- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: like theming bus bus things. And it's not true. Good
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve Hartley, I don't joy. You gotta use turning the
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: out to turn turn the water the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your baby, uh huh, I sure will. A good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now. One and all is Steve Harvey. Man
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:13Speaker 1: because God in the blessing business. Yeah, that's all. I'm
- 2:18Speaker 1: just a recipient. Steve Harvey got a radio show because
- 2:22Speaker 1: God is in the show you favor business. He showed
- 2:26Speaker 1: me some favor. Steve Harvey got a radio show because
- 2:30Speaker 1: God is in the forgiving business. God and forgave me
- 2:37Speaker 1: thousands and thousands of times, you know. And I say
- 2:43Speaker 1: that as a big number like that, because it's probably true.
- 2:48Speaker 1: God is a forgiving God. That's how I exist today,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and that's how you exist today. And one of the
- 2:53Speaker 1: things I want to remind you about even in existing today,
- 2:57Speaker 1: you know, Joel Oldstein had a has a book out
- 2:59Speaker 1: call It's Your Time. I love this book. It's called
- 3:03Speaker 1: It's Your Time, And that's kind of what I want
- 3:06Speaker 1: to touch you on today. And I want to remind
- 3:08Speaker 1: you all that it's still your time. See, you know
- 3:15Speaker 1: there's look, you know, they've got unsuccessful people have created
- 3:21Speaker 1: a lot of sayings to justify our failures as people. Well,
- 3:28Speaker 1: my ship has passed. That that was created by a
- 3:34Speaker 1: person who did not quite make their goal in the
- 3:38Speaker 1: amount of time that they had set for. So to
- 3:40Speaker 1: justify it, here comes this great, seemingly very clever saying,
- 3:45Speaker 1: and a lot of us are dept. Well, my ship
- 3:48Speaker 1: has passed, so we adopt that. Here's another one. Well,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I guess it just wasn't meant to be. That sounds good,
- 3:55Speaker 1: don't it, Because they mix it up with a little
- 3:59Speaker 1: bit of faith based in it. I guessed it wasn't. Well,
- 4:03Speaker 1: here's another one. I guess if God wanted it for me,
- 4:06Speaker 1: i'd have it. Are you serious? Man? Are you serious?
- 4:12Speaker 1: You're actually gonna use that one to to to justify
- 4:18Speaker 1: where you are in life? Man? That's that's so, that's
- 4:22Speaker 1: so not the case. I want to remind everybody today
- 4:26Speaker 1: that it's still your time. That you know your ship
- 4:31Speaker 1: hasn't sailed, you didn't miss all of your opportunities. There's others.
- 4:38Speaker 1: It's still your time. You know you still got a chance,
- 4:44Speaker 1: You still have a shot. Here's a good one. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: still have hope, you do all of you. As long
- 4:56Speaker 1: as God is who he is, there's always hope for you.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You can never lose sight of that. You can never
- 5:05Speaker 1: let the devil win that battle that there is no
- 5:08Speaker 1: hope for you and cause you to do something that's unthinkable.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm just gonna cash in the chips. I'm gonna take
- 5:19Speaker 1: my life. I'm gonna commit suicide. No, no, no, wait
- 5:22Speaker 1: a second, Wait a second, Are you for real? That's
- 5:25Speaker 1: not God talking to you. That's something wrong and it's
- 5:29Speaker 1: not coming from him. It's still your time. You still
- 5:35Speaker 1: got a chance. There's always hope. But listen to me.
- 5:40Speaker 1: You got to move and you got to move on it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So many people are not getting the full benefit of
- 5:48Speaker 1: their life, and so many people are not getting all
- 5:51Speaker 1: the blessings that God has for because you keep waiting
- 5:55Speaker 1: on the perfect time. Man, how many times have I
- 5:58Speaker 1: heard people come to me and say, Man, I'm just
- 6:01Speaker 1: waiting on everything to line up. Right, Man, I'm waiting
- 6:04Speaker 1: on the perfect time to get He can't tell you something.
- 6:08Speaker 1: If I were waiting on the perfect time, I wouldn't
- 6:13Speaker 1: be hardly any of the things that I've become. And
- 6:17Speaker 1: one of my greatest blessings was marrying Marjorie. I wouldn't
- 6:23Speaker 1: even have married Marjorie if I was waiting on the
- 6:27Speaker 1: perfect time because I had gone through what I thought
- 6:31Speaker 1: was enough misery to cover my entire lifetime. And so
- 6:36Speaker 1: when I was first divorced, I just said, man, it's
- 6:42Speaker 1: gonna be five six years before I do this again.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I said it two years later I was married. But
- 6:53Speaker 1: guess what, man, it wasn't the perfect time. I didn't
- 6:57Speaker 1: have my ducks, all my ducks lined up in a role.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It was still some things I needed to clean up.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I even told her, it's some things I want to
- 7:06Speaker 1: clean up out of my life before you know it's
- 7:09Speaker 1: it's I want I want to make sure I got
- 7:12Speaker 1: all the stars are lined up, you know I want
- 7:14Speaker 1: to I want to wait until all the ducks are
- 7:16Speaker 1: in a row. I was waiting on the perfect time.
- 7:20Speaker 1: If I had not stopped and Marjorie and I had
- 7:24Speaker 1: set out and said to each other there will be
- 7:27Speaker 1: no perfect time. And then she said, I'll go through
- 7:31Speaker 1: with you whatever you're going through. That was it. I
- 7:37Speaker 1: took a chance. The ducks were not lined up in
- 7:42Speaker 1: a row. Had a lot of baggage in my life, man,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I wanted to try to clear up. I want to
- 7:47Speaker 1: do some things financially different. I wanted to just get
- 7:51Speaker 1: rid of some residue I had in my life. She said, no,
- 7:55Speaker 1: we'll do it together, because they ain't no perfect time.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And guess what it was it So, if you're out
- 8:01Speaker 1: there waiting on the perfect time to do something, it
- 8:05Speaker 1: may not come. There is no such thing as waiting
- 8:08Speaker 1: on the perfect time. I've said this a hundred times,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and here comes one on one. The road to success
- 8:15Speaker 1: is always under construction. You ain't gonna go out there
- 8:18Speaker 1: and there ain't no barrels on the road. You're not
- 8:20Speaker 1: going out there and not running to deep to a sign.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You're not going out there without seeing the men working
- 8:25Speaker 1: sign to get off. You're not going out there to
- 8:28Speaker 1: see it. So guess what, stop waiting on the stars.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I got man, this is a perfect time to do
- 8:34Speaker 1: it now. If you're waiting on the perfect time, that
- 8:38Speaker 1: could be one of your biggest problems. You're still waiting.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You have got to move and you've got to move
- 8:43Speaker 1: on it, and you've got to make a decision to
- 8:46Speaker 1: go now. God will get you through everything necessary for
- 8:50Speaker 1: you to get through. But you can't quit though. See
- 8:54Speaker 1: it is as apart. You can't quit just because the
- 8:57Speaker 1: road you're own is under construction. You get off at
- 9:00Speaker 1: the exit because you're tired of all the bump of
- 9:03Speaker 1: the bumper traffic. It's that way. Get you some God,
- 9:07Speaker 1: like I said, get you some God, and go on
- 9:11Speaker 1: and go see what your life can be like. So
- 9:13Speaker 1: stop waiting on the perfect time, stop waiting on the
- 9:16Speaker 1: stars to align themselves. You got to move and you
- 9:19Speaker 1: got to move on it. Get you some God, apply
- 9:23Speaker 1: some faith, and get started. And remember when you get
- 9:26Speaker 1: out there, coming towards your goal, the road to construct,
- 9:29Speaker 1: the road to success is always under construction. If it
- 9:33Speaker 1: was easy, everybody would be it. Stop expecting it to
- 9:36Speaker 1: be easy. Come on out here, get up in this thing.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's funky out here. Yeah I got all that. It's
- 9:41Speaker 1: hard out here, yeah I got all that. But what
- 9:43Speaker 1: you wanna do, man, what you wanna do? You're gonna
- 9:47Speaker 1: push your chips up to the window. It ain't time
- 9:50Speaker 1: for that. You still got time, You still got a chance.
- 9:52Speaker 1: There's always hope, there's always God. That's my conversation to do.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to morning show, ladies and gentlemen, it is
- 10:05Speaker 1: about time to get this show started. To Steve Harvey
- 10:08Speaker 1: Morning Show, He's on the launch pad, ready to go.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Roscoe Wallace graced us last week. He wrote to encamera
- 10:17Speaker 1: to inform us. Roscoe Wallace wrote the hit Try Jesus,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and he performed it last week. I felt so honored
- 10:25Speaker 1: to have him on this show, so moved by his
- 10:29Speaker 1: renditional Try Jesus was just amazing. So thank y'all. Shirley
- 10:33Speaker 1: straw Berry, Good morning, Steve, Happy Monday for real. I
- 10:41Speaker 1: love how you sing my name. I am here, good morning.
- 10:44Speaker 1: See what's up crew? That damn junior boy? Every time
- 10:49Speaker 1: you call j Anthony Brown. I'm not hire often, but
- 10:54Speaker 1: I'm here. I'm not here a lot, but I'm here.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Not you say that right? No, I'm aware that I'm
- 11:00Speaker 1: whereverybody good. Huh. I have no idea, no idea looking
- 11:08Speaker 1: at No, No, you can't he's not here. If he's
- 11:13Speaker 1: not here, it must be that he's doing something very important,
- 11:18Speaker 1: very important, very what he got? What what what he
- 11:24Speaker 1: got that's more important than his job? He looked, he
- 11:29Speaker 1: didn't run it by me. What he was he got nothing?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Pay more than this, right than you? Nothing? I'm telling
- 11:35Speaker 1: you is I know him. We ain't got nothing, pay
- 11:39Speaker 1: more than this. Got to be very Okay, what's going on?
- 11:45Speaker 1: How you doing that? Yeah? Yeah, because you keep saying yeah, yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I'm through talking. Because you said he had something very
- 11:57Speaker 1: important to do and what he got that's more important
- 12:01Speaker 1: than this hill. I'm Steve Joe Biden. I know he's
- 12:04Speaker 1: supposed to pick a woman. Maybe he's changed his mind.
- 12:06Speaker 1: He's gonna pick Tommy. That's the only thing I could
- 12:08Speaker 1: see that's more important. It would really be hard for
- 12:14Speaker 1: me to pull that handle for Joe bidden. Yeah, maybe
- 12:17Speaker 1: he got word Jesus is coming back. That's the only
- 12:19Speaker 1: thing I could see that You're saying, Joe Biden chooses Tommy,
- 12:23Speaker 1: all bets are off? Is that what you're saying. I'm
- 12:26Speaker 1: saying I would vote for him, but it would be
- 12:31Speaker 1: really hard because other than the person that's in the
- 12:35Speaker 1: White House right now, Tommy would be the third worst
- 12:39Speaker 1: person to be in that White House. But at right
- 12:44Speaker 1: after the one that's in that it's two people that
- 12:46Speaker 1: ain't got no business in that white House. Seen, Tommy,
- 12:49Speaker 1: you have nothing to say to that. I'm just waiting
- 12:52Speaker 1: to eat any because i know I'm gonna get cut up. Okay,
- 12:55Speaker 1: here's the two people that don't need to be in
- 13:00Speaker 1: the White House, Tommy and Kanye. I need the one
- 13:06Speaker 1: of them need to be. It don't sound right to
- 13:10Speaker 1: nobody saying the fact that you put Tommy with Kanye.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I'm ashamed. I'm a you said you the wan said Kanye,
- 13:20Speaker 1: we're gonna pick Tommy. All's running me. I didn't see ye.
- 13:25Speaker 1: That's an inso that is all right. Sorry, this is
- 13:28Speaker 1: a fascinating conversation, but we really have to move on.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Coming up with thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:35Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and we'll
- 13:38Speaker 1: have Asked the Cello with the Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steven Show. All right, Steve,
- 13:48Speaker 1: time now for one of your favorite segments. It could
- 13:51Speaker 1: be very well, your very favorite segment. It's called Asked
- 13:54Speaker 1: the Cello. You are the Chief Love Officer of course.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Uh and uh. If you have a question for our CLO,
- 14:01Speaker 1: you can submit your question, or, as Tommy calls it,
- 14:04Speaker 1: the Cloe. You can submit your questions at Steve HARVEYFM
- 14:08Speaker 1: dot com. Are you ready, Cloe? Here we go. This
- 14:13Speaker 1: one is from Lorna in Hawaii. She says, I got
- 14:16Speaker 1: married six months ago and my husband is totally a
- 14:19Speaker 1: different man now. We dated for two years and he
- 14:22Speaker 1: was my protector and king. We rarely argued, and if
- 14:26Speaker 1: we did, we got over it. Since marriage, we've had
- 14:30Speaker 1: a few squabbles and now when it gets heated, my
- 14:34Speaker 1: husband starts crying. He says he can't stand to see
- 14:38Speaker 1: me disappointed and he does not want to fail as
- 14:41Speaker 1: a husband. He's done it a few times and it's
- 14:44Speaker 1: a turn off. I end up hugging him so he'll
- 14:47Speaker 1: stop crying and relax. I can't discuss issues with a
- 14:51Speaker 1: cry baby. How can I get him to man up
- 14:54Speaker 1: and stop acting like a child? Go getting a drive off?
- 15:01Speaker 1: He'll start just leave. Yeah. See, let me tell you something.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Men who do that do that like kids fourteen. I'm
- 15:10Speaker 1: crying because I don't want to hurt you. I don't
- 15:13Speaker 1: want to see you disappointed. I don't want to fail
- 15:15Speaker 1: as a hookman. So that's his way of being deep.
- 15:18Speaker 1: When he started crying, just say, oh lord and go
- 15:21Speaker 1: get in the car, drive off, leaving right there he
- 15:24Speaker 1: will stop crying. Really, what you for? Help? There's no
- 15:30Speaker 1: way to fix this. You can't talk a guy to
- 15:32Speaker 1: crying who wants to cry? You know, get you know,
- 15:37Speaker 1: I mean, look, you know, look that this ain't no movie.
- 15:43Speaker 1: If there's no movie playing, he shouldn't just be crying,
- 15:48Speaker 1: you know. Now this is Brian, so Brian's song, and
- 15:51Speaker 1: he said he picked I love you pick I cry. Yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: where you get, Brian say, every man on the show
- 16:02Speaker 1: has cried at some point. So wrong for crying, because man, please,
- 16:11Speaker 1: I ain't never cry for disappoint nobody better get over mistakes,
- 16:20Speaker 1: all right, So you are the advice from Steve Laura.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Get in the car and drive off when he starts crying. Okay,
- 16:27Speaker 1: oh goodness, I know that's what he said, all right.
- 16:30Speaker 1: This one's from Kenisha. She's an online listener. Steve uh
- 16:34Speaker 1: Kanisha says, I recently ended a four year relationship, but
- 16:38Speaker 1: my ex's family wants to stay in contact with me.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I developed a bond with most of his family members,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and we spent a lot of time together over the years.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I feel closer to most of them than my own family.
- 16:50Speaker 1: But I do not want to cause any problems with
- 16:52Speaker 1: my ex. I have tried to make sure he's working
- 16:55Speaker 1: or not around if I stop by the visit, and
- 16:57Speaker 1: I'm not sure if this will affect my new relationship.
- 17:00Speaker 1: And I feel like I'm sneaking around. Is it wrong
- 17:03Speaker 1: to stay in touch with my ex's family? No, The
- 17:07Speaker 1: reason they staying in touch because you the best thing
- 17:10Speaker 1: ever happened to him. That's what the problem is. And
- 17:14Speaker 1: they're just hoping to God he pulled his stupid ass
- 17:17Speaker 1: together and realize what he did. And they don't want
- 17:22Speaker 1: you too far gone. So they they're hoping for because
- 17:25Speaker 1: he dumb, that he'd have done dumb things before. So yeah,
- 17:30Speaker 1: this this ain't nothing you did. If you had cheated
- 17:32Speaker 1: on him and the family and cut you out, this
- 17:34Speaker 1: is what they know. He ain't about nothing. Okay, but
- 17:38Speaker 1: she's a really in a new relationship. Well, you've in
- 17:40Speaker 1: a new relationship is gonna hurt you because when he
- 17:43Speaker 1: finds out you over there at your ex's house, he
- 17:45Speaker 1: gonna want he gonna figure. You know what I mean,
- 17:47Speaker 1: what's what you're still over? Get in your car and
- 17:50Speaker 1: drive off a little just like asked you about it.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Get in your car. I love to see y'all. All right,
- 18:02Speaker 1: Uh this last one time I can ask him a
- 18:12Speaker 1: question about the crying. Can you drive off? If you
- 18:16Speaker 1: drive off when he's crying and you come back and
- 18:19Speaker 1: he's still crying, what do you take another lap round
- 18:24Speaker 1: the block, right back in the car. Yeah, the point
- 18:30Speaker 1: is for her not to be in the house when
- 18:32Speaker 1: he's crying. YEA, sounded like my daddy's motto was you're
- 18:38Speaker 1: gonna either get over it or you're gonna die. Man. Yes, yes, okay,
- 18:44Speaker 1: Steve Cello. This is from Camille in Newark, New Jersey.
- 18:47Speaker 1: She says, I have a three year old son that
- 18:50Speaker 1: I adore and I have spoiled completely. I just had
- 18:53Speaker 1: my second child, and my son is totally jealous. I
- 18:58Speaker 1: tried to explain to him about the new baby, but
- 19:01Speaker 1: all he said was I'm the baby. Now. He yells
- 19:04Speaker 1: at the baby and has tantrums when I'm feeding, bathing,
- 19:08Speaker 1: or just holding the baby. He's been insisting that I
- 19:11Speaker 1: hold him like a newborn. We don't yell at him
- 19:14Speaker 1: or punish him because he simply doesn't understand what's going on.
- 19:18Speaker 1: How can we stop the tantrums and the jealousy. Wait
- 19:22Speaker 1: a minute, First of all, how does he not understand
- 19:25Speaker 1: what's going on? Yeah, he knows exactly what's going on.
- 19:29Speaker 1: It ain't about me no more. He didn't figure that out.
- 19:33Speaker 1: And this little whatever, this he is, even bought in
- 19:36Speaker 1: him all of a sudden, it's sucking up my time. Yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna have as soon as you ain't looking, I'm
- 19:42Speaker 1: gonna do something here. See. So now what you got
- 19:46Speaker 1: to do is you got to snatch his ass up.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Now you've spoiled me completely. They're doing. It's okay to
- 19:52Speaker 1: adore your children, absolutely nothing more would do in your children,
- 19:55Speaker 1: most parents do. But he has to adore this newborn baby.
- 19:59Speaker 1: He has a school make room for him. So you
- 20:01Speaker 1: had to have some real conversations with this baby right
- 20:04Speaker 1: here and let him know that how important the little
- 20:08Speaker 1: baby is to him, you know, make him a part
- 20:11Speaker 1: of raising the baby. You got to hold your little brother,
- 20:13Speaker 1: your little sister. You got to be calling your little
- 20:15Speaker 1: brother and your little sister counting on you. He needs you.
- 20:18Speaker 1: You know, make him feel like he's responsible for something
- 20:21Speaker 1: instead of somebody always responsible for him. You got to
- 20:25Speaker 1: include him in the family diameter. But he said, he
- 20:28Speaker 1: say one more thing about the baby room. Knock his
- 20:29Speaker 1: ass crossed? Thank you sell or just getting the car
- 20:35Speaker 1: and drive off, yeah with the baby. Yeah at the house.
- 20:42Speaker 1: All right. Listen, Coming up next Church Complaints with the
- 20:45Speaker 1: Reverend Motown and very special guests, Reverend Adnoid. Wow. Right
- 20:49Speaker 1: after this you're listening. Coming up at the top of
- 20:55Speaker 1: the hour, Miss Anna's here with today's national news. Yesterday
- 20:58Speaker 1: there was a powerful point one earthquake that jolted North Carolina. Wow.
- 21:04Speaker 1: At the top of the hour and entertainment news, we'll
- 21:06Speaker 1: talk about the new video that's out with Kurdie b
- 21:09Speaker 1: and Magna Stallion with Carla. But today is Monday. Reverend
- 21:13Speaker 1: Motown is here digging depth, jam Alpin. Reverend Adnoid We
- 21:18Speaker 1: we are gonna have a special complaint. Dec we are
- 21:24Speaker 1: my older brother sitting in for deacon death jail. My
- 21:31Speaker 1: older brother broke out from under his tutelage and became
- 21:38Speaker 1: the world renowned Reverend Motown. That I'm here is today. Boy,
- 21:44Speaker 1: As you can tell the reason my brother was unable
- 21:47Speaker 1: to make it to the upper tier of ministry and
- 21:52Speaker 1: be as popular as I am because he has a
- 21:55Speaker 1: nasal condition or NAIs, and it has all prohabited him
- 22:04Speaker 1: from making it hobbled him greatly. They can't understand him.
- 22:09Speaker 1: He is doing the best he can with trust, complaint
- 22:14Speaker 1: had knowing anim man, Oh hero, you are so absolutely right.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Breathing held me back. You're absolutely right. But I've already
- 22:24Speaker 1: explained that. I'm just saying it. I'm amenuted. So what
- 22:28Speaker 1: I have here in my head is complaints as announcements.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I have both. I have complaints and today are It's
- 22:38Speaker 1: just we'll go ahead. I'm not gonna be okay. Stop.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Here is my first announcement. This is not a complaint.
- 22:46Speaker 1: This is an announcement. If you have an aunt that
- 22:49Speaker 1: looks like fifty cents in your insted in being a
- 22:53Speaker 1: stunt devil, please see Sister Roneil after service. I have
- 22:59Speaker 1: an earnt that looks like fifty since you're instant in
- 23:04Speaker 1: being a stunt them it is a new movie, you see.
- 23:09Speaker 1: You can run the right up. Oh, I know it.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I would like to volunteer. I don't have an auntie,
- 23:17Speaker 1: but three of the choir members or in the auto
- 23:22Speaker 1: section the ones, all three of them, the ones that
- 23:28Speaker 1: stands right next to the tenor sects. I have been
- 23:32Speaker 1: confused several times. Please all put them in the movie
- 23:36Speaker 1: or at least a trial. Thank you, go ahead. That
- 23:39Speaker 1: was an announcement. Just one is a complaint, so that
- 23:42Speaker 1: they don't be confused. This is an announcement. The black
- 23:45Speaker 1: church members are mad at the white church members because
- 23:49Speaker 1: they know all the words to the Negro National Anthem.
- 23:53Speaker 1: They are upset that the white church members know all
- 23:56Speaker 1: the words to the National Negro Anthem and they don't.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Because we want you to settle this argument. Why are
- 24:03Speaker 1: the upset with them? We have had this own going
- 24:11Speaker 1: problem for a while. Oh, all of our white members
- 24:17Speaker 1: that have come from adjacent ad joining congregations are used
- 24:25Speaker 1: to singing from hymn books. Therefore they all sang the
- 24:30Speaker 1: Negro Spiritual from a hymn book and practice it and
- 24:35Speaker 1: knew the words. None of us know the words. As
- 24:38Speaker 1: I sang the Negro National Anthem. By the time I
- 24:41Speaker 1: get diverse three, I am horribly depressed, no longer motivated
- 24:51Speaker 1: to even be a Negro. You hate them most uplifting song.
- 25:02Speaker 1: It is not a run. So are you listening to that?
- 25:07Speaker 1: A lot of paid and overcoming, and that a lot
- 25:10Speaker 1: of it wasn't overcoming it being to that even Lord,
- 25:15Speaker 1: the church members are complaining that this is another complaint
- 25:18Speaker 1: of complaining that since they're using their own communion one
- 25:23Speaker 1: to have communion, when you replace it with the more
- 25:27Speaker 1: expensive type of wine, they're us the cheap one, and
- 25:30Speaker 1: they weren't you sending them a better grade of wine.
- 25:36Speaker 1: So we are doing communion over a zoom for COVID reasons.
- 25:42Speaker 1: So whatever it is you're using at your house, we're
- 25:45Speaker 1: allowing you to use. Now, I'm God must inform several
- 25:50Speaker 1: people I have been watching these zoom called closely wine.
- 25:56Speaker 1: It's what we're supposed to use, the representative of the
- 25:59Speaker 1: blood hood. All the brown and clear beverages that I'm
- 26:04Speaker 1: seeing on zoom gonna have to stop. It's too much.
- 26:12Speaker 1: As you turn it up. It's not wine. No red
- 26:16Speaker 1: burgunder Merlot, none of that. I'm seeing a lot of
- 26:22Speaker 1: and a lot of expressions after the war after they drinking.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Doesn't say wine, that ain't wine. That's not a wine.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Sound that's not a wine. White man, bite man is
- 26:42Speaker 1: not a one go ahead. Pounding your chest is not
- 26:46Speaker 1: a wine sound when you want to be killed. This
- 26:53Speaker 1: is a complaint. Lake Church members are tuning into zoom
- 26:59Speaker 1: and it would like to complain not complaining about your
- 27:02Speaker 1: background in background is na. There's a lot of books
- 27:05Speaker 1: but that you have read and they're happy with that.
- 27:07Speaker 1: But it won't since we have to see the same
- 27:10Speaker 1: background every week. Would you be interested in moving from
- 27:15Speaker 1: week to week to a different room just to get
- 27:17Speaker 1: him another look? It would that be something you beauty,
- 27:20Speaker 1: didn't do it? No, that's not what we're gonna do.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Ain't nobody doing all that? No, I got that camera
- 27:30Speaker 1: set in a location that conduced to make me look
- 27:35Speaker 1: more intellectual. While we're gonna lead them books back now,
- 27:42Speaker 1: and I'll tell you what. We're gonna have a contest
- 27:45Speaker 1: next week and anyone can name the title of all
- 27:49Speaker 1: the books behind me all of what you get, and
- 27:55Speaker 1: the first person can do that is gonna win something.
- 28:00Speaker 1: But I haven't decided you because it ain't nobody gonna win,
- 28:06Speaker 1: because I ain't gonna move out the way for some
- 28:08Speaker 1: of them times, I go ahead, go ahead. The senior
- 28:17Speaker 1: the senior flip phone choir would like to know when
- 28:19Speaker 1: you set sometime aside for them to sing next week.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I've seen you flip phone chi, did you please search sometime? Said,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I have told them that they're not opening their phones
- 28:35Speaker 1: up and getting the right text messages to the words.
- 28:38Speaker 1: They're all singing different songs, and until they get out smartphone,
- 28:44Speaker 1: we're not gonna handy them man songs. All right, ladies
- 28:52Speaker 1: and gentlemen. That is church complaints from Reverend Motown and
- 28:56Speaker 1: his brother, Reverend ADNOI coming up at the top of
- 28:59Speaker 1: the hour. We'll have some entertainment and national news right
- 29:02Speaker 1: after this. You're listening in the entertainment news, Nick Cannon
- 29:09Speaker 1: says he is going to vote for none other than
- 29:12Speaker 1: guess who's Steve. This fool said he voted for Kanye
- 29:18Speaker 1: He said it, He's voting for Kanye West. This was
- 29:21Speaker 1: while he was in the airport n LA. TMZ asked
- 29:25Speaker 1: him what did he think about Kanye running for president.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Nick responded, I love it, and I'm going to vote
- 29:30Speaker 1: for him because we need another black man in power.
- 29:35Speaker 1: You know what, not it's not a black meat in power.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I think I think Kanye was in power when he
- 29:45Speaker 1: started these gospel choad the church. I think he was
- 29:50Speaker 1: in power with these Jeezys and Adidas. I think he's
- 29:53Speaker 1: doing great work. And uh, you know this here this
- 29:56Speaker 1: this president run this to take vote to from Biden,
- 30:00Speaker 1: which you understand he just said he wanted to do. Well,
- 30:04Speaker 1: Then what you're saying is you're doing this just so
- 30:07Speaker 1: Trump can be president. And if that's what you're you're
- 30:10Speaker 1: you're not doing this to win, You're doing this to
- 30:13Speaker 1: take votes away from Biden. That's that's brother. Do you
- 30:20Speaker 1: understand what's happening in this world? Hey, let me tell
- 30:24Speaker 1: y'all something. If y'all want to understand what's really you
- 30:28Speaker 1: should watch this special on Netflix about immigration. Okay, Netflix
- 30:34Speaker 1: is trending. It's called immigration something. I don't have an
- 30:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna look it up, but buddy, let me tell
- 30:39Speaker 1: you something. I watched it over the weekend. Oh my goodness.
- 30:43Speaker 1: What the Trump administration when he first got in and
- 30:47Speaker 1: he stopped all of those it used to be, you know,
- 30:50Speaker 1: isis was here to collect illegals that were in this
- 30:54Speaker 1: country that we had criminal records and warrants and stuff.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Immigration nation. Yeah, then the focus right after he got
- 31:02Speaker 1: in it became jess all all in, everybody everybody, go,
- 31:10Speaker 1: get everybody, and man, it's some horrible stories on there
- 31:15Speaker 1: about is. We have to check it out. It's some
- 31:17Speaker 1: horrible stories. Man. All right, well, Nick, at least Kanye
- 31:22Speaker 1: knows he can depend on Nick's vote. But we're moving on.
- 31:26Speaker 1: We know what to do. Please go to when we
- 31:28Speaker 1: all vote, dot org and registers so we can make
- 31:31Speaker 1: sure that we are counted this election. Also, um, Carla,
- 31:37Speaker 1: you have a big news story for US music news
- 31:40Speaker 1: story for US. It's trending. Huh, it's been trendish early.
- 31:43Speaker 1: We talked about it off the air. Holl word. Oh
- 31:46Speaker 1: oh wait, guess before you do that. Yes, I was.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I was reading something. I think it's important for our
- 31:51Speaker 1: listeners to notice. Hey, man, y'all, we ain't got no
- 31:55Speaker 1: time for this. We ain't got no time for him,
- 31:57Speaker 1: for Nick Cannon with this foolishness. If you take votes
- 32:01Speaker 1: away from Biden, you're not going to be president. You're
- 32:05Speaker 1: handing it to Donald Trump. This is sick, man. Yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 1: we so we're so stupid. Come on, Carley, you had
- 32:13Speaker 1: music news. Go ahead. I'm sorry, I just okay, you
- 32:18Speaker 1: could say what you want to say. That's a damn shame.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Very important that's very important what you're saying, because it's
- 32:24Speaker 1: not a game, and folks have to take this very seriously. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:28Speaker 1: the countdown is on. Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Ann Tripp.
- 32:34Speaker 1: This is entered with the News. In the wake of
- 32:36Speaker 1: last Tuesday's massive and deadly warehouse explosion at Bay Routes Airport,
- 32:40Speaker 1: at least six Elevenese lawmakers and one cabinet member have
- 32:43Speaker 1: resigned here in this country. According to JOHNS Hopkins University,
- 32:47Speaker 1: coronavirus cases in the US have now topped five million,
- 32:51Speaker 1: and since the Congress hasn't come to any agreement, President
- 32:54Speaker 1: Trump decided to sign some executive orders over the weekend.
- 32:57Speaker 1: One suspends payments on some student loans to the end
- 33:00Speaker 1: of this year. One prevents renters from being evicted from
- 33:03Speaker 1: federal housing. Another one instructs employers to defer certain payroll
- 33:07Speaker 1: taxes for people earning less than one hundred thousand dollars
- 33:10Speaker 1: a year. You know that contributors to Social Security those
- 33:12Speaker 1: payroll taxes, and the last one provides an additional three
- 33:16Speaker 1: to four hundred dollars a week and extra unemployment benefits. However,
- 33:19Speaker 1: critics say the president don't have the power to tell
- 33:21Speaker 1: the Congress how to spend the country's money. He wants
- 33:23Speaker 1: to use FEMA disaster money instead, which would provide the
- 33:26Speaker 1: extra three hundred or four hundred dollars, with the idea
- 33:29Speaker 1: that the states would have to request the FEMA money,
- 33:32Speaker 1: contribute to the pot, and then administer. When he was
- 33:35Speaker 1: a lot of governors say that doesn't sound good, and
- 33:37Speaker 1: some of the other executive orders that he signed, a
- 33:40Speaker 1: lot of other governors is saying that he can't do that.
- 33:42Speaker 1: By the way, the President was in Ohio over the
- 33:44Speaker 1: weekend and laid out part of his reelection strategy, which
- 33:47Speaker 1: is trying to convince people that lifelong Catholic Joe Biden
- 33:50Speaker 1: hates God. He's following the radical left agenda. Take away
- 33:55Speaker 1: your guns, destroy your Second Amendment, No, let you know anything,
- 34:02Speaker 1: hurt the Bible, hurt God. He's against God, He's against guns,
- 34:07Speaker 1: he's against energy. Yeah. In Kentucky, Oprah Winfrey has paid
- 34:12Speaker 1: for twenty six billboards with the face of Brianna Taylor
- 34:15Speaker 1: on them. Twenty six because Brianna was only twenty six
- 34:17Speaker 1: when she was shot to death in her Louisville home
- 34:20Speaker 1: by three cops who burst in mistakenly looking for some
- 34:23Speaker 1: drug suspect. You know. Brianna Taylor was an emergency medical technician,
- 34:27Speaker 1: young black lady. All three reportedly filed false paperwork about
- 34:31Speaker 1: the incident, claiming there was nobody died, they didn't burst
- 34:34Speaker 1: in a whole lot of stuff. The copies of the
- 34:36Speaker 1: paperwork were online, you could see how they lied. Yet
- 34:39Speaker 1: only one of them has been called on the carpet
- 34:41Speaker 1: the billboards read their quote, if you turn a blind
- 34:43Speaker 1: either racism, you become an accomplice to it. That's what says.
- 34:49Speaker 1: A judge in Minneapolis has ordered the body camp footage
- 34:51Speaker 1: of two of the now fired cops involved in the
- 34:53Speaker 1: knee on his neck police killing of George Floyd to
- 34:56Speaker 1: be released to the public. The videos contained more than
- 34:59Speaker 1: an hour of and apparently show a more complete account
- 35:02Speaker 1: of the CoP's actions and what e ms did and
- 35:05Speaker 1: did not do when they got to the scene. A
- 35:08Speaker 1: strong earthquake rout on much of North Carolina yesterday was
- 35:10Speaker 1: a magnitude five point one Shaker, located just south of Sparta,
- 35:14Speaker 1: was felt all the way from Virginia, all the way
- 35:16Speaker 1: down to Atlanta, and finally today as Nashville loved those
- 35:19Speaker 1: cookies day. You can eat mine cookies, but they cook
- 35:22Speaker 1: it down. Now, okay, sorry, Now back to the Steve
- 35:27Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show. Steve introduced your boy,
- 35:33Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. For those of you who don't know
- 35:36Speaker 1: him like I do, I want you all to prepare
- 35:39Speaker 1: yourself to take a look into the mind of the obscure,
- 35:47Speaker 1: absurd and twisted but funny mind of Jay Anthony Brown.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Come with Jay, what do you have for us today?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Everybody has been in this situation. You're having an argument,
- 36:00Speaker 1: a full blown argument with somebody. All of a sudden,
- 36:04Speaker 1: the argument goes into a territory that's surprising to you,
- 36:08Speaker 1: and they start to run off phrases and that's why.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with the argument. But you
- 36:16Speaker 1: go in to that's why you know, you have an
- 36:19Speaker 1: argument about money and dash why and and that's why
- 36:23Speaker 1: your uncle with the jail, Yeah that's why. Yeah? Oh yeah, okay,
- 36:34Speaker 1: and that's why your sois got a new disease. H
- 36:38Speaker 1: oh my god, what what makes you even matter? Yeah? Okay, yeah, okay,
- 36:48Speaker 1: you so smart. That's why y'all cable got cut off?
- 36:54Speaker 1: Boom do the argument? Yeah, yeah, yes, you so smart.
- 37:03Speaker 1: That's why your stepdaddy got a chip too. Wow. And
- 37:12Speaker 1: that's why your big brother stayed back in college and
- 37:15Speaker 1: then city. That's why you don't have a degree. That
- 37:23Speaker 1: that that's why, that's why Perchie beat your daddy. Ass.
- 37:28Speaker 1: He's in it now you. He loves to get in it. Pantiness.
- 37:32Speaker 1: You know that guy? I tell you something else to
- 37:34Speaker 1: That's why no, no, no, no, you stopped talking to me.
- 37:37Speaker 1: That's why I don't even like your mama. Yeah too far, Junior,
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, all right, And that's why y'all
- 37:51Speaker 1: got miss match covers all in your house. How what happened?
- 38:03Speaker 1: And that's and that's why y'all refrigerator freezer, don't make ice?
- 38:08Speaker 1: How I got war just room temperature drinks. I'm sick
- 38:18Speaker 1: all this. That's why. That's that's why Kanye and Nick
- 38:21Speaker 1: gonna win. We're don't wear what President? All right, thank
- 38:34Speaker 1: you guys, thank you. Jay. Coming up at thirty four
- 38:37Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, the President signed an executive order
- 38:40Speaker 1: for COVID nineteen relief. We'll talk about that right after this.
- 38:44Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Morning Show. All right, here's
- 38:48Speaker 1: the question, what is going on after recent talks have
- 38:51Speaker 1: failed with both Republicans and Democrats for a second wave
- 38:55Speaker 1: of COVID nineteen relief aid. This past Saturday, President Trump
- 38:59Speaker 1: signed and executive order to implement certain parts of the
- 39:02Speaker 1: stimulus package. However, Democrats and how Speaker Nancy Pelosi said,
- 39:07Speaker 1: this executive order comes with strings attached and illusions. Well,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, look, I mean one of the
- 39:20Speaker 1: things what the stimulus package I was to my understanding
- 39:23Speaker 1: was they reduced it hundred to four hundred. Yeah, they
- 39:27Speaker 1: had it at two hundred. The Democrats was fighting so
- 39:30Speaker 1: hard to get people more than two hundred a week.
- 39:33Speaker 1: The Republicans refused to give six hundred because to say
- 39:36Speaker 1: there wasn't incentivizing people to go back to work. But
- 39:40Speaker 1: here's the problem, there's no work to go back to.
- 39:44Speaker 1: That's that's a trick statement to make. A person getting
- 39:47Speaker 1: six hundred dollars a month don't want to go back
- 39:49Speaker 1: to work. Their restaurant is closed, their store is closed,
- 39:53Speaker 1: the shop is closed, but their work has gone. Yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 1: they make it seem like they were just sitting at
- 39:58Speaker 1: home collecting checks and if they didn't have these check
- 40:01Speaker 1: they're going back to work. Right, you can't go back
- 40:04Speaker 1: to work. And know what I'm saying was the governors
- 40:12Speaker 1: have to sign in. They have to sign off on
- 40:15Speaker 1: it too, because the state has to contribute to it
- 40:18Speaker 1: as well. Yeah, it's it's strings attached, just like the Democrats.
- 40:24Speaker 1: So if you're a governor you don't agree, then what happens.
- 40:27Speaker 1: And the governors have to go along with it because
- 40:31Speaker 1: it's the stimulus package. Even though it's a stimulus, it's
- 40:35Speaker 1: still contributions coming from the state level, and the state
- 40:40Speaker 1: is getting hit with this high levels of unemployment. The
- 40:44Speaker 1: unemployment levels have skyrocketing and it's bankrupting the unemployment system. Yes, yes, sir,
- 40:52Speaker 1: yes sir, yes, yes, it's just it's so crazy. Um
- 40:56Speaker 1: And other political news, Joe Biden says he wills his
- 41:00Speaker 1: vice president vice presidential pick this week. We all want
- 41:04Speaker 1: to know what we have a black woman as as
- 41:07Speaker 1: vice presidential nominee. Okay, people are asking, um. Word has
- 41:13Speaker 1: it that Biden's top three picks are Senator Kamala Harris,
- 41:16Speaker 1: former United Nations Ambassador and Obama advisor Susan Rice, and
- 41:21Speaker 1: Representative Karen Bass from Los Angeles. She's also the chair
- 41:26Speaker 1: of the Congressional Black Caucus, and uh, honestly, honestly, I
- 41:32Speaker 1: just need him to pick someone that's going to win. Yeah,
- 41:36Speaker 1: it's going to help him. Karen Rice. The Republicans, Susan
- 41:42Speaker 1: Rice would love for her because then they're gonna throw
- 41:45Speaker 1: that beings and all that stuff up in their face.
- 41:48Speaker 1: They love for that. Yeah, Kamala Harris looks like the
- 41:53Speaker 1: leading candidate. And the third one surely Karen Bass. Karen Bass, yeah,
- 41:59Speaker 1: from the had a big Congressional Black caucus. She's a
- 42:02Speaker 1: Democrat from Los Angeles, and she right, you know who
- 42:06Speaker 1: I like who making the Stallion's whole Cardie b such
- 42:14Speaker 1: you know something too, see like uh, I don't know
- 42:18Speaker 1: if Nick Cannon was joking or what, but when they
- 42:21Speaker 1: stopped in an airport and they asked him, he said,
- 42:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna vote for Kanye because we need another black
- 42:26Speaker 1: man in power. I'm all for black people being in power.
- 42:30Speaker 1: True statement. Yeah, okay, but it but it has to
- 42:33Speaker 1: be the right person, you know. Yeah, I mean, you know,
- 42:36Speaker 1: I love to see black people uplifted and exalted to
- 42:40Speaker 1: high positions, but also would like for you to be qualified.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Kanye is running simply you all to detract vote. Listen
- 42:51Speaker 1: to what Ruted Giuliani just said. He think that trumps
- 42:55Speaker 1: he thinks that Kanye is still secretly a Trump Admira,
- 42:59Speaker 1: he's running detached votes from Joe Bright. Y'all, this is
- 43:06Speaker 1: we ain't got time for this, and if you do,
- 43:09Speaker 1: then Trump is back in the office again. Y'all, this
- 43:13Speaker 1: can't happen. Kaw Kanye don't see this. I don't think
- 43:18Speaker 1: he's that off. I think Kanye knows exactly what did.
- 43:22Speaker 1: He's not running. He's gonna walk in. No, you're not,
- 43:26Speaker 1: and President, you ain't even got a campaign ad out?
- 43:31Speaker 1: All right? Coming up next, the nephew isn't here, but
- 43:35Speaker 1: Junior is here for the prank phone call right after
- 43:38Speaker 1: this you're listening show coming up at the top of
- 43:44Speaker 1: the hour, about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter
- 43:47Speaker 1: for today, subject why is he going through my dirty clothes? Okay, wow, yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 1: why yeah? Why is he going out of my dirty clothes?
- 43:56Speaker 1: All right? The Strawberry letters coming up. We'll find out
- 43:59Speaker 1: right now. Out Junior is in for the nephew with
- 44:01Speaker 1: today's praying phone call. What you got Junior shirltte invitation
- 44:05Speaker 1: to the party invitation the party. Hello. Uh, you know,
- 44:16Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Danny. Yeah, what's up to Danny? Hey, Danny,
- 44:19Speaker 1: how you doing. My name is Paul Man. How you

- 50:00Speaker 1: A number one? Man? Hey, y'all, can I say this.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I don't plank seeing there, but I'm really getting more
- 50:15Speaker 1: and more ticked off about this Kanye running for president
- 50:18Speaker 1: Because you know, I was talking with Carla off the air,
- 50:21Speaker 1: and Colli made an excellent point. Kanye is a billionaire.
- 50:26Speaker 1: It ain't gonna matter to him who in the White
- 50:29Speaker 1: House he run and playing all these games because he
- 50:32Speaker 1: got a billion to play with. And then whoever making
- 50:36Speaker 1: in the White House what he cared. He got a
- 50:39Speaker 1: billion dollars to fix his life up any kind of
- 50:41Speaker 1: way he wants to. There are people who are suffering
- 50:46Speaker 1: because of this man's immigration policies. Look at the immigration
- 50:50Speaker 1: special on Netflix. Man, I'm telling you, it is heartbreaking.
- 50:53Speaker 1: All those Latino men sitting in prison that don't know
- 50:56Speaker 1: where their children are. That they were taking a three
- 50:59Speaker 1: year old, taken, a seven year old, taken, eleven year old,
- 51:03Speaker 1: just taken. Day in the shelter, the kids just crying
- 51:06Speaker 1: in this shelter, the people talking to him crazy, telling
- 51:10Speaker 1: these kids you will never see your parents again, These
- 51:13Speaker 1: evil ass people. And so then you got that going on.
- 51:17Speaker 1: You got the Docker program that shut down, you got
- 51:20Speaker 1: the travel ban on Muslims. You've got all of these
- 51:23Speaker 1: things right here. And then he tried to throw up
- 51:25Speaker 1: in your face like he didn't done so much for
- 51:26Speaker 1: African American prison reform. I'm not in prison. You ain't
- 51:30Speaker 1: done a damn thing for me. You ain't done to
- 51:34Speaker 1: stop talking about because you passed the prison reform bill
- 51:38Speaker 1: that you've done so much for African Americans. Excuse me, partner,
- 51:41Speaker 1: The majority of us have never ever been to prison,
- 51:44Speaker 1: nor will we ever go to prison? And cabet and
- 51:49Speaker 1: writing or wrong. You don't get cheering, you don't get
- 51:52Speaker 1: crackers for that. You don't get paraded for writing and injustice.
- 51:57Speaker 1: It shouldn't have happened anyway. And now Kanye, with this
- 52:01Speaker 1: foolishness talking about it, he's running for president. Nick Cannon.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I would vote for him because we need another black
- 52:08Speaker 1: man in power partner, not a game, y'all. This is
- 52:13Speaker 1: not a time for this here. Kanye got a billion dollars, man,
- 52:17Speaker 1: he can live any kind of way he wants to.
- 52:19Speaker 1: We have to vote for the masses, the people who
- 52:22Speaker 1: are affected by policy, who have to spend their life
- 52:26Speaker 1: man based on what the government do. Front who are
- 52:29Speaker 1: out of work because of COVID nineteen. Kanye a out
- 52:33Speaker 1: of work. Yeah, listen to me, y'all. When you got
- 52:37Speaker 1: a billion, you can sit it out. You can't. Eighty
- 52:40Speaker 1: five days until November thirty election. Go to when we
- 52:43Speaker 1: all vote dot org please? All right? Coming up next
- 52:46Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. We'll get into its subject. Why is he
- 52:49Speaker 1: going through my dirty clothes? Right after this, you're listening
- 52:54Speaker 1: to Steven Show all right. Time now for today's Strawberry
- 52:59Speaker 1: Letter and listen. If you need advice on relationships, on dating, work, sex, parenting,
- 53:04Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve HARVEYFM
- 53:07Speaker 1: dot com and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could be
- 53:10Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 53:13Speaker 1: going to read this one right here, right now. All right,
- 53:16Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the Strawberry Letter with
- 53:18Speaker 1: my good friends. Shirley straw Thank you, junior. Subject, why
- 53:23Speaker 1: is he going through my dirty clothes? Dear Stephen, Shirley,
- 53:27Speaker 1: When you read my letter, I know you're going to
- 53:29Speaker 1: think my boyfriend and I are young. But I am
- 53:32Speaker 1: forty three and he is forty eight. We've been dating
- 53:36Speaker 1: for two years, and he is extremely intelligent. We both
- 53:40Speaker 1: love the Lord, and we have stable careers. So here's
- 53:43Speaker 1: the problem. I still go out with my girlfriends and
- 53:46Speaker 1: maintain a social life. Whenever I'm out, I'm not constantly
- 53:50Speaker 1: checking my phone because I want to stay present with
- 53:52Speaker 1: my friends. This was pre quarantine, so my boyfriend would
- 53:56Speaker 1: want to know where I went, what I ate drank,
- 54:00Speaker 1: who was there, and what kind of men were there.
- 54:02Speaker 1: I haven't had the chance to hang with my friends
- 54:04Speaker 1: and months. So we got together last month and I
- 54:07Speaker 1: had a great time, drank too much and got home
- 54:10Speaker 1: too late. My boyfriend called me three times, and each
- 54:13Speaker 1: time I answered and told him I was fine and
- 54:16Speaker 1: enjoying myself. I got home, showered, and passed out. Early.
- 54:22Speaker 1: The next morning, my boyfriend popped up at my house.
- 54:25Speaker 1: He said he is convinced that I'm cheating because my
- 54:29Speaker 1: behavior has changed. He went into my room and the
- 54:33Speaker 1: outfit I was wearing was on a chair. He smelled
- 54:36Speaker 1: it and examined it. Then he did the nastiest thing
- 54:41Speaker 1: I've ever seen. He went through my dirty clothes hamper
- 54:44Speaker 1: and examined a few pairs of my panties. I just
- 54:47Speaker 1: let him do it because I knew right then I
- 54:49Speaker 1: was about to break up with him and put him out.
- 54:53Speaker 1: We've been broken up for two weeks and I've had
- 54:55Speaker 1: to block him on social media. I started back answering
- 54:59Speaker 1: his as last week and he has apologized over and over.
- 55:03Speaker 1: He said he's so in love with me that he
- 55:06Speaker 1: can't help himself. He also said he wants to propose
- 55:09Speaker 1: if I'll take him back. Do you think he is
- 55:12Speaker 1: truly in love or will his paranoid behavior continue if
- 55:16Speaker 1: I take him back. Red flags, red flags, red flags
- 55:22Speaker 1: all over the place. You see them all through your letter,
- 55:25Speaker 1: and you already know the answer. You already know you're
- 55:28Speaker 1: asking if he's truly in love. He may be in
- 55:30Speaker 1: love with you, but this is certainly not the way
- 55:33Speaker 1: to express your love to someone you claim to love.
- 55:37Speaker 1: When you went out pre quarantine, he gave you the
- 55:40Speaker 1: third degree when you got home. What you aid, who
- 55:43Speaker 1: was there, what you drank? He was smelling your underwear,
- 55:46Speaker 1: smelling your clothes, going in the hamper, huh, and accusing
- 55:51Speaker 1: you of cheating. I just think he's too jealous. I
- 55:54Speaker 1: think he's too controlling. I think he doesn't trust you.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I think he's too immature. You know, you haven't shown
- 56:02Speaker 1: him any indication where you're cheating. You haven't been out
- 56:06Speaker 1: in a long time. You went out this time because
- 56:08Speaker 1: you got together with your friends after being quarantined for
- 56:11Speaker 1: a long time. He's saying he's so in love with you.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I just think that's an excuse to, you know, justify
- 56:18Speaker 1: his crazy behavior. I think these are all red flags,
- 56:22Speaker 1: and you need to pay attention to him, because you know,
- 56:24Speaker 1: we always want our men to change as women, but
- 56:27Speaker 1: they're not going to change. This is who he is. Okay.
- 56:30Speaker 1: If he's doing it now before you get married, it's
- 56:32Speaker 1: only going to continue and probably get worse. Sorry to say,
- 56:38Speaker 1: you know, if you do take him back, I don't
- 56:41Speaker 1: think you should. But if you do consider taking a back,
- 56:45Speaker 1: don't just marry him and think everything is going to
- 56:47Speaker 1: be rosy and all of that. Don't don't do that.
- 56:51Speaker 1: I don't think he's going to change. I don't think
- 56:53Speaker 1: you should put yourself through this. And if you do,
- 56:56Speaker 1: because sometimes we get weak, sometimes they can talk us
- 56:59Speaker 1: into it. Please please get some counseling and make sure
- 57:04Speaker 1: that his behavior has changed for over quite a while,
- 57:07Speaker 1: not just a few days or a few weeks. You know,
- 57:09Speaker 1: you you this is gonna be rough if you decide
- 57:14Speaker 1: to do that, I don't think you should. All right,
- 57:16Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say that, I don't think you should
- 57:18Speaker 1: take him back. Steve, Lady, This this lot of crazy.
- 57:24Speaker 1: It's wrong on so many levels. You all are too old,
- 57:29Speaker 1: he's too old for this. You've been dating two years.
- 57:32Speaker 1: He's extremely intelligent. Sounds stupid to me, but okay, you
- 57:37Speaker 1: say he's intelligent, I go along with it. Smelling draws
- 57:40Speaker 1: and picking up pennies and looking at stuff on it's
- 57:44Speaker 1: not intelligent. Here's a problem. I go my girlfriends and
- 57:52Speaker 1: have a social life, and you don't check your phone
- 57:55Speaker 1: a lot so you can stay present with your friends.
- 58:00Speaker 1: This was pre quarantine. So your boyfriend want to know
- 58:02Speaker 1: where I went, what I ate, where I drank, who
- 58:04Speaker 1: was there, what kind of men was there? And then
- 58:07Speaker 1: you know, a quarantine hit. You ain't had a chance
- 58:09Speaker 1: to be with your friends. So we got together, had
- 58:11Speaker 1: a great time, all right. So now you you you
- 58:18Speaker 1: trying to make it work, right, so you go out
- 58:21Speaker 1: with your girlfriends. Now he tripped, but you had a
- 58:26Speaker 1: great time. But you'll admit you drank too much. Got
- 58:29Speaker 1: home late. Boyfriend called you three times. Each time my
- 58:32Speaker 1: answer told him I was fine. I'm enjoying myself. I
- 58:35Speaker 1: got home, showered past our Early next morning, my boyfriend
- 58:39Speaker 1: popped up at the house and then here's where the
- 58:42Speaker 1: hell stars. He said, he is convinced that I'm cheating
- 58:50Speaker 1: because your behavior has changed. What did you do? What
- 58:54Speaker 1: did you do? He called your phone? You answer, what
- 58:58Speaker 1: did you do? That convinced him that you're cheating. This
- 59:05Speaker 1: is from this really intelligent man. You've got so just
- 59:08Speaker 1: through logic of deduction. Tell me what you did to
- 59:13Speaker 1: make him think that you were cheating? He went into
- 59:17Speaker 1: your room and outfit I was wearing was on a chair.
- 59:20Speaker 1: He smelled it and examined it. Now, let me ask
- 59:24Speaker 1: you a question. What happens if he misinterprets a smeil?
- 59:30Speaker 1: What to hell? Oh? I voice, sir thought, damn WHOA.
- 59:38Speaker 1: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up in
- 59:41Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, subject why is he
- 59:45Speaker 1: going through my dirty clothes? We'll be back right after this.
- 59:49Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on,
- 59:53Speaker 1: Let's recap this crazy strawberry letters subject why is he
- 59:57Speaker 1: going through my dirty clothes? This man that doesn't trust you?
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: When you go out with your friends, who calls you?
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: And so one night you went out with your girlfriends.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: He called three times, You answered each time, told him
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you was fine. You got home and took a shower,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: passed out. He pops up the next day, goes in
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: your room, picks up the dress that you had on
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and smells it and examines it. And like I said,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: before he left, see what you need to be concerned
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: with us what what happens if he miss interprets a smell.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: See he didn't smell nothing, but he's convinced you cheating.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: But what happens if he if he if he's missingterpets
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: a smell, are you gonna get jumped on? I mean,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: what's his reaction gonna be? Because you ain't found out
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: what his real reaction is once he locks in on
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Now you cheating? Because now he's smelling your Panis he
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: all up in the in your in your underwear? You scared?
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Then he did the nasty thing I've ever seen. He
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: went through my dirty clothes hamper and examined a few
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: pairs of my pannish. I don't think. I think he
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: has a fetish and you just now finding out about it.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: He got a panty fetish? Yeah, yeah, he got a
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: pany fetish. That sounds like a fetish to me. Now
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: he all up in that just a handful of pantis
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: just sniffing. I got a partner, got that. I've seen
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: this up close, befo. He scared me. Wait, yeah, he
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: told me about it. I don't hate dog. You need
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: to go get some help. That's the first time I've
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: ever told a black dude to go get something good ADVICEE.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I just let him do it because I knew right
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: then that I was about to break up with him
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and put him out. We've been broken up for two
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: weeks and I've had to block him on social media.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I started back answering his cause last week. He has
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: apologized over and over. He said he's so in love
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: with me that he can't help himself. Now, let's look
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: at that statement right there. He's so in love with
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: you he can't help himself. So y'all been together two years.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: He's so in love he can't help himself. So what
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: does he do with this so much in love feeling
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: and that he can't help himself? If you get back
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: together with him? What happens to the I can't help myself?
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: It don't go away? Shirley said, Jesus red Flags sister,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: this dude right here, you're gonna have to you gonna
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: have to come to an understanding of exactly what you're
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: dealing with him. This dude's a little bit different now.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: He also said he wants to propose if I take
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: him back. Do you think he's truly in love with me?
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Or will his paranoid behavior continue. Yeah, it's gonna continue.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: What's going to stop him from being so in love
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: with you and not helping himself. What's going to stop
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: him from being jealous? What's going to stop him when
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: he finally gets convinced that you're cheating to act on it?
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Gonna see people like that, They don't, They don't search
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: when I find out what it is that I thank
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you cheating with me on That has to be some
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: more to the story. You ain't even found out what
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: the repercussions is for the cheating. See, you haven't even
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: discovered that yet. And then you said in the letter,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: do you think he's truly in loved me? With me?
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I think the real question is are you truly in
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: love with him? Because while he was going through your stuff,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you say, it's cool, I'm breaking up with him, So
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I don't really know that you truly in love with him.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: You didn't say that, no where in the letter. All
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you got is this real jealous dude. So if I
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: were you, I would be a little bit concerned, yeah,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: with this jealous paranoia because once he is convinced that
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: you are cheating, which you are not, and he gets
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: the smelling stuff and missing turpets. Once smell, what's gonna
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: be the consequences? And if you got to do all
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: of that? I just smell these panties. What is this
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: cigar smell? Exactly? Why your party smell like cigars? Where
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: you being? Steve smoked cigars? He dragged you into it.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: What you go write in on on the letter? On it?
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Now you over that see him and everything. So lady,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: if I wire you, I would be a little bit concerned.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Any questions about this letter? Guys, I mean she put
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: in here, yeah, that they love the Lord. They both
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: love the Lord and have stable careers, and all us
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: love the Lord. Yeah, exactly all of us got stable careers.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: But we're not at the house melanow mates pen Oh
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: my god, so crazy, all that bloody Lord and all
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: the Scott stable. I'm not in there smelling Marge's drawn
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: and then he just pops up over her house unannounced. Yeah,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: these are too many red flags. It's just too much.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: So what if he pops up over his house and
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: he think you cheated over your house? This dude, Yeah,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: this dude is difficult. I just don't want her to
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: get weak because he's begging her back, you know, and
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: take him back because she thinks he's going to change.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I don't want that to happen, because that will that
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: has happened, you know, so many times before. Well, anyway,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you know, don't take him back. Please post your comments
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: and Facebook. Coming up at forty six minutes after the hour,

- 1:06:14Speaker 1: listening to the stew Junior is here with what sports talk?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Let's go Junior. Yeah, this is a little different. I
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: want to start off a little different. Uh did Johnson?
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: You know a Shark Week on Discovery Channel as one
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: of my favorite weeks a TV is Shark Week. What
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: they had to rumble in the reef Mike Tyson versus
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: jaws this food. See, he's not gonna make the fight. Yeah,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: he's not gonna make the fightal to Dwill because he
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: said he wants to confer his fears and swim with sharks.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: First of all, day bite too, Mike, you need you
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: need to day bite too. Yeah, why you're black behind
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: down there? Okay, this is what got me up. Look
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: at this. He gets in there, he has to go
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: through training to train how to learn how to swim
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: with sharks, the dudes and the dunce. Well, his trainer
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: shows up missing all and a leg due to a
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: shark attack. Did He tells Mike, first thing, we need
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: to do what we listened it to you. Yeah, you
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: don't see blind people telling people how to drive. He
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: showed up with a whole right leg missing and a
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: level all and said, Mike, this is what we're gonna do.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: I don't really believe he did it, but Mike did.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Mike did conquer his fears sharks. He did get into water,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: and he was down there with some bullsharks man and
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: he just messed around with water for them for a
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: little while. But congratulations, Mike got get to the fight
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: on the twelve, not sitting up here playing with you
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: by this man. And then in other news, what was
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: the name of bull one bull sharks? Yeah, he out
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: there and I don't I don't even care. I don't
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: know it's a shark. It's just a shark. I saw
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: all I need to know. And I don't even know
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: where black people get the design to want to swim
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: with sharks. Well, this is the first time I've watched
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Shark Week for years now. I've never seen a black
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: person on Shark Week, Shark Month, Shark Yell, Shark Centric. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: see something that big in the water. Shark Sharks don't
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: really attack whale, they don't really fool with them, you know.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: But man, it was proud of Mike man he did.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: He did a break thing. He conquered it, fear next up,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: next up, Will Smith is gonna be on that this week.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: That's his next thing. He wants to swim with sharks
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: to see black people started one black Perdy going to
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: hit him another. But we're not going on this show.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: None of the water County Dog. I don't even like
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: swimming with fish, let alone shots aout doing it. No,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: but grag ladies of Mike. He still got to fight
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: against Roy Jones Junior, September twelve, on paper of You.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: We're gonna watch that fight though I'm watching. Oh yeah, man,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: we got to do that all right, Thank you, Junior.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Carla with
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: her music news It's gonna be good too. Right after this,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, Carla, come on girl, what
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: you got music news? What you got girl? You know
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: it's trendon. You know what's going on to hip hops, females,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: the hottest women in the game, the rappers, Cardie B,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Megan v Stallion, Jail Your Girl, they got together. They
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: did a collabo Hana song Let's Call Wop, and the
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: internet and social media everybody has been going crazy about
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: the song and the video. They dropped a video on
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Friday as well. Now, okay, wait, Carla, you can say it.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Girls say It's just Cardie Bee's booms were just out,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: just boobages everywhere everywhere. I had to get another television.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: What it was just really never Oh yeah, that's all
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I wanted to say. Well, some of the celebrity appearances
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: in the video included Kylie Jenner. Folks got a problem
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: with hun in the video because they was like, she
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: shouldn't be in the video. You know, it was just
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: about the sisters in the video. But anyway, Normani and
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: other video and celebrity influencers they were in the video anyway.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: The lyrics, the lyrics to the song a lot of
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: people feel are too much, too much sex talk for
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: artists that have a very young fan base. Hour However, however,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: some people argued that these rappers, these female rappers, are
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: highlighting their sexuality. Uh. Millions, millions upon millions watch this
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: video premiere and you know it is what it is. Um,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I think it's a double standard. Then nobody says nothing
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: when men see what they say and they watch the
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: videos and in the minute the women say it, it's
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: all bad. It's it's that's true. It ain't double standard.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Uh huh, um. I think you know, listening to the lyrics,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: they're they're out there, they're a clean version of course
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: that you're gonna hear on the radio probably go yeah,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: when we go to break if, you'll probably hear the song. Um.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I just think anything that you know, we were talking
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: about it off the air, anything that is adult driven
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: like this at being a mother, you have to censor
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: stuff for your kids. You just have to these kids.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: My daughter is exposed to so much, yea, more than
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: we were fast. It's hard for me to keep up
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: with everything. She comes in the house. You'll say something
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: me and my husband turn around ten where she hit
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: up from. Yeah, he was watching the whole time. And
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I'll tell you TikTok will expose them to everything very
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: very fast. Yeah, very so. I mean you just gotta
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: be a parent. You gotta raise your kids, you gotta
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: monitor what's going on. Yeah, I mean, you know, this
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: is the world we live in now. It used to
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: be when we were growing up, you ain't going down there,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: and then you didn't go down there. Well, you ain't
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: going down that. Coom, I zoom, call, I'll skype, I'll
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: do whatever. I'll face my room, I'll be there. So
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: it's very different. Call us right, because she's raising a
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: young girl. I saw the video. You know, if it
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: was just for grown people, they can say what they
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: want to say. But I listened to the lyrics and
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: I just it's sending just the wrong message to women.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: It is now you old, okay, and I understand that,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: but it's still sending the wrong message to women. I
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: got I got that. I'm you could you could say
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Steve is old, but yeah, I'm old and old is
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: the goal. And so it's just sends the wrong message
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: to a lot of women. That is just about sex. Now, look,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: do they have the freedom to flaunt their sexuality? Yes
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: they do. Are they artists? And they could do it
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: anywhere they want to boom boom do. I like Cardi
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: bat yelp. I ain't got no problem with that. I'm
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: just saying the video it's like, it's like the twerque video.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: Fascinating video. You know, I didn't know they were singing it.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I watched, I know it. But it's just tough for
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: young girls to see that and pattern itself after that
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: and and try to and try to live that out.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: They don't have the money that these artists have to
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: live it out. They may not have the mental capacity
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: to recover from doing the things that this suggest. That's
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: the point, that's right. So parents, parents, stay on monitor
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: as much as you can. Yeah, all right, you're listening to.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Oprah Winfrey put Brianna Taylor's picture on the cover of
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: her omagazine for the September issue. Oprah has now gone
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: a step further by putting that cover on twenty six
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: billboards in the Louisville, Kentucky area. Oprah and the O
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: magazine team plan to amplify Brianna's story and the fight
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: for justice by erecting a billboard for each year of
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: her young life. Each one will feature her image with
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: a call to action that reads demand that the police
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: involved in killing Brianna Taylor be arrested and charged. You
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: can visit until freedom dot com. Until Freedom is the
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: national social justice organization that recently announced that it would
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: be moving its entire team to Louisville. Let's go, oh,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: let's go oh yeah, yeah, I love it that each
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: brings us closer. Yeah, black people in power right there? Yeah, yes,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: justice for Brianna Taylor, say her name. Absolutely. And then
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: we got Nick Cannon voting for Kanye West. See what
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: see how it mixes? Yeah, see it's I'm telling you, man,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: there's a way to do everything, and there's a Wrong's
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: the right way in the wrong way, it just causes
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: your way. Don't make it the right way. That's some wisdom, right,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: that's to said, you've learned that old life. Yeah, that's
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: some wisdom for real. Yeah, all right, we'll have more
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some trend news
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour. Thirty
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour, we'll be right back. You're
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: listening to show. In entertainment news, Nick Cannon says he
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: is going to vote for none other than guess who's
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Steve noticed said he voted for Kanye. He said it,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: He's voting for Kanye West. This was while he was
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: in the airport in n LA. TMZ asked him what
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: did he think about Kanye running for president. Nick responded,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I love it and I'm going to vote for him
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: because we need another black man in power. You know what,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: it's not a black men in power. Okay. I think
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: I think Kanye was in power when he started these
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: the gospel choad the church. I think he was in
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: power with these Jeezys and Adidas. I think he's doing
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: great work. He made his billion and you know this
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: here this president run this to take votes away from Biden,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: which I understand he just said he wanted to do. Well.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Then what you're saying is you're doing this just so
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Trump can be president. And if that's what you're you're
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: you're not doing this to win, You're doing this to
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: take votes away from Biden. That's that's brother. Do you
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: understand what's happening in this world? Hey, let me tell
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: y'all something. If y'all want to understand what's really you
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: should watch this special on Netflix about immigration. Okay, Netflix
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: is trending. It's called immigration something. I don't have any
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna look it up, but buddy, let me tell
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: you something. I watched it over the weekend. Oh my goodness.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: What the Trump administration when he first got in and
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: he stopped all of those it used to be you know,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: isis was here to collect illegals that were in this
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: country that we had criminal records and warrants and stuff.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Immigration Nation. Yeah. Then the focus right after he got
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: in it became jess all all in, everybody, everybody, go,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: get everybody, and man, it's some horrible stories on there
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: about is. We have to check it out. It's some
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: horrible stories. Man. All right, Well, Nick, at least Kanye
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: knows he can depend on next vote. But we're moving on.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: We know what to do. Please go to when we
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: all vote, dot org and registers so we can make
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: sure that we are counted. This election coming up. It's
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: our last break of the day. It is the last
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: break of the day. In the other the head, if
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: you got a lot of hair on your chin and
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: you're missing a little bit of hair on the top
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: of your head, the hair top needs to go. Okay
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: needs to go. I got to do with the last
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: break of the day. If you got a lot on
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: your chin, keep that, but what's on top and it's
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: next spinning out let that go? Okay, he's this is
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: spoken from a bald man. These are words from the
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: completely A lot of brothers that won't come on the
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: side us, join us, the brother walk with us. Coming
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: up with some closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Steve Harvey in forty nine minutes after right after this,

- 1:19:34Speaker 1: it's been a good Monday week. Yeah, it's great week.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: This this whole this voting thing, everybody m hm um.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: We were talking off the air, me and this team here.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Our country is in a crisis. I mean Carlin mentioned,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: who would have ever thought that it wouldn't be safe
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: for your child to go to school because of a pandemic.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Who would have thought that doing a pandemic that America,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: old great America, with the best doctors, the most money,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: the best everything, would have a fourth of the world's
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: cases of corona or fourth of the world's deaths from corona.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: And yet we're only four percent of the population. Who
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: would have thought that I wouldn't have Who would have
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: thought that twenty twenty would have been this way? Who
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: would have thought that we would have a president that
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: doesn't wear a mask? Who would have thought that we
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: would live in a country where a man says that
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: this pandemic is a hoax and didn't take it seriously.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Here is a man who said, when it was twelve
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: hundred cases in New York, in two weeks, it'll be
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: down to zero. Who would have thought that we would
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: have a president when they were talking about the now
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: over one hundred and sixty thousand deaths, that he would
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: other the statement it is what it is. Who would
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: have thought that this president would come in and resind
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Docca that he doesn't care about immigration? That just who
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: any of this man? And now we've got the nerve
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: the audacity of Kanye to run for president. And then
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Kanye come out over an article over the weekend and
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: admit it that he is trying to take votes from
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: Joe Biden. Wait a minute, man, and that he's not
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: walked going to walk into the White running into to
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: run for the White House. He's walking in. Hey, look, man,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: this is not a game, y'all listen to me. And
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: then on top of that, Nick Cannon turns out and
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: says he's gonna vote for Kanye. These are two well
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: off people. Everybody who got some money where they can
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: turn around and they can make statements like this and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: survive it. Who I represent on the radio? Who we
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: wake up for every morning? Me Shirley Carler, Jaye Kier
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: and Tommy Who and Monica. Who we wake up for
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: every morning is not for the wealthy. We wake up
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: for the masses. The people who made us the Steve
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, the people that made us to Kings
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: of comedy, the people that gave us comedy careers, radio careers,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: TV careers. That's who we wake up to help get
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: through life, to help that you get off to a
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: great day. Kanye got a billion dollars, he got time
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: for this foolishness. But you're gonna take votes from Joe Biden.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Do you know that that means you're handing votes to
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Donald Trump. Rudy Giuliani actually came out and said he's
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: good for Trump. He quietly thinks that Kanye Steele is
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: a big support of Trump. He's got to be if
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: your objective is to take votes from from Joe Biden,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: black people, people of color, young people in hippop We're
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: nothing to be fooled by this foolishness. This is serious
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: business here. This country is in trouble, don't you see it.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Can't stand by and let this boy because he wants
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: to be a damn rapper call himself the next president.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: The birthday party, This is ridiculous. We got no time
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: for this foolishness. We need justice for Brianna Taylor. We
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: need justice for Floyd, We need justice for Aubrey. We
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: need somebody in the White House that's not so divisive
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: in this country. We need we need programs put back
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: in place to help people to get back on the feet.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: We need people who are sympathetic to people who are
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: out of work. And this COVID thing, Man, this crisis
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: that we're end after November, Man, this thing gonna get
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: worse and you're gonna need somebody in there with a
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: heart that cares about people. Kanye for president. We ain't
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: got time for this foolishness. You can put me on
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: the shade room, the blue room, the dark room, in
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: any other room you want to say, and this here,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: we ain't got time for this foolishness. Here. We have
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: to get to the polls and vote. We have to
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: prove that black lives matter. We can make a difference, y'all.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: We can make a serious impact in this election if
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: we all go to when we all vote dot org,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: if we all make sure we're registered, and we all
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: early vote, and we all absentee vote, and we all
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: show up at the polls to vote. Because listen to me, man,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: the fix is in. They gonna try, they try out
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: all ready to make the primary so difficult to vote,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: to discourage you from voting in November. This president is
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: scared to death. But do not listen to the polls, y'all.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: We have to show up and vote. Remember last time
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: they said Hilary was killing him in the polls. Remember
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: that he's the president and we the masses, cannot afford
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: four more years of this guy. It's the policy, it's
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: the divisiveness. You've got more some white supremacist groups raising
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: up now because they think they have a friend in
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: the White House. Come on, y'all, Kanye is not presidential.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: This is not a game. Don't get deceived voting for
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: Kanye is not a vote for black people. Voting for
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Kanye is a vote for Donald Trump, and he ain't
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: for black people period. When we all vote, dot org
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: sign up, make sure you register. Let's get to these polls.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: Let's vote that stop some of this racial injustice. That's
