- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things, and it's not good. It sEH together
- 0:28Speaker 1: to please. I want to join join me. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn be hurting you're going to do. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out the turn, turn water to the water. Go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your tha. Uh huh. I shall will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good marning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now one and on it. Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, today is simple. I want
- 2:15Speaker 1: to tell you. I want to just talk to you
- 2:19Speaker 1: about effort today. Just about effort. You know, it's it's
- 2:26Speaker 1: it's it's a word that people use to describe sometimes trying.
- 2:32Speaker 1: But what I found out about trying is trying is
- 2:35Speaker 1: just a noble way of saying you didn't get it done.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I tried when and then everybody go, well he tried,
- 2:45Speaker 1: that was the best. Well that's that's not exactly true
- 2:49Speaker 1: though that that's that's not exactly true, you all, And
- 2:53Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about that because I
- 2:56Speaker 1: don't want you to be one of the people who
- 2:58Speaker 1: just tried. See trying, I mean, I gotta tell you
- 3:05Speaker 1: to attempt something. You're gonna have to first try, but
- 3:08Speaker 1: I want you to change your mind set from trying
- 3:13Speaker 1: to getting it done. See, that's a big difference. I'm
- 3:17Speaker 1: really more apt to listen to the person that says
- 3:19Speaker 1: to me, I'm gonna get it done. I'm gonna try.
- 3:23Speaker 1: What try does is it allows you to fail. It's
- 3:26Speaker 1: the person that has the mindset that I'm gonna get
- 3:29Speaker 1: it done. Is the person who changes the complexion of things.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it done. It's very different than I'm
- 3:36Speaker 1: gonna try. You know. Look, man, I know this sounds
- 3:40Speaker 1: a little harsh, but you gotta stop feeding yourself these
- 3:45Speaker 1: little old wise sayings that ain't it was a valiant tribe.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Hey man, you talk to anybody that took second place
- 3:54Speaker 1: in the super Bowl and see how they feel about
- 3:56Speaker 1: their valiant try. The only way to gain God's real
- 4:02Speaker 1: blessings is you have to try something. Stevie backpedaling. Now,
- 4:09Speaker 1: listen to me close. You have to put forth an
- 4:14Speaker 1: effort to allow God to put his finger on something
- 4:21Speaker 1: to bless on your behalf. You must start to attempt
- 4:28Speaker 1: now insane getting it done and I'm gonna try. That's
- 4:32Speaker 1: a different of two different faiths to me that I'm
- 4:36Speaker 1: just talking about me. Now, you may be different, so
- 4:38Speaker 1: I can't. I can't say this about you, but I
- 4:41Speaker 1: can't say this about me. If I say I'm gonna
- 4:45Speaker 1: get it done, I have a lot of faith in it.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I am going to get it done because I just
- 4:54Speaker 1: don't see failure as an option. A lot of times now,
- 4:58Speaker 1: if somebody says to me, like the Olympic team invited
- 5:01Speaker 1: me out to curl one day, which is throw these
- 5:04Speaker 1: stones on the ice. If you're not familiar with it's
- 5:07Speaker 1: very simple, and so I said, man, I'd like to
- 5:12Speaker 1: give that a try. I went in full well knowing
- 5:18Speaker 1: I may not come away from this little curling lesson
- 5:22Speaker 1: as a person who could make the Olympic team. I
- 5:26Speaker 1: just wanted to try it because I thought it looked cool,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and I always wanted to get it done. Well. I
- 5:30Speaker 1: failed twice. I threw a stone completely into the other lane.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I lost that little ice shoe. It shot out under me.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But you know what, I kept trying though. I kept
- 5:44Speaker 1: trying until I got four of them stones in that circle.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Right where I ain't. But now had I give it
- 5:51Speaker 1: up after I failed, after I threw that stone in
- 5:55Speaker 1: the other lane, after I shot my shoe down all
- 5:59Speaker 1: the way to the bottom, I'm side the little ice
- 6:00Speaker 1: shoe they give you. I never would did it, But
- 6:03Speaker 1: because I was trying. Something got me together a little
- 6:08Speaker 1: bit because of my effort, and it caused me not
- 6:11Speaker 1: to fall the next time, not to throw it into
- 6:13Speaker 1: other lane, not to shoot my shoe to the back
- 6:16Speaker 1: of the wall. All of a sudden, my trying became something.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Now had I stayed out there and it wasn't so cold,
- 6:24Speaker 1: and I went back week after week after week after week,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I promise you I could get it done. I could
- 6:33Speaker 1: at least know how to compete in a game of curling.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Might not be the best. I might not win the championship,
- 6:41Speaker 1: but I could have got it done to the point
- 6:43Speaker 1: where I could have competed in the game of curling.
- 6:45Speaker 1: So sometimes if you're scared to say I'm gonna get
- 6:48Speaker 1: it done, just go out there and get started. You know,
- 6:53Speaker 1: learn from every attempt that you make. See, don't quit
- 6:57Speaker 1: writing yourself off as a failure every time something don't
- 7:00Speaker 1: go right. When I failed on that ice. I could
- 7:02Speaker 1: have said, Man, I can't curl, but I hold up. Man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm watching four other women out here curl for other dudes.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Out hit curling, little kids, out hit curling, old love Pardner.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You know, man. So I learned when I threw that
- 7:14Speaker 1: stone on the other ice, when I when I fail,
- 7:17Speaker 1: when when my shoe shot off, I learned from every
- 7:20Speaker 1: attempt a little bit more about it. And then I
- 7:25Speaker 1: said to myself at one point time, man, I'm gonna
- 7:28Speaker 1: get this stone in that circle. I'm gonna get this
- 7:31Speaker 1: stone in this circle. And guess what I got it done.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now what you're saying to me, Steve, I'm saying to
- 7:39Speaker 1: you that you gotta get started, that you gotta put
- 7:42Speaker 1: forth an effort. Give God something to bless. Oh God,
- 7:45Speaker 1: bless me, Oh God, bless me. Bless you? What? Bless you? Where?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Bless you? How? Stop basing your results on what you're thinking.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You gotta think higher. You get God in your life, man,
- 7:58Speaker 1: He allows you to think high, bigger, better more. I'm
- 8:03Speaker 1: sitting up in my debt. I came up with a
- 8:05Speaker 1: plan to get out of debt in five years. I
- 8:08Speaker 1: came up with this plan right I was sitting up,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and I was tripping on it. Now. I said, wait
- 8:12Speaker 1: a minute, man, hold up, this is what I came
- 8:15Speaker 1: up with. I said. God created heaven and earth, all
- 8:21Speaker 1: of it, the mountains, the sky, the valleys, the oceans, trees,
- 8:26Speaker 1: the birds, the Indian Ocean, all of it, made all
- 8:30Speaker 1: of it in six days, and then he rested on
- 8:35Speaker 1: the seven. So why am I taking to God the
- 8:40Speaker 1: five year plan? If he can create heaven and earth
- 8:46Speaker 1: in six days, why am I walking in there talking
- 8:48Speaker 1: about helped me in five years? How is it gonna
- 8:52Speaker 1: take God five years to getting me out of debt?
- 8:57Speaker 1: And he made heaven and Earth in six days? Due
- 8:59Speaker 1: the man half hill, Man, I ain't that big. You
- 9:03Speaker 1: ain't that big. You ain't in that much trouble. I
- 9:06Speaker 1: ain't in that much trouble. See, God got a way
- 9:09Speaker 1: of showing you some things, man, but it's gonna take
- 9:11Speaker 1: some faith, and faith gonna take some effort on your part. Man,
- 9:15Speaker 1: Get out and do something. Man, you God will bless
- 9:18Speaker 1: you a little bit and give you a little bit
- 9:20Speaker 1: more courage. And then all them attempts you making is
- 9:23Speaker 1: gonna and all this so I'll try you know what
- 9:25Speaker 1: that turn into I'm gonna get it done. And at
- 9:27Speaker 1: the end of the day, that's what you have to do.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Because trying to pay your rent and not paying your rent,
- 9:34Speaker 1: it's two different things. You can you can try to
- 9:37Speaker 1: play or pay your rent, or you can get it done. Now,
- 9:39Speaker 1: how long you think you're gonna stay in that house trying.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You got to go with the mindset of getting it done.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And if you can put some stuff out there and
- 9:47Speaker 1: give God a chance to put his finger on it
- 9:48Speaker 1: and bless it for you the most stuff he can
- 9:50Speaker 1: do for you. Quit looking around whether everybody else got
- 9:53Speaker 1: and gonna get some of it for yourself. Okay, all right,
- 9:56Speaker 1: you're listening to show, ladies and gentlemen. Let's get this
- 10:03Speaker 1: whole thing started right here. It's a new day, it's
- 10:06Speaker 1: a new week. I am back in the business of weekends.
- 10:09Speaker 1: The weekend, it's over. It's Monday. Steve Harvey Morning Show Live, vivid,
- 10:17Speaker 1: living color, committed and dedicated to removal of the current
- 10:23Speaker 1: president from the White House. Let this staunch, rousing rendition
- 10:31Speaker 1: of we can't take full more on this hill, major gentleman,
- 10:36Speaker 1: Share Store, Happy Monday, Steve. I'm with you on that.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm with you on that early voting, early voting, baby,
- 10:44Speaker 1: that's it, Shirley, early voting is the key. Give it
- 10:47Speaker 1: to me, Junior, not now another, not doing another for
- 10:51Speaker 1: other nothing, say somebody, Jay, Anthony Brown, we can't take
- 10:56Speaker 1: no more of this show right here, any white out
- 10:59Speaker 1: that's the hell. Oh yeah, not least the King of Prance, Nephew,
- 11:05Speaker 1: Tommy the Tangerine has got to go serious. Yes, he
- 11:12Speaker 1: is not going without up and we don't like, Oh
- 11:21Speaker 1: that's the new protest. Well, the Republican Convention starts tonight
- 11:28Speaker 1: and yeah today, Charlotte, and they say, you know how
- 11:35Speaker 1: normally the president comes on at the end of it,
- 11:38Speaker 1: and you know, he accepts the nomination and everything, gives
- 11:40Speaker 1: the speech. They say, Donald Trump will be there every day.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna start because everybody. He is going to make
- 11:49Speaker 1: sure that his base understands that it's about him. Yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 1: that's all it is. So you know, um, and let
- 12:01Speaker 1: me say this before we get too far, make no
- 12:05Speaker 1: mistake about it that all of us, Shirley Carler, Junior, Jay, Tommy,
- 12:12Speaker 1: all of us, we want all of our listeners to
- 12:15Speaker 1: understand the significance and importance of this election. All of
- 12:20Speaker 1: these people coming on giving these deep reasons about you know,
- 12:24Speaker 1: or what we're gonna do. Now, what's in it for us?
- 12:28Speaker 1: To let me explain to you what's in it for us.
- 12:33Speaker 1: If we don't get rid of this current administration, you're
- 12:38Speaker 1: not fitn to get nothing. You're fitna get just more
- 12:41Speaker 1: of what you've gotten for the past four years, which
- 12:44Speaker 1: is nothing. And if this man doesn't have to worry
- 12:47Speaker 1: about reelection, you're gonna get even less. You're gonna find
- 12:50Speaker 1: out how much he really don't care about you, nobody
- 12:55Speaker 1: else of color. He doesn't care about unifying this country.
- 12:58Speaker 1: He don't care whether your kids get it's sick and
- 13:00Speaker 1: not at school. He ain't trying to do nothing to
- 13:03Speaker 1: end this coronavirus. This man don't care nothing about winning
- 13:06Speaker 1: re election, so he don't become an unseated, unseated president,
- 13:12Speaker 1: because once he becomes unseated, New York is coming for him.
- 13:18Speaker 1: The indictments are going to roll in. Right now, he's
- 13:21Speaker 1: protected by his presidency. This goes away. Man. We got
- 13:26Speaker 1: to get to the polls. We can't do four more
- 13:28Speaker 1: years of this guy. You cannot afford this, all right,
- 13:32Speaker 1: Coming up, thank you, Steve. Coming up at thirty two
- 13:34Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll do Ask the Clo. The CLO,
- 13:38Speaker 1: the Chief Love Officer will be in the building right
- 13:41Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Show. All right, Steve,
- 13:46Speaker 1: it is time. It is time to help some of
- 13:48Speaker 1: our listeners out with their love problems. It's time for
- 13:52Speaker 1: Ask the CLO. You can submit your questions at Steve
- 13:55Speaker 1: Harvey FM. Are you ready? Chief Love Officer? Steve Harvey
- 14:00Speaker 1: born that way? All right? This one's from Carrie and Wichita, Kansas.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I've been supporting my man for the past three years.
- 14:08Speaker 1: When we got married seven years ago, we both worked
- 14:12Speaker 1: and he was the man of the house. Since he
- 14:14Speaker 1: has lost his job, he is comfy with our roles
- 14:17Speaker 1: being reversed. I'm not interested in being the lead of
- 14:20Speaker 1: our family and have gently nudged him to get a job.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He's living off his severance package and keeps talking about
- 14:26Speaker 1: becoming an entrepreneur. It irks me to get home from
- 14:30Speaker 1: work and see him. How long should I support his
- 14:33Speaker 1: dream of starting a business? Well, when is he going
- 14:38Speaker 1: to start to business? Because you say it in your question.
- 14:41Speaker 1: He keeps talking about he's living off his severance package.
- 14:46Speaker 1: He's talking about what he's going to do. I mean,
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. You know what I mean,
- 14:51Speaker 1: you all, I don't know. Look, it's really hard for
- 14:56Speaker 1: a woman when she looks at home. He's gotten comfortable
- 15:00Speaker 1: with being with being comfortable. Yeah, and that's that's not
- 15:05Speaker 1: a good thing. But you're gonna have to sit down
- 15:07Speaker 1: and address it. You're gonna sit down and say, hey,
- 15:10Speaker 1: look what you know? Look, come on, now, what are
- 15:13Speaker 1: we doing? In this days and times? It takes two
- 15:18Speaker 1: incomes to make it usually in these in these times,
- 15:22Speaker 1: we're in so and come on now, I want you
- 15:24Speaker 1: to be the man I'm married. You just had to
- 15:26Speaker 1: sit down and have a warm talk with him. I'm
- 15:28Speaker 1: really proud of y'all. Love you. You know. I want
- 15:31Speaker 1: to support you, but I want to feel you support
- 15:33Speaker 1: us too, because it do make you sick if you
- 15:36Speaker 1: come home and somebody always just sitting there. You've been
- 15:38Speaker 1: at work all day, working hard. Yeah, she gently nudged him,
- 15:44Speaker 1: So you gotta do it more, you know. Um. All right,
- 15:49Speaker 1: Carrie and Wichita, I hope that helped. Thank you, Cielo.
- 15:53Speaker 1: All right? Chris and Maryville, Indiana says I've been married
- 15:56Speaker 1: for eight years and when I got bored in the bedroom,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I suggest to the threesome with my wife. It first
- 16:02Speaker 1: happened two years ago. Yeah, that's what you do when
- 16:05Speaker 1: you're bored. You didn't know, you didn't know, I know,
- 16:08Speaker 1: just a suggestion, all right. So when I got bored
- 16:11Speaker 1: in the bedroom, I suggested a three way to my wife,
- 16:15Speaker 1: A threesome to my wife. It first happened two years ago,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and we've had several females in our bed since then.
- 16:20Speaker 1: We have a young lady that my wife is particularly
- 16:23Speaker 1: fond of, and she's always at our house even if
- 16:26Speaker 1: I'm not home. My wife now enjoys it more than
- 16:30Speaker 1: I do. So I've asked her if we can go
- 16:32Speaker 1: back to our normal sex life. She said she's not
- 16:36Speaker 1: ready to stop just yet. But it's fine if I
- 16:41Speaker 1: don't want to participate anymore. That's not how this was
- 16:44Speaker 1: supposed to go. What should I do now? Hey? Don't hey,
- 16:48Speaker 1: don't hey. I don't feel nothing for you. You you
- 16:53Speaker 1: you asked this, You brought this into your house. Deal
- 16:58Speaker 1: with it. See now, see now you're feeling some kind
- 17:02Speaker 1: of way because she'd ain't even when you ain't there.
- 17:05Speaker 1: M huh. Said she's not ready to stop just yet,
- 17:10Speaker 1: just not not chick. No, you know now you're feeling
- 17:16Speaker 1: kind of kind of look yeah, pushed out. Hey man, Sorry,
- 17:22Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. You asked you
- 17:27Speaker 1: what you say? Hello? Hello, y'all gonna be here. I
- 17:36Speaker 1: love the line. What your mean? Oh? What that? What
- 17:46Speaker 1: that fault? At getting when we together? That's all I'm saying. Yeah, Yeah,
- 17:55Speaker 1: can y'all? Can y'all keep it down? And I'm trying
- 17:59Speaker 1: to watch the game? Sports is bad? Yeah for some rope.
- 18:07Speaker 1: What you tell mad, Yeah, it's fine if you don't
- 18:12Speaker 1: want to prepare, I'm not bringing y'all no damn wa
- 18:21Speaker 1: Yeah all right. This is from Harrison in Tampa, Florida.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Harrison says, I'm in love with a hot headed woman
- 18:30Speaker 1: that has a funny way of expressing her love. We've
- 18:33Speaker 1: been engaged for six months, and recently she got mad
- 18:36Speaker 1: at me and threw her ring out the car window.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I cheated and she found out, so that's why she
- 18:44Speaker 1: threw her ring out. We're back together now and she
- 18:47Speaker 1: wants a new ring. Our wedding is this December, and
- 18:51Speaker 1: I don't have money for another ring and the wedding.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I asked if she'd wear a band of diamonds till
- 18:58Speaker 1: I can afford a nicer ring. She said, we can't
- 19:01Speaker 1: get married till she gets at least two carrots. Am
- 19:04Speaker 1: I wrong for asking her to wait on the ring? Dog?
- 19:09Speaker 1: You ain't really in a position to ask for nothing.
- 19:14Speaker 1: You know what? You lucky? You still getting married. Oh
- 19:20Speaker 1: but now you said she hot headed? Is she only
- 19:24Speaker 1: hot headed when you make her mad? Or she hot
- 19:27Speaker 1: headed all the time? Sound to me like she only
- 19:29Speaker 1: hot headed when you do something stupid like get caught cheating.
- 19:33Speaker 1: She threw the ring out to what. I don't know how.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Your ass wasn't right behind that ring though? Who does that? Though?
- 19:42Speaker 1: Who does a ring out of the window when a
- 19:46Speaker 1: woman get cheated on? Well, but she still wants a ring.
- 19:53Speaker 1: She still wants another ring. She had a ring laid
- 19:56Speaker 1: up under cartie and rolled over it before, right in
- 20:00Speaker 1: front of me. So I lost a ring. It's happen.
- 20:05Speaker 1: We found out it could happen. It could happen. Hot
- 20:09Speaker 1: headed woman. That has a funny way of expressing her love.
- 20:13Speaker 1: And so do you, Harrison and Tampa. Yeah, you have
- 20:17Speaker 1: a funny starr. Am I wrong for asking her to
- 20:23Speaker 1: wait on the ring. Wow, all right, thank you Clo.
- 20:29Speaker 1: As usual. Coming up next, church complaints with Reverend Motown
- 20:32Speaker 1: and decon def Jam. Right after this you're listening to show.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss Anne
- 20:41Speaker 1: will be here with today's national news, including the latest
- 20:45Speaker 1: on two not one, but two hurricane storms, Hurricane Marco
- 20:50Speaker 1: and Laura headed towards the Gulf Coast. The Republican National
- 20:54Speaker 1: Convention kicks off today in Charlotte, and then trending news.
- 20:57Speaker 1: North Korea's dictator Kim Jong own is reportedly in a
- 21:00Speaker 1: coma again huh huh, yeah yeah, Plus an entertainment news
- 21:09Speaker 1: you know singer Jaheim R and B singer Jaheim. Well,
- 21:12Speaker 1: guess who he's supporting for president You don't see it,
- 21:18Speaker 1: Donald Trump. We'll talk about all of these stories coming
- 21:21Speaker 1: up at the top of the Yes, Jahem, but today
- 21:26Speaker 1: is Monday. Reverend Motown, Deacon death Jam are here with
- 21:30Speaker 1: today's church complaints. Let's go. I'm so grateful, so so humble,
- 21:44Speaker 1: hambo by the obilitations, Yeah, overrivability arrival in this blessed deal. Yes,
- 21:56Speaker 1: we are here to recognize the ungrateful hell at the
- 22:03Speaker 1: jack part Joint of Jews, we are here with church
- 22:08Speaker 1: complaints headed up by nung overday, the leader or the pack. Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 1: deaf jam you can't go ahead, the messenger. These are
- 22:22Speaker 1: all of these complaints are directed to you. So I
- 22:26Speaker 1: want you to listen close, all right? The first one here.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Now that we have zoom service with less people, people
- 22:35Speaker 1: want to know why are you speaking longer? You're dragging
- 22:38Speaker 1: it out? Why are you speaking longer than I'm dragging
- 22:43Speaker 1: because I don't have the verbal confirmation that I normally get,
- 22:49Speaker 1: like Amen, preach, preacher, you better say that, compable doctor,
- 22:56Speaker 1: Amen to say that? And a sermon two, which is
- 23:02Speaker 1: making it a bit longer. Ain't man, No, you wanted
- 23:07Speaker 1: to sound like we live or you want to zoom message.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'm just asking path and I'm not. I'm just the messenger. Okay,
- 23:16Speaker 1: Well dad is all right? Now hearing something else? The
- 23:19Speaker 1: church members want to know why they're seeing smoke and
- 23:22Speaker 1: hearing sizzling. Are you grilling at the same time we
- 23:26Speaker 1: at church? Are you cooking something? It is a zoom service.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Now while a choir singing, I got to do something,
- 23:37Speaker 1: I can't see them, come on, pastor, so yes, I'm grilling,
- 23:44Speaker 1: Gonna continue to grill will be grilling from now, we'd
- 23:49Speaker 1: be grilling any more. Damn question, Uh, Pastor, it doesn't
- 23:55Speaker 1: cost anything to use zoom. Why are you asking members
- 23:59Speaker 1: to give to the zoom building funds? Zoom is not
- 24:02Speaker 1: a building. The computer here electricity to run the computer.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I got to get dressed for the zoom. Who am
- 24:16Speaker 1: put your robes on? Put your robes on? I got
- 24:20Speaker 1: to clean the role. All this is expressive. Well, I'm
- 24:27Speaker 1: driving all the way down here to the church to
- 24:30Speaker 1: do the zoom. Ain't nobody here. I'm opening doors, sweeping
- 24:34Speaker 1: down all room, disaffecting the down so and all these
- 24:38Speaker 1: years he upset today he really is your bad robe
- 24:46Speaker 1: instead of your church rob bad. Members are worried that
- 24:50Speaker 1: that belt is gonna come loose and come undown. You
- 24:53Speaker 1: ain't you ain't your bath robes ain't see no y'all
- 24:57Speaker 1: need to make up your mind. What y'all gonna pay
- 25:01Speaker 1: the money to get the rule clean? Or I'm had
- 25:03Speaker 1: to win a rule that I got. H we want
- 25:07Speaker 1: you to look good, Pastor, this was a Louis Vaton
- 25:13Speaker 1: bath rule. So bad? What neither is our membership? But
- 25:29Speaker 1: I'm still preaching to you, all right? All right now,
- 25:32Speaker 1: here's something else. You have missed the last two months
- 25:36Speaker 1: of Bible study on wins because somebody said they saw
- 25:38Speaker 1: you had a cigar. Line lad said, are you missing
- 25:41Speaker 1: Bible study to smoke sigar? You know something, Deacon, I'm
- 25:46Speaker 1: allowed up to hill, which is a series of complaints
- 25:51Speaker 1: about me. Now wise, I got to be a Bible
- 25:56Speaker 1: study when I know everything in now. Oh, praise for
- 26:01Speaker 1: people that need to study. I'm learned it already. Writ
- 26:06Speaker 1: down to the school of seminology. I went to seminology school, seminary,
- 26:12Speaker 1: then I went to theological school. Then I went to
- 26:16Speaker 1: the seminary university. Okay, seminary. Where is that is? It's
- 26:21Speaker 1: down there at the semi university. All right, now, look
- 26:30Speaker 1: at hip hazard. They say that you keep looking down
- 26:33Speaker 1: doing your sermon. Colin, go ahead, that's right in your face.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Are you catching the spirit? Are you watching the game?
- 26:44Speaker 1: I just told you. When I can't hear nobody encouraging me,
- 26:52Speaker 1: I have to encourage myself. I have written down reading
- 26:56Speaker 1: I'm looking down. She looking at me now reading I'm
- 26:59Speaker 1: looking down. It's because I had a word that the
- 27:03Speaker 1: congregation say, you better get it. Come on down, head
- 27:12Speaker 1: that away what you're checking. You know, those are words
- 27:16Speaker 1: that church people say. That's what they think. It sounds
- 27:23Speaker 1: like game, but game and church is the same same words.
- 27:30Speaker 1: What's wrong with taking death? Cham's mike. That's a complaint
- 27:33Speaker 1: from me, sister Shirley. You know what I'm saying. When you,
- 27:36Speaker 1: when you, when you, when your complaints is for the hilaciousness.
- 27:42Speaker 1: God has a way of turning you down very low.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Oh amen, amen, Pastor, you're preaching and and and and
- 27:51Speaker 1: and and and and and his zoom ain't working tonight
- 27:55Speaker 1: to today, evil. Amen. You gotta tell the truth, Pastor. Yeah,
- 28:02Speaker 1: see you going through something secause you know somebody, somebody,
- 28:06Speaker 1: somebody who is really you is back at work. Now
- 28:11Speaker 1: what see he ain't he ain't in his normal location.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Oh okay, Yeah, he down there trying to say the
- 28:21Speaker 1: boys and girls on that TV show when he is here.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Oh standing, listen to me, stay in your place and
- 28:30Speaker 1: covering your past. All right, Thank you, Thank you, Pastor.
- 28:38Speaker 1: We gotta go. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 28:41Speaker 1: political entertainment and national news right after this you're listening
- 28:47Speaker 1: show coming up, miss Anne. We'll have the latest done.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Two hurricane storms Marco and Laura are headed towards the
- 28:55Speaker 1: Gulf Coast. Storm Laura has already caused multiple deaths and
- 29:00Speaker 1: haighty with life threatening flooding and major power outages in
- 29:03Speaker 1: the Dominican Republic. Wow, every year we're dealing with this,
- 29:08Speaker 1: and here we go again, only twenty twenty true style,
- 29:13Speaker 1: two storms back back, two storms. Yeah, this is unheard of. Yeah,
- 29:18Speaker 1: I've never heard of two storms back to back. So close,
- 29:21Speaker 1: so close? Yeah right now, said Trump. Yeah, Yeah, I'm
- 29:27Speaker 1: with you, Jay. All the stuff that's happened never happened
- 29:30Speaker 1: before Trump. Yeah, but right now we're gonna switch gears. Guys,
- 29:36Speaker 1: and Today's Entertainment News get a load of this. R
- 29:38Speaker 1: and B singer Jaheen is supporting Donald Trump. What take
- 29:44Speaker 1: a listen? Please this Trump. Trump has saved a lot
- 29:48Speaker 1: of people. Man, face it, it is what it is.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. Who don't like it, do
- 29:53Speaker 1: your homework because I'm gonna post some more stuff. I'm
- 29:55Speaker 1: gonna wake y'all up. And yeah, if it wasn't for
- 29:58Speaker 1: Trump taking a stance that he's to taken, you guys
- 30:02Speaker 1: would have been done finished in me that you're an idiot,
- 30:10Speaker 1: you're an, I'm gonna put out some most stuff to
- 30:14Speaker 1: wake y'all up. You've been asleep for years. Show nutty ass.
- 30:19Speaker 1: She got to be out man, everybody listening. I'm sick
- 30:24Speaker 1: of this. Yeah, I'm sick of famous as people. Man
- 30:28Speaker 1: that you don't got a little bit now all of
- 30:30Speaker 1: a sudden they think they know something to get out
- 30:33Speaker 1: of here. Who the hell is listening to? Joh how
- 30:39Speaker 1: can we hear that one more time? One more time?
- 30:41Speaker 1: I need to hear what he's saying one more time
- 30:43Speaker 1: about this Trump. Trump has saved a lot of people. Man,
- 30:48Speaker 1: face it, it is what it is. I don't give
- 30:49Speaker 1: a damn. Who don't like it, do your homework because
- 30:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna post some more stuff. I'm gonna wake y'all up.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And yeah, if it wasn't for Trump taking a stance
- 30:57Speaker 1: that he's taken, taken, you guys would have been done finish. Okay,
- 31:06Speaker 1: you don't care who don't like it? Steve Harvey don't
- 31:08Speaker 1: like it, and you're not gonna wake me, cousin. I'm
- 31:12Speaker 1: on the radio, and we on the radio every day
- 31:14Speaker 1: morning wide awake. Now, I don't I don't know what
- 31:18Speaker 1: you doing, Jah, I really don't. I don't know what
- 31:22Speaker 1: you've been doing. I don't know if you're tripping because
- 31:26Speaker 1: you ain't been in the studio. I don't know what
- 31:28Speaker 1: it is. But sit your ass down somewhere el for you.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Misleeed somebody else that ain't that don't that thinks like you. See.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I don't care who you are, man, you go, you
- 31:41Speaker 1: can always find somebody to follow you. It doesn't matter
- 31:44Speaker 1: what you do. And it's sad that famous people want
- 31:49Speaker 1: to say something man and then it ain't got no
- 31:52Speaker 1: validity behind it. Now here's a deal. I don't think
- 31:56Speaker 1: Donald Trump is good for the country. I don't that.
- 32:00Speaker 1: There's a lot of a lot of reasons. I think
- 32:02Speaker 1: he's devisive. I think he's non presidential. I think he's hateful.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I think every issue he picks to take up and
- 32:10Speaker 1: stand on a soapbox over always has something to do
- 32:13Speaker 1: with people of color, whether it's getting mad at Colin Kaepernick,
- 32:18Speaker 1: the NBA players doctor program, banning Muslims from traveling across
- 32:23Speaker 1: the country, building the wall. Everything he got something to
- 32:27Speaker 1: say about got something to do with somebody with some
- 32:30Speaker 1: color that's non white. That can't be good for the country.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Now you wake your ass up to that, and you well,
- 32:37Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, man take you hell, it would
- 32:40Speaker 1: have been done for, done for what has Trump saved
- 32:45Speaker 1: us from man? All same time, Now for today's headlines,
- 32:51Speaker 1: Let's go, ladies and gentlemen, Miss and True. Thank you
- 32:55Speaker 1: very much, Steve, thanks everybody. Well. Of course, Texas Governor
- 32:59Speaker 1: Greg i have It has declared a state of emergency
- 33:01Speaker 1: for close to two dozen counties ahead of the two
- 33:03Speaker 1: expected hurricanes this week, two of them Hurricane Marco, expected
- 33:07Speaker 1: to make landfall along the Louisiana Gulf Coast today, followed
- 33:10Speaker 1: by Tropical Storm Laura, which is also expected to become
- 33:13Speaker 1: a hurricane. So Governor abbot Is said that forces and
- 33:16Speaker 1: state officials are now having to do with both the
- 33:18Speaker 1: weather and the virus. As we are working to perhaps
- 33:23Speaker 1: relocate temporarily some people that need to go to shelters.
- 33:28Speaker 1: What must be very mindful of the ongoing need to
- 33:31Speaker 1: protect against the spread of COVID nineteen. So along with helicopters,
- 33:35Speaker 1: highwater vehicles and such, there'll also be some additional mobile
- 33:38Speaker 1: coronavirus testing sites, he says, in disinfection squads parts of
- 33:41Speaker 1: Mississippi and Louisiana also under states of emergency today again
- 33:45Speaker 1: two count them, two hurricanes coming their way. Well, last
- 33:48Speaker 1: week it was a Democrats. Starting tonight, the Republican National
- 33:51Speaker 1: Convention kicks off is expected to feature right wing internet

- 33:58Speaker 1: to fly to Charlotte, North Carolina today after voting on
- 34:01Speaker 1: his nomination. His renomination actually begins a theme of the
- 34:04Speaker 1: GOP convention, honoring the great American story. By the way,
- 34:09Speaker 1: Kanye West, speaking of celebrities, who's speaking out. He's been
- 34:12Speaker 1: booted off the ballots in Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Montana.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Earlier this month, his campaign withdrew its attempt rather to
- 34:20Speaker 1: appear in the Jersey ballot because election officials had trouble
- 34:23Speaker 1: with his application there. The black community of Kenosha, Wisconsin,
- 34:27Speaker 1: protesting the shooting of an unarmed black man by a
- 34:29Speaker 1: white cop. They say the victim was shot several times
- 34:32Speaker 1: in the back as he tried to break up a
- 34:34Speaker 1: fight between two women. That man in serious condition in
- 34:37Speaker 1: a local hospital. Democrat led House of Representatives pass to
- 34:40Speaker 1: measure on Saturday design to prevent any other changes are
- 34:43Speaker 1: made by the US Postal Service and provide twenty five
- 34:46Speaker 1: billion dollars in added funding. Postal union leaders as well
- 34:48Speaker 1: as Democrats say the changes appear designed to slow mail
- 34:51Speaker 1: delivery down. Just as we approach a presidential election, more
- 34:55Speaker 1: Americans playing to vote by mail, of course, because of
- 34:57Speaker 1: the coronavirus thing. Senate lead and Mitch McConnell House it
- 35:00Speaker 1: will be passed by the Senate. President Trump has already
- 35:02Speaker 1: promised to veto it. Meanwhile, the Postmaster General Lewis to
- 35:05Speaker 1: Joy called before the Senate Homeland Security Committee. He said,
- 35:08Speaker 1: I anying both the collection boxes and this machine goes down.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I was I was made away when everybody else was
- 35:17Speaker 1: made away, Dismal sorting machines and mailboxes were removed. Again,
- 35:21Speaker 1: he says he didn't know anything about it. By the way,
- 35:23Speaker 1: according to a recent poll, twenty four percent of Americans
- 35:25Speaker 1: asked say their faith has become stronger because of the
- 35:28Speaker 1: pandemics the Lord. That's right now, back to the Steve
- 35:32Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Before
- 35:37Speaker 1: we get to other trending news and inside the mind
- 35:41Speaker 1: of j Anthony Brown, there are rumors that North Korean

- 35:48Speaker 1: his sister is standing by. Kim Yo Jong is ready
- 35:52Speaker 1: to exert absolute power. You know, she plays no games.
- 35:56Speaker 1: We don't know what to believe when it comes to no, no, no, no, no,
- 36:02Speaker 1: no no no. I is not in a coma. I
- 36:08Speaker 1: is a Listen to this to me. Now, I'm gonna

- 36:58Speaker 1: not in the comma. He'sa dead youself, because I'm so
- 37:04Speaker 1: sick tired of people come around talking about, Oh, he's
- 37:09Speaker 1: Oh he's not, he's not real, he's a he's not
- 37:12Speaker 1: he's a in coma. Oh I talk a friend and
- 37:15Speaker 1: a friend of telling me he's in comma. Not a coma,
- 37:22Speaker 1: not a coma. Wrong, it is stay with me, Stay
- 37:29Speaker 1: with me? Wow, thanking that much? Go back to dead
- 37:38Speaker 1: now talking later, by bye. All right, we have about
- 37:42Speaker 1: a minute left. Uh, Steve, we gotta go to inside
- 37:46Speaker 1: the crazy mind. Yeah, the other side of his brain chair.
- 37:50Speaker 1: All right, Look, black lives matter, right, they really matter?
- 37:54Speaker 1: Ye know what it means while we're going through this.
- 37:57Speaker 1: We need really blacking up our blackness. That means just
- 38:00Speaker 1: right here, when we come out of us? Will we
- 38:03Speaker 1: come out of this for real? Nobody black should have
- 38:07Speaker 1: a flip phone. Not one damn person. We should have
- 38:11Speaker 1: a flip phone. Okay, that ain't gonna have him, Jacob,
- 38:14Speaker 1: both my sisters, I know, I know, I know, but
- 38:17Speaker 1: work on it, work on it. Will we come out
- 38:19Speaker 1: of this this one like that one? Then we're moving
- 38:21Speaker 1: right home. You least know how to zoom where you
- 38:23Speaker 1: can get picture and sound. Damn it? All right? Thank you, Jay,
- 38:34Speaker 1: your mind is crazy. Yeah. Coming up at thirty four
- 38:37Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, the RNC season Charlotte this week
- 38:40Speaker 1: and the President's sister says he's a liar. We'll talk
- 38:43Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 38:49Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well today kicks off the Republican convention in Charlotte.
- 38:55Speaker 1: But remember now, the President tried to move the RNC
- 38:58Speaker 1: to Jacksonville, Florida, after beefing with North Carolina's governor over
- 39:02Speaker 1: COVID nineteen safety protocols. But then mister Trump decided to
- 39:06Speaker 1: move the RNC back to Charlotte after COVID nineteen cases
- 39:10Speaker 1: began to spike in Florida. Well, today, three hundred and
- 39:13Speaker 1: thirty six delegates will be in Charlotte for roll call
- 39:16Speaker 1: to formally renominate President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
- 39:21Speaker 1: The President will accept the nomination from the South lawn
- 39:24Speaker 1: of the White House on Thursday. But meanwhile, his sister,
- 39:28Speaker 1: Mary Anne Trump Barry. This is a president's sister was
- 39:32Speaker 1: heard criticizing her brother Donald, calling him a liar with
- 39:36Speaker 1: no principles. This was in a secret recording made by
- 39:39Speaker 1: Trump's niece, Mary j. His niece was the one that
- 39:43Speaker 1: published the book. Yeah, the recordings were published by the
- 39:49Speaker 1: Washington Post. So his family ain't nobody voting for him
- 39:54Speaker 1: and his family, Yes, everybody had headed out with his
- 39:59Speaker 1: sister brother, but not this damn No. Okay, if you're
- 40:04Speaker 1: running for the highest office in the land, you would
- 40:06Speaker 1: expect your family to be by your side, right. Well,
- 40:11Speaker 1: you know this is this I've never seen this in
- 40:16Speaker 1: my life. Man. I don't understand why he even has
- 40:19Speaker 1: supporters at this point. I don't get it. But then
- 40:23Speaker 1: I do get it because the people who support him,
- 40:27Speaker 1: they are very much like him. Yeah, and and and
- 40:32Speaker 1: that's and that's what we have forty million people in
- 40:35Speaker 1: this country who vote who are just like him. And
- 40:39Speaker 1: that's the sad part. And then the other sad part
- 40:42Speaker 1: is there are some really really good Conservatives and some
- 40:45Speaker 1: really really good Republicans, but because of the position that
- 40:51Speaker 1: they have to maintain, they have to vote for him.
- 40:55Speaker 1: That's crazy to me. I'm not I'm not voting for
- 40:59Speaker 1: any more person, man. I'm not voting for a person
- 41:02Speaker 1: that lies. I'm not voting for a person that don't
- 41:05Speaker 1: care about people. I'm not voting for a person that
- 41:08Speaker 1: says sexist or racist remarks. I'm just not voting for you.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I don't care if you're a Democrat, liberal, I don't
- 41:15Speaker 1: care what you are. You're not mine. I'm not voting
- 41:18Speaker 1: for you, period. Yeah. Well, seventy one day, Steve until
- 41:22Speaker 1: the November thirty election. Go right now to get registered
- 41:25Speaker 1: to vote. At vote for one one dot org and
- 41:28Speaker 1: get your dates as to when you can early vote
- 41:31Speaker 1: in your state. That's most important. We want to early vote. Okay,
- 41:35Speaker 1: so you so you can avoid these lines, get take
- 41:39Speaker 1: your ballot to the post office and drop it off,
- 41:43Speaker 1: put your mask on, stand in line at the post office,
- 41:45Speaker 1: which will probably be a shorter line than the polls
- 41:48Speaker 1: because they're condensing poles, y'all. They are in all these
- 41:52Speaker 1: Democratic precincts. They've removed mailboxes and all these Democratic precincts.
- 41:58Speaker 1: They've taken sixteen polling places and reduced it down to
- 42:01Speaker 1: the wings, and they've taken the sorting machines out of
- 42:06Speaker 1: the mail room, and they then took all the mailboxes.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Drop your ballot off at the post office. Post office
- 42:16Speaker 1: still a great company. They do their business and they're
- 42:19Speaker 1: gonna put it in their priority and you and your
- 42:21Speaker 1: vote will count. Vote early and just vote, yeah, because Steve,
- 42:26Speaker 1: you know, black people have a history of not showing
- 42:29Speaker 1: up at the polls and they always count on. This
- 42:31Speaker 1: is not the time, and stop listening to these famous
- 42:35Speaker 1: people talk mol you know, man, what we're gonna do
- 42:38Speaker 1: and what we're gonna get what we got in bite
- 42:42Speaker 1: was a man who had the courage to select the
- 42:48Speaker 1: first African American woman ever to be on the tickets.
- 42:53Speaker 1: So now I ain't nobody else has done that. So
- 42:56Speaker 1: now what has Biden done? He's created a first? Now
- 43:01Speaker 1: is this politics like it's always been. So if you
- 43:05Speaker 1: haven't heard what the black agenda is going to be,
- 43:08Speaker 1: it's because you ain't ever heard what the black agenda
- 43:12Speaker 1: is gonna be. Okay, damn damn, you ain't heard no
- 43:18Speaker 1: white agenda. But they just assume that is going to
- 43:22Speaker 1: happen for them. Well, it's not naturally going to happen
- 43:25Speaker 1: for us. We already understand that. But we don't need
- 43:29Speaker 1: four more years of what has happened, regardless as to
- 43:32Speaker 1: what damn jaheen didn't say? Who is jahined? Okay, coming
- 43:37Speaker 1: up in the building with the brain phone call that's
- 43:42Speaker 1: coming up right after this you're listening show coming up
- 43:48Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 43:50Speaker 1: It's today's strawberry letter. The subject believe half of what
- 43:54Speaker 1: you see and none of what you hear. But right
- 43:57Speaker 1: now the nephew is in the building with today's prank
- 44:00Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for us? Now I got
- 44:02Speaker 1: my aunties bike, Shirley, my aunties bike. Let's go, can't down. Hello, Hello,

- 53:28Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter. All right, thank you for that introduction.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Subject believe half of what you see and none of
- 53:35Speaker 1: what you hear. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am best friends
- 53:40Speaker 1: with the stupidest guy in the world. He's been dating
- 53:43Speaker 1: a woman for one year and he's ready to give
- 53:46Speaker 1: her the keys to the Kingdom. He's a successful realator
- 53:50Speaker 1: and has a nice home and two cars. She has
- 53:53Speaker 1: access to both cars and a key to the house.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Before you think I'm jealous, I am married and this
- 53:59Speaker 1: is my husband's best friend. That's like family to us.
- 54:02Speaker 1: The woman he's dating has dated other high profile men
- 54:06Speaker 1: in town, and she is a child by an x
- 54:08Speaker 1: NBA player, So that's how she's made a living for herself.
- 54:12Speaker 1: As you can imagine, she's bad, she's got the great body,
- 54:16Speaker 1: hair down her back, and she's educated. She's smart enough
- 54:20Speaker 1: to manipulate men to get what she wants. I was
- 54:23Speaker 1: in the mall the other day and I ran into
- 54:24Speaker 1: old girl in a high end shoe boutique. She bought
- 54:27Speaker 1: three pairs of shoes, and she was seated waiting for
- 54:30Speaker 1: her payment to go through. The salesperson handed her the
- 54:33Speaker 1: credit card, saying thank you, missus. Glenn. That's not her
- 54:38Speaker 1: last name. It is the name of one of her
- 54:41Speaker 1: sugar daddies. I acted like I didn't hear it. She
- 54:44Speaker 1: drives our friend's cars to her child's father's house and
- 54:47Speaker 1: stays there for hours, but tells our friend she was
- 54:50Speaker 1: in and out to pick up her son. I've warned
- 54:53Speaker 1: our friend to watch this woman because she's tricky. But
- 54:56Speaker 1: he's head over heels in love and lost any sense
- 54:59Speaker 1: he had. It's to the point where my husband is
- 55:01Speaker 1: said to leave it alone, and I want to, but
- 55:04Speaker 1: I hate to see a good man being used. The
- 55:07Speaker 1: woman has told me in the past to mind my
- 55:09Speaker 1: business and to believe half of what I see and
- 55:12Speaker 1: none of what I hear. So now I just try
- 55:15Speaker 1: to keep the peace by keeping my mouth shut. Is
- 55:18Speaker 1: there anything else we can do? No, there is not.
- 55:21Speaker 1: There is not. You already know what we're gonna say,
- 55:23Speaker 1: don't you because you already know the answer to your question.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Your husband told it, told you, he said it best
- 55:30Speaker 1: leave it alone. Then the woman herself told you to
- 55:34Speaker 1: mind your business. She also says believe half of what
- 55:37Speaker 1: you see and none of what you hear, which means
- 55:39Speaker 1: you don't know what's going on in their lives. Girl,
- 55:42Speaker 1: you only think you know, okay, And you say you're
- 55:46Speaker 1: not jealous. You said that, you were quick to say
- 55:48Speaker 1: that I'm not jealous. I'm married. This is my husband's
- 55:51Speaker 1: best friend. But sometimes you know, you can think you're
- 55:55Speaker 1: not jealous. But all this sounds like jealousy or envy.
- 55:59Speaker 1: You know, all of it. You say you're looking out
- 56:01Speaker 1: for your best friend, but that's not your job. That
- 56:04Speaker 1: is not your job, that is not your place. These
- 56:06Speaker 1: are grown people. And it just always amazes me how
- 56:10Speaker 1: people can be so wrapped up in other people's affairs.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Get you some business. What's going on in your life?
- 56:17Speaker 1: I just say, stay out of their business. You're in
- 56:19Speaker 1: way too deep. This is messy. You're counting shoes, the
- 56:22Speaker 1: number of shoes she buys at a high end store,
- 56:25Speaker 1: who her baby daddy is, how long the car is there?
- 56:27Speaker 1: That's too much, all right, you're just nosy and just
- 56:31Speaker 1: being messy. These people are grown Leave them alone, Steve,
- 56:36Speaker 1: all right, believe half of what you see and none
- 56:39Speaker 1: of what you hear. The name of this letter is
- 56:44Speaker 1: this ain't none of your business. That's what this is.
- 56:50Speaker 1: This ain't none of your business? All through the letter,
- 56:54Speaker 1: That's all I got to say to you. I don't
- 56:56Speaker 1: even know where I am. Best friends with the stupidest
- 56:59Speaker 1: guy in the world. He's been dating a woman for
- 57:02Speaker 1: one year and he's ready to give her the keys
- 57:05Speaker 1: to the key. And don't you have keys to your
- 57:09Speaker 1: husband's kingdom? And didn't you have it before you married him? Okay,
- 57:14Speaker 1: he's a successful realtor. He's got a nice home and
- 57:18Speaker 1: two cars. She has access to both cars and a
- 57:22Speaker 1: key to the house. Ain't none of your business. That
- 57:29Speaker 1: ain't none of your business. Before you think I'm jealous,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I'm married and this is my husband's best friend. That's
- 57:36Speaker 1: like family to us. It's your husband's best friend. Now
- 57:40Speaker 1: make up your mind. High is here your husband's best
- 57:44Speaker 1: friend and your best friend. You're making stuff up. He
- 57:47Speaker 1: liked family to us. Okay, the woman he's dating has
- 57:51Speaker 1: dated other high profile men in town, and she has
- 57:54Speaker 1: a child by xb NBA player, So that's how she's
- 57:57Speaker 1: made a living for yourself. Once again, that also ain't
- 58:02Speaker 1: none of your damn business. As you can imagine, she's bad,
- 58:08Speaker 1: yes I can't. She got a great body, yes, yes,
- 58:16Speaker 1: see she's bad. She got a great body half down
- 58:21Speaker 1: her back, and she educated. That's how you get a
- 58:24Speaker 1: key to the kingdods. She bad. She got a great body,
- 58:31Speaker 1: she got heat out of her back, and she educated.
- 58:35Speaker 1: The keys to the kingdom, both keys calls to real estate.
- 58:40Speaker 1: What's what's wrong with you? She's smart enough to manipulate
- 58:44Speaker 1: men to get what she wants. That's what bad chicks do.
- 58:47Speaker 1: That's what ugly women do. That's what blow chicks do.
- 58:50Speaker 1: That's what skinny women do, That's what big women do.
- 58:53Speaker 1: You manipulate men to get what you want. That's what
- 58:57Speaker 1: we're here for. This ain't none of your damn business threats.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I was in them all. Another day, I ran a
- 59:05Speaker 1: tall girl in a high end shoe boutique. She bought
- 59:07Speaker 1: three pass shoes. She was seated waiting for a payment
- 59:10Speaker 1: to go through the salesman head of her card and said, thanks,
- 59:12Speaker 1: miss Glenn. That is not her last name. But that
- 59:16Speaker 1: ain't yo damn business not If the salesman ain't have
- 59:22Speaker 1: a problem with it, What is your ass halving the
- 59:25Speaker 1: problem with? Hold on, Steve, hold on, we'll have part
- 59:28Speaker 1: two of you coming up in twenty three minutes after
- 59:32Speaker 1: the hour subject Believe half of what you see and
- 59:35Speaker 1: none of what you hear. We'll get back into it
- 59:37Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Stry Morning Show. All right,
- 59:42Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. Believe half
- 59:45Speaker 1: of what you see and none of what you hear.
- 59:48Speaker 1: We got a letter from his nose ass woman. Yes,
- 59:51Speaker 1: Dad just took on the problem that ain't even hers.
- 59:54Speaker 1: She best friends with the stupidest guy in the world.
- 59:58Speaker 1: He's been dating a woman for one year and he
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: he's already giving her the kings to the kingdom. Well,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: how long do you think it take to get the keys?
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: They've been dating a year, they sleeping together. You're gonna
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: get some keys to the kingdom. He's successful. Reality to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Night's home, two cars, she got assets, boats, cars and
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: keyga house. Now, before you think I'm jealous, I'm married
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and this is my husband's best friend. He liked family
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: to other So, soul, soul, why you are jealous? You
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: all through the left Before you think I'm what you
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: write just letter for if you wasn't worried about it,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: if it wasn't a concern of yours, if it wasn't
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: really bothering you, if you wasn't mad at this? Here
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: for what you write the letter for. Right, the woman
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: she's been dating other high profile me and in time
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: she got a child by xc NBA player. So that's
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: how she has made a living for herself. So, but
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: she's educated too, I'm sure hold up head is as
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: you can imagine, she's bad. Yes, that's what this is all. Yeah,

- 1:01:19Speaker 1: ain't Joe husband giving out keys, all right, because you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: just said she bad, head down the back, educated, great body.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Now she's smart enough to malipulate me and to get
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: what she wants. Women do that, that's the game. I
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: was in the mall the other day. I ran into
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: old girl in a high end shoe boot high end
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: shoe booteth Okay, so you're Christian Lubert. She brought three

- 1:01:58Speaker 1: her last name. That ain't your damn fish. It is
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: the name of one of her sugar daddis. How you know?
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: But how do you know? It's a sugar daddy. I
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: acted like I didn't hear you didn't act real good though,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: because it's in the damn letter, so obviously you didn't
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: act real good. She drives our friends, calls to her
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: child's father's house and stays there for hours, but tells
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: our friends she was in and out to pick up
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: her son. This ain't your business. And how do you know?
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: What is you following this woman from real car? What
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: did you do? What is you? What kind of detective

- 1:02:45Speaker 1: woman because she's tricky. This ain't a trick. He's sleeping
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: with her. She got a bad body, had down to
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: her back. She's bad, she educated. This ain't a trick.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: This is who he want to be with. It's gotten
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to the point where your husband has said to leave
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: it alone because your husband, no, see, he'll hit apart.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: You don't know, see say you want to know so much?
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: That ain't your business. Let me get you some more business.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: This probably ain't the only chick kick out, mkay see.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: And that's why your husband told you just leave it alone,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: because you don't know what he's doing. Yeah, you don't
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: know how the game going on? Yeah you know, but

- 1:03:43Speaker 1: trying to tell me that I ought to not let
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: you just walk on me, and I'm sure he meant
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: where Yeah, but when I talk was through. I am
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: not saying. Brother. If your own and you you do
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: wish that you were writing my shoes, You just keep
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: on using me until you use me. Hub. They wrote
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: a song about this. It's a lot of me and
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: know that they're getting used. Yeah, but if it feels
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: so good to me, didn't use it. She's arm candy,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: all that dog. You don't know what you're doing. Your
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: husband told you leave it alone. You know, White said
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: leave it alone because it ain't your damn business. What
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: it's wrong with you? Now, you'd have wrote all on there.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I hate to see a good man being used. Men
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: don't mind getting used when they using. Do you know
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: what this woman in here doing to him? What? What Steve?
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I want to know? Girl, that bad body with that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: hair down her back? He tied her up in her hair.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: He liked high heel shoes. See you tripping, Listen to me.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I got news for you. That's how you got your husband. Yeah,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: did you forget? And this might be her husband. Now
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: the woman has told me in the past to mind
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: my business. She's absolutely correct. I'm telling you to mind
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: your business. She told her to leave half of what
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I see and none of what I hear. So now
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I just try to keep the peace by keep my
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: mouth shut. Shut up, shut shit, damn mouth. All right,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: thank you? Ain't you old business? Where about your husband?
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Quit following this girl around? Post your comments on Today's
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter and Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: and coming up at forty six minutes after the hour,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: we're gonna talk sports with Junior right after this. You're listening,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: all right, It's that time, ladies and gentlemen. It is
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: time for Junior and sports talk. Come on, Junior. Yes,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: it's a little different today. Oh what you got. Yesterday
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: would have been Kobe Bryant's forty second birthday, and tonight
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you know he missed Kobe Man and tonight his former team,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: the Los Angeles Lakers, will wear special Kobe Bryant tribute
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: jerseys with the patch to under his daughter Gg. The
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: black Mamba looked uniforms have been a black snakeskin print
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: with sixteen stars on the side to represent the Lakers
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: sixteen championships. So these uniforms were actually inspired and co
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: designed by Kobe Bryant before he passed. So, man, we're
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: gonna really miss him. Man, We're really gonna brother was
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: just one of the best talented two guards with a
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: mentality that he just it was just nothing he could
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: do on basketball court. Man. You know, man, just gonna
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: miss him, though. Man, I think that's great that the Lake,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: because they're gonna do that fhon tonight. It's nice, very nice. Yeah,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: you know, but you know, over the playoffs continue to
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: night though. You know, the Lakers Portland they played a
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: night Milwaukee in Orlando, and of course Houston and okay,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: see we need to really really get this. Yeah, Chris
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Paul the night he did, man, yeah, was it double
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: open town it double yeah? Yeah? Yeah, steal out man, Oh,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I'm sure guy. And for the first time last James
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Harden filed out the overtime and that was it he did.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: They didn't have nobody to getting no offense. They were
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: just standing around. But you know, Houston problem, you y'all
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: shoot too many three three that we ain't got the especially.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Harden dribbled the ball down. He just dribbed out clock
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: down to two seconds, didn't he just shoot? Hold on?
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Holdin't Harden his phone? You know, I'm just no, they
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: all y'all shoot. Oh yeah, everybody on the y'all be
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: so glad to get the ball when hard and they
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: ain't got it. That's what it is. Lord. If I
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: don't shoot now, my mama ain't on. My mama ain't
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: gonna see me. And I got to get a shot up.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Shoot your shot. Yeah. I love how you guys are
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: talking sports. Jay as quiet as a church mouth. So
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: don't I don't say something. I was to have something
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: to say. Really, if you would like to get those
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant honorable jerseys, they'll be on Crunchshaw tomorrow. Okay,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: they will be on Crenshaws. Okay, I know that they
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: will be down on sports. Yeah. Well, Jack, damn man,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Thank you, Jay, thank you for killing it. All right,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: thank you Junior. All right, guys, it's coming up at
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: the top of the hour more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Morning Show. There's been another police shooting of a black man.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: We'll talk about it, this time in Wisconsin. Right after this,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: you're listening to Day Morning show. Well, a white police
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I can't believe we're doing another
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: story like this. I can't believe it. In Kenosha, Wisconsin,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: a white police officer opened fire on an unarmed black
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: man who was simply walking away from him, shooting him
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: point blank seven times, and it's all on video. The
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: officer involved shooting went down Sunday near fortieth and twenty
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: eighth Avenue in Kenosha, where witnesses say the victim was
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: simply breaking up a fight when cops were called to
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: the scene. It's unclear what unfolded from there, but this
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: video captures the crucial twenty seconds. You see the man
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: walking away from a few officers who appear to be
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: telling him to stop with guns drawn. He makes makes
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: his way around a car in a non threatening manner.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: He opens the door and attempts to get inside. One
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: of the cops grabs hold of his shirt, and for
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: some inexplicable reason, he unloads seven rounds at arms length. Look,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: I saw the video. I saw the video, and of course,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: you know, got gotta wait for them to do the
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: investigation and come up with a story. On the video,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: the man is, he's on one side of the car
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: on a tree line, comes around all the way around
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: by the front. They're ordering him to stop. All he
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: does is keep walking. They shoot this man in his
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: back when he opens the car door. Why these policemen
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: couldn't grab him, try to subdue him. How about stop
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: and shoot him in the leg. He didn't have a weapon,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: he wasn't doing anything life threatening to the police officers.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: It's playing on the video, man, and you know what, man,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: it's just getting to the point where, you know what,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna stop saying. It's a few bad officers that's
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: making it bad for the rest of the good officers.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: It's a lot of bad officers out here. It's a
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: lot of them because it's happening to frequently. It's not
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: a few, It's not a few. It's a lot of
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: bad officers out here because it just keeps happening. Yeah, Now,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: according to the video on Me and Jay watching, Jay said,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: what they gonna do was they felt threatened that he
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: was opening the door to possibly get a weapon. If
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: they're gonna say that, but you could have shot him
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: in his leg, or you could have shot him one time.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: You shot this man seven times now by some miracle.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: The report said he was taken to the hospital fighting
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: for himself. So his name is Jacob Blake. That's his name,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: and multiple reports um on social media and a couple
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: of news outlets are saying that that is his name,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Jacob Blake, and he has a bother, a very young man, Steve.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: He is twenty nine years old. Twenty nine wow. Wow.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: It's like they don't care. They don't they don't care
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: about the cold blood see in our backs. Listen to me.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: To shoot a man in the back unarmed, that has
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: no weapon, it doesn't make any sense. If you're that
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: close to grab his shirt, why didn't you grab him?
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: It's for y'all. It's three or four cops there. There's
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: no one dude, can any three of me and my friends.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: We ain't even trained and we sixty. If me Blue
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: and Biggie Wig is there, you're not gonna whoop us.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: I just it's just so sickening, you know. It's like
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: we've run out of words. It's it's it's the way
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: they do business when it comes to black people. It's
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: not about uh, it's the way they do business with
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: black people. Stop killing black people unarmed in the back,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: who is not threatening to you. Aubrey was killed by
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: some men vigilantes. Uh, George Floyd was killed. Brianna Taylor
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: was killed. This man is killed. Well, we don't know
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: if he's dead yet or not, but this shooting was
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: was unnecessary. If you're close enough to grab him by
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: the t shirt, grab him. What happened to tackling? What
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: happened to shoot him in the leg. If you wanted
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: to stop, shoot him in the leg, we can deal
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: with that better. They were mad because he didn't obey
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: their orders. That's right, That's what Jay was saying. That's
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: all right, all right, We'll be back with more of
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So, Carla, you
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: are a resident go to person when it comes to hurricanes.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: You survived Katrina. You do a lot about hurricanes. Yeah,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: you kept you're keeping an eye. You've been keeping an
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: eye on both storms in the Gulf. That's Hurricane Marco
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: and Laura, what can you tell us? This is just
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: something that I think we've never seen before. Two hurricanes
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: coming towards the Gulf Coast back to back like this,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: It is scary. It is very, very scary because there's
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: no usually with hurricanes, you know, like I said, it's
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: not a surprise. You know they're coming. They let you
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: know that they're coming. But usually the hurricane comes and
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: then you try to rebuild and recover. Can you imagine
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: now you got a hurricane come and then you got
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: one right behind them. Yeah, that sounds really really dangerous.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: It's very dangerously and people have to really really pay
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: attention to the evacuation. And I think you know a
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: little people hurricanes. Listen to me. You can't protect your
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: home from a hurricane. There's nothing you can do about
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: wind and water. You can't stop water. So if they
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: ask you to evacuate your area, please listen and evacuate
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: and stay away. Look, you can get some another house,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: you can get another cause some old furniture. You cannot
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: get another child, you can't get another parent. You cannot
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: get your life back. So we're praying for all of
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: our neighbors and friends on the Gulf Coast area. Steve said,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: listen to the authorities. Please all right, Thank you Carlo
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: for the update. We'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Morning Show and some trending news coming up at thirty
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: to show. Well, today kicks off the Republican Convention in Charlotte.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: But remember now, the President tried to move the RNC
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: to Jacksonville, Florida, after beefing with North Carolina's governor over
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: COVID nineteen safety protocols. But then mister Trump decided to
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: move the RNC back to Charlotte after COVID nineteen cases
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: began to spike in Florida. Well, today, three hundred and
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: thirty six delegates will be in Charlotte for roll call
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: to formally renominate President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: The President will accept the nomination from the South lawn
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: of the White House on Thursday. But meanwhile, his sister,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Mary Anne Trump Barry this is a President's sister was
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: heard criticizing her brother Donald, calling him a liar with
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: no principles. This was in a secret recording made by
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Trump's niece, Mary j. This is his niece was the
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: one that published the book. Yeah. The recordings were published
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: by the Washington Post. So ain't nobody voting for him
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: and his family? Yes, everybody headed out with his sister brother,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: but not this damn long. Okay, you're running for the
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: highest office in the land. You would expect your family
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: to be by your side. Right. Well, you know, I've
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: never seen this in my life. Man, I don't understand
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: why he even has supporters at this point. I don't
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: get it. But then I do get it because the
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: people who support him, they are very much like him. Yeah,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: and that's and that's what we have. Forty million people
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: in this country who vote who are just like him.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: And that's the sad part. And then the other sad
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: part is there are some really really good Conservatives and
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: some really really good Republicans, but because of the position
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: that they have to maintain, they have to vote for him.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: I'm not voting for an immoral person, man, I'm not
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: voting for a person that lies. I'm not voting for
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: a person that don't care about people. I'm not voting
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: for a person that says sexist or racist remarks. I'm
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: just not voting for you. Yeah. Well, seventy one day,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Steve until the November thirty election. Go right, now to
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: get registered to vote at vote for one one dot
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: org and get your dates as to when you can
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: early vote in your state. That's most important. We want
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: to early vote. Okay, so you so you can avoid
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: these lines, get take take your ballot to the post
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: office and drop it off. Put your mask on standing
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: line at the post office, which will probably be a
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: shorter line than the polls because said condensing Poles, y'all,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: they are in all these democratic precincts. They've removed mailboxes
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: and all these democratic precincts. They've taken sixteen poling places
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: and reduced it down to the wings. Coming up, it's
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: our last break of the day. Hey, y'all got a
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: brand new TV show come on September second. It's stunning
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: me and some other people assistant lived assisted living ha
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: ha ha. Also coming up Steve's closing remarks at forty
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour. Right after this. You're listening,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: all right, So Steve, this is our last break of
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: the day this Monday. Um. The Republican National Convention of
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: course starts this week. Yeah, I mean congratulations, yeah, delicate, Yeah,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: some delicates are going to actually be there at the convention.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: He needs that he has to. It doesn't matter. It
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: doesn't matter. They're sick of COVID. They've given up on COVID.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: They out they don't wear masks. The President don't wear masks.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: He won't be on stage with a mask on at
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: any point. He's that guy. So whatever. But look, I
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: don't mind if they're having a convention. I'm really gonna
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: watch it to see what they do. Because whatever the
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Republicans are, second, they are experts at countering what the
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Democrats do. So here's my closing remark for you, be
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: ready for them to take every high moment that the
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Democrats had find a way to slandering. Also, be prepared
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: for the lies. This week, he came out and said
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: the Democrats took the word God out of the pledge
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: allegiance on purpose. He said this, and then they repeatedly
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: played where they said it. See, they did this whole
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: montage of people saying stuff, and then after three or
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: four people said it, then they said under God, and
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: then they said such and such such and then three
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: people and then they said under God. He's claiming that
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: they took it out of the edge allegiance. That's not true,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: But isn't that the way he operates. Doesn't he just
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: flat out just lie to you over and over and
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: over again. Now, okay, let's get off of that for
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: a second. Let's talk about us who want to sound
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: so heavy and deep, especially when it comes to people
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: who are supposed to be well known. We're taking up
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: a lot of time right now to ask what is
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: the black agenda. We're taking up a lot of time
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: from certain black celebrities talking about they're gonna support Donald Trump. Okay,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: listen to me. See, as a black celebrity, you can
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: support Donald Trump if you're just thinking about yourself, because see,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: if you got money, you can survive just about anything
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: for a little while, and you can most certainly survive
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: a little bit longer than the working class man. But
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: see what I hate when celebrities forget it's who helped
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: them get to where they are. See if it wasn't
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: for the common man who bought your albums to get
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: you famous in the first place, before you is this
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: crossover artist. Black people loved you and screamed your name.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: Black people made you cool, and black people made you famous.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Black people buy our tickets, black people watch our shows,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: Black people have Nilsen boxes. Black people rate us, black
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: people buy our music off Apple. Black people are the
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: reason the majority of us are even famous in the
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: first place, because we practice getting famous with our own
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: people first. Then when the crossover comes and we become
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: universal or global or whatever you want to call it,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: you cannot forget who got you where you are. You
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: just can't do that. So when you make these stayments
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: as a famous person, I want you to start thinking
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: about not where you are now, but whether people are
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: who helped make us who we are, who buy tickets,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: who buy albums. See, we gotta remember those people before
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: we start tearing down what's going on. So now let
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: me take here to this point right here. What has
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Joe Biden done for us? Well, okay, hold him? What
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: has Donald Trump done for us? This is what kills
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: me when I hear us talk about Donald Trump did
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: sulf for us. If it wasn't for him, we to
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: be done by now done. How See, let me give
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Joe Biden credit for something. Joe Biden had the courage,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: for the first time in the history of our nation
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: to pick an African American woman and put her on
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: the ticket to run for vice president. Of the United
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: States of America and body else done that. So now
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: while we're trying to figure out what's in it for us,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: how about that right there. How about the fact that
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: you can point to your little daughters and you can say, listen,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: this can happen to you too, just like we were
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: able to look at our children and go, that's Barack Obama,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: that's Michelle Obama. That's a black family that's doing well.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: That's a family that looks like us, that's in the
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: White House. That's a family that's a success. That's a
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: family that loves each other. We need those examples. Listen.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: We got enough being said about us that ain't true.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I did something on my Facebook. Sure about these black
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: dudes that then got together and call theirselfs to dad
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: game and they pushed their strollers with their kids in it.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Because a man was walking in Long Island, New York,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: and a white lady stopping him and said, wow, this
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: is your baby, and he said yeah. She said wow,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: it's really nice that you stuck around. Because you know
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: why she said that, because she thinks through the media
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: and all that said about black fathers is that we
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: don't stick around. She told this black man. Wow, it's
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: really nice that you stuck around. He immediately called a
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: bunch of his friends and they formed this group called
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the Dad Game. So if Kamala Harris is running for
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: vice president, do you understand what that does for us?
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: It allows us to say we can, we did, we have,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: we are. It does something for HBCUs. It does such
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: as for black Greek organizations. It does something for women
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: in general, it does stuff for people of color. That's
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: what Joe Biden did. Ain't nobody else done that. We
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: ain't got time for this mess. Man, Go and vote.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: Go to vote for one one dot org and find
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: out how to register and how to vote early. And
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: we're gonna get this thing done. Man. For all. Steve
