- 0:20Speaker 1: true good together for st Please, I don't join jo

- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn, you got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out. Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your fad uh huh, I sure will
- 2:02Speaker 1: I good marning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come
- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me now, one it all. It's Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: man oh Man got a radio show, yo. Trying to
- 2:13Speaker 1: make it work too. I'm not trying. I'm I'm getting it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'm getting it done to the best of my abilities. Now.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Something funny my father taught me. He said, son, when
- 2:26Speaker 1: you've done all you can do, if you've done your
- 2:29Speaker 1: absolute best and you look up and it didn't get
- 2:34Speaker 1: the job done, take a deep breath and do some more.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That used to bug me, man, when my father used
- 2:44Speaker 1: to tell me, that's the son, when you've done your
- 2:46Speaker 1: absolute best and you think you can't do no more.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You've done all you can and it still don't get
- 2:54Speaker 1: the job done, take yourself a deep breath and do
- 3:00Speaker 1: some more. And you know what I found that has
- 3:04Speaker 1: worked every single time, every single time, because what my
- 3:11Speaker 1: father knew was that what you think is your breaking point,
- 3:17Speaker 1: or what you think is your all in all, he says, son,
- 3:21Speaker 1: it's just something about it. Man, If you just gather yourself,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you got a little bit more. Everybody got some more.
- 3:32Speaker 1: And you know, I gotta be honest with you. It
- 3:36Speaker 1: has worked. It has helped me greatly. And you know
- 3:41Speaker 1: everybody does have some more. You know. I tell that
- 3:44Speaker 1: to my sons all the time. The idea my best, well,
- 3:47Speaker 1: the manage to something else. Could you have done anything else?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Could you have studied a little harder, Could you have
- 3:53Speaker 1: shown up a little bit earlier, could you stayed a
- 3:56Speaker 1: little bit later? Yeah, well then okay that's what you
- 4:01Speaker 1: should have done. Then See that's always a way. But
- 4:04Speaker 1: if you're going to create excuses, if you're gonna make
- 4:09Speaker 1: them up all the time about why you don't get
- 4:11Speaker 1: it done, I have a very very sad statement for
- 4:17Speaker 1: you right now. You're never gonna get anything done. You're
- 4:20Speaker 1: never gonna get to the top. Not to the top.
- 4:23Speaker 1: You can get halfway up now, you can get a
- 4:26Speaker 1: third of the way up, you can get three quarters
- 4:28Speaker 1: of the way up. But if you don't have that
- 4:31Speaker 1: little extra reserve in you, you're not getting to the top.
- 4:35Speaker 1: The top is only reserved for those that have the
- 4:39Speaker 1: wherewithal and the power to desire, the drive and the
- 4:46Speaker 1: gut wrenching effort to get to the top. The top
- 4:50Speaker 1: is reserved only for the top. It's just the top.
- 4:53Speaker 1: There ain't but one top, then the middle. Done it,
- 4:55Speaker 1: ain't it? You know? The top, the top of the mountain,
- 4:59Speaker 1: ha where it's a different view. At the top, things
- 5:02Speaker 1: look different from up top. So if you want to
- 5:05Speaker 1: get to the top of whatever your profession, your field,
- 5:11Speaker 1: your career, whatever it is, you got to do extra.
- 5:16Speaker 1: You have to do more. More is expected of you. More.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But here's what's really crazy. More is required of you.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Don't live your life in the lackadaisical state. Don't wake
- 5:30Speaker 1: up every day with the feeling of, well, you know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: whatever happens happens, nah, man, have us say so in
- 5:37Speaker 1: your life. You. First of all, let me ask you something.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Who has God named the person that God has given
- 5:47Speaker 1: authority over You named the person? But who is the person?
- 5:52Speaker 1: Nobody has domain over you. God didn't create that person.
- 5:56Speaker 1: So what you're sitting here for? Man, what are you
- 5:59Speaker 1: sitting here for? Letting people who do not know direct
- 6:04Speaker 1: your path? Why are you worried about all these people
- 6:08Speaker 1: with what they got to say about you and all
- 6:10Speaker 1: these people with what they got to think about you?
- 6:13Speaker 1: When here's the news flash, they don't know either. All
- 6:18Speaker 1: these people that you overly concerned about, all these people
- 6:23Speaker 1: that you go into these answers for, they need answers
- 6:26Speaker 1: to stop. What are you doing here? Gather yourself for
- 6:32Speaker 1: a minute. Here is a solution to all of that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You have one source that will be there for you
- 6:40Speaker 1: till the end of time, and that is your relationship
- 6:44Speaker 1: with God. That is the one thing that's solid and
- 6:47Speaker 1: for show. He's behind the wall. He's in your jail cell.
- 6:52Speaker 1: He rides with you in the police car. He's with
- 6:54Speaker 1: you on your job up at to school. He's down
- 6:57Speaker 1: there in the board meetings with you, with you when
- 7:00Speaker 1: you travel on planes. He sits with you when you're
- 7:03Speaker 1: in a relationship. He helps you with your parenting skills.
- 7:07Speaker 1: He helps you. He's there to assist you. He shows
- 7:10Speaker 1: if you do the right things, he show you and
- 7:12Speaker 1: guide you to your next job. When you lose your
- 7:15Speaker 1: job and you think it's a rap ah, there's some
- 7:18Speaker 1: good behind him. Man, God is always working on your behalf.
- 7:22Speaker 1: To those that believe you, just gotta believe. He won't
- 7:24Speaker 1: ask you for nothing else. Believe in me. That's all
- 7:28Speaker 1: he asks you to do. What you're tripping for. Man,
- 7:30Speaker 1: And then when you make the decision to believe in him,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and it comes out your mouth from time to time
- 7:37Speaker 1: somewhere what you're worried about, what people say, What you're
- 7:40Speaker 1: worried about, what they think for? Why who are they?
- 7:42Speaker 1: They need God to you? You're telling them you found
- 7:46Speaker 1: something new that you're gonna give this a shot right here. Now.
- 7:49Speaker 1: They got some yang ying yang and some yakety yact
- 7:52Speaker 1: to say about that when they need God too. That's
- 7:55Speaker 1: what amazes me, man about people sit up in here, man,
- 7:58Speaker 1: be knocking your dream as to look. If you're an atheist, man,
- 8:01Speaker 1: do your thing, do your thing. But you can't create
- 8:04Speaker 1: no laws? Why I can't do mine? That don't make
- 8:07Speaker 1: no sense, Man, that makes no sense at all to me.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You have the right to go be whatever you want
- 8:14Speaker 1: to be. You know, if you don't, you don't like
- 8:17Speaker 1: the fact that I'm in school. You got my head
- 8:19Speaker 1: biled down and I'm saying a prayer for I take
- 8:21Speaker 1: this test. Just don't buy your head. Don't you pray?
- 8:25Speaker 1: But if some kids want to get to God, that's
- 8:27Speaker 1: some crazy mass. That's what happened in our schools. We
- 8:29Speaker 1: took prayer out of schools. And now look at our schools.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You send your child to school and and someone else
- 8:36Speaker 1: comes back home. That's a whole other thing right here.
- 8:40Speaker 1: That's not what I want to talk to you about.
- 8:43Speaker 1: But I was just throwing it out because you know, hey, man,
- 8:46Speaker 1: your relationship with God is essential to your success as
- 8:49Speaker 1: a person. It's essential to your existence. It's essential to
- 8:52Speaker 1: where you're trying to go and what you're trying to be.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Because He made you. Why would you not talk to
- 8:59Speaker 1: the person that made you to find out what he
- 9:01Speaker 1: created you for. I ain't talking about your parents, who
- 9:06Speaker 1: made your parents. This is God, we created in his image.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Why would you not talk to your maker to see
- 9:13Speaker 1: why you got made? That? Don't that don't make sense
- 9:17Speaker 1: to you? If you're sitting and gotten yourself in a situation,
- 9:21Speaker 1: you're sitting in the jail cell somewhere you locked up.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You're doing some time, man, be a good time for
- 9:27Speaker 1: you to reflect. But whatever your situation is, Man, God
- 9:31Speaker 1: can get you through it. He can give you the strength,
- 9:33Speaker 1: the courage to wherewithal the understanding everything you need, the
- 9:38Speaker 1: wisdom to get you through anything you're going through. You
- 9:41Speaker 1: just got a touch base with him. I need God
- 9:45Speaker 1: every single day of my life. And what he's done
- 9:50Speaker 1: for me man off the chain. But guess what he'll
- 9:55Speaker 1: do the same thing for you. You're listening to, ladies

- 15:34Speaker 1: who are paying you to serve and protect and you
- 15:37Speaker 1: go and seek and destroy. You could not be a
- 15:40Speaker 1: terrorist and a police. Sorry, that's right. Soon, Absolutely we are. Absolutely.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Let's go Shirley. When you say how stupid, you just
- 15:49Speaker 1: look at the take that's all you gonna do. How stupid?
- 15:52Speaker 1: Look at the team, how stupid? All right, here we
- 15:56Speaker 1: go for ask the clo. This one is from Fulio
- 15:59Speaker 1: and De Soto, Texas. Julio says, I'm a forty seven
- 16:02Speaker 1: year old man and I've never been married, and I
- 16:04Speaker 1: don't have any children. My brother's got married in twenty
- 16:07Speaker 1: eighteen and a double ceremony. I have a domestic partnership
- 16:11Speaker 1: with a lady that I've been with for six years.
- 16:14Speaker 1: She's never pressured me about a wedding, but she's told
- 16:17Speaker 1: my mother she'd love to marry me. Should I stay
- 16:19Speaker 1: quiet until she brings it up? Or should I reaffirm
- 16:22Speaker 1: to her that I don't want to get married. I
- 16:25Speaker 1: hate to be wasting her time? Ay man, why don't
- 16:28Speaker 1: you tell her that? Dead? Yeah? Why don't you tell it?
- 16:30Speaker 1: You don't want to be married, and you would just
- 16:32Speaker 1: what he called it, domestic partnership partnership. Yeah, but she
- 16:36Speaker 1: wants to be married, but you want a domestic partnership.
- 16:39Speaker 1: That's why you ain't never been married and ain't got
- 16:41Speaker 1: I don't feel I'll tell her. I'll tell her for
- 16:44Speaker 1: your ans. I'll tell her, bitter man, I will tell
- 16:50Speaker 1: her take the weight off you. But you should have
- 16:53Speaker 1: told her that six years ago too. Yeah, you are
- 16:56Speaker 1: wasting her time, you know, for six years, and she
- 16:59Speaker 1: didn't told you she want to get married. I'm pretty
- 17:01Speaker 1: sure she didn't said that to you. I'm a matter
- 17:04Speaker 1: of fact, Julio. I can't imagine she would go to
- 17:06Speaker 1: your mama with it and ain't saying it to you.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing for you, Julio. You ain't got
- 17:11Speaker 1: no kids and what you want at forty seven. He's
- 17:15Speaker 1: forty seven, Steve, he should know something. No man By Felicia.
- 17:27Speaker 1: This one's from Felicia in New Orleans. She says, I'm
- 17:29Speaker 1: a new lued and my husband and I moved to
- 17:31Speaker 1: his hometown recently, where he has three female friends that
- 17:35Speaker 1: he's known since childhood. I get along with them, but
- 17:37Speaker 1: I need him to set some boundaries with them. One
- 17:40Speaker 1: of them is a chef, and she insists that he
- 17:42Speaker 1: comes over at least once a week to pick up
- 17:44Speaker 1: a plate. He loves to rave about how good her
- 17:47Speaker 1: food is. My husband will meet up with the women
- 17:50Speaker 1: for drinks, and I find out about it after the fact.
- 17:53Speaker 1: He says they're like sisters and I have nothing to
- 17:55Speaker 1: worry about. He doesn't get it. So should I talk
- 17:58Speaker 1: to these ladies direct? No? No, no, See, you didn't
- 18:03Speaker 1: marry the ladies. You married your husband. You and your
- 18:07Speaker 1: husband took the vials to leave all others and cleave
- 18:10Speaker 1: only unto you. That was his vials. Now, before you
- 18:14Speaker 1: got married, did he tell you, yeah, these girlfriends, he
- 18:16Speaker 1: wasn't gonna cut them loose and you married him anyway?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Or did you discover the three girlfriends. When you moved
- 18:21Speaker 1: back to his hometown, coming over to the house cooking,
- 18:26Speaker 1: I can't no where in hell I can go in
- 18:28Speaker 1: there and tell Marjorie, I'm going over this girl's house
- 18:31Speaker 1: for dinner. We're friends, man, Man, you know that's the
- 18:43Speaker 1: next thing. Friend is Man Shirley been friends for twenty years.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I ain't ever been over to her house, and Lord
- 18:52Speaker 1: knows I wouldn't go over there to eat good because
- 18:57Speaker 1: I wouldn't be cooking. All right, here we go, which
- 19:01Speaker 1: would be even crazy if I said tomorrow, I'm going
- 19:03Speaker 1: to Sherley house. I thought you said cook something was up?
- 19:08Speaker 1: All right? All right, here we go. Rilero and Queens.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I like that name. Rilero. I moved back to New
- 19:17Speaker 1: York after living in Miami for for a few years.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I bought a small condo, and now that I'm all
- 19:22Speaker 1: settled in, I'm miserable because I have a white neighbor
- 19:25Speaker 1: that is rude and racist. When he first saw me
- 19:28Speaker 1: in the building, he asked me if I was visiting someone,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and I told him I lived there. His response was,
- 19:34Speaker 1: how is that possible? I ignored him. He doesn't speak
- 19:38Speaker 1: in passing and didn't hold a door for me one day.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I'm twenty six years old and I've never encountered racism
- 19:45Speaker 1: like this. How should I handle this guy? You've never
- 19:48Speaker 1: encountered racism, Well, Laro, welcome to America. Yeah, it's been
- 19:57Speaker 1: here for a while, Rollo. The fact that you've never
- 20:00Speaker 1: seen it before very surprising to me. I know it's
- 20:03Speaker 1: gonna take your while to adjust. But he not offited
- 20:06Speaker 1: like your aunts for no reason. Now answer question. Everywhere
- 20:10Speaker 1: you're supposed to love your neighbors. I got that. It
- 20:14Speaker 1: did not say you had to like them, talk to him,
- 20:17Speaker 1: play with him, or or help them up when they
- 20:21Speaker 1: fall down the steps that you accidentally tripped him in Yello,
- 20:30Speaker 1: you accidentally, I'm sorry, y'all ain't speaking. You ain't even
- 20:36Speaker 1: got to say I'm sorry. Wow, all right, thank you, CeeLo.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Coming up next, the nephew is here with run that
- 20:46Speaker 1: prank back. We'll get into it right after this. You're
- 20:49Speaker 1: listening to show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 20:54Speaker 1: Vice President elect Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris will be a
- 20:58Speaker 1: very anxious guy, excited about it. We can't wait to
- 21:02Speaker 1: Steve to speak to her. She's our newly elected vice president.
- 21:06Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is here, we'll run that
- 21:08Speaker 1: prank back what you got for his nav God is
- 21:11Speaker 1: not through with you, but we are. Let me say
- 21:17Speaker 1: that moment time. I said, God is not through with you,
- 21:20Speaker 1: but we let's go cat down. Hello. Hello, I'm trying
- 21:26Speaker 1: to reach our sister Takara. Who's This is Brother Brinkley
- 21:31Speaker 1: from the church. How are you doing? Oh? Hey, how
- 21:34Speaker 1: is it? It's I'm at work? Can I call you back? Well?
- 21:39Speaker 1: This is this is kind of urgent. I call your
- 21:42Speaker 1: your house phone and I didn't get an answer, and
- 21:44Speaker 1: I had this other number on file, so I wanted
- 21:46Speaker 1: to reach out to you. But what I won't take long,
- 21:49Speaker 1: But it really is a hurt. All right, Well that
- 21:52Speaker 1: urgent matter if you don't man, all right, hold on,
- 21:54Speaker 1: hold on, let me let me step away from our tubercle. Hello. Hello, yeah, okay,
- 22:00Speaker 1: So what's uh? Okay. We have a bit of a
- 22:05Speaker 1: problem here and we're gonna try to We're trying to
- 22:08Speaker 1: clean up a lot of things here at the church.
- 22:11Speaker 1: You know, I hate to be the one to bring
- 22:12Speaker 1: you some bad news. Let me just start by by
- 22:17Speaker 1: saying this, God might not be through with you, but
- 22:20Speaker 1: we are here at the church. It has been brought
- 22:23Speaker 1: to our at tension UH Sister car that you guys
- 22:26Speaker 1: are halfway coming to church. You you you might come
- 22:29Speaker 1: once once out of a month. You're not tithing as
- 22:32Speaker 1: we expected. You know, the church can't really depend on you. Um,
- 22:37Speaker 1: it's you, you got you know, you bring your kids.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I think your brother comes to the church. But everybody
- 22:42Speaker 1: is coming every now and then. We cannot depend on
- 22:46Speaker 1: you all to be the members and have the expectation
- 22:49Speaker 1: of what we're trying to say. Yes, and you work,
- 22:59Speaker 1: you work under the I'm sorry, I've never heard of
- 23:03Speaker 1: you before. I have been officiated by the pastor. As
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'm over actually over the finance and we're going through
- 23:09Speaker 1: all of the books and looking at all of the
- 23:11Speaker 1: numbers of the of the members of the church and directory,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and we're noticing what people are pan tide, what people
- 23:17Speaker 1: aren't fantide, who's coming to church, who's participating in different
- 23:21Speaker 1: and different UH ministries and whatnot. And Sister Dakar, I
- 23:26Speaker 1: got I have to be honest with you. You you
- 23:28Speaker 1: as maybe once every one of the mind we might
- 23:31Speaker 1: see you might not see you, you know, and like
- 23:34Speaker 1: I said, God may not be through with you, but
- 23:36Speaker 1: we are well okay, you been saying that this. Listen,
- 23:41Speaker 1: why I don't understand like like y'all monitoring my my
- 23:46Speaker 1: my church going like I can't. I have to go
- 23:49Speaker 1: every single week. I mean when I came, why are
- 23:53Speaker 1: you absence so much at the church explaining that? I mean,
- 23:57Speaker 1: I have three kids, you know, I mean I have
- 24:00Speaker 1: two jobs. Sometimes I don't. I mean, I still pray.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I don't understand how a church can are you y'all
- 24:08Speaker 1: star you got two jobs, but we're not getting tied
- 24:11Speaker 1: like you got two jobs. You're not tiding like you
- 24:14Speaker 1: got two jobs because I can't afford you. Just you
- 24:17Speaker 1: just said I got two jobs. That's what you just said,
- 24:19Speaker 1: and that those two jobs are in supporting my kids.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I mean, I can't support the church and my kids.
- 24:25Speaker 1: It's the same term. I can't do both. I mean
- 24:27Speaker 1: I give when I can. Let me ask you something.
- 24:31Speaker 1: What are you making on that other job? Are you? Is?
- 24:35Speaker 1: Are you really? You? Really? I didn't know the church? God?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Is this deep within you really asking me how much
- 24:43Speaker 1: I make? And my second y'ab that I cape to
- 24:46Speaker 1: support my kids? Come on, now, did this gotta be something?
- 24:50Speaker 1: This is I'm gonna say this to you again. God
- 24:54Speaker 1: may not beat through with you, but we are thank you.
- 24:58Speaker 1: You are gonna pay your tides. If you're not gonna
- 25:01Speaker 1: come to work on a consistent basis, then what what
- 25:05Speaker 1: do you benefit? The church? Is that what the church
- 25:08Speaker 1: is about? This can be I'm gonna say this. I'm
- 25:11Speaker 1: gonna say this to you. You. Let me tell you
- 25:14Speaker 1: what the church is all about? The churches and you
- 25:17Speaker 1: say we done with you again one more time? I'm serious. No,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you this. You're talking about this, that
- 25:23Speaker 1: what the church is about. Let me tell you what
- 25:25Speaker 1: the church is. The church is a hospital for cripple souls.
- 25:30Speaker 1: You understand that, that's what. But when when we have
- 25:34Speaker 1: the souls that are coming in to be saved, we
- 25:38Speaker 1: are doing our job. And guess what those people that
- 25:41Speaker 1: are coming in, you know what they're doing. They're tithing.
- 25:43Speaker 1: That's what they're doing. They're tithing. You said the dakara
- 25:48Speaker 1: and I'm sure your soul it's crippled. You're not coming
- 25:51Speaker 1: and you're not tithing. You may give us a little
- 25:54Speaker 1: something something when you show up. If you show up,
- 25:57Speaker 1: Am I right a wrong? Okay? Hold let me get
- 26:01Speaker 1: worthy straight. This is what you called me for in
- 26:04Speaker 1: the middle of my work day to tell me that
- 26:07Speaker 1: you're kicking me out the church because I don't give
- 26:10Speaker 1: enough money to the church while I'm at my job
- 26:14Speaker 1: that I can barely afford to pay my bills with
- 26:18Speaker 1: not a fact. I don't even know who you are.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I've never met you in my life, and I don't
- 26:23Speaker 1: you know what this church? You know? This church? I
- 26:27Speaker 1: hate to say it, but if that's what the church
- 26:28Speaker 1: is about, you had the nerve to call me I'm
- 26:33Speaker 1: the bland people. Come on, okay, na na na, na na.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Let me say something now, you're being very Unchristian like. Nah,
- 26:42Speaker 1: just to the garden. You're gonna watch it done in
- 26:44Speaker 1: your language him, this is not Christian life. Well, well
- 26:48Speaker 1: do you do you know brother Dwayne? Isn't that your brother? Okay?
- 26:52Speaker 1: And my brother Duwaye is who told me to call you?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Really my brother? So what? So? What is this about? Hum? Whatever?
- 27:03Speaker 1: I don't know what is your name? My name is
- 27:06Speaker 1: nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your brother
- 27:09Speaker 1: da ain't got me the brank phone call you? No? Oh,
- 27:22Speaker 1: oh my gosh, yo, he's about to get me fire
- 27:24Speaker 1: you from this job. I'm a lobby screaming um looking
- 27:28Speaker 1: at me. Oh my harsh you are right, yeah, what's up? No? No, normal?
- 27:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, oh my god, my heart is racing.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Tell me that's the car. What is the baddest and
- 27:48Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land, Steve Harvey.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Everybody said, man, no, too much. Hey man, she was
- 28:06Speaker 1: right about one thing though. She was right about one
- 28:09Speaker 1: thing though. That's why a lot of people don't like
- 28:11Speaker 1: go to church. Yeah, call me talk about you're gonna
- 28:14Speaker 1: put me out of chair last. I'm trying to raise
- 28:16Speaker 1: the three kids. I barely got enough to pay this
- 28:18Speaker 1: money I give when I can't. Yeah, you know you
- 28:21Speaker 1: ain't give it enough. We're gonna put you out. Okay,
- 28:24Speaker 1: you need a church. I got one. It's every Monday,
- 28:29Speaker 1: Jack Point doing a joint of Jerusalem. God. I think
- 28:32Speaker 1: this is it though, twenty twenty one. I think this
- 28:34Speaker 1: is it for Shaw. Why do y'all want that? Just
- 28:40Speaker 1: to confirm because you said it ain't that I want it.
- 28:44Speaker 1: It ain't cause prediction mine. If I see y'all not
- 28:49Speaker 1: doing nothing, I promise you y'all coming up at the
- 28:55Speaker 1: top of the hour. She is here Vice President elect
- 28:58Speaker 1: Kamala Harris. Right after this, you're listening to show, right, everybody,
- 29:06Speaker 1: we're back, and we're back with a madame Vice president,
- 29:10Speaker 1: Madame vice Madame Vice President. I told you the last
- 29:16Speaker 1: time we talked, I said, the next time I will
- 29:18Speaker 1: be speaking to you, I will be saying, Madame Vice President, Indeed,
- 29:23Speaker 1: you did say that. You did say that. The Harvey
- 29:26Speaker 1: you are just you just have so many talents, including
- 29:29Speaker 1: seeing the future. Um, what a blessing. Let me just
- 29:34Speaker 1: start with it. How do you feel? Oh, that's so
- 29:37Speaker 1: kind of you to ask. You know, I feel a
- 29:40Speaker 1: combination of things and emotions. I feel a sense of purpose.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You know we're gonna be Um, we will have announced
- 29:50Speaker 1: that a whole COVID relief bills and package and trying
- 29:55Speaker 1: to deal with you know, hungry people that are trying
- 29:58Speaker 1: to feed their children. UM. I feel a great, incredible
- 30:04Speaker 1: sense of gratitude for all of those who you know,
- 30:08Speaker 1: made this possible. And I'm talking about the ancestors. I'm
- 30:11Speaker 1: talking about you know, Shirley Chism and Barbara Jordan and
- 30:16Speaker 1: all of them. Wow. And I'm I'm feeling a sense
- 30:23Speaker 1: of a certain excitement about the possibility and um, so
- 30:30Speaker 1: there's a mix of emotion to be sure, you know.
- 30:34Speaker 1: And you said that in one of your speeches. And
- 30:36Speaker 1: I was sitting there with my wife and we were
- 30:39Speaker 1: watching this speech and my wife was sitting there. First
- 30:43Speaker 1: of all, the suit the cream went to white suit.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Marjorie was off the hook, her and her girls was
- 30:53Speaker 1: on the phone. So you pad, you passed the litmus
- 30:56Speaker 1: test when it comes to fashion. Yeah, I'm so happy.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I to ask Old the sisters is with you on this.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I want to say also, congratulate. I want to say
- 31:08Speaker 1: a Happy Founders Day to you because you're a member
- 31:11Speaker 1: of Almighty Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. So congratulations, Happy
- 31:17Speaker 1: Founders Day. All those people are you? You? You you?
- 31:21Speaker 1: You got us proud on so many levels. And I
- 31:24Speaker 1: just wanted to say, this is so great for all
- 31:27Speaker 1: of us here in America. So let's talk about that
- 31:29Speaker 1: for a minute. Because you mentioned the COVID relief package.
- 31:33Speaker 1: You got a new nine and nine hundred billion is
- 31:35Speaker 1: at it? Or what is it? It's one point nine
- 31:39Speaker 1: trillion and it's one point nine trillion, uh huh. And
- 31:43Speaker 1: we've named it the American Rescue plan, and it includes
- 31:48Speaker 1: a few a few things that are very important in
- 31:52Speaker 1: terms of immediate relief for folks. I mean, first of all,
- 31:55Speaker 1: it's gonna be on top of the six hundred dollars
- 31:58Speaker 1: that got went to direct X for folks in December,
- 32:01Speaker 1: we're going to do another fourteen hundred for a total
- 32:03Speaker 1: of two thousand, right, and so that's direct relief for folks.
- 32:09Speaker 1: We're looking at one hundred and seventy billion to help
- 32:12Speaker 1: reopen schools. And so you know, Steve, weren't when we're
- 32:15Speaker 1: talking about reopening schools. We're not going to be able
- 32:18Speaker 1: to go back to normal immediately. So helping schools will
- 32:21Speaker 1: be about reducing class sizes, right, and helping for the
- 32:25Speaker 1: schools to modify their spaces so that it can be
- 32:28Speaker 1: safe for the kids to go back to school. And
- 32:31Speaker 1: then twenty billions for community vaccination sites, because we want
- 32:35Speaker 1: to make sure that we have vaccinations places that are
- 32:39Speaker 1: in the community that are accessible to folks so they
- 32:43Speaker 1: can go and get vaccinated. And I want to encourage
- 32:47Speaker 1: everyone that when it's their turns, get your vaccination. It
- 32:51Speaker 1: is about saving life. I got mine and please get yours.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I think that's going to be critical. You know, you know,
- 33:00Speaker 1: you hear so much negative things coming out about the vaccine.
- 33:03Speaker 1: You know, people are skeptical and everything. What do you
- 33:06Speaker 1: say to people who are skeptical about it? Believe the scientists,
- 33:11Speaker 1: believe the science. Listen. The reality of it is that
- 33:15Speaker 1: you know it was a black woman who helped create
- 33:18Speaker 1: the vaccine. Wow. Yeah. And first of all, we have
- 33:22Speaker 1: to always speak truth and acknowledge the history of how
- 33:27Speaker 1: black people in America have been treated and the way
- 33:32Speaker 1: in terms of the years many many years and generations ago.
- 33:36Speaker 1: But how you know black folks retreated by the medical
- 33:39Speaker 1: community and even today right the work that we have
- 33:41Speaker 1: in terms of disparities that we need to deal with.
- 33:44Speaker 1: But on the vaccine, the scientists created the vaccine. The
- 33:49Speaker 1: scientists have reviewed it and they have and it's safe.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I wouldn't have taken it if it weren't. And we
- 33:56Speaker 1: have to save lives. Black folks are dying blackos or
- 33:59Speaker 1: twice likely to get COVID and three times it's likely
- 34:03Speaker 1: to die from it. Look at what's happening in terms
- 34:05Speaker 1: of our black line small businesses that are disproportionately closing
- 34:12Speaker 1: forever some of them, right, and what we need to
- 34:15Speaker 1: do to get ahold of this virus. So our small
- 34:17Speaker 1: business is snopen back up. There's so many things that
- 34:21Speaker 1: are at play right now, but this vaccine will save
- 34:24Speaker 1: your life. It will save the lives of the people
- 34:27Speaker 1: in your family, in your neighborhood, and your community. And
- 34:31Speaker 1: so let's trust the science. You know what. I think
- 34:36Speaker 1: it's refreshing for us to hear because the current administration
- 34:39Speaker 1: has just gone on absentee leave when it comes to
- 34:43Speaker 1: the stimulus package and especially this pandemic. I mean, we're
- 34:47Speaker 1: hearing nothing, nothing at all. So it's kind of refreshing
- 34:51Speaker 1: that you and President Biden have made this such a
- 34:54Speaker 1: priority in the first one hundred days. It has to be.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I mean, see people of stuff friend, and and and
- 35:01Speaker 1: and in food lines. You know, we're in the midst
- 35:03Speaker 1: of a hunger crisis in America. The last I look,
- 35:06Speaker 1: we have one in six adults are with children, are
- 35:11Speaker 1: saying their family is hungry. One in three is having
- 35:15Speaker 1: trouble paying their rent, one in four small businesses have closed.
- 35:20Speaker 1: People are struggling. And so you know, President like Biden
- 35:24Speaker 1: and I are saying, look, we need to have is
- 35:25Speaker 1: our first order of business to bring relief and to
- 35:30Speaker 1: rescue people. Um, and that's what that's what this feeling
- 35:33Speaker 1: is about. Yeah, Madame Vice President, I know you only
- 35:37Speaker 1: got this one break, but before we let you go,
- 35:39Speaker 1: can you hold on one second because I have one
- 35:41Speaker 1: more thing I want to discuss with you. We'll be
- 35:43Speaker 1: right back with more to Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 35:45Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, right, everybody, we're back
- 35:51Speaker 1: and we're back with a Madame Vice President Kamala Harris,
- 35:55Speaker 1: who is with us this morning here on the Steve
- 35:58Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. When you were sitting there and President
- 36:02Speaker 1: Biden said that he really appreciated the turnout in our communities.
- 36:09Speaker 1: As you were sitting there watching this unfold as it
- 36:12Speaker 1: did in Milwaukee and then Detroit and then Philly and
- 36:17Speaker 1: then Atlanto, I mean that had to be a sense
- 36:21Speaker 1: of like, wow, you know, we really have gotten it
- 36:26Speaker 1: together this time. Would you say? I would say that,
- 36:30Speaker 1: and I would say that it was a display of
- 36:33Speaker 1: our power. It was a display of our power. And
- 36:37Speaker 1: the thing that makes me so proud about it is that,
- 36:40Speaker 1: in spite us in so many of those places, efforts
- 36:44Speaker 1: by powerful people to try and make it difficult for
- 36:46Speaker 1: us to vote or confusing for us to vote or
- 36:49Speaker 1: to suppress the vote. Vote said, nope, I'm not going
- 36:52Speaker 1: to be silent. I'll stand in that line as long
- 36:56Speaker 1: as I need to. I will vote early, I'll make
- 36:58Speaker 1: a plan of vote. And that's what decided the outcome
- 37:02Speaker 1: of this election. We knew the power that we presents
- 37:06Speaker 1: and we exercised that power. Look what happened in Georgia,
- 37:12Speaker 1: yes January, the people of Georgia elected a black Baptist
- 37:19Speaker 1: preacher from Epony's, a black Fatsurches doctor king, and a
- 37:25Speaker 1: Jewish man out of the state of Georgia. Yeah, go
- 37:29Speaker 1: to the United States Senate. Come on, that's right, that's right.
- 37:33Speaker 1: That's the home base of the Steve Harvey more to show,
- 37:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey is a resident of George Weaves grounding. You
- 37:40Speaker 1: made us so proud to go to the polls, not
- 37:43Speaker 1: only you, but so didn't President Biden. And look, it
- 37:46Speaker 1: wasn't just us. You know, you don't get almost eighty
- 37:49Speaker 1: million votes just cast black people vote, right, you know
- 37:52Speaker 1: it was it was a lot of good people out
- 37:55Speaker 1: there that voted for change, that wanted to see something
- 37:57Speaker 1: different in this country. And I think we we got
- 38:00Speaker 1: a chance. We know you all have some difficult times
- 38:02Speaker 1: ahead of you with this transition and everything, but I
- 38:05Speaker 1: want you to know, uh, Madame Vice President, that you
- 38:08Speaker 1: have a place to come, a friend to share your
- 38:11Speaker 1: thoughts and whatever you want us to know as a
- 38:14Speaker 1: community and the country. And and you always welcome on
- 38:17Speaker 1: this show. And you and you are making us feel
- 38:24Speaker 1: so much pride right now, and you wear it well.
- 38:28Speaker 1: And in the words of Marjorie the winter white cream outfit,
- 38:34Speaker 1: leak happy Birthday on Sunday. You know, I'm gonna have
- 38:44Speaker 1: to take that. I've been arguing with my team about that,
- 38:47Speaker 1: but since it's coming from you that I feel special now.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Thank you so much. You have a friend here at
- 38:53Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Madame Vice President, Thank you
- 38:56Speaker 1: so much, and congratulations. Thank you Steve Harvey for all
- 39:00Speaker 1: you do. Thank you as absolutely thank you. Coming up
- 39:05Speaker 1: with thirty four minutes after the hour more of the
- 39:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this, you're listening Steve
- 39:12Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Wow, Steve, that was really good. That's
- 39:17Speaker 1: how you interview. No, that's how you interview about to
- 39:22Speaker 1: her even more now it was good or even more? Yeah,
- 39:26Speaker 1: I love all over again. Yeah, yeah, you can tell
- 39:32Speaker 1: that she cares. She truly cares. Yeah, you don't just
- 39:36Speaker 1: just hearing yeah, Steve, you asked, Yeah, you know what,
- 39:43Speaker 1: and and like you know, it's just refreshing to hear
- 39:48Speaker 1: somebody in a leadership capacity that has some type of
- 39:52Speaker 1: simbulance of caring for the common man. Who is the
- 39:56Speaker 1: voter out here? Look up in that stimulus package right
- 40:00Speaker 1: a way, that's big and getting these people vaccinated. Man,
- 40:04Speaker 1: this has to happen, man, this has got to happen. Now. Look,
- 40:07Speaker 1: I know it's a lot of people out there time
- 40:09Speaker 1: about now. I don't get the vaccine and all like that.
- 40:12Speaker 1: You can make that decision on your own. But in
- 40:15Speaker 1: the words of Chris Rock, I take Tyler al and
- 40:18Speaker 1: I don't know what's in that either, but hell, my
- 40:20Speaker 1: head stop hurt. Okay, at this point, let's get rid
- 40:26Speaker 1: of this. Let's go back living Jay. What if we
- 40:31Speaker 1: eat pig feed hawk malls and drink gin, we can
- 40:34Speaker 1: take that damn vaccine. I just think about half the stuff,
- 40:41Speaker 1: half stuff out and putting man or for dinner a meal.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I'm telling them looking at meat that's looking back at you. What. Yes,
- 40:59Speaker 1: I've been yeah at an apple in his mouth. But right,
- 41:11Speaker 1: but that's it. She was talking about what they're going
- 41:14Speaker 1: to do. You know, we've talked so much about Trump
- 41:16Speaker 1: and his foolishness and all of that, but now it's
- 41:19Speaker 1: time to go down to business, you know, and get
- 41:22Speaker 1: real administration right, pandemic all of that. He had the
- 41:32Speaker 1: opportunity to be the greatest president. But just do right.
- 41:35Speaker 1: You could see what people needed and all you had
- 41:38Speaker 1: to do was give that to us. And but man,
- 41:40Speaker 1: how did you blow that job? He wasn't going to
- 41:43Speaker 1: be the greatest all the way president are president? You
- 41:50Speaker 1: get all the way up there, the greatest job in
- 41:52Speaker 1: the world. Yeah, who could have been a great president?
- 41:59Speaker 1: That's what I don't chang. I think Trump could have
- 42:01Speaker 1: been a great president. That's what Jay. He just eft
- 42:05Speaker 1: it up. Now, he really eft up the don't get
- 42:08Speaker 1: me wrong. But he had an opportunity. We yes, yes, yeah,
- 42:15Speaker 1: you're not gonna say that. You stay him show ready.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I had double check, I hold up because I had
- 42:25Speaker 1: my mind had veered. Also all I had double check. Toture.
- 42:29Speaker 1: We okay, okay, we on, let me let me die
- 42:34Speaker 1: before you cuts me up. Let me let me let
- 42:37Speaker 1: me clarify, once you make it to the presidency, you
- 42:42Speaker 1: have an opportunity to be a good president. Okay, efted up,
- 42:46Speaker 1: I got I know exactly what you mean, Jay, I
- 42:49Speaker 1: got that. Yeah. I'm also but you weren't president from
- 42:56Speaker 1: the time he got here, from the time from the
- 43:00Speaker 1: time today. Yeah, ain't been realty much talk about you
- 43:09Speaker 1: know something. Man. For one moment though, when the when
- 43:12Speaker 1: the when the virus first hit America, and after he
- 43:15Speaker 1: had stopped saying it was a hoax, when he was
- 43:17Speaker 1: doing those daily briefings on how they was gonna deal
- 43:20Speaker 1: with it, you know, I thought, Okay, man, maybe this
- 43:22Speaker 1: dude got a plan to help us get out of this.
- 43:24Speaker 1: He didn't, no campaign shot for him. Yeah yeah, because
- 43:31Speaker 1: he knew the campaign was over he had lost. Yeah, yeah, yep.
- 43:36Speaker 1: So no he again, Yeah, and I don't want him
- 43:40Speaker 1: to overshadow what we have coming up, and that's you know,
- 43:43Speaker 1: a new administration Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and great interview,
- 43:48Speaker 1: great interview that I love her warm. All right, Uh,
- 43:54Speaker 1: coming up next, the nephew will be here with Today's
- 43:57Speaker 1: prank phone call. That's coming up right after this. You're
- 44:00Speaker 1: listening morning show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:06Speaker 1: right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today,
- 44:09Speaker 1: the subject I went from whop to hop. Wait till
- 44:13Speaker 1: you hear what that's all about. We'll get into it
- 44:14Speaker 1: in in a few minutes. But right now the nephew
- 44:17Speaker 1: is here with today's prank phone call what you got
- 44:20Speaker 1: for his nest? Baby? Wait? Oh baby wait? Are you okay? Baby? Wait? Baby?
- 44:28Speaker 1: Baby wait? Baby wait baby? He say jay baby wait,
- 44:35Speaker 1: that's the prank? Baby wait right there, I got your
- 44:37Speaker 1: w's I got him Okay, Okay, I'm gonna say baby,
- 44:42Speaker 1: you say second part? Baby wait? Got it? There we go. Now,
- 44:47Speaker 1: come on, teamwork, game work, baby. Hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 44:55Speaker 1: to reach a trainer. Please. Yeah, this is traina great
- 44:59Speaker 1: TRAINA money is Earnest Ernest Murphy down here at the
- 45:01Speaker 1: bus bard with the from the school district. Your son
- 45:05Speaker 1: is Devin, am I right? Yeah? Okay. Now he's in
- 45:10Speaker 1: the sixth grade, I think, yeah, yeah, everything is flying.
- 45:15Speaker 1: I think he's on he rides bus ninety Bus ninety three.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Does he ride US ninety three? Uh yeah, yeah he does. Okay,
- 45:25Speaker 1: So now the school board has implemented a new rule,
- 45:29Speaker 1: and um, we're having to call a lot of parents
- 45:33Speaker 1: and let him know about the new rule for us
- 45:36Speaker 1: as far as the buses are concerned. Now, from my understanding,
- 45:40Speaker 1: each child that gets on the bus has to weigh
- 45:43Speaker 1: less than one hundred and twenty five pounds. That's what
- 45:47Speaker 1: the new rule that is implemented by the board. Say
- 45:53Speaker 1: that again, each child that gets on the bus has
- 45:58Speaker 1: to weigh less than one one hundred and twenty five parents,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I don't understand. I don't understand. What's okay? So what
- 46:08Speaker 1: does what does that mean? So starting on Monday, Starting
- 46:11Speaker 1: on Monday, what they're gonna do if they're gonna the
- 46:14Speaker 1: bus driver will have a scale and he will wait
- 46:17Speaker 1: the kids they get on on the bus. I understand. Man,
- 46:22Speaker 1: the doctor, like I say, I'm calling, I'm calling every
- 46:24Speaker 1: patent that they say, you're gonna you're gonna waive my
- 46:29Speaker 1: child before he gets on the bus. That's that's what
- 46:32Speaker 1: the new rule. That's what the new rules there. If
- 46:34Speaker 1: he's over one twenty five, then he he'll either have
- 46:36Speaker 1: to walk or you have to take him to school.
- 46:39Speaker 1: But I have a job, Okay, I have a job.
- 46:42Speaker 1: I thought it gonna take my kids in school, but
- 46:44Speaker 1: I don't. That's what the bus explores. That's what my
- 46:47Speaker 1: tax dollars paid for us. Right, But what's the reasoning
- 46:51Speaker 1: the rationale behind this? Okay, let me tell you what's
- 46:54Speaker 1: going on. From what they're saying, the weight of these
- 46:58Speaker 1: children is wearing these transmissions on this bus. On these
- 47:02Speaker 1: buses transmission, the transmission cannot take all of that. So
- 47:07Speaker 1: they are limiting the weight of each child. So now
- 47:10Speaker 1: how much does that disma? I think that's discrimination, but
- 47:16Speaker 1: it definite over Is he over one hundred and twenty
- 47:19Speaker 1: five pounds? He? Okay? He is? Okay? And you you're
- 47:25Speaker 1: probably gonna have to take your son to school? Are
- 47:28Speaker 1: you gonna have to walk? He probably needed to walk
- 47:30Speaker 1: to school if he already or hunting twenty five pounds?
- 47:36Speaker 1: What as are you talking about? Man? All I'm saying.
- 47:43Speaker 1: All I'm saying is if your son is overweight one
- 47:47Speaker 1: hundred and twenty five, you know, maybe the exercise are
- 47:50Speaker 1: doing good? When like I said, the school is that
- 47:52Speaker 1: gonna allow him on the pus? But sure I will
- 47:57Speaker 1: accept this. Who do I need to call? Is there
- 48:00Speaker 1: a manager? Is then a city it's council member? I mean,
- 48:03Speaker 1: this is seriously, the most ub discriminatory practice I've ever
- 48:08Speaker 1: heard of. It doesn't even make sense. You're talking about
- 48:10Speaker 1: a child, I understand, but we're talking about a child
- 48:13Speaker 1: a way more than a grown person. You're so I
- 48:16Speaker 1: need to get what is your name, sir? Tell me
- 48:18Speaker 1: your name again. My name is Ernest. I'm down here
- 48:21Speaker 1: at the bus ball. I would like to speak to
- 48:24Speaker 1: the supervisor, like, now, what do you You do not
- 48:28Speaker 1: get to speak to my about my child that way?
- 48:30Speaker 1: You get to speak to any kid that way. You
- 48:32Speaker 1: should not be working at a school if that is
- 48:35Speaker 1: your attitude. I'm no, I don't work at the school.
- 48:37Speaker 1: I work at the bus ball. I'm down here at
- 48:39Speaker 1: the bus ball and they gave me your day right
- 48:42Speaker 1: because you're saying he's over behind in twenty five pack.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I am an absolute shock. This is so okay. So
- 48:52Speaker 1: do you have a fantic? I mean, do you have scuba?
- 48:55Speaker 1: I'm so I do you have a big child? Listen
- 48:57Speaker 1: what my child looks like? How much way? Is none
- 49:01Speaker 1: of your business. I'm going to call the school. They
- 49:04Speaker 1: can't be working with your company. If this is the
- 49:06Speaker 1: way that you treat people, and you talk about children
- 49:10Speaker 1: this way, doesn't matter with here. I guess what they're
- 49:15Speaker 1: doing is this is the way of them approaching obesity.
- 49:18Speaker 1: You know, whoever, whoever over one hundred twenty, they might
- 49:24Speaker 1: walk it all your start. Listen, listen. That is the
- 49:28Speaker 1: most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Okay, I have to work.
- 49:32Speaker 1: My son is getting on that and I'm going to
- 49:35Speaker 1: call the schoolboard and should not be working with you.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Maybe another bust company, I don't know, but I'm calling
- 49:40Speaker 1: the city. I will call the members cited to call,
- 49:43Speaker 1: but you need to give me a supervisor's name. What now?
- 49:46Speaker 1: Right now? Do you think you need to start cooking
- 49:49Speaker 1: different post so divin don't have you know, maybe maybe
- 49:53Speaker 1: it's start us at home and what you feed me? Everybody,
- 49:58Speaker 1: you know, I am calling supervisor. I'm calling this the city.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I'm calling the school. I'm going to you so fired,
- 50:05Speaker 1: like I can't even believe that you're allowed to make
- 50:07Speaker 1: this call because like our other parents. Okay with this,
- 50:12Speaker 1: I'm called. When you on your way to work in
- 50:15Speaker 1: the morning, TRAINA do you listen to the Steve Harvey
- 50:19Speaker 1: Morning Show? Oh my god, yes I do. From the
- 50:27Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Baby, Yes, your cousin Vicky got
- 50:32Speaker 1: me the prank polk call you baby. Oh my god,
- 50:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna yeah. I mean I was like, oh my god,
- 50:42Speaker 1: I love Harvey. I love you, Elisabeth had God, you
- 50:48Speaker 1: gotta tell me this baby traina what is the baddest
- 50:52Speaker 1: and I mean the baddest radio show in the lane?
- 50:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey? You know I wasn't I wasn't mad if
- 51:03Speaker 1: that one? That was pretty good? When that right there?
- 51:05Speaker 1: You know, I like thee Maybe a little son need
- 51:08Speaker 1: to run his little fat ass down to the He's right, right,
- 51:15Speaker 1: he's right, He's completely right. I mean he shouldn't be
- 51:20Speaker 1: mad and should be making some low carved meals for him.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Right now. You have some low carved meals, and don't
- 51:29Speaker 1: get mad about it. It's okay. Nobody's gonna say a
- 51:32Speaker 1: white girl named Trina, no one, that's what no one?
- 51:38Speaker 1: Just so many, so many levels. Huh. It starts at home,
- 51:47Speaker 1: you know what I mean, It starts at That's where
- 51:49Speaker 1: it starts. Man. All that fried food, let it go sometime.
- 51:54Speaker 1: You know, fried food, all that ice cream, all that
- 51:57Speaker 1: junk y'all got in there, and potato chips, all that
- 51:59Speaker 1: that's that's that's come on now, pull up. It's so good.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Though I know I'm missing. I ain't had it in
- 52:06Speaker 1: two weeks. I showed the missing. I saw it sat
- 52:09Speaker 1: eate a peanut butter and jellis right in front of
- 52:11Speaker 1: my face. Dad, you ought to taste it. It's really good.
- 52:15Speaker 1: You don't even that is the best sandwich in the world.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Peanut peanut butter. I don't like h you don't like oh,
- 52:27Speaker 1: just like peanut butter. You don't like jelly. You don't
- 52:29Speaker 1: like jelly, like yell. I don't like peanut butter and
- 52:32Speaker 1: jelly just like peanut butter, the peanut butter sandwich. Yes,
- 52:36Speaker 1: don't tell nobody else. You only do that when you
- 52:40Speaker 1: run out of jelly. What is wrong? We got jelly?
- 52:44Speaker 1: I just don't let me drop this right quick. I
- 52:46Speaker 1: am stupid in the morning time, but I got some
- 52:49Speaker 1: sense that night. Catch me tonight, Ready to Love Reunion.
- 52:53Speaker 1: That's right, Ready to love. Last resort the Reunion is
- 52:56Speaker 1: tonight on on nine eastern, eighth Central, only on on

- 53:56Speaker 1: right now. Buggle up, hold on tight, we got it
- 53:59Speaker 1: for you. Here is the strong every letter subject. My
- 54:02Speaker 1: man says, I went from wop to hop. All right,
- 54:08Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty year old mother with
- 54:11Speaker 1: three children. My children's father and I have been together
- 54:14Speaker 1: over ten years, So let me say this before you
- 54:17Speaker 1: bash me. He has asked me to marry him several times,
- 54:20Speaker 1: and I respectfully declined because we need to go to therapy.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Before we get married. Here's why my confidence is at
- 54:27Speaker 1: an all time low because my children's father has cheated
- 54:30Speaker 1: many times. Whenever I confront him, his exact words are,
- 54:34Speaker 1: your sex is very boring and you complain too much.
- 54:38Speaker 1: When the new Mega Stallion and Cardi B song came out,
- 54:41Speaker 1: he even joked that I've gone from wop to hop,
- 54:45Speaker 1: meaning I have horrible ap. My response was, well, I
- 54:51Speaker 1: was what you said in the letter was horrible ass
- 54:55Speaker 1: p You want to say as you got to read
- 55:00Speaker 1: the letter we wrote the letting on him, You didn't.
- 55:03Speaker 1: You didn't write the letter ike anyway, all right, you
- 55:11Speaker 1: guys got the message. My response was, well, I wouldn't
- 55:14Speaker 1: complain as much and would do a better job in
- 55:16Speaker 1: the bedroom if you were half the man you used
- 55:18Speaker 1: to be. I'm often tired from work and running around
- 55:21Speaker 1: with three children, so he blames me for our lackluster
- 55:24Speaker 1: sex life and not ever being in the mood. I've
- 55:29Speaker 1: obliged him many nights and would just lie there trying
- 55:32Speaker 1: not to fall asleep until the sex was over. But
- 55:35Speaker 1: now years later and after all the cheating, it has
- 55:37Speaker 1: affected my ability to perform in the bedroom. I've heard
- 55:41Speaker 1: it's a mental thing, But I'm not sure why I
- 55:43Speaker 1: can't get excited or in the mood. I know that
- 55:46Speaker 1: if I can't please him, he's going to get it
- 55:48Speaker 1: somewhere else. Just recently, we got into a big argument
- 55:52Speaker 1: and he yelled out that I have some whack a kitty.
- 55:56Speaker 1: He apologized a few minutes later. But this is affecting
- 56:01Speaker 1: my confidence. He refuses to go to therapy, So should
- 56:04Speaker 1: I take my three children and leave him? Okay, listen,
- 56:08Speaker 1: you don't need therapy. You've mentioned therapy a few times
- 56:11Speaker 1: in this letter. You need a new man, that's what
- 56:14Speaker 1: you need. He's not deserving of you. I mean, what
- 56:17Speaker 1: does he do besides put you down and cheat? Ten
- 56:20Speaker 1: years of this, ten years of this you've been going through.
- 56:24Speaker 1: It has to be enough, that you know, just say enough.
- 56:29Speaker 1: This has to be enough for even the strongest and
- 56:32Speaker 1: the most confident woman wouldn't be able to deal with
- 56:34Speaker 1: this all the time. And here you are doing what
- 56:36Speaker 1: so many women do, blaming yourself. I mean, I just say,
- 56:41Speaker 1: life happens. Three kids in a full time job that's
- 56:44Speaker 1: not easy for anyone, and then he expects you to
- 56:47Speaker 1: perform and all of this and blah blah blah, when
- 56:50Speaker 1: your man is not right, sex is the last thing
- 56:53Speaker 1: on your mind. Let me tell you that the only
- 56:55Speaker 1: thing that you were to blame for in this is
- 56:57Speaker 1: staying with him, in my opinion, for ten years, and
- 57:00Speaker 1: for taking him back repeatedly when he cheats on you.
- 57:05Speaker 1: So you don't give him an incentive to stop cheating
- 57:08Speaker 1: or anything like that. So I say to you, first
- 57:10Speaker 1: things first, don't worry about from whop to hop and
- 57:13Speaker 1: all of that right now, forget all that you can
- 57:17Speaker 1: get that back. He doesn't appreciate it or deserve it anyway.
- 57:21Speaker 1: It's just time to get back to yourself. I think
- 57:23Speaker 1: you should do you boo right now. Start building up,
- 57:26Speaker 1: Start restoring what you have allowed him to tear down
- 57:29Speaker 1: in all these years. Fall in love with yourself again.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Start putting yourself first. Okay, yourself first, and watch him
- 57:37Speaker 1: take notice. If not, don't be afraid to get the
- 57:39Speaker 1: kids and move on or put his trifling behind out. Steve,
- 57:45Speaker 1: you don't surely I agree with every single thing you've said.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Great advice to this woman. Of course, my angle is
- 57:55Speaker 1: gonna be a little bit different. See, I know how
- 57:58Speaker 1: men operate, and what he is doing is the atypical
- 58:01Speaker 1: thing when a man get busted or something. Here comes
- 58:05Speaker 1: the reverse psychology. Here comes the why I did it?
- 58:12Speaker 1: You know, now as thirty year old mother three been
- 58:15Speaker 1: together ten years, he's asking the marry, but she's declined,
- 58:19Speaker 1: respectfully because she feels like they need to go to
- 58:21Speaker 1: counseling before they getting married, because my confidence is at
- 58:26Speaker 1: all time low because he's cheated on her many times.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Wait a minute, cheated on you many times? Why are
- 58:34Speaker 1: you still in the relationship? The marriage part, this ain't
- 58:39Speaker 1: even a discussion. If a man ain't gonna act right
- 58:43Speaker 1: before you get married, what makes you think? What thing
- 58:48Speaker 1: happens that makes you think that he gonna change after
- 58:52Speaker 1: you getting married? Remember, like I've said on this show
- 58:55Speaker 1: several times, a minister told me one time, when a
- 58:59Speaker 1: man gets married, the only thing that changes the day
- 59:03Speaker 1: after the wedding is the appearance of his left hand
- 59:06Speaker 1: third finger. That's if he is what he was before
- 59:11Speaker 1: you got married. Marriage doesn't change anything. Now, if a
- 59:16Speaker 1: person you either practice being married or you don't. You
- 59:19Speaker 1: either getting ready used to cut and cut your little
- 59:22Speaker 1: strings out there or you a little wild old sewan
- 59:24Speaker 1: get that out the way for you get married. That's
- 59:26Speaker 1: how you get married. You can't be cheating on this
- 59:29Speaker 1: woman repeatedly, steady asking her to marry you. Marry you
- 59:34Speaker 1: for what? Man, are you kidding me? And then every
- 59:38Speaker 1: time you bust him, his exact words are, your sex
- 59:41Speaker 1: is very boring and you complain too much. Wait a minute,
- 59:45Speaker 1: that's not why you're cheating on me. You're cheating on
- 59:49Speaker 1: me because your ass is a low life. That's why
- 59:53Speaker 1: you're doing it. Man. Now, when we come back, I
- 59:56Speaker 1: have my way that you should handle this all right,
- 59:59Speaker 1: co we'll have first staying. Okay, oh okay. At twenty
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: three after the hour, subject of my Strawberry letter for
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: today is my man says I went from wop to hop.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening show,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: all right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Subject my man says I went from wop to hop.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: This letter right here kind of hurts. Shirley gave this
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: woman some spot on advice that I agree with thousand percent.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Thirty year old woman, three children. They've been together with
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: her man ten years, and she's asked he's asked her
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: to marry him several times. But she's respectfully declined. Why
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: you did it respectfully? I don't know because I found
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: out he wasn't treating you with no respect at all.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: But you respectfully decline because you say you need to
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: go to therapy before you getting married, because your confidence
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: as an all time low, because he has cheated on
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: you many times. Now, here's the thing. When you confront him,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: his exact words are, your sex is very boring and
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: you complain too much. Wait a minute, that that's why
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: he's cheated on you many times. But he stayed with
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: you for ten years, made three kids, and he's telling
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you that your sex is very boring. He showed keep
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: coming over there a lot for this boring sex. Three kids. Now,

- 1:20:01Speaker 1: really great. She was our special guest this morning, of course.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: And we're looking forward to the inauguration next week. That's right, Sherlan,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: we are. I'm so excited. Yeah, man, Trump is gonna
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: be on all the televisions. But maybe that's fake news.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Maybe that's fake Yeah, Hey, you know something, man, you
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: ain't heard fake news and why have you ain't got
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: a tweet either, ain't n I'm really enjoying him not
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: having a Twitter because it keeps a lot of this
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: rhetoric that he would be doing right now further fueling.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: And you know what, man, it's sort of crazy, because
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: all Republicans aren't bad people, that's not what this is.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: But there's a segment of his base that's really a
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: demand minted group of people because they come out of
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: the murk and the dirt, and they've always been here,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: but they've been embrazen to feel more powerful because of him.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: And I've just watched this group. Now there's a statistic
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: out that says seventy percent of Republicans feel as though
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the election was tampered with or stolen. Now that right
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: there is just the group of people pouting because the election.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: If you go back, they did one thing. They played
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: everything Fox said about the Democrats and the liberals when
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: Trump won. They're sore losers, they won't admit defeat. Why
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: don't they stop all this ignorant protesting. The man is
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: the president. It was a fair election. They did they
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: did a fifteen minute collage of everything they said about
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: liberals and Democrats when Trump beat Hillary Clinton. Now the
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: exact same number, the exact same electorals have been flipped.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: Now all of a sudden, it's a rigged election, and
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: it's stolen simply because he said it was. Now, the
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: part that's troubling is the Republican politicians who know that
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: this is not true. Wait, first of all, y'all, have
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: you thought about this. How do you rig an election
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: when there are so many people on both parties involved
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: in the count, in the election, in the balloting, in
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: the machinery, all of that. It would have to be
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: a massive bipartisan corruption that would have to occur for
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: this to even happen on a small scale, let loan
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: the scale that he needs to overturn this election. But
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: these politicians who are afraid of Donald Trump have just
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: sat here in calf feeding, and the sad part these
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: people still feeding it. Well, here's what ideally I would
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: love to see happen. I would love to see him
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: get impeached. But now I don't think that's gonna happen.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: But I think there's a part that even without impeachment,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: that can be of passing according to just a minority
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: that he can never run for office again. That's all
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: I need. I need Twitter and everybody to keep his
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: account quiet so he can't resurface and give this chance
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: to give this stuff a chance to crawl back into
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the hole that it crawled out of, because they've been
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: coming out of this hole for four years, these militia groups,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: white supremacists, the old hateful man on the screen with
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: the Ashwitch camp t shirt, I mean man walking through
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: that with the Confederate flag. They don't like nobody that
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: ain't like them, But can I share something with them?
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: We don't really like you either. I think, really you're
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: the scum of the earth. I really do, because you're
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: basing your superiority on the fact that you think that
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: you're superior to someone else and you're not. You're actually beneath.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: But it's amazing, man, how I think I sent something
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: to you all that LBJ said once. I want to
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: read it. Who can pull it up and read that
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: for me? Because I want you all to see what
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: this man knew about this type of rhetoric years ago
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: in the nineteen sixties. You found the Tommy alright, read
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: it from me, Timmy Lyndon Bain Johnson, all Right, here
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: he is on LBJ. Was once asked why poor white
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Republicans repeatedly vote against their own best interest, and this
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: was his response. If you can convince the lowest white
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: man he's better than the best colored man, he won't
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: know you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him something to
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: That's that's the roost that's been played with these people.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: They make you think, in your lowness of life that
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: you are still better than any person of color. Now
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: they use colored back then in the sixties. I'm old enough.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: I've been called colored before and referred to ourselves as
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: colored people. I've been Negroes before, I went through the
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: black and the African American. I've been all of it.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: That's what's determined. They found that to be true in
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the sixties, that they've convinced these low life people that
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: they're better than the best of us and give us
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: money so we can keep proving that for you. And
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: that's how they support them system. That's a sad statement, man,
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: But you know what that statement and all I guess
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: what the people that you hate that you think you're
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: better than they did a very American thing. They voted,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: and they voted, and now your leaders out in Black
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: lives matter, whether you believe it or not, and don't
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: come over here with that mess because we ain't have
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: it it no more. Have a great weekend, Happy birthday,
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Steve didn't see it. Happy change the game. Yeah, ain't
