- 0:00Speaker 1: I love the concept, but they turned out to be
- 0:02Speaker 1: radical left lunatics and the concept of it is good,
- 0:05Speaker 1: but it's all about the people.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but as an American taxpayer,
- 0:09Speaker 2: I don't want my dollars going towards this scrap, and
- 0:11Speaker 2: I know the American people don't either.
- 0:13Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:17Speaker 4: Good Tuesday morning, Ben Ferguson with you, and these are
- 0:19Speaker 4: the big stories we're covering today on the forty seven
- 0:22Speaker 4: Morning Update. First up, a massive win for Donald Trump
- 0:26Speaker 4: is Canada and Mexico Cave Trudeau submitting to Donald Trump
- 0:30Speaker 4: announcing a thirty day pause on tariffs and a one
- 0:33Speaker 4: point three billion dollar spend on border security. Trudeau even
- 0:38Speaker 4: agreed to appoint a FETNL czar, which will save countless
- 0:41Speaker 4: American lives. Up next, Donald Trump goes to war with USAID,
- 0:46Speaker 4: saying it turned out to be a radical left lunatic
- 0:50Speaker 4: filled organization wasting taxpayer dollars. It has now been an
- 0:55Speaker 4: essence shut down and the lunatics have been not allowed
- 0:58Speaker 4: back in the bill. I'll have the details on that
- 1:01Speaker 4: in just a moment. And finally, the new Jersey governor
- 1:05Speaker 4: came out now bragging that he had an illegal immigrant
- 1:09Speaker 4: living in his compound. His staff is now walking it back,
- 1:13Speaker 4: saying it's not actually true. Tom Homan responds to this
- 1:17Speaker 4: news and explains what he's going to do next.
- 1:20Speaker 5: It's the forty seven Morning Update, and it starts right now.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 1:24Speaker 4: If you believe the headlines from the liberal media, you
- 1:27Speaker 4: would have thought that Donald Trump made a massive mistake
- 1:31Speaker 4: threatening to put tariffs and then actually signing an executive
- 1:35Speaker 4: order on Canada and Mexico. NBC News's headline on Monday
- 1:41Speaker 4: morning read this way Trump dealing with fallout after imposing
- 1:45Speaker 4: tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China. The leaders of Canada
- 1:49Speaker 4: Mexico threatened retaliatory tariffs, while China said it will file
- 1:52Speaker 4: a lawsuit with the World Trade Organization.
- 1:55Speaker 5: All doom and gloom.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Well, it didn't take months or weeks, or even really
- 2:00Speaker 4: that many days for this tariff threat to become a
- 2:04Speaker 4: massive victory for Donald Trump. Not only did Canada cave,
- 2:08Speaker 4: but so did Mexico. Let's talk about Canada first. Trudeau
- 2:13Speaker 4: submitted to Donald Trump and announced a thirty day pause
- 2:16Speaker 4: on the tariff, saying he's excited to work together with America.
- 2:21Speaker 4: He also is part of the deal, is now going
- 2:23Speaker 4: to spend one point three billion dollars on a border
- 2:27Speaker 4: security plan. He has even decided to appoint a fetanyl czar.
- 2:32Speaker 4: This was a massive victory to save lives in America.
- 2:35Speaker 4: And not only did the Canadian Prime Minister cave to
- 2:38Speaker 4: President Donald Trump's demand to crack down on fetanyl trafficking
- 2:42Speaker 4: and to reinforce the Canada US border, but he also
- 2:46Speaker 4: said he's looking for a long term solution to the problem.
- 2:51Speaker 4: You look at Mexico and they, in essence did the
- 2:54Speaker 4: same exact thing, sending ten thousand of their men and
- 2:58Speaker 4: women from the military to the border to actually help
- 3:01Speaker 4: secure it and also going after the fetanyl that is
- 3:04Speaker 4: flowing into this country. There's no denying that this is
- 3:08Speaker 4: a massive victory for safety, security and to.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Get rid of drugs in this country.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Yet the media wanted you to believe that Donald Trump
- 3:16Speaker 4: was being reckless, dangerous and putting your livelihood and the
- 3:20Speaker 4: cost of goods and services at risk, something that JD.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Vance decided was a great moment to mock the media
- 3:27Speaker 4: for doing exactly what I just said.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Now, actually I was in the air. I talked to
- 3:32Speaker 6: the President very briefly about this. He spoke with the
- 3:35Speaker 6: President of Mexico this morning, and the President of Mexico
- 3:38Speaker 6: committed to putting ten thousand additional Mexican troops on that
- 3:42Speaker 6: southern border, our southern border, of course, the Mexican's northern border,
- 3:46Speaker 6: to take law enforcement more seriously, to go after those
- 3:48Speaker 6: Mexican drug cartels a little bit more aggressively. So for
- 3:51Speaker 6: literally three days I heard the far left in this
- 3:55Speaker 6: country say that these tariffs would make americans lives worse off.
- 4:00Speaker 6: So what actually happened is the Mexican government was so
- 4:02Speaker 6: afraid of the tariffs that they actually are taking their
- 4:05Speaker 6: border enforcement and their anti cartel activity more seriously. That
- 4:09Speaker 6: is not a pathway to making Americans worse off. That's
- 4:12Speaker 6: a pathway to making Americans better off.
- 4:14Speaker 4: If the media was being intellectually honest and not slandering
- 4:17Speaker 4: and attacking the President Donald Trump, they would have told
- 4:21Speaker 4: you the American people this Donald Trump was leveraging tariffs
- 4:25Speaker 4: for national security, and the use of these tariffs has
- 4:28Speaker 4: been an effective negotiating tool to secure commitments from these
- 4:33Speaker 4: trading partners addressing the critical issues like drug trafficking and
- 4:37Speaker 4: border security. Now the foundation for future agreements has also
- 4:41Speaker 4: been laid because of these tariff threats. The agreements with
- 4:46Speaker 4: Canada and Mexico are now setting a positive precedent for
- 4:49Speaker 4: all future negotiations, potentially leading to more comprehensive trade deals
- 4:54Speaker 4: that benefit the US and in essence all parties involved,
- 4:58Speaker 4: because the President is also make it clear that the
- 5:01Speaker 4: trade deficits are unacceptable. Now, these developments clearly highlight the
- 5:06Speaker 4: administration's efforts to use economic measures strategically to enhance our
- 5:12Speaker 4: national security and promote favorable trade conditions with our neighbors.
- 5:18Speaker 4: At the end of the day, Donald Trump was right,
- 5:21Speaker 4: and it took less than thirty six hours to prove
- 5:24Speaker 4: to the world and to the bias media and to
- 5:27Speaker 4: the Democrats that he understands the art.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Of the deal.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Now story number two.
- 5:33Speaker 4: When Donald Trump was running for the presidency the second time,
- 5:36Speaker 4: he made a very clear promise the American people he
- 5:39Speaker 4: was going to go into this government and save your
- 5:42Speaker 4: tax hours from fraud, waste, and abuse. Well, apparently an
- 5:48Speaker 4: awful lot of our tax dours have been going to
- 5:50Speaker 4: all of those categories. When it comes to USAID, a
- 5:54Speaker 4: program that Donald Trump actually liked when he was present
- 5:57Speaker 4: back in twenty sixteen. What did they find this time
- 6:01Speaker 4: after it was radicalized by the Biden Harris administration.
- 6:05Speaker 5: The first from the USA was something that you liked
- 6:07Speaker 5: in some respect. I love the concept. Yeah that's a program.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Sure, I love the concept. But they turned out to
- 6:13Speaker 1: be radical left lunatics and the concept of it is good,
- 6:17Speaker 1: but it's all about the people.
- 6:19Speaker 4: President Donald Trump making it clear USA turned out to
- 6:22Speaker 4: be radical left lunatics.
- 6:24Speaker 5: So what did he do? In response?
- 6:26Speaker 4: USAID staffers were told to stay out of the DC
- 6:30Speaker 4: headquarters after Elon Musk said that Trump agreed to shut
- 6:34Speaker 4: it down, calling it just a ball of worms. The
- 6:38Speaker 4: workers received an email Monday telling them to stay out
- 6:41Speaker 4: of the agency's DC headquarters now. Staffords with the US
- 6:44Speaker 4: Agency for International Development were actually ordered quote it the
- 6:48Speaker 4: direction of agency leadership to work remotely except for personnel
- 6:53Speaker 4: with essential on site and building maintenance functions individually contracted
- 6:59Speaker 4: by senior leadership. This according to an agency wide email
- 7:04Speaker 4: that was sent out. Further guidance will be forthcoming, is
- 7:08Speaker 4: what the email said at the end. Now you may
- 7:11Speaker 4: ask yourself why such a massive reaction from the White House. Well,
- 7:15Speaker 4: the media, of course said this was an overreaction, and
- 7:18Speaker 4: Democrats went to USA and stormed the building almost like
- 7:22Speaker 4: it was an insurrection. Well, they brought receipts at the
- 7:26Speaker 4: White House, as the White House Press Secretary let the
- 7:28Speaker 4: American people know exactly why they decided it's time to
- 7:33Speaker 4: shut it all down.
- 7:34Speaker 2: And here's the reason why Elon Musk and others have
- 7:37Speaker 2: been taking a look, because if you look at the
- 7:38Speaker 2: waste and abuse that has run through USAID over the
- 7:42Speaker 2: past several years, these are some of the insane priorities
- 7:45Speaker 2: that that organization has been spending money on. One point
- 7:48Speaker 2: five million dollars to advance DEI in Serbia's workplaces, seventy
- 7:54Speaker 2: thousand for a production of a DEI musical in Ireland,
- 7:57Speaker 2: forty seven thousand for a transgender off brought in Colombia,
- 8:01Speaker 2: thirty two thousand for a transgender comic book in Peru.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but as an American taxpayer,
- 8:07Speaker 2: I don't want my dollars going towards this scrap, and
- 8:09Speaker 2: I know the American people don't either. And that's exactly
- 8:11Speaker 2: what Elon Musk has been tasked by President Trump to
- 8:14Speaker 2: do to get the fraud, waste and abuse out of
- 8:16Speaker 2: our federal government.
- 8:17Speaker 4: And that, my friends, is what you call bringing the receipts.
- 8:21Speaker 4: The list of just some of the waste and abuse
- 8:25Speaker 4: at USAID that DOGE had been working on eliminating.
- 8:29Speaker 5: That list is just some highlights.
- 8:32Speaker 4: They apparently are finding even more abuse of your tax
- 8:35Speaker 4: dollars being used for the most ridiculous things. You could
- 8:39Speaker 4: imagine that forty seven thousand for a transgender opera in Colombia.
- 8:44Speaker 4: No one, whether a Republican or Democrats, should be in
- 8:47Speaker 4: favor of that, thirty two thousand for transgender comic books
- 8:51Speaker 4: in Peru. None of our money should be going to
- 8:53Speaker 4: comic books in Peru ever period. And the one point
- 8:57Speaker 4: five million to advance Dei in Serbia's workplaces. The real
- 9:02Speaker 4: question now people should be asking is who was on
- 9:06Speaker 4: the take when the money went to these different countries.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Where did the money actually end up? Did seventy thousand
- 9:13Speaker 4: actually really go to production of a Dei musical in
- 9:16Speaker 4: Ireland or with someone just taking that money funneling that
- 9:21Speaker 4: money that I have a feeling is what Elon Musk
- 9:24Speaker 4: is going to dig into next. But let me say
- 9:26Speaker 4: this it's clear that Trump administration is not just stopping
- 9:30Speaker 4: with DEI. They're not just stopping with USAID. They're not
- 9:35Speaker 4: stopping with anywhere in the government where they see waste
- 9:39Speaker 4: and abuse and the abuse of our tax dollars that
- 9:42Speaker 4: we work so hard for being sent all over the world.
- 9:46Speaker 5: And lastly, story number three.
- 9:48Speaker 4: So let's be very clear about one thing we've learned
- 9:50Speaker 4: about the Democrats over the last two weeks as Donald
- 9:53Speaker 4: Trump has been president. They are not going to sit
- 9:57Speaker 4: down and just honor the American people's wishes. A perfect
- 10:02Speaker 4: example of this is the New Jersey Democratic Governor Phil
- 10:06Speaker 4: Murphy sticking his finger in the eye of the Trump administration,
- 10:11Speaker 4: giving the middle finger to law and order, and bragging
- 10:16Speaker 4: apparently about harboring an illegal immigrant in his home. Problem is,
- 10:22Speaker 4: it is backfired on him very quickly. The comments that
- 10:26Speaker 4: you're about to hear came from a weekend get together
- 10:29Speaker 4: of a bunch of liberals, and this is what the
- 10:32Speaker 4: New Jersey Democratic governor said.
- 10:35Speaker 7: Tammy and I were talking about. I don't want to
- 10:37Speaker 7: get into too much detail, but there's someone in our
- 10:41Speaker 7: broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the
- 10:46Speaker 7: point that they are trying to get it to and
- 10:50Speaker 7: we said, you know what, let's have her live at
- 10:52Speaker 7: our house above our garage, and good luck to the
- 10:55Speaker 7: Feds coming in to try to get her.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It didn't take long for his staff to then claim
- 11:01Speaker 4: that he was actually incorrectly saying that an illegal immigrant
- 11:06Speaker 4: was staying at his home. Why because the video went
- 11:11Speaker 4: viral and Tom Homan was asked about on John Handy's show,
- 11:15Speaker 4: and this is what he had to say in response, I've.
- 11:18Speaker 7: Gotten hold of it.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Won't let it go.
- 11:20Speaker 7: We'll look into it. And if he's normally normally harbor
- 11:23Speaker 7: and concealing an illegulian, that's a violation on ty the
- 11:26Speaker 7: way in I stays quote thirteen twenty four, I will
- 11:28Speaker 7: seek prosecution or the secretary will seek prosecution.
- 11:31Speaker 5: So maybe he's bluffing.
- 11:33Speaker 7: If he's not, we'll deal with that.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Maybe he's bluffing, Well, that is exactly what the staff
- 11:39Speaker 4: is hoping you will believe. Here is what they said
- 11:42Speaker 4: to the media late last night. Phil Murphy's rep is
- 11:46Speaker 4: now claiming that the New Jersey governor is quote not
- 11:49Speaker 4: sheltering a migrant aka and illegal immigrant at his home,
- 11:53Speaker 4: despite daring the feds to quote unquote try to get her.
- 11:56Speaker 4: The New Jersey Governor's office is quote furiously fighting back
- 12:01Speaker 4: at the governor's comments boasting that he had opened his
- 12:04Speaker 4: home to the illegal immigrant. The rep is telling the
- 12:07Speaker 4: New York Post that the Looselip Jersey leader had been
- 12:11Speaker 4: misinterpreted quote unquote, and that no such situation had occurred,
- 12:16Speaker 4: even though Murphy had dared the FEDS to come after
- 12:19Speaker 4: the illegal immigrant. Now in the media, press for a
- 12:23Speaker 4: clarification a little bit more than what they were saying.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Here is the final response from the staff. Quote, no
- 12:29Speaker 4: one ever lived in the home under those circumstances that
- 12:33Speaker 4: the governor clearly described. The representative insisted the moral of
- 12:38Speaker 4: the story. You may not have to take the governor's
- 12:40Speaker 4: word for it, after all, as Tom Holman and Ice
- 12:43Speaker 4: are preparing quite possibly to go take a look at
- 12:46Speaker 4: Governor Murphy's home.
