- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in it, not me through good to other. Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta turn hur You gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out, turn you love, got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out, to turn turn the water to the water.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You come, come on your baby, uh huh. I show
- 2:03Speaker 1: will a good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on, dig me now one it only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. You know. I think I ought
- 2:12Speaker 1: to explain something to y'all. You know when I when
- 2:15Speaker 1: I wake up in the morning and I say, dig me, now,
- 2:19Speaker 1: what I'm asking you to do is it's old school,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you know, man, And you know you say old people
- 2:23Speaker 1: people say I dig you know Dad, never stop saying it. Sorry,
- 2:29Speaker 1: but dig me now. It's just I want you to
- 2:31Speaker 1: I don't you really feel me? I don't you to
- 2:34Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying, because really, this morning inspiration is
- 2:38Speaker 1: all given in the spirit of sharing and love. It
- 2:41Speaker 1: ain't about to expose me in any way. That's not
- 2:45Speaker 1: the purpose of it. But I found that in my
- 2:48Speaker 1: morning inspiration that it's best that I use some things
- 2:51Speaker 1: about myself, because I mean, what better example can I use?
- 2:54Speaker 1: Because I know me, I know what's happened to me.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I knew exactly how I felt all along the way
- 3:00Speaker 1: way concerning almost everything, every aspect of my life. I
- 3:04Speaker 1: now fully do really understand why God had my life
- 3:09Speaker 1: spend the way it spun. And here's the part that
- 3:12Speaker 1: I want to give to you this morning, that first
- 3:14Speaker 1: of all, whatever position you find yourself in today, we
- 3:18Speaker 1: kind of come to one realization that we got ourselves there.
- 3:22Speaker 1: We put ourselves there by a series of thoughts and actions.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Thoughts turn into things. That's very important to know. So
- 3:33Speaker 1: let's look at both sides of it. For people who
- 3:35Speaker 1: think negative thoughts, it turns into negative things, and the
- 3:43Speaker 1: direct opposite is true for those who think positive thoughts,
- 3:48Speaker 1: it turns into positive things. That's the deal. It's as
- 3:54Speaker 1: simple as that, folks. I cannot break it down any cleaner,
- 4:00Speaker 1: I cannot make it any clearer. Thoughts become things. So
- 4:06Speaker 1: the one glaring question for all of us always is
- 4:10Speaker 1: on a daily basis, what are you thinking? What are
- 4:13Speaker 1: your thoughts? What are you thinking? What are your thoughts?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Because I can assure you. And it's not by or
- 4:23Speaker 1: promise of mind. This is not a theory that Steve
- 4:27Speaker 1: Harvey then came up with. This is a fact of life.
- 4:32Speaker 1: This is biblical, this is spiritual, this is written, this
- 4:37Speaker 1: is philosophical. This is the law of the universe. However,
- 4:41Speaker 1: you need to drink this medicine to take to get
- 4:44Speaker 1: it down and feel what I'm saying to you. This
- 4:47Speaker 1: is just the way it is now and here the
- 4:49Speaker 1: cold part, folks, It don't matter if you believe me
- 4:54Speaker 1: or not. It does not matter if you have never
- 4:58Speaker 1: been explained or not. And it does not matter if
- 5:03Speaker 1: you think it works in your life or not. It
- 5:06Speaker 1: don't matter. Listen to me. It is the way it is.
- 5:10Speaker 1: It is as scriptural, it is as spiritual, it is philosophical,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it's just whatever. It's the law of the universe. You
- 5:18Speaker 1: call whatever you want call. However, you got to dress
- 5:21Speaker 1: this thing up to put it into phase that you
- 5:24Speaker 1: can feel me. I want you to feel me now,
- 5:26Speaker 1: because this all it is. So. When I say that
- 5:30Speaker 1: you are where we are today because we thought ourselves here,
- 5:34Speaker 1: or your best to believe that's true. You thought yourself here.
- 5:38Speaker 1: No one else see. Let me explain something. I got
- 5:41Speaker 1: people around me who so badly want to take credit
- 5:46Speaker 1: for it, but I don't allow it. But because I
- 5:50Speaker 1: keep pointing to the heavens, I keep pointing and trying
- 5:55Speaker 1: to say it out loud as many times as I
- 5:58Speaker 1: can without being so offensive, that my life is by design,
- 6:04Speaker 1: by grace and mercy, by blessings from God. My life
- 6:09Speaker 1: is because God has seen it to be so. Oh,
- 6:12Speaker 1: but I got plenty of people around me want credit
- 6:14Speaker 1: for it and want you to not give credit to
- 6:18Speaker 1: God and give it to them. I got that. I
- 6:21Speaker 1: got that, But I understand that. See, I understand what
- 6:24Speaker 1: that is. That's a person whose design is to get
- 6:28Speaker 1: the credit. But it's okay. It's so clear to me
- 6:32Speaker 1: what my father was saying to me. Man, I get it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: As I get older and older. He always said to me, son,
- 6:38Speaker 1: everybody come with you, can't go with you. See, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I don't know how people say that in church. You know,
- 6:45Speaker 1: sometimes they go people come into your life for seasons,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and I guess the same thing. You know, they season up,
- 6:51Speaker 1: they're gone, well, you know, and then but then hither
- 6:55Speaker 1: way they try to hold you though, or you're gonna
- 6:57Speaker 1: forget where you come from. Oh you ain't gonna keep
- 7:00Speaker 1: it real no more. I don't want to go back
- 7:04Speaker 1: where I come from. I don't want to keep it
- 7:06Speaker 1: that real no more. It was real enough for me
- 7:09Speaker 1: living in a car. I had enough of that real.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I don't gonna keep it real now. I don't keep
- 7:14Speaker 1: it real. I want to go keep it dreamy. I
- 7:16Speaker 1: want to go keep it, fantasize it. I want. I
- 7:19Speaker 1: want to. I want to keep it out of this world.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I want to keep it off the chain. I want
- 7:23Speaker 1: to keep it moving. I want to keep it ball
- 7:25Speaker 1: and I want to see what that's like. So naw,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I ain't gonna forget why I come from. But you
- 7:30Speaker 1: ain't gonna hold me to that dog. See thoughts become
- 7:34Speaker 1: things all day long? Where's your vision board? Where are
- 7:40Speaker 1: the things that you wan't written down? What do you
- 7:43Speaker 1: think about the most? How grateful are you for what
- 7:47Speaker 1: all God has done for you? Where you at with that?
- 7:51Speaker 1: See here another law? If thoughts become things, Let me
- 7:57Speaker 1: ask you this. If all you thinking about is your debt,
- 8:02Speaker 1: if all you're thinking about is what you ain't got,
- 8:05Speaker 1: If all you thinking about or is all woe is me?
- 8:09Speaker 1: If all you're thinking about is every time I turn around,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm sick. If all you thinking about it's the things
- 8:16Speaker 1: in life that you're lacking. If that's all you're thinking about,
- 8:22Speaker 1: and if thoughts become things, how much debt you think
- 8:27Speaker 1: you're gonna stay in, how much, how much how much
- 8:31Speaker 1: lacking you think you find to feel your life with?
- 8:35Speaker 1: How much most stuff you find to not have because
- 8:38Speaker 1: you keep thinking about it all the time. When you're
- 8:43Speaker 1: gonna be grateful, when you're gonna say thank you, when
- 8:47Speaker 1: it's gonna come out your mouth, man, that I may
- 8:51Speaker 1: not be where I want to be, but I sho
- 8:53Speaker 1: am grateful for what you've given me so far, for
- 8:56Speaker 1: the things I have to day because I don't have
- 8:59Speaker 1: to have these things? You know that does? That then
- 9:02Speaker 1: opens up room for more stuff to come your way?
- 9:05Speaker 1: To be grateful fall. But if you're gonna be ungrateful, man,
- 9:09Speaker 1: let me ask you something. I ain't God, I don't
- 9:12Speaker 1: claim to be, But let me ask you something man,
- 9:15Speaker 1: If you're ungrateful for the things we got, if we
- 9:18Speaker 1: can't show no gratitude for what we have, why would
- 9:22Speaker 1: God give us some most stuff to be ungrateful for?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Why would he do that for tada. Anybody feel me
- 9:30Speaker 1: right now? So when I say come on, y'all, dig
- 9:33Speaker 1: me now, do you understand why I say dig me?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Because I want you to feel me. I want you
- 9:37Speaker 1: to understand and come to the understanding, not saying you ain't.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Because so many people got a deeper understanding than me
- 9:43Speaker 1: about this whole thing. I promise you they do, but
- 9:45Speaker 1: they listen to me. I'm just trying to get you
- 9:48Speaker 1: to walk up in this light, man, so you can
- 9:50Speaker 1: go on with your life and quit tripping yourself out
- 9:52Speaker 1: with your thoughts, because thoughts become things, all right, all
- 9:56Speaker 1: days you're listening. Try Jesus. Yeah, not me. Don't try
- 10:07Speaker 1: me because I throw hands. Try Jesus wrote that please
- 10:18Speaker 1: don't try me because I fight. That is my new anthem,
- 10:29Speaker 1: man anthem, Shirley. I'm telling you it was like the
- 10:33Speaker 1: song now Shirley. I thought they wrote it for me.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I thought, have they watched my stand up over the years?
- 10:43Speaker 1: Do you know how many jokes I didn't wrote about
- 10:46Speaker 1: getting slapped, turning of the cheek, all that standing in
- 10:52Speaker 1: line from heaven? I thought they wrote it for me.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I was honored Toby and Toby and Week we man,

- 14:01Speaker 1: from Sherman and Lafayette, Louisiana, Carlo and the Yellow. It
- 14:06Speaker 1: says Sherman, it says, I'm listen to this I'm a
- 14:10Speaker 1: forty year old black man dating a thirty two year
- 14:15Speaker 1: old white woman. My girlfriend's mother lives with her, and
- 14:19Speaker 1: she openly detests interracial dating. Saturday, my girlfriend and I
- 14:24Speaker 1: were grilling at her place and her mom was sitting
- 14:27Speaker 1: outside talking on the phone. She casually said, black Lives
- 14:31Speaker 1: Matter is a bunch of n word bs. My girlfriend
- 14:38Speaker 1: was embarrassed, and she immediately addressed her mom and asked
- 14:41Speaker 1: her to go in the house. So, before I get
- 14:44Speaker 1: serious with this woman, should I take into consideration that
- 14:46Speaker 1: her mom's a racist or focus on the fact that
- 14:49Speaker 1: my girlfriend is not. No, no, no, no, no, Now,
- 14:55Speaker 1: just go head on, act like her mom ain't say
- 14:59Speaker 1: it damn thing. Well, you could Funky Holiday's partner. I mean,
- 15:08Speaker 1: you know, dog, look, I mean you can love who
- 15:11Speaker 1: you want to love. There's nothing wrong with that. You
- 15:12Speaker 1: can love who you want to love. But when you
- 15:15Speaker 1: get with these people, you got to get to you
- 15:17Speaker 1: got to get with what comes with him. Now you
- 15:20Speaker 1: are her mama's house. Bobby cute right there. No, he
- 15:24Speaker 1: said grilling. That's what let me know. He wasn't black either.
- 15:27Speaker 1: He said grilling. He didn't say barbecue. I ain't he
- 15:32Speaker 1: ain't black way we want him to be. He said,
- 15:34Speaker 1: grilling really hells Saint grilling buzzn't really what I was
- 15:41Speaker 1: gonna say. But that's what he got out of it. Yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: that's what he took out of it, all of that
- 15:47Speaker 1: little Q Master Junior over there. Yeah, but I mean,
- 15:52Speaker 1: you know, look, you're gonna run into that. It is
- 15:54Speaker 1: what it is. Her family is that way. She's apologize.
- 15:57Speaker 1: If you want to stay with her, that's cool. I
- 15:59Speaker 1: don't see no problem with staying with her. But what
- 16:01Speaker 1: you over to mama's house? Fol Quit going over there.
- 16:03Speaker 1: The mom lives with this girl. The mom lives with them. Oh,
- 16:06Speaker 1: she live with her. Yeah, she lives with My girlfriend's
- 16:10Speaker 1: mother lives with her. And she got your word every day.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Yeah you got over every day? Well I can't. I
- 16:22Speaker 1: can't tell you did you didn't hurt the tip of
- 16:24Speaker 1: the iceberg wait till she drank? I mean, but that
- 16:28Speaker 1: was pretty That was a pretty rough one to start off.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That was pretty. Black Lives Matter is a bunch of
- 16:33Speaker 1: in word bs who that show you who you are?
- 16:39Speaker 1: Who they are? All? Right? Here we go, Clo, Cindy
- 16:42Speaker 1: and only Maryland says, I mean twenty six year old
- 16:44Speaker 1: married woman and I got married four months ago. Due
- 16:47Speaker 1: to the pandemic, my husband lost his job and we
- 16:50Speaker 1: weren't able to get our apartment, so I still live
- 16:53Speaker 1: in the apartment I share with my best friend. My
- 16:56Speaker 1: husband and I are back on track financially and bretty
- 16:59Speaker 1: to get our play. But my best friend has a
- 17:02Speaker 1: problem with me moving. She knew the state would come,
- 17:04Speaker 1: so I'm not sure why she's tripping. She told me
- 17:07Speaker 1: that I'm choosing my husband over her, and she's right.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I thought she was just she she was trying to
- 17:13Speaker 1: find another roommate all along. Am I wrong to leave
- 17:15Speaker 1: her like this? What? Yeah, she's so you have to leave, y'all.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Can't stay in that apartment with her. Marriage is a
- 17:26Speaker 1: two hands circle, young lady. Don't let anybody else in it.
- 17:29Speaker 1: You and your husband go get your apartment and start
- 17:31Speaker 1: y'all life. You can't stay with this girl fell and
- 17:34Speaker 1: don't let her guilt you. Man. If y'all truly friends,
- 17:37Speaker 1: be friends or are you truly just a paycheck? Whoa? Whoa?
- 17:43Speaker 1: Or best friends? Said? Yeah, you're saying she's not wrong
- 17:47Speaker 1: to leave her and go with her husband? Oh hell not?
- 17:49Speaker 1: You You be wrong to stay seriously all right, Steve,
- 17:53Speaker 1: we're moving on. Clo Lee in Ohio, says, My wealthy
- 17:58Speaker 1: great uncle died in a role and he named his
- 18:01Speaker 1: daughters as his beneficiaries, so they split his money. He
- 18:05Speaker 1: had a nice graveside service, and a few months after
- 18:08Speaker 1: he was buried, a bill came from the funeral home
- 18:11Speaker 1: and there was still a considerable balance ode for his
- 18:14Speaker 1: casket and headstone. One of the daughters was ready to
- 18:18Speaker 1: split the bill, but the other daughters spent her money
- 18:20Speaker 1: to pay off her house and credit cards. The other
- 18:23Speaker 1: sister told her to use one of her credit cards
- 18:25Speaker 1: to pay her half. She refused. I think it's partly
- 18:29Speaker 1: her responsibility too. How should they handle this? Okay? What
- 18:36Speaker 1: relationship is the girls? To him? She's a cousin. It
- 18:40Speaker 1: sounds like her her wealthy great uncle died. Well, you know, bro,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I mean, what can you do. You can go down
- 18:50Speaker 1: and suggest what you want to, but it's on them.
- 18:54Speaker 1: This is what happened when when you get money involved
- 18:58Speaker 1: in depth, it's some ignorant stuff. To get his ignorant
- 19:01Speaker 1: stuff that happened. What you're tripping about it for whatever? Yeah? Yeah, wow,
- 19:12Speaker 1: problem we had to pay before we got anything. Yeah,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I didn't even know you were allowed to pay the
- 19:17Speaker 1: plans with him. Remember I told you, Yeah, the body
- 19:20Speaker 1: won't be at the service, hello, before before they roll
- 19:25Speaker 1: the body in, before we get paid the casket in
- 19:29Speaker 1: the headstone. Yes, but isn't that different. The headstone is
- 19:34Speaker 1: the cemetery and the casket is the funeral home. Isn't
- 19:37Speaker 1: that different? That's two different bills. Yeah, well they just
- 19:43Speaker 1: got sometimes can be one. Yeah, yeah, and they sometimes
- 19:47Speaker 1: the funeral home can actually own the property too, that
- 19:50Speaker 1: you're being buried on. Okay, So Steve, you think the
- 19:54Speaker 1: cousin should what stay out of it and let let
- 19:58Speaker 1: her cousin? I mean, look the girl and said she'd
- 20:01Speaker 1: spent all her money. Girl, say you are? You are
- 20:05Speaker 1: to put it on your credit card so we can
- 20:08Speaker 1: split this. That seems to be the right thing to do.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And if she don't want to do that, how can
- 20:12Speaker 1: you make her? Yeah? Flag, but man, she got her
- 20:18Speaker 1: money and went quick and paid everything. At least the
- 20:23Speaker 1: other sister paid off her house. At least she did that.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Getting the heads paid, they got the cream made him
- 20:29Speaker 1: surely no he's buried? They no, No, he going That's
- 20:34Speaker 1: why they want the money. Oh, they're gonna dig him up.
- 20:37Speaker 1: You know what, You're gonna give me my money. Now,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you're gonna pay me now, they don't play. Tommy coming

- 21:14Speaker 1: in Wyoming? Yeah, we'll talk about that, and Megan the

- 33:08Speaker 1: shut up? What was your burger? What was your burger?
- 33:11Speaker 1: Dairy Queen Nat, I went there for the blizzards, okay,
- 33:16Speaker 1: just desserts. Yes, I went to Wendy's for the Frosty's.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I got to win for the frosty alright, alright, God,

- 33:45Speaker 1: While masked and socially distanced, they joined House Speaker Nancy
- 33:48Speaker 1: Pelosi and saying goodbye to Congressman John Lewis. John was
- 33:55Speaker 1: revered and beloved on both sides of the aisle, on
- 34:00Speaker 1: both sides of the capital. We knew that he always
- 34:03Speaker 1: worked on the side of the angels, and now we
- 34:06Speaker 1: know that he is with them. Representative Lewis died a
- 34:09Speaker 1: little over a week ago from pancreatic cancer. At age eighty.
- 34:12Speaker 1: The civil Rights icon lies in state today for the
- 34:15Speaker 1: second day at the US Capitol. He's to be funeralized
- 34:18Speaker 1: in Atlanta on Thursday. Yesterday was reported that a cafeteria
- 34:21Speaker 1: worker at the White House test had positive for the coronavirus,
- 34:25Speaker 1: and now it's National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien. O'Brien is
- 34:28Speaker 1: the most senior member of the Trump administration to test
- 34:30Speaker 1: positive for COVID nineteen. O'Brien said to be now working
- 34:34Speaker 1: from home from a secure location off site. Also reports
- 34:37Speaker 1: that President Trump's running around with a mask now. Last
- 34:40Speaker 1: night's Miami Marlins Homeowner and Are against Baltimore was postponed
- 34:43Speaker 1: because of a coronavirus outbreak. About a dozen players reportedly
- 34:47Speaker 1: tested positive on the Marlins. They were supposed to host
- 34:50Speaker 1: the Orioles, but they called it off in stayed in Pennsylvania.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Stay tuned to that here. This as President Trump continues
- 34:56Speaker 1: to urge the nation's schools to fully reopen next month,
- 34:59Speaker 1: reports are the the school attended by his youngest son, Baron,
- 35:02Speaker 1: is not planning to open up again fully in September
- 35:05Speaker 1: out of concern over COVID nineteen. Saint Andrew's Episcopal School
- 35:09Speaker 1: in suburban Maryland sent a letter to their parents stating
- 35:12Speaker 1: that it was still deciding whether to adopt a hybrid
- 35:15Speaker 1: model for the fall, allowing limited in person teaching or
- 35:19Speaker 1: online instruction only, which was done in the spring. The
- 35:21Speaker 1: President's been threatening, you know, to withhold federal funds from
- 35:24Speaker 1: school districts that don't reopen. According to the US Census Bureau,
- 35:28Speaker 1: four out of every ten household in the US have
- 35:30Speaker 1: not sent in their head count. Starting on Thursday, workers
- 35:33Speaker 1: from the Census Bureau will be handing out conduct and
- 35:36Speaker 1: to conduct socially distance interviews starting this Thursday in some
- 35:40Speaker 1: states like Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, North Dakota to start
- 35:43Speaker 1: out in person. Canvassing set to begin all over the
- 35:46Speaker 1: place August eleventh, depending though on the COVID nineteen infection rates.
- 35:50Speaker 1: It's not only musicians apparently now the Ronald Reagan Presidential
- 35:53Speaker 1: Foundation and Institute calling on President Trump's reelection campaign, as
- 35:57Speaker 1: well as the Republican National Committee to stop using Ronald
- 36:00Speaker 1: Reagan's name and image to raise funds. And yesterday we
- 36:04Speaker 1: mentioned the losses of Regis Philbin and Olivia to Havelin,
- 36:06Speaker 1: but we also lost Brooklyn born actor John Saxon. He
- 36:09Speaker 1: died at age eighty three. He was part of the
- 36:11Speaker 1: Tree Other competed in that kung fu competition in End
- 36:14Speaker 1: of the Dragon Williams and Lee. John Saxon is roper.
- 36:20Speaker 1: He was at for the money. That was roper. Now
- 36:23Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 36:26Speaker 1: Steven show. Well, guys, are we in for a treat?
- 36:33Speaker 1: Our resident poet Junior is here. Oh yeah, Shirley, you're
- 36:38Speaker 1: in for a treat today. Oh oh you got me
- 36:42Speaker 1: see you got you got well, you know, her husband
- 36:50Speaker 1: called me Sia. Can I put some words together? Oh? Who? Husband?
- 36:56Speaker 1: Shah something together and put this together for Shirless. So
- 37:03Speaker 1: I did. And it's affectionately called Shirley's birthday poem. That's all.
- 37:07Speaker 1: It's called me favor? What's that up? Be as disappointing
- 37:15Speaker 1: as you usually are, Come on for the shock of
- 37:18Speaker 1: the day, don't Shirley's Birthday poem? Good on? Shirley Strawberry.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Shirtless Strawberry, you're the type of woman every man wants
- 37:29Speaker 1: to marry. Today's show birthday and that might be scary
- 37:33Speaker 1: because you're getting kind of old and you can't eat dairy,
- 37:38Speaker 1: better than grapes and better than mangoes. So let's Netflix
- 37:41Speaker 1: and chill and watch the reruns of The Django because
- 37:46Speaker 1: you better than cherries or apples and lemons. You're smart
- 37:49Speaker 1: and more classic than all other women's. Black of the berry,
- 37:53Speaker 1: the sweeter the juice. You may be getting older, but
- 37:55Speaker 1: you're still really cute. D end Happy birthday, Shirty, which
- 38:00Speaker 1: you say women's That poem was so wrong. Women thought
- 38:09Speaker 1: that didn't say any of that, and he feel I
- 38:16Speaker 1: was old. I know I'm not young. I didn't say that.
- 38:20Speaker 1: This is so let me ask you something to you
- 38:26Speaker 1: did lemons and mangoes and chair because of fruit, because
- 38:29Speaker 1: of yah, that's eye was on a fruit thing. I
- 38:31Speaker 1: had nothing else. Really, I said this is gonna have
- 38:33Speaker 1: to work nest though, and he agreed, so you know
- 38:38Speaker 1: what he kind of was moving. He actually getting the
- 38:40Speaker 1: frame for you today. It's one of your I don't
- 38:43Speaker 1: want you to feel like you did. You're going to
- 38:45Speaker 1: read just every day, all right, Okay, do it one
- 38:48Speaker 1: more time. Maybe I didn't feel at the first you
- 38:50Speaker 1: didn't get it because your last name of fruit, shirty strawberry,
- 38:55Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry, you're the type of win ever, You're the
- 38:57Speaker 1: type of woman every man wants to marry. The day
- 39:00Speaker 1: is your birthday, and that might be scary because you're

- 39:38Speaker 1: come on, all right, thank you, Junior. Yea happy birthday
- 39:42Speaker 1: to me. Coming up with thirty four minutes after the
- 39:47Speaker 1: hour more of the Seed Harvey Morning Show. Right after this,
- 39:52Speaker 1: you're listening to Morning show. Yesterday the funeral procession for
- 39:58Speaker 1: Civil Rights Icon Congress when John Lewis passed at the
- 40:02Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, d C. Congressman Lewis's
- 40:07Speaker 1: body will lie in state at the US Capitol for
- 40:09Speaker 1: two days before being buried at a private funeral in
- 40:12Speaker 1: Atlanta on Thursday. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Vice President Joe
- 40:17Speaker 1: Biden and his wife, doctor Jill Biden, and several members
- 40:20Speaker 1: of Congress gathered around Representative Lewis's casket to pay their
- 40:24Speaker 1: final respects. The President was not there when asked by
- 40:28Speaker 1: a reporter would he be there, and he said, no,
- 40:31Speaker 1: I'm not going. So the President wasn't there, But Mitch
- 40:34Speaker 1: McConnell was there, and he spoke and he praised John Lewis.
- 40:41Speaker 1: But of course, you know, McConnell has been a synator.
- 40:44Speaker 1: McConnell has been consistently blocking a vote on legislation for
- 40:48Speaker 1: the Voting Rights Act. The John R. Lewis Voting Rights
- 40:52Speaker 1: Act would require that any state with a history of
- 40:55Speaker 1: voting discrimination within the past twenty five years seek federal
- 40:59Speaker 1: approval before making any changes to its voting procedures, and
- 41:05Speaker 1: it would mandate that any state, regardless of its history,
- 41:10Speaker 1: obtain clearance from the Justice Department or a federal court
- 41:13Speaker 1: in Washington, d c. Before making any changes that would
- 41:17Speaker 1: tend to burden voters of color, such as strict voter
- 41:20Speaker 1: id laws or closing polling places in areas, all right.
- 41:25Speaker 1: That is the John Robert Lewis Voting Rights Act. Okay,
- 41:29Speaker 1: And it's been on Synator McConnell's desk for what like
- 41:32Speaker 1: two years or something now, he's been consistently yes, a
- 41:35Speaker 1: long time. Yeah, but you speak at his funeral though, Yeah,
- 41:41Speaker 1: well you know, pocrisy of it all. Here's a deal,
- 41:47Speaker 1: see it, Steve. This is how they are. This is
- 41:51Speaker 1: how they play the game of politics. They whole party line,
- 41:57Speaker 1: yet they claim to respect, honor and love their opponents.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Politics is a cruel and ugly game. And so here's
- 42:08Speaker 1: a man who sits on something that's really to help
- 42:12Speaker 1: voter suppression, but he sits on it because that's the
- 42:16Speaker 1: party line. But he still has respect for John Lewis.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I can accept that better than I can accept this
- 42:30Speaker 1: president with his blatant, open racist, bigoted separatist remarks. At
- 42:40Speaker 1: least act like and it does us no good either way,
- 42:45Speaker 1: But at least man shows some damn decency. As in
- 42:51Speaker 1: the passing of a man, whether you agreed with him
- 42:54Speaker 1: or not, at least respect the fact that he was
- 42:57Speaker 1: who he was, and he might you might not have
- 43:00Speaker 1: agreed with the policies, but damn man. At least respect
- 43:04Speaker 1: the man's hustle, yea his entire life. Yeah, but am
- 43:13Speaker 1: I wrong that if that's a family member mine or
- 43:16Speaker 1: if that's my father, I don't want McConnell speaking at
- 43:20Speaker 1: my daddy's event. I don't want that. I don't even
- 43:23Speaker 1: want you talking because I know you don't respect him
- 43:27Speaker 1: that I don't want you to. Man. Yeah, I understand
- 43:29Speaker 1: what you're saying. You got every right to feel that way.
- 43:32Speaker 1: But they need what what some Republicans do. Not all
- 43:37Speaker 1: Republicans are that way. They respected the man, he hustled
- 43:42Speaker 1: for his party, for his platform. At least give the
- 43:46Speaker 1: man that man respect him, you know, And and that's
- 43:51Speaker 1: it's just a level of respect. Man. You ain't got
- 43:55Speaker 1: to agree with him or like him, but you got
- 43:58Speaker 1: to go wild this dude right here. He was a warrior, Yes,
- 44:03Speaker 1: he was a silver rights icon from his resenting the
- 44:07Speaker 1: king could respect him. Yes, Yes, he's been doing this
- 44:10Speaker 1: since he was twenty. He died when he was eighty.
- 44:13Speaker 1: That's something he gave, he dedicated him to sixty years. Yes,
- 44:17Speaker 1: his entire life ticals So I could vote yes and
- 44:22Speaker 1: thank you, and he is president. No, I'm not going yes,
- 44:26Speaker 1: so even Mitch McConnell no hold of hold who oh,
- 44:29Speaker 1: man that ain't had his work? Yeah, well, I gotta
- 44:31Speaker 1: go say something about this man. That's right. We'll listen.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Register to vote now at when we all vote dot org.
- 44:38Speaker 1: We have ninety nine days until election day in November, Steve,
- 44:43Speaker 1: All right, coming up, NeXT's nephew is here as we
- 44:45Speaker 1: switched gears with today's prank phone call. Right after this,
- 44:49Speaker 1: you're listening to show coming up at the top of
- 44:54Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 44:57Speaker 1: letter for today. The subject I'm well known by a
- 45:01Speaker 1: lot of men. I'm well known by a lot of men. Alright,
- 45:07Speaker 1: all right, that's the subject. But right now the nephew
- 45:10Speaker 1: is in the building with today's praying phone call. What
- 45:12Speaker 1: you got for church parking lot? It's gonna be something ignorant,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I said, church parking line, as you know last year
- 45:30Speaker 1: church parking Let's let's go hello. Oh yeah, Brendan, Hey,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach you. How you doing? Uh? Brand,
- 45:42Speaker 1: I don't want to make sure I got the right person.
- 45:43Speaker 1: You're the person that you work at the first of all,
- 45:47Speaker 1: I go to uh, my name, my name Calvin, brother Calvin.
- 45:51Speaker 1: But I go to Saint Missionary Baptist Church with you. Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 45:56Speaker 1: so everything everything's fine. Well, I got a little issue
- 46:01Speaker 1: and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it. Now.
- 46:04Speaker 1: You work in the before service start. You work in
- 46:08Speaker 1: the parking lot one, yeah, and you tell people where
- 46:13Speaker 1: the parking stuff right right right? What are you looking
- 46:16Speaker 1: for some employment? You want to you want to join us? Nah? Nah?
- 46:20Speaker 1: Nah to see the issue I got, Man, I've been
- 46:23Speaker 1: dealing with this probably about the last two months. Nine. Okay,
- 46:27Speaker 1: hold on, I'm trying to take So the problem is
- 46:29Speaker 1: when I come to the church last couple of months, man,
- 46:33Speaker 1: I've been I've been coming like my my my my
- 46:36Speaker 1: regular card and broke down on me. So I had
- 46:38Speaker 1: a I got an old van that i've been yeah, yeah,
- 46:42Speaker 1: you know, I got a old van and I've been
- 46:43Speaker 1: using to get around in so na for the last
- 46:46Speaker 1: two months. I've been riding in it when I come
- 46:48Speaker 1: to the church. You know you and I find out
- 46:51Speaker 1: who you were, but you keep sending me to the
- 46:55Speaker 1: back of the parking lot and then but you know
- 46:58Speaker 1: I noticed now nah bro no on the reel. So
- 47:01Speaker 1: you're sending me to the back. And I'm noticing when
- 47:03Speaker 1: I see cars as like two thousand and ten, two
- 47:06Speaker 1: thousand fifteen. Well, well we'll listen. We don't have new
- 47:10Speaker 1: uh set place where we put model car, you know.
- 47:13Speaker 1: I just I just direct the traffic. Brother. Okay, So
- 47:16Speaker 1: so you're trying to tell me for the last two
- 47:17Speaker 1: months you just direct traffic, but you got but you
- 47:20Speaker 1: directed me to the back every time. But a car
- 47:24Speaker 1: behind me or car in front of me, it'll be
- 47:26Speaker 1: going to the front. No where you getting this information
- 47:30Speaker 1: from me? I just I haven't seen you man or
- 47:33Speaker 1: send people to the front to park. I haven't seen
- 47:35Speaker 1: you do. Na. No, I just I just put you know,
- 47:38Speaker 1: the bigger vehicles in the in the back and uh
- 47:42Speaker 1: certain you know we it's really no scatter if if
- 47:46Speaker 1: you come in, I just I just direct you to
- 47:47Speaker 1: the right of the left. It's really nothing to it. Really,
- 47:50Speaker 1: So you're not trying to say so so my my
- 47:53Speaker 1: band being raggedy ain't the reason why I'm being Noah

- 49:15Speaker 1: You have done it, haven't. Yes you know I haven't. Yes,
- 49:18Speaker 1: you haven't. You sent all the pretty cards up front,
- 49:20Speaker 1: that's what you're doing. But I tell you what comes
- 49:21Speaker 1: suddenly gonna be a problem. Now you're threatening me. I
- 49:25Speaker 1: mean now, now listen, we can meet up at it.
- 49:27Speaker 1: We can meet up in before any cards get there.
- 49:29Speaker 1: How about that. I don't care how you want to

- 50:06Speaker 1: what it is? No, it's what I know. It's what
- 50:08Speaker 1: I know, Brendan, it's what I know. Okay, you didn't

- 50:34Speaker 1: matter of fact you Okay, if you want to do something,

- 50:45Speaker 1: brother Calvin, you bring dam gonna fold you like a
- 50:48Speaker 1: wet piece of paper. You don't know who you're fucking with. Okay,
- 50:51Speaker 1: I didn't been locked up six seven years. I'm just
- 50:54Speaker 1: in the church try and get my life together. And
- 50:56Speaker 1: you think you're just gonna talk to me. You got
- 50:58Speaker 1: another thing coming, brother, I'm gonna tell you that right now.
- 51:01Speaker 1: So if you want to get it off, meet me
- 51:03Speaker 1: in the parking lot right now. I give you an
- 51:05Speaker 1: hour to get there your piece tonight. Now you're trying
- 51:07Speaker 1: to scare me with your with your background. I know
- 51:11Speaker 1: you're trying to scare me with your background or something like. Ever, then,
- 51:14Speaker 1: I ain't know you have been in jail. What's the
- 51:16Speaker 1: wrong woman. I'm just gonna say this. Do you know
- 51:19Speaker 1: Leicester that that also he also had the cars parking?
- 51:22Speaker 1: Would you try to buy buy yourself out of this?
- 51:25Speaker 1: I'm about to lay you now you're talking about I
- 51:28Speaker 1: know a Lester. Okay, okay, Leicester is the person to
- 51:32Speaker 1: tell me to call you. This is nephew Timmy from
- 51:34Speaker 1: the Steve Harby Morning. Brenda, your boy Leicester in the
- 51:38Speaker 1: parking lot got me the Frank Cary. I brought the
- 51:48Speaker 1: lockdown out of you? Man? Did I bring the lockdown
- 51:50Speaker 1: out of there? Strangle y'all got me out here talking reckless?
- 52:00Speaker 1: Who passed it over here? This boy hanging there, brother?
- 52:04Speaker 1: And then do this for me, man, tell me this.
- 52:06Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 52:08Speaker 1: show in the land? Man is Steve Harvey Radio shown. Hey, man,
- 52:14Speaker 1: if you see somebody's Sunday pull up in a van,
- 52:16Speaker 1: show them some love, baby, show them some love. I
- 52:18Speaker 1: might have to call out this week, but my heart
- 52:21Speaker 1: take it. Some of y'all ballers, you know, y'all can
- 52:29Speaker 1: roll up in your big fans and car. They're gonna
- 52:31Speaker 1: park you up front, you know, because you balling like that.
- 52:34Speaker 1: That's how you roll it. What you know? Some people
- 52:37Speaker 1: just got regular cars and they want to be the
- 52:39Speaker 1: park up front too, in the church parking lot, and
- 52:42Speaker 1: they cut every right for that. Okay, I go, Yeah,
- 52:47Speaker 1: everybody ought to be at the park in the front,
- 52:50Speaker 1: not just you know, because you yeah, you see my car.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Now you're gonna put me in the back. That ain't no, no,
- 52:56Speaker 1: you're gonna put me in the front. I judge my car,
- 53:00Speaker 1: Judge me. You know what you think? Just my light behind.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I'm rolling. I'm bigger than the car. Baby, I understand,
- 53:07Speaker 1: dog my car. You didn't get no damn respect, no love.
- 53:16Speaker 1: You can't give them that power time head light. That's
- 53:21Speaker 1: what they called your car head light. Can I have
- 53:24Speaker 1: a one? I had one headlight about a year, Like
- 53:27Speaker 1: how much stuff wrong? At one time I had some
- 53:30Speaker 1: brakes that had went out, water pad down, so I
- 53:33Speaker 1: didn't have no pads. The calibers was just squeezing against
- 53:38Speaker 1: the disc when I stopped at a light. Man, it
- 53:41Speaker 1: sounds like a train had slammed on people will be
- 53:45Speaker 1: in the crosswalk and started running. I'm talking about man.
- 53:51Speaker 1: You can hear metal on metal. Man, people in the
- 53:53Speaker 1: crosswalk would start running. Man, all right, damn you man,

- 55:15Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. All right, Thank you, nephew. Subject.
- 55:20Speaker 1: I'm well known by a lot of men. Dear Stephen, Shirley.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I'm a forty four year old woman who's been with
- 55:27Speaker 1: a man for five years, and he has had the
- 55:29Speaker 1: same complaint for five years. He always whines about me
- 55:34Speaker 1: knowing too many men. I was raised in the city
- 55:38Speaker 1: we live in, and my father was a prominent businessman,
- 55:41Speaker 1: and my family is well known. When my boyfriend and
- 55:44Speaker 1: I would go out, I'd run into guys that I
- 55:47Speaker 1: grew up with, guys that I work with, went to
- 55:50Speaker 1: high school or college with, etc. These are men that
- 55:53Speaker 1: I've known that these are men that I've never dated
- 55:56Speaker 1: or had sex with. If I mention a man and conversation,
- 56:01Speaker 1: he asked how I knew the how I know the man,
- 56:03Speaker 1: if we've ever dated, and what the nature of our
- 56:05Speaker 1: relationship is. The final straw was a few weeks ago
- 56:09Speaker 1: when we went out to a farmer's market and I
- 56:11Speaker 1: saw a group of guys that went to college with me.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I introduced him to the four guys, and he was
- 56:17Speaker 1: kind of rude when he spoke to them afterwards. He
- 56:21Speaker 1: almost caused a scene. He yelled, I don't want to
- 56:26Speaker 1: date a woman that knows all of the men in town.
- 56:29Speaker 1: He said that I do not understand that men don't
- 56:32Speaker 1: want their women being friendly with men, and that it
- 56:34Speaker 1: makes a woman look easy. He also said it makes
- 56:37Speaker 1: him look bad when I'm so eager to talk to them.
- 56:40Speaker 1: He told me I should speak and move on. He
- 56:44Speaker 1: has actually lectured me on this several times, and about
- 56:48Speaker 1: three years ago he broke up with me over this.
- 56:51Speaker 1: I love this man and I do not want to
- 56:53Speaker 1: lose him over something so silly. I have solid business
- 56:57Speaker 1: relationships with a lot of men. I am tired of
- 57:00Speaker 1: juggling between the man I love and the friends and
- 57:02Speaker 1: associates that I've known for over thirty years. Is this
- 57:05Speaker 1: my problem or his? Do you think our relationship can
- 57:08Speaker 1: withstand this? Or should I let him go be insecure alone? Well,
- 57:14Speaker 1: this is a problem, you know, with both of you guys,
- 57:18Speaker 1: because he's upset that you have so many friends. But
- 57:20Speaker 1: these are your friends, I mean legitimately, and I'd say
- 57:24Speaker 1: you definitely got it right when you mentioned insecure at
- 57:27Speaker 1: the end of your letter. Sarey has a whole show
- 57:30Speaker 1: called Insecure, and your man sounds like he could star
- 57:33Speaker 1: in this show because he's acting a bit childish and insecure.
- 57:38Speaker 1: And why would he put all of that on you
- 57:41Speaker 1: and make you so uncomfortable? I mean, it's humiliating when
- 57:44Speaker 1: you do it in public like that, in front of
- 57:46Speaker 1: your friends. I mean, this is not something you do
- 57:49Speaker 1: to me, to a woman that you love. If you're
- 57:52Speaker 1: not insecure, do you have to go to you know,
- 57:56Speaker 1: through the third degree every time you even speak to
- 57:59Speaker 1: a guy. I mean, I just think it's a bit much.
- 58:02Speaker 1: I mean, you didn't say he has reason to feel
- 58:05Speaker 1: this way about you. I mean, did he catch you
- 58:07Speaker 1: cheating with these guys, kissing them, sexting with any of them?
- 58:12Speaker 1: I mean, you don't mention that at all in your letters.
- 58:15Speaker 1: So I'll just have to assume here that he hasn't
- 58:18Speaker 1: completely grown up yet. I'm sure after five years you
- 58:23Speaker 1: think you know you want to have a future with
- 58:25Speaker 1: this guy, and you say you love him and everything,
- 58:27Speaker 1: but he sounds just way too immature and insecure. I
- 58:31Speaker 1: don't think he's the one for you if he doesn't
- 58:33Speaker 1: want to accept the fact that, like you said, you
- 58:35Speaker 1: grew up there, you went to school with these guys,
- 58:37Speaker 1: You have professional relationships with these people. I mean, doesn't
- 58:41Speaker 1: he understand that you did have a life before him.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Everyone has a past. You sound frustrated and tired here,
- 58:48Speaker 1: not happy and in love as you should be. Above all,
- 58:51Speaker 1: please remember that this is not gonna stop. If you
- 58:53Speaker 1: guys do get married, it's gonna get worse. Probably he
- 58:57Speaker 1: doesn't trust you, that's the issue. He does not trust you,
- 59:00Speaker 1: and he's going to continue to embarrass you sounds like,
- 59:03Speaker 1: or just break up with you like he did before.
- 59:07Speaker 1: I don't know. I think you should either move to
- 59:10Speaker 1: another city where you know no one and start afresh,
- 59:14Speaker 1: or let him go. As I see it, those are
- 59:16Speaker 1: your choices because your man can't handle the truth. Steve,
- 59:20Speaker 1: very good response. Surely, very very good. I see a
- 59:25Speaker 1: lot of the same thing, and let him. But see
- 59:29Speaker 1: she forty four, she's been with to do five years.
- 59:33Speaker 1: He'd been complaining about the same thing. Now. You sent
- 59:36Speaker 1: it up by saying, you was raised in this city,
- 59:39Speaker 1: your father was a prominent business man, you your family famous,
- 59:45Speaker 1: and you run into guys that you grew up with,
- 59:48Speaker 1: work with, went to high school or college with. You
- 59:53Speaker 1: ain't never dated them or had sex with him. Okay, well,
- 59:56Speaker 1: let's slow up. You've never dated them or had sex
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: with you. Forty four, you single, You ain't dating nobody.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: You ain't you ain't been here, you ain't had no body. See.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: The problem is this dude is trying to figure out
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: how he come alone in this town you was raised in,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: grew up in socializing and educated in. He think you fine.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: He trying to figure out how a nobody in all
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: this time to scoop you up. That's where he had
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: with this I'm telling you how he's processing this so
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you can understand. So now he can't understand how he
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: didn't got to catch me out and ain't nobody else
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: wanted unless when we come back, I'll tell you what
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: else he thinking. Okay, all right, I can't wait to
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: hear it. All right, act like a lady, think like
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: the man. I'm an author of that book. You are, sir,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: very good buck. We'll have part two seems response coming
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour, subject I'm
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: well known by a lot of men. We'll get back
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to morning show,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: The subject I'm well known by a lot of men. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: And that's the problem. You've stated in this letter that
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: you're well known, and your boyfriend go out. He's been
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: complaining about the same thing for five years. You know
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: too many men, But these are guys you work with.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Your family was well well known, your famous father was
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: big business man, and you've been in the same city, church, educated, school, everything.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: All right, every time y'all go somewhere, you run up
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: into me and you speak when you're friendly and you
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: never had dated or had sex with him. Now you
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: didn't have to date or have sex with somebody. See,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: this is where your man is having the problem at
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: you keep telling him you ain't dated or had sex
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: with none of them. He trying to figure out how
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: he didn't come to town scooped up the cats me out.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: He thank you fine, and I don't know abody else.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Thank you fine. See that's what the problem is. Now.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Is he insecure? Yes he is, as surely said. But
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: the farmer strugas. A few weeks ago we went out
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: to the farmer's market dawn. They know you're down there too. Yeah,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: so now y'all down at the farmer's market. You saw
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: a group of guys you knew air last one of
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: them too. See this ain't adding up to dog. This
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: is what's wrong because you haven't told him anything or
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: enough about your paths ass where he just been drawing
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: conclusions and he didn't drew a bunch of bad conclusions.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I introduced him to the four guys. He was kind
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: of rude when he spoke to him afterwards. He almost
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: calls it seeing he yelled, I don't want to date
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: the woman, to know everybody, all the dudes in town.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Oh god, Now is he immature? Yes he is, because
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: the problem he's having is, see, instead of realizing that
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: he got the prize and being proud of it and
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: walking around flexing. Instead of realizing he got the prize,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: he too worried about who had the prize. See, and
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: who had the prize is driving his ass crazy, you
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: know why, because he's looking in the real view mirror.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: He can't even see what he got now. He broke
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: up with you three years ago over the same of that,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: and you begged him back, you know. And then he said,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: when you're real friendly, make you look easy. No, being
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: friendly don't make you look easy. It gives men more
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: of the green light, but it don't make you look easy.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: He told me you should speak and move on. Damn dog.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: See See, this ain't really the guy for you. Don't
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: seem like to me. As Shirley said it right, when
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: you get married, it's only gonna get worse. He's actually
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: lectured me on this several times. About three years ago,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: y'all broke up. You know, I don't want to lose
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: him over something this silly, But I got a solid
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: business relationship with a lot of men. See, this is
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: gonna be a problem because you got a lot of men.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: So now let me ask you a question. All them
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: whole lot of men, you ain't seen one better than
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: one you got. I'm just asking. I'm tired of juggling
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: between the man I love and the friends and the
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: associates that I've known for every third years. Now, part
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: of this is your problem to a system. So let
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: me point this out to you sometime. To get what
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: you want, you got to let go of what you had. Now,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: if maintaining all these relationships and friendships is more important
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: to you than the current relationship, than do it now.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I'm not saying he's correcting this, but some of this
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: stuff you might be just a little bit too much.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I don't know you, but you could be and you
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: might be too much for him. Now, some other man
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: might be cool with this hill, but this particular dude
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: right here, with his insecurities and the way he's not
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: looking at you being the prize, he's so worried about
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: who had the prize. Y'all either got to sit around
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: and you got to sit out and explain to him
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: your previous life so he can be comfortable with it
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: because right now he's assuming you've been with everybody. She
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: told him, Steve told him, what these are men that
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I've never dated or had sex with? Well, who have
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: you dated? It? Had sex with? You? See, you can't
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: be from the same downtown dame damntown, No everybody and
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: they had sex or dated no damn body that business
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: because if he gonna make you his wife, he want
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: to know what he's dealing with. And the ain't no dude,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: this is just the male ego, Sherley. No dude wants
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: to walk around thinking some other man that had this girl,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: and even though that probably ain't even the case, he's
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: got securities. But she seems a little bit in this
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: letter the way she wrote this letter, because it's so
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: one sided. She could be little miss bubbly bubbly, flirty, flirty.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: You know, everybody like her. Everybody know that ain't in
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: the letter, but I'm just saying it could. I think
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: she needs to sit the ass down somewhere. She flounces, No,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: you sit out on his airbow. Folks stop touching him.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: All right, Look, we gotta get out of here. Poster
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: comments on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey, you're walking
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: like that and just the way I walk. I got
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: it like that. And check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: on Demands Franks. Now coming up, coming up after the hour,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: junior sports talk. Junior there I said it, coming up
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Here we go, time now for juniors. What is it?
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Sport talk? Surely this is nice sports talk. I'm gonna
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: keep telling you my birthday. Heard its birthday. It's my birthday,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: birthday sports talk today. We'll do it that way, all right. Well,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: here's something that I found out. The beef between Mike
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Tyson and Don King is officially over. Mike Tyson has
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: been calling Don King names publicly over the years. We've
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: heard him, you know, calling him wretchet, slimming, reptilian, blanketed blank,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: blanketed blank. You know. He said all that back in
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: twoy eighteen, Mike Tyson through water on Don King for
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: touching him without permission during the box of the event. Well,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: they talked about the beef is squashed and as for
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Mike's upcoming fight against Roy Jones Junior September. Uh, Don
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: still thinks Tyson is dangerous as ever. So there it is.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I think so too. Yeah, he never did reach for
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: his water bottle. Never did. That's good. Yeah, I'm glad.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: I never knew what the beef was about anyway. Money, money,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: a lot of money, a lot of money. Yeah yeah,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I mean he's just he's You're right, I got my
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: money on now. Roy Jones Junior, bad boy man could
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: laud that boy got hands. He's so far, absolutely a
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: great fight. But there's no way that he could do
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: anything with me. That's not even possible. That I don't
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: even care. Up from fifty three or fifty four, I
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: have all I am to do. I'm gonna knock Roy
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: ass out, even though it's an ex beating whatever they
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: call it. I'm moving Roy whatever they call it. Yeah,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: just like, yeah, you really got him down. Yea one
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: more time, one more time we got we gotta fight
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: coming up, Me and Roy Roy Roy Jones Jr. Whatever
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: we're gonna fight. And people like that, you know when
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: they when they hear at the Beacon, they think we're
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: gonna be playing. No, I'm gonna I'm gonna knock Roy
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: ass out. That's what I'm gonna do. And that's what
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Mike made a living doing. Yeah. The one thing about boxing,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: you can't play fight at all. No, no, because you
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: get the project for charity. When you counter it's for charity.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: I think that's what it's for. I think they're raising
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: money for charity. Somebody getting the ass for new kids?
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Is it only eight months? Did I hear that? Correctly?
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Listen to me that ain't hot his work boxing? You
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: play golf for charity. You know you don't get your
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: assof for some kids took your old ass ring. I'm
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: fighting for these children. You ain't gonna be here to
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: see him grow up. Mike does seem like he's ready,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: though I've seen it all right, Thank you, Junior. Coming
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, do you think

- 1:11:31Speaker 1: your monica, all of that? All right? Um, so I
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: was saying Steve that I saw Junior out and about
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: he was shopping on Saturday. I think we met up
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: at Target. Junior. Well, y'all out, what is that? What
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: is that you have to go to the store occasionally?

- 1:14:51Speaker 1: going to have to be because people won't wear masks.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: If we would wear our masks in social distance, that
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: would cut a lot of this down. We wouldn't everything down,

- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I know, I'm not young. I didn't say that. This
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: is what this is that you did lemons and mangoes
