wanted him to stay undefeated, so dude, man,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: and also, no, I only know everybody to lose one
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: that time. No, man, I wanted that brother to the
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: coach to go get to Miami. Well he ain't so
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: well he can still get the Super Bowl ring, Tommy.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: That might be better than the record. Yeah, you get
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: the ring if you win every game. Well, you from Texas,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: you're pretty much just hoping for anything. Yeah. Absolutely, let's
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: get this out real quick. Man Lebron James was spotted
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: in La driving his million dollar black Porsch nine eighteen
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Spider convertible top drop, giving fans the thumb up. I
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: didn't know that car casting me man speaker, Lebron James.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: We have to say congratulations to Lebron. He's one of
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year, the activist athlete

- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Patrick Mahomes. These athletes were dealt with they dealt with
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: the pandemic, their participation in nation wide protests against the
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: police brutality and racial in quality, and they pushed to
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: get out the vote. So man, congratulations to all of them.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: They are all Sportsmen of the Year. Congratulations to the
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Texas for what? To the who for the Texas? Okay,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: what we do? I'm just throwing. I'm just trying to
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: say something nice about your team. You ain't though, that's
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: not what you're doing. It's not that's not nice. We hate,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: We ain't winning. You know what, You're gonna be down
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: sooner or later. You're kicking us when we're down. You're

- 1:08:26Speaker 1: the two of them. She was also in How to

- 1:09:29Speaker 1: gears here. Lighten things up a bit though. In other
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: entertainment news, the legend herself, Miss d On Warwick is
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: learning how to use Twitter, and she's saying it maybe
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: one of the best things to happen to her in
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty. Uh. She's nearly eighty years old. She's up
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: to speed now on Twitter. She tweets and everything, and
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: now she started trolling. Okay, we're first first on her list.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: If you can imagine. This was Chance the Rapper and
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Deane said, if you're if you're very obviously a rapper,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: why did you put that in your stage name? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Max was a singer the weekend and Deane Warreg wanted
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: to know why he went with that name. She tweeted,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: it's not even spelled correctly. Take a listen to her
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: response because people are saying it's not her doing the tweeting,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: So take a little well hello, and this is for
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: all of you tweeters who have decided her I'm not

- 1:10:39Speaker 1: good at it. You said, I have a wonderful niece.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Her name is Brittany, and she said it, Dan, you'll
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: have a lot of fun if you get on this
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: foot meet, I said, Okay, teach me how to do it,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: and she did it and I am doing it, so
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: that should quell all of you naysayers. And if it
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: doesn't deal, oh that's h I know. And she signed
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: she signed it adon the singer rapper, Yeah, chance the rapper.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: They were all just under the Dan even knew who
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: they were. Yeah, they were like who I am? Dean
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: was like, of course I know who you are. In
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: other words, I'm up on everything. You know, I'm eighty
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: years old, yeah, or just made eighty. But yeah, right,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: I probably have to follow it too. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: start talking on Twitter. That's immediate. Yeah, you get immediate feedback.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Just lie to yourself, man, please, well yeah all the time.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I don't want to do nothing he do and don't.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: But I like the fact that Danne is doing her
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: own stuff, you know, and proud of it. Seems like yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: and happy eightieth birthday to Dianne war Ward two. I
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: mean that's slick. If you eighty, fine something to do.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Keep your acting. Yeah, that lady that's running against Raphael warning,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: she gonna have to get into Twitter something because she
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: looked like the most unexciting person. Like lord, man, a
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: lot of hell, who got her at good point to
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: walk out there? All right, We'll have more of the

- 1:12:59Speaker 1: wonder they're still going strong? Uh. Comment spoke about her
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He called her
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: his queen and shared how much he loves being with her.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Take a listen. She's a wonderful human being. I truly,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: she's a true queen and she just has a lot
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: of love in her heart. And I'm open up and
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: receiving and try to give as much love as I
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: have in my heart. So yeah, the love, the love
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: thing is, I want to live in it. I like
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: being a part of love and you know, expressing that
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: wow love love ye sweet male interpretation anybody? Yeah, I
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: want what you guys think. I'm a pass on this one, y'all.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Girl ahead, have you ever said those words? Have you
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: ever said those words about about her? Being a queen
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: and you're open to receive love. I mean, have you
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: been that vulnerable talking about it? I haven't been that poetty,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: but that's it, you know, you know what have you said?
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: He's always I mean, I've been open about how I
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: feel about Marge. I think it's cool what they got. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: woman should do that. Yeah that's cool, not at all,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: you know. But see, I don't think it makes you vulnerable.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: The only thing it open makes you vulnerable for a
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: social media attack. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. We'll have
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, it's time for Steve's favorite segment.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: It's called ass the CLLO. Now, Steve, you ready, Are
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: you ready? Stay ready? All right, here we go. This
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: one is from Tab in DC. Tab says, I'm forty
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: nine and I'm dating a man that's seventy four. Okay,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: he looks like he's my age, and he's very athletic
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: and energetic. We have a big problem in the bedroom,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: and it's not what you think. His problem is that
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: he doesn't know when to stop the sex can go
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: on for an hour and I have to work, run
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: errands and do other stuff, so he needs to wrap
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: it up sooner. He admitted that he's on medication and
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: a side effect is increased sexual desire desire. He's called
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: me a lightweight and said I'll have to find someone
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: else that is up to the challenge. I hate it
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: when he said stuff like that. Do you think he's
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: just joking. Well, let's go over a couple first of all.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: First of all, the seventy four and last too long
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: in medication, he's lost feeling in certain areas, so the
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: lasting longest, don't worry. He'd have lost a lot of
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: feel he knew, so don't worry about that. That all
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: that hours and all that. Yeah, you know, you know
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: you need to pay you a lightweight. I need to
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: get somebody help. And the other thing you said was
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: you forty nine and he's seventy four, and he looked
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: your way not hold up, you're not going forward? You
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: know he's athletic and energetic. She says, he's seventy foe
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: and he looked your age or is he saving me? Four?
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: And you look his age? About that? I well, I
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: looked at all of it. When you're asking me something,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: we're in here problems because he might not be all
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: that athletic and energetic. Just your ass is older than
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: forty nine physically, and maybe that's what the problem is.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Maybe you're thinking he more than he really is because
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: you ain't what you're saying you are. Let the church say, man,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: let's move. Sometimes the answer is in your own damn question.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I believe her. Maybe she ain't an athletic. She ought
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: to get athletics, she would be more like forty nine,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: most forty young. Your women still got it, so she
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: ain't well. Well, he saving me fo. He got medication
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: that increases his that's viaggil. That's what it is. What
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: it increases? What else? What are it taking? Once again,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: if you have something else, sir, please write into this show.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: This became another second. Yesterday some dude took a shot.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Yeah the strawberry letter. Yeah a shot, and he wasn't
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: going through that pain no more. Okay, all right, coming up,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: it's our last break of the day. It's last, I mean,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: the absolute last breaking this damn day. That's right. And
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: some closing remarks we will have from the one and
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes closing right after this.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: So I like that you're listening to show. Hey, listen.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Before we get out of here and get to Steve's
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: closing remarks, we effinently want to say thank you to
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: the US Surgeon General Jerome m Adams, who is our
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: special guest today. Gave us some much needed, some vital information. Yes,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: very informativeness. Yeah, so good about COVID nineteen and the
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: vaccines and everything coming up. We're gonna take it together, y'all. Yeah.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: I think we should. I think we should. I think,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I mean, you know, to him, you know, and I said,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: for all of us, you know, because I know we've
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: been having discussions about it. Yes, the safety, the safeness
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: of it, going to do the re because you know
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: the side effects, and I mean, you know, it just
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense to me not to I've taken
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: flu shots before and he said those were only sixty percent.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: And the COVID nineteen, I don't know. I think I
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: had the flu once in my life. I think the flu. Yeah,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: there's yeah, that's all I can remember. I don't really
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: get sick. I got real sick in LA Show. Remember
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: that time. Yeah, my eyes got real red on the radio.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: I don't know what other I like, Look, you're sick,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: you need to go like I mean, I mean, it
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: happened all of us, Sutton and Man. I got home
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: and for three days, Man, I couldn't get out to bed. Yeah,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: you know what I think, Man, I think I had
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: COVID then, but Steve the virus, some kind of COVID
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: type virus. As I was saying, we want to say
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: thank you to the US Surgeon General Jerome m Adams.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: And now tomorrow our special guests will be the Reverend
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Rafael Warnock. Okay, here, George Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: and early voting since I brought that up. Early voting
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: starts December fourteenth through the thirty first, and then January
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: fifth is the election day, twenty twenty one, and we
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: gotta say we want to vote for you, Reverend Rafael
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Warnock and John Ausof. Okay, so let's go, Georgia. Let's
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: early vote. Hey, Georgia, we've got to vote. This is
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: really important and it's gonna send a clearer message. These
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: are my clothes remarks to you. This is going to
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: send a clearer message. Than we've ever sent before. We
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: send a powerful one to Washington, DC, but we can
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: send an even more powerful one if we show up
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: in this runoff election and we are the determining factor
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: when they start counting these votes again, if they count
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: the votes and they save Fulton County, Cobb County, the
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Cab County, when they save all those counties for last
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: and they start counting the votes, they will see again
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: not only do black lives matter, but that black lives
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: matter more than you may have ever thought, because now
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: our vote matters, And when your vote matters, they have
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: to consider your life then, because your vote for affects
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: dead and there's nothing negative against non African Americans. We're
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: not voting to take anything from anybody. We're voting to
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: have for us rightfully ours the same privileges and the
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: same rights that you have. That's all black lives matters,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: is saying, it's can our lives matter just like yours? Well,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: once we show you that our vote matters just like yours,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I think those two things start to go hand in hand.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Now when we always have racism, yes we will, where
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: we always have the ignent amongst us that no matter
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: what you do. They're gonna think they're better than you.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: That's gonna be always with us. I don't expect that
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: to go nowhere. But i'll tell you what, though, We're
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: gonna keep all getting our slice of the pie. And
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: you know we're gonna be as gracious as we've always been.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Sometimes that's hard, y'all, when somebody been or pressing you
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: for so long. But if you can just maintain cash,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: your vote, be dignified, be the best person you can,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: you can win this thing. We can win this thing.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: Marl Luther King said a long time ago. I may
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: not get that with you, but we as a people
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: will get to the mountaintop, don't you think me not.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: We're not there yet, but we're climbing, and we have
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: a lot of people who have recognized that too. The
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement got a lot of push from
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: a lot of non African Americans, y'all, and that's the
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: beginning of some great things to happen. And this man
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: losing the not only the electoral vote, but the popular
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: vote by six seven million votes, that's a clear message
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: that a lot of people sick seven million votes. But
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: now listen to this. He also has seventy million people
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: that voted for him too. So we gotta ever stay watchful,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: we gotta ever stay present. It ain't over. That is
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: an element there that his reared his ugly head, and
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: we've got to be conscious and aware of what's going on, y'all.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: So stay preyed, aid up, stay together, work as a unit,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: keep striving, keep doing the things that's necessary to better yourselves.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: If his education, stay in school, go to school. If
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: it's getting the proper training, do it. If it's following
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: your dreams and opening that business, do it. If it's
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: fostering and developing that entrepreneurial spirit, do it. Do whatever
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: you got to do to better your position in life.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Keep talking to God. God would love to hear from you.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: He appreciate you, and he's there and a very present
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: help in a time of need and trouble. And God
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: has gotten me through a lot of things. He can
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: do the same thing for you. He's done it for
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: so many people. But y'all, faith with our works is dead.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: We got to get to the polls. We got to
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: put it into work like we did before. But we
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: got to do it a little bit mope, a little
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: bit more y'all, let's get to the polls, and let's
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: put Raphael wanted and on Alsoft in two center seats
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: in Georgia. Bye Donald. For all Steve Harvey contests, No
