- 0:04Speaker 1: Y'all know what time to y'all don't know y'all bag
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on looking back to back down, giving the
- 0:13Speaker 1: mo like the mozing buck bus things and it's cobles
- 0:19Speaker 1: me true good to tete how listening to me? To
- 0:26Speaker 1: other for stoo bar quickly to listen by don't you join? Yeah?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Yeah by joining with men said go turn be hurt
- 1:06Speaker 1: in the long. Yeah, very you gotta turn to turn
- 1:42Speaker 1: turn lobby, got to turn out to turn. Want come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing? Got it? Uh huh, good morning everybody.
- 2:03Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me na
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey, I got a radio show, yeah, man,
- 2:13Speaker 1: real grateful for that. You know, it's funny man. I
- 2:16Speaker 1: remember when I um first started out in radio. A
- 2:19Speaker 1: lot of my peers laughed at me. It was, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: some of it was being mean spirited. Some of it
- 2:27Speaker 1: was just you know, marking me. I'm used to stuff
- 2:30Speaker 1: like that. But I had as a special guest on
- 2:34Speaker 1: my show, Joel Oldstein on my talk show and you
- 2:37Speaker 1: know something, man, he he said something that was I
- 2:40Speaker 1: can't remember the scripture. I don't know exactly how I where.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Like we were having a long conversation, But the gist
- 2:47Speaker 1: of it was, don't be upset with where you are now,
- 2:50Speaker 1: and don't be upset with the small things in your life.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Be grateful for the small things and the small position
- 2:57Speaker 1: that you have right now, because you don't know where
- 2:59Speaker 1: that's going. You don't know what that's gonna be one day.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You don't know what that's gonna lead to. And that
- 3:03Speaker 1: was very uh warming to hear him say that, But
- 3:08Speaker 1: it also reminded me of when I started in radio,
- 3:11Speaker 1: how small it was. It reminded me of when I
- 3:14Speaker 1: started in stand up making twenty five dollars a show.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It reminded me of the cause I used to drive
- 3:23Speaker 1: and the cause I didn't have. It reminds me of
- 3:28Speaker 1: not having a home at a period in my life
- 3:32Speaker 1: and what God has allowed me to live in now.
- 3:36Speaker 1: So don't be distraught over your position now and don't
- 3:42Speaker 1: be ungrateful or unappreciative for the things you have now
- 3:46Speaker 1: because you don't know what that's gonna grow into. And
- 3:48Speaker 1: that's really the gist of what he got that I
- 3:51Speaker 1: that I got from what he was saying. I just
- 3:53Speaker 1: wanted to share that with you, that where you are now,
- 3:56Speaker 1: it's so temporary. Because now, like I've said before, I
- 4:00Speaker 1: was a fleeting moment. As soon as you say now,
- 4:03Speaker 1: right after you finished saying now, that moment that you
- 4:07Speaker 1: claimed as now, that's gone. So the where you are
- 4:11Speaker 1: now it's a very fleeting process. Now you can change
- 4:16Speaker 1: where you are now, and you can change how you
- 4:19Speaker 1: feel about where you're at now, and you can change
- 4:22Speaker 1: about where you're going by simply changing your mind. It
- 4:27Speaker 1: is no difference. I'm telling you, folks. The thing that
- 4:30Speaker 1: I've learned about successful people is not so much what
- 4:34Speaker 1: they do. It's not what they have, is not how
- 4:39Speaker 1: I see them functioning. The biggest thing I've learned about
- 4:43Speaker 1: successful people is how they think. That's the thing that's different.
- 4:49Speaker 1: It's how they think. And I'm telling you that you
- 4:52Speaker 1: can change the way you think on any subject and
- 4:56Speaker 1: start becoming successful towards that starting now, and that you
- 5:02Speaker 1: have to understand that. Man, the biggest difference I've noticed
- 5:06Speaker 1: between successful people and non successful people is how they think.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I was reading what is God said that he was
- 5:15Speaker 1: taught all wrong about money. He said that his father
- 5:19Speaker 1: was very negative about money. He all throughout his life
- 5:22Speaker 1: he heard his father to say, you know, people who
- 5:25Speaker 1: got money have walked on somebody to get it, or
- 5:28Speaker 1: cheated somebody to get it. People who have money, money
- 5:31Speaker 1: is the root of all evil. Money is money is this,
- 5:34Speaker 1: And people who got money, you know, don't deserve it.
- 5:38Speaker 1: They've done something wrong to get it, y'ad, y'all. So
- 5:40Speaker 1: he said, he grew up the whole time thinking that
- 5:43Speaker 1: having money was something was wrong with that. He discovered
- 5:46Speaker 1: that it wasn't. You know. Now, Look, you can choose
- 5:51Speaker 1: to be successful in any way you want to. I've
- 5:53Speaker 1: chosen several ways to be successful. I want to be
- 5:56Speaker 1: a very very successful father. I think that's one of
- 6:00Speaker 1: the things that's paramount in my life that I really
- 6:03Speaker 1: am working hard right now to become a successful father.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Not a successful father in terms of money, but a
- 6:11Speaker 1: successful father in terms of offering the amount of love
- 6:16Speaker 1: and guidance and leadership and the example that my children
- 6:20Speaker 1: need to look at. And that's what I'm really really
- 6:22Speaker 1: working hard at now. I want to be successful as
- 6:25Speaker 1: a father, but also I want to be successful as
- 6:28Speaker 1: a husband. You know. I want Marjorie to always know
- 6:31Speaker 1: that she can count on me, that to not have
- 6:33Speaker 1: to wonder about me, a look for me you know,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I want her to feel secure in the fact that
- 6:39Speaker 1: I really have gotten it right, that I really am
- 6:43Speaker 1: focused on being a good husband to her, because it
- 6:47Speaker 1: means so much to me, having gone through everything I've
- 6:50Speaker 1: gone through and having God to have at this stage
- 6:53Speaker 1: of my life giving me such a wonderful gift. I
- 6:56Speaker 1: want to want to show her how much I appreciate it. Uh.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You know. So I'm working hard on a lot of levels.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I'm working hard and trying very strong to be a
- 7:05Speaker 1: successful motivator of people. I want to be a share
- 7:09Speaker 1: of information to people that will uplift others and give
- 7:13Speaker 1: others the same things that I've learned through the trials
- 7:16Speaker 1: and tribulations of my life. But at the same time
- 7:20Speaker 1: share that information and use the power this microphone to
- 7:24Speaker 1: uplift people, you know, not to destroy. My show is
- 7:26Speaker 1: not about guess what's going? So said, guess what's going?
- 7:29Speaker 1: And so did. I don't like mean spirited things about people,
- 7:33Speaker 1: you know. I joke with people calling this that's another thing.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But I don't like destroying people with the power to microphone.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So working very hard on being successful in a lot
- 7:41Speaker 1: of areas of my life now. Also, I do care
- 7:44Speaker 1: about being financially successful too, because my father the one
- 7:49Speaker 1: one of the gifts he gave me was very simple gift.
- 7:52Speaker 1: He told me a long time ago. He said, son,
- 7:54Speaker 1: the best thing you can do for poor people is
- 7:57Speaker 1: not be one of them, and stuck with me. And
- 8:01Speaker 1: this was a hard working man who was a coal
- 8:04Speaker 1: miner who worked construction his entire life. My father didn't
- 8:08Speaker 1: have an easy life man. My father didn't sit behind
- 8:11Speaker 1: the microphone. My father didn't come to work and people
- 8:14Speaker 1: cheered for him. My father wasn't famous. My father was
- 8:18Speaker 1: just a go get it dude. That he instilled that
- 8:22Speaker 1: in me. And I've taken that and applied it to
- 8:24Speaker 1: my craft and I thank God for him for that.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But I do try to be financially successful so that
- 8:30Speaker 1: I can do some things with it to help some
- 8:32Speaker 1: other people. Now, am I opposed to having nice things? No?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Do I apologize for having nice things? No? And why
- 8:39Speaker 1: should I I work? I work? You know, I'm done.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm not and I'm not on the radio asking to
- 8:45Speaker 1: give me money, you know, so I can go buy
- 8:47Speaker 1: a car. I'm working. So I don't feel how you
- 8:51Speaker 1: want to feel. And other people do feel that way
- 8:53Speaker 1: about it. But if success in terms of finance it's
- 8:57Speaker 1: what you're lacking, you can go about the business of
- 8:59Speaker 1: doing Now. I'm writing a book, and that whole book
- 9:02Speaker 1: is about teaching people how to become successful. And Man,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'm breaking it down in a way where everybody can
- 9:09Speaker 1: get it, man, because I want the college student to
- 9:12Speaker 1: get it, you know, I want I want the working
- 9:15Speaker 1: mom to get it, the single mom to get it,
- 9:17Speaker 1: the the the hard working father that has been trying
- 9:21Speaker 1: to hold his family together can get it. The father
- 9:24Speaker 1: that ain't ever got it together and feel that because
- 9:27Speaker 1: of that reason, he can't be the father he needs
- 9:29Speaker 1: to be. I'm writing something, man, to put it into words,
- 9:32Speaker 1: to let you know that God is a forgiving God,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and that God is a merciful God, and that God
- 9:40Speaker 1: can get you out of any situation you find yourself in.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You just can't beat yourself up every time you make
- 9:46Speaker 1: a mistake. I make mistakes all the time, Man, I
- 9:49Speaker 1: just got to remind myself to get up. I ask
- 9:51Speaker 1: God for forgiveness, I call on his mercy and his
- 9:55Speaker 1: grace and I get up and I go again. But
- 9:57Speaker 1: it's coming, man, And the finance success is what you want.
- 10:00Speaker 1: You got to change your mind. You got to start
- 10:03Speaker 1: thinking about how to produce it. You got what you
- 10:06Speaker 1: gotta just this is not what you do first. The
- 10:08Speaker 1: first thing you do is you gotta ask. You gotta
- 10:11Speaker 1: ask ask to have a life and have a life
- 10:16Speaker 1: more abundantly. That's a scripture that he comes to you
- 10:21Speaker 1: to give you life and to give you life more abundantly.
- 10:24Speaker 1: That's the scripture. That ain't a joke, that ain't a theory.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That's a fact, and the fact that if you don't
- 10:31Speaker 1: have a life of abundance, you can get that by asking.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Now follow the rest of it, But it starts by asking.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Then it starts by believing and how to don't even
- 10:41Speaker 1: worry about that. He takes care of that himself. He'll
- 10:44Speaker 1: send the stuff your way. But you gotta be willing
- 10:46Speaker 1: to put some effort in this thing now and you
- 10:49Speaker 1: can do it. Okay. I know I was a little
- 10:51Speaker 1: around the place today, but that's what it was. So
- 10:54Speaker 1: you know, let's go get it to ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:03Speaker 1: boys and girls and everybody around the world. You are
- 11:08Speaker 1: listening to the skeeve of and Morning show. Today's show
- 11:13Speaker 1: is dedicated to people who like to smile, Yeah, if
- 11:18Speaker 1: you like to smile, this show is dedicated to you
- 11:22Speaker 1: grinning with your bands self. Kurt Frankly got a song
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'll said, you look so much better when you smile.
- 11:29Speaker 1: You got to smile, man. Ugly people look better when
- 11:33Speaker 1: they smile. Pretty people look prettier when they smile. Song
- 11:38Speaker 1: is simple, you look so much better when you smile
- 11:44Speaker 1: while you're going through. So this is for everybody that
- 11:47Speaker 1: likes to smile. I do like smiling. I like grinning.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I like flat out and laughing, hollering. Yeah, and Tommy,
- 11:57Speaker 1: I want to thank you man for giving me some

- 12:13Speaker 1: figure out how to get away from my family. Funny,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I'm staging my death right And that's so funny to me.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Man good because he knows, Yeah, if he gets six
- 12:34Speaker 1: d million dollar, he ain't gonna right. And I don't
- 12:37Speaker 1: want to keep explaining this to my wife where I be,
- 12:42Speaker 1: where that is, where I being so they can sive me.
- 12:46Speaker 1: You don't want to walk in there with another woman
- 12:48Speaker 1: in front of white But yeah, it's gonna happen. I
- 12:53Speaker 1: don't want your girlfriend taking a picture of me and
- 12:57Speaker 1: sending it to you in the restaurant about to go out.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I don't want nobody your brother in law, he'll bouncer

- 13:16Speaker 1: to be a dead millionaire. I'm just going to say that.
- 13:19Speaker 1: That's why Tommy said he got to get away from
- 13:22Speaker 1: his family to bring this shame on, to fake his death.
- 13:27Speaker 1: You have to hear only the guys on this show

- 32:50Speaker 1: I think everybody learns a lesson here. I think, you know,
- 32:55Speaker 1: you have to make a lot men for people to
- 32:58Speaker 1: air a man. You know, stop thinking because people are

- 33:46Speaker 1: I'm definitely not giving anybody a free path. I'm just
- 33:49Speaker 1: talking about the part of it that when you do
- 33:53Speaker 1: make the mistake, can we can we make a lotment
- 33:59Speaker 1: for that? Or are we so perfect in our own
- 34:02Speaker 1: life that we just we just ready to climb on
- 34:05Speaker 1: the wagon and just running running out of town. I
- 34:08Speaker 1: don't think that's the case. I think that he's made
- 34:10Speaker 1: a mistake. He admitted to it. They tried to extort him,
- 34:15Speaker 1: you know, he fighting it. None of this would have
- 34:17Speaker 1: happened had it never happened, though, and so that's still there.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So but he's my friends. So I'm standing beside period.
- 34:26Speaker 1: He's my friend. I stand beside, I stand inside. All
- 34:30Speaker 1: Mama said, friends when they make mistakes, hopefully they would

- 40:25Speaker 1: couldn't hear it, so she thought I was using the
- 40:29Speaker 1: py word. He took that water bottle down off the
- 40:32Speaker 1: back of that door. I didn't see it. All I
- 40:35Speaker 1: heard was he just lashed me with that hose that
- 40:39Speaker 1: was on the back of the door. I smelled vinegar.
- 40:42Speaker 1: I didn't know what was happening to me. I was
- 40:45Speaker 1: getting all because I was doing what I thought was
- 40:51Speaker 1: a legitimate commercial. We gotta go back. You're listening Steve
- 40:58Speaker 1: Hardy Morning Show. Okay, well we're back. We didn't give
- 41:02Speaker 1: Eugene time to do his segment because I was doing
- 41:05Speaker 1: something greater than his segment. Yeah, I was doing the
- 41:11Speaker 1: h it's a tussy commercial. But at the time I
- 41:14Speaker 1: didn't know it was testing. I thought it was tusty
- 41:16Speaker 1: because I knew one of words and he had Yeah,
- 41:20Speaker 1: so it was the odor and so it was pronounced tussi.
- 41:24Speaker 1: But when I was a little boy, I didn't know.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I thought it was testing. And I was doing my
- 41:27Speaker 1: commercial for my TV show about about nine, about nine,
- 41:33Speaker 1: I was put some tuss right here, put some tuss
- 41:38Speaker 1: it right that. Put some to sit on me summer
- 41:42Speaker 1: every she walked in that bathroom and she couldn't hear good,
- 41:48Speaker 1: and she thought I was using the P word. She
- 41:52Speaker 1: took that hot water bottle down off the back of
- 41:54Speaker 1: the door. Everybody remember what that was, and took that
- 41:57Speaker 1: hold and went across my back. Our danzeling glory. I
- 42:08Speaker 1: couldn't even hollow. It was so shocking. You're sitting up
- 42:12Speaker 1: in here and just started lashing me. You're gonna read Christians.
- 42:17Speaker 1: We don't do that in the family. You don't say
- 42:20Speaker 1: that be wearing. I'm gonna beat the skin off your back.
- 42:25Speaker 1: And I'm trying to point after lord jaw tussing to
- 42:30Speaker 1: let us know that I'm doing a tussing commercial show
- 42:33Speaker 1: on your TV show. But I'm getting beat so bad.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I can't prom All I'm doing is putting at the
- 42:41Speaker 1: lud y'all or what I thought was tussing. I later
- 42:44Speaker 1: found out his tussing. But at the time, though, I
- 42:48Speaker 1: was getting the ass open in my life because my
- 42:51Speaker 1: mama thought I had said the P word. Well did
- 42:54Speaker 1: she ever find out? Didn't give it. It was no
- 42:58Speaker 1: explaining about once they over they threw it because my
- 43:02Speaker 1: whole exp how are you going to do something like that?
- 43:04Speaker 1: Quote what I'm gonna tell her because she already can't
- 43:07Speaker 1: hear good And I'm sagain, Mama, I was talking about
- 43:14Speaker 1: what I just so I already knew my explanation we
- 43:20Speaker 1: wasn't gonna be good. So Eugene, yeah, Stephen, so you
- 43:26Speaker 1: you met him. I just met him in secret. I
- 43:29Speaker 1: know you use secret cause secret is strong enough for
- 43:32Speaker 1: a man mad that's not the reason did the conversion. No, no, man,
- 43:52Speaker 1: if it's strong enough for you, but you can't use
- 43:54Speaker 1: a secret because I do old spice. Boy, that's my
- 44:00Speaker 1: old spice. And on my fast, I asked, what guy, Yeah,
- 44:06Speaker 1: I got beat out of everything in that your TV
- 44:12Speaker 1: show in the bathroom. Yeah, yeah, every day I did
- 44:15Speaker 1: my TV show. After my daddy shaved, I went and
- 44:17Speaker 1: there stood on my little box and did my TV
- 44:20Speaker 1: show in that little brown mirror with all the cracks
- 44:23Speaker 1: in it, and so you know, I did my TV show.
- 44:27Speaker 1: So I was in there and U. I had an
- 44:29Speaker 1: old spice, but with because I was doing an old
- 44:31Speaker 1: spice commercial and I didn't know I was naked, and
- 44:34Speaker 1: my daddy told me not to use his old spice
- 44:36Speaker 1: because that was his cologne. But I was splashing on
- 44:38Speaker 1: my hand and I got something on my little but
- 44:42Speaker 1: I didn't know as a little boy what that was
- 44:45Speaker 1: fin to do to me. So I was doing an
- 44:46Speaker 1: old spice coming from I was doing the old spice,
- 44:59Speaker 1: and then I know that my little my little Hummers
- 45:02Speaker 1: was and they were starting to catch on five and
- 45:06Speaker 1: then after about three minutes they was on fully a flame.
- 45:10Speaker 1: And I'm holding him looking at him with mold spice
- 45:14Speaker 1: on my hands. So I got old spice, and that
- 45:19Speaker 1: old spice is spice. That's when I started saying the
- 45:26Speaker 1: song yest nuts five troll snipping at your So that
- 45:37Speaker 1: that was another I've had a lot of traumatic times. Bathroom.
- 45:40Speaker 1: We'll be backing an old spies. I got whipped by everything,
- 45:45Speaker 1: and I'll tell you tied the bowl. We will leave that.
- 45:50Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming
- 45:54Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. Right about four
- 45:56Speaker 1: minutes after Don't Forget Today, Strawberry Letter is on to
- 46:00Speaker 1: But first the nephew in the building with the prank
- 46:02Speaker 1: phone call call Yes, triosity bringing triosity, I'm gonna get married. Hello. Hello,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Marvin police Y, Marvin High. I'm
- 46:23Speaker 1: calling you from DR's office. I'm actually the lab technician.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Um and you you came in and got it physical.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I guess about a couple of weeks ago, okay, and
- 46:32Speaker 1: my understanding this is for your for your occupation. Correct. Okay,
- 46:36Speaker 1: you're what do you do for a living when you're
- 46:38Speaker 1: a Okay, now, I was giving you a call about
- 46:43Speaker 1: I'm here looking at your records and all the testings
- 46:45Speaker 1: that you actually went through. Um wow, let's see have
- 46:49Speaker 1: you had any have you had any activity or any
- 46:51Speaker 1: problems around your naval area? Na fine? Okay, right, yeah,
- 46:59Speaker 1: everything is fine. But I mean if you haven't had
- 47:01Speaker 1: any any type of nothing, no breakout or anything around
- 47:05Speaker 1: your navel or whatsoever about my name? Now everything is
- 47:10Speaker 1: going straight, man, Okay, see what's going on? Man? Okay?
- 47:15Speaker 1: Actually you've been diagnosed with um oak triositis and oatriosy
- 47:21Speaker 1: oachriostity is actually a fungus that comes out of South America,
- 47:24Speaker 1: and you have no activity whatsoever around your navel. It's otriositis, sir.
- 47:34Speaker 1: And what what that is is actually you're if you
- 47:38Speaker 1: haven't had it yet, you say you haven't had any activity.
- 47:40Speaker 1: There's gonna be like a small little tree that's gonna
- 47:43Speaker 1: be growing from your navel and it it gets about
- 47:46Speaker 1: six inches long and it probably bears about probably about
- 47:50Speaker 1: thirty leaves on it, but it's very small. You see
- 47:54Speaker 1: a tree gonna be growing out my name. It's gonna
- 47:57Speaker 1: be a small tree. And uh, what's gonna happen is
- 48:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to get you to come back in
- 48:01Speaker 1: probably the next month, we're gonna need you to come
- 48:03Speaker 1: in so we can check it out. But it's got
- 48:05Speaker 1: to grow its fullest potential before we can actually do
- 48:08Speaker 1: anything to it. No, I can't come in and on money.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I got to come in today. Man. Somebody got we
- 48:13Speaker 1: we we were just trying to resolve. Man, I'm gonna
- 48:17Speaker 1: get married. Man. Well we can't. It has to grow
- 48:19Speaker 1: its fullest potential, sir. And uh. The full term is
- 48:22Speaker 1: actually like about four weeks before we can act. And
- 48:25Speaker 1: I'm not waiting for no four weeks. Man. Somebody got
- 48:27Speaker 1: to come tell me something, right. No, man, I ain't
- 48:30Speaker 1: gonna go married. Man. Have to fly the time man
- 48:32Speaker 1: and have something going out my neighbor. Man, y'all going crazy, man,
- 48:35Speaker 1: Sir Oatrios. This is something that's very rare. We're actually
- 48:39Speaker 1: getting this assignment from overseas in South America on how
- 48:42Speaker 1: to treat this and I don't give it down. Where
- 48:44Speaker 1: is it? Man, somebody's gonna have to come give me
- 48:46Speaker 1: some some help right now. Man, I'm gonna get ready
- 48:49Speaker 1: to get married. Man. I'm not gonna be putting up
- 48:51Speaker 1: with it. Man. Somebody in this office main't got to
- 48:53Speaker 1: come down and then do something for me, man, And
- 48:55Speaker 1: what you say, if you said, I can cut it
- 48:57Speaker 1: out myself. So the best I can do is probably
- 49:00Speaker 1: rim it a bit, you know, and maybe knock a
- 49:01Speaker 1: few leaves off, But I cannot touch the full stock
- 49:04Speaker 1: at all. Man. You can cut this something. If you
- 49:08Speaker 1: cut it, you cannot, sir. If you cut it, there's
- 49:12Speaker 1: a possibility of hemorrhaging, and you're gonna really create a
- 49:15Speaker 1: bigger problem than what you have already. Man, I'm trying
- 49:19Speaker 1: to get this dot. Man, you didn't tell me. Ain't
- 49:22Speaker 1: nobody that I've dried on there and get this man.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna get married in two weeks. Man, we're gonna
- 49:28Speaker 1: fly to Jamaican. It can't now. Somebody can do this
- 49:32Speaker 1: for me. So you cannot pull it out. You're gonna create,
- 49:37Speaker 1: good Man, You're gonna create a bigger problem if you
- 49:40Speaker 1: try to pull it out, Sir. Problems are rid of up.
- 49:43Speaker 1: I'm trying to get this problem. Man, you big hospital
- 49:47Speaker 1: now hit me. You want me to do it's not
- 49:54Speaker 1: and you can do, man, sir. A triosity is is
- 49:58Speaker 1: not something that we treat all the time. Like I said,
- 50:00Speaker 1: it hails from South America. So we got I don't
- 50:02Speaker 1: give help from Great Britain. Somebody for me to come
- 50:08Speaker 1: down and help me. Poor man, Sir. I understand what
- 50:11Speaker 1: you're going through, but we have to let it grow.
- 50:13Speaker 1: It's full term, which is four weeks, sir, the full
- 50:16Speaker 1: root of it to grow. Man, ro man'n go down
- 50:20Speaker 1: right now. Man, y'all want to do something. Man, sure,
- 50:24Speaker 1: there's nothing we can do. We can probably trim it
- 50:26Speaker 1: a little bit. The trim tray. Man do something, sir.
- 50:32Speaker 1: There's nothing we can do at this point, but sit
- 50:34Speaker 1: back and wait and let it grow. It's full term. Okay,
- 50:36Speaker 1: can we get you wait, man, somebody help me right? No, man, sir,
- 50:41Speaker 1: can we get an appointment for you in the next
- 50:43Speaker 1: four or five weeks and we do that. You got
- 50:45Speaker 1: to get a poem for me to day. I'm going
- 50:47Speaker 1: to give matter. Man. I'm gonna fly out of Jamaica now.
- 50:50Speaker 1: I can't have them ticking out of me. I can't
- 50:52Speaker 1: see at the port. Man, you're going embarrassing me like
- 50:55Speaker 1: that man ticking out my neighbor. Sir. I understand, and
- 51:00Speaker 1: like I said, Oa triositis is very rare, and it's
- 51:02Speaker 1: it's something that we haven't treated that many times. Here
- 51:05Speaker 1: in the States, but overseas of the message that we're
- 51:07Speaker 1: getting is that we need to let it grow. It's
- 51:09Speaker 1: full term. Ain't nobody in the midst It's a triositis, sir.
- 51:17Speaker 1: So I get nobody else, sir. I could not believe
- 51:23Speaker 1: that you were coming up with atriositis here in the States.
- 51:26Speaker 1: It's it's something very rarely seen here. There's been two
- 51:29Speaker 1: people in the past has been diagnosed with this and
- 51:31Speaker 1: they actually passed away. So now dive and you're gonna Man,
- 51:38Speaker 1: I'm coming down that a day. Man, somebody's go do
- 51:40Speaker 1: something me. There's nothing that we can do today until
- 51:43Speaker 1: four or five weeks. I gotta go get married. I'm
- 51:47Speaker 1: flying to Jamaica. Man, Man, I'm here and what you're saying,
- 51:52Speaker 1: but I can't do anything if you don't see the
- 51:55Speaker 1: tree already coming out of the navel yet, somebody got
- 51:59Speaker 1: the something I now, damn what you want me to do? Man,
- 52:03Speaker 1: I don't know what I want you to do, sir,
- 52:05Speaker 1: But I have one more thing I can tell you
- 52:07Speaker 1: what you got to say. Man, are you listening listening
- 52:10Speaker 1: to you? Man? This is Nephew timing from the Steve
- 52:13Speaker 1: Hoppin Morning Show. You just got pranked by your boy.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Earl Man. You gotta be kid out my wig. Man,
- 52:28Speaker 1: you toming man, Man, he'll be going crazy here. Man,
- 52:34Speaker 1: I'm looking at all of my damn neighbor thinking the
- 52:36Speaker 1: truth from the man. I'm on, man, No, you ain't
- 52:41Speaker 1: right now, man, I'm already nervou get married two weeks man, Hey, man,
- 52:49Speaker 1: I got one more thing to ask you, Marvin Man.
- 52:52Speaker 1: What is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 52:55Speaker 1: show in the land, Harvard Morning Show. If you're listening, Yeah,
- 53:09Speaker 1: that I appreciate it. Thank you as always. Okay, Steve,
- 53:22Speaker 1: you you were going to tell us about the tidy
- 53:24Speaker 1: bowl commercial in the bathroom again everything in this I
- 53:33Speaker 1: was flushing the toilet right and our toilet water was blue.
- 53:37Speaker 1: You know. It was just a little boy. So I
- 53:39Speaker 1: decided to open up the lead to see why this
- 53:43Speaker 1: is water blue? And that guy was all over my hand.
- 53:48Speaker 1: And then my mama said, Steve, get out that bad food.
- 53:51Speaker 1: But my hands was wet, so I grabbed the towel
- 53:55Speaker 1: and wipe my hands off. Now it's blue all over
- 53:59Speaker 1: the top. So she go in the bathroom. All I
- 54:04Speaker 1: heard was, who, why don't town where's my good town? Yeah?
- 54:13Speaker 1: We had our family initial on that she had just
- 54:15Speaker 1: got them, and I had blue all over this top.
- 54:19Speaker 1: She came up there and said a little Stevie, did
- 54:23Speaker 1: you wipe your hands on them? Good time? Yeah? And
- 54:27Speaker 1: I said, um, did I lie? I could tell by
- 54:35Speaker 1: the tune this. I asked, just wipe my hands. I
- 54:39Speaker 1: got to lie. Somebody else had to. She said, hold
- 54:44Speaker 1: your hands out. I held my hands. I blew all
- 54:47Speaker 1: uto my nails and everything. She said, and you just
- 54:51Speaker 1: lied to me. You didn't put that blue all over
- 54:54Speaker 1: them good time. I just brought them time, sadd I
- 54:57Speaker 1: tell you what, Tell your daddy when he come home
- 55:00Speaker 1: that you didn't do that to them? Time O sick
- 55:04Speaker 1: like them? Time for you did my black hair started?
- 55:15Speaker 1: I never heard him mention it that. I know he
- 55:18Speaker 1: liked watermelon with pep on it, but I didn't kid
- 55:23Speaker 1: about no damn towel. We will be back in about
- 55:31Speaker 1: an hour. Tony Braxton will be our special guest to
- 55:34Speaker 1: tell us about her new single Deadwood from her forthcoming
- 55:37Speaker 1: eighth studio album, Sex and Cigarettes. Will be right back.
- 55:41Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right?
- 55:44Speaker 1: Coming up next Today's Crazy Strawberry Letter. You do not
- 55:48Speaker 1: want to miss it and uh, in about an hour,
- 55:50Speaker 1: a little less than an hour, the legend herself, Tony
- 55:54Speaker 1: Braxton will be a special guest in the studio with us.
- 55:57Speaker 1: He's a brand new single called Deadwood. He'll be here.
- 56:03Speaker 1: You keep your composure, put your mind right, Okay, right,
- 56:08Speaker 1: but first let's talk about this President Donald Trump has
- 56:12Speaker 1: a lot on his plate. I mean, he's talking to
- 56:14Speaker 1: the U n for his first ever speech on Tuesday.
- 56:18Speaker 1: He spoke there about possibly going to war destroying North Korea.
- 56:23Speaker 1: But once all that was over, then he set his
- 56:26Speaker 1: sights on another one of his enemies. Uh, Sunday's Emmy Awards.
- 56:31Speaker 1: Uh what did I just say that? What? Trump tweeted
- 56:36Speaker 1: late Tuesday evening about how saddened he was about how
- 56:40Speaker 1: bad the ratings were. He went on to describe the
- 56:42Speaker 1: ratings for the show that aired on CBS as the
- 56:45Speaker 1: worst ever. But it turns out that's not true. Although
- 56:48Speaker 1: the ratings weren't stellar, they were slightly better than last year.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Last year, the show had a record low of eleven
- 56:55Speaker 1: point three million viewers. This year, the show, hosted by
- 56:58Speaker 1: Trump nemesis Steve even Colbert pulled in eleven point four
- 57:02Speaker 1: million viewers Sunday Night. Yeah. Trump was a frequent target
- 57:08Speaker 1: during the broadcast. The President should have more important things
- 57:12Speaker 1: on his mind than the Emmy's and the ratings, you
- 57:14Speaker 1: would think, but Trump is obsessed with ratings and crowd size.
- 57:19Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys saw this, but his
- 57:21Speaker 1: former Press secretary Sean Spicer appeared in a cameo. This
- 57:25Speaker 1: was Yeah, this was a gag about the show's audience,
- 57:28Speaker 1: playing off his infamous post inauguration press conference, you know,
- 57:32Speaker 1: talking about how many people or at the inauguration he
- 57:36Speaker 1: made up that uh, that story about yeah, the crowd
- 57:40Speaker 1: size there. So um, I mean, really you would think
- 57:43Speaker 1: he's the president, the most powerful man, uh in the world.
- 57:46Speaker 1: He would have, you know, a lot more to talk
- 57:48Speaker 1: about than just it's just unbelievable. It is. It's just unbelievable. Yeah,
- 57:56Speaker 1: that's really petty, it's really But only reason he's mad
- 58:00Speaker 1: at the Immies was because Saturday Night Live was up
- 58:03Speaker 1: for so many awards because of their political president Alec
- 58:08Speaker 1: Baldwin one. Because that's what the whole problem is. You
- 58:12Speaker 1: can't be mad at all the damn come on, man,
- 58:17Speaker 1: come on, man, right, because before he was president, when
- 58:20Speaker 1: he was on Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice, he wanted an Emmy.
- 58:24Speaker 1: You know, if he just said, look, congratulations to all
- 58:27Speaker 1: the Emmy winners, uh, continued success, that would have been presidential,
- 58:32Speaker 1: even though we would still be wondering why you're watching them? Yes, man,
- 58:38Speaker 1: I cut up. You had to go out and just
- 58:41Speaker 1: tell everybody something you knew what bullcrap every day? Every
- 58:45Speaker 1: day I'm going to go out here a lot of
- 58:47Speaker 1: these people again. And these are intelligent people. The press,
- 58:52Speaker 1: it's some pretty smart people, and when you piss them off,
- 58:55Speaker 1: they're really smart. Okay, we fake news. I bet this
- 58:59Speaker 1: ain't fake facts. Yeah that was crazy, but come on,
- 59:05Speaker 1: Donald Trump, you don't be so petty. No, no, I
- 59:12Speaker 1: don't know. I don't. I just thought i'd throw it
- 59:14Speaker 1: out there. This is he doing. He's permitted to it.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Oh he is. We can stop being shocked, I think,
- 59:21Speaker 1: do you think? But every time we say that, he
- 59:24Speaker 1: does something even more shocking. But I'll admit it though.
- 59:27Speaker 1: It's like I told the car sell Us when he
- 59:28Speaker 1: called and we were talking and asked him, was he surprised?
- 59:31Speaker 1: He said no, I said, I gotta tell you, man,
- 59:33Speaker 1: I am. I'm just surprised that Donald Trump is doing it,
- 59:37Speaker 1: sing and stuff. I'm shocked. Come on, nephew, let's get
- 59:41Speaker 1: to this letter. Please buckle up, hold on tight. We
- 59:45Speaker 1: got it four years every letter. Here we go with
- 59:48Speaker 1: this one subject. My woman plays text games. Good morning
- 59:52Speaker 1: to the best morning show in the nation. I'm a
- 59:54Speaker 1: forty three year old, attractive, intelligent, smart working man okay,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: who lives, who loves his woman and daughter very much.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I just knew it was going to be a woman there,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: a smart working man who loves his woman and daughter
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: very much. My woman is an attractive forty two year
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: old who I never could get to believe in me,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: but I love her anyway. I have not cheated on
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: my woman. I do not drink, and I treat my
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: woman as good as she will let me. We decided
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: that it was time to take our relationship to the
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: next level, so we agreed to live together, moving toward marriage.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: A few days ago, I received a text message from
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: a woman who said she met me at a workshop
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I was a part of a New York City The
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: woman said she was attracted to me and wanted to
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: know if I still had a girlfriend. I responded, no,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: because I have a woman, not a girlfriend. This statement
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: made me wonder if my woman was playing text games
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: with me. I quickly concluded in my mind that this
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: was not possible because my woman is mature and would
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: not do this. Boy, was I wrong? Then she asked
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: if I could, if she could call me at six
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: o'clock PM. I said, sure, you can. This is where
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: the texting stopped. Later that evening, I was speaking to
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: my woman and she started asking me questions about do
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: you flirt when you are out, et cetera. My answer
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: was yes, but flirting does not turn into sex. I
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: then knew the woman who texted me was my so
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: called woman. She quickly admitted that she was the one
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: texting me and that I was going to do something
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: with this woman. Because I admitted that I did not
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: have a girlfriend, I told the truth. I thought I
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: had a woman. I thought I had a woman. Well,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I was wrong, because only my girlfriend would play a
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: text game with me instead of asking me a question
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: face to face. After explaining that I was not cheating
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: but curious, she then hung up the phone. Was this entrapment?
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: If she does not trust me, why didn't she just
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: leave me alone? Why didn't she just leave me alone?
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Just looking for feedback, sincerely, good Man, looking for a
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: woman who does not play text games. Uh, you know what,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: dear good Man, it does sound like your woman has
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: trust issues with you. It sounds like she is a
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: little immature and um, you know, but you know you
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: cannot tell a woman that you were curious about another woman.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: You just can't do that as a man. Um, you
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: know that doesn't do anything to ease her already suspicious mind.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: And I say you've got issues too, because if you
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: were completely happy with your woman, you know what were
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you curious about? Anyway? And I do agree the texting
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: stuff was tricky, you know, and all that she was
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: trying to trap you. And uh, I think you guys
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: need to talk about this and work it out before
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: you decide to get married, because I guarantee you it
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: will only get worse in the marriage. Twelve minutes after
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: we'll be back. Some col cracking going on in this
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: just a real this is colo. But right now, come on, Steve,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: let's go with part two of today's Strawberry Letter. Good
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: morning to the best morning show in the nation. I'm
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: afforded three year old, attractive and tell, smart working a
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: man who loves his woman and daughter very much. My
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: woman is an attractive forty two year old who I
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: could who I never could get to believe in me one,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: but I love her anyway. I have not cheated on
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: my woman. I do not drink, and I treat my
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: woman as good as she will let me. First of all, dog,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: let's go quit playing with each other. You to wrote me.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I'm an adult male, full grown forty three. Come on, man,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: you wrote the wrong You wrote the letter to the
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: wrong person. You know good and will as a man.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: You cannot write a letter of any kind, and I
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: do not know what the underlying meaning is. So now, brother,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: I hope he was ready for the truth, because that's
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: what I'm gonna tell you, because your letter is not
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: full of the truth. First of all, I question any
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: man who starts their letter off with I am a
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: forty three year old, attractive, intelligent, smart working man right there.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: If that don't have a woman wrote all over it,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: that's a I'm a forty three year old, attractive, intelligent,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: smart working man. Okay, dog, already I know that you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: on something else here woman and loves his woman and
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: daughter very much. My woman is attractive forty two year
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: old who I could not Here's the line where the
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: letter starts telling the story forty two year old who
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: I could never get to believe in me. One. When
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: a man starts a letter like this, he's setting you
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: up to justify an action he's about to commit because
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: he got a woman that he never could get to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: believe in him one. So then I questioned the rest
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: of the next statement. Then, but I love her anyway.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I'm not cheated on my woman. I do not drink
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: and I here's another trick line, I do not drink
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: and I treat my woman as good as she will
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: let me. That means there as a whole somewhere there's
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: a void that he ain't feeling for some reason, and
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: he wants us to let us know up top it's
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: because she doesn't believe in him one. So the brothers
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: setting us up for what he's about to do. Then,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: after all of this, don't believe in you one, we
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: decided it was time to take our relationship to the
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: next level. So we agreed to lead and live together,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: moving towards me for what you have got to found
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you a woman who was attractive, but don't believe in you.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: You're moving towards marriage with what not a hundred percent?
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I'll come on dog. A few days ago here his way,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: I received a text from a woman who said she
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: met me at a workshop in New York City. The
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: woman said she was attracting me and wanted to know
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: if I still had a girlfriend. That here's the whole letter.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: I respond didn't know. See that's all he put. Then
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: he thought to himself. He didn't put this in the text,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: he thought to himself, because I have a woman, not
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: a girlfriend. He didn't text that to the girl. Don't
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: get confused, ladies. All she said was do you have
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: a girlfriend? He responded no, because I have a woman,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: not a girlfriend. See he didn't tell the girl, no,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I don't have a girlfriend. I have a woman. He
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: just told a girl no. Did he played it in
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: his mind because I have a woman, not a girlfriend.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: So you gotta understand how dudes is? This statement made
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: me wonder if the woman was playing text game with me.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I concluded, in my mind, it couldn't be possible, because
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: my woman is mature and would not do this. Boy,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Was I wrong? Then she asked if she could call
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: me a six PM. I said, sure, you can't. Okay, dog,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: come on now, come on now, call you a six
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: o'clock for what what y'all if you're just flirting, calling
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: that six to talk about what? All right, Steve, thank
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: you so much. You know we gotta get out of
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: here and join me today live one thirty pm Eastern

- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Are you really been in right? Man? Nothing? Nothing's wretched
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: or nothing like that. Just some language, some things. I'm
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: singing a few curse words. Some things you have to
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: say h words, some things you have to say the

- 1:14:32Speaker 1: have all of my money. I think it's changed. We're
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: still the same show. It's it's how do you feel
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: about the project, Because if you're doing something like this,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: you gotta have put some different thought into What was
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: your thinking? On this project. This project, I was comfortable
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: with being an adult. I know that sounds crazy. In
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: the past, I was comfortable having the heartbroken and singing
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: about it. But now I'm like, I can talk about
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: the issues and say, you know, there's a song on
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: the album called f each Oh, yeah, you know what
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: that means. Right, No, sometimes you gotta say fo as,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: you gotta say it, and so I'm saying it. Am
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: I trying to figure out? Okay, Steve, you didn't know

- 1:15:24Speaker 1: do you think this left me? Oh? I know what
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: that is here? You told me too. You don't tweet,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I don't tex don't that's not your like home association. Yes,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: that's how I say folk. How many of you got?
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: We got folks game? I'm looking for three modes? Okay,

- 1:16:43Speaker 1: right here, I talked to you about Vegas. Yeah, how
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: is that for you? Because you have to be a
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: major star to do a show in Vegas. You can't
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: come out there and it ain't got no damn hits.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: But I love, love everything about it. Get to talk

- 1:18:33Speaker 1: just dead. You're kicking about you didn't care about it.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: That's still another but that's your specialty though. You give

- 1:18:47Speaker 1: in that voice, you you didn't in this project, you didn't.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Did you go pop or anything like that? I just
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: did what I love. That's a song and they're called
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: sex and cigarettes like you come home, you come into
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: the bed, smell like sex and cigarettes. Why are you here.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: That's what we call the album sex. Okay you like
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: sex or sex and cigar? You know? You know I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: can't sing that. Yeah, I can't say right, yeah, you're
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: coming in. You smell it like anything older than me.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: He yeah, that's what good about that? Does that sounds Yeah?
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: You didn't say that it was good? Yeah sounds good. Yeah.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: I don't. I have a man none of that yet.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: I'm still I was talking to somebody the other day
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: and I said, you did, and look, boy, look at
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: me and said, excuse me, you know what that's coming back? Yeah?
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: You did it. You did. That's cool because I kept it,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: never left the show. You did. You did. What's happening?
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: That little boy was me? But Tony this Deadwood single
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: the New Thing, it's classic Tony Braxton. I mean really,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I love the song. I just heard it yesterday, uh huh,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: and it's really good. It's classic Tony Braxton. You're in
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: great voice. I absolutely love your voice. You know, I'm
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: one of your biggest fans. We're gonna play it too.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: But you know, that's a good thing for your fan
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: base because they don't want you to not be Tony Braxton.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: That would crush them, you know, and so many people.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: You know, they go and try to do what's new
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: and hot, and that ain't what. But as an artist
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: you always feel like you have to try it. Right.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: That's not for me, even though I love hip hop,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Yeah that's not. But you know, but we still appreciate singers.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: They're dying, man, and you just go, wait a minute, man,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: it's anybody gonna just sing a great song. You know.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: My favorite Rapp Drake. You guys know that, But my
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: kids like, no, mom, Drake's a singer. Ye what you're saying.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: And thus he's a singer, you know what I mean.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: But my kids, you know, it's kind of changing a little.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Who do the kids like? Who do your kids like?
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: They like Drake? They like Jesus? They tell me who
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: do they like? Kodak Black? Oh yeah, little yeah. My
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: kids like who is who is the other person? Extension?
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: I don't really know, like that dude over? They just
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: find them all. But they love Drake. They love Drake,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: but he's a singer to them. Wow, he's a singer.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: My kids have started to gravitate, like when they had
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: a friends over, they had a little parties. They have
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: they play ratchet, Yes, oh yeah, they get ratchet and
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: I'll be going, really, why is this own? What an
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: intelligent person released this and thought it was a hit. Dad,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: It ain't nothing, but it's just that's what they like.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: But that's what they like. We love trap. When we
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: first sard grap, that was our things. Our parents are
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: probably looking at us, like for real, but you know
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: they like bebop or rock and roll. My parents generation
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: is that wretched is the music of the kids now?
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: But back to you in Deadwood, Oh yeah, you were family.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: We're just yeah, we really just catch it. Yeah, because
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: we're gonna play dead and then the album, well, when
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: the stream comes out, we're gonna run it to the
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: top of the apple Chuck cigarette, sex and cigarette. Oh yeah,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: that's gonna be a girl's favorite. That's one of my
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: favorite songs in the hand. Cigarettes don't come in here
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: smelling like sex and cigarettes. Take a bath? You get
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: who that crazy? Take a bath before you get home?
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Says that out loud? How low tony she said? Who
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: says that outlies have so far? So you come home
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: smelling fresh? Too fresh? To my thing was I did
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: a remake of Shirley Murdock's uh, because I had the
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: experience one time when I was young. I stayed at
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: this woman's house and then the sun came up. She
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: didn't wake me up. Man. When I woke up and
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: look at that telephone. In the words of Thoma's mind,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: I had eight hundred missed calls, six hundred text messages.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I started getting dressed. I had my drawls. I had
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: one foot in my drawers. I had no I couldn't
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: find on the slot so I could put one on.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: It had fail down up under my heels. I got
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: my shoes on the wrong foot. I'm driving home trying
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: to think, what am I gonna see pull up in
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: this house? So not the thing that I came up
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: with was. I was looking at this telephone pole. I said,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: if I go right into this telephone pole around for
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: right there, we gotta come back. We gotta take a break,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: tell me off the air when we come back. You're
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: listening Steve Morning Show. All right here we are back
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: bone like really interested in this story. So what happened.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: I was at this girl's house a long long time ago,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: A long time ago, this even when I was in
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: my prior years of ignorance, and she didn't wake me up. Hey, Now,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: I said, why don't you wake me up? You were
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: sleeping so good? You know good in hair. It ain't
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: puposed to be over here. So I get in the car.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: Now I ain't got but I got my shoes on
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: the wrong foot. I only got my drawers on one leg.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: My parts are damn the inside out. The pockets is
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: on the outside. That's our fastide. I couldn't find the
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: tie I sold his insurance back at that day. I
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: couldn't find my tape, so I just left it. I
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: got glitter and liftstick. So I'm driving home, so I
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: see this telephone pole. This was before air bags was
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: in call. So I said, if I take this car
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: at around forty and hit it and wrap it around,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: now I can go to the hospital without too much damage.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: And then I would just be in the hospital. All
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: that's what. But I I didn't have insurance on my car,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: so I had to ride that out. So I went
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: around the pole about three times trying to figure out
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: what I do and then find the man. I just said,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: I can't do it. I can't, I can't. I don't
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: know what to do. So I just drove on to
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: the house and she was up. So what did you say?
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: I just want to know what to come up with.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: So I said, you ain't gonna leeve this. Man, I've
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: been fighting this in any word, all night long. He
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: grabbed me, and I grabbed him, and we would just
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: hold each other and wouldn't let each other go. Wow,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: and I was in for the fight of my life.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: She looked at me and she said, why your shoes
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: on the wrong I said, because they came off doing
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: the fight. When I got out, got just grabbed. He said,
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: So you want me to think you've been fighting all
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: night long? His girl tried to grab she up and
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: she was on me with the glitter and the lift
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: stick and and I just stayed in it. Man. I
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: stayed in it. Man. It took me about thirty minutes. Man,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: she knew outlined the whole time. And this is another
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: episode of Law and Order criminal intent. Tony were glad
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: you're here, Yes, yes, And it's down the street while
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: I live far away. Nothing's down the street in Calabasa.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: Gotta pack a lunch, Calabasa. But it's in the area.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: It's not far, it's far far away. At in the area, Calabasa.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: You gotta drop break from what you talk with Shirley.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: We ain't even close to her house, know what? Minutes? Minute,
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: five minutes. I can't get nowhere in l A. In
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: twenty minutes, not in the morning. I was gonna say,
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: no traffic, Iron half O, not too bad. Three minutes.
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: That was the man you left yesterday. The one on
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: one doesn't move. Yeah, and my head hills. All right,
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: everybody listen, this album is coming out, and when it
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: comes out, we are taking it to the top of
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: the chart. You understand debut singing with his cars. Deadwood.

- 1:29:00Speaker 1: Huh you Donna want Really, I can't wait to say
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: she was it from her line or I don't you know,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: I don't ask that. I don't know she had on
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: the channel belt. No, No, her shoes wasn't from the shoes.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: The shoes she had on so funky. Yeah, I told
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: I said, Margie, don't want them shoes? She said, Steve
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Marjorie has she said. Please. She was really cool. It's
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: really really cool. And you know he was cool, you know,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: he just I don't really know him, you know, like that,
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: I don't really know. I never met him. I was
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: my first time meeting her. Really. Yeah, I met the
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: rest of him. I've met U, Kim highly Oh the mom.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: The mom is really cool. Man, she's really cool. Well,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: you can't be in l back in l A and
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: not have the Kardashians on, I mean show, right of course.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: You know I'm looking for Kim and U Kanye. Yeah,
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: this is my wish list for dream guests. At the
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: top of the list Barack and Michelle Obama. That's at
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: the top of my if I could get there, man,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: that would really make Next on the list is j
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: and Beyonce. Oh yeah, I would love to get them
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: on the show. Okay together or together as a couple. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: that would be good. I like Kevin Hard and his
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: wife would be my next and speaking to Kevin Man,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: uh you know he Kevin is a friend of mine,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: so all is just swirling around him. You know, he
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: gonna survive it. It's it's a tough, tough position to
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: be in. I think everybody learns a lesson here. I think,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: you know, you have to make a lot men for
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: people to airr Man. You know, stop thinking because people
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: are celebrities or they minister perfect that they're not humans. Man.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: They all human being. And once you fame us, your
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: mistakes have a spotlight on them, and the mistakes become
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: glaring to the public. You know, my hope for all
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: of this is that their family can survive it. You know,
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: that's my only hope in this thing, is that their
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: family comes about. Kevin strong enough to take this. You know,
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: when I'm out there in the light, I'm strong enough
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: to take it. What the concern is his children and
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: his wife. Now, I know whatever everybody gonna say, well,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: he should have thought about that. I got all of that.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: I got all of that. What you're saying that ain't
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. I'm not passing judge me here,
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: and I'm definitely not giving anybody a free path. I'm
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: just talking about the part of it that when you
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: do make the mistake, can we can we make allotment
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: for that? Or are we so perfect in our own
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: that we just we just ready to climb on the
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: wagon and just running running out of town. I don't
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: think that's the case. I think that he's made a mistake.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: He admitted to it. They tried to extort him, you know,
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: he fighting it. None of this would have happened had
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: it never happened, though, So that's still there. So but
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: he's my friends. So I'm standing beside. He's my friend.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: I stand beside, I stand inside all Mama said, friends
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: when they make mistakes, hopefully they will stand next to me.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: All right, thank you, Steve. We'll be back with just
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: one more thing to close out the show. You're listening
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: to Steven show. All right, here, we are back with
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: just one more thing as we close out the show.
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Interesting day, hunt, Tony was a great man. You're all right,
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: Junry was really really was Tommy? You were mumbling something
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: or looking yeah, last break when Steve was talking, Um,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: what's your take on this whole thing with with with
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: Kevin just your life? Yeah, oh you know, because I
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: don't pay a judgment, don't nobody. I just look at
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: other people and things they're going through, and I figured
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: out what I gotta. I got to have the side
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: pete meeting. I will with my side Pete. When I
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: got this new, When I got the new with my side,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: I said, listen, let see this here, can't what is it?
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: This could be an epidemic with sad pieces, get the
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: tripping like that. We can't have it. We got to
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: sit down and have a side piece of meeting. You
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: understand order. It's a definitely call to order. We have
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: got to sit at and had this conversation. Wow, how
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: do you owe in a meeting like that? I mean,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: what's the first thing you say? I don't don't do?
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: What the hell we just got through saying the first
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: thing first right off the back? Huh? Please help him listen,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: this is this is a horrible situation. What I want
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: because I've known Kevin for years, he's a great guy.
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: But let me tell y'all something. Good people make bad mistakes.
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: Good people make bad decisions all the time. Every day.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: I think I'm a good person, and I have made
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: some bad mistakes and some bad decisions. And this isn't
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: the last bad decision he will make. Now it will
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: probably not be on this level or this same one. Sometimes, Man,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: when you take the whipping, you get the lesson. This
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: is one of those things, man, where you got to go. Man,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: y'all hanging there and I'm really just wanting the family
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: to survive it, you know. But when a man steps
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: forward and go and explains it to his kids, his wife,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: that's that's that's hard. That's hard, and it's true what
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: he said. I mean, you, as a celebrity, have said
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: this before, that he feels like he has a target
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: on his back, and target what what becomes increasingly difficult.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: It's like, you know what a lot of celebrities I
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: know talk about all the time, it's hard to be
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: in the line like now. The fact that you have
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: a target on your back has to cause you to
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: use even greater judgment. But I'm gonna tell you something too,
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: You've got to be mindful of the people that's around you,
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: because you gotta have people in your circle to say
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: hey man, you can ready do what, don't yo? Whoa
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: come in? Hold up? Hold on, manute, we fit to
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: go do what? No, no, no, man, I can go
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: do that. You can let nu Nut go do that.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: June Bug go do that. You can't go do that. Dog,
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: We do that to you a lot, Steve, we pull
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: you back. I'm gonna tell you something. I thank God
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: for Boomerang because Boomerang has been a steady friend of
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: mine in that regard, because Boomerang has always over the
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: years from kings of comedy all the way through your dog.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: Oh man, here we're going down there. That's really nice
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: of you to say those I mean, her back or
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: stabilizing force, Like if he foresees something with all his
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: knowledge and his life experiences, he'll go, yo, man, no,
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: you ain't doing that. That's crazy. You do friend, right,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: you know, man, but you you can do something else. Dog,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: but you didn't even do that. And you gotta have
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: people around you at this level who have your best
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: interests in heart. That will be a voice of reason
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: for you, because sometimes at this level you don't see everything.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: You don't you don't see it. You sometimes you're just
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: going and sometimes man, just in life, man, you just
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: want to do what you wanna do. We're doing what
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: you wanna do. You can't no more because we live
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: in these big pretty prisons. That's what celebrity is, man.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: And this is what people don't get for me, and
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: I describe it this way. It's like living in a big,
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: pretty prison. Oh, you get to go all these fabulous places,
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: but you gotta stay in the confined area. Partner, you can't. Oh,
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: you coming too the VRP party that we're throw in
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: for you, But see that whole party not for you.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: You better get your ass in that corner behind them
