- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in the stubbing me through good listening
- 0:24Speaker 1: to mother, Stay, I don't join me. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn you're going to do? You are you gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out? Turn? You haven't got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out? Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your fa uh huh, I shall will
- 2:03Speaker 1: come morning. Everybody you're listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show man, o man o man? How many times
- 2:15Speaker 1: I got to say that before I get tired of it.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be a minute, folks. I gotta
- 2:22Speaker 1: be real with you, because, boy, that Steve Harvey got
- 2:25Speaker 1: a radio show man, clear indication of how God can
- 2:31Speaker 1: do some unexpected wonderful things for you, how he leads
- 2:36Speaker 1: your life in directions that you never ever saw coming.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You know. I was talking with somebody the other day
- 2:41Speaker 1: and they were talking about how man, they were young
- 2:44Speaker 1: and they were doing things, and they never knew that
- 2:47Speaker 1: the things that they were doing as a youngster would
- 2:51Speaker 1: come and helped form who they were today as an adult.
- 2:56Speaker 1: This guy's fifty years old, and you know, the same
- 3:00Speaker 1: thing for you, If you look back on your life
- 3:03Speaker 1: and all of the things that you've done, it helps
- 3:06Speaker 1: shape you into who you are now. This is provided
- 3:10Speaker 1: now that you take the positive approach. Now, when I
- 3:14Speaker 1: say look back at your life and see what you've done,
- 3:17Speaker 1: that doesn't mean dwell on the misfortunate moments, because the
- 3:20Speaker 1: misfortunate moments were necessary. I know it. It's hard to
- 3:24Speaker 1: see that when it's happening to you, but the unfortunate
- 3:27Speaker 1: moments are necessary. You know, what really makes you appreciate
- 3:32Speaker 1: summer vacation is winter work. What really makes you appreciate
- 3:37Speaker 1: a walk on the beach, it's when it's cold, is
- 3:40Speaker 1: raining outside. What really makes you appreciate when you're up,
- 3:46Speaker 1: it's because you've been down. See if you are up
- 3:49Speaker 1: all the time. Just the nature of us as human beings,
- 3:53Speaker 1: we would lose our appreciation for because it becomes case urah,
- 3:58Speaker 1: whatever it is, well, it is what it is. I'm
- 4:00Speaker 1: just what what what you take it for? Granted, it
- 4:03Speaker 1: becomes expected. But what happens in life, say, is it
- 4:06Speaker 1: has so many twisting turns and then you learn how
- 4:10Speaker 1: to deal with those twisting turns, which makes you now
- 4:12Speaker 1: a more experienced person. And then when the sunny days come, man,
- 4:16Speaker 1: you go wild. It's really nice outside. You really want
- 4:19Speaker 1: to appreciate how warm weather. Just stay in a bunch
- 4:22Speaker 1: of cold weather all the time. I'm you know, you
- 4:24Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I'm just this is really really
- 4:26Speaker 1: simple and now analogies, but it helps you along the way.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Now here's what I came to say today to everybody
- 4:34Speaker 1: out there. And this has helped me in my life.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I can't tell you what it's done for me, But
- 4:41Speaker 1: a lot of people are struggling with moving forward with
- 4:45Speaker 1: their future, their future plans, their future goals, their future aspirations,
- 4:52Speaker 1: their future hopes, their future dreams, just simply your future wants.
- 4:58Speaker 1: A lot of people trying to having a hard time
- 5:01Speaker 1: mapping out their future. Even what I'm gonna do, what
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna be, what I'm gonna make ham or go
- 5:08Speaker 1: about it? What do I do next? I want to
- 5:11Speaker 1: share something with you that I had to come to
- 5:13Speaker 1: terms with the quickest way to lose focus on your
- 5:18Speaker 1: future is to keep focusing on your past. You know.
- 5:22Speaker 1: It's like I said at the beginning. You know when
- 5:24Speaker 1: I say it's wonderful to look at your life and
- 5:27Speaker 1: review it, because if you look at it, it'll tell
- 5:30Speaker 1: you it really helps shape inform you today as the
- 5:35Speaker 1: person you are now. If you look at it in
- 5:38Speaker 1: a positive sense. But if you dwell in harp on
- 5:41Speaker 1: the negative that's happened to you, then that keeps you
- 5:45Speaker 1: from seeing the good in the incident, every bad thing
- 5:48Speaker 1: that's happened to you, that was a silver lining behind it.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I know people who were on drugs who finally, man
- 5:55Speaker 1: just got sent to prison for stealing because of a habit.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I know Catess Soul Dope. Well, he went to prison.
- 6:03Speaker 1: He told me one time, he said Steve. He said, Man,
- 6:05Speaker 1: this is the best thing ever happened to me to
- 6:07Speaker 1: save my life. Now, most people would think, how in
- 6:10Speaker 1: the world is going to prison helpful for you? The
- 6:14Speaker 1: brother said, it saved my life. First of all, it
- 6:18Speaker 1: got me clean. He said, I've been cleaned for five
- 6:21Speaker 1: years from sitting in here. That's for starters. I'm cleaned.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I ain't still in no more. I ain't putting myself
- 6:27Speaker 1: in jeopard and I ain't jeopardizing nobody else. He said. Now, man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I don't went to college. I didn't got a college
- 6:34Speaker 1: degree while I met him. Then he was released from prison,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and the brother's life was completely turned around. He married,
- 6:42Speaker 1: he got a family, he got a great job. He'd
- 6:45Speaker 1: go to work every day. He's a productive citizen. I mean.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So he looks back on his incarceration, even his drug abuse,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and it taught him how to appreciate the things in
- 6:58Speaker 1: life that he had taken for granted and was missing
- 7:01Speaker 1: because he said, man, my life was just in a blur.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I didn't even know what was going on. He said,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Now I appreciate every day I wake up. That's what
- 7:09Speaker 1: I mean. Even in your missteps in life, there is
- 7:14Speaker 1: a purpose for the missteps. Every time you fail, there
- 7:18Speaker 1: was a reason for the failure. See what I had
- 7:21Speaker 1: to do was I had to learn that all of
- 7:23Speaker 1: my failures taught me how to get back up. So
- 7:27Speaker 1: I became a very strong and tough person in getting
- 7:30Speaker 1: back up. And then I was down and out so
- 7:33Speaker 1: long that it taught me how to really appreciate the up.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And so I've taken all of that and used it
- 7:41Speaker 1: those experiences that happened to me, and I became a
- 7:44Speaker 1: more experienced person. So next time. When people talk about
- 7:48Speaker 1: me who don't know me, it don't shake me because
- 7:52Speaker 1: everybody's not gonna like you. Man, you might as well
- 7:54Speaker 1: gonna get on this train right now. And so what
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm saying to you out there is the quickest way
- 8:00Speaker 1: to lose focus on your future is to keep focusing
- 8:03Speaker 1: on your path. Let it go. Yeah yeah, yeah, he left.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Sometimes the breakup is the blessing. I know it's hard
- 8:11Speaker 1: to break up because now you're loaning you by yourself.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But man, but when you're in misery, When you was
- 8:16Speaker 1: in that, weren't you in complete misery in that? Now
- 8:21Speaker 1: you kept asking God to fix it. But it takes
- 8:23Speaker 1: two people to fix a relationship. It don't just take one.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It takes two to make a thing go right. It
- 8:30Speaker 1: takes two to make it out of sight. You really
- 8:34Speaker 1: do have to have two people wanting a relationship to work.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It can't just be one person want a relationship, so
- 8:40Speaker 1: you can pray about the relationship all you want. If
- 8:42Speaker 1: the other person don't want you no more and ain't
- 8:45Speaker 1: gonna act right, you can't make him do that or
- 8:48Speaker 1: you can't make her do that, But you steady asking
- 8:51Speaker 1: God for a new relationship. But you are yet to
- 8:56Speaker 1: be grateful that you are in a position to have
- 8:59Speaker 1: a relation ship, and you keep harping on the pass.
- 9:02Speaker 1: You don't think he hear that. I'm just a dude
- 9:04Speaker 1: with a show, and I hear it all the time.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Let it go, go forward. It's over. You made it,
- 9:11Speaker 1: He bought you through it. You conquered, you survived it.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Why are you dwelling on it and making it the
- 9:19Speaker 1: cross around your neck when clearly he had removed it
- 9:23Speaker 1: for you. Now, all you got to do is come on.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So if you're sitting behind him walls, brothers and sisters,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm talking directly to you sometimes. Man, you just got
- 9:33Speaker 1: to get it right. All this repeat offending the business
- 9:36Speaker 1: that's for? Who is that for? How ignorant can you
- 9:39Speaker 1: be to keep giving your life back to the penal system?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Be free, man, walk the streets, do the right thing.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Ask God to help connect you. He could do anything.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You think he can't give you a job? Are you serious? Man?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Put some faith on it. Let's move forward, y'all. Let
- 9:55Speaker 1: it go. Let's move you're listening, ladies and gentlemen. Is
- 10:02Speaker 1: here another day? Man? I'm glad about this right here?
- 10:06Speaker 1: You know what, if you say, man, seem like Steve
- 10:08Speaker 1: glad about every day, it's because I am. Man. I
- 10:11Speaker 1: wake up every day rejuvenated. Even if I wake up
- 10:15Speaker 1: a little bit tired, or I didn't get enough sleep,
- 10:18Speaker 1: which is the case and or something like that, I
- 10:21Speaker 1: still wake up whenever I get up and I go, Man,
- 10:25Speaker 1: I take advantage of being up. Man. I do some meditating. Man,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I go get some quiet time before it gets started.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I tell the Lord, thank you, man, and then you know,
- 10:36Speaker 1: I find something I want to do myself, a little
- 10:39Speaker 1: little me time in the morning. I'm just grateful that
- 10:41Speaker 1: he give me that, because after that is this, and
- 10:44Speaker 1: after this it is on and cracking in my life. Man.
- 10:47Speaker 1: All I do all day long is make decisions, decisions, decisions, decisions.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Mister Harvey, can we have this, h Can we do this? Baby?
- 10:56Speaker 1: Can you do this for me? That one right there? Baby?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Can you do this for me? That's the white I
- 11:00Speaker 1: got to drop everything I'm doing to do that. I
- 11:03Speaker 1: don't give the old forget that I'm trying to run
- 11:05Speaker 1: an empire. Yeah, I got a call by some damn curtains.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Why But I'm grateful though, Yes I am Steve Foban
- 11:18Speaker 1: Morty show y'all, Charley Strawberry caller for real, Mile Thur
- 11:22Speaker 1: the South Uh Junior Boys out to date and legend
- 11:26Speaker 1: that is nephew Tommins. Oh Man, I know him that.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I would say, Junior, what's on your mind? To David?
- 11:32Speaker 1: He ain't got nothing on his mind to day? This
- 11:37Speaker 1: should be interesting first thing in the morning. You know
- 11:41Speaker 1: what I got on? I got what I got one
- 11:45Speaker 1: for people that want to be entertainers, the people that
- 11:48Speaker 1: want to be stars. You are star. Explain I think
- 11:53Speaker 1: that I think a lot of people don't know what
- 11:54Speaker 1: it takes to keep your star shining. Brake, keeping the
- 11:58Speaker 1: light on in your star? What how much you gotta
- 12:01Speaker 1: put in and keep that light on. You've been a
- 12:03Speaker 1: star a long time to keep that light lit that long.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Explain the process of what you gotta do, day in
- 12:11Speaker 1: and day out for that star to be as bright
- 12:14Speaker 1: as you as you have it. Two parts to that.
- 12:17Speaker 1: First of all, you yourself, are not the determining factor
- 12:22Speaker 1: whether you become a star or not. That determination belongs
- 12:26Speaker 1: to the masses, to the people. You have no control
- 12:30Speaker 1: over that. You can't control how bright your star is.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You can't control it. That is up only to the masses.
- 12:39Speaker 1: They determine who becomes stars in this world. And that
- 12:43Speaker 1: got a whole lot to do with God's grace and favor.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Ain't no, ain't no. I set out to be a
- 12:48Speaker 1: star and I made it. Naw don that ain't we
- 12:50Speaker 1: ain't as simple as that? No suck. Now, Once you
- 12:54Speaker 1: become this star and this light is on you, you
- 12:58Speaker 1: have no idea what what the task in front of
- 13:01Speaker 1: you is. It is daunting. It is bigger than you
- 13:04Speaker 1: could have imagined. For there's an e manual four, there's
- 13:08Speaker 1: an a course you can take. It is something else,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and it is hard work, just like it is hard
- 13:14Speaker 1: to be a supervisor, just like it's hard to be
- 13:17Speaker 1: the top bus driver, the top salesman. On your job
- 13:21Speaker 1: to win principle a teacher of the year, you become
- 13:23Speaker 1: a target for those that are not in the light.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It's hard because most people that have reached a level
- 13:30Speaker 1: of importance or significance are hated by those who ain't
- 13:33Speaker 1: because they can't come on all right, Coming up at
- 13:37Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll hear from the
- 13:39Speaker 1: nephew yet again as he runs that frank back right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now to start your morning off with the nephew
- 13:49Speaker 1: as he runs that Frank back what you got for
- 13:52Speaker 1: his nef today. We're gonna put a little stupid on
- 13:54Speaker 1: it this morning, Charlotte, but a little better stupid on it.
- 13:57Speaker 1: We're gonna sprinkle it nice and smooth. Even. Can you
- 14:00Speaker 1: hear me now? Can you hear me? Now? Can't dog
- 14:07Speaker 1: give you hood? Hello? I'm trying to speak to sister Lauren, Please,
- 14:13Speaker 1: Sister Lauren, This is Brother Davids from the church. I
- 14:16Speaker 1: don't know if you know me. You might know me
- 14:18Speaker 1: when you see me, but I don't know if you
- 14:19Speaker 1: just know me because we don't really interact that much
- 14:22Speaker 1: at the church. But I wanted to give you a call.
- 14:23Speaker 1: We got a bit of a problem going on. Okay, okay,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you got you get you have a minute to talk
- 14:30Speaker 1: all right now? How long have you been doing uh
- 14:33Speaker 1: the sign you in the you know you in the
- 14:35Speaker 1: ministry where you do the sign language for the church
- 14:38Speaker 1: and um, you know I noticed you up there at
- 14:41Speaker 1: least two Sundays out of a out of the month.
- 14:45Speaker 1: You've been doing it quite a while, am I right, So, yes,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I've been doing it for over ten years. But I'm
- 14:50Speaker 1: really confused as to why you're calling about this time.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I'm just really confused. I don't know who you are.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You say that, I see your faith. I may know you,
- 15:00Speaker 1: but what what does this have to do with anything?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Is how long I've been doing sign language? I know? Okay,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I've been doing this for years. So how how man
- 15:09Speaker 1: help you with this? Do you want? Okay? So no, no,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I'm not trying to learn any sign langue. Do you
- 15:15Speaker 1: do you know miss everybody call him Miss Murder? Do
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know Miss Murdle? Oh? Yeah, sure you okay, So
- 15:21Speaker 1: Miss Murder, that's that's that's that's that's one of my
- 15:25Speaker 1: aunties right there. Miss Murder is okay, and she gave
- 15:29Speaker 1: you my number to call me. I'm what what do
- 15:32Speaker 1: you need for me? Did she get? No? That's what
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'm getting that. So, so you know, miss you know
- 15:37Speaker 1: my you know, my honors is deaf. You know she's
- 15:39Speaker 1: hearing that, you know that? Right? Okay? Yeah? Okay, So
- 15:44Speaker 1: so here's a problem. Ain't murderles is telling us that
- 15:48Speaker 1: you're not doing the sign language right, doing the service,
- 15:51Speaker 1: and like you're missing some things in the scripture or something. No, no, no,
- 15:56Speaker 1: that's incorrect. I've been doing this for very long time
- 16:00Speaker 1: and i know what I'm doing. So how you so
- 16:03Speaker 1: she told you for me to tell me that I'm
- 16:05Speaker 1: not doing the silence correctly, let me say, let me
- 16:09Speaker 1: say this to you. Let me I don't want us
- 16:10Speaker 1: to get off on the wrong foot. Let me just
- 16:12Speaker 1: say this to you. Once my once my ain murder
- 16:14Speaker 1: told us what was going on. You know. We then
- 16:18Speaker 1: went to one of the deacons and asked him, you know,
- 16:20Speaker 1: is that way we can uh have a meeting, you know,
- 16:23Speaker 1: with with with Sister Lawrence so we can try to
- 16:24Speaker 1: get this taken care of and talk about it. He said, well,
- 16:27Speaker 1: won't you just won't you just call and y'all can
- 16:30Speaker 1: just work it out. And that's how I'm calling you now.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I hope you don't know if you're at work or whatever.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I apologize, but I'm just trying to get to the
- 16:37Speaker 1: bottom of Now let me go, don't say this. If
- 16:40Speaker 1: my ain't murders say that you ain't signing right, then
- 16:44Speaker 1: my ain't he ain't lying. That means your excuse me,
- 16:47Speaker 1: that means you ain't signing right. Really, so the pastor
- 16:52Speaker 1: couldn't come to me, but he but you figured you
- 16:54Speaker 1: would just call me and tell me that your auntie
- 16:57Speaker 1: says I'm doing it incorrectly. That doesn't make sense to me.
- 17:00Speaker 1: How does she tell you that? Did she sign it
- 17:02Speaker 1: to you? She signed language to her daughter. Listen, you
- 17:05Speaker 1: ain't got to worry about who she's signing too. What
- 17:07Speaker 1: you need to worry about is getting your getting your
- 17:10Speaker 1: stuff together all right, and learning how to do this
- 17:13Speaker 1: the correct way so that my ain'te can get You know,
- 17:16Speaker 1: my anti needs to be getting the word like everybody
- 17:18Speaker 1: else getting the word, but she not getting it because
- 17:20Speaker 1: you the words getting lost in your hands. All I'm
- 17:24Speaker 1: hearing is your voice is getting very loud and you
- 17:26Speaker 1: need to match my tone, young man. Okay, let's start
- 17:29Speaker 1: with that. Which I mean? Man? Young man? What is that?
- 17:34Speaker 1: Match my tone? Because you're getting very loud and I
- 17:38Speaker 1: can't hear through all of that. All right, Okay, okay,
- 17:42Speaker 1: I am trading situation. You called my phone. Correct, you
- 17:47Speaker 1: have a problem that you're discussing with me, but you're
- 17:49Speaker 1: getting more anger anything else? How am I going to
- 17:51Speaker 1: resolve this problem? I am trying to be where you
- 17:54Speaker 1: resolve this problem. Is Carr yours back to sign school
- 17:58Speaker 1: so you can learn what you need to. So my
- 18:00Speaker 1: ain't he can get the word? My ain't he can't
- 18:02Speaker 1: get out with the gospel because you're messing it up.
- 18:05Speaker 1: God annointed me to do style language at that church,
- 18:08Speaker 1: and I've been doing it for a long time and
- 18:10Speaker 1: I will continue to do so. So don't call my
- 18:13Speaker 1: phone telling me that I'm not doing something right? You know?
- 18:16Speaker 1: But do God know that you're not doing it right?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Do God know that? Does God know that mine ain't
- 18:22Speaker 1: myrtle not getting the word because of you? Named young man? Jesus,
- 18:27Speaker 1: Please give me the strength to continue on with this conversation.
- 18:31Speaker 1: But you know what, Lord, I'm gonna be right back. Little.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Don't you ever call my
- 18:37Speaker 1: mother freaking phone telling that I ain't doing something? Man?
- 18:41Speaker 1: If I see you in the street, this can't I
- 18:43Speaker 1: have is gonna go upside your goddamn head. Did I
- 18:46Speaker 1: make my stub player? I cannot believe you talking to
- 18:49Speaker 1: me like this. Oh now you want to be calm.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Now you're calm, Now you match my phone. I can't
- 18:55Speaker 1: believe you just got through talking to me like that.
- 18:58Speaker 1: So you think it's cool you to tell the Lord.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'll be right back. Thank you, Lord. I needed a moment.
- 19:04Speaker 1: You right, we've been on the stone, this Lord been
- 19:07Speaker 1: on me. I told you to match my tone. Match

- 24:48Speaker 1: bike riding and all that high high Hell, no if
- 24:53Speaker 1: I give damn about that. You know he didn't know
- 24:56Speaker 1: he was died. He threw it away. He knew what
- 24:57Speaker 1: was up. Okay, he really didn't give a damn or
- 25:01Speaker 1: he was dead or not. If he did knew he

- 25:23Speaker 1: but I was too afraid. I can't get her off
- 25:26Speaker 1: my mind. Should I go back and invite her over
- 25:29Speaker 1: what cour of hand? Let me hear your answer to
- 25:34Speaker 1: this one. So i'm your other two? What did you

- 27:09Speaker 1: m but do you think do you know she would
- 27:13Speaker 1: want to come play with y'all? See you guys? Yeah, yeah,
- 27:17Speaker 1: she said, ever been cussed out by Jamaican before, but
- 27:22Speaker 1: if it's extensive, I haven't you I've never been cussed

- 27:33Speaker 1: everybody clear out the way because you want rob cool
- 27:37Speaker 1: and brought. I'm so black, black stupid. All right, let's
- 27:46Speaker 1: get to this last one. Stude Aaron and high Point says,
- 27:51Speaker 1: my boyfriend and I have been together for a year
- 27:53Speaker 1: and he used to put a lot of thought into
- 27:55Speaker 1: buying me gifts for Christmas and for my birthday. He
- 27:58Speaker 1: sent me money through hell and that was it. Did
- 28:01Speaker 1: he buy the gifts in the beginning to lure me in?
- 28:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, it didn't got comfortable. See why, y'all be surprised,
- 28:13Speaker 1: you know what. I couldn't work hard in the beginning.
- 28:15Speaker 1: A lot of men change over the years. You've all
- 28:18Speaker 1: experienced it. Yeah, all of you has experienced it. Keep
- 28:25Speaker 1: it up like they did in the beginning, not even
- 28:29Speaker 1: the great ones like meat falling off a little bit?
- 28:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, why I used to be in he
- 28:39Speaker 1: slowed down a little bit. Yeah yeah, I couldn't keep
- 28:42Speaker 1: up with my damnself. Yeah. Yeah, you need to elevate
- 28:48Speaker 1: you see, idea too much, you know. Coming up at
- 28:53Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Thank you, Fielo. We'll have
- 28:56Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening.
- 29:00Speaker 1: She's a Steven show. Well, Usher has a new song,
- 29:05Speaker 1: and he released the tease of the news video. The
- 29:08Speaker 1: video stars someone you know very well, Steve. Her name
- 29:12Speaker 1: is Laurie Harvey, and she's beautiful. Have you seen it, Dad? Yes,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I don't think he won't. Yeah, I saw it. Okay,
- 29:26Speaker 1: we've on his volume kind of Well, she's beautiful in
- 29:33Speaker 1: the video. Moving on, moving on. Oh and and here's
- 29:38Speaker 1: a debate that fans of Usher are having. They think
- 29:43Speaker 1: Usher should be next year's Super Bowl halftime performer. I'm
- 29:46Speaker 1: not mad at that. I'm not mad at Yeah. By
- 29:49Speaker 1: the way, super Bowl is in fifty eight, is in
- 29:52Speaker 1: Las Vegas. Next year, we're going on in Vegas, in Vegas, Vegas.
- 30:00Speaker 1: We need to come. We don't care who going. No, not,
- 30:03Speaker 1: that'd be too much super Bowl and Vegas. That's too much.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I ain't I don't know if I could survive it.
- 30:12Speaker 1: You could survive ye. Gambling, that's gambling with the other athletes,
- 30:23Speaker 1: all all of them high rollers out there. I'm not
- 30:25Speaker 1: there competing now, Steve, would you go to sleep at
- 30:30Speaker 1: all of the whole Super Bowl? No, you're asking a
- 30:34Speaker 1: man gambles while he's having lunch. That's eyes so rid.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Will he go to sleep? No? He barely eats, all right.
- 30:45Speaker 1: But I'm not mad at that Usher. I'm not in
- 30:48Speaker 1: my mind that that's a good look right there. Yeah. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: And Laura is doing Laurie's beautiful in the video. Dad,
- 30:54Speaker 1: you just want to give her props. I don't say
- 30:57Speaker 1: that they would struggle with should be caused of the
- 31:02Speaker 1: crossover appeal. Too many are records. That's what your saying. Well, yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 1: I mean he's he was. He started as an R
- 31:08Speaker 1: and B star, you know he's not. Yeah, yeah, he's
- 31:11Speaker 1: na pop star. But you know, Beyonce is a pop star.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Katie Perry, hop star, Prison Megastar, Michael Megastar, Beyonce. You
- 31:21Speaker 1: gotta look at it like that. He's worthy. He got
- 31:23Speaker 1: the hits. Oh we'd be jamming, but it'd be so
- 31:26Speaker 1: many white people off. Yeah, he got some popstars. But
- 31:32Speaker 1: passing out the rations? All right, all right now confession
- 31:41Speaker 1: just passing out the rations not damn really all right,
- 31:50Speaker 1: let's get to this story before we run out of time. Um.
- 31:54Speaker 1: On a recent episode of Sherry Shepherd and Kim Whitley's podcast,
- 31:58Speaker 1: they discussed Monique and her role in the new movie
- 32:01Speaker 1: The Reading. Sherry said about Monique, she's a great actress
- 32:06Speaker 1: personality wise, she's always getting in trouble always. Sherry continued,
- 32:11Speaker 1: If it's not with another comic, del hugely, it is
- 32:15Speaker 1: with the industry, and a lengthy in this Instagram post,
- 32:19Speaker 1: here's some of what Monique said. In response. Monique said,
- 32:23Speaker 1: first she thanked the comedians Sherry and Kim. Then Monique
- 32:28Speaker 1: went on to say quote, you then attempted to show
- 32:31Speaker 1: a connection between my personality and me being blackballed along
- 32:35Speaker 1: with the fallout I had with brother Dale hugely. In addition,
- 32:39Speaker 1: you two, within the same breath mentioned how we as
- 32:42Speaker 1: comics are quote underestimated. First thing, kids with their parents,
- 32:47Speaker 1: criminals with the law, and slaves with their masters get
- 32:50Speaker 1: into trouble, and last time I checked, I don't fit
- 32:53Speaker 1: into any of these categories to get in trouble with
- 32:57Speaker 1: anyone mentioned. Do. You two then noted my personality is
- 33:02Speaker 1: of such where I have to speak up and out
- 33:05Speaker 1: against injustices so we can stop being, as you both said, underrated.
- 33:10Speaker 1: And if you notice, I haven't ever started a conversation
- 33:14Speaker 1: about you two that involved any negativity in any way
- 33:19Speaker 1: in all of the years. Anytime the team of you
- 33:22Speaker 1: two sisters would like to speak with the team of
- 33:24Speaker 1: my husband and I, we welcome it. Thank you too
- 33:27Speaker 1: again for the compliments, though backhanded, and please know regardless,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I still love you both to life. Sisters. I hate
- 33:41Speaker 1: to see this. They weren't complimenting her, and I think
- 33:45Speaker 1: they were just trying to state that and be funny. Yes,
- 33:49Speaker 1: but she's always getting in trouble to trouble. Yeah, and
- 33:53Speaker 1: that rubbed Monique the wrong way she want to. She
- 33:56Speaker 1: didn't like it at all. So yeah, but she invited
- 34:00Speaker 1: to compliment and then neative that's what she said, backhanded compliment. Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It's like if you if you ask someone something and
- 34:08Speaker 1: they answer you, but they put that butt in there,
- 34:11Speaker 1: so you know everything that preceded the butt. Yes, Steve
- 34:14Speaker 1: meant nothing. Y'all know. Good? Well, I don't say so.
- 34:20Speaker 1: We thinking you're gonna jump into conversation. Yeah, oh no,
- 34:26Speaker 1: in my studio. All right, we're moving on. Hopefully they'll
- 34:30Speaker 1: work it out. Maybe they will meet and work it out. Yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 1: it'll be a great thing. I think a crush y'all
- 34:36Speaker 1: that don't start. No more, don't want any more beefs,
- 34:38Speaker 1: No more wars please, yeah, just enough? Yes, you know
- 34:42Speaker 1: all right. Finally, in trending fashion news, Louis Vaton, the
- 34:46Speaker 1: French luxury brand, announced that Farrell Williams Pharrell Williams is
- 34:52Speaker 1: the brand new Men's creative Director at Louis Vaton. He
- 34:55Speaker 1: succeeds Virgil Ablow. Louis Vatan said in a statement, mister
- 34:59Speaker 1: Williams is a visionary whose creative universes, expand from music,
- 35:04Speaker 1: to art and to fashion, establishing himself as a cultural
- 35:07Speaker 1: global icon. Congratulations Pharrell, right now, Okay, this June Fashion
- 35:17Speaker 1: Men's Week in June nine. Yeah, get your mind right.
- 35:23Speaker 1: You're about to kill him. You're about your mind right.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I might have to go out there all right now? Alright,
- 35:33Speaker 1: Congratulations again, Farrell. Coming up in twenty minutes after the
- 35:36Speaker 1: hour and trending political news. We'll tell you what Donald
- 35:39Speaker 1: Trump wants to reportedly bring back if he is re
- 35:42Speaker 1: elected president. We'll talk about it right after this. You're
- 35:45Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. In trending political news,
- 35:50Speaker 1: Nicky Haley, the former Republican governor of South Carolina and
- 35:54Speaker 1: Ambassador to the United Nations under the Trump administration, posted
- 35:58Speaker 1: a video on Twitter recently announcing that she is running
- 36:01Speaker 1: for president. She says it's time for a new generation
- 36:04Speaker 1: of leadership. I'm Nicki Haley and I'm running for president.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Oh and speak yeah. Speaking of twenty twenty four, the
- 36:14Speaker 1: presidential candidates, according to Rolling Stone magazine, Donald Trump has
- 36:19Speaker 1: been discussing with his team listen to this guy's the
- 36:21Speaker 1: expansions of the federal death penalty and bringing back death
- 36:26Speaker 1: by fire, squad and hanging. Trump also reportedly yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 36:31Speaker 1: yeah yeah, this is what he's reportedly discussing with his team,
- 36:35Speaker 1: you know, death by firing, squad, hanging. Trump also reportedly
- 36:40Speaker 1: mentioned to his team the idea of the executions being televised.
- 36:45Speaker 1: See that appeals to that right wing, malicious Southern hell
- 36:51Speaker 1: billy biggie, that appeals to the bigotry in their party.
- 36:57Speaker 1: All of those constituents of his will Ama and all
- 37:00Speaker 1: the black people that they'll be hanging and shoot and
- 37:04Speaker 1: putting it on TV. That's for them. See, he gonna
- 37:08Speaker 1: give that to them. Oh no, he gonna get that
- 37:11Speaker 1: to them. And then he'll have some other stuff for
- 37:15Speaker 1: the little bit more more more, you know, moderate Republicans.
- 37:21Speaker 1: He'll have that cutting back on taxist government. Should we
- 37:29Speaker 1: hang and and put people on the fire and squard
- 37:32Speaker 1: that was at the insurrection and climbing it, well should
- 37:35Speaker 1: because that was a federal that's federal. Come on, come on,
- 37:39Speaker 1: protest and Tommy, those were white people. Yeah, we're not.
- 37:46Speaker 1: We're not talking about hanging and shooting whites. That ain't
- 37:50Speaker 1: what that's for. And he knows exactly who he talking
- 37:54Speaker 1: about what he's doing because they people of color, the
- 37:59Speaker 1: ones who don't have the money to get out of
- 38:01Speaker 1: things like this. You ain't shoot You can't understand somebody
- 38:04Speaker 1: with this much hate. What're the last person? No, no, no,
- 38:07Speaker 1: don't don't antybody shooting no white person. You gotta be kid.
- 38:10Speaker 1: The last time you heard that? What police? You know,
- 38:13Speaker 1: go shoot a white person and for Steven be disgusting
- 38:16Speaker 1: to do. This country is so sick to even allow
- 38:20Speaker 1: his ass back it to run for anything. Yeah, what
- 38:23Speaker 1: all these accusation? Guy? This the sickness of this country,
- 38:28Speaker 1: the hypocrisy of the United States to allow this and
- 38:33Speaker 1: question tell me about the insurrection, but you know nothing's
- 38:36Speaker 1: gonna be done about it. Coming up at thirty four
- 38:40Speaker 1: minutes after the hour? Has your spouse made you go
- 38:42Speaker 1: somewhere you didn't want to go? Were you miserable like
- 38:45Speaker 1: Ben Affleck at the Grammys? We'll talk about it right
- 38:48Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to this morning show. Well, if
- 38:57Speaker 1: you saw the Grammys, you all saw the look Ben
- 39:00Speaker 1: afflex Space. He was miserable at the grass. He just
- 39:04Speaker 1: looked like he didn't want to be there. I mean,
- 39:08Speaker 1: Space said at all word has it that Ben's wife,
- 39:12Speaker 1: Jennifer Lopez whispered in his ear, look motivated face. Ben
- 39:21Speaker 1: just couldn't play it off. He just wanted to go home,
- 39:24Speaker 1: all right. He did not want to be there. So
- 39:26Speaker 1: here's a question for you, Stephen, Tommy, has your spouse
- 39:30Speaker 1: ever dragged you out to a function that you did
- 39:33Speaker 1: not want to be at? You didn't want to go?
- 39:35Speaker 1: What happened, Tommy? I went with my wife to a funeral.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I did not even know who the person was. And
- 39:46Speaker 1: it was so long drawn out, miserable. Everybody want to call.
- 39:51Speaker 1: And then when we getting ready to leave, which I
- 39:54Speaker 1: think is so disrespectful, then everybody want to pitch. You
- 39:57Speaker 1: can we get a picture with tom if really at
- 39:59Speaker 1: a field in the room? Come on, man, I was
- 40:01Speaker 1: just bored. I was just and I can't go by yeah,
- 40:06Speaker 1: And I just sat there and just hate. Then you
- 40:12Speaker 1: got the near to asked me to go by the repair.

- 40:18Speaker 1: I can't do it. I ain't going to the cemetery
- 40:21Speaker 1: and I'm not going to the repairs. And don't ask
- 40:23Speaker 1: me no more. I will ober my ass home. I'm
- 40:26Speaker 1: not born. You had that been that flex faith because
- 40:31Speaker 1: you've been at the funeral so long you ain't even
- 40:33Speaker 1: like the dead person. No more goodness, I'm listening up
- 40:38Speaker 1: the man and start thinking of stuff I ain't liked
- 40:40Speaker 1: about here. Then he wasn't all that. I'll tell you
- 40:45Speaker 1: the one that got me the But Marjorie convinced me

- 41:05Speaker 1: hey man, let me tell you something. About eight minutes in,
- 41:10Speaker 1: I was sitting back with one of the grandkids. I
- 41:13Speaker 1: was sitting behind it. I leaned over and tap, My
- 41:15Speaker 1: wife was a baby. When is that gonna start talking?
- 41:21Speaker 1: I did not know that at ballet they don't talk.
- 41:28Speaker 1: So now I'm already don't know the story, and I
- 41:34Speaker 1: can't keep up with a story when ain't nobody talking?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Because I'm trying to figure out why is the rats
- 41:41Speaker 1: running around on this damn stage? Ain't nobody trying to
- 41:45Speaker 1: kill the rat? I didn't understand that DoD that opened
- 41:53Speaker 1: up and the white girl got out. I didn't what
- 41:56Speaker 1: is we dancing for? The dude was springing crack? Where's
- 42:02Speaker 1: your pans at? I had so many questions. Doing the nutcracker?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Where the nuts we're supposed to be cracking? No, I
- 42:15Speaker 1: kept waiting. That's what I couldn't understand. We ain't crack now,
- 42:20Speaker 1: I'm nut in here. Ain't no shells on the floor,
- 42:24Speaker 1: anybody knowing me? None of this? Why are we in here? Man? Well,

- 42:52Speaker 1: Nobody talks are of Steve. Oh man. I was going
- 42:56Speaker 1: about to die after that. Man, I didn't give a
- 42:59Speaker 1: damn nutcrack. So did Marjorie tell you to be quiet?
- 43:04Speaker 1: But she's shishing you? Did you keep asking her questions? Yeah?
- 43:08Speaker 1: Because I kept going because even my little grandson, Noah,
- 43:11Speaker 1: was sitting next to me. He asked me, Papa, what
- 43:14Speaker 1: they're doing? Look? Yeah, what I don't know? Hell, I
- 43:21Speaker 1: don't know what's going on. I can't help you with
- 43:23Speaker 1: this story. I don't know what he was going on.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I couldn't follow it. I ain't seen no purpose to it.
- 43:27Speaker 1: When they got to the end, nobody was in there
- 43:31Speaker 1: were happier than me. And then they came out to
- 43:32Speaker 1: do the little encores and people clamp said, Man, but no, damn,
- 43:39Speaker 1: I don't know, and I think I was in there.

- 45:16Speaker 1: have to write down, and like I said, this is
- 45:18Speaker 1: the final step of of getting you out of check. Now,
- 45:21Speaker 1: the last heard you were offered two thousand dollars? Is
- 45:25Speaker 1: that correct? If you were there, you go ahead to supervisor.
- 45:29Speaker 1: You would knew how that if you worked there. Okay, Well,
- 45:32Speaker 1: I'm just looking at the file that I have. Man,
- 45:34Speaker 1: I don't have everything. You got that rode down that's
- 45:37Speaker 1: what they offer. Okay, Well listen, here's what we're doing. Um.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I've also been brought some other records is this the
- 45:44Speaker 1: first time you've actually had an incident like this? What
- 45:49Speaker 1: is this the first time you've had an incident of
- 45:51Speaker 1: actually falling? Yeah, yeah, that's my first time. Okay, Well, actually,
- 45:57Speaker 1: what we're doing, uh looking over the records here, I've
- 46:01Speaker 1: got some actual incidents that it seems like you've actually
- 46:04Speaker 1: fallen several times in other places. And uh, what what
- 46:09Speaker 1: I'm having to do here, ma'am, is let you know
- 46:12Speaker 1: that I am not going to sign off on this
- 46:15Speaker 1: at all. So the money that has been offered to you,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I am no longer going to be. Uh, I'm not
- 46:20Speaker 1: gonna confirm this check to go out to you. I
- 46:23Speaker 1: don't think that there's anything wrong with you. I don't
- 46:26Speaker 1: think that you have a problem. I think that there's
- 46:28Speaker 1: something that you deliberately did in one of our stores.
- 46:32Speaker 1: I could care less about what you think. What happened
- 46:35Speaker 1: was that I was on the floor. I fail. I'm
- 46:38Speaker 1: gonna they don't have to pay for the claim. No,
- 46:42Speaker 1: we're not gonna. Actually, ma'am, what I'm gonna have to
- 46:44Speaker 1: do is get you to come down and sign uh
- 46:47Speaker 1: an agreement. Yes, I'm gonna need you to come down
- 46:50Speaker 1: and sign an agreement that you actually made this whole
- 46:54Speaker 1: thing up, and I need that in wrong nowhere. Look, ma'am,
- 46:58Speaker 1: I don't care if you come down or I have
- 47:00Speaker 1: to come down and haul your tin because I'm not
- 47:02Speaker 1: signing over a check to you for somebody that deliberately
- 47:05Speaker 1: laid down in the floor and act like something was
- 47:07Speaker 1: wrong with them. Good and mine deliberately done it. How
- 47:11Speaker 1: exactly it was. Witnesses, you need to talk to them.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I've spoken to every witness and you know what, man,
- 47:18Speaker 1: everyone witness because my friend was there, you haven't spoken
- 47:23Speaker 1: to her. There's a lot of people that assume that
- 47:25Speaker 1: you're lying. Well, I don't kill what they are. Man,
- 47:29Speaker 1: let me explain something. We can take this thing further.
- 47:32Speaker 1: I even have you on video actually deliberately laying down
- 47:36Speaker 1: in the middle of the floor as if you have
- 47:39Speaker 1: no No, I am not man. We're not gonna give
- 47:43Speaker 1: you two We're not going to give you two dollars.
- 47:46Speaker 1: What's your name? My name is Brad with the ANC department. Well,
- 47:50Speaker 1: you want to be him the job? Too much going
- 47:52Speaker 1: on because you're a fool. No, No, I'm not a fool.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I want to make sure that you understand. I want
- 47:56Speaker 1: to make sure that you understand. You understand that this
- 48:00Speaker 1: is not something that you can do or continue to do.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Now I want to hear it out of your mouth.
- 48:05Speaker 1: You tell me, did you lay down on that floor deliberately?
- 48:08Speaker 1: If you think I'm going to city here and tell
- 48:12Speaker 1: you I deliberately laid down in a floor? Am I crazy?
- 48:16Speaker 1: Am I crazy? For you sitting here and tell me
- 48:18Speaker 1: the tale that it as all? No, deliberately laid down
- 48:24Speaker 1: on that floor and you're deliberately trying to get two
- 48:27Speaker 1: thousand dollars worth the money that does not belong to you.
- 48:29Speaker 1: What you just review the damn cape and uh you
- 48:33Speaker 1: will see what happened. Would you like for me to
- 48:35Speaker 1: get authorities to come over man and bring you in?
- 48:38Speaker 1: Because what we who you get get whether you want
- 48:42Speaker 1: to get. If I need to send authorities down there,
- 48:45Speaker 1: you send them over here. I'm either I don't think
- 48:51Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not. They're gonna bring you in and
- 48:53Speaker 1: you're gonna sign this form I have that deliberately laid
- 48:56Speaker 1: down on that floor. You a fool, the nerving you
- 48:59Speaker 1: black people. I'm not coming in. I'm not signing nothing
- 49:03Speaker 1: now what Utah man, I don't know. I ain't ever
- 49:07Speaker 1: heard this, Utah man. Now, I want you to bring
- 49:10Speaker 1: your little narrow black behind in here so we can
- 49:12Speaker 1: get this stuff rectified. Is what I want done. Are
- 49:15Speaker 1: you crazy or dasa? You ain't your sharpest tool? And
- 49:19Speaker 1: to share that? Tell you that I am not coming in.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I don't know what I would have to come in. Fuck.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I want you to sign a form that you deliberately
- 49:27Speaker 1: laid down in this floor and it was all fictitiously,
- 49:30Speaker 1: No wonder would I do something like that and hedn't
- 49:33Speaker 1: go to jail. Why would you lay down in the
- 49:35Speaker 1: floor in the in the first place, and when you
- 49:37Speaker 1: knew nothing. I told you I didn't do that. Yes
- 49:40Speaker 1: she did, Yes she did. It's in front of you.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I can look you in your eyes and tell when
- 49:44Speaker 1: you're lying. I'm told you I told you what. Hell,
- 49:48Speaker 1: that's it. That's all back? Hey, can I say? Let
- 49:51Speaker 1: me say one more Hello? Call it right back? Hello. Well,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I don't want to continue to go back and forth. Look,

- 53:32Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter. Thank you nephew. Subject Tweedlede, He's
- 53:37Speaker 1: with me. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm thirty eight years old
- 53:40Speaker 1: and I moved back to my hometown to take care
- 53:43Speaker 1: of my daddy. My eighteen year old son lives more
- 53:46Speaker 1: lives there temporarily to attend a vocational school and he's
- 53:50Speaker 1: living with his daddy while he's there. Before I moved
- 53:53Speaker 1: back to town, my son's daddy was begging me to
- 53:56Speaker 1: stay with him and my son. I told him I'd
- 53:59Speaker 1: rather stay with my dad because my son told him
- 54:02Speaker 1: that his dad has a crazy girlfriend and she pops
- 54:05Speaker 1: up at the house all the time. I was expecting
- 54:08Speaker 1: to have a lot of great sex with my son's dad,
- 54:10Speaker 1: because he is the best I've ever had. Little did
- 54:14Speaker 1: I know that the great sex would come with so
- 54:16Speaker 1: much unnecessary drama. As soon as I got back to town,
- 54:21Speaker 1: my son's dad wouldn't stop sweating me. He begged me
- 54:24Speaker 1: to go out on dates, and he loved showing me
- 54:27Speaker 1: off to all of his friends. In the process of
- 54:30Speaker 1: doing that, I guess he forgot he had a girlfriend.
- 54:34Speaker 1: I started getting harassed by an older lady named Tish.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I found out that she's like twenty years older than us.
- 54:40Speaker 1: She would follow us around town and too much is
- 54:43Speaker 1: happening nowadays with love triangle, so I was scared of her.
- 54:47Speaker 1: It wasn't until she got smart with a cashier at
- 54:50Speaker 1: the grocery store one day and got her tail beat
- 54:53Speaker 1: that I realized she wasn't a threat That's when I
- 54:56Speaker 1: started giving her the same energy she was giving me.
- 55:00Speaker 1: She posted a photo of me and my son's dad
- 55:03Speaker 1: on Facebook and captioned it Tweedle d and Tweedle dumb
- 55:07Speaker 1: because everyone calls me d. So I comment at Tweedle
- 55:11Speaker 1: d he's with me and it started a big mess.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Now all of her old friends are attacking me on Facebook.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Great sex with my ex started a big mess with
- 55:21Speaker 1: Tish and them. How can I get these older ladies
- 55:24Speaker 1: to chill? Well, how can you get these older ladies
- 55:29Speaker 1: to chill? You're probably not gonna be able to get
- 55:31Speaker 1: them to chill because they don't have anything better to do.
- 55:35Speaker 1: I mean if they did, if they had a life,
- 55:37Speaker 1: they wouldn't be messing with you and harassing you. Tish
- 55:40Speaker 1: thinks you've stolen her man, and she's got her girls
- 55:43Speaker 1: on board to help get you out of the way.
- 55:47Speaker 1: And what is with you and him anyway? I mean,
- 55:50Speaker 1: did he cheat on you? Like he's cheating on you
- 55:53Speaker 1: like he's cheating on Tish with you? Is that why
- 55:57Speaker 1: you guys broke up? I mean, do you still want
- 56:00Speaker 1: him or you guys trying to get back together? What
- 56:03Speaker 1: is going on? He's showing you off to his friends
- 56:05Speaker 1: and taking you on dates and stuff. Does he wants
- 56:08Speaker 1: you to stay at his house? I'm trying to figure
- 56:10Speaker 1: this out. What is going on with this relationship. It
- 56:13Speaker 1: sounds like you two get along outside of the great sex.
- 56:17Speaker 1: So what is it? Because it sure sounds like more
- 56:19Speaker 1: than just a sexual relationship here. I mean, we need
- 56:22Speaker 1: some answers. The problem is You've got to decide if
- 56:26Speaker 1: the great sex or the best sex ever as you say,
- 56:29Speaker 1: is worth all the drama with Tishan him because it
- 56:32Speaker 1: doesn't sound like Tishan the Golden Girls are gonna stop
- 56:35Speaker 1: harassing you anytime soon. So this is a decision you're
- 56:39Speaker 1: gonna have to make. Either go over there and stay
- 56:41Speaker 1: with him, or leave him and just be with your
- 56:44Speaker 1: daddy and mind your own business. Steve, Wow, you're thirty eight,
- 56:50Speaker 1: Move back to your hometown, take care of your daddy.
- 56:53Speaker 1: You got a son to say eighteen, leals with awe
- 56:57Speaker 1: daddy while he's there, and before you move back. Your
- 57:01Speaker 1: son's daddy was begging you to stay with him and
- 57:03Speaker 1: your son. I told him I'd rather stay with my
- 57:06Speaker 1: dad because my son told me that his dad has
- 57:09Speaker 1: a crazy girl friendsh She popped up at the house
- 57:11Speaker 1: all the time. I'm gonna tell you why. I was
- 57:15Speaker 1: expecting to have a lot of great sex with my
- 57:17Speaker 1: son's dad, because he's the best ever had a little
- 57:19Speaker 1: Did I know that the great sect would come with
- 57:21Speaker 1: so much unnecessary drama. So as soon as you got
- 57:25Speaker 1: back to town, your son's daddy wouldn't stop sweating you,
- 57:28Speaker 1: beg you out on dates, love, showing you off to
- 57:32Speaker 1: all the friends. And then in the process he forgot
- 57:36Speaker 1: he had a girl. I started getting harassed by older
- 57:44Speaker 1: lady named Tish. Now let's stop right here. First of all,
- 57:49Speaker 1: her name is not Tish. It's not no when you
- 57:53Speaker 1: are older woman, see like she's probably like overfitted. Yeah,
- 57:58Speaker 1: she's twenty years older. Now, Oh so she at least
- 58:03Speaker 1: fifty eight. God dog, Well, then her name is not Tish.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Nobody was named Tish back then. That was the nickname.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Her name to Sheena. Her name is to Sheina. So
- 58:21Speaker 1: let's get that straight right now. So already you have
- 58:24Speaker 1: a problem because you're dealing with somebody that was born
- 58:28Speaker 1: before nineteen seven. Oh, I can't tell you what come
- 58:35Speaker 1: with this. It's a lot come with this girl. She's
- 58:40Speaker 1: twenty years older than us. She follows around on town.
- 58:45Speaker 1: You know, it's too much happening nowadays. She got time
- 58:49Speaker 1: to follow you around. She retired, she's retired. She following
- 58:56Speaker 1: you around, you in a love triangle. And then you
- 59:00Speaker 1: found out that she wasn't all that threatening you. You
- 59:02Speaker 1: were scared of it. Then she got an ask by
- 59:04Speaker 1: a cash down at the grocery store. That's another sign
- 59:08Speaker 1: that you old you're not fighting by coopons and everything.
- 59:12Speaker 1: She was. Why you fighting me the cash? Either you
- 59:17Speaker 1: got the money or you don't this some coopons, Or
- 59:24Speaker 1: she told you you had to put something back and
- 59:28Speaker 1: you felt like you didn't have to. Or she asked
- 59:32Speaker 1: for a price check and you said, I'm telling you
- 59:34Speaker 1: right now it's a dollar eighty. Well, we're gonna do
- 59:37Speaker 1: a price check. That's how you got in the fight
- 59:40Speaker 1: with the cash. He old she got these coopons that
- 59:43Speaker 1: y'all wouldn't give her that two somebody got to pay.
- 59:48Speaker 1: Well that first two of your response coming up at
- 59:50Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after um Today's Strawberry Letters, subject tweetled
- 59:54Speaker 1: d he's with me. We'll get back into it right
- 59:57Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve Let's
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letter. The subject is tweetlede. He's with
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: me thirty eight year old lady to mess around and
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: got involved with her ex that's the father of her child.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: He move She moving back in town to help her
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: daddy out. He wanted her to move back in with them.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: He's great sex, best she ever had. She was thinking
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: about it, but her son called at one time and said,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: be careful. He got this crazy girlfriend to pop up
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: all time. That's cause she retired, so she ain't got
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: to be at work. You know, she go to bingo
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: night and then come over. You know she doing all this?
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Is she old? She said in the letter. She twenty
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: years older than us. So the woman is fifty eight.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: And you say her name is Tish. I told you
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: that's not her name. If she's fifty eight, she was
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: born probably before nineteen seventy, would that be right? Yeah? Before? Yeah, So,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: ain't nobody name Tish before? That's a nickname. Her name
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: is Toshina. Shout out to Tina Arnolds and to and
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: to shechinah is up your back now you now you
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: he's showing you off round town and everything. And he
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: didn't forgot he got this crazy girlfriend. She just started
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: running up on you, threatening you and everything. And then
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you found out she got in the fight at the
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: grocery store and got her asshood who fights a cash
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: shill at a grocery store? Old people? And what did
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: you fight at the cash hill about coupon? Who still
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: cutting out coupon? She ain't got no app none of that.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: She's sending hum in that newspaper collecting him coupon. And
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: they were fighting over some Uncle Ben's because Uncle Bean said,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: if you buy one, you get one free. But her
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: coupon had expired, and she thought she well, she couldn't
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: get down here last week because she had to go
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: pick up her medicine. And you ought to understand that
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: and let her have this extra box of right, but
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: you didn't, So to ha swung on the ass, notw
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: a young girl what have it? And a young girl
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: beat the ass about that uncle bred. Right, So now
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: now you didn't start giving her the same mess she
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: giving you. So anyway, she didn't posted a picture you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: and your son's daddy on Facebook and capture it, tweetle
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: d and tweetle dumb. Because everybody called me d, so,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I commented tweetle d he's with me and all that
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: started a big mess. Now all of her old friends
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: are attacking me on Facebook. And let me tell you something.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: You up against something because old people on Facebook, they
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: ain't on Instagram, they ain't on TikTok. Old ass people
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: is on Facebook. Now her old ass friends is attacking.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: So now Gerardine, an't you, Paul Letter, in't you Gwenn
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: in't you? Clara, the whole gang, old lass names too, Barbara, Betty,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Susan names don't nobody have no more? Nobody gives the
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: girl let Yeah, yeah, so you know all these names
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: right here. So now you didn't got into this old world,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: but it's real simple to get out of. You say,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: great sex with my ex started a big mess and
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: tishing it with Tish Niel. Let's see, that's that's Tessina, Giordane,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Paul Letter, Gwen and Clara, Clara fo nobody naming their
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: baby clart, no girl, no body. They're sitting around. They
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: they're going to bingo night. They they in a quick contest.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: They down there participant in participating in bakeoffs. They're doing. Uh,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: let me see what else they're doing. Oh they play cards, Yeah,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: but they play cards. Now they play pinockle. You you
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: don't hardly nobody know how to play Pinockley. They playing
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Pinockle and tunk. You got to be hood to play tune.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: So now you up against that? How do I get
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: these older ladies to chill? First of all, ignore them
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: on Facebook? There is no back and forth if you
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: don't go back. See fourth get old when you ain't
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: nobody talking back to the problem y'all had. And I
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: had to teach this to my son one time. He
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: was being attacked online and I said, bro, you keep typing.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Stop typing, m stop typing. Back and forth ends when
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: it ain't no back. So fourth, fourth ain't nothing that's
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: gonna get old at the while. So Jesse ignored him
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: on Facebook. Don't say nothing else and just let it go.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Now know this, and I know this gonna sound ugly,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: but I'm gonna just have to tell you the truth.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: If you just be patient, yeah, wait them out, they're
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: gonna start dying. No, just tell you that, just telling you,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: I'm just telling you. I don't know who you are.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I don't know who that. I don't know who Paul
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: let a goin neilm Is. But if you just wait
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: them out, they're gonna start dying. Blanch ro Sophia blanch
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: because hally nobody ain't blanch no ever. But your lunch
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: rock sand don't worry about it all right? Post your
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: comments on today. See Barry FM on Instagram and Facebook.

- 1:06:20Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, the NBA
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: All Star Game is this weekend in Salt Lake City,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: including the three point Contest and slam dunk Contest. Here's
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: a question for you, Stephen Tommy, in your opinion, and
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I know you have an opinion on this. In your opinion,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: who were some of the best slam dunkers in the
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: league and how do you rank them? Let's go by rankings.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: How do you rank these guys? First one out the
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: gate ranked number one? For you feel spud Wheel, They're
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: just hands down, hands down, he jumping high. Anybody out
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: there short by far By Okay, I ain't buy Okay,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: that's first numb number one for me is Vince Carter. Yes,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I just can't Vince Carter man with Jesse. Okay, well
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: you got next to Tommy. Come on, Oh it's gonna
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: be Nate. Y'all know Nate, don't you? Nate Robinson? Come on,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Nate Robinson. These are people that's jumping higher than anybody.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I'm just saying, all right, come on, come on. Who
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: you got Steve the human Highlight, Real Dominique Wilkins, who, yes,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: all right, let me go the one that's got the
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: most babies ever, Sean Kilp. That boy right there though
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: he wasn't short, he wasn't short, but that boy that
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: he could dunk out this world. I don't know this
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: guy's name. I think it's Levine Za Zack Levine. Yeah,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: this is boy. He he he did the coldest dunk
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I've ever seen when he jumped over that mascot in
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: the seated position, took the ball out of his hands
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: under his butt, and then boded around and dunk it. Doc.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Do you know how high this boy was sitting in
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: the air? That high? Okay, you gotta put MJ in
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: there because I mean, I mean it from what was
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: it from the free throw line? Up from the free throw. Yeah,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: you know they didn't done that now, but you know,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Michael Jordan is the best but back then the best
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: end game in the game in okay, in the actual
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: playing the game, not the contest. Is that what you're saying,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Eric Jordan? Now covid and put down some nasty stuff too. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Cobe Coby put some stuff down on them, you know,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: But that's I mean, I'm pretty sure I'm missing a
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: whole bunch of people, but the doctor, you know, sir. Yeah,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: I'm old school, so I'm missing one though, Mugs Bows.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: What all right? Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: some social media advice. This person wants to know how
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: do I tell my parents I'm not going to their college.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Morning show, all right. Steve Samantha on Facebook says, all
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: my life, I've been groomed to go to college that
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: my parents went to. We go to all the games,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: and nearly everyone in my family went there, including my
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: older siblings. I've always assumed I would go there, but
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I applied to several schools anyway, just in case I
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: didn't get in, And now I want to go to
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: one of the other schools where I was accepted. I
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: know it's going to be a disappointment to everyone in
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: my family that I'm not going to the same school
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: they all went to, but I think the Southern school
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: would be a better fit for me personally. So Uncle Steve,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: how do I break the news to my parents? And
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: did you deal with this with your kids about your college? Absolutely? Absolutely,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: you dealt with it. I wanted to go somewhere, and
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: they told me they wanted to go somewhere, So I said, fine,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: you know your life. You know you can go to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: that school if you want to. I'm paying for mohau. Oh,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: you tell your sons that obviously they didn't take your
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: ass where you want to Mohause, Well why can't they
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: pick school though? Dog? Why can't well you know what
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I mean, why your daughter got to go you little
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: ragget ass school. You know, I ain't you the first
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: first black ass person to come out with a damn
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: DAS degree? Sound like okay, and that's something wrong with
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: that man right now? Oh? Oh, we little tight about
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: the little jokes about this little school like you bought it. Sorry,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: you know, you know your baby is getting straight here.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I ain't say nothing about that. I just said, okay,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: can we help the lad because this ain't proud. It's
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: about timing clearly, okay. So what is the question she
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: wants she wants to know? Is it okay? Okay? How
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: does she break the news to her parents? Parents should
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: be open to let you. I wish I had let
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: my sons go where they wanted to go. Why Why
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: do you feel differently now? You know? Maybe they ain't
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: have been better? You know, I thought it was good
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: teach them a lot more. They learned a lot down
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: there at the house. That's a great institution. But you know,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: you know, you can't can't guy them where you want
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: him to go, you know. Then then after that, after that,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I let everybody go wherever they want to go. Then
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: that ain't work out either with them boys, So matter
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I couldn't get mad. Hell, y'all ain't doing good at school.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Just don't say the word raggedy. Okay, Okay, Oh you're
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: gonna put some salt on it. Go ahead, I'm putting
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: salt on it. Military everything. You got another one? Yeah,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: A couple of days ago. This is from Andrea a
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: couple of days ago. I was running late coming home
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: from work. When I got home, I apologized to my
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: boyfriend for being late. He said not to worry about it,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: and that he knew where I was the whole time.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: I asked him how, and he showed me the app
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: on my phone that he uses to track me. It
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: kind of freaked me out for a minute, but he
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: also showed me how I can use the same app
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: to find out where he is any time. My boyfriend
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: handles all the tech stuff around the house, and I
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: actually prefer that. But now I don't know if I
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: should be mad at him about tracking me without asking
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: my permission? Am I blowing this out of proportion? Or
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: is it legit that I should be concerned and see
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: this as controlling behavior. It's not controlling behavior. It's called concerned.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: It's called concerned. You know, women sometimes you know, ladies
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: not understand. You know. You might might have been cool
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: if he'd told you about it. Yes, yeah, but I
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: don't think it's nothing about control. It could be concerned.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: You know. It's okay, I knew where you was, man,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: but didn't guess what. You got it on your phone
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: where you can track him? Now if you couldn't track him,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: but he could track you. You got a problem, But
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: he said, baby, this is where I am all the time,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: because things happen in this world. Now you can track
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: where a person and you can track where you left
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: your phone. Now, Yeah, so I wouldn't. I wouldn't make
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: that bigger deal out of it because he showed you
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: that you can track him too. Okay, that ain't that
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: big of a deal to me. I think she just
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: wanted to be. But you're gonna get some bigger stuff
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: come down your way, because somebody gonna tell you one
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: day you got raggedy ass phone, and then you're gonna
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: have to deal with day coming up with twenty minutes
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: All right, listen. Word of advice, don't mess with Iced
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Tea's wife, Coco. Okay, Iced Tea does not play when
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: it comes to Coco. A social media troll recently tweeted
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: that Coco had addressed that was too small for her
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: voluptuous figure at the Grammys. The troll's name is Maureene,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: and she compared singer Adele to Coco. Marine tweeted the
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: back when singer Back when singer Adele was heavier, she
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: was classy and didn't have to be in dresses three
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: sizes too small. Iced Tea's response, Marine, when was the
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: last time you had some? You know what? That's the
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: problem lol. Iced Tea went on to tweet. We never attack,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: but we retaliate. Keeping it as real as possible was
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: always a goal for me. Leave that man alone. This
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: this man's wife, they got some real they've been together
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: a long time. But see some of that people always
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: commenting on somebody else. No, let her live her life now.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: If you got a problem with the problem, because you
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: can't wear what you want to wear yourself all the
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: time about people. I know why she got that on,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Why she went on him? Where about that? I Tea
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: got one more left in him now, don't run up
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: on him like you said before. Most grown ass men
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: got a good one in him. I'm just telling you, man,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: I read somewhere it's best to let an old man
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: have his bourbon and his cigars and just leave him alone.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: He ball than you. I ain't got but one guilt
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: when your ass I'm no lay around would you rather,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Right after you're listening, it is time for a round.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: If would you rather? Would you rather never be able
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: to lie again? Be Steve? Or never be able to
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: smile again? Oh? M, gott a smile for your work?
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Now you all laugh all the time? Never be able
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: to lie? Laugh the good for the soul. Look at him,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: he's so so torn? Which one is? It's Steve? Laugh
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: for a lie? Which one? What about? You? Tell me
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: why he's deciding? I gotta laugh? I got okay, I
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: gotta tell you so you'll never lie again, So you'll
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: tell the truth all the time, all the time, and
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: laughing every time I want to lie? Laugh, I tell
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: you right now, if I have to stop lying? Do
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: you notice sadness that's gonna be into my life? Do
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: you know the misery that's coming my way? If I
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: got to tell the truth all the damn time, I
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: probably ain't gonna smile no more? Know how? So? Hey man,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: what's wrong with you? Told her the truth? What is
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: wrong with the truth? All right? Would you rather always
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: say whatever you're thinking? Or never be able to speak again?
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: We are that the Would you rather always say whatever
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: you're thinking or never be able to speak again. Oh no,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: you come on, get it right between nine. Yeah, I
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: said what I said firing off. Well, I told y'all
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: how important line was. But you want that it is
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: right face? Would you rather be huh? Would you say, Tommy?
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't. I said dead in the face. I'm telling
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you would. Y'all your relationship with crumble that they over?
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: M hmm, Yeah, I don't told Passta some stuff. I
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: didn't just say it everything the past. Yeah yeah. Would
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: you rather be stuck on an island with your partner
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: for a year but without any food, or without your
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: partner with enough food to survive for a year? Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Hey baby, baby, I'll see you next summer. Done together? Fulk,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: Hey baby, I'll see you next summer. Eat up, enjoy
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: your life. Remember me, ain't got nothing for you. We're
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: gonna make it. I'm looking at her like a piece
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: of hamburger. Mean yeah, all right, you guys coming on show,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: but without crying. No. Forty nine minutes after the hour,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: last break of the day and some closing from the
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: to show. Here we are our last break of the
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: day on this Thursday, it's been a good day. It's
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: been a good day. Yeah, every day it's a good day. Yeah.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: A man, when you get to Thursday, it's it's it's
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: it's a home scratch around. We go mad. I'm not
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: mad at Thursday and Friday. No, tell me doesn't like Fridays.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: They'll remember because they're too when you right back in,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: you know what I mean? You just seem like it's
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: but tell me you did you did want to ask
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Steve a question before you get out of here? Yeah, so, uncle,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: because I talked to a lot of people in the
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: entertainment business, you know that. It's oh yeah, I'm sorry, Yeah,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I said, just sound like this gonna be my closest
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: marks for less might be might be? So tell me this,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: un But those are those stars that are coming up
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: of people that want to be stars? And and what
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: does it take to keep your light on? How much
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: work did you have to put in to keep your
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: light on as a star. I think a lot of
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: people don't realize once once you are considered a star,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: and now you're trying to keep the light on. Now
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: you're trying to continue to keep your star as bright
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: as possible. What does it take. You've been a star
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: for a long time, your star being bright for a
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: long time. I don't know one time where it's gotten
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: dim on. You probably know more than I do. When
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: you're star got a little dim a little brighter. Right
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: now it's shining bright as all get out. What what? What?
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: What can you tell entertainers or people that want to
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: be entertainers about keeping that star bright or even being
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: a star period? All right, let me explain it to
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: you this way. First of all, stardom everybody to seek
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: and fame and start them. It's not up to you.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: You can wish for it, you can hope for it,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: you can put it on your vision board, you can
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: dream about it. You can you can you can, you
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: can try to map it out. A person becoming a
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: star is not up to you. That is completely up
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: to the masses. The public decides who becomes stars and
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: who doesn't. And the only way to become a star
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: is by the grace of God. It is the only way.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: It is the only way. There is no what' on
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: how to become a star. There is no there is
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: no course on how to become a star. You can
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: get all the likes you won't you can get all
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: the views and it clicks, you won't. That does not
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: make you a star. That those instant views you're getting
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: in clicks is that one time, that one time you
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: you are flashing the pan. That's not what stardom is, man,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: And so many people are after it nowadays, thinking that
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: they can get it through clicks and views. That ain't
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: gonna make you no star. It's the masses that make
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: you a star over continuous period of time, and that
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: ain't up to you. That can only happen by God's
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: grace and favor. It ain't a person in here that
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: can tell you how to be a star. That person
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: don't exist. Who are there? You know much money you
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: can make if you could make people stars? Come on, man,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: that's not how it works. Now. If you are fortunate
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: enough that that is your dream and it comes true,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Lord have mercy. I cannot tell you how daunting over
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: a task that is, because in all your endeavors and
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: all your trials and tribulations you got to overcome to
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: try to make it to that point of a star
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: who had millions of people know your name on site.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: See you you can stop all this star? Oh I
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: thought that was I thought, that's all. I ain't show
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: no no long when they say your name, when they
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: see you millions of people and you've arrived at that point.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: I can't tell you how long it will take you
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: to get that, and I can't tell you how daunting
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: it is, because every path is different. But once you
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: get that, let me tell you something. The work has
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: just begun. If you think it's hard to make it,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: let me tell you how difficult it is to maintain.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Because now now hold up, see listen to me. I'm
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: gonna tell you a real quick story what happened to
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: me when I first became a millionaire. I became a
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: millionaire one day and my manager, Wan Hull, came up
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: to me and saying, hey, man, we're gonna go out
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: and celebrate. I said, celebrate for one. He said, dog,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: you're a millionnaire. You've made a million dollars. You got
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: a million dollars. Man had that countant and said, here
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: it is. You got a million dollars. I said, cool,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: I had one million, like just over the million mark,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: one million, one thous. I took everybody out to dinner
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: that night. I spent three thousand dollars at dinner. The
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: next morning, my accountant called me laughing. He said, Man,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: I hope you enjoyed a millionaire status. You had one million,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: one thousand some dollars. You spend three thousand dollars on dinner.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: You got nine hundred ninety eight thousand. You ain't a
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: millionaire no more. And that taught me a valuable lesson
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: that one day, because now that you become this star,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: what you have to do to maintain it is far more,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: far more difficult, because now you have to replicate what
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: you've done over and over and over and over and
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: over in a sustained period of time, over the course
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: of years to be able to hold onto your stardom. Man,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: that's so hard, y'all. That is so hard. That is
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: so hard. It's like you trying to hold onto the
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: starting quarterback position for forty years. You know how many time, bradies,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: it is out there. The average quarterback in the NFL
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: ain't gonna last that long, man, because somebody got your
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: position in mind. If you to manage it down at
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: the plan, if you're the CEO, if you're the top driver,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: somebody gonna replace you as top salesman one day. Unless
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: you keep grinding hard or heart or harder, and you're
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: gonna get older. Man, thing's gonna change. You need some
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: more grace and some more mercy. You need God to maintain.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: Let me tell you so here the truth. You need
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: God to get there, and you need Mo Good to
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: stay there. That's my closing remarks. That's what I'm gonna
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: tell you, buddy. You need God to get there and
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: you need Mo Good to stay there. You think I'm lying,
